- 0:00Hi dog mums and dads, we're back with another episode of The
- 0:03Natural Dog Mum and thank you for spending the time with us.
- 0:08Today we're going to be having a chat with the lovely Michelle
- 0:10Cummins. Now she is a little bit of a
- 0:13Unicorn in the Australian pet industry.
- 0:16She has and currently has several different pet brands,
- 0:23including her online store, The Natural Pet Pharmacy.
- 0:27She is somewhat of an expert in all things natural when it comes
- 0:32to pet health and pet products. So we're going to be talking
- 0:36about that. We're also going to be talking
- 0:38about a really exciting event that she's organising that's
- 0:43coming up in Melbourne in November called Canine Masters.
- 0:47I will let her spill the tea on that.
- 0:50So stick around to find out all the Goss.
- 0:55Can you tell us a little bit about your journey in the pet
- 0:58industry? How you came to be where you are
- 1:00now I. Can, if we go back, probably
- 1:042010, I had been in corporate around that time and then we had
- 1:10the global financial meltdown. I think around 2009, 2010, I had
- 1:16a little cat called Henry who was very unwell.
- 1:20He had a reaction to a cortisone injection that he was given by
- 1:25an allopathic or conventional vet in my area without my
- 1:29permission, to be honest. So I wouldn't back then, I
- 1:35probably wouldn't have even known.
- 1:36I could have said no or to ask, you know, what the side effects
- 1:40were. Henry was only, oh, he was still
- 1:45very young at that point and he was just, he deteriorated before
- 1:50my eyes. 1% of cats have a, a very harsh reaction to cortisone
- 1:57and he was in that 1%. So Henry was kind of the
- 2:02catalyst for this massive career change.
- 2:05Like I've always been an animal lover, you know, I've got a
- 2:08photo of when I was 3 and I've got a duck on my lap and a
- 2:12rosella on my shoulder. And my dad was like Doctor
- 2:16Dolittle growing up. He had some industrial sheds
- 2:19outside of Lismore and he, he used to own a business that he
- 2:24operated from these big industrial sheds and people
- 2:27would dump cats there. And at one point we had 33
- 2:32dumped cats and then they had kittens and dad would fine homes
- 2:38for them. He was, he loved animals.
- 2:41Dad did so. And I'm also on my mum's side.
- 2:44I've got a long, you know, line there of, of farming uncles who
- 2:50were farmers, but who had an amazing knowledge of, of animals
- 2:55as well, particularly my, my dear uncle Morris, who's well
- 3:00and truly go on now it'd be 101. But he and I had a real affinity
- 3:04when it came to animals. And he just had a greater
- 3:07understanding of the thinking behind their behaviours.
- 3:11And, and he used to observe, observe them all the time and
- 3:14say to me now see how they stretch like that.
- 3:16We need to stretch every morning when we get up and, you know,
- 3:19just all sorts of things. So, so coming back to Henry I,
- 3:25he wasn't sleeping at all. So I made a a bed for him and
- 3:29tried lots of different materials and things like that.
- 3:32And I came across one particular combination that he hopped on
- 3:37and he slept for like 23 hours straight.
- 3:41I actually thought he had died. And that then lead me into a pet
- 3:47bed company at the time called Henry Hottie.
- 3:51And I had that for many, many years.
- 3:54And I don't know, I think sometimes I'm a bit scared of
- 3:58success and I'm my own worst enemy as some of us can be.
- 4:01But I just probably never believed that the product was as
- 4:05good as it was. And even though I ended up being
- 4:08granted a patent for it in 2019, the the bed itself was just
- 4:15incredible in so far as you know, customers would ring and
- 4:18say that their dog or cat, you know would sleep on it without
- 4:21getting up and moving and dogs that had joint issues would show
- 4:26greater mobility after sleeping on the bed.
- 4:29So put a little bit more research into it and all the
- 4:32components of the bed were non toxic as well.
- 4:35So there was no releasing of VOC's and and toxic dyes and the
- 4:40fabrics that arrive in the pet bed industry again unregulated.
- 4:47So I, yeah, really kind of honed in on that.
- 4:51And then in 2022, the name changed to Stan, which was my
- 4:57soul dog who I lost and he passed away that year, 12 1/2.
- 5:03And a friend of mine said that Stan's name was also an acronym
- 5:07for Safe, Therapeutic Australian Non Toxic.
- 5:11So I did the name chain, having a bit of a break and stand still
- 5:16exists today, but it's a very, very labour intensive, hard
- 5:21business. Again, something I do on my own
- 5:24now. I used to have a factory but
- 5:26I've kind of outsourced bits and pieces at the moment.
- 5:30But it is a very hard business, especially post COVID when all
- 5:33the shipping prices went up. So I've had a little bit of a
- 5:37break, but that's about to relaunch this weekend.
- 5:41But what I found was that the people that were coming to me
- 5:43for pet beds for all those years, that was kind of like the
- 5:49what they were hoping would be the silver bullet.
- 5:51So, you know, their dog had all sorts of issues, but they just
- 5:54thought, well, nothing else is fixing this dog.
