- 1:55Speaker 3: You made it. You're an icon. You made it long ago.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Thank you. We have so much to talk about. And
- 2:04Speaker 2: I remember we were friends first. You came on the show, Lala.
- 2:08Speaker 2: And I was a fan of watching you. And then
- 2:13Speaker 2: I met your ex. And I did find him very
- 2:18Speaker 2: funny and you guys fun together. And we saw that
- 2:22Speaker 2: there was some social media shit that kind of went on.
- 2:27Speaker 2: With the messiness of he having an ex-wife who is
- 2:32Speaker 2: Amber and two children with her. And I just want
- 2:37Speaker 2: to get a little bit of the backstory of how
- 2:40Speaker 2: much you care to share, Amber, of like that you
- 2:43Speaker 2: guys were separated. You had issues. You're like on and
- 2:47Speaker 2: off kind of. Can you just share a little bit
- 2:50Speaker 2: on that?
- 2:51Speaker 3: Well, we were never on and off, maybe to him.
- 2:55Speaker 5: In my world, I was very much married. He was,
- 2:59Speaker 5: air quote, working, making movies. I had two little kids. Yes,
- 3:08Speaker 5: there had been infidelity in my marriage, you know, for
- 3:12Speaker 5: a very long time.
- 3:13Speaker 2: How did you first find out that that was a
- 3:15Speaker 2: pattern in your relationship?
- 3:18Speaker 3: It was very early on.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Very, very early on. Was it just like, did you
- 3:21Speaker 2: see the phone? It was everything.
- 3:23Speaker 5: Phone, text messages, and then eventually like, you know, you
- 3:26Speaker 5: just catch on and you see people's patterns and then
- 3:29Speaker 5: you notice their, I mean, you live under the same
- 3:31Speaker 5: roof with someone. I mean, you know when something is
- 3:34Speaker 5: like off and not right. So eventually I, you know,
- 3:41Speaker 5: I just kept staying. You know, I'm like a hopeless
- 3:44Speaker 5: romantic and it's like so weird to hear myself now
- 3:48Speaker 5: even after, you know, the marriage and another long-term relationship
- 3:52Speaker 5: and being single and dating now, like.
- 3:54Speaker 6: I, and I think it stems from, I grew up Mormon, right?
- 3:58Speaker 2: So like, Oh my God, you had that, you guys
- 3:59Speaker 2: kind of, not that you, you were never raised Mormon,
- 4:01Speaker 2: but raised around a lot of Mormons.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Oh yeah. My dad was, yeah, my dad was a Mormon. Oh,
- 4:05Speaker 3: your dad was a Mormon.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Yeah. He had left the church before I came into
- 4:09Speaker 4: the world, but yeah, my, my dad's entire family was
- 4:11Speaker 4: very LDS.
- 4:13Speaker 2: That is so crazy.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Um, so being raised Mormon and then having my parents
- 4:19Speaker 5: have known each other since high school and they're still
- 4:21Speaker 5: married to this day. So like for me, divorce, infidelity,
- 4:26Speaker 5: like that never existed in my, my world. So I
- 4:28Speaker 5: think there was a lot of, you know, denial, right?
- 4:32Speaker 5: I'm going to figure this out. There's other people in
- 4:33Speaker 5: the world that have gone through this and they've been
- 4:35Speaker 5: able to manage and try to control the situation and
- 4:38Speaker 5: change the person. And you stay because you have kids and,
- 4:41Speaker 5: you know, you want your family and then And then
- 4:44Speaker 5: you realize like you eventually looking back towards the end,
- 4:47Speaker 5: I'm like, you start to feel like you're dying, right?
- 4:51Speaker 5: Your soul, it's such a weird thing to articulate, but
- 4:55Speaker 5: you're like, I'm living in this body and I'm moving,
- 4:58Speaker 5: but my soul is dead.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Like I'm not alive inside.
- 5:01Speaker 5: And at that point it was, and then obviously it
- 5:07Speaker 5: kind of, the straw that broke the camel's back was
- 5:11Speaker 5: eventually finding a sex tape.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Of him with somebody else? Yeah, with her. Oh, you
- 5:17Speaker 2: found the sex tape of them. Where did you find it?
- 5:21Speaker 2: Like on the phone?
- 5:22Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, on the phone while I was sleeping. Well,
- 5:25Speaker 3: I wasn't sleeping. I was obviously awake, but we were
- 5:27Speaker 3: both sleeping.
- 5:28Speaker 2: And then you searched the phone.
- 5:29Speaker 5: And then she started calling in the middle of the night,
- 5:31Speaker 5: and I didn't know what it was, and so I
- 5:34Speaker 5: snuck his phone out.
- 5:35Speaker 6: From underneath his pillow.
- 5:36Speaker 2: While he's asleep.
- 5:37Speaker 5: While he's asleep, and it was like a gun emoji.
- 5:39Speaker 5: And at this point, I knew that they had been
- 5:41Speaker 5: seeing each other because... He would go down to Miami,
- 5:45Speaker 5: and I would look on her Instagram, and she would
- 5:48Speaker 5: be in Miami.
- 5:49Speaker 3: And then they would go somewhere, and then she.
- 5:50Speaker 5: So, like, it wasn't... You know, you become a detective
- 5:54Speaker 5: when you have to become a detective. So I found
- 5:58Speaker 5: the sex tape, and kind of all hell broke loose
- 6:02Speaker 5: from that point on.
- 6:03Speaker 2: So then did you wake him up at that point
- 6:04Speaker 2: or like start to like be quiet and kind of
- 6:07Speaker 2: plan your thing?
- 6:07Speaker 5: I took my time and like, I really studied like
- 6:10Speaker 5: his position and like, I was like, wow, Lala's really beautiful.
- 6:13Speaker 3: And then I was like, I'm kidding. So no, I.
- 6:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 6:18Speaker 2: And did you know that Lala was a reality star?
- 6:21Speaker 6: Yeah, but I had never seen Vanderpump Rules.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:23Speaker 5: At that point, like at all. Like I knew nothing, nothing.
- 6:27Speaker 5: I was like head in the sand, which shame on me.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Like I should have been a little more like alert,
- 6:31Speaker 5: I feel like, but. I was in complete denial.
- 6:35Speaker 6: Of the situation.
- 6:35Speaker 5: So eventually, yeah, we ended up, I woke him up.
- 6:42Speaker 3: We got into a fight and, but.
- 6:45Speaker 6: It was a peaceful fight. I think it was kind
- 6:46Speaker 6: of like, you know.
- 6:49Speaker 2: There's no denying now. This is not working, right?
- 6:51Speaker 5: Like shame on me, shame on you. Like I gotta
- 6:55Speaker 5: leave for myself now, right? You know, I tell people
- 6:58Speaker 5: I stayed for my kids because I didn't want them
- 7:00Speaker 5: to come from a broken home. But then I left
- 7:03Speaker 5: because it's like I have two daughters that I'm raising
- 7:05Speaker 5: and they're seeing their mom be completely disrespected. And that's
- 7:11Speaker 5: not cool either. I have to model for them what
- 7:14Speaker 5: a good, healthy marriage looks like.
- 7:17Speaker 2: And so what I think is interesting is, so I'm
- 7:21Speaker 2: watching the show and I'm seeing Lala and I see
- 7:24Speaker 2: that she is talking about this mysterious guy who's in
- 7:28Speaker 2: the industry. And the vision I had in my head
- 7:33Speaker 2: of who this person is.
- 7:36Speaker 3: He was hot?
- 7:37Speaker 2: Yes. I imagine like a Randy Gerber type who is
- 7:45Speaker 2: married to Cindy Crawford, but maybe like 10 years ago.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Like a 40-year-old that looked kind of like that. And
- 7:53Speaker 2: so I was like, oh my God, I can get
- 7:55Speaker 2: why you're keeping it a secret, you know, in my head.
- 7:58Speaker 2: And then when I find out, well, he has a wife,
- 8:01Speaker 2: Then I imagined another type of person who, attractive, but
- 8:06Speaker 2: I imagined like a brunette, and I imagined someone closer
- 8:10Speaker 2: to his age and to my age. And I'm like,
- 8:14Speaker 2: who is this child bride? Who is this gorgeous, successful actress, stunning,
- 8:21Speaker 2: like how the hell? How the hell?
- 8:27Speaker 3: What's going through your head right now?
- 8:30Speaker 2: A lot. Are you nervous?
- 8:32Speaker 3: Having an out-of-body experience, to be honest.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Wait, why? No.
- 8:36Speaker 3: She doesn't share much, ever.
- 8:38Speaker 4: Like, these are all conversations that we've had, like, behind
- 8:43Speaker 4: the scenes.
- 8:44Speaker 3: So to watch her, like, talk about it is.
- 8:49Speaker 5: Well, you know, it's someone else telling your story from
- 8:51Speaker 5: their perspective is really interesting.
- 8:54Speaker 7: Yeah. Like.
- 8:55Speaker 3: huh, you're right, what a dumb bitch. I'm thinking, like,
- 8:59Speaker 3: who is that girl? Not dumb at all. She's talking
- 9:03Speaker 3: about it, too. I'm like, what was I doing? Yeah.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Anyway. So how did you meet him? And how old
- 9:13Speaker 2: were you?
- 9:13Speaker 3: Gosh, wow. We're really going back.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I was young.
- 9:18Speaker 6: I was 17, turning 18 that summer. Um, I met
- 9:24Speaker 6: him in New York.
- 9:25Speaker 5: I was on a soap opera called all my children.
- 9:27Speaker 5: I had graduated high school early cause I had booked
- 9:30Speaker 5: this job and I was going actually on a golf scholarship,
- 9:35Speaker 5: signed with the university, booked.
- 9:37Speaker 3: All my children and said, you know what? I could
- 9:40Speaker 3: play golf.
- 9:40Speaker 5: Until I'm 80 years old. Like this is a once
- 9:42Speaker 5: in a lifetime opportunity. Grow up in a conservative Mormon household.
- 9:46Speaker 5: I wanted to get out so badly.
- 9:48Speaker 6: So, so I went to New York. He was there.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I don't know what he was doing there.
- 9:54Speaker 5: He was there, a friend of a mutual friend introduced
- 9:58Speaker 5: us he was like she's also another actress and that
- 10:02Speaker 5: was it like that was how he just he has
- 10:06Speaker 5: such a charm yes very charming yes and I want
- 10:09Speaker 5: to say this is like this person's personality is so
- 10:13Speaker 5: larger than life And he's funny and he's.
- 10:17Speaker 6: A great storyteller and he's just charismatic. Totally agree.
- 10:20Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 10:20Speaker 5: And like, so there was, it wasn't like some weird, like,
- 10:27Speaker 5: there's an attraction there that I had that I really
- 10:29Speaker 5: was like, wow, this person's really fun to be around.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:32Speaker 6: And like, we go and do fun things.
