- 0:00Speaker 1: This is seven tor Boy.
- 0:03Speaker 2: The Mark Simoon Show starts. Now, Hey, it's I know
- 0:09Speaker 2: it's been a little rain. It's about to stop. It's Monday.
- 0:12Speaker 2: We got a lot to get to. We'll get to
- 0:13Speaker 2: the latest on Iran, big developments there, We'll get to
- 0:18Speaker 2: the TSA. We'll get to lots of stuff to get
- 0:21Speaker 2: to today, we'll get to the Bachelorette and Robert Muller
- 0:25Speaker 2: and more so. LaGuardia Airport remains closed after that horrible
- 0:29Speaker 2: crash that took place late last night. A truck is
- 0:33Speaker 2: on the runway and collides with a plane. Now, when
- 0:38Speaker 2: you're when you're a big, big truck out there on
- 0:42Speaker 2: the runway, you're under the control of the air traffic controllers.
- 0:45Speaker 2: They don't just control the planes, that can control anything
- 0:48Speaker 2: that comes on the runway, and an air traffic controller.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Somebody screwed up something there and you can hear the
- 0:55Speaker 2: air traffic controllers screaming at the truck to stop, but
- 0:59Speaker 2: it was too late. Plane hit it and the front
- 1:01Speaker 2: of the plane completely crumbled, killing two pilots. Forty one
- 1:06Speaker 2: people were hospitalized on the plane as the plane just massive,
- 1:12Speaker 2: massive shaking and crashing and stewardess goes through the windows.
- 1:17Speaker 2: You know when they tell you when you land on
- 1:19Speaker 2: the runway and you're taxiing, they tell you to please
- 1:21Speaker 2: remain seated and keep your seat belt on. That's why
- 1:25Speaker 2: something like this could happen. That's why you keep your
- 1:28Speaker 2: seat belt on until you get to the gates. So
- 1:31Speaker 2: the interesting thing is this big Air Canada plane hits
- 1:35Speaker 2: the truck. The truck is absolutely fine. Front of the
- 1:39Speaker 2: plane completely crumbled. Now, the planes are made of a
- 1:44Speaker 2: flimsy or aluminum, whereas the truck is heavy steel. The
- 1:47Speaker 2: plane is made to be very very light to fly
- 1:50Speaker 2: in the air, so it's very thin. It's kind of
- 1:53Speaker 2: frightening when you see how quickly that whole front crumbled. Well,
- 1:56Speaker 2: the truck was just fine. But they're attempting to clean
- 2:00Speaker 2: this up. It's going to be a while. The airport
- 2:02Speaker 2: will not open until at least two o'clock, so figure
- 2:06Speaker 2: five o'clock. The National Transportation Safety Board is there investigating
- 2:11Speaker 2: the crash. This will be a while. So all flights
- 2:15Speaker 2: canceled at LaGuardia. If you were supposed to leave or
- 2:17Speaker 2: come back today, All flights canceled at LaGuardia and when
- 2:20Speaker 2: they do reopen late in the afternoon, it's going to
- 2:24Speaker 2: be a snarled up mass and that will continue probably
- 2:28Speaker 2: for forty eight hours until they get that straightened out.
- 2:30Speaker 2: That massive delays and backup and all of that. So
- 2:34Speaker 2: when they do get the airport reopen, you got the
- 2:38Speaker 2: original problem, which is the TSA, many of them not
- 2:41Speaker 2: showing up, many of them calling in sick. They haven't
- 2:43Speaker 2: been paid in weeks. The TSA agent's overwhelmed. Yesterday you
- 2:49Speaker 2: had reports of delays at airports all over the place
- 2:52Speaker 2: of up to four hours, people missing their planes from
- 2:56Speaker 2: being in the security line for four hours. Now, believe
- 2:59Speaker 2: it or not, there there's some airports, about twenty two
- 3:01Speaker 2: of them around the country that are not suffering in
- 3:04Speaker 2: this problem. And that's because long ago they decided to
- 3:07Speaker 2: contract out to private security instead of relying on the TSA.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Their private security contracts are all fine, everybody's getting paid.
- 3:17Speaker 2: So there are a bunch of airports, about twenty two
- 3:19Speaker 2: of them around the country with no problem at all.
- 3:23Speaker 2: So here's what's going to happen. The TSA will be
- 3:28Speaker 2: in the airports they've started coming in today, but there
- 3:31Speaker 2: will be more coming in. This is Transportation Secretary Duffie Boddy.
- 3:35Speaker 1: That's when the next paycheck should come.
- 3:37Speaker 3: And if this whole land security funding isn't resolved, I
- 3:41Speaker 3: think you're going to see more TSA agents as we
- 3:43Speaker 3: come to Thursday, Friday, Saturday of next week.
