- 0:10Speaker 1: Baby three little is in the building. Man, Well, so welcome, welcome?
- 0:13Speaker 1: Is this a new is this a relatively new chain?
- 0:15Speaker 1: The trench Baby chain? I probably got this like a
- 0:18Speaker 1: year ago. Not like it's a serious piece of ice
- 0:21Speaker 1: right there, the baby with the ski mask and the
- 0:24Speaker 1: miss and the matching ring. That's what's that. I've never
- 0:27Speaker 1: seen the ring chain or something. Oh, that's that's what
- 0:31Speaker 1: some have been lying, oh some at some Okay, how
- 0:38Speaker 1: did you get your name? Man? Let's get the mic
- 0:41Speaker 1: raight if you can move the mic in front of you. Perfect. Yeah.
- 0:44Speaker 1: First at first they was calling me like zays. You know, Lise,
- 0:49Speaker 1: you know me being in the streets for a long time,
- 0:51Speaker 1: you know it just start oh some oh something. I
- 0:55Speaker 1: guess it was off the street ship, you know. Yeah. Uh,
- 1:00Speaker 1: how long has it been since you decided to fully
- 1:04Speaker 1: focus on music and get out of the streets fully
- 1:07Speaker 1: because a lot of people do the one foot in,
- 1:09Speaker 1: one foot out shit real? Since I got out of jail,
- 1:11Speaker 1: because you know, I wouldn't did juvenile life. And then
- 1:13Speaker 1: when I got out, you feel me. It's just like, yeah,
- 1:17Speaker 1: I gotta focus on my craft, you know, I gotta
- 1:20Speaker 1: get my people out of the hood. I gotta get
- 1:22Speaker 1: myself together. And that's really the only lane I knew.
- 1:25Speaker 1: You know, I wouldn't I know how to adapt to
- 1:28Speaker 1: anything like hustling, fraud, whatever, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:31Speaker 1: But like, that wasn't what I wanted to do. You
- 1:33Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. The music what I wanted to do. So, Yop,
- 1:38Speaker 1: you can't open the door. You go in there. You
- 1:42Speaker 1: want a water boom, Gotta hydrate, gotta get the water man.
- 1:49Speaker 1: So you said that, Uh you obviously you did some
- 1:51Speaker 1: time in juvenile What time did you get locked up?
- 1:54Speaker 1: You're sixteen when I was fifteen? And then when did
- 1:59Speaker 1: you get out when I was? Oh I was I
- 2:03Speaker 1: was nineteen, So you did four years in between juvie.
- 2:07Speaker 1: So when you got arrested, did you go from juvenile
- 2:09Speaker 1: hall to like the adult shit? Nah? I went from
- 2:14Speaker 1: the AUDI Home, which is a juvenile correctional center, and
- 2:18Speaker 1: then I went from the AUDI Home and got sentenced,
- 2:21Speaker 1: and then I went to DC Department of Correction, Love DC.
- 2:25Speaker 1: You can't be over twenty one and no got you.
- 2:28Speaker 1: So you ended up doing time as a juvenile and
- 2:32Speaker 1: then all and then moving on to the actual like
- 2:35Speaker 1: being in jail with like people who are adults and shit.
- 2:38Speaker 1: So that was like something that kind of shook you up, obviously. No,
- 2:41Speaker 1: hell no, I was already used to it. You know.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I was in the streets. I was going to do
- 2:46Speaker 1: thirty days, then get out, Go do sixty days, then
- 2:49Speaker 1: get out, go do two months, three four months, get out.
- 2:53Speaker 1: You feel me. I was always back and forth, locked up.
- 2:58Speaker 1: When that real time came, it was like I was
- 3:01Speaker 1: already used to it for real. Damn, what was your charge?
- 3:04Speaker 1: I had aggravated discharge with a fight. I had an
- 3:09Speaker 1: arm robbery. I had a vehictor high jack. I had
- 3:14Speaker 1: a couple of a lot of ship, four years worth
- 3:17Speaker 1: of ship. Well you made it man out, you made
- 3:21Speaker 1: it out. You made it out from the other side.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I saw that. You said that back in the day,
- 3:27Speaker 1: used to rob all the cameraman in Chicago. Come on, man,
- 3:30Speaker 1: I don't do that. I had my little up. No,
- 3:35Speaker 1: I did my I did my little wrong ship. I
- 3:37Speaker 1: was gonna say, like, did you ever spend the block
- 3:41Speaker 1: on the cameraman where they ended up working with you
- 3:42Speaker 1: later on, because you know, there's there's only a few
- 3:46Speaker 1: cameramen I'm sure. I mean, I don't know. I don't
- 3:48Speaker 1: even for real, for real, I don't even remember all
- 3:51Speaker 1: the dumb ship I used to be on back when
- 3:53Speaker 1: I was on for Surety ship. But like I used
- 3:56Speaker 1: to be on some goofy ship like that. But I
- 3:58Speaker 1: don't remember exactly all the ones. You know, it probably
- 4:01Speaker 1: is because all the cameramans fucking me. You know, I
- 4:04Speaker 1: even I am today, you know, I overcame all that
- 4:06Speaker 1: just so a lot of the cameramens fuck with me.
- 4:08Speaker 1: It probably been one of the years I don't even
- 4:10Speaker 1: remember so long ago. It feels like a cameraman is
- 4:13Speaker 1: probably the easiest lit right I was, really I was.
- 4:18Speaker 1: It wasn't like I was doing it for the money.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I was really doing it to get my own camera
- 4:21Speaker 1: to shoot my own videos and have my my cameraman
- 4:24Speaker 1: shoot my videos. So you wouldjacked the nice camera, give
- 4:28Speaker 1: it to your cameraman, and it'd be like you got
- 4:30Speaker 1: new equipment, shoot my ship. That's not a bad I mean, listen,
- 4:34Speaker 1: that's not bad. At least you weren't like at least
- 4:36Speaker 1: there was some sort of purpose. You were doing it
- 4:38Speaker 1: to further your career thing I do. It's for a purpose, yeah,
- 4:42Speaker 1: and it ain't never for no reason. Trench Baby three,
- 4:44Speaker 1: you got some dope features on here. Icewarve was one
- 4:46Speaker 1: of my favorite artists is on there. I congrats to
- 4:51Speaker 1: him in the QC situation. Yeah, for obviously, Durk Herbo
- 4:57Speaker 1: for you, like this is technically is this your first project,
- 5:00Speaker 1: like as like under a major? No, hell no, I
- 5:03Speaker 1: did Hood Bible, I did Baby one, so this is okay?
- 5:08Speaker 1: So this this hood Bible. I did Hood Bible, I
- 5:11Speaker 1: did trench Baby one, Trench Baby two, and it's trench
- 5:14Speaker 1: Baby three. So folk mixtape since I've been under one?
- 5:17Speaker 1: So is this considered the tape for Ah's a mixtape? Okay?
