  talk about Daytona before we get into Moto GP and what's going on

  with the likes of some of these artists, I mean the artists.

  Right the the last show we left off on you taking your trip to
• 0:49
  Daytona, so you was preparing for it.

  So what a better way to start it off, right?

  Yeah, man, you know, so it was a good time.

  It's nice that I can get to Daytona under under 4 Hours.

  And I mean, I'm definitely excited about that.

  You know, it's something that was not always easy, you know
• 1:12
  what I'm saying? So you know.

  Composed to how? How much they used to take here.

  Oh God, like 25 hours. You know what I'm saying,
• 1:21
  realistically. And it used to do it, though.

  It used to do it. I used to go all the, Well, I
• 1:26
  don't know how many times you went, but I think you went a
• 1:28
  couple times. So you still.
• 1:30
  Yeah, yeah, yeah. Make the trip happen.

  Though this is my fifth time I believe.

  If I had to guess that might be my 4th time and and so it is
• 1:40
  nicer to just be able to just get out there and and and get to
• 1:44
  the track quick. Man.

  It's one thing about the Northeast living up that side.

  You know the closest track is Loudon, which is awesome because
• 1:49
  it's right around the corner for us.

  But you know, if we want to go anywhere else, it's six hours
• 1:55
  plus to Jersey and then the numbers just keep adding up,
• 1:59
  adding up, adding up after that. You know what I'm saying?

  You can forget something to go back home.

  You know what I'm saying and I can't do, you can't do that with

  you can't do that. You know going down further than

  Jersey it gets really complicated.

  So it's nicer to be down this side for sure.

  I have access to a lot more tracks.

  So shorter distance. I mean West Coast is still going

  to take about the same time regardless if it's Boston or or

  or down in Florida. So you know that side it it, it

  is what it is. I will say, you know I didn't
• 2:37
  have a lot going into this weekend, you know thinking about
• 2:39
  anything. It was one of the most calmest
• 2:41
  weekends I had. Granted I banged my knee up so I
• 2:43
  was limping a little bit but it was one of the nicest weekends I
• 2:47
  had and you know I I I was trying to fight for a couple of
• 2:53
  of of regional titles but I wasn't quite sure because you
• 2:58
  never know what's going to happen.

  You know my bike wasn't running the way I'd like it delivered
• 3:02
  around before and stuff like that.
• 3:05
  But you know practice was good even though I was limping and I
• 3:09
  was in pain on race day, you know once you know even right
• 3:14
  pitting out, you know, I was like how am I going to shift,
• 3:17
  how am I going to move? But once once I once I did the
• 3:19
  warm up lap like I felt you know what it is adrenaline starts
• 3:23
  working and and and the pain I also did take some painkillers
• 3:27
  and and and the pain went away and you know the start of the
• 3:31
  race was a little confusing and stuff like that but I had a
• 3:34
  really good start you know you know I was I I I got I I was you
• 3:40
  know I wouldn't say I got the whole shot but you know I was I
• 3:44
  was first place in in the expert race but I did have some
• 3:48
  amateurs shut out to Moto Sash Sasha who's a fan who's a fan of
• 3:54
  the show watches all the episodes and it was nice to to
• 3:57
  battle against him. I forget the other kids name.

  Young kid, Motor America. Cup kids.
• 4:03
  So no, no, no, no. He's he's he's on, he's on RS660
• 4:06
  now. He's not even He's not even
• 4:08
  messing with the lightweight bikes.
• 4:09
  OK, OK. I saw his name upon the voice.
• 4:12
  Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, this is not the another
• 4:15
  another young kid. His dad used to race and he's
• 4:17
  put it next to to us and stuff like that.
• 4:19
  And you know, I got the video, so I'll put the video up.

