Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Here we are, guys, our last break of the day
- 0:03Speaker 1: on this Thursday. It's been a good day as usual.
- 0:06Speaker 1: We thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Thank you. What to die? Take us out?
- 0:13Speaker 2: Yeah, my closing remarks today required background music. Please, Yeah,
- 0:26Speaker 2: I want to take this time out to have a
- 0:31Speaker 2: quiet storm type of closing remarks. Yeah. And then this
- 0:38Speaker 2: quiet storm moment of closing remarks, I want to include
- 0:42Speaker 2: one of my co hosts, Junior, who earlier today called
- 0:51Speaker 2: himself taking me to task to bring about the fact
- 0:56Speaker 2: that he had gotten a letter from a fellow Sickle
- 0:59Speaker 2: Cell member that was getting a little upset with me
- 1:04Speaker 2: talking about on the radio show. Why do Steve Harvey
- 1:09Speaker 2: be joking with Junior about sick or sell And if
- 1:13Speaker 2: he's going to do that, why don't Steve Harvey make
- 1:18Speaker 2: a donation to your foundation if he's gonna tell the jokes.
- 1:25Speaker 2: So what I've decided to do is seeing Junior fifty
- 1:28Speaker 2: dollars and let the jokes begin. If that's all it is.
- 1:37Speaker 2: You think this is about a mere donation, what do
- 1:43Speaker 2: fifty dollars get me? Well, as ridiculous as that sounds,
- 1:49Speaker 2: I've come to the conclusion to let a few people
- 1:52Speaker 2: know something. What I'm joking with Junior about it is
- 1:56Speaker 2: to put levity to the situation. I don't know who
- 1:59Speaker 2: all out are that deals with sickle cell, and I'm
- 2:03Speaker 2: not talking to you. I've never called a particular person's name.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I don't know the children or none of that. But
- 2:12Speaker 2: we open up this platform for Junior to freely discuss
- 2:16Speaker 2: anything about sickle cell, to support his causes, to uplift
- 2:21Speaker 2: his people, And we do that all the time on
- 2:24Speaker 2: this show. Every now and then, I will admit I
- 2:30Speaker 2: go too far, but I like far far as good.
- 2:37Speaker 2: But see the too far is because of you. See
- 2:41Speaker 2: you think it's too far because the line that I
- 2:47Speaker 2: keep crossing in your mind is too close. Your line
- 2:54Speaker 2: is just below your nose line. Every time you look
- 2:57Speaker 2: down you see a line. I don't have that line.
- 3:02Speaker 2: My line is way way over there. So when I
- 3:09Speaker 2: cross the line, I've just crossed your line. I ain't
- 3:13Speaker 2: even got nowhere near mine. So what I'm saying to
- 3:17Speaker 2: you is take a chill pill, relax, have a quiet
- 3:22Speaker 2: storm moment, enjoy the last. See. The problem with comedy
- 3:27Speaker 2: today is everybody is upset about everything. Everybody's super sensitive.
- 3:32Speaker 2: You can't joke about this. I can't say nothing about
- 3:35Speaker 2: fat people, but if I keep eating them'a be one
- 3:39Speaker 2: of them. You see what I'm saying. I can't say
- 3:43Speaker 2: nothing about people's hair because I ain't got none, But
- 3:47Speaker 2: then neither do Junior. You see what I'm saying. You
- 3:51Speaker 2: see how it goes. So what am I supposed to do?
- 3:53Speaker 1: What?
- 3:55Speaker 2: We can't talk about people being stupid? They say stupid.
- 3:57Speaker 2: You can't use the word stupid no more. But yet
- 3:59Speaker 2: in st we have Tommy every day on this show,
- 4:05Speaker 2: just a blaring example of stupidity, admitted stupidity. So what
- 4:12Speaker 2: we do on this show is we try to provide
- 4:14Speaker 2: levity in moments of controversy and moments of touching moments
- 4:18Speaker 2: and subjects to give you a reason to laugh. People
- 4:22Speaker 2: with sickle sell and still laugh. I met some really
- 4:26Speaker 2: cool people that I've had. I've said some things about it,
- 4:31Speaker 2: but it wasn't directed or mean spirited in anybody's child.
- 4:35Speaker 2: I've never said a single word about a child having
- 4:37Speaker 2: sickle cell, have I. So please don't put your children
- 4:41Speaker 2: in the joke that I didn't write for them. Stop
- 4:45Speaker 2: interjecting yourself into humor when nobody said your name. You
- 4:51Speaker 2: the one keep putting through that drive through window. You
- 4:57Speaker 2: the one, you the reason, and now you mad at me.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I didn't know you were listening. I thought you had
- 5:08Speaker 2: went to the refrigerator. I didn't know you were still here.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I didn't know you had got out because the drive
- 5:15Speaker 2: through line was too long, and you went in there
- 5:17Speaker 2: to cuss somebody out because you done ordered something that
- 5:20Speaker 2: ain't on the menu. They don't make extra crispy chicken nuggets,
- 5:26Speaker 2: but all of a sudden, you want extra crispy chicken nuggets.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Now you all up at the counter talking about just
- 5:33Speaker 2: leave them in there another minute. You the one at Costco,
- 5:41Speaker 2: not me, that's you. You, the one that got the
- 5:46Speaker 2: four hundred piece bag of chicken oneings at Costco. That's you.
- 5:51Speaker 2: That ain't me already pre fried, all you gotta do
- 5:54Speaker 2: is heat them up. That's you. You the one that
- 5:58Speaker 2: had to make a whole numb the cookie sheet out
- 6:02Speaker 2: to decide. Don't panel off your car. You don't put
- 6:04Speaker 2: that in the oven so you can heat up all
- 6:06Speaker 2: your chicken wings at once. But now you mad at me.
- 6:10Speaker 2: I don't see it. So for everybody out there, that's
- 6:13Speaker 2: suffering with a knell on this or going through some things.
- 6:15Speaker 2: These jokes will continue to provide you with a moment
- 6:18Speaker 2: of levity. But if you want to sit there and
- 6:21Speaker 2: be sad, please, if you could be sad all you want,
- 6:26Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, those are my clothing. Quiet story remarks. God,
- 6:31Speaker 2: bless you today. Talk to God today because he would
- 6:35Speaker 2: have loved head for me because I'm not listening pace out.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Thank you.