- 5:21Speaker 1: These days I hate I hate the mixtape differentiate feel
- 5:25Speaker 1: like a bootleg. You know what I'm saying. But how
- 5:27Speaker 1: do you what's the album to the mixtape difference? Like
- 5:30Speaker 1: it feels like it's all the same nowadays. I don't
- 5:32Speaker 1: know that it is kind of the same. But I
- 5:34Speaker 1: don't like calling the mixtape because you feel like I'm
- 5:36Speaker 1: saying my ship bootleg or some ship. You know why.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I like the call it of the project or album.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You know why the label, like because the label doesn't
- 5:45Speaker 1: count against your contract, so they love it when it's
- 5:48Speaker 1: called a mixtape. No, not necessarily. Most if you recoup,
- 5:53Speaker 1: you know, then that bitch go go or some ship,
- 5:57Speaker 1: and they gonna count that bitch as an album. They
- 6:00Speaker 1: have to. Yeah, yeah, they're gonna count that mo fuckers.
- 6:03Speaker 1: So uh do you? Because I feel like your buzz
- 6:05Speaker 1: is like really catching fire. What do you think like
- 6:11Speaker 1: has been the difference in the last like twelve months
- 6:13Speaker 1: or so some sh it's really catching fire for you
- 6:15Speaker 1: in terms of just like was it things you were
- 6:17Speaker 1: doing differently? Was it a certain record that went crazy?
- 6:20Speaker 1: Like why do you think like you got the most
- 6:21Speaker 1: eyes on your light right now? I feel like the
- 6:23Speaker 1: momentum going crazy right now, you know what I'm saying.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Because my brother Smirk hopped up on the Fuck my Cubs, Yeah,
- 6:30Speaker 1: he hopped on that record, So a lot of more
- 6:32Speaker 1: people reaching out, you know what I'm saying, niggas I
- 6:35Speaker 1: hit seeing the message like hey, oh I ain't even
- 6:39Speaker 1: see this? What up? Like you know, like, eh, body, Yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 1: things falling in place since Bro hopped on the record. Yeah,
- 6:46Speaker 1: I feel like we always talk about how people get
- 6:48Speaker 1: the Drake stimulus package. There's like a such thing as
- 6:51Speaker 1: a Dirk stimulus package. Yea, so nowadays, bro my daughter,
- 6:56Speaker 1: But Dirk gang like turning niggas could real round like
- 7:01Speaker 1: folks hop on the record. I mean, we talked about
- 7:03Speaker 1: that he had up the skull, which I feel like
- 7:06Speaker 1: really put him in a different space. Dirk hopped on
- 7:08Speaker 1: that motherfucker took him out of the Boston Richie. Dirk
- 7:11Speaker 1: hop on that blood golden and this ship He's stamp
- 7:16Speaker 1: ship for sure. For people who have never heard Fuck
- 7:21Speaker 1: my Cousin, Yeah, the song titles wild explain fuck my Cousin.
- 7:28Speaker 1: It was like I just couldn't sugarcoat it, you know,
- 7:30Speaker 1: that's what it was. You know, I got a lot
- 7:32Speaker 1: of cousins that's on the other side with the ops.
- 7:35Speaker 1: So if you have a family member who's on the
- 7:37Speaker 1: other side with the ops, fuck them. Hell yeah, fuck
- 7:41Speaker 1: them because they don't think they're saying about you. Fuck
- 7:43Speaker 1: you you op. You know, like of course it won't
- 7:47Speaker 1: like I ain't seen these niggas since I was a kid,
- 7:51Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. But then my cousins, though
- 7:53Speaker 1: you feel me, So it really ain't no relationship that anyway.
- 7:56Speaker 1: You feel what I'm saying. It's just that we know
- 7:58Speaker 1: we cousins, you know, and it's up he on that side.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I'm on this side and have been times out of
- 8:05Speaker 1: gave my cousin and passes like noah, folks, don't do that,
- 8:08Speaker 1: or I was gonna keep it moving or catch him.
- 8:13Speaker 1: He's so goofied out. He's such a fucking clown. Catch him,
- 8:16Speaker 1: smack him up, punch him up, put it on camera,
- 8:19Speaker 1: uploaded on the ground or something like. Just treat him
- 8:21Speaker 1: like a flat yeah, like ship like that. Like but here, Yeah,
- 8:25Speaker 1: my homie shot my cousin and miss up, I see
- 8:28Speaker 1: my cousin, Miss Up. Is there is there like a
- 8:32Speaker 1: family like okay, because you could be you could be
- 8:34Speaker 1: cousins with somebody and barely know them. Yeah for sure, Right,
- 8:38Speaker 1: that's that's that's normal. That's what it really is. Like
- 8:41Speaker 1: with the cousins that I'm in too with. You feel
- 8:44Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like I norm I grew up with them,
- 8:47Speaker 1: But it's like, ain't no bond or no relationship. Yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. For me to feel some
- 8:53Speaker 1: type of way you have a stronger bond with your
- 8:56Speaker 1: brothers that are yeah, my brothers and my sisters, Like
- 8:58Speaker 1: I got real actual cousin is that I know that
- 9:00Speaker 1: will never turn on me, never go fuck with the ops,
- 9:04Speaker 1: never do no out of order ship or cross me.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You know, I got cousins like that. That's my real family,
- 9:11Speaker 1: right that you grew up with that you're super close
- 9:13Speaker 1: and I'm super super close with for sure. Damn does
- 9:16Speaker 1: the auntie ever call like your mom and be like hey, yeah,
- 9:20Speaker 1: And there been times like that in the past, Like
- 9:22Speaker 1: even one of my ops that's dead, like his daddy
- 9:26Speaker 1: is from well, my mama and my daddy and then
- 9:29Speaker 1: from where I grew up as a kid though right
- 9:32Speaker 1: then I moved from over there, but my mom and
- 9:33Speaker 1: them from over there. That's where they grew up at
- 9:35Speaker 1: all they life forty third state speaking, you know, Like
- 9:40Speaker 1: he came and talked to me like, yeah, y'all leave
- 9:43Speaker 1: that shit alone, y'all family woo, you know, but this
- 9:46Speaker 1: shit too deep, like bloodshit behind this shit already, so
- 9:50Speaker 1: motherfucker really can't take that shit back. I think that's
- 9:53Speaker 1: what civilians have a hard time wrapping their head around.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Why the psych who doesn't stop. And I think what
- 10:02Speaker 1: they don't understand is once blood is shed, it's like
- 10:06Speaker 1: almost like I'm not talking about your I'm not talking
- 10:08Speaker 1: about it. For the record, though, I won't make it clear.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I'm not talking about you or any situation you're I
- 10:12Speaker 1: just mean in terms of gang violence in general. Yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 1: it's just like, boy, you gotta understand, bro, if if
- 10:22Speaker 1: you kill me, I got kids, I got brothers, I
- 10:25Speaker 1: got cousins that I don't want to get to get back. Boy,
- 10:29Speaker 1: they ain't gonna play about me. They ain't gonna forget
- 10:31Speaker 1: about me. Boy, Right, It's gonna be generations and generations
- 10:35Speaker 1: of this ship. You feel me, This shit go on
- 10:39Speaker 1: and go on like generations for real, for real, It's
- 10:43Speaker 1: not possible. You took my fucker love one out this ship.
