- 1:37Speaker 3: the most out of your spiritual journey, use Pray.com every
- 1:40Speaker 3: day and make prayer a priority in your life. Our
- 1:45Speaker 3: goal for today's meditative prayer is morning gratitude, so just
- 1:49Speaker 3: take a second to relax. Look for a comfortable and
- 1:52Speaker 3: quiet place, a place where your focus this morning can
- 1:56Speaker 3: be on this moment of reflection. Close your eyes and
- 2:00Speaker 3: take a deep breath. And as you exhale, release the
- 2:05Speaker 3: thoughts shifting around in your head. We'll be meditating on
- 2:09Speaker 3: Psalm 118 verse 24 from the King James Version. It says,
- 2:15Speaker 3: Now take a moment to pour out your adoration to
- 2:24Speaker 3: God for blessing you with this day. God, I praise
- 2:28Speaker 3: you for this day and its possibilities for this opportunity
- 2:33Speaker 3: I praise you, the maker of this day and all
- 2:37Speaker 3: others to come. God, I worship you for giving me
- 2:40Speaker 3: the ability to be glad and to rejoice in this day.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I praise you, the creator of the heavens and the
- 2:48Speaker 3: earth and everything in between. I know that you have
- 2:51Speaker 3: created this day for me and given me a purpose
- 2:54Speaker 3: within it. You see, each day is a new beginning.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Sometimes That is seen as an opportunity and sometimes as
- 3:03Speaker 3: a burden. Your perspective will affect your outcome. Outcomes of
- 3:09Speaker 3: great joy and happiness are within your grasp. That is
- 3:14Speaker 3: not to say there are no difficult days. Some days
- 3:18Speaker 3: will be stifling and stressful, filled with shortcomings and setbacks.
- 3:23Speaker 3: But let us now reflect for a moment on the
- 3:25Speaker 3: times your choices were less than optimistic. Think on those
- 3:30Speaker 3: situations where hardship got the best of you. Recent moments
- 3:36Speaker 3: and circumstances in life that have been robbing you of
- 3:39Speaker 3: your daily joy. Gather all those choices, decisions, and thoughts
- 3:46Speaker 3: and place them in the hands of Jesus. Confess to
- 3:51Speaker 3: the Lord your feelings of apathy, sadness, and discouragement. And
- 3:58Speaker 3: let the Holy Spirit minister to the areas of your
- 4:01Speaker 3: heart where joy does not reign. My friends, take a
- 4:07Speaker 3: moment now to dwell on previous mornings filled with joy
- 4:11Speaker 3: and filled with gladness. Remember how it felt to allow
- 4:15Speaker 3: cheerfulness to prevail over sadness. How wonderful it was to
- 4:19Speaker 3: go about your day with a smile in your heart.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Think how infectious happiness can be. Recollect past situations where
- 4:29Speaker 3: you chose to start your day on a positive note.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Thank God for the ability to feel gladness and to rejoice.
- 4:37Speaker 3: And give thanks for the moments when happiness was greater
- 4:40Speaker 3: than hopelessness. Thank God for the blessings of past seasons
- 4:45Speaker 3: of cheerfulness and contentment and for those yet to come.
- 4:49Speaker 3: And thank Him for the strength to choose joy and
- 4:52Speaker 3: to keep choosing it day after day. Do not forget,
- 4:58Speaker 3: God is present and he is listening to you. He
- 5:02Speaker 3: desires for you to live a life filled with joy
- 5:04Speaker 3: and gladness. Jesus wants to turn your sorrow into joy
- 5:09Speaker 3: and your mourning into dancing.
- 5:12Speaker 1: So let him.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Pray for joy overwhelming, a joy that renews each day.
- 5:19Speaker 3: And ask the Holy Spirit to teach you to find
- 5:21Speaker 3: joy even in the midst of sorrow. Ask him to
- 5:24Speaker 3: fill your heart with gladness beyond measure. Because remember, God
- 5:30Speaker 3: has called us to live a life filled with joy
- 5:32Speaker 3: and gladness. And even in the midst of hardship, happiness
- 5:36Speaker 3: can be had. Do not be discouraged by past setbacks.
- 5:41Speaker 3: You must remember there is always a choice and there
- 5:45Speaker 3: is power in choosing. Your choice can and does affect
- 5:51Speaker 3: your outcome. So choose joy for today and for every
- 5:55Speaker 3: day to come. Choose the joy of the Lord and
- 5:59Speaker 3: watch as that joy transforms your life. My friends, thank
