Okay, first up, let's tackle logistics. You're gonna wanna grab your calendar for these. Fall conference requests.
- 0:19You need to schedule those for November, and you do that right through the Genesis parent portal, you know, where you book those teacher meetings. Super important. The portal opens Tuesday, October 28 at 10AM sharp, and it closes Tuesday, November 11 at 3PM. Oh, and a heads up, schools close Wednesday, November 5 for professional development, and then Thursday and Friday, November, because of the NGAA convention, that's the big state teachers meeting. Second, get ready for some fun stuff.
- 0:48LHS, that's Lawrence High School. They're hosting the fierce powder puff flag football game. It's Wednesday, November 12, 6PM, right on the stadium turf. Spectators, it's just $5 to get in. Plus, tickets are already on sale for the LHS Theatre Company's Pride and Prejudice production.
- 1:04That's running November 13 through the fifteenth, and hey, student athletes, don't forget that NCAA workshop that's set for Tuesday, November 11, 6PM in the cafeteria. Finally, there are some really great ways to support the community right now. Students are collecting travel size hygiene things, you know, like deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, to make personal kits for home front. That's a wonderful local group helping folks experiencing homelessness. You can drop off donations in Room 106 or the front vestibule.
- 1:30Also remember, November is men's health awareness month. You can get involved with the Movember foundation, maybe grow a mustache or try to move 60 miles. It all supports suicide prevention and cancer research. Pretty cool. So yeah, keep these dates handy for seamless school logistics, exciting events, and crucial community support opportunities.
