- 0:13Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, Welcome to Pink Shade. It's Mary Payne here.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I'm back from Vaca. Sorry, this episode's coming out of
- 0:19Speaker 1: smidge late, but I gotta work with time zones. Kimberly's
- 0:23Speaker 1: in California. I'm here. She's up early to do this
- 0:27Speaker 1: ish for me. But we are going to talk about
- 0:30Speaker 1: Welcome to platf L Season eight, episode three, and the
- 0:33Speaker 1: title is fish or cut bait. Ooh, that's like shit
- 0:39Speaker 1: or get off the pot? M yeah, fisher cut bait.
- 0:44Speaker 2: They these people should all cut bait, just with the
- 0:46Speaker 2: whole family.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Do you have you heard that phrase fisher cut bane? Yes,
- 0:50Speaker 1: you have, okay. I didn't know if that was like
- 0:52Speaker 1: a real country thing that you may not have heard.
- 0:55Speaker 2: No, it is a country thing, but I have heard it, okay.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Or maybe it's just a fishing thing that turned into
- 1:00Speaker 2: a dating for I don't know. Whatever.
- 1:02Speaker 1: The short Yeah, it's now or never, you know.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Welcome back from her trip though, Hey, thanks la la
- 1:10Speaker 2: oh la la.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I got back last night and stayed awake until ten pm.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Then I was like, that's it, that is it. I
- 1:19Speaker 1: got to go. I didn't go to bed at ten pm,
- 1:21Speaker 1: but I went upstairs and started the process. I was like,
- 1:24Speaker 1: on TI, Mom'm so tired.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sure, and.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I came back my Uh, I forgot to take my antibiotics.
- 1:30Speaker 1: The entire time I was in Paris, I just was like,
- 1:33Speaker 1: where so, uh yeah, so around yesterday whatever, what is time?
- 1:40Speaker 1: Forty eight hours ago? I was like, hmmm, I think
- 1:42Speaker 1: my science affection is back. I started coughing a lot,
- 1:45Speaker 1: so I started back up on antibotics. I'm sure that
- 1:50Speaker 1: that'll be just fine.
- 1:51Speaker 2: A small price to pay to go to Paris.
- 1:54Speaker 1: That's why I had. I had the antibotics with me.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I just forgot to take.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Her got yeah, because we were so busy fun.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I was having so much fun. And you know, I've
- 2:03Speaker 1: listened to you and Matt covered before the ninety days
- 2:06Speaker 1: for me this week, of which I so appreciative. It
- 2:09Speaker 1: was a delight to listen to the amount of shit
- 2:12Speaker 1: I was getting on my own show. I sent Matt's
- 2:19Speaker 1: Matt's a very strongly worded text and if he wrote back,
- 2:23Speaker 1: I'm never going to be invited back, am I? And
- 2:25Speaker 1: I said, no, I know, because you get to give
- 2:27Speaker 1: the people what they want, and what they want is filth.
- 2:30Speaker 1: One is filth.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Was did you like my impression of you telling the
- 2:39Speaker 2: story of the neighbor who hates when the dogs boop
- 2:41Speaker 2: on the lawn.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I felt that you were making fun of me, and
- 2:45Speaker 1: that was making fun of that lady. Truth. I didn't
- 2:48Speaker 1: like that, and I felt you made fun of me
- 2:51Speaker 1: when you said that. I thought Olivia Plath was my
- 2:53Speaker 1: best friend, which I don't. Can't get the girl to
- 2:57Speaker 1: even write me back once every six month, so obviously
- 3:01Speaker 1: we're not best friends. And uh, yeah, you made fun
- 3:05Speaker 1: of me a lot. I didn't write it all down.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I didn't keep a list in the in the brain.
- 3:12Speaker 3: It's gonna come back in the middle of the night
- 3:14Speaker 3: and then I'm going to get some emails. Yeah, And
- 3:17Speaker 3: I was like, wow, I'm going to be punished and
- 3:20Speaker 3: I'm going to continue to be assigned the worst people
- 3:23Speaker 3: to cover up.
- 3:24Speaker 1: That's another fucking thing you said. You did worst people
- 3:28Speaker 1: as if before a season starts with brand new people
- 3:30Speaker 1: that we have never seen. I go, you know what
- 3:33Speaker 1: it looks like. Forrest and Sheen are going to be
- 3:35Speaker 1: the worst. We thought they would be the most wholesome. Yeah,
- 3:39Speaker 1: we didn't know they're going to be like right, run
- 3:41Speaker 1: Knockingnecker the whole time. We didn't know. We didn't know
- 3:44Speaker 1: Shina was going to be a compulsive liar, like we
- 3:47Speaker 1: didn't know. We didn't know, So I don't assign you
- 3:50Speaker 1: the worst people on listen. I have had Gino and
- 3:53Speaker 1: Jasmine for all these years, and I finally relinquished Gino
- 3:56Speaker 1: and Jasmine and Natalie and Matt and over to you
- 4:01Speaker 1: because you were dying to do a Geno impression. No,
- 4:04Speaker 1: I was not, Yes, yes you are.
- 4:09Speaker 2: You can be good at something and not enjoy doing it.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Oh all right. I used to be very good at
- 4:13Speaker 1: doing Angela of Angela and Michael, but I didn't enjoy
- 4:17Speaker 1: doing it very good because my aunt was so bad. Yeah,
- 4:23Speaker 1: so bad. Well, I thank you again for doing it.
- 4:26Speaker 1: It always is enjoyable to listen to. And then I
- 4:29Speaker 1: just I was on the plane. I was on the
- 4:31Speaker 1: plane listening to it, just laughing at my own demise.
- 4:38Speaker 1: But everybody liked it, so thank you very much. And
- 4:40Speaker 1: I even had Ingrid make that special with you and
- 4:44Speaker 1: Matt together, like where he's looking at you. Yeah, I
- 4:47Speaker 1: had to make that. I was like, I go because
- 4:49Speaker 1: she just put up before the ninety days monkey and
- 4:52Speaker 1: I go no, no, no, you gotta you gotta make
- 4:55Speaker 1: like a little logo with Matt and Kimpleaa. People will
- 4:57Speaker 1: really okay, storry list. I'm just trying to get my
- 4:59Speaker 1: own up. Yeah for people really loving you and Matt. Yeah,
- 5:04Speaker 1: so I'm sorry, I'm back. Sorry.
- 5:06Speaker 2: No, no, I can't. I couldn't do it all the
- 5:08Speaker 2: time with Matt. It's too much jizz talk. It's so
- 5:12Speaker 2: much person can't handle it.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Let me, I'll read you the text that I wrote
- 5:18Speaker 1: Matt last night. I was writing some of them from
- 5:22Speaker 1: the plane. Let's see if I could find Matt mar Okay, okay,
- 5:31Speaker 1: I said, did you just say lick my labia on
- 5:36Speaker 1: my podcast?
- 5:37Speaker 2: I don't think I know if I even registered that.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Yeah, this is if you're watching on video. This is
- 5:43Speaker 1: his face. He sent me a picture I.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Don't even remember. Oh, I bet it was for Lisa
- 5:49Speaker 2: and Daniel. Yes, he likes to do that. Yeah.
- 5:53Speaker 1: And then he said I love you. And then five
- 5:57Speaker 1: minutes later, I said, did you just say I can
- 6:00Speaker 1: suck a big dick on my podcast? You ride back?
- 6:03Speaker 1: I'm never getting asked back now. I said, yeah, you
- 6:08Speaker 1: got to give the people what they want. What they
- 6:09Speaker 1: want is filth, And he said, well, I think plastic
- 6:12Speaker 1: Plastic Surgery Corner was a it. You kept coming back
- 6:16Speaker 1: to it, You kept coming back to it. I was like,
- 6:17Speaker 1: it's always a hit to talk about blast.
- 6:19Speaker 2: You know why, because I had that one droopy eyelid.