  So it was the three of us, you know, had a good start, passed
• 4:27
  them in the first, in in in the first, probably the start of the
• 4:30
  second lap and stuff. And then they passed me my rear
• 4:33
  tire. I had some movement in my rear
• 4:35
  tire. They were able to you know put a
• 4:37
  gap you know by the end of the race I was able to reel them
• 4:40
  back in and stuff like that and so it was a good battle all
• 4:44
  around the second race I did also I mean that was that was
• 4:48
  more that was a little bit more quiet because they they they
• 4:52
  they were consolidating the day and and it was the last race of
• 4:56
  the day and so we were we were the the the 300 bikes were were
• 5:01
  pitted with the with the with the lightweight bikes.
• 5:05
  I ever had a good start again and you know I was really just
• 5:09
  trying to reel in the SVS and the and the and the lightweight
• 5:11
  bike. So you know it was it was you
• 5:14
  know chasing that But you know I I finished first place in both
• 5:17
  my races. You know it is one of the things
• 5:21
  that it's kind of weird, right. Because I don't think I've ever
• 5:24
  gotten a first place as an amateur.
• 5:26
  I think the best I've got an amateur is is is is second
• 5:30
  place. You know what I'm saying And
• 5:31
  I've been able to get, you know, 6 six first places this year,
• 5:37
  you know, two national titles for three regional titles and
• 5:42
  two second place regional titles.
• 5:45
  So you know, it's one of those years where I, I, you know, I'm
• 5:49
  over the moon because I didn't expect it.
• 5:51
  And thanks, thanks man. And you know and I'm looking I'm
• 5:56
  looking forward to to next season already and you know I

  got down to it like a 224 on the KTM at Daytona.

  You know I was looking at the 400 times.
• 6:06
  So I'm about 10 seconds off those those guys on on on on the
• 6:12
  on a 400 so in and I felt like I probably still had like another
• 6:16
  five or six seconds that I probably could have shaved off
• 6:18
  the bike because breaking is still killing me.
• 6:21
  Breaking is still killing me and and it's all I feel like you
• 6:24
  know next year I'm probably going to run with some four
• 6:26
  hundreds on the KT with the KTM and and just run the 400 races
• 6:29
  and see you know see where I can get because they the bike ran
• 6:34
  well at at at. It's room well, seems like I'm
• 6:39
  saying the bikes tuned well. It seems like everything you
• 6:41
  know is there. You got all the gearing and
• 6:43
  stuff, so yeah, there you go. Everything felt right.
• 6:46
  So it was overall, it's a good weekend and it's good to come
• 6:49
  away with this. It's not something I expected.
• 6:53
  Like I said, you know, with, with, with, with the move, with
• 6:55
  everything. But you know, you know, I'll
• 6:58
  take it, man. Yeah, I have a couple questions

  though, but you kind of answered the first one.

  I was going to say going into your weekend, you know and
• 7:07
  obviously you knew what you, what was at stake with your
• 7:11
  points and stuff like that. But since it's the last round of
• 7:14
  the season, did you have like any any thoughts like what she's
• 7:18
  going to put out on the table? And then how did the draft feel
• 7:24
  being at Daytona on a nice dry day?

  You know, I I think looking at the grid I felt pretty good
• 7:35
  because the the the people that were close to me in points
• 7:38
  didn't come, which it's not always the way you want to win a
• 7:40
  race, but you know what I'm saying?
• 7:43
  They didn't show up. So it you know, I was regardless
• 7:48
  of where I I finished. I figured out a walked away with
• 7:50
  something. But then you know it.

  It's like you know it. It's like you never know what
• 7:58
  what you think could possibly happen is different when the

  lights go out. Of course, you know what I'm
• 8:04
  saying, and usually you, you surprise yourself.

  Usually when you think you're going to run bad, you usually
• 8:11
  run better. And I guess when you think
• 8:12
  you're going to run good, you probably touch your own bit
• 8:14
  worse. Adrenaline's a a great thing
• 8:19
  because yeah when you when you feel that way yeah I see what
• 8:23
  you mean. Like the my last round I was
• 8:27
  third in my points and they line you up by points and I forgot to
• 8:31
  pre register because how busy I was and I was at the back of the
• 8:35
  grid and when the when the lights went out I end up going
• 8:40
  into the corner I think 3rd or 4th and I was ahead of.
• 8:45
  Who I needed to be, but then I got jammed up in a few corners
• 8:48
  and it didn't work out. But you know, thinking of what
• 8:51
  you said, you do better than you think you would.

  So yeah, so, so you know, you know it.

  So yeah. And it was great to see some
• 8:58
  folks shout out to Sam as well. One of the Neymar guys, he came

  down to Daytona for the first time.

  Also another fan of the show. You know shout out to Bam.

