Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York.
- 0:03Speaker 2: It's the Mark some Own show on seven to ten.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Wor well, it's the day before election day. We'll get
- 0:11Speaker 1: you all the latest on the election in just a second.
- 0:14Speaker 1: We'll also get to we'll get to the World Series,
- 0:17Speaker 1: we'll get to the marathon, and a whole lot more.
- 0:20Speaker 1: It's a tough day to day, not just to the election,
- 0:23Speaker 1: but we're on standard time, no more daylight saving time.
- 0:27Speaker 1: It was brutal yesterday dark at five o'clock. It was
- 0:31Speaker 1: really strange. And there's all sorts of all these studies here,
- 0:38Speaker 1: all kinds of studies, actual medical group studies that daylight
- 0:43Speaker 1: saving time takes a toll on your health in all
- 0:45Speaker 1: sorts of ways, disruptures circadian rhythm and all that. So
- 0:49Speaker 1: it takes a little getting used to it. And that
- 0:51Speaker 1: getting dark at five o'clock all the more reason we
- 0:55Speaker 1: got to stop with this daylight saving time. Now there
- 0:57Speaker 1: is a bill to get rid of daylight I mean
- 0:59Speaker 1: to get rid of standard time, just stay on daylight
- 1:02Speaker 1: saving time all year. It's the Sunshine Protection Act, and
- 1:06Speaker 1: it's been stalled in Congress for years and years and years.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Hopefully it gets passed at some point. So we'll get
- 1:15Speaker 1: to the mayoral race right now, let me call for
- 1:17Speaker 1: a second. Here you go, they're just getting choked up
- 1:21Speaker 1: about this mayoral race. So what do we know? Nothing?
- 1:26Speaker 1: Absolutely nothing. You've seen all these polls. They're not good polls.
- 1:30Speaker 1: They're pretty cheap, crummy poles, which is what you see
- 1:33Speaker 1: in public all the time. There's two kinds of polls.
- 1:35Speaker 1: There's the public polls, which are very inexpensive, they're not
- 1:39Speaker 1: very good, they're not very reliable. Then there's the highly accurate,
- 1:44Speaker 1: very expensive, private internal polls that campaigns do. But in
- 1:49Speaker 1: this mayoral race, none of the campaigns have done them,
- 1:52Speaker 1: so we don't have any access to real, real numbers. Now,
- 1:55Speaker 1: the other problem with the public polls, besides the fact
- 1:57Speaker 1: they're cheap, they just do a few hundred people. They
- 1:59Speaker 1: don't care carefully select them very often, they just rig
- 2:03Speaker 1: The metrics are all wrong. They oversample Democrats under sample Republicans.
- 2:08Speaker 1: You got the problem of nothing but cheap, crummy polls.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Then you got a couple of other problems. You got
- 2:13Speaker 1: Curtis tends to underpole all the time. So you got
- 2:18Speaker 1: that's one problem, Mam donnie. They think might be overpolling.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Cuomo is in a weird situation. He's not a major
- 2:24Speaker 1: party candidate, He's on some weird third party. It's gonna
- 2:30Speaker 1: be tough. And we also remember as a result of that,
- 2:32Speaker 1: Cuomo's place on the ballot is way down. If you
- 2:36Speaker 1: get the ballot, it's Mam Donnie Curtis. Those are the
- 2:39Speaker 1: two names at the top of the ballot. You got
- 2:41Speaker 1: to go eight spaces down to get to Cuomo. So
- 2:46Speaker 1: let's just go over all the numbers, though what we
- 2:48Speaker 1: do no one voter turnout is through the roof. It's
- 2:52Speaker 1: extraordinarily high voter turnout for the early voting, which ended yesterday.
- 2:59Speaker 1: There's no voting to early voting is over. The actual
- 3:03Speaker 1: election day is tomorrow. Make sure you get out and vote.
- 3:06Speaker 1: But in the early voting, seven hundred and thirty five
- 3:10Speaker 1: thousand turned out. Three quarters of a million people turned out,
- 3:15Speaker 1: close to a million. This is extraordinary. Normally you'd get
- 3:18Speaker 1: about two hundred thousand, that's really all you'd expect. This
- 3:22Speaker 1: has been the biggest turnout we've seen since I'm trying
- 3:27Speaker 1: to think it. Well, you got one point five million
- 3:31Speaker 1: in twenty twenty one, one point five million when Mark
- 3:34Speaker 1: Green was against Bloomberg. I remember that was right after
- 3:38Speaker 1: nine to eleven, so that was one thing. But no,
- 3:43Speaker 1: that was Guliani blom But so you got one point
- 3:45Speaker 1: five million back then. Twenty twenty one was the highest
- 3:51Speaker 1: big Apple turnout since the biggest ever was John Lindsay
- 3:54Speaker 1: nineteen sixty nine, two and a half million. We may
- 3:58Speaker 1: get there, you never know. But we're going to get
- 3:59Speaker 1: to two million easily, obviously, and we may get more
- 4:04Speaker 1: than that. So it's going to be huge, absolutely huge
- 4:07Speaker 1: to turnout. That makes the polls even more unreliable since
- 4:11Speaker 1: they're missing all of this stuff. People watching at the
- 4:14Speaker 1: polls say it's a lot of older people, a lot
- 4:16Speaker 1: of over fifty, a lot of over sixty that tends
- 4:19Speaker 1: not to go for Mom Donnie. But there's a lot
- 4:23Speaker 1: of younger people voting too. So one thing the polls
- 4:25Speaker 1: miss two things, the high turnout the extra people that
- 4:29Speaker 1: they didn't count on, and the other thing they miss
- 4:31Speaker 1: are the Mam Donni voters. It could be more than
- 4:33Speaker 1: we think that this is just a possibility. These the
- 4:36Speaker 1: polsters tend to look for likely voters, and Mom Donnie
- 4:40Speaker 1: is getting brand new first time voters that the polls
- 4:43Speaker 1: usually miss so we don't really know anything from these polls.
- 4:47Speaker 1: If you take the average of the polls, if you
- 4:51Speaker 1: go over all the polls, the best thing to do
- 4:53Speaker 1: is you put all the polls together, combine them into
- 4:56Speaker 1: one poll. That's what Real Clear Politics does. In the
- 5:00Speaker 1: Real Clear Politics average, which is the poll of all
- 5:03Speaker 1: the polls, it's Mamdani forty five percent, Cuomo thirty one percent,
- 5:11Speaker 1: Sliwa eighteen percent. But again Sliva tends to underpole, so
- 5:16Speaker 1: we'll see. There's been a lot of ads. You've been
- 5:18Speaker 1: bombarded for the last two days. The one thing that
- 5:21Speaker 1: was missing from this race. She got to drive Mamdani's
- 5:25Speaker 1: negatives up into the fifties. And that requires big money
- 5:29Speaker 1: from these super packs. Billionaires dumped a fortune into these
- 5:34Speaker 1: super packs. And it's not the campaigns. It's these superpacks
- 5:36Speaker 1: that run the ads attacking Mamdani day and night, bringing
- 5:41Speaker 1: up all the bad stuff about him, pointing out all
- 5:43Speaker 1: the dangers. You bombarred everybody with these ads, and that
- 5:47Speaker 1: drives his negatives way up, and that cost him the race. Well,
- 5:50Speaker 1: it didn't happen this time. It started to happen yesterday.
- 5:53Speaker 1: But yesterday's a little too late. It should have been
- 5:56Speaker 1: going on for weeks. The big donors that normally contribute
- 5:59Speaker 1: to this were afraid of offending Mom Donnie, so they
- 6:03Speaker 1: didn't put the money in. But they're doing it, some
- 6:06Speaker 1: of them. Bloomberg has put money in, a lot of
- 6:08Speaker 1: them now doing it on behalf of Cuomo. But it's
- 6:12Speaker 1: been a very strange race. A couple of things have
- 6:14Speaker 1: happened with Mom Donnie. Even though he seems to be
- 6:18Speaker 1: doing well. The Queen's Democrat Party refused to endorse him.
- 6:22Speaker 1: They said they would not endorse him. Now, remember he's
- 6:24Speaker 1: the assemblyman from Queen's this is his party, this Queen's
- 6:27Speaker 1: Democrat Party. They refuse to endorse him. Everybody has noticed that.
- 6:31Speaker 1: The New York Times, although they've really been helping Mom
- 6:35Speaker 1: Donnie with these puff pieces, these great wonderful lifestyle pieces
- 6:40Speaker 1: on Mom Donnie and these puff pieces just flattering the
- 6:44Speaker 1: hell out of him, they have not officially endorsed him.
- 6:48Speaker 1: President Obama was here yesterday campaigning for Mikey Cheryl, and
- 6:53Speaker 1: he was asked over and over again about endorsing Mom Donnie,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and he won't do it. He won't do it. He
- 7:00Speaker 1: refused to endorse Mom Donnie. Now, Obama said he talked
- 7:03Speaker 1: with Mom Donnie on the phone Saturday, that they had
- 7:06Speaker 1: a long conversation. He said his advisor said that he
- 7:12Speaker 1: told Mom Donnie to come to him for advice or
- 7:14Speaker 1: consultation whenever he wants. Happy to advise him, guide him,
- 7:17Speaker 1: but he will not endorse him.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Now.
- 7:21Speaker 1: The Mom Donnie campaign was asked about that, how come
- 7:23Speaker 1: he won't endorse you, refused to endorse you, and the
- 7:26Speaker 1: spokesman who used to work for Obama said, well, President
- 7:31Speaker 1: Obama doesn't endorse in local races. It's a long standing
- 7:34Speaker 1: rule post presidency. Well, we checked. He's been endorsing mayors
- 7:41Speaker 1: all over the place. Apparently this guy was lying from
- 7:44Speaker 1: the Mom Donnie campaign. Obama has endorsed LA mayor Karen Bassi,
- 7:49Speaker 1: endorsed her predecessor, Garcetti. He endorsed the Chicago mayor Rama
- 7:54Speaker 1: Manuel in his election. I could go on and on
- 7:57Speaker 1: even smaller races. He endorsed Rick Chrisman for mayor of
- 8:00Speaker 1: Saint Petersburg. He even endorsed Caroline Simmons for mayor of Stamford.
- 8:05Speaker 1: So the Mom Donnie campaign was lying. He doesdorse mayoral candidates,
- 8:08Speaker 1: but refuses to do it for Mom Donnie. Now there
- 8:11Speaker 1: are people endorsing Mom Donnie like crazy, a lot of
- 8:14Speaker 1: Hollywood types, a lot of you see that. It's on
- 8:17Speaker 1: my Twitter that Mandy Patinkin, great actor, Broadway star, he
- 8:22Speaker 1: does a video with Mom Donni where he's just drooling
- 8:24Speaker 1: all over him, just gushing all over them. We gotta win.
- 8:27Speaker 1: He's back. A lot of these Hollywood types really out
- 8:30Speaker 1: there fighting for Mom Donnie. And do you remember this
- 8:33Speaker 1: name from the past, Ruth Messenger. Remember she was the
- 8:36Speaker 1: Manhattan Borough president. Ruth Messenger as a politician from the
- 8:40Speaker 1: seventies eighties, tried to run for bigger out never made it.
