- 3:36Speaker 3: Come on.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Some of y'all might know her as Auntie Pam or
- 3:42Speaker 1: the founder of Listen.
- 3:47Speaker 3: And the Hush Ministry.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Some of y'all needed, Yes, all right, we have none
- 3:53Speaker 1: other than the beautiful, detalented Ericad. I feel like a
- 4:04Speaker 1: Baptist preachers.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Something that introduce me, and I'm about.
- 4:08Speaker 1: To give a word of something that was a great
- 4:10Speaker 1: introduction though, Thank you so much.
- 4:13Speaker 3: It's an honor to introduce you.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Wow, it's an honor to be in your prisence like
- 4:19Speaker 1: we have.
- 4:20Speaker 3: We met this year. We met this year. I think
- 4:23Speaker 3: it was January or February. It was January. It was
- 4:25Speaker 3: my birthday.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Yes, it was my birthday, and these girls then took
- 4:30Speaker 1: me out and surprised me and you were the nightcap
- 4:33Speaker 1: to my birthday.
- 4:34Speaker 3: So I'm really I'm really excited. You guys.
- 4:36Speaker 1: If you if you don't know what you're gonna know
- 4:38Speaker 1: about the end of this this podcast. She is somebody
- 4:41Speaker 1: to know, like she is the evidence of God's grace.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Like literally, you are the evidence of God's grace. So
- 4:48Speaker 1: I'm super excited about this conversation. But like she said,
- 4:52Speaker 1: we met in January. We met in January, and she
- 4:55Speaker 1: it wasn't the Aretha Aretha Franklin tribute.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Tribute, and maybe she did that.
- 5:04Speaker 1: She did that so fun fact, y'all, y'all know I
- 5:07Speaker 1: always have fun facs about my gifts, right, fun fact
- 5:10Speaker 1: with us That night she allowed three people to get
- 5:15Speaker 1: on stage because of their birthday. They were celebrating birthday.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I thought she was gonna allowed seeing us happy birthday.
- 5:22Speaker 1: She got us to sing, and uh, y'all already know
- 5:26Speaker 1: about the whole Tabitha Brown story. Now, at this point
- 5:30Speaker 1: of my birthday, I had I knew about the opportunity,
- 5:33Speaker 1: but it was.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Not public right.
- 5:36Speaker 1: And when she invited us on stage, she had us
- 5:40Speaker 1: sing what was there?
- 5:41Speaker 3: Giving him something he could feel? And then I had
- 5:45Speaker 3: to do I was the first one. I looked at
- 5:47Speaker 3: her like she came close to me, I thought I
- 5:49Speaker 3: was just yo.
- 5:49Speaker 1: You were.
- 5:53Speaker 3: You was now? I said, okay, but I.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Was enjoying myself because you were like you were just
- 6:00Speaker 1: killing the show. I had never I hadn't experienced you.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I didn't know who you were. I didn't know who
- 6:05Speaker 1: wants Pam. Was My first introduction to you was your
- 6:08Speaker 1: your voice, but Bebby, you entertained like you kept the
- 6:11Speaker 1: room going. It's only certain people that I've experienced like
- 6:15Speaker 1: that that can just hold a room like you did.
- 6:18Speaker 1: And so I was so grateful. So she got us
- 6:21Speaker 1: guide us on stage and we saying she had.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Me do mine twice because you know why, let me
- 6:26Speaker 3: tell you why.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I always like try to do something in my show
- 6:32Speaker 1: to bring the audience in because I don't want it
- 6:35Speaker 1: to be like y'all paid to see me and y'all
- 6:38Speaker 1: just sitting there watching.
- 6:39Speaker 3: I want you to feel. The word of the day
- 6:41Speaker 3: is experience.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I want you to still when you get in the
- 6:45Speaker 1: car at night, be talking about girl. We had a
- 6:47Speaker 1: good time. So bringing somebody on stage, I don't know
- 6:51Speaker 1: who it's gonna be. Didn't know it was gonna be you,
- 6:54Speaker 1: which is now a full circle moment. You know, I
- 6:56Speaker 1: don't think that anything just happens. But I could tell
- 7:00Speaker 1: you were so nervous, and I was like, oh, we
- 7:03Speaker 1: finna get rid of this. So I was like, say
- 7:05Speaker 1: it again, and that second time you gave it okay.
- 7:09Speaker 1: She did not know, she did not know. Afterwards, I
- 7:12Speaker 1: went hugged. I went hugged you, remember, and I was like,
- 7:17Speaker 1: I needed that, Like you said that. I said I
- 7:20Speaker 1: needed this. You said that that night.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Broke me from being afraid of the stage. Come on
- 7:26Speaker 3: that night.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I've been on stages, but normally it's like the church stage.
- 7:30Speaker 3: But but he was preparing you for the stage.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Because shortly after that and we don't know each other
- 7:36Speaker 1: or did not talk.
- 7:38Speaker 3: But after that, remember I messaged you and I was like.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Something is telling me that you gonna be the one
- 7:45Speaker 1: that's gonna be with tapped and you were like, I
- 7:48Speaker 1: don't know.
- 7:49Speaker 3: I can't say, but but I felt it.
- 7:52Speaker 1: But I felt it and it was no because people
- 7:55Speaker 1: were tagging me in the in the post, people were
- 7:58Speaker 1: tagging you and other people from Birmingham. But even though
- 8:01Speaker 1: I was being tagged, I knew it wasn't my.
- 8:04Speaker 3: That was not for me. It was not for me.
- 8:07Speaker 3: And so when I said, wait a minute, it's her.
- 8:11Speaker 1: When you made the announcement, when I say, I was
- 8:13Speaker 1: so happy, still am happy for you having that opportunity,
- 8:16Speaker 1: but just to know that a month or so before
- 8:20Speaker 1: that you were dealing with fear that nobody even knew about,
- 8:24Speaker 1: and that that moment allowed you to see I can
- 8:27Speaker 1: get on this stage. And it prepared the table. Listen, see,
- 8:35Speaker 1: it prepared the table for you to go on and
- 8:37Speaker 1: sit down. And you sat on the table with Tabitha Brown.
- 8:41Speaker 1: And now you're sitting at another table. Come on here, Okay,
- 8:49Speaker 1: this table keeps coming up you in a vain I
- 8:51Speaker 1: don't know nothing about nothing.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I just I know it's my ear list.
- 8:55Speaker 1: So I got to love you to be up this early, okay,
- 8:58Speaker 1: because baby my Auntie lay is down on Saturday. Speaking
- 9:01Speaker 1: of speaking of Auntie, Auntie, Pam, listen, listen, I am
- 9:11Speaker 1: I doing it right. Okay, let me try and let
- 9:13Speaker 1: me try to prepare me. Listen, lease sit.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Down in it.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Yeah yeah you got yeah.
- 9:23Speaker 3: You gotta almost snake to the friend list because man,
- 9:28Speaker 3: you're finish. Sit down there.
- 9:29Speaker 1: When you say them words, what comes after that about
- 9:32Speaker 1: to be powerful?
- 9:33Speaker 3: Not powerful? Powerful? Powerful? Oh my goodness, that's it you. Okay.
- 9:42Speaker 1: First of all, let's start about saying, I have a
- 9:44Speaker 1: I have an actual anti Pam.
- 9:46Speaker 3: You do, I have an actual Auntie Pail.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And how direct she is the Auntie Pam, your your
- 9:53Speaker 1: character Aunti Pam. It reminds me so much of the directness,
- 9:58Speaker 1: so to me, it's a full circle. Mom.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Can we talk.
- 10:01Speaker 1: About how huntye Pam was even created, where she come
- 10:05Speaker 1: from a real auntie because she feel real on TikTok okay.
- 10:10Speaker 1: So Pam is my mom's name. Her name is Pamela,
- 10:13Speaker 1: so that's how I named her. But like just we
- 10:18Speaker 1: don't have those auntie figures like we used to have
- 10:22Speaker 1: back in the day, and so I created her really
- 10:26Speaker 1: by mistake, just being myself. I was raised by my grandmother,
- 10:31Speaker 1: wasn't able to really go outside because baby, when I
- 10:33Speaker 1: say she was saved sanctified and fill with the precious
- 10:36Speaker 1: gift of the Holy Ghost. I ain't well pants till
- 10:39Speaker 1: I was in the fourth grade. Hear me on the
- 10:42Speaker 1: point mallet trips. I had on the blue jean skirt
- 10:45Speaker 1: with safety pins in the middle to go swimming with
- 10:49Speaker 1: blue jean skirt. You know how heavy it was in
- 10:51Speaker 1: that water deep and seeing him, so the whole. My grandmother,
- 11:00Speaker 1: even though she will say safetify to feel with the hollyghost. Baby,
- 11:02Speaker 1: My grandmama had a twenty foot chord on her telephone.
- 11:06Speaker 1: She talked on the phone all day. Her phone went
- 11:09Speaker 1: from the front door to the back. She would have
- 11:12Speaker 1: that cord. I'm not anybody in my family know, so
- 11:15Speaker 1: the whole, the whole talking on the phone.
