- 1:04SPEAKER_00: How you doing?
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: How your day going?
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: Well, how's your day going?
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Monday is going good, y'all.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Like it's going good.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: Even with me not thinking about the information that I got today, but it actually, like I was telling my mom today, I was like, I am just in a season of um, I'm I'm I'm really, really, and I guess, and she was like, it's probably because the older I'm getting.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: I'm in a season of just gratefulness, like every day.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't have uh no type of worry, even though I pass by and I see the gas being like ten dollars.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Maybe that gas is ridiculous.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: I that gas.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay, uh probably not go everywhere.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Probably let's choose where we go, you know?
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, I'm just in a season of just like gratefulness for real.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: That's a blessing.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: How about you, Ann?
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: I'm actually doing a lot better today.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: I had a very good day.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Um, got me some sleep.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: That was a blessing.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Needed that.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: I just needed that.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: I needed that.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: You always need a good sleep.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Needed that sleep.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: Um, but it was good.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: It was a good day.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: Um, I think my mind has been trying to, like you said, um, be more on the positive side.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Even when things happen, like I was telling you today, I'm at the point with certain stuff, I can only do what I can do.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Hello.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: And whatever I can't do, we're gonna pray about it.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: And we're just gonna keep it moving.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Hello.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: Because we're getting older and I don't want to live a stressful life.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: And because that stress can kill you.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: And I'm trying to live for a long time.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: And I don't be wanting to have wrinkles on my face, nor because you see the material.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: You see the material.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Hello, don't no, I gotta I don't want to do that.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: We don't want this to crack.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: No, we want to keep up with this the the same.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, let don't crack.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Hello, and we need that to stay, stay in line.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I literally said myself, yeah, mm-mm.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: I'm not finished.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: I I can't.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: I don't want to.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: And especially if it's like nothing you really can change, like especially if it has something to do with the person.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: It's like I feel like you're taking too much space in my mind.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: I feel like I'm uh you're getting a lot of energy out of me, either being upset, either me wanting to cuss you out, or just trying to solve something that you feel like is the issue, but it's really not.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, it's it's it's drawing so much energy.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna, hey, you got that, you know?
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm I'm gonna pray on it, I'm gonna simmer on it, and then I gotta let it be.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: I gotta let it be.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: I gotta let it be.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: Because if you let people, and I don't care who the person is, it can be a family member, they will draw all of the energy until there's none left.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: And you have to just decide, like, I I I can't.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: I'm so sorry.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: I can only give you so much of me.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Only so much.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: And I can still love you like Christ, you know, told me to love you, but we're not fin to carry all the baggage of you.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: We're not gonna do that.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: We're gonna keep it with that.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: No, we're not carrying baggage.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: We're not carrying that baggage.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: So sorry, so sorry.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: I'm glad you're doing good today.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: And we hope you guys are doing good too, man.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: I hope you guys are feeling good.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: Um, if you're not feeling the greatest, I pray that your day turns around.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: Um the God will, you know, manifest himself right where you are, and you just feel that love and that peace.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: Even if the situation don't go away, that you have peace in the situation.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Because sometimes we pray for stuff that could just go away immediately, and sometimes we have to go through it.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: And the biggest part of it is God walk me through it, help me get through it.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I pray that that happens for you today.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: If you're going through, yeah.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: It's all good.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: I always remember that too.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: Really always remember that.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: And I think a lot of times, like, so one thing that we can unpack today is uh, so you guys, so what?
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: I haven't I've been working for what how long has it been?
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: Um I feel like it's been a while, friend.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: At least three months.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Three months.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Maybe two, three months.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: Two to three months.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: We're gonna say that.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: And um I just, it's not like like I had a job.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: It's not like I just okay, yeah, I quit it.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: So I quit.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: But she needed to, but I needed to.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: She needed to.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: I feel like it's just um, it was just, it was just not good for me.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: It was just not good.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: We're just gonna say that.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: It just was not good for me.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: And I'm really, my personality, I'm really not a quitter when it comes to a job.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: And it's like, it don't even matter if I was single family, like my mindset of how my mom, like, it was just like, you better stay with a job.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: And whatever that job takes, like, it was just that instilled in my head.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: So we've been trained on how to be loyal.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: That part.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: And when I left the job, like it was, and I really thank God for my husband because and I thank God for my best friend because it's so funny, y'all.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: I actually called, I called my husband first to just tell him, like, rah rah rah rah.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: But while I'm talking to him, I'm still texting her.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: Like, oh my god, friends.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: They're like, so I'm trying to get like two um opinions on the situation of everything or whatever, and then finally I just made my decision.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Like, okay, I'm not gonna do it, or whatever.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: And I left, and y'all, when I packed up and everything, I told God in that car that I was like, you did not bring me here to just let me be still.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: And meaning that I feel like sometimes a lot of people feel like even though you serve a mighty God, that everything should be open doors for you for everything in your life.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: And no, it doesn't work that way, it doesn't always work that way, it does not work that way.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: And so I really sat and thought about it.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: I was like, well, okay, to these two or three months, it's not like I was just like, oh la la la la la, we're just not gonna work.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: I every day I was still on the well, I wake up early anyways, but I still woke up early, I still did my same routine because I feel like you always have to get ready for what God is going to bless you with.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: If you do not get ready for it, no, I'm not gonna be last a daisical.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna just sit in bed and just look at everything in my phone.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: And no, every day I put up something on my reminder in my phone, like, hey T, you're gonna go ahead and fill out five to six applications every day.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: Keep on selling yourself, keep on going to stuff.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: So when I finally, there was no nothing in me saying, I'm not hearing back from nobody.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: The people that I'm hearing back, I really clear, you were still getting job offers and still doing interviews in the midst of all of it, too, though.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: I literally was, and I was like, no, that's not it.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like I literally had a Christian school wanting me to be a teacher.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: You guys, like, I went into the Christian school and I was like, oh, okay, like this cute.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: So, but I'm thinking in my mind, like, um by looking at the Christian school, um, funds are a little low.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: And so if I feel like funds are a little low to me, then that means you're gonna pay me a little low.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: And I don't need a little low.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Maybe low low.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't need a low low.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: I need for it to be at a at a circ certain bracket.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: So it has to make sense.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: It has to make sense, especially if I'm driving far.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: It's gotta make sense.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: It gotta make sense.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: So I just kept on working, I kept on working, I kept on stri I kept on doing the same thing, and throughout that whole time, like y'all, no lie.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: And I'm not just like I stayed positive in every single way.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: I tried not to dwell on it, cry on it every day, every morning.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: I gave it to God, like praying, going to church, not letting nothing like fall by the wayside.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: And because of my faithfulness, because of my faithfulness, Lord say, you know what?