- 5:58Maybe if it gets a good bed to sleep on.
- 6:00And I found that some of the really critical cases, I would
- 6:05say to them, the pet beds, the last of your concerns, like
- 6:08you've got to address diet, you've got to address, you know,
- 6:12over vaccination, over medication.
- 6:15You know, I've got several who were operated on completely
- 6:19unnecessarily. And, you know, it's just like, I
- 6:24don't know, I just felt there. I have to get to them before we
- 6:27get to that stage. So that's kind of how the
- 6:32natural Pet Pharmacy came about. And I've only been doing that
- 6:36for, I've been researching products for about four years,
- 6:39but I've, I only launched the natural Pet pharmacy just over a
- 6:43year ago. And actually might even be that
- 6:47it might. No, it's not.
- 6:48It's a year in October. Oh my goodness.
- 6:50So, and the natural Pet Pharmacy is really a collection, a small
- 6:55collection at the moment, but a collection of, of products that
- 6:59I've really researched. I've researched with the help of
- 7:03a good friend of mine who is a pharmacist.
- 7:05But he now his whole world is in organic and, and natural
- 7:09medicine. So he's got, you know, the
- 7:12benefit of seeing both sides. And we've really gone through a
- 7:17lot of products and the ones that I stock are the real deal.
- 7:22They are beneficial, they're safe, You know, there's no
- 7:26synthetics, there's there's no binders, there's no all the
- 7:30horrible stuff that can be in what I found about 90% of pet
- 7:35pet food supplements on the market I.
- 7:38Mean the customers really knew what was.
- 7:40In them that you wouldn't touch them, you sure as hell wouldn't
- 7:43be feeling into your pet. So.
- 7:45Oh, look, some of the names are, are quite hard to actually
- 7:49pronounce, but in, in a more general term, I'd be, I be
- 7:54looking at things that have, you know, the flavourings, I'd be
- 7:57looking at the carrier oils or the carrier liquids.
- 8:01There's preservatives, there's coating agents, tablets, you
- 8:05know, just tablets in general. They're so heat treated that
- 8:10what's left in them of any benefit is, is really, you know,
- 8:14of no benefit at all. There's, you know, surfactants,
- 8:18there's bulking agents, there's all sorts of things that they
- 8:23put into these products. And the problem is that a lot of
- 8:27people don't realise that in Australia they only have to
- 8:32declare the active ingredients, not the non active ingredients.
- 8:37So which are a lot of the time, you know, the bulking agents,
- 8:43fillers of all descriptions and they cause so many problems
- 8:48because often they're synthetic for a start, and they, the
- 8:54burden they create on the liver is, you know, can be long term.
- 8:59And then of course, we know that if the liver's not functioning
- 9:01problem properly, that's, you know, that creates the perfect
- 9:06storm for a whole lot of other illnesses to to present.
- 9:10So there's a lot that people need to look into and I know
- 9:15we've discussed it that we will create a list of what, you know,
- 9:21specifics of what we need to look for for customers to have a
- 9:25reference point. Because.
- 9:27And it's not just in supplements either, it's in grooming
- 9:30products, it's in toys. It's, you know, there's a range
- 9:36of different things that we need to seriously look at and create
- 9:41a standard because the industry is not creating that standard.
- 9:45It is. It's a free for all out there at
- 9:47the moment and there's a lot of people making a lot of money.
- 9:52Absolutely. And particularly when you're
- 9:54talking about and we. Really need to stop that.
- 9:58We really need to. Diet, toys, shoes, all of those
- 10:02things. There is no central source of
- 10:07information for people to go to to find out if something's safe.
- 10:13I mean, not a lot of people in Australia are aware.
- 10:16There is actually a thing on the Internet.
- 10:18There is a website called the Shampoo Ingredients Database
- 10:22that exists in America where you can simply go to and you can pop
- 10:28in the ingredient you've seen and it will tell you whether
- 10:30it's safe or not. But that's only grooming
- 10:32products. That doesn't cover all of the
- 10:35other types of products and the things that you either wouldn't
- 10:38know were there or if you did read them on the ingredients
- 10:41list, it's like reading Klingon. You wouldn't know what it means
- 10:45or whether it's safe or whether it's not.
- 10:48So yeah, something we definitely need to look at.
- 10:51We do and the natural Pet Pharmacy, we're in the process
- 10:54of developing, you know, a lot of resource material for for
- 11:00customers to look at and you know, it doesn't necessarily
- 11:03mean that what they buy is something that we stock.
- 11:07You know, there's a lot of products out there.
- 11:09I don't necessarily stock products that, you know, someone
- 11:14else imports and then, you know, it's just it's not viable for me
- 11:19to do that. There's alien products that, you
- 11:22know, we like to see the those companies benefit from the
- 11:27customer going straight to them to keep them afloat.
- 11:31But when it comes to international products, there
- 11:34are so many incredible brands out there.
- 11:37There are so many incredible people that are, you know,
- 11:40making strides in natural medicine for animals.
