- 0:10Speaker 1: For sure. It's time nice level lower, lwin low and no.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Welcome to the naughty but nice Show. It's Tuesday.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I'm your host, and who joins us every Tuesday, our
- 0:22Speaker 2: dear friend Delana Dixon.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Heydlana. Are you there?
- 0:25Speaker 3: I am, I'm back.
- 0:27Speaker 1: I missed you last week.
- 0:29Speaker 2: I was in London, you were traveling. We are back
- 0:31Speaker 2: now and so we have a ton of catching gup
- 0:34Speaker 2: to get to lots of celebrity gossip.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Let's jump in, my friends. What time is it? It
- 0:38Speaker 1: is tea time.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Big story at the top of the show. So overnight,
- 0:42Speaker 2: Savannah Guthrie's family has been officially cleared as DNA testing continues.
- 0:49Speaker 2: So authorities have formerly cleared Savannah's entire family following the
- 0:55Speaker 2: disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, her eighty four year old mommy.
- 1:00Speaker 2: The sheriff said that the siblings and their spouses that's
- 1:04Speaker 2: a keyword here, and their spouses have been ruled out
- 1:08Speaker 2: as suspects and calling anybody that is suggesting this cruel
- 1:14Speaker 2: and emphasizing that the family are the victims here, plain
- 1:18Speaker 2: and simple. If you remember a couple of weeks ago,
- 1:22Speaker 2: when this tragedy first made headlines, when it first happened,
- 1:26Speaker 2: Savannah's sister's husband was named as a suspect. This circulated
- 1:34Speaker 2: on social media. And when I say named, not by
- 1:36Speaker 2: the police, by a really, in my opinion, reckless reporter.
- 1:40Speaker 2: A reporter was out there, someone I know, someone that
- 1:43Speaker 2: I've worked with, someone that I really used to respect
- 1:45Speaker 2: quite highly. She was out there saying that she had
- 1:48Speaker 2: sources in the police who told her that Savannah's sister's
- 1:54Speaker 2: husband that would be Nancy's son in law. Nancy's son
- 1:58Speaker 2: in law was sup Now, the police did search many homes,
- 2:03Speaker 2: including Savannah's sister. Other people in the media, some quite powerful,
- 2:09Speaker 2: some with millions of followers, kept pushing that narrative. And
- 2:15Speaker 2: he has been living under absolute hell since his name
- 2:19Speaker 2: was released. Once again, not by authorities, not by anybody
- 2:23Speaker 2: in an official office, but by basically bloggers and people
- 2:27Speaker 2: on social media and a couple of really well respected journalists.
- 2:31Speaker 1: And so this blew up. I'm told it was not.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Just devastating for him, Misty, it was devastating for the
- 2:36Speaker 2: whole family. Now we know, you know, mister, your family
- 2:40Speaker 2: is involved in crime in law law enforcements. Whenever something
- 2:44Speaker 2: terrible happens, the police the investigators always look at the
- 2:48Speaker 2: people closest to you first, and historically, if you look
- 2:52Speaker 2: at the statistics, it's normally not a stranger. It's normally
- 2:55Speaker 2: somebody that you know. And so I think that's where
- 2:59Speaker 2: this story came came from, that they had to rule
- 3:02Speaker 2: the family members out. It picked up a lot a
- 3:06Speaker 2: lot of stem particularly online. Now we know it's not true.
- 3:09Speaker 3: What do you think I mean in this makes me
- 3:14Speaker 3: so sad this case, that it's been almost three weeks
- 3:17Speaker 3: now and they haven't found this woman. And I think
- 3:20Speaker 3: for some people saying that a family member was involved,
- 3:23Speaker 3: at least it would be somebody who cares about her,
- 3:26Speaker 3: would make sure she has her medication. So I think
- 3:29Speaker 3: that's why people thought it could be a family member.
- 3:32Speaker 3: And statistics show that the percentage of a woman over
- 3:37Speaker 3: eighty being kidnapped by a stranger and held for ransom,
- 3:39Speaker 3: it's almost it's almost zero. And so I don't think
- 3:43Speaker 3: people could wrap their heads around this concept. But as
- 3:48Speaker 3: you said, they've been ruled out for having anything to
- 3:52Speaker 3: do with her disappearance. There are some people, some rumors,
- 3:57Speaker 3: some theories, or you know, believing that maybe it's a
- 4:01Speaker 3: family friend, somebody who knows the family would know the
- 4:05Speaker 3: mother and so would know to prepare that she would
- 4:08Speaker 3: need her medication on a daily basis to keep her alive.