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Let me just bless you with a job that you just you you went out for and you won.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: And I have a degree in really criminal justice.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: Tell me anything I did in criminal justice, nothing.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: But now you are, but now I am.
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: Now I am.
- 10:50SPEAKER_02: For such a time as this.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: For such a time as soon as yeah, I'm just telling you that so y'all can understand it.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: What is the what because I want to make sure I'm not saying he may not, he may not come when you want him.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: But he's always right on time.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: Always right on time.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Always right on time.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: Always right on time.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: There is no, there is nothing lacking.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Nothing lacking in my home.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: So that's how I know that he is.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: That's how you know that he is dog on there.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: Never move it out.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: Never.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: And my thing is, even when, even when you have what you need, I can even still do the things that I want.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: That's that's me how to do that.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: Hello.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: I can still go out and enjoy the things that I want.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: God is good.
- 11:51SPEAKER_02: I can still give me a little Starbucks coffee here and there.
- 11:55SPEAKER_02: Even a lavender.
- 11:58SPEAKER_02: Orange cream.
- 12:00SPEAKER_02: Yes, yes.
- 12:03SPEAKER_02: For real, for real.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: I'm very happy.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: Clapping up.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: Clap it up.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: Clap it up.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: Well, I guess we no, we're not gonna share your intimate details.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: It is a very interesting job, though, to say the least.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: It is, it is.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: It has well, okay, so it has to do with so it the job is a corrections officer.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: Now, y'all, this is very funny because um I've never done anything with corrections.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: And it's so funny.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: When I was in, when I got my degree, um, I remember my teacher saying, like, well, Tanisha, if you want to get in, because I just wanted, it was so weird.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: When I got my degree, I was thinking, I want to work at the sheriff's office, right?
- 12:48SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: And where I wanted to work was I wanted to work in homicide.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: Yes, I know.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: I want to work in homicide.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: And I want to be that person.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: Now, I don't want to be the investigator.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: I want to work along with the investigator because I feel like the investigator has to do a lot of work.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: I want to do some of the light work for the investigator.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: Like, okay, get the notes, talk to the people, who was there on the scene, then look at the body, figure out, okay, oh, got one, two, three, four, five, seven.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: Like, I I want to take notes and then we like we compare like what you got, which I got, what you think is going.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: Like, I wanted to work in homicide.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: I still want that's still a thing of mine.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: I still want it's still my goal, but that is one of the things.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: So when somebody is a crime girly.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: I I I have never been in line or in a friendship in a family ship with someone who loves crime as much as she does.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: I do, y'all.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: So when she's giving these facts, it's just like, oh my gosh, yes.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: She will watch crime from morning.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: Shout out the first 48.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: Marty to die, to the point where it almost feels like she should even have a crime cast where she just talks about criminal cases.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: I even watched them like on TikTok, you know, like those mystery um things.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: Like the girl be like, so back in 1909, there was this man.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: Literally at night, because I don't want to keep my headset up, so I put my phone underneath the covers so the light goes.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's me.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: That's me.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: I love everything about it.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: I think it's so what is it though?
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: Is it like it's the mystery?
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: Is it interesting?
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, okay, I don't want y'all thinking I'm crazy.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: Like, I would like to.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: Because I feel like I need to know what's going on.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, y'all.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: I just think it's so like interesting to me of unraveling like a mystery.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: Like dead bodies don't bother you.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: No, dead bodies don't bother me.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: But the crazy part about it, but I won't I won't work in a funeral home though.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: Like, I ain't finna like do you up and embalm you.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: I can see you like stab wounds, gunshot.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: Okay, I can deal with that.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: But yeah, stuff you, embalm you, nah.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: That's taking it way too far for me.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: But I love to know, like, dang, homie shot you five times in the back.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: Like, what's up?
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: What happened?
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: Was it a drug deal?
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Was he trying to rock?
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Like, I I just want to know.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: I think you would like this show that Cam got me on.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: I wish they would come out with an out with another season.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: You ever um seen Murders in the Building?
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: Is it Murders in the Building?
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: Murder in the Building?
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: No, what is on?
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Um, Oh my gosh, y'all.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Cause, you know, I watch it through Fire Stick.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: But I'll look it up for you.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: It's a couple of at first.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: I was like, mm, but it's really, really good.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: I can't remember his name.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: Um, you ever seen the movie Father of the Bride?
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: The white man Steve.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: I think it's a big one.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, Steve Martin.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: Yes, Steve Martin is in that movie.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: He's in that show.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you gotta tell me that.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: It's pretty good.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: If y'all haven't seen it, look it up.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: I think it's called Murders in the Building.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: I believe it's a good one.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: And they literally started a podcast that centered around crime.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: And then when they did that, a lot of people just started getting killed in their in their apartment building.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: Talking about the crime?
