Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Hey, sorry we're late everyone. We were too busy getting sued.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Yes, you may have noticed. The name of our show
- 0:12Speaker 2: is now different.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Yeah, welcome to the Driver's Show everyone. I think it
- 0:17Speaker 1: sounds better. Yeah, it was benefit of hindsight. I think
- 0:20Speaker 1: it is a much better name.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but I did pitch it early on, but you.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Just spat on your face and said get out of
- 0:26Speaker 1: my office, and then I threw you out.
- 0:28Speaker 2: The window, and then you realize you don't have an office.
- 0:32Speaker 1: It was in the cardboard box in the park. So yeah,
- 0:37Speaker 1: it's been a bit of a mad couple of How
- 0:39Speaker 1: long has it been. It's it been a couple of
- 0:41Speaker 1: months now since we've been out of record.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Yes, mainly because we've had just some absolute.
- 0:46Speaker 1: We have had some issues with the legal system. And
- 0:51Speaker 1: as a courtesy, where now the Driver's Show.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Yeah, which we have enough to be confused with anything else.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Anything else. We have a new logo, We've got new
- 1:02Speaker 1: five updated my photos so now you can actually see
- 1:05Speaker 1: my extra chin.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Yes, you're I'm looking at your photo now and you
- 1:10Speaker 3: look like you you exist in eight pixels.
- 1:13Speaker 1: For health and safety reasons, ladies, ladies, this.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Is what happens if you keep eating cupcakes.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I look good in that jacket. Seriously, I walk out
- 1:24Speaker 1: in public in that jacket. It is dinners on ladies.
- 1:27Speaker 1: It's like seagulls fighting over a chip. Anyway, So I
- 1:34Speaker 1: guess we should talk about a little bit of the
- 1:36Speaker 1: backstory about where we've been. I feel like it's been
- 1:40Speaker 1: so bloody long.
- 1:41Speaker 2: How are you poor? Your rush? Have you been?
- 1:45Speaker 1: How are you sleeping these days? How's your erection?
- 1:51Speaker 3: Well, I've been busy and everything was going great until
- 1:55Speaker 3: we started getting emails from our good friends.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Yes, our good friends and and whatnot.
- 2:01Speaker 2: So you know it's official when they call you Gordon.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Oh god, well no, according to one of the legal letters,
- 2:07Speaker 1: mister Gordon, mister what what mister Gordon? I think you
- 2:15Speaker 1: are an infringement or what. So basically what's happened is.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Okay, guys, let me pause you there. I'm a member
- 2:24Speaker 4: of the boys legal team, and I'm here to make
- 2:26Speaker 4: sure that they keep their noses clean and not get
- 2:29Speaker 4: themselves in trouble. So here's what you need to know.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Here's the facts. In September of twenty twenty two, a
- 2:35Speaker 4: particular television network and media company sent the Boys a
- 2:38Speaker 4: letter of demand claiming, in their view, the boys podcast
- 2:41Speaker 4: The Drive Show was allegedly infringing their media automotive derivative Drive. Essentially,
- 2:47Speaker 4: they claimed the word Drive in The Drive Show podcast
- 2:50Speaker 4: infringed trademark registrations relating to their brand Drive for numerous
- 2:54Speaker 4: reasons covered under numerous clauses of the Trademarks Act. We
- 2:58Speaker 4: won't bore you with we don't believe it at all. However,
- 3:01Speaker 4: given we don't have as much time on our hands
- 3:03Speaker 4: as the complainant and on an own missions basis, the
- 3:07Speaker 4: Boys have changed the name of this podcast to The
- 3:09Speaker 4: Driver's Show. That's Drive with an RS at the end.
- 3:13Speaker 4: You can still find us on Spotify, Apple Podcast, and iHeartRadio,
- 3:17Speaker 4: but will be known under the Driver's Show. You can
- 3:20Speaker 4: still use the Drive Show dot com dot AU for
- 3:22Speaker 4: a while, but we'd prefer the Driver's Show dot com
- 3:25Speaker 4: dot A. You Okay, back to you guys, so.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Probably shouldn't have sworn that much, but it is what
- 3:32Speaker 1: it is. There's no lies there, no.
- 3:35Speaker 2: To my former colleagues.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Next time you want to us to do something, just
- 3:39Speaker 3: pick up the phone and message me because you have
- 3:41Speaker 3: my number, and don't go running to your legal department.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Doesn't that say a lot about you? They don't even
- 3:46Speaker 1: want to talk to you anyway.
- 3:48Speaker 2: This is family radio.
- 3:50Speaker 1: No, it's very much not very much. Listen to this
- 3:55Speaker 1: dad's emailers and go. Can you cut the swearing out?
- 3:58Speaker 1: I love to listen to you. Where my kids in
- 4:00Speaker 1: the car? Well, you know what can stop it?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Grow up?
- 4:03Speaker 1: Get some time to yourself those kids anyway. Anyway, so
- 4:09Speaker 1: we're back into it now, back into fortnightly.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Episodes of the Driver's Show, The.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Driver Show, Bigger and Massed with anything Else, formerly known
- 4:16Speaker 1: as by the way, just on that The Drivers Show
- 4:19Speaker 1: dot com dot au.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Yeah, so if you want to email us, it's the
- 4:22Speaker 3: same thing but slightly different. So contact at the Drivers
- 4:26Speaker 3: Show dot com dot au is how you'll be able
- 4:28Speaker 3: to get in touch with us for the moment.
- 4:29Speaker 2: You never know, that might change. Yeah, I annoy.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Someone else highly likely forever. Anyway, Hey, you did a
- 4:38Speaker 1: road trip, which I thought was boring. I love what
- 4:45Speaker 1: you do for fun. You know what we should do?
- 4:47Speaker 1: What let's compare an EV to a diesel car. Well,
- 4:52Speaker 1: that sounds like a good idea. What do you want
- 4:55Speaker 1: to do then, I don't know, Let's wink each other
- 4:58Speaker 1: off in the public toilet on the roads. It sounds
- 5:00Speaker 1: like a good idea to me. How good's engineering? Oh,
- 5:04Speaker 1: it's brilliant.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Yeah, so that happened.
