- 0:01I've covered dozens of hauntings and paranormal happenings on
- 0:05this channel, some famous, some infamous, and others less known.
- 0:13But what I think is important as well is to help use my platform
- 0:18to share other people's stories of their experiences with the
- 0:23supernatural, to show that these experiences are indeed real and
- 0:29that they do truly happen. These are subscriber submitted
- 0:33stories and all I ask is that you keep an open mind.
- 0:38These are your paranormal encounters.
- 0:45When I was in junior high, me and my best friend at the time
- 0:48played with a new Ouija board that she had got for Christmas.
- 0:52We messed around for a while but nothing happened so we got bored
- 0:58and put it away. A few weeks later I was at her
- 1:02house again and was playing around with the record feature
- 1:06and my flip phone. My friend left to use the
- 1:09bathroom and I kept messing around with the phone.
- 1:13It was just me and her cat alone in the basement.
- 1:17I made a recording of me and the cat meowing at each other.
- 1:21Innocent kid stuff. But when I played it back, there
- 1:26was this really deep animalistic grunting sound and the recording
- 1:32that was definitely not there when I was initially making it.
- 1:36It also was way too deep sounding to possibly be from a
- 1:4014 year old girl or a little cat.
- 1:44It was a few years later before anything else happened.
- 1:48Next, I was around 16 to 17 years old and we moved in with
- 1:52my mom's boyfriend. My room always felt dark and
- 1:56uncomfortable, like I was always being watched, even when I was
- 2:00alone. After a while, weird things
- 2:04started to happen. Things would go missing, then
- 2:07later reappear in the middle of my desk or someplace obvious.
- 2:13I would hear tapping and scratching on the walls in my
- 2:16room when everyone was asleep. I'd get horrible nightmares, not
- 2:22like anything I'd ever experienced before.
- 2:26One time I got a scratch across my leg while I was sitting in my
- 2:30bed. I looked around but could not
- 2:33find anything sharp that could have done it.
- 2:36Last was the bed shaking every night along the wall,
- 2:41scratching, creepy feeling and nightmares.
- 2:46My bed would shake, not hard but just enough to make me notice no
- 2:52heavy traffic or trains nearby and there was no construction
- 2:56going on. It happened in my room only.
- 3:01I would sleep with my mom or my sister after a while because I
- 3:04couldn't handle it anymore. One time my mom got curious and
- 3:09slept in my bed to see what the big deal was and it shook her
- 3:13too. A few years later, we all moved
- 3:16out. I moved in with my future
- 3:19husband and we rented the basement at his childhood home
- 3:22for a couple years. While there, three weird things
- 3:25happened and it was the first time I ever saw anything.
- 3:30The first was this big black dog that just appeared in our living
- 3:34room. I blinked and it vanished.
- 3:38The second was in the kitchen. I was cooking dinner when I
- 3:42glanced to the side and saw a tall man with curly hair and a
- 3:47ball cab. When I told my husband the
- 3:50description, I remembered more of the description back in the
- 3:53day. It's been 10 years since this
- 3:55happened. He told me I just described his
- 3:59older brother. Sadly, his older brother lost
- 4:03his fight with depression long before I ever met my husband and
- 4:08he actually passed away in the same basement we were living in.
- 4:12The last thing that happened I think was either his brother
- 4:15again or an energy imprint. I was in the kitchen again and
- 4:20asking my husband what he wanted for dinner and he replied
- 4:24something unhelpful along the lines of whatever you want.
- 4:29Well a few minutes later I get a call from my husband.
- 4:33He wasn't even home at the time of that conversation.
- 4:37Who was I talking to? I would like to let you know
- 4:41that I do not have any mental illness or neurological issues
- 4:45that would make me hallucinate. I never drank or did drugs.
- 4:49We also had a brand new carbon monoxide detector installed and
- 4:53we had moved in so there would be no reason for me to
- 4:57hallucinate any of that. My last experiences in my
- 5:01current home and it happened a few years ago.
- 5:05I was pouring some ramen noodles into bowls for my kids lunch
- 5:09when the the bulls started to spin in different directions
- 5:13without me touching them. I stopped and then stepped back
- 5:18and they stopped spinning, then spun one more time before
- 5:21finally stopping altogether. There are more minor experiences
- 5:26I've had, but these were the most memorable.
- 5:29I hope it was interesting enough for what you were looking for.
- 5:33I certainly think it was. You certainly had a variety of
- 5:37paranormal experiences from the sounds of it, but the
- 5:40nightmares, the scratching on the walls and the shaking of my
- 5:44bed would have been downright terrifying.