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: They would talk about the crimes that happen in their um their building.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: So they would have people come after them because they're talking about what's going on in the building.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: It's really good.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: It's really good.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: Like, I really want to watch that.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: That's cool.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: It's a good show.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: It's like a comedy.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: You know, like a dry comedy type.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because I'm like with Steve Martin, it it can't be that serious with Steve Martin.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: It's good.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry to cut you off.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: I was like, I think you like that show.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I uh but I don't even know where I was.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: But um you were saying that, you know, that's just what you're interested in.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: If you see somebody have stab wounds, gunshots, it doesn't bother you, but you're interested in like why did that happen to you?
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: I am.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Even if it comes to just not first forty date, like any type of movies.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not really like uh like a I don't say like a chick flick, because some men do like, you know, watching stuff like that, but you don't.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: I usually sometimes fall asleep or I'll come back, like I'll really, really want to watch it.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: Like I was over here at high school.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: Come on, go ahead, because I was gonna bring it up.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: What's showing up?
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: I really I because I love fashion though, but the thing is, I was trying to watch Devil's Wear Prada 2.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: Like, was it three times?
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Three times.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, three times.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: And each time.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the the storyline was taking forever just to get.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: I later she go sleep once again.
- 18:33SPEAKER_02: Every time she came over, Brett, why do we watch them?
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: You're not going to watch it.
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: If somebody's not getting their head chopped off or shot in the back, you're not going to watch it.
- 18:47SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: It's funny.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: I'm literally falling asleep.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: But I do love, I, but I do love love um movies.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: I really do.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: It just has to be very like, it has to be black love.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: Like love a good black movie.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: I love me a good.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: Not a lot of tubies, though.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: I know y'all are gonna I'm not a big tubi fan.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: I I know like some people be like big on tubi.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: I'm not really big on Tubi.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: But but you like a lot of crime action, Luther Um with Eldris Elba.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: Have you ever seen Luther before?
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: I don't think so.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: Very good.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: I love Luther.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: Any type of mysteries.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: I love BBC.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Um, British, I don't know what it stands for.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: British broadcast communication.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: I guess that's what it can.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: I love anything from the UK.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: It is very weird.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: I I checked out four.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: Um, I went and bought a DVD player just so I can watch these four British DVDs from the live area.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: Are they crime?
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: No, they're just um, I think they're comedy.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: I think they're comedy, but I love watching the United Kingdom shows.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: That's very interesting.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: See, my thing is I don't watch a whole lot of I like, okay.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: I like some black movies.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: Not all.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: Sometimes.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: What is one black movie you don't like?
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Um Lord.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: Can I say the ones I like?
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: I mean, no, everyone starts what we do like.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: Everybody starts with what they like.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: Do what you don't like.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: Okay, so black films that I despise.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, people are gonna be like, what?
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: I hate with a passion.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: The color purple.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: Purple.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: Color purple.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: So you don't like the new one or the old one?
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: I don't like movies that got that type of feel to it.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: Only because um a lot of times with me, and I maybe because I'm just a natural empath, a lot of times with those movies, it makes me angry.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: Um like black, white type of situations, slave type of situations, it makes me angry on the inside.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: Or I'm very, very sad afterwards.
- 21:28SPEAKER_02: I can't take it.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: I hate color purple.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: I hate that movie.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: Well, the second one wasn't not so much, it was like a lot of musical.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I think because I despised the original one, I didn't have an interest in the next one.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Okay, I got you.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: So I think I like black film, it just depends on what it is.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: Did you like Harry It?
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: No.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: And that's the weird thing about me too.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: I I like um Slavery really.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: But a lot of people do.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: I'm just a portion of the people, probably a low percentage.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: It's probably people listening like, you don't like that.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: Some stuff I just cannot stand.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, so what you like?
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: Um, I like more the lighter movies.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: If it's a black film, like um brown sugar.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: Love brown sugar.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: I love I love romance.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: I love romance.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: Chick flicks.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: Um, what's the one with Queen Latifah?
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: And Car Condon?
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Just right.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Just right.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: I love movies like um Barbershop.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Like, I like movies like that.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: Light stuff.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: Um, I guess the more hoodie type of movies.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: I like to like Friday.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: Um, don't be a menace to society while drinking your juice in the hood.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: And it's so bad.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: Like I like.
- 22:57unknown: You have it?
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: Mm-mm.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: I like movies like that.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: When it gets too deep and it's more of because I have this concept in my head.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: Some black movies I just won't watch because I feel like our movies are only popular when it's about black struggle.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: And I feel like there's more to us than just being in the hood.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: Like there's more to us just getting killed.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: There's more to us just being gang related.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: Like there's more to black people.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: So I tend to like I tend to be drawn to movies that are more light, fun, romance.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't I that's why a lot of Tyler Perry movies I don't really care for.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: Now, back in the day, we used to love his plays.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: Love his plays.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: But sometimes I don't want to see it's always a black woman that's getting slapped in the face.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: You're right.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: And no T no shade to my Caucasian listeners that may be listening, but a lot of times there are movies that are very popular and gross a lot of income.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: White people are just striving.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: Why can't we have movies about black people that we're just striving?