- 3:46Speaker 1: They're going to quit or they're not going to show.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Up, but more ICE agents are on the way.
- 3:50Speaker 3: We can bring in other assets and tools to assist
- 3:53Speaker 3: TSA to get rid of these lines.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I think that makes a lot of sense.
- 3:56Speaker 3: And the President's looking around every corner to make sure
- 3:59Speaker 3: the American people don't or doing the shutdown.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, one thing about the ICE Agency might say
- 4:04Speaker 2: that's kind of peculiar to send them into the air well. Actually,
- 4:07Speaker 2: most ICE agents the normal job of ICE is the
- 4:10Speaker 2: Southern border and they do check people, security checks on
- 4:14Speaker 2: people coming in over the border. They do inspect them,
- 4:18Speaker 2: frisk them. They're not up to date on the X
- 4:21Speaker 2: ray machines used in the airports, but that's not a problem.
- 4:25Speaker 2: ICE agents will do everything else, but they're used to
- 4:27Speaker 2: doing baggage checks, pat downs, checking people. They do it
- 4:32Speaker 2: all the time. Now, the plan today is when the
- 4:38Speaker 2: ICE agents come in, the TSA will still do the
- 4:41Speaker 2: actual inspection at the X ray machine at the conveyor belt.
- 4:45Speaker 2: But ICE will take over all the other jobs besides
- 4:48Speaker 2: the actual inspecting of the passengers. The TSA agents have
- 4:52Speaker 2: to be all over the airport, checking the gates in,
- 4:54Speaker 2: blocking the gates out, checking the line. So ICE will
- 4:57Speaker 2: take over that, which will free up a lot lot
- 5:00Speaker 2: of TSA and that'll help. And then they'll gradually get
- 5:04Speaker 2: trained on the X ray machines and they can eventually
- 5:06Speaker 2: take over the whole thing. And it might be a
- 5:09Speaker 2: good idea to just make that permanent. Let the ICE
- 5:11Speaker 2: agents do it. They're very good at it. It's the
- 5:14Speaker 2: other thing that it accomplishes. It's a great way to
- 5:17Speaker 2: troll Democrats. It's a great way to troll people like
- 5:21Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer. They hate Ice, they hate ICE agents, they
- 5:24Speaker 2: hate any illegal actually being caught and deported. Trump truthing
- 5:30Speaker 2: out over the weekend. If the radical left Democrats don't
- 5:33Speaker 2: immediately sign an agreement to let our country, in particular
- 5:37Speaker 2: our airports be free and safe again, I will move
- 5:40Speaker 2: our brilliant and patriotic ICE agents to the airport. Now
- 5:43Speaker 2: this is the part trolling the Democrats. He added, the
- 5:46Speaker 2: ICE agents would also beef up security against illegal immigrants,
- 5:50Speaker 2: heavy emphasis on those from Somalia, who have totally destroyed,
- 5:55Speaker 2: with the approval of a corrupt governor, attorney general, and
- 5:58Speaker 2: Congresswoman elon Omar, the once great state of Minnesota. So
- 6:01Speaker 2: it's driving the left nuts ice agents in the airport. Now,
- 6:07Speaker 2: it's important to get this whole thing settled. And you
- 6:11Speaker 2: might say, well, I'll give the Democrats credit for once
- 6:14Speaker 2: Congress stayed in session over the weekend, they remained in
- 6:18Speaker 2: Washington and didn't go home. Well, if you talk to
- 6:21Speaker 2: these congressmen, the real reason they did that they didn't
- 6:24Speaker 2: want to go home because they knew it was a
- 6:26Speaker 2: nightmare at the airports. They knew they'd be stuck in
- 6:29Speaker 2: these lines for three or four hours, or they can
- 6:33Speaker 2: get past the lines, they can avoid the lines and
- 6:35Speaker 2: be escorted right through. They either had to be stuck
- 6:38Speaker 2: in the lines for three or four hours or being
- 6:41Speaker 2: seen being escorted past the line, and they didn't want
- 6:45Speaker 2: to go through that, so they decided to stay in
- 6:49Speaker 2: Washington all week and we'll see if this gets settled. Iran.
- 6:54Speaker 2: The president over the weekend saying Iran has forty eight
- 6:58Speaker 2: hours or he will oblit rate their biggest power plants.
- 7:02Speaker 2: There's a number of power sources, but there's one major
- 7:05Speaker 2: power plant that cost a lot of money ten billion
- 7:08Speaker 2: to build it. You knock that out, you pretty much
- 7:11Speaker 2: cripple the electric grid of Iran. So he threatened to
- 7:15Speaker 2: do that. Now this morning, the present tweeting out that
- 7:18Speaker 2: the talks with Iran and there are talks on two levels,
- 7:21Speaker 2: government to government and then there's back channel talks with
- 7:26Speaker 2: opposition leaders and resistance. But he said things have gone
- 7:30Speaker 2: well with those talks, there is progress. He will give
- 7:32Speaker 2: them five days to get something done in the talks.
