- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Almost Famous podcast with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey everybody, Bob getting here for Almost Famous the OG Podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 2: I'm without my faithful partner in crime, Trista Sutter Nae Wren.
- 0:15Speaker 2: But today we are very excited to bring back a
- 0:18Speaker 2: wonderful guest, doctor Travis Stork. You'll know doctor Travis Stork
- 0:22Speaker 2: from the eighth season of The Bachelor as well as
- 0:24Speaker 2: fourteen seasons of TVs The Doctors where he was the
- 0:30Speaker 2: host and just an awesome guy. I love this guy.
- 0:33Speaker 2: He's such a great guest as well. He's willing to
- 0:35Speaker 2: talk about everything. So we're going to get into it
- 0:37Speaker 2: a little bit today because last night he was on
- 0:39Speaker 2: the show, we didn't really get into much about his
- 0:42Speaker 2: particularly unique season of The Bachelor. I spent mine in
- 0:45Speaker 2: a now completely foreclosed mansion in Malibu, not complaining because
- 0:51Speaker 2: it was still awesome. He, on the other hand, was
- 0:53Speaker 2: in this glorious castle in Paris, so we're going to
- 0:56Speaker 2: get into that. We're also going to talk about, you know,
- 0:59Speaker 2: some myths, maybe some food myths, some medical myths that
- 1:03Speaker 2: are out there, and we're also going.
- 1:05Speaker 1: To find out, you know, what his favorite medical drama is.
- 1:07Speaker 1: So we got a lot in store for you. Let's
- 1:09Speaker 1: get into it. Let's bring him in, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:11Speaker 1: Doctor Travis Stork. How goes it? Hey, Hey, what's up, buddy?
- 1:15Speaker 1: How are you let me dream? How about you?
- 1:19Speaker 2: Well, that's the same man, that's the same. We had
- 1:21Speaker 2: so much fun with you last time on the show.
- 1:23Speaker 2: We thought we got to bring you back and catch
- 1:26Speaker 2: up and check in with you. Are you Are you
- 1:28Speaker 2: still on sabbatical or where are you at with things
- 1:30Speaker 2: right now?
- 1:30Speaker 1: I'm working on a few things in the health space entrepreneurially,
- 1:34Speaker 1: but you know, primarily, as you know, the job number one,
- 1:41Speaker 1: two and three right now is daddy. I was going
- 1:44Speaker 1: to say, right around the house, you and me both, buddy.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Definitely makes it easy to kind of do an occasional
- 1:50Speaker 2: podcast from my guest room upstairs.
- 1:54Speaker 1: That it makes makes me feel better when you post
- 1:56Speaker 1: stuff about you being on vacation and the reality of
- 2:00Speaker 1: a life. Yeah, no, thank you man. Yeah, it's funny.
- 2:04Speaker 1: My My wife has become this this She really loves
- 2:09Speaker 1: doing Instagram stuff right and and I just don't really
- 2:12Speaker 1: enjoy it. So I'm always like, just run with it,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you know, whatever you want to do, And so she'll
- 2:16Speaker 1: put these like video montages together and everything, and for me,
- 2:20Speaker 1: it really is I'm just like, man, I'm getting a
- 2:22Speaker 1: lot of good time with my kids. I actually had
- 2:24Speaker 1: someone say to me the other day. They were like,
- 2:26Speaker 1: so do you even work, Like what's your job?
- 2:28Speaker 2: Because I mean, you know, all you do is vacation.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I'm like, hold on, I have kids, man, and they're
- 2:32Speaker 2: under six, so there's no such thing as vacation. All
- 2:35Speaker 2: it is is going to a different ZIP coding having
- 2:37Speaker 2: them you know, ignore me there.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Exceptance even a harder that's totally I've done with a
- 2:44Speaker 1: big trip to Colorado. And yeah, the kids obviously are
- 2:50Speaker 1: a bit out of sorts, and yes, they're doing fun
- 2:52Speaker 1: things they'll remember forever, whether it's going on the gondola
- 2:55Speaker 1: or you know, even just doing something simply putting their
- 3:00Speaker 1: feet in the stream. But man, it's like all of
- 3:03Speaker 1: a sudden they're out of their routine and trying to
- 3:05Speaker 1: put them to bed and oh that's brutal, I know.
- 3:09Speaker 1: And then the reset.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Then you come home and it's like, what the hell,
- 3:12Speaker 2: I might as well never have had a bedtime for
- 3:14Speaker 2: these kids because we're We went we went to Charlotte,
- 3:18Speaker 2: North Carolina, last week. We spent a week there just
- 3:21Speaker 2: hanging out with our friends, and man, every night it
- 3:24Speaker 2: was like, you know, nine thirty, ten o'clock.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Normally the boys are in bed by.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Eight, and it was tough to get them off the
- 3:32Speaker 2: thing there and we finally bring them back around and
- 3:35Speaker 2: there you go. Man, it's like last night, nine forty five,
- 3:38Speaker 2: I'm negotiating to get my six year old to lay down.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, we're in the staying right now. After back,
- 3:45Speaker 1: it's now bedtime super late. In Nashville. School starts, so
- 3:49Speaker 1: Grayson will be a kindergartener and school starts in less
- 3:53Speaker 1: than two weeks. And I'm like, right, you're doing the
- 3:56Speaker 1: math in my head because you know, bedtime is creep
- 3:59Speaker 1: back by a few hours over the last since we
- 4:03Speaker 1: went on vacation slash parenting from a different location, And like,
- 4:08Speaker 1: how in the world am I going to get him
- 4:10Speaker 1: back to going to bed by seven thirty eight so
- 4:12Speaker 1: we can go to school in the morning. Yeah, nice, Bob,
- 4:15Speaker 1: I'm all of yours, No, buddy, trust me, I was.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I was open to hear it from you. Both of
- 4:22Speaker 2: our greasons are defying their dad. This is not this
- 4:24Speaker 2: is not helpful at all, but no, man, great to
- 4:28Speaker 2: have you back on the show. You know, we realized
- 4:30Speaker 2: last time we had YAHT and we didn't really get
- 4:32Speaker 2: a chance to kind of dig in a little bit
- 4:35Speaker 2: to the you know, the unique Bachelor experience you had.
- 4:37Speaker 2: And we were talking about it earlier and I was like, yeah,
- 4:40Speaker 2: you know, it was so fun. When I filmed my show.
- 4:43Speaker 2: You know, we were in Malibu, and you know, our
- 4:46Speaker 2: most exotic location we went to was you know, Snake River, Wyoming.
- 4:52Speaker 2: And then four seasons later, doctor Travis storks filming in Paris.
- 4:58Speaker 2: You know, I mean, you got to do so pretty
- 5:01Speaker 2: cool travel and I'm just curious, you know, like how
- 5:04Speaker 2: did that whole thing happen for you?
- 5:05Speaker 1: I mean, it's it was interesting, you know. I like
- 5:09Speaker 1: my story.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I always thought was kind of unique because I didn't
- 5:12Speaker 2: consider myself to be on the show, which I know
- 5:13Speaker 2: you didn't either. You were actually discovered in a restaurant
- 5:16Speaker 2: and and my mindset was like, gosh, how is it
- 5:19Speaker 2: like he's in the hospital as a resident, you know,
- 5:21Speaker 2: working these crazy hours. I'm sure, and then all of
- 5:24Speaker 2: a sudden You're like, you know what, yeah, I'll do it.
- 5:26Speaker 1: What the hell?
- 5:27Speaker 2: How did that decision come about, And how did you
- 5:29Speaker 2: end up making the call to and how did your
- 5:32Speaker 2: family and friends react to you go like, yeah, I'm
- 5:35Speaker 2: gonna put this on.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Hold for a little bit. Well, luckily for me, the
- 5:38Speaker 1: so my family was very encouraging. My sister was a
- 5:41Speaker 1: huge fan of the show, and she's like, you're crazy,
- 5:44Speaker 1: you have to go do this. And then, fortunately for me,
- 5:47Speaker 1: the chairman of the emergency apartment was a huge fan
- 5:50Speaker 1: of television in general, all nice, and you know, I'm
- 5:54Speaker 1: I'll admit I was a little bit more naive, like, yeah, this,
- 5:56Speaker 1: there's no way this is going to work. I'm sorry,
- 5:58Speaker 1: I can't take often. And yet ironically the support around
- 6:05Speaker 1: me from the night at the restaurant, I was surrounded
- 6:08Speaker 1: by a bunch of my fellow yard Docks, so they
- 6:10Speaker 1: were all there when this was sort of happening, right,
- 6:14Speaker 1: you know, they were getting free beer, so they were
- 6:16Speaker 1: all fired up. And then, you know, but then when
- 6:20Speaker 1: the chairman was like, look we can let's make this work.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Go do this, and and I was basically given that
- 6:29Speaker 1: time away and all of my shifts were covered by colleagues,
- 6:32Speaker 1: which was so sweet of them. And yeah, it was
- 6:35Speaker 1: such a juxtaposition because I was in the final year
- 6:39Speaker 1: of my residency. It basically spent you know how it is,
- 6:43Speaker 1: day in, day out, night and night out in the hospital,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden, I'm on a plane
- 6:49Speaker 1: first class to Paris. Wow. Nothing to do but meet people,
- 6:57Speaker 1: meet women and living a castle. It was unreal And
- 7:02Speaker 1: to this I'm so grateful for because I have to
- 7:05Speaker 1: give the producer's credit. They they went out and they
- 7:09Speaker 1: found this truly this old school castle that was on
- 7:14Speaker 1: hundreds of acres outside of Paris, and they were really
- 7:19Speaker 1: nice to me in the in the sense that I
- 7:22Speaker 1: was like, look, if we're gonna go over there for
- 7:23Speaker 1: this long and we're out in the country, you know,
- 7:27Speaker 1: I want to be able to work out. And they
- 7:31Speaker 1: put a little gym in the lower area. There was
- 7:35Speaker 1: a mountain bike there for me. So I get up
- 7:37Speaker 1: and go mountain biking on the grounds of the castle.