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: You're right.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: Like we always gotta be in a situation, like abused, hit, or fight, hurt, fighting.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: So that's just a but that's the just me thing.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: That's why I don't like a lot of certain films.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: I get it.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: I get it.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: I I like I love movies, period.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: Like if you throw a movie out there, I'm gonna be like, oh my god, like I'll get excited.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: I love watching movies.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: It is weird.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: Uh I can actually so my mom, my mom, she used to think I was like, well, my whole family that l in house, like they used to think I was so weird because I could literally watch TV all day.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: I can literally, like my husband, I can literally sit there and watch TV all day.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: Like, and I will tell you about everything I watch.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: Now, if you ask me to pick up a book and read a book, I am going to That's the part that's hard.
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: I avoid this link.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: I will read like two pages and be like it's just something about visuals that I just it has my attention.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: I think now even I watch a lot of movies.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: I don't even watch a lot of movies and shows.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: My main thing right now is like I have Hey Zara.
- 25:49SPEAKER_03: So my thing, my friend and mom asks if we if we can blow this up.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: Your friend mom asks if you can blow that up.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: They probably don't have a pump.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: You gotta have a pump to do it.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: She doesn't have a pump.
- 26:03SPEAKER_03: What a but there's another adult if we can if we can use the thing to pump it up.
- 26:11SPEAKER_03: To blow it up.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: But why can't you ask Pop B?
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: Go ask Pop B for to help you with it.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: But that's what I'm saying, he can help you, so why don't you ask him?
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: And it's okay, that's just what happens.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: If you heard a voice in the background, that was my nephew asking for a pump because he has a like a soccer goal, inflatable sargo.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, anyways, my I never get that.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: There's always two adults in the no, that's what's gonna happen.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: That's what's going to happen.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: T that all you should know by now.
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: That's that's what they do.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Look, yes, yes, amusement.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: He's in the basement.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: That's always gonna happen.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: He's gonna search for me like detector Gadget.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: I can be in the closet hiding.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: Mom! Mom.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: Girl, the kids can be with their dad.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: I'll be gone.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: They'll call me via FaceTime and ask me for stuff, and their father is in the same room.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: And I hear him in the mad background getting mad.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: I'm right here, man.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: Why are you doing this?
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: That's what kids do.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: They always go to mom.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: It's crazy, man.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: Anyways, I think I'm in a place now I'm trying to get back into watching TV again.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: I have certain shows I like to watch.
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: Like me and Ken, we have our shows we watch together.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: But I love more of reality type of stuff.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: Like I love reality game shows.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: Like traitor type.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: You ever seen Traitors?
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: You never seen Traitors?
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: Traitors is really good.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: Um I love they only did one season of it.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: Deal or no No Deal.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: Deal or No Deal Island.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Um, I love like Big Brother.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: Um, what's another show I like?
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: I like all the game shows.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 28:27SPEAKER_00: And I just started a game show today.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: It's um they did a play on Willy Wonka.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: Willy Wonka is one of my favorite movies.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, on Netflix.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:35SPEAKER_01: I started it and I was like, this looks lame.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 28:42SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: When the when the um, I think because it's so scripted to me, I get very agitated.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Because they're like some parts, it gets put the government side.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: He's talking about, ooh, this is really good.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: Like, dude, it's a bug of it's the most.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: I think they're making them do it because it's supposed to be a play on Willy Wonka and like the whimsy of it all.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: I loved it, girl.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: I love your good game show.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: It's cute.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: And um Squid Games, they did, you ever seen Squid Games?
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: Mm-mm.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: Squid Games was on Netflix, but it was like a uh East Asian.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: I don't want to say Asian.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: I'm hoping I'm saying the right way.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: I think it's the Asian, whatever community.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, whatever that community is.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: They had a show, but they did a game show based off of it.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: It's really good.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: It's really good.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: And Mr.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: Beast Games.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: No.
- 29:35unknown: I love it all.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: I ain't watched it.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, baby, I love your good game show.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: And right now, Traders' new season is on.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: So we just finished episode four last night.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: It was really good.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, y'all.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: Nothing she's talking about.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: So I love it.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: It sounds exciting though.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: I at least, so we can be out.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: I at least like watch a little bit of the Willie Wonker game.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: You might actually like traitors instead.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: Because traders is like the game, how well I guess kind of like how imposter is.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: Traitors basically you have what do you do, like two to three traitors, and they they are basically choosing somebody to get eliminated, but it's death.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: Somebody gets killed that night, and you have faithful, you have traitors, and the faithful are trying to figure out who the traitors are.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: And if they don't figure out who it is, a person gets killed every night.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: What was that one show?
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: Now I did watch this one show a lot.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: What was that one show where people had to do oh, X Factor?
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: Okay, I can do that.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: I like a good X Factor.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: Like where they had to do like crazy things.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: I used to like X Factor.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: I think that's only like, yeah, you know, her be like, oh, and I love like the reality shows like Love is Blind, Married at First Sight.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: Oh my God.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: I do love Mary at first sight.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: I love a good Married at First Sight.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: 90-day uh fiance.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: I love a good 90-day.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: I can do it.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: So my thing is I'm more of the reality type of stuff.
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: Y'all, one time I was looking up that if I wanted me, I was looking up, I wanted to get on um Married at first sight?
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, married at first sight.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: Well, I really like Benny.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: Never mind.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: That would have been so cool.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: I just wanted because I feel like they did a lot of their homework.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: They did, but do you think you could do that?
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: I mean, we are married people, but I don't know if I could have done it.
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: I could have did it.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: But I'm so goofy that if the person walked out and looked at my first of all, my mom's not coming.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: Like, you know how like parents would have been like, oh like, why?
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: Why would you want to do that?
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: My mom would be like, no, I'm not coming to that foolishness.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: Like, she wouldn't come.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't have her blessing.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: So it would just be me just doing my own thing.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: Do you think it would have bothered you?
