- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkgrel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day if you become the
- 0:24Speaker 1: howt Grel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:28Speaker 1: Happy Wednesday, Welcome to a new episode. I'm already feeling
- 0:32Speaker 1: really good going into the month of May. I feel
- 0:35Speaker 1: like just getting back into habits and setting these goals
- 0:39Speaker 1: for myself. This month has been, honestly so like mindset changing,
- 0:43Speaker 1: if that makes sense. I feel like my mindset's just
- 0:46Speaker 1: in such a better headspace this month, even compared to
- 0:49Speaker 1: just the past few months of the winter season, and yeah,
- 0:53Speaker 1: I'm just feeling really good about it. I've been listening
- 0:55Speaker 1: to a lot of podcasts lately, which I feel like
- 0:59Speaker 1: I'm always listen listening to one while walking, But there's
- 1:01Speaker 1: the odd time where you know, I switch between listening
- 1:04Speaker 1: to a podcast or just listening to music, and I
- 1:06Speaker 1: feel like I was kind of leaning more towards just
- 1:09Speaker 1: like listening to music or watching YouTube videos versus actually
- 1:11Speaker 1: listening to podcasts. And one podcast episode that my girlfriend
- 1:16Speaker 1: was like, you need to listen to this episode because
- 1:19Speaker 1: it is so down your alley in terms of just
- 1:22Speaker 1: like talking about health and wellness and really focusing on
- 1:26Speaker 1: women's health and how women are working out and what
- 1:29Speaker 1: women are doing and seeing the actual benefits to just
- 1:33Speaker 1: like your overall physique on how you're feeling as a woman,
- 1:36Speaker 1: and how we should be eating and how we should
- 1:38Speaker 1: be working out. And it was a recent episode with
- 1:41Speaker 1: Mel Robbins and a doctor I can't remember her name,
- 1:45Speaker 1: to be honest, but I will put the episode that
- 1:47Speaker 1: I'm referencing in the description because I definitely think this
- 1:50Speaker 1: is something that all women should listen to, because it
- 1:53Speaker 1: really opened up my eyes personally, because I never really
- 1:57Speaker 1: knew the science and research behind a lot of these
- 2:01Speaker 1: trends that we see on social media when it comes
- 2:03Speaker 1: to how we should be eating, how we should be
- 2:06Speaker 1: working out as women. And I'll give a brief summary
- 2:10Speaker 1: of the episode because it was just such an eye
- 2:12Speaker 1: opening and shocking episode to listen to, and I wanted
- 2:16Speaker 1: to bring it into conversation into this episode because of course,
- 2:20Speaker 1: we're all about just finding ways to improve our overall health,
- 2:23Speaker 1: our mindset, all that, and in today's episode, we do
- 2:26Speaker 1: kind of touch on just things you could do to
- 2:28Speaker 1: really glow up for the summer season, things that I
- 2:32Speaker 1: recommend investing in that I've personally tried, that I think
- 2:35Speaker 1: is worth the hype. So I kind of wanted to
- 2:38Speaker 1: bring it into a conversation in today's episode because essentially
- 2:42Speaker 1: what this doctor was saying in this episode was that
- 2:46Speaker 1: the way that these trends that we're seeing in terms
- 2:49Speaker 1: of different types of diets, so like intermittent and fasting,
- 2:52Speaker 1: the Keto diet, plant based diet, all those little things,
- 2:56Speaker 1: along with how we should be working out. You know,
- 2:59Speaker 1: for a lot of the time, people were saying like
- 3:02Speaker 1: lifting heavy, you know, don't do low impact work, odes,
- 3:05Speaker 1: blah blah blah, like everything you can imagine that you
- 3:07Speaker 1: see on social media, and how people should be doing.
- 3:10Speaker 2: You know, certain things.
- 3:11Speaker 1: And of course, everyone has a different body and things
- 3:15Speaker 1: work differently for everyone's body. But as females compared to males,
- 3:20Speaker 1: there is a difference when it comes to the health
- 3:22Speaker 1: and wellness industry, and apparently like ninety percent of research
- 3:28Speaker 1: when it comes to these diets and the way we
- 3:30Speaker 1: work out is all based off of men. Like all
- 3:33Speaker 1: the research is done with men, not female. So this woman,
- 3:36Speaker 1: what she was saying is that one thing that was
- 3:38Speaker 1: quite shocking to me was that women should not be fasting,
- 3:42Speaker 1: like women should not be doing the intermittent fasting diet,
- 3:46Speaker 1: which technically I don't intermit in fast like I don't
- 3:49Speaker 1: have a specific time of eating, like you know, I
- 3:51Speaker 1: don't eat till noon and then I stop eating at eight,
- 3:53Speaker 1: Like I don't do that type of thing. But I
- 3:55Speaker 1: do technically fast in a way because I wake up,
- 3:58Speaker 1: I go to an early morning workout class, I don't
- 4:00Speaker 1: eat before just because it's so early that I'm not
- 4:03Speaker 1: really hungry, and by the time I get back, you know,
- 4:05Speaker 1: I eat my breakfast. So technically I shouldn't be doing that,
- 4:08Speaker 1: which I didn't know that. And basically, women need fuel
- 4:14Speaker 1: in order for us to actually see the results that
- 4:17Speaker 1: we want to see when it comes.
- 4:18Speaker 2: To our physique.
- 4:20Speaker 1: And that was a real eye opening thing that she said,
- 4:24Speaker 1: because I feel like men who do fast are seeing
- 4:27Speaker 1: such high results and all that, and she's like, yes,
- 4:30Speaker 1: it works for men. Fasting works for men, but for
- 4:33Speaker 1: women it's going to provide the opposite effect. So that
- 4:36Speaker 1: to me was probably the most shocking thing that I
- 4:39Speaker 1: heard from that episode. Another thing they touched on was
- 4:41Speaker 1: about cold plunges and how cold plunges are not recommended
- 4:45Speaker 1: for women based on the way our brain and like
- 4:49Speaker 1: body work, along with how workouts actually affect our stress
- 4:54Speaker 1: levels and that's what affects our weight loss or you know,
- 4:59Speaker 1: muscle gain and all that. So essentially working out is
- 5:02Speaker 1: our way to relieve our stress. And the reason why
- 5:04Speaker 1: when people aren't working out or moving their bodies and
- 5:07Speaker 1: they see an increase in stress, it's because they're not
- 5:10Speaker 1: moving their bodies, which kind of makes sense. But anyways,
- 5:13Speaker 1: I recommend every woman that is listening to this episode
- 5:16Speaker 1: to go listen to it. It's Mel Robbins, which is
- 5:19Speaker 1: one of my favorite podcasts to listen to. She's so
- 5:21Speaker 1: inspiring and this woman that came on her podcast as
- 5:24Speaker 1: a doctor just to kind of talk about these things
- 5:26Speaker 1: and how most likely the stuff you're seeing on social
- 5:30Speaker 1: media is probably based off of men's research and it's
- 5:34Speaker 1: most likely not for a female. And it's funny because
- 5:38Speaker 1: my mom actually intermittent fast, like she does not eat
- 5:41Speaker 1: till noon and then she eats dinner. I think the
- 5:44Speaker 1: late is at like six o'clock, and then she doesn't
- 5:45Speaker 1: eat the rest of night. But you know, my mom's
- 5:47Speaker 1: always like, oh, you know, with menopause, it's kind of
- 5:49Speaker 1: hard to see results. And I think that's very normal
- 5:52Speaker 1: to be in the menopause phase and feel that way.
