- 0:25Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:30Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. Happy Tuesday to you. Today
- 0:35Speaker 1: is February twenty fifth, two thy twenty five also known
- 0:40Speaker 1: as two twenty five twenty five. Sounds cool to say,
- 0:43Speaker 1: it looks cool to see it. Raj, you are our
- 0:46Speaker 1: resident expert numerologist, self proclaimed?
- 0:54Speaker 2: Is that a?
- 0:55Speaker 1: Is that a good number? Bad number? How are we
- 0:58Speaker 1: looking on a Tuesday? Two twenty five forty five?
- 1:00Speaker 2: It's a very good number?
- 1:01Speaker 1: Okay? Is that because two and five add up to seven?
- 1:04Speaker 1: Or just because twos and fives are good on their own?
- 1:06Speaker 2: Twos and fives are good on their own, But it
- 1:08Speaker 2: does equals seven?
- 1:09Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:09Speaker 4: And then you add those up, So seven seven fourteen,
- 1:12Speaker 4: that's five plus two is seven.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Good news in math, all in one place inside the treehouse.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Speaking of good news, there's something we have not done
- 1:28Speaker 1: in a while that I think we need to correct.
- 1:30Speaker 1: If you guys are up for it? Are you up
- 1:32Speaker 1: for a little adventure on a Tuesday inside the treehouse?
- 1:35Speaker 1: Tray you up for it?
- 1:38Speaker 5: I don't know, Dan, I'm a little uh oh, come on,
- 1:42Speaker 5: and you say up for it an adventure? I don't
- 1:45Speaker 5: know what you have in mind.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I'm talking to you, not my wife. I know where
- 1:52Speaker 1: your head's going, and it's not that.
- 1:56Speaker 2: See.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Ah sure, all right, what about you, Raj or you
- 2:00Speaker 1: up for a little adventure on a Tuesday? Absolutely, especially
- 2:04Speaker 1: after the good numerology report.
- 2:05Speaker 2: M h all right.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Then we have not played Believe it or Not in
- 2:12Speaker 1: a little while, and I think it's time we correct that.
- 2:15Speaker 1: So let's do it now here on Believe It or
- 2:28Speaker 1: Not Inside the Treehouse, I'm going to read a statement
- 2:33Speaker 1: or a news headline and you have to tell me
- 2:37Speaker 1: if you believe it or not. That's simple. So on
- 2:43Speaker 1: today's edition of Believe It or Not Inside the Treehouse,
- 2:47Speaker 1: do you believe that one percent of people brush their
- 2:52Speaker 1: teeth while sitting on the toilet? One percent of people?
- 2:58Speaker 1: One percent of people brush their teeth while sitting on
- 3:01Speaker 1: the toilet. I'll give you a moment to think about
- 3:03Speaker 1: your answer. Do you believe it?
- 3:10Speaker 5: Give it you a.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I think it would be more than one percent.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Okay, so you do believe it or don't believe it.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I believe it would be more so that statement I
- 3:22Speaker 2: don't believe to be true.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Okay, Trey, what about you? Do you believe that one
- 3:28Speaker 1: percent of people brush their teeth while sitting on the toilet.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Do I believe that one percent of humanity is gross? Yes, yes,
- 3:38Speaker 5: yes I do.
- 3:42Speaker 1: As i'm thinking about this, that correct bell, By the way,
- 3:45Speaker 1: that correct bell was for you, Trey. But as I'm
- 3:48Speaker 1: thinking about this, I think you're also correct, rajsh because
- 3:52Speaker 1: I may have worded this question poorly, because one percent
- 3:57Speaker 1: of people do, in fact brush their teeth while sitting
- 4:00Speaker 1: on the toilet. But that's not all, because it's actually
- 4:04Speaker 1: three percent ah of people who brush their teeth while
- 4:08Speaker 1: sitting on the toilet, which technically means one percent of
- 4:13Speaker 1: people doing it is accurate. It's just that it was
- 4:16Speaker 1: more so. Congratulations, you were both correct on believe it
- 4:21Speaker 1: or not Inside the Treehouse. Congratulations. And also I'm sorry
- 4:25Speaker 1: for the rest of us now realizing that three percent
- 4:28Speaker 1: of us brush our teeth while sitting on the toilet. Look,
- 4:31Speaker 1: I have done some really really unpleasant things in the bathroom,
- 4:35Speaker 1: but brushing my teeth while I'm taking that's the wrong
- 4:39Speaker 1: button while sitting on the toilet is not one of them.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I do have some standards, believe it or not.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think I've ever done that I've never
- 4:49Speaker 4: even been tempted.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I don't even like brushing my teeth in
- 4:53Speaker 1: the same section of the house where I've just recently
- 4:56Speaker 1: gone number two.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Yeah, that's it's I don't know why people would do that.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Are you multitasking? Is that what it is? Is trying
- 5:05Speaker 4: to get as much done in one sitting? No, no,
- 5:09Speaker 4: no pun intended.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Well, a poll asked people where do you brush your teeth?
- 5:15Speaker 1: Seventy one percent of people said they stand at the
- 5:17Speaker 1: sink in front of a mirror. That's obviously, that's seventy
- 5:21Speaker 1: one percent. That's most of us, and that's what I do.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Twenty percent of people say they walk around the house
- 5:27Speaker 1: while brushing their teeth, and then very interestingly, three percent
- 5:34Speaker 1: of people say they sit somewhere, and an additional three
- 5:39Speaker 1: percent say they sit on the toilet.
- 5:43Speaker 2: So gross. I wouldn't want to be around that person
- 5:48Speaker 2: so bad.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Because because they'd be clean and dirty at the same time,
- 5:52Speaker 1: or just would it just be all it's all dirty, right,
- 5:54Speaker 1: it's just all dirty, right?