- 11:44But the problem is we've been so indoctrinated and by
- 11:47pharmaceutical companies that we believe that we couldn't
- 11:51possibly manage our pets health when they're sick.
- 11:56We can do our best, do what we can do to keep them healthy, but
- 12:01as soon as they get diarrhoea or as soon as they vomit, it's like
- 12:06all bets are off. We know nothing and we've got to
- 12:08take them to the vet. They're given an antibiotic or
- 12:11an anti nausea and then the whole cycle starts all over
- 12:15again. For me, my role in the industry
- 12:19is, you know, to provide safe and effective products, but to
- 12:25also help customers, you know, become more confident in how
- 12:31they manage these little things. Vomiting and diarrhoea, you
- 12:37know, or a little cut or a graze or something like that.
- 12:40What what is a vet visit? Because it's not necessarily
- 12:45those small things that we can address ourselves, you know,
- 12:48selves. I'm a big fan of colloidal
- 12:50silver for cuts and abrasions and absences and things like
- 12:53that. Once I knew what it was and how
- 12:57to use it. My previous cat, Tommy, he
- 13:01didn't go to the vet for years. He never needed to because I'd
- 13:05always applied the colloidal silver and 24 hours later he'd
- 13:10be as good as gold and, and off you'd go again.
- 13:12So, and it's not because I don't want to spend the money.
- 13:16I'd, I'd give every cent I have to my animals if it could save
- 13:19them. It's more that that's not a
- 13:23necessary spend because it's not a big deal.
- 13:28You know, allopathic medicine is there for emergencies.
- 13:32Absolutely. I, you know, my own girl Alice
- 13:36had a grand Mal seizure when she was 18 months old.
- 13:40She's 11 now and had it not been for the work of the animal
- 13:44emergency that she was taken to, she wouldn't be with us today.
- 13:49Having said that though, the vets at the animal emergency the
- 13:53following day said to me we don't know what caused it, it
- 13:56was idiopathic. However, she needs to be on anti
- 14:01seizure medication for the rest of her life and that wasn't
- 14:05going to happen because they couldn't tell me what caused it.
- 14:09So why would I medicate her for something that, you know, and
- 14:13she's never had another seizure since.
- 14:16So, you know, I just took it all into my own hands.
- 14:20I, I cannabis all for her. She was already eating a high
- 14:25quality raw diet. I just upped it a bit in quality
- 14:28to all organic. She had homoeopathic remedies
- 14:33from Lindell, from Canine Vitality.
- 14:35And Alice is as good as gold. She's an incredible 11 year old.
- 14:41You know, she still runs on our walks.
- 14:43She's extremely healthy. And yeah, so I don't think that
- 14:48would be the. Case had she been I agree
- 14:50completely and decision. Medication.
- 14:52The same way that I managed all of my animals as well.
- 14:55I mean, traditional vets absolutely have an important
- 14:58role, they're there for a reason.
- 15:00But my dogs will only go to a vet if I need imaging or I need
- 15:05some some sort of help in finding out what the problem is,
- 15:11if I need blood analysed or if there's some some sort of
- 15:16accident and the and the injury is high risk of infection.
- 15:20That for example, we've had a couple of nasty run insurance
- 15:24with Kangaroos who've sliced and diced and they were big, big
- 15:29wounds. So I at least I at least wanted
- 15:31them looked at. Unfortunately, in some cases
- 15:35like that, they may not be an option but to do the
- 15:40antibiotics. But if I do, if I do do them,
- 15:44and I only use them when it's strictly when it's necessary.
- 15:48I'm also back at home, you know, I'm making sure that they got
- 15:52it, getting the pre and the probiotics that they need, that
- 15:55I'm supporting their guts and they're not going to have
- 15:59further problems. I will also make sure I'm doing
- 16:03things to support their liver as well so that they're I would
- 16:08hope not building up long term toxicity, all of those sorts of
- 16:14things that you can do in conjunction with that.
- 16:16But as you said, if it's everyday knots and scrapes, if
- 16:20it's an upset tummy, things like that, if it's non emergency,
- 16:26I'll deal with that at home. And even the same with
- 16:30vaccinations. If I think that their immunity
- 16:35is in question, I will tie the test to see where they're at.
- 16:39But I don't automatically vaccinate every 12 months
- 16:42because it's overkill. And you're just adding to, you
- 16:46know, the toxic sludge that's sitting in their bodies that
- 16:49mounts up over time and. We're at a stage now where it's
- 16:52not even the toxic sludge. It is the addition to, you know,
- 16:58to the vaccines. They, they aren't today what
- 17:03they once were. There we have the RMR, I'm
- 17:07coming to think now the RNMRNA. There we go.
- 17:13That's been added to animal vaccines just in the last little
- 17:18while. I think Doctor Judy Morgan was
- 17:20talking about this the other day.
- 17:23And our animals are literally Guinea pigs for the
- 17:26Pharmaceutical industry in this respect.
- 17:29And they do it all the time. Like we've, we can discuss even
- 17:33Librella, which is Borenza I think it is in Australia, nasty
- 17:40stuff. That's a failed human drug.