- 5:55Speaker 1: So I said to my mom, I'm like, I really
- 5:56Speaker 1: think you should listen to this episode because I think
- 5:58Speaker 1: it might be a really eye opening experience for you,
- 6:01Speaker 1: and maybe it's time for you to make a change
- 6:03Speaker 1: in your current lifestyle. Like maybe it isn't doing Intermont fasting,
- 6:06Speaker 1: maybe it's doing something different. Maybe you should be doing
- 6:08Speaker 1: you know, heavier lifting and doing more strength training versus
- 6:12Speaker 1: just you know, doing cardio. So my mom is a
- 6:14Speaker 1: big believer in cardio, and I don't know, I just
- 6:16Speaker 1: feel like she could listen to it just to kind
- 6:19Speaker 1: of understand what I learned from the episode. And yeah,
- 6:24Speaker 1: so anyways, I will put the episode in the description.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Obviously that was like a very like vague description and
- 6:30Speaker 1: summary of the episode, But anyways, I highly recommend listening
- 6:33Speaker 1: to it if you really want to understand the woman's
- 6:35Speaker 1: body and just everything they said when it comes to
- 6:38Speaker 1: just eating and the way we exercise as females. Obviously,
- 6:42Speaker 1: summer is our topic of today's episode. Honestly, the whole
- 6:45Speaker 1: month of May, it's going to be a lot of
- 6:47Speaker 1: just like getting prepped for the summer season. But I
- 6:50Speaker 1: wanted to quickly touch base on something exciting that we're
- 6:53Speaker 1: doing here at my house. We're finally setting up our
- 6:56Speaker 1: backyard this weekend. I'm so excited about it. I think
- 6:59Speaker 1: I kind of touched base on it in the last episode,
- 7:02Speaker 1: just talking about how we planned on setting it up,
- 7:05Speaker 1: and we went to home depot this past weekend. I
- 7:07Speaker 1: ended up actually vlogging on YouTube. I kind of took
- 7:10Speaker 1: a vlogging break from YouTube just because I mentioned in
- 7:14Speaker 1: the last episode that I was kind of having like
- 7:15Speaker 1: an anxiety period situation the.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Last two weeks and just wasn't in the right headspace.
- 7:21Speaker 1: So I kind of took a step back from YouTube
- 7:23Speaker 1: until I felt, you know, back to my normal self.
- 7:26Speaker 1: And I'm feeling back to my normal self, which is good.
- 7:28Speaker 1: So I got back onto YouTube and we kind of
- 7:31Speaker 1: just touched on a few things that we were looking at,
- 7:34Speaker 1: like a barbecue, looking at interlock, plants, how we're going
- 7:38Speaker 1: to design the backyard all that, and we decided on
- 7:41Speaker 1: not doing interlock. We decided that We're going to do
- 7:43Speaker 1: a deck instead, only because interlock will take a lot
- 7:48Speaker 1: longer to do for Zach to do. To be honest,
- 7:51Speaker 1: we could have hired someone to obviously do the backyard,
- 7:54Speaker 1: but that's just like way over the budget and we
- 7:57Speaker 1: don't want to do that, whereas Zach and my dad
- 8:00Speaker 1: are going to do it, hopefully in a weekend or
- 8:02Speaker 1: two of just adding a nice little area for us
- 8:05Speaker 1: to set up like a couch, a dining set, a barbecue,
- 8:09Speaker 1: all that, and the interlock was going to cost us
- 8:13Speaker 1: like six thousand dollars, which I'm like, oh, that's over
- 8:17Speaker 1: the budget, where as a deck was going to cost
- 8:20Speaker 1: us like half the amount. So I'm like, okay, well,
- 8:22Speaker 1: I feel more comfortable paying for a deck verse interlock.
- 8:25Speaker 1: So we decided to do that because, in full transparency,
- 8:29Speaker 1: we don't plan on living here for that much longer,
- 8:32Speaker 1: so I didn't really want to invest in that much
- 8:36Speaker 1: money for a backyard that I'm not going to be
- 8:38Speaker 1: able to take with me when I move out. So anyways,
- 8:41Speaker 1: we're not moving out like anytime soon. I'm just saying
- 8:43Speaker 1: that we didn't feel the need to invest that much
- 8:46Speaker 1: money in the backyard when it's not like our permanent home.
- 8:49Speaker 1: So yeah, that's just a little update on that, but
- 8:51Speaker 1: we're really excited my backyard inspo I have on my Pinterest,
- 8:55Speaker 1: which you guys know, I'm always on Pinterest, just literally
- 8:58Speaker 1: planning out my life as we y'all should, just envisioning
- 9:01Speaker 1: and romanticizing our.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Life and how we envision it.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And I have so many backyards plans and I have
- 9:07Speaker 1: a full in spellboard if you guys are interested in
- 9:09Speaker 1: going to check that out. But it's very like coastal
- 9:11Speaker 1: summer vibes, very much like a Cape cod vibe or
- 9:15Speaker 1: a Nantucket just very like beachy coastal cottage core kind
- 9:19Speaker 1: of vibe. That's the vibe I have for the backyard bute. Yeah,
- 9:22Speaker 1: I have my Pinterest I think linked in the description.
- 9:25Speaker 1: If I don't, I will include it because that's like
- 9:27Speaker 1: literally my safe space. I'm literally constantly on that app
- 9:30Speaker 1: every single morning and night, and I'm constantly saving things
- 9:33Speaker 1: that I kind of envision for my goals or for
- 9:38Speaker 1: my lifestyle anything like that. And we're gonna actually kind
- 9:41Speaker 1: of touch on that in this episode because we did
- 9:43Speaker 1: talk about in last week's episode about a summer persona
- 9:48Speaker 1: of this women that you want to become this summer, Like,
- 9:51Speaker 1: how do you want to see yourself for this summer season?
- 9:55Speaker 1: And I think that's a big goal for everyone. And
- 9:59Speaker 1: I think everyone needs to vision that person that they
- 10:01Speaker 1: want to become for this season, whether it's becoming a
- 10:04Speaker 1: Pilates princess, a Hawkgirl, walker, a Jim Batty, whatever it is.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I think everyone kind of has a vision. Or maybe
- 10:11Speaker 1: it's the travel girl who's constantly traveling hitting different places up,
- 10:15Speaker 1: Like I think we all kind of have a different
- 10:17Speaker 1: vision for how are summer's going to be? And I
- 10:20Speaker 1: think we all need to get on Pinterest. We all
- 10:22Speaker 1: need to create a vision board of this persona that
- 10:24Speaker 1: we see ourself becoming. And the best spot is going
- 10:28Speaker 1: on Pinterest and finding pictures and really representing this persona
- 10:32Speaker 1: that you starve to become, because we all want to
- 10:34Speaker 1: be our healthiest self, our happiest self, our best looking self,
- 10:38Speaker 1: Like we all want to feel beautiful this summer. And
- 10:41Speaker 1: I want to share some things when it comes to
- 10:43Speaker 1: a glow up of how we can feel a bit
- 10:45Speaker 1: more confident in ourselves by just doing these little things.
