- 0:18Podcast Happy New Year Hunters are Abernikki Dakota free tag just to send Austin a
- 0:26phone text thing to join Zoom. I'm still not sure how to work technology.
- 0:33I guess even with COVID, but we've always done email. But Austin,
- 0:37I think, is somewhere and once it's to be sent to his flip
- 0:40phone. The first thing I'd say is Happy New Year, everybody, Thanks
- 0:48dak thank you. I was the first tell everybody Happy New Year. No,
- 0:55I just said that at the beginning of the podcast. No I'm in
- 0:58on New Year's Eve. I sent out text way before anybody else did.
- 1:00Oh yeah, way before the New Year. You were on top of that.
- 1:07Did you make it up in time for the Iowa Tennessee Bowl game?
- 1:11I mean I was up. I had no idea what even happened until the
- 1:15next day I was listening to podcasts I talked about. I was like,
- 1:19oh, yeah, that game happened. They had zero point. Let's see
- 1:26who they played for, Michigan, Okay, Nebraska. That's right. So
- 1:32the last three games they had ten points. Oh yeah, and I think
- 1:38they last ten quarters. I saw they only scored three points. Yeah,
- 1:42that's awesome. That's IOWA football for you to a t. Deacon Hill's freaking
- 1:49good. Yes he is, so is that coordinator? He's gone, Well,
- 2:00who do you got? National title? I guess that's the big,
- 2:01that's the big. Actually, you know what, No, let's let's save
- 2:05that here. We gotta save that. But when we get to our pick
- 2:08results here, because let's just say it's not over, it's not over yet,
- 2:14and if we ever get Austin to join, we'll do that. Do
- 2:19you are you leaning one way right now? Or you locked it? I'm
- 2:23not. God, I'm kind of leaning one way, I guess, but
- 2:29you're not young. Nope, it could switch by the the podcast. I'm
- 2:34you know what, I'm leaning pretty heavily towards one leg. Well, how
- 2:38do you can make up your honey? Take that back now I think about
- 2:42it. I yeah. Well, what we're doing today for the majority of
- 2:47the episode is our annual year in review, where we look back on the
- 2:57year twenty twenty three and reflect on our another Bulluss football season. Because technically,
- 3:05if we made a ball game and we made it past the new year,
- 3:07we would have been playing in one in twenty twenty three, But we
- 3:08know that didn't happen and did not happen again in twenty twenty four. So
- 3:15a lot of different categories, a lot of different awards were given out,
- 3:21some good, some bad. We're gonna have some nominees. Love to get
- 3:25Austin's nominations, but we made just do you and I I'm sure Dak's got
- 3:31a lot of good ones. Yep, I'm ready. So oh, where
- 3:37should we start? There's we got some team one, some individual ones,
- 3:40some awards all Husker football related. I hope yours are Husker football related.
- 3:46Right, you didn't do national I almost. I almost threw Inchmu Oklahoma ones
- 3:50just to fuck you guys. By then, I figured pride would have.
- 3:53We finished five and seven on the year, a lot of ups, slot
- 3:59it down, probably some more downs as we finished the year, but some
- 4:05momentum already heading into twenty twenty four. Let's start with the best win of
- 4:14the twenty twenty three football season. I'll let you give the first nomination.
- 4:21All right, my best win. I feel like everybody, all the fans
- 4:26are feeling the best after this win is the Pidue. I think that was
- 4:31the highest point in the moment for the Huskers. Yep, there's no doubt
- 4:34in anyone's mind they are making a bull game after that one. Yep,
- 4:38I had that one as one nomination. I mean, there's only five to
- 4:43pick from here, and two of them were against non Power five opponents.
- 4:47Another one was against Northwestern, so I had that one. The Illinois win
- 4:55on the road is the other one that I think is up for debate and
- 4:59argument. There on the road Friday night, Illinois was a little down,
- 5:05so that might discredit it a little bit, but overall, I thought that
- 5:12was a good win at the moment as well, and I guess set the
- 5:17stage for the next couple of games. But I'm with you. I think
- 5:20if I had to pick one, there's not much arguing. I think it's
- 5:25probably the Purdue win, which the Illinois the game before Purdue, right,
- 5:33I believe it was too. I believe that was our first one. Then
- 5:35we had Northwestern. Okay, Yeah, that was probably the most fun game
- 5:43to watch two for Oscar fans. With Purdue one. I mean, we
- 5:46won by thirty one. We grew up twenty for nothing, I believe.