- 4:12Speaker 3: So that might be why you know the son in law,
- 4:17Speaker 3: he has friends, maybe a friend of his did it.
- 4:19Speaker 3: But obviously we're not one hundred percent sure. And what
- 4:23Speaker 3: is the saddest part of this case is with any
- 4:26Speaker 3: missing persons, the first forty eight hours are crucial. That
- 4:32Speaker 3: has passed long, obviously by weeks, and so it's just
- 4:37Speaker 3: something needs to be done. We need some kind of answer.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I think we've been realistic about this and I
- 4:42Speaker 2: think we're handling it beautifully and very carefully. Here there
- 4:45Speaker 2: is a lady Innatis missing somewhere and we're all praying
- 4:49Speaker 2: for her return. Savannah's video yesterday was just heartbreaking. She
- 4:53Speaker 2: looks like she's at her at her breaking point. My heartbreaks.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I'm also told too, that family members are considering even
- 5:01Speaker 2: taking legal action. It just goes to show you we
- 5:04Speaker 2: escape go to people so quickly when we want an answer,
- 5:07Speaker 2: when we want something to be done and dusted, we
- 5:10Speaker 2: want this to be solved. It's so easy to point
- 5:13Speaker 2: a finger at somebody and then everybody pile on. And
- 5:17Speaker 2: that is not how the justice system. That is not
- 5:21Speaker 2: how this is meant to work. Everybody is innocent until
- 5:25Speaker 2: proven guilty. However, to statistically, I could barely get that out. Statistically,
- 5:30Speaker 2: there you go. It is often more than often somebody
- 5:34Speaker 2: that is related to the victim. It is very rare
- 5:37Speaker 2: that a stranger actually does something like this. It does happen,
- 5:41Speaker 2: but it is very very rare. So I think the
- 5:44Speaker 2: police were just doing what they had to do. I
- 5:46Speaker 2: think it was reckless for reporters to announce that. We
- 5:50Speaker 2: certainly didn't on our show, on our substack, and I
- 5:54Speaker 2: think that's why the police felt like it was important
- 5:57Speaker 2: to come forward and stop these rumors. It is not
- 6:01Speaker 2: her brother in law, it is not Savannah's sister's husband,
- 6:05Speaker 2: it's not the sister, it is not a family member.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Now there is new reporting from Harvey Levin at TMC,
- 6:13Speaker 2: who have been receiving more and more ransom notes. Now
- 6:16Speaker 2: there's reporting that Nancy might have been abducted and taken
- 6:21Speaker 2: to Mexico and more than one person was involved. Just
- 6:24Speaker 2: heartbreak in Once again, we're not going to do a
- 6:26Speaker 2: poll question today. It doesn't feel right voting when somebody's
- 6:30Speaker 2: life is potentially hanging in the balance. It will move
- 6:33Speaker 2: straight along m America's next top model. My goodness, mister,
- 6:37Speaker 2: I sort of forgot about this show. But there was
- 6:39Speaker 2: a moment when this was the biggest show on television.
- 6:42Speaker 2: It made Tyra Banks a star. We were addicted to it. Now,
- 6:46Speaker 2: many years later, we're looking back at the show and
- 6:49Speaker 2: not through such rose colored glasses.
- 6:52Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 6:53Speaker 3: Well, obviously, the documentary dropped on Netflix yesterday and it's
- 6:57Speaker 3: all anybody can talk about, including its first winner, Adrian Curry.