- 10:46Speaker 1: My fucker ready to man fuck ready to go all out.
- 10:49Speaker 1: You know. Did you see, uh, recently twenty one Savage
- 10:53Speaker 1: spoke about like in Atlanta, obviously there's a lot of
- 10:56Speaker 1: gang or a lot of gun violence happening. Did you
- 10:58Speaker 1: see the twenty one Savage had said he just kind
- 11:00Speaker 1: of was trying to put a message out there to
- 11:01Speaker 1: everybody to like kind of, you know, try I think
- 11:03Speaker 1: I saw a postal. He was like, we we need
- 11:06Speaker 1: to do better, Yeah, do better, try to keep the peace.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Like do you think like it would take somebody like
- 11:11Speaker 1: in that position to kind of like do the same
- 11:13Speaker 1: thing in Chicago? It doesn't matter, Like I mean, I
- 11:18Speaker 1: feel like, like I told you, it's like we I
- 11:23Speaker 1: know me personally, bro, we was in walls from generations
- 11:27Speaker 1: to go to my big homy and my old than
- 11:28Speaker 1: them homing and on was in you feel what I'm saying,
- 11:30Speaker 1: and the end it just it just kind of gets
- 11:33Speaker 1: passed on. So like that's that ship will never be
- 11:36Speaker 1: over with. I don't care who you is, bro, Like
- 11:38Speaker 1: that should never be over with. Niggas can't come to
- 11:41Speaker 1: agreement and come to each other and talk and be like,
- 11:44Speaker 1: let's squash this shit or leave it alone, or he
- 11:47Speaker 1: gonna be considered a whole He's gonna be considered a
- 11:50Speaker 1: bitch as nigga pussy a nigga. Niggas proud in the
- 11:52Speaker 1: way that it ain't gonna never It feels like pride
- 11:55Speaker 1: is probably the biggest thing standing in the way and
- 11:58Speaker 1: a lot of that shit right, yeah for sure. But
- 12:01Speaker 1: you know, like I told you, death too pride and death.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Niggas got locked up since the eighty years he told
- 12:07Speaker 1: and he's still out of jail. Niggas trying to kill
- 12:10Speaker 1: him like this. It's all types of situations, do you think, Like,
- 12:15Speaker 1: for someone like yourself that has found a way to
- 12:20Speaker 1: get out of that environment, it's like the only right
- 12:24Speaker 1: thing to do is to kind of get out of
- 12:26Speaker 1: Chicago and and and try like I told him in
- 12:29Speaker 1: La now, so you feel you think of someone like
- 12:31Speaker 1: Chief Keith. I don't think Chief Keep's been back for
- 12:33Speaker 1: I don't know how long, but you know, it feels
- 12:34Speaker 1: like he got about the way someone like God damn
- 12:37Speaker 1: snuck and never told nobody just out now. But for
- 12:41Speaker 1: the most part, I don't think you've been out there.
- 12:43Speaker 1: But hell yeah, Like it's better to just get away,
- 12:47Speaker 1: you know, it's better just get the fuck out the
- 12:48Speaker 1: city you already got, Like I'm just saying me, I
- 12:52Speaker 1: already got ops, hella ops. You feel what I'm saying.
- 12:56Speaker 1: And there's money and there's motherfucking fame. This ship bring
- 13:00Speaker 1: mot enemies and mold problems and bullshit. You feel what
- 13:03Speaker 1: I'm saying, So they just add on. So it's best
- 13:06Speaker 1: to just get the fuck away, get out of those city,
- 13:08Speaker 1: tuck off and run that ship up and take care
- 13:10Speaker 1: of your people for real, for real, this shit really
- 13:12Speaker 1: dried up in the streets. This shit over with. Yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 1: I think that's smart. Man, Help me understand, because you know,
- 13:19Speaker 1: sometimes I get frustrated from the outside looking in when
- 13:23Speaker 1: I see people who have real beef with like real
- 13:26Speaker 1: people who are from their city, like situations that you
- 13:29Speaker 1: were just talking about. But then we'll beef with rappers
- 13:32Speaker 1: that aren't from their city, and then that equals ship
- 13:35Speaker 1: and it's like almost like yo, like rap beef is
- 13:39Speaker 1: so it's turning into something very serious. Obviously, people have
- 13:42Speaker 1: lost their lives in some of these beefs. But because
- 13:44Speaker 1: this ain't this shit ain't back then like how you
- 13:47Speaker 1: will see like you'll see like or something or p Diddy,
- 13:56Speaker 1: Like they'll be like on the internet going back and
- 13:59Speaker 1: forth arguing like real, but it's like you don't never
- 14:04Speaker 1: see nobody dead behind it or you don't never see
- 14:07Speaker 1: it like go up for real for real. So motherfucker's
- 14:10Speaker 1: on the outside from the street street standpoint, like, man,
- 14:12Speaker 1: that'sh it fake the niggas doing that, that's a publicity stunner.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Some shit, you know what I'm saying, Like like us nowadays,
- 14:20Speaker 1: like it ain't no faking, like we don't know how
- 14:24Speaker 1: to fake. Were too real for this shit, Like we
- 14:26Speaker 1: don't know how to fake. Like if it's up, it's up.
- 14:29Speaker 1: We ain't finela, We ain't finna do no shit. I'm
- 14:32Speaker 1: gonna stop saying we me, I ain't finna do no shit.
- 14:34Speaker 1: To hop on the internet and be like always up
- 14:37Speaker 1: with him or it is cracking with him and da
- 14:39Speaker 1: da da da da da, and then we see each other,
- 14:41Speaker 1: we shaking hands or we taking a picture or a photo.
- 14:44Speaker 1: If I say it's up, it's really that you feel me.
- 14:47Speaker 1: But I got that side of me. I'll come to
- 14:48Speaker 1: you and talk like a man and get an understanding,
- 14:51Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. If it ain't no bloodshed behind,
- 14:54Speaker 1: or if it ain't nothing seious, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 14:56Speaker 1: I feel like the rap shit sometimes like it turns.
- 14:58Speaker 1: It starts with something like extremely weird and petty, and
- 15:02Speaker 1: then sometimes it just gets serious quick like it's like
- 15:05Speaker 1: it goes from like some weird internet ship someone's on
- 15:07Speaker 1: Instagram live saying some passive aggressive generation and different. Yeah,
- 15:12Speaker 1: it's generations different. Trump is bad. The fucker just ready
- 15:16Speaker 1: to go off the bridge that didn't give him on. Yeah,
- 15:20Speaker 1: it's it's it's like it's unfortunate too, man, because it's
- 15:22Speaker 1: like I just see this ship too much. I'm like,
- 15:25Speaker 1: gotta be a nigga like me. You gotta have this
- 15:28Speaker 1: head in his head. Yeah, I got two heads on myselves.
