[SPEAKER_01]: Hello!
0:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to Women's Future in the Milk High Best.
0:09
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a member of that town with rear.
0:11
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just getting off of flight and before I get into that, we're talking breakout players on offense in the NFL today.
0:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Albert's got to, I've got to.
0:22
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to make a case why these people are going to dominate and quite possibly, I know this is what you care about out there when your fantasy football league.
0:30
[SPEAKER_01]: But before we get there,
0:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to ask Albert who's a master of travel if he's ever encountered something like this before.
0:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I walked on to a 445 flight from Houston to Newark last night in my middle seat, okay, because what happened was change my flights a bunch of times because I was doing an interview, didn't know when it was going to end and so you're trying to match that time.
0:53
[SPEAKER_00]: So I it was that's when I would do I probably booked the last possible flight and then try to move it up.
0:59
[SPEAKER_01]: So I had I had like a 245 and then I kicked it to a 445, but then the 445 got delayed to 645 and the 245 got delayed to 445.
1:08
[SPEAKER_01]: So then I bumped it back to the 245 got right the last minute.
1:12
[SPEAKER_00]: The United app actually makes this really not having a checked bag is important in a situation.
1:16
[SPEAKER_01]: It's very important.
1:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
1:18
[SPEAKER_01]: And so I get on the plane and I'm walking around and I look at my seats and middle seat.
1:24
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the guy, there's a woman on the end, she lets me in and then there's a guy in the window seat.
1:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, okay, you know, everything's cool.
1:33
[SPEAKER_01]: And flight starts.
1:35
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the woman leans over me to address the man in the window seat.
1:40
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm looking at both of them.
1:43
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I was like,
1:46
[SPEAKER_01]: You guys married and they're like, yeah, and I was like, do you want to switch seats to sit next to each other?
1:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, no.
1:54
[SPEAKER_01]: And so the whole flight, like,
2:00
[SPEAKER_01]: when they're trying to talk to each other they're just like I'm working on a story I got my laptop out I'm in the middle seat and then they're just leaning over me and talking and then like you know like why wouldn't that makes no sense snap comes and the husband's like you know get me the thing you got me last time with the like he's trying to figure out what like a
2:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Why would you just switch with me?
2:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, what you just sit with your wife?
2:29
[SPEAKER_01]: What would you just sit with your wife?
2:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
2:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And I get a whole problem with being...
2:35
[SPEAKER_00]: The whole problem with being in the middle seat.
2:38
[SPEAKER_00]: And especially like I'm like weirdly long like it, right?
2:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Like so like the whole problem with being in the middle seat is that if you are like decent sized at all, the arm rests like our tight.
2:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's nowhere to put your legs, right?
2:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Your legs have to be like facing straight forward.
3:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And
3:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you're sitting next to your wife that becomes a lot less of an issue because she can just lean into like whatever you know what I mean you're not worried about like not offending the person next to you anymore so the issue with being in the middle seat is actually completely gone when you're sitting next to your wife you know yeah yeah so yeah that's just weird
3:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I, so, and it'd be one thing if they just preferred the window in the aisle, if they just prefer, I've never had this happen by the way, to answer your question, Connor.
3:37
[SPEAKER_00]: It's wild, but if they just preferred the window in the aisle, that's fine, but then don't like carry on as if there's no one sitting in between you.
3:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, and I think that might have been it where, you know, was it the whole flight or was it just for bursts?
3:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I would say bursts, but then it was funny because there was two guys behind us who I think came from the world cup and they were loudly dissecting the match in a different language, but I picked up a few words that let me to believe that they were talking very excitedly about soccer.
4:18
[SPEAKER_01]: And, as this couple is like leaning over me.
4:22
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's got some stalker around people these days.
4:25
[SPEAKER_01]: They got a lot, they got to let this stuff go.
4:27
[SPEAKER_01]: But as these people were, as these people were talking, the lady leaned over again and is like squishing my arm and she's like says to her husband, can you believe how loud these people have been talking for the last three hours?
4:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm like,
4:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so now you're potentially like a middle of a fight.
4:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm in the middle of an international dispute I'm in the middle of a marital dispute because here's the other thing, right?
4:55
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is the part I forgot to mention there's stuff going on with the couple too because the husband takes the phone and shoves it into the wife's face and I don't know if he's talking about a kid or a dog
5:08
[SPEAKER_01]: or whatever it is.
5:09
[SPEAKER_01]: But he said, tell this thing to learn how to sit on my couch.
5:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not ruining my couch.
5:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you're talking about a kid.
5:17
[SPEAKER_01]: They're looking at something on a security camera.
5:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what it is.
5:21
[SPEAKER_01]: But like so there's mayoral dispute going on left and right.
5:24
[SPEAKER_01]: International dispute going back behind me.
5:26
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just here trying to write a great magazine story in the middle seat.
5:31
[SPEAKER_01]: So that was the tough start to the way to the work week.
5:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
5:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I, I, I, I, that that's, I just,
5:42
[SPEAKER_00]: like because you actually like a lot of times you have to pay more for the window in the aisle, which means they were literally paying to sit apart from each other, right?
5:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Mike.
5:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
5:51
[SPEAKER_00]: But then it's not bad enough for they're not talking to each other.
5:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
5:56
[SPEAKER_00]: My guess.
5:56
[SPEAKER_00]: It just makes no sense.
5:58
[SPEAKER_01]: My guess is that they tried to pull the Okidoq where if the middle and the aisle or where the aisle and the window were taken that no one would have taken.
6:06
[SPEAKER_00]: They have no one yes, but then they have the whole row.
6:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they're they're trying to maximize.
6:10
[SPEAKER_01]: And here comes
6:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, well, I know that I talking to Albert, he was on his way home from what Cross turned him at this weekend.
6:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Lots of bustling, lots of good time, lots of travel.
6:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Father's Day, not really, for either of us, is essentially what the, yeah, I was, although we did stop at Zupardy's Pizza and West Haven, Connecticut, which is like, honestly, like, I, so the last thing you have to order it.