- 10:49Speaker 1: And I'm going to be honest, I'm high maintenance. I
- 10:51Speaker 1: think everyone knows that I have an extras fuck morning
- 10:55Speaker 1: routine that I do every single morning. But I romanticize
- 10:58Speaker 1: my life. But I find doing those things makes me
- 11:01Speaker 1: feel good. I feel happy doing it, and I know,
- 11:03Speaker 1: as I said, it's extra, but it makes me feel good,
- 11:07Speaker 1: So why not do it?
- 11:08Speaker 2: And again, it's all about who the heck cares? Right?
- 11:10Speaker 1: Why are we caring about what people think of us?
- 11:13Speaker 1: If it makes you feel good, if it puts you
- 11:15Speaker 1: in the right mindset, then you should just do it.
- 11:18Speaker 1: So one thing that I love to do that I
- 11:20Speaker 1: feel like really boosts my confidence is I always love
- 11:23Speaker 1: to get my nails done. And I actually just got
- 11:25Speaker 1: my nails done recently. I did this most perfect nail
- 11:28Speaker 1: shade that I find is the most perfect neutral nail color.
- 11:32Speaker 1: It's not bubble bath, it's not funny bunny. It's called
- 11:35Speaker 1: the Pearly Pink, and it really just does give that
- 11:38Speaker 1: pearly look.
- 11:38Speaker 2: If you're actually a bride to be.
- 11:40Speaker 1: This color would be really good to try out, to
- 11:42Speaker 1: be honest, because it's so stunning. And then I added
- 11:45Speaker 1: a chrome finish on top, and I just love how
- 11:48Speaker 1: neutral it is. I love that it looks very clean.
- 11:51Speaker 1: It's just a very good go to nail shade if
- 11:54Speaker 1: you're looking for something that's different and you want to
- 11:56Speaker 1: change it up, and if you're like me who likes
- 11:58Speaker 1: the neutral nails, I recommend doing your nails like this.
- 12:01Speaker 1: It feels just like very put together, which is what
- 12:05Speaker 1: I like. But you could also do colors that kind
- 12:07Speaker 1: of go with the season. So obviously, with it being
- 12:10Speaker 1: summer right now, I love pale yellow. I also love
- 12:13Speaker 1: the color like pistachio, so kind of like a sage green.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I think that's really nice as well. I also love
- 12:19Speaker 1: baby blue. Obviously, blue is like such a nice color
- 12:23Speaker 1: for the summer season. I also love the navy blue,
- 12:26Speaker 1: which I did navy blue nails for my Mexico trip
- 12:29Speaker 1: a few weeks back, and it was one of my
- 12:32Speaker 1: favorite nail colors I've ever done with a tan, like
- 12:34Speaker 1: I don't know, I never thought dark nails would be
- 12:37Speaker 1: good to do in the summer, but the navy blue
- 12:39Speaker 1: just really made me feel really confident, and pairing it
- 12:43Speaker 1: with jewelry, it just looked so I don't want to
- 12:46Speaker 1: say this, but it looked so rich, like I don't know,
- 12:48Speaker 1: it just like made me feel some type of way
- 12:51Speaker 1: with the dark deep blue nail colors, so try it out.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Those are a few colors that I recommend going into
- 12:57Speaker 1: the summer season. And let's be honest, I think everyone
- 13:00Speaker 1: and congree that we just feel so much more put
- 13:01Speaker 1: together when our nails are done, and even having a
- 13:04Speaker 1: matching pedicure would be elite.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I am due for a pedicure.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I don't like getting my pedicure done and my manicure
- 13:11Speaker 1: done in the same day because it almost takes like
- 13:13Speaker 1: two hours, and to be honest, the hour alone of
- 13:16Speaker 1: getting my nails done is already enough for me. I'm like,
- 13:19Speaker 1: I've you been sitting here for an hour. I have
- 13:21Speaker 1: stuff to do. I don't have the time to do
- 13:22Speaker 1: a whole two hour appointment. So I'm hoping that I
- 13:25Speaker 1: could get a pedicure either this week or next week,
- 13:28Speaker 1: because they desperately need to be done. But I like
- 13:31Speaker 1: to usually do the same color on my hands and
- 13:35Speaker 1: my feet. But everyone's been talking about the French nails
- 13:39Speaker 1: on the toes, which I haven't done yet, and I'm like,
- 13:41Speaker 1: maybe I need to pull the trigger and do that
- 13:43Speaker 1: because I see Pincher's photos and I'm like, this looks
- 13:46Speaker 1: so clean, girl, so aesthetic, just the vibe that I'm
- 13:51Speaker 1: looking for for my feet.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Even though this is like, I never ever ever.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Show my feet because I find it's so weird with
- 13:57Speaker 1: everything on social media that you see about like feet
- 13:59Speaker 1: picks and stuff. I don't know, I find it weird,
- 14:01Speaker 1: So I never show my feet, but I like to
- 14:04Speaker 1: make sure that my feet look good obviously, And I
- 14:07Speaker 1: hear everyone talking about the French nails on the toes,
- 14:09Speaker 1: so I'm like, maybe I need to jump on this trend.
- 14:11Speaker 1: But anyways, definitely recommend doing your nails and it's something
- 14:15Speaker 1: that you could do at home. I've seen so many
- 14:17Speaker 1: people also talk about the shellac nail polish and UV
- 14:20Speaker 1: light that you can buy from Amazon, and it's just
- 14:22Speaker 1: like way more affordable option versus going to spend xyzmout
- 14:26Speaker 1: at your nail salon to get them done. Like doing
- 14:28Speaker 1: them yourself is also so amazing to do, and there's
- 14:32Speaker 1: so many things that you could buy off Amazon that
- 14:34Speaker 1: are so affordable that can save you money and still
- 14:37Speaker 1: make you feel put together. Another thing that sometimes a
- 14:40Speaker 1: girl just needs to do before going into a new
- 14:42Speaker 1: season is getting their hair done. Doesn't have to be dramatic.
- 14:45Speaker 1: It could just be a trim, it could be a
- 14:47Speaker 1: different hairstyle, like maybe you're looking for layers. Maybe you
- 14:50Speaker 1: want to do the butterfly haircut where it's like bangs
- 14:53Speaker 1: and you know, different kinds of layers. Maybe you want
- 14:56Speaker 1: to cut it and do something dramatic, like go from
- 14:58Speaker 1: your long hairstyle to a short hairstyle, Like maybe it's
- 15:01Speaker 1: time to change it up going into a new season.