- 5:57Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah.
- 5:59Speaker 1: The There is another option though, that I have done
- 6:04Speaker 1: that was not an option on this survey. For some reason,
- 6:07Speaker 1: I have brushed my teeth in the shower. That was
- 6:11Speaker 1: not an option in the survey for some reason. Interesting
- 6:14Speaker 1: to me, that's decent multitasking because I'm cleaning two things
- 6:20Speaker 1: at the same time, and I can rinse and everything
- 6:22Speaker 1: and spit and all that kind of stuff in the
- 6:24Speaker 1: shower with my teeth brushing. I think that's fine. I've
- 6:26Speaker 1: even been to some people's homes where they have the
- 6:28Speaker 1: toothbrush in the shower, so I get that. That to
- 6:30Speaker 1: me is some decent multitasking. But never, never, while we'll
- 6:36Speaker 1: go on number two.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Well, there was a a theory put forth, it was
- 6:44Speaker 5: probably twenty years ago saying for water conservation, brushing your
- 6:48Speaker 5: teeth in the shower is, you know, more efficient. When
- 6:53Speaker 5: it turns out no, most people were wasting more water
- 6:56Speaker 5: doing so. Right, Unless you are multitasking in the shower,
- 7:00Speaker 5: then it's kind of useless.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Right because I think most people, as you're brushing your
- 7:05Speaker 1: teeth in the shower, you're just standing there as the
- 7:07Speaker 1: shower is running and you're brushing your teeth, as opposed
- 7:09Speaker 1: to brushing your teeth with one hand and soapen up
- 7:12Speaker 1: or whatever with the other. Yeah, I I okay, now
- 7:19Speaker 1: let me throw this curveball at you as the thought
- 7:21Speaker 1: creeps into my brain. We all agree that brushing your
- 7:26Speaker 1: teeth in the shower, I'm sorry. We all agree that
- 7:29Speaker 1: brushing your teeth while on the toilet grows. We also
- 7:33Speaker 1: agree from previous conversations on the show, that going number
- 7:37Speaker 1: two in the shower is gross. Yes, especially because you're
- 7:42Speaker 1: gonna have to, like, you know, stomp it down a
- 7:44Speaker 1: drain hen waffle stomper, which would be a dating deal
- 7:49Speaker 1: breaker for you as single men. Waffle stomper or toilet
- 7:54Speaker 1: toothbrusher waffle stomper so hard against the waffle stopping, which
- 8:01Speaker 1: means you'd have to at least somewhat put up with
- 8:04Speaker 1: the teeth brushing while on the toilet.
- 8:08Speaker 5: They don't have to tell me.
- 8:12Speaker 1: It's information age, there are there were no more secrets.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Yeah, waffle stopping is the deal breaker because that I
- 8:23Speaker 5: have to stand there where they have done that. That's
- 8:28Speaker 5: you know, yeah, I know, I know what happens on
- 8:33Speaker 5: a toilet.
- 8:35Speaker 2: And at least if.
- 8:36Speaker 1: You're brushing your teeth on the toilet, you're at least
- 8:38Speaker 1: getting something somewhat clean. But if you go to in
- 8:43Speaker 1: the shower, you have now sullied the shower forever.
- 8:45Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, I think anybody, anybody that goes number two
- 8:49Speaker 4: in the shower doesn't brush their teeth to begin with.
- 8:52Speaker 5: Well, brushing your teeth on the toilet doesn't equate to
- 8:57Speaker 5: pooping on my feet, Well, stopping does.
- 9:03Speaker 1: It's important to lay the groundwork for a successful relationship
- 9:07Speaker 1: early on.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Your lute freehouse visit us online at treehouseonair dot com.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Eight three three COOKDFW. That's the phone number four COOKDFW
- 9:26Speaker 1: Roofing and Restoration. Use that to schedule your free roof
- 9:30Speaker 1: inspection and property inspection. They do all sorts of work
- 9:34Speaker 1: at COOKDFW. Let them come to your home and check
- 9:37Speaker 1: it out and see what your needs and wants are.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Speaking of needs, if something happens catastrophic around the home, Daniel,
- 9:45Speaker 1: is it a good idea for someone to file an
- 9:47Speaker 1: insurance claim before talking to you?
- 9:49Speaker 4: Dan?
- 9:49Speaker 6: That's an excellent question, And really it's it's two things.
- 9:52Speaker 6: If you have massive damage, like you had a huge
- 9:55Speaker 6: amount of wind and it blew part of your house down,
- 9:58Speaker 6: are you know you have a big hole in your
- 10:00Speaker 6: roof or your skylight gets busted out and you know
- 10:02Speaker 6: you've got substantial damage, Probably go ahead and call in
- 10:05Speaker 6: a claim, get the get those wheels working, because they're
- 10:07Speaker 6: going to have guys out there fast. If you're not sure,
- 10:10Speaker 6: if you had some hell come through, if you had
- 10:12Speaker 6: some high wind, maybe you see a shingle or something
- 10:15Speaker 6: in your yard. Those are the perfect opportunities for us
- 10:18Speaker 6: to come out before you file an insurance claim, because
- 10:21Speaker 6: a lot of people know if you follow an insurance
- 10:23Speaker 6: claim and you don't have enough damage that oversees you're
- 10:26Speaker 6: a deductible, which is whatever that is that magic number
- 10:28Speaker 6: five thousand and six thousand, and say you only have
- 10:30Speaker 6: one thousand dollars worth a damage, that still goes against
- 10:33Speaker 6: you on your insurability score. So even if they don't
- 10:36Speaker 6: pay you, it still looks like you're filing claims. And
- 10:39Speaker 6: you don't want to be that policy holder that has
- 10:41Speaker 6: four or five claims in just a few years, because
- 10:44Speaker 6: then people are going to look like, oh crap, this
- 10:46Speaker 6: guy calls in all the time for claims, you know,
- 10:48Speaker 6: and they never look at how much actually was paid out.