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: Like, okay, let's just say hypothetically, we were on a show.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: And you know how like that person, which always made me wonder when I'm talking to the experts, they're literally asked telling the experts exactly what they want.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: Now, some of them they try to be like, looks don't matter.
- 32:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 32:25SPEAKER_00: And then some of them do say what they want to see.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: But I feel like they get the polar opposite.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: When it happens.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: Like, how would you but I think they need the polar opposite.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: Because my husband's the polar opposite of me.
- 32:39SPEAKER_00: You know, I told him, and I'm I'm gonna be very honest about this.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: Girl, do what you're gonna be honest too.
- 32:45SPEAKER_00: I told him when we were um when we were on our first date, I was like, I don't know.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: Like when I looked on your Instagram, you're you're giving square.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: And and you're just really not my style.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: Like, he really wasn't.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: Square is crazy.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Like, I was like, you're giving square.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: And I like hood niggas.
- 33:07SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, I didn't like I like You did the whole opposite, okay?
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: I thought I needed, you know, just a hood that just, you know, pop, go to the corner store, get him a white tea, black tea, got some, you know, fresh J Song, jeans.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, that's it, that's all that is just that is my flow, you know?
- 33:34SPEAKER_00: And it was just he was the total opposite.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: So I was just like, this nigga think he finna win me over.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: Absolutely not.
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: Psych.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: Psycho Harry.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: Absolutely did.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he absolutely did.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: Sha, I had a list.
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: Even when me and Cam was friends, he'll tell you my list was I wanted somebody to be six foot up.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: Dang.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: Cause I dated more of the more athletic build.
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: Um, if they was in some line of sports.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: If they weren't playing then, they used to play when they was in high school.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: Like those were the type of guys that I dated.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: Um, so when he came along for me, I was like, that's just my dog.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: We friends.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: No, that's just my dog.
- 34:21SPEAKER_00: That's my home.
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: You feel me?
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: You better go on a date.
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: Tell me how that date goes.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: You feel me?
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: Like.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Um, so when I did marry him, I was like, oh, you are not anything, not nothing negative, y'all.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: But he just wasn't what I thought I would end up being with.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: So it's totally opposite.
- 34:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's what I said.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: I think that that is a good idea.
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: That married at first sight is really good because they hear them.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: But it's like, I don't, I think you can work with somebody else.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: But my thing is, as long as the person ain't catfishing, yeah.
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: Because you know, niggas like to catfish.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: So I don't want you to be up in there talking about, oh, I got this going on.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: Um, I like to read.
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: Um, I love philosophy.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: And then you got this woman, that's her, that's her theme that she she loves insightful and intelligent conversations.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: And then when they get together, he had like a dweeb.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Like, what is happening?
- 35:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, for real.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: That's all.
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: Or you just have like flashbacks, and like when I'm trying to give you a hug, you're like, wow, you're coming too close.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what?
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: I thought they said that we need to be.
- 35:33SPEAKER_00: Which is really weird to me.
- 35:35SPEAKER_00: Because if you sign up for married at first sight, at this point, boo, y'all married.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: Listen, there were people on there, like, you think you're gonna sit in the bed with me?
- 35:46unknown: No.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: They got two bedrooms.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: You either go to the bedroom or on a couch, or order for the pillows.
- 35:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm gonna be able to do it.
- 35:53SPEAKER_02: Are y'all serious?
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: Literally.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: Y'all literally got married.
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: So what are we doing?
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: Literally, like I can tell you, I can see like you're taking your time down.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: There was some that was just off the chain.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: They was like, oh, we married.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: Let's do it.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: What a oh my god.
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: The one that they're still married now.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: Woody.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: I love them.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: And Armani.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: It's Armani.
- 36:20SPEAKER_00: Amani, my bad.
- 36:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:21SPEAKER_00: They're together.
- 36:23SPEAKER_00: Uh, Pastor Cal was finna get in a tail because she he was like, oh, y'all are y'all are having sex unprotected.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: There's no protection.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: Y'all is crazy.
- 36:37SPEAKER_00: We gotta at least baby sal.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: Having a baby, getting getting oh, or the one.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: Did you see the season um of the one where I guess whomever he was saying had got pregnant, he was dating somebody outside of the show?
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: No.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: And had to tell her that his ex was pregnant?
- 36:59SPEAKER_01: No.
- 37:00SPEAKER_01: You didn't see that one?
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: Uh-uh.
- 37:02SPEAKER_01: Girl.
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: That one was.
- 37:04SPEAKER_01: Which one?
- 37:05SPEAKER_01: Where was you remember the state they were in?
- 37:08SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: Was it Atlanta?
- 37:13unknown: Was it Atlanta?
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: It may have not been Atlanta.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: Was it Chicago?
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: I can't remember.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: His name was Chris.
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: His name was Chris.
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: Was it Chris?
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: A black dude.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: And he came on a show.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: He wasn't really attracted to the person that they set him up with.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: He was only attracted to her shape.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: His dad was very crazy.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: Anyways, they were doing the do since they got married.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: He claims it was just his way of trying to, I guess, see if he would, he can build attraction to her through them being intimate with each other.
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: But he was still standoffish, not really want to talk to her.
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: And then, girl, they didn't even make it off the island of their honeymoon.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: They was at their honeymoon and he came to her and basically had to have a conversation with her, let her know that his ex was pregnant with his baby.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: So clearly if she's pregnant and she's only a few months pregnant, that means you was just with her prior to being on the show.
- 38:17SPEAKER_01: Literally.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: See, those are the issues where it's like, yeah, these are the catfishes.
- 38:21SPEAKER_00: This is a problem.