- 15:03Speaker 1: But for me, I went basic with my hair appointments.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I just went a little bit darker and I did
- 15:09Speaker 1: my typical long layers and bang trim. I would call
- 15:12Speaker 1: it the butterfly haircut. That's what I call it, and
- 15:14Speaker 1: it's what people on social media call it. But it's
- 15:17Speaker 1: like chunky layers with face framing bangs that are like
- 15:21Speaker 1: buy your jawline. And it's just been my go to
- 15:23Speaker 1: haircut for I don't know, like the last three years,
- 15:26Speaker 1: and I just love the way it looks when it's styled.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I don't plan on cutting my hair anytime soon. I
- 15:31Speaker 1: almost had a phase last summer where I wanted to
- 15:34Speaker 1: cut it before my wedding, which is so crazy. I
- 15:37Speaker 1: can't believe I wanted to do that before my wedding
- 15:38Speaker 1: because I love my long hair. Like I'm talking, my
- 15:41Speaker 1: hair is down to my belly button, and I wanted
- 15:42Speaker 1: to cut it like above my boobs, which is so
- 15:45Speaker 1: bold of me, because I don't think I've ever I mean,
- 15:49Speaker 1: that is the only time I can think that I
- 15:51Speaker 1: ever wanted to cut my hair that short. But I
- 15:53Speaker 1: had this like weird phase that I wanted to just
- 15:55Speaker 1: cut it like mid length, which I mean, hey, if
- 15:58Speaker 1: I did it, hair grows back, not the end of
- 16:00Speaker 1: the world. But I just love my long hair so much.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Now thinking back, I am happy I kept the length
- 16:05Speaker 1: for my wedding and for myself because I do really
- 16:08Speaker 1: love the way the long hair looks on me. But
- 16:10Speaker 1: sometimes it's good to change it up. As I said,
- 16:12Speaker 1: like it's at the end of the day, it is hair.
- 16:14Speaker 1: It is going to grow back, So trying something new
- 16:16Speaker 1: is always fun, and it allows you to feel a
- 16:19Speaker 1: bit prettier, a bit more confident, and I feel like
- 16:22Speaker 1: getting your hair done always looks so amazing, Like my
- 16:25Speaker 1: girl does this treatment on me and my hair is
- 16:27Speaker 1: shiny for like four weeks, and then as soon as
- 16:30Speaker 1: the shine is gone, I'm like, I need to go
- 16:31Speaker 1: back even though I shouldn't go back because it costs
- 16:34Speaker 1: so much money to do your hair, but it does
- 16:36Speaker 1: feel really good. So one thing that you could do
- 16:39Speaker 1: as like a dupe or something that could really give
- 16:41Speaker 1: you that shine and that overall look of just having
- 16:44Speaker 1: healthier hair is investing in a hair mask. There's so
- 16:47Speaker 1: many amazing brands out there. One hair mask that I
- 16:50Speaker 1: personally have been loving is by the brand Redkin. It's
- 16:53Speaker 1: actually the one that Madison Beer uses, I believe, and
- 16:56Speaker 1: it's like a gloss that you can put on. I
- 16:59Speaker 1: think it's like fifteen to twenty minutes after you shampoo.
- 17:03Speaker 1: You just leave it in your hair and then you
- 17:04Speaker 1: rinse it out, and it really just gives that shine
- 17:07Speaker 1: that you would see at a hair salon. It is
- 17:10Speaker 1: so good and it literally works wonders. It's one of
- 17:12Speaker 1: my favorite hair mass Another one that I really love
- 17:15Speaker 1: is by the brand Olaplex. I again leave it in
- 17:19Speaker 1: for like fifteen to twenty minutes, print it out, and
- 17:21Speaker 1: again gives that like really like deep moisturize healthy hair look.
- 17:25Speaker 1: I have very dry hair, so when I do a mask,
- 17:28Speaker 1: it like literally brings my hair back to life, which
- 17:31Speaker 1: is so refreshing, so that's kind of like a way
- 17:34Speaker 1: to give that nice overall like finished hair look like
- 17:38Speaker 1: if you don't want to spend the money on getting
- 17:39Speaker 1: a haircut, like I recommend doing hair mass or honestly
- 17:43Speaker 1: just giving yourself a good old blowout on a weekly basis,
- 17:46Speaker 1: Like I personally blow out my hair like once or
- 17:48Speaker 1: twice a week because I feel more confident when my
- 17:51Speaker 1: hair is blown out. You know, the natural hair has
- 17:53Speaker 1: been coming out a lot lately, as you guys know,
- 17:55Speaker 1: when I finally have a natural hair routine that I've
- 17:58Speaker 1: been loving so so I definitely think the natural hair
- 18:01Speaker 1: will be out more this summer, knowing that there's gonna
- 18:04Speaker 1: be a lot of cottage days and you know, going
- 18:07Speaker 1: swimming in the pool and all that. So I'm definitely
- 18:09Speaker 1: gonna want to bring out the natural curls more. And
- 18:12Speaker 1: I don't know why, but I feel like every husband
- 18:14Speaker 1: or boyfriend or man in your life will always say
- 18:17Speaker 1: that he prefers your natural hair over everything, Like Zach
- 18:20Speaker 1: loves my natural hair, which to me I was so
- 18:22Speaker 1: shocked by because I think it was so different and
- 18:25Speaker 1: so like not something I was comfortable with because it
- 18:28Speaker 1: was my natural hair.
- 18:29Speaker 2: I don't know I.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Feel like, if you have naturally curly hair, maybe like me,
- 18:33Speaker 1: I have more like wavy hair. I would say I
- 18:35Speaker 1: always had a hard time styling it, and all of
- 18:38Speaker 1: a sudden, like when I started styling it in Mexico,
- 18:41Speaker 1: Zach was like, this is my favorite hairstyle on you.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I'm like, what the heck? It just was shocking to me.
- 18:46Speaker 1: So I feel like men just love it when you're
- 18:48Speaker 1: your natural self. I don't know if anyone else has
- 18:51Speaker 1: the same like situation, but Zach also always compliments me
- 18:54Speaker 1: when I'm in my pajamas or when i'm just like giving,
- 18:58Speaker 1: you know, no, my one hundred percent self. Like I'll
- 19:01Speaker 1: dress up, I'll go full out. I'll put one hundred
- 19:04Speaker 1: percent effort in my makeup and my outfit, and you know,
- 19:06Speaker 1: I'd be like, oh, yeah, you look nice like whatever.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I'll be sitting on the couch with no makeup on.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure you have a stain on my sweater
- 19:13Speaker 1: and You'll be like, oh my god, you look so
- 19:14Speaker 1: beautiful right now, and I'm like, what the actual hack? Like,
- 19:18Speaker 1: I don't get men sometimes, but anyways, I feel like
- 19:20Speaker 1: that sometimes always the case with guys. But anyways, back
- 19:24Speaker 1: to what I was actually saying about your hair. But
- 19:27Speaker 1: you could get your hair done for the summer, as
- 19:29Speaker 1: I said, if you want to feel more confident, or
- 19:30Speaker 1: just do hair mass, whatever the case may be. Another
- 19:33Speaker 1: thing when it comes to glowing up for the summer
- 19:35Speaker 1: season is talking about glow up staples. So what are
- 19:38Speaker 1: some things that you could do maybe to improve your
- 19:41Speaker 1: overall style or maybe your makeup.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Investing in things that.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Could really just make you feel a little bit more
- 19:48Speaker 1: put together is always nice. So maybe it's getting a
- 19:51Speaker 1: new pair of sunglasses. Maybe it's getting a new pair
- 19:54Speaker 1: of jeans or a new pair of heels, Like I
- 19:57Speaker 1: would say for myself personally, there's trends always evolving, and
- 20:01Speaker 1: there's so many affordable options off Amazon, or you can
- 20:04Speaker 1: get the designer items whatever you know you feel most
- 20:07Speaker 1: comfortable spending with. But Amazon has so many great sunglasses
- 20:10Speaker 1: that you get that are a fraction of the price
- 20:13Speaker 1: of the designer ones. And I feel more put together
- 20:15Speaker 1: when I'm on top of the trends, right Like I
- 20:17Speaker 1: love getting just cute sunglasses every summer. I love getting
- 20:21Speaker 1: a new water bottle. I love finding a new pair
- 20:24Speaker 1: of shoes, Like right now, my suliments have been my
- 20:27Speaker 1: favorite walking shoe, whereas last summer, I would say my
- 20:30Speaker 1: favorite walking shoe was probably my Rebox platform sneakers.
