Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's variety, Big ninety eight point seven. Well, don't be surprised.
- 0:03Speaker 2: If you look outside in the next hour, you might
- 0:05Speaker 2: see some flurries. Nothing that's really going to stick around,
- 0:07Speaker 2: and it might just blow right past us at midwest
- 0:09Speaker 2: blizzards day in South and today we are going to
- 0:11Speaker 2: get some clouds high of above forty eight.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Well, we have some good news.
- 0:16Speaker 3: I guess if you are into the astronauts who have
- 0:19Speaker 3: spent way too long in the International Space Station, they.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Are finally on their way home Sunny.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Williams and Butch officially wrapped up their unexpected nine months
- 0:29Speaker 3: stay aboard the ISSS that was the result of issues
- 0:33Speaker 3: with their Boeing Starliner spacecraft. They're returning to Earth in
- 0:38Speaker 3: space in the in a SpaceX capsule excuse me, that
- 0:42Speaker 3: docked at the station over the weekend. Is splash down
- 0:45Speaker 3: off the Florida coast. Is expected just before six pm
- 0:48Speaker 3: Eastern time, so according to my Fargo math, that'd be
- 0:52Speaker 3: five o'clock tonight.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I am so excited to see them land, mainly because,
- 0:57Speaker 2: and it kind of brought this up a little bit yesterday.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I am more intrigued with the aftermath. You've been somewhere
- 1:04Speaker 2: up in space for nine months and just coming back
- 1:08Speaker 2: down to Earth and gravity and all of that. They
- 1:11Speaker 2: said that immediately when they land they have to put
- 1:14Speaker 2: them in a wheelchair or some sort of chair because
- 1:17Speaker 2: they can't get grounded.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Oh, they probably feel like they weigh a thousand pounds
- 1:22Speaker 3: and they just floating around your weigh nothing.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Got to go through a rehab and everything. And I
- 1:26Speaker 2: have not seen seven one two eight HO one d
- 1:28Speaker 2: e E seven. If there is some sort of documentary, I
- 1:30Speaker 2: would love to follow, and maybe they're going to do
- 1:32Speaker 2: something like this sure their journey back to I guess
- 1:36Speaker 2: normalacy just in general.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Yeah, this story has made me realize I didn't know
- 1:42Speaker 3: I was this passionate about this until seven forty two
- 1:45Speaker 3: this morning. I think I'm just kind of done with space,
- 1:49Speaker 3: Like I'm over it. I think just trying to get
- 1:51Speaker 3: to the moon and going and floating around amongst the
- 1:54Speaker 3: stars is completely pointless.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I know that's probably not true. I'm sure there's some
- 1:59Speaker 3: benefit or whatever, but really not really. I don't know
- 2:03Speaker 3: how many benefits I've received from space, So I'm kind
- 2:05Speaker 3: of just over it.
- 2:07Speaker 1: You just don't want them to go ever, Well, is it.
- 2:10Speaker 1: At what point? Is it not just kind of a
- 2:11Speaker 1: waste of money at this point?
- 2:13Speaker 3: Oh well, I'm just I'm curious what we get from
- 2:16Speaker 3: space other than we scratch our exp exploring itch.
- 2:23Speaker 2: I would like to think they're the ones selling us
- 2:24Speaker 2: that that big asteroid was supposed to be coming. Remember everybody,
- 2:28Speaker 2: I was thinking out a couple of weeks ago, like,
- 2:30Speaker 2: oh my gosh, it's a sendimeter closer to us. Yeah,
- 2:33Speaker 2: and then they were wrong. I just don't understand, so
- 2:36Speaker 2: I am pleading ignorant. I don't get it.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I don't know the uses of us going to space
- 2:42Speaker 3: other than you get home and you get a big
- 2:44Speaker 3: bragging story at Thanksgiving. I mean, going to space is
- 2:48Speaker 3: something point zero zero zero zero zero zero. One percent
- 2:52Speaker 3: of the population on Earth gets to experience.
- 2:56Speaker 2: So like the ladies, what is it, Gail King, Katy Perry,
- 2:59Speaker 2: They're also to be going up and down. So I've
- 3:02Speaker 2: been back. I guess right, in a few weeks. I
- 3:05Speaker 2: think it is right you have that opportunity. That's just
- 3:08Speaker 2: a no for you who cares.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I just don't see any benefit to being up there.
- 3:14Speaker 2: You don't think it would be cool to be up there?
