- 0:00OK, let's let's check out this video together.
- 0:03This is something that came up as a video that was shared, I
- 0:08think it was a day after a day after the attacks in Israel in
- 0:12October a few years ago. This is an imam in Australia.
- 0:17And please correct me if I'm wrong, but there are people here
- 0:21in Australia who have been arrested, charged, gone before
- 0:25the courts for much, much less than what this spiritual leader,
- 0:34this head of his, you know, leader within his community has
- 0:37said. Australians have gone to jail.
- 0:41Australians have been charged, gone to court for much less than
- 0:44what this gentleman is saying. And I'll, but don't worry
- 0:48because you know, the council of imams, whatever they call
- 0:51they've, you know, they've, they've had a good little, good
- 0:53little talk, talk to him, asked him to explain what he meant.
- 0:58I'm pretty sure I'm very confident that what he says in
- 1:02this video that we're about to see, we, we can all be.
- 1:05He clarified exactly how he feels and exactly what he meant.
- 1:11So what I ask is why, why has our government allowed people
- 1:17like this into our country, into the country of Australia?
- 1:22Why are they allowed? Why are they allowed to stay?
- 1:25Check out this video. A day after the October 7 Hamas
- 1:36attacks, Sheikh Ibrahim Dadoun addressed a large crowd in La
- 1:39Kemba. I'm smiling.
- 1:41And I'm. Happy I'm united.
- 1:45And it was these comments that brought swift condemnation from
- 1:48political leaders. It's a day of courage.
- 1:52You hear what he just said. I'm smiling and I'm happy.
- 1:57I'm elated. So I'm feeling.
- 2:01I'm very confident that we all know how he felt.
- 2:05Just. Sheikh Tadun is a member and
- 2:16former director of the Australian National Imams
- 2:18Council. Appearing at the royal
- 2:20Commission, its president said the comments were inappropriate.
- 2:24We spoke to him. Oh, oh, the comments were
- 2:27inappropriate. He was telling everyone.
- 2:30He's telling this large group of people, hey, he was so happy.
- 2:33He's elated that all these people got butchered.
- 2:36So happy, so smiling. And then what have they said?
- 2:42Oh, your comments were inappropriate.
- 2:43We spoke to him. He's very cooperative.
- 2:46He was very cooperative. He knew that it was a mistake to
- 2:51use that language. I would just say that, yeah,
- 2:54he's saying he knew it was a mistake to use that language out
- 2:58in public because they're all, I'll say it, snakes.
- 3:03They're snakes. He is saying that he shouldn't
- 3:07have said that out in public because he knows he shouldn't
- 3:10have said it out in public. He's revealing, revealed exactly
- 3:14how he felt. He's revealed the truth in how
- 3:16he felt he'd rather and all he's all he's admitting to there is
- 3:21that, yeah, it would have been better if I had just said that
- 3:24in the privacy of, you know, a few of our members.
- 3:26Not for everyone to to record, not for the evidence to be
- 3:30there. Again, I'm very confident that
- 3:34there are people who have gone to court, being charged, going
- 3:38to court for much, much less, for saying much less than what
- 3:42this gentleman said. And the killing of innocent
- 3:45people must not be condoned in any way, in any form, in any
- 3:49shape. The.
- 3:49Commission was told the Australian National Imams
- 3:52Council asked Sheikh d'adun to clarify his position publicly
- 3:56after being counselled about the speech.
- 3:59Clarify. Clarify his position publicly.
- 4:03He clarified it. What he said was exactly what he
- 4:07meant. He's elated, joyful.
- 4:10He was happy all those people got killed, massacred.
- 4:14He loved it. He wished there were more people
- 4:16that were killed. What is there to clarify?
- 4:22He did so in a Facebook post the following day, but Sheikh Al
- 4:26Suleiman conceded it did not include an apology.
- 4:29We don't have authority over what the imams do or say, but we
- 4:34did our best to make sure that imams are written what they say.
- 4:38Yeah, yeah, OK. This council mightn't have
- 4:40authority over what imams say, but you know who does?
- 4:43Because they've made sure they have.
- 4:44They have authority over what we say.
- 4:46The Australian government, they, they monitor everything that
- 4:50everyone else says. Why aren't they?
- 4:53Why isn't this gentleman being charged?
- 4:54Why isn't he sitting in a prison?
- 4:57Why hasn't he been charged? If he wasn't born in Australia,
- 4:59why wasn't he sent back to whatever country he came from?
- 5:05Why is he allowed to talk like this whereas everyone else on
- 5:09the Internet has to monitor everything?
- 5:12Has to, you know, be careful with every word that comes out
- 5:15of their mouths. The senior imam also emphasised
- 5:20ongoing ties with Jewish leaders in the wake of the Bondi Beach
- 5:23terror attack. We stood.
- 5:25Shoulder to shoulder by the Jewish community post Bondi.
- 5:28We visited them, we engaged with them.
- 5:30The Commission is expected to hear from further Muslim leaders
- 5:33next week. So at the heart of all this, the
- 5:39Australian government is quite happy to monitor, monitor the
- 5:45Internet, you know, regulate, regulate free speech.
- 5:48They're quite happy to do it for everyone, apparently, except if
- 5:52you're a Muslim leader, except for if you're an imam.
- 5:56Well, then you can say whatever the heck you want.
- 5:58You can celebrate the massacre of innocent people, innocent
- 6:02lives. You can say whatever you want.
- 6:04You can be there joyful, celebrating in the streets,
- 6:08celebrating the murder of unborn children.
- 6:11That's all good. You can say all of that.
- 6:14But hey, if you say, you know, if you're a Christian and you
- 6:18you say some things out of the Bible, we're going to come down.
- 6:22If you're someone walking around, walking past A and this
- 6:25is not to condone what what's happened, but there have been
- 6:28some people who are intoxicated. They've been walking past the
- 6:32Jewish synagogue. They've gone past their, they've
- 6:35raised their hand doing a silly salute, kind of mocking.
- 6:38OK, it's not a good thing to do, but they've been charged.
- 6:42They've gone before the court, they've paid fines.
- 6:44They've had the prospects of going to prison.
- 6:47You know, they get charged for those kinds of things, for, for
- 6:50being intoxicated, for joking. Now, that's not to condone their
- 6:55actions, but still, it seems it kind of pales in comparison to
- 7:00what this imam was saying. He celebrated, he was elated, he
- 7:05was joyful at the massacre of innocent people, at the
- 7:09slaughter of unborn children, unborn babies ripped out of
- 7:13their mothers. Bellies loved it.
- 7:16This is pathetic, pathetic. The Australian government should
- 7:21be ashamed of themselves. But Elbow won't be.
- 7:24And these kinds of people should not be in our country.
- 7:27Islam, Islam does not, does not, is not compatible with the
- 7:34Australian culture, with the Australian way of life.
- 7:37Islam should stay with Islam. It's all my opinion.
- 7:42I'm Jay Fallon. Thanks for listening to Slippery
- 7:46Slope They.