- 20:34Speaker 2: I would wear those all the time.
- 20:36Speaker 1: So I feel like every year I'm always into something different,
- 20:39Speaker 1: and I think that's very normal with fashion trends, Like
- 20:41Speaker 1: everything comes back, everything kind of evolves. It's just kind
- 20:45Speaker 1: of the reality. So I feel like every year there's
- 20:47Speaker 1: something new that I purchase that I love for a
- 20:50Speaker 1: season and that I constantly wear. You know, for the
- 20:53Speaker 1: spring season, I was wearing my trench coat from Aritzia
- 20:55Speaker 1: like constantly. I bought that last spring, I brought it
- 20:58Speaker 1: into this spring. It's a staple so good. So find
- 21:02Speaker 1: little things that you can maybe purchase to make yourself
- 21:04Speaker 1: feel a bit more confident and more beautiful in yourself.
- 21:07Speaker 1: And that could be, as I said, purchasing sunglasses, getting
- 21:09Speaker 1: a new outfit. Maybe it's buying a new handbag, like
- 21:13Speaker 1: just making your self feel more put together. Getting a
- 21:15Speaker 1: matching workout set. We always love buying a new workout set.
- 21:18Speaker 1: I feel like that gets me motivated to get to
- 21:20Speaker 1: the gym more, aspire to have more of that healthy lifestyle,
- 21:23Speaker 1: getting outside to walk more all that, I do not
- 21:25Speaker 1: need a new workout set, but I do have two
- 21:28Speaker 1: workout sets in my shopping cart right now that I'm like,
- 21:30Speaker 1: I don't need it, but I love it and I
- 21:33Speaker 1: want it, and if I buy it, it might motivate
- 21:35Speaker 1: me to get my walks in, get more workouts in
- 21:38Speaker 1: all that, even though I really don't need that, but
- 21:42Speaker 1: the new feeling of a new workout.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Set is unmatched.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Other things that you could invest in is jewelry. I'm
- 21:47Speaker 1: a big jewelry girl, so I love wearing earrings on
- 21:50Speaker 1: my ears at all times. I love wearing my rings,
- 21:53Speaker 1: I love wearing my necklaces, my bracelets. That's just something
- 21:56Speaker 1: that I feel like a lot of people don't talk about,
- 21:58Speaker 1: is how much more put together you feel when you
- 22:01Speaker 1: wear jewelry. I think it's all about accessorizing when it
- 22:04Speaker 1: comes to outfits or anything like that. The jewelry plays
- 22:06Speaker 1: a huge impact on how the overall outfit looks. So,
- 22:10Speaker 1: you know, just wearing a workout set, when I put
- 22:12Speaker 1: my earrings on, my rings, on my necklaces on, I
- 22:14Speaker 1: feel like that already elevated the workout set because I
- 22:17Speaker 1: added all these beautiful jewelry pieces so whether you're a
- 22:21Speaker 1: gold girl or a silver girl, there's again so many
- 22:24Speaker 1: amazing things that you can get off Amazon. A lot
- 22:26Speaker 1: of my jewelry is honestly from Amazon, and then I
- 22:28Speaker 1: have invested in a few pieces from like Missouri or
- 22:32Speaker 1: Ring Concierge, and yeah, so there's other really good brands.
- 22:35Speaker 1: But I personally want to continue investing in my jewelry because,
- 22:39Speaker 1: especially gold, it's not cheap, but it does play off
- 22:42Speaker 1: in the long run because you know, when you're taking
- 22:44Speaker 1: a shower, when you're going swimming, especially in the summer season.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I hate constantly taking off my rings and my earrings
- 22:51Speaker 1: and you know, it being tarnish and all that. I rather,
- 22:54Speaker 1: you know, pay a little bit more money and have
- 22:55Speaker 1: everything real, and then it goes a long way with
- 22:59Speaker 1: keeping for a long time. My hoops that I wear
- 23:01Speaker 1: every single day. Zach actually got me four years ago
- 23:04Speaker 1: for Christmas and I still wear them every single day
- 23:07Speaker 1: for the past four years and they're just my go
- 23:09Speaker 1: to earrings. So it just kind of goes to show
- 23:12Speaker 1: that it is worth the investment when you do invest
- 23:15Speaker 1: in good quality jewelry. And then for handbags, we kind
- 23:17Speaker 1: of touched on that. I feel like right now, crochet
- 23:20Speaker 1: bags are really in or even the cute little boat bags.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I just got a boat bag for my sister that
- 23:25Speaker 1: I've been wearing constantly. It's like the perfect summer bag.
- 23:28Speaker 1: It's like a big tot that's kind of like a
- 23:30Speaker 1: canvas material. I love using it for workouts, but it
- 23:33Speaker 1: would be great for you know, a beach day or
- 23:36Speaker 1: bringing it to the grocery store running errands.
- 23:39Speaker 2: It's just like the perfect bag.
- 23:40Speaker 1: The brand is called Little Beanie Bag and I'm obsessed
- 23:45Speaker 1: with it. And then I also love the crochet bag
- 23:47Speaker 1: that I brought to Mexico. It's like a crochet clutch,
- 23:49Speaker 1: but it's got that like raffia material and it's so good.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Other little things that you could do if it makes
- 23:55Speaker 1: you feel a bit more confident is getting your eyebrows done.
- 23:58Speaker 1: I personally get my eyebrows waxed every month. You could
- 24:01Speaker 1: also do microblading for your brows and get them tinted.
- 24:04Speaker 1: You can get them laminated. There's so many things that
- 24:06Speaker 1: you could do now with your eyebrows to achieve that
- 24:09Speaker 1: like low maintenance effect. Everyone talks about that on social media.
- 24:13Speaker 1: The high maintenance appointments that will allow you to be
- 24:15Speaker 1: low maintenance. There's some people that do lash extensions that
- 24:18Speaker 1: allows them to have that low maintenance lifestyle by not
- 24:21Speaker 1: having to do their makeup every single day or put
- 24:23Speaker 1: mascara on. There's also appointments like Boattox lip filler. I
- 24:28Speaker 1: personally have lip filler. I think I've chatted about that
- 24:31Speaker 1: in a few episodes ago, but I've had lip filler
- 24:34Speaker 1: now for like four or five years.