- 3:16Speaker 2: See trust me. I have kids, and I'm not doing it.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Like that's too big of a risk. I feel like
- 3:24Speaker 2: I'm good not risking it, not coming back, or me
- 3:28Speaker 2: not making it.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Any chance of me doing something that's supposed to last
- 3:33Speaker 3: last seven days that now lasts upwards of close to
- 3:36Speaker 3: a year, I'm out, you know what I mean. I
- 3:39Speaker 3: have a wife I really care about. I love my
- 3:41Speaker 3: friends and family. I don't need to be in space
- 3:45Speaker 3: until we find some type of space bug or medicine
- 3:50Speaker 3: that's gonna eat tumors and cure cancer. I don't really
- 3:53Speaker 3: get it why we need to be wasting all this
- 3:56Speaker 3: money going to space. You are so passionate about one
- 3:59Speaker 3: two eight zero seven? Can you text me and give
- 4:01Speaker 3: me a call?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Whatever?
- 4:03Speaker 3: What is the point of going to space other than
- 4:07Speaker 3: a handful of people get to brag about it at
- 4:10Speaker 3: the fourth of July.
- 4:11Speaker 2: If I had an answer, I'd tell you I'm also
- 4:13Speaker 2: over here in the dark. Now here's what you need
- 4:20Speaker 2: to know. President Trump claim yesterday the pardon is issued
- 4:23Speaker 2: by former President Biden are invalid because they were signed
- 4:26Speaker 2: using an auto pen. Here's what the White House pre
- 4:29Speaker 2: secretary had to say about it.
- 4:30Speaker 4: But the President was raising the point that did the
- 4:33Speaker 4: president even know about these pardons? Was his legal signature
- 4:38Speaker 4: used without his consent or knowledge.
- 4:41Speaker 2: I didn't know about the autopen got me question in
- 4:44Speaker 2: it you had googled if other people had used it.
- 4:47Speaker 2: I think President Obama used it at one point when
- 4:49Speaker 2: he was overseas to sign something sure back.
- 4:52Speaker 1: In the day.
- 4:53Speaker 2: But they're just thinking maybe he had no idea what
- 4:56Speaker 2: was going on and somebody was using the.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Old auto pen.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Yeah, car Roll in the mail room was just helping
- 5:01Speaker 3: out some dudes apart. Oh god, I did have to
- 5:05Speaker 3: look that up, and I you know, that probably a
- 5:07Speaker 3: super stupid question, but I felt a lot better if
- 5:09Speaker 3: you go to Google at least here maybe the computer's listening.
- 5:12Speaker 3: But if you type in what is the first thing
- 5:16Speaker 3: that showed up on the search was an auto pen?
- 5:18Speaker 1: Everybody wanted to know what was going on there. Yeah.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Meanwhile, President Trump does plan to speak with Putin today
- 5:24Speaker 2: about ending the invasion in Ukraine, and Trump said discussions
- 5:27Speaker 2: would center on land and power plants. Ukraine has agreed
- 5:31Speaker 2: to a thirty day US backseas ceasefire proposal that would
- 5:35Speaker 2: temporarily halt the fighting that has been raging on which
- 5:38Speaker 2: blew my mind. Honestly, they've been fighting and invading Ukraine
- 5:43Speaker 2: for three years.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and you.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Kind of lose track of time, I know, my gosh,
- 5:48Speaker 2: And are we going.
- 5:49Speaker 1: To get a little relief?
- 5:50Speaker 2: Egg prices are starting to drop. Wholesale egg prices have
- 5:54Speaker 2: fallen for the third consecutive week. The national average was
- 5:57Speaker 2: about eight dollars and fifty eight cents at the end
- 5:59Speaker 2: of the FEBUS. Now they're saying the average is four
- 6:02Speaker 2: dollars and eighty three cents. I just went over to
- 6:05Speaker 2: a grocery order just to kind of look old right now,
- 6:07Speaker 2: six fifty nine here Locally, they do say that even
- 6:10Speaker 2: though they're going down, it could take about a week
- 6:12Speaker 2: or so before supermarkets start dropping them.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Eggs are seven dollars right now for a dozen. Wow,
- 6:20Speaker 1: I think we got brown eggs last time. Are those
- 6:23Speaker 1: ones more expensive? Yeah? Usually cage three? Who bought the
- 6:27Speaker 1: eggs last at my house? I was wasting those away
- 6:31Speaker 1: all weekend?
- 6:32Speaker 3: You know?
- 6:33Speaker 1: Are you using them in them? Yeah? Of course.