- 11:20Speaker 3: We don't do that. We text, yeah, we send emails.
- 11:23Speaker 1: So I wanted to just bring back that feel good,
- 11:27Speaker 1: nostalgic feeling of what we experienced growing up, and just
- 11:32Speaker 1: things about our culture that sometimes people may not understand.
- 11:36Speaker 1: We know exactly what it means, but just to bring
- 11:38Speaker 1: in awareness and just to make people smile and take
- 11:42Speaker 1: a brief break from all the chaos and everything that's
- 11:45Speaker 1: going on in the world, to just decompress.
- 11:47Speaker 3: For a few minutes, laugh and literally just smile.
- 11:51Speaker 1: So she was created just as an outlet for me
- 11:56Speaker 1: as an actress and not being able to, you know,
- 11:59Speaker 1: get on stay during COVID as we wanted to. And
- 12:02Speaker 1: then I'm fifty two years old now, so me being
- 12:05Speaker 1: a hold on, stop the prison. Wait a minute, No,
- 12:09Speaker 1: not gonna go by. It gonna pass that you will
- 12:12Speaker 1: how many old?
- 12:13Speaker 3: Fifty? Too? Does she look like.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I need to see your license and registration over there?
- 12:21Speaker 3: I will show because my god, I am fifty two
- 12:26Speaker 3: years old. You know it's true. Yeah, okay, I don't.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I don't, and I will say, you know, growing up,
- 12:35Speaker 1: not being able to go outside and all that. I
- 12:37Speaker 1: didn't understand it then, but I understand it now because
- 12:40Speaker 1: I have been preserved for such a.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Time as this. I didn't live no hard life.
- 12:45Speaker 1: A lot of things that people experience as young women,
- 12:49Speaker 1: I ain't experienced that.
- 12:50Speaker 3: So that's all I can tell you. I was preserved
- 12:53Speaker 3: for now.
- 12:54Speaker 1: I was put up for now, and in my mind,
- 12:57Speaker 1: fifty two years old is too late, but God preserved me.
- 13:01Speaker 3: So I don't look like I'm fifty two.
- 13:03Speaker 1: So I can still do things that other people do
- 13:06Speaker 1: because I've been preserved for now Jesus Erica, Erica, Jesus
- 13:15Speaker 1: Ericas what a collection plate does auntip me?
- 13:18Speaker 3: Does she have a collection plate? Giving information? Will be
- 13:22Speaker 3: on the screen.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Okay, you just you just said a mouthful and speak.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Speaking of preservation, one of the things that I I
- 13:34Speaker 1: believe is that not only do are we preserved physically,
- 13:38Speaker 1: but we're preserved mentally. We're preserved with our hearing. And
- 13:42Speaker 1: one of the things that I heard when you said
- 13:43Speaker 1: listen again, like that whole statement is a command.
- 13:48Speaker 3: It is.
- 13:49Speaker 1: It's a command because that's an art. The art of
- 13:53Speaker 1: listening is real. And so have you ever where did
- 13:57Speaker 1: that whole liss and come into play? I have no idea.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I really don't. People may not believe me. But when
- 14:06Speaker 1: I do the skits, I do not write anything down.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I just press go on my phone and whatever I say,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I don't think about it. I post it and I
- 14:16Speaker 1: leave it. I don't know what it's doing, how well
- 14:19Speaker 1: it's doing, because that's not the motivation of me posting it.
- 14:23Speaker 1: The motivation of me posting it is to release something
- 14:26Speaker 1: for me, y'all just getting the rain drops from what
- 14:30Speaker 1: I'm releasing. I am an artist I am a creative,
- 14:35Speaker 1: and those of us who are creatives, I feel like
- 14:38Speaker 1: God put a little extra chromosome in us, and we
- 14:41Speaker 1: don't think like others, We don't quite function like others.
- 14:44Speaker 1: So in order for a creative to be understood, most
- 14:48Speaker 1: times it's by another creative.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Like we don't really go to sleep.
- 14:52Speaker 1: We lay down, but we don't really go to sleep
- 14:54Speaker 1: because in our mind it's all kinds of things, what
- 14:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna do tomorrow?
- 14:58Speaker 3: What can I do?
- 15:00Speaker 1: It doesn't stop, And so my outlet from that, that
- 15:05Speaker 1: rat race that goes on is to record make other
- 15:09Speaker 1: It makes me feel good to read the comments of
- 15:12Speaker 1: people saying I was having a bad day and this
- 15:15Speaker 1: just like literally just wiped me out. And so no,
- 15:19Speaker 1: when I do videos, if I and I don't let
- 15:21Speaker 1: me let me clarify what Auntie Pam does not do.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I don't talk about everything. So I do this call
- 15:28Speaker 1: to Heaven, which was generated. The first one I did
- 15:31Speaker 1: was in twenty sixteen when Prince died. I couldn't believe
- 15:34Speaker 1: Prince was gone. Okay, I had to call heaven and
- 15:37Speaker 1: find out, first of all, did he have his stuff?
- 15:39Speaker 3: Who gonna do his hair? Do he got his boots.
- 15:42Speaker 1: What's going on? Who is in charge of prince boots
- 15:44Speaker 1: in heaven? And y'all that video went I ain't even
- 15:47Speaker 1: know what viral was. People were sending saying, girl, I
- 15:50Speaker 1: saw this, and I was like, okay, whatever. I went
- 15:52Speaker 1: on about my life, never thought anything else. So then
- 15:56Speaker 1: when Betty White passed, people started in boxing me. Can
- 16:00Speaker 1: you call heaven and see if Betty up there? And
- 16:02Speaker 1: from there with Queen Elizabeth? Hey call and see a
- 16:05Speaker 1: Queen Elizabel. And when I call, like I do know
- 16:09Speaker 1: some story about the person, But I don't call on everybody.
- 16:14Speaker 1: And it's this is not to sound deep or spiritual,
- 16:16Speaker 1: but if I'm if I don't feel inclined to call,
- 16:19Speaker 1: I'm not calling. If I don't feel inclined to make
- 16:22Speaker 1: an anti PAM video that day, I don't do it again.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I'm not doing y'all are enjoying them, and I'm so thankful.
- 16:29Speaker 1: But I do it to keep me sane, and as
- 16:32Speaker 1: a result of me releasing what's inside of me, other
- 16:36Speaker 1: people are blessed by it. What I what I heard
- 16:40Speaker 1: while you were talking was my cup runth over. So
- 16:43Speaker 1: as you think of being like a creative God has
- 16:45Speaker 1: put these things inside of us. Yeah, And so as
- 16:48Speaker 1: he's pouring in the creativity, the peace, the love, like
- 16:51Speaker 1: we have to have a space for it to go.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Especially it's gotta go. I's gotta go somewhere. So as
- 16:57Speaker 1: you're pouring out, like you think, like I just got
- 16:59Speaker 1: to release, right. But the beauty is we get to
- 17:02Speaker 1: enjoy that. That's we're blessed to be a blessing. So
- 17:04Speaker 1: you're He's blessing you with this creativity, with the peace,
- 17:08Speaker 1: the joy, so that you can pour it out on
- 17:09Speaker 1: the other people like you just like you said, they
- 17:12Speaker 1: just I'm just doing it because this is what I need. You.
- 17:14Speaker 3: But she's blessing so many people, man, And that's that's
- 17:16Speaker 3: the part.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Like sometimes we can selfishly look at look at ourselves
- 17:21Speaker 1: and say, oh, well I just need this moment of sovereign. Bro,
- 17:23Speaker 1: you could have grieved about Prince by yourself. I could
- 17:27Speaker 1: have you literally could have grieved about Prince by yourself.
- 17:30Speaker 1: But because you were open, yeah, and transparent. I think
- 17:34Speaker 1: God blessed that because you were thank you O the spirit.
- 17:37Speaker 1: God blessed it because you were open to it. And
- 17:40Speaker 1: so you going back, we talk about creatives because we
- 17:44Speaker 1: all in the room are creatives, right, I think it
- 17:47Speaker 1: gets I think the discouraging part for me, and I
- 17:50Speaker 1: want you to speak to this. It's seeing lacks of
- 17:55Speaker 1: baisical or lack of effort and the art of comedy, podcasting,
- 18:04Speaker 1: people just throwing stuff together because they have the influence
- 18:08Speaker 1: to do it, not the purpose to do it. How
- 18:11Speaker 1: do you manage those emotions of seeing people? How have
- 18:14Speaker 1: you managed it in the past, because you like it's
- 18:17Speaker 1: like like you've been doing stuff, You've been preparing stuff,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and then boom, God just blew your mind. Like, so,
- 18:22Speaker 1: how has that journey been for you being able to
- 18:25Speaker 1: not whether you compare yourself or not or not, how
- 18:30Speaker 1: has that journey been Looking at other people excel in
- 18:34Speaker 1: different ways?
- 18:35Speaker 3: Is like why is this?
- 18:37Speaker 1: I think that it's important for us to just be
- 18:40Speaker 1: real and honest. Anybody who is doing anything, for the
- 18:44Speaker 1: most part, has looked at someone else and.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Said, like, dang, what am I doing wronger?
