- 0:20Speaker 1: That's worth two more points, two more points on what
- 0:27Speaker 1: the aggravating wikie chart? Oh is there a chart for that?
- 0:31Speaker 1: I didn't know he had a chart. I've just I've
- 0:33Speaker 1: had a day, so I'm like, there is a there
- 0:36Speaker 1: there's a drinking game. Actually, oh perfect? Can I dream totally? No?
- 0:44Speaker 2: It sounds like you have already.
- 0:47Speaker 1: No I haven't yet. But what is going on? Everybody?
- 0:50Speaker 1: I'm the one, the only the w oh okay, you
- 0:52Speaker 1: joined here by my normal cast of misfits. We got
- 0:56Speaker 1: the drazz Corps of the drazz cor Drazz Corps. Hey,
- 1:01Speaker 1: that's me. I just took a big bit of food. Sorry. Well, well,
- 1:04Speaker 1: here we go. We have the PhD of key Forge,
- 1:07Speaker 1: Doctor m sheep Well and the Ewokyist of Ewoks Ewok Junior.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Hello, key Forge community, glad to be presenting this top
- 1:21Speaker 2: notch podcast that you really are focused on and excited
- 1:25Speaker 2: to be here for. We go out of our way
- 1:28Speaker 2: to provide you with the best content possible.
- 1:34Speaker 1: That's right, I am excited about this topic.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Actually, yeah, we're good. We're good boys. Let's do it.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Keyborge with Friends and Family.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Key Forging with Family, Keith Forge number three. I ain't
- 1:52Speaker 1: got friends, I got family. I don't know. Insert random,
- 1:58Speaker 1: fast and furious text about family here. All right, we
- 2:01Speaker 1: got erotica's today. You guys all excited for erotas and
- 2:08Speaker 1: or is it adjustments das? That's that's Sheep's favorite erotica
- 2:13Speaker 1: or adjustments I heard Sheep likes adjustments.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Yeah, minor adjustments or major adjustments, all.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Of them, of them, all of them, all the adjustments.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Anyone that will help with adjustment.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Take any adjustment. I can get any adjustment that I
- 2:37Speaker 1: can get my hands on, or I may do myself
- 2:40Speaker 1: really up. It's really kid or miss here.
- 2:43Speaker 2: After last week, I learned that Portland is your area
- 2:46Speaker 2: to go, So just head to Portland.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Head to Portland. That's the strip club capital of the world,
- 2:52Speaker 1: not the adjustment capital of the world. Oh, I'm sorry,
- 2:56Speaker 1: I don't know. I would assume Vegas would be the
- 2:58Speaker 1: place to go for that. It's legal there. Not in Vegas,
- 3:03Speaker 1: but like Nevada, the out the outside of the outlying areas,
- 3:07Speaker 1: the outskirts, the outskirts, I mean, you can't. You can't
- 3:10Speaker 1: do it legally in Vague legally in Vegas, you can do.
- 3:15Speaker 2: About foreign countries. Can we talk about foreign countries. Is that.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Well, we've you know, there are a few key forged
- 3:20Speaker 1: players out there that have done such a thing in
- 3:22Speaker 1: foreign countries and have found out that it is legal
- 3:25Speaker 1: there as well.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Learning a whole lots tonight. Yeah, once again I did
- 3:31Speaker 2: not need to know.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, you know, we don't need to name names,
- 3:34Speaker 1: but I mean here we are, there are Yeah, they'll
- 3:40Speaker 1: actually they'll they'll tell you all about it. So let's
- 3:45Speaker 1: get into the Master rulebook updates. It looks like trade
- 3:49Speaker 1: Blows and Science Officer King can't have been updated to
- 3:52Speaker 1: clarify their wording. Did anybody look at these I didn't
- 3:57Speaker 1: look at those two. It just as they.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Fire at the same timing window, and you do one
- 4:03Speaker 3: before the other.
- 4:04Speaker 1: So I mean that the active player chooses the order
- 4:10Speaker 1: in which that they happen.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Yeah, because there is the so well King Can it
- 4:16Speaker 3: talks about King can and tech technovore pulpit. Okay, this
- 4:22Speaker 3: King Can ruling and it basically tech pulpit could kill
- 4:26Speaker 3: the artifacts then making king cantability trigger.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I have no idea why this was worthy of a clearly.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Clearly it came up at some point and somebody had
- 4:43Speaker 1: to rule on it. So they're like, oh, we should
- 4:46Speaker 1: well this.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Is this is as useful as the trade blows ruling
- 4:50Speaker 3: in my opinion, Like, okay, some minor clarification on words,
- 4:54Speaker 3: because the original wording was a little weak, like most
- 5:00Speaker 3: aren't very strong care about trade blows.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Obviously somewhere someone did, otherwise we wouldn't be clarifying. Yeah,
- 5:11Speaker 1: it's a two on the.