- 6:22Speaker 2: It was distracting me.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Oh okay, the name of the product you were mentioning,
- 6:27Speaker 1: And I've had several people reach out to ask me
- 6:29Speaker 1: is up nak up in ee q, And I do
- 6:34Speaker 1: have someone. I'll just mail it to you and you
- 6:36Speaker 1: can see if it works.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I would love that because I need I need a
- 6:39Speaker 2: sample first, Okay, because Katie said she tried it and
- 6:43Speaker 2: she didn't like it. It made her face look weird.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Jesus.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Uh, yeah, well you could just try it. I'll send
- 6:48Speaker 1: it to you because I have it. I had to
- 6:49Speaker 1: use it for my wonky lip because apparently it'll whatever again,
- 6:54Speaker 1: Plastic Surgery Corner. I'll send it to you because I
- 6:57Speaker 1: have a week gift to send you from Paris. Just
- 7:03Speaker 1: a tiny gift. Don't get excited. It's not an Eiffel
- 7:06Speaker 1: Tower key ring either, So.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Okay, thank you.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:09Speaker 2: So I would be appreciative of anything that's silly y'all.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I wear glasses, My husband wears glasses, both of my
- 7:17Speaker 1: kids wear glasses, and for the last few years the
- 7:20Speaker 1: only place we have shot for glasses is Warby Parker.
- 7:23Speaker 1: When you wear glasses all the time, like my husband
- 7:26Speaker 1: or my daughter do, it's one of the first things
- 7:27Speaker 1: people notice. So not only do they need to be functional,
- 7:30Speaker 1: they need to look good. So it's crazy how buying
- 7:33Speaker 1: glasses has always felt overly complicated and somewhat impossible to
- 7:36Speaker 1: find styles that you actually like, that you think look
- 7:39Speaker 1: good on you. You're asking six people, six strangers, does
- 7:43Speaker 1: this look good? Does this look good? But there's nothing
- 7:45Speaker 1: that comes close to Warby Parker on quality, price selection,
- 7:49Speaker 1: and customer service. And let me tell you about the
- 7:52Speaker 1: way I got my latest pair of Warby Parker glasses.
- 7:54Speaker 1: They're so cute. I got them through their virtual try on,
- 7:57Speaker 1: so you can literally try and glasses from your phone
- 7:59Speaker 1: before you You just hold it up and they put
- 8:01Speaker 1: them on your face and it's an exact replica of
- 8:04Speaker 1: what they look like when you get them. I'm speaking
- 8:05Speaker 1: from my experience. I've tried other virtual trials that feel
- 8:09Speaker 1: pretty janky, but with Warby Parker, you genuinely can tell
- 8:12Speaker 1: how they look. You just point your camera and boom,
- 8:14Speaker 1: you can see it. And Warby Parker's prescription glasses start
- 8:17Speaker 1: at ninety five dollars, so you can actually get quality
- 8:20Speaker 1: and stylish frames at an affordable price. I mean, go
- 8:23Speaker 1: ahead and get two pair. Why not. Warby Parker doesn't
- 8:26Speaker 1: just offer incredible prescription glasses. You can also get contacts online,
- 8:29Speaker 1: eye exams, and sunglasses. They also have over three hundred
- 8:33Speaker 1: retail stores across the US. It's nice knowing you have
- 8:36Speaker 1: that in person option. We have one right here by
- 8:38Speaker 1: my house. The customer service is top notch and it's
- 8:42Speaker 1: the cutest little store and they also accept most major
- 8:45Speaker 1: eye insurance plans. Warby Parker gives you quality and better
- 8:48Speaker 1: looking prescription eyewear at a fraction of the going price.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Our listeners get fifteen percent off plus free shipping when
- 8:54Speaker 1: they buy two or more pair of prescription glasses at
- 8:57Speaker 1: Warbyparker dot com slash pink. That's fifteen percent off when
- 9:01Speaker 1: you buy two pair of glasses at W A R. B.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Y Parker dot com slash pink shade. After you purchase,
- 9:08Speaker 1: they will ask you where you heard about them. Please
- 9:10Speaker 1: support our show and tell them Pink Shade sent you.
- 9:15Speaker 1: So also on Fridays, Pink Shade Prime the five dollar level.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Kimberly and I will be chatting and she will have
- 9:22Speaker 1: to listen to me give a brief summary of my
- 9:24Speaker 1: trip to Paris and things that we did and things
- 9:27Speaker 1: that were interesting, et cetera. And I did see We
- 9:31Speaker 1: saw not one but two fist fights in the street.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Two two.
- 9:35Speaker 1: The first one was like a real like punches and
- 9:38Speaker 1: then the second one was almost a fist fight. So
- 9:41Speaker 1: if you want to hear about that, you're going to
- 9:43Speaker 1: have to join and go over there and listen. But
- 9:45Speaker 1: it was crazy. I was like, God, Preisians are lay angry.
- 9:49Speaker 2: That's I was going to ask. Were they tourists or
- 9:52Speaker 2: were they local?
- 9:53Speaker 1: All locals?
- 9:54Speaker 2: Wow, they're fiery, They're they're passionate, passionate people.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Angry is what several of perisions that Psis are just angry.
- 10:04Speaker 1: They love a protest. They'll have to protest, yes they
- 10:08Speaker 1: will the French Revolution. They love to protest. They love
- 10:11Speaker 1: to get real angry and yell at each other and
- 10:14Speaker 1: you don't even know, like are they having a conversation
- 10:16Speaker 1: that's enjoyable or are they fighting? They sound so mad
- 10:21Speaker 1: and so David and I have given ourselves one year
- 10:24Speaker 1: to learn more French. Just we're gonna like, actually, like
- 10:27Speaker 1: take a class.
- 10:28Speaker 2: That would be amazing. I would love that.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I don't know if we're gonna be able to get it.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I think it's very hard at this age to learn
- 10:34Speaker 1: a language.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I've tried. It's it was hard for me even younger.
- 10:38Speaker 2: So I don't even know how I would do it now.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I used to being this, my brain is closed new
- 10:44Speaker 2: information that is not ninety day related.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I think so, I think so so.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I mean I have to remember all these people's names.
- 10:51Speaker 1: It's too much and sometimes it'll let me tell you what, okay.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Earlier today I recorded with the A's fanning for Thursday's episode,
- 10:59Speaker 1: a couple of things. He wants to have you on
- 11:01Speaker 1: because sometimes they cover a dateline. Oh, he said, love
- 11:05Speaker 1: to have Kimberly on. And I said, I said, well,
- 11:07Speaker 1: you can't make fun of Dayline and remean about dateline
- 11:10Speaker 1: because that's their bread and butter. He said, is it
- 11:13Speaker 1: okay if sometimes we make fun of the victim? I said,
- 11:17Speaker 1: really no, it's really not. I said, you know, you.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Could like listen.
- 11:21Speaker 1: You could be like that was that was weird or whatever.
- 11:24Speaker 1: That was a weird thing. But no, you can't make
- 11:26Speaker 1: fun of a victim.
- 11:27Speaker 2: It would it depends which one of us they have on,
- 11:29Speaker 2: because Katie would never stand for that. But I'm fine
- 11:34Speaker 2: with it. YEA make fun of everybody. He said, Oh,
- 11:36Speaker 2: Katy won't let me body shame the killers.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I said, kimberly. I said, they don't curse it all
- 11:43Speaker 1: on their show, but she really lets it go on
- 11:45Speaker 1: Pink Shade. He said, okay, great, that's what I need.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Because he's filthy, like Matt filthy. I love it, like
- 11:51Speaker 1: he's gross. Right right before we logged on, I mean
- 11:55Speaker 1: right before I was about to hit record, I muted
- 11:59Speaker 1: my microe because I had to do it like a
- 12:02Speaker 1: throw clearing because I've got this sign and says I
- 12:04Speaker 1: muted my microphone. While I muted my microphone to clear
- 12:07Speaker 1: my throat, he did the loudest verb into the microphone.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I was like, a see, because I'm sorry, I'm disgusting.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I go, you.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Gotta man, you're a Southern lady. You're genteel.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I am. He's like, I didn't think you'd mind. I
- 12:21Speaker 1: was like anybody would mind. You just worked on my face.
- 12:25Speaker 1: He's so funny. So that'll be out Thursday, everybody. But
- 12:28Speaker 1: this episode is late. I'm sorry. We'll get into it.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I have something very interesting to tell you when we
- 12:34Speaker 1: get to guys night, you know, with the guys just
- 12:37Speaker 1: being guys. I have something very interesting to tell you.
