Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: I'm very well about you.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Yeah, fantastic, not too bad.
- 0:04Speaker 3: We're very excited here today because, as you probably know,
- 0:07Speaker 3: we are releasing the lineup for Good Things Festival and
- 0:12Speaker 3: you guys Simple Plan are back to play Good Things
- 0:15Speaker 3: after seven years. What do you remember about that show and.
- 0:18Speaker 2: What are you looking forward to most about coming back.
- 0:21Speaker 4: It's been seven years, no way, it's crazy. It doesn't
- 0:25Speaker 4: feel that long, to be honest. What I remember it
- 0:29Speaker 4: was like just a kick ass festival. It's like everybody's nice,
- 0:33Speaker 4: you know. I like the fact that it was sort
- 0:35Speaker 4: of a blend of a lot of genres. So for
- 0:37Speaker 4: me as a music lover, I think it's cool, you know,
- 0:41Speaker 4: like it's really neat to be checking out other bands
- 0:44Speaker 4: that I love. I had some friends you know, on
- 0:46Speaker 4: the on the on the past editions this time around.
- 0:50Speaker 4: To be honest with you, I'm going to learn about
- 0:51Speaker 4: the lineup as you do. I know some people, but
- 0:55Speaker 4: I don't know everybody, so it's pretty exciting. I think
- 0:59Speaker 4: it's it's just a real For me, it's just you know,
- 1:01Speaker 4: it's amazing to be back in Australia.
- 1:03Speaker 1: That's the best part.
- 1:05Speaker 4: So you know, I'm just looking forward to that to
- 1:07Speaker 4: be honest on a very selfish level.
- 1:10Speaker 3: That's okay. You're allowed to be selfish. Everyone loves coming here,
- 1:13Speaker 3: thank goodness, which is nice. What in particular, in particular
- 1:17Speaker 3: are you looking forward to about coming back to Australia.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I mean, the shows are always great.
- 1:23Speaker 4: You know. It's fun reconnecting with you know, like our fans.
- 1:27Speaker 4: It's interesting in this day and age because you communicate
- 1:30Speaker 4: with fans, you know, on social media and you don't
- 1:33Speaker 4: necessarily realize that, you know, some people are in Australia
- 1:36Speaker 4: or you know even like further away Japan, well not
- 1:39Speaker 4: further away, but just you know, like as far away Japan, Indonesia,
- 1:43Speaker 4: you know, and and and and sometimes like when for instance,
- 1:46Speaker 4: for us, when we finish shows, you know, we're still
- 1:49Speaker 4: like full of adrenaline, so we'll read you know, like
- 1:52Speaker 4: our messages on social media.
- 1:54Speaker 1: And then suddenly you got people you.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Know that are just going you know, for coffee and
- 1:58Speaker 4: writing you about, you know, when coming to Australia. So
- 2:01Speaker 4: it's cool that we're actually getting to do that. I
- 2:03Speaker 4: love the food, I love the places, I love the sites.
- 2:06Speaker 4: You know, it's always such a blast for me, Like
- 2:09Speaker 4: Australia was one of those countries that I would have
- 2:11Speaker 4: considered living in, you know, and there's not a lot
- 2:13Speaker 4: Like I love my city of Montreal, I really do,
- 2:16Speaker 4: but you know, like I would have. It's just like,
- 2:19Speaker 4: you know, as as someone who's brought up in Canada,
- 2:22Speaker 4: who's got family in Canada, just felt like you're disconnecting
- 2:25Speaker 4: completely if you move to Australia.
- 2:28Speaker 1: But visiting is always.
- 2:30Speaker 4: Absolutely amazing, you know, So I make the most out
- 2:32Speaker 4: of it. I barely sleep and I just do as
- 2:34Speaker 4: much as I can.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Yeah, A lot of us feel the same way about Canada. Actually,
- 2:39Speaker 3: US Australians feel the same way when we go there.
- 2:42Speaker 3: There's such a connection and I feel like there's a
- 2:44Speaker 3: lot of similarities and the people are very like down
- 2:47Speaker 3: to earth like we are. So there's gotta be some
- 2:50Speaker 3: some strange connection happening there.
- 2:52Speaker 4: I think, you know, like it's it's the mother Colony.
- 2:57Speaker 4: I think that just you know, it must it's.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Probably not brilliant.
- 3:02Speaker 3: And after spending so much time of your life in
- 3:07Speaker 3: this band, what has Simple Plan taught you about yourself?