- 24:36Speaker 2: They're very natural.
- 24:37Speaker 1: I'm sure some of you may be like, I didn't
- 24:38Speaker 1: even realize you had it because my lips are still
- 24:41Speaker 1: very small. But that's the point. It's supposed to look natural.
- 24:45Speaker 1: If you guys saw a photo of me from like
- 24:47Speaker 1: two thousand and twenty or when was it two thousand
- 24:50Speaker 1: and No, it would be before that twenty eighteen, maybe
- 24:54Speaker 1: you guys would have been like, you have no lips,
- 24:56Speaker 1: Like where are your lips? Like this is actually a
- 24:58Speaker 1: dramatic difference from what I did back then, And there's
- 25:01Speaker 1: nothing wrong with filler.
- 25:03Speaker 2: There's nothing wrong. I feel like you do anything to
- 25:05Speaker 2: your face.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I think it's whatever makes me feel confident, and personally,
- 25:08Speaker 1: for me, having a little bit of lip filler makes
- 25:10Speaker 1: me feel confident.
- 25:11Speaker 2: It makes me feel good. So I usually get them
- 25:13Speaker 2: touched up.
- 25:14Speaker 1: With like zero point five mL, like barely anything, every
- 25:18Speaker 1: like year year and a half. The last time I
- 25:20Speaker 1: got them done was for the wedding, and to be honest,
- 25:22Speaker 1: I'm kind of due, so I feel like I could
- 25:24Speaker 1: get them touched up for the summer. So that's something
- 25:27Speaker 1: that I do. I also do a little bit about
- 25:29Speaker 1: talks in my forehead. You know, your girl's twenty nine.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Do I need it?
- 25:35Speaker 1: No, but like it just again makes me feel a
- 25:37Speaker 1: little bit more confident. And yeah, I mean it's very
- 25:41Speaker 1: normal procedures that people do now, and I'm not afraid
- 25:44Speaker 1: to talk about it because I think there's some people
- 25:46Speaker 1: that you know, don't want to talk about it. But
- 25:48Speaker 1: I feel confident enough to say that, you know, I
- 25:50Speaker 1: do these things because they make me feel good. I
- 25:52Speaker 1: feel more confident in myself by doing it. And yeah,
- 25:56Speaker 1: it's something that I think is very normal now that
- 25:58Speaker 1: people do, and I think it's a OK to be
- 26:00Speaker 1: open about it. Now, Let's talk about some things that
- 26:03Speaker 1: I've invested in that I think is worth the hype,
- 26:06Speaker 1: because let's be honest, there is a lot of things
- 26:11Speaker 1: that are being promoted through social media and people are saying,
- 26:15Speaker 1: oh my god, like this is so worth it. Like
- 26:18Speaker 1: some of these things are not actually worth it. One
- 26:20Speaker 1: of them being, I'm going to be straight up right here,
- 26:22Speaker 1: that I don't think is worth your money is the
- 26:24Speaker 1: coconut cult. I personally did not see any benefits from it.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I actually got a stomach ache from taking it. I
- 26:31Speaker 1: stopped taking it immediately. It's expensive, and I also have
- 26:36Speaker 1: some dairy intake issues, so I just didn't think it
- 26:39Speaker 1: was settling well with my skin. I mean, there is
- 26:41Speaker 1: some people that rave about it and say amazing things
- 26:44Speaker 1: about it. Again, do what works for you, But for me,
- 26:47Speaker 1: that one didn't personally work for me. So I don't
- 26:50Speaker 1: think it's worth your money. But again, if it works
- 26:52Speaker 1: for you, that's great, seems gel. I do think it's
- 26:55Speaker 1: actually making a difference in my skin because lately I've
- 26:59Speaker 1: been doing a few things for my skin, one of
- 27:01Speaker 1: them being taking seams shell every single morning. I've been
- 27:04Speaker 1: doing the infrared sauna workouts, which is great for your skin,
- 27:08Speaker 1: two to three times a week, along with this metacube
- 27:11Speaker 1: toner that I recently bought. It's like toner pads, And
- 27:14Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, this is the best my
- 27:16Speaker 1: skin has ever looked. And those are the three things
- 27:19Speaker 1: that I can think of that I have changed in
- 27:21Speaker 1: my routine that have really just helped my roseatia. I
- 27:24Speaker 1: have rosetia, so I get really irritated red skin, and
- 27:28Speaker 1: I have very sensitive skin, so sometimes when I try
- 27:31Speaker 1: a new skin product out, it does sometimes react, so
- 27:34Speaker 1: I have to be very careful with what I use.
- 27:36Speaker 1: But those three things, I feel like I've made a
- 27:38Speaker 1: huge difference in my skin, and I actually feel like
- 27:42Speaker 1: it's the best my skin has ever looked. Even better
- 27:44Speaker 1: from my wedding. I feel like my wedding I was
- 27:47Speaker 1: doing facials once every six or eight weeks, which you know,
- 27:51Speaker 1: my skin looked good, but I would say this is
- 27:53Speaker 1: the best my skin has ever looked. And I think
- 27:55Speaker 1: it's because I'm actually being consistent with these things and
- 27:58Speaker 1: seeing a lot of benefits with TA. So speaking about skin,
- 28:01Speaker 1: let's also talk about the red Light Therapy mask. I
- 28:05Speaker 1: am gonna say it's a when I personally love it.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I think the red Light Therapy mask has really helped
- 28:11Speaker 1: my roseation as well as my dry skin. I will
- 28:15Speaker 1: rave about this product. It is quite costly, but I
- 28:17Speaker 1: don't think there's really a dupe to the red light
- 28:19Speaker 1: therapy mask, unfortunately, but in order to maybe invest in
- 28:23Speaker 1: your skincare more, I think using face masks like weekly
- 28:27Speaker 1: is really really crucial. One face mask in particular that
- 28:31Speaker 1: I've been really liking actually is the one Bi Kadali.
- 28:34Speaker 1: They have this clay mask that you could do like
- 28:37Speaker 1: three times a week if you wanted to. And I
- 28:39Speaker 1: feel like that mask has also been really great for
- 28:41Speaker 1: your pores and just the overall like clarity of your skin,
- 28:46Speaker 1: if that makes sense. I feel like it really brightens
- 28:48Speaker 1: up my skin when I use the mask, So that
- 28:51Speaker 1: could be something that's a bit more affordable versus, you know,
- 28:54Speaker 1: splurging on the red light therapy mask. There is actually
- 28:57Speaker 1: a new mask that just came out. It's called these
- 29:00Speaker 1: Led face mask. It literally looks insane. First off, it's
- 29:05Speaker 1: like way more intense than the typical therapy mask. There's
- 29:09Speaker 1: like a massage 'er in it. I think for your
- 29:11Speaker 1: to like deepop your eyes or something.