- 18:50Speaker 1: Why is it this and not that? And why is
- 18:54Speaker 1: it them and not me? And what keeps me grounded
- 18:58Speaker 1: is again not to because you know, some people can
- 19:01Speaker 1: get super deep and spiritual, but why do we read
- 19:05Speaker 1: things that we don't believe. Why would I get discouraged
- 19:09Speaker 1: by your journey when I know that the race is
- 19:11Speaker 1: not given to the swift, nor to the strong, but
- 19:14Speaker 1: to the one that endures to the end.
- 19:16Speaker 3: So instead of looking at you.
- 19:19Speaker 1: My name was on the same line of names as
- 19:22Speaker 1: your name was to sit with Tabitha Brown. It can
- 19:26Speaker 1: be your time, but not your turn. It wasn't my turn.
- 19:32Speaker 1: It was your turn. It was time because the opportunity
- 19:36Speaker 1: was presented to all of us, but it wasn't my turn.
- 19:39Speaker 3: So go back to your message and read what I said.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I said I'm happy for you because what that lets
- 19:44Speaker 1: me know is the line is moving. And literally, God
- 19:49Speaker 1: watches how we celebrate other people who are doing the
- 19:53Speaker 1: same thing, who may not be doing it as good
- 19:55Speaker 1: as we think they should be doing it. He watches
- 19:58Speaker 1: how we celebrate. So my advice to people who are
- 20:02Speaker 1: creative and who are struggling with celebrate other people because
- 20:06Speaker 1: God is watching. He's watching your sincerity. He's watching. Oh,
- 20:11Speaker 1: I see her little podcast. Ain't nothing little about nothing
- 20:14Speaker 1: that I'm doing. I don't have a small business, I
- 20:16Speaker 1: have a big b Oh I saw her doing her
- 20:18Speaker 1: little auntie. Ain't nothing little about nothing that I'm doing. Literally,
- 20:21Speaker 1: my body ain't little, my eyes ain't little. Ain't nothing
- 20:24Speaker 1: little or small about me, and so I don't allow
- 20:28Speaker 1: people to speak that on me. But it's all in
- 20:30Speaker 1: how you celebrate others and when you're genuine. God said, oh, okay.
- 20:35Speaker 3: I see that. She was really really happy for Jess.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I tried to get tickets and could not, So because
- 20:42Speaker 1: I couldn't, I made sure every day leading up to it,
- 20:44Speaker 1: even the day of Hey girl, you're gonna do amazing tonight.
- 20:48Speaker 1: God watches how we celebrate others in their victories. And
- 20:53Speaker 1: that's that's so important because hater competition, all those words.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Even though people say, oh yeah, everybody isn't a hater,
- 21:02Speaker 1: the haters do exist. They do, and so it is
- 21:06Speaker 1: normal for a human being to feel like they're not
- 21:08Speaker 1: where they think they should be. But learn to celebrate
- 21:12Speaker 1: others because in Amus it says that stuff will start happening,
- 21:16Speaker 1: so and that literally is what happened.
- 21:19Speaker 3: I still don't I be looking back Facebook, right, men
- 21:24Speaker 3: say you're real is doing really good?
- 21:26Speaker 1: And I look down at the numbers and it say
- 21:28Speaker 1: a million, and I'd be like, what, So to think
- 21:31Speaker 1: it's really overwhelming, because when you really look at the
- 21:34Speaker 1: numbers social media and a platform is given to you,
- 21:39Speaker 1: but a lot of people don't take it responsibly, and
- 21:42Speaker 1: I do. When you've been given a platform, you are
- 21:47Speaker 1: responsible for what comes out of your mouth. You are
- 21:51Speaker 1: responsible for what comes across your feed. So there are
- 21:55Speaker 1: certain things and we were talking about that right before
- 21:57Speaker 1: we started. It's certain people that should never sit in
- 22:01Speaker 1: this chair. I don't I'm not worthy. But you have
- 22:05Speaker 1: to protect your brand and the need for success should
- 22:10Speaker 1: not make you compromise your integrity. There are some stages
- 22:14Speaker 1: I will never go on. There are some places I
- 22:18Speaker 1: will never go because I'm not willing to compromise who
- 22:22Speaker 1: I know I'm called to be. That this is ministry,
- 22:26Speaker 1: really yes, and I think that's where especially and we
- 22:31Speaker 1: can go there here on this platform and we go
- 22:33Speaker 1: there all the time, whereas not on You talk about
- 22:36Speaker 1: the responsibility, but it's a responsibility, especially to those who
- 22:41Speaker 1: believe in the God that we believe in, because our
- 22:44Speaker 1: creativity is an extension of God's evidence that he is God. Like,
- 22:52Speaker 1: what do I look like going around just putting out
- 22:55Speaker 1: anything when it's a reflection on the person.
- 22:59Speaker 3: That I call off? Like I'm calling you, Daddy, and
- 23:02Speaker 3: I'm out here acting the food.
- 23:05Speaker 1: And that was a journey for me. So some people
- 23:08Speaker 1: know and some people know. I was licensed, I'm an
- 23:12Speaker 1: elder in God's Church and went through the whole counsel,
- 23:16Speaker 1: sat before the counsel. They had me in there four
- 23:18Speaker 1: hours answering questions. I've been there and I did that.
- 23:21Speaker 1: And although I did it, I did it as unto God.
- 23:24Speaker 1: But I knew when I did it, I was not
- 23:27Speaker 1: called to the pulpit. And I feel like the church
- 23:30Speaker 1: only gives us one place to go. All of us
- 23:34Speaker 1: have a call, but everyone is not called to the pulpit.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Even though I can, I knew in my gut this
- 23:43Speaker 1: is not where I'm supposed to be. And honestly, now
- 23:47Speaker 1: sitting here in twenty twenty four, this is what I
- 23:51Speaker 1: know that this is where what I'm supposed to do.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I know that my gifts may look different and a
- 23:56Speaker 1: lot of people may think this is not ministry. People
- 23:58Speaker 1: may say that there's she's just doing a podcast. That's
- 24:01Speaker 1: not ministry. But ministry does not look the same for everyone.
- 24:05Speaker 1: And I feel like the church has forced us. If
- 24:09Speaker 1: you say you got a call on your life, Okay,
- 24:11Speaker 1: the only place you can do do it is in
- 24:13Speaker 1: the pool pig. And that's why we have so many
- 24:15Speaker 1: people erroneously placed in that position and mishandling that position,
- 24:20Speaker 1: because we're forcing them to be in a box. And
- 24:23Speaker 1: God said, go So I go on TikTok, I go
- 24:28Speaker 1: on Facebook, I go in Walmart, I stop, and I
- 24:31Speaker 1: talk to people. That is ministry for me, and your
- 24:35Speaker 1: ministry may look different than mine, but we're all called
- 24:39Speaker 1: to something and to someone. And I'm finally okay with
- 24:44Speaker 1: where where I'm who I'm called to, and what I'm
- 24:47Speaker 1: called to do. And it may not look conventional, but
- 24:50Speaker 1: that's okay because Jesus wasn't conventional.
- 24:54Speaker 3: He was not He wasn't in a church building. What
- 24:57Speaker 3: church did he go to?
- 24:58Speaker 1: Not?
- 24:59Speaker 3: Now?
- 25:00Speaker 1: Not? Not? Now?
- 25:02Speaker 3: Can you pull his church attendance? Huh? Jesus whose Sunday
- 25:08Speaker 3: school class was?
- 25:09Speaker 1: He was in the streets.
- 25:10Speaker 3: That man was in them streets, the streets. Jesus was
- 25:13Speaker 3: for the streets. She said, who church did? Because I
- 25:19Speaker 3: want to know who church did? He go to? Betha Baptist. Jesus.
- 25:25Speaker 1: That man was in the center good, That man was
- 25:28Speaker 1: was at the at the at the pool.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Yeah, he was at folk houses rarely was he rarely?
- 25:39Speaker 3: We keep saying that that's our example. Oh oh.
- 25:45Speaker 1: You Okay, my brain is going wild right now because
- 25:50Speaker 1: this is so exciting. You mentioned brands when I say,
- 25:58Speaker 1: you have a whole brand.
- 26:00Speaker 3: E p K, epic, epic, get it right.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Okay, So you go from let's let's go back to
- 26:08Speaker 1: that place, because were you doing entertaining where you're entertained?
- 26:11Speaker 1: Consider yourself entertainer when you was a business woman, like
- 26:13Speaker 1: because in my mind it's like you're a coach, you're
- 26:15Speaker 1: a business woman. You you're fast, initia, you do it.
- 26:18Speaker 1: You're doing everything. So how did you know when to
- 26:22Speaker 1: step not even step away from that, but zoning your
- 26:24Speaker 1: focus on the entertainment part.
- 26:27Speaker 3: So I haven't.