- 8:43Speaker 1: But she lives in a fancy building, Central Park West,
- 8:47Speaker 1: Upper West Side. A lot of wealthy tenants there. Hurst
- 8:51Speaker 1: lived there, Armani lived there. She's got the building going crazy.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Offended the hell out of them because she was running
- 8:57Speaker 1: around dropping off flyers at everybody's door, at everybody's mailbox,
- 9:02Speaker 1: telling them we've got to tax the rich. We've got
- 9:04Speaker 1: to get Mom Donnie elected. This is a Ruth Messenger.
- 9:07Speaker 1: We've got to get Mom Donnie. And we believe he's
- 9:10Speaker 1: most strongly committed to making new York more affordable and fairer.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Residents in the building furious, fuming, and she actually said,
- 9:20Speaker 1: we've got to tax the rich. This is the building
- 9:22Speaker 1: they live in. Now. Let me bring up something. There's
- 9:26Speaker 1: a lot of Jewish organizations, a few, not a lot.
- 9:29Speaker 1: There's a few that were backing Mom Donnie. There were
- 9:33Speaker 1: some in Brooklyn that seemed to be backing Mom Donnie.
- 9:36Speaker 1: It's horrible. How could they back Mom Donnie. Well, if
- 9:39Speaker 1: you talk to them off the record, they may have
- 9:42Speaker 1: endorsed them, but they're all not voting. They're all voting
- 9:45Speaker 1: against Mom Donnie. They may have endorsed them publicly just
- 9:47Speaker 1: to make sure they're on a good side of him
- 9:49Speaker 1: in case, but they're not voting for None of them
- 9:52Speaker 1: are voting for him. And that's what really counts New Jersey.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. It's pretty close. In fact,
- 10:02Speaker 1: a lot of these polls have Mikey Cheryl with a
- 10:04Speaker 1: very very slight lead. I don't know. I can't tell
- 10:07Speaker 1: in New Jersey, just can't tell what's gonna happen. But
- 10:12Speaker 1: there's a couple of things. New Jersey has never gone
- 10:16Speaker 1: with the same party three times in a row, so
- 10:20Speaker 1: Democrats have had their two times they're due for a
- 10:23Speaker 1: public and I don't know if that holds up that
- 10:24Speaker 1: whole thing, but they normally don't do it three times
- 10:29Speaker 1: in a row. Mikey Cheryl. She hasn't got much of
- 10:31Speaker 1: a campaign, very weak campaign. Her big point that she's
- 10:35Speaker 1: pushing with voters is that she can fly a helicopter.
- 10:40Speaker 1: I don't know what that has to do with being governor.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I mean, you go join the state troopers. I think
- 10:44Speaker 1: they use helicopters. You could help them, But flying a helicopter,
- 10:49Speaker 1: no big deal. And the other part of the campaign
- 10:52Speaker 1: is we hate Trump and Chitdarelli, who's not that close
- 10:55Speaker 1: to Trump. He has no real association with Trump, but
- 10:57Speaker 1: she keeps you pushing.
- 10:58Speaker 4: That on every single occasion. Jack has decided I'm gonna
- 11:03Speaker 4: defend Trump. He even gives Trump and a go guys,
- 11:11Speaker 4: I give Trump.
- 11:11Speaker 1: And f Yeah, okay, great. He gave him an A
- 11:14Speaker 1: and something seventeen years ago that he's bringing up.
- 11:17Speaker 5: They donated hundreds of millions to his campaign and they're
- 11:20Speaker 5: now getting rich up the higher utility prices that New
- 11:23Speaker 5: Jersey families are being forced to pay.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Yeah, she didn't have that a great boy. She's not.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I'm kind of irritating. I listened to So apparently they
- 11:32Speaker 1: did some internal polling. They saw they got alarmed, so
- 11:37Speaker 1: they called for Obama. Obama endorsed her a couple of
- 11:40Speaker 1: weeks ago with a video that's the endorsement. But apparently
- 11:43Speaker 1: they saw trouble. They didn't they didn't like what they
- 11:47Speaker 1: were seeing pollwise, and they're pulling. So they got Obama
- 11:50Speaker 1: to come in and campaign for her. And he does
- 11:53Speaker 1: what he does. He takes off the suit, he puts
- 11:56Speaker 1: on that work shirt, and he instead of sounding like
- 11:59Speaker 1: a like an Ivy League graduate, all sudden he talks
- 12:01Speaker 1: with that you know, he does that yelling and screaming.
- 12:04Speaker 1: And there he was in New Jersey this weekend.
- 12:06Speaker 6: You've got a candidate for governor.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Governor who's a proven fighter, who's got a track record.
- 12:12Speaker 6: I'm getting stuff done, somebody who sees you and knows
- 12:17Speaker 6: your struggles.
- 12:19Speaker 1: She has a track record of getting things done. I
- 12:22Speaker 1: don't know what you got done, but see now, Normally
- 12:24Speaker 1: when you talk to Aboonda, he said, yes, the governor,
- 12:27Speaker 1: he's a track record of getting things done. But when
- 12:30Speaker 1: he's on the campaign trail, a governor getting things done.
- 12:33Speaker 1: There's no G on the end of any word anymore.
- 12:35Speaker 1: It's not getting anything done, it's getting anything. He puts
- 12:38Speaker 1: on that fake voice for the campaign. Here he is
- 12:40Speaker 1: in New Jersey.
- 12:41Speaker 6: You have a candidate worth being excited about. You've got
- 12:48Speaker 6: a future governor to be excited about.
- 12:50Speaker 1: In microsot, I got to be honest, you know, when
- 12:54Speaker 1: I hear her voice, Wait, can't the way she talks,
- 12:58Speaker 1: it doesn't get me. I don't get too excited about it.
- 13:00Speaker 4: On every single occasion, Jack has decided I'm gonna defend Trump.
- 13:06Speaker 4: He even gives Trump and all.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Be honest, I didn't get excited listening to that.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Maybe they donated hundreds of millions to his campaign and
- 13:14Speaker 5: they're now hitting Rinch on the higheringility prices that you.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Know, excited might not be the correct word. So the
- 13:20Speaker 1: mayor race, everybody out campaigning like crazy. And we'll talk
- 13:23Speaker 1: to Curtis in the next hour. Hey, Saturday Night Live,
- 13:26Speaker 1: We'll ask him about this. H Saturday Night Live. The
- 13:31Speaker 1: opening sketch was about the mayor race, and they recreated
- 13:34Speaker 1: the mayoral debate in a lot of little New York
- 13:38Speaker 1: detail things only really New Yorkers would get. It's a
- 13:41Speaker 1: show that's seen around the country. I don't know if
- 13:42Speaker 1: they all get this. For instance, Curtis, there was a
- 13:46Speaker 1: guy playing Curtis, a guy playing Cuomo, a guy playing
- 13:48Speaker 1: Mom Donnie. Here's the Curtis character.
- 13:50Speaker 7: I'm thrilled to be here and not getting shot in
- 13:53Speaker 7: the back of a yellow cab five times by the
- 13:55Speaker 7: Gottis and Gambinos, as I was famously in nineteen nine,
- 14:00Speaker 7: nineteen ninety three, and ninety four. But I'm the right
- 14:04Speaker 7: choice to be a next mayor. No offense to my opponents,
- 14:07Speaker 7: mister Cuomo, and I believe I'm saying this right.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Zoltah, Rob Zombie. That's pretty funny, But I don't know
- 14:15Speaker 1: that most people around the country get. Curtis was shot
- 14:17Speaker 1: by the mafia. First, they beat him up with baseball bats.
- 14:22Speaker 1: They didn't like what he was saying about them on
- 14:23Speaker 1: the air. He was in the hospital, beatn to a pulp,
- 14:26Speaker 1: and from his hospital bed kept announcing them. It wouldn't stop.
- 14:31Speaker 1: So they watched his routine. They saw every morning, what
- 14:34Speaker 1: time he leaves, what time he hails a cab. And
- 14:37Speaker 1: they got a cab and pretended it was a regular cab,
- 14:42Speaker 1: and then they knew what time to drive by, and
- 14:43Speaker 1: they picked him up and they got him in the
- 14:45Speaker 1: back and they shot him five times, and it was
- 14:48Speaker 1: just like in The Godfather, where there what's his name
- 14:50Speaker 1: says they shot him five five bullets and he's still alive. Well,
- 14:53Speaker 1: that's Curtis, And then of course went right back on
- 14:57Speaker 1: the air and started announcing him again. So you cannot
- 14:59Speaker 1: pressure Curtis. Cannot be done. If he stood up to that,
- 15:03Speaker 1: he's going to stand up to a couple of billionaires
- 15:05Speaker 1: calling I'm trying to bribe him out of the race.
- 15:07Speaker 1: We'll get to that one. He'll be with us next hour.
- 15:09Speaker 1: We'll ask him about that. But you can't pressure Curtis.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Nobody can get Curtis ever to give up or back down. Now,
- 15:15Speaker 1: the guy playing Cuomo played him as a sleazy, oily
- 15:19Speaker 1: old politician. This is the Cuomo character.
- 15:22Speaker 3: As we all know.
- 15:23Speaker 7: As soon as you are elected Maya, everyone in the
- 15:25Speaker 7: city immediately hates you. And in that way, I am
- 15:28Speaker 7: already one step out of the game.
- 15:31Speaker 1: So you know Clomo's got this. If you watch his ads,
- 15:35Speaker 1: he's ready day one. That's this big thing, said Mikey Cheryl.
- 15:40Speaker 1: She can fly a helicopter, he's supposed to vote for
- 15:42Speaker 1: this guy. I'm ready day one. You know, I've never
- 15:44Speaker 1: seen anybody anybody gets elected seems to be ready day one.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Can you think if anybody got elected and then called
- 15:53Speaker 1: in and said, I'm just not ready. I can't come in.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I'm not ready, so ready day one. Flying a helicopter
- 15:59Speaker 1: doesn't mean it's the guy playing mom, Donnie.
- 16:01Speaker 8: I want to be mayor so I can deliver a
- 16:03Speaker 8: better New York free healthcare, affordable housing, free Wi Fi.
- 16:09Speaker 9: As mayor, Can I make that happen?
- 16:11Speaker 2: I'm not sure yet, but together we're gonna find out
- 16:16Speaker 2: that the answer is no.
- 16:20Speaker 1: All right, not bad, not bad, pretty good for you,
- 16:22Speaker 1: saturing life anyway, we'll get back to the mayor oll race.
- 16:24Speaker 1: We'll get to sixty minutes. Trump sat down with sixty
- 16:27Speaker 1: minutes for his very first interview since the takeover by
- 16:32Speaker 1: the good guys running CBS. Now we'll get to that.
- 16:35Speaker 1: We'll get to the marathon and a whole lot more
- 16:37Speaker 1: coming up. We'll take some calls next. Curtis will be
- 16:40Speaker 1: with us too. We'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred
- 16:43Speaker 1: three to two one zero seven ten is the number
- 16:46Speaker 1: eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Now back to the Mark Simo Show on WOR.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Let's take some calls. Let's go to Danny and Queen's Danny,
- 16:59Speaker 1: how you and.