- 7:02Speaker 3: And she's saying filming the hit series felt like psychological warfare,
- 7:07Speaker 3: a legend. Contestants were starving, sleep, divibed, and deliberately kept
- 7:12Speaker 3: on edge for better TV. Now, we have to remember
- 7:14Speaker 3: this was the height of reality television and people were
- 7:17Speaker 3: trying to figure out how to make it work. So
- 7:19Speaker 3: she seems that meals were delayed for hours. Those elimination
- 7:23Speaker 3: nights that we watched in about what five minutes actually
- 7:26Speaker 3: stretched past two am, and producers plan toxic questions to
- 7:31Speaker 3: stir in the drama. Now, she also is talking about
- 7:35Speaker 3: those makeovers, which we're watching it back then, you just
- 7:38Speaker 3: like I remember thinking, oh, I just want to see
- 7:40Speaker 3: how this woman looks differently. But she said that they
- 7:44Speaker 3: were painful makeovers that left her with scalp wounds and
- 7:48Speaker 3: long term hair damage. Now she insists that she doesn't
- 7:52Speaker 3: hate Tyra Banks, calling her a powerhouse. Obviously she created
- 7:56Speaker 3: one of the most watch shows of the two thous
- 8:01Speaker 3: but believes that the reboot of this do the reboot
- 8:04Speaker 3: of a series because that's how Tyrek ends in spoiler alert,
- 8:08Speaker 3: it's how she ends this doc that she would love
- 8:11Speaker 3: to bring it back, would be carefully calculated for damage control,
- 8:15Speaker 3: which makes me think of the Biggest Loser when they
- 8:18Speaker 3: brought it back and were trying to deal with some
- 8:20Speaker 3: of the issues of how they dealt with their contestants
- 8:23Speaker 3: to lose weight. So I don't know, Rob a reboot
- 8:27Speaker 3: of America's Next Talk Model could it work?
- 8:30Speaker 1: Would you watch?
- 8:31Speaker 2: I used to work for Tyres. I've known her for
- 8:33Speaker 2: a really long time. She hustles like she doesn't give up.
- 8:35Speaker 2: The reason she did this interview was not mania. It
- 8:39Speaker 2: was because she wants to plan a reboot and she
- 8:41Speaker 2: thought this would be a great way. And it's pretty
- 8:44Speaker 2: smart actually to acknowledge the sins of your past. Makes
- 8:47Speaker 2: the future much easier to go forward with. So I
- 8:49Speaker 2: think this is her Mia Kopa, This is her moment.
- 8:53Speaker 2: This is her moment where she can acknowledge that it
- 8:56Speaker 2: was a time. It was a show that was very
- 8:59Speaker 2: much of its time. This is what happens. If you've
- 9:01Speaker 2: watched The Real Housewives, you see how exhausted and how
- 9:04Speaker 2: liquored up, and how producers make you ask saucy questions
- 9:07Speaker 2: to get all the drama. So this sort of really
- 9:10Speaker 2: paved the way for those trashy reality shows that we
- 9:12Speaker 2: still love today. I think there is a way for
- 9:15Speaker 2: America's Next Couple Top Model.
- 9:18Speaker 1: To move forward.
- 9:19Speaker 2: I'm not sure if Tyra can host it, though I
- 9:21Speaker 2: think it should be maybe a brand new generation of it.
- 9:24Speaker 2: These rebeats never seem to work, do they Like? The
- 9:26Speaker 2: Queer Eye one did okay, but it wasn't as big
- 9:29Speaker 2: as the first one. America's Biggest Loser wasn't quite as big,
- 9:33Speaker 2: So I get why Tyra wants to do it. But
- 9:36Speaker 2: this show has a lot to answer for looking back,
- 9:38Speaker 2: it does not hold up. I watched a few episodes
- 9:40Speaker 2: Mystery and Oh Dear.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's just even the way she answered some
- 9:46Speaker 3: of her questions. I'm not sure that she did herself justice.
- 9:50Speaker 3: That's what people are saying that maybe it came off
- 9:53Speaker 3: kind of Oh, you don't seem to be apologizing for
- 9:58Speaker 3: things that happened. You seem to explain not necessarily offering
- 10:02Speaker 3: apologies exactly. And in a new generation that that you know,
- 10:09Speaker 3: values authenticity and owning up to your mistakes, I'm not
- 10:14Speaker 3: sure it's going to work for a new generation.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I don't know what it's gonna work.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Tyra is authentic though, she's a tough girl, like
- 10:20Speaker 2: she's not pretending to be anything.
- 10:22Speaker 1: But she might not be the person we want, but
- 10:25Speaker 1: she is who she is.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Talking about that Miss Jane, Remember Miss Jay Alexander on
- 10:30Speaker 2: the show, one of my favorites. On the show, he
- 10:32Speaker 2: really taught the ladies how to walk. Is revealing that
- 10:34Speaker 2: he suffered a stroke. I know December twenty twenty two,
- 10:38Speaker 2: he had a stroke and is unable to walk, and
- 10:41Speaker 2: he said he will be back. He said the following quote,
- 10:44Speaker 2: I taught models how to walk and now I can't walk,
- 10:47Speaker 2: not yet.