- 7:39Speaker 1: You know, there were still sull holes in the castle,
- 7:43Speaker 1: slash whatever. I can't remember what war they were from,
- 7:48Speaker 1: but it was there was so much history there and
- 7:50Speaker 1: so I would get off because you know, filming doesn't
- 7:53Speaker 1: start first thing in morning. I would get all my
- 7:56Speaker 1: bike and go bike to the local village and sit
- 7:59Speaker 1: outside and drink my coffee, and I will say that
- 8:05Speaker 1: they looking back, I think I was there for six maybe.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Does that sound about right? Yeah?
- 8:13Speaker 2: That probably yeah, because that's all we did back then.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Six maybe eight at most, I would think with the
- 8:18Speaker 2: traveling stuff.
- 8:19Speaker 1: In retrospect, those were six of the most amazing weeks
- 8:22Speaker 1: of my life because I did not have all the
- 8:26Speaker 1: stresses of life ironically disappeared, and it really was it
- 8:31Speaker 1: was all about trying to meet someone and trying to,
- 8:35Speaker 1: you know, discover if this journey had a happy ending,
- 8:38Speaker 1: and quite honestly being there, which was a big selling
- 8:42Speaker 1: point for me to go was it wasn't the icing
- 8:46Speaker 1: on the cake. It was the cake. I mean it
- 8:49Speaker 1: was yeh wob. That's the cool thing is you get older,
- 8:52Speaker 1: you have kids, and you realize that experiences, adventures, they
- 8:59Speaker 1: don't come along every day all of a sudden. I mean,
- 9:03Speaker 1: I mean, I'm in the helicopters flying down to Champagne
- 9:06Speaker 1: in France, going into the cellars and drinking all this
- 9:10Speaker 1: wonderful champagne when well, here I'm a guy who I'd
- 9:14Speaker 1: never I don't think I've ever had champagne in my
- 9:16Speaker 1: life other than maybe a train or Joe's it's too
- 9:24Speaker 1: what is going on right now? And so dinner on
- 9:27Speaker 1: top of the Eiffel Tower, and in all those experiences. Yes,
- 9:32Speaker 1: it's good for TV, but at the end of the day,
- 9:35Speaker 1: these were real life experiences that I still have memories
- 9:39Speaker 1: of and pictures of, and you know, someday I'll show
- 9:42Speaker 1: them to my kids. Probably sure, we'll go visit France
- 9:46Speaker 1: and I'll be like, hey, kids, this is where daddy stayed.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Why where's mommy? Yeah, here's that in April Tower. Who's
- 9:54Speaker 1: that dad? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, so cool. I mean, it
- 9:59Speaker 1: really a once in a lifetime experience, and it I
- 10:03Speaker 1: think added to from a you know, production standpoint. I
- 10:10Speaker 1: think it added to the entry because it wasn't every day,
- 10:13Speaker 1: wasn't the same. It was literally venturing out and we
- 10:17Speaker 1: went down to Venice, we went to the French Viera,
- 10:22Speaker 1: we went all over Europe, in Vienna, Switzerland. In again
- 10:31Speaker 1: in retrospect, how cool they Oh my god, I didn't
- 10:35Speaker 1: have to book my own tickets and just like there
- 10:37Speaker 1: working like wait a minute, this is this is incredible.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I know, right and here here, you know, I was,
- 10:43Speaker 2: I was thinking my experience was amazing, and then I
- 10:46Speaker 2: started thinking about yours, and I was like, you know,
- 10:49Speaker 2: I was in Malibu right and our exotic dates. I mean,
- 10:52Speaker 2: don't get me wrong, So thank River, Wyoming's cool, right
- 10:55Speaker 2: it is? I went, I went to Alaska on a
- 10:57Speaker 2: glacier that was kind of cool, and then went, belize,
- 11:00Speaker 2: those are my three like exotics or whatever. But the
- 11:03Speaker 2: whole time we were filming, you know, at Firestone and
- 11:05Speaker 2: I laugh about this a lot when we talk, we
- 11:07Speaker 2: were terrified. We were in the haunted house of the
- 11:10Speaker 2: Bachelor Nation thing. It was like it got condemned, if
- 11:15Speaker 2: not after my season, I think after Jesse Palmer season.
- 11:17Speaker 2: And you'd lay there in bed and you'd look up
- 11:21Speaker 2: and it's all cameras and lights.
- 11:24Speaker 1: And you're just like, are they watching me sleep? You know,
- 11:27Speaker 1: like you'd be all stressed. There were cameras in your room.
- 11:30Speaker 2: There were cameras throughout the entire place because they when
- 11:33Speaker 2: they first set it up for filming. We I shouldn't
- 11:36Speaker 2: say cameras in my room. There were I was new
- 11:40Speaker 2: to that whole world, right, So there were lights because
- 11:43Speaker 2: they would do like your itms or whatever they do
- 11:46Speaker 2: those sometimes in the bedroom with a of you out
- 11:48Speaker 2: the window.
- 11:48Speaker 1: So they had different lights they could control, so you'd
- 11:50Speaker 1: look around the.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Room and you'd see lights, and you'd see an occasional
- 11:53Speaker 2: microphone here and there in case they wanted ambient sound
- 11:56Speaker 2: for things. And in my mind, I'm like, yeah, there's
- 11:59Speaker 2: definitely a camera there. Firestone was so stressed out about it.
- 12:02Speaker 2: He would go sleep in the closet. There was a
- 12:04Speaker 2: he had a single mattress in his closet, so there's
- 12:06Speaker 2: this big walking closet and he's like, I can't fleet manchi.
- 12:09Speaker 2: So you'd go there and close him stuff in the closet.
- 12:11Speaker 2: But when we talk about it, he's like, yeah, I
- 12:13Speaker 2: just knew they were watching me sleep. And I'm like,
- 12:15Speaker 2: what if I'm, you know, farting in my sleep or something.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Do I don't want that to.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Show up on the show. And so he was all
- 12:20Speaker 1: stressed out about it. It was pretty funny. You're like, wait,
- 12:22Speaker 1: what is this little thing on the shampoo bottle in
- 12:25Speaker 1: the shower? Nowadays, always I know they would do that,
- 12:30Speaker 1: but back then, you know, I don't think we had
- 12:32Speaker 1: that technology. Thank got, I will say, maybe this is
- 12:35Speaker 1: one of the advantages of having done it. Abroad, you know, realistically,
- 12:42Speaker 1: there there was one part of this medieval castle slash
- 12:47Speaker 1: property where it was this really beautiful you walk in,
- 12:50Speaker 1: huge great room and it was you know, it was
- 12:55Speaker 1: where the rose ceremonies were and everything else. But then
- 12:59Speaker 1: the part where I I actually stayed and lived was
- 13:04Speaker 1: so separate from all that. So it's almost I would
- 13:07Speaker 1: climb up the stairs at the end of the day
- 13:10Speaker 1: and I would retreat to my own little oasis. I
- 13:14Speaker 1: had my own little kitchen back there, and oh that's nice.
- 13:17Speaker 1: So I could go back up there, make a sandwich,
- 13:20Speaker 1: you know, get ready for bed. No cameras, No, I wasn't.
- 13:25Speaker 1: It was kind of nice. I'd shut that door, and
- 13:28Speaker 1: it's almost like I could turn off the experience of
- 13:32Speaker 1: being filmed and just yeah, back to the basics of
- 13:36Speaker 1: like who am I? What am I feeling? And going
- 13:40Speaker 1: through all the emotions of like, oh my gosh, today
- 13:42Speaker 1: was a great day. I really enjoyed spending time with
- 13:45Speaker 1: so and so, like, you know, what what am I
- 13:48Speaker 1: actually feeling right now? Yeah? I think when you're you
- 13:53Speaker 1: know this better than anyone. When there's constantly a camera
- 13:57Speaker 1: in front of you, you can't unwind. I I would
- 14:00Speaker 1: not tell in your guys circumstance, I would not. I
- 14:03Speaker 1: would not. I would have done what energy. I would
- 14:07Speaker 1: have gone into the closet, or I would have put
- 14:10Speaker 1: a pillow in the bathroom. Then you probably cameras in
- 14:14Speaker 1: there too. Yeah, you know, I mean it was. It
- 14:17Speaker 1: was definitely a different experience because I do love the
- 14:20Speaker 1: idea of when the show's gone abroad. I think it's
- 14:23Speaker 1: because it is kind of cool, right, There's like more
- 14:26Speaker 1: to it, you know, from the standpoint of just the
- 14:28Speaker 1: countryside and kind of that difference in culture and and
- 14:31Speaker 1: all that kind of stuff. And I would imagine that
- 14:34Speaker 1: was just I mean, it had to just ratchet things
- 14:36Speaker 1: up to a whole new world. So yeah, I was
- 14:39Speaker 1: I was a little jealous, but because I like you
- 14:41Speaker 1: so much, I was like, all right, damn it, I'm
- 14:43Speaker 1: gonna be okay with this. But I thought it was
- 14:46Speaker 1: so great. Now we're both at the point in life
- 14:49Speaker 1: where you think back to those experiences, and you know,
- 14:54Speaker 1: we were just talking about being on vacation with the
- 14:57Speaker 1: kids ACA guaranteeing in a different location. So when we
- 15:02Speaker 1: were in Colorado with the kids, I would get up
- 15:04Speaker 1: at like five am and go for a bike ride. Yeah,
- 15:09Speaker 1: back to when I was in Paris. I remember. One
- 15:13Speaker 1: of the cool things about the chaos of being abroad
- 15:15Speaker 1: is obviously there's so much going on on the production
- 15:18Speaker 1: side that they kind of lose track of you. So
- 15:20Speaker 1: it's like, okay, Travis, you know, meet on the front
- 15:23Speaker 1: lawn at two pm. Right, We're gonna go to downtown
- 15:27Speaker 1: Paris today, So until two pm. You know, I get up,
- 15:32Speaker 1: I go literally hop on the bike, go do whatever
- 15:35Speaker 1: I was going to go do, come back, make some breakfast,
- 15:38Speaker 1: and then just show them, you know, show up at
- 15:41Speaker 1: two pm and throw on some of the you know,
- 15:45Speaker 1: the nice clothes, right right, Like get change into your
- 15:49Speaker 1: wardrobe for the day. Yeah, Mike sweater.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Let's do this, the stuff you wear all the time anyway, right,
- 15:55Speaker 2: you're riding jacket.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I mean this is Kevin. It's not cotton. Oh no, yeah,
- 16:00Speaker 1: of course I don't wear cotton. I'm the bachelor guy. No.