- 6:35Speaker 3: But I'm saying, I can you lean your body? I
- 6:38Speaker 3: could have went with three instead of five, you know
- 6:40Speaker 3: what I mean?
- 6:41Speaker 1: People are starting to do that.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I told you that one day, I was whipping up
- 6:44Speaker 2: what was it, banana ut muffins for the kids, and
- 6:47Speaker 2: I did two eggs. I'm like, what could be a
- 6:49Speaker 2: little substitute here? And I threw in some Greek yok.
- 6:51Speaker 3: I wonder if we purposefully got the brown ones, or
- 6:54Speaker 3: if we did the pickup order deal and they had
- 6:57Speaker 3: to substitute because they were out of the white ones
- 6:59Speaker 3: because people are stock enough.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Yeah, would not surprise me one bit. All Right, we
- 7:02Speaker 2: could get some flurries kind of rolling through the next
- 7:04Speaker 2: hour and a half. Nothing that's gonna stick around, thankfully.
- 7:06Speaker 2: This Midwest blizzard is gonna stay south of us. Today,
- 7:09Speaker 2: gonna be mostly cloudy and to hi A.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Forty Today's Variety Big ninety eight point.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Seven, it's gonna be cloudy today.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I have about forty March Madness underway today, Amanda, Are
- 7:22Speaker 2: you a big giant March Madness fan?
- 7:25Speaker 1: You know, I'm really not. I'll watch some of the games.
- 7:27Speaker 2: My husband totally gets into it every once in a while.
- 7:31Speaker 2: I'll take a peek this time. Once we get to
- 7:33Speaker 2: the Elite eight, I start investing. And then if there's
- 7:36Speaker 2: a Cinderella story, yeah, you just kind of jump on
- 7:38Speaker 2: and you're like, Okay, this is this is awesome.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I would agree with that. I I love I.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Don't know what you count? Do you count today? Today
- 7:47Speaker 3: is like the initial four play in games. I don't
- 7:50Speaker 3: know if fight.
- 7:51Speaker 2: I feel like everybody kind of goes Thursday for the
- 7:53Speaker 2: official day of March Madness. But yeah, I mean, any
- 7:58Speaker 2: excuse for people to start watching basket ball and you know,
- 8:02Speaker 2: be a little checked out.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I would argue Thursday and Friday are some of
- 8:08Speaker 3: the best days if you're a sports fan of the
- 8:11Speaker 3: entire year. You know, there's the Masters Tournament, the super Bowl,
- 8:14Speaker 3: there's March Madness beginning or the opening couple of days,
- 8:17Speaker 3: because there's just you can literally watch basketball all day
- 8:20Speaker 3: on fifty different channels.
- 8:23Speaker 1: It's awesome. So do you get into it? Do you
- 8:25Speaker 1: put together a bracket?
- 8:27Speaker 3: I do a bracket just about every year, and I'll
- 8:31Speaker 3: do if there's a team I really like or whatever,
- 8:34Speaker 3: I'll fill that out. But I have began over the
- 8:37Speaker 3: past like five six years. I'll just ask Corey which
- 8:39Speaker 3: mascot she likes better, because like, realistically, no way, oh yeah, yeah, realistically,
- 8:45Speaker 3: you know, I don't know anything about Loyola or Marquette basketball.
- 8:50Speaker 3: I'm not watching Clemson basketball on a Tuesday evening, so
- 8:54Speaker 3: I don't really know.
- 8:54Speaker 1: It's all right, I just let.
- 8:56Speaker 3: It writ And these brackets might have a direct issue
- 9:00Speaker 3: with the productivity at work for you. March Madness obviously
- 9:04Speaker 3: begins this week, potential to boost the economy with billions
- 9:08Speaker 3: of dollars. The issue is is a lot of people
- 9:13Speaker 3: claim to be distracted, and I use that quotes distracted
- 9:17Speaker 3: while on the clock. Forty percent of people also admit
- 9:21Speaker 3: to calling in sick to watching big basketball games during
- 9:25Speaker 3: this tournament. The basketball tournament begins obviously tomorrow, and it
- 9:29Speaker 3: runs through April six.
- 9:30Speaker 2: At this point, though, I mean, if you're all in
- 9:32Speaker 2: on something like this, don't you just include this in
- 9:34Speaker 2: your vacation time or you have your meetings out of
- 9:38Speaker 2: the office or whatever it may be.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Working from home today.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Guys, Yeah, that one o'clock lunch beer.