- 10:48Speaker 1: But it's not over for me, Miss Jay. We want
- 10:51Speaker 1: you back. We are rooting for you.
- 10:52Speaker 2: What was shocking though, is he was asked, has Tyra
- 10:55Speaker 2: visited and he said no, not yet. She's sent to
- 11:01Speaker 2: but no. Now, fellow judges Nigel and Jay they did
- 11:04Speaker 2: visit him in hospital, but Tyra was a no show. Tyron,
- 11:09Speaker 2: you can't help yourself. I mean, I sort of respect
- 11:12Speaker 2: that you are who you are. You're happy to be
- 11:15Speaker 2: the villain. She won't say sorry for stuff that she's
- 11:18Speaker 2: not sorry for. That's maybe refreshing and slightly alarming at
- 11:22Speaker 2: the same time. But she didn't. She didn't go and
- 11:25Speaker 2: visit him. I think the mistake we make, miss Me
- 11:28Speaker 2: and we've worked on TV shows, is that to the public,
- 11:31Speaker 2: to the viewers, there's an image given that were family,
- 11:36Speaker 2: that we're all really good friends and we just all
- 11:39Speaker 2: like each other and we hang out and we text
- 11:41Speaker 2: each other. It's not true. It's a job. It is
- 11:45Speaker 2: just not true. It's a job, and it's a stressful job,
- 11:50Speaker 2: and it's a job when you're tired, you're under a
- 11:53Speaker 2: lot of pressure. It's a job with people you wouldn't
- 11:56Speaker 2: normally hang out with. He'll be friends with and suddenly
- 11:59Speaker 2: you're all put on to a show where you've got
- 12:01Speaker 2: a smile and pretend to be best friends. Tyra was
- 12:04Speaker 2: never that close to anybody on this show, and so
- 12:08Speaker 2: they portrayed as a group of friends. In reality, that's
- 12:12Speaker 2: just not who Tyra is. She didn't remain friends with
- 12:14Speaker 2: any of the models. She didn't remain friends with anybody
- 12:17Speaker 2: from her talk show. She had her own talk show
- 12:19Speaker 2: in La Chrissy Teagan that didn't last very long. And
- 12:23Speaker 2: then also too, She's not friends with anybody from Dancing
- 12:26Speaker 2: with the Stars. It's just not how Tyler Tyra rolls.
- 12:29Speaker 2: It's just not her thing. I think, though, I do
- 12:33Speaker 2: think miss Jay I would like to think there's enough
- 12:36Speaker 2: decency there that if you were in New York, if
- 12:40Speaker 2: you could pop in and see him, you would.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I don't think she.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Will or to send some flowers, but look, Tara's got
- 12:47Speaker 3: him Moto and it's I'm trying to run up business.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Tyra Tyra Tyra Okay, moving along with Viva Dresher, one
- 12:57Speaker 2: of my favorite housewives. You've not heard from her in
- 13:00Speaker 2: a while. He's defending Jill saren So. She did rachel
- 13:04Speaker 2: Yucutel's podcast. I know rachel Lelooloono I as a guest
- 13:06Speaker 2: on that show a couple of months ago. It's a great,
- 13:08Speaker 2: great podcast, and so Aviva was on, Jill has just
- 13:12Speaker 2: been fired from the reboot of The Real houh size,
- 13:15Speaker 2: Aviva's defending her. What do you think what's going on?
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah, so Aviva is drawing a distinction between what Jill
- 13:23Speaker 3: said and she's standing by her former castmates. So sometimes
- 13:26Speaker 3: they really are friends again, like you said. She was
- 13:29Speaker 3: on the Misunderstood with Rachel Yucutel show, and she basically
- 13:34Speaker 3: addressed the backlash that Jill received after her now deleted
- 13:38Speaker 3: Super Bowl halftime rant about bad Bunny, which ultimately cost
- 13:42Speaker 3: her a spot on Ease upcoming reboot. Aviva said, I've
- 13:45Speaker 3: known Jill since twenty eleven. I've never thought of her
- 13:48Speaker 3: to be racist. That was the thing that stung. But
- 13:52Speaker 3: Yviva did not make excuses for the remarks. She said
- 13:55Speaker 3: it was completely stupid, but I don't think it came
- 13:58Speaker 3: from a hateful place. One thing that have Eva made
- 14:01Speaker 3: clear is that she would never do a show with
- 14:04Speaker 3: someone she thought was racis so obviously these housewives were
- 14:08Speaker 3: truly friends. I mean, it's so hard. It's interesting. We
- 14:13Speaker 3: want reality stars to be shocking and say things that
- 14:18Speaker 3: were go ooh, but there's a thin line over what
- 14:22Speaker 3: you can say where it gets into territory where it's
- 14:26Speaker 3: just unacceptable, and for Jill's arin unfortunately, the comment that
- 14:30Speaker 3: she made and how she chose to frame it, because
- 14:33Speaker 3: you know what, if you didn't like the Bad Benny show,
- 14:35Speaker 3: that is your opinion. You're allowed not to like it.