6:39
[SPEAKER_00]: We're on one island a couple times a year for lacrosse at least and so the last time we were down there was mothers to we can actually and we were coming back
6:49
[SPEAKER_00]: a couple of good buddies in mind from town here who's kids playing my kids club map briar and Spencer Marquitos Marquitos is actually a buck eye they had like so Spencer is from that area of Connecticut and from Fairfield County in Connecticut and so he told us we have to stop as do parties in the way back back in May.
7:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, it didn't wind up working out because they, I was ahead of them, and they, and then Matt text me, he's like, you call it a head, right?
7:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, no.
7:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And so apparently like, you have to like, the places are zoo.
7:26
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, and it's like, just in a neighborhood, it's like this, this house, it's, anyway.
7:30
[SPEAKER_00]: So we wound up calling an audible and going to Frank Pepe's,
7:39
[SPEAKER_00]: So this time we planted out better and Zupardis was a plus.
7:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, really, really good.
7:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I actually wish I had ordered the sausage because that's what they're apparently known for, but yeah, Zupardis, Pizza, and West Haven, Connecticut was phenomenal.
7:54
[SPEAKER_01]: You crush it in the bar.
7:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's even eating it.
7:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Like my experience eating it was because we wanted to get home.
7:59
[SPEAKER_00]: And I got Steve and his buddy in the car.
8:02
[SPEAKER_00]: We just ordered two large pizzas and ate it on the drive, which is like, it's like a coal fire pizza.
8:10
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, it's stiff enough where you took, you can eat it while you're driving.
8:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
8:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
8:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we took, we had an extra pie that we brought home and heated up when we had home.
8:20
[SPEAKER_01]: There's very few car like so I mean we're always back and forth from the cabin with the kids and our favorite places to stop or always like for ice cream you can I'm a cup guy not a cone guy Yeah, I can be hard to cup cups impossible driving
8:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I can drive up my thighs, but like, it's not a great idea.
8:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I've gotten into a few fights with the wife over like, you know, I feel like I got a clean swath of highway to take a bite ice cream and then maybe it gets a little dicey and we start leaning into the other lane and uh,
8:51
[SPEAKER_01]: you know, so it's like, okay, so everybody else could see their ice cream and I got to wait until mine's melted at a stop light and just wolf it down like an animal.
8:57
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, uh, pizza, like a good stiff pizza is the perfect car food.
9:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, now you can get into like burgers and chicken nuggets and all that stuff, but that's like fast food that's McDonald's.
9:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm looking to upgrade my experience a little bit.
9:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm I'm 38, you know, I think life at some point, you know, we got to make it a little bit better for ourselves.
9:16
[SPEAKER_01]: So,
9:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and this is like, and this is perfect that like, because it was like, it's just chart enough, you know what I mean like where you get it and like if you see like I post a picture of it, you can see it's like a little bit of the flop at the very end, but like once you get that bite down, you're good.
9:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like one of those that's like sliced into like, this is a new Avan style, it's sliced into like 16 slices instead of eight, you know?
9:40
[SPEAKER_00]: So they're each very easy to eat while you're driving.
9:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Now that you guys know all that.
9:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, we're gonna see us in our black t-shirts the next time.
9:51
[SPEAKER_00]: You're watching this, like we're working.
9:53
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're watching on YouTube, we know we are not starting like a bar security company.
9:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, it looks like, uh, uh, oh, God, what is that place?
10:03
[SPEAKER_00]: The, um, looks like maybe the guys that are standing out of drinks outside of drinks we did the post-doc.
10:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we, uh, it, uh, it looks,
10:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, it looks like we are, uh, we're shift managing it Buffalo Wild Wings and we are.
10:22
[SPEAKER_01]: We're getting ready for a big crowd for the World Cup games.
10:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I got my little head set on.
10:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm ready.
10:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like Howard.
10:31
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a six top on, uh, there's a six top over here.
10:33
[SPEAKER_00]: It's your earpiece.
10:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
10:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
10:35
[SPEAKER_00]: These look like heavy hitters.
10:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Make sure to make sure to refill those water glasses.
10:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
10:41
[SPEAKER_01]: but the uh... i think this is an interesting time because couple of the guys that we're going to bring up by bringing up one you are sort of leaving out another and i think that it's part of kind of like a multi-faceted conversation which so i want to go first because when i decided uh... we're talking about offensive breakout candidates when i decided on a martian hampton
11:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and I have a wider receiver for my second one.
11:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I think what I realized at the time is that I'm also saying that I'm buying in slightly more on O'Marion Hampton and Mike McDaniel's new offense than I am Ashden Gentie in Clint Kubiax new offense, right?
11:24
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's an interesting, that's an interesting component there.
11:27
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think if you read the T-Leaves,
11:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Both of these guys in Kubeak and McDaniel both went out and got their own guys or have been talking up other guys outside of the bell cow on the team when Kubeak got the job.
11:42
[SPEAKER_01]: He was talking about how important it was to have like two or three people like Ash and Gentie in the room.
11:49
[SPEAKER_01]: And so really this is just you're flying blind a little bit.
11:53
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a similar system in theory that tends to produce really great running backs.
11:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Both of them are three down guys in theory.
12:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I like Omarion Hampton.
12:04
[SPEAKER_01]: I think is that breakout can it just a little bit more than Ash and Jenny do you think I'm crazy for that?
12:09
[SPEAKER_00]: No I'm like I actually agree and that if you hadn't given me the names your names first and I might have taken him like I think he classic moved by me by the way I just take the take the good ones to be like how we're doing this
12:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the combination of, like, Jim Harbaugh's ethos, right?
12:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
12:31
[SPEAKER_00]: And Mike makes an annual system.
12:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the vision for a mulmari in Hampton was give me what I had in Frank or in San Francisco, you know, all those years ago for Jim Harbaugh.
12:46
[SPEAKER_00]: And like I think Hampton's interesting because he's also going to have the benefit of having the two tackles back, presuming they can stay healthy and that's Joe all in Rochon Slater.
12:57
[SPEAKER_00]: What I mean Mike McDaniel needs as much as anything else to run his offense is a like a beyond the obvious is a smart center right so they bring in Tyler be honest to play center for them and I think that's going to be huge.
13:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I mean, I think like outside of that, you look at the tight end position, which I think is going to is in his integral and any offense to moving safeties out of the box right like and being able to avoid playing with eight man fronts and they bring in Charlie Colar.
13:29
[SPEAKER_00]: and David and Joku, they've got her on to gas in here.
13:33
[SPEAKER_00]: There's just so many pieces that I really like.
13:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Their tray hair has come back.
13:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I got the keys to break up, Canada, too.
13:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Lad McConkey, I think will be better in his second year.
13:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I just, you had all that together.
13:43
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, there's just going to be a lot for people to account for in that offense, you know?
13:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Even without like a Julio Jones type of number one receiver, there's a lot to deal with.
13:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that only benefits somebody like Captain and was, again, that ethos that Jim Harba brings to the table.
14:02
[SPEAKER_00]: You're talking about, you know, an effective running game.
14:05
[SPEAKER_00]: A head coach is going to be committed to it.
14:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I think Omar and Hampton could go for 14 or 15 hundred yards.
14:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you have the Keaton Mitchell issue and not issue, right?
14:17
[SPEAKER_01]: But you have the Keaton in the middle of it all, where Mike McDaniels literally printing out wanted posters with Keaton Mitchell's face on it and slamming it on the GM's door.
14:26
[SPEAKER_01]: And he gets them, right?
14:28
[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think if you're a, you know,
14:31
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're a Marian Hampton fantasy devotee, if you're just someone who cares at all about this, I think that probably gives you some cause for concern, but here's my like twisted chaos theory on it all, okay?
14:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Well Marian Hampton is a really good Gap scheme runner last year.
14:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Mike McDaniel is on the Shandahantry, and while I think it's a bit of a misnomer,
14:54
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, shanahan, they like to get their running backs to the outside.
14:58
[SPEAKER_01]: They like dominate the outside, right, with outside zone running.
15:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that the NFL after just getting pummeled by this four years.
15:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I think last year, there was a couple really good defenses that finally figured out enough, right, and that was the Jim Schwartz tree.
15:16
[SPEAKER_01]: If you wide nine, you're shutting down.
15:20
[SPEAKER_01]: outside zone, or at least you're preventing.
15:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you just have to be able to set edges, you know, like that's the biggest.
15:26
[SPEAKER_01]: But wide nine, too, is even more, it's almost like doing that on steroids, right?
15:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Especially if you're widening with Miles Garrett, you're widening with Will Anderson or something like that, right?
15:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Whole ideas to strength the field, right?
15:37
[SPEAKER_00]: So you want to, you want to strength the field, and you want to like kind of force everything back inside, which is, it becomes simple math.
15:44
[SPEAKER_00]: You have more players inside on it like that, you know?
15:47
[SPEAKER_01]: So for people who are saying, well, Keaton Mitchell is going to fit more into Mike McDaniel's run game.
15:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I think Mike McDaniel has got to fit his run game more to do what Omarion Hampton does, which is he's a little bit better of a gap runner, right?
16:02
[SPEAKER_01]: He's he's a physical, right?
16:05
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's a guy that's going to break tackles.
16:07
[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to set the tone whereas, you know, Mitchell is good and you'll get the ball and you'll get your home runs out of Mitchell, but like
16:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm personally not worried about him in relation to Hampton, like I think that McDaniel's run scheme is versatile enough anyway, it's not like these guys are just running outside zone every play again, I think that's a huge misnomer, but I do think that it's one of those things where the freak out over this and oh there's other players in the McDaniel likes other stuff.
16:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I think this charger's offense is set up to produce a really good down-over-down running game and for everybody that's like Mike McDaniel's gonna blow up just in Herbert.
16:40
[SPEAKER_01]: He's not, here's my prediction, Justin Herbert's not gonna have his best season statistically, but Omarion Hampton is.
16:47
[SPEAKER_01]: This is more about the run game that it is the passing game.
16:49
[SPEAKER_01]: That's my, that's my bold takeaway here.
16:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me ask you this.
16:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Why, what reason is there that the chargers won't be really, really, really good?
17:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, Albert, we've had a version of this conversation on this podcast every year since 2018.
17:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I know, I mean, maybe it's like losing Jesse Mentor, right?
17:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, which doesn't big loss, but I think Chris O'Leary's been like sort of trained to do it really good.
17:19
[SPEAKER_00]: And like, Chris O'Leary had the same sort of trajectory as some of these other guys, right?
17:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, which is like, Mike Donald and Jesse Mentor went to college.
17:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Mike Donald was at Michigan for a year, came back to run the Ravens defense.
17:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Mentor was at Vanderbilt.
17:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Then Michigan for two years, things run in the charges defense.
17:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Chris O'Leary for a number of different reasons went to Western Michigan last year, and got to run a defense, now it's a different level of course.
17:46
[SPEAKER_00]: But now he's coming back with play calling experience and having had the experience of working under a mentor before that.
17:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't, I mean, look, like, mean, people,
18:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you'll pay attention to, like, how good, like, to a pillow to has become for them on the edge, right?
18:09
[SPEAKER_00]: A key method or a collial Mac, tar heaps still is a really good young corner for them.
18:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Darwin James, one of the best players in football, they got bigger on the interior, you know, or Dan, how it handling is a really good off-ball line backer.
18:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I just, you start, you just, like, look at the group.
18:25
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, I mean, I don't know why this,
18:29
[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't going to take off the way I did for for Jim Harba on San Francisco.
18:33
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
18:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't I don't know the the Charlie Colour and Alec Engold of it all was what sold me right yeah because when you can upgrade your infrastructure you can get this team and it's not like the chargers didn't have a good fullback a good blocking back I mean they did but if you can maximize
18:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Scott Matlock is one of my favorite players.
18:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, you know, just like a 320 pound ginger, just like chokes lamb and people.
19:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, like last year, I mean, everything about him was perfect.
19:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember like last year he was wearing like, they put him in a different color jersey because it was like, he's not offensive defense.
19:12
[SPEAKER_00]: They gave him like this like black jersey, which was like the coolest thing ever.
19:16
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the fact that like he's named Matlock, which is like the name of the 80s show.
19:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like fucking it's just so perfect.
19:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Harbaw in so many ways.