  Bam came down as well on on his on his triumph and and again you

  know you know, like we it's it's just one of these tracks that

  you know it should be on any writers bucket list you know,

  because. I love to see how we travel too.

  Loudon, Loudon that we we travel.

  So there there's no there's, there's no question.

  I was gonna say definitely should be on a bucket list.

  Yeah no, no that that like that's one of the tracks that

  you know you have some European guys that came over and they

  don't they don't have a track like loud in Europe.

  You know that's it's just it's it's not a track not loud in

  Daytona. It's not a track like that in in

  in Europe. So it is something to to be very

  impressed about. So you know so overall good

  weekend good to have some some some some bragging rights for

  next season don't know what's going to happen yet with with

  scheduling and all that fun stuff.

  So I think like all of I think Neymar's schedules out and maybe

  one of the two other schedules out for next year, but I got to
• 10:12
  wait to see what overall schedule look like and you know

  I'm hoping to get 10 rounds in and and you know continue

  grinding and. We're going to have some track
• 10:21
  days and safety track, yeah, yeah, you know, I know I'm doing
• 10:26
  Loudon for sure and I know I'm going to do some some track days

  for sure. That much I do know because I
• 10:34
  want to, you know, still I'm run, I'm going to run the R6 at
• 10:37
  Loudon and then I I need to do some track days just to get some
• 10:41
  C time on that bike for next year.

  So I don't come up there green on that bike.

  Yeah, but yeah, did you any join any festivities in Daytona?

  I know they had like Bike Week down there.

  Right. And Bike Toberfest.

  Bike Toberfest, you know, so, so I I've never, I've never been.

  I've been to Myrtle Beach and I've been to Loudon Bike Week,

  but never been to bike Toberfest or the Daytona bike let along

  the tracks. Yeah.

  No. You know it's if you've been to

  I don't want to say what happens in in in Daytona stays in

  Daytona like Vegas but you know if if I told you what happened

  you might not believe me. You know it's it's it's easier

  think that could possibly happen because it's it's bike Tober

  Fest and it's a bunch of bikers and yeah it it it's ridiculous

  that you know what I even like it was a Sunday you know man

  listen I I I saw this this girl walking out of out of 711 and

  all she had on was a a a a button up shirt and it was and

  the button was open that's all she had on.

  So I'm. Sure, people on bikes wearing

  nothing, probably riding backwards.

  This stupid stuff. I mean I only see they only show

  the clips of the strip. Right.

  Right. And she was getting in the car

  and she was getting in the car. So I I, you know I and it was

  early this is, this is this is you know this is like 11 thirty

  11/30/12. So it's still pretty early, but

  you know, hanging out Saturday night.

  Huh. Has to say it's a big event,

  yeah. I I I suspect she lost the bet

  or something like that. I I just can't imagine why you

  just all you got on is, is, is, is, is this shirt.

  So you know what I'm saying? So it it that was ridiculous to

  see but even Saturday night. But you know it it's it's people

  having fun and and you know, you know, living vicariously through

  motorcycles and expressing themselves and you know,

  partying and having a good time. You know, I will say I, I, I I

  don't know if it's every year and I don't want to be the one

  that brings it down a little bit but people get jacked up as well
• 13:16
  and definitely saw a few people jacked up, motorcyclist jacked
• 13:21
  up. I don't know who's at fault or
• 13:23
  whatever the case may be. So you know that side of things
• 13:26
  is always, you know, crazy. And I, you know, I don't know
• 13:29
  what it is. I don't know if it's, you know,
• 13:31
  alcohol. I don't know if it's lack of
• 13:33
  skill riding, you know, because you know it's one thing when
• 13:36
  you're riding with, you know, twenty of your buddies or
• 13:38
  whatever the case may be when you're talking about.

  I don't know what numbers are, but it's well over a couple of
• 13:43
  100,000 people. It's well over it.
• 13:45
  It's a lot of bikes. It's a whole different animal
• 13:48
  when you're riding with that many bikes and and trying to
• 13:52
  you, you don't. Everybody's not everybody, but a
• 13:54
  lot of people are strangers. So you don't know that you know
• 13:58
  they're riding styles or anything like that.

  So that was unfortunate to see because you know, you know, I, I

  saw some people stretch out on the side of the road, you know?