- 10:33Speaker 5: And he loves to go shopping and he loves to
- 10:35Speaker 5: go take, like, take vacations and he's like, I just love.
- 10:39Speaker 6: I love, I was telling her this on the way here, like,
- 10:41Speaker 6: I love.
- 10:41Speaker 5: An East Coast guy.
- 10:42Speaker 3: The energy of.
- 10:43Speaker 2: I like, that's the, you know what, that's like the
- 10:45Speaker 2: only accent that I would, that I was into back
- 10:48Speaker 2: when I was single.
- 10:49Speaker 6: Like a Jersey or.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Like Jersey, New York.
- 10:51Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Like never, you know, I wasn't really into really like,
- 10:55Speaker 2: you know. Scottish or English or that didn't like how
- 10:58Speaker 2: some people get excited about that. Right. Not me.
- 11:01Speaker 3: It has to be like, come here.
- 11:02Speaker 2: You know what you like? Even like, that's why I
- 11:04Speaker 2: think women love like gangster movies because it's like, even
- 11:07Speaker 2: though they're like murdering people, they're dressed well and they're
- 11:11Speaker 2: going to buy you a piece of jewelry. And it's like,
- 11:13Speaker 2: they're very protective, protective of the family and the protective
- 11:17Speaker 2: of you. And I think as a woman, that's just
- 11:20Speaker 2: a hot thing.
- 11:20Speaker 6: I felt protected by him. Yeah, for sure.
- 11:23Speaker 5: For no other reason that like, I knew that I
- 11:25Speaker 5: was going to be protected and He supported me. He
- 11:27Speaker 5: loved that I was an actor. I love that he
- 11:29Speaker 5: was in the business. And I feel like a lot
- 11:31Speaker 5: of artists were very misunderstood in the world. So to
- 11:34Speaker 5: find your person that like gets who you are from
- 11:37Speaker 5: the inside out and, and he did, and there was,
- 11:40Speaker 5: there was.
- 11:41Speaker 3: A lot of love there.
- 11:42Speaker 5: There was a lot of, and I know that there
- 11:44Speaker 5: was an age gap, but like he was, he was.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Much younger than his actual age.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Like I was the old soul. He was like the
- 11:54Speaker 3: man child.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:56Speaker 6: So it worked perfectly.
- 11:57Speaker 2: And so how old were you when you got engaged
- 12:02Speaker 2: or married?
- 12:02Speaker 3: There was no engagement. We went, um, we got married
- 12:06Speaker 3: when I.
- 12:06Speaker 5: Was 20 and then I had my first kid at 21.
- 12:13Speaker 2: That is crazy. And how did your parents feel about that?
- 12:18Speaker 3: I mean, they were not happy.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Did you have a real wedding?
- 12:22Speaker 6: No, we eloped in Malibu.
- 12:25Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Yeah, that just says a lot. Yeah.
- 12:30Speaker 3: I mean, it's like a classic.
- 12:30Speaker 2: You know what I mean? You're dating this younger... I mean, basically,
- 12:33Speaker 2: did you even have a boyfriend, like a real boyfriend
- 12:36Speaker 2: before him? I mean, you just got out of high school.
- 12:38Speaker 3: No, my high school sweetheart. I had met my.
- 12:42Speaker 5: my high school sweetheart. And we were actually going to
- 12:44Speaker 5: play golf together. Like he had gotten a scholarship to
- 12:46Speaker 5: the same university. And it was like that classic, like Americana,
- 12:50Speaker 5: like two athletes, like, you know what I mean?
- 12:52Speaker 3: That's what the plan was.
- 12:53Speaker 6: But no, I hadn't dated.
- 12:56Speaker 5: So from the time I met to the time I
- 13:00Speaker 5: got divorced at 27, I never had that dating experience.
- 13:04Speaker 2: I mean, it is such a world when, when you do,
- 13:07Speaker 2: when I was younger, I would sometimes date older guys too.
- 13:11Speaker 2: And I, I liked it. I mean, it's nice. It's
- 13:15Speaker 2: like nice car. They make the plan, you know, you
- 13:19Speaker 2: feel special. You kind of feel hot and sexy because
- 13:22Speaker 2: you are younger and hot and sexier than they are.
- 13:24Speaker 2: So it's like, it's not like you're, you know, dating
- 13:27Speaker 2: someone your age or dating someone that's like a model,
- 13:29Speaker 2: male model or something. You kind of feel like always
- 13:32Speaker 2: the hotter one of the two. And it's a, yeah,
- 13:36Speaker 2: I mean, I totally get it. And so, um, So
- 13:40Speaker 2: then when you discovered everything and how, how much time,
- 13:47Speaker 2: like to explain a little bit of the time, I
- 13:49Speaker 2: remember there was, um, like, you know, some, like I said,
- 13:53Speaker 2: some social media stuff that went on. Yeah. Because I
- 13:56Speaker 2: think you were here, lean a little more forward. I
- 13:58Speaker 2: think you obviously were being fed a different narrative and,
- 14:02Speaker 2: you know, you want to explain a little bit like
- 14:04Speaker 2: where your perspective was because you were dating this person
- 14:08Speaker 2: that wasn't being honest with you either.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Yeah, but I think had I been clear headed because
- 14:14Speaker 4: I was drinking pretty heavily once I met him. I mean,
- 14:19Speaker 4: I'm not saying that he's the reason for my drinking,
- 14:22Speaker 4: but I just can pinpoint when it kind of became
- 14:25Speaker 4: out of control, which.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Is when he entered my life. Would it have been
- 14:28Speaker 3: out of control regardless?
- 14:29Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 14:30Speaker 3: I guess we'll never know. But I would have been
- 14:33Speaker 3: able to put two and two together.
- 14:35Speaker 4: Like, I think I was actively trying to silence my
- 14:37Speaker 4: gut from telling me something is not right here. Um,
- 14:42Speaker 4: but yeah, I was, I was under the impression and
- 14:44Speaker 4: I was 25 years old. Like I, and I came
- 14:47Speaker 4: from like Amber parents who had been together since my
- 14:51Speaker 4: mom was like 19 years old.
- 14:53Speaker 3: They had a wonderful marriage.
- 14:54Speaker 4: Like it just didn't occur to me that people would
- 14:57Speaker 4: like go out and like lie about their marital status
- 15:00Speaker 4: to like bag another person. Like just that didn't really
- 15:03Speaker 4: enter my brain. Um, And then I just remember him
- 15:07Speaker 4: saying that he was separated. And then I remember hounding
- 15:13Speaker 4: him on an actual divorce date. And then I remember
- 15:16Speaker 4: him not being able to give me that. So I
- 15:18Speaker 4: started hooking up with other people and dating until that
- 15:22Speaker 4: was situated. Still very much in contact with him, but
- 15:26Speaker 4: I wasn't exclusively with him.
- 15:30Speaker 3: And then that day came.
- 15:31Speaker 4: And Amber and I just could, every time we would
- 15:36Speaker 4: get to common ground, it was always something that would
- 15:41Speaker 4: knock us off of our rocker where we just could
- 15:44Speaker 4: never see eye to eye understandably. Like she, she had
- 15:48Speaker 4: a very traumatic experience that involved me and many traumatic
- 15:52Speaker 4: experiences before that.
- 15:54Speaker 3: And I was deep in my alcoholism.
- 15:58Speaker 4: I think that I was jealous of her because, you know,
- 16:01Speaker 4: she gave him the two kids.
- 16:03Speaker 3: She was an actress.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I was a girl from Utah who landed on reality TV,
- 16:09Speaker 4: all sorts of crazy shit coming out of my mouth.
- 16:14Speaker 4: And then once my relationship ended and I kind of,
- 16:19Speaker 4: you know, the information started pouring in and it was like,
- 16:21Speaker 4: oh my gosh, like what I thought was my reality
- 16:26Speaker 4: is like very far from that, from the time we
- 16:30Speaker 4: started the relationship. And there just came a point in
- 16:33Speaker 4: time where I knew that I needed to reach out
- 16:36Speaker 4: to her and make an amends and just kind of,
- 16:39Speaker 4: not kind of, you know, absolutely own my part for
- 16:41Speaker 4: what I did to her, what I participated in.
- 16:45Speaker 2: They think you're done for the day, but they don't
- 16:47Speaker 2: know about the drawer. The drawer. Just the one square
- 16:53Speaker 2: before bed. Or two, you know.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Nobody's watching.
- 16:59Speaker 2: You deserve a treat.
- 17:04Speaker 7: With eight flavors to choose from, you can choose the
- 17:06Speaker 7: flavor you favor with Cadbury Dairy Milk. I'm Darman, and
- 17:16Speaker 7: this is What Happens Next. Each week on the show,
- 17:19Speaker 7: I sit down with extraordinary people who have faced tremendous setbacks,
- 17:24Speaker 7: and yet somehow have found a way to turn them
- 17:26Speaker 7: into their greatest strengths.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 17:34Speaker 1: filed against me.
- 17:35Speaker 3: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 17:37Speaker 3: what would you do if it was given back?
- 17:39Speaker 7: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 17:42Speaker 7: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 17:45Speaker 2: He said, I have a work dad.
- 17:46Speaker 7: I need a home dad. What happens next?
- 17:48Speaker 2: When I came in, he started crying.
- 17:50Speaker 7: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 17:54Speaker 7: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 17:57Speaker 7: happens next.
- 17:58Speaker 3: I decided to risk it all.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I realized how valuable every day was.
- 18:01Speaker 2: You're worth the work.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 18:04Speaker 2: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 18:07Speaker 7: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 18:10Speaker 7: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 18:21Speaker 4: Because regardless of if it was my intention or not,
- 18:25Speaker 4: it doesn't matter. My actions caused another woman hurt. And
- 18:30Speaker 4: it was tough. Because I kept thinking, how could you
- 18:36Speaker 4: be so fucking stupid?
- 18:38Speaker 2: About yourself?
- 18:39Speaker 7: Yes.
- 18:40Speaker 3: About myself.
- 18:42Speaker 2: And so up until the point where then you found
- 18:46Speaker 2: out he was being deceptive to you. And you already
- 18:50Speaker 2: had Ocean prior to that.
- 18:54Speaker 3: And let's be very clear.
- 18:55Speaker 4: The deception where it was like the cheating part, that
- 19:00Speaker 4: was fucking child's play. It was everything else that was
- 19:04Speaker 4: revealed where I said, oh, we're going to.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Enter a custody battle. I'm in fear for my child.
- 19:12Speaker 3: I don't.
- 19:13Speaker 4: This person is. Like, the cheating I could get over.
- 19:16Speaker 4: We can kiki, you know, my heart will heal because
- 19:19Speaker 4: I wasn't in love.
- 19:20Speaker 3: With this person.
- 19:20Speaker 4: Like, we'll get over it. Like, it's a tough pill
- 19:22Speaker 4: to swallow to be like, oh, like, we were homies
- 19:25Speaker 4: like that. Like, I really felt like he and I
- 19:26Speaker 4: thrived as friends.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I liked about hanging out with the
- 19:31Speaker 2: two of you is because I did think you were
- 19:32Speaker 2: like a funny couple.