- 12:41Speaker 1: You're muted. You muted yourself.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Yeah, sorry, I was chewing my mint.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna have I'm gonna have a caffeine met right now.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I needed that.
- 12:51Speaker 2: So I'm doing the recap, So get ready, people, it's
- 12:54Speaker 2: gonna be a lot of me.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I love it, and I love how angry. You're probably
- 12:58Speaker 1: going to be pretty angry. Yeah, okay.
- 13:02Speaker 2: So we're at a bar in Bainbridge, South Georgia, which again,
- 13:07Speaker 2: why is it? But is Georgia state? That's that divide,
- 13:11Speaker 2: that's that huge that you're inviting it.
- 13:14Speaker 1: By I think is I think everything is right there together.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, and again, remind me how far it is
- 13:21Speaker 2: from kro.
- 13:25Speaker 1: To Tallahassee for forty five minutes.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Okay, thank you. So the Three Pale Boys Ethan New Cowboy,
- 13:35Speaker 2: Micah and Daddy Bear Daddy Barry Bear, Big Bear Papa
- 13:40Speaker 2: bear ZADDI no A little for me, yes, and I gross.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I know that's disturbing. I hate it about myself, but
- 13:51Speaker 2: sometimes I think you could get it really yeah, in
- 13:57Speaker 2: a serial killer kind of way. Okay, yes, like I
- 14:00Speaker 2: might die during or after, might be worth it. So
- 14:07Speaker 2: Milas is pretty boring, shocking shocking information, I know. So
- 14:13Speaker 2: they walk past an Air Force employee veteran, some sort
- 14:17Speaker 2: of recruiting center which I almost thought they were all
- 14:20Speaker 2: going to walk in and sign up to serve and
- 14:22Speaker 2: I and then they walk right past it and go
- 14:25Speaker 2: to a bar. Yeah, And I was like, yeah, that's
- 14:27Speaker 2: that's about right. So Barry is ordering a cider in
- 14:31Speaker 2: a can.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I don't know. Maybe he wants to be sure it's
- 14:36Speaker 1: a fresh sider so he doesn't get roofeed. I don't know.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Micah goes it's five o'clock somewhere, and Barry is puzzled
- 14:46Speaker 2: like he has never heard that expression.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Before, never has heard that expression now.
- 14:50Speaker 2: And then Mariah comes in in a long plaid dress
- 14:54Speaker 2: and I was thinking Max would love the outfit because
- 14:58Speaker 2: not an ass cheek could be found.
- 15:01Speaker 1: No, Max would not approval for tattoos, but he would
- 15:04Speaker 1: like that dress.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Yeah, uh huh, it's like covered up to the neck.
- 15:09Speaker 1: She's going bachelor roots. Yeah.
- 15:12Speaker 2: So Ethan says yeah to basically nothing at all, and
- 15:17Speaker 2: Micah says, cheers to Ethan on saying his first word today,
- 15:21Speaker 2: and then it all gets awkward. Yeah.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I mean when As and I were talking, he was like,
- 15:25Speaker 1: when did it turn with Ethan? When did he become
- 15:27Speaker 1: so dark? I go, I could tell exactly when, because
- 15:29Speaker 1: I'm covering it right now. Between season two and three,
- 15:33Speaker 1: he was a completely different person.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Yeah, and now be evaluated.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Maybe an SSRI.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Something would help him.
- 15:42Speaker 2: So Mariah says, let's all go around and say something
- 15:46Speaker 2: we didn't do today, and it was very oddly phrased.
- 15:50Speaker 2: I didn't understand the game. But they think this is
- 15:53Speaker 2: a lead into her admitting that she drove into another fountain.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Why morning fountains are in that town?
- 16:06Speaker 2: How many is she driven into?
- 16:08Speaker 1: More than one?
- 16:09Speaker 2: Apparently, And she says no incidents since I left Georgia,
- 16:14Speaker 2: and she's talking about how great Montana is. She thought
- 16:17Speaker 2: there were no people there, but it turns out she
- 16:20Speaker 2: needs people but not you guys.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I love that.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I love that for her. And then Ethan says, I
- 16:26Speaker 2: don't blame you, but in like a really dark way,
- 16:29Speaker 2: like they all fucking hate each other. And Mariah was
- 16:32Speaker 2: making a joke and he's not joking.
- 16:35Speaker 1: She's like, I'm only in town to film this show,
- 16:37Speaker 1: so i get my five thousand dollars in Amazon gift card. Yeah.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Yeah, these people do not like each other. It's super awkward.
- 16:45Speaker 2: So Mariah is like, Montana is amazing, the community is great.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I really belong there and I needed to reset and
- 16:51Speaker 2: to grow up a bit, and I think it's the
- 16:54Speaker 2: place for me. And they all think she's so happy.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Good.
- 16:57Speaker 2: So then Barry says, I had a vision of maybe
- 17:01Speaker 2: finding myself a lady in Montana. And he's grinning like
- 17:05Speaker 2: a serial killer who is toying with his victim, like
- 17:08Speaker 2: making them think they're gonna get away so he can
- 17:11Speaker 2: catch them again. Oh that's like he might leave the
- 17:15Speaker 2: door ajar and the chains unlocked so they think they're
- 17:21Speaker 2: going to escape, but it's all an elaborate trap so
- 17:23Speaker 2: you can catch them again because he likes the hunt.
- 17:27Speaker 2: So and it's pretty dark, kind of hot in a week.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I know me too, Seriously, I think I need my SSR.
- 17:39Speaker 2: I he says, I'd just like to meet someone anywhere,
- 17:43Speaker 2: and Ethan is so uncomfortable. He's like, I'm staying out
- 17:46Speaker 2: of it. I don't want to be at a bar
- 17:48Speaker 2: and I hook my dad up with somebody and it
- 17:51Speaker 2: goes bad. I mean, if he meets someone that looks good.
- 17:55Speaker 2: But is he just thinking with his third legibly when he.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Said third leg ethan is for salt. Sex is all
- 18:06Speaker 1: he thinks.
- 18:06Speaker 2: About, Uh huh.
- 18:08Speaker 1: And what a weird fucking thing to say about your father.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Your father. It's like he's just learned all of these
- 18:14Speaker 2: phrases in fourth grade and he can't wait to try
- 18:17Speaker 2: them out.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. It is like a fourth grade boy who's like,
- 18:22Speaker 1: when I go home to dinner, I'm gonna say boobs
- 18:24Speaker 1: and see what happens. Yes, yeah, yeah.
- 18:28Speaker 2: So Barry says Ethan. By the way, Ethan always autocorrects
- 18:32Speaker 2: to ethanol on.
- 18:34Speaker 1: My like ethanol like gas yeah yeah, yeah yeah.
- 18:41Speaker 2: So he's playing bump on a log right now, And Micah,
- 18:46Speaker 2: he really needs to process his last toxic relationship with
- 18:50Speaker 2: she who must not be named. We don't say her
- 18:52Speaker 2: name anymore. But I myself am feeling really optimistic about
- 18:57Speaker 2: my future and my new life. And so mari I
- 19:00Speaker 2: was like, Okay, do you know any pickup lines? And
- 19:03Speaker 2: he's like no, and Ethan's like, I don't have any.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I don't know how I landed Olivia, the most beautiful
- 19:09Speaker 2: woman in the world.
- 19:10Speaker 1: That was arranged. And the way he got Teagan was
- 19:14Speaker 1: she slid into his DMS and said, hey, I'll like
- 19:16Speaker 1: your motorcycle or whatever. So he's never had to do
- 19:19Speaker 1: the work. Never.
- 19:21Speaker 2: So then Micah says, Barry, this is so awkward. Mike goes, Dad,
- 19:28Speaker 2: you should do like how you doing? How you doing? Baby?
- 19:34Speaker 2: How you doing? And he's doing this semi New York,
- 19:39Speaker 2: semi Boston, semi. They all start doing these horrible accents.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Kimberly. Micah has just started watching Friends and he's he's
- 19:49Speaker 1: doing Joey, How you doing?
- 19:50Speaker 2: No, I wrote it, he should do a Joey from Friends,
- 19:55Speaker 2: but no one knows what he's talking about.