- 5:49I'm Purdue did cut it close. I mean, I think I can't remember
- 5:56exactly what the turnovers were, but we turned the ball over there late and
- 6:01kind of let them creep back into it. But I agree. We'll give
- 6:04the what should we call these awards, Dak We gotta have a good name
- 6:09for him, The RTG Awards, the RTG Awards Great great creativity. There.
- 6:19The RTG Award for best win goes to the win over Purdue thirty one
- 6:26to fourteen. All right, let's go to the worst loss on the year.
- 6:30All I have a few different nominees. Ball start with my first one.
- 6:35Let's just start off with that. Well, I don't know where I'm
- 6:40gonna land on this. I'm going at Minnesota Week one. The way we
- 6:45lost that game was just tough. I don't think we were supposed to win,
- 6:51but man, would it have been a statement to walk out of Mini
- 6:56Minneapolis on first week of college football with a win. But we didn't,
- 7:00and we had a lot of turnovers that cost us. Jeff Simms looked pretty
- 7:05good besides the turnovers, a theme that we saw the next few games.
- 7:10But that one I that just stumped. That was a hard way to lose
- 7:14that Minnesota. Yeah, I read watched the I saw the highlights at the
- 7:19end of that game the other week and I forgot that they are fourth and
- 7:25ten if you stop and you win the game. And they made that unbelievable
- 7:27catch. Yeah, I mean it was, it was done. And the
- 7:30Greek rifle ak forty seven as you call them, corner of the end zone.
- 7:38And another one another road game that broke my heart, but I'm used
- 7:42to it by now, right, yep. Not basketball though, No,
- 7:48all right, My worst loss was Michigan State. I thought there as well,
- 7:57looking how bad they are, and they got They kind of handled you
- 8:01guys like it wasn't They didn't kick your guy like on the scoreboard, didn't
- 8:07kick your ass. But I feel like they handled that game the whole time
- 8:09through. Yeah, they were in control of the game. We were down
- 8:11twenty to ten. I think we scored a touchdown their mid fourth quarter to
- 8:16make the score look a little better. But yeah, we got our asses
- 8:20kicked. We really did. And I was also at the game for that.
- 8:26And one of the worst reffing job repping games I've ever seen. Yeah,
- 8:33will never blame the refs, but very interesting, very inconsistent both ways.
- 8:43My other nominee I had for this, there's there's a lot you could
- 8:45I mean, you could throw Iowa, you could throw Wisconsin. The other
- 8:48one that just again was embarrassing, and at the time it didn't seem bad,
- 8:52but then once we got to the end of the year was Colorado,
- 8:56I mean, just getting absolutely obliterated in Game two in Boulder and a game
- 9:03that had a lot of hype did not step up to the moment. So
- 9:07that was the other one that I had there. The Michigan State one,
- 9:11I will add, and this is why I think we should go with that,
- 9:16if you're okay with it. That was to go to a bowl game,
- 9:20and it was against a bad team, and we knew we had five
- 9:22wins, and yeah, the next three were also going to go to a
- 9:26bowl game, but that one we felt like Michigan State was not good.
- 9:30We easily could have won that game. I believe we were six seven point
- 9:33favorites going into that game. Nope, we were only three point favorites.
- 9:37But we blew it. I mean, we just played like crap. So
- 9:43oh and then and they lost six to a row. Going into that,
- 9:45Michigan State had so and they didn't win another game rest the year. Did
- 9:50they They did? Be Indiana, I believe later on, but I learned
- 10:01that no, So okay, i'd be I'd be with you to give that
- 10:09one to Minnesota, honestly, would you. Yeah, just the way how
- 10:15it ended. Yeah, I mean yeah, the way the game ended,
- 10:18and Minnesota or Minnesota, I guess they end up making a bull game.