- 26:28Speaker 1: That's that's the thing I've always people always have said,
- 26:31Speaker 1: ooh you so extra. You do everything what you can't do,
- 26:35Speaker 1: and I you, you gotta be careful what you allow
- 26:37Speaker 1: people to speak and when you receive it, you gotta
- 26:40Speaker 1: be careful how you receive it. So when people will
- 26:43Speaker 1: say stuff like that about me, like dang, your hell
- 26:46Speaker 1: gotta be done. Your watch gotta match your purse, gotta
- 26:48Speaker 1: match you. You so extra and that used to hurt
- 26:52Speaker 1: my feelings until I remember I sat with that thing.
- 26:55Speaker 1: It's nothing wrong with me. I'm extra and you're basic.
- 27:00Speaker 1: I do too much, you don't do enough. So instead,
- 27:04Speaker 1: and that's not being facetious. I'm saying, you really have
- 27:07Speaker 1: to stop allowing people to put things on you in
- 27:11Speaker 1: a negative way. And so who said that because I'm
- 27:15Speaker 1: doing anti paalem that I gotta stop being a business coach?
- 27:19Speaker 1: Who said that because I'm a business coach that I
- 27:22Speaker 1: can't be an entrepreneur.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Is it a balancing act?
- 27:25Speaker 1: Absolutely, but I can do exceedingly abundantly. Exceedingly and abundantly
- 27:33Speaker 1: does not mean one thing at a time, not for me.
- 27:36Speaker 1: So I started my boutique in twenty and sixteen. I
- 27:40Speaker 1: walked away from corporate America to pursue full time entrepreneurship
- 27:45Speaker 1: and I did my boutique. I started out selling eyeglasses
- 27:50Speaker 1: at my kitchen table for ten dollars on periscope. You
- 27:54Speaker 1: remember periscope, That's where I started, and from there it
- 27:58Speaker 1: has grown to a sea figure brand.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Wow. We go live.
- 28:03Speaker 1: We do live sales, basically personal shopping. I cater to
- 28:06Speaker 1: the plus sized woman because I'm a plus sized woman,
- 28:08Speaker 1: and I got tired of going places and everybody had
- 28:11Speaker 1: on the same dress.
- 28:12Speaker 3: That's why I started.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Okay, y'all live, people can go find something and all
- 28:18Speaker 1: the big girls being there with the same lame Brian dress.
- 28:20Speaker 1: No ma'am, no ham, no turkey. So that is that's
- 28:24Speaker 1: why I started. And I always I love cute eyeglasses.
- 28:27Speaker 1: I think that was another connection for us. I love frames.
- 28:30Speaker 1: I think they are an accessory. People just think ear rings,
- 28:34Speaker 1: but no, baby, a frame is a good accessory. So
- 28:37Speaker 1: I started doing just the things that I loved and embraced.
- 28:40Speaker 1: So I still I went live three times last week
- 28:44Speaker 1: with my business.
- 28:46Speaker 3: I coached last week.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I did three mentorship sessions last week. I recorded two
- 28:51Speaker 1: anti PAM videos last week. So it's all about balancing.
- 28:57Speaker 1: And I'm a wife, I got a doing that's in college.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I got a sun like, I'm a lot of things.
- 29:03Speaker 1: But I'm just getting to the place where I know
- 29:06Speaker 1: and I used to not know how to balance.
- 29:08Speaker 3: I didn't like.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I would be downstairs working till two three o'clock in
- 29:13Speaker 1: the morning. My kids knew if I wasn't in the bed,
- 29:16Speaker 1: oh she downstairs working. But we have to balance, especially
- 29:19Speaker 1: when you do more than one thing. So I haven't
- 29:22Speaker 1: stopped doing anything. I've just learned how to balance.
- 29:25Speaker 3: So what's the secret? Excuse me? A good planner, a
- 29:30Speaker 3: good planning for yourself, or you have an assistant. No,
- 29:33Speaker 3: I'm I'm I'm Jesus is my manager at this moment. No, really,
- 29:42Speaker 3: this is the it's not a secret. On Sunday. I
- 29:46Speaker 3: use Sunday afternoon to plan my week.
- 29:49Speaker 1: And I know, you know, everybody comes out with planners,
- 29:51Speaker 1: and we got all these cute planners stacked up in
- 29:53Speaker 1: the corner and we don't use them. But literally, the
- 29:56Speaker 1: more that is on your plate, the easier it is
- 30:00Speaker 1: is to forget something on your plate. So I have
- 30:02Speaker 1: to plan. I have to use my Google calendar. I
- 30:05Speaker 1: have to you know, know what I'm gonna do that week.
- 30:08Speaker 1: So you can't call me Monday and ask me to
- 30:11Speaker 1: do something Wednesday because my week has already been planned.
- 30:15Speaker 1: So you have to use No, you have to know
- 30:17Speaker 1: is a complete sent My week is planned on Sunday.
- 30:22Speaker 1: So if you want to get in on August the
- 30:24Speaker 1: fifth through whatever, If.
- 30:26Speaker 3: I ain't got it by tomorrow, it ain't happening.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Capin And you gotta be okay with that, because if
- 30:33Speaker 1: you don't, you'll get overwhelmed. So I just I try
- 30:36Speaker 1: to plan some weeks, I nail it some weeks. I
- 30:39Speaker 1: don't be honest with yourself, give yourself grace. Some weeks
- 30:43Speaker 1: you're not gonna emotionally or mentally be able to complete
- 30:47Speaker 1: everything that's on your list.
- 30:49Speaker 3: You got next week.
- 30:51Speaker 1: This this is so good, like you're as a creative
- 30:55Speaker 1: and the influencer that you are. I think that it
- 31:00Speaker 1: could come across that Oh I just got it together.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Oh you look Oh no, no, you know what I'm saying,
- 31:07Speaker 1: Like it could look a certain way. And that's something
- 31:09Speaker 1: I've been guilty of, like looking at saying like I
- 31:12Speaker 1: can't do this because everybody got this blah blah blah.
- 31:14Speaker 1: But when you put yourself in the community or the
- 31:16Speaker 1: company of these people, you say, hey, I got these
- 31:19Speaker 1: struggles too.
- 31:20Speaker 3: But this is how I overcome this.
- 31:21Speaker 1: And I think the beauty in that is we were talking,
- 31:24Speaker 1: you were talking earlier, you touched on the listen. I
- 31:28Speaker 1: think one of the biggest problems that we as people
- 31:33Speaker 1: have is not understanding proper communication. I feel like our
- 31:38Speaker 1: overall communication skills suck. If we're hurt. Instead of us
- 31:43Speaker 1: saying that we're hurt, we'll just be hurt by ourself
- 31:47Speaker 1: and we'll project that in other ways instead of saying,
- 31:50Speaker 1: you know what, just when you said whatever, that kind
- 31:53Speaker 1: of hurt my feelings. Instead of doing that, I'll go
- 31:56Speaker 1: and start a whole smear campaign against your whole podcast.
- 31:59Speaker 3: And you're like, I don't even know what happened.
- 32:02Speaker 1: We've got to learn how to effectively communicate when you're tired,
- 32:07Speaker 1: when you don't have Yesterday, let's just be real. I
- 32:10Speaker 1: had a whole schedule of what I was supposed to
- 32:12Speaker 1: do yesterday. I went out back on my back porch
- 32:15Speaker 1: because that's my place. Like I like being on the
- 32:18Speaker 1: back porch because it's just you know, it's just good
- 32:20Speaker 1: for me. And I was supposed to be out there
- 32:23Speaker 1: looking for products for the fall, for my fall line,
- 32:27Speaker 1: and you know what I was doing, fell asleep. He
- 32:32Speaker 1: woke up, got me something to eat, went on TikTok
- 32:35Speaker 1: for a minute. I looked up. It was three o'clock.
- 32:38Speaker 1: At that moment, I felt the Holy Spirit say, now
- 32:41Speaker 1: you could play. You can go on and do what
- 32:44Speaker 1: you got to do. It Literally I was. I had
- 32:47Speaker 1: to repent because I was supposed to ben through at
- 32:50Speaker 1: three o'clock. Here, I am just starting at three o'clock,
- 32:53Speaker 1: which had me downstairs in my office working until eleven
- 32:56Speaker 1: o'clock last night, knowing that I had to get up
- 32:59Speaker 1: this morning and come here. So no, ma'am, just because
- 33:03Speaker 1: I know, we can know what to do and not
- 33:05Speaker 1: do it. I know what to do, but I don't
- 33:08Speaker 1: do it all the time. And that's the human part
- 33:11Speaker 1: of us. Just because you know, we know how to
- 33:14Speaker 1: dress things up. Of course, when I come on the podcast,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna look a certain way. But again, you have
- 33:19Speaker 1: given me a platform. I can use this platform for
- 33:22Speaker 1: good or I can use it for bad. I can
- 33:24Speaker 1: sit here and act like baby, I got it all together. Yep.
- 33:28Speaker 1: My business makes six figures. And da da da da
- 33:30Speaker 1: da da da da da. Girl, When you make six figures,
- 33:34Speaker 1: your taxes is five.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Listen, so you're not making six. And then the work.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Associated with that again, we major and minor and minor
- 33:46Speaker 1: and major, And what is important is being true to
- 33:49Speaker 1: your authentic self. You can you can be successful, but
- 33:53Speaker 1: you also have to be honest. You don't get you
- 33:56Speaker 1: know how.