- 7:36Speaker 2: That's a pretty good deal. That's calmed things down a lot.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Stock market up about a thousand points already. Iran putting
- 7:46Speaker 2: out a statement saying they're having no talks at all,
- 7:48Speaker 2: which means they're having talks. Anytime Iran puts out a statement,
- 7:52Speaker 2: just reverse it and you probably got the real story.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Over the weekend, Iran for the first time launched ballistic
- 8:01Speaker 2: missiles that they've never used before that can go about
- 8:04Speaker 2: twenty five hundred miles twenty five hundred miles. It was
- 8:07Speaker 2: never thought that Iran would have that kind of range,
- 8:10Speaker 2: but they launched a couple of those missiles aiming at
- 8:13Speaker 2: the Diego Garcia military base, which is it's a joint
- 8:17Speaker 2: base United States and Britain. It's in the Indian Ocean's
- 8:20Speaker 2: about two thousand miles away. Now, the good news is
- 8:23Speaker 2: Iran with these long range ballistic missiles not very competent.
- 8:28Speaker 2: One failed, the other one was shot down. But the
- 8:31Speaker 2: problem is with the twenty five one hundred mile range, Well,
- 8:36Speaker 2: that means Iran can hit with their missiles, can hit London,
- 8:40Speaker 2: Paris Rome. It puts Europe in great jeopardy. That's another
- 8:44Speaker 2: reason Europe should get in and try to get this settled.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Same thing with the Straits of Horm Moose. We don't
- 8:51Speaker 2: get oil out of the Straits of hornor Moose. We
- 8:53Speaker 2: really don't need it. It's Europe. Europe gets all their
- 8:56Speaker 2: oil out of the Straits of Hermose. We actually get
- 8:59Speaker 2: maybe about one and a half percent. That's it, and
- 9:02Speaker 2: we don't need any oil. We're totally oil independent. We
- 9:05Speaker 2: can get by. We're actually not only totally independent, we're
- 9:09Speaker 2: on the way to becoming energy dominant. We're actually an
- 9:13Speaker 2: exporter now of oil. There are countries that are now
- 9:16Speaker 2: joining the US helping to contribute twenty two of them
- 9:20Speaker 2: so far. Latest to join Australia, the UAE. We've already
- 9:24Speaker 2: got UK, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Japan all helping to
- 9:29Speaker 2: open up the Straits of Hormus. So that's the good news. No,
- 9:32Speaker 2: the bad news is Iran is now with the hoodies
- 9:37Speaker 2: threatening the target the Red Sea. That's another strait, another
- 9:41Speaker 2: port that we need. It's a twenty mile wide straight
- 9:45Speaker 2: southern end of the Red Sea. They're threatening a target
- 9:48Speaker 2: that But this will all get resolved pretty fast, pretty
- 9:51Speaker 2: easy to take care of. All of this is not major,
- 9:53Speaker 2: major military stuff. Iranian protesters are saying revolution is just
- 10:00Speaker 2: around the corner. They can't wait to finish off this
- 10:02Speaker 2: awful regime. So we'll see. Hey, the funniest thing is
- 10:07Speaker 2: the president announces he's going to send the TSA into
- 10:10Speaker 2: the airports. So this whole democratic crazy left wing democrats
- 10:16Speaker 2: all over the Sunday shows, all over Twitter, all of
- 10:20Speaker 2: the it's all coordinated. They have conference calls in the
- 10:23Speaker 2: morning where they coordinate the language, whatever it's to say.
- 10:27Speaker 2: So yesterday they were told to say and it sounds crazy,
- 10:33Speaker 2: but it's basically what Richard Blumenthal tweets Richard Bloomenthal is
- 10:38Speaker 2: that sleazy, dirty senator from Connecticut who when they tell
- 10:42Speaker 2: him what to say, he'll basically just tweet it verbatim.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Bloomenthal tweeting out ICE agents at airports will only aggravate
- 10:50Speaker 2: delays and lines, disrupting checks, interrogating travelers, dragging parents from children,
- 10:56Speaker 2: detaining citizens, brutalizing families, shooting and even killing So is
- 11:03Speaker 2: it sounds insane, but they were told to say this, HAKEM.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Jeffries and others basically putting out the same nonsense that
- 11:10Speaker 2: the ICE agents at the airport will be grabbing your
- 11:13Speaker 2: children away from you, brutalizing people and shooting and even
- 11:16Speaker 2: killing them. I know you're supposed to tweet this, and
- 11:22Speaker 2: you're supposed to do what you're told if you're in
- 11:24Speaker 2: the Democratic Party. But Bloomenthal, as dirty and as sleazy
- 11:29Speaker 2: as he is, should at some points, I'm not tweeting
- 11:32Speaker 2: this at this is ridiculous. But it's Bloomenthal who's been
- 11:35Speaker 2: caught in the most unbelievable lies. He lied about serving
- 11:40Speaker 2: in Vietnam, memory lied about speaking at the Communist Party dinner.