- 5:48What really takes the cake for me is the fact that you had a
- 5:51conversation with something pretending to be your husband
- 5:54and your husband wasn't even there.
- 5:57All around, thank you for sharing this with us, GAIL.
- 6:02Hello, big fan and submitting my story.
- 6:05I've always had an interest in the paranormal my entire life
- 6:09but was never really convinced up until this event.
- 6:13It was spring of 2015 and I was working on a conservation crew
- 6:18in Lake Tahoe doing fire hazard removal and fuels reduction with
- 6:24the Forest Service on a chainsaw crew.
- 6:28I've been doing this job for a year in Nevada and this was my
- 6:32first time in the area. Our work day came to a close and
- 6:37mind you this is the day one of our schedule out of a six day
- 6:40work week when we left Incline Village towards our designated
- 6:45campsite at Spooner Lake in Carson City.
- 6:50After our crew set up camp and ate dinner, myself and two other
- 6:54Co workers took a brief walk down the service trail until we
- 6:59got to an intersection on the trail that wasn't surrounded by
- 7:02trees. We shoot the breeze and smoke
- 7:06American spirits for about 45 minutes to an hour, laughing and
- 7:11just talking about life. And out of nowhere in the corner
- 7:16of my left eye I see a white mist and the silhouette of a
- 7:20person about 6 feet tall just glide diagonally from behind a
- 7:26tree. It stands motionless in the
- 7:31middle of the trail we're on and I can see the dirt of the trail
- 7:35underneath it because it had no feet but its legs conjoined just
- 7:42after its knees couldn't see through it because it was so
- 7:46dense from whatever it was made out of.
- 7:49I whispered my Co workers name to get them to look up from
- 7:52their phone and as he looks up he says what?
- 7:56And then he too became frozen as he stared right at this figure.
- 8:02I ask him if he sees it too and he says I think it pierced my
- 8:07soul. While my other Co worker is
- 8:10oblivious to all of this happening, it suddenly notices
- 8:15us noticing it and glides slowly diagonally across the trail and
- 8:22behind a tree was gone. The angle in which it moved
- 8:28seemed as though it was a direction or path that we cannot
- 8:32conceive. Anyway, we run back to our
- 8:36campground which was about 100 to 200 yards away and just went
- 8:41back to our tents without saying a word to each other or the rest
- 8:45of the crew. The real amazing part about this
- 8:48experience was that unbeknownst to me or anyone in my crew is
- 8:53that next to the lake are these hills that gradually go up.
- 8:58Every morning this fog would roll down these hills and it
- 9:02just looks incredible. However, it is the exact same
- 9:07density and material that the figure seemed to be composed of.
- 9:13I think the spirit is somehow part of nature and maybe burning
- 9:17tobacco brought it out as if it were an offering.
- 9:21After all, this is an ancient land.
- 9:25That was my experience, I hope you enjoyed it.
- 9:30I did enjoy Nick. It sounds super creepy though in
- 9:33my opinion, and perhaps you're right.
- 9:36Maybe the offering brought forth some type of ancient spirit that
- 9:40dwells the area, translucent and or composed of fog.
- 9:45Just sounds so eerie to me. Thank you for sharing this with
- 9:49us. This must have happened in 1986
- 9:56or 87, which made me about six or seven at the time.
- 10:01It is important to note that where we were staying back then,
- 10:04a suburb and then Pretoria, currently referred to as the
- 10:09city of Tishwani, a large city. Even then, our house was
- 10:15situated only a few blocks from one of the busiest streets in
- 10:19the city, a broad 4 lane with constant traffic both ways.
- 10:25Big trucks right through the night barreling off into the
- 10:29distance. The kind of consistent drone I
- 10:33imagine a New Yorker living in Manhattan might experience even
- 10:37in the dead of night. On this particular night, my
- 10:41mother was alone in the living room with our faithful family
- 10:44golden spaniel watching some late night TV.
- 10:49Myself and my younger sister were both already sound asleep.
- 10:53My elder brother was keeping to himself in his bedroom.
- 10:57My father was not in the picture at the time.
- 11:01A perfectly serene scene. It must have been about 10 PMA
- 11:06warm summer evening and our living room front door was open
- 11:11to allow the pleasant evening air inside.
- 11:14The first thing my mom noticed was a feeling of unease.
- 11:18The feeling was intense and unignorable.