- 33:56Speaker 3: This song say. All day long, I've been with Jesus,
- 33:58Speaker 3: that's all you're lying.
- 33:59Speaker 1: You ain't been with him all day, because if you
- 34:01Speaker 1: was with him all day, you wouldn't act the way
- 34:03Speaker 1: you act. Sometimes, you wouldn't say some of the stuff
- 34:06Speaker 1: you say, you wouldn't think some of the So you
- 34:08Speaker 1: don't be with him all day. You might be with
- 34:10Speaker 1: him most of the day, but you don't be with
- 34:12Speaker 1: him all day. And that's the thing. What I've learned
- 34:15Speaker 1: is to be myself. And if you cannot accept me
- 34:19Speaker 1: flaws and all, I have been all twenty twenty four
- 34:23Speaker 1: in a season of goodbye? Now, how has that season been?
- 34:29Speaker 1: Because the goodbye is strong. People who I never would
- 34:34Speaker 1: have thought, people who I never would have imagined, have
- 34:41Speaker 1: fell off. And in my opinion, I'm still mean. I'm
- 34:46Speaker 1: still aracle, I'm still you know, I like to drop
- 34:49Speaker 1: fish on Fridays. On Sunday, I'm gonna be in the King.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I'm still mean. I don't have a driver. You asking
- 34:55Speaker 1: me about it. I don't have an assistant. Jesus is
- 34:58Speaker 1: my manager. When I say that I don't have a
- 35:01Speaker 1: team of people, I haven't arrived. But you gotta pay
- 35:05Speaker 1: attention to people who fall off before you fully arrive.
- 35:09Speaker 1: And you gotta be okay with saying I ain't mad,
- 35:13Speaker 1: we ain't fell out, but where I'm going, unfortunately, there's
- 35:17Speaker 1: no room in the car for you. You are touching
- 35:23Speaker 1: areas you are, and you gotta be okay with that.
- 35:27Speaker 3: And I am.
- 35:31Speaker 1: When I say you so annointed, like you just touched
- 35:34Speaker 1: the area. I literally post about this yesterday and God
- 35:38Speaker 1: had to show me. You know, when I'm growing up Erica.
- 35:42Speaker 1: I don't know if you experienced this, but to be
- 35:46Speaker 1: be real, to be down its to it's to be
- 35:51Speaker 1: like consistent with the community and consistent with who you
- 35:56Speaker 1: come came up with.
- 35:57Speaker 3: So it was just hard for me to break.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Away from old relationships, no matter whether it was romantic
- 36:06Speaker 1: or not. And I feel I felt like I left
- 36:12Speaker 1: I was denouncing my real card or the authentic card.
- 36:17Speaker 1: When I started seeing different relationships, like relationships just kind
- 36:22Speaker 1: of like take a turn or I'm like, I'm genuinely
- 36:25Speaker 1: confused because the honest to God truth is I'm not
- 36:29Speaker 1: the same person that I was even six months ago.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Like I'm continuously evolving. So my personal prayer has been God,
- 36:38Speaker 1: give me room in my heart to accept the new
- 36:43Speaker 1: people that will help me enhance your kingdom. You know
- 36:47Speaker 1: the song No New Friends that that was a trend,
- 36:51Speaker 1: you know, and you know it was a great beat,
- 36:55Speaker 1: but the message really you can miss out on a
- 37:00Speaker 1: golden opportunity by closing yourself off saying these are the
- 37:04Speaker 1: people that I'm gonna deal with. Nobody else can get
- 37:08Speaker 1: in this in my circle. So this is it, this
- 37:11Speaker 1: is all?
- 37:11Speaker 3: And what if?
- 37:12Speaker 1: What if your next breakthrough is outside of that circle?
- 37:17Speaker 1: Come on, and you have purposely told yourself that was
- 37:21Speaker 1: something that I've I'm not gonna say I struggle with,
- 37:25Speaker 1: but I go in. I don't care if I heard whatever,
- 37:29Speaker 1: because I've been you know people oh Shia Diva, Oh
- 37:32Speaker 1: she did, Oh she did, And.
- 37:33Speaker 3: They don't even know me. I ain't never had a
- 37:34Speaker 3: conversation with me.
- 37:36Speaker 1: People will tell you how somebody is, but they won't
- 37:39Speaker 1: tell you what they did to contribute to them.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Being that way.
- 37:44Speaker 1: So get to you have to get to know people
- 37:46Speaker 1: for yourself. I don't do secondhand information. You get to
- 37:51Speaker 1: know people for yourself, and what you will find is
- 37:54Speaker 1: that sometimes you have closed yourself off to somebody who
- 37:58Speaker 1: may be the very blessing that you've been and the
- 38:01Speaker 1: people that you are holding onto, are taking up space,
- 38:05Speaker 1: being unproductive, being unsupportive. When people say stuff like I
- 38:11Speaker 1: saw your little podcast X, it's certain little qualifications and
- 38:15Speaker 1: certain things you could say that will get you booted
- 38:17Speaker 1: out of my life real fast. So you're it's almost
- 38:21Speaker 1: like the keen in your ear or having your ear
- 38:24Speaker 1: to you got your hands in your ear, because it's
- 38:27Speaker 1: like if they're dropping those seas, what are they saying
- 38:29Speaker 1: behind my back?
- 38:29Speaker 3: And so? And I don't want to have to think
- 38:31Speaker 3: about it.
- 38:32Speaker 1: I don't want to have to wonder, you know, if
- 38:35Speaker 1: I if we're out there eating, I go to the bathroom,
- 38:38Speaker 1: am I the time?
- 38:38Speaker 3: I don't want to have to wonder about that?
- 38:40Speaker 1: Why was that description so funny?
- 38:44Speaker 3: I don't want to worry. I don't want to have
- 38:46Speaker 3: to worry about that when I'm in the bathroom reapply
- 38:48Speaker 3: my lipstick. I don't want to be like about see
- 38:52Speaker 3: I go back.
- 38:53Speaker 1: In there and turn the whole table. I can't deal
- 38:55Speaker 1: with folks like that. So that is why I have
- 38:58Speaker 1: been in a season of goodbye. If you cannot effectively
- 39:05Speaker 1: communicate with me and tell me what's going on where
- 39:08Speaker 1: I'm going right now? As of right now, I ain't
- 39:11Speaker 1: got time to trying to figure it out, not right now,
- 39:15Speaker 1: because you know how much energy that takes. When you
- 39:17Speaker 1: could just say you hurt my feelings. You didn't show
- 39:21Speaker 1: up for me like I like I thought you should have.
- 39:24Speaker 1: We could be done and over with that and girl,
- 39:26Speaker 1: go get us a two piece from churches and be
- 39:28Speaker 1: be through. But the gag is that's not the problem.
- 39:30Speaker 1: The problem is I don't know where I fit in
- 39:32Speaker 1: your life. Now you just can't say that though, Yeah,
- 39:36Speaker 1: like I don't. I don't know where I fit and
- 39:39Speaker 1: look God to be.
- 39:40Speaker 3: Now you know what, hold on, hold on, hold don't.
- 39:44Speaker 3: Oh you just sent a whole chill up unt. So
- 39:47Speaker 3: the problem they don't know where they fit.
- 39:49Speaker 1: In my life. I never told you you didn't fit
- 39:52Speaker 1: in my life. But people be looking assuming. Okay, she
- 39:56Speaker 1: got this, she got that. She probably ain't got time
- 39:59Speaker 1: for when I ever said that. I never said that.
- 40:03Speaker 1: So you have just helped me because that that resonated
- 40:07Speaker 1: down in my lower stomach. Oh, because you just told
- 40:11Speaker 1: you just told us that you big, ain't nothing small
- 40:13Speaker 1: about you, that you you're you're Auntie Piem and all
- 40:19Speaker 1: of y'all, y'all who you are a big deal. Wow,
- 40:24Speaker 1: Like for you to even be here for me, it's
- 40:29Speaker 1: such a like the honor, like the sea. You're planning
- 40:34Speaker 1: seeds right now that you don't even know, like the
- 40:37Speaker 1: people we talk. Let's talk about your community, because these
- 40:39Speaker 1: folks ride for you for real. Go and speak to
- 40:42Speaker 1: your community bad. When I leave here, I'm gonna go
- 40:49Speaker 1: down to Pennis. I need to go get me some
- 40:51Speaker 1: some stockings for church tomorrow because mispriced them having a program.
- 40:56Speaker 1: They having Friends and Family Day tomorrow at church. So
- 40:58Speaker 1: I got to go get me some stocks because I
- 41:00Speaker 1: don't go to church without no stocking.
- 41:02Speaker 3: Because that's that of the devil.
- 41:05Speaker 1: I ain't gonna see, y'all. I ain't that kind of Christian.
- 41:08Speaker 1: It just don't. It ain't good for me because see,
- 41:10Speaker 1: my thighs and stuff be rubbed together, so that stocking
- 41:13Speaker 1: provides a layer of protection. Yes, it's a be a
- 41:19Speaker 1: fence all around my thigh.