- 15:31Speaker 1: What do you mean by that? Two heads on myselves? Yeah,
- 15:35Speaker 1: this right here, I could be this way right here.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I can be this way right here because I've heard
- 15:40Speaker 1: the music. It feels like, you know, you got you
- 15:42Speaker 1: got some pretty aggressives. Yeah, how was your Did you
- 15:48Speaker 1: have a relationship with Vonn before he passed? Yeah? Yeah, n.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Me and Vonn used to always be in the inbox,
- 15:53Speaker 1: tweaking with each other, kicking any shit like that. Me
- 15:56Speaker 1: and Bro supposed to get the record together, but blood
- 15:58Speaker 1: was getting hot. He was doing that, he for sure
- 16:01Speaker 1: needed to do it, and I was doing what the
- 16:03Speaker 1: fuck I needed to do, you know, trying to figure
- 16:04Speaker 1: my shit out. But yeah, hell yeah, blow. It was
- 16:07Speaker 1: a cool last Dawn nigga for sure. For people who
- 16:10Speaker 1: don't know what what part of Chicago are you from,
- 16:13Speaker 1: I'm from like the southwest side, sixty third California. The kids,
- 16:17Speaker 1: that's across the western How far is that from? Because
- 16:21Speaker 1: everyone knows Old Block they got to it's on that
- 16:23Speaker 1: GTA now, So like like I'm on my hood is
- 16:27Speaker 1: from sixty first to sixty seven California, the kids. So
- 16:32Speaker 1: like you be seeing the fans tweaking under my shat, like, ah,
- 16:35Speaker 1: is they from sixty third? How he doing the song
- 16:37Speaker 1: with with dirt? Like I'm from sixty third, but I'm
- 16:41Speaker 1: from sixty third off the other side of Chicago. They
- 16:45Speaker 1: on the east side. I'm on the southwest side. Gotcha
- 16:48Speaker 1: you feel what I'm saying. So all I gotta do
- 16:51Speaker 1: is get on sixty third in California and ride straight
- 16:54Speaker 1: down to the east side and being Old Block, you
- 16:59Speaker 1: feel me, It's just like a straight shot down, straight shot,
- 17:02Speaker 1: like fifteen minutes, twenty minutes. Do you feel like for
- 17:08Speaker 1: you obviously you know having because I saw the OTF
- 17:14Speaker 1: logo on the back of your track track Listen, are
- 17:16Speaker 1: you like officially an OTF artist? You know? You know,
- 17:19Speaker 1: you know, Dirk, that's my mentor you feel So it's
- 17:24Speaker 1: just like, really, blood was just trying to get behind
- 17:26Speaker 1: me on some anything I can do to help anything
- 17:29Speaker 1: I could do to help whatever you need you need
- 17:31Speaker 1: to do, like, I'm behind you one hundred percent. You
- 17:34Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So we partner it up a
- 17:37Speaker 1: lot of you know, what is some of the game
- 17:39Speaker 1: that you know? You know, I think some people forget
- 17:41Speaker 1: how long Dirk's been at this blood. I always tell me,
- 17:44Speaker 1: like Steak consistent, like stay in the studio, whatever you
- 17:48Speaker 1: gotta do, go do that ship and then come back
- 17:50Speaker 1: to the studio. Steak assisted, it's a new artist here
- 17:54Speaker 1: a day out. You feel what I'm saying. I can't
- 17:56Speaker 1: let them forget about you, you know, Yeah, always be different.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Don't never do these niggas doing? Do you be different? Yeah?
- 18:05Speaker 1: That's crazy? You know. I feel like he's right. I mean,
- 18:08Speaker 1: I think Dirk's you went through a couple of eras
- 18:11Speaker 1: of music and a couple of eras in his career
- 18:13Speaker 1: where he was like on Deft Jam, they were trying,
- 18:15Speaker 1: took real live years of experiencing this ship on a
- 18:19Speaker 1: lot of levels. For sure. Let's talk about Chicago hip hop.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Who would you put on the Mount Rushmore of Chicago rap?
- 18:29Speaker 1: That's four people we gotta put four people, gotta put
- 18:31Speaker 1: myself though, No, you gotta excluding yourself. Exclude myself. Okay,
- 18:36Speaker 1: we're gonna put Keith. Okay, we're gonna put Juice, Chance
- 18:44Speaker 1: to rapper, Smart and Dirk. No, Kanye Kanye cool, but
- 18:53Speaker 1: I can't put Kanye up there. You put Kanye over
- 18:56Speaker 1: like that's that's that you put Chance over Kanye? Yeah,
- 18:58Speaker 1: like Chance. I feel like it's our era Kanye. That's fair,
- 19:04Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Kanye West, that's y'all era
- 19:07Speaker 1: my mama. And did you them You ain't finna catch
- 19:09Speaker 1: me riding through the city off. No, Yeah, that's feeling
- 19:12Speaker 1: gonna lot. But I funck with yr music as a person.
- 19:15Speaker 1: We both them and the most shit, like you know
- 19:17Speaker 1: what I'm saying, But like, what do you think that is?
- 19:19Speaker 1: Like in Chicago, there's such a dynamic range of artists
- 19:23Speaker 1: that are like you got the chances, you got like
- 19:26Speaker 1: the vic Menses, the Kanye's, the Commons, and then on
- 19:29Speaker 1: the other side you got the Chief Keeps, the Dirks,
- 19:31Speaker 1: guys like yourself. Like it's like either like super artsy
- 19:35Speaker 1: very like you know, heavily like art involved rap, and
- 19:40Speaker 1: then there's like the hardcore gangster ship like but but
- 19:44Speaker 1: is it because they grew up in different areas or
- 19:47Speaker 1: I don't really know the history behind like all those
- 19:52Speaker 1: all those people like cuts them in and like all them,
- 19:55Speaker 1: Like I don't I can't even tell you the street
- 19:57Speaker 1: common grew up on for real, Like I don't really know.
- 20:00Speaker 1: You ever listen to Coming probably when Pops with somebody
- 20:03Speaker 1: was listening to him Chicago Legends. Twister too, Yeah, Twister
- 20:07Speaker 1: for so I went to the gun range with Twisted
- 20:09Speaker 1: and ship. Twist took you to the gun range. Yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 1: Twist took me to the gun range. Me and a
- 20:13Speaker 1: lot of my homies. We were shooting guns and ship
- 20:16Speaker 1: he was showing us all exclusive as gun he got
- 20:19Speaker 1: all type of big crazy Yes, he's like training people
- 20:23Speaker 1: like how to get their gun perman, and yeah that's
- 20:25Speaker 1: what he that's he that's what he gonna do with me.