- 17:01Speaker 10: More than mark two points. First one is why does
- 17:06Speaker 10: the group ofatorial candidate New Jersey Cheryl? Why does she
- 17:09Speaker 10: refuse to use her real name of Rebecca Cheryl.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Get to the second point that doesn't.
- 17:15Speaker 10: Mean any thing and call job the Republican Party in
- 17:19Speaker 10: New York that they would have allowed this debacle to
- 17:22Speaker 10: occur with Curtis Sleever, why can't they find a well.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Curtis is a good candidate. The problem with the Republican Party,
- 17:28Speaker 1: and you're absolutely right, is it's tiny, it's minuscule. Problem
- 17:32Speaker 1: is if you're you know, if you're a Democrat, they've
- 17:34Speaker 1: got a massive party operation. They supply you with everything,
- 17:37Speaker 1: you know, a huge manpower staff. They got. Most important
- 17:40Speaker 1: thing is what they call the ground game. Get everybody
- 17:42Speaker 1: out to the vote, knock on doors election day, go
- 17:44Speaker 1: pick up voters, bring them to pulic. Democratic ground game
- 17:48Speaker 1: is like sixty five thousand people. Republican Party they claim
- 17:52Speaker 1: eight hundred. But you're absolutely right. The Republican Party is
- 17:55Speaker 1: a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny little operation here in New
- 17:59Speaker 1: York Cityocratic Party. It's a massive machine. Things would be
- 18:03Speaker 1: different if we could fix that. Let's go to Mara
- 18:06Speaker 1: in Nevada. Mara, how you.
- 18:07Speaker 11: Doing so good?
- 18:08Speaker 12: I'm talking to you Chaw Vincent Mark. First, I got
- 18:11Speaker 12: a new member of the Golden Oldies, Phyllis. She called
- 18:15Speaker 12: in ninety two. She's been listening to you for years.
- 18:18Speaker 12: Now Here is why I call you that.
- 18:21Speaker 1: They have like a Golden Girls fan club. Half of
- 18:23Speaker 1: them are names.
- 18:24Speaker 12: I know, we we we love you, we love you
- 18:26Speaker 12: to keep it look Mark. The other day, Vincent and
- 18:30Speaker 12: I were commiserating about the outcome of the Belove in
- 18:34Speaker 12: New York City. If Mondannie gets it now, we don't
- 18:39Speaker 12: understand why the bodega owners are backing him. What's doing well?
- 18:43Speaker 1: They're not. They're not, they're not, they're not. No, that
- 18:46Speaker 1: was just the union boss and many of them have
- 18:49Speaker 1: quit the union over it. But good point, Mara, thanks
- 18:51Speaker 1: for calling.
- 18:52Speaker 3: You.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Got to remember a lot of times when they say
- 18:54Speaker 1: the so and so union is back, it's the union president.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Because they candidate will offerm whatever, offer all kinds of
- 19:00Speaker 1: things to back them. That happens a lot of times
- 19:02Speaker 1: with the union, Big whatever, automotive you the back Obama. Meantime,
- 19:08Speaker 1: all the workers are voting against them. It's just the
- 19:10Speaker 1: union boss in exchange for stuff. Well publicly back them.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how you doing.
- 19:17Speaker 8: Good morning, Mark. I'm doing very well. Thank you, Mark.
- 19:19Speaker 8: I read this Morning and Showbiz four one one Roger
- 19:22Speaker 8: Freeman's website that Gail King will not have her contract
- 19:26Speaker 8: renew due to sky Dance slash CBS. Now, can she
- 19:30Speaker 8: actually do a syndicate a talk show? Does she have
- 19:32Speaker 8: the talent?
- 19:33Speaker 1: She did that once years ago. She did that in
- 19:35Speaker 1: the nineties and it was a total bomb, complete disaster.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I remember she did it out from Hartford, Connecticut. But
- 19:40Speaker 1: it was the same you know people that do Oprah
- 19:43Speaker 1: her best friend. They syndicated disaster didn't last good, good question, Dave. Now,
- 19:49Speaker 1: the reason they get getting rid of Gail King, They're
- 19:51Speaker 1: just trying to figure out how to do it. She's
- 19:53Speaker 1: a nasty, nasty, vicious kind of they don't want a
- 19:56Speaker 1: lot of trouble. She's the kind of person that I'll
- 19:59Speaker 1: really go after him. That have been very careful how
- 20:01Speaker 1: they get rid of her. The left wing people will
- 20:04Speaker 1: tell you, well, this is terrible. It's because she's liberal,
- 20:07Speaker 1: it's because she's in last place. It's the lowest rated,
- 20:10Speaker 1: the last place network morning show and television every single
- 20:12Speaker 1: day with her, So it's just a no brainer to
- 20:15Speaker 1: get rid of her. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
- 20:17Speaker 1: how you doing, good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 20:21Speaker 13: This mayoral race is going to really illustrate one of
- 20:25Speaker 13: the great Democrat con jobs in the election history, I think,
- 20:29Speaker 13: because they put up two candidates, one not much different
- 20:32Speaker 13: than the other, so it's a sophie's choice, and the
- 20:35Speaker 13: result is going to also permanently work for a long
- 20:39Speaker 13: time kill the Republicans because they can all blame Curtis
- 20:44Speaker 13: for losing the race to Cuomo and it's gonna so
- 20:49Speaker 13: they accomplished two things at once, and it's really very interesting.
- 20:52Speaker 13: And it's also going to be interesting watching Mamdani, an
- 20:55Speaker 13: Islamic radical, presiding over the next year's twenty fifth anniversary
- 21:00Speaker 13: nine to eleven.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Oh god, well, we don't know what's going to happen yet.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Let's not get ahead of ourselves. But a good point, Mike,
- 21:06Speaker 1: don't blame Curtis or anything you want to blame somebody,
- 21:08Speaker 1: Blame Cuomo. He was so bad in the primary. He
- 21:13Speaker 1: ran in the Democratic primary against Mom Donnie. Culomo was
- 21:16Speaker 1: so weak in the debates. He got beaten to a
- 21:18Speaker 1: pulp in both debates. I don't know what he was
- 21:20Speaker 1: doing as far as campaign, he was like a zombie, slow,
- 21:24Speaker 1: doing nothing. He should have stopped this, should have been
- 21:28Speaker 1: stopped in the primary. Blame Cuomo for it being a
- 21:31Speaker 1: total disaster in the primary. That's how Mom Donnie got
- 21:35Speaker 1: the Democratic de nomination. And that's the dangerous part. One more,
- 21:38Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike and Long Island. Mike, what do
- 21:40Speaker 1: you want to say?
- 21:41Speaker 2: Hey, Mark, good morning morning. You've mentioned many times that
- 21:44Speaker 2: the governor can remove a mayor. My question is if
- 21:47Speaker 2: if Mom Donnie wins and Stephanic becomes governor, does she
- 21:51Speaker 2: need just cause to remove him?
- 21:53Speaker 1: What's the process she can remove No, fine, you just
- 21:57Speaker 1: find something you can remove him. I think the last
- 21:58Speaker 1: time it happened was Fdr Franklin Dolno. Roosevelt removed Jimmy Walker,
- 22:05Speaker 1: who was the mayor of New York. In that case,
- 22:07Speaker 1: they accused him of corruption. Then they go after you,
- 22:10Speaker 1: and then he removed him. Actually, in that case, I
- 22:13Speaker 1: think Walker fled before getting removed. But it can be done.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Problem Miss JKL won't do it. She's terrified of the
- 22:20Speaker 1: left primary in her she's got a run for re
- 22:24Speaker 1: election next year, so she's terrified of the left wing
- 22:27Speaker 1: of the party, so she won't have the guts to
- 22:29Speaker 1: do it. But again, if Stefanic gets elected, and if
- 22:33Speaker 1: Mom Donnie were to become mayor, that would be the
- 22:35Speaker 1: whole theme of the gubernatorial election. Who vows to remove
- 22:40Speaker 1: Mom Donnie? And half the votes for governor come from
- 22:43Speaker 1: New York, so it'd be a big, big issue. Hey,
- 22:45Speaker 1: Michael Goodwin not with us this week, but we'll get
- 22:49Speaker 1: to Howie Carr. We'll fill in. We'll talk to Howie
- 22:51Speaker 1: Carr next on seven to ten WR.
- 22:55Speaker 14: On seventeen R.
- 22:58Speaker 1: He's more of The Marsh Show. Well, hey, Howie Carr,
- 23:03Speaker 1: the great radio host talk show hosts. You should be
- 23:06Speaker 1: listening to him. You can hear him on the iHeart app.
- 23:08Speaker 1: On iHeart you can get his podcast. Also get his
- 23:11Speaker 1: latest book, Mass Corruption, or any of his best sellers.
- 23:14Speaker 1: You just go to Howie Carshow dot com. You get
- 23:17Speaker 1: everything there Howie Carshow dot com. Howie Carr, How you doing.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Very good? What's going to happen tomorrow? Does Cuomo have
- 23:25Speaker 3: a chance?
- 23:27Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you, how did we get in
- 23:28Speaker 1: a situation where we've got to choose between a communist
- 23:31Speaker 1: wacko nut job, a sleazy old politician who just resigned
- 23:35Speaker 1: in disgrace from his last job, and we like Curtis
- 23:39Speaker 1: but everybody says he can't win. How did we get
- 23:41Speaker 1: in this mess?
- 23:42Speaker 3: These are abstract questions.
- 23:44Speaker 15: You know, I'm more concerned about the future of the
- 23:47Speaker 15: city that my daughter lives in that I've spent my
- 23:51Speaker 15: life visiting and enjoying, you know. I mean, does he
- 23:54Speaker 15: eat this, Cuomo have a chance or not? I mean,
- 23:56Speaker 15: we can consider, we can ponder the idell lack vitual
- 24:01Speaker 15: ramifications of this on Wednesday, but first we got to
- 24:04Speaker 15: stop the communist.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Well, I can't tell you because the voter turnout is
- 24:09Speaker 1: like six times normal. Almost a million people have already voted.
- 24:13Speaker 1: This is unheard of. It's going to voting will hit
- 24:15Speaker 1: two million, which is way beyond anything. So I think
- 24:18Speaker 1: the polls are all wrong. What do you think?
- 24:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I hope.
- 24:23Speaker 15: So I finally got my daughter out to vote her
- 24:26Speaker 15: and her boyfriend the West village to vote for Cuomo
- 24:29Speaker 15: on on Saturday, in the early last day of the
- 24:32Speaker 15: early voting. I guess and and you know, she said, oh,
- 24:36Speaker 15: you know, it seems it doesn't seem all that bad.
- 24:39Speaker 15: It's the people seem normal, and a lot of them
- 24:42Speaker 15: seem Jewish. And I said, I don't think being Jewish
- 24:44Speaker 15: has anything to do with it. I mean, what do
- 24:46Speaker 15: the polls say that he's going to Bendami is going
- 24:49Speaker 15: to get thirty percent of the Jewish vote.