- 19:33Speaker 7: Yes.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Like, kind of a fun.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Thrived as friends. Anytime the emotional connection came into play,
- 19:41Speaker 3: it was like.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Cats and dogs, it was not, we just didn't fit.
- 19:47Speaker 4: um but it was like that I could have gotten
- 19:52Speaker 4: over it was everything that came with that that I
- 19:55Speaker 4: have not shared um where I was like you will
- 20:00Speaker 4: not we will never have a friendship nothing yeah we'll
- 20:06Speaker 4: barely be able to co-parent.
- 20:08Speaker 2: But prior to the breakup, were you guys, because of
- 20:15Speaker 2: your daughters, and you guys weren't married, but being a stepmom,
- 20:20Speaker 2: and you lived together with this man, had you guys
- 20:24Speaker 2: found a better place as far as when she was
- 20:27Speaker 2: with your daughters and stuff prior to you breaking up
- 20:30Speaker 2: with him?
- 20:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I would say that there were moments where I
- 20:34Speaker 5: was like, oh, thank God Lala's there.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Thank God.
- 20:39Speaker 5: Because I knew, as much as our differences aside, the
- 20:41Speaker 5: fact that I'm not married to this guy anymore, I'm like, okay, great,
- 20:44Speaker 5: moving on.
- 20:46Speaker 6: She was so good with my girls.
- 20:50Speaker 5: And I'm so, so thankful that, one, that you got
- 20:54Speaker 5: sober and that you could show up for them. And,
- 20:58Speaker 5: you know, Lala kept order in the house.
- 21:01Speaker 6: Stuff that men typically aren't great at.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Because I was around... I was in that house.
- 21:12Speaker 4: I was sober longer than I was a drinker when
- 21:14Speaker 4: I was in that situation. And so I really, my
- 21:19Speaker 4: whole role and everything after I got sober was very different.
- 21:22Speaker 3: It was like, I was deeply embedded in being like
- 21:24Speaker 3: a step-mom.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Like if the girls were, you know, struggling with reading
- 21:30Speaker 4: or math, it was like Amazon workbooks are coming to
- 21:32Speaker 4: the house. Like we're going to figure out how to
- 21:34Speaker 4: count money. We're, you know, we were, always cooking, doing
- 21:37Speaker 4: face masks. Like that, that was truly my life. Um,
- 21:41Speaker 4: which I'm very grateful for because had I not been sober,
- 21:45Speaker 4: I would not have been able to show up for them.
- 21:47Speaker 4: And then thank God I got sober because then I
- 21:48Speaker 4: became a mom to my own child. Um, which I
- 21:52Speaker 4: was in the house for seven months. Like it was.
- 21:55Speaker 5: Very, and by the way, like you were holding down
- 21:57Speaker 5: the fort when he was like, again, working.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Yeah. Right.
- 22:00Speaker 3: He was working.
- 22:01Speaker 5: So, and, and it wasn't like, he would give me
- 22:04Speaker 5: the kids on my, like even if he was out
- 22:07Speaker 5: of town, they were with Lala and it was like, okay, then,
- 22:11Speaker 5: you know, thank God.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Yeah, no, that it was definitely, it felt like my purpose.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Like obviously I was working and things like that, but
- 22:20Speaker 4: I was deeply embedded in.
- 22:22Speaker 5: Like, and even her mom was so great. It was like,
- 22:24Speaker 5: you know, Lisa, Lala's mom was also amazing. Always cooking
- 22:28Speaker 5: with the kids, always doing something amazing.
- 22:31Speaker 3: And that, Yeah, there was order and routine for sure.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember when it all came out and we
- 22:37Speaker 2: were talking on the phone and he's calling me trying
- 22:41Speaker 2: to convince me that this is just, you know, fans
- 22:44Speaker 2: making up stuff. And I kind of was like, you know,
- 22:49Speaker 2: at first I thought, no, maybe that is true. You know,
- 22:51Speaker 2: like people do do stuff like that. And then you're
- 22:56Speaker 2: just like, no, Heather, like, no. I was like, oh, okay.
- 22:59Speaker 5: Okay.
- 23:01Speaker 2: And then I was like, okay, I'm never speaking to
- 23:04Speaker 2: you again. Goodbye. You know, I'm not comfortable. I thought
- 23:07Speaker 2: maybe I believed you for like, you know, 36 hours, whatever.
- 23:11Speaker 2: And so, but I, I remember then you saying Amber's
- 23:17Speaker 2: been really great. We're talking all the time now.
- 23:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 23:20Speaker 2: And so can you speak a little bit on that
- 23:22Speaker 2: of when you guys like actually got together and realized, wow,
- 23:26Speaker 2: this guy has a really good picker. We're both fucking fabulous. Like,
- 23:30Speaker 2: can we give him one compliment? He knows how to
- 23:32Speaker 2: pick great, gorgeous, smart, successful.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Women who are great moms.
- 23:36Speaker 2: He does. I've noticed that with every like mirror.
- 23:39Speaker 3: But if we were smart, would we have ended up
- 23:41Speaker 3: in that situation? The smarts came later.
- 23:43Speaker 2: But I think there's love bombing and I think there's
- 23:46Speaker 2: being young and I think there's a power difference that happens.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I'm a sucker for a love bomber. Come fucking hunt me, baby. Yeah.
- 23:55Speaker 3: I want to be hunted.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Yeah, because what's so great about love bombing as a
- 23:59Speaker 2: woman is you get love bombed and you're like, finally,
- 24:03Speaker 2: somebody gets how great I am. I am the greatest woman.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I am the sexiest thing you.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Have ever seen in your life.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Thank you. Thank you. Why are we not hitting this
- 24:15Speaker 2: every night? I'm a fucking hot babe, you know? Yeah.
- 24:18Speaker 2: And then it doesn't occur to you that goes, wow,
- 24:21Speaker 2: if you're that good with me, like, and you're 48
- 24:26Speaker 2: years old, is it possible that there was someone prior
- 24:30Speaker 2: to me that you might have been this excited about?
- 24:33Speaker 2: And there might be someone after me that you might
- 24:36Speaker 2: be this excited about. No, because we like a compliment.
- 24:41Speaker 3: That's fucking sad. But now I'm so scarred. I was
- 24:44Speaker 3: telling Amber today, I'm like, this is where I'm at.
- 24:48Speaker 4: The guy who shows up for me and is like
- 24:51Speaker 4: right there ready to fight. I'm like, that's a red
- 24:53Speaker 4: flag because what are you doing behind the scenes?
- 24:55Speaker 3: But then the.
- 24:55Speaker 4: Guys who like don't really show up, I'm like, well,
- 24:57Speaker 4: that's a red flag too because you're not showing up
- 24:59Speaker 4: at all. I'm like, I'm so traumatized that I don't
- 25:03Speaker 4: know What is.
- 25:04Speaker 3: Right or wrong? I mean, I, I think his homeboy
- 25:08Speaker 3: showed up.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Rx.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Oh, he was right there ready to fight for you.
- 25:13Speaker 3: We had this conversation today. We had this conversation.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I mean, like when something was going down and you
- 25:18Speaker 2: were hurting, it was like, Oh, fuck that shit.
- 25:20Speaker 3: So protected.
- 25:21Speaker 4: But then you're disoriented. Cause you're like, wait, what have
- 25:24Speaker 4: you been doing behind my back? What kind of life
- 25:27Speaker 4: have you been living? So now when a guy's like
- 25:30Speaker 4: right there, ready to fight or whatever, I'm like, who
- 25:33Speaker 4: are you fucking behind my back?
- 25:34Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 25:34Speaker 3: What's your intention? What's your intention here? Why are you
- 25:37Speaker 3: fighting so hard? So then I went the other way
- 25:39Speaker 3: and it's like, okay, well now you're not showing up
- 25:42Speaker 3: at all.
- 25:42Speaker 4: So like, what are you doing behind my back? I
- 25:44Speaker 4: don't know what is right or wrong anymore.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:47Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 25:48Speaker 2: I mean, it's hard when you've been through that and
- 25:50Speaker 2: our minds are so different than a man's brain. You know,
- 25:54Speaker 2: you can't, it's like never stops. You're always thinking you're,
- 25:58Speaker 2: you know, and they're just like, what's for lunch?
- 26:00Speaker 3: I know.
- 26:01Speaker 2: And it's just kind of like, okay, well, it's just
- 26:03Speaker 2: a very different brain. And so it's like, it's hard to. Um,
- 26:08Speaker 2: this story that's in the news, I thought you guys
- 26:10Speaker 2: would find interesting. So this guy is very good looking.
- 26:14Speaker 3: I mean, they're both Steven.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I think his name's Steven McBee from the McBee dynasty. Yeah.
- 26:19Speaker 2: And I watched some of the show. I had one
- 26:21Speaker 2: of the women on his dad's like ex-girlfriend came on,
- 26:24Speaker 2: which was, she was kind of interesting.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:26Speaker 3: He's very cute.
- 26:26Speaker 2: They run this cattle thing. He got, he got discovered
- 26:30Speaker 2: cause he was, they came to see if he wanted
- 26:33Speaker 2: to be like the bachelor or something or farmer needs
- 26:35Speaker 2: a wife. I don't know what. And then, He didn't
- 26:38Speaker 2: do it. And then they were like, that production company
- 26:41Speaker 2: was like, well, this is kind of an amazing thing
- 26:42Speaker 2: because there's two other brothers in it. And I watched,
- 26:46Speaker 2: so he has a new girlfriend, not the one we
- 26:47Speaker 2: saw from two years ago in the show. He's a
- 26:49Speaker 2: new girl that's featured on the show and she's very beautiful.
- 26:53Speaker 2: And this exploded the day after Stagecoach of all places.
- 26:56Speaker 2: So they go to Stagecoach and I was there.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Both of them?
- 27:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:01Speaker 3: As a couple.
- 27:02Speaker 2: As a couple. And she's, you know, a beautiful thin
- 27:04Speaker 2: blonde and he's, you know, a rugged man. you know,
- 27:07Speaker 2: hot guy. And so it was funny cause I saw
- 27:11Speaker 2: this one girl go said, um, I just want to
- 27:14Speaker 2: tell you guys, like I saw a check, she's like, um,
- 27:16Speaker 2: at stagecoach, I've seen so many couples fight that they
- 27:20Speaker 2: sold twice as much alcohol in the first day of
- 27:23Speaker 2: stagecoach than both like Coachella things involved. So it's like,
- 27:28Speaker 2: you know, it's a little, it's a little older of
- 27:30Speaker 2: a crowd, you know, it's not necessarily all teenagers. There's
- 27:33Speaker 2: a lot of 30, 40 year olds, you know, 20,
- 27:35Speaker 2: late twenties, whatever. And they like to drink and whatever.
