- 0:14Tales to should you leave Washington State and all kinds
- 0:19of stuff about woke pastors. And it is a good time today.
- 0:23So you don't want to miss out on any segment TuneIn all the way
- 0:26to the end. There's some great things in
- 0:28show for you today. Well, thank you, Pastor Josh,
- 0:51for joining us for the Mark Driscoll Show.
- 0:52This is going to be fun. We're up in Washington, so
- 0:54we're. In your office, man.
- 0:55Let's go. Yeah.
- 0:56So you want to you guys want to explain your relationship a
- 0:58little bit and how how you guys met and why you guys talk so
- 1:02much? We do talk a lot.
- 1:04We I met AI, met Mark at a baseball game.
- 1:06He sent me an e-mail through the city, the city piece.
- 1:09Of technology way back. Yeah.
- 1:11Back in like, I don't know, the the 90s.
- 1:14So I, I had a baseball tournament for my son Zach over
- 1:18here in Eastern Washington. And I heard there was a young
- 1:20church planner who was doing a good job.
- 1:23And I was like, what the heck? I'm sitting at the baseball
- 1:25field for a couple of days. If you want to come hang out and
- 1:27ask questions, come hang out. I think I was running 6000.
- 1:30You were running like 100. Yeah, 150, they were 150 and.
- 1:35You he showed up. That's a big difference.
- 1:37Yeah, they don't don't not she showed up with his.
- 1:39Daughter Ella Mae, who's turned out to be one of my most
- 1:42favorite people, I just had breakfast, breakfast for this
- 1:45morning, got a couple hours with her.
- 1:47And so once he brought Ella Mae, I was like.
- 1:50Secret weapon, yeah. Josh is fine.
- 1:52Ella's awesome. Plus one is a real.
- 1:54One, yeah, I'm not an idiot. Yeah.
- 1:57Yeah. So we, I remember getting the
- 1:59baseball game and Mark was like, bring all your questions.
- 2:01And I I remember what struck me about it was at the time, it's
- 2:04like, you know, blowing up, traveling nationally, all the
- 2:07things. It's like, you know, back then
- 2:11he was a big deal, you know, oh, we're going here and now it's
- 2:17just your grandpa. Yeah, no, it's just Uncle Mark.
- 2:20FaceTime with two grandkids in the last 12 hours.
- 2:22I'm living my life. Grandpa Driscoll.
- 2:24And so it, what struck me is like, my gosh, this guy's
- 2:27rocking and rolling. He's he's a big ticket item and
- 2:30he's going to meet with a church planner in a small town who's
- 2:32running 150 and he's like, bring your questions.
- 2:34So I brought, I brought my questions and I brought my
- 2:36secret weapon LMA. And we talked all day.
- 2:39And he like he did more mythological work in that
- 2:42afternoon that I'd done in like the, the three years of our
- 2:44church plant and told me what to think about what to consider,
- 2:47how to identify strongholds, how to build a leadership team.
- 2:50It was awesome. What's the biggest?
- 2:52Like lesson you learned out of that conversation?
- 2:55Be available for young guys. That's cool.
- 2:59So yeah. What he modelled.
- 3:00Yeah, I wasn't even anything he told me specifically.
- 3:02It was like somebody who appeared big time, made time for
- 3:05somebody who wasn't big time. And that was a big deal for me.
- 3:09And it spoke a lot to his heart, his humility.
- 3:11He wasn't just looking for guys that could advance his his
- 3:14thing. He genuinely wanted.
- 3:16You genuinely want to serve pastors, men, husbands,
- 3:20families. And then we went to dinner that
- 3:23night at Los Camparos and he bought the place out of dessert.
- 3:25We were trying to figure out for.
- 3:26Dinner she's like, I don't know, it all looks good so we got.
- 3:29It one of everything. Yeah.
- 3:31You haven't changed at all. Yeah, nothing changed.
- 3:34And they brought out like crates of desserts and it was it was
- 3:37like, my gosh. And.
- 3:38And I think the other thing I learned was just the the the
- 3:40importance of of celebrating and not cutting any corners.
- 3:46And it goes to spoiling kids. And I always tell the story.
- 3:48We went down to my truck and you were, and it's like 10:30 at
- 3:51night in Leavenworth. Have you been to Leavenworth?
- 3:522000 people, small town. They shut down at 6:00.
- 3:57And it's 1030 and we're in the middle of the town.
- 3:58No, no cars there. And he, he goes, is it like a
- 4:01Toys R Us Open around here? I'm like, no, there's not a
- 4:04Toys-R-Us opener. And it's like, well, give me a
- 4:06minute. And he walks to an ATM, comes
- 4:08back and he hands each of my kids $100 bill.
- 4:10And he says, do not let your dad take this and give it to the
- 4:12church or do some stupid Jesus. Do you think like that this is
- 4:17for you to buy toys for yourself because all kids are special,
- 4:20but pastors kids are very special.
- 4:23And it was Uncle Mark from then on out.
- 4:25And, and the lesson I learned was like, my gosh, take time to
- 4:28invest in young leaders, make sure their kids feel loved and
- 4:30treasured, and you might just end up with a lifelong friend.
- 4:33Yeah, when they were over here. And so they started inviting us
- 4:38over for vacations. And so like, hey, we got we, you
- 4:41know, we got our family and they're like, hey, some friends
- 4:44of ours are going to be gone for a week.
- 4:45They got a house on the lake or the river.
- 4:47They got a boat. And I'm like, well, that sounds
- 4:49fantastic. So we started hanging out over
- 4:50here and then attending Grace City.
- 4:52It became home away from home for us and our kids.
- 4:54Started referring to Josh's uncle Josh in Saint Sharon St.
- 4:58Sharon. And so, yeah, just been a long
- 5:01friendship. I was talking to LMA this
- 5:02morning. Probably about 15 years.
- 5:04Yeah, it's it. It feels longer than that.
- 5:07Yeah. Dog years, Yeah, pastures,
- 5:11living dog years. But yeah, we, we were just
- 5:12looking through pictures. We got tons of pictures of our
- 5:14kids on your knee on a boat, driving the boat.
- 5:17Uncle Mark let them drive the boat.
- 5:18And so it's been a. Well, and you guys staying with
- 5:20us, so they have two kids with spina bifida.
- 5:22So then there were times they're like, we're coming over the
- 5:25mountains. We got an emergency surgery.
- 5:27We got to go to children's hospitals like well, then stay
- 5:29with us. So they would move in and stay
- 5:31with us and we didn't know how long, like sometimes a sometimes
- 5:34a month at a time. It was, it was 31 days at one
- 5:37point and it and it and it was kind.
- 5:39Of like it was Christmas it was. Oh wow, you're.
- 5:42Really going to be best friends or never speak to each other
- 5:44again. And it's like, come on in.
- 5:45Thankfully it worked out to be best friends.
- 5:47But I mean that's I I've shared often, but it's like he was
- 5:49like, hey, you need the Jeep, you got you got the Jeep.
- 5:51You need food, you need a car, you need transportation.
- 5:54You rented a house for us for four months on the hill there at
- 5:58Children's Hospital, was getting in a month with you like 4
- 6:01months. If I rent this guy a house, he
- 6:03won't be. With me, well, four months at
- 6:05that point. We're Mormons doing polygamy,
- 6:07you know, So there is a, there is a 31 day expiration date, you
- 6:12know. Yeah. 30 days it's Christian. 31
- 6:15days, yeah, it's Mormon. It's super gay.
- 6:17Yeah, super gay, but I. Remember that as a church
- 6:20planner, like you don't, you don't have margin.
- 6:22You don't have money. Yeah.
- 6:23And so if you have a medical emergency or something, you
- 6:25don't have money to go rent another house for four months
- 6:27and rent a car for four months. I mean, you don't have.
- 6:30That no. So it was incredible.
- 6:32And and, and yeah, lots of lessons I take away.
- 6:34We could talk about a ton of them, but one of them is just
- 6:36generosity. You know, it's like build an
- 6:38organization of strength. So you're in a position of
- 6:41strength to bless those who aren't yet.
- 6:44And of course, Mark and Grace are ridiculously generous with
- 6:47cars, dogs, food, homes, money, resources.
- 6:51So those are sweet days. They were hard days, but the
- 6:54friendship made it easier. When Sharon had a heart attack,
- 6:57they sat door to the mountains, the box full of toys for our
- 7:00kids, and took our kids out. Sure, and I could have a date.
- 7:02Bought an Xbox and showed up with the kids to distract them
- 7:05so you guys could go process what?
- 7:06They yeah, I'll show up with like Bible, you know, versus no,
- 7:10it's Xbox, our kids first video game.
- 7:12See, the thing that everyone gets wrong is Jesus was so fun
- 7:14that the kids ran to him. Yeah, so Pastor Mark is fun and
- 7:17kids run to it. Totally.
- 7:19Not a Bible thumber where kids. Run away.
- 7:20No, I remember him saying one time you represent the Kingdom,
- 7:25so when kids come and see you, you're the Kingdom man.
- 7:27The Kingdom man should be the funnest man in the room.
- 7:29And the most generous? And the most generous?
- 7:31Yep. So that was a big lesson I
- 7:32learned from Pastor Mark. Yeah.
- 7:34That's good. And then their family, what I
- 7:36learned from them is your dad and mom are awesome.
- 7:39They've been doing ministry and marriage and family ministry for
- 7:42their entire life. And so you and your brother are
- 7:45next generation and then your kids and then your, your, your
- 7:49brother's kids are, are next generation.
- 7:51So there's three generations of family doing really healthy
- 7:54ministry. You guys love each other, you
- 7:55get along well, they're differentiated, but the
- 7:58relationships are really healthy.
- 7:59And so it was a great glimpse into a multi generational,
- 8:03really healthy family system. Yeah, well, it's fun.
- 8:05As we've talked about a lot, you're you're 10, almost exactly
- 8:0810 years older than me. So almost like a like an older
- 8:10brother. So not a father figure like
- 8:13older brother and spiritual father, but in age older
- 8:17brother. And so you're out.
- 8:18You you've always just been around the corner from me in the
- 8:21season of life. I don't have an older brother.
- 8:23I'm the oldest. And so it's been fun.
- 8:25I get pictures of of every season of life that you're in
- 8:28and it's always followed up with this is what you're.
- 8:30Here's what's coming. Here's.
- 8:31What's coming, look forward to it.
- 8:32This is all it's going to be awesome.
- 8:33And you know, when you guys, you and Ashley got married, it's
- 8:36pictures of that process and going through the courtship
- 8:38process and the marriage process were there for the wedding and
- 8:41now my sons got married and now you're you guys have grandkids.
- 8:45I like 5 or 6 more coming. 5 little girl be here any day.
- 8:49Yeah, Sadie's on the way. Can't wait to meet.
- 8:51Her so number six every week I get 15 pictures and here's your
- 8:54future. And so it's been fun to have an
- 8:55older brother around the corner going here's what's coming.
- 8:57It's awesome. Keep your eye on the ball.
- 8:59Ministry comes and goes, family stays my family, what my family
- 9:02offered was because of generationally, we were a season
- 9:05ahead of where Mark's at 1st, 1st generation Christian.
- 9:08Obviously your parents have come to faith in Christ now, but
- 9:10didn't start that way. And so this is what my Mark is
- 9:14what I'm going to be in 10 years.
- 9:15My dad is what Mark wants to be in in in 20 years.
- 9:18So it's kind of fun how their families have layered together
- 9:20that way. And Sharon said last night,
- 9:22sacred assembly, she said, because we, we, for those
- 9:24watching Pastor Mark here, preached our sacred assembly
- 9:26last night and we have like worship and prayer afterwards
- 9:30and like the line to mom and dad's always like stacked and
- 9:33Mark. Everybody wants his parents to
- 9:35pray for. Yeah, whatever they got, it
- 9:37would just if I get a little that on me, that'd be great.
- 9:40And Sharon said Mark was like kept waiting to like, I want, I
- 9:43want Greg came to pray for us. Well, Grace wanted.
- 9:45She's like, we we need him to pray for us.
- 9:47I was like, babe, at some point I got to go eat dinner.
- 9:49Yeah. It was like 930.
- 9:51I'm like, we're we're never going to get prayed for.
- 9:53Yeah. But I so they they didn't get
- 9:54the the Greg blessing. But I'll tell Dad to say
- 9:57something nice to you about to the Lord.
- 9:59That's. Great.
- 10:01Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Laura be with Mark today.
- 10:03It'd be great. Now mom and dad love Martin
- 10:05Grayson. What was interesting, my dad
- 10:07heard first, first heard you preach at a Gospel Coalition
- 10:11event in like Chicago 1000 years ago.