- 24:51Speaker 3: I mean, how insane is that?
- 24:53Speaker 1: Well, yeah, but you know, people say, well, I saw
- 24:54Speaker 1: a lot of Jewish people, you're in a Jewish neighborhood.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Or I saw a lot of old people voting, Well,
- 24:58Speaker 1: you're in the Upper West Side, old people.
- 25:03Speaker 3: A lot of Italians voting on Staten Island.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Yeah, so, uh, I don't know. But you know, you
- 25:10Speaker 1: understand everybody hates Cuomo. They just hate Cuomo.
- 25:14Speaker 3: No, I understand.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I hate him too, you know.
- 25:16Speaker 15: I mean, I'm still angry about changing the name of
- 25:18Speaker 15: the tappan Z Bridge. You know, that doesn't even show
- 25:21Speaker 15: up in most of the polls, but it really bugs
- 25:22Speaker 15: the hell out of me. Being from New England, I
- 25:25Speaker 15: used to like the Tappings, going over and seeing that sign.
- 25:27Speaker 3: You know, yeah, I mean what they you know, what
- 25:30Speaker 3: about cultural appropriation.
- 25:31Speaker 15: They took away the name of the Indians that the Tappen,
- 25:34Speaker 15: that's a tribe of Indians.
- 25:36Speaker 3: How dare they?
- 25:38Speaker 9: Uh?
- 25:39Speaker 1: Have you ever seen this before? There were somebody everybody
- 25:42Speaker 1: says we must vote for the worst guy in the
- 25:44Speaker 1: world just to stop the totally evil guy.
- 25:48Speaker 15: Remember Roy when Edwin Edwards was running in Louisiana, you know,
- 25:51Speaker 15: coming out of prison against David Duke that got from
- 25:54Speaker 15: the clan, and they had those bumper stickers vote for
- 25:57Speaker 15: the crook.
- 25:57Speaker 3: It's important.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it happens.
- 26:01Speaker 3: It happens.
- 26:02Speaker 15: And you know James Michael Curley in Boston was he
- 26:05Speaker 15: did two terms in prison. You know, he did it
- 26:07Speaker 15: for a friend. That's what they said, service exitemen went
- 26:11Speaker 15: to prison. I mean, this is this is not the
- 26:14Speaker 15: new Marion Barry in d C. Yeah, I mean, you
- 26:17Speaker 15: know they you know, I mean, but you know, Cuomo
- 26:21Speaker 15: is just terrible across the board everywhere you want to look,
- 26:24Speaker 15: he's terrible. But you know the thing is it's that
- 26:27Speaker 15: there's the old saying the devil, you know, is better
- 26:29Speaker 15: than the devil. You don't know, And I think I
- 26:32Speaker 15: think that's what it is. I mean, I don't know.
- 26:34Speaker 15: Maybe this is just a you know, a mood point
- 26:38Speaker 15: that he's that Mandomie's already wont I hope not, but no,
- 26:41Speaker 15: who knows.
- 26:42Speaker 1: And again, the turnout is so enormous, you got to
- 26:44Speaker 1: figure the poles just haven't been able to measure that.
- 26:47Speaker 1: There's a lot of Mondani voters, new voters, first time
- 26:50Speaker 1: voters usually don't get spotted by pollsters. The older people,
- 26:54Speaker 1: uh both. Has there ever been a case before, Yeah,
- 26:58Speaker 1: of course where the polls were totally wrong. There must
- 27:00Speaker 1: have been.
- 27:02Speaker 15: Yeah, I think, you know, there's always been that, you know,
- 27:04Speaker 15: the George Wallace effect going going way back. People didn't
- 27:07Speaker 15: want to say they were for George Wallace. When when
- 27:10Speaker 15: Bradley the mayor of la the black guy was running
- 27:13Speaker 15: against Dukenasian. I mean, people didn't want to admit they
- 27:16Speaker 15: weren't voting for Bradley. He was a terrible mayor. And yeah,
- 27:20Speaker 15: you know that's I mean, I think there's I think
- 27:22Speaker 15: there's been a.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Lot of that. I I don't know, you know. The
- 27:25Speaker 3: other thing, my daughter called.
- 27:27Speaker 15: Me that the ballot is rather confusing, you know that,
- 27:30Speaker 15: you know, almost that is bad thing. I mean, it's
- 27:33Speaker 15: it's unfortunate. But the further up you are on the ballot,
- 27:35Speaker 15: the more votes you get. It's just the way it's
- 27:37Speaker 15: always been. And I guess Cuomo's at the very bottom.
- 27:40Speaker 15: And Mamdani's got two lines on the ballot, you know,
- 27:44Speaker 15: because he wasn't he wasn't planning on winning the primary,
- 27:48Speaker 15: you know, originally, so so that you got two places
- 27:51Speaker 15: to vote from, Mam Donnie, and they're both I had
- 27:53Speaker 15: a Cuomo. I mean, that's another another drawback.
- 27:57Speaker 3: But I don't know.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I mean, it's all Cuomo's fault. He was a disaster
- 28:00Speaker 1: in the primaries. He really stunk in the debate.
- 28:04Speaker 3: So he is and he was and again he was
- 28:06Speaker 3: a terrible guy. I mean, go down the list.
- 28:08Speaker 15: I mean bail reform, uh, telling, telling conservatives and pro
- 28:13Speaker 15: life people, pro Second Amendment people they shouldn't get the
- 28:16Speaker 15: hell out of the state. I mean, that was a
- 28:17Speaker 15: long time ago, and you know, and you know the
- 28:21Speaker 15: sexual harassment charges and the worst thing of all, of
- 28:23Speaker 15: course was the COVID you know, the total mismanagement of
- 28:26Speaker 15: that and then attacking Trump for it, not even using
- 28:29Speaker 15: the not even using the hospital ships that they sent
- 28:33Speaker 15: up to the to the West side, to the docs.
- 28:36Speaker 15: And I mean everything, everything about him is terrible. But
- 28:39Speaker 15: I mean this is the you know, we don't live
- 28:41Speaker 15: in a perfect world mark. This is just the latest
- 28:44Speaker 15: example of it, right, I mean, the declient can be
- 28:48Speaker 15: somewhat managed. I mean, I think maybe there's a little
- 28:51Speaker 15: hysteria today, you know, in that poll that came out
- 28:54Speaker 15: of the post. But I mean, don't you hear people.
- 28:57Speaker 15: I mean, I know you're you know, you're super pro
- 28:59Speaker 15: New York and all, but don't you hear people talking
- 29:01Speaker 15: about moving out?
- 29:03Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 29:03Speaker 1: But hey, so many millions moved out under Cuomo's governor.
- 29:07Speaker 1: We lost four congressional seats because of him, because of
- 29:09Speaker 1: people moving out.
- 29:10Speaker 15: Right, But I think this is I think, you know,
- 29:12Speaker 15: I've been thinking about this. I watched, you know, the
- 29:15Speaker 15: values of property skyrocket here in Palm Beach during COVID.
- 29:19Speaker 15: I think this could I think this could be a
- 29:20Speaker 15: bigger exodus, you know, economic flight than COVID.
- 29:25Speaker 3: I really do.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Well, then give him mom Downey. Credit will solve the
- 29:30Speaker 1: traffic problem. At least.
- 29:34Speaker 3: The credit.
- 29:35Speaker 15: We thought that, we thought that in COVID. You know,
- 29:37Speaker 15: the thing is his his voters don't have jobs, so
- 29:41Speaker 15: you know they're still going to be you know, going
- 29:46Speaker 15: around carjacking and going to the welfare office and going
- 29:49Speaker 15: on shopliftings, freeze and out on Long Island.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Just don't be just the way. I don't think the
- 29:55Speaker 3: traffic's going to get that much better.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Yeah, and we don't have much timelift. Speaking on Palm Beach,
- 29:59Speaker 1: mar A Lago, this was the big reopening this weekend,
- 30:01Speaker 1: Halloween weekend, mar Alago reopened.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Yep, he came.
- 30:04Speaker 15: He came down early twelve forty was my wife got
- 30:08Speaker 15: caught in the traffic GM at you know, nine o'clock
- 30:11Speaker 15: on Saturday, that's when he usually leaves to go play
- 30:14Speaker 15: around a golf. Yeah, he's gonna be He's going to
- 30:17Speaker 15: be down here a lot this weather, I think, and.
- 30:19Speaker 3: It's going to be good. I like, I like Kevin
- 30:22Speaker 3: in there. You know it's good. It's the winter White
- 30:25Speaker 3: House and it's the autumn White House.
- 30:30Speaker 1: It's pretty amazing. The president. Normally, when you leave for
- 30:33Speaker 1: a weekend, the President, you go stay at Camp David
- 30:35Speaker 1: in like a log camp. This guy goes to the biggest,
- 30:37Speaker 1: most glamorous resort in the world, and then he's the
- 30:40Speaker 1: only president he ever comes back to the White House.
- 30:42Speaker 1: It seems kind of dumpy compared to where he was.
- 30:45Speaker 1: That's why he's building the ballroom. He built a big
- 30:48Speaker 1: ballroom in mar A Lago. Now he's going to do
- 30:50Speaker 1: the same thing for the White House. He'd improved the
- 30:52Speaker 1: hell out of mar A Lago and made it even
- 30:55Speaker 1: more valuable. I think I tend to think the same thing,
- 30:58Speaker 1: and it's going to happen with the with the ballroom.
- 31:01Speaker 3: On the East wing. People just don't want to admit it.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Democrats, Hey, everybody, I get Howie Carr's latest book, Mass Corruption.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Is it still? Best place is your website to get it?
- 31:12Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 31:12Speaker 3: We still well.
- 31:13Speaker 15: I think Amazon laid off all their people, so we're
- 31:15Speaker 15: dealing with AI. They said, we have no record of
- 31:17Speaker 15: doing business with you. No, only tens of thousands of dollars,
- 31:20Speaker 15: maybe one hundred thousand dollars with like five books. They
- 31:24Speaker 15: have no record of it, though apparently now they sit
- 31:26Speaker 15: they're telling.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Me, But yeah, I get it. You can get it.
- 31:28Speaker 15: It'll be on Amazon by the end of the week.

- 31:57Speaker 3: Yeah. I agree, it's a good book. You'll enjoy it.

- 32:04Speaker 15: It's a There's and there's more all the time, more
- 32:08Speaker 15: breaking news this weekend for volumes.
- 32:10Speaker 3: I'll tell you about that some other times.
- 32:12Speaker 1: All right, Alry Carr, thanks for being here.
- 32:14Speaker 3: All right, Okay, vote Cuomo.
- 32:16Speaker 1: All right.
- 32:17Speaker 3: I never thought i'd say it, but I'm saying it.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Goodbye, take care. Well, you know what, in the next hour,
- 32:24Speaker 1: we'll have Curtis. Curtis will be here. We'll see what
- 32:27Speaker 1: he thinks about all of this. We love Curtis, and hey, hey,
- 32:32Speaker 1: Buck and Clay today. You know they do a great
- 32:34Speaker 1: show every day from noon to three. Buck Sexton, Clay Travis.