- 5:10Speaker 1: So you did a road trap with your good made elbows. Yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 1: and it was you're in an EV You're in a
- 5:18Speaker 1: EV six. Yeah, he was in what was it, an
- 5:21Speaker 1: Audi q FA Diesel.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Yeah, Audi Q five thirty five TDI, which is the
- 5:24Speaker 3: base model Diesel.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Cool.
- 5:26Speaker 1: It still looked good by the way that car, Yeah,
- 5:28Speaker 1: I thought it still looked It doesn't look like a
- 5:30Speaker 1: bass shitter.
- 5:31Speaker 2: It sort of looks okay.
- 5:33Speaker 3: So yeah, we thought, let's test the theory out with EV's.
- 5:36Speaker 3: You know they're meant to be really cheap and really not.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Well, what I wanted to figure out was can you
- 5:43Speaker 3: actually drive an EV regionally in Australia. I know that
- 5:47Speaker 3: all the major highways are covered, but what if you
- 5:49Speaker 3: don't necessarily want to go on a major highway. The
- 5:52Speaker 3: second part to this challenge was Audi claims that the
- 5:56Speaker 3: base Q five can do fourteen hundred k's on a tank.
- 5:59Speaker 3: And what I said to Elbows was, I'm going to
- 6:02Speaker 3: challenge you to make it to Sydney from Adelaide in
- 6:05Speaker 3: that Q five on one tank and he is famously
- 6:09Speaker 3: not very good at being efficient, and I basically.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Got him to brim the tank. We brimmed the EV
- 6:15Speaker 2: to one hundred percent.
- 6:16Speaker 1: And brim the tank mean basically phill it so that
- 6:20Speaker 1: the fuel is like literally at the cap.
- 6:23Speaker 2: So it's all the way.
- 6:24Speaker 3: And the reason we do this hashtag engineer is because
- 6:27Speaker 3: you then brim it at the.
- 6:28Speaker 1: End and it sounds like a search thing on born.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Because at the end you can brim it again and
- 6:35Speaker 3: use the exact number of liters you've used plus the
- 6:37Speaker 3: kilometers you've traveled to figure out the fuel economy, which
- 6:40Speaker 3: ended up being different to what the computer said, by the.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Way, Wow cool. Yeah.
- 6:45Speaker 1: So anyway, long story short, we did this road trip.
- 6:50Speaker 1: It was sorry to recap. It was Melbourne to Adelaide,
- 6:52Speaker 1: Adelaide to Sydney. Oh, Adelaide to Sydney.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Yeah so, and via the regional route, so via the
- 6:57Speaker 3: hay planes, so not via the sort of the major highway.
- 7:01Speaker 2: It takes you closer to Melbourne and then back up
- 7:03Speaker 2: to Sydney. The reason we did that is I wanted
- 7:05Speaker 2: to see what the.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Regional stuff was like and for Elbows to actually make it.
- 7:10Speaker 2: He decided to travel a bit slower.
- 7:11Speaker 3: He was doing ninety k's an hour, and the whole
- 7:14Speaker 3: purpose of this was for him to fail, but also
- 7:17Speaker 3: for us to see how much time I would spend
- 7:20Speaker 3: on the road trip having to charge the car compared
- 7:23Speaker 3: to him just being able to drive constantly. And there
- 7:26Speaker 3: results ended up being interesting. So I used a site
- 7:28Speaker 3: called a Better Route Planner. So it's a free website,
- 7:31Speaker 3: and what it does for evs is it.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I've gone to a site called better Route too. I
- 7:36Speaker 1: didn't really find you were rejected. I was rejected.
- 7:40Speaker 3: So Better Route Planner allows you to type in your destination.
- 7:43Speaker 3: What it does is it takes into account topology, weather,
- 7:46Speaker 3: and the real range of the EV to tell you
- 7:49Speaker 3: when and how often you need to charge. So this
- 7:51Speaker 3: was really good and basically you.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Do Tesla have something similar in their software like that.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Already they do, but only with Tesla charges.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Yes, so this actually into account any public charging infrastructure.
- 8:03Speaker 3: So what we found was that I'd have a certain
- 8:06Speaker 3: number of places I'd need to stop. We decided that
- 8:08Speaker 3: instead of doing it all in one day, we would
- 8:10Speaker 3: stop in Hay overnight at a motel.
- 8:13Speaker 2: I'm trying and.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Avoid those wherever possible. But anyway, well, what was that like?
- 8:18Speaker 3: So FIRS class?
- 8:19Speaker 2: Yeah? Great. I was like, oh, hi, do I get
- 8:23Speaker 2: an upgrade to a suite or anything? And They're like no, they.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Put you both in the same room.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Then they said here's your key, and I'm like, oh,
- 8:29Speaker 3: so it's a physical key. Interesting was your bedcoin operated?
- 8:38Speaker 3: So our own troop was going great. I kept sort
- 8:40Speaker 3: of overtaking Elbows after stopping. Once we got away from
- 8:43Speaker 3: the main highway where the chargers slowed down a lot,
- 8:47Speaker 3: he would sort of make up a bit of ground.
- 8:48Speaker 3: But the biggest issue we had was on our way
- 8:50Speaker 3: between Oyan and Hay because just they closed the road
- 8:56Speaker 3: across the Murray, so we had a seventy kilometer detour
- 9:00Speaker 3: and I would have thrown it all up.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Well, it was an issue for me because I pulled.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Out early in in Oion because Elbows had got ahead
- 9:10Speaker 3: a little bit and we had a plan to stop
- 9:12Speaker 3: there to eat, but there was nothing open on a
- 9:13Speaker 3: Monday night, so I sort of stopped charging early. And
- 9:16Speaker 3: as a result of that, when it came to the detail,
- 9:19Speaker 3: I was like, oh, well, this is going to be
- 9:21Speaker 3: a slight issue because we're adding seventy k's on which
- 9:23Speaker 3: I hadn't accounted for. And as it started, as the
- 9:26Speaker 3: sun started setting, it started getting very cold, and an
- 9:30Speaker 3: EV driven cold at highway speeds uses much higher amounts
- 9:36Speaker 3: of battery charge because it has to use the battery
- 9:38Speaker 3: to keep itself warm to run a heater. So I
- 9:41Speaker 3: ended up arriving in Hay with one percent battery left.