19:27
[SPEAKER_00]: They Scott Matt likes one of the most perfect.
19:29
[SPEAKER_00]: And now he's like, I guess going to have to make the team as a déliment because Anne Gold's there.
19:32
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I mean, what a disrespect.
19:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Scott Matt Lock.
19:36
[SPEAKER_01]: You could come play for my team, buddy.
19:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, I don't know.
19:42
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that again, I would be willing to bet that amid all the
19:48
[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, when Mike McDonald goes over there, we're like Justin Herbert's gonna throw for 5,000 yards.
19:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And then, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
20:05
[SPEAKER_01]: uh, maybe Keaton Mitchell is the more efficient back.
20:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
20:08
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that Omariah and Hampton are yours is is the guy that is the bell cal in my hundred bull predictions.
20:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I have been leading the NFL and rushing.
20:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
20:17
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why he's my breakout candidate.
20:19
[SPEAKER_01]: That's my thoughts on that.
20:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Give me one of yours Albert.
20:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
20:22
[SPEAKER_00]: So my first one is going to be a Houston taxon.
20:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Jaden Higgins.
20:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
20:27
[SPEAKER_00]: He became a starter last year's sort of a spot starter for them.
20:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Got better as the year went on.
20:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I know a lot of like, and I felt people who really liked him coming out.
20:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I also look at a, this is sort of similar to what happened with, um, if you remember with, uh, Christian Watson with Green Day where the packers traded down and they probably would have taken Watson in them, like the 20s and there was no receiver taken from that point to the point that they traded down to, or no, they didn't trade down.
20:59
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the year, I'm wrong.
21:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me correct myself.
21:02
[SPEAKER_00]: That was, uh, that was the, that was the Devante Adams trade year.
21:05
[SPEAKER_00]: So they wound that they had a high second rounder and they didn't take a receiver at whatever was 20.
21:11
[SPEAKER_00]: And this really took Quay Walker, probably would help if I did some research on this before.
21:15
[SPEAKER_00]: But like they could have taken Watson 20 second overall, whatever it was, they wind up getting Watson in the 30s.
21:20
[SPEAKER_00]: He's a good player for them.
21:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, in this case, the Texans traded down from 25, where the Giants traded up to get Jackson Dart and no receiver went between that point and 34, where they got Higgins.
21:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
21:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I still got the next best receiver after Matthew Golden went off the board at 23.
21:33
[SPEAKER_00]: And I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I,
21:43
[SPEAKER_00]: everything I've heard about Higgins, and I like the talent, I like the reputation he and J.L.
21:51
[SPEAKER_00]: and Noel had coming out of Iowa State was pristine, typical Matt Campbell, hardworking, smart player who has, and he added the physical ability to that, he's as big as Nico Collins.
22:04
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think this is a key here, right?
22:06
[SPEAKER_00]: So I had somebody describe it to me as it's like having a power forward and a small forward.
22:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
22:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
22:14
[SPEAKER_00]: And that like Nico is like the stronger player.
22:17
[SPEAKER_00]: But Higgins is like the looser athlete a little bit faster.
22:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And I just look at it like when when when the Texans break the huddle, Nico Collins is the first guy you're going to be worried about, right?
22:29
[SPEAKER_00]: And so you're going
22:34
[SPEAKER_00]: How do you deal with another guy who's six foot four?
22:38
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're putting resources towards dealing with Nico Collins, because taller receivers generally are difficult to deal with to begin with, but now you've got this other guy on the other side of the field, and like how do you reckon with dealing with two six foot four guys at that level?
22:54
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that plus second year for Nick Kaylee, second year for CJ Straud, in Nick Kaylee's offense,
23:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm an improved offensive line.
23:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I think, you know, Aronte Erserie being in his second ear, why teller, you know, brain smith of against a healthy, I, I just think like Higgins is positioned.
23:18
[SPEAKER_00]: to have a thousand yard season.
23:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And I really like where he stands and just the spot that he's in.
23:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's never really good here.
23:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I was in Houston for many camp.
23:29
[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of buzz, certainly about Higgins there.
23:33
[SPEAKER_01]: And what I think I'd like about him the most is that he's the perfect receiver for Straud right now.
23:40
[SPEAKER_01]: where, you know, and if you watch, well, there's two things here.
23:46
[SPEAKER_01]: If you watch the tape from last year, what's really cool about Higgins is he's doing all of the things like, like, he's just, like, he's not dominating,
23:57
[SPEAKER_01]: But and so sometimes I think people will dismiss him because of that, but it's like watching closely, it's almost like watching some of those old great Patriots wide receivers like he's winning in the margins like he's making really tough catches as he's like going out of bounds, he's like slipping defenders just at the right time and making tough catches and I think that there's a lot of value to that plus the fact that like you know, I mean you look at
24:27
[SPEAKER_01]: And you search for Jaden.
24:30
[SPEAKER_01]: content online right now and then you know the one thing that it's overrated and I think also simultaneously underrated this time of year there's just a swath of videos of him doing speed training and all this work out stuff your that's that's where the big growth happens right is that first real off season where you're not doing combine prep and you're doing actual NFL training and diet and all that stuff all off season you're getting the college out of you.
24:58
[SPEAKER_01]: And so this is when the when when the leap happens.
25:01
[SPEAKER_01]: So I agree with the man.
25:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think that he's a guy that could have an absolutely dominant season.
25:07
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that really, like the Texans fixing that offensive line is going to be such a propeller for the rest of this stuff.
25:14
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just going to cascade from there.
25:15
[SPEAKER_00]: That's I think like the other thing is to it's just kind of like you look at the quarter mess history and
25:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Like CJ Stroud had his greatest success at Ohio State throwing to Marvin Harrison Jr. And Marvin Harrison Jr. is another one of these big taller receiver.
25:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Like so he sort of fits stylistically.
25:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you C.C.J.
25:38
[SPEAKER_00]: he really knows how to give a guy like that a chance at a ball, you know what I mean like and he really knows how to and so I think that there's going to be something that lines up there too and that he did that in college and he's done it as a pro now at Nico Collins and so I just I like the match.
25:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I like this spot.
25:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I like all of that with Higgins.