- 11:23She got up and crossed the living room to the outside
- 11:26porch, the dog following behind her.
- 11:30According to her account, this is when things got super weird.
- 11:35Upon exiting the house, she immediately noticed an eerie
- 11:38silence hanging over the place. It was if some huge vacuum
- 11:42cleaner had just gone and sucked every bit of ambient noise out
- 11:46of the air. No crickets chirping, of which
- 11:50there should be many in high summer, not a breath of air, no
- 11:56dog barking in the distance, and most disturbing of all, not even
- 12:01the faintest whisper of traffic anywhere near or far.
- 12:06Furthermore, the air had acquired a distinct dole
- 12:09quality, the feeling almost like your ears needed to pop, almost
- 12:15thickened, denser, making it somehow harder to draw a breath.
- 12:22Just when you think it couldn't get weirder, the dog who was
- 12:25standing close by broke into a long, drawn out sorrowful howl,
- 12:32seeming filled with immeasurable anguish.
- 12:36This was not her habit. It was highly unusual.
- 12:40She had never before exhibited such behavior and never again
- 12:45did afterwards. It must have been around this
- 12:49time, from all that I can glean, that my brother, having fallen
- 12:54asleep on his bed, was woken up not by the dogs howling, but
- 13:00from feeling cold. This was slightly unusual this
- 13:04time of year. I believe it might have even
- 13:07been the dog that woke him after all.
- 13:10Yet he only remembers waking up from the cold feeling that he
- 13:13had. He was around 11 or 12 years old
- 13:16back then. He surely must have sensed
- 13:19something amiss as well, for his immediate instinct was not to
- 13:24cover himself in order to escape the cold.
- 13:27Instead, he opted to get up and go investigate, upon which he
- 13:33met my mom in the passage going in the opposite direction.
- 13:38Not a word was exchanged between them, my mom continuing on to
- 13:43her room and my brother, still somewhat befuddled, continued to
- 13:48the living room and out onto the porch, still with no clear
- 13:53directive. I think this was when the dog
- 13:56started howling again, having moved to the center of the
- 14:00narrow front lawn that we had. Now my mom has returned, having
- 14:05fetched her Bible from the bedside table, standing
- 14:09resolutely next to my brother. Though I confess to placing no
- 14:14great stock in the Bible itself as a tool of any great power,
- 14:19and am no supporter of the concept of religion, neither is
- 14:23my mom anymore. And maybe it was my mother's
- 14:26sheer power of faith, which is considerable.
- 14:29In any event, these are the facts.
- 14:32As it occurred, my mom wasted no time opening the Bible randomly
- 14:38and earnestly starting a heartfelt prayer.
- 14:42The exact nature of her prayer is altogether irrelevant, save
- 14:46for her deep rooted faith and its effectiveness.
- 14:50The effect was immediate and dramatic at once.
- 14:56All ambient sound and natural warmer air came back in a rush.
- 15:01It was almost an audible, tangible looshing sound.
- 15:05The dog stopped howling. She approached the humans now,
- 15:10tail wagging and panting, totally back to normal, except
- 15:15that she couldn't hide her obvious relief.
- 15:19This marked the end of the episode.
- 15:21As to the origins thereof, we have speculated over the years
- 15:26but are careful to not make any definitive accusations towards
- 15:30anyone. The person who was approached
- 15:32with a warning to lay off still to this dying day denied all
- 15:37knowledge of being involved. However, on one thing we are all
- 15:42unanimous, foul play was involved.
- 15:46An ancient form of the blackest arts.
- 15:51Genevieve, thank you as well for sharing your story with us.
- 15:55It seems like whatever this thing was caused everything to
- 15:58be still almost like some kind of time warp, which sounds very
- 16:03creepy indeed. I'm glad that your mother found
- 16:07whatever authority it was that she needed to send this thing
- 16:10away and allow everything to get back to normal for you guys.
- 16:15First, I'd like to say that I appreciate all of you guys that
- 16:18did allow me to retell your stories.
- 16:21I appreciate you having the courage to submit them as well
- 16:24because not a lot of people do and overall I hope I did your
- 16:29experiences justice. If you would like to submit a
- 16:33story for the next episode because I would like to make
- 16:36this a regular thing if it's possible, please e-mail me at

- 16:49share this around. Other than that, guys, like I've
- 16:53said, these experiences are very real and they do occur a lot
- 16:57more often than people would like to think.
- 17:00Anyways guys, I love you all. Thank you for being an amazing
- 17:03and supportive community and as always, this has been Cody here