- 10:51Speaker 6: So make sure you call this. We want to protect you,
- 10:53Speaker 6: We want to protect your insurance coverage. It's the worst
- 10:56Speaker 6: thing in the world is you know you've been you're
- 10:58Speaker 6: diligent about paying your premium and then you know you
- 11:01Speaker 6: start getting these increases for no reason.
- 11:03Speaker 1: So let us come out give them a call today

- 11:49Speaker 1: Sharma with you in the Treehouse today, Tuesday, February twenty fifth,
- 11:53Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Uh Raj, what was that interesting little
- 11:58Speaker 1: nugget you just shared with me?
- 11:59Speaker 5: And it just popped into my head?
- 12:01Speaker 4: I had an X that would so PI had a
- 12:03Speaker 4: roommate and they would they worked at the same restaurant
- 12:08Speaker 4: and they would use the same bathwater.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Hang on, I need to I need to find something
- 12:16Speaker 1: here because I need I'm feeling similar feelings to Trey
- 12:21Speaker 1: here say that again.
- 12:24Speaker 2: They would they would share the same bathwater.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Coincidentally that was throwing up into the bath tub.
- 12:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I didn't.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I didn't know this, and I went over.
- 12:40Speaker 4: I'm just happen to be there when they were getting
- 12:41Speaker 4: ready for work and they just used the same water,
- 12:43Speaker 4: and I was like, what are you doing?
- 12:45Speaker 2: You're bathing in her fil Yeah.
- 12:48Speaker 1: See, there's there's a brief moment there where in your mind.
- 12:51Speaker 1: And I wonder if Trey is having the same thought
- 12:53Speaker 1: that this could have a sexy reason for it, like
- 12:56Speaker 1: hang on, hang on, Like we share a bath water
- 12:58Speaker 1: at the same time. I don't that might be something
- 13:04Speaker 1: to be a little more open minded about. But not
- 13:06Speaker 1: one after another.
- 13:07Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, there's some scissoring going on. Great, But otherwise no,
- 13:15Speaker 5: because you're whoever, especially I mean in this day and age,
- 13:20Speaker 5: if you're bathing, I have serious questions about you because
- 13:23Speaker 5: like if you're in the bathtub, because you're really just
- 13:26Speaker 5: sitting in your own filth. Yeah, but then especially if
- 13:28Speaker 5: you're the second person going in there.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I did. How did that come up in
- 13:36Speaker 1: the relationship? Was this was this on the way out,
- 13:38Speaker 1: like after the breakup, she doesn't well, I use the
- 13:40Speaker 1: same bathwater as Tina or I mean, I don't know
- 13:43Speaker 1: why they don't come up.
- 13:45Speaker 4: I happened to be there when they were getting ready
- 13:47Speaker 4: for work and the roommate got out of the shower
- 13:51Speaker 4: or the bathtub, and I kind of walked down the
- 13:53Speaker 4: hall and then she got in and started her bath,
- 13:58Speaker 4: and I was like, that's the same water, and we
- 14:00Speaker 4: had a very long talk.
- 14:02Speaker 2: About how disgusting that is. They couldn't no. I made
- 14:09Speaker 2: sure that she never did that.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Again, but yeah, I mean they didn't understand why I
- 14:14Speaker 4: thought it was so gross.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'm with you, Trey. I think at this point, with
- 14:20Speaker 1: the scientific knowledge now we have about germs and things,
- 14:25Speaker 1: if you're taking a bath to get clean, I think
- 14:30Speaker 1: that can serve as a red flag. If you're taking
- 14:34Speaker 1: a bath for relaxation, or you're doing like an epsom
- 14:37Speaker 1: salt thing whatever. If you're doing it for some other
- 14:41Speaker 1: reason besides getting clean, that's probably okay.
- 14:44Speaker 5: But to get clean, yeah, yeah, if you're going to
- 14:49Speaker 5: take a bath to relax, whether you know, got a
- 14:52Speaker 5: jacuzzie tub, soak your muscles, I EBB, some salt whatever. Great,
- 14:55Speaker 5: But if I take a bath for relaxation at the
- 14:58Speaker 5: end of it, you know what I do. I'm gonna
- 15:00Speaker 5: take a shower because I know I've still been sitting
- 15:02Speaker 5: in my own filth.
- 15:04Speaker 1: And you're disgusted by sitting in your own filth. Now,
- 15:07Speaker 1: let's transfer this into Raj's X, who willingly got into
- 15:12Speaker 1: her roommate's bathwater after having after it had been used.
- 15:18Speaker 4: And I've seen it where she got took the bath first,
- 15:21Speaker 4: and her roommate then went in again, and I was like,
- 15:24Speaker 4: we can't.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Did you make her immediately go back into the bathroom
- 15:27Speaker 1: and take a shower?
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 15:29Speaker 1: Okay? Or did you Or in my head what I
- 15:33Speaker 1: what I would prefer you have done is did you
- 15:35Speaker 1: ever see Turner and Hooch? No, there's a great scene
- 15:40Speaker 1: in there where Tom Hanks trade notes what I'm talking about.