- 29:14Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 29:14Speaker 1: It is literally insane looking. I was really shocked that
- 29:17Speaker 1: that's what it looked like. But people are using it,
- 29:20Speaker 1: people are loving it. Another way actually to help your
- 29:25Speaker 1: skincare out is the New Face, which is essentially an
- 29:28Speaker 1: electric Guasha where you're able to like sculpt at your face. Again,
- 29:32Speaker 1: I think this is worth it. I used it religiously
- 29:35Speaker 1: every single morning before my wedding. Now I probably do
- 29:38Speaker 1: it like two to three times a week. I wouldn't
- 29:39Speaker 1: say I do it every single day, but I do
- 29:42Speaker 1: think it's really helped with just that, like defining jawline,
- 29:46Speaker 1: defining like cheekbones, all that. So I personally love it.
- 29:50Speaker 1: But a dupe to this would be a Guasha tool,
- 29:52Speaker 1: which is like literally fifteen to twenty dollars on Amazon
- 29:55Speaker 1: doing the same technique, you know, doing the jawline, doing
- 29:58Speaker 1: the contour area. If you're consistent with Guasha, you will
- 30:02Speaker 1: see results. So I would say those are kind of
- 30:05Speaker 1: like the alternatives to the expensive, high quality facial tools
- 30:09Speaker 1: that I'm referencing. But I would say all those things
- 30:12Speaker 1: truly did make a huge difference in my skincare. Another
- 30:14Speaker 1: thing which you guys know I worry about all the
- 30:16Speaker 1: time is my walking pad. This has been the best
- 30:19Speaker 1: investment to do just for getting my steps in. I
- 30:23Speaker 1: made it a goal this month to up my step count,
- 30:25Speaker 1: and I've been really trying to increase my step count
- 30:28Speaker 1: by using my walking pad at around lunchtime, get some
- 30:31Speaker 1: work done at the same time by editing stuff on
- 30:34Speaker 1: my computer or on my phone, And it's honestly just
- 30:37Speaker 1: been a huge game changer, especially when the weather isn't
- 30:39Speaker 1: that great. So if it's raining outside or if it's snowing,
- 30:42Speaker 1: I'm able to get my steps in while using the
- 30:44Speaker 1: walking pad. And there's not really a dupe to this,
- 30:47Speaker 1: but getting yourself outside and walking more is really the
- 30:50Speaker 1: only thing that I could recommend, or a treadmill if
- 30:53Speaker 1: you have a treadmill in your house, but it's a
- 30:55Speaker 1: walking pad and a treadmill is literally the same thing.
- 30:57Speaker 1: But just trying to reference some things that are a
- 31:00Speaker 1: bit more of a dupe to these more expensive things.
- 31:04Speaker 1: The walking pad I think was around like three hundred dollars,
- 31:07Speaker 1: so it is quite costly. But what I love about
- 31:10Speaker 1: it is that it is a foldable walking pad that
- 31:13Speaker 1: you can just like tuck away, don't have to have
- 31:15Speaker 1: it out in the open in my home. I can
- 31:17Speaker 1: just kind of use it wherever I want, and I
- 31:19Speaker 1: could watch a freaking movie at the same time if
- 31:22Speaker 1: I wanted to.
- 31:22Speaker 2: That's what I love about it.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Another thing that I think is worth the hype is
- 31:26Speaker 1: investing in a gym membership. I think everyone can agree
- 31:29Speaker 1: getting out of the house is probably the best thing
- 31:31Speaker 1: to do when you really want to focus and feel
- 31:33Speaker 1: motivated to get a workout done. I did do at
- 31:36Speaker 1: home workouts for the longest time, I would say for.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Like two to three years.
- 31:40Speaker 1: During COVID was really when I started to invest in
- 31:44Speaker 1: my overall health and start doing online workouts from home.
- 31:48Speaker 1: But I will say that I if I compare my
- 31:51Speaker 1: performance and my focus level of working out from at
- 31:55Speaker 1: home versus being in a actual studio with a workout class,
- 31:59Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you now I'm more focused in
- 32:01Speaker 1: the workout class than I was back home. So of
- 32:03Speaker 1: course working out at home is great. It's the best
- 32:06Speaker 1: affordable option. There's subscriptions that you can get like form
- 32:09Speaker 1: Form has actually been a really great one for me,
- 32:11Speaker 1: which is by the Sammy's Sammy Clark. I love the Sammy's,
- 32:15Speaker 1: They're so sweet. Anyways, their platform is amazing for someone
- 32:19Speaker 1: that's looking for and that home workout that's a bit
- 32:21Speaker 1: more affordable. I think the subscription to using it is
- 32:27Speaker 1: like I think it's like one hundred bucks for the year,
- 32:29Speaker 1: which is literally nothing compared to gym memberships. The average
- 32:33Speaker 1: gym membership, I would say, is like, what one hundred
- 32:35Speaker 1: dollars a month? One hundred and fifty dollars a month.
- 32:38Speaker 1: I mean, pilates is absurd. I'm going to tell you
- 32:40Speaker 1: right now. I pay way too much for my Plate studio.
- 32:42Speaker 1: But I love Plates and I just shut my eyes
- 32:46Speaker 1: when it comes out to my bank account. But I
- 32:48Speaker 1: personally love investing in it because it really has changed
- 32:51Speaker 1: my body. It's changed my life. I find it's the
- 32:53Speaker 1: best movement for my body specifically, but low impact workouts
- 32:57Speaker 1: have been just my kind of workout. But I think
- 33:00Speaker 1: investing in it has been the most life changing thing
- 33:03Speaker 1: for me because I feel so much more motivated. I
- 33:05Speaker 1: feel so much more focused. I enjoy getting out of
- 33:08Speaker 1: the house. I have friends through my pilates classes. Now.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I recently got a membership at Oxygen, which I've been
- 33:14Speaker 1: loving so all in all, I think getting a gym
- 33:16Speaker 1: membership is one hundred percent worth the hype. This next
- 33:19Speaker 1: one is kind of random, but I do think it's
- 33:21Speaker 1: made a huge difference.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Is my dice in air wrap?
- 33:23Speaker 1: I actually don't know what I would do without my
- 33:25Speaker 1: dice In Air, rap like it has really changed the game.
- 33:28Speaker 1: When it comes to blow drying my hair. I feel
- 33:30Speaker 1: like it's fast drying, minimizes heat damage. It's great for
- 33:34Speaker 1: styling your hair effortlessly. I personally don't find I'm the
- 33:37Speaker 1: best at styling my hair when it comes to just
- 33:39Speaker 1: a normal blow dryer and a round brush. I was
- 33:42Speaker 1: never able to get that blowout look with a normal
- 33:45Speaker 1: blow dryer. So when I invested in the dic In,
- 33:47Speaker 1: I feel like it actually gave that blowout look. And
- 33:50Speaker 1: just the fact that there's so many tools involved with
- 33:53Speaker 1: the dice In, it just allows you to style your
- 33:55Speaker 1: hair in so many different ways, and it just makes
- 33:57Speaker 1: it so much easier, Whereas, if you know, I use
- 34:00Speaker 1: a regular blow dryer, I wouldn't be able to achieve
- 34:02Speaker 1: the look that I wanted to achieve. My sister ended
- 34:05Speaker 1: up getting the Shark, which is kind of the dupe
- 34:07Speaker 1: to the dice In one. It's still, you know, a
- 34:09Speaker 1: bit pricier, but it's still half the price of the
- 34:12Speaker 1: dice In, and my sister loves it same technique, it
- 34:16Speaker 1: has different attachments and it gives that same overall blowout look.