- 10:14And you did your nations and state talk and then talked about
- 10:20Reformed in theology, evangelical and mission and is
- 10:24it confident in relationships or spirit and something?
- 10:27Yeah, although those categories that you kind of gave all of his
- 10:31handles for? Some states need a nuke now.
- 10:33You've seen that? Yeah.
- 10:34Yeah. Some states need to go away.
- 10:36Yeah. But for my dad, who's been a
- 10:38spirit and word guy, he'd never heard of someone who's so
- 10:42distinctly word based be so spirit filled and some for my
- 10:46dad, I was like, oh, I like that guy.
- 10:47And that was 15 years ago. 20 years ago maybe.
- 10:50And so there's been a law, a lot of love and gratefulness for
- 10:53Mcpherson's. The dress calls for a long time
- 10:55now, Yeah. Very cool.
- 10:56And one of the things you guys both have as a huge priority at
- 11:00your local churches, both you have online ministries, but a
- 11:03local church and the heart at both is the men's ministry.
- 11:07So and maybe talk about why you guys see men's ministry at
- 11:11church is so important and so important for the senior pastor
- 11:14be involved in. Well, I mean, you're, you're,
- 11:17you're the king of it. I could jump in.
- 11:18I mean, I learned from Pastor Mark 1520 years ago, you win the
- 11:20men, you win the families, you win the families, you win the
- 11:23city when the city win the state.
- 11:24So it starts with a minute, keys up the men.
- 11:26All the stats we all know about I mean, so my like most viewed
- 11:29clips are when I say simple things like if the man comes to
- 11:33church, 90% of time the wife and the kids get saved.
- 11:36The wife come 20% of time people like are you kidding me?
- 11:39I mean if you win the man, you win everything totally.
- 11:41The money, the businesses, the influence, the family, the wife
- 11:45if you don't get to men. I think my conviction has grown
- 11:48over 20 years of ministry. See what happens when you don't
- 11:50get them in if you don't want to, or you.
- 11:52Only get the soft men, the weak men, the the soft woke.
- 11:56Are we calling them men? Well, men adjacent.
- 12:01Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
- 12:05It's like Moses with the promised land.
- 12:07I'm I'm not into manhood but I can see it from here.
- 12:12Yeah. Attract.
- 12:14I've heard of it, it looks nice, going to die before I get there.
- 12:18Smells like barbecue and bourbon, but I'm not sure
- 12:21because I've never smelled those things.
- 12:22Good chance. I'll be in the grave before I
- 12:24get there, but in ministry you you see what happens if you
- 12:28don't win them in. You get to go find 10 other men
- 12:32to take their place because when one man doesn't do his job, it's
- 12:35remarkable how much work it takes to replace him as a
- 12:39husband, as a father. Government.
- 12:41The community in the. The number of government
- 12:43agencies that need to come into existence to replace one father
- 12:47is. It's staggering.
- 12:48But then there's nobody to tax to pay for that work.
- 12:51Yeah, because that guy isn't generating rubber.
- 12:53That's right. Yeah.
- 12:54So it it's it's for me, the silver bullet.
- 12:56And that doesn't mean we're devaluing or not talking about
- 12:58women too. But like, for me, my calling is
- 13:01to is to step toward the men, to call them to be men.
- 13:04And then if I can do that successfully, it actually
- 13:06changes the focus of my job. Because rather than the focus of
- 13:09my time being doing their job, I get to help equip all of them to
- 13:13do theirs, which I think is what the Bible tells us to do.
- 13:15Were to equip others to do their job, not do their job for them.
- 13:18And pastors get into error a lot.
- 13:20Let's get a youth ministry to help raise the kids.
- 13:22No, but your job is not to raise a kid.
- 13:25Your job is to quit the parents to decide with their kids and
- 13:28then come alongside them as a community of faith to provide a
- 13:30place where their kids can incubate and be discipled and
- 13:33saturated in an environment that's God centered.
- 13:35That's very different than youth group to raise the kids.
- 13:38So my mindset's always been, how do I work within the
- 13:41jurisdictions that God has established in humanity in terms
- 13:44of individual, family, church, government?
- 13:46And then what are the roles that God's given men and women in
- 13:48those jurisdictions, and how can I equip them to fulfill their
- 13:52duty in those jurisdictions and responsibilities?
- 13:55And that's when we begin realigning with the Kingdom of
- 13:58God and see truth, goodness and beauty come together in our
- 14:00communities, I believe. Yeah, and part of it too, is the
- 14:05church historically, since the world wars has been led by and
- 14:11custom architected for women. I mean, it's a it's a historical
- 14:14problem. I mean, if you, if you read the
- 14:17New Testament, like there's men like Paul, you're looking at
- 14:20strong men, very strong men. You look at the record of the
- 14:23early church, you're looking at incredibly strong, resilient men
- 14:27who overcame hardship. When you look at reformers and,
- 14:30and, and those in the Protestant tradition, you know, guys like
- 14:33John Knox, I mean, he could wield A2 handed sword with one
- 14:37sword. So you'd have a one handed sword
- 14:40and A2 handed sword was so big you dude could wield it with one
- 14:44hand. I mean, so he's a dude.
- 14:47He would pound the pulpit and literally fragments of it would
- 14:50go flying into the audience. I mean, he was not man.
- 14:53Yeah, he's that he's like WWE, you know, he's off the top
- 14:57turnbuckle kind of guy. And so so you go from that to in
- 15:01the in the world wars, the the, the majority of young, strong
- 15:05alphas went to war. So now the church is filled with
- 15:10women, children, older men and soft, weak men who didn't go to
- 15:13war. So then the church becomes
- 15:16custom built for women, children and soft weak men.
- 15:20The men come back from combat and they're like, we don't have
- 15:23a brotherhood, we don't have a general, we don't have a
- 15:26mission. That sense of brotherhood and
- 15:28camaraderie is gone. And so they never came back to
- 15:31church. And while they were at war, the
- 15:32women decided MOB was the chosen color for all Baptist churches.
- 15:36Sea foam green was the backup option.
- 15:38The guy leading worship didn't make the cut for the military
- 15:42because he's a little fruity and pretty soft.
- 15:45And so the music is soft. The women and children feel
- 15:48safe. The old guys up front and the
- 15:50men are like, we're never coming back.
- 15:51So since the first and Second World War, which is really the
- 15:55dawn and the rise of evangelicalism is within that
- 15:58era, it has been largely female driven.
- 16:02And so you, you know, Christian radio is safe, positive,
- 16:05uplifting for the whole family, which is like, OK, well, then
- 16:08there's whole sections of the New Testament we can't even read
- 16:10is the verse of the day. That's crazy, you know?
- 16:16We've talked about buying radio station.
- 16:17Yeah, like we can't read Eglon Eha, the, you know, guys that
- 16:21got stabbed and their entrails fell out and Tamar and, you
- 16:25know, we can't really tell the story of Esther, you know?
- 16:28Basically, like Matthew left, you can't, yeah, can't get in
- 16:32any of it. So all of a sudden it becomes
- 16:34this sort of sanitized suburban Karen housewife.
- 16:39Yeah, you know. Can you imagine Version of the
- 16:41day? Hey, verse of the day.
- 16:42And David carried around 10,000 foreskins in his bag and now
- 16:47that's a new song. Actually wants to RIP it off and
- 16:50do it with Mark. Yeah, and the.
- 16:52Discouraging verse of the day, yeah.
- 16:53Yeah, Judas hung himself and his intestines spilled out.
- 16:59God bless you. Now praying for your mother.
- 17:02You know, I mean, it's just, I mean, if you just because I, you
- 17:05grew up in the church, I didn't. So I, I was Jack marginal
- 17:09Catholic. So I grew up and I got saved
- 17:11reading the Bible. So I came to the to the Bible
- 17:14without this veneer of, you know, church upbringing.
- 17:17And I'm like, this is a wild book.
- 17:20And there's some crazy stories and there's some people that
- 17:23there's no way they would get hired at any Christian
- 17:25organization. Like nobody would hire Samson to
- 17:28work at a Christian School. Nobody.
- 17:31Nobody. No, no, the teachers won't be
- 17:34safe. The men would be dead.
- 17:37The women wouldn't be pregnant. You're right.
- 17:40Yeah. And at the end of the year, the
- 17:42the building gets tore down. Total disaster.
- 17:45Yeah. So I'm like, I'm like, this is a
- 17:48lot more wild than than than the expression of faith that that
- 17:53manifests out of. It it's interesting you're
- 17:54talking about that because you were always known as like the
- 17:56edgy pastor who's pushing the edge, you know, and, and.
- 17:59I didn't know there was an edge. What's this edge you speak of?
- 18:03Yeah, but there's that. But then it's it's thinking
- 18:05about it. You're you, you were actually
- 18:08just teaching verse by verse to the Bible.
- 18:10That's what you actually been. Doing preached 30 years, 40
- 18:12books to the Bible. Yeah, and so teach wild that
- 18:16teaching verse by verse through 30 books, or how many say 40
- 18:20books to the Bible. Makes you radical.
- 18:22Makes you edgy because that that mauve seafoam green
- 18:27evangelicalism hadn't heard all those verses and so they thought
- 18:30you were being edgy in crass and what?
- 18:32And and trying to get yeah, click bait, whatever.
- 18:35You're like. No, I'm like, I'm preaching
- 18:37verse by verse, through Nehemiah, through Ezra, through
- 18:39song. Go through Genesis.
- 18:40Through Genesis. Through Exodus.
- 18:42Noah's naked in his tent and his son is walking in and we're not
- 18:46sure what happened but we know it was enough to curse the
- 18:48grandson. So it wasn't good, you know.
- 18:53And you're, you're like, where where was the veg veggie tail
- 18:56for that? Where was the veggie tail for
- 18:58that? Veggie, we won't go there, but
- 18:59the veggie tail guy ended up going Fruit Loops.
- 19:02No, no. I.
- 19:03Didn't know that. Oh my gosh.
- 19:06I don't know things. I know.
- 19:07What, what? What?
- 19:08When you spill the tea? Well, this isn't like what
- 19:11people you always say you're online.
- 19:12People think he's just saying that he's literally not online.
- 19:14He hasn't been on social. Media for years.
- 19:16I'm like, hey bro, we have a new president.
- 19:21Great. Is he for us or against?
- 19:23Us aren't things getting better or worse out there?
- 19:26And and so he's literally not online.
- 19:28And so like I, I, I've even sent you some things and then I'm
- 19:31like, oh, do you want to know about this?
- 19:32And you're like, no, bro, I'm like, oh, Philip Ansi, you're
- 19:35like, I don't even want to know about this, but yeah, dude, the
- 19:39the guy that what's his guy? The the vegetal guy name Phil
- 19:43Fisher. Phil Fisher, right.
- 19:46You haven't been falling Phil Fisher.
- 19:47That guy's like, off. What is the?
- 19:49Reservation. Is he tranny?
- 19:51Is he? I think so you.
- 19:54See Gay. Is he universalistic?
- 19:56What is the loops? Is he a?
- 19:57Lesbyterian like what team did he join?
- 20:00Those are a lot of boxes to check.
- 20:01I think he's trying to check a bunch of them.
- 20:03He's like hardcore crazy woke, like DEI, like Trump's the spawn
- 20:08of Satan. I mean, like, you know, Russell
- 20:10Moore is like the second coming of Jesus.
- 20:13I think they're even like a Bible say together.
- 20:15I mean, like, it's wild, bro, what he's promoting, what he's
- 20:19pushing videos. He'd he's even done some like
- 20:21response videos to me, I think where he's just like this guy is
- 20:24like what's everything that's wrong with Christianity,
- 20:26Christian nationalism, blah, blah, blah.
- 20:27It's it's wild. We should pull up a video and
- 20:30just play it right now. Yeah, I mean it's.
- 20:32I mean, not, not to like, well, this guy's probably earned it,
- 20:34but the point being, how do we get here?
- 20:37Oh, Veggie Tales. Yeah.
- 20:37Veggie Tales. Well, and and the self culture
- 20:39and evangelicalism, yeah, it's just strange and it always goes
- 20:43South and to the left. It always goes soft.
- 20:45Yeah. I feel like it's, it's, it's
- 20:47like, and again, I'm not trying to knock Veggie Tales in terms
- 20:49of what it was in the day, in terms of getting kids interested
- 20:51in the Bible. And vegetables, I mean.
- 20:56Guys giving vegetables a bad name.
- 20:59Now the dude is he's trashing vegetables You.
- 21:05Know what I mean? Oh man, that's so funny.