- 15:43Speaker 1: It's a great scene in there where Tom Hanks's character
- 15:45Speaker 1: it's like he needs to clean hooch, so he takes
- 15:48Speaker 1: hooch outside garden hose and a really long brush. It
- 15:51Speaker 1: gives that dog a hell of a bath. That's probably,
- 15:54Speaker 1: in my mind, what you should have done with the
- 15:57Speaker 1: X when she told you that she takes back that's
- 16:00Speaker 1: in her roommate's bathwater.
- 16:01Speaker 5: Now I'm thinking more silk wood.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Uh.
- 16:03Speaker 5: You know radiation scrub.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Power hose.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yeah, Why aren't those Why aren't those like kiosks at
- 16:16Speaker 1: the mall or some type of uh? Because you know,
- 16:19Speaker 1: car washes are are great businesses and they do really well.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Why not like a like a drive through people wash
- 16:25Speaker 1: with similar hose attachment.
- 16:30Speaker 2: I think that's against the law. I think that's public nudity, Dan.
- 16:35Speaker 5: I think the Geneva Convention outlaws that.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Surely there's got to be a clause in there that
- 16:42Speaker 1: makes an exception.

- 17:47Speaker 1: twenty five. Now that we've been thoroughly disgusted by using
- 17:52Speaker 1: other people's bathwater, let's think about something that maybe will
- 17:57Speaker 1: take us back to a simp blur time, a more
- 18:01Speaker 1: wholesome time in our lives, and specifically I'm talking about
- 18:08Speaker 1: nineteen ninety one.
- 18:11Speaker 8: Brings the choices that you've been looking forward, giving you
- 18:17Speaker 8: the right to choose. We're offering much more harm.
- 18:22Speaker 1: In case you missed it at the beginning there, this
- 18:25Speaker 1: is a promotional video from nineteen ninety one for the
- 18:29Speaker 1: dynamic restaurant Sizzler. Now, I mentioned just the other day
- 18:36Speaker 1: that while my wife and I were on vacation in
- 18:38Speaker 1: Puerto Rico, we saw a Sizzler. We didn't go, but
- 18:42Speaker 1: we saw one. I thought they had been long extinct
- 18:46Speaker 1: along with the dinosaurs, and there one was, and I thought.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Instagram showed me this promotional video from nineteen ninety one
- 18:56Speaker 1: starring Sizzler. Because I had set it out loud, my
- 18:59Speaker 1: phone heard it until I looked down underneath the caption
- 19:04Speaker 1: of this Sizzler video and our very own Trey Trendholm
- 19:09Speaker 1: had liked it five days ago. So five days ago,
- 19:15Speaker 1: Trey liked this video on Instagram. And this morning, while
- 19:19Speaker 1: I was on the toilet not brushing my teeth, this
- 19:21Speaker 1: Sizzler video popped up on my feed all because of Trey.
- 19:28Speaker 1: It looks gross in the picture. It's nineteen ninety one.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Very few things look appetizing back then. There are some
- 19:40Speaker 1: very bold claims in this Sizzler commercial from nineteen ninety one.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Let's start this over. It brings the choices that you've
- 19:49Speaker 1: been looking for. So it's really just you know, classic
- 19:53Speaker 1: nineteen nineties with the you know, it's it's a buffet.
- 19:57Speaker 1: It's a restaurant. If you've never been to a Sizzler,
- 19:59Speaker 1: it's it's a buff restaurant with the various stations and
- 20:01Speaker 1: the people that are there, they're dressed up for.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Dinner.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Guys are wearing suits and button down shirts tucked into pants,
- 20:11Speaker 1: and ladies are wearing dresses. Basically it looks like they've
- 20:14Speaker 1: come straight from church. But you can tell it's the nineties.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Buy the hair, the dresses, and the tile around the
- 20:22Speaker 1: bases of the buffet brings the choices that you've been
- 20:29Speaker 1: looking for. Giving you the right.
- 20:34Speaker 8: To choose, We're offering much more harm by holding to traditions.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Get changing with the tide.
- 20:45Speaker 8: Choices and selections, choices.
- 20:49Speaker 1: After I'm sorry, I've got I've got a pause it there.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I guess this lady is at the dessert station. They
- 20:58Speaker 1: show a tight shot of some whip cream and chocolate
- 21:01Speaker 1: sauce being drizzled over the top of it, and then
- 21:03Speaker 1: it pulls back a little bit and then you see
- 21:05Speaker 1: some lady with classic early nineties hair licking her lips
- 21:09Speaker 1: like she's just been off like she I don't even
- 21:14Speaker 1: know how to properly describe how enticed she is by
- 21:19Speaker 1: this chocolate covered whipped cream station at Sizzler. She looks
- 21:22Speaker 1: like something out of chained heat.
- 21:27Speaker 2: I've been to a sizzler.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Nobody looks like that thing that is not their ideal audience.
- 21:33Speaker 1: See, I've never been to a sizzler. I'd always heard
- 21:37Speaker 1: of them. I'd heard of them mentioned in film or television.
- 21:41Speaker 1: When I was really little and still living in Bartlesville, Oklahoma,
- 21:44Speaker 1: we had a restaurant known as Western Sizzling, but that
- 21:48Speaker 1: that was not the same as this place. I don't
- 21:50Speaker 1: think and my my buffet experience as a child was
- 21:56Speaker 1: basically limited to Golden Corral, hometown buff your standard Chinese buffet,
- 22:02Speaker 1: and ponchos.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Wow.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Okay, I never got to experience the magic that apparently
- 22:10Speaker 1: Sizzler is.
- 22:11Speaker 5: Yeah, let'll tell you a cheeseburger in Jesus, that's the
- 22:17Speaker 5: way this commercial it comes off.
- 22:19Speaker 1: It really does. I mean, like like this part right
- 22:22Speaker 1: here where I talk about traditional values but forward thinking
- 22:25Speaker 1: or something as we get this get changing with the time.