- 16:03Speaker 2: It's funny that you say that, because I my experience
- 16:06Speaker 2: was like there was always someone in my space, and
- 16:10Speaker 2: that was really hard for me because even though I'm
- 16:12Speaker 2: a pretty social guy, I do love having some alone time,
- 16:15Speaker 2: and I yeah, that whole time we were filming if
- 16:18Speaker 2: I had anything that was kind of like my achilles
- 16:21Speaker 2: heel of that whole thing. It was being constantly feeling
- 16:25Speaker 2: like I couldn't say anything or do anything, you know,
- 16:28Speaker 2: because they were always lurking, you know, and they were
- 16:31Speaker 2: always rating them in my space and my purview. And
- 16:34Speaker 2: then I think I told you this last time we talked,
- 16:36Speaker 2: But I discovered the basement of the of the lower
- 16:40Speaker 2: level of the house I was in, and I brought
- 16:43Speaker 2: up the buyer so he's like, I don't think I
- 16:44Speaker 2: saw them, Like, oh yeah, they had it kind of
- 16:46Speaker 2: like you couldn't even see it.
- 16:47Speaker 1: And I found it one day.
- 16:49Speaker 2: It had like a sliding glass door and stuff, and
- 16:51Speaker 2: it was production central, like it was where they had
- 16:54Speaker 2: the boards up for the Rose ceremonies and where they did,
- 16:57Speaker 2: you know, all the camera twos, the camera fives with
- 16:59Speaker 2: all the kind of good stuff.
- 17:01Speaker 1: And I was like walking around and I'm like, what
- 17:03Speaker 1: is going on in here?
- 17:04Speaker 3: You know?
- 17:05Speaker 2: And I actually found found the contact information for all
- 17:09Speaker 2: the girls on my season, and I knew I wasn't
- 17:13Speaker 2: allowed to have it, so I wrote it all down
- 17:16Speaker 2: and then I sent them all a thank you card
- 17:18Speaker 2: for being on the show, right, and I didn't tell anyone,
- 17:21Speaker 2: and at the Men Tell All or the Women Tell
- 17:23Speaker 2: All Special, they were all so nice to me because
- 17:26Speaker 2: I had said, you know, I said nice things like, hey,
- 17:28Speaker 2: it was really nice meeting you, and I hope you
- 17:30Speaker 2: know when you got home with your family you realize
- 17:32Speaker 2: what a fun experience this was or whatever, and and
- 17:35Speaker 2: they're like.
- 17:36Speaker 1: They were looking for for sparks.
- 17:37Speaker 2: They were looking for people to be, you know, mad
- 17:39Speaker 2: at me and yelling at me and stuff, and everyone
- 17:41Speaker 2: was super nice, and they're like, what the hell happened?
- 17:43Speaker 2: And I know I wasn't until about a year or
- 17:44Speaker 2: two later that I finally came clean and I was like, yeah, guys,
- 17:47Speaker 2: I need to tell you something, you know.
- 17:49Speaker 1: And I don't even know why I told them. I
- 17:50Speaker 1: should have just kept it quiet, but I thought it
- 17:52Speaker 1: was funny. That's brilliant. And you know, I do have
- 17:55Speaker 1: a thought so Bob. When when your season was on,
- 17:59Speaker 1: they were like, you know, Bob as a winning personality,
- 18:02Speaker 1: we can put him in this house. We don't need
- 18:04Speaker 1: anything extravagant with me. They're like, this guy's a doc.
- 18:08Speaker 1: We play really boring me at the year we're going
- 18:12Speaker 1: to We're gonna need trips all across your yeah right, yeah,
- 18:20Speaker 1: you know what. That's very sweet of you to say.
- 18:22Speaker 2: But I think it was the perfect thing, and I
- 18:24Speaker 2: think that you crushed it, and you know, I mean,
- 18:27Speaker 2: it had to be such a different vibe. I would
- 18:31Speaker 2: think with the women too, you know, because that was
- 18:33Speaker 2: one of the things I started noticing when those seasons,
- 18:36Speaker 2: you know, seasons after mine, they would always be like, okay,
- 18:39Speaker 2: well you know, but you usually wait to after the
- 18:41Speaker 2: first rows ceremony or something. We're like, all right, ladies,
- 18:44Speaker 2: pack up, we're going tomorrow, we're flying to Thailand or whatever,
- 18:46Speaker 2: and they're like, oh my god, you know, and it
- 18:49Speaker 2: was interesting, you know, I thought it was really interesting.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Did you notice anyone, you know, I mean, because obviously
- 18:54Speaker 2: you know, you were you You weren't someone who came
- 18:57Speaker 2: from the Bachelor at first to then be the Bachelor.
- 18:59Speaker 2: So did you like find when you'd be out filming
- 19:02Speaker 2: in the streets of Paris that people would be like,
- 19:04Speaker 2: what is going on? Would they be paying attention? Or
- 19:07Speaker 2: was it the French? You know, I always think of
- 19:09Speaker 2: the French as being like, you know, they just walk
- 19:11Speaker 2: right past and don't care. Did you get anybody like
- 19:14Speaker 2: paying special attention to you and possibly like taking pictures,
- 19:17Speaker 2: because I mean there could have been American tourists there
- 19:19Speaker 2: who would be like, Oh, this is the Bachelor, I
- 19:21Speaker 2: know what this is.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I think there was a definite curiosity. It's not the
- 19:26Speaker 1: fandom that you think of in America where you see
- 19:29Speaker 1: a camera and everyone's like, oh my gosh, what's going on?
- 19:31Speaker 1: I hate it, right, definite curiosity because we spent so
- 19:35Speaker 1: much time, even in the streets of Paris that you're
- 19:38Speaker 1: walking by a corner cafe and you know how it is.
- 19:41Speaker 1: It's just we're sitting out there smoking a cigarette, having
- 19:44Speaker 1: a cup of coffee or an espresso, and there's definitely
- 19:48Speaker 1: that element of intrigue. And I will say that, you know,
- 19:52Speaker 1: this is my first time I'd ever been in front
- 19:54Speaker 1: of a camera, so it's not like I was so natural,
- 19:57Speaker 1: right I remember back then. Obviously now I've spent plenty
- 20:01Speaker 1: of years in front of the camera, but yeah, you've
- 20:03Speaker 1: done more than all of us combined at this point.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I would I would actually I never liked it when
- 20:12Speaker 1: when you knew there was this backdrop of people just
- 20:15Speaker 1: eavesdropping on what was happening, because it just it felt
- 20:19Speaker 1: more more so than the cameras. I don't know why,
- 20:23Speaker 1: but it felt like thieves dropping. Like, yes, literally your
- 20:26Speaker 1: in front of cameras. It's going to be telecast of millions.
- 20:28Speaker 1: But there was something about, you know, when when the
- 20:32Speaker 1: people were just kind of watching and trying to figure
- 20:34Speaker 1: out what was going on.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know you felt I thought you felt scrutinized, right, Yeah,
- 20:41Speaker 2: I felt more uncomfortable in those situations than any other.
- 20:45Speaker 1: And again, I don't know why, It's just maybe part
- 20:48Speaker 1: of the whole experience. I'd never you know, I'd never
- 20:51Speaker 1: had people staring at me before, right, but I was
- 20:55Speaker 1: learned it hanger a sweater, he looks it's like a
- 21:00Speaker 1: cotton guy to me. I don't understand what that did. No,
- 21:02Speaker 1: you know, it's funny.
- 21:03Speaker 2: I know what you're saying because you were you were miked,
- 21:06Speaker 2: and you know, so you knew everything you were saying
- 21:08Speaker 2: was going out there. But you also, you know, one
- 21:10Speaker 2: of the things that happens that people I don't even
- 21:12Speaker 2: think realize when you're filming a show like this is
- 21:15Speaker 2: you're kind of in this little bubble, right, and so
- 21:18Speaker 2: you're having a conversation with someone and the only person
- 21:21Speaker 2: that need to understand what you're saying, why you're saying it,
- 21:24Speaker 2: or whatever is are the two of you, right, or
- 21:26Speaker 2: the or the three of you, whoever's in that conversation.