- 10:26I'm like arguing now against my initial nomination going to Michigan. You're looking down
- 10:31the road. That decided a ball game. It did, it did,
- 10:33But Michigan State. Good God, I think that one. I don't know
- 10:37my votes Michigan State, even though I nominated Minnesota. All right, we'll
- 10:41go to Michigan State. Okay, worst loss RTG Award Michigan State twenty to
- 10:48seventeen. All right, let's move on to the offensive MBP. This is
- 11:00tough. Their offense was not good at all. Yeah, the whole offensive
- 11:07side of these it was tough. Who's your nomination? I gave it to
- 11:15the whole offensive line. Okay, So I have a here, here's what
- 11:20I want to do with this, Because as I was doing the same thing,
- 11:22I was like, God, I don't know who to give it to.
- 11:26Let's do a best offensive unit, and that's going to the offensive line.
- 11:31Yep, No, that's where that RTG Awards going towards for the best
- 11:35oh unit, and I was trying to think other ones even come close there.
- 11:39It's funny because the offensive line has been so bad the past few years
- 11:43and it wasn't good this year, but it was solid its job, So
- 11:50I'm with you. We have to pick a player though, for offensive MVP.
- 11:56I have three guys written down as like question marks. Uh. I
- 12:03don't love him, any of them really, Ben Scott, Thomas Fadoni.
- 12:07And then here's here, here's here's my m v P. And if if
- 12:11you don't like it, we don't want to do it. But Heiner Carberg
- 12:16let us to win. He let us the wins as a quarterback. No,
- 12:22just because he wasn't your best quarterback of the year, was he?
- 12:28I don't think so. I don't who who? Who would you give an
- 12:33offensive MVP award? Dude royal Loo? No, I haven't. Oh boy,
- 12:46we can't give it to I mean he he had he had a chance.
- 12:48It's gonna be someone on the offensive line, doesn't it. Yeah,
- 12:52does, And I don't know very many of them, so you'd have to
- 12:56pick out one of them. Well, I want to give an award to
- 13:01this guy. Later on, I'll give the offen MVP to Teddy per Hoska.
- 13:15Oh, we got Austin calling in now individually. See hello, put
- 13:22me on this. You haven't gotten the in or anything, right, I'm
- 13:31no, I can't. There's nothing going on. You're on speaker right now
- 13:33and we're rolling. But yeah, I can hear him. Oh I can't
- 13:37get the freak thing to work. Oh well, maybe if you didn't have
- 13:39an iPhone, or if it's a dumb phone, maybe if you had an
- 13:45iPhone. Some things don't change. I figured twenty twenty four might turn over
- 13:50a new lead for you. But really, well, we gave out the
- 13:56RTG Award for best win in against Purdue at home, the worst loss being
- 14:05at Michigan State, the best offensive unit being our offensive line, and we're
- 14:11trying to decide on an offensive MVP. Do you have any candidates for I
- 14:18think I have alright. I had this nomination too, so I was so
- 14:26I was trying to go offensive line somewhere, but I like it. We'll
- 14:30do Ben Scott offensive MVP. Okay, defensive MVP. Austin, give your
- 14:39nomination. Mine was I don't think it's a bad one. There's a lot
- 14:50of obviously potential candidates here, but the one that stuck out to me,
- 14:54I mean most was Isaac Gifford. Yeah. I mean, and if you
- 15:00look at the stats too, he let us in tackling. I mean it
- 15:01wasn't even close. Yeah, I uh, I put down Tony White.
- 15:11That is not a player. He's gonna VP though. There's one player back
- 15:20game with another one down the road. So we'll give it to We'll give
- 15:24it to GIF. I like, I think Gifford was a no brainer on
- 15:26this, and I don't think that Nash was a bad choice. He was
- 15:31gonna be my other choice. Yeah. What what about our best defensive unit?
- 15:37Oh boy, oh man, Probably probably linebackers. Yeah, that's kind
- 15:46of what I was thinking too. What mine was There wasn't much debate there.