- 22:30Speaker 8: Yeah, choices and selections, choices of directions.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I don't think you could find a broader approach to
- 22:45Speaker 1: marketing or restaurant. It's like traditional values, but at the
- 22:48Speaker 1: same time, we're gonna give you lots of choices and options,
- 22:51Speaker 1: you know, like like the forward thinking place we are.
- 22:56Speaker 4: Yeah, the guy was eating the burger with I'm assuming
- 22:59Speaker 4: that's or victim. I don't know which one it was.
- 23:04Speaker 1: It might depend on what vehicle they arrived in.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Yeah, like get back in the van, Like that's the
- 23:09Speaker 4: look on his face, so creepy trying.
- 23:17Speaker 2: To find him again.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Yea freedom in your life at Sizzler. My god, I'm
- 23:26Speaker 1: just saying a lot of pressure for a buffet.
- 23:30Speaker 4: If they showed the actual people that go to Sizzler,
- 23:32Speaker 4: the commercial would look wildly different.
- 23:37Speaker 5: This is what when they opened Sisler. This is what
- 23:40Speaker 5: they thought it was gonna look.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Yeah, this is This is a nineteen ninety one example
- 23:49Speaker 1: of expectations versus reality. I will say this commercial, though,
- 23:56Speaker 1: you know, for the buffet, you know, back in nineteen
- 23:58Speaker 1: ninety one, was very aggressive. There are two black people
- 24:01Speaker 1: in it.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Yes, like I said, they're not.
- 24:08Speaker 1: They've been unfortunately separated.
- 24:11Speaker 2: We don't all know each other.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Dan Well, by watching this video, you'd assume all the
- 24:17Speaker 1: white people do.
- 24:19Speaker 2: It looks like they do.
- 24:21Speaker 4: All the white people in this video are like straight
- 24:23Speaker 4: out of Central Casting, so it looks like they all
- 24:25Speaker 4: know each other. But they're way too dressed up for
- 24:28Speaker 4: the Sizzler. Nobody does a staying on their shirt, nobody is.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Nobody's morbidly obese.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Really well, if you think about it, though, that's because
- 24:36Speaker 1: no one's because no one's going back for the second
- 24:38Speaker 1: trip yet. This is all first trip stuff.
- 24:43Speaker 5: The choice.
- 24:48Speaker 8: Like choices every.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I love how at the end here the lady that
- 25:07Speaker 1: was making sexual advances to the whipped cream dessert station
- 25:12Speaker 1: is now ready to get ready to round all the
- 25:15Speaker 1: bases at Sizzler with her date right there in the restaurant.
- 25:19Speaker 2: I don't think he was a date.
- 25:23Speaker 1: She just you said I could choose at anything I
- 25:31Speaker 1: wanted at the Sizzler. I choose Darren the buff Boy.
- 25:40Speaker 2: It was just in the way of the chocolate fountain.
- 25:45Speaker 2: She just needed to get to it.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I feel like there's another version of this commercial that
- 25:51Speaker 1: they don't want us to see.
- 26:00Speaker 3: You're in the Treehouse business online at Treehouse on Air
- 26:05Speaker 3: dot com. You're in the Treehouse business online at treehouseonair
- 26:17Speaker 3: dot com.
- 26:21Speaker 1: It is time to advertise right here inside the treehouse.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Sponsorship opportunities are available, and if you're interested, to shoot
- 26:27Speaker 1: us an email Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com.
- 26:30Speaker 1: That's Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com to advertise
- 26:33Speaker 1: right here inside the Treehouse. Dana Mally that's me along
- 26:36Speaker 1: with Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. On Tuesday, February twenty fifth,
- 26:41Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Still at the beginning of a new week,
- 26:44Speaker 1: so many things are possible, not for this kid in China,
- 26:48Speaker 1: but for the rest of us. Lots of good things
- 26:50Speaker 1: are still on the horizon, but again, not for this
- 26:53Speaker 1: college kid in China. Here's what I'm talking about. A
- 26:57Speaker 1: college kid in China is making headlines after he accidentally
- 27:01Speaker 1: started a fire in his dorm. The reason why he
- 27:07Speaker 1: started a fire in his dorm is because he was
- 27:10Speaker 1: trying to hide his inflatable sex doll from his roommate,
- 27:15Speaker 1: so he wanted to distract him with a fire, it
- 27:21Speaker 1: seems I mean, how far would you go to hide
- 27:26Speaker 1: your sex doll from your roommate like a fire? Seems
- 27:31Speaker 1: pretty extreme when all you really have to do is
- 27:34Speaker 1: just open the air plug. Wouldn't that be easier?
- 27:39Speaker 2: Put it under the bed all right too?
- 27:41Speaker 1: Yeah, just just let out a little air and then
- 27:43Speaker 1: slide her under the bed. That seems to be a
- 27:46Speaker 1: more practical way to hide her or him. I don't
- 27:49Speaker 1: want to make any judgments. When his roommate came home,
- 27:55Speaker 1: this kid had his inflatable girlfriend out. We don't know
- 28:01Speaker 1: if they were in the middle of a date or what.
- 28:06Speaker 1: When the roommate came home.
- 28:08Speaker 5: I bet the inflatable girlfriend wasn't the only thing that
- 28:11Speaker 5: was out.
