Speaker 1: I am the light of the world. He who follows

Speaker 1: me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light

Speaker 1: of life. Now, this is one of the confrontations Jesus

Speaker 1: had with the religious leaders of the day. He's at

Speaker 1: the feast of Tabernacos. They're seeking to actually kill him.

Speaker 1: Jesus is consistent. He goes to teach, he goes to

Speaker 1: spread the gospel, and they know that they can't stop him.

Speaker 1: They know that they're getting desperate. Now, Jesus isn't just

Speaker 1: claiming to give life. He is like himself. Just as

Speaker 1: the sun reveals the physical world that we see around us,

Speaker 1: Jesus reveals truth. He reveals righteousness and the path of

Speaker 1: eternal life. Without him, people remain in darkness, morally and

Speaker 1: spiritually blind. And that is horrible. That is a horrible

Speaker 1: state to be in. And I mean, man, that's it.

Speaker 1: The world offers its own light right a counterfeit type life.

Speaker 1: They offer fame, they offer pleasure, and they offer us money,

Speaker 1: but all of it flickers. And faith Jesus is the

Speaker 1: only light that exposes what's hidden and heals what is broken.

Speaker 1: Let me say that again. Jesus is the only light

Speaker 1: that can expose the things that are hidden, and also

Speaker 1: heals the things that are broken. Walking with him means

Speaker 1: clarity in confusion, peace in chaos, and direction doubts. We

Speaker 1: cannot afford it not to follow him. Amen. He teaches

Speaker 1: us how to be husbands and wives. He teaches us

Speaker 1: how to gain wealth. He teaches us if we just

Speaker 1: follow him, a lot of things can and will be

Speaker 1: dealt with. Amen thirteen. The Pharisees therefore said to him,

Speaker 1: you bear witness of yourself. Your witness is not true,

Speaker 1: am going. Amen. Now, the Pharisees challenged Jesus on a

Speaker 1: legal technicality that testimony requires two witnesses. But Jesus responds

Speaker 1: from divine authority. He knows his origin and he knows

Speaker 1: his destiny, something that cannot comprehend at this time? Are

Speaker 1: their finite minds could not grasp it? Now you ever

Speaker 1: notice how true threatens religion but comforts relationships. The Pharisees

Speaker 1: represent people today who are so caught up in control

Speaker 1: and caught up in tradition that they can't recognize the

Speaker 1: truth when it's standing right in front of them. Jesus

Speaker 1: is saying, you don't have to validate me at all.

Speaker 1: I am the truth. Come on, Jesus didn't need these

Speaker 1: religious leaders to validate them. He is the source, He

Speaker 1: is the word of life. How many of us get

Speaker 1: confronted with that? I was confronted with that in my

Speaker 1: own ministry, where people were saying, you know what if

Speaker 1: we don't validate you. Then you're not legit. Right, you're

Speaker 1: not legal. It's not legal for you to do or

Speaker 1: this or that the other. Don't get caught up in

Speaker 1: man's tradition. Stay in your word, alright. Let's go to

Speaker 1: verse fifteen through sixteen, and it says you judge according

Speaker 1: to the flesh. I judge no one. And yet if

Speaker 1: I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am

Speaker 1: not alone, but I am with the father who sent me.

Speaker 1: unity with the Father. It's perfect truth, perfect justice, unlike

Speaker 1: human judgment, which is limited and human judgment can be biased. Now,

Speaker 1: live in a cancel culture right now, right that judges

Speaker 1: quick and forgives slow. Let me say that again. We

Speaker 1: live in a cancel culture that is quick to judge,

Speaker 1: but it's slow to forgive. But Jesus, he looks past

Speaker 1: all the surface. He sees motives, not just mistakes. That's

Speaker 1: the light we need shining in our own hearts when

Speaker 1: we're attempted to point fingers right, we need that same

Speaker 1: light when we want to point fingers at everyone else,

Speaker 1: all right. Verse seventeen and eighteen, hallelujah. It says, it

Speaker 1: is also written in your law that the testimony of

Speaker 1: two men is true. I am one who bears witness

Speaker 1: of myself, and the father who sent me bears witness

Speaker 1: of me. And they said to him, who who is

Speaker 1: minds here in a few seconds, now, Jesus. Right here

Speaker 1: he references Deuteronomy chapter nineteen, verse fifteen that says showing

Speaker 1: And what he means by that is, look at the miracles,

Speaker 1: the fulfilled prophecy of his life, and the voice even

Speaker 1: that came down from heaven when he was when he

Speaker 1: was baptized, the Father said that this is my son

Speaker 1: in whom I am well pleased. The Father himself testified

Speaker 1: and gave him that witness. And also through his works,

Speaker 1: the Father gave witness and confirms. Now, sometimes you don't

Speaker 1: need a man's approval when Heaven has already stamped your purpose.

Speaker 1: Now we do know that God put the church in place,

Speaker 1: He put leadership in place. Your pastor in place. If

Speaker 1: you're in a healthy because yeah, let's admit there are

Speaker 1: some unhealthy ministries out there. But if you're in a healthy,

Speaker 1: god fearing, Bible teaching ministry, the Holy Spirit will let

Speaker 1: them know the calling on your life, and if they're wise,

Speaker 1: they will not stand against it. They will not try

Speaker 1: to hinder you at all, all right, Verse nineteen and twenty.

Speaker 1: Then they said to him, where is your father? Jesus answered,

Speaker 1: Verse twenty. These words Jesus spoke in the treasury, as

Speaker 1: believe that we are indestructible until we fulfill our purpose.

Speaker 1: But no, if you read the word of God, knowing

Speaker 1: Not religion, not ritual, its relationship. We're gonna keep saying this,

Speaker 1: and when you walk in that light, you stop living

Speaker 1: like an orphan and start living like a child of God. Hallelujah,

Speaker 1: in your sins. Now this is powerful. If you die

Speaker 1: the time? Thinking about money? When can you make your

Speaker 1: next score? Or whatever? That is your God, Now there's

Speaker 1: a place for all this. Remember the scripture says, seek

Speaker 1: you first the kingdom of God, and all other things

Speaker 1: will be added unto you. There is a submission, there

Speaker 1: is a direction, There is a lordship that the Lord

Speaker 1: wants to exercise over your heart, and beloved, we're gonna

Speaker 1: to check our hearts on that. Hey man. The good

Speaker 1: heard people talk about Jesus. You may hear things or

Speaker 1: maybe understand, but you never really knew him personally, And

Speaker 1: so you can relate why people are excited about Jesus

Speaker 1: and why people devote their lives to him because he

Speaker 1: saved us from some dark, dark stuff. But here we're

Speaker 1: gonna see that he is who he say he is.

Speaker 1: And Jesus said to them, just what I have been

Speaker 1: saying to you from the beginning. I have many things

Speaker 1: to say and to judge concerning you. Now, does that

Speaker 1: not make you a little bit concern? Right? If Jesus

Speaker 1: has a lot of things to say and judge on

Speaker 1: the day of judgment. We need to get right right now.

Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. But he has many things

Speaker 1: Allow the light of the Word to expose it. Before

Speaker 1: you judge anyone else, judge yourself. See whether or not

Speaker 1: you are truly in the faith. And one of the

Speaker 1: do you think about? What dominates your heart? You see,

Speaker 1: we can control the thoughts and our desires. We can

Speaker 1: every thought captive. We have to do this. This is

Speaker 1: our daily maintenance. You can't just let anything in your heart.