- 19:57Speaker 1: They don't get it.
- 19:58Speaker 2: They don't get it. But the since they're all doing
- 20:02Speaker 2: terrible and so Barry says, yeah, my kids probably won't
- 20:05Speaker 2: be willing wing men. But there are other people I
- 20:08Speaker 2: can get help from, like my daughter's new husband that
- 20:11Speaker 2: everyone thought was gay. Sure, great.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:15Speaker 2: So then we go to Kaylin and it lists her
- 20:19Speaker 2: as Isaac's ex girlfriend whoa slammed yea, and she says
- 20:24Speaker 2: they broke up. She didn't see it coming. She goes
- 20:27Speaker 2: to her friend Kim's house, not that Kim, good Kim,
- 20:30Speaker 2: and they're gonna drink wine and they met through nursing. Also,
- 20:35Speaker 2: Kim is like thirty years older than Kaylin, but she
- 20:37Speaker 2: looks great.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:40Speaker 2: So Caylen tells Kim Isaac was being really distant and
- 20:43Speaker 2: then he pulled her aside. He couldn't spit it out,
- 20:45Speaker 2: so she was like, say it with your whole chest,
- 20:47Speaker 2: say it. And he finally said we should break up,
- 20:50Speaker 2: and she was shocked. And then we're cutting back and
- 20:53Speaker 2: forth between them. Isaac is peanut farming with his coworker
- 20:57Speaker 2: Ralph didn't know that was still a name.
- 21:01Speaker 1: And your dad's dog name Ralph, Ralphie, Ralphie. You know,
- 21:06Speaker 1: I follow your dad on Instagram and it's very entertaining.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Thank you. We pSTS a lot of Ralphie and Benji together.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, they love each other. So Isaac tells
- 21:17Speaker 2: us that he broke up with Kaylin because it was
- 21:19Speaker 2: going too fast, and he wanted to be free, and
- 21:23Speaker 2: she's older than him and New Years maybe wanted to
- 21:26Speaker 2: settle down. I was like, she is twenty two.
- 21:29Speaker 1: She's twenty two and he's twenty.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I know it's the South, but stop acting like she's
- 21:36Speaker 2: like her eggs are drying up.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Right, They're literally acting like this. Poor Spenser is on
- 21:41Speaker 1: her last leg. Yees.
- 21:45Speaker 2: So he says, everything my family has been through lately
- 21:48Speaker 2: scared him. That's really true, And he says it still
- 21:53Speaker 2: haunts me to this day. How shocked Kaelin was. It
- 21:56Speaker 2: still haunts me to this day. It was like two
- 22:01Speaker 2: days ago.
- 22:04Speaker 1: These people are not educated, Kimberly, they don't understand things.
- 22:10Speaker 2: And he still bothers me to this day that you
- 22:16Speaker 2: were hurt by my Olivia Plath joke, which happened fifteen
- 22:20Speaker 2: minutes ago. But to this day it bothers me.
- 22:23Speaker 1: To this day, I'd already forgotten about it. So that
- 22:27Speaker 1: shows you how quick I am to forgive.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Yeah, to this day, her face when I broke up
- 22:34Speaker 2: with her yesterday, to this day still bothers me.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I think I think they have been broken up, what
- 22:41Speaker 1: three days? At this point, it's.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Been three days approximately. Yeah, so Caylin is telling her friend.
- 22:47Speaker 2: For some reason, he thought I wanted to get married
- 22:49Speaker 2: in the next year or two, and some of his
- 22:52Speaker 2: work friends got into his head about settling down. Ralph
- 22:56Speaker 2: and if Ralph and some guy named Mario apparently trouble.
- 23:01Speaker 2: So Kim psychoanalyzes Isaac and is like, he's been surrounded
- 23:06Speaker 2: by breakups and divorce because of the V word for
- 23:11Speaker 2: we don't say her name, Olivia and Barry and Kim. So,
- 23:18Speaker 2: but you're not the same kind of person as Veronica,
- 23:21Speaker 2: she actually says Veronica. So Caylin says, the day after
- 23:25Speaker 2: we broke up, he called my mama and daddy and
- 23:28Speaker 2: apologized for hurting me and asked them to pray for him.
- 23:33Speaker 2: And Mama said he seemed confused about things.
- 23:36Speaker 1: That's weird. That is weird. I understand that they're like
- 23:40Speaker 1: very close and he probably they probably you know, it
- 23:43Speaker 1: was with the family a lot, But I do think
- 23:45Speaker 1: it's weird. He didn't call off an engagement or they're
- 23:48Speaker 1: not getting a divorce and they have three kids and
- 23:50Speaker 1: he just wanted to explain his side to the parents.
- 23:52Speaker 1: They've only been deadying a year. I found that strange.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe he was really close to them, and they
- 23:57Speaker 2: were like parents to him because his own parents suck.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Could be, could be so his mom like her mom
- 24:05Speaker 2: doesn't wear crazy raccoon drunk panda eyeliner and could be
- 24:10Speaker 2: getting duiy's everywhere. He trusts this woman.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Get du eyes everywhere.
- 24:14Speaker 2: So uh, Isaac says, I know in my gut it
- 24:20Speaker 2: wasn't a good decision and she didn't deserve it, and
- 24:24Speaker 2: I want to rebuild with her.
- 24:26Speaker 1: And he built from three days ago.
- 24:28Speaker 2: From three days ago. He says, I've only been alone
- 24:30Speaker 2: for a few days, but it's killing me. So Isaac
- 24:36Speaker 2: then tells Ralph, I'm good at fucking things up, and
- 24:39Speaker 2: I shouldn't have listened to Mario. Mario's gonna get a
- 24:43Speaker 2: beat down later. Peanuts shoved in his mouth, pelt it
- 24:48Speaker 2: with peanuts.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Stand Mario, take your abuse. You're gonna felt him with peanuts.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Do you think he cheated? Ace thinks he did. I
- 25:00Speaker 1: think he felt the lure of another woman. Like he
- 25:04Speaker 1: was somewhere and another girl was there and was flirting
- 25:06Speaker 1: with him and stuff, and he's like, what am I doing?
- 25:08Speaker 1: Why am I tying myself down? There's this other you know,
- 25:11Speaker 1: shiny news thing that wants to his.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Jimmy Carter friends were egging him on and being like,
- 25:17Speaker 2: we'll go with her.
- 25:18Speaker 1: You're not married, you're not married, you could do what
- 25:20Speaker 1: you want. Look at look at Mario. He's banging his
- 25:22Speaker 1: way through kro Yeah. Uh huh. I think I think
- 25:27Speaker 1: I could see it the lure of another woman. But
- 25:29Speaker 1: I don't think he did anything.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I agree, Yeah, but he still feels skilty
- 25:35Speaker 2: about it.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Yeah, so he felt like he should break up with
- 25:38Speaker 1: Kaylen so he could have carnal knowledge of another woman.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Correct. Yeah, so uh she He says, where I'm at
- 25:47Speaker 2: now is close to hell. In the past day and
- 25:50Speaker 2: a half that I've been alone, I hate myself. I
- 25:54Speaker 2: don't want to wake up if I'm not with her. Wow,
- 25:57Speaker 2: that's just him, some SSRIs.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Twenty year old love right there. You know, it's so
- 26:02Speaker 1: powerful in those hormones on a young man who's wants
- 26:07Speaker 1: to bang it out, wants to.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Bang it out. So I need to rebuild. It's all
- 26:12Speaker 2: about rebuilding. I need to rebuild trust with her, and
- 26:16Speaker 2: I don't know if she's going to give me a
- 26:18Speaker 2: second chance or if this whole thing is just a
- 26:21Speaker 2: hill of peanuts. I don't know. So Caylin says to Kim,
- 26:28Speaker 2: he's reached out and he wants to talk whenever I'm ready,
- 26:31Speaker 2: but I'm making him wait it out because I know
- 26:33Speaker 2: my self worth and I'm not a second option to anybody.
- 26:37Speaker 2: And Kim says, listen, I know he was struggling, but
- 26:40Speaker 2: he wasn't considerate to your feelings at all before doing this.
- 26:44Speaker 2: And I don't know if Isaac is wis best for you.