- 3:12Speaker 4: Ah, that's interesting. Well that's a good question. Resilience that
- 3:18Speaker 4: I'm very resilient. You know, like because a music career
- 3:22Speaker 4: is is very challenging on.
- 3:24Speaker 1: A personal level. You you know, you.
- 3:26Speaker 4: You don't understand that when you first start, You're like,
- 3:29Speaker 4: it's going to be amazing. I'm going to travel the
- 3:31Speaker 4: world and then you know, I'm going to see all
- 3:33Speaker 4: these places. I'm going to play all those venues that
- 3:35Speaker 4: I dreamt of playing, you know, which did happen for us,
- 3:39Speaker 4: you know, and we still have a lot of things
- 3:41Speaker 4: to do and to achieve, but a lot of things
- 3:44Speaker 4: already happen and it was pretty fabulous, pretty amazing. But
- 3:47Speaker 4: at the same time, you sort of want to settle down.
- 3:49Speaker 4: You know, you want to have a partner, you want
- 3:51Speaker 4: to have a family, you want to have kids, and
- 3:54Speaker 4: then you realize, wow, there's a lot of sacrifices to
- 3:57Speaker 4: be to be made. And it's fairly easy when you're
- 4:01Speaker 4: a single musician. You know, you just go on the
- 4:03Speaker 4: road and that's it. You don't have a lot of
- 4:05Speaker 4: financial responsibilities for instance, you know, and then suddenly, like
- 4:09Speaker 4: you realize that there.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Are a lot of ups and downs in our career.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Obviously things are going well for us now, but I'm
- 4:17Speaker 4: thinking about like younger musicians, you know, up and coming musicians.
- 4:20Speaker 4: And I think it's very important, you know, to to
- 4:25Speaker 4: to have an ecosystem where you know, the music is
- 4:27Speaker 4: renewed and there's newer artists and you know, I think
- 4:30Speaker 4: that's really important. And I'm just thinking about those artists.
- 4:32Speaker 4: I'm like, Wow, they're in for a ride, you know.
- 4:35Speaker 4: And yeah, as far as I'm concerned, I think I
- 4:38Speaker 4: was pretty resilient through it all. You know, like we
- 4:40Speaker 4: had some big blows. We had records that we love
- 4:43Speaker 4: that did not do all that well. We had tours
- 4:45Speaker 4: that did not you know, we're not as successful as
- 4:47Speaker 4: we hoped. And and we even had times in Australia
- 4:51Speaker 4: where we played we we went back and we played
- 4:53Speaker 4: little clubs, you know, and very very humbling, you know,
- 4:58Speaker 4: and we were like, you know what, we're gonna keep
- 4:59Speaker 4: on coming.
- 5:00Speaker 1: You know, we're gonna do it nonetheless.
- 5:02Speaker 4: You know.
- 5:02Speaker 1: That was but it was important for us, you know.
- 5:04Speaker 4: And and saff thing happened in America and and and
- 5:07Speaker 4: now it's kind of easy to say like, oh, you know,
- 5:09Speaker 4: we we we were building we we you know, we
- 5:12Speaker 4: knew that we were going for something better, better and bigger,
- 5:15Speaker 4: but you never know it could it's exactly the same,
- 5:18Speaker 4: you know. But we we were solid and we stood
- 5:22Speaker 4: by that that sort of mission that we we you know,
- 5:25Speaker 4: we decided to to put in front of us, you know,
- 5:28Speaker 4: and and that that showed me a lot about my
- 5:31Speaker 4: my sort of resilience, my grit as well.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Yeah, And do you know what's really interesting about that too,
- 5:38Speaker 3: is I actually spoke to Chuck last year. I got
- 5:40Speaker 3: to interview him, and that was great. But I and
- 5:43Speaker 3: I've been a fan for a long time, but I
- 5:45Speaker 3: didn't realize just how hard it actually was for you
- 5:48Speaker 3: guys in the beginning at some of your shows, having
- 5:52Speaker 3: things said and thrown.
- 5:53Speaker 2: At you guys and everything like that.
- 5:55Speaker 3: So if anyone thinks that you'll come up was just
- 5:58Speaker 3: easy and you know, brazy, it sounds like it actually
- 6:02Speaker 3: really wasn't. And at times that kind of happened throughout
- 6:05Speaker 3: your career as well.