- 17:42So you know, when you know that this is how the world's
- 17:45operating where they can just kind of chop and change and put
- 17:49a new label on something and Oh well, your dog would die.
- 17:53But that's the price we're willing to pay.
- 17:56They don't care about your animal.
- 17:59They don't care. So we have to be, we have to be
- 18:04the the voice, the protector, the decision maker for our pets
- 18:09because for many of them, there's no second chance.
- 18:13You don't get to do it over again because you're losing the
- 18:16first time. And like, energetically, our
- 18:19animals are so much more valuable to this planet and to
- 18:23us than we've ever realised. You know, they transmute energy.
- 18:27They, they take our negative, our hurt emotions and they
- 18:32change that and give it back to us in a happier, you know, more
- 18:36positive form. And they're just incredible at
- 18:40what they do. And I believe there is a huge
- 18:43agenda to eradicate companions, companion animals.
- 18:48It's not even a secret. It was discussed at the World
- 18:52Economic Forum, I think in 2023 that that was the intention
- 18:57because of their contribution to climate change.
- 19:00So, you know, that's a that'll be a death sentence for humans
- 19:04if that ever happened. I don't see it happening in my
- 19:06lifetime. But, you know, we, we really do
- 19:09have to arm ourselves with as much knowledge as possible when
- 19:14it comes to what we're putting into our pets bodies because
- 19:19once they're they're in there, particularly things that are
- 19:22injected, you can't get them out.
- 19:26That's it. So that to me is incredibly
- 19:30scary and also incredibly sad because, you know, it's all well
- 19:34and good to say, oh, my dog was given an in, you know, a vaccine
- 19:38and didn't have any reaction. It was fine.
- 19:40We don't know what's going on in the inside.
- 19:42We don't know the terror that they might be feeling, you know,
- 19:46from this horrible toxic sludge, as you call it, that's just been
- 19:50injected into their body, into their system.
- 19:53That's going to cross the blood brain barrier.
- 19:55It could be giving them crazy thoughts.
- 19:58It could be giving them, you know, I don't know, you know,
- 20:03elevating fear. I certainly know that even with
- 20:06the foods today, today the dry food.
- 20:09The sugar content, the preservatives and everything
- 20:12else, the mental clarity is lost without our dogs.
- 20:16You know, they don't have the benefit of being able to make a
- 20:19clear decision in the moment. So a lot of them are throwing,
- 20:23you know, reactions to whatever the event is because this
- 20:27perceived threat is. It's just too overwhelming for
- 20:31them to process. And that's incredibly sad.
- 20:35You don't see that as often with the dogs that are raw fed, you
- 20:39know, that have minimal vaccines to none at all.
- 20:42They're not given chemical flea and tick treatments.
- 20:45You know the grooming products like anything you put on their
- 20:48skin is absorbed. So you know all it's layer upon
- 20:52layer. You take them for a walk around
- 20:55suburbia and they're through their paws.
- 20:57They're absorbing the glyphosate lead from car fumes like just
- 21:03everything. So the toxic load is massive and
- 21:08then you're adding yeah, these unnecessary vaccines that are
- 21:14given under what I believe is false pretence.
- 21:18You know, we're told that them for their health and it's not.
- 21:22It is not. There are so many other ways to
- 21:25protect our pets without injecting them with this foreign
- 21:30substance that is full of things that we don't even know half of
- 21:34what they are. Since the COVID, you know,
- 21:39pandemic, it's opened a lot of people's eyes to what's truly
- 21:43going on in that industry. And, you know, it's, Yeah, I
- 21:48think we all should be very alert to what's going on and be
- 21:51armed with a lot of information to make that decision for our
- 21:54animals because we're not injecting it into our body.
- 21:58They're we're injecting it into theirs.
- 22:00So our responsibility. With that in mind.
- 22:03To get it right. We've created this event coming
- 22:07to Melbourne in October called Canine Masters.
- 22:12Tell us a little bit more. So I'm Co host of that event.
- 22:16Some of your viewers, if they're familiar with PHEVO from
- 22:19Augustine, approved. PHEVO was the original creator
- 22:24of this type of thing. Back in 2015, he hosted Master
- 22:29Chops, which was a a fantastic event.
- 22:32He brought out Karen, Dr Karen Becker and Rodney Habib and it
- 22:38was really an amazing time. He probably made it look a bit
- 22:41too easy because when we had a chat one day and, and said that
- 22:45we should be doing another, oh, he should be doing another.
- 22:47And he's like, I'll do it if you come on board.
- 22:49And I was like, no problem. It's an enormous thing to
- 22:53organise. It is, it's huge.
- 22:56The amount of, of organisation that's required is quite
- 23:01extraordinary. But it's done, it's happening.
- 23:04And I feel that we've got some of the best speakers, you know,
- 23:10at the at this time coming from the US and from the UK.
- 23:16We have Rita Hogan, who I think everyone loves Rita.