25:58
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
25:58
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to give you another one and
26:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I think for a lot of people, it's gonna be like an eye roll to be like, okay, yeah, I mean, you're not exactly telling us that, you know, there's there's a moon in a sun, but it's kind of that obvious, but Luther burden from Chicago 47 catches for 652 yards last year and six rushes for 37 yards.
26:21
[SPEAKER_01]: All of that I think is going to change and I mean the bears might have cut D. J. more You know, I think to make room for Luther Bird in any way, but the trade materialized with Buffalo and they get D. J. more out of there Ben Johnson liked D. J. more, but he loves Luther Bird and he won't stop talking about Luther Bird in the soft season And I think if Ben Johnson is excited about it, you know, it's not like
26:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, there's the Jamison Williams trap where it's maybe boomer bust.
26:51
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like it wasn't Detroit, but this feels different to me, Albert.
26:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the other thing too, that's sort of interesting about that, is like, it's not just that look, like I mean, this guy was a high-end high school recruit.
27:04
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
27:05
[SPEAKER_00]: So this guy's been on the radar for a while, and I think we've all known the talent has been there for a long time from the day he stepped foot on the campus at Missouri, right?
27:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Think beyond just that, like when a guy comes out, when Ben Johnson comes out and says something like that, it always gets my attention because like, oh, he thinks he can handle it, you know what I mean, like, and and I think coaches are very intentional about those sorts of things, where when they say something about someone it's like, especially when it's somebody like burden who I think, you know, there were some questions character wise on him coming out.
27:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Like when you've actually come out and say it and you put it on the kids' shoulders, you're implicitly saying, I think you can handle having that pressure on him.
27:53
[SPEAKER_00]: And I actually think he might benefit from having that pressure on him.
27:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, you know.
27:58
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think there's that piece of it.
27:59
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you know, you look into Troy and what,
28:03
[SPEAKER_00]: He was able to do what Ben was able to do with guys who excel in space, right?
28:07
[SPEAKER_00]: So, and it's not just receivers.
28:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, Jamison Williams, and Cleveland, frame, and would be examples of that, right?
28:14
[SPEAKER_00]: But I think Jamira Gibbs is an example of it, too, and just the creativity he was able to use and kind of getting players who excel in those areas of the field, he'll be able to find ways to create those sorts of chances for losing her burden, too.
28:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Luther Burden had a really small part of the bearers' offense last season relatively, right?
28:35
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a crowded room.
28:36
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of mouths to feed that offense.
28:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
28:38
[SPEAKER_01]: And Roma Densei had, I think, quite a really good season.
28:42
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think was, was more helpful to Caleb Williams than he's probably gotten credit for.
28:48
[SPEAKER_01]: But the thing about Luther is that, you know, Ben Johnson was,
28:53
[SPEAKER_01]: was designing opportunities to get him the ball because he's a good play call right and he wants talent to guys to get the ball.
29:00
[SPEAKER_01]: But where Luther seemed to be best is, you know, you look at some of the analytics is like, he was just winning as a conventional wide receiver.
29:08
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like on the, you know what I mean?
29:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's not like you needed to gimmick that.
29:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that like he has the hard part down and now that he can be in a more featured player in the offense,
29:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is a situation where you have to imagine that is well, and I think sometimes you don't like lose like how important that is, right?
29:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think with a player like this, again, it was like pretty raw coming out and they were creative in the way they got on the bot, Missouri.
29:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Like you can't
29:38
[SPEAKER_00]: it's hard to play a guy like that a lot who's just that when he becomes a pro because the minute the guy enters the game the defense can be like all right like there's something weird going to happen something weird is about to happen you know what I mean like you're basically announcing to everyone like here's what like work like something something off script is coming
29:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Like when he can play the position conventionally, that's when he becomes really dangerous because that's like when like, okay, they break the huddle you don't know, you know, and that's what you're trying to avoid is an offense is like you're trying to avoid it's like having the tight end who can't block.
30:13
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
30:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, he's he's lining up in line.
30:15
[SPEAKER_00]: They're throwing the ball.
30:16
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not putting them out there to block.
30:18
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
30:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Like so there's limits to come with having a guy who can't play receiver in a conventional way, run the route tree, get off of press all that different stuff.
30:29
[SPEAKER_00]: And if burdens getting there with that in that area, that's only going to make a lot more dangerous.
30:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, there's, there's a lot of, I think that there's a lot of mouths to feed in this bear's offense, but I think it's more reasonable now, right?
30:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I think you, you'd have to imagine that Colson, Levelin, takes a big jump from year one to year two and becomes more dynamic.
30:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Realma Dunzege, again though, I mean, he's got a foot injury right now.
30:55
[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know how serious that is.
30:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
30:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Miss five games last year, and so to me,
31:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I mean, watch Ben Johnson's press conferences, which are wild by the way, and I love that he's turning into the bad guy from Whiplash this off season where like if your phone goes off during this thing, he's going to like throw that you like and and that's good.
31:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's I want my head coach to scare people a little bit, but if he literally like the words literally came out of his mouth, I'm buying Luther Burton stock.
31:26
[SPEAKER_01]: right so it's not like that you know we're telling you something we don't know but it's it's also you know as we approach fantasy draft season and training camp and all that stuff it's easy for some of these comments to get lost in the hype window before you really digging and you're like oh my god this guy's gonna be a lot of fun and again we brushed over it
31:47
[SPEAKER_01]: two minutes ago, could this be the Jamison Williams trap?
31:51
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm saying trap, because like Jamison Williams with Ben Johnson together, I mean, there was that one season right where everybody thought that we're gonna be moving on from him at one point.
32:04
[SPEAKER_01]: And he did have a thousand yard season and seven touchdowns last year with Alpen Johnson, but the last season with Ben Johnson, you know, it went from what?
32:12
[SPEAKER_01]: 12 games and 300 yards to 15 games and a thousand yards and seven to you know, so it's like there were some games were like a lot of those came in in a few games right we just had a few massive games I don't get that from Luther burden though he doesn't strike me is more of a feast or famine type player you know I agree I agree yeah I give me another one Albert
32:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so can I go like a little honorable mention here because I don't want to forget the big guys.
32:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, so I know we're going to focus on on where we got like a little bit of fantasy focus here.
32:46
[SPEAKER_00]: That's fine.
32:47
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I get it.
32:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Fabiano when he gets Michael Fabiano or wonderful fantasy expert by the way, when he gets wind that we're like stepping on his turf and I don't blame him.
32:56
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's probably going to be one of those like we're just going to get a little.
33:01
[SPEAKER_01]: What do they call it?
33:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Jin music and baseball he might just throw a drop.
33:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he might just throw a brush back pick and then he's going to start breaking down You know, he's going to start breaking down scheme or doing his head coaching list over at the fantasy pop, which is fine.
33:15
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, but I'm just I you know I want to step I want to walk past phabs as yard.
33:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to step on his grass, right?
33:22
[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't get a great job.
33:23
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to step on his grass for real fantasy advice go to Michael
33:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I, I, I, I, I, I, 100% Facts about the end of the fantasy guy.
33:33
[SPEAKER_00]: We are not, we're just telling you skill position players who might produce.
33:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know, like, Fabs is deeply connected.
33:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know this, like, just in life?
33:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's friends with like, he hangs out with like professional wrestlers.
33:47
[SPEAKER_00]: The other proper Italian proper Italians are always are always well connected.
33:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I know he's he's a Italian living in Florida now, which is double scary because it's like,
33:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Once the Italian leaves New Jersey or New York, it's sort of like the restrictions are taken off of them, and they can govern from a place without everybody breathing down their necks, and so that's what makes Fabs more scary to me.
34:10
[SPEAKER_01]: But like we had them, I think, on the podcast last year, and he just casually drops the fact that like he's like, oh yeah, I'm in that fantasy football league with like two members of Alice in chains and like the lead singer of
34:23
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, yeah, what is this, you know, so phabs again, not stepping on, not stepping on phabs, we're, we're just, we're just talking a little bit of all, I mean it's June, you know, we're doing what we can't.
34:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, give me my, my outer role, Mitch.
34:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so two honorable mentions, and I think these guys deserve it, one of them was actually got a second team all pro vote for me last year, they're both guards.
34:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I think they could be your two first team all pro guards this year potentially and that's Graes Abel and Tyler Booker.
34:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I think they both showed signs last year of being.
35:00
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, multiple all pro over the course of careers.
35:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Grey's able really kind of settled down.
35:06
[SPEAKER_00]: What had been a problem for the C-Hox on the interior, they're offensive lines.
35:10
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think both those guys deserve some mention.
35:15
[SPEAKER_00]: With that said,
35:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And I consider the coast and love on for this, right?
35:22
[SPEAKER_00]: But you pick Luther Burden, so I'll go away from the bears there because I think both of these guys can be really good.
35:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going Tyler Warren, okay?
35:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I watch Tyler Warren in the open field in college, and you know who he's, what are you screaming to me?
35:40
[SPEAKER_00]: What player do you think that's screaming to you watching him in the open field?
35:44
[SPEAKER_01]: in the open field.
35:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you watch him run in the open field.
35:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Who does he look like?
35:49
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to give an answer that I don't think is the answer, but it harkens back to one of the great sports illustrated profiles of the last quarter century.
36:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
36:00
[SPEAKER_01]: That's Jeremy Shockey.
36:02
[SPEAKER_01]: That's, that's who Tyler Warren reminds me of in the open.
36:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.
36:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Rob Kramkowski.
36:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was going to, that was my, that was my second one.
36:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I think you know what it is, Lauren has the hair.
36:12
[SPEAKER_00]: He has the hair and he looks like a wild man out there.
36:15
[SPEAKER_00]: But there's also like, when you watch him run,
36:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't even put my finger on what this is.
36:20
[SPEAKER_00]: There's almost like a controlled recklessness to it.
36:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Where a shocky was reckless recklessness.
36:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, right.
36:27
[SPEAKER_00]: That was part of why Grant kept getting hurt.
36:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Was there was like a little bit of a recklessness to it?
36:32
[SPEAKER_00]: But you don't want to take that away from him because it's kind of what makes him that much more dangerous, you know?
36:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
36:40
[SPEAKER_00]: And looking like a guy who would be no fun to try to take to the ground,
36:45
[SPEAKER_00]: And I really like the way that it's set up there for him because I think you've got a offense that is now set up.
36:56
[SPEAKER_00]: to play off of play action, to get matchups for Warren.
37:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think again, this kind of comes down to what's around him, right?
37:07
[SPEAKER_00]: You've got the running game with Jonathan Taylor to pull the guys up, right?
37:14
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm gonna make this as simple as I can to pull the defense up, yep.
37:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you've got the receiver and Alex Pierce to stretch the defense out.
37:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think like that dynamic,
37:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Like for Shane Steiken is going to create open areas in the middle of the field for Tyler Warren to get the bond run through and it's not just getting open with him to me.
37:37
[SPEAKER_00]: It's also, it's like getting him, like, and it sounds weird to talk about Titan this way, but it's, he's another guy's a space player.
37:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So you get him in space and then he's really hard to take to the ground, you know?
37:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be surprised if he's like a 1,200 yard guy.
37:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, like I think like I think he could be first team all pro, like I just, you know, I think part of it too is strike in his history, the position.
38:04
[SPEAKER_00]: and what he's been able to do over the years.
38:06
[SPEAKER_00]: He had Antonio Gates for all of those years when he was in San Diego and Los Angeles with the Chargers, you know, obviously in Philadelphia, they went a Super Bowl, you know, and he, you know, or they didn't win with him.
38:20
[SPEAKER_00]: They went to a Super Bowl.
38:23
[SPEAKER_00]: We know his Zaccords and Zaccords was incredible form there.
38:26
[SPEAKER_00]: They had Dallas, God, or it as well.
38:29
[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think he's got like a really good handle on the position and I think like Tyler Warren is sort of like this wild car where it's like do we defend peers who had like the unbelievable yards for catch number last year do we defend Jonathan Taylor who's still one of the best backs in football and like I just think it kind of the
38:52
[SPEAKER_00]: The cults have taken a beating over the last few years for not breaking through.
38:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I actually think it's like a really well-conceived team right now, you know, and I think Tyler warns a big part of it.
39:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of think about it from an opposite perspective where I think that Warren might be the only reliable option at this point.
39:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, when you're number one, why'd receiver that you just paid a lot is still in recovery.
39:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
39:18
[SPEAKER_01]: And,
39:19
[SPEAKER_01]: and your run game is not fickle it's just that like it's always going to be scheme dwell but you lost offensive line talent this off season I feel like you know and you're in your hoping to kind of replenish from within a little bit but I think Warren is that constant right and for someone like Daniel Jones who's good when he's in rhythm and he's good getting rid of the ball quickly Warren is that ultimate security blanket and I think if if
39:46
[SPEAKER_01]: shit goes south.
39:47
[SPEAKER_01]: He can run the ball.
39:48
[SPEAKER_01]: He can take hand off.
39:49
[SPEAKER_01]: He can be, you know, wild cat guy, like I think I think he might have to pull a heavy load this year, especially when I mean think about it.
39:56
[SPEAKER_01]: your two highest paid offensive players are both coming off very significant off season procedures and clean up you know what I mean so you need you need the road dog you know yeah yeah i just i like i've been a fan of his since college i just think he's such a unique player for the position and i i i
40:17
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like he actually, believe it or not, got some all-pro mentioned when I was making my calls around last year.
40:23
[SPEAKER_00]: So the fact that people already thought that much of him, I don't wind up voting him for him, like actually, I had my ballot up a second ago.
40:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you my first and second team.
40:35
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is like, but I think he could play himself into all pros.
40:38
[SPEAKER_00]: So I had Tramic Bride, which was easy as the first team in the Kyle Pets is second team.
40:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I think he is certainly be, you know, somebody who is first or second team all pro, you know, in a second ear and the league.
40:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the world of them.
40:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Before we go, speaking of tight ends, uh, this is just like popped across my radar and, um, uh, I sent the picture to produce for Shelby.
41:00
[SPEAKER_01]: There was the tight end you kick off party, um, which is like Travis Kelsey and George Kiddles like off season tight end summit.
41:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're watching on YouTube, uh, you can see it,
41:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, look at the gala here.
41:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, this is, this is the tight end.
41:18
[SPEAKER_01]: This is like traditionally like the fifth most, sixth most important position in American sports.
41:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Conor I'm, I'm raising a tight end.
41:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you going to steal Steve Breyer's a tie-dant?
41:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay.
41:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, maybe Steve Breyer's about to, you know, marry one of the most famous popular items in a long poem lacrosse.
41:37
[SPEAKER_00]: So he kind of fits like a very specific type of the most Massachusetts dad thing that anybody's ever said about their son in history.
41:45
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's get this picture up here because I'm like, I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I
41:50
[SPEAKER_01]: we need to talk about this because there's a lot going on there's a lot of dynamics in this photo that absolutely and totally fascinate me and the first one is that if you're looking at the way that everybody's positioned okay so you have Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift all the way in the left you have George Kittle and his wife in the middle Greg Olson and his wife all the way to the right okay
42:19
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, like George Kiddles' wife is in a really difficult spot here, because he's right next to Taylor Swift.
42:28
[SPEAKER_01]: You're right next to Taylor Swift, literally the most famous woman on earth.
42:34
[SPEAKER_01]: But being the most famous person on earth, probably one of the most famous people on earth.
42:39
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not like, I mean, you know,
42:43
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like anybody in this photo is a slouch, you know what I mean?
42:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, these are all, you know, these are all like, well known people, yeah.
42:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Well known people, right?
42:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Husbands and wives, you know, that have, you know, careers, businesses, all this kind of stuff, right?
43:00
[SPEAKER_01]: But like, yeah, I don't know if you've ever experienced this, but like,
43:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I did an event recently, um, where, you know, you have to take a lot of pictures with people and every time a new group comes in, the dynamic is different where it's like, is this a, is this a put my arm around them kind of person.
43:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Is this, you know, oh, yeah, yeah, you know, it's always a little weird when they come up and it's like, do I just stand next to them?
43:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Do I put my arm around them?
43:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a lot of times that can relate to how many drinks you've had.
43:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
43:33
[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you look at the picture, it's like George Kiddles got his arm around Greg Olson on one side and then Kiddles got his arm around his wife on the other side and she's facing one direction.
43:42
[SPEAKER_01]: but then Kelsey's got his arm around Taylor Swift and she's facing the other direction.
43:46
[SPEAKER_00]: And so if like, I told you to show, so you're saying you asked the question, does she put her arm around Taylor Swift?
43:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, because your husband has his arm around the next couple, right?
43:56
[SPEAKER_01]: And so you are now in a spot where you've got to figure out whether you're breaking the bridge or not.
44:02
[SPEAKER_01]: And literally, you know, like, so for example, let's just say that like I was at tight end.
44:08
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a very tough spot for Mr. Taylor for sure.
44:11
[SPEAKER_01]: So let's just say that I was at tight end you for some reason right and and I just happen to be there and everyone's like oh get in on the picture and for some reason I was next to Taylor Swift if I was in George kiddo's wife's position and I accidentally not accidentally if I made the decision to throw my arm around Taylor Swift I would have been shot dead like on the scene there right she's in a in a go between position where she's not right she's because she's in the circle
44:35
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, because she's a woman and not a guy that adds like a little bit of like a more acceptance to it.
44:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I think acceptance.
44:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, right.
44:43
[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that would be fine probably, man.
44:46
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, that's a tough spot for sure.
44:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
44:49
[SPEAKER_00]: The, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
44:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, me and me and you can get data that I didn't know we were in we were in, but you know And I love them.
45:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I love those kind of it.
45:07
[SPEAKER_00]: We were in and We have kind of gone into like through off the red carpet into like the like kind of like this like a little lobby area before you walk into the bigger area And so me and me and Mike silver my buddy.
45:21
[SPEAKER_00]: We we running to Cam Jordan
45:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Great guy, Kim, he's a cow guy, so silver's close with them.
45:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I know him a little bit too.
45:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I've done a bunch of things with him over the years.