- 9:44Speaker 1: You know why fake it? That's what I'll never have.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Embrace it or what have you.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, well you know what, Amanda, I vow to
- 9:52Speaker 3: not let March madness distract me from six am to
- 9:55Speaker 3: nine am any day until April six. You're lucky, they
- 9:58Speaker 3: don't They started like nine oh one in the morning.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 10:04Speaker 2: All right, we could get a few flurries this morning.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Nothing that's going to stick around. That Midwest blizzard is
- 10:09Speaker 2: staying south of US today, going to be cloudy and
- 10:11Speaker 2: a high a forty.
- 10:13Speaker 1: You ready ready thattsy is piping hot today and now
- 10:18Speaker 1: Amanda fills the sea wook see Ratchy by JD. P. Electrag.
- 10:23Speaker 2: The mystery surrounding the deaths of Gene Hackman and his
- 10:25Speaker 2: wife Betsy continue. Now there is a physician who is
- 10:28Speaker 2: claiming he received a phone call from Betsy on February twelve.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Why is that so alarming?
- 10:34Speaker 2: Well, because everybody said she died on February eleventh, the
- 10:37Speaker 2: medical examiners, that's what they were believing, because I believe
- 10:41Speaker 2: she was on video at a grocery store and then
- 10:45Speaker 2: she had never been heard from again. Well, now this
- 10:47Speaker 2: physician is saying she actually had an appointment for herself
- 10:51Speaker 2: on February twelve. She called ultimately canceled the appointment on
- 10:54Speaker 2: February tenth because her husband was not well. However, she
- 10:57Speaker 2: called the office back the morning of the twelve and
- 11:00Speaker 2: spoke to the doctors and they said, you can come
- 11:02Speaker 2: in this afternoon.
- 11:04Speaker 1: She made the appointment, but she never showed up.
- 11:06Speaker 2: So they're basically just putting in a hole in the
- 11:08Speaker 2: story that it was the day before that she had
- 11:11Speaker 2: passed and it was within twenty four hours. I don't
- 11:14Speaker 2: know how to say this without feeling insensitive. I understand
- 11:17Speaker 2: that they were dead for quite some time, which is horrifying.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Does that matter, I mean, there was just a few hours.
- 11:23Speaker 2: I just feel like.
- 11:24Speaker 3: We're now Can are those time of death things? Is
- 11:29Speaker 3: it like an exact down to the minute. I thought
- 11:32Speaker 3: there was like a window of hours of time. Well,
- 11:35Speaker 3: if it's like a six hour window, if it's.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Not suspicious, if we're not doing a dateline case, thinking
- 11:41Speaker 2: somebody came into their home broken.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Well and with the kids on the will yet is
- 11:46Speaker 3: what I'm discovering. Maybe these kids are absolute dirt bags.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Maybe the kids are scummy.
- 11:52Speaker 2: No, gosh, don't even put that in the atmosphere. I
- 11:54Speaker 2: feel like it was just a tragic story.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I mean all the way around, and oh yeah, yeah,
- 12:02Speaker 1: this I feel that.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Feel bad for Kim Kardashian, and I think a lot
- 12:08Speaker 2: of people do at this point, because how do you
- 12:11Speaker 2: control what's going on with Kanye.
- 12:13Speaker 1: You can't, You simply cannot.
- 12:14Speaker 2: She's debating taking legal action to strip Kanye of joint
- 12:17Speaker 2: legal custody. She wants them to have a relationship with
- 12:20Speaker 2: the kids and wants them to be able to have that,
- 12:24Speaker 2: but doesn't want it to come along with all the
- 12:27Speaker 2: other stuff that's going on. If you missed it, we
- 12:28Speaker 2: played the audio for you. Yesterday. He released a song
- 12:32Speaker 2: with Diddy and his daughter Northwest, and Kim Kardashian had
- 12:36Speaker 2: said absolutely not. She had sent him a some sort
- 12:40Speaker 2: of agreement or document saying you cannot do this, and
- 12:42Speaker 2: he just ignored it and went on anyway doing it right.
- 12:46Speaker 1: That alone is just frustrating.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Well, then he's still on social media, just making wild comments.
- 12:52Speaker 2: He's now saying he's putting together a choir to cover
- 12:55Speaker 2: one of his songs. He's looking for volunteers. They must
- 12:57Speaker 2: be males. They must have the skin complexion of day
- 13:00Speaker 2: or darker. They also must shave their head, no fat people,
- 13:03Speaker 2: and must be comfortable to wear swastikas. At this point,
- 13:07Speaker 2: we just got we gotta be done. And why can't
- 13:09Speaker 2: they take down his social media? I feel like they
- 13:12Speaker 2: did X right or did he delete it? I can't
- 13:15Speaker 2: keep up.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I can't remember.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if Elon stepped in put an
- 13:18Speaker 3: end to that, or if he did it himself.