- 41:21Speaker 3: You see what I'm saying.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Yes, either I'm gonna put a stock in or a
- 41:25Speaker 1: gird along. I don't know why y'all don't want to
- 41:27Speaker 1: wear no girdle these days. And y'all just be flipping
- 41:30Speaker 1: and flopping all down and then the folks who don't
- 41:32Speaker 1: wear girdle look like they be the ones that want
- 41:35Speaker 1: to shout every singing.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Everything, everything be going, let everything that have breath. Yeah, no,
- 41:48Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I should I shouldn't have asked. You know you.
- 41:54Speaker 1: I ain't either listen, But that is when it's in you.
- 41:58Speaker 1: It's in you. And like this why I feel like
- 42:02Speaker 1: your community. I'm saying your community like I'm not a
- 42:05Speaker 1: part of it. When I see her own live and
- 42:07Speaker 1: I'm on Tia, I bet actullent, she see my name, like,
- 42:15Speaker 1: but this is my community, though it is so wide.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Like literally, when I look at my analytics or I
- 42:23Speaker 1: look at the people, I have older people, I have
- 42:27Speaker 1: younger people. I had to do a auntie Pam had
- 42:30Speaker 1: to go to Bethel Baptist Church and this lady was like,
- 42:33Speaker 1: my kids told me about you. And the kids was
- 42:36Speaker 1: there and they were like eighteen nineteen. They were like,
- 42:39Speaker 1: you are so funny. And so I think that I
- 42:43Speaker 1: have black people, white people, old people, young people, mama's aunties.
- 42:48Speaker 1: Like one lady said that her ninety year old mama
- 42:53Speaker 1: she had to go down. I said, now you know
- 42:55Speaker 1: that Obama phone ain't gonna hold TikTok. You got mama
- 42:58Speaker 1: over there on their slow p You know Auntie. You know,
- 43:02Speaker 1: Mama can't watch Aunty on that little phone. I said,
- 43:05Speaker 1: get her iPhone so she can see Auntie Pam now
- 43:09Speaker 1: she But seriously though listening reading you know, comments from
- 43:14Speaker 1: people of all ages saying, you remind me of my grandmama,
- 43:19Speaker 1: or you remind.
- 43:19Speaker 3: Me I got an aunty girl. It's just like you.
- 43:22Speaker 1: When Auntie Pam is planning all the family events and
- 43:25Speaker 1: all of that, that's somebody in everybody's family that you
- 43:30Speaker 1: can resonate. And so I feel like that is one
- 43:33Speaker 1: good thing is that my community it can be a
- 43:37Speaker 1: melting pot because there's something that you can relate to.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Like the video that I did talking about Auntie Pam
- 43:45Speaker 1: was talking to the young mothers about all the stuff
- 43:48Speaker 1: that you heard growing up, you know, about the baby,
- 43:50Speaker 1: not the doctors now tell you don't.
- 43:52Speaker 3: Get a baby, nothing but milk.
- 43:54Speaker 1: That was hilarious and y'all I didn't realize I'm thinking, Okay,
- 43:58Speaker 1: let me just do this.
- 43:59Speaker 3: I didn't think it. I don't never know. I never
- 44:02Speaker 3: know what video is gonna do.
- 44:04Speaker 1: What. Yeah, and that video people were sending to their younger,
- 44:08Speaker 1: you know, and so I just be like, okay, God,
- 44:11Speaker 1: just whatever you want me to say or.
- 44:13Speaker 3: Do, because it's relatable. Like you talk.
- 44:16Speaker 1: You don't talk about being in the air and doing,
- 44:19Speaker 1: you know, being the airplane. You talk about human things.
- 44:23Speaker 1: And I think that's the beauty of comedy. Like I'm
- 44:25Speaker 1: not a comic at all. I love to laugh now,
- 44:26Speaker 1: I'm funny to me. It might not be fun to y'all,
- 44:29Speaker 1: but I laugh in my set.
- 44:30Speaker 3: That's all that, mad. Okay, that's all that mad.
- 44:33Speaker 1: If you funny to you, you funny to you. Okay,
- 44:37Speaker 1: you don't need nobody to proof. I probably woudn't put
- 44:39Speaker 1: it put it out like that. However, I think that's
- 44:43Speaker 1: the beauty of you connect like you connect to something.
- 44:47Speaker 1: And one of the things I love about you, Erica,
- 44:49Speaker 1: and I don't you I have not told you this. It's
- 44:53Speaker 1: how you are relatable, Like you'll do the AMPTI pay thing,
- 44:57Speaker 1: but you don't live there.
- 44:59Speaker 3: You don't live there.
- 45:00Speaker 1: And what I mean by that is when you go live,
- 45:03Speaker 1: I know I'm expecting a word from you, and I'm
- 45:06Speaker 1: expecting you went You went live two times where I
- 45:10Speaker 1: it was just a pinnacle point for me. The first
- 45:12Speaker 1: time was when you allowed me all your live and
- 45:16Speaker 1: we were we end up talking. You were lining different
- 45:19Speaker 1: people out of the community on the live, and we
- 45:20Speaker 1: were talking about covering each other, how women go big
- 45:23Speaker 1: back and forth and just being jealous and all this
- 45:26Speaker 1: stuff like that. Man, we talked about that, and it
- 45:29Speaker 1: just I was like, Man, this lady real like that.
- 45:32Speaker 1: That's when I was like, I gotta follow her for real.
- 45:34Speaker 1: The second one was when you were I don't know
- 45:38Speaker 1: if you remember this, you were you were discussing that.
- 45:42Speaker 1: You was like, I've been covering people for a long time,
- 45:45Speaker 1: I'm about to tell my story, and you start telling
- 45:47Speaker 1: your story. And one of the ways the things I
- 45:50Speaker 1: connected with is not being ashamed of any abuse that
- 45:54Speaker 1: I've I've experienced, and so in that place, what broke
- 45:59Speaker 1: the fear or frustration for you to start speaking out love.
- 46:04Speaker 1: I definitely feel like a lot of people would would
- 46:09Speaker 1: feel a lot better if they would use their voice.
- 46:12Speaker 1: We always say, you know, use your voice, tell your story.
- 46:15Speaker 1: But on the flip side of that, we have to
- 46:18Speaker 1: provide an environment that is conducive and safe for people
- 46:22Speaker 1: to tell their story because a lot of times you
- 46:25Speaker 1: don't want to tell your story for fear of judgment.
- 46:27Speaker 3: You don't want to, you know, for fear of all, right,
- 46:31Speaker 3: did you know that such and such and such a
- 46:32Speaker 3: such a happening?
- 46:33Speaker 1: But when you mentally, you have to graduate from worrying
- 46:38Speaker 1: about what people will think and focus more on the
- 46:41Speaker 1: freedom that you're about to walk in. Because can't nobody
- 46:45Speaker 1: tell on me better than I could tell on me?
- 46:48Speaker 1: Can't nobody tell my story better than you can? Try
- 46:51Speaker 1: to draw context clues from what you see, but nobody
- 46:56Speaker 1: really knows or can articulate your story better than you.
- 47:01Speaker 1: And for years, like I said on that Live like
- 47:04Speaker 1: because you know, when you present yourself and people think,
- 47:07Speaker 1: you know, oh she girl, she yeah, that's itir, but
- 47:10Speaker 1: they have no idea of the internal struggle.
- 47:13Speaker 3: So I think it's important for people.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Maybe if people understood, like I used to be a
- 47:19Speaker 1: mean girl, like what oh yeah I did. But if
- 47:23Speaker 1: not making an excuse, but if people knew that me
- 47:27Speaker 1: being a mean girl parallel me getting my head knocked
- 47:31Speaker 1: into the wall when I got home, then maybe they
- 47:33Speaker 1: would have a little more empathy. Or maybe it's not
- 47:37Speaker 1: that I walk into a room and I'm a B word,
- 47:39Speaker 1: but I have a guard up for a reason because
- 47:42Speaker 1: I been I don't been crossed so many times when
- 47:46Speaker 1: I did trust people, when I did give my whole
- 47:49Speaker 1: self to people. So now this is what you get.
- 47:52Speaker 1: You're gonna get this exterior. But we don't sit.
- 47:55Speaker 3: Down and really genuinely want just tell me your story
- 48:00Speaker 3: because we don't want to really know. We don't really
- 48:02Speaker 3: want to hear.
- 48:04Speaker 1: We don't really want to take the time to internalize
- 48:06Speaker 1: and hear your journey. We just want to We want
- 48:10Speaker 1: to abbreviate, We want the cliff notes. And sometimes I
- 48:13Speaker 1: think the cliff notes are fine. But sometime your your
- 48:18Speaker 1: telling your story is not really to free you. It's
- 48:22Speaker 1: it's really to free someone else. And I don't know what.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Like I said, when I go on Live, some days
- 48:27Speaker 1: I may be AUNTI Pam some days. I went on
- 48:30Speaker 1: TikTok the other night and I was laying in bed,
- 48:33Speaker 1: just chilling, waiting on Jamaica to get to to Vegas,
- 48:37Speaker 1: and I turned into a whole business coach.