- 14:39Speaker 3: There have been Super Bowl shows that I've watched and
- 14:41Speaker 3: I haven't necessarily thought they were the best. But I
- 14:44Speaker 3: think it's the certain wording that she put in that
- 14:47Speaker 3: caused a problem for the show. And you have to
- 14:49Speaker 3: the show is thinking not that they hate Jill. They're
- 14:52Speaker 3: thinking about advertisers and protesting and things like that, And
- 14:56Speaker 3: I have to weigh the two. Do we go through
- 14:58Speaker 3: that or do we just say this is not the
- 15:01Speaker 3: job for you. So you have to think reality stars, yes,
- 15:04Speaker 3: say what's on your mind, but make sure that it
- 15:07Speaker 3: doesn't cross that m.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Very wise, Miss t I have trouble with this, and
- 15:13Speaker 2: I really like Aviva. On one hand, I think it's
- 15:16Speaker 2: admirable that she's sticking up for somebody who's a friend.
- 15:19Speaker 2: I stick up for my friends, But I don't want
- 15:21Speaker 2: to go down the road where you're basically saying they
- 15:24Speaker 2: were nice to me. Which is something that a lot
- 15:26Speaker 2: of people do to excuse bad behavior. It would have
- 15:30Speaker 2: been very easy for me to say I used to
- 15:32Speaker 2: work for did he did? He was nice to me,
- 15:34Speaker 2: Yes he was, But that does not mean he's not
- 15:36Speaker 2: a monster. He's a monster, he just wasn't a monster
- 15:40Speaker 2: to me. And so, Aviva, I think that's a much
- 15:42Speaker 2: more subtle and much more smart way of framing this.
- 15:46Speaker 2: You don't know if Jill is a racist or not.
- 15:48Speaker 2: You know that she wasn't racist in front of you,
- 15:51Speaker 2: but you don't know what's going on behind the scenes.
- 15:54Speaker 2: We spend so much of our lives with ourselves. The
- 15:57Speaker 2: only person that really knows one hundred percent of Jill's Aaron, Jill,
- 16:00Speaker 2: Zarah and nobody else. And she said what she said,
- 16:04Speaker 2: She said what she said, and so she's only got
- 16:08Speaker 2: herself here to blame. Some people call it cancel culture.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I like to call it consequence culture. You're allowed to
- 16:15Speaker 2: have your opinions, you really are. You're allowed to say stuff,
- 16:18Speaker 2: but if you say certain stuff, I might not want
- 16:22Speaker 2: to listen to you any more. And so, Aviva, I
- 16:26Speaker 2: get what you're doing here. You're a good friend, You're
- 16:28Speaker 2: really trying to be a good friend, but don't fall
- 16:31Speaker 2: into that trap of saying they were nice to me.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Doesn't excuse everything.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Okay, we're going to take a quick break and we'll
- 16:38Speaker 2: be right back. Welcome back to the naught even nice
- 16:41Speaker 2: Show'm your host, Tom. Shoot you my dear friend, Miss g.
- 16:44Speaker 2: There is no poll result to get to. We've really
- 16:46Speaker 2: been careful about the polls the last few weeks since
- 16:48Speaker 2: Savannah's mummy went missing. We don't want to do poles
- 16:51Speaker 2: on somebody's tragedy, so let's get straight too and nice.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Of the day, Well, our nicest of the day are
- 17:01Speaker 3: the America's Next Top Model documentary directors, because they're telling
- 17:06Speaker 3: us why Tyra agreed to sit down and have it.