  That's not good. I mean it's funny is they all
• 14:09
  came in riding on the bike, I'm sure nice and fine and ready to

  party and then, I don't know, hopefully it wasn't alcohol

  under the plate. But with being around a lot of
• 14:20
  bikes, people act stupid. Correct.

  Exactly. You know what I'm saying?

  So and and and and and I'm sure it happens in other ways.

  I'm not trying to discount any stretch your imagination because

  you know I you know I know Florida my new home is a is a is

  a no helmet state and you know I like I can't be on a bike and

  not have a helmet on and I I did see one dude on on the road he

  didn't have a helmet on and and I definitely I don't I can't say

  definite right because nothing is definite but I felt like if

  he had more riding gear on it might have been a different
• 14:57
  story. I don't know what the outcome is
• 14:59
  or anything like that, but definitely felt like it would.

  It would have been a different story with helmet on.

  Yeah, having a helmet on is going to help.

  It's not going to hurt. Yeah, I mean, you know, we all

  learn the hard way, but you know, more gear the better I

  think. But you never know any

  situation. But I hate.

  I hate to see. I don't know, it's just maybe

  Massachusetts are bred into it with helmet laws and no other

  places are too. But being surrounded by states

  who have no helmet law, I just when I ride by someone with no

  helmet I want, I'm just like, are you just going down the

  street or it looks like you're just out for the day.

  If you're out for the day, like, I feel like just be more

  cautious. But that's just my opinion.

  You know, I I have friends that I grew up with.

  It's funny, like one of my, you know, my good friends growing

  up, he rides as well and he cares less for a helmet and and

  and I ride and you know as teenagers we were both driving

  and acting a fool and I'm of the mindset like I always got gear

  on and he doesn't. And like like we're pretty much

  not to say the same person. But you know what I mean?

  Like it. It's it's interesting that the

  two of us, you know, ride bikes and we have different views on
• 16:15
  it. I respect the view for sure and

  and I get it, you know what I mean?

  You know, but you know. I get it too.

  But you know when I had a freak accident?

  I mean, I don't want to go off topic, but I had a freak
• 16:34
  accident just couple years ago bringing my street bike to my
• 16:38
  storage unit, right? Cruising.

  You know it is November, so it is dark, very early.

  But I'm cruising. The light turned green and
• 16:47
  everyone jammed on their brakes. The bike tipped over and I
• 16:51
  couldn't save it. You know, like when it's heavy
• 16:53
  it tipped over. I try to save it but I actually
• 16:56
  fell on the ground and the bike fell on my foot and I was
• 17:01
  wearing shoes, not my actual riding boots.
• 17:04
  And when I tell you, When I tell you that my foot was hurting for
• 17:07
  weeks. Just on that little small
• 17:09
  incident, I'm just like, why am I wearing my riding boots?
• 17:13
  Because I I thought I was just going to one place, you know,
• 17:16
  very simple, just drop the bike off.
• 17:18
  I was done for the year. I don't want to bring all this
• 17:21
  extra gear and and that happened.
• 17:22
  But you never know. You never know and and that's
• 17:26
  the biggest part, you know what I'm saying?

  You never know. So it is what it is, but you
• 17:29
  know, I'm, I'm looking forward to next year.

  I want to go, definitely, definitely want to go next year.

  Yeah, Daytona is, is, is, is awesome place, you know.

  So Speaking of that, let's get into Moto GP, because man

  Australia, you know. I want, I want to tell you that

  this week in Moto GP it was Friday, you know, I know

  Thursday. I watched, you know, the
• 17:53
  conferences and Friday. I didn't really look at the
• 17:56
  times like it's like 8:00 and I look at the app and it's like
• 17:59
  live. I'm like what?
• 18:00
  But you know, I watched everything all the way through,
• 18:03
  just felt good to like watch it as like a, you know, sporting
• 18:07
  event. You know why, why up?
• 18:09
  You don't have to wake up at 6:00 AM to watch it live.

  Or you know, if it's the case, you guys case, you guys wake up
• 18:16
  to watch modem three. I kind of wake up to watch this
• 18:19
  Moto GP. And then watch the other ones
• 18:22
  later. How did you feel about them
• 18:26
  switching the race from Sunday to Saturday?