- 26:47Speaker 2: And she says, he put that seat of doubt in you, now,
- 26:51Speaker 2: that peanut of doubt in you, and now there's always
- 26:56Speaker 2: going to be these questions. And when a man wants
- 26:58Speaker 2: to wife up, he will show you and you won't
- 27:00Speaker 2: have any doubts.
- 27:02Speaker 1: I agree with all that, but he is twenty.
- 27:05Speaker 2: He's twenty though. Yeah, maybe she's from a super messed
- 27:09Speaker 2: up family.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:12Speaker 2: So then we're at the Plath family farm and ethanol
- 27:15Speaker 2: ethanol like all like alin cyanide, jarsnik Anti Freeze asks Mary,
- 27:28Speaker 2: Kate and Ashley if they want to sing with him,
- 27:31Speaker 2: So they have a blonde Arian nation. Jam sash outside
- 27:35Speaker 2: on the porch. That was something they sing, amazing grace
- 27:39Speaker 2: and not a brown hair. It can be seen. No,
- 27:44Speaker 2: this could be the cover of one of those white
- 27:46Speaker 2: power quartets.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I took pictures of it, but I doubt they're
- 27:52Speaker 1: on my phone.
- 27:53Speaker 2: All denim and dirty bear feet.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I couldn't get over it. He pulled them out side.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I took screenshots, but I feel like it stays on
- 28:02Speaker 1: my iPad and doesn't transfer to my phone. It didn't.
- 28:05Speaker 1: I really could not get over the singing. And when
- 28:09Speaker 1: they started singing, Dave was in the room because I
- 28:11Speaker 1: was watching it, and he goes, oh, I don't know
- 28:15Speaker 1: that song is always like so good. I know it's
- 28:17Speaker 1: not a Presbyterian song as a Baptist song. I was like,
- 28:20Speaker 1: who cares.
- 28:21Speaker 2: They don't know what they are.
- 28:23Speaker 1: They don't they're not any religion really, and Dave goes, oh,
- 28:26Speaker 1: they don't actually sound terrible. I go, well, their lead
- 28:30Speaker 1: singer is not there, so yeah, that's good.
- 28:32Speaker 2: We're missing Mariah and Lydia.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Yes, the two lead singers of the band that are
- 28:38Speaker 1: the apparently the worst singers.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Yeah. There was this group that my friend thought was
- 28:43Speaker 2: so funny and he was like obsessed with them in
- 28:46Speaker 2: a bad way, just how horrible it was. And they
- 28:49Speaker 2: were called Prussian Blue which if you don't know, is
- 28:53Speaker 2: like a poisoning agent that was used in wartimes and
- 28:57Speaker 2: it's very bad. But it's too blonde girls that have
- 29:02Speaker 2: been raised in a white neo Nazi community and they
- 29:09Speaker 2: pose with like a banjo and they have a singing group,
- 29:12Speaker 2: and they made albums and they would go on tours
- 29:14Speaker 2: and they were like literally like twelve years old, but
- 29:19Speaker 2: brainwashed into this. And then later they came out of
- 29:21Speaker 2: it and they were like, we were raised like that,
- 29:25Speaker 2: but it's horrible and we don't want anything to do
- 29:27Speaker 2: with it. But anyway, that album cover look exactly like
- 29:32Speaker 2: these four sitting on the porch.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah, I turned to screen around and showed it today.
- 29:39Speaker 1: He was like, it's that guy's hair. That's his hair color.
- 29:42Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, so Ethan says, I'm thankful for spending time
- 29:47Speaker 2: with my little sisters, but the magic days of the
- 29:50Speaker 2: farm are gone. And when I'm with Teagan, Teagan Michael
- 29:56Speaker 2: t I feel at home. And now I can't sleep
- 30:03Speaker 2: and I just pace and I don't know what I'm doing.
- 30:06Speaker 2: I don't feel like I belong here anymore. And so
- 30:08Speaker 2: the producer asked if he's leaving Georgia and where he'll go,
- 30:11Speaker 2: and he's like, God only knows.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Okay, well take me, get on that motorcycle and skid adele.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't need you here. No, you're dragging down
- 30:26Speaker 2: the whole family with your droopy dog. Why are you there,
- 30:30Speaker 2: Debbie Downer routine.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Go to Wisconsin, yautiguan Is and start your life there.
- 30:35Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 30:36Speaker 2: Yeah? So then we're in Tallahassee Lydia and Zach's apartment
- 30:41Speaker 2: and Kim is there, bad Kim, not wine nurse Kim,
- 30:46Speaker 2: and Lydia is trying to get closer to her mom
- 30:50Speaker 2: by giving her a haircut, and she totally knows what
- 30:53Speaker 2: she's doing.
- 30:57Speaker 1: The amount of photos that I have iPad of the
- 31:01Speaker 1: angles they were getting a Kim, it was just like
- 31:03Speaker 1: the beginning of last season where they started out with
- 31:05Speaker 1: a similar angle of Ethan and Kim sitting in these
- 31:09Speaker 1: chairs like Backwoods Tony and Carmelo soprano like her, her her,
- 31:13Speaker 1: they were and.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Camera sitting up you could tell.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Even though they're trying to make us believe that they
- 31:21Speaker 1: like her by doing a roast of Kim, Yeah, no.
- 31:26Speaker 2: They hate her, No, they hate her. That camera angle
- 31:29Speaker 2: is bad, bad bad Uh. So Lydia she's giving her
- 31:35Speaker 2: a haircut. She says, I want my mom to put
- 31:37Speaker 2: my put her walls down and admit why there's distance
- 31:40Speaker 2: between us. So Kim says to us that she felt
- 31:44Speaker 2: condemnation from Lydia about her life choices like the divorce,
- 31:50Speaker 2: not the dui, not in the house boat, not.
- 31:53Speaker 1: The way that she raised her children. Yeah, and then
- 31:58Speaker 1: did everything the opposite and it was when it was
- 32:01Speaker 1: right for her.
- 32:03Speaker 2: But no, but it's the divorce that Lydia was judging
- 32:07Speaker 2: and that's why she didn't reach out. So again, it's
- 32:09Speaker 2: not her fault. Lydia made her feel like she couldn't
- 32:12Speaker 2: reach out her child, child child. Yeah. So Kim asked
- 32:17Speaker 2: about married life, and Lydia says, you know, we're still newlyweds,
- 32:20Speaker 2: but I don't want in ten years to be like, Wow,
- 32:22Speaker 2: the honeymoon phase was fun, but now it's sucks. So
- 32:27Speaker 2: like we're having the tough conversations now too. And she says,
- 32:32Speaker 2: and you know, the things we admired about each other
- 32:35Speaker 2: in the beginning, they're still in the beginning. We that
- 32:39Speaker 2: we feel have faded a little. That's hard to hear,
- 32:42Speaker 2: but it's important, and he's good at hard conversations. I
- 32:47Speaker 2: never know what any of these people are talking about.
- 32:49Speaker 1: I don't know what she means by things he admired things.
- 32:53Speaker 1: So in the beginning, you admired that he enjoys skipping
- 32:56Speaker 1: down a sidewalk right missing, and now all he wants
- 32:59Speaker 1: to do his makeout and you're like, what about the
- 33:01Speaker 1: times and we would hold hands and skip down the sidelaw. Yeah,
- 33:04Speaker 1: I don't know what they could be. They've only known
- 33:06Speaker 1: each other a year and a half, you know. Yeah.
- 33:09Speaker 2: And also again, I don't know how you take notes
- 33:11Speaker 2: on this show, because everyone talks in circles and jumbles
- 33:15Speaker 2: and weird like metaphors that are not metaphors and vague statements,
- 33:21Speaker 2: and it's confusing.
- 33:24Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm just so used to Plath talk.
- 33:26Speaker 1: I just I just I get it. I just get
- 33:29Speaker 1: it somehow. I mean people, No, they don't ever do that.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Lydia says, when life comes at you, it wounds you,
- 33:37Speaker 2: and it affects every aspect of your life, which I
- 33:40Speaker 2: think she's saying the stress of what was going on
- 33:43Speaker 2: with the family was affecting her relationship with Zach Okay
- 33:48Speaker 2: that's what I got from it. Again, you have to
- 33:50Speaker 2: sit and interpret well.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Or was she talking about how the divorce affected everybody
- 33:56Speaker 1: and affected her specifically because she then had to become
- 33:59Speaker 1: very wife.