- 34:20Speaker 1: So she loves it. She's so happy that she actually
- 34:23Speaker 1: invested in it because it's been a complete game changer
- 34:26Speaker 1: for her hair.
- 34:27Speaker 2: And I've been telling her this for years.
- 34:29Speaker 1: I'm like, bro, you need to invest in your hair
- 34:32Speaker 1: tool because it will change your life. Like she was
- 34:34Speaker 1: buying so many random things off Amazon. She was like, Okay,
- 34:38Speaker 1: I'm going to try the thermal brush. Okay, I'm going
- 34:40Speaker 1: to try the Revlon brush. Okay, I'm going to try this.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I'm like, trust me, get the Shark or get the
- 34:44Speaker 1: Dcon and it will change your life. She finally listened
- 34:47Speaker 1: to me, and it's changed her life, and I'm like,
- 34:49Speaker 1: you're welcome.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Thank me later.
- 34:51Speaker 1: So anyways, it could be a good gift just to
- 34:53Speaker 1: think about, maybe for Christmas if you don't have, you know,
- 34:56Speaker 1: the funds to financially get it right now.
- 34:59Speaker 2: But it's something to think.
- 35:00Speaker 1: About because I do think it will be a long
- 35:02Speaker 1: lasting tool and it's worth the investment. I've had my
- 35:05Speaker 1: Dyson now for almost five years to put in the
- 35:08Speaker 1: grand scheme of things, and.
- 35:09Speaker 2: I love her so much and.
- 35:12Speaker 1: She's still working and yeah, anyways, I love it so
- 35:15Speaker 1: much and I use it literally every single week. Other
- 35:18Speaker 1: things that I have invested in would be supplements, and
- 35:21Speaker 1: I think the two supplements that I've been taking consistently
- 35:23Speaker 1: that I do think work are the natural fal hair
- 35:27Speaker 1: vitamins or hair supplements for hair growth. I have started
- 35:30Speaker 1: to notice a big difference. I've mentioned that before, just
- 35:33Speaker 1: a lot of d shedding, a lot of growth coming
- 35:35Speaker 1: in on my scalp, which is really reassuring. Overall, I
- 35:38Speaker 1: think if you take supplements consistently, you will see results.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Another supplement that I started recently taking is Array. They
- 35:46Speaker 1: have a d bloat supplement and I really wasn't sure
- 35:49Speaker 1: if it was going to work, to be honest, but
- 35:51Speaker 1: I got it recently in a PR package. And when
- 35:54Speaker 1: I consume too much dairy, I think a lot of
- 35:56Speaker 1: people can agree to this if they have dairy sensitivity.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Like me, I get really really bloated, and I'm like, hey,
- 36:01Speaker 1: I need to take something to make me feel skinny again,
- 36:06Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So I took it and
- 36:08Speaker 1: the next morning, I'm not even joking, it was insane. Anyways,
- 36:12Speaker 1: Like a few hours later, the bloating was completely gone,
- 36:16Speaker 1: and I was literally shocked because I've never seen a
- 36:18Speaker 1: supplement work so well to be honest. So the brand's
- 36:21Speaker 1: called Array. I only take it whenever I'm feeling really
- 36:24Speaker 1: bloated from again consuming dairy or whatever the case may be.
- 36:27Speaker 1: But oh my god, guys, the most wholesome thing. My
- 36:32Speaker 1: neighbor is just running by me right now while I'm
- 36:35Speaker 1: recording this episode, and she literally told me that she's
- 36:38Speaker 1: been really wanting to get into running again and she
- 36:40Speaker 1: invested in running shoes. She was asking me about running
- 36:42Speaker 1: shoes I have. So the fact I'm recording this episode
- 36:44Speaker 1: and I just saw her running, that just made me
- 36:46Speaker 1: so happy. Anyways, go her look at her achieving her goals.
- 36:50Speaker 1: That was literally so wholesome. Anyways, as I was saying,
- 36:53Speaker 1: this bloating supplement really did work, and it's definitely something
- 36:57Speaker 1: that I take the odd time when I feel like
- 36:59Speaker 1: I need it. And it's nice to know that there's
- 37:00Speaker 1: options out there like that that can help with situations
- 37:04Speaker 1: like that when it comes to bloating. But a few
- 37:07Speaker 1: other things that people talk about that I think are
- 37:09Speaker 1: game changers that I personally need to get into my
- 37:12Speaker 1: routine consistently, one of them being collagen, whether I'm taking
- 37:17Speaker 1: a pill or some type of powder that I can
- 37:19Speaker 1: include into my coffee or my smoothies, whatever the case
- 37:22Speaker 1: may be. I need to get a collagen powder because
- 37:24Speaker 1: I do think if you're consistent with that, you are
- 37:26Speaker 1: going to see really good results from that, along with
- 37:29Speaker 1: a probiotic or a tripiotic or prebiotic. I have a few, honestly,
- 37:34Speaker 1: but I just feel like some of them don't always
- 37:36Speaker 1: work well with my stomach. So I just need to
- 37:39Speaker 1: figure out maybe an ingredient that my stomach is not
- 37:43Speaker 1: sitting well with in those probiotics and probiotics. That way,
- 37:46Speaker 1: when I can purchase the right one, it will be
- 37:49Speaker 1: worth the investment. So anyways, moral story is that some
- 37:53Speaker 1: supplements I do think are worth it. Some are the
- 37:56Speaker 1: placebo like I don't really love the Lemmy ones. I
- 38:00Speaker 1: think the only one that I personally find that works
- 38:01Speaker 1: really well is the Lemmy sleep. I really find those
- 38:04Speaker 1: ones work. The Lemme z Blow I didn't really find work,
- 38:07Speaker 1: Like the array one worked really well. What other Lemmy one.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Have I tried.
- 38:11Speaker 1: I've tried the Glow Nails and Skin one. I can't
- 38:16Speaker 1: remember because it was like two years ago, but I
- 38:18Speaker 1: don't know if that fully worked or not. But I
- 38:20Speaker 1: will say that some of the lemmy products work. Some
- 38:23Speaker 1: of them don't. There's some like let me focus all that,
- 38:26Speaker 1: I haven't tried those to be honest, so I can't
- 38:27Speaker 1: give my honest opinion on that. But I know there's
- 38:30Speaker 1: always going to be a hit and miss with supplements.
- 38:32Speaker 1: But those are the ones I've been taking, the ones
- 38:34Speaker 1: that I've said, and ones that I personally think are
- 38:37Speaker 1: worth it. So those are things that I personally think
- 38:40Speaker 1: are worth investing in for the summer season. Just a
- 38:43Speaker 1: few things that I think are worth your money and
- 38:46Speaker 1: just some things that I'm doing to make myself feel
- 38:49Speaker 1: a bit more confident, a bit more beautiful for the
- 38:51Speaker 1: summer season. But I hope you guys enjoyed this episode.