- 6:07Speaker 4: I think, if anything, if people I perceived that as easy,
- 6:11Speaker 4: it's great, you know, mission accomplished, you know, because I
- 6:14Speaker 4: think there's how do I say that, there's a privilege
- 6:19Speaker 4: to what we're doing. You know, that comes with what
- 6:20Speaker 4: we're doing, So you have to be grateful. I think
- 6:23Speaker 4: you have to be honorable and and sort of like
- 6:26Speaker 4: you know, kind and and all that stuff. But at
- 6:28Speaker 4: the same time, yeah, it was difficult. And for me
- 6:30Speaker 4: it was very challenging too, because I came from a
- 6:33Speaker 4: musician's musicians background, you know. I was I'm just a
- 6:37Speaker 4: nerd playing in a band, you know, and and then suddenly, like,
- 6:41Speaker 4: you know, these guys are like, you're not punk rocking enough.
- 6:43Speaker 4: I'm like, I know, what do you say?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 6:49Speaker 4: I don't you know, I read books and I played
- 6:51Speaker 4: classical guitar. I don't know what you guys are talking about.
- 6:53Speaker 4: But it's interesting because, you know, for me, being you know,
- 6:59Speaker 4: in the punk croc world, what I really learned was
- 7:03Speaker 4: it's more about freedom of ideas. It's more about you know,
- 7:07Speaker 4: being political. And in our case, being political did not
- 7:09Speaker 4: mean you know, like let's raise our hands and and
- 7:12Speaker 4: and you know question, you know, like political decisions. It's
- 7:16Speaker 4: more about like how can you be involved socially? How
- 7:18Speaker 4: can you be And we were all these things like
- 7:20Speaker 4: really early on in our career, like you know, the
- 7:22Speaker 4: simple plan foundation being one of the ways, but we
- 7:24Speaker 4: we do other things as well, you know. But the
- 7:27Speaker 4: thing is, I just didn't understand it like I was like.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Like I don't like a movie, I just don't watch it.
- 7:35Speaker 4: You know, if there's a TV show on on on
- 7:37Speaker 4: the tube and it's not you know, to my liking,
- 7:40Speaker 4: I changed channels, right, you know, like I do something else.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Like I never understood why people like stood there and
- 7:46Speaker 4: show expressed their their hatred. You know, I just never
- 7:50Speaker 4: understood that. It made no sense to me, and it
- 7:52Speaker 4: still doesn't. But luckily the scene has changed a little bit.
- 7:56Speaker 4: You know, Like I meet like a coffee shops for instance,
- 8:00Speaker 4: this morning, you know, and I'm in in Indianapolis today
- 8:03Speaker 4: and like the barista was like a tall, like pat
- 8:08Speaker 4: it up dude, and he was like your Simple Plan right,
- 8:12Speaker 4: And I'm like, like, I you know, I thought he
- 8:14Speaker 4: would kick my ass, but uh, the guy actually it
- 8:18Speaker 4: was like I grew up with your band.
- 8:19Speaker 1: You know, Yes, I like it.
- 8:21Speaker 2: I mean I.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Listened to a lot of very hardcore music, but I
- 8:23Speaker 4: love Simple Plan.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I thought that was cool, you know.
- 8:26Speaker 4: So like people are more open minded nowadays, I think,
- 8:29Speaker 4: which is good.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Great.
- 8:31Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely, I love Taylor Swift too, you know that's
- 8:38Speaker 5: all right, you can, oh, come on, I mean I
- 8:42Speaker 5: love all sorts of music.
- 8:43Speaker 4: To me, there's like yeah again, it's it's it either
- 8:46Speaker 4: speaks to me or it doesn't.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and and and if.
- 8:49Speaker 4: I don't like it, I just don't listen to it.
- 8:51Speaker 4: You know, I don't have to have like a particular
- 8:53Speaker 4: position on anything.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Really.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I really like that. I'm pretty open minded myself.
- 8:59Speaker 3: And if I have to say, her latest album does
- 9:02Speaker 3: actually contain a few bangers.
- 9:03Speaker 4: So but you know, like I was, I was kind
- 9:07Speaker 4: of kidding because I haven't listened to her or you know,
- 9:10Speaker 4: last records. I'm not following the career, but what I've
- 9:13Speaker 4: heard was great. And and you know, like I'll listen
- 9:16Speaker 4: to to you know, to toll all genres of music.
- 9:20Speaker 4: But you know, I mainly listen to music now in
- 9:23Speaker 4: my car or when I work out or when I run.