- 32:37Speaker 1: You'll want to be listening today. Big guest coming up,

- 32:47Speaker 1: requires traveling. I have to go up to the tenth
- 32:49Speaker 1: floor where they are to do it. Buck and Clay
- 32:53Speaker 1: today noon to three. I'll be on at one thirty
- 32:56Speaker 1: on seven ten WR.
- 32:58Speaker 5: It's more Mark Simone on seven tenor.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Well, don't go away. We'll get to the mayoral race.
- 33:07Speaker 1: We'll go over in detail in the next hour at
- 33:09Speaker 1: Curtis will be with us. We'll talk to Curtis next hour,
- 33:12Speaker 1: right after the news seven to ten WR. Mister New
- 33:16Speaker 1: York Mark Simone, you're the best.
- 33:18Speaker 14: Seven ten WR.
- 33:21Speaker 1: We'll get to the mayoral race in just a second,
- 33:26Speaker 1: and we'll get to the World Series and Curtis will
- 33:28Speaker 1: be with us. Curtis ly Well, we'll join us a
- 33:30Speaker 1: little later this hour. We'll see what he's feeling like.
- 33:34Speaker 1: On the final day. It is the final day before
- 33:37Speaker 1: the election. There's no early voting today. Yesterday was the
- 33:40Speaker 1: last day. Yeah, yesterday was the last day. Seven hundred
- 33:47Speaker 1: and thirty five thousand early votes. That's like six times normal,
- 33:51Speaker 1: that is through the roof. It's huge. It's expected that
- 33:55Speaker 1: we'll get over two million voters in this election after
- 33:58Speaker 1: election day tomorrow. Normally we could end up with three
- 34:02Speaker 1: four hundred thousand five. So this is big, very very
- 34:05Speaker 1: very big. Turnout is huge. Cuomo is doing better than
- 34:09Speaker 1: before he has searched, but Curtis is also surging. We've
- 34:12Speaker 1: seen that, so they're both surging. Cuomo was You still
- 34:17Speaker 1: got to blame him for this mess. There was a
- 34:19Speaker 1: Democratic primary. Mom Donnie was at zero, you know, a
- 34:24Speaker 1: weird extremist candidate that Remember, there was a whole bunch
- 34:26Speaker 1: of people in that Democratic primary. Cuomo scared Eric Adams
- 34:31Speaker 1: out of it. So Eric Adams didn't enter that Democratic primary,
- 34:34Speaker 1: and who knows he might have won. Cuomo scared him
- 34:37Speaker 1: out of it. You remember Cuomo before the primary began,
- 34:40Speaker 1: It scared a lot of people with his big name
- 34:43Speaker 1: recognition and his billions and billionaire donors, and everybody's afraid
- 34:47Speaker 1: to go up here. So Cuomo enters the Democratic primary
- 34:50Speaker 1: and is a disaster, a disaster, hardly campaign, no rallies,
- 34:55Speaker 1: no anything, no campaigning in the debates, he was a
- 34:59Speaker 1: complete disaster. He got wiped out by Mam Donni in
- 35:01Speaker 1: the first debate, second debate, got beaten up even more.
- 35:05Speaker 1: It was a disaster. So he lost the primary. And
- 35:08Speaker 1: he was so bad in those debates and Mom Donni
- 35:11Speaker 1: just used him as a punching bag and it really
- 35:13Speaker 1: helped Mam Donnie take off. He ended up slaughtering Cuomo
- 35:16Speaker 1: in the final vote. Had nothing to do with rank
- 35:18Speaker 1: choice voting, just slaughtered him in that final vote. So
- 35:22Speaker 1: that's how we end up with Mom Donnie. Then Cuomo
- 35:25Speaker 1: goes on to some third party ballot and tries to
- 35:27Speaker 1: tries to come back, and he's done well, He's done better.
- 35:30Speaker 1: He's been a much better campaigner. He was rotten in
- 35:33Speaker 1: the first debate, but in that last general election mayoral debate,
- 35:37Speaker 1: he was pretty good. Curtis won the debate easily on
- 35:40Speaker 1: issues on content. But Cuomo suddenly had energy, suddenly had
- 35:44Speaker 1: a little fire. A lot of people think they injected
- 35:47Speaker 1: him with one of those Joe Biden wake up drugs,
- 35:51Speaker 1: wake up injections. So and they've all been campaigning like crazy.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Cuomo still hasn't opened a campaign office, but okay, but
- 35:58Speaker 1: he's been out there. He's been out there campaigning all weekend.
- 36:01Speaker 16: Three buses, Yeah, that sounds great. He doesn't run the buses.
- 36:05Speaker 16: The state runs the buses. And the state said that
- 36:08Speaker 16: that's not going to happen. Universal childcare because the state's
- 36:13Speaker 16: going to tax all the corporations, but all the money
- 36:16Speaker 16: goes to New York City. That's never going to happen.
- 36:19Speaker 16: None of it will happen. It's just this socialist talk.
- 36:24Speaker 16: Everything free, everything free.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I promise we all know this already. Obviously
- 36:30Speaker 1: already knows this.
- 36:30Speaker 16: I believe President Trump is from New York. I think
- 36:33Speaker 16: he cares about New York. He has friends in New York,
- 36:35Speaker 16: he has a lot of connections in New York. And
- 36:38Speaker 16: I think he would be open to a cooperative path
- 36:44Speaker 16: that is doing good things in New York in cooperation
- 36:47Speaker 16: with the federal government. I think you would like to
- 36:49Speaker 16: see New York better.
- 36:51Speaker 1: I believe that. Yeah. Now, behind the scenes, President Trump
- 36:55Speaker 1: has been working day and night to get Curtis out
- 36:59Speaker 1: of the race late for that. I don't agree with
- 37:03Speaker 1: him on that, but that's what he's been trying to do.
- 37:05Speaker 1: He's been trying to help Cuomo. He thinks Cloma is
- 37:08Speaker 1: the only one that can win. There are a lot
- 37:11Speaker 1: of people that think that. But he's been working like
- 37:13Speaker 1: crazy to get Sliva out. It's not going to happen.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Curtis is not a quitter, never has been, never will be.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Here's more of Cuomo.
- 37:20Speaker 16: President Trump said, Curtis Sliwa is not ready for prime time,
- 37:25Speaker 16: and he's not ready for prime time. He's led this
- 37:29Speaker 16: group called the Guardian Angels for years, but he has
- 37:32Speaker 16: no managerial experience, no government experience, and he's basically defrauded
- 37:40Speaker 16: New Yorkers in the past. So he's not ready for
- 37:43Speaker 16: prime time, and he is a spoiler in the race.
- 37:47Speaker 16: The only thing he can do is make Mom Donnie
- 37:50Speaker 16: a winner, because any vote for Curtis is a vote
- 37:54Speaker 16: for Mom Donnie.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Yeah, now you've got to put a lot of asterisk
- 37:57Speaker 1: on it. He never defrauded New York. I think he's
- 37:59Speaker 1: referring to something he did a publicity stunt once turned
- 38:02Speaker 1: out out to be true. But you talk about defrauding
- 38:04Speaker 1: New York. I think Cuomo did have to leave office
- 38:07Speaker 1: in disgrace. He was under investigation by the Ethics Committee
- 38:11Speaker 1: as well for that. Sleazy book deal and and a spoiler.
- 38:16Speaker 1: You can't be a spoiler if you're a major party candidate. Remember,
- 38:20Speaker 1: Curtis is the Republican nominee, Mam Donnie is the Democratic nominee.
- 38:24Speaker 1: It was Cuomo who could not get a major party win.
- 38:30Speaker 1: He lost the primary. Democrats rejected him in the primary.
- 38:33Speaker 1: So let's see. Here's more a Cuomo.
- 38:36Speaker 16: He thinks Mandami, who equals a communist, would be horrendous
- 38:40Speaker 16: for New York.
- 38:41Speaker 1: By the way, I agree.
- 38:43Speaker 16: And this is the far left of the Democratic Party,
- 38:47Speaker 16: the socialist wing of the Democratic Party, trying.
- 38:50Speaker 1: To take over New York City. Kind of the problem.
- 38:53Speaker 1: He over explains everything to you. Cuomo talks to you
- 38:58Speaker 1: like you're the one that's to bit and he talks
- 39:00Speaker 1: too slow, and he over explains. And now Curtis, they're
- 39:05Speaker 1: still telling him to drop out. You can't. I'll ask him.
- 39:08Speaker 1: He'll quakers will be with a few minutes. He couldn't
- 39:10Speaker 1: drop out if he wanted to. You can't drop out.
- 39:13Speaker 1: You can't get your name off the ballot. You can't.
- 39:15Speaker 1: We'll ask him when he's here. But he's I've known
- 39:18Speaker 1: Curtis for a million years. This guy never quit anything
- 39:21Speaker 1: in his life. They're all trying to get me out
- 39:23Speaker 1: of this race.
- 39:23Speaker 3: I guess what, I'm in it to win it.
- 39:25Speaker 9: I'm the only Republican, the law and order candidate. I'm
- 39:28Speaker 9: Rudy Giuliani two point zero.
- 39:30Speaker 3: Whoa.
- 39:31Speaker 1: He can say that because Rudy Giuliani is endorsing him
- 39:34Speaker 1: and has said one thousand percent behind him.
- 39:37Speaker 9: Jorhan Mandami Hao.
- 39:39Speaker 1: He's very affable.
- 39:40Speaker 9: It's like that song remember Shad Day nineteen eighty four,
- 39:43Speaker 9: Smooth Operator.
- 39:45Speaker 3: Yeah yeah.
- 39:45Speaker 9: I always think of Barack Obama the prince of the
- 39:48Speaker 9: smooth Operator.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 39:49Speaker 9: And on the JV he'sha Mandami amen ah. When he lies, yes,
- 39:55Speaker 9: nose doesn't get bigger, he smile gets larger.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Yeah, you gotta. I admit Curtis is the best on
- 40:01Speaker 1: the campaign trail. And he's right, Mam, Donnie is an Obama.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Obama was the same kind of thing. Not a communist,
- 40:07Speaker 1: but Obama was a guy with no resume, never had
- 40:10Speaker 1: a real job in his life, community organized or whatever
- 40:13Speaker 1: the hell that was, but never had a real job,
- 40:15Speaker 1: just a very brief career in the legislature, and all
- 40:19Speaker 1: of a sudden running for the biggest management management job
- 40:21Speaker 1: in the world. But he did it with a smile
- 40:23Speaker 1: and style and being very articulate and smooth talking. He's
- 40:28Speaker 1: the socialist Obama.
- 40:30Speaker 9: If you're on the thirty in Europe, female.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Right now, this is him on Cuomo Curtis.
- 40:34Speaker 9: If you're on the thirty in you're a female, he's flirty.