- 13:20Speaker 1: That's a good question. I don't know. I feel I guess.
- 13:22Speaker 3: I never thought I would say this in my life,
- 13:24Speaker 3: but I do genuinely feel bad for Kim trying to
- 13:28Speaker 3: navigate that as a.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Mom with h and kids that are old enough to
- 13:32Speaker 2: know exactly what's going on. And I hate to say
- 13:35Speaker 2: that Northwest is upon in this a little bit, but
- 13:37Speaker 2: she she loves her dad, she wants to be an artist,
- 13:40Speaker 2: so she's been making music with him right at the
- 13:43Speaker 2: same time, what he's doing is so inappropriate.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I can't Oh. I do not envy that situation. No,
- 13:49Speaker 1: not a little, not even a little bit. Welcome this morning,
- 13:53Speaker 1: and one of.
- 13:53Speaker 2: The first headlines I saw was Swifties are losing their
- 13:56Speaker 2: minds because of last night's iHeart Music Awards appearance and
- 14:00Speaker 2: what was going on, And right away, right away, my
- 14:03Speaker 2: heart went too.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Did they get engaged? Did they see an engagement ring?
- 14:07Speaker 1: Not the case.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Taylor did appear on video accepting an award, but she
- 14:11Speaker 2: wore a snake choker around her neck, leading people to
- 14:14Speaker 2: believe that reputation Taylor's version is finally coming soon. Even
- 14:19Speaker 2: flavor Flave jumped in the comments, saying this necklace though,
- 14:21Speaker 2: if you know, you know, we'll see.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Oh that's all it is is about the album.
- 14:26Speaker 3: I was wondering if it was like some kind of tate,
- 14:29Speaker 3: like spicyiness or something.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I will be the first to admit I'm not up
- 14:35Speaker 1: to date. Snake tailor.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Girl, what a freakly Coly smokes Today's.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 14:51Speaker 2: All right, it'd be mostly cloudie today and a high
- 14:54Speaker 2: a forty Gabe.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Question for you. Do you do laundry at home?
- 14:58Speaker 2: Ah?
- 14:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been.
- 15:00Speaker 3: I've been doing to throw a load or two in
- 15:02Speaker 3: the washer or dryer. Yeah, good boy. No, I'm just kidding.
- 15:05Speaker 1: So I also folded after do you really want a guy? Yeah?
- 15:09Speaker 1: But do you put it away?
- 15:11Speaker 3: I'll tell you. I'll be honest. I don't even fold
- 15:13Speaker 3: it either. We hang up our clothes, so it's not folding.
- 15:16Speaker 3: It's laying out flat, is what It's really cold.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Well, there is a girl who has gone viral on TikTok,
- 15:22Speaker 2: and I gotta know when you do the laundry. How
- 15:25Speaker 2: do you go about? What is your process? After you
- 15:27Speaker 2: put the clothes in?
- 15:28Speaker 1: Then what close in?
- 15:31Speaker 3: So my step by step close in, I grab the soap,
- 15:35Speaker 3: I fill the little cup halfway or whatever the lote
- 15:39Speaker 3: wherever the line is with soap, and then I just
- 15:42Speaker 3: chuck the cap thing with the soap in it in
- 15:45Speaker 3: the washing machine and I start it. My mom started
- 15:48Speaker 3: or my mom was doing that when I was a kid,
- 15:50Speaker 3: So I just kind of have continued on the tradition.
- 15:53Speaker 3: For real, you put the cup in there, I would
- 15:55Speaker 3: say most of the time, I'm sure. Sometimes I just
- 15:58Speaker 3: swill it around in Do you have a toploader? Uh?
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yeah, okay.
- 16:03Speaker 2: So this is super interesting because this woman has gone
- 16:06Speaker 2: viral because she called her boyfriend out for doing exactly
- 16:10Speaker 2: what you do, throwing the cap and she said, and
- 16:14Speaker 2: I quote, what is he doing? This is insane behavior,
- 16:19Speaker 2: Like there is nobody who does that, is what she's saying.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Oh wow, I do that, And so many people on
- 16:24Speaker 2: the internet are doing the exact same thing. I had
- 16:27Speaker 2: never heard about putting the cup in. Well, there is
- 16:30Speaker 2: your liquid laundry detergent.