- 9:25Speaker 1: So usually it's upbeat music. It's a little.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Heavier usually, you know, yeah and yeah and guitar driven.
- 9:32Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, no, me too.
- 9:35Speaker 3: And is there a simple planed song that's become especially
- 9:39Speaker 3: meaningful to you over the years or means something different now?
- 9:45Speaker 4: It's kind of weird to say, because you know, perfect
- 9:47Speaker 4: it's sort of like I felt very connected that I
- 9:50Speaker 4: sung because I you know, it was very challenging with
- 9:52Speaker 4: my my parents, you know, when I started out, because
- 9:55Speaker 4: and we all lived that in the band, where it
- 9:57Speaker 4: was a situation of where like we were all in
- 9:59Speaker 4: college and our parents just wanted the best for us,
- 10:02Speaker 4: you know. They wanted us to keep studying, to have
- 10:05Speaker 4: a fair chance at life. Right, that's just what they want, right,
- 10:09Speaker 4: And then you tell them, like, listen, I want to
- 10:11Speaker 4: pursue this music thing because it's now or never. School
- 10:16Speaker 4: will still be there, but music is just you know,
- 10:18Speaker 4: it's it's a young people's game. You know, you have
- 10:21Speaker 4: to be there when you're really young. So we convinced
- 10:24Speaker 4: them that we would do this for a little bit
- 10:26Speaker 4: and then come back to school. Obviously the story was
- 10:29Speaker 4: different than that. But what's very interesting now is that
- 10:33Speaker 4: I'm living the same kind of situation with my kids,
- 10:36Speaker 4: you know, not necessarily about music, but they have their
- 10:39Speaker 4: own positions or have their own liking and they have
- 10:42Speaker 4: their own like sort of views on what life should be,
- 10:46Speaker 4: you know, and and and now, like it's challenging because
- 10:49Speaker 4: I don't want to be that parent that says no,
- 10:51Speaker 4: you know, that doesn't listen.
- 10:53Speaker 1: And and I think.
- 10:57Speaker 4: The best thing I could do is actually throw myself
- 10:59Speaker 4: back to that era and sort of remember, like I
- 11:02Speaker 4: was so convinced, and there's a power to that, the
- 11:05Speaker 4: power of like just I don't know, for some reason,
- 11:07Speaker 4: you just know, you know, and you have that instinct
- 11:11Speaker 4: that just you know, pushes you forward and that energy
- 11:15Speaker 4: you will not have again in your life that you
- 11:18Speaker 4: full like conviction is Yeah, that drive is amazing. So yeah,
- 11:23Speaker 4: so you don't want to be the parent that sort
- 11:25Speaker 4: of like squishes it down, you know.
- 11:27Speaker 2: That's right, that's right, one hundred percent. I'm the same
- 11:29Speaker 2: with my own kids.
- 11:30Speaker 3: They're still young, but they have big dreams, and I
- 11:32Speaker 3: try and take myself back to that feeling when I
- 11:35Speaker 3: was younger, this is really what I want to do,
- 11:37Speaker 3: you know.
- 11:37Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, and then you just put you know, things
- 11:41Speaker 4: in motion in place, you know, so they could actually
- 11:43Speaker 4: pursue those dreams. But so so to come back to
- 11:46Speaker 4: the repertoire Perfect is sort of a song about that
- 11:49Speaker 4: dialogue between parents and kids, and it's it's strange because
- 11:54Speaker 4: the parents have no idea what to do. The kids
- 11:56Speaker 4: don't really.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Have the tools to communicate yet, so.
- 12:00Speaker 4: As a parent you have to find like, Okay, let's
- 12:02Speaker 4: you know, let's put a canvas, let's try to do
- 12:04Speaker 4: something here so it works, you.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Know, yeah, yeah, exactly exactly.
- 12:09Speaker 3: And what's something about life in simple plan that fans
- 12:13Speaker 3: probably don't realize?
- 12:16Speaker 4: Oh that's interesting too, you know, like I think people
- 12:24Speaker 4: like have a vision of the scope of it, you know,
- 12:27Speaker 4: like how how the shows are really big and and
- 12:30Speaker 4: we we do things on a pretty large scale. But
- 12:33Speaker 4: it's a tiny team, you know, like we we're very
- 12:36Speaker 4: little people and we want to keep it that way
- 12:39Speaker 4: and all like the creative this, you know what. One
- 12:42Speaker 4: thing that actually comes up very often is like, oh,
- 12:44Speaker 4: your social media team should be it must be so big.