- 34:01Speaker 2: That's yeah, that's possible.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Yeah, she and Barry were like going dates of the park,
- 34:04Speaker 1: and I mean she had to become she was already
- 34:08Speaker 1: the homemaker of the house, but then she also had
- 34:10Speaker 1: to become Barry's wife and emotionally support her dad. When
- 34:14Speaker 1: the mom laughed, she's her mom's she and they were
- 34:17Speaker 1: the closest, those two.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's crazy. It was weird as fuck.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Yeah, weird.
- 34:24Speaker 2: So Kim has a lot of tangles because she's a horrible,
- 34:27Speaker 2: bad person, and Lydia says, oh Lord, I was like, Lydia,
- 34:33Speaker 2: did you just say a name? Lord's name in vain?
- 34:35Speaker 1: What? I think? Ken's got a lot of tangles from
- 34:39Speaker 1: being on her back, you know what I'm saying. I'm
- 34:44Speaker 1: just saying gross. Well, I don't want to picture anything.
- 34:50Speaker 2: The truth. So she says, Isaac maybe coming over to
- 34:54Speaker 2: talk about the Kaitlin stuff, and Lydia thinks he made
- 34:56Speaker 2: the right decision because he's only twenty, but she they
- 35:00Speaker 2: can grow and then come back together.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Since Lydia, in saying that Isaac was too young to
- 35:07Speaker 1: be in this relationship with Caylin not realize that she
- 35:11Speaker 1: got married when she was twenty last year.
- 35:13Speaker 2: But now apparently her marriage is horrible and everything.
- 35:17Speaker 1: I don't think she said that, but if she's just like,
- 35:20Speaker 1: he is really young, and I think you should explore
- 35:22Speaker 1: and da da da da. Yeah girl, you got married.
- 35:24Speaker 2: I don't do what I did six months ago exactly.
- 35:28Speaker 1: So she is just like her mother.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, so she's it's the plathway. So she Kim says, well,
- 35:35Speaker 2: I'm hoping Lydia is realizing that breakups and marriage relationships
- 35:40Speaker 2: are complicated and it's not as easy as like this
- 35:44Speaker 2: is the right thing, just do it. And I think
- 35:47Speaker 2: she's saying, like, Lydia is very black and white and
- 35:50Speaker 2: she knows what's best for everyone, but she doesn't realize
- 35:52Speaker 2: there's gray areas and complications like you're married, you stay married,
- 35:58Speaker 2: And she judges Kim for it, but she doesn't understand
- 36:01Speaker 2: how miserable Kim was.
- 36:02Speaker 1: But where did Lydia learn that exactly exactly?
- 36:06Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, so Kim says to Lydia, we used to
- 36:10Speaker 2: be really close, like remember how you ran my household
- 36:13Speaker 2: and raise my children and that was so fun for me, right, So,
- 36:19Speaker 2: Lydia said, well, I felt like at times where I
- 36:21Speaker 2: would try to reach out and I was talking to
- 36:23Speaker 2: a brick wall. And Kim goes makes this horrible face
- 36:28Speaker 2: like she doesn't buy it and she's not taken accountability
- 36:32Speaker 2: for it, and just like okay, like rolling your eyes, yes, yes,
- 36:37Speaker 2: and she says, I felt like you were judging me
- 36:40Speaker 2: for where I was at in life. And then she says,
- 36:43Speaker 2: I'm sorry that what happened hurt you kids. I'm sorry
- 36:49Speaker 2: that you were hurt.
- 36:51Speaker 1: When I left the family after I've changed you to
- 36:54Speaker 1: do all these things. And then I left the family
- 36:57Speaker 1: because I wanted to have Peina cladas with Kim.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Yeah, and then she says it would have been easier
- 37:02Speaker 2: if he had been the one to leave Barry, which
- 37:07Speaker 2: is a weird thing to say. And again it feels
- 37:10Speaker 2: like she's like pitting her kid, She's pitting her kids
- 37:12Speaker 2: against her or Barry, like wanting to jews.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 37:18Speaker 2: So then Lydia gets upset and we see a flashback
- 37:21Speaker 2: to Kim with that drunk wine mom lipstick. It's like
- 37:25Speaker 2: all blurred lines on her lips, but the sharpest pencil
- 37:29Speaker 2: lines on her eyes.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Just so much under eyeliner so much.
- 37:34Speaker 2: And the lipstick is just across the face.
- 37:36Speaker 1: It's always smeared like Dernda after a bender.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Yeah, And she's telling Lydia and Mariah all cheery, I'm
- 37:44Speaker 2: dating someone, like they should be happy for her, like
- 37:48Speaker 2: these are her gal pals.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Also they knew, they all knew that it was Ken,
- 37:53Speaker 1: and they all knew that she moved out to that
- 37:56Speaker 1: apartment above the dance studio, which you could clearly tell
- 37:59Speaker 1: she never lived in because she moved directly into Ken's house.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Crazy. So she says, I'm sorry, blah blah blah. No,
- 38:08Speaker 2: she doesn't say sorry. She says, you just got out
- 38:12Speaker 2: of twenty four years of marriage. How can you jump
- 38:14Speaker 2: into a new relationship. I don't agree with that or
- 38:16Speaker 2: support that.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Yeah for Lydia for saying that.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Yes, And the producer is asking Lydia what's wrong with
- 38:23Speaker 2: her now in the present, and she's like, I don't know,
- 38:25Speaker 2: Zach will help me put it into words. And she tells, Kim,
- 38:30Speaker 2: you did what you had to do and you left.
- 38:34Speaker 2: It's always you left because of what you were going
- 38:36Speaker 2: through and there were repercussions for that, but it's something
- 38:40Speaker 2: we can all grow from.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Lydia is not but not completely taking her foot off
- 38:46Speaker 1: her neck. No, and she just wants her mother to
- 38:50Speaker 1: say exactly what she just said. What I did had
- 38:53Speaker 1: repercussions for the entire family. My choices for raising you
- 38:57Speaker 1: this way and the doing that all had Now I
- 39:00Speaker 1: want to say I'm sorry. I want to work through
- 39:04Speaker 1: it with all of you, you know what I mean? Like,
- 39:07Speaker 1: she just can't, she just can't say what I did
- 39:09Speaker 1: me my choices had a lot of effects on a
- 39:14Speaker 1: lot of people, but Kim was just can't. She can't.
- 39:15Speaker 1: It only had effects on her, No, only affected her.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Yeah, So she tells her mom that MY intention wasn't
- 39:24Speaker 2: to judge or make you feel bad, and it's hard
- 39:27Speaker 2: to hear that. That's like why my mom distanced herself
- 39:30Speaker 2: from us. And then they joke about the hair, and
- 39:32Speaker 2: then Lydia says, you know, Ken, back then, I didn't approve,
- 39:37Speaker 2: and I know you've had your ups and your down
- 39:38Speaker 2: since then, but I see that you guys are in
- 39:40Speaker 2: a healthy place now and the girls seem to be happy,
- 39:43Speaker 2: So you know, I want you to know that I'm
- 39:46Speaker 2: happy for you and if the time comes, I'll be
- 39:49Speaker 2: happy for you if you guys get married, and Kim
- 39:53Speaker 2: starts crying because she doesn't cry over her children, but
- 39:56Speaker 2: she cries when it has to do with her, and
- 39:59Speaker 2: they huck.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Kimberly, I didn't know what was happening in this scene
- 40:03Speaker 1: because Lydia's cutting her hair.
- 40:05Speaker 2: And is like, I just want to likely combing it,
- 40:09Speaker 2: just like there was. It took forever to get to
- 40:11Speaker 2: the cutting too, and.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Then she said, I you know whatever, I'll approve basically
- 40:17Speaker 1: like I'm letting you know, like I said, obvious things
- 40:19Speaker 1: for now. I was like, what is she crying? Is
- 40:22Speaker 1: she choking? Is she about to say something? Is she
- 40:25Speaker 1: gonna Vomit so weird because all of a sudden her
- 40:27Speaker 1: face is like and it was so squished up, and
- 40:30Speaker 1: it was like yeah, I was like, is she.