- 40:38Speaker 9: If you're over sixty five, he could end up killing
- 40:42Speaker 9: you in a long term nursing home. Jaub oh Man,
- 40:44Speaker 9: you're only safe if you're between dirty and sixty five,
- 40:48Speaker 9: A multiply handy and handsy andy.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty good, pretty good. Let me see if there's
- 40:55Speaker 1: any more here now, we'll ask Curtis. He'll be here
- 40:58Speaker 1: later this hour. These billionaire are all calling them, trying
- 41:01Speaker 1: to get him out of the race. They're all trying
- 41:02Speaker 1: to bribe, and they're offering money jobs, they're all anything.
- 41:05Speaker 1: They're trying to bribe. Listen to Curtis.
- 41:07Speaker 9: I told them what you're doing is that that the goal.
- 41:13Speaker 17: It's bribery and it might be illegal, And the next
- 41:19Speaker 17: time you talk to me, I'll be winded up like
- 41:21Speaker 17: a Christmas Street.
- 41:25Speaker 1: More formal.
- 41:26Speaker 16: Let me see, I will build affordable hundreds of thousands
- 41:31Speaker 16: of units of affordable housing. I did it as secretary
- 41:34Speaker 16: all across the nation. And that's how you're going to
- 41:37Speaker 16: get the rent down by increasing the supply. I will
- 41:40Speaker 16: hire five thousand police officers and make New York City safer,
- 41:45Speaker 16: and put fifteen hundred on the subways and make the
- 41:48Speaker 16: subways safer.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Right, lots of promises, lots of promises, but he certainly
- 41:54Speaker 1: didn't do all that stuff as governor. But hey, very
- 41:57Speaker 1: important thing. We have listeners all over the tri state.
- 42:00Speaker 1: If you're in Westchester, everybody's got to get out and
- 42:03Speaker 1: vote tomorrow. It's not just the mayoral race, but you
- 42:05Speaker 1: got to get out and vote. Very important. If you're
- 42:07Speaker 1: in Manhattan, get rid of the district Attorney, Alvin Bragg.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Vote for Maud Maren the Republican. She'll put people in
- 42:14Speaker 1: jail onlike Alvin Bragg, So very important. Get rid of
- 42:19Speaker 1: Alvin Bragg. Vote for Maud Marron, great strong law enforcement
- 42:23Speaker 1: DA candidate. That's in Manhattan. Wherever you are in New
- 42:27Speaker 1: York City, get rid of your city council crazy left loons. Now,
- 42:31Speaker 1: if you want to protect yourself against Mom Donnie, this
- 42:33Speaker 1: is what you got to do. Get as many Republicans
- 42:35Speaker 1: as you can in the city Council, and if you
- 42:37Speaker 1: live in Westchester, you're going to have to protect against
- 42:40Speaker 1: Mom Donnie. So make sure you vote for the Republican
- 42:44Speaker 1: candidate tomorrow for county executive. I forget her name, Is
- 42:48Speaker 1: it her? I think not sure? Well, whoever, it doesn't
- 42:52Speaker 1: matter who it is. Just pull the Republican lever in
- 42:54Speaker 1: Westchester County. Get yourself a Republican county executive tomorrow in
- 42:59Speaker 1: west Now, if you're in Nassau County, Bruce Blakeman is
- 43:02Speaker 1: the best county executive in America. Everybody loves him, but
- 43:06Speaker 1: he's still up for reelection, so make sure you get
- 43:07Speaker 1: out there and vote for him. There's been early voting
- 43:10Speaker 1: in Nassau County. They say heavy, heavy Republican turnout has
- 43:15Speaker 1: been going on. But just to be sure, get out
- 43:17Speaker 1: there and vote for Bruce Blakeman tomorrow Nassau County Executive.
- 43:21Speaker 1: If you're in New Jersey, of course, vote for Jack Chittarelly,
- 43:26Speaker 1: who's it's very close in the polls, very good. Christine
- 43:31Speaker 1: Sculty is the one running in Westchester for County executive.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Christine Scalty, make sure you vote for her. May vote
- 43:38Speaker 1: for Chittarelly in New Jersey tomorrow, Connecticut. I don't know
- 43:43Speaker 1: to tell you who's Oh, Greenwich, Connecticut seems to be
- 43:46Speaker 1: the suburb everybody's going to flee to. There's a report
- 43:50Speaker 1: now that prices in Greenwich, Connecticut, that's the closest and
- 43:53Speaker 1: nicest town in Connecticut. Prices are going crazy. Inventory is
- 43:57Speaker 1: down to practically nothing. But you got the best mayor
- 44:00Speaker 1: you've ever had there, Fred Camillo. He's the Republican. Make
- 44:03Speaker 1: sure you reelect him tomorrow. Vote for Fred Camillo. Very popular,
- 44:07Speaker 1: he's been two terms already. Great great mayor there, Fred Camillo.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Well else, Yes, city council is important. Changed that city
- 44:17Speaker 1: council because they believe or not, city council actually has
- 44:19Speaker 1: more power to do things in New York than the
- 44:22Speaker 1: mayor does. Curtis not getting out of the race. Stop
- 44:25Speaker 1: with that. As we mentioned before, the mob tried to
- 44:29Speaker 1: stop him. They sent like four guys with baseball bats
- 44:32Speaker 1: who beat him to a pulp. That didn't stop him.
- 44:35Speaker 1: He kept attacking. They got him in the back of
- 44:38Speaker 1: a cab, shot him five times from his hospital bett.
- 44:40Speaker 1: He kept attacking him. That was quite an instant. In fact,
- 44:45Speaker 1: we all used to work at the other place. Back then,
- 44:47Speaker 1: Rush Shawn me everybody. Curtis got shot five times. It
- 44:52Speaker 1: was just like in The Godfather, Remember where Salatso says
- 44:56Speaker 1: five bullets, the guy's still alive. Well that was Curtis.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Next day Rush bought Curtis and Suv said, don't get
- 45:04Speaker 1: in any more cabs, use this car. I remember I
- 45:08Speaker 1: used to It was remembers Curtis and Koobe. They were
- 45:10Speaker 1: the number one morning show for you remember, of course, big, big, big,
- 45:16Speaker 1: big morning show for twenty years. But I used to
- 45:19Speaker 1: fill in a lot, and I remember it. Right after
- 45:21Speaker 1: he was shot. It'd be me and Curtis in the
- 45:23Speaker 1: studio with twelve detectives, right after the shooting, surrounded by
- 45:28Speaker 1: detectives around the clock, because apparently the mob was still
- 45:31Speaker 1: out to get him. If that didn't get them to stop.
- 45:34Speaker 1: I don't think a few billionaires with their bribes is
- 45:36Speaker 1: going to do any good. Marathon yesterday, New York Marathon.
- 45:41Speaker 1: This is called the Kenya Marathon. Nobody in New York's
- 45:43Speaker 1: going to win this marathon. Nobody in New York's going
- 45:45Speaker 1: to even come close. Now today, walking to work all
- 45:52Speaker 1: over the street, are these people with the medals on
- 45:55Speaker 1: the marathon medals. Apparently they're all staying in this neighborhood
- 45:58Speaker 1: around the station, all the hotels. This is where they are,
- 46:02Speaker 1: and they walk around with the medals on. You know,
- 46:06Speaker 1: it's like these people that won't take the ski lift
- 46:08Speaker 1: tickets off the jacket. They got all the ski lift
- 46:11Speaker 1: tags there, so you're supposed to see that. They're excuse
- 46:13Speaker 1: so you're supposed to see the metal. One year, somebody
- 46:18Speaker 1: came to work with the marathon medal. Everybody was so
- 46:22Speaker 1: crist So I went on eBay. I bought like six
- 46:24Speaker 1: marathon medals from previous years. I just put them all
- 46:27Speaker 1: on and came in with that on. Although I got
- 46:29Speaker 1: to admit I saw these medals on people today. It's
- 46:31Speaker 1: the best looking marathon medal I've ever seen. I mean,
- 46:33Speaker 1: just as jewelry. It's beautiful. Hey, Barack Obama was in
- 46:39Speaker 1: New Jersey campaigning for Mikey Cheryl and he started going
- 46:42Speaker 1: after Trump, and he started attacking the ballroom that Trump
- 46:46Speaker 1: is building on the East Wing. You've seen the pictures
- 46:49Speaker 1: of the drawings. The ballroom is going to be magnificent.
- 46:54Speaker 1: When the most beautiful ballrooms ever built. It's absolutely spectacular,
- 46:58Speaker 1: and there was Obama attack. A lot of people thought
- 47:01Speaker 1: that was really crazy, since he is currently building what
- 47:04Speaker 1: is considered to be the single ugliest building ever built
- 47:08Speaker 1: in America. Go take a look at my Twitter if
- 47:10Speaker 1: you want to see it. It's up. Pictures are up
- 47:12Speaker 1: there on Twitter. It's the it's his presidential library. It
- 47:16Speaker 1: is the most hideous, ugly building everybody's ever seen. People
- 47:21Speaker 1: think that the pictures are a joke. This is actually
- 47:23Speaker 1: his presidential library. It's a big, ugly, enormous, like five
- 47:28Speaker 1: story slab of concrete. It looks like a big tombstone.
- 47:31Speaker 1: It says gray, ugly cement. It's the ugliest building you've
- 47:35Speaker 1: ever seen. And he probably should be investigated and arrested
- 47:40Speaker 1: for what he's doing because they raised eight hundred and
- 47:43Speaker 1: fifty million and they've spent it and now it's they're
- 47:47Speaker 1: having overruns. If you look at this building, if I
- 47:50Speaker 1: told you this building costs a million dollars, you'd think
- 47:52Speaker 1: I was insane. He's supposedly spent eight hundred and fifty
- 47:56Speaker 1: million on this hideous, ridiculous looking building that's disgusting looking,
- 48:02Speaker 1: and he has the nerve to criticize the ballroom unbelievable.
- 48:07Speaker 1: So oh World Series. That was quite a game. Actually,
- 48:11Speaker 1: I don't really care about Dodgers. Well, I guess I
- 48:13Speaker 1: like the Dodgers. I don't really care about the Toronto
- 48:17Speaker 1: Blue Jays, although they seem to have more American players
- 48:20Speaker 1: on the Blue Jays than on the Dodgers. But it
- 48:24Speaker 1: was quite an ending, quite a final game. Here's the
- 48:26Speaker 1: final call, double play end of the game.
- 48:29Speaker 14: EDEO two swinging a broken bat roller out to short
- 48:32Speaker 14: that's up with it steps out second on.
- 48:35Speaker 17: The first and it's a double play, and the Dodgers
- 48:39Speaker 17: have won it. Here in eleven the Dodgers turned the
- 48:43Speaker 17: double play and finish off the.
- 48:45Speaker 14: Jays five for the final. The Dodgers repeat champions for
- 48:51Speaker 14: the first time in baseball in twenty five years.