- 15:54I I mean, I think they just were a very solid group all
- 15:58around. And what I like about him was that there were several guys at
- 16:03play throughout the year, Like, it was not the same three or four
- 16:07guys. I mean, there were a lot of guys that came in and
- 16:10out on the in the linebacking group. So I'm with it. Let's move
- 16:17on. Let's move on to the rookie, the freshman, the newcomer of
- 16:25the year, and I'm narrowing this to just freshmen. I feel like we
- 16:33all well, I don't know. Mine was Matt Kaye Coleman, just because
- 16:41at the end of the year, how much he picked up what you what
- 16:44you guys needed. If he wasn't around, you guys were absolutely screwed that
- 16:48wide receiver Austin again into their nomination. Gosh, I have all my notes
- 16:57at home. Look at you, new year, new prepared. Austin had
- 17:03had him, but then we were we were framing my friend's basement and one
- 17:08board step and then we got it stuck and then taking an hour. It
- 17:14was the whole thing. Uh. Probably the running back Dodd Johnson. Uh,
- 17:19I keep going say put knives, but that's not the one. Why
- 17:22can't I think of his name, not Emmitt Johnson Johnson, yep, I
- 17:26had him written down to I have him for a different category, uh for
- 17:34for mine, but I would have I'm leaning to going Malachi here, just
- 17:44because I think his name was talked about a lot, and I do think
- 17:47he made impact force vertically that we needed throughout the year. J Yeah did
- 18:02Yeah, he could have too there's another name, or is Devin Jenkins is
- 18:11his name? I'm not sure, but I think he's a freshman. That
- 18:18one might have been battle either. Let's let's go. Let's go Emma Johnson.
- 18:23I think that's where we heard most. Yeah, consensus there for freshmen.
- 18:27Uh, we can use somebody twice if we have to. How about
- 18:33the transit all getting sent out? Yes, sent out r t G.
- 18:40We'll give him hats for our trophies. Yeah, transfer player of the year
- 18:45guy that coming in from the portal, dak anyone else? Ben Scott I
- 18:56had, Yeah, he's he's probably one of my top two. But I
- 19:03had Billy Camp. You didn't go Jeff Simms. I had him bring another
- 19:08one down the road. I thought about I thought up on the sims in
- 19:12just No, I didn't I have Ben Scott down to I thought of Billy
- 19:18Camp. But the problem with Billy Camp was he did not live up to
- 19:21expectations. He didn't I mean, I wouldn't say he was a horrible receiver,
- 19:25but you know, kind of got injured here and there. So Ben
- 19:27Scott, you get another one. S grats big winners. So far,
- 19:36let's go. Let's stay on the players. Here for right now, the
- 19:42redemption player, the bounce back player. However, you want to look at
- 19:48a returner that played well, I think I think we might have the same
- 19:59one. I don't see if Dak has it. Is he your guys,
- 20:02boy? Who's our boy? Tommy Hill? No? Oh, oh,
- 20:12oh, gosh. I guys, I'm gonna fight you on this hard because
- 20:22I have a guy that I think is really obvious. He's on the offensive
- 20:26line, a guy that sucked last Yeah, Ben Hard, guys, he
- 20:32was very, very solid, and I want to I have stats to back
- 20:37this up. I was ready to argue this one. So now that I
- 20:41have n't, I gotta argue it. But so last year I I pulled
- 20:45up all the PFF offensive line ratings and just looked what everybody was. So
- 20:51again, this is how they measure what a good performance was in the offensive
- 20:56line in a game. Then, also through the year last year, our
- 21:00leader was Cam Jurgens at seventy point eight. Teddy Prasco was at sixty eight
- 21:06point two, new E Lee was at sixty six point eight, and then
- 21:11Sick theer Men was sixty one, Piper was fifty eight, ben Hart was
- 21:14at fifty and then Turner. Corkoran was down at thirty. Ben Hard and
- 21:19Corkoran were by far, like really bad. And again this is all the
- 21:23scale, so it really doesn't mean a whole lot the number itself. This
- 21:27year, Bryce ben Hart was our top dog at seventy point three and was
- 21:33very similar to Cam last year. And I mean, I think that speaks
- 21:36volumes to how much better he got from last year to this year. And
- 21:40on top of that, we didn't have a guy lowered fifty four, So
- 21:42I guess you could say Corkoran bounced from a thirty to a fifty four.