- 20:27Speaker 1: That's firing to give my shout out to Twister. Twist
- 20:30Speaker 1: is a great guy. How did he just reach out
- 20:31Speaker 1: to you? How do that? How did that end up happened?
- 20:33Speaker 1: I think we supposed to been doing the song or
- 20:35Speaker 1: some ship and then you know he was just on
- 20:37Speaker 1: some regular ship. Like it's beyond the song type ship
- 20:40Speaker 1: like this is beial you know on some big broler
- 20:43Speaker 1: bro shit. You know he's a good dude for sure.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Shout out to say he's a fucking legend. Shout out
- 20:48Speaker 1: to Chicago man on Fuck my Cousin. You were saying,
- 20:53Speaker 1: if you don't like the fucking OPS posts? Uh, if
- 20:57Speaker 1: you like if you like the OPS post, So, let
- 21:01Speaker 1: me ask you this, right hypothetically speaking, you have like
- 21:06Speaker 1: a relative that's close to you and we're talking like
- 21:11Speaker 1: in this song from what I gathered, if you're cool
- 21:13Speaker 1: with my ops or if I'm cool with you, that
- 21:16Speaker 1: means that you can't you can't be fucking with the ops.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Is that fair? Yeah? Yeah, Like if I'm fucking with
- 21:24Speaker 1: too and you fucking with my OPS shit, you might
- 21:28Speaker 1: backdope me. You might get me smoked, you might set
- 21:31Speaker 1: me up rob me. I don't know. So if you're
- 21:33Speaker 1: cool with somebody, if you cool with somebody that's trying
- 21:36Speaker 1: to kill me or so, let me ask you this, right, So,
- 21:38Speaker 1: like hypothetically speaking, like you will you inherit someone's beef
- 21:41Speaker 1: that you're fucking with or would you just kind of
- 21:43Speaker 1: be like, I ain't beefing with him, but I'm not
- 21:45Speaker 1: fucking with him. No, that's the type of thing I am.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I ain't beefing with him, but I'm not fucking with him.
- 21:52Speaker 1: That's fair what I'm saying. I play both sides or
- 21:57Speaker 1: be in the middle, because I know being in the
- 21:59Speaker 1: middle to lead to a lot of other shit. Niggas.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Don't be righteous, nigga, really be like I'm in the middle,
- 22:06Speaker 1: or really be over there plotting to come get your ass.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Feel myself, I don't trust none of that shit. If
- 22:11Speaker 1: you fuck with them, fuck with them't fuck with you.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Because I think some people saw I think Richard the
- 22:17Speaker 1: Kid had dinner with uh with Dirk, But Richard Kid
- 22:23Speaker 1: has an album with a young boy, so a lot
- 22:25Speaker 1: of people are like, what the fuck is going on here?
- 22:27Speaker 1: Right right? I feel like like the young boy smirk
- 22:30Speaker 1: shit like this, it's it's happening. But I feel like
- 22:34Speaker 1: a lot of artists on real time and if things
- 22:39Speaker 1: just throwing theyself, you a bitch ass goofy as the
- 22:43Speaker 1: lame ass nigga. If you just hop out that throwing
- 22:45Speaker 1: yourself with somebody beef, you don't really got in a
- 22:47Speaker 1: relationship with the nigga. You ain't really nothing. You just
- 22:50Speaker 1: Dick ride. It's almost like it's like some clop chasing
- 22:54Speaker 1: ship low key here, like like that's just Dick riding game.
- 22:58Speaker 1: If you hop, then another motherfucker beef down. Got nothing
- 23:01Speaker 1: to do with you. I agree, I just I agree.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I agree with you. Yeah for sure. I think like
- 23:06Speaker 1: at the end of the day, like it's like I
- 23:08Speaker 1: think that that Dirk uh young boy thing is like
- 23:11Speaker 1: one of those things that like to me, felt like
- 23:13Speaker 1: some rap shit and it was like, okay, yeah, obviously no,
- 23:17Speaker 1: see I knew it want no rap shit. Folks like
- 23:20Speaker 1: you gotta understand, like I know niggas around Dirk, I
- 23:23Speaker 1: know personally, like we've been locked in for years since
- 23:26Speaker 1: way before this ship. You feel what I'm saying, Like
- 23:28Speaker 1: I was even fucking with a fewer NBA and all
- 23:32Speaker 1: lay homies over there. I feel what I'm saying, like,
- 23:35Speaker 1: but smirking them is from my city. I've been locked
- 23:38Speaker 1: in with them for a long long time, like it's
- 23:41Speaker 1: real live love with them like that. You feel what
- 23:44Speaker 1: I'm saying, But I'm not out here. Oh fuck, young boy.
- 23:48Speaker 1: He right, You're not jumping out and do that. That's
- 23:50Speaker 1: what I means. I think that's but I think that's important.
- 23:53Speaker 1: That ain't meause I think some people would do that,
- 23:55Speaker 1: and I know how they'll be there to see me
- 23:57Speaker 1: on the song with smirking all the fans like, oh
- 23:59Speaker 1: you you into a young Boy, Yeah, which is fucking
- 24:03Speaker 1: I think a lot of this ship too, is like
- 24:05Speaker 1: fans pushed that ship, dude, Yeah, they pushed that ship.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I think like if you think of what's going on
- 24:10Speaker 1: with Kodak and Young Boy right now, it feels like
- 24:12Speaker 1: it's all fans. The fans created some bullshit between two
- 24:16Speaker 1: artists that should have no problems. They're not from the
- 24:19Speaker 1: same section, they're from fucking the same state. It's just
- 24:22Speaker 1: some fan ship that turns into some real ship or
- 24:25Speaker 1: you know, some internet ship, I guess. But about some
- 24:27Speaker 1: questions about Rich, the kids sitting in the room and
- 24:29Speaker 1: ship like that, I don't really got no comment on
- 24:32Speaker 1: it if you want them niggas, that's just really in
- 24:34Speaker 1: the middle and don't got none. Yeah. I think like
- 24:36Speaker 1: Rich is obviously somebody who was It was like a
- 24:38Speaker 1: big dinner with a lot of people and it's like
- 24:40Speaker 1: he's he's a businessman. We don't get no fuck in
- 24:44Speaker 1: that environment. And you right here fucking with the ops
- 24:49Speaker 1: or you into a phone numb was that it's up
- 24:52Speaker 1: with you. You feel what I'm saying. So Phont was
- 24:55Speaker 1: in the denner with him, so I know they ain't
- 24:57Speaker 1: feeling no type of threat or he want he he
- 25:00Speaker 1: couldn't have been on shit to you know, to be
- 25:03Speaker 1: sitting there. So kid, you know when you think of
- 25:08Speaker 1: like some of your peers and like how they've evolved musically, right,
- 25:14Speaker 1: think of Dirk, Like Dirk's evolved musically and like a
- 25:17Speaker 1: level that's like crazy. Like you know, if you heard
- 25:19Speaker 1: some shit from nine years ago and you heard some
- 25:22Speaker 1: shit today, it's like it's like night and day. Like
- 25:24Speaker 1: you know what I mean, It's Pen's gone crazier, The
- 25:26Speaker 1: record's gone crazier. What are you doing, like just on
- 25:29Speaker 1: the artist's side to like push yourself when you're in
- 25:31Speaker 1: the studio, are you fucking working with new producers? Like
- 25:35Speaker 1: how's your writing process? Are you taking things you learn
- 25:37Speaker 1: from other artists and applying it to your craft, Like
- 25:39Speaker 1: just in terms of just improving the craft of like
- 25:42Speaker 1: your records and just as an artist as an MC,
- 25:44Speaker 1: like what are the things that you're trying to always improve?