- 40:35Speaker 2: What?
- 40:36Speaker 1: Is she having a seizure? Do we need to call?
- 40:38Speaker 2: She approves of kk Ken, I mean, that's what's happening,
- 40:42Speaker 2: And Kim says, I hated how everything happened, and I
- 40:48Speaker 2: wanted to give you you kids a two parent household,
- 40:51Speaker 2: but I couldn't, and I hated that I left, but
- 40:54Speaker 2: I didn't feel like I had a choice, So it
- 40:56Speaker 2: means a lot that you're giving me some grace. And
- 41:01Speaker 2: Lydia says, yeah, I'm gonna that's fine. I'm gonna cut
- 41:05Speaker 2: off four inches. But she cuts off like eight inches
- 41:08Speaker 2: and it is chopped to hell in the back.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Literally, it's like kitchen scissors.
- 41:14Speaker 2: It's like a hack saw. She saw it at it
- 41:18Speaker 2: those layers. I do not know what was happening, and
- 41:21Speaker 2: it almost felt like it was reversed, like pointy in
- 41:24Speaker 2: the middle, like it wasn't this way, it was this way,
- 41:28Speaker 2: like it was terrible, and Lydia's faces, she's like, oh,
- 41:33Speaker 2: maybe I was supposed to cut it the other way,
- 41:35Speaker 2: just kind of winging it, and Kim is like getting nervous.
- 41:39Speaker 2: But then she looks at it in the mirror and
- 41:41Speaker 2: she loves it, even though it looks exactly the same,
- 41:43Speaker 2: like she.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Loves it even though it literally looks like a child
- 41:49Speaker 1: safety scissors that you take school cut it.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Yes, yes, like you cut your Barbie's hair.
- 41:54Speaker 1: And it does look a lot like Barbie's hair because
- 41:57Speaker 1: it had like that weird like thickness to the layers.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Was it yeah, Uh, huh.
- 42:02Speaker 2: So then Barry is in a Hawaiian print shirt and
- 42:05Speaker 2: Zach they go to a restaurant. The restaurant the only restaurant,
- 42:10Speaker 2: George Georgio's where everyone works, and Barry says, if I
- 42:15Speaker 2: need to talk to a guy, get a wingman, you
- 42:18Speaker 2: know the few, the proud, And I was like, you know,
- 42:21Speaker 2: none of you are enlisting. So Zach is a guy
- 42:25Speaker 2: I can go to get a friend. Why does it
- 42:28Speaker 2: always have to be someone in your family? So a
- 42:33Speaker 2: guy friend? What did you say?
- 42:35Speaker 1: He's got a friend? Is Taylor?
- 42:37Speaker 2: His friend? Taylor is the boss at the restaurant again,
- 42:41Speaker 2: the boss of the restaurant where his wife ex wife
- 42:45Speaker 2: and his daughter's work.
- 42:48Speaker 1: Yep, now somebody at the gym right away you could
- 42:54Speaker 1: tell Taylor is a gay man, right, yes, absolutely, So
- 42:58Speaker 1: he didn't have to tell us, but he did so
- 42:59Speaker 1: I was glad so we didn't have to assume. Now
- 43:02Speaker 1: what Ace had me do that you will hear on
- 43:06Speaker 1: tomorrow's episode that you will have to listen to, is
- 43:09Speaker 1: he's had me look up Taylor on Facebook. Taylor, much
- 43:17Speaker 1: like the PLAIFS, hates gay people hate yes, very into
- 43:22Speaker 1: how and she hates gay people in a joking way. Nope,
- 43:27Speaker 1: it's a sin. And he's got lots and lots of
- 43:30Speaker 1: Bible verses posted about homosexuality being a sin, and you
- 43:39Speaker 1: know all of us have sinned and can ask for
- 43:41Speaker 1: God's forgiveness. Now Taylor here tells us. I think he
- 43:44Speaker 1: says he was in a fifteen year relationship, ten year relationship, yes, yes,
- 43:48Speaker 1: with a man, so I guess he was just sending
- 43:52Speaker 1: there a long time. But now I don't know he
- 43:55Speaker 1: at age sixty he went to conversion therapy. I don't know,
- 43:58Speaker 1: but Taylor really really hates gay people.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah, that is so disappointing.
- 44:07Speaker 1: It's crazy because you think, in addition to them trying
- 44:10Speaker 1: to remake their images that they're not racist, homophobic, allegedly,
- 44:15Speaker 1: et cetera. Now they've brought in a gay friend. Yeah, totally,
- 44:20Speaker 1: and gay are token gay. And I think that then
- 44:24Speaker 1: will be a black person next season. We'll have a
- 44:27Speaker 1: black person that is like what's her name? That pretended
- 44:33Speaker 1: she was black birdally she was white. Rachel dulisl Yeah, okay,
- 44:39Speaker 1: this okay, Ace is like you know that the production.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Was so excited.
- 44:46Speaker 1: I'm shocked by I'm so excited to find a gay person, ye,
- 44:49Speaker 1: then that person had to convert back to being against
- 44:53Speaker 1: gay people. It's fascinating, Like Ace gave me the exact
- 44:57Speaker 1: and I don't all have to look Ace gaving the
- 44:59Speaker 1: EXAs Zacht Facebook where you could areas Okay, I'll tell
- 45:04Speaker 1: it to you so you can look it up for yourself.
- 45:06Speaker 1: It is Facebook dot com backslash Taylor dot Anderson three
- 45:11Speaker 1: three four eight. That is how you look him up,
- 45:16Speaker 1: and you can see it for yourself. You don't have
- 45:18Speaker 1: to follow or anything. It's all open and when you
- 45:20Speaker 1: look at it the profile picture, you think, who's this
- 45:25Speaker 1: But it's just a younger Taylor with really a bad
- 45:27Speaker 1: hairdoo and a picture of a cat. I'm going to
- 45:30Speaker 1: send it to you now just so you can look
- 45:32Speaker 1: it up later.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 45:34Speaker 1: I just wanted to I wanted to tell you all
- 45:36Speaker 1: of that before we got into this.
- 45:40Speaker 2: So they say Taylor knows everything that's going on in
- 45:44Speaker 2: the Plath family, and Taylor tells us that he was
- 45:47Speaker 2: in a relationship with a guy for fifteen years and
- 45:50Speaker 2: he normally gets judged a lot from the fundamentalist community
- 45:54Speaker 2: around there, but the Plaths haven't judged him, and they
- 45:57Speaker 2: made him who he is today.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Bye, helping him understand it. Being gay is wrong.
- 46:05Speaker 2: That's what I'm now I'm understanding.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:08Speaker 2: So Barry orders a mocktail and he tells Zach and
- 46:11Speaker 2: Taylor that he's open to dating and he wants someone
- 46:14Speaker 2: who loves the beach and the mountains, someone who has
- 46:17Speaker 2: strong faith and who wants to be active. No fatties
- 46:21Speaker 2: like Kim.
- 46:22Speaker 1: No fatty, no homos. Yeah, so Taylor offers, you say,
- 46:27Speaker 1: no fatties like Kim. Yes, okay, Okay, again, that's what
- 46:32Speaker 1: he is thinking.
- 46:34Speaker 2: That's not what I'm saying.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Date dateline is where you send your complaints.
- 46:38Speaker 2: We all fluctuate. It's totally, it's whatever size, it's fine.
- 46:43Speaker 2: But that's what I think he was implying.
- 46:45Speaker 1: So of course it is because he's all buff now exactly.
- 46:49Speaker 2: So Taylor offers up himself and Zach to be the wingman,
- 46:53Speaker 2: and Barry said that would be great because with my
- 46:55Speaker 2: sons that would be weird. So instead, I'll pick my
- 46:59Speaker 2: son in law and my ex wife's boss. Uh huh.