  I mean, I had no idea. I looked at the app and I was
• 18:34
  like, wait, Saturday says spread.

  I mean, a full race Sunday says Spread.

  I was like, is this wrong? So then that's when I realized
• 18:41
  they had the weather issue because I watched the practices.

  But I don't know. I mean, I thought it was OK.

  Because, you know, they didn't perform this Sprint on Sunday,
• 18:53
  so we kind of don't know if that is a good fit to have a main
• 18:58
  event like that on a Saturday. I kind of liked it.

  So I mean, listen, I I I've been to a few motor GP races and you

  know on Friday not a lot of people.

  On Saturday, a little bit more people.
• 19:13
  On Sunday it's everybody. And so, like if you bought a

  ticket for Sunday only and you found out the race was happening
• 19:23
  on Saturday. Right.

  You know what I'm saying? Like if you had work or you had
• 19:28
  things you couldn't get to or whatever for whatever reason.

  So I. Think I think the people that

  purchased tickets to go to the event.

  Granted, the weather was what it is, so you might not have wanted
• 19:38
  to go go anyway, But I think the people, that's the only thing I
• 19:43
  pick, the people that were only planning on going Sunday, only
• 19:46
  the folks that would go the whole weekend, they got a treat
• 19:48
  because nothing happened. Well, Moto 2 and Moto and Moto 3
• 19:51
  happened on Sunday, but you know, the Sprint didn't happen.
• 19:54
  So that's the only, like, you know, I don't know, I don't know
• 19:59
  what the back story is going to be on that.

  You know, as far as because I got to be some disgruntled
• 20:03
  people saying, hey, I didn't get to see this and I spent a lot of
• 20:06
  money on a ticket. I don't know what darn is going

  to do about that one. It's going to be a tough
• 20:15
  decision. It's going to treat it just like
• 20:17
  any other concert or event. I mean I don't know what it says
• 20:23
  in a in a racing event about weather if it's stance though.

  So yeah, I'm. I'm pretty sure they got stuff

  in in the. Fine print, but because it's

  not, it's not going to be rescheduled.

  So it doesn't seem like it's legit.

  It's just I think it's just legit over, like they're moving

  on. They have another race very

  soon, exactly. So yeah, I think those, I don't

  know what they're going to do, but we'll, I guess we'll find

  out because if I, I assume people are going to complain and

  and say, hey, look, I missed the main event, You know, I've been

  saving to buy this ticket for 80 years and now I'm ready to go

  and and and it's changed. You know what I'm saying?

  So what would you do? Well, I've always, I've always

  gotten tickets for all the days. Yeah, see, that's that's what I

  would do, you know, the same, but not everybody.

  Does that, you know what I mean? Not everybody does that.

  Like when I went to Moto America, I got the full weekend
• 21:21
  brace bracelet and you know, I knew I was going to be there for
• 21:24
  the whole thing. I didn't want to just come down

  for a day. So, so yeah, I think the best

  way is just to get the full weekend.

  And I mean I don't think they'll do anything about that race.

  Maybe next year credit something I I.

  Don't know. Yeah, I I think all they can do

  is probably, you know give back the money for people that bought

  the one day ticket for Sundays and and I'm again, do they still

  have Moto Two that went on and Moto 3.

  So it's not like it was completely a loss.

  But you know, yeah, you you want to see the top guys.

  I mean they only also miss the Sprint.

  Exactly. So they they get nothing but but

  they they they actually missed the Grand Prix and was going to

  be replaced as a Sprint and. Then they missed that.

  So even if they showed up on Sunday thinking they was going

  to have a Grand Prix, they were going to watch half of that.

  So I don't. Would you be happy about that as

  well? I mean, you did see MODO 2 and

  MODO 3 if you went. If I if I had to pass on, if I
• 22:25
  was there Saturday, I wouldn't care.

  If I was there Sunday only, I still might feel away and you
• 22:31
  know, with the Sprint. But like, I get it and I don't

  know what the precedent will be going forward because now that
• 22:36
  they've done this, right. So you know what I mean?

  Do they in the future when they know it's going to be a bad
• 22:41
  weather day on Sunday, instead of waiting to see what happens,

  are they going to do the same thing again, Right.

  Because on one hand, it makes sense, because it's better to