- 25:50Speaker 1: I feel like I'm always trying to improve, like storytelling,
- 25:54Speaker 1: like getting my words out better, like putting it together.
- 25:59Speaker 1: This happened is and that happen? Why this happened? Like
- 26:02Speaker 1: I'm that creative trying to put the songs together like
- 26:05Speaker 1: that for people to really understand, you know what I'm
- 26:08Speaker 1: saying and not just in my rap, just like talking
- 26:11Speaker 1: about this thing and then go all the way to
- 26:13Speaker 1: this subject and that like niggas be jumping around and sure,
- 26:17Speaker 1: storytelling is important. Man. What's some of your favorite like
- 26:20Speaker 1: storytelling records as a fan? Because there were some great ones.
- 26:23Speaker 1: M crazy story about King one? Mm hmm. What else
- 26:33Speaker 1: I could say? One of my records called Survive M
- 26:40Speaker 1: who else? This is storytelling? Shit? Oh? I think speaking
- 26:45Speaker 1: because I think, Okay, what was that song he made
- 26:48Speaker 1: back then? I can't even remember the song, but I
- 26:50Speaker 1: think I sucked it on that storytelling. There's a lot
- 26:52Speaker 1: of more fuckers. I just can't really think of talking.
- 26:54Speaker 1: You gotta listen as a jay Zon which one? I think, Yeah,
- 27:00Speaker 1: where he got one? Bro and meet me one? Shout
- 27:03Speaker 1: out there's a jay Z song. The next time you
- 27:08Speaker 1: get a chance, there's a jay Z record. He want
- 27:12Speaker 1: to be Jay Z. It's called Meet the Parents. Just
- 27:15Speaker 1: listening to that record, But folks, I got a record
- 27:18Speaker 1: called Meet the Parents with another artist. So the song
- 27:21Speaker 1: is about jay Z's rapping, uh, from the perspective of
- 27:27Speaker 1: three different people. A kid dies, he gets shot, right,
- 27:31Speaker 1: so he's rapping from the perspective of that kid's he
- 27:34Speaker 1: gets killed by his dad. His dad doesn't know it's
- 27:36Speaker 1: his kid. He's rapping from the perspective of the dad,
- 27:39Speaker 1: and its rapping from the perspective of the mom. It's
- 27:42Speaker 1: fucking crazy. But like every time you listen to it,
- 27:45Speaker 1: you'll hear like a new Like it's almost like a
- 27:48Speaker 1: Quentin Tarantino movie. But on record. My favorite storytelling record ever.
- 27:51Speaker 1: My suggestion just a little you know, an old head suggestion,
- 27:55Speaker 1: jay Z meet the Parents. That a step of storyteller. Yeh,
- 27:58Speaker 1: smoke you got more weed? No, there's definitely that t shirts.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I can get you a pre roll though, grab a
- 28:06Speaker 1: pre roll out of there. No, no, don't smoke. Smoke. Oh,
- 28:09Speaker 1: I mean this is a this is a raw paper.
- 28:13Speaker 1: It's it's good for you. I mean, you only smoke
- 28:17Speaker 1: the grabble leaf. The thing about the leaf is like
- 28:20Speaker 1: it's such a process, like you pull this fucking thing
- 28:22Speaker 1: out of a bag of two seconds. Yeah. I was
- 28:27Speaker 1: in the studio the other day with the Tory Lanes
- 28:29Speaker 1: and every time he needed to roll something new and
- 28:32Speaker 1: just seeing him pull this fucking leaf out, and I'm
- 28:34Speaker 1: just like, they really stuff a whole ass leaf in
- 28:36Speaker 1: a bag and then you just find your the part
- 28:39Speaker 1: you like. And then I'm gonna tell you this, like,
- 28:43Speaker 1: I don't have any rolling uh talents, and I can
- 28:46Speaker 1: only imagine the grabble leaf looks like the hardest thing
- 28:49Speaker 1: to roll. Nay, that's absolutely easy. See, That's why I
- 28:53Speaker 1: like the bro to have amount of weeds you got,
- 28:56Speaker 1: you got some well, yeah, because it's a fucking leaf.
- 29:00Speaker 1: You could just cut what your needs, cut what you
- 29:02Speaker 1: did you have? You always smoked grabber leaves, Yeah, No,
- 29:05Speaker 1: I was. I hear my room with backwoods and I
- 29:07Speaker 1: was smoking hill the backwoods. I can't fuck with the backwards.
- 29:10Speaker 1: My rooms with the leafs, and I was smoking the leaves.
- 29:13Speaker 1: It's just you're never smoking papers though. No, I'll never
- 29:17Speaker 1: smoked peer. You know. If you ever, probably when I
- 29:20Speaker 1: was a young nigga, smoking leaves off the tree and
- 29:22Speaker 1: smoke goofy ship all the big like the big big smokers,
- 29:26Speaker 1: Wiz Burner. They only smoke papers, you fucking Burner. That's
- 29:30Speaker 1: because they probably getting old and shit, they don't want
- 29:32Speaker 1: to fuck up their body right now. It's an old
- 29:35Speaker 1: guys ship. Old guys. Shit, they getting old and they
- 29:38Speaker 1: ain't trying to be around his bit losing their breath.
- 29:41Speaker 1: All it's good for you, though, I mean, I don't
- 29:44Speaker 1: know if it's good for you. Let's say I get old.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Don't start smoking papers when I get older than the
- 29:48Speaker 1: thirty Do they do the uh splits in Chicago where
- 29:51Speaker 1: you get the tobacco and you put everybody smoked backwoods.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Everyone's on backwards? Yeah? Yo uh. In terms of shout
- 30:01Speaker 1: out to the Bulls, the Bulls had a little Are
- 30:03Speaker 1: you like a basketball fan? I'm a basketball fan, but
- 30:06Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie with Warriors fan. Stephan Curry and
- 30:09Speaker 1: Thompson my favorite two players. Disgusting, I know, but I
- 30:14Speaker 1: go to the Bulls game. I support the Bulls and
- 30:16Speaker 1: they've only been good for like six years the Warriors.