- 27:39Speaker 2: I witnessed a couple arguing. Nothing bad. Just her being like,
- 27:43Speaker 2: I don't get it. Like, what? Why? And he's like,
- 27:45Speaker 2: because I told you. And I just, I'm like, oh, like,
- 27:49Speaker 2: this is just like, whatever. And then the wind started
- 27:52Speaker 2: to go. And I told my girlfriend, I go, I
- 27:54Speaker 2: don't want to get stuck here. I mean, let's go
- 27:57Speaker 2: back to our house. So we left before the sandstorm.
- 28:00Speaker 2: But so he leaves, apparently. A day early because he
- 28:06Speaker 2: has to work. So he's not there for Sunday night.
- 28:08Speaker 2: And somebody DMs him. I mean, there's a whole bunch
- 28:11Speaker 2: of things they've all shared. They've all been sharing their
- 28:14Speaker 2: stories and their DMs and their videos. This is what
- 28:17Speaker 2: I got from summarizing it. Somebody reached out to him
- 28:20Speaker 2: and was like, hey, are you still dating this girl?
- 28:23Speaker 2: And he's like, yeah, why? Well, she's at an after
- 28:26Speaker 2: party grinding up against a guy. And like someone takes
- 28:29Speaker 2: a photo of her kind of like dancing with some
- 28:32Speaker 2: guy and He then immediately starts texting her like, what
- 28:36Speaker 2: the hell are you doing? And very like abusive, like,
- 28:38Speaker 2: I knew you were just a whore. I can't make you,
- 28:41Speaker 2: you know, I want, I thought I could make you
- 28:42Speaker 2: a housewife. I can't, da, da, da, da. And like
- 28:45Speaker 2: really stuff like that. And he even did a video
- 28:48Speaker 2: the morning after where he's like, yeah, you know what?
- 28:51Speaker 2: I know I'm not easy to live with.
- 28:53Speaker 6: I know I'm an A type.
- 28:55Speaker 2: I have a personality. Things don't get right. I get angry.
- 28:59Speaker 2: I'm like, who wants to date you? Like, it was
- 29:01Speaker 2: like the worst. I was like, oh my God, like
- 29:04Speaker 2: mean dad times 10. Like who wants to be with
- 29:06Speaker 2: this fucker? And so then he's like, Anna, I thought,
- 29:09Speaker 2: you know, but when your whole life is about going
- 29:11Speaker 2: to the next three day festival and what outfits you're
- 29:14Speaker 2: going to wear and who you're going to meet and dah, dah, dah, dah.
- 29:18Speaker 2: And you have to go to the after party. Yeah.
- 29:21Speaker 7: Okay.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Okay.
- 29:21Speaker 2: We've been at stagecoach for three days. She's with her friends.
- 29:25Speaker 2: There's an after party. Why the fuck not? When you go,
- 29:27Speaker 2: why wouldn't you go? You're all influencers. It's a business thing.
- 29:31Speaker 2: And so then this young guy that she was supposedly
- 29:34Speaker 2: dancing with, they were each following each other. Doesn't mean
- 29:38Speaker 2: they're fucking again. You're in the same. business he's just
- 29:43Speaker 2: I mean I was wondering like is he talking to
- 29:45Speaker 2: text or is he just like going off because it's
- 29:46Speaker 2: like you know long paragraph next long paragraph paragraph paragraph
- 29:50Speaker 2: and then he posts again like this is where I
- 29:53Speaker 2: am at 5 30 AM. Why am I X? Why
- 29:56Speaker 2: am I, while this girl is whatever, whoring around at Zendaya,
- 30:01Speaker 2: you know, after party or whatever it is, a Vaughn
- 30:03Speaker 2: Dutch party, whatever. And so, and it's like a gym. Okay, fucker. Oh,
- 30:08Speaker 2: I'm supposed to be real. That's gets me real wet.
- 30:10Speaker 2: You went to the gym at 5 AM. I'm like, whatever,
- 30:13Speaker 2: who cares? And so now everybody's like, screw this guy.
- 30:17Speaker 2: And she, she just goes, whatever, you're crazy. And he's like,
- 30:20Speaker 2: You know, and now the other girlfriend has been sharing
- 30:22Speaker 2: her DMs from two years ago where he was like,
- 30:25Speaker 2: where her sister had just died and a month prior.
- 30:29Speaker 2: And she's like, I just, I want to get my
- 30:30Speaker 2: sister's ashes. I just, I feel, and he's like, fine, I'll,
- 30:34Speaker 2: I'll move the ashes. Like just, he was just so awful.
- 30:39Speaker 2: So maybe this girl and the girl from two years
- 30:41Speaker 2: ago will be best friends.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Yeah, they could be.
- 30:44Speaker 2: The four of you guys do a podcast.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Yeah, there we go. Can I say it now? I
- 30:49Speaker 3: think he hat fishes people.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Hat fish. I love that expression.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Yeah, we've been talking about this a lot.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Meaning you have a hat on and it's the cutest
- 30:57Speaker 2: face ever.
- 30:59Speaker 3: Oh, look at his face. He's gorgeous.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Yeah, he's gorgeous.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Let's take off the hat.
- 31:03Speaker 4: I've looked him up a few times and every image
- 31:06Speaker 4: has a hat.
- 31:07Speaker 2: So.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:09Speaker 6: And you know what I love about Lala? So I
- 31:11Speaker 6: was on Raya.
- 31:11Speaker 3: I deleted it again.
- 31:13Speaker 2: I just told you.
- 31:14Speaker 3: So I go, I have the same with the dating apps.
- 31:16Speaker 3: I'll go on it.
- 31:16Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, I'm going to go out there.
- 31:18Speaker 3: I'm going to put myself out there. And then I
- 31:19Speaker 3: like retreat. I'm like, oh my God. Then you see
- 31:21Speaker 3: what's out there and you go.
- 31:22Speaker 5: So, but I'm also still a little.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Is that your Raya alert? I'm not on Raya.
- 31:27Speaker 6: I'm still a little green.
- 31:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:29Speaker 6: And so I'm like, hey, what do you think of
- 31:31Speaker 6: this guy?
- 31:31Speaker 2: She's like, Amber, effery.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Freaking picture, there's a hat.
- 31:35Speaker 6: And I'm like, oh, what does that mean? But he's
- 31:36Speaker 6: so cute.
- 31:37Speaker 3: She's like, he has no hair.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I'm like, oh. Or sometimes it's that they have hair.
- 31:42Speaker 2: But something about the head shape just completely changes when
- 31:46Speaker 2: the hat's gone. 100%.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 2: And it's like, it like almost like it kind of
- 31:51Speaker 2: evens out their face or whatever, you know? Yeah, it's
- 31:55Speaker 2: something to be concerned about. It's something to say.
- 31:58Speaker 3: There's a lot to be concerned about out there.
- 32:02Speaker 2: I mean, listen. It's, it's an, it's interesting. And I think,
- 32:06Speaker 2: you know, when you get on those dates, those sites
- 32:09Speaker 2: and you're like the new girl in town, it's like
- 32:12Speaker 2: you get the, the, the first couple of months seem
- 32:15Speaker 2: to be like all the good ones, but you don't
- 32:17Speaker 2: realize that, you know, and then people say, and then I,
- 32:20Speaker 2: then they show up again. Like it goes to recycle. Like,
- 32:23Speaker 2: like they, you know, there's, cause there's some that are
- 32:25Speaker 2: just like, they know they do real well on it,
- 32:28Speaker 2: you know? And, um, but this was just, um, And
- 32:32Speaker 2: to put it all out there, I know they're on
- 32:33Speaker 2: a reality show and everything, but it was just so,
- 32:35Speaker 2: and it did seem like he was really sort of
- 32:37Speaker 2: jumping to crazy conclusions.
- 32:40Speaker 3: So wait, she never made out with anybody?
- 32:43Speaker 2: She, well, what I saw, she was like, no, like
- 32:47Speaker 2: I'm dancing, but then someone said they were holding hands
- 32:49Speaker 2: and this and that. And I mean, again, one of
- 32:53Speaker 2: the reasons I believed your ex for a minute is
- 32:55Speaker 2: I'm like, when you're like a star and people are
- 32:58Speaker 2: following them, it's weird. Like I went to a thing and, And, um,
- 33:04Speaker 2: you know, like a fun little party on Saturday for stage.
- 33:07Speaker 2: It wasn't anything super big, you know, some gifting, some
- 33:10Speaker 2: not other people, anyone could go and like buy a drink.
- 33:13Speaker 2: I got a band, I got a free, you know,
- 33:16Speaker 2: burnt and barbecue, you know, it was pretty good. Some
- 33:19Speaker 2: free mac and cheese. It wasn't anything. Um, I see
- 33:23Speaker 2: that someone there took a photo of my girlfriend and
- 33:26Speaker 2: I just add around cocktail table, just eating our food
- 33:29Speaker 2: in the day and like put it on a, on
- 33:32Speaker 2: a site of like, look at this fucking loser. And
- 33:35Speaker 2: I'm like, Jesus, I'm literally just eating.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Can I eat some fucking macaroni and cheese? The world
- 33:41Speaker 3: is brutal. I'm telling you.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Okay. Sorry that I'm went to something and I'm having
- 33:45Speaker 2: lunch with a girl that I met first day of college.
- 33:48Speaker 2: I don't know, but I'm saying if it's happening to me,
- 33:50Speaker 2: I was like, Clearly, you know, some young person that
- 33:53Speaker 2: probably wants to fuck him is obsessed with them, saw
- 33:56Speaker 2: her there, and she's there too, and then is like.
- 33:58Speaker 3: She's very pretty.
- 33:59Speaker 2: DMing and being like, you know, just so you know,
- 34:02Speaker 2: she's dancing with some guy. Even if she was dancing
- 34:05Speaker 2: with some guy or whatever, like, what are you... Who cares?
- 34:09Speaker 3: Also, look at the way he talks to her.
- 34:11Speaker 2: It was so.
- 34:13Speaker 4: If that's how he's... That's not like the first time
- 34:15Speaker 4: that he's communicated with her like that.
- 34:17Speaker 2: She's been walking on eggshells. And probably it loves him
- 34:21Speaker 2: cause he is so cute. He probably is like, you know,
- 34:24Speaker 2: the type of, you know, when they like, because of
- 34:26Speaker 2: that truck stuff, you know how those like, there's like
- 34:28Speaker 2: videos where it's like, you know, um, what, what did your,
- 34:33Speaker 2: you know, what happened? All right, let me get my shotgun.