- 16:32Speaker 3: There is a reason I do that, though, when you
- 16:35Speaker 3: fill it with soap and then you you know, drop
- 16:38Speaker 3: it in there or spin it around because I try
- 16:40Speaker 3: to get rolling around in there. The cap still has
- 16:43Speaker 3: soap residue on it, so in my brain, when I
- 16:46Speaker 3: toss it in there, the cap kind of also gets
- 16:48Speaker 3: washed as well, So if you've got soap crust when
- 16:51Speaker 3: I'm putting it back.
- 16:52Speaker 2: So when you have the top load, then you I
- 16:55Speaker 2: would always used to rinse it with the water that
- 16:59Speaker 2: was coming out of there, and then then I would.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Put the lid back on. That's very smart.
- 17:04Speaker 2: This is some wild laundry detergent talk, I gotta tell you,
- 17:07Speaker 2: because we had brought this up probably two years ago.
- 17:10Speaker 2: We have it's there's so much going on with these
- 17:14Speaker 2: new washing machines. We have the front loader, yep, but
- 17:19Speaker 2: then you have the cup thing in the top.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Well, I was putting the two little laundry pods because
- 17:25Speaker 2: I've graduated from the soap, the liquid soap to the pods.
- 17:30Speaker 2: So I was putting the pods in the top.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Well, then I would open it and sometimes they like
- 17:35Speaker 2: would dissolve, like wouldn't dissolve. So then I found out
- 17:38Speaker 2: I was putting them in the wrong little spot up there.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Because one said liquid only. So then I just started
- 17:43Speaker 2: flailing the two pods in with the laundry, and people
- 17:47Speaker 2: called me out saying that was insane behavior.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Really, So now I've gone back to putting.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Them in the top where it says liquid only.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Okay, And my husband is just so stressed about it all.
- 17:58Speaker 2: He's like, I'm just not doing it, Like he's refusing,
- 18:01Speaker 2: probably for all the reasons, but what is the right way?
- 18:05Speaker 2: Like it makes me want to go back to getting
- 18:07Speaker 2: liquid detergent because it says liquid.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Detergent right there. Yeah, there's nowhere for the pod.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Yeah, you're taking a lot less risk I think with
- 18:15Speaker 3: the liquid detergent. I did not realize throwing the cap
- 18:18Speaker 3: in there though, made me a psychotic person.
- 18:21Speaker 1: According to this woman.
- 18:22Speaker 2: The best comment of this is somebody said, girl, I
- 18:25Speaker 2: never want to take a man's side when it comes
- 18:28Speaker 2: to the laundry, but you're wrong.
- 18:29Speaker 1: So people are doing that. I had never heard that either.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I love that this is what you're doing. Man, Andre,
- 18:35Speaker 1: Who knew we could all be so decisive? A rare
- 18:38Speaker 1: w for your boy? Here on wait to go Today's Variety,
- 18:44Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 18:45Speaker 2: All right, some flurries may be rolling through the area
- 18:47Speaker 2: this aftern or this morning, this afternoon, going to be
- 18:49Speaker 2: cloudy in a high a forty.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Do you remember when employees or do you remember the
- 18:54Speaker 3: days when employees would push for like casual days, like, oh, Friday,
- 18:58Speaker 3: we should wear jeans to work.
- 19:00Speaker 1: A lot of businesses still do that, Yeah, casual Friday.
- 19:02Speaker 3: A yes, well that was pre pandemic, pre remote working.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Now it turns out that jeans might just not be
- 19:09Speaker 3: casual enough. I have seen it all at this point.
- 19:13Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 19:14Speaker 2: Have you heard of sweatpant jeans? Ooh, you have my
- 19:19Speaker 2: full attention. I'm trying to decide. I mean, we're kind
- 19:21Speaker 2: of in like a would they be.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Like a jogger but denim?