- 23:22And if they don't yet, just because I don't know her or know
- 23:25of her, she's written a fantastic book called The Herbal
- 23:28Dog. And it's also just been released
- 23:30on audio books as well. And you're driving around and
- 23:34you're wanting to listen to something that just is so
- 23:37informative. 100% download that book.
- 23:42So we have Rita coming. We've got Amy Rez.
- 23:46Amy is the owner of Goodness Gracious, which is a raw feeding
- 23:50company and she's really bringing some, you know, up to
- 23:53date information and probably a few biology lesson lessons on on
- 23:58canines and how you know, raw really is best or, or lightly
- 24:02cooked if you have to, but you know, do away with the kibble.
- 24:06There's no place for that in a healthy pet.
- 24:10And then we have Doctor Michael Dim Doctor Michael is an
- 24:13extraordinary homoeopathic vet. He, he's been around for years.
- 24:19He's like, I think 30 years he's been in the veterinary industry.
- 24:22And he's got a great story, you know, of how he transitioned to
- 24:28homoeopathy. And he's quite a vocal, you
- 24:33know, speaker when it comes to like vaccinosis as well and
- 24:37helping pet owners identify what is a vax, what is vaccine damage
- 24:42in their pets. Because a lot of the time, you
- 24:46know, these illnesses and diseases are relabeled or
- 24:50labelled as something new, when in actual fact, they are a
- 24:54vaccine reaction. And they can occur within days
- 24:59of the vaccine given, but they can occur within years.
- 25:02So when there's a distance between the actual vaccine date
- 25:06being administered and the symptoms of whatever the
- 25:10supposed illness or disease is, we don't make the connection.
- 25:13But that is exactly what it could be.
- 25:16So he's going to talk at length about that.
- 25:18He's a very interesting man and very generous with his time.
- 25:23There's a few, sure quite a few people who have benefited from a
- 25:27lot of information he shares freely on different platforms on
- 25:32Facebook. So he's one to, to listen to.
- 25:36And then we have Caroline Ingram from the UK.
- 25:40Caroline is the founder of Applied Zoo Pharmacognacy.
- 25:45And I met Caroline or before she was actually going to come out
- 25:50as a guest of Henry Hottie back in I think 2019.
- 25:53It might have been and then COVID when everything happened.
- 25:58But she's extraordinary and I could listen to her for days.
- 26:02Her information is just, you know, it's just not discussed in
- 26:07mainstream, you know, conversations on pet health.
- 26:11It brings in a whole new perspective.
- 26:13And and then of course, we've got Doctor Matthew Muir, who
- 26:17he's the founder of the formulator of Leica.
- 26:22So he's certainly, you know, wanting to get the message out
- 26:27there on, you know, moving away from cable feeding to lightly
- 26:32cooked if you need. And then, yeah, Amy will be
- 26:36talking about the raw journey. And then of course, we've got
- 26:40Phevo who'll be talking about, you know, the time he's having
- 26:44recently with his business and what's been going on there,
- 26:50which will be of interest to a lot of people.
- 26:53I won't be speaking because public speaking is probably my
- 26:56biggest fear. I'm just telling myself that you
- 27:00and I are just having this friendly chat today.
- 27:02There's no recording, nothing. But yeah, the event itself is
- 27:07going to be, yeah, a bit of a game changer I think for
- 27:10Australian pet owners. And the response has been
- 27:15fantastic with there's a few couple of tickets left in each
- 27:18category, but yeah, we're very surprised how quickly they were
- 27:24jumped on. And I knew they would be.
- 27:26I knew they would be. But yeah, it just goes to show
- 27:28how thirsty pet parents are for information.
- 27:34And they, you know, they want to hear from people who aren't
- 27:37afraid to discuss the truth and who aren't afraid to, you know,
- 27:41introduce different perspectives to pet care, natural pet care.
- 27:47So on the day we've got like a product Expo market, so
- 27:54attendees can purchase some of there'll be some new releases
- 27:57there, which will be really exciting.
- 27:59We'll have demos, I'll be able to meet and greet with the
- 28:02speakers and have a chat. And then for the VIP ticket
- 28:06holders, we have a, a cocktail event that night, which will be
- 28:12fun to get all dressed up and, and have a lovely dinner and,
- 28:17and a drink if they choose and, and just mingle with the
- 28:20speakers again and see them in their natural habitat.
- 28:24It'll be, yeah, it'll be really great.
- 28:27I'm really looking forward to Canine Masters.
- 28:29I think it will be the catalyst for, you know, for change for
- 28:36pet parents demanding a lot of change in the industry and then
- 28:40we'll look at hopefully being able to repeat this in 2027.
- 28:47Maybe we've got some other wonderful speakers that we'd
- 28:50like to have out here. We did hope to have Doctor Steve
- 28:53Marston and his wife Karen, but the schedule was just, we
- 28:57couldn't align them unfortunately.
- 28:59But they're very keen to get out to to be able to meet the pet
- 29:03owners of Australia. So but no canine masters is
- 29:07something that I really encourage as many to attend as
- 29:12possible because there'll be a lot of things discussed there
- 29:16that we probably wouldn't be discussing outside of that
- 29:19closed event. Just because you can't you
- 29:23you've got to be, you're going to toe the line.