- 38:22SPEAKER_00: And these women who are really trying to put their eggs in this basket to get something that they feel could possibly last, they gotta deal with the bull crack.
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: That's the part I don't like.
- 38:33SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't like that neither, because I'd have been like, so and it's not like they can take him off and then replace one.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: They can't because they did so much homework on YouTube.
- 38:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: And that's the sad part.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: Like, because I did see on one where this girl was like, that's not fair.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: Like I was all into this, and he just do what he wanna do.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: And I was like, dang, doing what he wanna do.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's what's interesting.
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: But it's also, I mean, it's just like arranged marriage marriages.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: And there's a lot of this.
- 39:07SPEAKER_00: A whole lot of them.
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: And they be staying together for years.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: Especially if it's culture related, they don't believe in divorce.
- 39:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:16SPEAKER_00: It's we're here.
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: It's like, even if I hate you, I still nigga, we are here.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: You better go in there and sleep it off and come back.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, for real.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I am so glad I'm not in that culture.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: Because I'd be like, oh my God, no.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: I couldn't imagine, man.
- 39:34SPEAKER_00: If your parents pick out and they have already arranged, probably when you was in your diapers, of who you're gonna marry, of what family you're gonna be in.
- 39:43SPEAKER_00: Oh, just because they got 50 million goats, and no, no, absolutely not.
- 39:50SPEAKER_01: I don't want to be with them.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: I don't crazy.
- 39:58SPEAKER_00: I know I have a lot to say though.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: If if if Zion, if just Zion, I'm just only just thinking about a girlfriend, but if Zion just brings home a person that I'm just like that you don't like, how would you deal with that?
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: I don't know what I would do.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: It's written all over my face.
- 40:18SPEAKER_00: You ain't gotta say a word.
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: Listen, literally.
- 40:24SPEAKER_00: She would probably be so sweet, and I'll probably be like, Is that coming to know?
- 40:28SPEAKER_00: Hey mom, I wanted you to meet my girlfriend.
- 40:32SPEAKER_00: Hello.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: How you doing?
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: It's not even how you doing.
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: Hello.
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I'm ready for that stage of life for them to have boyfriends and girlfriends.
- 40:43SPEAKER_00: I can't.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: Especially having the and it's just like my extra.
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: Cam Camp having a boyfriend.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: Oh god, no.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: You mean he gonna be out of?
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: I told him to come in.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: Like, it's it's fine.
- 41:02SPEAKER_00: I told him we'll introduce, like, can we be like Lord?
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: Mm-mm.
- 41:09SPEAKER_00: There's this little boy that's on um Brendan's football team that has a crush on Kim Kim.
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: And it irks my nerves every time I see him.
- 41:20SPEAKER_00: Not irking.
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, red time.
- 41:23SPEAKER_00: I see him.
- 41:24SPEAKER_00: It bothers my nerves.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: I can't.
- 41:27SPEAKER_00: I can't.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: And he's bad.
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: So it makes it worse.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: It'll be cool if he was like a little good boy.
- 41:33SPEAKER_00: He's bad.
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: He don't listen to his coach.
- 41:36SPEAKER_00: He always gotta do bear crawls because he ain't listening.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: He always gotta do laps around the field because he ain't listening.
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: And you like my child.
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: Oh boy.
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna say his name, but Cameron always comes around.
- 41:49SPEAKER_00: She was like, hey, such and such.
- 41:51SPEAKER_00: And he was like, hey Kim.
- 41:53SPEAKER_00: Hey Kim.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: Just like that too.
- 41:59SPEAKER_00: She does.
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: I had to say the name off camera.
- 42:02SPEAKER_02: She was like, hey, sis.
- 42:03SPEAKER_02: I was like, yeah.
- 42:06SPEAKER_02: Come on.
- 42:07SPEAKER_02: Come come over here and say.
- 42:13SPEAKER_00: And he does not talk to me at all.
- 42:15SPEAKER_00: For real.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: He don't.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: He talked to Brendan.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: He talked to Kim Kim.
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: And he talked to um Kim.
- 42:24SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: He be like, hey, Brendan's dad.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: Not even his name.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: Hey, Brendan's dad.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: And I just be walking.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: And I was like, hey, how you doing?
- 42:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm good.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: And then he ran off.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: I've been like, you can say hello to me.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: You can, because first of all, I'm the mama.
- 42:43SPEAKER_00: Hello.
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: And if I say it's a no, it's a no.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: So you might want to get on my good side.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: What'd she think?
- 42:50SPEAKER_00: You know what you thought this was.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: Period.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: Mm-mm.
- 42:53SPEAKER_00: She was like, such as such gave me a lollipop.
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: Ho such and such.
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: I guess sure.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: I guess.
- 43:04SPEAKER_01: It was real cute.
- 43:06SPEAKER_01: Uh thank you for the lollipop.
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: It'd be no, it's not good.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: It's a horrible idea.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: Oh man.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: I think that's why God didn't bless me with like a little girl.
- 43:22SPEAKER_00: Because, because just knowing me, it would just, it would be a time.
- 43:29SPEAKER_00: A time would be have every single day in the house.
- 43:34SPEAKER_00: Cause yeah.
- 43:36SPEAKER_00: If I say like, I can say to Zion, like, even though he's very sometimes sensitive too, but like, like, what what we doing?
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: I feel like she'd be like, what are we doing?
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: And that's the energy they give.
- 43:50SPEAKER_00: That's the energy.
- 43:52SPEAKER_00: What are we doing?
- 43:54SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we can't retalk.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: I just be like, God.
- 43:57SPEAKER_00: I can't even get mad because that's hot.
- 43:59SPEAKER_00: It's like it's Like talking to a little me.