- 19:27Speaker 3: Do you know what's kind of insane? They look like
- 19:31Speaker 3: whatever kind of gene you want and are one hundred
- 19:34Speaker 3: percent sweatpant. They have jogger, they have high waisted, they
- 19:39Speaker 3: have flair, they have bell bottom, they have skinny see.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I'm here for this.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Remember you might not remember this, but back in the
- 19:46Speaker 2: day when people were wearing jaggings, when everybody was in
- 19:50Speaker 2: the leggings craze jagging, so they'd be jean leggings, so
- 19:53Speaker 2: they kind of were like a mock a denim.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Yeah, be able to rock.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Them with boots. I loved that. Now I'm super intrigued
- 20:01Speaker 2: by these. This is something I can get behind. It
- 20:04Speaker 2: was the other day you were telling me about the
- 20:05Speaker 2: plumbers crack What did I call them? Yeah, there's what
- 20:08Speaker 2: I call booty crack jeans.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Yeah, the booty crack jean or booty cleavage gen Yeah's
- 20:12Speaker 3: what I can call us. And there's also the one
- 20:14Speaker 3: legged pants are getting very popular now, and I just
- 20:17Speaker 3: want to make sure you're up on the trends, Amanda.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I want to make sure you're still following along here.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I appreciate this because sweatpant jeans I had not heard of,
- 20:24Speaker 2: and I am all for them.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Talking about just getting.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Into a position where I, I mean I could wear
- 20:32Speaker 2: athletic at leisure wear twenty four to seven.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Sure, well I do have.
- 20:38Speaker 3: There's like a little tech talk posted on the Big
- 20:40Speaker 3: ninety eight point seven facebook page. You can see some
- 20:43Speaker 3: of these sweatpant jeans for yourself. I just feel like
- 20:47Speaker 3: we are trying to make too many people happy all
- 20:51Speaker 3: at once. You know that old saying you try to
- 20:53Speaker 3: please everyone? You end up pleasing no one. You're trying
- 20:56Speaker 3: to make jeens sweatpants a thing. Just wear the gene.
- 21:00Speaker 2: But if it's making everybody comfortable, If I knew that,
- 21:02Speaker 2: I could just be comfortable. If I was sitting at
- 21:04Speaker 2: work all day and in said it had to unbutton
- 21:06Speaker 2: the top button because I had a big lunch, if
- 21:10Speaker 2: I just knew I could be in sweatpans, loosen up
- 21:12Speaker 2: one of the ties elastic.
- 21:15Speaker 1: All day for this girl.
- 21:16Speaker 3: I mean, Amanda, we're not the best type of workers
- 21:20Speaker 3: to really have this conversation.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Yeah, ain't nobody's seeing us.
- 21:23Speaker 3: No one sees a thing we wear. I think I've
- 21:26Speaker 3: had a hoodie on for five days straight.
- 21:29Speaker 1: If you talk like that, nobody will know. Today's variety
- 21:35Speaker 1: big ninety eight point seven. Maybe some flurries this morning.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Otherwise it is gonna be most in cloudy today and
- 21:39Speaker 2: a high a forty.
- 21:42Speaker 1: We're gonna take a little trip down yesteryear, Amanda.
- 21:45Speaker 3: And when I first saw this, I was like, oh,
- 21:48Speaker 3: this will be kind of interesting, and then it kind
- 21:51Speaker 3: of made me sad.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Halfway through here.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I don't know, you need a tissue button kind of
- 21:55Speaker 2: a little bit.
- 21:56Speaker 1: This is sad. What is going on.
- 21:59Speaker 3: What are some things that were around ten years ago
- 22:02Speaker 3: that are now becoming basically extinct?
- 22:04Speaker 1: And I'm not We're going only ten years ago.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Yeah, And I am not talking about the things you
- 22:09Speaker 3: think I'm talking about. I'm not talking about a fashion
- 22:12Speaker 3: trend or I'm not talking about a toy that was
- 22:15Speaker 3: popular or whatever. Some of these that I found, it's
- 22:17Speaker 3: like you kind of raise your eyebrow and you're like, oh.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Yikes, like what happened? Okay A right?
- 22:24Speaker 3: For example, things that were around every day ten years
- 22:27Speaker 3: ago and now kind of sort of extinct. Perfect example,
- 22:32Speaker 3: toys in cereal boxes. That was one that made sense.
- 22:35Speaker 3: It's like, oh, yeah, that was interesting, blah blah blah.
- 22:38Speaker 3: And then I hear something like this small independent hardware
- 22:43Speaker 3: stores and or like mid career jobs kind of extinct.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Now.
- 22:48Speaker 2: See, I love that we live in the Midwest. That
- 22:51Speaker 2: is always going to be a thing. Yeah, that's just
- 22:53Speaker 2: being like a small town laker.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 22:55Speaker 2: There's nothing better than the mom and pop yes hardware
- 22:59Speaker 2: stores of that.
- 23:00Speaker 1: So I'm gonna say on that one.
- 23:03Speaker 3: So this was also one of the answers that appeared
- 23:05Speaker 3: on this internet thing was ownership it's all about subscriptions now,
- 23:12Speaker 3: and I don't exactly feel like I understand that completely,
- 23:15Speaker 3: but for some reason it feels like it makes sense.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Well, you have to subscribe to all of the things everything.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Yeah, what about what about twenty four hour businesses? Not
- 23:27Speaker 3: very common, not nearly as common as they used to be,
- 23:30Speaker 3: is what I'm getting there.