- 21:45That's also I could improvement. But I think ben Heart's very, very deserving
- 21:52of being the redemption player. Okay, yeah, I got a spot for
- 22:06Tommy that I didn't put him in this one. Yeah, yeah, you
- 22:11had no argument for me on ben Hart. I forgot about him. Yeah.
- 22:15He he was the worst player I've ever seen probably college football last year,
- 22:19and yeah he came back. I mean Tommy, Tommy Hill played all
- 22:22sorts of positions this year. I can't still now Iowa game. He played
- 22:26out of his mind. Yeah, all right, ben Hart, So let's
- 22:33move on to the one that I have Tommy Hill nominated for big time player
- 22:37that makes big time plays. That's gotta be. That's gotta be Tommy Hill.
- 22:41He had four picks. He had four of them, and every time
- 22:47he caught or kicker turn it's coming out. He randomly got put in for
- 22:51offense and ran vertical routes and threw the ball to him, Like, I
- 22:56don't know something about Tommy Hill would beat a big play. It's Tommy Hill
- 22:59time. Well, I had, uh, I had sims makes big time
- 23:12plays and it doesn't have to be for your team as be for the for
- 23:15your team, but it could be for the other team. Makes big plays.
- 23:21Yeah, that one's not winning, but it's a great point. We're
- 23:26not gonna give him the Yeah, I agree. I think Tommy l is
- 23:32good. Here. The other one that the dark horse sleeper. Nope,
- 23:40well now I'm gonna save him. I oldest do the next one that I
- 23:44have them all. The most overlooked player I had. I had just because
- 23:53this guy got so much ship from rule and I didn't think he was terrible
- 23:56Anthony Grant. Wow. Then I thought, because he got the most ship
- 24:07from it, wasn't awful like he was. He was good. I thought
- 24:14fumbled a lot. That's all right, everybody did, That's all right.
- 24:21I have I have an interesting guy that I could have put big time player,
- 24:25big time plays. This receiver is a freshman. Yeah, he only
- 24:33had six catches on the year, but he was number three on our team
- 24:37and yards and number two in touchdowns. Can I guess, yeah, Lloyd
- 24:47Jalen Lloyd. He didn't do much, guys, but but man did he
- 24:52make an impact when he did. And like I said, he could be
- 24:55underneath the big plays. That's all he did. He averaged forty yards a
- 24:57catch. Forty Jesus, you do you have to uh yeah. See,
- 25:11here's the thing with Fidoni. Like when I say when I think of overlooked,
- 25:17I think of a guy that, like, I guess you're not talking
- 25:19about you're talking about with what No, I guess what I yes, like
- 25:33like did do some good things, yes, but to me, like what
- 25:38he probably was expected to do or even worse than expected overlooked like boyd just
- 25:44never got spotlighted on the other one I had on here for the nomination was
- 25:48Emma Johnson as well. Like I, I just thought he did some stuff
- 25:51under the radar. Maybe not from a staff perspective, but just ran hard
- 25:56and did some things good things for us and never really got hout. It
- 26:00is like our top back, which he was late in the year. But
- 26:03that guy. I don't mind the Anthony Grant one either. I mean I
- 26:06don't mind that at all. I don't think Butler here too. Yeah,
- 26:10definitely I like that a lot too. We might need to do that.
- 26:14We've been hum the offense in our offense with ship that you collective talent.
- 26:22It wasn't necessarily one guy, do you know what? I want to do
- 26:26that, And I think Jami Butler is the perfect one. Him the other
- 26:29one that, like Javin right, I think was what he just he actually
- 26:34what I think second on our team in tackling. But like man, he
- 26:38just was solid. He's a solid player out there. Daki, I will
- 26:44let you pick it. Austin and are just throwing names out left and right,
- 26:47overlooked the player who do you who do you want? And don't pick
- 26:48Anthony Grant because as much as I like that, I don't think he's worth
- 26:52it. But let's give it to Lloyd for that stat of his he averages
- 26:59forty yards catch all right, Shawn Jackson right there, Lloyd. Let's move
- 27:08on to guy we love to watch. I was I have this guy's a
- 27:19two time winner. Jeff Simms. I loved, I loved watching him here.