- 21:07But yeah, you were reviewed by preaching verse 5 verse to the
- 21:10Bible. That's why I've had crazy
- 21:12conversations with pastors and steers where we want to go land
- 21:14and your show, not mine, but I have a ton of pastors call them
- 21:18and they're like, they're like, hey, you're crushing church.
- 21:20It's going great. We're growing.
- 21:22We just don't know how to how to get the men here and I'm like,
- 21:24well, back up like you then you're not crushing church.
- 21:27Then you know, just gathering a bunch of people for an event on
- 21:31a weekend doesn't necessarily mean you're crushing church.
- 21:33You have a killer women's conference.
- 21:37It means 52 weeks a year. Totally.
- 21:39And I've literally had passion say to me like, I'm comfortable
- 21:41talking to women. I don't know how to talk to men.
- 21:44And so part of the crisis is we just don't have men in ministry
- 21:48who are men. And we've talked about the fact
- 21:50that like I think the next wave of pastures that I'm seeing
- 21:53coming. My, my whole I just want to
- 21:54apologize for my whole generation of pastors.
- 21:57Yeah, they are on a good day worthless.
- 22:04I mean, they're, they're weak, they're soft woke.
- 22:06They try to play the third way and you know, Democrat,
- 22:10Republican, liberal, conservative straddle the fence,
- 22:13which is only a good way to chafe your crotch.
- 22:15I mean, they, they don't do conflict.
- 22:18They virtue signal. They're they're soft.
- 22:20They're soft woke most of my generation like and they're not.
- 22:24And the older guys aren't finishing well.
- 22:27No, we put together a list of guys like.
- 22:29I'm in my 70s. It's it's it's time to starting
- 22:33to take my pants off. It's like really like you're,
- 22:38you're in the two-minute drill of your life.
- 22:41And now? That's the play you.
- 22:42Call yeah. And I was like I'm anti
- 22:45underwear from this point forward.
- 22:46Like really this is it. This is the go forward plan.
- 22:49It's it's bizarre. We made a list of guys that that
- 22:51that not just like have drifted, but if like crashed.
- 22:54It's a long list of guys that were the go to guys, yeah, 15
- 22:58years or 15 years ago. Those of them it it's, it's it's
- 23:01wild. And when we talked about, when
- 23:04we talked about like the positive, neutral, negative
- 23:06worlds, the Aaron Wren kind of the, the, the, the categories he
- 23:10gave there, he talked about like the strategy and positive world,
- 23:13the strategy and neutral world, the strategy and mythology in,
- 23:16in negative world. And the longer my team and I
- 23:18looked at Adam and I were even kicking around, I, I would, I
- 23:22would not fuss at it because Aaron's a good friend.
- 23:24He's very intelligent, good guy. But I, I think I would reframe
- 23:27some of it. It's not just that they were
- 23:28different mythological strategies for different areas
- 23:30in the church. I think in part what got us into
- 23:33negative world was the mythological strategies of
- 23:37neutral and positive world. 100%.
- 23:39And so because right now, I believe the the play is
- 23:42Apostolic boldness, that's where we need to be.
- 23:45And as I've thought about like, that's kind of always the play.
- 23:47That's like the whole book of Acts be Apostolic.
- 23:50All the good guys in the New Testament got killed by the
- 23:52government. Every one of them and so this
- 23:54whole like you talk your generation that's like, hey,
- 23:56let's go neutral world, let's go Switzerland, let's go let's not
- 24:00engage in politics. To be faithful to Jesus is to
- 24:03ignore a massive section of society that Jesus actually
- 24:08talks a lot about, was regularly engaging, and his church and
- 24:12Kingdom actually ended up turning upside down.
- 24:14And so it's just wild to think that to be faithful to Jesus
- 24:17means we never talk about politics or the public square.
- 24:20And so we seated that ground to the enemy and it's currently
- 24:23kicking our butt. And so one of my hearts, I know
- 24:25Adam here too might be on the show later is to step back into
- 24:28the public square in a way that's admirable, bold,
- 24:32courageous, truth telling, truth loving like the pastors that are
- 24:36our forefathers of our nation. It was the preaching of George
- 24:40Whitfield. I don't care how much JD Greer
- 24:42runs him down in his book. Literally JD Greer can do this
- 24:45thing to show edit off if you. Could do it every.
- 24:47Week JD Greer in his book literally is like George
- 24:48Whitfield bad Martin Luther King junior good the guy that
- 24:53preached the gospel faithfully started orphans in the schools
- 24:56up and down the colonials. Provider King Junior Just yes,
- 25:00we're we're against slavery before civil rights, but
- 25:03theologically he's not a Christian.
- 25:05No. And morally.
- 25:07No, no, no. So, so when all of the all of
- 25:11when when POTUS got into office and and decommissioned,
- 25:14declassified a bunch of these, a bunch of these.
- 25:16So bro, the things that that that the FBI was tracking him
- 25:19doing, Yeah. It's worse than Diddy parties.
- 25:21Bro gay prostitutes rapes recording recordings of him
- 25:26coaching young black men through how to rape a girl real time in
- 25:30their hotel rooms. It, it, it, it's staggering.
- 25:32Well, and and his theological conviction, I mean universalism,
- 25:37he is not a guy who believes in the Jesus that we believe.
- 25:41In, that's exactly. Right.
- 25:42Or the Christian conviction that we hold dear.
- 25:44And so that, yeah, he's a he's a pastor.
- 25:45It's like, well, so was Judas. That's right.
- 25:48That that you know, we need more than that to put you on the
- 25:51team. Yeah, and it's like if you're a
- 25:52white guy and you and you say true things about a black guy,
- 25:55you're all of a sudden racist. Like no, like like we actually
- 25:57consider men to stand on their own character, literally taking
- 26:00him at his. If a guy denied the gospel and
- 26:03was a sexual pervert and white, I would say he's not a faithful
- 26:07Christian, especially a pastor. Yeah, he playing field for all
- 26:11men to be judged by their. Character let's let's go with
- 26:14his own words. That's right, by the content of
- 26:16character. That's right.
- 26:17Not the color of their skin. Yeah.
- 26:19I'll just play him at his own words.
- 26:21I've actually met his, I think it's his niece.
- 26:25She's a sweet gal. One of the only King family
- 26:29members left who's pro-life. She just loves Jesus.
- 26:33Very, very sweet and willing to be honest about her uncle's.
- 26:38The legacy of, of his, of his political activism.
- 26:40That's that. That was helpful in some ways,
- 26:42unhelpful in others. And then in reality of who he
- 26:44was as a person. It's like this.
- 26:46Wow. The point being, JD Greer's
- 26:48like, be like Martin Luther King Junior.
- 26:49I'm like, I don't think so. And like running down George
- 26:52Whitfield as a racist. It's like, dude, my gosh, George
- 26:55Whitfield's preaching brought about the Second Great
- 26:58Awakening. That was the atmosphere that the
- 27:00founders were saturated in and birthed our nation out of.
- 27:04It was the faithful preaching of the gospel that created the
- 27:07atmosphere through which, hey, liberty, life, private property,
- 27:13ownership, the value of human beings as made in the image of
- 27:16God with intrinsic dignity, worth, and value.
- 27:18That's all Bible stuff. That's all stuff that came about
- 27:21because a guy was willing to preach faithfully.
- 27:23The gospel up and down the West Coast still holds the record for
- 27:26the longest horseback trip in history, recorded history.
- 27:29That's that's George Whitfield. Where are those dudes who are
- 27:32just wearing themselves out? Meanwhile, you're in your study,
- 27:36you know, writing a book that you'll get a six figure advance
- 27:39for talking trash about him. Yeah, it's.
- 27:42Meanwhile, he's on a horse yelling himself to the point
- 27:45where he's coughing up blood to lead people to Christ.
- 27:48Yeah, dies at I mean he died early because you just life was
- 27:51spent So like if we've talked about I think this new
- 27:54generation of pastors that I'm seeing come up like 30 to 4045,
- 27:59they're differentiated home school, their kids unplug from
- 28:01the government to state matrix schooling system and.
- 28:04They've been through COVID and BLM and.
- 28:06Elections, COVID, they're not connected to a denomination.
- 28:10They're winning dudes. They're running 345610 thousand.
- 28:13They're not cessationists, they love the Holy Spirit.
- 28:15They love the Holy Spirit. They're not online because they
- 28:18don't have time to be online. They're building stuff in real
- 28:21life. And so it, it feels like there
- 28:24is this army of really good, faithful young dudes coming up
- 28:27that nobody knows about because they're not on X all day, but
- 28:31they're out there and they're doing good things.
- 28:34And, and they're engaging in what I believe is faithfulness
- 28:39theology, preaching the gospel courageously, being the
- 28:42conscience of the government with the word of God.
- 28:45Because if if the church stops heralding the truth and speaking
- 28:49to the government, as in from a position over the government
- 28:52because God is over government, then the government loses its
- 28:54conscience and does stupid things like my state's doing
- 28:56right now, which is basically. Murder children, punish
- 29:00families, tax businesses, seize property and encourage
- 29:06lawlessness, and at every level, oppose law enforcement and call
- 29:10it all justice. End call.
- 29:14It's insane. It's insane.
- 29:15So I, I, I believe there's a, a season coming.
- 29:19I'm praying this in, in, in the, in the American experiment where
- 29:24the I've told us to land in the Black Rd. regiment rising again.
- 29:27I'm tempted to start a podcast called The Black Robe Regiment.
- 29:30Other podcasts. I love it.
- 29:31Yeah, and, and people are like, I haven't had a chance to, to,
- 29:34to mention it to some folks in the White House and, and a lot
- 29:37of them like Black Rd. Regiment.
- 29:38I'm like the Black Robe regiment and they're like, what's that?
- 29:42I'm like, Oh my gosh. Explain it for that person that
- 29:44has no idea. Well, it's, it's a you're,
- 29:46you're, you're, you're, you're, you're months and months and
- 29:48months into into the Revolution, American Revolutionary War.
- 29:51We call it the, I like to call it the war for independence
- 29:53because revolutions come and go. War for independence was a shift
- 29:56in, in ideology, war for independence.
- 29:59And it's like we're losing not good Britain, British sending
- 30:03over massive ships, supply soldiers.
- 30:06We got guys running, you know, single shot muskets, very little
- 30:09powder. Their farms are being taken
- 30:11over. It's it's, it's guerrilla
- 30:12warfare. And on June 19th, George
- 30:18Washington is sworn in as as a Commission general for the
- 30:21Continental U.S. Army.
- 30:22He's got 15,000 men under, under his his rule, under his
- 30:26leadership. And they're going to try to save
- 30:28the colonies. Well, it it's not looking good.
- 30:31I mean, we're down to like 1000 soldiers there.
- 30:33They're at which is Wild Valley Ford.
- 30:36Yeah. It's, it's if they don't spy the
- 30:38winter, it's over. And there was a lot of
- 30:42Presbyterian churches at the time.
- 30:43And a Presbyterian pastor stood in his pulpit in a very, very
- 30:48famous sermon, said, I will not stand in this pulpit and preach
- 30:52about liberty and preach about justice and preach about freedom
- 30:56and then send young men to die for that which I proclaim is
- 30:59true. And he said the time for
- 31:02preaching has ended. The time for action has come.
- 31:05He takes off his black Presbyterian preacher's robe,
- 31:08reveals revolutionary colonial army uniform, marches out the
- 31:14center of how they never see him again.
- 31:15He wouldn't die fighting for freedom.
- 31:17And not to overstate the contribution, but it history, I
- 31:20think is very, very clear in terms of the significant
- 31:23contribution that a bunch of these pastors made so cool
- 31:26because they were good at gathering people, comforting
- 31:29pastor and leading people and they knew how to think
- 31:31strategically. And so the, the, the, the
- 31:34British gave them a name, the Black Robe Regiment, kind of as
- 31:38like, as like a derogatory term. They took it as a badge of
- 31:41honor. And it wasn't in small part to
- 31:43the pastors actually taking up arms, going to war and killing
- 31:46British soldiers in war that contributed to leading to the
- 31:51freedom that our nation was birthed under.
- 31:53And so Black Robe Regiment pastors are not only willing to
- 31:56talk, but act for the sake of what they say they believe.
- 31:59Would you trust any? Most pastors in war with you
- 32:03that you know like not not your. Group in physical war?
- 32:06Yeah no, but I don't want to get my rear blown off and some guy
- 32:12dropped a green. The average?
- 32:13Pastor could not go to war and be successful.
- 32:15Yeah, I mean if the. Average pastor could not go to
- 32:17nerf war and be successful. Yeah, it's just.
- 32:21That's where I think the better leaders, we're saying they're
- 32:24coming out of the military. And law enforcement.