- 34:37Speaker 2: And you're like, Not that you're like for that, but
- 34:39Speaker 2: you're like, I'll be watching some TikTok videos and it'll
- 34:41Speaker 2: be like some girl like, when your man knows what
- 34:43Speaker 2: to do. And then it's like, shows the truck, like
- 34:46Speaker 2: leave the house. And she's like, and everyone's like, that's
- 34:48Speaker 2: a real man. Like, I get why it's kind of
- 34:52Speaker 2: hot until you're on the receiving end and it's like
- 34:55Speaker 2: 5 a.m. And you're washing your face and it's like,
- 34:59Speaker 2: and you're like, I'm home at the influencer house. wiping
- 35:03Speaker 2: the sand out of my hair. I don't have a
- 35:05Speaker 2: dick in my mouth. Like what is wrong with you?
- 35:08Speaker 3: People are so unhinged.
- 35:09Speaker 5: People are so, we are, we like, and not to
- 35:12Speaker 5: go like really negative, but people are so sick and
- 35:17Speaker 5: it's like, like emotionally sick, spiritually sick.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:22Speaker 5: And it's this, it's this world that we've all become
- 35:27Speaker 5: obsessed about and with. And people are, well, People don't care.
- 35:32Speaker 6: They will go to any length to destroy a life.
- 35:35Speaker 5: If that means that they get another like on Instagram
- 35:38Speaker 5: or 10,000 more followers.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Right. Or break up somebody or whatever.
- 35:41Speaker 5: Yeah, there's no boundaries.
- 35:42Speaker 2: But I think that she should thank whoever sent the DM.
- 35:47Speaker 2: You know, it's just like, thank you. I mean, you know,
- 35:50Speaker 2: I'm sure there was a point where you were like,
- 35:52Speaker 2: thank you, Lala. Like, thank you, Lala. I might have
- 35:54Speaker 2: still stayed with this person. That definitely happened. Like, lots
- 35:57Speaker 2: of times people say, I do thank the other woman.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Or if it does end up okay. And the, and
- 36:03Speaker 2: the second wife or the step-mom stays with them forever.
- 36:06Speaker 2: There's so many times that women come together because, you know,
- 36:11Speaker 2: it's like, well, I'll just do the exchanges, you know,
- 36:14Speaker 2: with the step-mom or like, you know, like, like let's
- 36:17Speaker 2: just take him out of it, you know, whatever. And
- 36:19Speaker 2: sometimes it, and it can sometimes work out great for
- 36:23Speaker 2: the rest of their lives and families are together and the,
- 36:25Speaker 2: two moms are planning the wedding together, you know, like
- 36:27Speaker 2: it can all happen.
- 36:28Speaker 6: It can if there's normal people involved.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Right. Exactly.
- 36:31Speaker 3: When you have like crazy people.
- 36:33Speaker 6: Involved, it does, there's no, there's, there's no chance.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:37Speaker 5: And there was that point where I, I'll never forget
- 36:40Speaker 5: when she called me and she made an amends and
- 36:43Speaker 5: I was like, thank you for, you know, taking the
- 36:47Speaker 5: time to like make the amends.
- 36:49Speaker 6: But I would have not, I wouldn't have been alive.
- 36:53Speaker 6: I was so sick. I was, so sick in my.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Addiction, my codependency.
- 36:59Speaker 2: What was your addiction?
- 37:01Speaker 6: For me, I loved, well, loved everything but cocaine.
- 37:05Speaker 5: I've never done cocaine before, but I loved Xanax, muscle relaxers,
- 37:12Speaker 5: you know, wine. I was a big, I loved my wine, like.
- 37:15Speaker 6: Anything to not feel.
- 37:17Speaker 2: So you were sober too.
- 37:18Speaker 3: I'm sober.
- 37:19Speaker 5: Um, and yeah, I just, I was slowly killing myself emotionally, spiritually, physically.
- 37:25Speaker 5: And I, I would not have been able to get
- 37:29Speaker 5: out of the marriage. I didn't know how, like I
- 37:30Speaker 5: had been married for eight years. I did not know
- 37:33Speaker 5: how to leave the marriage. It just, I couldn't take
- 37:35Speaker 5: that leap of faith. I was, I had so much
- 37:38Speaker 5: fear and anxiety. So if it wasn't for, for her
- 37:42Speaker 5: and the situation that happened.
- 37:44Speaker 6: I would have never left.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, um, Speaking of new love, so your castmate,
- 37:51Speaker 2: Michelle from the Valley, everybody's talking about that she is
- 37:55Speaker 2: holding hands on a date with Dr. Dre. Can you
- 38:01Speaker 2: speak on this at all? Did you know about this?
- 38:05Speaker 2: Are you shipping this, as the kids say?
- 38:07Speaker 3: I know nothing.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Well, I have a friend named Paige Davis, and she's
- 38:14Speaker 2: very funny. And she was saying, I... was trying to
- 38:18Speaker 2: be set up with Dr. Dre. And I think I
- 38:23Speaker 2: know the mutual friend. And she's like, so good for her.
- 38:28Speaker 2: She was being funny. She's like, I'm really jealous that
- 38:31Speaker 2: it wasn't me. But I think it's kind of fun.
- 38:35Speaker 3: I think it's cute.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Lola's being so good. Why not? Who cares? I mean,
- 38:42Speaker 2: he's a lot older, but he's obviously... different life, everything again.
- 38:48Speaker 2: It could just be fun.
- 38:50Speaker 3: It's Dr.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Dre.
- 38:51Speaker 3: It's Dr. Dre.
- 38:52Speaker 2: It's Dr.
- 38:52Speaker 6: Fucking Dre.
- 38:53Speaker 2: I mean, it could be a real fun time. Yeah.
- 38:56Speaker 2: So good for her. Her daughter, by the way, is
- 39:00Speaker 2: her doppelganger.
- 39:01Speaker 3: They look so much alike.
- 39:02Speaker 2: They look so much alike when I watch The Valley.
- 39:05Speaker 4: She's... Isabella is starting to look more and more like
- 39:08Speaker 4: her as she gets older. I feel like for a moment,
- 39:10Speaker 4: Jesse loved that Isabella was like a copy and paste
- 39:13Speaker 4: of him, which I think when she was younger, they
- 39:16Speaker 4: did look very similar. As she gets older, she's turning
- 39:19Speaker 4: into her mama.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought it was cool. All right, now this
- 39:23Speaker 2: is from Summer House. And Summer House, i people have
- 39:27Speaker 2: compared compared a little bit to the scandal ball in
- 39:30Speaker 2: that there is a guy i'm going to educate amber
- 39:34Speaker 2: so there's summer house these people live in a house
- 39:36Speaker 2: all summer there's this beautiful girl sierra and she dated
- 39:40Speaker 2: this guy west can you see it like a year
- 39:43Speaker 2: or so ago And it was kind of an on
- 39:45Speaker 2: and off, didn't work out, but she seemed to sort
- 39:47Speaker 2: of be pining for him and still like him.
- 39:48Speaker 3: He reeled her in.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:51Speaker 3: I think, yeah.
- 39:52Speaker 2: So he, yeah, he'd kind of play with her emotions
- 39:54Speaker 2: and bring her back and all this stuff. And meanwhile,
- 39:57Speaker 2: she became best friends with Amanda and Amanda was married
- 40:00Speaker 2: to a guy named Kyle for like 10 years and
- 40:03Speaker 2: they would have, they were the fighting couple. You know,
- 40:05Speaker 2: have you ever been in a group? where it's the
- 40:08Speaker 2: fighting couple. Imagine all summer long.
- 40:09Speaker 3: I was the fighting couple. I was the fighting couple too.
- 40:12Speaker 3: I know that very well.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Where all the friends are like, God, we're stuck in
- 40:15Speaker 2: this house. You know, could you just be nicer to her?
- 40:17Speaker 2: Could you just, whatever the case is. And then he
- 40:21Speaker 2: becomes a DJ, which everyone is like, that's the kiss
- 40:23Speaker 2: of death, whatever. But I'm also glad that he did
- 40:26Speaker 2: it because they are getting divorced now. And it comes
- 40:31Speaker 2: out that Amanda and West are, have been fucking. Yeah. And,
- 40:37Speaker 2: No one really knows the truth of when it began.
- 40:40Speaker 2: But in watching the show, Sierra was that constant friend
- 40:46Speaker 2: boosting Amanda up, being like, you know, you deserve better
- 40:50Speaker 2: than this marriage you're in. And, you know, really kind
- 40:53Speaker 2: of depleting, sucking the air out of the room as,
- 40:57Speaker 2: you know, the woe is me wife, Amanda. When, you know,
- 41:02Speaker 2: he was playing it and I had this I talked
- 41:07Speaker 2: about on my show and I'm like, I just want
- 41:09Speaker 2: to know what, who is, is there a type of
- 41:12Speaker 2: girl that kind of gets off on fucking her friend's boyfriend?
- 41:20Speaker 2: Like that proximity. Is there something that makes you do it?
- 41:24Speaker 2: And this girl wrote me and she goes, I was
- 41:27Speaker 2: that girl.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Did she explain like what it is?
- 41:30Speaker 2: She totally regrets it now, but she just said, I
- 41:33Speaker 2: think like anything, it is sort of like, now I
- 41:37Speaker 2: don't know, this might be the first time Amanda has
- 41:39Speaker 2: ever done this in her life, but someone that might
- 41:42Speaker 2: do this a little in high school, a little in college,
- 41:44Speaker 2: I don't know that girl, but like, what is it
- 41:48Speaker 2: that you can be such a good friend to somebody?
- 41:50Speaker 2: And oftentimes like we saw Rachel even like ask Ariana,
- 41:55Speaker 2: you know, how's things going with you and Tom? And
- 41:57Speaker 2: I've heard other people saying that we're, Like.
- 42:00Speaker 3: A temperature gauge? In the mom world.
- 42:02Speaker 2: They're like confessing to their friend that like their marriage
- 42:06Speaker 2: is bad and the whole time the friend is screwing
- 42:08Speaker 2: the husband and the friend is like, how's things going?
- 42:10Speaker 3: Well, that's not a friend, right? No, it's not a friend.
- 42:12Speaker 5: She's like showing up as a friend, but the intentions
- 42:16Speaker 5: are really sick and demented and it's not okay.
- 42:19Speaker 3: It literally makes me sick too.
- 42:20Speaker 5: It's just not, it's like that brought me back, you
- 42:25Speaker 5: sharing that story and explaining that to me, brought me
- 42:27Speaker 5: back to When I couldn't trust women, like, at all. Like,
- 42:32Speaker 5: I lost trust in both male and female. But, like,
- 42:38Speaker 5: as women, we are supposed to have each other's back. And, yes,
- 42:42Speaker 5: we all make mistakes. But those kind of mistakes, you're
- 42:47Speaker 5: not well.
- 42:48Speaker 6: That's a very sick person.
- 42:50Speaker 3: Yeah, but what if they work out? Amanda and Wes. I...
- 42:55Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 42:56Speaker 2: That's kind of the only way it could work is
- 42:58Speaker 2: if they did work out, but I don't think it will.