- 9:44Speaker 3: It was literally sweating bullet stuff because if I had
- 9:47Speaker 3: have run out, we would have been screwed. And there
- 9:49Speaker 3: was only one charger in Hay as well. So again,
- 9:51Speaker 3: had it have been a long weekend or something and
- 9:53Speaker 3: not a Monday night, I could have been in.
- 9:55Speaker 2: A queue of seven other cars.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I feel like your charger in Hay would have just
- 9:58Speaker 1: been some woman that lives in a carr just like
- 10:00Speaker 1: with a dart in the mouth. You did give a
- 10:03Speaker 1: fucking car. Hey on, man, watch your name paula on, Paul,
- 10:09Speaker 1: let me just plug your bloody car and anyway after Paul, anyway,
- 10:15Speaker 1: So we plugged up. Now, this is a slow charger,
- 10:18Speaker 1: so we had to basically leave the car there for
- 10:20Speaker 1: an hour and a half while we went to the
- 10:22Speaker 1: truck stop to have a dirty, dirty meal. Oh God,
- 10:25Speaker 1: I wasn't sure where you.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Were going without one to take it a dinner somewhere.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Wow.
- 10:31Speaker 1: So anyway, the rest of the trip with two blokes
- 10:33Speaker 1: at a track stop, nothing sus in Regionals, Australia.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:37Speaker 3: We ended up in Sydney the following day and we
- 10:41Speaker 3: filled both cars back up to one hundred percent.
- 10:43Speaker 2: We sat down and.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Did the costs and the EV ended up being five
- 10:47Speaker 3: dollars cheaper than the diesel, which surprised me because I
- 10:51Speaker 3: thought EV's were going to be significantly cheaper. And keep
- 10:54Speaker 3: in mind the charge in Hay was free. It was
- 10:56Speaker 3: the only charger along the way that was actually free,
- 10:59Speaker 3: so basically meant that had I have paid in Hay,
- 11:04Speaker 3: the EV would have been more expensive than the diesel
- 11:07Speaker 3: to run over that trip. Granted, this is a very
- 11:09Speaker 3: efficient deedl It ended up consuming four point three let
- 11:11Speaker 3: us per one hundred k and he's doing ninety, but
- 11:15Speaker 3: in reality he could have done the speed limit and
- 11:18Speaker 3: filled up in four minutes and potentially done the trip
- 11:20Speaker 3: in one day if he shared driving with someone else.
- 11:23Speaker 3: So yeah, look, EV's a getting there, and once we
- 11:26Speaker 3: do get faster charging rolled out everywhere, it'll be much better.
- 11:29Speaker 3: But ultimately, with him doing ninety, we ended up arriving
- 11:31Speaker 3: in Sydney within fifteen minutes of each other, so it
- 11:34Speaker 3: wasn't actually that big of a deal having to stop,
- 11:36Speaker 3: which I thought was pretty good.
- 11:37Speaker 1: We really do have to up our game. I reckon
- 11:39Speaker 1: on that sort of stuff. It's just my view on
- 11:43Speaker 1: this whole thing hasn't really changed too much in the
- 11:45Speaker 1: last couple of weeks. I've been driving a bad Well.
- 11:49Speaker 3: You were saying that the bid could probably do Adelaide
- 11:51Speaker 3: to Sydney without charging.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Sure, Sure, on a tow truck, I was saying it
- 11:57Speaker 1: could probably do Sydney to Port More Quarry in one go.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I reckon it probably could, but in eco mode driving slow,
- 12:07Speaker 1: air conditioner off, probably throw the luggage away. Maybe if
- 12:11Speaker 1: they just had a lighter driver instead of me. Yeah,
- 12:14Speaker 1: but yeah. So my point is, I think at the
- 12:17Speaker 1: moment there's still a brilliant commuting car like that's that's
- 12:21Speaker 1: where we're at. Unfortunately, city driving charging overnight, it's a
- 12:26Speaker 1: habitual thing. I just they're not really doing anything. For
- 12:29Speaker 1: those haters that are claiming, what about the regional bloody
- 12:33Speaker 1: road trips made in theory, You've kind of proved that wrong.
- 12:37Speaker 1: It's the same sort of cost, you arrived at the
- 12:38Speaker 1: same sort of time, all that kind of stuff. But
- 12:41Speaker 1: I mean, the reliability of charges in the infrastructure we've
- 12:44Speaker 1: got here at the moment regionally is just not where
- 12:47Speaker 1: it needs to be.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Is always more expensive than an equivalent internal combustion car
- 12:51Speaker 3: as well, so you're paying more upfront. So charging at
- 12:54Speaker 3: home it's fine because you can you can obviously use
- 12:56Speaker 3: solar lower rates, blah blah blah. But on a road
- 12:59Speaker 3: trip they just don't. They make sense. But there's just
- 13:03Speaker 3: a lot of planning involved. How do I have been
- 13:05Speaker 3: with the family in that car and it weighed more
- 13:08Speaker 3: and all that sort of stuff. I would have had
- 13:10Speaker 3: to probably slow down to sixty k's an hour on
- 13:12Speaker 3: a one hundred hundred and ten kN hour road to
- 13:15Speaker 3: actually make it, Yeah.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Because I can't just stop anywhere.
- 13:18Speaker 1: And when you go like a screaming kid in the car, yeah,
- 13:21Speaker 1: everyone knows. Like now, when you want to do a
- 13:23Speaker 1: road trip with a kid, you kind of have a plan,
- 13:25Speaker 1: but all those sort of plans go out the window.