- 21:29Speaker 2: And when you got someone kind of easdropping in, I
- 21:31Speaker 2: would almost feel like they're scrutinizing what I say. So, man,
- 21:33Speaker 2: I better, I better make this an awesome, you know,
- 21:36Speaker 2: moment for everyone.
- 21:37Speaker 1: I would feel so much fudditional pressure too. I totally
- 21:39Speaker 1: get with just say it.
- 21:41Speaker 2: I mean, I can only imagine, you know, coming up
- 21:43Speaker 2: with something unique and different, you know, to say in
- 21:47Speaker 2: a moment when you're just sort of like floored by
- 21:49Speaker 2: the whole thing yourself. Too. It's like, I'm sure you
- 21:52Speaker 2: know you almost and I know how they do it,
- 21:53Speaker 2: you know, with the production side of things, where you
- 21:55Speaker 2: almost have to act like you're the one that plan
- 21:57Speaker 2: the date or you're the one that came up with
- 21:59Speaker 2: this idea for the day today today, today, My idea
- 22:02Speaker 2: is to take us to the top of the Eiffel
- 22:03Speaker 2: Tower and we're going to have dinner, right, And they'll
- 22:05Speaker 2: be like, oh my god, I chose you, Debbie, And
- 22:07Speaker 2: in fact, you were handed a card that said You're.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Taking Debbie to the top of the Eiffel Tower for dinner.
- 22:12Speaker 2: You know, You're like, great, okay, you know, And I
- 22:15Speaker 2: always thought that was a funny part too.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I mean that had to be interesting. I would imagine
- 22:19Speaker 1: acting like you've been there before, you know, when you
- 22:21Speaker 1: had you been to Paris before at all? Or was
- 22:24Speaker 1: that your first you know, the old school they say
- 22:27Speaker 1: backpacking through Europe? Yeah, two Europe. Yeah, it's one of you.
- 22:31Speaker 1: You know, got the train ticket and on ten bucks
- 22:33Speaker 1: a day, went from hospital to hospital. So yeah, I'd
- 22:37Speaker 1: been to Paris, but obviously not in this you know,
- 22:40Speaker 1: in this fashion.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Right, Okay, I have to put you on to these
- 22:51Speaker 3: leggings I've been obsessed with lately. They're from this brand
- 22:54Speaker 3: called Tona, and get this, the designer behind them also
- 22:59Speaker 3: created Lemon, so they know what they're doing. These leggings
- 23:04Speaker 3: are next level, think butterysoft, super flattering and very comfortable.
- 23:10Speaker 3: But they're also very supportive in the right places. So
- 23:14Speaker 3: I started wearing them when the kids and I go
- 23:16Speaker 3: out to play, and now I'm basically living in them
- 23:19Speaker 3: twenty four seven. And here's what makes them even better.
- 23:22Speaker 3: With every payer you buy, it helps fund a mental
- 23:27Speaker 3: health counseling session for a teen in need. Isn't that
- 23:31Speaker 3: so awesome? Tona is on a mission to end teen
- 23:34Speaker 3: suicide and self harm, which we think is so important
- 23:38Speaker 3: and so incredible of them. So we partnered with Tona
- 23:41Speaker 3: to give you twenty percent off your order and free shipping.
- 23:45Speaker 3: So head to tonaactive dot com that is tnaactive dot
- 23:50Speaker 3: com and use code iHeart for twenty percent off in
- 23:53Speaker 3: free shipping.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Back to the Adventures you go, And obviously I think
- 24:02Speaker 1: people understand now there's a huge production team. It's not
- 24:05Speaker 1: like you just show. It's not like you ride up
- 24:08Speaker 1: to the top of the Eiffel Tower and just have
- 24:10Speaker 1: a buffet of food there. Like, there's now a ton
- 24:14Speaker 1: of people that even we all sort of become friends
- 24:17Speaker 1: with them, and we know how much work they're putting in.
- 24:20Speaker 1: But the most fun that I had, ironically, they're like, hey, Travis,
- 24:26Speaker 1: what would be you know, what would be your ideal height?
- 24:30Speaker 1: And I said, you know, we've been doing all these
- 24:32Speaker 1: extravagant things. It's almost too much. And if I'm really
- 24:35Speaker 1: going to get to know some of these people, I'd
- 24:38Speaker 1: love to do a camping trip. Nice we did ten'mores
- 24:47Speaker 1: all that stuff, And I know it was probably rudimentary
- 24:50Speaker 1: compared to all the other really eccentric things we were doing,
- 24:54Speaker 1: but it was really cool because it was it was
- 24:56Speaker 1: actually you know, it was a concept. I was like,
- 24:59Speaker 1: this would make a lot of sense right now because
- 25:01Speaker 1: we're at a point in this process where I just
- 25:03Speaker 1: I really want to figure out what does this look
- 25:08Speaker 1: like without without all the glitz and glamor of yeah, right,
- 25:12Speaker 1: because you know, you can get confused and you're trying
- 25:14Speaker 1: to like figure everything time, trying to figure out, Okay,
- 25:17Speaker 1: what's this going to look like if I go back home?
- 25:20Speaker 1: And I think that was one of the coolest nights
- 25:23Speaker 1: I had, just because it was it was about a fire, slores,
- 25:26Speaker 1: a tent, stars, and just same conversations you would have
- 25:30Speaker 1: if you were out camping anywhere in the world. Yeah,
- 25:34Speaker 1: it just so happened. You know that there were a
- 25:36Speaker 1: few cameras there, sure, Yeah, I had some if you
- 25:40Speaker 1: know gab it.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Well, I think that's great that you even had the
- 25:43Speaker 2: wherewithal to make that call, you know what I mean,
- 25:45Speaker 2: because I think a lot of people in that moment
- 25:47Speaker 2: would be like, oh, I don't know, whatever you guys
- 25:49Speaker 2: think you know, and it's great that you put something
- 25:51Speaker 2: out there that meant something to you, because you're right, man, you.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Can't get super.
- 25:57Speaker 2: I mean, like, like I said, we're in this little
- 25:58Speaker 2: bubble when you're doing it, and you can get kind
- 26:01Speaker 2: of almost like run down in these moments where you're like, oh,
- 26:04Speaker 2: here we are in Gaye Perry. Here I am taking
- 26:07Speaker 2: a helicopter into a volcano. It's like I remember saying
- 26:09Speaker 2: on my season at a Rose ceremony, I really thought.
- 26:12Speaker 1: I honestly thought that they were going to use it.
- 26:14Speaker 1: So it was funny.
- 26:15Speaker 2: And I remember saying, you know, I got my roast,
- 26:17Speaker 2: and I'm like, you know, ladies, before we get started,
- 26:18Speaker 2: I just want to say, this is no prize. This
- 26:22Speaker 2: is a lot of work here, right, And you know,
- 26:25Speaker 2: those of you who are getting set home tonight, you're welcome.
- 26:28Speaker 2: And for those of you are estate, I'm from Detroit, man,
- 26:31Speaker 2: And it's part that it's party that I tell you guys,
- 26:34Speaker 2: we don't take volcano volcano tours and helicopters in Detroit.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Okay, that's not what we're doing there. We do a
- 26:39Speaker 1: bunch of fun stuff, but that ain't it.
- 26:41Speaker 2: And hopefully you know, someone will like the stuff I like,
- 26:45Speaker 2: you know, and so I love that you and I
- 26:47Speaker 2: said all that, and I'm like, this is gold Man,
- 26:49Speaker 2: this is good.
- 26:50Speaker 1: They're going to use it for sure.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Never made the show, and you know, so I'm glad
- 26:54Speaker 2: that you put your foot down a little bit.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Was like, hey, why don't we do something that I
- 26:57Speaker 1: want to do?
- 26:58Speaker 2: And you know, and it's interesting too because so I
- 27:02Speaker 2: didn't get engaged on my season. And I don't know
- 27:06Speaker 2: if people remember this or not, but you didn't get
- 27:07Speaker 2: engaged on your season either, right, And I mean were
- 27:10Speaker 2: you kind of deep into the process and where you
- 27:13Speaker 2: kind of made a mental note like I don't think
- 27:16Speaker 2: I'm ready to marry these people or or was it
- 27:19Speaker 2: more like I think I want to continue because my
- 27:22Speaker 2: thing was more like I wanted to try dating away
- 27:25Speaker 2: from all of that, you know, because I had been,
- 27:27Speaker 2: you know, in a long term relationship before and I
- 27:29Speaker 2: didn't want to be the guy that was just racking
- 27:32Speaker 2: up weddings like ross from friends, you know. I wanted
- 27:34Speaker 2: to be somebody who was trying to be mindful. Where
- 27:37Speaker 2: were you at with that decision at that time? Like
- 27:40Speaker 2: if you can recall and did the producers. When they
- 27:42Speaker 2: found out you weren't going to propose, they try to
- 27:44Speaker 2: change your mind.
- 27:45Speaker 1: I think I think everyone knew that I was going
- 27:48Speaker 1: into this authentically, and I highly doubted that I was
- 27:53Speaker 1: going to come to the end of the experience and
- 27:55Speaker 1: be engaged. Obviously I didn't. But I think one of
- 27:58Speaker 1: the things that I have with and I'm just gonna
- 28:02Speaker 1: speak frankly, is I think people feel external pressure on
- 28:07Speaker 1: the show to get engaged. And I think it's perfectly
- 28:11Speaker 1: fine and appropriate to get engaged, but only to do
- 28:14Speaker 1: so if that's the right thing for you, right to
- 28:19Speaker 1: your point. You know, it's one thing. It's one thing
- 28:23Speaker 1: to be going on all these dates, particularly in my season,
- 28:27Speaker 1: where you're all over Europe and you're just doing all
- 28:29Speaker 1: these wonderful things, and another party is like, Okay, here's
- 28:32Speaker 1: the reality. I'm an the Yard doc on this particular night.