- 44:02unknown: Yeah.
- 44:03SPEAKER_00: I can't even remember some of all the stuff she said.
- 44:05SPEAKER_00: She just she's very slick at the mouth.
- 44:07SPEAKER_00: She's like she has a lot of comeback.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: She has a huge personality.
- 44:14SPEAKER_00: I be having to run after her sometimes.
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: Like, who would you talk to?
- 44:19SPEAKER_00: And she be looking at me just like this, y'all.
- 44:22SPEAKER_00: You.
- 44:24SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm like, girl, I would snatch you.
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: Uh-uh, when the girls was in the car, and they were talking about how the little kids always are in their cell phones trying to read their text messages and stuff like that.
- 44:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 44:38SPEAKER_00: The little one in the back.
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: And so let me see it again.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: Y'all, she's seven.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: She has a huge personality.
- 44:51SPEAKER_00: It's crazy.
- 44:52SPEAKER_00: A huge one.
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: She does not care.
- 44:54SPEAKER_00: Does not.
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: She does not care.
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: That's my baby, though.
- 44:58SPEAKER_00: I have such a soft spot for her.
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: Rennie says that all the time.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: I have such a soft spot for her.
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: I have a soft spot for her.
- 45:06SPEAKER_00: That's my boo.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: That's my blue thing.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: How did we get here?
- 45:10SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: Hmm.
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 45:12SPEAKER_00: It just kept on like we pick, we like take one thing out and then we then we move today.
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about that little thing.
- 45:20SPEAKER_02: Blood today for it, blood today for her.
- 45:22SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 45:24SPEAKER_00: Oh man.
- 45:25SPEAKER_00: Oh man.
- 45:25SPEAKER_00: But we were unpacking today.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: I mean, you got anything else you want to unpack?
- 45:36SPEAKER_00: My unpack, and then we could just end after this one.
- 45:39SPEAKER_00: Is the thing that pissed me off this week is realizing how messed up our system is.
- 45:51SPEAKER_00: Especially when it comes down to this freaking health insurance.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: It is absolutely bonkers.
- 45:59SPEAKER_00: It is absolutely annoying.
- 46:01SPEAKER_00: It is absolutely overwhelming.
- 46:03SPEAKER_00: And I was pissed off because it's like, dang, we had to get this type of insurance just so it's something that we can afford, but it's still a lot of money.
- 46:15SPEAKER_00: And even though we're paying all this money out, you still have to like hop through hoops and do all the extra stuff in order to get stuff done, and you still can't get it done.
- 46:28SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: It's absolutely crazy.
- 46:31SPEAKER_00: I was telling T that with my daughter, we need to get blood work done for her.
- 46:37SPEAKER_00: Um, she had to get a new pediatrician because we have new health insurance.
- 46:41SPEAKER_00: This pediatrician is more like a family doctor type of setup.
- 46:45SPEAKER_00: They have um doctors in there that they're also, I guess, qualified to do pediatric work as well.
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: But they may spend most of their time with adult patients, but they take uh young young children, and we need to get labs done.
- 47:03SPEAKER_00: Well, Emery doesn't provide any lab work for children under the age of 12.
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: So they automatically say you have to go through um CHOA, which is children's health care, children's health care of Atlanta.
- 47:22SPEAKER_00: Um, so even with them, my insurance won't cover any of the things with CHOA.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: So I was out yesterday in Kennesaw for almost four hours.
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: Going back and forth to different doctors, different offices, in the car, on the phone, calling around with all the things because my insurance just won't take it because they're not under their, they're not under uh choice crazy.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: That's why I told her.
- 48:02SPEAKER_00: I feel like we just need to be like everything needs to be free.
- 48:06SPEAKER_00: They got it.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: They got it.
- 48:08SPEAKER_00: Like they literally, there's people that like even when it comes to you, but even just like when I used to work for um in Orlando, it's it's this call center.
- 48:19SPEAKER_00: Um, they were called Optimum.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: And we will work with all of the healthcare systems, and you know, if you reach a certain threshold, your medicine, like so hearing being on the phone with 50, 60, 70, 80 year olds, and they're crying on the phone because they have to get such a far-off generic medicine, correct?
- 48:47SPEAKER_00: And even with that far-off generic medicine, it's still$70 for like uh 12 tablets.
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and that's crazy, man.
- 49:01SPEAKER_00: It's wild.
- 49:03SPEAKER_00: Even with Brendan and his um his pumps under our insurance.
- 49:07SPEAKER_00: Now we're at a place, y'all.
- 49:08SPEAKER_00: I said I'm not paying.
- 49:10SPEAKER_00: Y'all can might as well just cancel that insurance because I'm not paying nothing else.
- 49:13SPEAKER_00: I'm not paying close to$900.
- 49:18SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 49:19SPEAKER_00: Matter of fact, we're at nine, probably a little bit over$900 for insurance that's not doing anything for me.
- 49:26SPEAKER_00: Cancel that.
- 49:26SPEAKER_00: I'm not paying for it.
- 49:27SPEAKER_00: We're gonna, we're gonna wait it out.
- 49:29SPEAKER_00: Um, but even with Brendan, we're finding out that he's dealing with asthma, like Hazai does, and that pump, girl, when we went to CVS to pick up the pumps, and that lady looked at me and she was like, It's$200 and something dollars.
- 49:45SPEAKER_00: I can't remember the exact amount.
- 49:47SPEAKER_00: And I was just like, well, he needs it.
- 49:54SPEAKER_00: He needs it.
- 49:56SPEAKER_00: I need that medicine.
- 49:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just that's the part that's frustrating, and that's the part for me was like, child, I can only do what I can.