- 13:27Speaker 1: So I imagine that on top of doing something like this,
- 13:30Speaker 1: I reckon it would be a friggin nightmare. But if
- 13:32Speaker 1: you've done it yourself, let us know how you went.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm key to hear from people. I mean, do
- 13:36Speaker 3: you drive an EV? Do you do long distance drives?
- 13:38Speaker 3: I was looking at the comments on our article at
- 13:40Speaker 3: car expert dot com that a you, and I noticed
- 13:42Speaker 3: some people, like one guy said he's driven his Model
- 13:45Speaker 3: by three thousand k's across the middle of Australia had
- 13:48Speaker 3: no issues with charging.
- 13:49Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, but that's if you're happy to.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Charge for twenty four hours on a ten amps soccer
- 13:55Speaker 3: at a caravan park. Yeah, which you were, well, but
- 13:58Speaker 3: I mean it's just that kind of argument is just stupid.
- 14:01Speaker 3: You can charge an EV anywhere, that's right, But I
- 14:03Speaker 3: don't have twenty four hours to spare in between my trips,
- 14:07Speaker 3: especially if you have a family.
- 14:08Speaker 2: So yeah, anyway, what was.
- 14:10Speaker 1: The lady's name here charged up your car?
- 14:12Speaker 2: Was it Doris? Donna? Donna?
- 14:16Speaker 1: Yes, because it was Donna. You want a chicken schnitzel
- 14:19Speaker 1: while your late you go, Donna?
- 14:24Speaker 3: Hey, Gordy, do you drive a Hyundai IX thirty five
- 14:28Speaker 3: manufactured between twenty fourteen and twenty fifteen. No, Paul, I
- 14:31Speaker 3: actually don't okay if you do, don't park it in
- 14:34Speaker 3: a garage, okay, because it might catch on fire.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Oh that's a little extra. They call those little extras
- 14:41Speaker 1: easter eggs. When you don't know a fee, when you
- 14:43Speaker 1: just find out a feature about your car. Yeah, oh,
- 14:45Speaker 1: this one just like explodes.
- 14:48Speaker 2: In the middle of the night campfire. Yeah. I mean
- 14:51Speaker 2: yan Day and I think Kira.
- 14:53Speaker 3: As well doing quite me on that are having issues
- 14:55Speaker 3: with the ABS modules in number of their cars. And
- 14:59Speaker 3: the latest here is the IX thirty five, which was
- 15:02Speaker 3: the predecessor to the Tucson, where it may short circuit
- 15:09Speaker 3: when components are exposed to moisture, and it can result
- 15:12Speaker 3: in a vehicle fire even when the vehicle is switched off,
- 15:16Speaker 3: so it doesn't affect the breaking system, but a vehicle
- 15:18Speaker 3: fire may increase the risk of serious injury or death
- 15:21Speaker 3: to vehicle occupants, other road uses and bystanders.
- 15:24Speaker 2: You came up with that report, and Yanda is advising.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Owners to park in an open space and away from
- 15:29Speaker 3: flammable materials and structures. Therefore, don't park your ixit vibe
- 15:33Speaker 3: in a garage, but on the street.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Maybe you don't leave your Samsung Galaxy phone in there too.
- 15:38Speaker 1: From that era, because that'll probably explode as well.
- 15:41Speaker 2: I mean, how does this happen?
- 15:43Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't understand how a car can
- 15:45Speaker 1: explode when it's got zero electricity going through it or anything.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Well, I think this is the worst case.
- 15:51Speaker 3: So the saying they sold nineteen five hundred of these
- 15:54Speaker 3: in between that period, I highly doubt all of them
- 15:57Speaker 3: are going to do this. But you might have a
- 15:59Speaker 3: cup all that have that might be that might reside
- 16:02Speaker 3: by the ocean or some other area, or I might
- 16:05Speaker 3: have moisture content that really sort of helps this short circuit.
- 16:08Speaker 3: And the second you get that short circuit, there's enough
- 16:10Speaker 3: sort of energy built up in there to start a
- 16:12Speaker 3: small fire which then becomes a big fire.
- 16:16Speaker 2: That's just not great.
- 16:18Speaker 1: That is they were They weren't a bad car. They yeah,
- 16:21Speaker 1: they did start to this issue. Yes, aside from this
- 16:23Speaker 1: little hoo ha. Imagine if you're the proud owner of
- 16:27Speaker 1: I X thirty five and then you just sort of
- 16:30Speaker 1: wake up in the middle of the night and you're like,
- 16:31Speaker 1: what the hell is that said?
- 16:33Speaker 2: Did you leave the toasta on Donald?
- 16:35Speaker 4: Like?
- 16:35Speaker 2: What's that?
- 16:36Speaker 3: Is that?
- 16:37Speaker 2: A barbecue?
- 16:37Speaker 3: I can smell that the house burned down Now that's
- 16:42Speaker 3: the sound of us losing our memories.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Gordy.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Did you know that as they sell more EV's, the
- 16:52Speaker 3: economies of scale will make batteries become cheaper, and then
- 16:56Speaker 3: EV's become cheaper.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Yes, Paul, I had a rough idea.
- 16:58Speaker 2: No, that's not true. Okay, that's that's not true.
- 17:01Speaker 3: EV battery prices have increased this year for the first time.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Oh so what they're doing is the exact.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Opposite of what everyone expected them to do, which is
- 17:10Speaker 3: go down in price. That's on the back of rising
- 17:14Speaker 3: material costs and inflation.
- 17:16Speaker 1: And parts and bloody chips and all this kind of crab,
- 17:19Speaker 1: this weird story that is getting peddled out.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Yea. So that is why at the moment we're seeing
- 17:26Speaker 3: the cost of EV's go up across the board.
- 17:28Speaker 2: And it's interesting.