- 28:16Speaker 2: He was just taking her to sizzler.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Oh so, anyway, the college kid had his inflatable girlfriend
- 28:26Speaker 1: out when his roommate came home. We don't know if
- 28:29Speaker 1: he was in the middle of enjoying his inflatable doll,
- 28:36Speaker 1: but he snuck her out into the hallway and tried
- 28:38Speaker 1: to destroy the evidence by setting her on fire. That
- 28:42Speaker 1: poor doll. The hallway filled with smoke, which then set
- 28:45Speaker 1: off an alarm. So instead of his roommate finding out,
- 28:48Speaker 1: everybody found out. A security guard called the fire department.
- 28:58Speaker 1: No one was hurt, no peep, that is, and not
- 29:02Speaker 1: a ton of damage was done to the dormitory other
- 29:06Speaker 1: than a little bit of damage to the doll and
- 29:09Speaker 1: a lot to this college kid's reputation.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't live that down. Now, That's that's it.
- 29:16Speaker 2: You're that guy.
- 29:18Speaker 5: It's China. No, you probably literally can't live that down.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I don't know a whole lot about Chinese culture or
- 29:33Speaker 1: you know, but I'm guessing this isn't normal.
- 29:38Speaker 2: In any culture. This isn't normal.
- 29:41Speaker 1: The thing is, though, I can't help but wonder is
- 29:47Speaker 1: it because it was an inflatable doll, Like had this
- 29:51Speaker 1: been one of those real dolls that cost thousands of dollars,
- 29:55Speaker 1: I don't think he's gonna set her on fire because
- 29:57Speaker 1: she costs thousands of dollars.
- 30:05Speaker 5: Unless you just swiped one from the Temu factory and
- 30:07Speaker 5: it was only fifty nine dollars.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Look if if you get a real doll for fifty
- 30:14Speaker 1: nine dollars off of Timu. Not only am I if
- 30:17Speaker 1: I'm your roommate, not only am I going to say, dude,
- 30:22Speaker 1: it's okay because it's a real doll. I'm also going
- 30:25Speaker 1: to give you an extra fist pump because you got
- 30:27Speaker 1: a good deal on her. I'm also going to ask
- 30:30Speaker 1: would you please leave a sock on the door so
- 30:33Speaker 1: I know when you and your doll are having you time,
- 30:37Speaker 1: so I don't accidentally walk in on anything that I
- 30:39Speaker 1: don't want to see.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't.
- 30:45Speaker 4: I don't know how you casually bring up inflatable doll
- 30:47Speaker 4: to your roommate. Okay, so you know you want to
- 30:50Speaker 4: watch the game. I also have an inflatable doll, just.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Like Yeah, I feel like there are some things that
- 30:57Speaker 1: when you have a roommate and I don't. And this
- 30:59Speaker 1: is like college roommate where you're it's it's a you're
- 31:04Speaker 1: living in the same room together. This isn't like, you know,
- 31:07Speaker 1: more into adulthood having a roommate where you have your
- 31:09Speaker 1: own separate bedrooms and you can keep god knows what
- 31:12Speaker 1: hidden places, but when you're in the same room, that
- 31:16Speaker 1: seems like a pretty big gamble.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:20Speaker 4: I had a buddy of mine visiting from India in
- 31:23Speaker 4: La and we're going up and down the Sunset Strip
- 31:26Speaker 4: and the Hustler store is there.
- 31:28Speaker 2: And no Indian kid.
- 31:29Speaker 4: He's like, oh, I'm going there, and I was like
- 31:30Speaker 4: all right, And then he proceeded to buy a fleshlight
- 31:34Speaker 4: like with you there and like yeah, Like I didn't
- 31:37Speaker 4: know what was going like, I was just kind of
- 31:38Speaker 4: walking around doing my own thing.
- 31:39Speaker 5: And then he was at the counter.
- 31:40Speaker 4: I was like, oh, let me catch up with him
- 31:42Speaker 4: because we're gonna leave, and he was purchasing the fleshlight
- 31:47Speaker 4: and I was.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Like, you knew what it was, right, Like yeah, he
- 31:49Speaker 1: didn't think it was some sort of random like jar
- 31:52Speaker 1: opener kitchen apparatus that happened to be at the Hustler store.
- 31:58Speaker 2: He's Indian, He's not stupid.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Well, I'm thinking fish out of water type scenario. I
- 32:05Speaker 1: don't know if they have those in India. If he
- 32:08Speaker 1: sees it, does he automatically know what it does? He
- 32:11Speaker 1: automatically know what it is.
- 32:12Speaker 4: M yeah, I mean they don't have them in India
- 32:15Speaker 4: and you can, I think, go to jail for it.
- 32:18Speaker 2: So that's how much he wanted it, Like he was
- 32:21Speaker 2: in the risk prison.
- 32:23Speaker 1: So he comes to America. So he lives in India.
- 32:26Speaker 5: Mm hm.
- 32:27Speaker 1: He comes to America to visit you. In LA you
- 32:29Speaker 1: take him to the Hustler store where he proceeds to
- 32:32Speaker 1: buy a fleshlight, which is illegal in India.
- 32:36Speaker 4: And I didn't take him to the hustler so we're
- 32:38Speaker 4: walking past it and what I want to go in there?
- 32:42Speaker 1: Does he then try to smuggle it back into India
- 32:45Speaker 1: or does he use it exclusively while staying with you
- 32:49Speaker 1: in Los Angeles with you?
- 32:51Speaker 4: It never came out of the box and it went
- 32:54Speaker 4: directly into his luggage when he got back to my place.
- 32:58Speaker 1: So he attempted to smuggle it back into India.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Yes, it successfully did, but.
- 33:06Speaker 1: He left it in the box, never used it while
- 33:08Speaker 1: while visiting you, Like, there wasn't any sort of weird
- 33:10Speaker 1: moment where you're watching TV and he says, Hey, I
- 33:12Speaker 1: need to go to the bathroom, and then just you know,
- 33:15Speaker 1: like a minute later, when he's in the bathroom, you
- 33:17Speaker 1: hear a weird noise, and you're just like, I don't
- 33:19Speaker 1: really want to find out what's.