- 32:26They're coming out of law enforcement.
- 32:27They understand chain of command.
- 32:29They understand conflict. They understand pain tolerance.
- 32:32Yeah, and. Well, and they don't they're not
- 32:34intimidated by online mobs. I mean, so like we planted John
- 32:37level in Rome, GA Grace City, Rome, he.
- 32:39Could give a crap. Yeah, I mean, it's like I was
- 32:42talking with, we just hired Brent Frank.
- 32:44He's principal at Garden City Academy, and he's helping us
- 32:47here at the church as well. Help build strong imagination.
- 32:49Help me build that man card 2.0 helps me lead man card for our
- 32:52boys. Write a patch of stuff you, you
- 32:53know, all about. And like, this is a guy who's
- 32:55like sat in a pastor's meeting with me a week ago and said,
- 32:59I've held a woman as she bled to death and took her last breath
- 33:03in my arms with a knife sticking out of her neck.
- 33:06I've haunted the man who put that knife there with her blood
- 33:09on me in the dead of night. I've put my fingers in the holes
- 33:13of men that I put there. And I'm telling you tonight,
- 33:16I've never sat with a greater group of leaders than the
- 33:19pastors in this room. And like, that's the kind of
- 33:22pastor in mind building that like warriors who've actually
- 33:25been shot at could sit around a room of passage and go, OK, no,
- 33:28this is mission. These are dudes, This is
- 33:31leadership, this is manhood. And when you've been shot at
- 33:34literally, I mean, Brent Frank chasing a drug drug, a drug
- 33:38kingpin around the corner, comes around the corner, got
- 33:42overzealous first year cop runs on the corner, gun in his face,
- 33:45revolver double action pulls a trigger click, hits on an empty
- 33:51on an empty chamber. It's like when you when you've
- 33:54had that happen. Yeah, an e-mail isn't going to
- 33:57take you down. Julie Roy's blogging about you
- 33:59doesn't really bother you. And definitionally, that's what
- 34:02a shepherd is like. We talk about this a lot.
- 34:04A shepherd's a lot more like a cowboy than it is.
- 34:06This this this cute picture of the.
- 34:08Lamb. That's right, a shepherd.
- 34:10Defended the flock, Yeah. From lions, bears, wolves and
- 34:14they knew how to fight. Yeah, yeah.
- 34:16So guys have been trained tactically.
- 34:18I think it's actually easier to go from the tactical world to
- 34:20the theological world than vice versa.
- 34:22Yeah. So Brent's been on board here
- 34:25for a year or two. He's been growing as a Christian
- 34:28for many, many years. And so he has that as his
- 34:29foundation. But his professional training is
- 34:32tactician, strategy, war. Well, he can make the shift
- 34:36easy. Then to the theology side.
- 34:38It can be tough to take a guy from a seminary and help him
- 34:40think tactically and strategically.
- 34:42A seminary. A seminary is a intensely safe
- 34:46environment, Yes. It's like a college campus.
- 34:49Somebody else pays the bills, somebody else cuts the grass,
- 34:52somebody else runs the security and the professors just show up
- 34:55and teach in the womb of a very coddled environment.
- 34:59And so you can be a very safe man.
- 35:01Once you head out and you're leading, you're like, we need to
- 35:04get property, we need to buy it, we need to generate revenue, we
- 35:07need to manage employees, we need to have a security plan, We
- 35:10need to secure our environment. I mean, you're, you're dealing
- 35:13now with the reality of leadership.
- 35:15When in hostile environment, and you taught me this, it it's hard
- 35:19to build things, easy to tear them down.
- 35:21So it took how many years to build the twin towers, how many
- 35:23minutes to bring them down. And so if you're going to build
- 35:26anything of of substance and significance, you have to also
- 35:29be prepared to defend it. So it's the sword and trial of
- 35:31Nehemiah 4. And So what we found is we
- 35:34thought what we built people with love because we're here to
- 35:37bless men and, and bless women and bless children and
- 35:39strengthen the family and help men build businesses and help
- 35:42women thrive and flourish and help dudes that are absent.
- 35:45Show up and help dudes, you know, rebuke dudes who are
- 35:48heavy-handed to repent and submit the spiritual authority
- 35:50and help, you know, all the things, right?
- 35:52And then you realize there is a there is a demonic force that
- 35:56hates what we're doing and it's going to wield assets in the
- 35:59physical realm to attack us. And so all of a sudden, what
- 36:02you've built to bless other people, you have to now defend.
- 36:06And if you're not willing to defend it, you're going to lose
- 36:07it. And so I told church all the
- 36:09time, governance is more important than theology.
- 36:12Yeah. Because if you don't have good
- 36:14governments that's built to fight and defend and do battle,
- 36:16you'll lose your theology. It'll it it you will it will
- 36:20get. Changed entire denominations are
- 36:23complete case studies in that very rarely, I mean very rarely
- 36:28does a denomination that is liberal become conservative.
- 36:32That's right. But every time a conservative
- 36:34denomination becomes liberal, yeah.
- 36:37I think you you talked about the Veggie Tales guys earlier and I
- 36:39had the guys pull a clip that I think will, will, will prove
- 36:43your guys's point very clearly on how liberalism just creeps
- 36:46in. Yep.
- 36:48Just the idea, the number of people who who are saying he was
- 36:51killed for his faith. He was killed because he was a
- 36:55Christian, you know, and I just, I don't know what world, I don't
- 37:00know how you come to that conclusion when that's not
- 37:02primarily what he was known for. It's not his.
- 37:05You know, he had some debates that involved Christianity, but
- 37:10the majority of his debates were about hot button social issues.
- 37:13But Phil. Don't you think part of the way
- 37:15people who are huge fans of Charlie Kirk interpreted him is
- 37:18all those other issues that he was an outspoken advocate for?
- 37:22Our view of Christianity. They would argue he held those
- 37:24views because. He was a Christian.
- 37:27But you know, some of his views like that black men are wildly
- 37:30violent, you know, and and much more violent than white men.
- 37:35Is is that a Christian view? Is that a that is?
- 37:37Doesn't seem to be seems to be Bible, not even adjacent.
- 37:42Yeah, just total clown. It I I knew Charlie, he was my
- 37:46friend. Yeah.
- 37:47And so he would call me on the Bible stuff.
- 37:49And I'm going to overstate that. I was his best friend.
- 37:51But like, we texted, we get together, he'd give me stuff to
- 37:55be brain for. He tagged me in when he had
- 37:57needs on theological stuff. He is a profoundly genuine, deep
- 38:03Christian. That's right.
- 38:04Profoundly that's right. And you know, for him, the top
- 38:09of the funnel was dealing with political and social issues.
- 38:13But the goal then is to always take the issues that people have
- 38:16interest in and to pull them into the issues that really
- 38:19matter. That's right.
- 38:20Which are matters of faith and Bible and Jesus and
- 38:23Christianity. And Charlie did that all.
- 38:28He was explicit. He was overt about it, and this
- 38:32was remarkably evident at his funeral.
- 38:35And we were all there sitting, you know, right in front of the
- 38:38stage. Everybody got up and they're
- 38:40like, well, I guess we're going to talk about Charlie.
- 38:42We got to talk about Jesus because Charlie only talked
- 38:44about Jesus. And I'm after a couple hours,
- 38:46I'm like. Pretty obvious.
- 38:48Pretty obvious he was talking and he's talking RFK about
- 38:51Jesus, he's talking about Higgs war.
- 38:54Yeah, he's like everybody's like, yeah, when I talked to
- 38:56Charlie about Jesus, I'm like, okay, I mean, he was a.
- 38:59Well, there were people that you know, that were spirit filled
- 39:02men and it was obvious and they were talking and they identified
- 39:05with Charlie. And then there are people there
- 39:06who weren't followers of Jesus, and they still to talk about
- 39:09Jesus. They still tried.
- 39:10Because that's all Charlie talked about.
- 39:12Yeah, they're like, well, I know Charlie will talk a lot about
- 39:14Jesus, and I don't know a lot about him, but I'll talk about
- 39:16him, you know? Great.
- 39:18Thanks for trying. I mean, like what it's like live
- 39:21a kind of life so that when you die, the only thing that people
- 39:24talk about is what you talked about.
- 39:26And he was explicit in his own words.
- 39:28He's like, look, I talk politics because it affects people.
- 39:30It affects policies. Sure, I'm passionate about it
- 39:33and I love people. He's like, but at the end of the
- 39:35day, I mean, how many hundreds of videos are on the of him
- 39:38saying, at the end of the day, it's about Jesus.
- 39:40It's about a biblical worldview that builds beauty and strength
- 39:44and wonder around us. He was so explicitly Christian.
- 39:47They sit there and pop off. And when he got shot, he was
- 39:49talking about Christianity. Literally.
- 39:51Literally. Yeah, it's wild that that that's
- 39:55the Veggie Tales guys. Well, see, that's that's largely
- 39:58where evangelicalism is. It's a smarmy, judgmental virtue
- 40:03signalling from people who do not do a lot.
- 40:08And at some point they did and continue to ride that as if
- 40:12anyone cared. And that's most of the pastors
- 40:16in my generation. Yeah.
- 40:18The, the encouraging thing we've talked about this is, is I am
- 40:21meeting and hearing in, in connecting with a ton and I told
- 40:24you this, I, I got to get you connect these guys, bro, they're
- 40:26I. Don't know any of these people.
- 40:28You know they. Are out there.
- 40:30I I am in the woods with deer and grandchildren.
- 40:34That's what I'm doing. That's your life.
- 40:36It is literally his life. Yeah, I sit by the fire with the
- 40:38deer and I hang out the yeah, yeah, that's what I'm doing. 50
- 40:40million people reached a week online and you're in the studio
- 40:43for an hour. Yeah, Landon's very busy guy.
- 40:48They're very efficient. But to me, at the end of the
- 40:50day, it's like if you, part of it is I guess is if you live
- 40:54online and you listen it, then you're responding to them, not
- 40:58to him. That's right.
- 41:00And so if you're going to maintain any set of sort of
- 41:03prophetic edge, it's like I, I, I listen to him and then I speak
- 41:08and then you respond to me. And if I respond to you, I'm no
- 41:11longer listening to him. I'm listening to you.
- 41:14And at that point, that's. Write that down.
- 41:17That was good. At that point, you're an
- 41:19unfaithful servant, and that's how you become a hireling,
- 41:23because at that point you start deciding, if I message it this
- 41:27way, I get this audience, I get this market share, I get this
- 41:30book deal, I get the speaking engagement, I get this sort of
- 41:34compensation, and then you're a hireling.
- 41:39That's right. But at that point, you're the
- 41:40worst of the of politicians. You're you're political, not
- 41:43prophetic. Well, at that, at that point,
- 41:46the Bible will call you a whore because you're just for sale and
- 41:51you'll you'll lay on your back to pay your mortgage.
- 41:55And there's a lot of guys that do that.
- 41:57Yeah, Yep. Yep, Joshua's home school.
- 42:03Just remember. And I've seen it with guys I've
- 42:06seen. Encouraging, say, for the whole
- 42:08family. Why do people think he's
- 42:09controversial? I don't know.
- 42:11But I've seen guys that start as pastors and Bible teachers and
- 42:13then they get a platform and then they, they start worrying
- 42:16about maintaining their platform and market share and then their
- 42:19message changes and they're defying the entire reason that
- 42:24they got a platform in the 1st place.
- 42:26And to me that's deceptive because at that point, the
- 42:29people that started following me, they followed you because
- 42:32you spoke on behalf of the Lord. And once you stop listening to
- 42:35the Lord and you started speaking so that you would get
- 42:37market share or likability, at that point, you are not only
- 42:41dishonouring the Lord, you are an unfaithful servant of those
- 42:44people who are listening to you and you're accountable for them.
- 42:47And the Bible says not many of you should presume to be
- 42:49teachers. You will be judged more
- 42:50strictly. And if you don't have a a somber
- 42:53fear of God in this yeah, that you, you are in grave danger.
- 42:56And those who are following you are in a a dangerous place.
- 42:59That's right. No, I think as I, as I listen to
- 43:02you talk, one of the things I've always appreciated about you,
- 43:04Pastor Mark, is you have, you have a, a felt fear of God in
- 43:12your presence. And, and that's been growing in
- 43:16me. You know, you know, I was at a
- 43:1740 day fast and one of the, the outcomes of that was just in, in
- 43:21intensified fear of God where it's just, it's just like as the
- 43:25fear of God grows, the fear of man dwindles.