- 28:38Speaker 1: There's a more than likely chance I'm not even going
- 28:40Speaker 1: to be home and right I'm probably gonna have blood
- 28:43Speaker 1: on my shoes. Yeah, there's not going to be you know,
- 28:47Speaker 1: s cargo waiting for you. What's gonna be right, We're
- 28:51Speaker 1: gonna throw my clothes in the in the washer and
- 28:55Speaker 1: you know, conk out and that's just the reality of
- 28:58Speaker 1: life is very different. I think I think it's important,
- 29:03Speaker 1: at least for me, it was important to not forget
- 29:06Speaker 1: that there's this real life back in the States and
- 29:10Speaker 1: not to or not to confuse the two. And I again, look,
- 29:16Speaker 1: there was always a chance, right if you meet the one,
- 29:20Speaker 1: and you know, it doesn't matter whether you're on the
- 29:23Speaker 1: Bachelor or the Bachelorette, whether you're on TV, you're at
- 29:26Speaker 1: the coffee shop. And I think my biggest takeaway and
- 29:29Speaker 1: the older I've gotten, I've always said this. I think
- 29:31Speaker 1: when it comes to meeting someone, it's back to the
- 29:35Speaker 1: Helen Keller quote. Life is either during an adventure or nothing.
- 29:38Speaker 1: You've got to put yourself out there. But the one
- 29:41Speaker 1: thing cannot do is ver put pressure on your cell
- 29:46Speaker 1: because adding that pressure, I think makes it more difficult.
- 29:49Speaker 1: And if you feel like, oh my gosh, I've got
- 29:52Speaker 1: to if you're really this is my home opinion, if
- 29:56Speaker 1: you're really that confused between four different people, and I
- 30:00Speaker 1: I can't just I'm just wanted to give a tube.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I think it's probably best to not get engaged. The
- 30:06Speaker 1: answer is no one. Yeah, well, i'd agree with you
- 30:09Speaker 1: on that one man. Whenever people come down to the end,
- 30:11Speaker 1: I mean, and they you know, I think back in
- 30:13Speaker 1: the day, especially, you know, when everyone used the word
- 30:16Speaker 1: amazing five thousand times because we were repeating what the
- 30:18Speaker 1: producers would say to us. You know, you know, repeat
- 30:21Speaker 1: what I say to you in my question so that
- 30:23Speaker 1: you know the audience at home knows it. Today I
- 30:25Speaker 1: had an amazing day with Debbie, Rnda and Ronda.
- 30:27Speaker 2: It was amazing, right, And I think that a lot
- 30:29Speaker 2: of times they'll say, you know, I'm so confused, I
- 30:32Speaker 2: you know, and I get it. I get being confused
- 30:35Speaker 2: because I mean, you know, let's not kill ourselves. They're
- 30:37Speaker 2: not casting any slouches on this show, right. Everybody on
- 30:40Speaker 2: the show's in alpha. You know, they've always been the
- 30:43Speaker 2: one who achieves, the captain of the chier leading team,
- 30:46Speaker 2: the president of the class, you know, the whole bet.
- 30:49Speaker 1: But but they don't.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Ever ask, you know, before they go on the show,
- 30:53Speaker 2: like you know, well they I guess they do ask, you.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Know, are you ready to get married?
- 30:56Speaker 2: And the answer is always yes, right, But the real
- 30:59Speaker 2: question should be, you know, are you ready to go
- 31:00Speaker 2: through a period of the biggest uncertainty of your life
- 31:04Speaker 2: and at the end, have someone and be able to
- 31:06Speaker 2: watch this back at home, by the way, have someone
- 31:09Speaker 2: basically say any of the exact same stuff he's saying
- 31:11Speaker 2: to you. Got a job to do, right, He's got
- 31:13Speaker 2: to get this show to a certain pay where everyone's
- 31:15Speaker 2: up in the air and wonder what's going on.
- 31:17Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden he gives you the ring. Right.
- 31:19Speaker 1: So we've had seasons where they've said I love you
- 31:21Speaker 1: to more than one woman. We've had seasons where they've promised.
- 31:26Speaker 2: That this more than one woman instead of the last
- 31:29Speaker 2: one's standing and getting the engagement ring. I thought, I
- 31:32Speaker 2: really did think when I was on the season, as
- 31:35Speaker 2: on my season, I thought I was doing the right thing,
- 31:38Speaker 2: not proposing and trying to figure out where things would
- 31:42Speaker 2: go with the cameras off. That it wasn't you know,
- 31:44Speaker 2: it wasn't like I thought that I was being I
- 31:47Speaker 2: was trying to be as genuine as I could be
- 31:49Speaker 2: with that decision, because I didn't want to mess anybody's
- 31:51Speaker 2: life up, you know, by taking away that first in
- 31:54Speaker 2: their life of an engagement when I wasn't sure where
- 31:58Speaker 2: my head was at, you know, and it wasn't what
- 32:00Speaker 2: I did know was I wasn't ready to get engaged.
- 32:02Speaker 1: That was the one thing I did know.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Right and I but I was also kind of like,
- 32:06Speaker 2: I like both of these girls, but you know which
- 32:08Speaker 2: one do I think I have the best chance of
- 32:10Speaker 2: having a long term relationship.
- 32:11Speaker 1: I'm going to choose this one, but I'm not ready
- 32:13Speaker 1: to get engaged.
- 32:14Speaker 2: And so, I mean, I always thought that was just
- 32:16Speaker 2: such a noble move, you know, and then you get
- 32:18Speaker 2: so much backlash after you don't propose. People are just
- 32:21Speaker 2: beside themselves with their opinions. Did you Did you face
- 32:23Speaker 2: any of the backlash after the show?
- 32:25Speaker 1: I don't. I don't think so. I at the same time,
- 32:28Speaker 1: I wasn't really paying attention to it. I think that
- 32:31Speaker 1: gets back to the only thing you can do is
- 32:35Speaker 1: have your own individual, authentic experience, be true to yourself,
- 32:38Speaker 1: be true to also when you're staying true to the
- 32:41Speaker 1: people on the show with you, so that you get
- 32:44Speaker 1: if you're you know, I can't sit here and say
- 32:47Speaker 1: to you that if I did the Bachelor experience over again,
- 32:53Speaker 1: which obviously I'm not going to because I'm married, and
- 32:56Speaker 1: I wouldn't get me. It's it's not a you know,
- 33:00Speaker 1: do you get engaged. Will you get engaged? It's if
- 33:04Speaker 1: you meet the person on the show that you genuinely
- 33:08Speaker 1: feel like you want to get married to. I think
- 33:10Speaker 1: it is perfectly appropriate to get engaged where I have
- 33:14Speaker 1: excused back to what you just said. And I'm not
- 33:16Speaker 1: going to name names, but you know, there are times
- 33:19Speaker 1: for my wife and I will tune into the show
- 33:21Speaker 1: and I see someone like literally telling four or five
- 33:24Speaker 1: people in a row how much they love them. They've
- 33:26Speaker 1: never loved like this, And ONCET day it's like, I
- 33:29Speaker 1: love you so much. I love it, and you're like,
- 33:33Speaker 1: this is also to air. Yeah, you do realize you
- 33:36Speaker 1: got to go home right and see your friends and family.
- 33:39Speaker 1: No one ever going to believe you ever again. And
- 33:41Speaker 1: when you love you love them because you know it's
- 33:46Speaker 1: I mean, throwing that word out that cumfortably that often.
- 33:50Speaker 1: That's like to me, that is less authentic, and getting
- 33:54Speaker 1: engaged at the end of that is almost a disservice
- 33:57Speaker 1: as opposed to I actually think it's really great when
- 34:02Speaker 1: and I feel like, again, it's not like I'm sitting
- 34:05Speaker 1: there pouring over every episode of every season, but when
- 34:07Speaker 1: I've tuned in with my wife and you see the authenticity,
- 34:12Speaker 1: and sometimes it's literally as simple as like, you know
- 34:14Speaker 1: what I had to I had to send so and
- 34:17Speaker 1: so home because like I was so in love with
- 34:21Speaker 1: whoever they end up choosing it, it's just like right
- 34:23Speaker 1: for this other person to play this game anymore. And
- 34:28Speaker 1: I think, yeah, I think that is like not only
- 34:31Speaker 1: authentic and awesome, but it like ironically is TV gold too,
- 34:35Speaker 1: because it's just like this person found their other person
- 34:40Speaker 1: and done playing the game, and they've been honest about it,
- 34:43Speaker 1: and quite frankly, that's what this is. The whole journey's about.
- 34:46Speaker 1: It's not necessarily being on to the last three or
- 34:49Speaker 1: four and be like oh Anie meanie mining bo. And
- 34:52Speaker 1: I think the best seasons are the ones where two people,
- 34:56Speaker 1: whether they get engaged or not, but two people meet
- 35:00Speaker 1: that really have a connection and it becomes obvious at
- 35:03Speaker 1: the very end like that. That's it. The ones where yeah,
- 35:08Speaker 1: where you're like, how like I'm sorry, dude, but you
- 35:12Speaker 1: can't love seven people at once that you like it's
- 35:16Speaker 1: just not possible. Well, you know, it's funny, I think too.