- 43:02Speaker 2: I think he wants out and he, now he doesn't
- 43:04Speaker 2: know what to do. And so then they had this
- 43:08Speaker 2: audio leak from when they filmed the reunion and people,
- 43:12Speaker 2: the first thought was people thought, did he leak it
- 43:15Speaker 2: to like get himself fired or something? It turns out
- 43:18Speaker 2: now they're saying, no, it was someone on production and,
- 43:22Speaker 2: I immediately from the beginning thought, no, production did it
- 43:25Speaker 2: to keep us talking. And it was juicy to hear
- 43:27Speaker 2: them all fighting and accusing each other of stuff, but
- 43:29Speaker 2: it wasn't anything that we wouldn't have expected. So I
- 43:33Speaker 2: didn't think it was like a bombshell moment where someone yelled.
- 43:37Speaker 2: fine we started fucking june 4th like it was nothing
- 43:40Speaker 2: like that it was just them arguing with each other
- 43:43Speaker 2: so is.
- 43:43Speaker 5: There a second season of this that's with the same
- 43:46Speaker 5: cast this is this is going on.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Right now they just did the reunion so we'll see
- 43:50Speaker 2: this in like a few more weeks and right now
- 43:53Speaker 2: they're together right now amanda and and west are together
- 43:57Speaker 2: but they said they're both quitting the show or something
- 43:59Speaker 2: i don't know if that's true but.
- 44:01Speaker 6: I have a question yeah when you were with the person.
- 44:06Speaker 5: And everything was going on in the media.
- 44:07Speaker 6: Did you ever feel like the pressure, like I have
- 44:11Speaker 6: to make this work?
- 44:13Speaker 2: Because you, because it did start from an affair.
- 44:16Speaker 7: Right.
- 44:17Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Like the extra pressure of
- 44:18Speaker 2: like saving face because the public, you know, it was
- 44:24Speaker 2: sort of not a good thing the way it started.
- 44:27Speaker 4: No, I never felt that pressure of it needs to work.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Not at all.
- 44:33Speaker 5: Um, That's interesting because I feel like a lot of
- 44:35Speaker 5: people like this. I'm sure they're really feeling the.
- 44:37Speaker 6: Pressure of like, wow, we just kind of made this.
- 44:41Speaker 2: We blew up our lives.
- 44:42Speaker 6: We blew up our lives. Now this has to work.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:44Speaker 4: No, but the pressure of my cast, you know, constantly
- 44:48Speaker 4: having that as like a topic of.
- 44:51Speaker 3: Conversation, I broke.
- 44:53Speaker 4: I ran away from home. I was threatened that there
- 44:57Speaker 4: could be legal action taken if I did not return.
- 45:00Speaker 4: I fell off the grid. I packed my dog up.
- 45:02Speaker 4: I drove 10 hours. Um, to Utah and no one
- 45:07Speaker 4: could get.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Ahold of me.
- 45:08Speaker 2: This was when, right?
- 45:09Speaker 3: This was season, season five.
- 45:11Speaker 2: While you were seeing, while I was seeing him and
- 45:14Speaker 2: we didn't know who he was.
- 45:15Speaker 4: Right. Because, and I had hounded about like, this doesn't
- 45:19Speaker 4: make sense. Why is there, why does it take so
- 45:21Speaker 4: long to get divorced? Why are people saying that you're
- 45:25Speaker 4: still married? Like, why is, you know, why is my
- 45:28Speaker 4: cast member saying that they saw the two of you,
- 45:32Speaker 4: you know, in photos, like I was just, I was,
- 45:37Speaker 4: my gut was speaking to me, putting the pieces together
- 45:40Speaker 4: to where I cracked under pressure. Production was banging on
- 45:43Speaker 4: my apartment door. I was supposed to leave to go on. Um,
- 45:48Speaker 4: I think it was one of the cast members birthday
- 45:50Speaker 4: trips where they had rented an RV. And I was like,
- 45:52Speaker 4: I'm not fucking putting myself in that situation to be
- 45:54Speaker 4: hounded about this again.
- 45:56Speaker 3: I let them bang on the door.
- 45:58Speaker 4: Once they left, I grabbed my dog and I left
- 46:00Speaker 4: for Utah and then they got in touch with my
- 46:02Speaker 4: mom and said, you know, there may be legal action
- 46:05Speaker 4: taken if she doesn't, she's contractually obligated.
- 46:07Speaker 2: To go back to Vanderpump rules.
- 46:09Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 46:10Speaker 3: At least to sign off and tell us she's out.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Right.
- 46:13Speaker 4: Like we need her story to be wrapped up if
- 46:15Speaker 4: this is what she's choosing to do.
- 46:17Speaker 2: Interesting. Yeah. I remember that then when you came back
- 46:21Speaker 2: to the show.
- 46:22Speaker 4: And I remember he wanted me to leave the show.
- 46:29Speaker 4: And I considered it for half a second before I
- 46:31Speaker 4: was like, this could tee me up for a future.
- 46:36Speaker 4: I'm certainly not going to give something up for anybody.
- 46:40Speaker 2: And that's such a good thing that women need to remember.
- 46:43Speaker 2: When someone's like, what? I've got you. You don't need
- 46:46Speaker 2: to do this dumb thing. But you have to think,
- 46:49Speaker 2: But if this doesn't last forever, if this doesn't, you know, like, yeah,
- 46:53Speaker 2: now I've given up medical school or whatever you're doing
- 46:55Speaker 2: or your, you know, college or your business.
- 46:58Speaker 4: Lady Gaga said it in one of her acceptance speeches.
- 47:01Speaker 4: She said, for all of my women out there who
- 47:03Speaker 4: are trying to choose between a man and their career,
- 47:06Speaker 4: just remember, your career will never wake up in the
- 47:09Speaker 4: middle of the night and tell you it doesn't love
- 47:10Speaker 4: you anymore.
- 47:11Speaker 3: And then she just walked off stage.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Ugh.
- 47:13Speaker 3: So good.
- 47:14Speaker 2: That is so good.
- 47:15Speaker 3: That is so good.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah, yeah.
- 47:18Speaker 3: I needed to hear that. Yeah, really.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Speaking of, you know, shutting it down and going off
- 47:24Speaker 2: to Utah with the dog.
- 47:26Speaker 3: Such a good choice.
- 47:28Speaker 2: Taylor Frankie Paul has, now, I don't know in the
- 47:33Speaker 2: world of TikTok or Instagram, deleting your stuff where you have,
- 47:37Speaker 2: you know, 8 million followers, whatever. I would think if
- 47:41Speaker 2: you do want to come back, at your level, someone
- 47:44Speaker 2: could get ahold.
- 47:44Speaker 3: Of someone on TikTok or Instagram.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Yes. So it's like back, but back in the day,
- 47:48Speaker 2: like for a regular person deleting your Instagram, I remember
- 47:51Speaker 2: Charlie Sheen did it. He was on Twitter. He was
- 47:54Speaker 2: on Twitter. He had like 800,000 followers, which was a
- 47:57Speaker 2: lot or something crazy. And then he just like deleted it.
- 48:00Speaker 2: And I was talking to somebody that like it was
- 48:03Speaker 2: his representation or something. And they were freaking out because
- 48:07Speaker 2: it was like, no, you're not getting those people back.
- 48:09Speaker 2: And that's when he was like tiger blood tweets and
- 48:12Speaker 2: all that. And so anytime she wants to come back,
- 48:16Speaker 2: she can. And they said Mormon Wives is going to
- 48:19Speaker 2: start filming again in Utah as well as the new
- 48:21Speaker 2: cast in the OC. But, and then she, they don't
- 48:26Speaker 2: know when she's going to come back, but she, you know,
- 48:28Speaker 2: is welcome to come back. I was thinking, you know,
- 48:33Speaker 2: I wonder if, yeah, you said liberating?
- 48:36Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 48:36Speaker 2: I was thinking, I'm like, you know, we got to
- 48:38Speaker 2: just think about her right now, you know, in her age.
- 48:41Speaker 2: She's been raised, on this stuff probably since she was
- 48:44Speaker 2: like younger than 10. She probably was able to go
- 48:47Speaker 2: on things and do videos or whatever. She's been making
- 48:50Speaker 2: her money and being a celebrity since 2020. And in, in,
- 48:56Speaker 2: and then exasperating it with the reality show and the Bravo.
- 49:00Speaker 2: And then of course her, her problems with her ex
- 49:02Speaker 2: and her custody issues. I'm like, could she, you know,
- 49:08Speaker 2: just live a normal life for like a year or two?
- 49:10Speaker 2: Could she, actually not post, just be a mom and,
- 49:17Speaker 2: and just go to yoga, go cook. something whatever have
- 49:22Speaker 2: enough money to like live off of work out your
- 49:24Speaker 2: situation with your ex like can someone like that be
- 49:30Speaker 2: okay not being famous not reading the comments not seeing
- 49:33Speaker 2: that their video got two million.
- 49:35Speaker 3: Views i think it becomes like a drug it.
- 49:36Speaker 2: Does i think fame is an addiction And I think
- 49:41Speaker 2: social media is a huge element of that. So there's
- 49:44Speaker 2: like a social media fame addiction where you just get
- 49:49Speaker 2: off on, you know, not just looking at it, but posting,
- 49:53Speaker 2: seeing what people are saying and doing.
- 49:55Speaker 3: I don't have that.
- 49:56Speaker 4: I have many other addictions we've come to find out,
- 49:59Speaker 4: but social media is not one of them.
- 50:01Speaker 3: I deleted Instagram off of my phone.
- 50:05Speaker 4: I want to say like a week and a half ago.
- 50:08Speaker 4: And I have had no problem, like people will send
- 50:11Speaker 4: me things where I have to like open Instagram and
- 50:14Speaker 4: I'm like, I can't see it because I don't have
- 50:16Speaker 4: Instagram right now.
- 50:17Speaker 2: So when you remove Raya or Instagram like from your phone,
- 50:21Speaker 2: that's just like a discipline. It's like throwing away a
- 50:23Speaker 2: chocolate cake.
- 50:24Speaker 4: Because I will mindlessly just go on my phone and
- 50:27Speaker 4: click on it and it's like autopilot because you just
- 50:30Speaker 4: are conditioned to do that. So when I get on
- 50:32Speaker 4: my phone and I don't have anywhere to go, it's like, oh,
- 50:36Speaker 4: I don't need this.
- 50:38Speaker 2: Oh, but then, you know, yes, you can still go.
- 50:40Speaker 2: You didn't lose it. You're just doing it as like
- 50:42Speaker 2: a disciplinarian thing.
- 50:43Speaker 3: Exactly. It's like there's nothing on here for me right now.
- 50:47Speaker 4: And social media makes me feel extremely vulnerable and exposed.
- 50:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:51Speaker 4: And that's kind of a difficult place because obviously my
- 50:59Speaker 4: livelihood and like how I've positioned myself is based off
- 51:03Speaker 4: of like things like that.
- 51:05Speaker 2: Right. It's like, you don't totally have a choice of like,
- 51:08Speaker 2: that's what I'm saying. Like, what is she going to do?