- 33:20Speaker 5: Going on in there?
- 33:23Speaker 1: No?
- 33:23Speaker 2: Uh yeah?
- 33:25Speaker 5: Is it really that hard to get laid in a
- 33:26Speaker 5: population of one point five billion people?
- 33:29Speaker 2: Two point four tray get your question.
- 33:38Speaker 4: I I don't know. I don't live there, but I'm
- 33:41Speaker 4: I'm that's why there's arranged marriages. These kids don't get
- 33:44Speaker 4: a lot of action, so that's why their parents have
- 33:48Speaker 4: to set it up for them. They're they're fleshlight people
- 33:51Speaker 4: like a lot of flesh.
- 33:53Speaker 1: So did he successfully smuggle it back into India?
- 33:56Speaker 2: He did? He's uh, yeah, very much so.
- 34:00Speaker 4: And he was sent me an email thanking me for
- 34:03Speaker 4: the trip and all this stuff, and he's like, I
- 34:05Speaker 4: got the flashlight past customs. I was like, well, I'm
- 34:12Speaker 4: pretty sure those guys didn't know what they were looking
- 34:13Speaker 4: at either.
- 34:19Speaker 5: That's a Star Wars character.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Of course, it's a Star Wars character. It's still in
- 34:31Speaker 1: the box.
- 34:38Speaker 3: You're in the tree House. Visit is online at Treehouse
- 34:44Speaker 3: on Air dot com.

- 35:14Speaker 1: the major social media platforms, at Treehouse on Air on
- 35:19Speaker 1: social media. I'm dan with Trey Raj apropos of nothing,
- 35:25Speaker 1: especially if you were listening to this show online consecutively
- 35:28Speaker 1: with the previous segment. I'm just going to ask Raj
- 35:31Speaker 1: a question that has absolutely nothing to do with the
- 35:34Speaker 1: previous segment. Whatsoever. Did they tell him just to stick
- 35:39Speaker 1: it in the dishwasher or yes, I was really hoping
- 35:44Speaker 1: that that was going to be a no.
- 35:47Speaker 4: Okay, Yeah, it's to dismantle it, uh huh and then
- 35:51Speaker 4: rinse it out and then put it in the dishwasher, or.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I don't think it, let's think of what that the
- 35:57Speaker 1: dishwasher or soak it in this with Lee Jim Soap.
- 36:05Speaker 2: That's what I had to walk up to.
- 36:07Speaker 4: Jesus kind of proud that, you know, the Indian kids
- 36:12Speaker 4: got himself a flashlight, but I didn't need to see.
- 36:16Speaker 1: I don't know what you're talking about. That has nothing
- 36:20Speaker 1: to do with the conversation or the thing I was
- 36:21Speaker 1: just asking you about.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's in.
- 36:23Speaker 1: The I hate how you changed topics on me mid sentence.
- 36:28Speaker 5: I'm very proud of this kid.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Okay, there's only one way to come back from this.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Today is Tuesday, February twenty fifth, twenty twenty five. Let's
- 36:46Speaker 1: celebrate with some birthdays. Oh, Noahs You is twenty Today,
- 36:51Speaker 1: Noah You is twenty. He plays Marcus in A Quiet Place,
- 36:55Speaker 1: the first Quiet Place movie. Noah Duke turns twenty. If
- 36:59Speaker 1: you guys have not seen any of the Quiet Place movies,
- 37:02Speaker 1: I highly recommend them. Phenomenal films. All three of the
- 37:06Speaker 1: ones I've seen Quiet Place one, Quiet Place two, and
- 37:08Speaker 1: even the Quiet Place prequel was actually pretty darn good.
- 37:13Speaker 5: You were the first person that I have heard say
- 37:14Speaker 5: the prequel was any good.
- 37:16Speaker 1: I enjoyed it.
- 37:17Speaker 5: Yeah, that's not really a two thumbs up.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Is it?
- 37:24Speaker 4: I haven't looked, but when you vouch for it, Yeah,
- 37:30Speaker 4: I know some of the movies you've seen, so I don't.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Know people that you know. Trey didn't like A Quiet
- 37:39Speaker 1: Place Day one.
- 37:41Speaker 5: As I said, I think you are the first person
- 37:43Speaker 5: that I have heard say that the third one was
- 37:45Speaker 5: any good at all.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Interesting. Maybe I'm just maybe I'm just fascinated by it
- 37:52Speaker 1: because I like the cast.
- 37:55Speaker 2: I don't.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Now I'm questioning. Now I'm questioning things.
- 37:59Speaker 5: I think I liked it.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Who was in the third one? Starred Lupita Nyogo and
- 38:08Speaker 1: I'm brain farting on his name. He's the one that
- 38:11Speaker 1: played Eddie and Stranger Things five and he's Johnny Blaze
- 38:14Speaker 1: and the New Fantastic four movie. Oh wait, wait, wait,
- 38:18Speaker 1: Now that I think about it, there were some things. Yeah, Okay,
- 38:23Speaker 1: I didn't like it as much as I thought I did.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I was I was confusing it with A Quiet Place two.
- 38:28Speaker 1: The third Quiet Place has some moments of sheer stupidity,
- 38:34Speaker 1: Like how that cat doesn't get eaten is beyond me.
- 38:39Speaker 1: I know, if you've seen the movie, that'll make sense.