- 35:19Speaker 2: I think, like to what you're saying, people making that
- 35:21Speaker 2: kind of a decision where they're like, like you said,
- 35:24Speaker 2: I'm sending this one home because I'm just so way
- 35:26Speaker 2: to this one that it's not fair to do this anymore.
- 35:29Speaker 2: I love that because back in I think back in
- 35:30Speaker 2: the early years, they kind of held you to that
- 35:32Speaker 2: script more. And now when people kind of go off,
- 35:35Speaker 2: I feel like it really legitimizes the show too, like
- 35:38Speaker 2: it helps the show, right, like the show actually, I
- 35:40Speaker 2: think I think the producers finally realized to what your
- 35:43Speaker 2: point is was, like, man, this is actually starting to
- 35:45Speaker 2: get like a real relational response as opposed to a
- 35:49Speaker 2: TV show response. That's way better. People actually get it
- 35:52Speaker 2: like that. You can't really find love from this thing, right,
- 35:55Speaker 2: I didn't, You didn't. But I also think of it
- 35:57Speaker 2: like from the butterfly effect, Like if I hadn't done it,
- 36:00Speaker 2: maybe I wouldn't have met my wife, we wouldn't have
- 36:01Speaker 2: our two kids now, right, because things right, Everything happens.
- 36:05Speaker 1: For a reason. I'm introduced to my wife by a
- 36:08Speaker 1: mutual friend named Chris Stramberg. Chris Cupcake was on the Bachelorette.
- 36:14Speaker 1: He is a dentist. He came on The Doctors as
- 36:17Speaker 1: a guest lived in Nashville. I got to be friends
- 36:21Speaker 1: with Chris I'm in Nashville, Chris, and Chris is like,
- 36:23Speaker 1: you know what I asked when I think you should
- 36:25Speaker 1: meet I would never have met my wife if I
- 36:28Speaker 1: wasn't on the Bachelor. There you go. Yeah, you're a
- 36:30Speaker 1: direct connect for that.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Well done. Now I do have a question about that.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Did you fall in love with your wife because of
- 36:37Speaker 2: your experience in Paris? And her name was Paris? Just
- 36:39Speaker 2: got to put it out that, of course the reason I.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Found love in Paris? You did, indeed, my Fred all right,
- 36:58Speaker 1: So one I wanted to right now.
- 37:00Speaker 2: This is going to be fun because I also realized
- 37:04Speaker 2: that I am I'm getting older, and as I get older,
- 37:07Speaker 2: I need medical advice. So I have some questions I
- 37:11Speaker 2: want to ask you. I want to rapid fire with you.
- 37:14Speaker 2: I mean, this is nothing you're not used to from
- 37:16Speaker 2: your express Bob. Internal hemorrhoids are painless. External hemorhoids are
- 37:19Speaker 2: the ones that cause pain. So i'd check question. Finally, Okay,
- 37:24Speaker 2: thank you. I didn't have to say it. I really
- 37:25Speaker 2: appreciate that was my private text message to you earlier,
- 37:28Speaker 2: but I appreciate you asking that one.
- 37:30Speaker 1: All right.
- 37:32Speaker 2: One of the things that drives me crazy about I
- 37:36Speaker 2: don't even know. I guess it would be the FDA
- 37:38Speaker 2: or the nutrition stuff. Is like you'll hear everything's bad
- 37:41Speaker 2: for you. Then you'll hear, okay, now it's good for
- 37:42Speaker 2: you egg yolks, right, Like they'll say, oh, yeah, you
- 37:45Speaker 2: know you egg whites only, and now all of a sudden,
- 37:46Speaker 2: egg yolks are good for you. Red meat, red meat's
- 37:49Speaker 2: bad for you, don't eat it. Now, it's like red
- 37:50Speaker 2: meat's good for you. What do you think about all
- 37:52Speaker 2: that kind of stuff? Like, I know this is this
- 37:54Speaker 2: isn't even meant to be funny. This is really meant
- 37:55Speaker 2: to be more informational because I appreciate your opinion on
- 37:58Speaker 2: this stuff, and I loved watching when you.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Around the doctors. So I may be a little bit
- 38:02Speaker 1: more emphatic in this than most people. But my theory
- 38:06Speaker 1: is always like, all right, so how was this mais
- 38:09Speaker 1: made or raised? So for instance, let's use gummy bears, right,
- 38:14Speaker 1: So I buy my kids gummy bears that have nothing
- 38:17Speaker 1: but fruit in them. They're great eggs. So if if
- 38:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna eat a highly nutritious egg where you know
- 38:26Speaker 1: the in the like laid, that egg has this like
- 38:30Speaker 1: decent life eating good food, Like that's going to be
- 38:33Speaker 1: a higher quality egg. Yep, it's like red meat. You know,
- 38:37Speaker 1: I come from a family of farmers in Nebraska, and
- 38:40Speaker 1: I'll be honest with you. On their farm, the red meat,
- 38:44Speaker 1: the animals were conventionally raised fed corn primarily high high
- 38:50Speaker 1: carb diets and like even put on antibiox to fatten
- 38:53Speaker 1: them all. Like it is like you eat that red meat,
- 38:57Speaker 1: you're going to get some of the after effects of
- 38:59Speaker 1: all of that as opposed to you know, brass fed
- 39:04Speaker 1: free rage. And again, my theory has always been less
- 39:08Speaker 1: is more, higher quality is better. And at the end
- 39:11Speaker 1: of the day, like for things that I'm a big guy, right,
- 39:15Speaker 1: so I need to eat enough calories to get through
- 39:17Speaker 1: the day. Like my go tos are always things like
- 39:21Speaker 1: nuts and beans and the things that are quite frankly
- 39:26Speaker 1: going to fill me up without filling me out. But
- 39:28Speaker 1: when it comes out eggs, you know, we went I
- 39:32Speaker 1: went to medical school. That was the phase of don't
- 39:35Speaker 1: eat anything with fat and it don't eat anything with cholesterol.
- 39:39Speaker 1: But now I eat probably two eggs a day. Yeah,
- 39:44Speaker 1: and for me it's because you're fifty four, right, I'm
- 39:47Speaker 1: fifty four. Yeah, Well I'm fifty three and at our
- 39:49Speaker 1: age once you get past fifty, like, we've got to
- 39:51Speaker 1: get that proch more so than we do when we're younger.
- 39:55Speaker 1: And it's a great protein other nutrients. So absolutely, red meats.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Another example where you know, I grew up eating red
- 40:03Speaker 1: meat every meal because again my family's background, and I
- 40:07Speaker 1: got so sick of it. I was honestly just like,
- 40:09Speaker 1: oh my god, I don't want to eat any more
- 40:12Speaker 1: red meat. So I went through a phase where I
- 40:14Speaker 1: pretty much cut out red meat, was eating you know,
- 40:17Speaker 1: white meat, fish, things like that. Now, again, I'm in
- 40:21Speaker 1: my fifties, and I appreciate when I eat a good
- 40:24Speaker 1: piece of red meat, oh that I'm getting nutrients that
- 40:29Speaker 1: I may not otherwise get. I don't do it every meal,
- 40:32Speaker 1: and I'm also you like, if I'm going to eat
- 40:35Speaker 1: a piece of red meat, I would rather do it
- 40:38Speaker 1: less frequently and get a really good filet or something
- 40:42Speaker 1: like that. Yeah. A great example is just coming back
- 40:45Speaker 1: from Colorado. One of the things I love when I'm
- 40:47Speaker 1: out in Colorado is you know, wherever you go, you
- 40:49Speaker 1: can always find grass fed beef on the Mayia. Yeah,
- 40:52Speaker 1: I love it too. I love it out there. That's
- 40:55Speaker 1: why Ben Haygen looks so damn good. All he does
- 40:57Speaker 1: is sit there and eat all this grass bed stuff,
- 40:59Speaker 1: you know. But anyway, I was that was the roundabout
- 41:02Speaker 1: way of saying that. I think that rules tend to
- 41:07Speaker 1: create problems when it's like when we just chastise entire
- 41:11Speaker 1: food groups because same thing. Look, there are people out
- 41:14Speaker 1: there who will tell you never eat a vegetable and
- 41:17Speaker 1: the only thing red meat. Yeah, I don't think in
- 41:20Speaker 1: life is balance balance, And it is okay too, Like
- 41:24Speaker 1: if you're gonna go with a cappuccino and all, man,
- 41:26Speaker 1: maybe I'm too evil. I can't help them. But I'm
- 41:28Speaker 1: fifty three. I've got family history of things like diabetes.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I've got to like watch out for everything from cholesterol,
- 41:35Speaker 1: et cetera. Like I will all say, okay, cappuccino always
- 41:38Speaker 1: like hole, No, Like, well, is it this is anal?
- 41:43Speaker 1: Is it organic? Yeah? No, there's the profile of that
- 41:47Speaker 1: health wise is very different, right, you know. It's again
- 41:52Speaker 1: that's just part of where my brain has developed over
- 41:56Speaker 1: the years. And I've seen how much food can play
- 41:58Speaker 1: a role. And uh, overall all this, I'm sure you've
- 42:02Speaker 1: seen a lot too.