- 51:10Speaker 2: Like she doesn't, you know, um, it'll be, I think she,
- 51:16Speaker 2: I think it's good for her. And if she steps
- 51:17Speaker 2: back into the world, maybe she'll have some parameters to it,
- 51:22Speaker 2: you know, but like, she wasn't like, even when all
- 51:24Speaker 2: the shit was going down, she still was doing videos
- 51:27Speaker 2: with her, you know, shaking her ass and being like,
- 51:29Speaker 2: I don't care. And Like, for a little bit. And
- 51:31Speaker 2: I was like, wow, I would have thought you would
- 51:34Speaker 2: have shut it down for a minute. And so it's
- 51:36Speaker 2: interesting now, weeks later, that the shutdown happened where, you know,
- 51:41Speaker 2: she really realized.
- 51:42Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a dopamine hit.
- 51:43Speaker 2: You know?
- 51:43Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 51:44Speaker 5: Everything's a dopamine hit, whether you're filming the video or
- 51:47Speaker 5: you're swiping. It's like she, I'm sure, like, got advised
- 51:53Speaker 5: by the people that she's getting counseling from or in
- 51:56Speaker 5: therapy for. Like, you have to completely remove.
- 52:00Speaker 3: It's like having.
- 52:01Speaker 6: An ex boyfriend's number still on your phone.
- 52:04Speaker 5: Like, why is he still in your contact? Just like
- 52:06Speaker 5: you have to block and delete. That is how you
- 52:10Speaker 5: stop getting those dopamine hits.
- 52:12Speaker 6: Even just scrolling.
- 52:13Speaker 3: Is it still there?
- 52:13Speaker 5: It's like the science behind it is so real and
- 52:17Speaker 5: it's frightening. And I'm, I'm, I think she made a
- 52:20Speaker 5: really good decision because why re even if she gets
- 52:23Speaker 5: to a place where she feels healthy enough to have that,
- 52:25Speaker 5: you know, on her phone and, and have her account again,
- 52:29Speaker 5: she isn't she needs to start fresh she needs to
- 52:31Speaker 5: have new new memories like why you know it's it's
- 52:34Speaker 5: like tearing the band-aid off or tearing the scab off
- 52:36Speaker 5: like why reopen that.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Yeah and so they they're doing the oc version and
- 52:43Speaker 2: um and bobby who i i'm not gonna say her
- 52:49Speaker 2: name wrong but Bobby, who really became a huge internet star,
- 52:55Speaker 2: she's divorced. She has three kids. She's from Laguna Beach.
- 52:58Speaker 2: And she has that really kind of funny way of speaking,
- 53:02Speaker 2: kind of cadence. She did admit later on that it
- 53:04Speaker 2: was like an act. It was like a character.
- 53:06Speaker 3: Well, I'm impressed by it.
- 53:08Speaker 2: That's great. So then I was like, oh, we shouldn't
- 53:10Speaker 2: have done that. We should have just... kept with your
- 53:13Speaker 2: like weird quirky quirkiness but like.
- 53:15Speaker 3: She's so pretty i do think.
- 53:17Speaker 2: It will be fun to actually get to see her
- 53:20Speaker 2: in this show i think it's a great idea that
- 53:22Speaker 2: they did the oc.
- 53:23Speaker 8: Yeah yeah i'm excited i think there's a lot of
- 53:26Speaker 8: murmurs in the oc and then and then wait did any.
- 53:28Speaker 3: Murmurs is that what you call them yeah a merman oh.
- 53:33Speaker 8: Oh more oh merman oh yeah by the way now
- 53:35Speaker 8: it's lds oh they don't like to be called mormons
- 53:37Speaker 8: yeah i don't i think.
- 53:38Speaker 5: They took the the term mormon out and it's LDS
- 53:42Speaker 5: is Latter-day Saints.
- 53:43Speaker 3: Yeah, so they should be the secret lives of LDS wives.
- 53:46Speaker 6: Yeah, I like the ring to that, actually.
- 53:47Speaker 2: I know, that's shorter. Yeah. Speaking of which, have you
- 53:53Speaker 2: heard of this, like, weird thing people are doing where they, like, do, like,
- 53:58Speaker 2: a jaw crack or something?
- 53:59Speaker 3: Yeah, we want to do it. Amber and I, she
- 54:01Speaker 3: sent me this video, and, like.
- 54:02Speaker 4: I just even watching Leanne cry made me want to
- 54:05Speaker 4: cry because, like, the relief that she felt after he, like,
- 54:09Speaker 4: went in there and was like, And she just starts
- 54:12Speaker 4: sobbing because of how much pressure.
- 54:14Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 54:15Speaker 2: There's some weird things that they put on gloves. And
- 54:19Speaker 2: she did a video, Leanne rhymes, who is married to
- 54:21Speaker 2: Eddie Cibrian, who they were in the news a lot,
- 54:25Speaker 2: like 15 years ago, because he was married to Brandy Glanville,
- 54:29Speaker 2: a real housewives of Beverly Hills. And, then it was
- 54:34Speaker 2: like found out that they were like seen like going
- 54:36Speaker 2: to a hotel and they had done a movie together and,
- 54:39Speaker 2: but they ended up getting married and it was really,
- 54:41Speaker 2: really ugly between Leanne and Brandy. Brandy would, you know,
- 54:46Speaker 2: talk shit and everything. But now in like the last,
- 54:49Speaker 2: I don't know, eight, 10 years, they do Thanksgiving together.
- 54:52Speaker 2: They invite Brandy to everything. And then she just said
- 54:56Speaker 2: they just celebrated like their whatever anniversary, 12 years. But, um,
- 55:01Speaker 2: I do think this stuff is weird, though. Like, I mean,
- 55:04Speaker 2: why not, I guess, have someone stick their finger on
- 55:07Speaker 2: the side of your jaw and, like, what, release your trauma? Oh,
- 55:10Speaker 2: I need that.
- 55:10Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I know. That's what I guess he's,
- 55:12Speaker 3: I'll do it to you. I'll get a glove and
- 55:14Speaker 3: go for it.
- 55:15Speaker 5: I'm going to have to chop a nail off, though,
- 55:18Speaker 5: because this thing will fucking stab you.
- 55:19Speaker 3: Yeah, but maybe the pain will take away from my heartbreak.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Um, I just love looking. I'd like, I'm just into
- 55:25Speaker 2: like backcracking. Oh, this did not turn me on as
- 55:29Speaker 2: much as a backcracking video.
- 55:31Speaker 3: Well, they needed to put the microphone closer to her face.
- 55:34Speaker 3: Whatever happened inside.
- 55:36Speaker 2: And then you see, I don't know if you could
- 55:38Speaker 2: hear it like a backcrack.
- 55:39Speaker 5: No, then you like following these videos that came out,
- 55:42Speaker 5: you see her on stage singing and like now what she,
- 55:45Speaker 5: and I'm just like, something happened.
- 55:48Speaker 3: To her artistically.
- 55:49Speaker 6: And I don't know the sound. It unleashed this, This trauma.
- 55:52Speaker 3: And you see the guys do it. Have you watched
- 55:54Speaker 3: the videos of some of the men doing it?
- 55:55Speaker 4: No.
- 55:55Speaker 6: And they're weeping like little babies.
- 55:57Speaker 2: Really?
- 55:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 55:59Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 55:59Speaker 3: I would go.
- 55:59Speaker 6: I think this guy lives in Florida.
- 56:02Speaker 2: Remember when everybody was doing cupping? What happened with that?
- 56:06Speaker 4: I saw a few basketball players that are playing in
- 56:08Speaker 4: the NBA right now. The playoffs that have cupping on
- 56:11Speaker 4: like their shoulders.
- 56:12Speaker 2: I know. I hate that that's like a look, though.
- 56:15Speaker 2: It looks awful.
- 56:15Speaker 3: You know, what you should do to your feet. I
- 56:18Speaker 3: did see that. You and I watched that. Yeah, the
- 56:20Speaker 3: foot's the big one.
- 56:21Speaker 2: What do you mean the foot?
- 56:22Speaker 3: You just cup in the foot. Yeah.
- 56:25Speaker 4: They do like the heat around it and then they
- 56:27Speaker 4: cup and like pull and then they suction them to
- 56:29Speaker 4: like the heel, middle of the foot, ball of the foot.
- 56:31Speaker 3: But remember when it was like such a.
- 56:32Speaker 2: And then you had to have those big things on
- 56:34Speaker 2: your feet for like a week. No, no, no.
- 56:36Speaker 3: Oh, those big cupping.
- 56:37Speaker 2: Yeah, because like, I mean, it's so weird when you
- 56:39Speaker 2: go to like a party and you see someone like
- 56:40Speaker 2: a strapless dress. They've got like cupping.
- 56:42Speaker 3: On their back.
- 56:43Speaker 4: It was like almost like an accessory, those markings for
- 56:48Speaker 4: actresses on the red carpet.
- 56:50Speaker 3: Everyone had that.
- 56:50Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 56:51Speaker 3: And they would do like the back shot. That's what
- 56:53Speaker 3: I'm saying.
- 56:53Speaker 2: These things go like in a... In like, you know,
- 56:56Speaker 2: a trend. And you're like, oh, is that still a thing?
- 56:59Speaker 3: I love all that shit though. I'll try anything. I'll
- 57:01Speaker 3: try anything too. I'll wear a sweatshirt after.
- 57:03Speaker 2: Remember what people used to do going in? Do you
- 57:06Speaker 2: ever do that anymore? Does anyone do the thing where
- 57:08Speaker 2: you like go and just like sweat off a few pounds?
- 57:11Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 57:11Speaker 2: I feel like that kind of went away.
- 57:13Speaker 3: Like the sleeping bag?
- 57:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and you have to like sweat before the.
- 57:15Speaker 3: I used to do that all the time. That's gross.
- 57:18Speaker 3: It revives you.
- 57:20Speaker 2: Yes.
- 57:20Speaker 3: We need a sauna.
- 57:22Speaker 6: We should put a sauna in the backyard.
- 57:23Speaker 2: Okay. Okay. I think it's a great idea. Yeah, everyone
- 57:25Speaker 2: says you need a red light sauna.
- 57:27Speaker 3: Yes.
- 57:27Speaker 2: So then you can just go in with your whole body.
- 57:29Speaker 3: They have like little pods now.
- 57:30Speaker 2: Yeah, they have them at Costco.
- 57:32Speaker 5: Yeah, I think Costco sells them for like $ 1, 200.
- 57:35Speaker 6: Like a two-person sauna.
- 57:36Speaker 2: Red light sauna.
- 57:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:38Speaker 2: You know, Costco had caviar the other day.
- 57:40Speaker 5: I heard.
- 57:41Speaker 6: I heard it went like sold out like crazy.
- 57:43Speaker 2: It's pretty cute. It comes in like a Tiffany's blue box.
- 57:46Speaker 3: Oh, cute.