- 17:30Speaker 3: I was having a look at a graph that Bloomberg
- 17:32Speaker 3: published and it showed that in twenty thirteen, the sort
- 17:34Speaker 3: of cost per killer what hour of battery was something
- 17:40Speaker 3: like seven hundred dollars, So it was quite expensive to
- 17:42Speaker 3: buy an EV in twenty thirteen. In twenty twenty one,
- 17:46Speaker 3: it was its lowest price at one hundred and forty
- 17:48Speaker 3: dollars per kilo what hour Now it's gone up to
- 17:50Speaker 3: one hundred and fifty one, and it looks like that
- 17:52Speaker 3: trend is set to increase as.
- 17:54Speaker 2: We move on.
- 17:55Speaker 3: So evs are going to become more expensive before they
- 17:58Speaker 3: become cheaper, and some of the European nations and now
- 18:01Speaker 3: mandating evs to just.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Be standard stuff, and it's like, well, who's going to
- 18:08Speaker 2: be able to afford these?
- 18:09Speaker 1: It's frustrating. It's a frust it's a frustrating piece of
- 18:11Speaker 1: news because I feel like we're in a good place
- 18:14Speaker 1: with EV's. They're starting to kind of leak into the
- 18:16Speaker 1: mainstream a lot, and then you get stuff like this
- 18:18Speaker 1: that kind of sets it back. Is this time to
- 18:22Speaker 1: commercialize hydrogen a bit more?
- 18:24Speaker 3: Maybe potentially, I mean people complain about the efficiency of hydrogen,
- 18:28Speaker 3: but ultimately you need less battery pack, which is getting expensive.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Now.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Yeah, hydrogen isn't as efficient, but if you're using green
- 18:37Speaker 3: energy to create it then and it's.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Less waiting time at the pump, so to speak.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Yep, you don't have to meet Donna on your road trips.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Well, that's actually that's a negative. I just want to
- 18:48Speaker 1: meet She's a tourist attraction.
- 18:50Speaker 2: You want to throw a leg over.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Oh god, yeah, you've got the famous buck and caves
- 18:55Speaker 1: and then you've got the famous Buck and Donna. Silly,
- 19:00Speaker 1: what is that? You know when you drive through Regional
- 19:02Speaker 1: Australia and you get like the giant Prawn and you
- 19:07Speaker 1: get the giant Kuala and the big jam or something,
- 19:10Speaker 1: then you just get Donna and she's just sitting on
- 19:13Speaker 1: a toilet on the road side and just you can
- 19:17Speaker 1: go in there. It was what you just like your
- 19:20Speaker 1: kids like, Mom, is that the dog in the tucker Box?
- 19:25Speaker 1: And Dad's like, I don't know, but to be safe
- 19:27Speaker 1: if I'm going to enter through the gift shop.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Oh my god, this is the worst episode. This is
- 19:33Speaker 2: the best episode ever.
- 19:35Speaker 1: By the way, we accept fan art, So if anyone
- 19:38Speaker 1: likes to draw a picture of Donna on the Tucker Box,
- 19:41Speaker 1: send it to us. We'll check it up on that Instagram.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Donna in the Tacker Box. Sam Hey for GT Mark four,
- 19:50Speaker 1: Holy shit balls?
- 19:52Speaker 2: How good is that? So good?
- 19:53Speaker 1: For G four looks like a almost looks like a
- 19:56Speaker 1: futuristic McLaren.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Well it's it sort of pays homage to the Lamon
- 20:03Speaker 3: winning GT. So this is sort of where they where
- 20:07Speaker 3: they've pulled it from. I just think that this is Yeah,
- 20:13Speaker 3: it is. It is such a cool looking thing. How
- 20:15Speaker 3: good is that spoiler?
- 20:17Speaker 1: It's so next level? Yeah, like everything from the lights
- 20:21Speaker 1: to the body kit on the look at that dining
- 20:25Speaker 1: board sitting up at the back of it. Jesus.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:29Speaker 3: So they're talking price one point seven million US dollars.
- 20:33Speaker 3: You have to apply for it, sixty seven of them.
- 20:37Speaker 3: But the cool thing is they're basically modifying the three
- 20:41Speaker 3: point five liter twin turbo Eco boost engine that it
- 20:44Speaker 3: comes with, which is a similar version to the engine
- 20:48Speaker 3: that's fitted to the F one fifty Raptor. They're saying
- 20:52Speaker 3: it should produce almost six hundred kilowatts of power, which
- 20:56Speaker 3: is insane. The regular road going version is just under
- 20:59Speaker 3: five hundred. What's a power still, Yeah, I kind of.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I mean they're good, they're great, but they're not. They're
- 21:05Speaker 1: pretty good.
- 21:06Speaker 2: No, But the thing is that weighs barely anything.
- 21:07Speaker 3: So it's got a full carbon body and it's a
- 21:10Speaker 3: lot of downforce, so it is.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:13Speaker 3: So we've got a friend of ours and the States
- 21:15Speaker 3: has the road going version of this, and it is
- 21:17Speaker 3: an unreal car. It sounds so good. It looks incredible.
- 21:20Speaker 3: It is, Yeah, it is just something else.
- 21:22Speaker 1: The other thing about Americans too, if they do a supercar,
- 21:25Speaker 1: it's always very bold and brash. Yeah, there's something almost
- 21:28Speaker 1: a little bit European about this.
- 21:30Speaker 3: I just love the fact that they're doing it because
- 21:33Speaker 3: at the moment everyone's sort of giving up on this
- 21:35Speaker 3: type of thing, and I love the fact that they're going, no, no,
- 21:37Speaker 3: we're still going to do this and just really really
- 21:40Speaker 3: get stuck into it. So I think it is a
- 21:42Speaker 3: sensational looking thing. What's this limited to sixty seven? Sixty
- 21:46Speaker 3: seven and it's track only so you can't drive it
- 21:47Speaker 3: on the road.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you make of you know, like high
- 21:51Speaker 1: end companies like Porsche and Ferrari, where they always have
- 21:54Speaker 1: when they're releasing a car, for instance, it could be
- 21:57Speaker 1: a special edition whatever, but they pretty much know the
- 21:59Speaker 1: clients they're going to give it to, Yeah, before it
- 22:02Speaker 1: even goes up for order.
