North Carolina’s grappling with a major Cyclosporiasis outbreak—718 cases since May, 24 hospitalized—with a sharp spike of 157 new cases and 8 more hospitalizations since July 21. While parsley and cilantro are commonly linked, some patients didn’t even eat them. Caused by a parasite spread via food or water, adults 55+ (264 cases) and 19-54 (447 cases) are most affected.