- 57:47Speaker 2: But, you know, I feel like when something gets mass
- 57:51Speaker 2: produced and is at Costco, it's like I know. Okay, caviar.
- 57:55Speaker 2: You know, caviar is like now like the truffle of
- 57:57Speaker 2: like 2018. Oh, that makes me sad.
- 58:00Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 58:00Speaker 2: When everyone was like, oh, truffle. We get all excited.
- 58:04Speaker 2: And then now it's like Carl's Jr. has a truffle burger.
- 58:07Speaker 2: And you're like, okay.
- 58:11Speaker 3: Kids, get in the car. We're having a fancy dinner tonight.
- 58:14Speaker 2: Yeah, so kind of like, you know, everyone has their
- 58:17Speaker 2: own caviar line. Everyone's a DJ. Or did you see
- 58:21Speaker 2: that Pretty Mess is a DJ?
- 58:22Speaker 3: I did see that. She's going to DJ Boze's wedding, remember?
- 58:25Speaker 2: Yes, but I think it's like, I love that Erica was,
- 58:29Speaker 2: he's like, how do you like being a DJ, Erica Jane?
- 58:32Speaker 2: And she's like, I love it. Show up, play other
- 58:35Speaker 2: people's music, get out, it's quick, easy money. I'm like,
- 58:38Speaker 2: thank you for being so fucking honest. She's the best.
- 58:41Speaker 3: She's my favorite.
- 58:42Speaker 2: Yeah, of course it's easier than you doing a 90
- 58:45Speaker 2: minute show with 10 gay guys and like squatting and
- 58:49Speaker 2: singing and all that. If you could just go, it's
- 58:53Speaker 2: the best hold your ear and be like one two
- 58:56Speaker 2: three four you know like god i always said my
- 59:00Speaker 2: dream was just to go remember when like kim kardashian
- 59:04Speaker 2: everything was always like in vegas just getting paid to
- 59:06Speaker 2: like do an appearance yeah yeah and i was like
- 59:08Speaker 2: oh do you think i could ever just get to
- 59:10Speaker 2: that level just getting paid to show up that's it
- 59:12Speaker 2: don't have to talk to anybody that's the dream don't
- 59:15Speaker 2: have to don't have to play the record i remember
- 59:17Speaker 2: don't have to sing don't have to stand up.
- 59:19Speaker 4: But like what would i appear to do now like Yeah,
- 59:23Speaker 4: and we're also going to get you bottle service.
- 59:24Speaker 3: Like, all right. A nice bottle of Perrier.
- 59:27Speaker 2: You know, I have no business being in a club.
- 59:29Speaker 2: So you would do that. You'd do the nightclub thing.
- 59:32Speaker 3: Back in the day when I first started on Bravo, yeah.
- 59:35Speaker 2: And what would that pay?
- 59:36Speaker 3: Oh, God, I couldn't even tell you. Maybe $ 10, 000?
- 59:41Speaker 2: So they'd hook you up the whole weekend. See, what
- 59:43Speaker 2: I would love.
- 59:44Speaker 4: Yeah, they'd pay for your room and, like, your food
- 59:46Speaker 4: and whatnot. And then you'd go to the club and
- 59:48Speaker 4: you could bring, like, your friends if you wanted. They
- 59:50Speaker 4: had to pay for their own flights, whatever. And then
- 59:52Speaker 4: it was like unlimited drinking. And then here's your check.
- 59:55Speaker 2: You know what it really turns me on is what
- 59:58Speaker 2: makes me envious is like when I see, you know,
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: all the influencers and everything that are like, oh, we're
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: doing this. I'm like, okay, so how does this work?
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Like someone just does organize the whole thing. Here's your flight.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Miguel is going to pick you up from the airport.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: You're going to go over here. Here's your itinerary. Be
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: ready at four. The car is going to pick you up.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: We're going to take you, drop you off right at
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: the place. Here's your VIP tickets or an artist pass.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: And like, you don't have to think about anything.
- 1:00:26Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: That's the life. God. I, that's what I just like.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Someone's like, you know, you can just hire a travel agent.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: I go, I guess I could. I don't know. It
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: just seems so nice if someone else was just like
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: doing it for you. You know what?
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: I feel this way about making, when I see my
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: friends that are making a lot of money doing shop my,
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: or like all these brands are just selling clothes.
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: I'm like, they make it look so easy.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: And I was like, you know what?
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: Maybe I'll do that as like, I have like.
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: An hour a day just dedicate doing that, doing my
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: style or my makeup, whatever I want.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: And then I go to do it. I'm like, This
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: is fucking hard.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: No, it's so hard.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: Why is it so hard? The shot mine is hard?
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: Well, just everything.
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: Everything.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: That's why when people like shit on influencers, like the
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: joy that people had that like there was a windy
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: day at Stagecoach and like, you know, because it's like, good.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Now those fuckers now. I'm like, what? What is wrong
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: with you?
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: Like.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: It was wind for 45 minutes and it was okay,
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: but it did fuck up some people's trip. Why would
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: you be happy just because you're squatting in the basement
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: like baby reindeer stalker? Like who cares? Why are you
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: such a mean about it?
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: I know people are so cold, but I did. I
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: had like a moment of doing socials like influencer style socials.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: It was the hardest thing I've ever done.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: Because you kept like doing it wrong.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: You're like, hey, you didn't do the hashtag right. No,
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: like the original setup was like I brought on a
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: social media guy. He would send me what I needed
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: to capture and he came. And by the way, he's
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: freaking fantastic. I just am not into social media like that.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Like I dreaded the days when he was like, hey,
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: we're going to get content this week. I would literally,
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: I'm like, this is worse than getting my nails done.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: Like I... do not enjoy this. I was like a zombie.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: I like suddenly needed a nap at just the thought
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: of it. So he comes over though to like teach
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: me how I'm going to do things. And here's the
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: app that we're going to use. Once you've downloaded this app,
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: this is where you upload your videos.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: I go, here's the deal.
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: I want you to let me know how much I
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: can pay you to do all of this, where you come.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: You set up the lighting. I just like am the
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: talking head. And then you edit the videos. It's a
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: lot of fucking work.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: And then I felt way too exposed.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: I'm like, why do I have a video every single
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: day going up on my feed?
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: Like now I'm feeling very out there.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: There was a video I saw recently where it's like
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: a little boy. He's like, you know, eight or something.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: And the mom is on the couch. And it's one
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: of those videos, you know, short clips of like, you know,
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: where someone just shows you their day making their coffee,
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: making their bed, whatever. But you end up watching the
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: whole thing. And so... But it was the kid was like,
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: you know, took the baby, strapped the baby, cleaned up
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: the kitchen, put a blanket over the mother. And everyone's like,
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: that's a great man. I'm like, you made him fucking
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: do this. Somebody is filming this thing. You're pretending to
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: be asleep on the couch. Yeah. Why are you like, like,
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: why are you making your son.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: A trad wife? It's called creating a viral moment.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: Right. Exactly.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: Yeah. It's all fake.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: But I'm always, I always love to go to the
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: common and have one person finally write that like, okay,
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: but like, You had them do all this. Someone had
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: to film it. Someone had to move the camera eight
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: different spots.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: Then edit it all together. You know, if you didn't
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: do that, you probably wouldn't be sleep deprived and make
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: your eight-year-old breastfeed your child. You probably could do it yourself.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: I know, but people, it's interesting how many people still
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: don't understand the production behind certain things.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: Like the amount of messages that I got being like,
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: you should have Brittany, uh, leave Brandon. I'm like, this
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: is not live television.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: It's not.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Are they still dating?
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: No, but like people think they are watching live television.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: And we, we power on film, whatever's go. And there's
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: no like production behind things.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: So it is interesting.
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: Like when you see those, those moments that like make
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: you sad, right. It's like, Oh, in like a good way. Like, Oh,
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: the guy coming home from like, wherever he's been in
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: the dog running up. And it's like a viral moment.
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: This is to make you feel something. That dog could
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: be a fucking actor.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: We don't know.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: But you know, so many of those pet ones are
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: now AI. It's a real, I know.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: And you want to know who's feeding into AI is
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: the older generation.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: Oh yeah. They love it. They're like, did you see
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: the deer that brought over its baby and brought a
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: cake and thanked the person that helped them, uh, get
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: out of the net? You know, like you're like, Wait,
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: and I, yeah.
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: You guys, during the wildfire. Yeah.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: Devastating.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: My mom goes, look at these firefighters.
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: And they're going into flames, carrying out like baby reindeers
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: or fox. And I'm like, mom, that is not real.
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: That's who they're targeting. Yeah, Lisa. The Lisas of the world.
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: She believed it. I'm like, no, it's not real. Doesn't
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: even look real. Anyway, moving on.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Well, I love that you guys talk on your show
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: and it's a great, great, uh, name for a podcast
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: and unlikely affair being your history and your friendship. How
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: did you come up with the name?
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: Well, I think we're on a, like a massive, you know,
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: thread with a bunch of different people at iHeart and ourselves.
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: And we were just like, let's just rip it and
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: let's see what comes up.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: And then.
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: Somehow that name came in the mix and it was like.
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I think, well, you and I were wanting like
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: an affair to be brought into it. And I definitely
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: wanted on to be part of it because it's untraditionally Lala.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: I wanted to like stick with that. And, um, it was,
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: it's just such a perfect name.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:06:19Speaker 6: When you know, when you, you know, when you know,
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: that's what I was trying to say.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: The moment.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: Yes. And, um, And what made you decide to say
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: goodbye to Give Them Lala?
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: I just felt like it was.
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: So juvenile and represented a part of my life that
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: I was just like no longer in. Like it was
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: created when I was with that person. And then even
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: like the beauty and skin line was like connected to
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: that person. The fucking book I wrote where the dedication page.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: Oh, by the way, it's right behind.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: By the way, I love the cover. I've never looked better.
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: But the dedication page was like talking to him.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: And I was like, I'm just, I don't want it anymore.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: Like, I need a divorce from this.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: I think it's great. I think it's great that you,
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: you know, make that break. Well, I'm so glad you
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: guys came, and it was really so interesting and juicy.
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: Thank you for having us. Yeah, thank you.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Everybody, follow them. Check out the podcast, Unlikely Affair and
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: Untraditionally Lala. And, of course, The Valley is on every
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: Tuesday night.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: Are we on Tuesdays or Wednesdays? I think we're on Wednesdays.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: Oh, you probably get it on Tuesdays, though, too.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: No, I don't.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: I mean.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: I don't understand how TV works anymore. So I basically want,
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: I have to watch it the next day on Peacock. Peacock.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: I can understand.
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: Because it literally tells you new episode Thursday.
- 1:07:33Speaker 7: Oh, maybe.
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: Okay. Maybe. Yeah. Well, I'm caught up in it, but
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: I don't know what days these things are on. And
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Rhode Island is all about the cheating. So. Oh, it's
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: so good.
- 1:07:44Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: That's a good one.