- 29:25You've got to be so careful. But you know, we want to be able
- 29:30to have a really honest conversation and I don't see why
- 29:34that's a threat to any particular agency or
- 29:37organisation because, you know, knowledge is power.
- 29:41So and if we can do the right thing by our animals, we're all
- 29:45happy for it. We all that's what we all want
- 29:47is our pets to be healthy and and happy and live long, you
- 29:52know, comfortable, happy. Talk about the goodie bags.
- 29:55There's some really great, really fantastic products down
- 29:59in the goodie bag, It's true. The goodie bags, Oh my gosh,
- 30:06there's there are some amazing products going into into our
- 30:11goodie bags. They're actually worth more than
- 30:12the tickets themselves for those who are attending in their
- 30:15category and the generosity that, you know, we've
- 30:20experienced from the people. One particular brand bearing
- 30:24kind apothecary. There's some there's yes.
- 30:31So which I absolutely love that I keep going on too about the
- 30:35settle petal. I have a jar of it here and I
- 30:37just the tin and I open it when I need to calm down.
- 30:40It's it's great for the nerves and the skin.
- 30:44So, yeah, we we've really made a point of the goody bags being,
- 30:51you know, something so worthwhile that every attendee
- 30:53will walk away thinking, you know, what I just listened to
- 30:57was worth every cent. But then you're taking that away
- 31:01again to, you know, and these are full products.
- 31:03They're not like little, little sachets, you know, these are.
- 31:07Yeah. So it's gosh, there's I don't
- 31:11want to give too much away because, yeah, I want it to be a
- 31:14surprise. We, we both do.
- 31:16We want it to be a surprise for those who are attending.
- 31:20But it really will be an event not to miss.
- 31:23And I, I'm so honoured to be part of it.
- 31:28But you know, Phoevo is, he just knows his stuff and he's going
- 31:35to put on a magnificent show, you know, and it's, it's a big
- 31:39thing to do that as well as run our own businesses.
- 31:42But it will be so worth it. It will be so worth it.
- 31:45And yeah, I look forward to after hearing the feedback from
- 31:49people because I, I can't imagine there won't be anyone
- 31:53attending that won't walk away just thinking it was.
- 31:55Definitely I'm I'm counting down.
- 31:58I'm I'm looking, I'm I'm so looking forward to just the the
- 32:03networking and catching up with everybody Catered lunch as well.
- 32:08They feed you too, everyone and the speakers as well,
- 32:13particularly Rita Hogan. I actually trained under her for
- 32:19my canine herbalism certification.
- 32:23And yeah, I'm, I'm a huge, huge fan of hers.
- 32:28Just just love her work. The amount of knowledge that she
- 32:31manages to fit in her brain. And the book is amazing too.
- 32:37So yeah, particularly looking forward to to that one.
- 32:40It'll be lost. Really.
- 32:41Well, the book will be available there too.
- 32:43You can either bring you, if you've got a copy of the book,
- 32:45you can take it and have it signed by reader or if you want,
- 32:50you can purchase one. We'll be having them discounted
- 32:53for attendees and they'll be signed copies as well.
- 32:57And you mentioned there about, you know, the networking.
- 33:01There are some attendees who celebrities in their own right
- 33:06that are coming along just as part of the audience.
- 33:10And yeah, that in itself is amazing.
- 33:12They're not there, you know, as to contribute as speaker or
- 33:17anything like that. They're there to learn, you
- 33:20know, what's what will be shared, the information that
- 33:23will be shared by our speakers. And that was really humbling
- 33:27actually, seeing, you know, who is coming.
- 33:30There was no fanfare. So you could find yourself
- 33:33sitting next to a couple of celebrity, you know, vets and so
- 33:38forth, just because they've purchased a ticket and just want
- 33:42to be part of the day. So yeah, it's really going to be
- 33:46an exciting event and there's so much we've got planned.
- 33:51We've got great things planned for the speakers because they're
- 33:54coming a long way for this. But, and I think for all of
- 33:58them, it's their first, except for Caroline and and Matthew, of
- 34:01course, as Matthew's Australian doctor.
- 34:02Matthew and Caroline Ingram, she comes out to Australia every so
- 34:07many years. But for Rita and her partner,
- 34:10Amy and her, her sister and Michael, this is their first
- 34:15time down under and we really want to make it something
- 34:19special for them. So as you know, much as it will
- 34:23be an unforgettable, unforgettable event for the
- 34:25attendees, it will be equally as unforgettable for our speakers.
- 34:29So it'll, it will be a great event and hopefully it opens up
- 34:35discussion in the industry, not just in the veterinary industry,
- 34:39but just in, you know, in the pet food industry because our
- 34:43fabulous, you know, sponsor is the pet food shop who you know,
- 34:52are bringing. They've really helped us to be
- 34:55able to achieve, you know, certain things for the event.