- 42:03Speaker 2: You've seen a lot of the worst sides of that
- 42:06Speaker 2: stuff in your practice over the years too. I'm sure
- 42:08Speaker 2: even before you know, before you were even doing the
- 42:11Speaker 2: TV stuff where I mean, I remember watching one episode
- 42:13Speaker 2: of The Doctors where you were talking about obesity. You're
- 42:16Speaker 2: talking about you know, in that all stem from the
- 42:18Speaker 2: food that they were eating, and I honestly it made
- 42:22Speaker 2: me think about this when I was thinking about this today,
- 42:24Speaker 2: was what about the big thing going on right now
- 42:26Speaker 2: with like such easy access to like ozembic and wag
- 42:32Speaker 2: I know, the wazoo or whatever they're called, Like there's
- 42:33Speaker 2: a bunch of names for them now, these GLP ones.
- 42:37Speaker 2: I mean, I see it on my side of things,
- 42:39Speaker 2: which is like the insurance side of things, I see
- 42:41Speaker 2: that there's you know, so many more claims now like
- 42:43Speaker 2: gastrointestno claims, things of that nature. And I'm curious about
- 42:46Speaker 2: your thoughts on that. I mean, part of me is like, hey,
- 42:49Speaker 2: it's great that people who are obese and neat assistance
- 42:53Speaker 2: are getting it right, but you know, I'm not sure
- 42:57Speaker 2: how great it is for people who don't need that
- 42:58Speaker 2: assistance and just needed have died an exercise, But they're
- 43:01Speaker 2: skipping that step and they're going straight to the to
- 43:03Speaker 2: the shots of the pills.
- 43:05Speaker 1: You know, what are your thoughts on that kind of
- 43:06Speaker 1: stuff too? I agree, I agree with you. I think
- 43:09Speaker 1: there is a population out there that greatly benefits from
- 43:12Speaker 1: these medications, and I think they can be life savers.
- 43:14Speaker 1: I think I also have friends who literally are my age,
- 43:20Speaker 1: who are not diabetic, they're not even severely overweight, and
- 43:27Speaker 1: yet they want to take this little short cut, and
- 43:30Speaker 1: I'm like, come on right, this is ridiculous, this is
- 43:35Speaker 1: this is not what these are designed for. I think
- 43:38Speaker 1: the shortcut mentality, if anything, it's going to give you
- 43:42Speaker 1: a short cut. In my humble opinion, to the grave.
- 43:45Speaker 1: I think every life gets back to balance. But if
- 43:48Speaker 1: you want to live a long life, even more than exercise,
- 43:52Speaker 1: what you eat is number one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Yes,
- 43:57Speaker 1: exercise and strength training is actually as you get older,
- 44:00Speaker 1: is hugely important because lean muscle mass, the more you
- 44:05Speaker 1: have of it, honestly, the more your body is going
- 44:08Speaker 1: to just do a great job of internally burning calories.
- 44:10Speaker 1: But the problem with with these drugs, and my humble opinion,
- 44:14Speaker 1: is when the wrong people start taking them, Like if
- 44:17Speaker 1: I started taking it right now, it's realistically going to
- 44:21Speaker 1: help me lose some weight, but there's also a very
- 44:24Speaker 1: good chance that it's going to slightly shift my profile
- 44:28Speaker 1: where I might lose the lean muscle mass, right, which
- 44:32Speaker 1: but it weighs more, so you lose Yeah, yeah, you're
- 44:35Speaker 1: losing weight, but if you're losing lean muscle mass, that
- 44:40Speaker 1: is not a good thing. So if you're you're obese
- 44:43Speaker 1: and you need this to help you improve your LUCAS
- 44:49Speaker 1: levels and lose weight and get healthier, it's a great
- 44:52Speaker 1: medicine and a great class. Yeah, but what I've seen
- 44:57Speaker 1: in my career in Western medicine is i'll just call
- 45:01Speaker 1: it the abuse of medications within the system, and it's
- 45:07Speaker 1: augmented by you know, patients don't feel like they're getting
- 45:11Speaker 1: taken care of if you don't give them a medicine. Yeah,
- 45:13Speaker 1: it's ironic because here I have the power to prescribe
- 45:18Speaker 1: and I'll be completely transparent. A couple of years ago,
- 45:21Speaker 1: I had to start taking a medication for blood pressure
- 45:22Speaker 1: because I have familiar hy pretension and I just I
- 45:25Speaker 1: need it otherwise I'm and so again, these can be
- 45:28Speaker 1: life savers, but you know, taking more medicines is never
- 45:33Speaker 1: going to be the answer at the end of the day.
- 45:38Speaker 1: If you can commit to if you can simplify your
- 45:42Speaker 1: diet to for the most part eating those fluids, then
- 45:48Speaker 1: we know help you live longer. Yeah, that's the way
- 45:52Speaker 1: to do it. And it's like da out and it's
- 45:55Speaker 1: if you want to look as good as Bob Guiney,
- 45:57Speaker 1: that's what you do. Play a lot of golf and
- 46:00Speaker 1: drink a lot of vodka. That's what you do.
- 46:02Speaker 2: That's about it. That's my regiment as of late. I actually,
- 46:15Speaker 2: you know, I love I love hearing you say that,
- 46:17Speaker 2: because I went. I think I may have told you
- 46:21Speaker 2: this before, but I went and got my first blood
- 46:23Speaker 2: panel done at fifty two. I hadn't even done it before.
- 46:28Speaker 2: I mean maybe i'd done it years past that I
- 46:30Speaker 2: don't remember it. And my cholesterol and I was always
- 46:33Speaker 2: and my wife will tell you this, I would always go, well,
- 46:36Speaker 2: I'm not my stuff's great. You know, I had no idea.
- 46:39Speaker 2: I didn't have any health conditions, but I do have
- 46:41Speaker 2: family history of heart disease, diabetes, things of that nature.
- 46:44Speaker 2: And so I went got a blood panel done and
- 46:47Speaker 2: it came back with my cholesterol, my bad cholesterol with
- 46:50Speaker 2: sky hot. Now I know that some people have an
- 46:52Speaker 2: opinion about that because the numbers shift, you know, according
- 46:55Speaker 2: to that. But the one thing I did not want
- 46:57Speaker 2: to do was be put out a statin. Right, So
- 46:58Speaker 2: I'm like, Okay, talking to my doctor. I'm like, I
- 47:01Speaker 2: don't want to do that. It's like, why am I?
- 47:02Speaker 2: Because I've heard that once you do it, you never
- 47:05Speaker 2: can come off of that. And I don't want to
- 47:06Speaker 2: be on anything for the rest of my life. And
- 47:08Speaker 2: I'm like, so what can I do. He's like, he's
- 47:11Speaker 2: a buddy. He's like, yeah, I lose like fifteen twenty pounds.
- 47:14Speaker 2: You do that, it might help your cholesterol at least
- 47:18Speaker 2: from that standpoint. If you're not, you know, it might
- 47:21Speaker 2: help you lose weight, might may help you your other panels.
- 47:24Speaker 2: And then you got to like you said, we got
- 47:25Speaker 2: to watch what you eat, you know. I'm like, well,
- 47:27Speaker 2: I'm eating a lot of salmon. I'm eating a lot
- 47:29Speaker 2: of chicken. He's like, if it's not if it's farm
- 47:31Speaker 2: raised salmon, then don't eat it, right, He's like, if
- 47:35Speaker 2: it's this, He's like, because you don't know what goes
- 47:37Speaker 2: into it. If it's this and this and this, and
- 47:39Speaker 2: it was very similar to what you just said. He's like,
- 47:41Speaker 2: you know, if it's free range, if it's this, then
- 47:44Speaker 2: you can feel comfortable eating it.
- 47:45Speaker 1: But he was a big believer of that.
- 47:47Speaker 2: He was like, you put margarine out on your porch,
- 47:51Speaker 2: and you put butter out on your porch, and watch
- 47:54Speaker 2: that there are no flies or bugs in the margarine.
- 47:57Speaker 1: He's like, they all go to the butter because they
- 47:59Speaker 1: know that's the real stuff and this is the fake stuff. Right.
- 48:02Speaker 2: So he's like, and it was kind of an interesting
- 48:04Speaker 2: way to think about it. And you know, I really
- 48:06Speaker 2: did do that. I cut back a lot on what
- 48:08Speaker 2: I was drinking, but it was definitely one of those
- 48:10Speaker 2: things where it was like, you know, kind of tied
- 48:12Speaker 2: it to your point. I was like, it's ninety five
- 48:14Speaker 2: percent of what I put in my mouth and five
- 48:16Speaker 2: percent of what I'm doing on the bench.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Right.