- 48:40Speaker 3: We were talking about business, like you never know.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Where where I'm gonna where I'm gonna come at because
- 48:46Speaker 1: I don't I don't pre plan it. You know, a
- 48:48Speaker 1: lot of my social media folks say, well, you need
- 48:50Speaker 1: to plan your content, and that's hard for me because
- 48:54Speaker 1: I wanted to be genuine.
- 48:55Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. I can kind of do it,
- 48:58Speaker 3: but not how most people do.
- 49:00Speaker 1: OK.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Today, you got Erica coming next week. I can't do that.
- 49:05Speaker 1: But the beauty about that is like, that's the evidence
- 49:07Speaker 1: that you go with God, Erica, like, ain't no way
- 49:10Speaker 1: you are this successful where you are. And this is
- 49:15Speaker 1: the mind blowing part, Erica, that there is still more.
- 49:19Speaker 1: And I just when I say that, the very thought
- 49:22Speaker 1: of that back in twoenty and sixteen. And I don't
- 49:26Speaker 1: know if any of the people from periscope that have
- 49:29Speaker 1: been following me for a long time maybe on here,
- 49:32Speaker 1: but this is something that I said way back then.
- 49:35Speaker 1: I said, God, as you take me high, keep me low.
- 49:40Speaker 1: And that was before Michelle Obama cy this, get that clear.
- 49:47Speaker 1: I literally said that. And I think I can go
- 49:51Speaker 1: back and pull the proof because you know, we need
- 49:53Speaker 1: receipts nowadays. But when I tell you every day that
- 49:57Speaker 1: is my daily prayer. I don't want to get to
- 50:00Speaker 1: the level of success to where people can't touch me.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I don't want to get to the level of success
- 50:05Speaker 1: where I'm nasty the folks, and but I don't want
- 50:08Speaker 1: I don't want that. That's not what I want. I
- 50:11Speaker 1: want people to be able to relate. Relatable. You've used
- 50:15Speaker 1: that word so many times. I was just on the
- 50:17Speaker 1: phone with one of my mentors and what he told me.
- 50:21Speaker 1: He is a comedy guru. He told me that, e,
- 50:26Speaker 1: the reason why you are meeting success is because you
- 50:30Speaker 1: are relatable. Don't ever lose that. And so that's really
- 50:35Speaker 1: important to me for me to stay grounded, for me
- 50:37Speaker 1: to stay consistent.
- 50:39Speaker 3: Now it's work.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Please don't think that doing all of this podcasts that
- 50:45Speaker 1: you just arrived here and the mic drops down and Hi.
- 50:49Speaker 1: It's so much work that goes behind the scene. And
- 50:52Speaker 1: what we have to do is educate people. Because people
- 50:56Speaker 1: lead with lifestyle marketing. They go down to the Lexus
- 51:00Speaker 1: dealership and the Mercedes and stand in front of a car.
- 51:03Speaker 1: They go over the Graystone and stand in front of
- 51:05Speaker 1: the house, and y'all on social media, y'all think that's
- 51:08Speaker 1: they house or that's their car. So it's lifestyle marketing.
- 51:13Speaker 1: And so those of us who want to use social
- 51:16Speaker 1: media and our influence responsibly, we need to have vulnerable
- 51:20Speaker 1: moments we need to let people know that we are human.
- 51:23Speaker 3: We need to let people know. You know what, I
- 51:25Speaker 3: remember you went live one.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Day on your on your own TikTok and you was like, today,
- 51:31Speaker 1: just ain't it like I'm having a day? And people
- 51:34Speaker 1: started encouraging, people started sewing again. If we would just
- 51:40Speaker 1: allow ourselves to be human. You don't know what's on
- 51:44Speaker 1: the other side of that. You was on their crime
- 51:48Speaker 1: because you really was like, y'all, I don't even know
- 51:51Speaker 1: why I'm doing this, but today has been a day.
- 51:54Speaker 1: The encouragement that people gave you, and you knew it
- 51:57Speaker 1: had to be genuine because it putt on your heart,
- 52:00Speaker 1: aren't streams? I feel like we owe ourselves a responsibility
- 52:04Speaker 1: to be honest. Yeah, and just show people reality. This
- 52:08Speaker 1: is reality. Some days, yes, I'm on top of the world,
- 52:11Speaker 1: but some days I'll be scruggling, like with a c
- 52:15Speaker 1: with a case, squaggling, squaggling. It's so interesting what you're saying.
- 52:22Speaker 1: It's interesting that I'm about to lead it to My auntie.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Pam actually had this conversation with desert Ree and I
- 52:28Speaker 1: and she mentioned that because I was I'm doing this
- 52:34Speaker 1: new blog thing, I was got encouraged to blog.
- 52:37Speaker 3: Oh wow, yeah, blogging. We've blogging today.
- 52:39Speaker 1: Okay, but I got encouraged to blog, and I was like, well,
- 52:45Speaker 1: I don't know if I want to do that. But
- 52:46Speaker 1: then sometimes you just listen to people because people need
- 52:48Speaker 1: to know the process. Not only do they need to know,
- 52:50Speaker 1: but people are interested in the process for that very reason.
- 52:53Speaker 1: These cameras don't come up by themselves. The life right,
- 52:56Speaker 1: don't come on. The scheduling on YouTube don't just happen
- 52:59Speaker 1: by itself. The editing, it don't happen by itself. The promoting,
- 53:02Speaker 1: the marketing, it does not happen happen by itself. And
- 53:05Speaker 1: so she was like, I was just popping up the
- 53:08Speaker 1: camera like anytime I thought about it, and she said,
- 53:12Speaker 1: you gotta give me a warning. He was like, I
- 53:15Speaker 1: said what. She was like, I want to make sure everything.
- 53:18Speaker 1: I was like, no, that's the whole that's the whole point.
- 53:20Speaker 1: And she was like, it's interesting how different the generations
- 53:24Speaker 1: are because in my generation you had you, you weren't
- 53:26Speaker 1: going outside with no bunny. I'm not going but we
- 53:29Speaker 1: still ain't going outside. I'm still not going outside.
- 53:30Speaker 3: With no bunny.
- 53:31Speaker 1: But people are flexible with themselves enough to say that's okay.
- 53:35Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 53:36Speaker 1: I said, that's so educatedly they flexible with that flexible
- 53:43Speaker 1: because you don't want to offend people and my decisions
- 53:45Speaker 1: about how they carry themselves. So we want to say that.
- 53:50Speaker 1: It just circles back to being real. Every time I
- 53:53Speaker 1: go live, I'm not gonna have these lashes on now
- 53:56Speaker 1: nine to nine percent of the time I am, because
- 53:58Speaker 1: I don't like all headed.
- 54:01Speaker 3: However, I'll go on there with no makeup. I'll go
- 54:05Speaker 3: on there.
- 54:05Speaker 1: I'll do my makeup in the morning because again, I
- 54:08Speaker 1: don't want to get you know, one of the things
- 54:10Speaker 1: that I always say on my TikTok, y'all don't run me.
- 54:13Speaker 1: I go live when I want to, I'm gonna send
- 54:16Speaker 1: a video. I'm gonna make a video when y'all don't
- 54:18Speaker 1: run me. Because when when we get into that, that's
- 54:22Speaker 1: a lot of pressure. Like the way some of these
- 54:24Speaker 1: people be on social media. Baby, I don't even see
- 54:27Speaker 1: how they're taking a bath, because how you on here
- 54:30Speaker 1: four day in the morning and at dog thirty at night?
- 54:34Speaker 1: When is you them bathed? When is you to fix
- 54:38Speaker 1: food for your family? When did the children get picked
- 54:41Speaker 1: up from the camp. You've been before the people all
- 54:44Speaker 1: day on TikTok. I can't do that, So I'm not
- 54:50Speaker 1: gonna go if I want to go live and I got.
- 54:53Speaker 1: I went loud the other night with my gown on,
- 54:55Speaker 1: and we we had a whole. It turned maybe it
- 54:59Speaker 1: was a gownge o w n baby, one of them
- 55:01Speaker 1: gowns you get from down there on nineteenth Street at Cottons.
- 55:04Speaker 1: You remember Cotton's department store in Ensley. Yeah, I had
- 55:09Speaker 1: on a gown. It was a little sleeveless gown with
- 55:11Speaker 1: the little boat right there. They had a little chined
- 55:13Speaker 1: boat right there. They had little pitches on it. Listen,
- 55:17Speaker 1: I had on a gown. And so one of the
- 55:20Speaker 1: ladies she said, oh my gosh, your gown is so cute.
- 55:23Speaker 1: I turned that into a hole again when you when
- 55:26Speaker 1: you are your authentic self.
- 55:28Speaker 3: That lady was waiting on somebody else. She said, oh my,
- 55:31Speaker 3: I thought I was the only one that still wore gowns.
- 55:33Speaker 1: And I said, see, a gown can be a signal
- 55:36Speaker 1: to your mate as to what is to come.
- 55:39Speaker 3: See when they see that gown, they already know it.
- 55:42Speaker 3: When they see that momoves and when they see that.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Nighty yay, it's a lesson in the gown.