- 17:09Speaker 3: So they say they were shocked that Tyro agreed to participate,
- 17:14Speaker 3: but once she did, everything was on the table. So
- 17:17Speaker 3: the filmmakers are named Daniel Sivin and more Laoshi. She
- 17:21Speaker 3: sat down for more than four hours and she was
- 17:24Speaker 3: told that nothing would be censored, and she hasn't seen
- 17:28Speaker 3: the final codmit and she might have seen it by now.
- 17:31Speaker 3: But the doc holds Tyra accountable for controversial moments while
- 17:34Speaker 3: acknowledging the early two thousands reality TV culture that fueled them.
- 17:40Speaker 3: One topic that she did refuse to discuss was her
- 17:43Speaker 3: fractured relationship with j Manuel and so as for that
- 17:47Speaker 3: rumored cycle twenty five, America's tech model, Tyra and Ken,
- 17:52Speaker 3: who was the director of this series back in the day,
- 17:55Speaker 3: are dying to reboot it, but hope that it would
- 17:59Speaker 3: evolve with the times. Now, God should If it evolves
- 18:02Speaker 3: with the times, it's because of you guys, If you
- 18:04Speaker 3: guys are controlling it.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Yes, serious, this is interesting too, and I do like
- 18:11Speaker 2: that this is the only moment of vulnerability that I
- 18:14Speaker 2: saw from Tyra in the entire documentary. When they asked
- 18:17Speaker 2: about this friendship, she made it clearer. She didn't want
- 18:21Speaker 2: to speak about it. She could have told a lie,
- 18:23Speaker 2: she could have made something of she could have brushed
- 18:26Speaker 2: away the question. It was Tyra at her most honest
- 18:28Speaker 2: and a most vulnerable, and we don't get to see
- 18:31Speaker 2: that Tira very often, if at all. So that's what
- 18:34Speaker 2: made it all such a nice, truthful moment. And now
- 18:37Speaker 2: my naughty is today naughty naughty. So Silence of the
- 18:40Speaker 2: lambstar Ted Leviean has apologizing for Buffalo Bill's role amid
- 18:46Speaker 2: transgender criticism. So when Silence of the Lambs came out
- 18:49Speaker 2: in nineteen ninety one, it really really gave an insight
- 18:53Speaker 2: into the trans community that is just not accurate, and
- 18:57Speaker 2: people at the time knew it. They to adapt the
- 19:01Speaker 2: script a little bit, but it was quote effing wrong.
- 19:05Speaker 2: That's what the actor who played Buffalo Bill is saying.
- 19:08Speaker 1: He said.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Over the years, critics have argued that characters reinforced harmful
- 19:13Speaker 2: stereotypes about trans and gender nonconforming people. He said that
- 19:19Speaker 2: he wish it had dealt with all this better and
- 19:23Speaker 2: had a little bit more understanding. It's amazing. We were
- 19:26Speaker 2: just talking about America's next top model. Also movies, when
- 19:29Speaker 2: you look back, do they hold up finally apologizing. Let's
- 19:34Speaker 2: end with a moment of rob. You're gonna rob, you
- 19:36Speaker 2: gonna RUBI you rob. The biggest success habit, let me
- 19:39Speaker 2: tell you, it's the willingness to look stupid. So success
- 19:43Speaker 2: doesn't belong to the most polished person in the room.
- 19:46Speaker 2: It belongs to the one who raises their hand and
- 19:49Speaker 2: asks dumb questions, tries risky ideas, and falls flat on
- 19:53Speaker 2: their face Publicly. Looking stupid is temporary, Staying silent is permanent.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Every breakthrough begins with awkwardness. Everything you're good at today,
- 20:04Speaker 2: you are not good at when you started. And the
- 20:07Speaker 2: people who win, they're not fearless, mis d They're the
- 20:10Speaker 2: ones that are less afraid of embarrassment. That's who wins.
- 20:14Speaker 2: People who are willing to look stupid. Let them laugh,
- 20:18Speaker 2: let them doubt, let them watch, because you are building
- 20:22Speaker 2: your future. I'm quite comfortable looking like a fool as
- 20:26Speaker 2: I start a new process, a new I've got a
- 20:29Speaker 2: novel coming guide, I'm quite I know the backlash is
- 20:32Speaker 2: going to be strong. I know people are going to
- 20:34Speaker 2: say some really harsh things.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I'm fine with that.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I'm okay looking like a fool. I'm okay feeling stupid.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Get comfortable with that, my friends. Hey, that is it