- 43:28And, and like I've been online since Christmas and I almost
- 43:30can't. And and I've tried and it's not
- 43:33to say it's bad if you do, but it's like as as soon as I go
- 43:37online, it's just, I just sense internally instant static on the
- 43:41line. In turn, in terms of now you can
- 43:43be online and listen and but. If it's about you, there's no
- 43:46way to not allow that to get on you, and it's hard to not let it
- 43:51get in you. That's right.
- 43:52And if it's, you know, they're talking trash about the
- 43:54designated hitter for the Boston Red Sox.
- 43:57I'm probably not wearing that right if it's about me and my
- 44:00wife, far more likely. Yeah, that's exactly.
- 44:03Right. And so for those who are
- 44:04consuming content, it's different when the content is
- 44:07very personal and about you. Yep, Yep.
- 44:10Well, and even for me, it's just it was just chasing who's saying
- 44:14who about what and you kind of just into this kind of
- 44:17evangelical like like gossip cul-de-sac and it's like, who
- 44:20should you defend? I don't.
- 44:21Want to be in the Christian sorority?
- 44:23It it's exhausting. Who's dating who?
- 44:25Who's breaking up with who? You know?
- 44:27Who's sleeping with who? I I don't care.
- 44:30You know it it so like to your point earlier about about guys
- 44:33start with a faithful listening to God begin listening to man
- 44:36and now they they move to become unfaithful.
- 44:38I mean, I have dear friends who have large platforms are good
- 44:42faithful men used to get invited to stuff and now I don't get
- 44:46invited to stuff because they're they're deemed as too
- 44:48controversial because they're literally saying simple things
- 44:51like murdering babies, mutilating children's genitalia
- 44:55and, you know, thinking. 2 genders.
- 44:59That there's more than two genders might not be what God
- 45:02says in his word. And now they're deemed as
- 45:04political when in reality they're being prophetic.
- 45:06And So what, what what I have observed is there are like, and
- 45:10people should know this. And I'm not going to use names
- 45:12because people would know the names.
- 45:13And I'm not, it's not my place to, to, to tell this guy's
- 45:15story, these people's story, but their entire underground mafias.
- 45:20I mean, I mean, there's black mafia, there's big Eva mafia.
- 45:24And if you step over a line, they swarm.
- 45:28He doesn't know anything about that.
- 45:29Yeah, I know you've never heard of this, but hypothetically this
- 45:31could happen to a guy. If you step over a line, they
- 45:34swarm and it's coordinated attack.
- 45:37They've obviously been talking. All of a sudden you're getting
- 45:39shelled with text messages and hey, you step over a line, you
- 45:43need to repent, you need to apologize, you need to back up
- 45:46invitations get get retracted. You start getting separated and
- 45:50isolated. So they're, they're threatening
- 45:52to cut you off unless you stay enmeshed.
- 45:55And as you stay, you know, playing by the, the, the, the
- 45:58team's rule book and like, like figureheads of big Eva and big
- 46:03voices in the black church community lean on these men.
- 46:06And it's, it's it, it's like, it's like a theological
- 46:09plantation you're a slave on and you're, you're not allowed off.
- 46:12It's wild, it's wicked, it's demonic, and it's real and it's
- 46:17controlling guys. It's controlling publishing
- 46:19houses, it's controlling conferences, All the major
- 46:22conferences that were awesome 10 or 15 years ago, they're all
- 46:26controlled by this underground mafia and making sure that it's
- 46:29wild that the narrative stays in line with the big Eva playbook,
- 46:34with the black church playbook. And it it's wicked.
- 46:37It's wicked. I recently it was a throwaway
- 46:39comment. I said something about Carl
- 46:41Lentz don't love that he's got a platform teaching people the
- 46:45Bible after the affair that he has said that he affairs that he
- 46:50is self-proclaimed. He has been vocal.
- 46:53Brian Houston. I have 4000 followers.
- 46:55Brian Houston came after me at 1:00 AM calling me demonic in
- 46:58the comments and it's there. You can see it.
- 47:00I'm like. Dude, hang out with your.
- 47:02Wife I've got 4000 followers. Why does anyone care what I
- 47:06said? It was a throwaway comment
- 47:08right? But it was like but every
- 47:09record. We're not for adultery.
- 47:12We are so against adultery. I don't.
- 47:14I've never seen the top ten list somewhere and I think it was on
- 47:17it, so I'm just going to roll with it.
- 47:19Not there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 47:20Yeah, I didn't. I didn't.
- 47:22This is embarrassing. I'm not sure what Carl Lens is,
- 47:23but. He's a big Hillsong pastor.
- 47:26Every Hillsong pastor got in the comments and said I was lying,
- 47:29all this was false, blah, blah blah.
- 47:30I'm like. Carl Lens in New York.
- 47:32Carl Lens in a Netflix documentary talking about his
- 47:35affairs. He literally did and all I said
- 47:37was a guy like that shouldn't be teaching Christians.
- 47:39Is it is it a good documentary like I don't?
- 47:42Know, because we don't watch No, but, but so, so for me, like,
- 47:45I'll give you an analogy, like some years ago, there's a story
- 47:49that was interesting. There was a, there was a, a big
- 47:52ship out at sea and there was a light that was in its lane.
- 47:56And so the big ship was used to just telling all the little
- 48:00ships, you know, get out of my lane, get out of my lane.
- 48:02So the big ship gets on calls, you know what they think is the
- 48:06little ship in their lane and says, Hey, you're, you're in our
- 48:09lane. We've got the right away.
- 48:10Get out of our lane, get out of our lane.
- 48:11Get out of our lane and they get the call back.
- 48:14We will not be moving. You will need to move.
- 48:18And the big ship says no, no, we're the big ship.
- 48:20You're in our lane, you've got to move.
- 48:22Get out of our lane, get out of our lane.
- 48:23Get out of our lane. Get out of our lane.
- 48:26Call comes back. We will not be moving.
- 48:28You must move and get out of our lane.
- 48:31Final call comes in. Get out of the lane.
- 48:34We're going to crash. Call comes back.
- 48:36You're going to need to move. We're the lighthouse.
- 48:40Yeah, we're not moving. I want to be the lighthouse.
- 48:42That's right, yeah. You call me all you want, I
- 48:46ain't moving. That's right.
- 48:47You're going to have to move. Yeah, and too many guys.
- 48:50They're a dinghy with a flashlight.
- 48:55Yeah. You know, and they get one call,
- 48:58one text, and they're like, yes, Sir.
- 49:01Oh, roll out of your lane. No, OK.
- 49:04Before you preached last night Before, before you preached us
- 49:08and I told you I said hey, just so you know, last minute we
- 49:12cancelled the. Gay pole dancer.
- 49:14Gay pole dancer And then what would you say I wasn't going to
- 49:17be? Just put it after me.
- 49:20Like happen if you want just put them after.
- 49:22Me, I don't have to deal with it.
- 49:25It's easy. Yeah.
- 49:26Just sequence this correctly. Totally.
- 49:31We can avoid a lot of pain here. Yeah, yeah.
- 49:34Get the order right. If you want to do drag queen
- 49:37story hour, Yeah, after my sermon.
- 49:39Yeah, perfect time 100%. After I've left the parking lot
- 49:43totally on you. I feel no sense of
- 49:44responsibility, yeah. Never ask him to do Elijah after
- 49:48you put a pole dancer. Yeah, yeah.
- 49:50It's just not going to go well. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 49:53Hypothetically. Hypothetically.
- 49:54Yeah, what else do you want to? Talk about this is your show.
- 49:56I I'm in the realm of possibility.
- 49:59Political, I think. I don't think we've gotten there
- 50:01yet. Thanks for not moving by the
- 50:02way. I didn't know there was an
- 50:05option. I got saved reading the Bible,
- 50:10and I believe it. So I didn't know there was an
- 50:14option. You know, to me, it's like I got
- 50:17married and I've stayed faithful to my wife.
- 50:19And I've did people say, hey, thanks for staying faithful.
- 50:22I didn't know there was an option.
- 50:24I thought that's what marriage was.
- 50:26I thought that's what Christianity was.
- 50:29And I don't think you get a Gold Star in your chart for just
- 50:32obeying the basic agreement of both covenants.
- 50:37It's wild to me. Like, yeah, the Bible's true.
- 50:41Jesus is Lord. That's my wife.
- 50:43I'm going to be faithful to my covenants.
- 50:46I don't burn me to the ground, cancel me, cut me off, whatever.
- 50:52I'll be in the woods with my grandkids.
- 50:54Having a blast. Having a blast.
- 50:56I can't wait to stand before Jesus.
- 50:59I look forward to it. And at the end of the day, you
- 51:02are who your kids and grandkids say you are.
- 51:05And it doesn't matter what anyone says who your kid, your
- 51:10wife, your kids, your grandkids, they're your resume and they
- 51:14will know who you are. And who they say you are is who
- 51:18you are. And so you can have glowing
- 51:20reviews and best selling books and tour the world.
- 51:24And if your kids hate you and your wife is disappointed in
- 51:27you, then that's who you are. Bro, I remember when we both
- 51:34were in actually 9, I was getting asked to travel more and
- 51:37more and more and more. I finally said that on the board
- 51:39and I was like, guys, you realize all these conferences
- 51:42are full of the same men giving the same talk about how awesome
- 51:46their church plan is and their churches suck.
- 51:49Their town doesn't even know they're there.
- 51:50Nothing's happening there, but they're rock stars on the road.
- 51:53And what hit me, this isn't meant to be critical to any
- 51:56particular because there's some good men there too.
- 51:58But what hit me was it's easy to be a rock star on the road.
- 52:02It takes a dude to be a rock star at home.
- 52:04Got to be humble. You got to serve, you got to
- 52:06show up, you got to be consistent.
- 52:07You got to repent, you got to deal with your actual
- 52:09shortcomings. You can't just always put
- 52:11forward yourself as a hero in a, in a, in a, in a manicured
- 52:15curated 45 minute talk that you give.
- 52:18And I'm telling you what, it is really easy.
- 52:20Conferences are mirages in the desert.
- 52:23That's right. You go there, it feels like a
- 52:25thing and it doesn't exist. It just goes away because it's
- 52:28easy to talk about how to keep your water green in every other
- 52:31state than the state you actually live in, which is why
- 52:34what we're doing in Washington state is like, well, I could
- 52:36move, I guess, but at some point the fight's going to find you.
- 52:40And you got to you got to stand it somewhere.
- 52:42And So what I've been telling men is like, well, just gets
- 52:47into the maybe you want to get into the.
- 52:48Yeah, that's. Where I want to go is Washington
- 52:50State. Yeah, you know, let's talk about
- 52:51it. I mean, we have.
- 52:52Determined. Determined to get to the bottom
- 52:55of the septic tank. Yeah, yeah.
- 52:57Well, yeah, that's exactly right.
- 52:59Like not just not just floating digging.
- 53:01Yeah, like get to the bottom intentionally scuba diving to
- 53:03the bottom of the septic. Tank and every category from law
- 53:06enforcement to economics to safety, to education, ethics,
- 53:11you go down the line right, my buddy Adam, we can have a show.
- 53:14Maybe you can talk about it, but the point being is as I as I'm
- 53:18watching unfold, people say politics, no matter.
- 53:20No, they absolutely matter. It's statistically proven in red
- 53:22states, churches grow, churches thrive.
- 53:24Evangelism rates are, are wildly high in blue states.
- 53:28Everything's choking, everything's dying because blue
- 53:30states are becoming more and more synonymous with demonic
- 53:33strongholds. Well they're anti heterosexual
- 53:37marriage. Life.
- 53:39Christian family and life. And so it's like you're going
- 53:43to, you're going to discourage marriage, you're going to
- 53:45mediate children, you're going to brainwash them in a
- 53:47government school and anybody who works, you're going to tax
- 53:52them and take money to fund that.
- 53:54Yeah. And it's like, well, how did how
- 53:55then do you get married and have 4 kids and mom stay home with
- 53:59the kids when you can't afford to live there?
- 54:02It just becomes economically unviable.
- 54:05That's right. So we want.
- 54:06You can believe in Jesus. You also need to believe in
- 54:08math. Yeah, that's that's exactly
- 54:10right. We want to build a family cap of
- 54:12the world. And it hit me probably 3 years
- 54:14ago that we can't build a family cap of the world if families
- 54:17can't afford to live here. Economics matter to families.
- 54:21If you can't buy a home, if you can't get a job, if you can't
- 54:24cover basic. How much is property taxes here?
- 54:27Oh, there. Let's say you buy.
- 54:28You know homes are expensive. Let's say you buy it on what,
- 54:31six $800,000 home? Which year is a house?
- 54:34Which here's a very small house. I mean the medium price of a
- 54:37home in Wenatchee used to be I can remember is like like 222.