- 55:52Speaker 3: Come on, but I had on my gown, I was
- 55:55Speaker 3: on tip top and everybody started.
- 55:57Speaker 1: I said, what color your gown? And y'all they were
- 56:00Speaker 1: because it was something that they could relate to. Now,
- 56:03Speaker 1: what if I had, I ain't gonna. Ain't gonna go
- 56:05Speaker 1: lie because I mean, girl, you have to be authentic.
- 56:09Speaker 1: The reality is you're not gonna be all made up,
- 56:13Speaker 1: all done up twenty four to seven. So I think
- 56:16Speaker 1: that that's why people will gravitate towards your platform because
- 56:20Speaker 1: it's relatable. It's somebody that they can relate to. Oh yeah,
- 56:24Speaker 1: she doing this, but she had good days, she had
- 56:26Speaker 1: bad days. She have days where she dressed up, she
- 56:28Speaker 1: has days with you know, and.
- 56:30Speaker 3: That's just me. I can't keep up with doing all
- 56:32Speaker 3: that every day.
- 56:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a lot. It requires a lot of energy.
- 56:36Speaker 1: Even people think that it's just overcord.
- 56:39Speaker 3: No my mind.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Let me let me get an aunty because Untie Pam
- 56:42Speaker 1: ain't showing up. Said first of all, Auntie Pam ain't
- 56:45Speaker 1: showing up every day. Let's let's start there. People like, wait,
- 56:50Speaker 1: you ain't make but one video last week. That's all
- 56:53Speaker 1: I had capacity. Come on, that's all I had, and
- 56:57Speaker 1: you worried about you laughing and I'm badly getting up
- 57:01Speaker 1: out the bed.
- 57:01Speaker 3: Come on, So I can't give you what I don't have.
- 57:05Speaker 1: And so I think that's another reason why a lot
- 57:08Speaker 1: of people get burned out, because you're trying to give
- 57:10Speaker 1: from a place that's empty.
- 57:14Speaker 3: You're pulling from an empty well. Ain't nothing in there.
- 57:17Speaker 1: Your hand all the way down to you know how,
- 57:19Speaker 1: when you get down to the bottom and you got
- 57:21Speaker 1: to tip off, ain't nothing.
- 57:23Speaker 3: Else in their baby. So I can't give. And that's
- 57:28Speaker 3: another thing.
- 57:29Speaker 1: People who are content creators are in this whole social
- 57:33Speaker 1: media thing you have to train your audience to. I'm
- 57:39Speaker 1: not gonna call a name, but there are some social
- 57:42Speaker 1: media I think they started out really well and then
- 57:46Speaker 1: they allowed the audience to dictate. So now they way
- 57:51Speaker 1: over and left field, so far away from the original
- 57:54Speaker 1: intent of what they were doing because they allowed them.
- 57:57Speaker 1: You gotta be strong in if you don't feel like it, Hey,
- 58:01Speaker 1: you know what, next week, we're gonna have no podcast
- 58:04Speaker 1: because I can't. And there will be times like that,
- 58:06Speaker 1: and people gotta understand that that some days we don't
- 58:09Speaker 1: have it to give. Yeah, come on, and if I
- 58:12Speaker 1: don't have it to give, I ain't finna, I ain't
- 58:13Speaker 1: fin to find it.
- 58:15Speaker 3: You just gonna have to wait until I got something
- 58:17Speaker 3: to give.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Man, you you out here freeing, and forget the people being.
- 58:23Speaker 3: There's a rage, there will there be one. Are we coming?
- 58:28Speaker 3: Are we coming to the if you don't have it? Oh,
- 58:32Speaker 3: come on, you got a little too long.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Come on, no more change listen than listen.
- 58:39Speaker 3: My soul is Lord, Yeah, our Lord. Now we gotta stop.
- 58:46Speaker 3: We're up. I feel I feel, I feel a turn.
- 58:49Speaker 3: Don't do this.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Listen, but I'm so for real, Like just listening to
- 58:53Speaker 1: you really just just kind of solidified help me solidify me, right,
- 58:59Speaker 1: So even like, yes, today I was having a conversation
- 59:01Speaker 1: with my best friend, one of my best friends. She called.
- 59:03Speaker 1: She's like, hey, what you got going on today? And
- 59:04Speaker 1: I said, oh, I did, I'm doing this, I did this,
- 59:07Speaker 1: did this. I still got this to do and this
- 59:09Speaker 1: to do. She's like, oh, that's a lot, and I
- 59:12Speaker 1: was like, I mean to me, that's normal. That's my
- 59:16Speaker 1: that's my normal day. And I've become okay with that
- 59:20Speaker 1: because the reality is.
- 59:23Speaker 3: If you if he's given it to you.
- 59:25Speaker 1: He's giving you the capacity to manage it, and it's
- 59:28Speaker 1: our job to learn how to manage it well. Right,
- 59:32Speaker 1: So multiple lanes, that's cool. I think I've I'm learning
- 59:36Speaker 1: how to I like to use the word to have harmony.
- 59:39Speaker 1: I love it to have harmony versus balance, because I
- 59:42Speaker 1: don't really think something is always going to be pulling.
- 59:44Speaker 1: So to me, when I think of a balance, I
- 59:46Speaker 1: think of a scale like it's even, and I don't
- 59:49Speaker 1: think that just life. I don't think there's really a
- 59:52Speaker 1: time where anything is really even. But I think what
- 59:55Speaker 1: we learn is how to have things flow and have
- 59:58Speaker 1: harmony together. So like if you I love that, if
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: you're in this lane, that's cool. I know I'm flowing here,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: but this thing is here, but I know I can
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: always go back to it. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: learning how to make the things have harmony. And I
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: think that's where I am and being okay with that,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Like I do a lot of it. I do a lot,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: but you know what, that's what I was touching on earlier.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: People who don't function the way that we function, it
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: is a lot to them. They will say stuff like
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: you know your friends said man that's a lot, or
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: you always doing something where you at.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: Oh, I'm so and so you always but to us,
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: this is who.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: We are, and you gotta at some point you have
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: got to be okay with embracing this is my normal,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: and my normal may be abnormal to other people, but
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: this is my normal and you gotta own that thing
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: and you gotta stand in it, you know, Okay, I
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: understand that this may not be what you do.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: But this is what I do.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: And it's okay for us to walk in harmony with
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: you doing your thing and me doing my many things.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: If you say we're gonna have girls Day Friday, we
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: could come together with my many things and your structured
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: things and we could go have us something to eat,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: have us a good time, and then.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: Go back out to our thing, go back to our things. Yeah,
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: that's so good. I love it. You just helped me
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: each other. Beauty. That's the beautiful part.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: And I thank God for this opportunity to like for
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: just ask whatever, because that's the heartbeat, like to bring
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: us together, to not only expose or in just enhanced,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: but together because our community is so important, not just
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: the community that we build with the community that we
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: are a part of because we need each other.
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: You've been You've been such a blessing. I can't let
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: this be the last time.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Absolutely that this can't be the last time I had
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: a ball because this was so good. I think we
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: learned you was literally depending on business coach, friend girl,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: friend girl. You would all things to us in this space,
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: in this small time. But one of the things that
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: we like to do here it just as is to
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: allow you the opportunity for a last word. If the
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: listeners did not hear anything that you said, what would
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: be your final statement? What would you like to leave
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: as your final statement? Be your authentic self, regardless of
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: what other people may have purpose for you. You know,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: sometimes we allow other people to tell us your daddy
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: was a preacher, you gonna be a preacher, and we
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: fall into be your authentic self and be okay with
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: your authentic self ruffling some feathers because sometimes people won't
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: understand who you are. They won't understand decisions that you make.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: But as I sit here today, I can one hundred
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: percent say that being me, whatever that is, has helped
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: me to become me. It has helped me to be
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I don't have to follow a script. I don't have
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: to fit into a certain template because I finally am
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: embracing the fact that I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: So my final word to everybody is and it's simple.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: It sounds simple, but really being yourself is not as
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: easy because being yourself may offend others. Being yourself may
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: make people misunderstand you. Being yourself may cause you to
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: lose friends, may cause you to lose family members. But
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: the freedom that you experience from being you, unmatched, unmatched man,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: the blessings of being you, that is the blessing.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: Let me put that in the blessing of being you.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: The Man took the time to create you before you
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: knew you, before your mama and daddy knew each other,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: He knew you.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: How dare you not be be who he created you
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: to be? How dare you not reach the zenith that
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: he has for you? How dare you? And he took
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: the time before before to create you. I owe it
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: to him to be me.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I feel like another shift just came, Like my my
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: thighs are tingling, Like I'm like, hey, watch yourself, watch yourself, y'all,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: we're gonna cut this out. But we probably gonna go
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: a little bit. We better have a conversation, you know,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: after record. But this has been so so amazing, Erica,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: when I say, I can't thank you enough for just
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: you already have. This has been amazing. Thank you for
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: that your friend for now. But y'all shout out to
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: you guys. Make sure you like coming and subscribe. We
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: thank you, we love you, and until next week, remember
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: life could be much more simple if you just asked.