- 48:56Speaker 1: No, of course it's Los Angeles. The Dodgers won, so
- 49:00Speaker 1: naturally in Los Angeles. Everybody's out in the street rioting,
- 49:03Speaker 1: cops that are used tear gas people totally. I control fires, looting,
- 49:08Speaker 1: every that's Los Angeles. Hey, Curtis will be with us
- 49:11Speaker 1: in a few minutes. We'll talk to Curtis lee Win
- 49:13Speaker 1: a few minutes. We'll take some calls. Next eight hundred
- 49:15Speaker 1: three to two one zero seven ten. Is the number
- 49:18Speaker 1: eight hundred three two one zero seven ten the Mark
- 49:22Speaker 1: Simone Show on seven to ten. Woo Hey, Curtis will
- 49:28Speaker 1: be with us in a few minutes. But first let's
- 49:31Speaker 1: take some calls. Let's go to uh Sal in Brooklyn, Sal,
- 49:34Speaker 1: How you doing?
- 49:36Speaker 11: I'm good.
- 49:37Speaker 1: Are they taking a shower?
- 49:39Speaker 16: Well?
- 49:40Speaker 3: I was just shaving, shaving.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Eleven thirty worse than me. Go ahead.
- 49:48Speaker 11: We have to reform the illegal immigration system.
- 49:51Speaker 1: I thought we were doing that.
- 49:54Speaker 18: Is this the.
- 49:54Speaker 11: Immigration Act of nineteen sixty five that's causing all these
- 49:58Speaker 11: Marxists in Islamist come into our country, and worse than that,
- 50:02Speaker 11: they're getting there being granted citizenship.
- 50:06Speaker 1: Yeah, you can thank the Democrats in nineteen sixty five
- 50:09Speaker 1: for that immigration I guess it probably should change out. Well,
- 50:12Speaker 1: you can't come in if you're a Marxist looking to
- 50:14Speaker 1: destroy the country. You guys got start enforcing that, and
- 50:17Speaker 1: we hopefully are. The border is now closed and we
- 50:20Speaker 1: are grilling people before they come in. Let's go to
- 50:24Speaker 1: Joel in Florida. Joel, how you doing.
- 50:26Speaker 19: Good morning, Mark, I hope you had a good weekend.
- 50:29Speaker 19: Good morning, Vincent, Good morning Mara. Just calling I know
- 50:32Speaker 19: you're going to have Curtis on shortly. I'm just calling
- 50:34Speaker 19: to encourage him. Don't let anything get in your way whatsoever.
- 50:37Speaker 19: The people of New York City are behind you. MONDOMMI
- 50:41Speaker 19: we know it's not from this area, from the New
- 50:43Speaker 19: York area, and Cuomo is not from New York. Curtis
- 50:47Speaker 19: Is has been, always will be because I want to
- 50:50Speaker 19: make sure that he's fully fully encourage keep ongoing.
- 50:53Speaker 1: All right, thanks for calling. Unfortunately you're in Florida. You
- 50:56Speaker 1: can't vote here. You know, we got all these calls.
- 50:57Speaker 1: They're all in the suburbs. They're in Florida, they're in
- 51:00Speaker 1: Here's a guy in Wisconsin, Joseph, how you doing good?
- 51:05Speaker 11: Good A Joe from a white Stone?
- 51:08Speaker 3: Oh?
- 51:08Speaker 1: I think I said Wisconsin. All right, go ahead, white Stone.
- 51:11Speaker 9: Oh.
- 51:13Speaker 10: I just want to say something about Donald Trump's Christmas
- 51:19Speaker 10: the Trump Watch. Why doesn't he come out with a
- 51:21Speaker 10: Trump hairspry.
- 51:23Speaker 1: Well, you know, actually, if you want stuff, there is
- 51:27Speaker 1: a Trump's store. If you're in Manhattan, go to Trump Tower.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Trump Tower. Take the escalator, that's the one he came
- 51:34Speaker 1: down on when he announced the campaign. Take the escalator
- 51:37Speaker 1: downstairs the basement. There's a beautiful Trump's store. It's a
- 51:40Speaker 1: great place for Christmas shopping. They have everything Trump in there.
- 51:43Speaker 1: I mean obviously they got the hats, the shirts, but
- 51:45Speaker 1: everything toat bags, ashtrays, glasses, anything with Trump on it.
- 51:50Speaker 1: It's beautiful stuff too. So take a look down there.
- 51:53Speaker 1: Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 51:56Speaker 18: Good morning, Mark, Good morning, Marraw, Good morning Joe. I
- 52:00Speaker 18: care about the Dodgers in fact, and I run my
- 52:04Speaker 18: first illegal gambling bet when Sandy Kofax was the pitcher
- 52:09Speaker 18: for the Dodgers back back in the day. Seriously, I
- 52:13Speaker 18: won my first bet, Mark. Carol Markowitz was on Buck
- 52:18Speaker 18: and Clay Show the other day and she referred to
- 52:21Speaker 18: these thirty percent of the so called ashke Nazi Jews
- 52:26Speaker 18: that have voted for Mandami. She called them the bagels
- 52:30Speaker 18: and cream cheese and the New York Times Jews. They
- 52:33Speaker 18: think they're Jews just because they do all of that.
- 52:38Speaker 9: Mark.
- 52:40Speaker 18: Yesterday, over the weekend, that creep, that big wind bag J. D.
- 52:46Speaker 18: Pritska of Chicago was addressing the teachers union out there.
- 52:51Speaker 18: First off, he usually when referring to Trump, he used
- 52:54Speaker 18: a lot of curses which were so class look like himself.
- 52:58Speaker 18: But this is a good idea. Why don't all these
- 53:02Speaker 18: big blue cities New York, La, Boston, Atlanta, the big
- 53:10Speaker 18: cities in Jersey, why don't they pony up the money
- 53:14Speaker 18: for the EBT cards for the snap benefits, because after all,
- 53:19Speaker 18: they took the money out of the city's colliz.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Well, some of them are doing that. The governor's trying
- 53:23Speaker 1: to do that right now. But Vincent, great call. When
- 53:26Speaker 1: we come back, Curtis Leewell, we'll talk to him next.
- 53:30Speaker 1: We'll get all the latest on the race from Curtis.
- 53:32Speaker 1: We'll talk to him next on seven to ten. WR
- 53:36Speaker 1: get hits in access to Mark by setting a freeset
- 53:39Speaker 1: in the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
- 53:44Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on WR. I
- 53:48Speaker 1: thinking about how to introduce Curtis Well, what I think?
- 53:51Speaker 1: You don't have to introduce him. Everybody knows him, everybody
- 53:53Speaker 1: loves Curtis Lee. Well, he's the Republican candidate for mayor.
- 53:56Speaker 1: Make sure you get out there and vote tomorrow. And
- 53:58Speaker 1: he's with us right now. Curtis Leewall, how you doing.
- 54:02Speaker 9: I'm doing great. I'm in Brooklyn, criss crossing the five
- 54:06Speaker 9: boroughs heading the Staten Island. And I got to tell
- 54:09Speaker 9: you there's a lot of energy out there, Mark, a
- 54:12Speaker 9: lot of love. And as you said, everybody loves Curtis.
- 54:15Speaker 9: Now I just got to get them to vote for me.
- 54:17Speaker 1: Yeah, and you can vote for him tomorrow. And there's
- 54:20Speaker 1: no voting today but tomorrow. Hey, I got to ask
- 54:23Speaker 1: you this is a very important question. Did you watch
- 54:24Speaker 1: Saturday Night Live? Did you see the sketch they did?
- 54:28Speaker 9: Yes? I did. I didn't watch it live, obviously, I
- 54:30Speaker 9: watched it in the wee hours of the morning, as
- 54:33Speaker 9: you know, Mark, having been my colleague for years. Yes,
- 54:37Speaker 9: I love satire. I love parodies and that's exactly what
- 54:41Speaker 9: Saturday Night Live is. Take it to leave it. It
- 54:45Speaker 9: has no impact on the campaign.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Well, actually brought up the fact that your former life,
- 54:52Speaker 1: your bravery, courage standing up to the mob. No matter
- 54:54Speaker 1: what they did you, you didn't back down. They portrayed
- 54:57Speaker 1: Coomo as kind of a sleazy part politician, They did
- 55:01Speaker 1: the Mondami as a guy who can't deliver anything. So
- 55:04Speaker 1: take it as a compliment. It was pretty good for you.
- 55:06Speaker 9: That's true. It pretty much came across that if you
- 55:10Speaker 9: were a young woman. If you are under thirty, Cuomo
- 55:13Speaker 9: would be flirty with you. So I got a good
- 55:16Speaker 9: belly laugh out of that.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Yeah, now let me ask you again. The mob. They
- 55:20Speaker 1: tried to kill you numerous times, they shied you, they
- 55:23Speaker 1: did everything. You didn't back down. So why would a
- 55:25Speaker 1: billionaire think you're going to back down if he tries
- 55:27Speaker 1: to bribe you out of the race.
- 55:29Speaker 9: Well, because Mark, as some have said to me, come on, Curtis,
- 55:33Speaker 9: everybody has a price. The final offer was ten million,
- 55:38Speaker 9: drop out of the race. Ten million. You'll be a hero,
- 55:42Speaker 9: I said, hero, I said, I'm the only Republican candidate.
- 55:45Speaker 9: I'm a mainstream Kennedy. You want me to throw my
- 55:48Speaker 9: support to a loser, a guy who, when he started
- 55:52Speaker 9: a March of twenty twenty five, was forty points ahead
- 55:56Speaker 9: of Johan Mandami in the Democratic primary. And you remember Mark,
- 55:59Speaker 9: nobody jo Amandami, only his neighbors and a story into it,
- 56:03Speaker 9: I said, because of Angel CMO's failure to campaign, it
- 56:07Speaker 9: elevated this guy, this this socialist, this guy wants to
- 56:12Speaker 9: destroy New York to international status. So now you're gonna
- 56:16Speaker 9: leave it to Angrew CMO again. Well, look, failure follows failure.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, let me ask you a question. These people
- 56:24Speaker 1: that say get out of the race. You could not
- 56:26Speaker 1: get out of the race if you wanted to, could you?
- 56:28Speaker 1: How would you get out? You can't take your name
- 56:30Speaker 1: off the ballot?
- 56:31Speaker 9: No, And it's interesting, Mark, you still have people say, oh,
- 56:35Speaker 9: you could drop out today? Are you nuts? Are you
- 56:39Speaker 9: people out there who babble this out of fear fright
- 56:42Speaker 9: and his steria of Johanmandami? Do you not understand it's
- 56:46Speaker 9: one person, one vote. Billionaires, influences, insiders are not gonna
- 56:50Speaker 9: pick the next mayor. The people are and you're You're
- 56:54Speaker 9: totally right, Mark. I am the Republican Kennedy. There are
- 56:57Speaker 9: only two major parties. Johan won his prime Mary fairren
- 57:00Speaker 9: square and kicked angew Adams. But there's no doubt about it.
- 57:05Speaker 9: Beat him by thirteen points convincingly. And I nobody challenged
- 57:10Speaker 9: me in a Republican primary. The time to challenge me
- 57:13Speaker 9: was then, So guess what I'm in it to win?
- 57:15Speaker 9: It got a lot of support out to have been
- 57:17Speaker 9: rallying people throughout the five boroughs and you know me, Mark,
- 57:22Speaker 9: twenty hours of a twenty four hour day, I'm campaigning.