- 47:05Speaker 2: So the producer asked Zach if Barry has game, and
- 47:08Speaker 2: Zach's like, I have no idea, but there's a couple
- 47:10Speaker 2: generations separating us. So I'll do my best. So one game,
- 47:14Speaker 2: people have no game. Okay. So Taylor says, we're going
- 47:19Speaker 2: to find the right guy for Barry, I mean, the
- 47:21Speaker 2: right woman. Don't use that, Oh my gosh, and they're like, yeah,
- 47:25Speaker 2: take that, take again. Uh and then he slapped himself
- 47:29Speaker 2: across the face and was like, no, homo.
- 47:33Speaker 1: Ace thinks they're trying to gear us up for a
- 47:36Speaker 1: Barry is Gay plot line, and I would love as
- 47:39Speaker 1: never never, I would love that so much.
- 47:42Speaker 2: Sorry, I keep checking because my computers not plugged in
- 47:45Speaker 2: and I don't know where my charger is and I'm
- 47:47Speaker 2: at six percent. So we're powering through. It's like being
- 47:51Speaker 2: on twenty four and then I'm about to go off shit. Okay,
- 47:55Speaker 2: So Taylor wants to role play and I thought that
- 47:58Speaker 2: could be fun, and he's like like, hey, sailor like
- 48:02Speaker 2: that kind of but Barry gets very uncomfortable. And then
- 48:06Speaker 2: Taylor offers up his aunt to date Barry and says
- 48:10Speaker 2: she's age appropriate, and Barry says, oh no, in all
- 48:15Speaker 2: in due time, and it's like, you aren't getting any younger, Barry,
- 48:18Speaker 2: Do you just say you're not?
- 48:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you could just try it out with the a
- 48:22Speaker 1: why not.
- 48:23Speaker 2: Yeah, so Zach asked Barry if he's willing to approach women,
- 48:26Speaker 2: and Taylor says, we need to get you out on
- 48:28Speaker 2: the town. Maybe a restaurant other than the place where
- 48:31Speaker 2: your entire family works.
- 48:33Speaker 1: There's as to be a start in one restaurant in
- 48:35Speaker 1: a three county area.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Yeah you know, so Taylor says, how about acts throwing.
- 48:41Speaker 2: That's like a guy thing. They start talking about things
- 48:44Speaker 2: that they could do as for guys night and Barry says,
- 48:46Speaker 2: I want to do a cold plunge at a sauna.
- 48:49Speaker 2: And the producer asks what women are you going to
- 48:51Speaker 2: meet at a cold plunge sauna? And Barry says, well,
- 48:55Speaker 2: it's about being well rounded and having bonding time with
- 48:58Speaker 2: my guy friends like these fellas we were talking about dating, Barry,
- 49:03Speaker 2: what are you not guys night out?
- 49:06Speaker 1: And then you can meet a woman at at throwing
- 49:08Speaker 1: a real yeah, a real go get her Andrew Bullet.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Go on dates already but not. Then Lydia and Kim
- 49:16Speaker 2: come in and Taylor notices her haircut right away and
- 49:19Speaker 2: they all compliment her hair. No, it doesn't look that great, and.
- 49:24Speaker 1: Kack Taylor is like girl, you gotta get down to them,
- 49:27Speaker 1: down the stets. Yeah, we can fix that up.
- 49:30Speaker 2: So Zach tells us Barry comes over every Sunday for lunch.
- 49:35Speaker 2: But I haven't seen Kim reaching out just to check
- 49:38Speaker 2: on how we are. It's more like when she needs
- 49:41Speaker 2: help with something yep. In this case, she needed an haircut.
- 49:44Speaker 2: I wrote, yep, we see.
- 49:48Speaker 1: You, Zach, Zach. Zach has figured it out.
- 49:51Speaker 2: He hates Kim. It's so funny. So Lydia says, Dad,
- 49:55Speaker 2: I heard through the great friend that you're willing to
- 49:58Speaker 2: start dating, and Barry's like yeah, and Lydia kind of
- 50:01Speaker 2: gets all excited, even though she wasn't excited for Kim
- 50:03Speaker 2: to date, but she actually likes Barry, so she's happy
- 50:06Speaker 2: for him to date. And Kim says, well, the divorce
- 50:09Speaker 2: is final, so go for it. Like he needs her
- 50:13Speaker 2: permission after she moved Kkken into the farm, right and you.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Moved in with him when your divorce wasn't final. So okay, girl,
- 50:23Speaker 1: just once again, just once again.
- 50:26Speaker 2: So they're all laughing about how awkward and weird it is,
- 50:28Speaker 2: and Kim tells us, it's been five years since we separated,
- 50:32Speaker 2: so go for it again, she says, go for it.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Late methinks the lady doth protest too much. She's acting
- 50:39Speaker 2: like she's all cool and this doesn't bother her, but
- 50:42Speaker 2: she's uncomfortable, and she.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Says, I want I wonder if she thinks of a
- 50:47Speaker 1: new lady comes in his life, then that will cut
- 50:49Speaker 1: into her monthly check that she gets from Barry. There
- 50:53Speaker 1: we go, that's her concern.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Yeah, So she says, I can't imagine going that long
- 50:57Speaker 2: without dating, and the producer says, is it just the
- 51:01Speaker 2: dating that you can't imagine going that long without? Is
- 51:05Speaker 2: ethan her producer and Kim snort laughs. She goes like, oh,
- 51:15Speaker 2: like the weirdest laugh. It's again with the mouth and
- 51:19Speaker 2: the face like it's a guffaw.
- 51:21Speaker 1: And it's her face just makes all these weird what
- 51:24Speaker 1: is your face doing?
- 51:25Speaker 2: Yeah, she's not used to making those facial expressions. So
- 51:29Speaker 2: Zach says we're gonna start doing Guys Night and throwing axes,
- 51:32Speaker 2: and Kim is like, should it be concerning that we
- 51:35Speaker 2: just went from dating to Guys Night? And Barry and
- 51:39Speaker 2: Zach are like, no, we're mixing things up like guys
- 51:41Speaker 2: Night and dating night? Like got what?
- 51:46Speaker 1: And go to guys night. Maybe they can give him
- 51:48Speaker 1: some tips on dating.
- 51:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. He just wants to get out
- 51:52Speaker 2: there more so. He wants to like going out with
- 51:55Speaker 2: the guys and meet a lady. So they're making fun
- 51:57Speaker 2: of him, like you need a woman there if you're
- 51:59Speaker 2: gonna be and Zach, who hates Kim and I love it, says,
- 52:03Speaker 2: it's kind of weird that Kim needs to be a
- 52:05Speaker 2: part of this conversation. It's kind of like she wants
- 52:08Speaker 2: to know it all, like know everything that's going on,
- 52:12Speaker 2: but she doesn't need to be here for this.
- 52:15Speaker 1: And also, can she just take her drunk ass home
- 52:17Speaker 1: because I didn't agree.
- 52:19Speaker 2: To film with her Colin Uber. So Kim tells the producer,
- 52:23Speaker 2: another woman can have him.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Every time you do that, it's just her face is
- 52:33Speaker 1: so like screwed up and strange.
- 52:35Speaker 2: It's violent laughter. Yes, yes, it is.
- 52:38Speaker 1: Like violent laughing.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Oh my god. So next time, the mechanic guy Russell,
- 52:44Speaker 2: who works with Ethan or who loves Ethan, says I've
- 52:47Speaker 2: offered you the business, and Ethan says, no, I want
- 52:51Speaker 2: Teak and Michael Tea back. So that's where my heart is.
- 52:55Speaker 2: So then Ken and Barry have an awkward conversation about
- 53:00Speaker 2: Barry starting to date, and Ken says, you've got to
- 53:05Speaker 2: He's into it and he needs subtitles. It literally has subtitles.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Gotta ease into it.
- 53:12Speaker 1: He just says, gotta ease into it, like when I
- 53:15Speaker 1: eased right into your house, into your wife's vagina.
- 53:20Speaker 2: And Barry's like, this is kind of awkward, Like should
- 53:24Speaker 2: I ask him for advice like how to date? Because
- 53:27Speaker 2: he did pretty well with my wife. And then Isaac
- 53:31Speaker 2: tells Kim that he's going to try to get Caylen back,
- 53:34Speaker 2: and they are taking a walk through.
- 53:35Speaker 1: The woods, Isaac and Kim or Isaac and Kaylen Kim.