- 12:48Speaker 1: And it's like it's but it's not.
- 12:51Speaker 4: You know, we have a photographer, we have a videographer,
- 12:54Speaker 4: and and we basically hash it out, you know, as
- 12:57Speaker 4: we're going.
- 12:59Speaker 1: It's it's fair like yeah.
- 13:01Speaker 4: Like we sit down like like once a day and
- 13:04Speaker 4: we sort of like throw ideas and it's very very
- 13:07Speaker 4: organic and I know it's a very fashionable word, but
- 13:11Speaker 4: it's like we we really just you know, hey, I
- 13:14Speaker 4: saw this, you know, maybe we should get inspired by that,
- 13:17Speaker 4: or I have this idea, this little skit. But it's
- 13:20Speaker 4: not like a crazy, big team.
- 13:22Speaker 1: You know, we like it that way.
- 13:24Speaker 4: So everything we do, like even like you know, from
- 13:26Speaker 4: stage production, there's no like artistic director or anything.
- 13:30Speaker 1: It's it's us, you know.
- 13:32Speaker 4: And and we even like even like interestingly enough, the
- 13:38Speaker 4: growth of the production with the band as it happened
- 13:42Speaker 4: a lot in Australia. We have a promoter in Australia
- 13:45Speaker 4: that really like was kind enough to discuss it and
- 13:48Speaker 4: challenge us. Because there's a lot of yes people in
- 13:51Speaker 4: the world of music. Yeah, you know, people telling you
- 13:54Speaker 4: what you want to hear, and when you have someone
- 13:56Speaker 4: who's like honest enough and critical enough to tell yeah,
- 13:59Speaker 4: you guys, you could step it up, you know. Yeah, yeah, yes,
- 14:02Speaker 4: you got to listen, you know. So that guy was
- 14:05Speaker 4: definitely you know, very instrumental and in sort of like
- 14:08Speaker 4: the growth in the last few years. So yeah, I
- 14:11Speaker 4: mean that's those things are important. So if anything like
- 14:14Speaker 4: that people don't necessarily know it's still us.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Everything is sort of like controlled by us, you know.
- 14:19Speaker 4: And it might sound like control insecurity, but it's more
- 14:23Speaker 4: about like portraying a fair image of who we are.
- 14:27Speaker 2: I think I think we can tell a lot too.
- 14:29Speaker 3: I Mean, I'm surprised that it isn't there isn't a
- 14:32Speaker 3: huge team behind you. But in a way, I'm also
- 14:34Speaker 3: not because you guys are very authentic on your social
- 14:37Speaker 3: media especially, we can tell that you guys have a
- 14:40Speaker 3: big input there and it's all you guys, you know,
- 14:42Speaker 3: behind the scenes. And before I have to go, is
- 14:47Speaker 3: there any little secrets or surprises you could let us
- 14:51Speaker 3: in on possibly about coming and playing good things this year?
- 14:56Speaker 4: Well, you know, we're pulling all the stunts, so everything
- 15:00Speaker 4: from our history we're bringing it like full full on,
- 15:05Speaker 4: including you know, some of the funnier sides of what we've.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Done over the years. We are working on new material.
- 15:12Speaker 4: I'm not making any promises, you know, as far as
- 15:16Speaker 4: playing new music, but I promise you one thing I
- 15:18Speaker 4: will push the band to try, because yeah, that's that's
- 15:22Speaker 4: always been a challenge, you know, like where do you
- 15:24Speaker 4: premier music? But I it'll you know, it'll be pretty
- 15:29Speaker 4: close to us being in the studio, so I think
- 15:31Speaker 4: it would be, uh, but we'll see, we'll see. I
- 15:33Speaker 4: don't want to make any promises, but yeah, there's definitely
- 15:36Speaker 4: we're working on new materials, so all the stunts, all
- 15:39Speaker 4: everything that you you know, you you know Simple Plan
- 15:43Speaker 4: from we will be playing and it's a longer set.
- 15:46Speaker 4: It's gonna be it's gonna be pretty fun, it's gonna
- 15:48Speaker 4: be a big party.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Fantastic, it's gonna be amazing. I just know it already.
- 15:53Speaker 2: And if a few more questions, just got a little
- 15:56Speaker 2: bit more time. If Simple yeah good.