- 27:26I don't think I set this to you guys, but I created my
- 27:27own category. Maybe I did. The biggest bust was that on my category
- 27:33of sense. I created that on because I knew Dak was going to try
- 27:36to bring Jeff Simms on here somewhere. We just give that to Jeff Simms
- 27:40and move on from the Jeff Simms conversation. Yep, he's the biggest bus
- 27:45goes to Jeff Simms. Congratulations Austin, guy you love to watch, And
- 27:53I'll stick to those guys on defense. I think those guys are both worthy.
- 28:00Might be mine. I really like watching him, and I'm okay with
- 28:03that. I'm okay if we want to Omar Brown. I think from a
- 28:06eventive back standpoint, I like that Nash. I'd say it would be a
- 28:10good one here for this as well. He was fun to watch, but
- 28:15he didn't like he was good? Was he fun to watch? I don't
- 28:18know. Let's go watch. Let's go Jamar Butler. I like you sure
- 28:29not? Sam's positive? All right? A couple left here. We'll do
- 28:37some more of the team based ones or bigger ones here. The best play
- 28:41of the year, we mind all. I don't know about this one.
- 28:52I had the pretty run against Wisconsin, Okay, I don't mind him had
- 29:00the gotcha? Is that reasoncy bias? I have two nominations, the g
- 29:06bel A pass against Northwestern, the Malachi and then the scoop and score blocked
- 29:15touchdown. That one, to me, I think is most deserving. But
- 29:18that's my opinion against Purdue. We haven't done that in forever. God,
- 29:22I went nuts when that happened in the stadium. Yeah, that was That
- 29:30was probably the most hyped Huscar fans got. Was that block spunt. They're
- 29:33blockfieldal oh, I thought the party one just because you were coming in.
- 29:40That was just no, that's his like first kind of full start because he
- 29:45came in at the end of the Maryland game. But he came in and
- 29:48that was the Was that the first drive? Yes? Yeah, I think
- 29:53yeah. And he came in did that and you guys like, holy ship,
- 29:57there ain't no stopping us. Now, can we split it? I
- 30:00like, can we split this one? Yeah? Okay, let's move on
- 30:06to worst play. I got two pretty pick versus Isla. Hey, that
- 30:18was not one of mine. But yes, it's so sad that we have
- 30:22such so many to pick from here. I have the interception that when we
- 30:27were I think there were like five minutes left, we were first and goal
- 30:32from the five. We threw it. We lost two yards on like a
- 30:36reverse, then third and seven again, our deep has been playing so well.
- 30:42We threw it through a pick. Maryland drives down kicks the game.
- 30:47When you feel goal, we lose like that. I have that one,
- 30:49and then I have the what the fumble that hurts? See the pretty interception
- 31:03or the combination of missing the forty four yard field goal with like five minutes
- 31:08to go again, game was tied. It would have put us up thirteen
- 31:12to ten. Our defense been playing well. All we need to do is
- 31:15make a field goal. Nope, couldn't do it. What do we want
- 31:21to go with? There's a lot. I would even throw out that four
- 31:30than ten that we talked about earlier in Minnesota. I throw that out as
- 31:34one of your worst plays. Yeah, I tried to move on for Minnesota.
- 31:41Take it ten or just Jeff sam zero zero fumbling a snap, give
- 31:48him the Colorado chance score. Oh boy, yeah, there's a lot.
- 31:53I'm good with whatever one. Let's let's do Let's do the Iowa combination of
- 31:59plays. Wait does that work? Yeah? Or yeah? Austin, I
- 32:12got you finally entered the waiting room. Oh all right, m h well,
- 32:23with a few minutes left, Austin made it. Let's go all right,
- 32:30couple left here, assistant coach, this is the coach of the year,
- 32:35and we got one other than Tony White. It's all gonna be What
- 32:45did you just say, I had Tony White that you cut it and out
- 32:53really bad. I assume you said Tony White, Yeah, Tony White.