- 30:20Speaker 1: It don't matter though. Like I was, I really got
- 30:22Speaker 1: hooked to basketball in jail. I wasn't no basketball watching
- 30:25Speaker 1: that nigga is I was in jail on some boys
- 30:28Speaker 1: when the Warriors were good, and really got hooked to
- 30:30Speaker 1: the Warriors because they was going so crazy. I got
- 30:33Speaker 1: the betting on the ass and jail and the thing. Damn. Yeah,
- 30:39Speaker 1: this guy from Chicago, he's a Warriors fan. Hey, yeah,
- 30:42Speaker 1: shout out the Bulls though you know that's home team.
- 30:45Speaker 1: You got Alex Caruso, you got. I don't know nobody
- 30:49Speaker 1: on the Bulls. I knew only Nigga I was fucking with.
- 30:51Speaker 1: From the Bulls is one Dale Carter. But he traded
- 30:53Speaker 1: from he got traded. Yeah, he got traded. I think
- 30:56Speaker 1: he's on the Magic now. I told my boy, he said,
- 30:58Speaker 1: have stayed at the Bulls. Don't think he was up
- 31:00Speaker 1: to him. He got traded. You ain't got traded. No,
- 31:04Speaker 1: I don't know he's on the He's on the Magic now.
- 31:06Speaker 1: He's saying he was weak brod. No, I'm saying, no. Cardida.
- 31:13Speaker 1: How often do you go home? M Like it's it's
- 31:17Speaker 1: early on. I just moved to l A, so it
- 31:20Speaker 1: was really like I'd be home six ship. I want
- 31:23Speaker 1: to go chill phone them, I want to go do
- 31:26Speaker 1: other ship fly out just in the morning to be like,
- 31:29Speaker 1: come on, we're able to bring your family with you. Yeah,
- 31:32Speaker 1: that's important. Got your mama out of there, that's super important. Man.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Well my mama she ain't come yet. She hasn't come yet.
- 31:39Speaker 1: She'd be saying on the leavest cargo. Get her out
- 31:42Speaker 1: of there. Man, she got my grandma, she got to
- 31:44Speaker 1: take care. Get both of them out of there. I'll
- 31:46Speaker 1: be telling them. She says, she's scared to ride the plane.
- 31:50Speaker 1: What you got to send her a sprinter or something. Yeah,
- 31:53Speaker 1: she she she talk low right now, though, but she
- 31:56Speaker 1: definitely gonna come out here. I'm a maker. Is she
- 31:58Speaker 1: like out of the area least? Yeah, a different area. Yeah. Yeah,
- 32:04Speaker 1: you're like because for people who don't know, like obviously,
- 32:07Speaker 1: Chicago's a very segregated city, it's probably one of the
- 32:09Speaker 1: more heavier, like segregated cities in the country. Like there's
- 32:15Speaker 1: would you say so in terms of just like this
- 32:18Speaker 1: area is this area? Because I had Emon Shepherd on
- 32:21Speaker 1: it he was talking about just how segregated it is.
- 32:24Speaker 1: I think. I mean, I've been to a lot. I
- 32:27Speaker 1: don't know. I just I'm from the Rack for real,
- 32:30Speaker 1: and I've been everyone in the Rack. You know, it's
- 32:33Speaker 1: probably been a lot of a couple of cities I
- 32:35Speaker 1: ain't been to in Illinois, but like, for the most part,
- 32:39Speaker 1: I feel like I see black people everywhere. Right Literally,
- 32:43Speaker 1: I don't give an If I'm in this little ass town,
- 32:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna see at least one black person. No for sure,
- 32:47Speaker 1: for sure, for sure, but for the most part, it
- 32:50Speaker 1: probably is segregated because I go somewhere and I see
- 32:53Speaker 1: none but Mexicans over here. Then I go so, I
- 32:55Speaker 1: see number of white people over here. Then you go
- 32:58Speaker 1: over here number of black people. Probably a couple of
- 33:01Speaker 1: Mexicans stay on the block, you know, Like I heard
- 33:03Speaker 1: they have decent Mexican food in Chicago because there's a
- 33:05Speaker 1: big there's a big I'm from a Meskan like area.
- 33:09Speaker 1: They don't have the best. Relax. You're in California. Tacos
- 33:14Speaker 1: whack and say, where did you go? I went to
- 33:17Speaker 1: Pink Taco. I went to motherfucker's your fucking problem. Look look, look,
- 33:21Speaker 1: Pink Taco's white people tacos. Listen, let me tell you.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I went to no that one Mexican food. Man, you
- 33:30Speaker 1: have to I went to a couple sponsible they hear tacos.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Was it a truck? Was it a truck. I did
- 33:35Speaker 1: the truck before too, but that it wasn't only the
- 33:37Speaker 1: truck though, you have to go to Leo's Taco truck.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Leo's Taco truck. I don't like eating at the trucks.
- 33:43Speaker 1: I feel like I'll be getting sick. Or maybe it's
- 33:45Speaker 1: just a man things. It's a mind things like I
- 33:48Speaker 1: getting sick. You can't bring up Pink Taco though that
- 33:52Speaker 1: ship was so weak, got awful. But Pink Taco is
- 33:55Speaker 1: fucking white. It's a white person owned establishment. When I
- 34:00Speaker 1: first got down the first time me ever coming to
- 34:02Speaker 1: LA when I got signed to one in twenty nineteen,
- 34:06Speaker 1: I'm trying to find have the ship to eat. I
- 34:07Speaker 1: can't find it now. Since since then, I've been out
- 34:11Speaker 1: here a hundred times, and I no, no, no, no,
- 34:14Speaker 1: I got to get you round, no whole piece of
- 34:15Speaker 1: got the good wings. That's it. Like I don't really,
- 34:19Speaker 1: y'all look drive through like all you gotta tap in, man, Yeah,
- 34:23Speaker 1: I got are you in the valley? You're like over
- 34:26Speaker 1: this way? Yeah, there's great. Come on, literally just drive
- 34:29Speaker 1: around North Hollywood and just chef grizzlies. No, I don't
- 34:33Speaker 1: know what that is. Some black people chef Grizzlies fire Macaroni.
- 34:41Speaker 1: I'm not mad at that. I like macaroni black people
- 34:44Speaker 1: since a lot of people I love so far? Do
- 34:46Speaker 1: you ever have conkor? And I like that. When I
- 34:48Speaker 1: said black who was on the album? I saw herbo Vezzo,
- 34:53Speaker 1: Derris her vel PG, little Dirt, Freddo Bang shouts Alfredo.
- 35:01Speaker 1: He's a great guy. Yeah, boy, very very nice dude. Man.