- 38:40Speaker 1: People are getting eaten left and right because they make
- 38:43Speaker 1: noise or they fart or whatever. That's all right, I
- 38:45Speaker 1: made that up. But this cat somehow lives throughout the
- 38:50Speaker 1: entire film, which I was glad because I don't want
- 38:52Speaker 1: to see a cat torn to shreds. But yeah, there
- 38:55Speaker 1: were certain aspects of it that were pretty dumb. But
- 38:58Speaker 1: you liked Alf, no Trey. I loved alf. Alf is
- 39:09Speaker 1: a goddamn classic. It's a treasure. Alf himself belongs in
- 39:15Speaker 1: the Smithsonian, not just the puppet, but the show. And
- 39:19Speaker 1: the man who voiced him in the Smithsonian. There should
- 39:24Speaker 1: be an entire Alf wing at the Smithsonian.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Do you know what Alf's real name was?
- 39:34Speaker 1: Uh, Alien life force is what? I don't remember his name.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I remember he's.
- 39:42Speaker 4: From Melmac and his name is Gordon Shumway. Oh that's right,
- 39:45Speaker 4: Gordon Shumway.
- 39:46Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 39:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know why I know that.
- 39:50Speaker 1: That's there's this there's this very alien that comes to Earth,
- 39:57Speaker 1: lives with an eighties family. Uh, likes to eat cats.
- 40:01Speaker 1: And his name is Gordon Shumway. Not his like Earth
- 40:06Speaker 1: name that was given to him. No, that's his alien name.
- 40:11Speaker 1: His alien name is Gordon Shumway. It sounds brilliant. How
- 40:13Speaker 1: do you not love that already?
- 40:15Speaker 5: So that this is and Dan's Film and Radio Hall
- 40:19Speaker 5: of or Film, TV and Radio Hall of Fame. You
- 40:22Speaker 5: have the exhibit of American Ninja Alf and then Jim Kotta.
- 40:27Speaker 1: No, Jim Kotta does not deserve a place in the
- 40:32Speaker 1: Smithsonian as a standalone film. It absolutely does not in
- 40:38Speaker 1: the pantheon of trash films. It deserves a mention. If
- 40:45Speaker 1: there was a wing, if there was if there was
- 40:48Speaker 1: an exhibit at the Smithsonian that focused on trash films.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Jim Kotta would deserve a mention.
- 40:56Speaker 2: You need to watch this now.
- 40:58Speaker 5: Yeah, things to do on the toilet besides brushing your
- 41:03Speaker 5: teeth by Dan O'Malley.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Okay, we're all laughing, but now my wheels are spinning.
- 41:14Speaker 1: I think I could write that in like four minutes. Oh,
- 41:21Speaker 1: I'm not even making that up. I'm legitimately thinking that's
- 41:23Speaker 1: a good title for a book.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Chapter one.
- 41:32Speaker 1: They say to start with your strongest stuff.
- 41:39Speaker 2: You gotta pull him in, Dan, you gotta draw in
- 41:43Speaker 2: the reader.

- 43:00Speaker 1: in La and he visited the hustler store and he
- 43:04Speaker 1: came away with his own flesh light to take back
- 43:08Speaker 1: to India. You say those are illegal in India? And
- 43:13Speaker 1: how many how many people or roughly how many men
- 43:19Speaker 1: live in India?
- 43:21Speaker 2: Oh?
- 43:21Speaker 4: I mean it's one point four billion, one point four
- 43:25Speaker 4: to five billion people in country, one billion out of
- 43:27Speaker 4: the country.
- 43:28Speaker 1: So okay, So let's go one and a half one
- 43:30Speaker 1: point four billion people that live in India. Let's say
- 43:34Speaker 1: roughly half are male, and flesh lights are illegal there,
- 43:41Speaker 1: m hm, toys in general, adult toys in general illegal
- 43:47Speaker 1: in India. So I'm assuming there's a healthy black market
- 43:53Speaker 1: for adult toys in India.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Yes, that is very true.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Uh, there's yere somewhere, there's running around the mamba of Mumbai.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Yes, sadly, So buddy.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Is it do you think like high class sales like
- 44:17Speaker 1: in a nightclub or the penthouse of a hotel, or
- 44:20Speaker 1: are we talking about guys with trench coats opening them
- 44:23Speaker 1: up on the street to show people their wares.
- 44:27Speaker 4: It's the slum dog millionaire of sex toys. That's how
- 44:32Speaker 4: underground it is. Like you don't want to you don't
- 44:35Speaker 4: want to visit that neighborhood, but they got the stuff
- 44:38Speaker 4: you need.
- 44:40Speaker 1: But is it is it? Is it quality stuff or
- 44:42Speaker 1: is this gonna be like like the knockoff stuff that
- 44:45Speaker 1: might be a little dangerous.
- 44:47Speaker 4: It's probably made in China because it's next door, and uh,
- 44:51Speaker 4: it's probably the knockoff.
- 44:53Speaker 2: It's not.
- 44:54Speaker 5: It's not like the real flushlight.
- 44:56Speaker 1: It's actually flashlight.
- 45:04Speaker 4: Yes, I wouldn't be surprised if that's how they're passing
- 45:07Speaker 4: it off.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Like what do you have? What do you have right there?
- 45:10Speaker 2: That's my flashlight?
- 45:14Speaker 5: So flashlights are illegal all sex toys. What about tech support?
- 45:26Speaker 2: Tech support for the.
- 45:27Speaker 5: Flash for the flesh light?
- 45:33Speaker 4: You know, it's still be the same script, like, hey,
- 45:36Speaker 4: thanks for calling this a storm, and no it's not.
- 45:42Speaker 1: I'm having a little trouble with with my my brand
- 45:45Speaker 1: new flashlight.
- 45:50Speaker 5: Won't turn on.