- 32:58Okay, how about the rule moment of the year? Oh, this is
- 33:04my favorite one. I think mine's great. You guys go first, Dak
- 33:09you go. Uh. His drunk text couple of weeks ago, he bastard.
- 33:19Mine was when he came out for the last game of the year with
- 33:21the fu Man chew mustache, where he shared the oh god, well,
- 33:29I'm glad none of you, said the crowdsurfing in the locker room after Illinois
- 33:35either. I didn't love it. I mine ties into the best moment of
- 33:43the year, So I'm gonna save mine and then we can decide does it
- 33:46them because I would throw out getting rola. Okay, best moment of the
- 33:52year, that's mine, has nothing to do with our season. We got
- 33:57Dylan Roola. That's the best moment, right, it's gotta be Oh definitely,
- 34:00hey, yeah again. I saw someone tweet this and I don't want
- 34:06to drink the kool aid or the root aid or whatever you want to call
- 34:07it. But someone was like, what if this time when we say we're
- 34:13back, we're actually back because we just got the best quarterback in the country.
- 34:17Like what, we are actually back? But I think that does cap
- 34:22off the year. And then my moment of the year, I guess would
- 34:25for rule would be the the way he handled I guess all the publicity and
- 34:31media after that, I did a good job. What about what about just
- 34:36his emojis early on in the year. Is that a moment? Those were
- 34:39final? What do we want to do for rual? I really don't care.
- 34:46I love the mustache man. That was such a rule thing to do.
- 34:51I'm good with it. Yep, are you sure not? Tweets I
- 34:58was appointed that for reason? All right, I think that does it.
- 35:07So we'll put together a quick graphic and summarize all this into one before we
- 35:13go. We got some business to take care of with our picks. Here
- 35:21is where we sit, and let me go grab my sheet real quick.
- 35:23Austin is safe two games. It went well of everybody. Austin's twenty two
- 35:34and thirteen. That's a solid, solid pick. Liberty. I don't know
- 35:40why you guys picked Liberty. That was by far the doubleest pick you guys
- 35:44made. I thought it'd stay closer early on, which I kind of did
- 35:46actually, and then Oregon just like ran away with it way too fast.
- 35:51I had no clue. Bone Nicks is gonna play Nope. Dak, So
- 35:55okay, summarize Austin twenty two to thirteen, Dak twenty one and fourteen.
- 36:00Elf, I got freaking cold as hell at the end twenty and fifteen,
- 36:04I'm one behind Dak. We have one game left to pick, Dak.
- 36:07It was your idea to do double points for this last one. You still
- 36:10want to do that? Yeah, okay, great, that only helps me
- 36:17out, so yeah no what yeah? Wait wait, why did I know
- 36:21you said? Yeah? We're not going back. So here's how it's gonna
- 36:25work, Dak. You're gonna pick first the national championship and we'll go from
- 36:31there Jesus, and we will do the official line. Uh where's it at
- 36:40right now? It may move before we get there, but the official I
- 36:45saw? Oh man, what was the last you saw? Dak? Yes?
- 36:53Yah, I saw four and a half. Man, I'm scrambling.
- 37:02I believe it's still four and a half. It is okay, Washington Michigan
- 37:08College Football Playoff Championship Austin. You go first? Is your pick doesn't really
- 37:14matter, but it is double points. Michigan is four and a half my
- 37:17favorite. Yep, I'm taking Washington. Gosh, Michael Pennix is so freaking
- 37:23good. He is very good, Dak, I'm going Washington. Okay,
- 37:37what you know, Washington? I don't want to. I had Michigan predetermined
- 37:43pick before you even said that, so I'm glad we ended up opposite.
- 37:46Why did I do double points? What the great job on that? That
- 37:50means you're good? You either, oh man, you're you would have been
- 37:52a duet. I can't think that now. Practice soul over. You appreciate
- 37:58it. Yep, and now out now I'm excuse me, coming just bully
- 38:00bomb? Good God, all right, we'll be back after the game go
- 38:06be reread he we are go hoskeeys h
