- 0:00Speaker 1: At your early boy praise party. I am a Sherry
- 0:03Speaker 1: Mackie at its time. Right now for today's word, never
- 0:08Speaker 1: forget who sent it. Ruth to sixteen says you are
- 0:14Speaker 1: to purposely slip out for her some grain from the
- 0:18Speaker 1: bundles and leave it so that she may glean. Ruth
- 0:23Speaker 1: and her mother in law, Naomi, were facing an incredibly
- 0:26Speaker 1: difficult season. Both were widows, and Ruth had no husband
- 0:30Speaker 1: to provide for her and no obvious way to secure
- 0:32Speaker 1: a future. So she went into the fields each morning
- 0:36Speaker 1: and gathered whatever grain the workers had left behind. Ruth
- 0:40Speaker 1: was doing what she could with what she had, but
- 0:44Speaker 1: God was doing something she couldn't even see. The field
- 0:47Speaker 1: belonged to Bo as a wealthy and respected man. When
- 0:51Speaker 1: he heard about Ruth's kindness toward Naomi and her willingness
- 0:54Speaker 1: to work, he instructed his workers to purposely pull out
- 0:57Speaker 1: extra grain and leave it where Ruth could easily finded.
- 1:02Speaker 1: You think about that. Ruth thought she was simply finding
- 1:05Speaker 1: leftover grain, but some of what she was finding had
- 1:09Speaker 1: been intentionally placed there for her. Bo as was the resource. Oh,
- 1:16Speaker 1: but God was the source. God was moving on Bo
- 1:19Speaker 1: as his heart. God was positioning Ruth in the right field.
- 1:23Speaker 1: God was arranging a divine connection that would eventually change
- 1:27Speaker 1: her whole life. And sometimes God works that way in
- 1:31Speaker 1: your life and mind. You may look back and say,
- 1:35Speaker 1: that person helped me, and they did. That company gave
- 1:38Speaker 1: me an opportunity, and they did. Someone opened the door
- 1:41Speaker 1: for me and they did. But don't stop there. Recognize
- 1:46Speaker 1: their resource. But God is the source. God can use
- 1:50Speaker 1: people to bless you. He can use your employer, your family,
- 1:53Speaker 1: a friend, a stranger, a business opportunity, a connection, or
- 1:57Speaker 1: an unexpected phone call. But never becomes so focused on
- 2:00Speaker 1: the vessel that you forget the one who filled the vessel.
- 2:04Speaker 1: That promotion may have come through a person, but God
- 2:07Speaker 1: gave you the favor. That opportunity may have come through
- 2:09Speaker 1: a connection, but God positioned you. That door may have
- 2:13Speaker 1: been opened by someone else, but God gave them the
- 2:16Speaker 1: desire to open it. And perhaps there are some handfuls
- 2:19Speaker 1: on purpose in your life right now. Blessings. You didn't
- 2:22Speaker 1: have to manipulate opportunities, you didn't have to force favor,
- 2:26Speaker 1: You couldn't have arranged for yourself. That's God. So today,
- 2:30Speaker 1: don't just thank God for what He's given you. Thank
- 2:33Speaker 1: him for how he gave it to you, thanking for
- 2:36Speaker 1: the people he used, the doors he opened, the timing
- 2:39Speaker 1: he arranged, and the favor he released. Ruth went into
- 2:42Speaker 1: the field looking for grained, but God was preparing her
- 2:44Speaker 1: for a destiny she could not see. The same. God
- 2:48Speaker 1: who provided for Ruth is still your provider. Boe As
- 2:52Speaker 1: was the resource, but God was the source, and he
- 2:55Speaker 1: is still our source today. Oh Father, thank you for
- 3:00Speaker 1: being our source. Thank you for every person you've used,
- 3:03Speaker 1: every door you've opened, every opportunity you've provided, in every
- 3:07Speaker 1: unexpected blessing that you've placed in our path. Help us
- 3:10Speaker 1: to never become so focused on the resource that we
- 3:13Speaker 1: forget the source. Give us eyes to recognize your hands
- 3:17Speaker 1: and the details of our lives. Thank you for the
- 3:19Speaker 1: blessings we can see, and even the ones you are
- 3:22Speaker 1: ranging behind the scenes. God, we will not take your
- 3:25Speaker 1: goodness for granted. We will live with grateful hearts, knowing
- 3:28Speaker 1: that every good and perfect gift comes from you. In
- 3:31Speaker 1: Jesus' name, that's your word for today. Take it applied
- 3:35Speaker 1: to your everyday life, and you continue to be encouraged
- 3:37Speaker 1: and inspired at your early morning praise party. I am