- 34:59And so, you know, there'll be lots and lots of things to to
- 35:04learn and to take away from it, you know, for the speakers and
- 35:09for those who are attending. So it's because the pet feed
- 35:14industry really needs a shake up.
- 35:16The pet supplement industry needs a massive shake up.
- 35:21Yeah. So there'll be some things
- 35:24happening. We've got a few plans just to, I
- 35:28don't know, just to bring greater transparency to the
- 35:30industry. It's got to happen because we've
- 35:33got pets dying so unnecessarily. And then we've got, you know,
- 35:40broken spirited humans who whose lives won't be the same without
- 35:47that animal. And, and I certainly know that
- 35:50I've lost many animals over the years, but none impacted me as
- 35:55great as losing Stanley. He was probably the naughtiest
- 35:59dog God ever put breath into. And I just would never have
- 36:03changed him for all the tea in China.
- 36:05He had so much spunk. He had just, yeah, he was a
- 36:09thinker. He was a comedian.
- 36:11And that it was, it was a death in the family.
- 36:15It was losing a family member. And it 100% is.
- 36:20So that took me a long time and still even now I have days where
- 36:26it just feels really hard. You know, his absence is just
- 36:31the weight of that is massive and it's been just over three
- 36:35years. So yeah, he was something else.
- 36:40And then I adopted a 13 year old cat from she was on death row a
- 36:47few months after Stan past. And I had no intention of doing
- 36:50that at all. And then I don't know, next
- 36:53thing I filled out this foster care form and she arrived and
- 36:56I'm like, you're our family. Like that's it.
- 37:00You're not going anywhere. And I have to say she has got so
- 37:04many mannerisms of stands. It's quite.
- 37:09Yeah. It's has me thinking a lot
- 37:13because it just wasn't by chance, by accident that this
- 37:16little dictator arrived in the home like she did.
- 37:19She's she. Yeah.
- 37:21She's something else. And Alice and I were grieving so
- 37:24much, and she just changed that. She just brought this energy
- 37:29into the home that was very healing.
- 37:32But, you know, I'd give anything to have stand back.
- 37:37But I think for those of us who, you know, people who lose an
- 37:40animal before their time, that's this.
- 37:45The grief is just, yeah, it goes on and on.
- 37:49So that's what I want to avoid for people.
- 37:52I want to help them, you know, by supplying products that
- 37:57aren't going to contribute to illness.
- 38:01It's going to make their pet healthier and happier and more
- 38:05at peace and, you know, calmer. So, yeah, which is the direction
- 38:11that industry needs to move to because it's not there at all at
- 38:14the moment. So for pet parents who are
- 38:17interested in finding out more about Canine Masters, where,
- 38:21where can they go? They can go to the website,
- 38:25Canine Masters website to purchase tickets.
- 38:28There's also a link on the Natural Pet Pharmacy homepage
- 38:33that will direct them to the link as well.
- 38:35And very simple process. But yeah, I wouldn't wait too
- 38:40long because I'd say within the next probably the next 4 weeks,
- 38:43we'll see. The tickets are all all sold for
- 38:46VIP attendees. It's a yeah, it'll be a big day
- 38:53but there is time to go home, back to the accommodation change
- 38:57and then come back to everything's organised, quite
- 39:00central and then we can also assist with the accommodation
- 39:06recommendations. Fevo's got a few there that will
- 39:10be nice and close to the venue. And then the venue itself.
- 39:14It's worth a visit to Melbourne just to see the Capitol Theatre.
- 39:17It's just an exquisite venue and we deliberately chose that one.
- 39:23This time around. We wanted a smaller number of
- 39:28seats. So I think there's like 560
- 39:32seats and everything's very central, but it all adds to that
- 39:37over overall experience. And if anyone has any issues
- 39:42with tickets or group purchases, give Fevo a call and yeah, and
- 39:48we can assist with with ticket purchases that.
- 39:51Way so that website caninemasters.com dot AUI
- 39:56wouldn't wait too long. I would definitely get in there
- 40:00sooner rather than later. It's going to be a fantastic
- 40:04event, well worth attending. So.
- 40:08So yeah, something's worth checking out.
- 40:10It is. It'll be great and it's, yeah,
- 40:13it'd be great to meet people. Looking forward to meeting a lot
- 40:18of customers from the natural Pet Pharmacy.
- 40:21There's a lot from Victoria. So we've been on journeys
- 40:24together with their pets and trying the different supplements
- 40:28and seeing great improvement. And yeah.
- 40:32And we've got many more products that will be I'll be bringing
- 40:35into the country just waiting for permits to be approved.
- 40:41Yeah. And doing my best is a bit of a
- 40:43battle with some of the products because they won't let them in.
- 40:45But they're game changing. So trying to find a way of, of
- 40:50bringing them into the country because we don't offer them here
- 40:53and they are, you know, they're changing lives.
- 40:55So if any of your, your viewers or listeners are, you know, have
- 41:01a product that they're trying to get in and they can't have, they
- 41:04don't have access to it, they can always drop me a line and,
- 41:07and I can have a look into it and see if I can bring that into
- 41:11the country. And Speaking of products, you've
- 41:13just launched a brand new line of medicinal mushroom
- 41:16supplements. Oh God, they're lovely.
