- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: day before we get out of here. Junior, you got
- 0:06Speaker 1: a question for Steve. Yeah, what's your thoughts on how
- 0:11Speaker 1: you I just wonder how you do this? On your
- 0:13Speaker 1: time versus making money? How do you? How do you
- 0:16Speaker 1: balance that? Which one is more important to you? Is
- 0:18Speaker 1: my time versus making money? Yeah?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Well, you have to produce income, that's for sure, and
- 0:28Speaker 2: you have to have an excellent certain amount of time
- 0:31Speaker 2: invested in towards making money.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Howse do you provide?
- 0:36Speaker 2: You know, I got a lot of people counting on me,
- 0:38Speaker 2: so that's always consideration every morning that I wake up,
- 0:43Speaker 2: how much time do I dedicate to the advancement of
- 0:47Speaker 2: my career, my retirement and things like that.
- 0:54Speaker 1: And at the same time, all work and no play
- 0:57Speaker 1: makes Jack a dull boy, that's ever so true. So
- 1:03Speaker 1: each person has to have a balance. You can't just
- 1:06Speaker 1: work all the time. I've tried that. It's a grind.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I've done it, and then I tried to find little
- 1:15Speaker 2: moments of peace to squeeze in.
- 1:18Speaker 1: That's not the best way to live. Now.
- 1:21Speaker 2: You can do that for a period of time, which
- 1:23Speaker 2: is what I did, But overall it works out much
- 1:27Speaker 2: better when I take some time out to go enjoy myself,
- 1:30Speaker 2: when I take some time out to go fishing, to
- 1:33Speaker 2: play some golf.
- 1:35Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:36Speaker 2: But I've learned how to kind of you know, man,
- 1:40Speaker 2: take the time to do both now, early on in
- 1:43Speaker 2: your life and early on in your career. If you
- 1:46Speaker 2: got to put your foot on the gas pedal and
- 1:49Speaker 2: you got to keep it there for a sustained period
- 1:52Speaker 2: of time. The problem with young is you always trying
- 1:56Speaker 2: to go have fun, always trying to go have a
- 1:59Speaker 2: good time, and you're cutting into some time where you
- 2:01Speaker 2: could be building something. You know, I've said this on
- 2:04Speaker 2: the show a bunch of times. What people usually do
- 2:06Speaker 2: is they mess up their twenties, and they spend all
- 2:10Speaker 2: of their thirties trying to repair what they did in
- 2:12Speaker 2: their twenties. Then they spending all of their forties trying
- 2:17Speaker 2: to be what they could have been trying to be
- 2:19Speaker 2: in their thirties. And then they look up in they
- 2:21Speaker 2: fifty and now you have had to get real serious,
- 2:24Speaker 2: and now you're trying to fix and be everything that
- 2:28Speaker 2: you should have been and repair all the things that
- 2:30Speaker 2: you should have done. So the best thing is to
- 2:34Speaker 2: form a balance. You gotta get it in on both
- 2:37Speaker 2: sides of it. You gotta enjoy yourself, but you gotta
- 2:40Speaker 2: work at the same time. And for each person that's different.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I just decided early on to be more of a grinder.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Now I'm looking for ways to have more relaxation. I
- 2:56Speaker 2: try to get in bed while I can get at
- 2:58Speaker 2: least six hours sleeping now. Didn't work last night, but
- 3:04Speaker 2: try to get a minimum six hours sleep now.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Now.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I used to couldn't do that, man, because I was
- 3:11Speaker 2: on the grind too much. And I didn't believe in
- 3:14Speaker 2: sleeping eight hours either, because it's a third of your life. Man,
- 3:19Speaker 2: I just don't see how you could be successful being
- 3:21Speaker 2: asleep a third of your life. I just didn't. I
- 3:24Speaker 2: don't know nobody that's been able to do it. Now,
- 3:27Speaker 2: if you get successful, you can slow it down a
- 3:30Speaker 2: little bit, and you will need to. But everybody has
- 3:35Speaker 2: to make the decision on their own. So you know,
- 3:37Speaker 2: it's just easy, man, for everybody to make the decision
- 3:40Speaker 2: on what do you see yourself, ast Junior? How much
- 3:42Speaker 2: sleep you need versus work?
- 3:46Speaker 1: Five hours? About all I gets about five?
- 3:49Speaker 2: Tell me what you think work, how much work you
- 3:51Speaker 2: put in sleep? How much sleep. You need five five
- 3:55Speaker 2: and a half. Yeah, then you got to go, man,
- 3:59Speaker 2: you got to go get it. Yeah, I haven't had
- 4:03Speaker 2: eight years. I bet your wife get eight.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Oh hell yeah, I didn't counted it. I didn't watch
- 4:13Speaker 1: her do it nightly.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Yeah, Marjorie go to bed when she yawned. As soon
- 4:24Speaker 2: as she yelled, she said, I guess I'll go on
- 4:26Speaker 2: in here, lay down.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I'll be going. Well, it ain't that nice. I be
- 4:35Speaker 1: dug gone, ladies, I'm gonna sleep, y'all get.
- 4:40Speaker 2: About five about six hours?
- 4:48Speaker 1: Is that bad? Is that unhealthy? I mean the more
- 4:52Speaker 1: rest I think you, you know, helps with your health
- 4:55Speaker 1: and wellness if you can. Sometimes you can't do it. Yeah,
- 5:00Speaker 1: don't do a thing for your bank account. But you
- 5:05Speaker 1: want to be healthy though you do? Yeah? As you age?
- 5:09Speaker 1: Yeah well yeah yeah, yeah, you know like when you
- 5:17Speaker 1: when you grind it like that.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Don't you miss out on so many things in everybody
- 5:21Speaker 2: else's life, in your family?
- 5:22Speaker 1: You miss out on so much because you, Yeah, steady
- 5:24Speaker 1: out there.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I missed a lot of my kids growing up, but
- 5:29Speaker 2: I was busy trying to give them a life I
- 5:30Speaker 2: didn't have, and they got it.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:33Speaker 2: So now what you want you want me at the
- 5:35Speaker 2: house and you want this life you got, I can
- 5:37Speaker 2: stay at the house now.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I'll take the life for five hundred.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're double and triple up on the bedrooms
- 5:46Speaker 2: in here. Let me tell you that right now. Well,