- 54:40And you're a small town, like 40,000 people. 35,000 in
- 54:43Wenatchee median house prices like like north of 500 five,
- 54:475600 and we're talking like small cracker box house and
- 54:50we're not building new houses. By the way, all the houses we're
- 54:52building are in Chelan and they're like $10 million money
- 54:55coming from Seattle. We're not building.
- 54:57How much is taxes on a $600,000 home?
- 55:00Property taxes. Oh, I mean it could depend on
- 55:02what county you're in. It could be 12/14/16 thousand.
- 55:05Bucks. Oh my gosh.
- 55:06Some people's property taxes are more their mortgage than their
- 55:08mortgage. And that means you actually
- 55:09don't own your home, you're renting it back from the
- 55:11government. And you're funding the objective
- 55:15wickedness. So when when they threw the tea
- 55:18in the harbor, the Boston, the Boston Tea Party, they were
- 55:21protesting 3 or 4% tax that was funding the King's parties,
- 55:28whatever we're funding objectively statewide wickedness
- 55:34at every level. And and my challenge to men is
- 55:38like, if you haven't had a moral dilemma in paying your taxes,
- 55:42you're not paying attention. This isn't just so I'm not just
- 55:45some libertarian going, oh, I hate taxes.
- 55:47Like, no, I understand government necessity for
- 55:49infrastructure, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 55:51But when you when we shift from rugged individualism to the
- 55:55warmth of collectivism, we are moving into a socialistic
- 55:58communist society that has never worked anywhere in the history
- 56:02of humanity to bring about the flourishing of anybody except
- 56:06for the few, the top running, the whole thing.
- 56:08And so for us, what I've seen in Washington state is at every
- 56:11level the state policies are working against and making it
- 56:16impossible for men and women to obey the first commandment given
- 56:21in the Bible, which is to be fruitful, multiply and fill the
- 56:23earth and subdue it. And so I'm looking at going,
- 56:26this is a moral, ethical, biblical war where the
- 56:30government that's over me is acting like a God rather than
- 56:34submitting themselves to God. Therefore, as a man representing
- 56:38God, I have to stay. Civil disobedience.
- 56:41That's right. But we're, we're, yeah, we're,
- 56:43we've been, we're in that and we're in some ways moving past
- 56:47that. It's like, it's like, well,
- 56:48what's next? And I won't say names or even
- 56:51say out loud what they're saying, but good men in this
- 56:55state that people's would recognize the name of ours are
- 56:58are floating questions in closed doors that do we need to
- 57:06consider XYZ? I mean, like, is this where
- 57:09we're at? Saying things that you read
- 57:10about in history books, not that you ever thought would happen in
- 57:13your lifetime Because they see the road that we're on.
- 57:16We are. We are as a state.
- 57:18We are not drifting toward. We are Mach 10 moving toward a
- 57:23failed state. They just passed the income tax
- 57:26in the Senate I believe moving to the House representatives
- 57:29now. If it passes, it's called.
- 57:31Seattle will be the most taxed city in America above New York.
- 57:34Oh, it's not even close. I mean, they tax you everywhere
- 57:37you turn, and the income tax is designed to tax unrealized gains
- 57:41in stocks and house value. So think about that.
- 57:45It's, it's, it's, it's absolute highway robbery.
- 57:47You might someday profit, so we will make sure we get our
- 57:51portion today whether or not you ever profit.
- 57:54Well, you get the upside, but you don't get the downside.
- 57:55You buy a house for 200 grand, they will drive by because we we
- 57:59do drive by assessments here. They drive by wave their wand.
- 58:02It's worth six 600,000 now says who?
- 58:06Says the guy that drove by in the car looking at your house
- 58:08from the street. So now there's a $400,000
- 58:11difference between what you paid for it and what they say it's
- 58:13worth. They're going to call that
- 58:15unrealized gains. That's equity that no one ever
- 58:18touches or has. Access to.
- 58:20You don't have the. Cash, the market hasn't proven
- 58:22it. We're just saying it's worth
- 58:24that. They're going to tax that now at
- 58:26a rate maybe it's 1520 thousand bucks that you owe to the state.
- 58:29Where do you get that money? Nobody has $20,000 laying
- 58:32around. And so and so now you have you
- 58:34got to sell the home. Now people are going into
- 58:36foreclosure and selling their home statewide.
- 58:40The state, the state fails. Well, I'm like that's happening
- 58:42right now and these idiots think this is a good idea and and and
- 58:46it just. You don't own homes.
- 58:49It's just mind boggling. And so when you're in a blue
- 58:51state, you realize, OK, here's the deal.
- 58:54And, and, and I have very good men in my church who've left
- 58:58Washington state who I love dearly. 1 was a business
- 59:00partner. He's in Wyoming now building
- 59:02homes. I love him to death.
- 59:04And he just in tears. He's like Josh, I, I can't do it
- 59:07anymore. You know, I'm a fighter.
- 59:09You know, I stand with you. I don't know who to fight.
- 59:12This is a nameless, faceless bureaucracy that bends me over
- 59:16over every day with, with, with a broom handle.
- 59:18And I get the broom handle treatment.
- 59:19I don't like that. And here's the thing, Mark, I
- 59:21don't hold it against that man for moving because I've called
- 59:23my men to be stronger men. And if they have nothing to
- 59:26fight, I shouldn't expect them to bend over and take it.
- 59:28Everybody that's not being a stronger man, that's being that.
- 59:30That's being a a, a, a, a a a bitch for a guy in a jail.
- 59:35So when they move, I don't hold it against them.
- 59:37What I'm trying to do as a pastor is find ways to give men
- 59:40to fight because if they can't fight, they'll leave because
- 59:43they're good men. And you realize policies in blue
- 59:46states are designed to push the strong men out so only the weak
- 59:51stay and they can be controlled. And the biggest export, Adam
- 59:53told me last week, the big export of Washington that used
- 59:56to this is a nuclear state. This is an aeronautic state.
- 59:58This is a technology state. This is a timber state.
- 1:00:01This is agricultural state. This is a farming state.
- 1:00:03This is a, we have a, what do you call it, a port state.
- 1:00:07We should be leading the the country, right?
- 1:00:09This is state that's bleeding our biggest export Conservative
- 1:00:13voters. And if we as a church won't
- 1:00:14figure out a way to plug that hole, we won't have the people
- 1:00:17we need to turn the ship. So we are in a decisively
- 1:00:20engaged do or die moment as the church in Washington and more
- 1:00:24passage in blue states need to wake up.
- 1:00:26That's happening in your in your state, too.
- 1:00:28I've had no less than 15 men in the last six weeks in the sacred
- 1:00:32assembly. We've been calling him in to
- 1:00:34stay, dig in, find the high ground, build a community, lock
- 1:00:38in and make war. 15 men, Count me in tears in your eyes.
- 1:00:42I had taken a job. I had bought property.
- 1:00:45It's Idaho, Arizona, Texas. That's where I plant churches.
- 1:00:48That's where all my guys go. I had property.
- 1:00:50I had jobs. God convicted me.
- 1:00:52I'm staying. What's the plan?
- 1:00:55So good men will stay if they have a battle plan to engage in,
- 1:00:58But if Patricks aren't giving them a way to fight, the best
- 1:01:01men are going to leave. And I'm telling you, I'm telling
- 1:01:03you, this isn't prophetic business math.
- 1:01:05The clock is ticking on when you're going to close the doors
- 1:01:09of your church because there'll be nobody there left.
- 1:01:12Yeah, sorry. Well, and, and in that too, like
- 1:01:14I'm in the life stage now, like, you know, Landon's, you know, my
- 1:01:17son-in-law. And I'm all I think about is the
- 1:01:20kids and the grandkids. That's right.
- 1:01:22Like how is your family going to thrive?
- 1:01:24And, and your son, who's my best friend, you know, with my whole
- 1:01:29heart, like what's it going to be like for him when he goes in
- 1:01:3320 years or whatever it is to, to get married?
- 1:01:35And that's right, start his family.
- 1:01:37Like where, where is it going to?
- 1:01:39Because if it's, if it's intolerable now, give it 20
- 1:01:43years. Unlivable, unlivable.
- 1:01:46And, and here's the thing, bro, if we don't, if the church
- 1:01:49doesn't engage aggressively in the public square, and by public
- 1:01:53square, I mean politics, if the church doesn't engage
- 1:01:57aggressively and take back their role as a part of God's
- 1:02:03conscience and bringing dominion to the earth over government, if
- 1:02:06they don't step in aggressively in the ballot, we're going to be
- 1:02:11forced to be considering taking measures with bullets.
- 1:02:14That's not a threat. That's history.
- 1:02:17That's, that's, that's how these things work.
- 1:02:19Better men than us have had hard decisions saying we read about
- 1:02:23them in books, we watch their movies.
- 1:02:25Isn't this great? I've had, I've had a pit in my
- 1:02:28stomach last two years. Is this what Jefferson felt
- 1:02:30like? Is this what George Washington
- 1:02:32felt like? Is it where these men realize if
- 1:02:34we don't take action that will probably end in our physical
- 1:02:39demise and death, We will have nothing left to hand to our
- 1:02:42grandkids. And then we're going to violate
- 1:02:44the basic rule of the Bible, which is doing to others as you
- 1:02:47have them doing to you. And I'm pretty sure that we
- 1:02:49don't want others to leave it worse than they found it for us
- 1:02:51when we get there. And so for me, like 1 of the
- 1:02:54basic rules that we teach our kids at the school, my kids is
- 1:02:57leave everything better than you found it.
- 1:02:58My dad taught me that when I was a kid.
- 1:03:00You borrow something, man, you're giving it back in twice
- 1:03:02the shape. You borrow a car, it's car wash
- 1:03:05inside out, full tank of gas tire air in the tire is full.
- 1:03:10You give back a better car that that was my dad.
- 1:03:13To this day, if I borrow someone's cabin, it gets a full
- 1:03:16cleaning. Kitchen, bathrooms, living room.
- 1:03:19I take pictures of the rooms to show what how we left it because
- 1:03:21I just had this thing in me. I would never want someone to
- 1:03:24think that they gave me something to steward for a
- 1:03:27weekend. You don't hear a funny fear.
- 1:03:29I'm afraid that I'll borrow a friend's cabin.
- 1:03:32I'll tell your dad. No, I'll, I'll leave it clean.
- 1:03:34Someone will come in between me and when they go there again and
- 1:03:37trash it, and they'll think that was me.
- 1:03:38I just this thing, this thing in my head.
- 1:03:40That's a great principle to teach a kid.
- 1:03:42How about a grown man in his community?
- 1:03:45How about a grown man in his state?
- 1:03:47How about a grown ass man in his nation?
- 1:03:50But part of it is pastors need to be pointing their fingers in
- 1:03:52the chest of men. Will you leave this nation
- 1:03:57better than you found it? And that's not the trajectory
- 1:03:59we're on right now. And you, you've been spending a
- 1:04:01lot of time in DC. You're you're one of those
- 1:04:03pastors making a difference. You've got a great man in your
- 1:04:07church, Adam James. I think this is a good
- 1:04:09transition in our last and I know we don't say that past.
- 1:04:11Yeah, Segway, Segway. Pivot.
- 1:04:14We don't transition. No one's transitioning here, but
- 1:04:17very clear. But I think you have a big
- 1:04:19announcement you want to share online, maybe an invite.
- 1:04:22So let's in our final like 5-10 ten minutes.
- 1:04:25Awesome. Let's jump into that.
- 1:04:27So I'll bow out and Adam James will take my seat.
- 1:04:29Awesome. Thanks, Pastor Landon.
- 1:04:32So one thing I'll, I'll, I'll give an invite some buddies in
- 1:04:35my are are are hosting an event at the Museum of the Bible in
- 1:04:40DC. Which is fantastic.
- 1:04:41It's an awesome it's not been it's cool.
- 1:04:43Yeah, the green family incredible.
- 1:04:44It's a great job. It's in a it's a world class
- 1:04:46Smithsonian Gray museum. We'll be up in their ballroom on
- 1:04:50the top floor after hours so you can night museum kind of fun.
- 1:04:53And we're going to be rolling out what we believe God's given
- 1:04:56us has a divine strategy to help engage.
- 1:04:59Because there are some pastors who aren't engaged politically
- 1:05:02because they're cowards. But there are a lot of other
- 1:05:06pastors who who are not engaged in because they don't know what
- 1:05:10to do. They don't have the on round.
- 1:05:12Yeah. And so some are cowards, some
- 1:05:13are compromised, and then some are just like.