- 41:20They're the line's main goes into my my espresso coffee every
- 41:26morning. These are beautiful mushroom
- 41:29powders. I'm working on some blends.
- 41:31I've got a couple of little things that are happening behind
- 41:33the scenes. They're the supplier of these
- 41:38mushroom powders I've been a big fan of for many years and used
- 41:43them myself for many years. And they're sourced from the
- 41:48higher region of China, So up near the, the top of China, the
- 41:54close to Mongolia. So everything's different up
- 41:57there. I think when people hear, oh,
- 41:58it's from China, they think it's down where the clothes are made
- 42:02in the southern area. And it's not, it's, it's even,
- 42:06you'd think it was a different country.
- 42:08It's just pristine up there. And there are, there are farms
- 42:12that are contracted and they, they all grow the mushrooms and
- 42:18it's the way they harvest them. That was that sealed the deal
- 42:22for me because they're harvested off the logs, off the trees so
- 42:28gently that they retain the integrity of the mushroom.
- 42:32They're not just kind of, you know, roughly removed.
- 42:35It's done with such intention and care.
- 42:38And that to me because everything is vibration.
- 42:41And that to me is really integral in in assuring the
- 42:47quality of the product. And I absolutely love it.
- 42:52Just the other day I had some organic gelatin powder and I
- 42:58mixed in some of the mushroom powders with that and into a
- 43:01mould and made these gorgeous jellos for for Allie that go in
- 43:07her dinner and she loves it. She'll take the mushroom powder
- 43:10anyway, I'll give it to her. She loves that, but it was just
- 43:13making it look a little bit more appealing and they're beautiful.
- 43:17I stand by the quality of these. I absolutely love them.
- 43:21And then following on from that, we'll soon be launching Northern
- 43:24Rivers Buffalo Dog Treats, which I have a friend of mine who has
- 43:30a Buffalo farm in the beautiful area of the Northern Rivers.
- 43:34And so, yeah, a source, source some of the products from her
- 43:41and the liver and kidney and heart and meat.
- 43:44And yeah, we're in the process of setting all that up at the
- 43:46moment. So they'll be sold through the
- 43:49natural Pet Pharmacy to begin with.
- 43:52And as we discussed before we started this today that my I had
- 43:57the bags all ready to go and to box and Alice, my dog got
- 44:03through the door and got through the box and helped herself to
- 44:08several $100 worth of products. So anyway, that's, that's how
- 44:13good they are. She was willing to risk me
- 44:18losing my brain. It's yeah, they were that good.
- 44:21So. And guys, a diary that.
- 44:23Was, oh gosh, it's probably going to be a long night.
- 44:28But anyway, she'll learn a very valuable lesson.
- 44:32Well, for today, she'll probably forget it and be back there
- 44:34tomorrow. Well, and I learned a lesson
- 44:38too. So those boxes will be kept much
- 44:42higher than than where they were.
- 44:45But anyway. But yeah, so there's lots of
- 44:47things coming through the natural pet pharmacy and, and at
- 44:51the end of the day, it's really just about, you know, providing
- 44:55products that are what they say they are.
- 44:58They're everything I would take myself and feed my own animals.
- 45:02They're from people like, you know, Doctor Steve Marsden, who
- 45:05is, you know, I have his range of gold standard herbs and which
- 45:10is Chinese medicine based. He's extraordinary, that man.
- 45:14I, every time I listen to him, I, I learn something new.
- 45:19So I've got those and oh gosh, trying to think now all the
- 45:24other products that we've got. But there's a lot and there's a
- 45:26lot to come, and we've got a very big surprise coming for the
- 45:31cat lovers of Australia. So I can't say too much about
- 45:36that yet. But yeah, just subscribe to the
- 45:38website because you'll hear hear about it first.
- 45:41But it's something that's long overdue in Australia for cats
- 45:45and it's very exciting. So what's the URL for people
- 45:49wanting to find you? So
- 45:51www.naturalpetpharmacy.com.au. And it's farm with an F, not
- 45:58aph. Thank you very much for saying
- 46:01that. Yes, it's FARMACY, so.
- 46:06Beautiful. Thank you so much for coming on
- 46:09and for your time today. It's been great chatting with
- 46:12you and we're definitely going to need to get you back in the
- 46:15new year. Lots more to talk about.
- 46:18Well, I just think there's so much that needs to be discussed.
- 46:21It's a, it's a topic that is my heart.
- 46:24Like I just, I'll do anything for animals.
- 46:26I will absolutely do anything. And yeah, so there's just so
- 46:30much to to discuss and I really look forward to sharing, you
- 46:34know, everything new to come, you know, with the pet owners of
- 46:38Australia and, and yeah, being on the journey with them and
- 46:42their pet to, to perfect natural health because that's what we
- 46:46want for all of them. Absolutely.
- 46:49Thank you so much again. Thanks for the invite, it's been
- 46:53a pleasure.