- 22:04Speaker 3: This is the same thing, and actually quite funny. I
- 22:07Speaker 3: don't know if anyone is aware of this, but when
- 22:10Speaker 3: the AMGGT Black Series was being launched, if you wanted
- 22:14Speaker 3: to buy one, they had an application form, and on
- 22:17Speaker 3: that form they wanted your social media details, so they
- 22:21Speaker 3: only really gave people allocations if they were like big
- 22:25Speaker 3: on social media, which.
- 22:26Speaker 1: That blows when you think about it. They're the people
- 22:29Speaker 1: who are most likely to go bust at some point. Yeah,
- 22:32Speaker 1: you know what I mean, They're and more likely to
- 22:34Speaker 1: disgrace themselves.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I think this will be the same thing. And
- 22:37Speaker 3: I'm just looking at the expression of interest. So they're
- 22:39Speaker 3: asking for name, surname, email, phone number, location, and then
- 22:43Speaker 3: they want to know about other Ford or multimatic road
- 22:47Speaker 3: or race vehicles in your collection. So I think they'll
- 22:50Speaker 3: probably just stick with people who have amazing car collections here.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess you're out. I guess I'm out.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Well, I would definitely make mention of my V eight
- 23:01Speaker 3: Commodore's sure.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Sure, how's that going? Is that still collecting dust in
- 23:05Speaker 1: the corner?
- 23:06Speaker 2: Correct?
- 23:06Speaker 1: Yeah, obviously, maybe you could just show off your portfolio
- 23:10Speaker 1: of NFTs and bitcoin. That was a great idea.
- 23:13Speaker 2: That'd be a shoe in.
- 23:14Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, yeah, I know guys who have that
- 23:20Speaker 1: sort of deal with Porsche, for instance, I really do. No,
- 23:25Speaker 1: I've witnessed it firsthand, and what they do is I've
- 23:28Speaker 1: seen warehouses, walked in them, sat in these cars that
- 23:34Speaker 1: are so rare. Basically, what it is is these high
- 23:39Speaker 1: end execs they're given access to buy could be special
- 23:43Speaker 1: edition nine to eleven of some sorts. Right, they'll take
- 23:46Speaker 1: it to this warehouse and they'll stack it with ten,
- 23:50Speaker 1: twelve of their other cars that is not part of
- 23:54Speaker 1: their main collection. Right, So these are the rarest of
- 23:58Speaker 1: rare under super kind of security purposes. And god, I
- 24:03Speaker 1: know we've just come out of legal troubles and I
- 24:05Speaker 1: don't want to get into it again. But arguably what
- 24:09Speaker 1: that is is there. They call that their divorce account,
- 24:12Speaker 1: So it's stuff that when they go through a divorce.
- 24:16Speaker 1: It's somehow I don't know how, but it's somehow untrackable
- 24:19Speaker 1: assets that was that is worth a lot of money.
- 24:23Speaker 1: So it's arguably fifteen to twenty million dollars worth of
- 24:26Speaker 1: cars easily sitting right there that can't be traced. Amazing, right,
- 24:31Speaker 1: I'm doing choir, Yeah, babe, it should be divorcing you.
- 24:36Speaker 1: It won't be the other way around.
- 24:39Speaker 2: In one of those yeah how's your young day NFT going?
- 24:43Speaker 1: I feel like you're empt.
- 24:44Speaker 2: It's on fire at the moment.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Yes, Gage, it's in Donna's garage.
- 24:52Speaker 2: God a lot of things are in Donna's garage. Yeah,
- 24:54Speaker 2: a lot, a lot.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Are we ready? Are we ready for the review?
- 24:58Speaker 2: Yeah, let's let's do it.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Oh is that where we're going now? Now that we're
- 25:01Speaker 1: a new kind of we've got a new name, We're
- 25:04Speaker 1: a different sort of a podcast. Now we're all grown
- 25:06Speaker 1: up and professional and looking sweet. You've dropped your what
- 25:12Speaker 1: is iconic?
- 25:14Speaker 2: Yes, yes, there you are.
- 25:17Speaker 5: The twenty twenty two Forward Ranger. Prices start from fifty
- 25:21Speaker 5: three thousand, six hundred eighty dollars for the double camp
- 25:24Speaker 5: pick up four by four to the range topping Raptor
- 25:27Speaker 5: at eighty six thousand, seven hundred ninety dollars plus on
- 25:30Speaker 5: road costs.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I am so impressed with these cars, so impressed. And
- 25:35Speaker 1: I guess this is kind of a double of Forward Ranger,
- 25:38Speaker 1: WildTrack and Raptor. You know. One thing I will say
- 25:42Speaker 1: is one of the reasons why we actually started this
- 25:44Speaker 1: podcast was like car journalists would piss me off. Everyone
- 25:48Speaker 1: was lying to here, all the cars of the year
- 25:50Speaker 1: and best affordable. It's all bullshit, it's all crap. But
- 25:54Speaker 1: News Corp threw down one of the more accurate ones
- 25:58Speaker 1: I've seen it in quite a long time where their
- 26:00Speaker 1: top three was Model hy Ford Ranger and bydo three.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Oh there you go. There you going to make sure
- 26:08Speaker 2: we cover all bases.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Yeah, but it was interesting one two out of those
- 26:11Speaker 1: three are electric cars. I've said to you many times
- 26:14Speaker 1: how impressed I am with the with the Ranger. It
- 26:16Speaker 1: is so well engineered. It's such a great car. I
- 26:20Speaker 1: hate to suck up to Paul so who will engineered,
- 26:22Speaker 1: but it's just put together so well.
- 26:25Speaker 2: And that's got to the point where you bought one, yes, yeah.
- 26:27Speaker 3: And the thing is as well that this car is
- 26:30Speaker 3: a vehicle that was designed and engineered here in Australia.
- 26:33Speaker 1: So Forward by yourself, did you have something to do
- 26:35Speaker 1: with just by the way.
- 26:37Speaker 2: So you know, Forward has enough.