- 16:00Speaker 3: If Simple Plan could collaborate with any artists from any era,
- 16:04Speaker 3: who would you choose.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I would say Pink would be sick.
- 16:09Speaker 4: And it's interestingly enough, we met her in Australia, you know,
- 16:13Speaker 4: for the first time, and at that time I thought
- 16:16Speaker 4: there was like a chance that, you know, it might happen.
- 16:18Speaker 4: I'm not really sure that, but you know, back then
- 16:20Speaker 4: it was like very label oriented, like labels had to
- 16:23Speaker 4: talk and it was like the big guns stocking it
- 16:25Speaker 4: out and it would make things more complicated. But I
- 16:28Speaker 4: think nowadays it's it's possibly easier, you know, to collaborate
- 16:32Speaker 4: and have a direct conversation with the artists. So hopefully,
- 16:36Speaker 4: you know, crossing my fingers, that could happen. She's definitely
- 16:39Speaker 4: amazing and she's got that energy. I think that would
- 16:42Speaker 4: definitely match with us.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Yeah, and you guys came up in the same era.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Imagine that would be I think that would be amazing,
- 16:49Speaker 3: and you have to try and get that InMotion.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Next time you talked to her. You gotta pass on.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I will, I will, I'll say from simple, yeah, beautiful.
- 16:59Speaker 3: And is there a moment in the band's history that
- 17:02Speaker 3: you didn't appreciate enough at the time but you really
- 17:05Speaker 3: appreciate now.
- 17:09Speaker 4: I would say that all the early successes, I was
- 17:12Speaker 4: not really aware. And the truth is, like we were young,
- 17:16Speaker 4: we were partying, so I think like and it was
- 17:19Speaker 4: like a big tornado too, Like it was like next step,
- 17:22Speaker 4: next step, next step. So I don't think that we
- 17:25Speaker 4: took the time to really appreciate it. And and I'm
- 17:31Speaker 4: plugging the documentary, but it's not about the plug. It's
- 17:34Speaker 4: really about like that moment where we did where we
- 17:38Speaker 4: actually went back to the archives and we looked back
- 17:40Speaker 4: at our career. Like the first time that I saw
- 17:43Speaker 4: like the last cut that was actually gotten very close
- 17:46Speaker 4: to the last one, I was like, it brought me
- 17:49Speaker 4: to tears. You know, I thought it was like, holy shit,
- 17:52Speaker 4: this is this is quite a life. You know that
- 17:55Speaker 4: I led and again and with my friends and we met,
- 17:58Speaker 4: we did a lot, you know, we did a lot
- 18:00Speaker 4: of things.
- 18:00Speaker 1: We traveled a lot, you played a lot of shows.
- 18:03Speaker 4: And and and I think we had a lot of
- 18:06Speaker 4: impact on people, you know, And and that was touching,
- 18:10Speaker 4: very very touching for me, you know. And I don't
- 18:13Speaker 4: think I appreciated that enough when things were happening, like, yeah.
- 18:17Speaker 3: It's hard to when you're young and your band's blowing
- 18:20Speaker 3: up and yeah, you're just you're partying.
- 18:22Speaker 2: It's it's totally forgivable, mate.
- 18:25Speaker 3: And I have to say that that documentary gave brought
- 18:28Speaker 3: me to teas as well. It was really lovely to
- 18:32Speaker 3: feel part of something bigger with you guys. As you know,
- 18:35Speaker 3: with bands, often we're not granted access inside of what's
- 18:39Speaker 3: going on, you know, in your life.
- 18:42Speaker 2: So thank you guys for that. It was amazing, It
- 18:44Speaker 2: was beautiful.
- 18:45Speaker 4: It was definitely it was it was challenging to be
- 18:48Speaker 4: as vulnerable. You know, there's a lot of tension and
- 18:50Speaker 4: you feel in that documentary. And I think that was important,
- 18:53Speaker 4: you know, to showcase we could have you know, we
- 18:56Speaker 4: could have given more, we could have, but I think
- 18:59Speaker 4: we've succeeded to show something that was honest, you know,
- 19:02Speaker 4: and that was important to us.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Definitely, definitely.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I'm just about to go over time, but Jeff, it
- 19:08Speaker 3: has been an absolute honor and pleasure.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I know so many people that are excited that you
- 19:13Speaker 2: guys are playing good things. We can't wait to see you.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Thank you so much for doing this, looking forward to
- 19:18Speaker 1: it