- 11:45Speaker 2: He denied it. The video existed of him doing it. So,
- 11:49Speaker 2: I mean, just crazy, a lot to get to you today.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Michael Goodman will be with us in a few minutes,
- 11:55Speaker 2: and coming up a little later, we'll get to the
- 11:59Speaker 2: governor's race, will go over that in great detail. So, hey,
- 12:03Speaker 2: one reason things are going so well militarily. You know,
- 12:06Speaker 2: you can pick on Pete Hegsath all you want. You
- 12:09Speaker 2: can say, well, he's not the best at these press conferences.
- 12:12Speaker 2: But under Pete Hegsath, in the first year and a
- 12:17Speaker 2: couple months, the military has executed the most incredible military
- 12:22Speaker 2: operations in the history of the US, from Venezuela to
- 12:27Speaker 2: taking out the nuclear reactors in Iran. I mean, just
- 12:30Speaker 2: unbelievable operations under Hexath and the war in Iran, We've
- 12:34Speaker 2: never seen anything like this. I mean, it's been incredibly
- 12:38Speaker 2: effective in just two weeks what they've taken out over there.
- 12:41Speaker 2: And one of the things that's being used it's a
- 12:44Speaker 2: big part of our military now, is AI. AI is unbelievable.
- 12:49Speaker 2: You know, we have satellite photography. When you go online
- 12:53Speaker 2: and you look at satellite photos and you can zoom
- 12:56Speaker 2: in on a house or something like that. That's the
- 12:58Speaker 2: amateur stuff. The stuff the government has their satellite imagery
- 13:02Speaker 2: is unbelievable. You can zoom in right on a license plate.
- 13:06Speaker 2: You can zoom in down to like an inch with
- 13:08Speaker 2: perfect clarity. It's unbelievable. So we use that satellite photography
- 13:12Speaker 2: to look at faces, to look at stuff in the
- 13:15Speaker 2: streets of Iran. Study everybody out in the streets, see everybody,
- 13:19Speaker 2: and then one of the things you can do is
- 13:20Speaker 2: you can try to identify the faces. Who's a Republican guard,
- 13:25Speaker 2: who's a you know, one of the Iatola's inner circle. Well,
- 13:29Speaker 2: it takes forever. You'd need thousands and thousands of people
- 13:33Speaker 2: and hours and weeks and months of studying the satellite photos.
- 13:36Speaker 2: But we use AI. Now AI can do that. If
- 13:39Speaker 2: there's a crowd of a thousand, it could look at
- 13:40Speaker 2: all thousand faces and in a millisecond identify exactly who
- 13:45Speaker 2: they are. That we've been using AI for all kinds
- 13:47Speaker 2: of stuff. Also, you know, tracking down where drones came from,
- 13:52Speaker 2: missiles came from. It's made an incredible difference for us
- 13:56Speaker 2: luckily as far as AI military technology where way way
- 14:00Speaker 2: ahead of everybody else. Hey, Savannah Guthrie issuing a terrible,
- 14:05Speaker 2: you know, tearful plead moving. Please don't forget about my mother.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Please don't stop looking. You know everybody's forgotten about it.
- 14:13Speaker 2: It's never in the news anymore. Most of the big
- 14:16Speaker 2: reporters covering it have packed up and gone home. But
- 14:19Speaker 2: she just begging people, don't forget keep going through anything
- 14:23Speaker 2: and everything. Every little detail you never know, no matter
- 14:27Speaker 2: how insignificant it could be, could be important. No detail
- 14:30Speaker 2: is too small, she said. We continue to believe we'll
- 14:34Speaker 2: find her or find an answer. And the other thing
- 14:36Speaker 2: she's coming back to the Today Show. Looks like maybe
- 14:38Speaker 2: April tenth, Savannah Guthrie will return to the Today Show. Obviously,
- 14:44Speaker 2: not a lot of people watch it anymore, but obviously
- 14:46Speaker 2: there'll be big, big ratings that morning when she returns. Hey,
- 14:51Speaker 2: we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one
- 14:54Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 14:57Speaker 2: one zero seven ten