- 1:05:15Clueless. Clueless I would do something,
- 1:05:18but I don't know what to do. And so it it it's those men that
- 1:05:22that we're inviting to this event and we're just kind of
- 1:05:25rolling out in fun event in DC at the Museum of the Bible
- 1:05:28dinner on me and we're just going to be might have some cool
- 1:05:31guests. Got to be kind of cryptic here
- 1:05:33on that. But we're going to roll out to
- 1:05:38these men what we're doing. We've partnered with for liberty
- 1:05:40and justice Nate Schatzline Texas State Rep 2 terms Adam, it
- 1:05:45was a 2 terms. He's in his third.
- 1:05:47If you've heard any news coming out of Texas that encouraged
- 1:05:50you, destroying DEIA, hardening the border, getting 10
- 1:05:54commandments back in public schools, getting prayer back in
- 1:05:57public schools, getting school choice statewide, all of that's
- 1:06:00Nate Schatzline. This, this guy's an animal.
- 1:06:02It's legislation, legislation he wrote, legislation he sponsored.
- 1:06:06He's a good dude. They started for liberty and
- 1:06:09justice, mercy, culture, land and shot.
- 1:06:11It was basically giving churches a way to get involved
- 1:06:14politically. You buy a house across from the
- 1:06:16state capital. You fill it with prayer and
- 1:06:18worship. You start taking the presence of
- 1:06:19God to the people's house. Here in Washington state,
- 1:06:23Olympia is our capital. We've been going to Olympia now
- 1:06:27for a couple. Adam's been there multiple
- 1:06:28times. And what hit me was the reason
- 1:06:31the Spirit of God isn't in Olympia is because God's people
- 1:06:35aren't in Olympia. Christianity isn't like this
- 1:06:37osmosis magic spell. You pray over something out
- 1:06:40there that gets cast on something.
- 1:06:42The Spirit of God goes where the people of God are.
- 1:06:43If we're filled with the Spirit of God, we can take him there
- 1:06:45when we go there. And there are a few Christians
- 1:06:48fighting, fighting valiantly. But by and large, it's godless
- 1:06:52people in our state capitol putting forth godless
- 1:06:56legislation that hurts people. And so we came under the
- 1:07:00conviction that we can't tell people to go there if we're not
- 1:07:04willing to go there ourself. And so God just kind of gave us
- 1:07:07a divine strategy. And we're not publishing this
- 1:07:09for a couple weeks, I think because as of this recording,
- 1:07:11our church doesn't know yet. But when this comes out, our
- 1:07:13church will know. We're announcing it in a week
- 1:07:15and a half. But God gave me a vision while I
- 1:07:18was talking with Nate Schatzline about how to start a chapter in
- 1:07:21every state. And honestly, guys, if you're
- 1:07:23listening to your pastor, I'd love to reach out to you.
- 1:07:25We'll maybe drop an e-mail in the comments.
- 1:07:27Landon, they can e-mail if you'd like to come to DC March 11th.
- 1:07:30It's a, it's invite only, limited registration for our
- 1:07:34event at the Museum of the Bible where I'm going to be talking
- 1:07:36about how we're rolling. You can roll this out in your
- 1:07:38church. I'd love to have you e-mail me.
- 1:07:40We'll, we'll try and see if we can get you on the schedule.
- 1:07:42If we have more demand, we may do some more in the future.
- 1:07:44Who knows? But God gave me a vision.
- 1:07:47Talking with Nick Schatzline for Liberty and justice.
- 1:07:49They flipped 111 elections in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
- 1:07:53A remarkable step by Churches can roll out where you train,
- 1:07:57equip and then vet politicians, Christians to go into the
- 1:08:00political public square, to go into the political environment
- 1:08:03trained and equipped in the gospel and the good news and
- 1:08:06biblical principles equipped how to win.
- 1:08:08And then you start bringing the word of God back in the public
- 1:08:10square. God gave me vision.
- 1:08:12I walked into Kyle strong Javas and I I said, this is going to
- 1:08:14happen. He's like, oh, you think so?
- 1:08:16I said, it's going to happen. Three nights later, you know the
- 1:08:18story. After a sacred assembly, God
- 1:08:20gave him a prophetic dream. He woke up next morning, sent us
- 1:08:23a text and now we're in it. And so part of the divine
- 1:08:26strategy is what's happening now.
- 1:08:28And I'll hand it off to my buddy here, Adam James, the most
- 1:08:30respected man I know, the best pastor I know.
- 1:08:32I've never met a pastor better than Adam James filled the
- 1:08:35spirit, charismatic, teaches the Bible people person, shepherd,
- 1:08:39fearless, courageous, step into conflict, call balls and strikes
- 1:08:42has been my wingman as my number two guy since we started
- 1:08:45planting Grace City with us 18 years into this thing.
- 1:08:48Faithful, godly, godly wife, godly family, godly man and and
- 1:08:54our play is this. I'm running to represent the
- 1:09:00Americans of the 12th District for the Washington State House
- 1:09:04of Representatives. Let's go.
- 1:09:07Pretty awesome. So the the the play is every
- 1:09:10church need to find their best man instead of the darkest place
- 1:09:13in your state. I they can tell pastors rise up
- 1:09:16and step back in the public square.
- 1:09:17Just hoping some guy finds enough gumption in your church
- 1:09:20to do it and do it isn't going to help the Johnson amendment.
- 1:09:23POTUS has removed the teeth of that.
- 1:09:24I'm going to freaking wear a James for for Washington shirt
- 1:09:27in the pulpit every Sunday for four months.
- 1:09:29Can't touch me. President Trump, thanks to the
- 1:09:31God for all you pastors out there that criticize him and and
- 1:09:35tell him to take down his non racist racist accidental tweets
- 1:09:39because you're you're morons and have no discernment about the
- 1:09:41man in his heart. For all you who are gripe about
- 1:09:43him, he has done more for you and your religious freedom and
- 1:09:47your ability to be a pastor than any president in my lifetime.
- 1:09:50The Johnson Amendment's teeth has been removed.
- 1:09:52IRS employees that were hired to harass churches and Christian
- 1:09:56colleges and pastors have been fired.
- 1:09:58You are free to speak plainly and clearly and freely about
- 1:10:04Jesus and politics as much as you want, and he's asking for
- 1:10:07it. POTUS has said very clearly,
- 1:10:10it's not my job to turn our nation around because our
- 1:10:12prominent political it's spiritual, it's the church's
- 1:10:15job, It's the pastor's job. He's inviting more pastors in
- 1:10:17the White House than any president on record.
- 1:10:19He wants pastors there not for a photo shoot.
- 1:10:22He wants pastors there to speak into the policy of his
- 1:10:25administration, what's wrong, what's happening.
- 1:10:28He has a fundamental conviction that churches do better work in
- 1:10:31communities than state than the state does.
- 1:10:33He wants to give money, resources, responsibility back
- 1:10:37to the jurisdiction of the family in the church.
- 1:10:40I've never seen a politician that wants to so aggressively
- 1:10:43shrink the government's footprint so as to strengthen
- 1:10:47the church and family footprint. And that's what we have in this
- 1:10:49window of time with this particular president.
- 1:10:51And I'm all in for it to help. However I can invite as many
- 1:10:55pastors in to step through this window of grace that God's given
- 1:10:58us because it'll close quickly. And if it closes and we missed
- 1:11:01it, it may not open again, and we'll have ourselves to blame
- 1:11:03alone. It's not President Trump's job
- 1:11:06to fix our country because fundamentally it's broken at a
- 1:11:08spiritual level. And he and he agrees with it.
- 1:11:11So he's doing the deals and the things and trying to get us
- 1:11:14strong economically, but he's looking at pastors going.
- 1:11:17I want to, I want to make your job as easy as possible so you
- 1:11:20can do it with courage and gusto and gumption and win our nation
- 1:11:24back to God. The guy's calling for a entire
- 1:11:27day of celebration on May 17th to rededicate our country back
- 1:11:29to God. Who, who does that?
- 1:11:33This, this is wild. I think you're going to be
- 1:11:34there. I'm probably going to be there.
- 1:11:36Like I'm preaching at 9:00 AM. Mark, May 17th, put it on your
- 1:11:39calendar that they want a million people there celebrating
- 1:11:42that our nation, it's incredible.
- 1:11:45So we've talked about we're celebrating our 5th, 50th.
- 1:11:49This is this is America's fifth jubilee and this is a win.
- 1:11:52It's a window of destiny, men. So if you're a pastor, that's if
- 1:11:55you're listening to me and you're like, that guy is such a
- 1:11:57racist idiot, no problem. But if you're listening to this
- 1:12:00going like I want to be a part of that, I want to step into
- 1:12:02that man. I don't know how we do this
- 1:12:04Landon. We put an e-mail in the comments
- 1:12:05or something. We'll find a way the guys can
- 1:12:07reach out. OK, send me an e-mail.
- 1:12:08My team will put you on the list and we'll reach out to you.
- 1:12:10Because I fundamentally believe that there is an army of armor
- 1:12:14bearers out there who are ready to follow the prophetic Jonathan
- 1:12:17up the hill to kick the enemies. You know what?
- 1:12:19And that's the window of time we're in.
- 1:12:20So Adam real quick do we got time for him to share a 2 minute
- 1:12:25blurb of what he wants to do? Well, I just want to begin by
- 1:12:27honestly telling thank you to Pastor Mark and you, Pastor
- 1:12:30Josh. I mean, you guys are literally
- 1:12:32the generals of this generation that we need.
- 1:12:35And so for all the other men who have watched and listened to
- 1:12:37your Bible teaching, you're following the the things that
- 1:12:39you've spoken to boldly from the pulpit.
- 1:12:41That's exactly what is needed across this nation.
- 1:12:44And so may your tribe increase. And and and we're following your
- 1:12:47lead. I've been following your guys's
- 1:12:48lead. So I just want to say thank you,
- 1:12:49honor both of you men for the voices you have and how you've
- 1:12:51used them. Yeah.
- 1:12:52And it's been, it's been incredible.
- 1:12:53So I mean, as as I look at where you're saying there's gonna be
- 1:12:56no righteous change in the state of Washington or anywhere if the
- 1:12:59people of God don't go. Yeah.
- 1:13:00And you know, God has raised up godly men and women from
- 1:13:04business world in past times. But it is like the hours late,
- 1:13:07the hour is dark. It is now men and women
- 1:13:10literally from the church filled with the Holy Spirit.
- 1:13:12It is time for the church to go or the state dies.
- 1:13:15And so if we surrender the high places and don't enter the gates
- 1:13:19of the nobles, then quite literally we're choosing
- 1:13:22judgement and destruction. And we've been on that path
- 1:13:24under horrific, abysmal policies that are terrible principles
- 1:13:30that are backed by principalities.
- 1:13:32That's the reality. It's not political, it's
- 1:13:33spiritual principalities behind principles, principles, Dr.
- 1:13:36policies. And we're literally running off
- 1:13:38the Cliff and we're driving out good people, we're choking out
- 1:13:41families, we're trampling business.
- 1:13:42And, and all the issues that are wrong in the state of
- 1:13:45Washington, along with other states, blue states in the
- 1:13:49Union, they are fundamentally, without question moral and
- 1:13:53spiritual issues. At the root, and that's the
- 1:13:55core. That's right.
- 1:13:56And so we can engage on on the level of the political wisdom of
- 1:14:01the policies and look at the statistics and look at the
- 1:14:03reality of what it's producing. And there's no question the
- 1:14:06state of Washington is heading in the wrong direction rapidly
- 1:14:10and it's destroying families, it's destroying businesses.
- 1:14:13This isn't it. I've lived here in the state of
- 1:14:16Washington my entire life. Born and raised, small town,
- 1:14:20hometown kid in the center of the state.
- 1:14:22Both of my families on my grandparents side came to
- 1:14:25Washington state to start families, new opportunities,
- 1:14:29jobs to to grow life. And now they are being driven
- 1:14:32out because they were successful.
- 1:14:34We have an amazing state, incredible natural resources.
- 1:14:37Your your uncle. We we, we LED in the war effort.
- 1:14:40You know, Hanford, the hydroelectric dams, the aluminum
- 1:14:42production that built the planes to win the war.
- 1:14:44Washington state was leading the Union.
- 1:14:46We have so many natural resources and opportunity here.
- 1:14:50The government is literally trampling the beef.
- 1:14:53Fruitful prosperity choking it out.
- 1:14:58What needs to be unlocked again? Washington state should be
- 1:15:00leading in every way. Family should want to be coming
- 1:15:03here. It should be the family capital
- 1:15:05world. And it is.
- 1:15:05It's going to be where we got a lot of work to do.
- 1:15:07And if the church doesn't step up and lead like that's the
- 1:15:11thing for me is, is going. We have to look in the mirror.