- 23:31Speaker 2: I mean, do you remember gym memberships that was like
- 23:33Speaker 2: the oh my gosh, I get to go for twenty
- 23:35Speaker 2: four hours, which God bless you if you're going in
- 23:37Speaker 2: the middle of the night.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Obviously, career differences and things like that.
- 23:40Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean Walmart used to be twenty four
- 23:45Speaker 2: to seven.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Are they I don't know. I think they're doing at
- 23:47Speaker 1: like eleven now. There are a lot of grocery stores
- 23:51Speaker 1: used to be Yeah, yep, even I mean, let's.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Go the fourth meal for a lot of places right
- 23:57Speaker 2: post COVID, A lot of bars are not. But fast
- 24:01Speaker 2: food restaurants used to be open till easily two three am.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Now you're lucky if if they're open when your kids
- 24:07Speaker 2: are done with sports at nine or ten.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Yeah, and what's even create this was only ten years
- 24:12Speaker 3: a decade, only a decade. I have a couple more
- 24:15Speaker 3: for you, and these I think one hundred percent everyone
- 24:19Speaker 3: feels and probably sees the effects of this every day
- 24:23Speaker 3: attention spans absolutely have narrowed down and dwindled down to nothing.
- 24:30Speaker 3: I am one hundred percent guilty of this.
- 24:33Speaker 2: We felt this, I think in our generation when Netflix
- 24:36Speaker 2: was around, sure that was you know, when it first
- 24:39Speaker 2: came out, it was like, oh my gosh, we don't
- 24:40Speaker 2: have to have commercials.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Well now with our kids using.
- 24:44Speaker 2: If they're like watching YouTube kids or they have anything
- 24:47Speaker 2: watching my kids, try to get through something like just
- 24:49Speaker 2: fast forward it. Oh my gosh, right, urge, I don't
- 24:53Speaker 2: need to see this, right, it's increased tremendously, right.
- 24:57Speaker 3: And then the last two both kind of involved your
- 25:00Speaker 3: phone once again, but real customer service REPS in takes
- 25:05Speaker 3: ten minutes to get through the automated whatever just to
- 25:09Speaker 3: be able to finally talk to Nancy in accounting to
- 25:12Speaker 3: try to get your problem resolved.
- 25:14Speaker 2: And even then, you know what I've noticed, and I'm
- 25:16Speaker 2: actually okay with this because it you don't have to
- 25:20Speaker 2: then wait on hold. There is a service that we
- 25:23Speaker 2: had issues with at our home, and you go to
- 25:25Speaker 2: contact us, go to their website, and you automatically shoot
- 25:29Speaker 2: them a text, so you're chatting with them, so you're
- 25:31Speaker 2: texting back and forth. I actually find that to be
- 25:34Speaker 2: fantastic really versus sitting on the phone waiting for somebody. Yeah,
- 25:38Speaker 2: because the prompts, all of that gets lost in translation,
- 25:41Speaker 2: and I just feel like it's better communication.
- 25:44Speaker 3: And the prompts do never actually have like they are
- 25:48Speaker 3: an umbrella of your question, but they're not your question, and.
- 25:53Speaker 2: They got away from Remember when you used to just
- 25:55Speaker 2: be able to hit zeros.
- 25:56Speaker 1: That was like the trip zero was like, let me
- 25:59Speaker 1: talk to somebody, and then the last one.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Speaking of the phone, answering phone calls. Now that I
- 26:06Speaker 3: have hundred friends that I see no point never calling
- 26:10Speaker 3: them again, I'll just text them because they won't answer.
- 26:12Speaker 1: No.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Now I have tons of friends who will answer all
- 26:15Speaker 3: the time, But I have friends that I have no
- 26:19Speaker 3: idea why they have a phone.
- 26:20Speaker 1: They should just have a text device.
- 26:22Speaker 2: I love talking on the phone, Like if I get
- 26:26Speaker 2: a miss call from everyone, I'm like, oh my gosh.
- 26:28Speaker 2: The worst though is then you call him back instantly
- 26:30Speaker 2: and they don't answer, like, oh, I'm sorry to inconvenience
- 26:33Speaker 2: you by thirty second.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Your phone somehow went from hand to pocket and doesn't
- 26:38Speaker 3: work anymore.
- 26:39Speaker 4: R