- 50:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 50:04SPEAKER_00: You know, Kim's has been blessed with this position.
- 50:08SPEAKER_00: He was gonna get this government insurance, praise the Lord.
- 50:11SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 50:13SPEAKER_00: Everybody getting jobs.
- 50:14SPEAKER_00: Oh, yay! You gotta get everybody getting jobs.
- 50:18SPEAKER_00: We're gonna pray that the insurance does better so we can get stuff in line, but you can only do what you can.
- 50:23SPEAKER_00: That was my thing to unpack.
- 50:25SPEAKER_00: I was just like, this is just stupid to pay all this money out and nothing is covering.
- 50:32SPEAKER_00: And the lady was on the phone with me.
- 50:34SPEAKER_00: I had got so frustrated.
- 50:36SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna lie.
- 50:36SPEAKER_00: I got so frustrated because I was doing this for over a month now of trying to get her labs and stuff done, just so we could see everything's going okay with her body.
- 50:46SPEAKER_00: And that lady was on the phone with me.
- 50:49SPEAKER_00: And I was trying to be nice to her because my thing is I told Cam, it's not their fault.
- 50:54SPEAKER_00: It's not the representative's fault, it's the system's fault.
- 50:57SPEAKER_00: Correct.
- 50:57SPEAKER_00: They just doing their job.
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: So I'm not gonna yell at you.
- 50:59SPEAKER_00: Ain't nothing you didn't go on the system and say deny.
- 51:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they did it.
- 51:04SPEAKER_00: Um, but I was on there and I told her, I said, you know, if if my tone changes, please don't take it personally because I'm not directing it towards you.
- 51:13SPEAKER_00: I've just been doing this for over a month now, so I'm a little bit fatigued and I'm very disappointed.
- 51:19SPEAKER_00: And she was just talking to me and I just bust out in tears.
- 51:22SPEAKER_00: I wasn't trying to crown it, lady foam.
- 51:26SPEAKER_00: But I bust out in tears because I was like, why do we have to go through so many hoops just to get health care?
- 51:33SPEAKER_00: That is crazy.
- 51:35SPEAKER_00: And we're paying$900, and we still can't get health care.
- 51:41SPEAKER_00: And my baby, for me, if I can't get the health care, whatever.
- 51:46SPEAKER_00: But not my babies.
- 51:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 51:48SPEAKER_00: Like, my babies need to be taken care of.
- 51:50SPEAKER_00: Um, but she was very, very sweet.
- 51:52SPEAKER_00: She was on the phone, she was like, I sent some places to you, but if you don't mind, I want to help you.
- 51:57SPEAKER_00: I'll call around while we're on the phone just to check in to see if they take it.
- 52:02SPEAKER_00: Cha.
- 52:03SPEAKER_00: By the time we got to number five, I was tired.
- 52:05SPEAKER_00: And I was like, it's okay.
- 52:08SPEAKER_00: We're just gonna I'll revisit.
- 52:11SPEAKER_00: That's nice.
- 52:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 52:12SPEAKER_00: That's very sweet of her.
- 52:14SPEAKER_00: It was very sweet of her because she didn't have to do that at all.
- 52:16SPEAKER_00: That's very sweet.
- 52:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't have a lot of patience, and so um I would have been like, yeah.
- 52:27SPEAKER_00: I gotta call you vet.
- 52:29SPEAKER_00: Because I might say some choice of words to you.
- 52:31SPEAKER_00: And um, the more we do this podcast, y'all are going to know.
- 52:36SPEAKER_00: I even though I work customer service, I hate, I don't know why, I hate talking to customer service representatives.
- 52:47SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 52:48SPEAKER_00: I would speak to an automated system.
- 52:50SPEAKER_00: I would I actually like to do everything online.
- 52:53SPEAKER_00: Even when I set up an appointment, I'm I want to be real quick.
- 52:59SPEAKER_00: Or actually, if we can do the appointment online, I will look up your business and I will try to set up all of Zion's appointments online.
- 53:08SPEAKER_00: Okay, so why don't you like it?
- 53:09SPEAKER_00: What bothers you about customer service or working on it?
- 53:12SPEAKER_00: Hey lady, I know you guys.
- 53:13SPEAKER_00: I know you have to wait.
- 53:14SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 53:15SPEAKER_00: I'm working on my patience.
- 53:16SPEAKER_00: My husband says I really need to work on that.
- 53:19SPEAKER_00: I just feel like you ain't that damn busy.
- 53:21SPEAKER_00: I just feel like I just feel like, why do you have me on hold for so long?
- 53:28SPEAKER_00: And then once you get on the phone and you'd be like, oh hi, this is um Atlanta, and you're like telling me, and then I'm now telling you information I already submitted in your system.
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, when they have to do like the verifications and everything.
- 53:42SPEAKER_00: My love.
- 53:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I did this already online, and so so I try to not get too excited, yeah, because I understand being that other person on the other line.
- 53:55SPEAKER_00: And so what I just tried to make sure I do is I fill out absolute if they send, if they tell me they sent me something through my phone, like I'm filling it out.
- 54:07SPEAKER_00: Like any little, like I'll I'm always telling them, just send it to me in an email.
- 54:13SPEAKER_00: Just send it to me.
- 54:14SPEAKER_00: Like, because I don't like being on the phone with you.
- 54:16SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 54:17SPEAKER_00: My issue is I can't stand the automat the automatic service.
- 54:21SPEAKER_00: I hate it.
- 54:22SPEAKER_00: Hate it.
- 54:23SPEAKER_00: I hate it.
- 54:25SPEAKER_00: I hate it.
- 54:26SPEAKER_00: Now that part I will scream.