- 35:07Speaker 1: What's your favorite song on the album? All all of them? Heah, yeah,
- 35:11Speaker 1: all of them. I feel like I overdid this one.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Ain't gonna. I feel like this one of the hardest.
- 35:16Speaker 1: I really brought that back for they the PEG. It's
- 35:20Speaker 1: the real Do you feel like the fans are I
- 35:22Speaker 1: feel like they're satisfied? I was saying, are they giving
- 35:25Speaker 1: you that same feedback? They giving me that feedback? You
- 35:27Speaker 1: we ain't crazy. It's one of the best albums. We
- 35:32Speaker 1: want some old thinking about doing the deluxe. Yeah, though,
- 35:36Speaker 1: you gotta do the deluxe. I feel like it's kind
- 35:38Speaker 1: of the thing to do. I don't know, yeah, because
- 35:41Speaker 1: you got you have to feel like I'm gonna just
- 35:43Speaker 1: go gost real quick and then come back and drop
- 35:46Speaker 1: an album. I was gonna say, when you do deluxe.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Usually it's like you have three or four songs that
- 35:51Speaker 1: you wanted to put on the album, didn't make the album,
- 35:52Speaker 1: and it's easy to just throw them on it. Do
- 35:54Speaker 1: you have those records of mind? I got a hundred
- 35:56Speaker 1: songs that didn't make the album that I wish would
- 35:58Speaker 1: have made the album. It's crazy because so many artists
- 36:01Speaker 1: have that right where they have all these records that
- 36:04Speaker 1: will never fucking hear you know what I'm saying? What
- 36:08Speaker 1: do you want? Like like, when you cut a record,
- 36:10Speaker 1: do you pretty much know within like a day whether
- 36:12Speaker 1: or not it's like worth releasing. Yeah, I know right
- 36:16Speaker 1: then and there, like yeah this one once, Yeah, Well
- 36:18Speaker 1: I see in the studio and you'll know otherwise. Do
- 36:23Speaker 1: you kind of look at like the recording process, because
- 36:25Speaker 1: if you're recording that much, you know a lot of
- 36:27Speaker 1: this shit ain't gonna come out. It's kind of like
- 36:28Speaker 1: working out, like the way somebody will go practice. If
- 36:32Speaker 1: it don't come out with this, it's gonna come out
- 36:33Speaker 1: with that, you know. I feel like everythings gonna get used.
- 36:36Speaker 1: This is timing. I make a lot of type of
- 36:41Speaker 1: different music just tim You're talking earlier about Juice World
- 36:45Speaker 1: Juice World. Obviously one of them ones gone too soon? Uh.
- 36:50Speaker 1: You first thing to take me to the chain Smoker's house.
- 36:53Speaker 1: You went to the chain smoker's crib. Yeah, they were
- 36:56Speaker 1: spraying me with water while I was sleep. I woke
- 36:59Speaker 1: up many tweaking boy fuck is all doing what's that?
- 37:02Speaker 1: What's that? First of all, tell me this story. How
- 37:04Speaker 1: did you end up with Juice Roll going to the
- 37:06Speaker 1: chain Smoker's house? Because I was in a mystic. I
- 37:09Speaker 1: was like label shopping and ship like that. They like
- 37:13Speaker 1: had a lot of deals on the table and ship
- 37:15Speaker 1: and I went to link over my boy g money
- 37:18Speaker 1: and busying them because they were changing Stammy and ship,
- 37:20Speaker 1: and they flew me to La and I I went
- 37:23Speaker 1: to they crib and shit, I was out there for
- 37:25Speaker 1: them with them for a couple of days and shit
- 37:28Speaker 1: and me and Juice was chilling. Juice took me to
- 37:30Speaker 1: the studio Young Thug and then we left the studio
- 37:35Speaker 1: with Young Thug and Tank God. Then we went to
- 37:38Speaker 1: the chain Smoker's crib and Bro we got there, they
- 37:42Speaker 1: were sitting up in that motherfuckers just chopping it up
- 37:44Speaker 1: and Ship talking about go play lads and tag it
- 37:47Speaker 1: all type of shit. They was tweaking. I fell asleep,
- 37:50Speaker 1: knocked out in that bitch. They were spreading waters while
- 37:53Speaker 1: I sleep. I wake up, man, y'all, that was tweaking. Boy, yall,
- 37:56Speaker 1: white boys better smack the shit out there. Yeah, white
- 38:00Speaker 1: humors different. Man, You hang out with enough white people,
- 38:02Speaker 1: you get immune to some interesting human No, but I
- 38:05Speaker 1: love white guys, you know what I'm saying. Fun with him.

- 38:20Speaker 1: I don't want to need he wake up and be like,
- 38:22Speaker 1: come on, let's go ride the dirt bike. So let's
- 38:25Speaker 1: go play the Xbox folks. Was like he was grown,
- 38:27Speaker 1: but he was like always on some activity kids. Sholk.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Yeah he was young man, That's what people forget. Like
- 38:34Speaker 1: he was such a prolific artist, but he was barely
- 38:37Speaker 1: got to live a lot of his life, you know
- 38:38Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Yeah, he was on some young kids too. Though.
- 38:41Speaker 1: When you see, I would say, when you see a
- 38:43Speaker 1: guy like Bibby who was able to like successfully transition
- 38:46Speaker 1: from being an amazing artist into big CEO ship. You
- 38:51Speaker 1: know what I'm saying is that is that something that
- 38:54Speaker 1: inspires you that you kind of inspire to try to
- 38:55Speaker 1: get to eventually, like where you can sign artists, you
- 38:57Speaker 1: can kind of be that. Yeah, I want to get
- 38:59Speaker 1: to that point. Really, I want to wrap get real, real, real, real,
- 39:02Speaker 1: real rich to that point where I can just really
- 39:04Speaker 1: like sit back and like spend time my kids, spend
- 39:08Speaker 1: time with my family and real real, live, live life
- 39:12Speaker 1: without and then let other people put out out your Yeah,
- 39:16Speaker 1: like I want to sit on my ass and EM's
- 39:18Speaker 1: coming in. You feel that's that's the way to go. Man,
- 39:20Speaker 1: are you doing anything like that, like in terms of
- 39:22Speaker 1: like the money you're making or you're reinvesting in it,
- 39:24Speaker 1: or like yeah, for sure, what are you doing? It
- 39:27Speaker 1: ain't no real live like crazy shit, crazy shit. It's
- 39:32Speaker 1: just something mining right now. That's good. So stay out
- 39:35Speaker 1: that crypto man, that cryptos, they're full of ship. With
- 39:37Speaker 1: the crypto. You're gonna up like the guy on the
- 39:39Speaker 1: couch over there, he put all his money in crypto.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Look at him. You're straight. No, you're not not off
- 39:44Speaker 1: the how much money you got left out of that
- 39:46Speaker 1: fucking money you put in your fucking crypto. You got
- 39:48Speaker 1: about ten cents left. That's what you got. That ship crash.