- 48:18Speaker 2: It's like that's and I and I started realizing that
- 48:20Speaker 2: I kind of had it backwards all those years. I
- 48:22Speaker 2: thought I was working out so I could eat whatever
- 48:24Speaker 2: I want, when in.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Fact I needed to kind of do it the other
- 48:27Speaker 1: way around, right, I needed to eat what I should
- 48:29Speaker 1: and then you know, workout. So I looked the way
- 48:32Speaker 1: I want, you know, I think we've all kind of
- 48:34Speaker 1: gone through that metamorphosis, especially when you're younger. You know,
- 48:36Speaker 1: you're so focused on the vanity element of oh, you know,
- 48:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna do five sets of bench press here, and yeah,
- 48:43Speaker 1: I'm not even going to think about what I'm gonna
- 48:45Speaker 1: eat afterwards, And you know, you get to our age
- 48:47Speaker 1: and you're like, all right, if I can get if
- 48:49Speaker 1: I do one set of bench press and spend maybe
- 48:53Speaker 1: a few more minutes thinking about what I'm gonna eat,
- 48:55Speaker 1: that's probably the better payoff. By the way, well, I
- 48:58Speaker 1: have to say one thing for anyone listening, and we've
- 49:02Speaker 1: done this in our own lives, so much like you
- 49:06Speaker 1: covid hit, you have kids, ouver eats, you know, you
- 49:11Speaker 1: start hitting the easy button. I have to say that
- 49:14Speaker 1: one of the most important things is if you're eating out,
- 49:18Speaker 1: take the time to find out what oils they use.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Because I actually went from having really good cholesterol numbers
- 49:23Speaker 1: to mine skyrocketed over the last few years. And part
- 49:29Speaker 1: of that's because, like anyway, like most of my meals,
- 49:32Speaker 1: yes we eat at home, but you find yourself more
- 49:35Speaker 1: often than not, or more often than before, hitting that
- 49:39Speaker 1: easy button, and you may even be wordering something that
- 49:42Speaker 1: you think is sort of healthy, but if it's made
- 49:44Speaker 1: it really be oils like peanut oil, things like that. Yeah,
- 49:48Speaker 1: and so I think the biggest thing is just understanding,
- 49:51Speaker 1: Like for me, if a restaurant only used to say
- 49:53Speaker 1: avocado oil or olive oil, like that's a thumbs up.
- 49:57Speaker 1: And then also just pay attention because sometimes I notice
- 50:00Speaker 1: some of my favorite restaurants in Nashville, we'd eat it
- 50:02Speaker 1: and it was supposedly healthy, and I'd always feel after,
- 50:07Speaker 1: you know, and then you find out like maybe they're
- 50:09Speaker 1: using way too many oils. Maybe they're I'm not willing
- 50:13Speaker 1: at this stage in my life to sacrifice my long
- 50:15Speaker 1: term hell just because the restaurant chooses to you should
- 50:18Speaker 1: be oils as of oils that I know, I think
- 50:23Speaker 1: of all oil is a lubricant for my arteries, and
- 50:25Speaker 1: I think if some of the others is absolute standpaper
- 50:28Speaker 1: right like just cause you to stop. Yeah, totally you
- 50:31Speaker 1: and I you know, you get to this age where
- 50:33Speaker 1: you know, I had that atrial fibrillation episode a couple
- 50:36Speaker 1: of years ago. I've got like you, all of a sudden,
- 50:40Speaker 1: this is no longer about hey, this is what you
- 50:43Speaker 1: should do to be healthy. This is like, hey, this
- 50:45Speaker 1: is what I do because God's honest truth. Like, I
- 50:48Speaker 1: don't want to die of a heart attack tomorrow. Right,
- 50:51Speaker 1: It's quite possible if these little, small decisions, I call
- 50:56Speaker 1: them small decisions you make every day. But if you
- 50:59Speaker 1: make that same decision every single day. Let's say your
- 51:01Speaker 1: favorite restaurant uses really bad oils and you eat that
- 51:04Speaker 1: meal every day, that could be the thing that cuts
- 51:08Speaker 1: ten years off your life.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Like yeah, crazy for us. We got at our age,
- 51:12Speaker 2: we got young kids. It's like, that's the last thing.
- 51:15Speaker 2: I mean, I have no intention of not being there,
- 51:18Speaker 2: you know, for my boys' weddings, high school and college graduations.
- 51:22Speaker 2: You know, granted, I'm gonna be the dude on the
- 51:23Speaker 2: walker that they're going go, oh, your grandpa is at
- 51:25Speaker 2: your tea ball game. Huh nice, But that's okay. I'm
- 51:27Speaker 2: prepared for that, prepared for people talking smack. But you know,
- 51:30Speaker 2: I want to make sure I'm there, you know, so
- 51:33Speaker 2: for the long run. And that yeah, to your point,
- 51:35Speaker 2: I mean that's when I started making different decisions, right,
- 51:38Speaker 2: Like you said, small decisions that you make every day,
- 51:41Speaker 2: but it really is a decision that can change things.
- 51:44Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I loved it so well. Amen, I
- 51:47Speaker 2: love having you on the show.
- 51:48Speaker 1: Man.
- 51:49Speaker 2: I can't wait. Next time I'm in Nashville. I'm calling
- 51:52Speaker 2: you so we can hang out because I want that.
- 51:54Speaker 2: I want to spend some time with you and get
- 51:57Speaker 2: to know Paris. And you have golf courses and we
- 51:59Speaker 2: have vodka here, so we're good to go. These are
- 52:01Speaker 2: things I do, These are my things.
- 52:03Speaker 1: All right. I love it, man, Thank you. It will
- 52:06Speaker 1: definitely make sure we do a last last question of
- 52:08Speaker 1: my doctor thing today. Uh, were you a Gray's Anatomy
- 52:12Speaker 1: guy or an er guy? What was your show? I'm
- 52:14Speaker 1: more r I mean it's yeah. Would you say it's
- 52:18Speaker 1: more accurate? Was it er more accurate too? Like to depictions?
- 52:21Speaker 1: Are you know? I didn't know at the time because
- 52:24Speaker 1: I wasn't yet an r wctor. But one of the
- 52:25Speaker 1: things that they do in that show, or did in
- 52:28Speaker 1: that show, is they tried to make it as accurate
- 52:30Speaker 1: as possible, which is so cool. You think that half
- 52:34Speaker 1: the time you're in the hospital, you're having sex in
- 52:35Speaker 1: the call room, right, never done that? Like when I've
- 52:40Speaker 1: been in the hospital, I'm like working, it's not You're right, yes,
- 52:43Speaker 1: it happens, But what dr what's cool about that show
- 52:47Speaker 1: is and I love this about television. The one thing
- 52:51Speaker 1: I love about television is like, if you TV in
- 52:53Speaker 1: the right way, can really like bring things to life
- 52:57Speaker 1: like that, the chaos that you feel when you I
- 53:00Speaker 1: kind of fell in love with it. Yeah, and atual
- 53:03Speaker 1: reality of being in the ER, you fall in love
- 53:06Speaker 1: with it because the adrenaline of it all. The last
- 53:09Speaker 1: thing you ever feel is boor You're just like, right, oh,
- 53:12Speaker 1: vote here, here, here you and then yeah, ten hours later,
- 53:16Speaker 1: your bladder's completely full and you're like, oh my god,
- 53:19Speaker 1: what just happened was Yeah, it was something. And you know,
- 53:24Speaker 1: you get to the end of watching an hour of
- 53:26Speaker 1: ER and I'm sure a lot of people listening problemly
- 53:29Speaker 1: they may not even remember, but you get to the
- 53:31Speaker 1: end of an hour of watching that show and you're like, wow,
- 53:34Speaker 1: I'm exhausted, I'm tired, I need to get I'm spent.
- 53:38Speaker 2: Well, now there's the Pit, right. Noah Wiley came out
- 53:40Speaker 2: with the show The Pit. Have you watched that one?
- 53:43Speaker 1: I watched one episode. I want to watch the rest,
- 53:45Speaker 1: but my wife, My wife literally said, why do you
- 53:50Speaker 1: want to watch this? This is just what you do
- 53:52Speaker 1: at work? And I'm like, well, I'm bringing it. Well,
- 53:56Speaker 1: now they're doing it. And so now she comes back
- 53:59Speaker 1: to me a few weeks after we watch the first
- 54:01Speaker 1: she's like, oh, I read the reviews are great. We
- 54:03Speaker 1: should watch it. Like you've tried to talk to me
- 54:07Speaker 1: out of it. What do you thought we need to
- 54:08Speaker 1: talk about bears.
- 54:09Speaker 2: I'll watch it with hey Man, Well, if we should,
- 54:12Speaker 2: probably binge watch it together so.
- 54:13Speaker 1: We can be ready for our next interview. All right,
- 54:15Speaker 1: the next thing can be called the the og goes
- 54:19Speaker 1: into the Pit. There you go. I like it. E's
- 54:22Speaker 1: as good. This is good. Producers take note. Well, hey Man,
- 54:26Speaker 1: always a pleasure having you on.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Brother, Thank you so much for coming to the show,
- 54:30Speaker 2: and thanks for sharing what going on with your life.
- 54:32Speaker 1: I'm excited to hear about the stuff you're working on.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Maybe we can get into that next time, and and
- 54:38Speaker 2: hear about you know, the direction you're going with those
- 54:40Speaker 2: entrepreneurial ideas. But I'm sure they're going to be great
- 54:43Speaker 2: and hugely successful, because I just that's what I expect
- 54:45Speaker 2: from you, my friends. So keep up the good work
- 54:48Speaker 2: and keep it the good dad, and well, and this
- 54:50Speaker 2: is fingers crossed.
- 54:51Speaker 1: For both of us. That over the next few weeks
- 54:53Speaker 1: our kids start going to bed earlier. Amen, buddy, I'm
- 54:57Speaker 1: with you. I am with you. Cheers to you, brother,
- 54:59Speaker 1: Take are you tre Travis Doctor Travis Stork? God?
- 55:03Speaker 2: I love that guy, man, I swear to god, I
- 55:05Speaker 2: think he and I would just be the absolute best
- 55:06Speaker 2: of buddies if we lived close by. But we're gonna
- 55:09Speaker 2: figure it out when I go to Nashville next time.
- 55:11Speaker 2: So thank you all so much for listening in here
- 55:13Speaker 2: and watching almost famous OG podcasts. I am Bob Guiney,
- 55:17Speaker 2: of course without my faithful partner in crime, Trista Sutter.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Nay Wren, but thank you so much for listening.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Make sure you find the podcast anywhere you find podcasts,
- 55:27Speaker 2: and we'll see you next time.