- 1:15:14Yeah, that's right. We've held the gate open for
- 1:15:17evil to advance. I've been in these rooms over
- 1:15:20the last year looking where are the leaders that God's raising
- 1:15:22up in politics, in business, in the church, Where are the
- 1:15:25leaders? And Olympia or your state
- 1:15:28capital, wherever you're watching this from, is a
- 1:15:30reflection of who we've sent there or who we haven't sent
- 1:15:34there. That's right.
- 1:15:35And the quality of leaders and of servants, public servants
- 1:15:38talk about for me, it's like, do you love your neighbor?
- 1:15:42Then you can't be absent and silent the way the church has
- 1:15:46been for generations, for generation now in Washington
- 1:15:49state. AWOL Mia It's inexcusable.
- 1:15:52And the pastor's not calling their people to action or men
- 1:15:55and women not seriously considering is God calling me?
- 1:15:57Is the Holy Spirit calling me to enter the arena?
- 1:16:00Because if the Spirit of God is reviving the church when he
- 1:16:03does, and I believe that's happening all over this nation,
- 1:16:05I do I believe we are seeing a work of the Holy Spirit reviving
- 1:16:08the church. It is intended to lead to public
- 1:16:13and social reformation on the foundation of biblical
- 1:16:17principles that are that are American principles that are
- 1:16:20constitutional principles that flow from a biblical worldview
- 1:16:24design that provide the flourishing and prosperity and
- 1:16:28freedom of all people. You don't even have to love
- 1:16:32Jesus to live under the blessing of the shade of the tree that
- 1:16:36his truth provides. And so if we truly love our
- 1:16:39neighbor, we have to stand up, speak up, show up.
- 1:16:41It's time for the church to go over.
- 1:16:42The state dies. Well, in the state that the stat
- 1:16:45that is so discouraging and incriminating is less than 30%
- 1:16:50of average American churchgoers are even registered to vote.
- 1:16:53We have the votes in the church, both in Washington and the
- 1:16:56nation to turn the tide. So when you live in a
- 1:16:58constitutional Republic, you have no one to blame but
- 1:17:01yourself. But if you're a shepherd, your
- 1:17:03flock follows you. Yep.
- 1:17:07And if you're not going anywhere?
- 1:17:09That's right. Well, here's the hack with that.
- 1:17:12If guys want to come to DC, what we're going to give me a divine
- 1:17:15strategy. God's given us.
- 1:17:16It hit me when let's talk about the good hearted Christians who
- 1:17:21don't know what to do. They look at a ballot.
- 1:17:23They're like, I don't know these people.
- 1:17:25I don't want to actually vote for some guy who's an idiot.
- 1:17:27I'm reading a little commercial blurb in the in the I mean.
- 1:17:30It's all propaganda. It's all propaganda.
- 1:17:31So I voted for 25 years in, in, in, in this state.
- 1:17:35And I would always call Clyde Ballard, Sean Ballard, 'cause
- 1:17:37they knew everybody in politics who is this guy?
- 1:17:39What's this initiative? And in Washington they were,
- 1:17:42they word the initiative so hard.
- 1:17:43Oh, yeah. They're like you're, you're
- 1:17:44like, I know what I don't want to vote for and I'm.
- 1:17:47Not like in flourishing abortion campaign.
- 1:17:51OK, totally, totally. And then it's like double
- 1:17:52negatives and they flip it and you're like, what am I voting
- 1:17:55for? I mean, they, they took, they're
- 1:17:57taking straw polls like in the earth side of, of, of elections.
- 1:18:00And it's like there's a large percentage of people that didn't
- 1:18:03actually vote for what they wanted to vote for because they
- 1:18:05could understand the language. It's all designed that way,
- 1:18:07right? And so election integrity is a
- 1:18:09big thing. But but what I realized was, and
- 1:18:12we haven't told our church yet. So as of this recording, when
- 1:18:14this airs, we'll have told them. Here's my prophetic prediction
- 1:18:18when we take this to our church and announced that Adam James,
- 1:18:21probably the best man they know, is stepping up making massive
- 1:18:25family SAC rice when we're moving in houses for safety.
- 1:18:28Got to go from a nice rural town to the state capitol.
- 1:18:32Bro Olympia, we've been there. The, the, the, the Realtors who
- 1:18:35are who, who we met to just walk around the town.
- 1:18:38They're like, it's dark. Like we don't say we're
- 1:18:40Christians. We got to keep our head down.
- 1:18:42If we want our business to thrive, we have to modify what
- 1:18:46we say and, and be measured or we'll just be persecuted.
- 1:18:50When we leave our city to go to visit our kids in Idaho, there's
- 1:18:53a felt lift of a, of a darkness When we hit the city limits.
- 1:18:56It's a dark, dark place, right? So when we tell our church that
- 1:18:59we're saying the best man they know in the darkest place in our
- 1:19:02state, that's the nuclear center causing all of our pain, they're
- 1:19:05going to lose their mind 10 minutes to an ovation, crying,
- 1:19:09cheering, handing in babies to hug and kiss.
- 1:19:11It's, it's like they're going to be activated because all of a
- 1:19:14sudden they know this man and they, they can get behind him
- 1:19:17and all of a sudden your church is engaged.
- 1:19:19And so I've been telling pastors is like, here's the deal.
- 1:19:22Pick your best man and send him into a school board race into a
- 1:19:27county commissioner race, into a mayoral mayoral race into the,
- 1:19:31the City Council, get him engaged.
- 1:19:34And that will have the Starbucks effect nationally.
- 1:19:37And what I mean is when Starbucks started buying stores
- 1:19:41and and playing stores, all the kind of independent coffee shops
- 1:19:43in Washington panicked. They're like, Starbucks came,
- 1:19:47came in across the street, I'm going to go out of business.
- 1:19:49Just the opposite happened. Their business increased because
- 1:19:52when Starbucks moved into town, everyone's interest in coffee
- 1:19:55went up. Same thing.
- 1:19:57I think it happened politically. We're not sending him into an
- 1:20:00into a federal race, but I believe us sending Adam into a
- 1:20:03state representative race is going to affect the outcome of
- 1:20:05the midterms because now more people, my church, are activated
- 1:20:09and engaged politically at every level.
- 1:20:11OK, it's easy to get people activated for national stuff.
- 1:20:14For some reason it's hard to get people activated at a local
- 1:20:18level, and that's where actually counts.
- 1:20:20The things you can do in a city and a county and a state are
- 1:20:23crazy if you just get involved. And I realized we're busy and
- 1:20:26got kids and they had time. So I'm in a season of life where
- 1:20:28I'm like, OK, and my son just bought a house.
- 1:20:31I just got my daughter and I was I got two more kids who want to
- 1:20:33buy a house. If we stay on this trajectory,
- 1:20:36it's the most expensive housing in the state.
- 1:20:37It's the worst state to get a first home.
- 1:20:39If I don't take action as a 46 year old to make drastic change
- 1:20:43quickly, my kids have no future here.
- 1:20:45So that's the seed of life I'm in.
- 1:20:46That's where I'm going. You want to get involved, send
- 1:20:48an e-mail, DC Museum of the Bible, how to activate your your
- 1:20:52church, how to activate your state.
- 1:20:54We'll be there with Nate Schatzline and For Liberty and
- 1:20:56Justice showing you how to start a For Liberty and Justice
- 1:20:59chapter, how to participate in one.
- 1:21:01We're not asking to come and take a commercial and give us
- 1:21:04money. We want to give you a playbook
- 1:21:06to activate you to, to become a part of the Black Robe Regiment
- 1:21:10that I believe God is raising up across this nation to in this
- 1:21:13prophetic moment and window of destiny and grace, step through
- 1:21:17it decisively for change. Thank you for running Adam.
- 1:21:22He's a great man. I've known Adam a very long time
- 1:21:25and my strong encouragement, because you are a pastor and a
- 1:21:28Bible teacher, I've had to cover my pulpit.
- 1:21:31I would encourage pastors, give me your pulpit.
- 1:21:34Yes. If you don't have the courage or
- 1:21:36know exactly what to say, just give him the mic.
- 1:21:39Yep, he's a pastor. He's a Bible teacher.
- 1:21:42We'd both lay hands and send them right now.
- 1:21:44Yep, just let him do his thing. He's a pastor first, you're now
- 1:21:49public servant second, and this is part of your pastoral
- 1:21:53ministry and and it is shepherding beyond just a local
- 1:21:56flock, but an entire state. And so, yeah, I just, I feel
- 1:21:59like just saying for pastors as well, open up your pulpit, give
- 1:22:04this guy a shot and let him come preach and teach and get
- 1:22:07biblical worldview and do his thing.
- 1:22:09And then my hope and prayer would be that that would be a
- 1:22:12precedent where when good pastors would go into politics,
- 1:22:16then other pastors would open their pulpits and allow those
- 1:22:19men to sort of lead the charge. And, and recently, not to
- 1:22:23dominate the conversation, but we saw this with Marco Rubio on
- 1:22:26the international stage. You're just like, That was a
- 1:22:29brilliant articulation of a Christian biblical worldview
- 1:22:35that would be fantastic for every church to have preached.
- 1:22:38That's right. Yeah.
- 1:22:39He's a good man. He's a good man.
- 1:22:43Yeah. He, he, he loves the Lord.
- 1:22:44He's a man of principle. I've got to run into him.
- 1:22:48And he's genuine. He's a good, good man.
- 1:22:52We are. And, and one of POTUS's
- 1:22:54superpowers is he knows how to pull in a strong team first
- 1:22:58term. He took a lot of counsel from
- 1:23:00politicians and, and, and kind of laid his own playbook aside
- 1:23:04to kind of because he's actually getting very humble.
- 1:23:07I think God sees the humility of his heart and it's why it's
- 1:23:09honoring him. People lose their mind when I
- 1:23:10say that. Have your own opinion if you
- 1:23:12want. I've witnessed remarkable
- 1:23:14humility in the man. I think it's witnessed in his,
- 1:23:16in his, in his service. But because he's humble, he
- 1:23:20listened to politicians, laid his own playbook aside and and
- 1:23:23got their butt kicked. They learned their lesson, came
- 1:23:25back to second term and he's run his own playbook and he's
- 1:23:28brought remarkable people around him.
- 1:23:30And Christians should be encouraged.
- 1:23:32There are a lot of spirit filled, Jesus loving people who
- 1:23:35are working hard in the White House administration executive
- 1:23:38team to do good for our nation, so please continue praying for
- 1:23:42them. Midterms are hugely important.
- 1:23:44We don't win the midterms, it's just going to be law, fair and
- 1:23:47gridlock for two years. It'll be impeachment trials and
- 1:23:50circus monkey trials for two years, and all the good they're
- 1:23:54doing will grind to a stop. Only two presidents have won a
- 1:23:57midterm, and it was it was Roosevelt, World War 2, and Bush
- 1:24:02after 911. So if you want to be a miracle,
- 1:24:04and that's what I'm praying for, awesome.
- 1:24:05Josh, you want? To close your time.
- 1:24:07Prayer. I love to do it.
- 1:24:08Father in heaven we ask in Jesus name that you would give your
- 1:24:12church boldness and clarity in this hour of destiny.
- 1:24:15Father, for those who are cowering in The Cave, would you
- 1:24:18cause them to hear the sound of victory on the on the mount that
- 1:24:22God is waiting for them to come out of their cave and charge
- 1:24:24into the battle? Father for those who are not
- 1:24:27sure what to do may with this podcast would help or coming to
- 1:24:30DC to an event to hear about what other pastors are doing.
- 1:24:34Father, would you give my my brother favor as he goes into
- 1:24:36this race? We know in this scenario that
- 1:24:41winning is obedience, not necessarily winning the race.
- 1:24:44So we're stepping out on obedience.
- 1:24:45It's going to be a tough race. Who knows where it's going to
- 1:24:47go, but I'm grateful for his boldness and his courage that
- 1:24:50I'm praying will be an example for many pastors to come in the
- 1:24:53near future. Thank you for Pastor Mark and
- 1:24:55Pastor Landon for their relentless faithfulness and
- 1:24:58following you. Thank you for the model example
- 1:25:00they are to all of us. Lord, if there's been anything
- 1:25:02said from me in this podcast, it would be unhelpful.
- 1:25:05Or just strike it from people's mind and whatever has someone's
- 1:25:08name on it, drive it deep into their spirit to cause them to be
- 1:25:10encouraged and equipped for the ongoing work of making good
- 1:25:13battle. For Jesus sake, we love you
- 1:25:15Father, Amen. Hey guys, thanks for joining us
- 1:25:19for the Mark Driscoll Show today.