45:30
[SPEAKER_00]: We're catching up with him and that gave, you know, an oversell as PR person time to come running over to us and claim she gave us the wrong wrong bracelets, which wasn't true, but then it turned into, yeah.
45:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So we didn't wind up going
45:49
[SPEAKER_00]: It was interesting, maybe next year, maybe next year, and Los Angeles.
45:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm still waiting for my invite.
45:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I would guess that probably a tough sell.
45:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm like, I mean, it was just, yeah, anyway, I don't know.
46:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
46:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm always the one, like, I remember, I just turned 21.
46:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I was living in Stanford Connecticut for the summer, and I was working at NBC and me and my buddy Matt, who works for the New York Post now, great dude.
46:16
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we're not exactly like you put the two of us together.
46:19
[SPEAKER_01]: We're not exactly like, you know,
46:23
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Johnny Depp and, you know, whoever at the Viper room in 1990, you know, we're not looking, you know, we're not sharp dress guys, right, but we put on our college shirts and and we did our best and we walked down to this nightclub in Stanford and we sat in line and there was nobody there it was like 945 right like did this
46:43
[SPEAKER_00]: It's part of those scenarios where they're building the line to, for atmosphere, for atmosphere, right?
46:49
[SPEAKER_01]: And like, I'm looking at this, you know, we're getting closer, we're getting closer and the guy looks at us and he just goes, no.
46:56
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, I don't think so, guys.
46:58
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I was like, okay, and then, but I was like, listen, you know.
47:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go in there and I'm going to have two beers and I'm going to go home.
47:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you not want to sell to what I presume to be $16 beers inside this place, you know, and then, you know, I'm going to leave.
47:14
[SPEAKER_01]: And then he gives us a both of once over and he goes, all right, far end of the bar and just don't go nuts in there.
47:23
[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think like my prospects of getting into tight end you lower than your prospects of getting into tight end you.
47:31
[SPEAKER_00]: uh... but nonetheless you got you got to keep trying you know yeah they're been like a bunch of like i don't know those places were where you get sized up and you walked in like i remember one so this is probably two thousand nine and i'm with my high school buddies max and Dave Stevens and uh...
47:52
[SPEAKER_00]: We went to the Pink Elephant in the Hamptons and I feel like we walked through three different areas where you're passing someone who is like sizing you up, and I was wearing like a blazer, but like it definitely felt like those are always so weird, we're feeling yeah, is this guy belong in here, right, and then they have to think of a way to then they're standing there thinking of a way like to kick people out that they need to kick out.
48:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, suffice says one thing I don't miss about being on my 20s anymore.
48:25
[SPEAKER_00]: That's stupidity.
48:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm I'm glad to be dealt with that.
48:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with that.
48:29
[SPEAKER_01]: And as we bid a do a one funny comment that just made me laugh.
48:35
[SPEAKER_01]: The box traded Janice to the heat and apparently Jimmy has looked swooped in at the last minute and directed the trade to Miami instead of Boston and
48:48
[SPEAKER_01]: a big bend sports on Twitter.
48:50
[SPEAKER_01]: He's just on such a good job with the Browns.
48:52
[SPEAKER_00]: You got to trust him if it's it's a joy.
48:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I will say this in one off season.
48:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Jim has him is traded.
49:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Yannis and Miles carried it.
49:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I will say this though.
49:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I do think like the strategy is actually probably somewhat similar.
49:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I wish all the interview artists.
49:14
[SPEAKER_00]: John, just from my entertainment standpoint, I think we're been awesome to have you on us and Jason Tam together here, but like I don't mind the bucks logic, which from what I've heard, like their logic here is if you trade for jail and brown,
49:32
[SPEAKER_00]: You're getting a player who's only two years younger, who's just as expensive, who's worse.
49:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
49:38
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's going to be your centerpiece.
49:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And the guy who potentially could wind up being disgruntled, because he already is in Boston.
49:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Like with the heat trade, you get financial flexibility, younger players, and draft assets.
49:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I,
49:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Totally get why the box went with the heats offer now that it's over.
50:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I totally get it jail and brown would have been spinning their wheels.
50:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah
50:09
[SPEAKER_01]: to first turn down two first rounders and Jalen Brown.
50:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but one of those first rounders going to be if they have y'all have y'all.
50:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
50:18
[SPEAKER_00]: They have y'all on us and take the most first round.
50:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the 28th pick in the NBA is basically like a third rounder, a fourth rounder in the NFL.
50:27
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
50:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's the equivalent.
50:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Like low first round picks are worthless in the N. Not worthless, but they aren't what, you know, first round pick is in the NFL.
50:38
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
50:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure Jalen Brown pretty excited to come back to the old organization after they said try to very best to change things we're not before Connor.
50:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't you love professional sports and I can't wait to see like I can't wait to see his twitch video today where you know he's wearing the back to the future glasses from like you know 1986 and
51:03
[SPEAKER_00]: saying like saying like 15 cryptic things without saying anything directly.
51:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and the players are the wide receivers of the social media world.
51:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I always think that's the key is like the the sort of sunglasses the person is wearing for the cryptic video.
51:20
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like what can I do that makes me seem the most out there.
51:24
[SPEAKER_00]: and I've always felt like the back to, it's like the glasses from like back to the future that everybody thought were like the sunglasses of the future.
51:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Like people back then thought those were the sunglasses people would be wearing now, right?
51:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the really like narrow ones.
51:40
[SPEAKER_00]: They're just like a straight line across your face.
51:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I'm excited.
51:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to see some of those choices that are made by Jalen Brown over the next couple of days.
51:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And we're excited to be a long side of it with you.
51:55
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be back with another episode on Thursday.
51:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for dealing with our Hectic schedule travel, all that good stuff.
52:02
[SPEAKER_01]: We still have a summer of great content.
52:05
[SPEAKER_01]: And I can say Albert, pretty confidently.
52:08
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, just be checkingside.com, be checking anywhere that you can get them at.
52:14
[SPEAKER_01]: This football preview issue that we got working up here is gonna be a banger.

52:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Let us know how we're doing.
52:38
[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll see ya.
52:53
[UNKNOWN]: You