- 26:41Speaker 3: You know, faith in Ford Australia to manage that program
- 26:44Speaker 3: and including Everest, and these vehicles are sold in hundreds
- 26:46Speaker 3: of markets globally. It spawned the Amorock, which I'll be
- 26:50Speaker 3: driving soon, that shares a platform with it.
- 26:52Speaker 2: So yeah, they really have gone to town on.
- 26:57Speaker 3: I'm just putting as much effort into this as they
- 26:59Speaker 3: can and for me, the Raptor takes it to the
- 27:01Speaker 3: next level. They kind of went from the previous gym,
- 27:03Speaker 3: which is a two leter sort of very slow but
- 27:06Speaker 3: sort of fun over jumps and stuff into into this
- 27:09Speaker 3: new one, which is a twin turbo V six petrol.
- 27:11Speaker 3: It absolutely hammers uses a lot of fuel, but that's okay. Yeah,
- 27:18Speaker 3: I bought one, so I actually collected it recently from
- 27:21Speaker 3: Medeki Ford in Port mcquarie.
- 27:23Speaker 2: What happened was, after.
- 27:25Speaker 3: We did the initial sort of predevelopment drive, I put
- 27:27Speaker 3: out on social that I wanted to buy one, and
- 27:30Speaker 3: when the pricing came out, I was like, yeah, I'm
- 27:32Speaker 3: fine with that.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I want to buy one, of.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Course, ent that oh what's that? Any hundred thousand.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Fun dealers can give me a car on the first allocation,
- 27:41Speaker 3: I'll order it through you. And my preference was a
- 27:43Speaker 3: regional dealer. So when George Medek reached out to me,
- 27:48Speaker 3: here we go.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I hope you're listening to George. Jesus paid off dividends.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Where's my raptor, George? Well, no, here's my raptor well mcquarie.
- 27:56Speaker 2: For George, it.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Was only interested in people that are known. So yeah, I.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Have got I've got a photos now mate. Yeah, but
- 28:09Speaker 1: your still you're using yours? Yeah, back in the day
- 28:12Speaker 1: when you were tanning yourself with a bottle of soy sauce.
- 28:16Speaker 2: It's my European olive skills.
- 28:17Speaker 1: That is really not what it is. That's long gone.
- 28:20Speaker 3: So he reached out and said, I'll give you my
- 28:22Speaker 3: personal allocation, which he'd ordered like a year prior, and
- 28:26Speaker 3: I said thank you, and I did a road trip
- 28:29Speaker 3: to Port mccraye to pick it up. They were great
- 28:31Speaker 3: to deal with, and what we did was we shot
- 28:32Speaker 3: a video explaining what pre delivery is because when you
- 28:37Speaker 3: get charge a dealer delivery fair.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Look at it.
- 28:38Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, what are you charging me two grand for?
- 28:42Speaker 3: And two grand is is what you should be paying.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Any more than that, you're getting ripped off. But basically,
- 28:47Speaker 3: the dealer delivery fee covers transport from the boat to
- 28:50Speaker 3: the dealer, depending on the car brands Summer obviously more
- 28:54Speaker 3: expensive than others, depending on where the dealer is.
- 28:56Speaker 1: What's interesting too, is like, yeah, I was going to
- 28:58Speaker 1: say that because it's too great, and that's going from
- 29:01Speaker 1: what arguably Sydney.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Depends, which.
- 29:06Speaker 3: So it covers that cost. Then what Medeki Ford does.
- 29:09Speaker 3: And I don't know if this is the same for
- 29:10Speaker 3: all dealers. I just looked at their process. They basically
- 29:13Speaker 3: do a sort of all points inspection under the car.
- 29:16Speaker 3: It goes up on a hoist, they check all the switches,
- 29:18Speaker 3: the USB ports, all that sort of stuff.
- 29:21Speaker 2: They do a wheel alignment as well.
- 29:23Speaker 3: My car was slightly out on the front right wheel,
- 29:25Speaker 3: so they fix that up. It then goes out on
- 29:27Speaker 3: a test drive and then it gets a wash and
- 29:29Speaker 3: a detail. So for each car, it's basically a four
- 29:34Speaker 3: or five hour process to get it all done sort
- 29:37Speaker 3: of properly. And that is what you're paying for now.
- 29:40Speaker 3: That is the part that dealers have discretion over. So
- 29:43Speaker 3: when you basically go in there, they won't charge you
- 29:46Speaker 3: more than the recommended retail price and a new car,
- 29:48Speaker 3: but they can charge you more on dealer delivery. So
- 29:51Speaker 3: if you are seeing exorbitant fees on dealer delivery, that's
- 29:53Speaker 3: where they're making their margin off you.
- 29:56Speaker 1: F Yi, f yi, how's it going? How's it going
- 29:59Speaker 1: in the k Enjoy it great?
- 30:00Speaker 2: I love it? Yeah, it is really fun.
- 30:03Speaker 3: I love the sound, I love just everything I love
- 30:05Speaker 3: on the steering wheel, he can set the steering feel,
- 30:07Speaker 3: the exhaust with dampers like you can really just customize everything,
- 30:12Speaker 3: muck around with it.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's really cool. I love it.
- 30:15Speaker 1: I genuinely enjoyed it. To me, the sweet spot though
- 30:18Speaker 1: in the range was the Wild Track to the point
- 30:20Speaker 1: where I put down in order myself, not a Mediki Ford, George,
- 30:24Speaker 1: if you want to help a bro out, we've mentioned
- 30:26Speaker 1: your name quite a few times, Badeki Ford, Paul cry George,
- 30:29Speaker 1: Wild Track good, thank you anyway. But for me, Yeah,
- 30:35Speaker 1: getting back to the Raptor though it is you've got
- 30:37Speaker 1: this ceramic gray one yepen pinted. I had the I
- 30:42Speaker 1: don't know what color, fire engine red. I like to
- 30:45Speaker 1: call it code.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Oh.
- 30:46Speaker 1: I loved it, loved it a little bit. It stands
- 30:49Speaker 1: out and it's got like that real American sort of red,
- 30:52Speaker 1: like that kind of it's just a bloody red truck
- 30:56Speaker 1: vibe about it, and it really is. It's a chunky car.