- 57:26Speaker 9: I just came from Coney Island, Stillwell Avenue where I
- 57:29Speaker 9: laid a reef at the site where remember Debrina Kwam
- 57:33Speaker 9: was set on fire like a human torch December twenty
- 57:36Speaker 9: second of twenty twenty four by that illegal aliad. And
- 57:41Speaker 9: what was that the result of Democrats? What was that
- 57:43Speaker 9: to result off Eric Adams Swagerman with no plan, who
- 57:47Speaker 9: should have been in jail for corruption, and Andrew Cuomo
- 57:51Speaker 9: no cash bail, Cuomo raised eh Cuomo turned criminals loose
- 57:55Speaker 9: from Rights Island. Cuomo, And you think Democrats are gonna
- 57:59Speaker 9: rest door law enforcement to where it needs to be,
- 58:03Speaker 9: like in the days of Rudy Giuliani. No I am
- 58:07Speaker 9: Rudy Giuliani two point zero Marcus. You know he's endorsed me.
- 58:10Speaker 9: George Pataki has endorsed me. Ninety three. Rudy saved the city.
- 58:15Speaker 9: The next year PATTACKI beat to better. Cuomo, Mario Conmo.
- 58:18Speaker 9: We had no corruption, we had a reduction in crime
- 58:22Speaker 9: and no chaos. Then the Democrats came back with a vengine.
- 58:26Speaker 9: We had Dablagio. Then you had Cmo as governor who
- 58:30Speaker 9: fled fearing impeachment, and Eric Adams, who should be in jail,
- 58:34Speaker 9: more chaos, more corruption, more crime. It's obvious we go
- 58:38Speaker 9: the Republican route. Elect me mayor. Next year, we elect
- 58:41Speaker 9: congresswoman at least Stefani to be the governor. We poo
- 58:45Speaker 9: own Kathy Hokl, and we get this state and city
- 58:48Speaker 9: back on track.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Now, when he says Rudy Giuliani two point out, let
- 58:51Speaker 1: me point out. Rudy Giuliani said, he's Rudy Giuliani two
- 58:54Speaker 1: point out. So Rudy himself said that, you know, mom,
- 59:00Speaker 1: Donnie only became a citizen like a couple months ago,
- 59:03Speaker 1: and he just recently became a US citizen, moved here.
- 59:06Speaker 1: Cuomo has lived his entire adult life in the suburbs.
- 59:09Speaker 1: You're an expert historian. If we ever had somebody run
- 59:11Speaker 1: from mayor who didn't live in New York City in
- 59:14Speaker 1: their adult life.
- 59:16Speaker 9: No, no, that was almost a prerequisite that you had
- 59:20Speaker 9: that credibility. But again, times have changed, and Mark simone
- 59:24Speaker 9: one thing I can tell all of your listeners, Boy,
- 59:27Speaker 9: have you been consistent? Mark? You warned everybody in twenty
- 59:31Speaker 9: twenty one that if they elected Eric Adams against me
- 59:35Speaker 9: there would be chaos and corruption. You were spot on.
- 59:38Speaker 9: You've been with me every step of the way, and
- 59:41Speaker 9: I just want to thank you at WOORR because you've
- 59:45Speaker 9: been a strong supporter. They've given me equal opportunity to
- 59:50Speaker 9: speak on issues. The place that I left for ever, Mark,
- 59:54Speaker 9: I burned old bridges WABC ooh.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Fo, well you did get that burning that bridge. We
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: all love that place. We were all there for years.
- 1:00:04Speaker 9: That'll work out maybe maybe you Mark, not me. Damage
- 1:00:08Speaker 9: has been done. That's where this whole movement to drop
- 1:00:11Speaker 9: out sleeve was started. It should have never started in
- 1:00:15Speaker 9: the family, it did. So now hey, Mark, I get
- 1:00:18Speaker 9: to listen to WOR all the time. Isn't that great?
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Well yeah, yeah, hey, doors always open here. But we
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: will hope you'll be mayor, but that that would be
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: even better for New York.
- 1:00:31Speaker 9: Yeah, well, I'll tell you this. How about this ask
- 1:00:33Speaker 9: the mayor Friday's mid mornings. We get an hour a
- 1:00:37Speaker 9: courtis lee at some point in the day, and you
- 1:00:40Speaker 9: get to be the inquisitor of March Simone. Because nobody's
- 1:00:44Speaker 9: been on radio longer, nobody has the credibility of the
- 1:00:47Speaker 9: pedigree you do. Nobody knows more about radio than March Simon.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Well thanks, Well, Curtis lely, what would be a great
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: mayor of New York? Now, what do you do tonight
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: and tomorrow? Obviously no campaign tomorrow, or do you still
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: do it?
- 1:01:02Speaker 9: No? No, I go with my wife. She'll be voting
- 1:01:04Speaker 9: on a independent line she created for me. Protect animals,
- 1:01:08Speaker 9: no killed shelters, and we put animal abuses in jail.
- 1:01:12Speaker 9: And then I run around to all the policing sites
- 1:01:15Speaker 9: shaking the hands of the Board of Election employees. What
- 1:01:19Speaker 9: had been having to work hard with early voting, and
- 1:01:21Speaker 9: tomorrow we may have a record setting vote that hasn't
- 1:01:24Speaker 9: been equal since John Lindsey in nineteen sixty nine, the
- 1:01:30Speaker 9: miracle met half a million strong up the woodstock and
- 1:01:34Speaker 9: the first man walking on the moon. It's all come
- 1:01:37Speaker 9: full circle, Marks some one. Yeah.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: The fact that the turnout is like five six times normal,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: We'll probably hit over two million votes, which is unheard of.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: What does that mean? Who are these extra people turning out?
- 1:01:48Speaker 9: Don't know? Mark? I know my people were turning out
- 1:01:51Speaker 9: because we micro targeted them months in advance. And as
- 1:01:54Speaker 9: you know, that's what politics is now, That's how Trump
- 1:01:57Speaker 9: got elected. Overwhelmingly won the popular vote to seven battleground states.
- 1:02:02Speaker 9: The RNC was out there months and months ahead of time.
- 1:02:05Speaker 9: Door knocking, lid dropping, emails, snail mails, texting and phone
- 1:02:11Speaker 9: calls relentlessly. But the most important thing micro targeting. Knowing
- 1:02:14Speaker 9: where your voters are. We've been at this more than
- 1:02:17Speaker 9: three months. We know that's how Zoron won the primary.
- 1:02:20Speaker 9: I gotta tell you, Mark Simoon into Cuomo again, just
- 1:02:25Speaker 9: like in the primary, got a get out the vote
- 1:02:28Speaker 9: effort very late into this campaign. This has to be
- 1:02:31Speaker 9: done months and months ahead. And look, he's been a
- 1:02:35Speaker 9: dollar short, although he's had millions and millions and millions
- 1:02:39Speaker 9: from the billionaires, but a dollar short when it's time
- 1:02:42Speaker 9: to get that vote out. And he's been a dayly
- 1:02:45Speaker 9: and today he said he's partly gonna do retail campaigning.
- 1:02:48Speaker 9: He's going to come out of those closed meetings where
- 1:02:51Speaker 9: you get vetted, where you you're giving a band on
- 1:02:55Speaker 9: your wrisk to prove that you're a Cuomo supporter. He's
- 1:02:59Speaker 9: afraid he hasn't a version that deal with people. I
- 1:03:02Speaker 9: treat the public like a mosh pit. I'm in the
- 1:03:04Speaker 9: subways every day with friends and foes and a lot
- 1:03:07Speaker 9: of people asking questions. That's how you win elections. And
- 1:03:11Speaker 9: I will be campaigning right through the overnight, going from subways,
- 1:03:16Speaker 9: the streets, the diners and trying to get those last
- 1:03:19Speaker 9: votes before electioneering stops. And then we just wait for
- 1:03:24Speaker 9: the tabulation on November fourth tonight.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: That's tomorrow night, and so nine o'clock tomorrow night the
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: polls close. Where will you be tomorrow night?
- 1:03:33Speaker 9: I'll probably still be fielding calls from Govans out there,
- 1:03:36Speaker 9: Mark Samon telling me to drop out. Suck sub be
- 1:03:40Speaker 9: your sub govon so still not We'll be saying, hey, Sleeward,
- 1:03:45Speaker 9: did you consider a unity taken that you consider dropping out?
- 1:03:50Speaker 9: I don't know. They've lost their minds smart, They've gone crazy.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: How much money would you say? You've turned down? Twenty million,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: thirty million altogether now.
- 1:03:59Speaker 9: Now the seventh half pot was ten million dollars. And
- 1:04:03Speaker 9: then I warned them that from now on I will
- 1:04:06Speaker 9: be wired up like a Christmas tree, so anything they
- 1:04:09Speaker 9: offer to me will be heard by investigators. And all
- 1:04:12Speaker 9: of a sudden the call stop. And then what they
- 1:04:15Speaker 9: threatened my wife Nancy. They threatened me I now have
- 1:04:18Speaker 9: to travel with armed security. You know, Mark, you were
- 1:04:21Speaker 9: in the studios at WABC after I got shot. I
- 1:04:24Speaker 9: never had armed security, and the mob was still after me.
- 1:04:27Speaker 9: But this election cycle, the hate, the rhetoric, the absolute
- 1:04:33Speaker 9: insanity on the minds of some people have caused me
- 1:04:38Speaker 9: to have to protect the best thing that ever happened
- 1:04:40Speaker 9: to me, my wife Nancy, who's been with me side
- 1:04:43Speaker 9: by side in this campaign. Can't say that about Zoramandami.
- 1:04:47Speaker 9: We never see his wife. And hey, you know, with Andrew,
- 1:04:50Speaker 9: he's a little too handy. I don't think many women
- 1:04:52Speaker 9: want to be around him.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Well, Curtis, good luck. I'd love to see his mayor.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: You'd be a great mayor of New York. And we
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: don't know what's going to happen tomorrow, but good luck
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: with everything, and.
- 1:05:04Speaker 9: We'll turn out. And you've always been there giving me
- 1:05:06Speaker 9: that tactically as report. I appreciate that, and I appreciate
- 1:05:09Speaker 9: all the listeners and those who have contributed to your
- 1:05:13Speaker 9: success at war.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: All right, Curtis, good luck, Thanks for being with us anytime. Mark,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: all right, take care. Yeah, it's too crazy. Erase with
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: the polls. Their polls are not that accurate. We don't
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: know what's going to happen. You can't trust these polls.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Anything could happen tomorrow. Hey, Buck and Clay, excellent show
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: every day, Buck and Clay noon to three. I'll be
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: the guest today at I'll be one of the guests today.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I'll be on about one thirty on the Buck and
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Clay Show. So'll be listening to that today on seven
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: to ten. WR Mark Simone, come on WR Hey, we're
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: out of time. I'll be back tomorrow. Tomorrow's election day.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Make sure you get out in votes. I'll be here
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: tomorrow ten to noon. I'll be a guest on Buck
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: and Clay today about one thirty. Uh, if you gotta,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: if you can listen otherwise, they'll be here next noon
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: to three. And I'll talk to you tomorrow on seven
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: ten W O. R.