- 30:59Speaker 1: It's really set up really well. It's just a brilliant
- 31:03Speaker 1: car from start to finish. It's a car you can
- 31:06Speaker 1: obviously daily the thing that got me into this, and
- 31:09Speaker 1: the same with the WildTrack. I've got this feeling as well.
- 31:11Speaker 1: But it is the sort of car where you can
- 31:13Speaker 1: switch it on and you can go from one end
- 31:15Speaker 1: of Australia to the other quite comfortably. You feel like
- 31:19Speaker 1: this car is capable as anything. It's really well put together.
- 31:22Speaker 1: There's nothing cheap about it. It's everything just works in cohesion.
- 31:27Speaker 1: And they've put a lot of thought into everything about this,
- 31:30Speaker 1: like the interior, just little things like you could rest
- 31:34Speaker 1: your arm on the side of the door and it
- 31:36Speaker 1: kind of looks like from a distance, I guess it
- 31:38Speaker 1: looks like a leatherish kind of material, but if you
- 31:41Speaker 1: get up close, it's like a squidgy kind of wet
- 31:43Speaker 1: suit that everything can be wiped down, you know what
- 31:46Speaker 1: I mean. Like, it's just kind of everything feels quality. Stitching, steering,
- 31:51Speaker 1: driver position. It doesn't feel I mean, for me, I
- 31:56Speaker 1: thought I was going to be driving an absolute monster
- 31:58Speaker 1: of a car. Sorry, but it doesn't feel like a
- 32:00Speaker 1: monster car. It just it feels like you're easy card
- 32:03Speaker 1: to drive around.
- 32:05Speaker 3: I like the safety teke as well. They've got a
- 32:07Speaker 3: feature with the blind spot monitor. You get into the
- 32:09Speaker 3: length of the trailer and then the blind spot monitor
- 32:11Speaker 3: will take into account the length of the trailer, so
- 32:13Speaker 3: when someone comes into the blind spot of the trailer,
- 32:16Speaker 3: you're not accidentally going to merge into them. And yeah,
- 32:20Speaker 3: they all of the cars as well can be optioned
- 32:23Speaker 3: or come standard with an integrated brake controller as well,
- 32:25Speaker 3: so you don't need to get that fitted on your own,
- 32:27Speaker 3: which costs money.
- 32:28Speaker 1: How do you go driving into a shopping center? Do
- 32:31Speaker 1: you have to squaw? I had to screw the unscrew
- 32:34Speaker 1: the aerial, But I mean, I think, what's the deal
- 32:37Speaker 1: because the sharkfin aerial will be fine. But that Yeah,
- 32:40Speaker 1: but well then you've got that big thing that sticks.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Out, that that thing bends. That's not an issue. So
- 32:45Speaker 2: you'll find with that.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it's more just if you're reversing into a hard object.
- 32:49Speaker 3: They're a bit stupid, mind you. A wraptor caught on
- 32:55Speaker 3: fire the other day. I saw a video of a
- 32:57Speaker 3: white one burning to the ground. And then yeah, there's
- 33:01Speaker 3: been a lot of issues with drive shaft vibrations and
- 33:04Speaker 3: stuff like that, so in the V sixers, So I'll
- 33:07Speaker 3: be keeping an eye on it just to see how
- 33:08Speaker 3: they go with reliability.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Hopefully they're not shit.
- 33:12Speaker 1: See how you go with that. The wild track was
- 33:15Speaker 1: was the same. I think everything's well put together. The
- 33:17Speaker 1: interior is great on it.
- 33:18Speaker 2: The V six diesel is good.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I loved it. It doesn't feel like too
- 33:23Speaker 1: noisy and like Radley kind of thing. It just feels
- 33:27Speaker 1: like what they've put up the front is something very capable.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I put an order into and I got quoted October
- 33:34Speaker 1: next year, so I'm not liking that about it.
- 33:36Speaker 2: It's only a year away.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I think those times will come down, and I
- 33:41Speaker 3: suggest you try a regional dealer as well.
- 33:44Speaker 1: What's his name from Medickie for George, Hey bro, I'm
- 33:48Speaker 1: in Sydney. I mean he's even quicker, bloody trip.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Well, when you're driving there in your BYD, I'll drive there.
- 33:53Speaker 1: In the BYD and pick it up.
- 33:55Speaker 2: I'll pick up the fuck.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Don't you dare say that about the by D. That's
- 34:00Speaker 1: one of the greatest electric cars of the year. It is.
- 34:02Speaker 1: It's a good car, according to News Corp, which I
- 34:06Speaker 1: think they I think they did it. I think they
- 34:08Speaker 1: did okay this year.
- 34:09Speaker 2: But look they gave the win to the Model. Y Yeah,
- 34:11Speaker 2: they did the.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Model Why god God, that's an ugly looking Although my
- 34:16Speaker 1: brother in law shout out to him. He bought a
- 34:18Speaker 1: brand Newie and he wrapped it in Matt black, which
- 34:25Speaker 1: I thought was. I was like, oh okay, and then
- 34:28Speaker 1: I saw it and it's not half shit. It's pretty good.
- 34:31Speaker 1: It's actually, to be honest, it's probably the best thing
- 34:33Speaker 1: you can do to that car.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Yeah, aside from not buy it.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it looks it looked way better with that
- 34:39Speaker 1: sort of thing. And they'd gone to the effort of
- 34:41Speaker 1: I think they that the t logo was in glass.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Glass black, just to make it stand out.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it's kid kill all touches actually, just very quickly
- 34:50Speaker 3: on elbows. He bought one and sold it after five days.
- 34:54Speaker 2: He hated the ride.
- 34:57Speaker 3: It was terrible, so I told him not to get
- 34:59Speaker 3: it with the twenties. Even the nineteens of the ride
- 35:01Speaker 3: is terrible. The twenties it is unbearably bad.
- 35:04Speaker 1: So look, it's it can be arguably it is a