- 5:14Speaker 3: The who's played a deck with Kim Can in it?
- 5:16Speaker 2: Anyways, I think it's being downgraded to a one right now,
- 5:20Speaker 2: just based on this topic alone. Boys.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Again, clearly something happened somewhere to make someone need to
- 5:26Speaker 1: clarify this.
- 5:29Speaker 2: So so Science Officer King can three or four should
- 5:32Speaker 2: read elusive. After a player chooses an active house, if
- 5:37Speaker 2: there are no cards in play of the active house,
- 5:40Speaker 2: steal one.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I used to say, after a player chooses an active
- 5:46Speaker 3: house which matches no cards in play, steal one.
- 5:54Speaker 1: So what did this wording now achieve.
- 6:00Speaker 2: If there are no cards in play of the active house.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Did they not define matching somewhere in the rules and
- 6:07Speaker 3: somebody's like matches could be matches.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Or yards of shards of design? What's the name of
- 6:17Speaker 1: the next set? After d m oh shards of reality,
- 6:22Speaker 1: shards of reality matching mechanic. Oh like that guy where
- 6:29Speaker 1: you put the puzzle pieces on the ground and you
- 6:31Speaker 1: got to find the two that match together. That's how
- 6:33Speaker 1: you that's guessing memory forge, like where's the devils? Yeah? Yeah,
- 6:49Speaker 1: or it will trigger it will trigger some weird reality card, right,
- 6:55Speaker 1: which definitely won't.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Wait wait wait boys, are we going to be playing
- 6:59Speaker 2: instead of of prophecies? Are we going to be playing memory?
- 7:02Speaker 2: To start?
- 7:03Speaker 1: Yes?
- 7:03Speaker 2: The round?
- 7:04Speaker 1: Yes, okay, you heard it here.
- 7:06Speaker 2: First, folks were a game within a game.
- 7:08Speaker 1: To determine who goes first. You got to play a
- 7:10Speaker 1: game of memory. That would be hilarious if you're like,
- 7:13Speaker 1: all right, I don't want to roll dice, but I
- 7:15Speaker 1: have this game of memory, all right, so whoever wins
- 7:19Speaker 1: gets to go first?
- 7:22Speaker 4: I mean we I don't think we've had a memory mechanics.
- 7:26Speaker 1: We used to.
- 7:27Speaker 3: We had lots of memory mechanics. We had that stupid
- 7:29Speaker 3: kee Eat and fish.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh yes, there's that.
- 7:35Speaker 4: I was even just thinking about when you had two
- 7:37Speaker 4: minutes to look at the ark on card.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yeah, Like, this game does not need more things that
- 7:41Speaker 1: make it harder to play? Hungover? No, No, it's not,
- 7:45Speaker 1: it's not. It's just a major disadvantage. We already quit tried,
- 7:53Speaker 1: don't take away our edge. Our whole vision is just
- 7:59Speaker 1: to get reap out drugs. And then maybe we're like,
- 8:01Speaker 1: we feel like we do hangovers better than that, so
- 8:04Speaker 1: we're better. We are we do do that hangovers better.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I mean, sorry, already there, we do hangovers better. Yeah,
- 8:14Speaker 1: all right, so obviously the adjustment aradas will be on
- 8:17Speaker 1: ask again later. Atrocity and cosmic recompense. New glossary terms
- 8:23Speaker 1: have been added for entrenched and overwhelmed obviously upcoming for
- 8:26Speaker 1: the next set.
- 8:26Speaker 2: All right, did you want to did you want the
- 8:30Speaker 2: new terminology for trade blows? I did have that as well. Sure, right,
- 8:35Speaker 2: I should read play deal one damage to a friendly
- 8:38Speaker 2: creature and one damage to an enemy creature period. If
- 8:43Speaker 2: that enemy creature is not destroyed, Comma, you may repeat
- 8:48Speaker 2: this effect.
- 8:51Speaker 1: And we needed this change because.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Oh we didn't and we spent as there was.
- 8:56Speaker 3: A thing that said you only get to repeat it
- 8:59Speaker 3: if the damage is done, and the technical reading on
- 9:04Speaker 3: armor is armor prevents the damage from being done. Yeah,
- 9:10Speaker 3: uh so then you couldn't prevent after armor ward or stuff.
- 9:14Speaker 1: And that was just clearly not the intent of the card.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Mm hmmm, but yeah, it's not. It's not at are
- 9:24Speaker 1: different things and it's.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Not a big metal arc on issue.
- 9:28Speaker 1: But clearly it was somewhere because somebody had a question.
- 9:35Speaker 2: It was often that little adaptive corner.
- 9:37Speaker 1: That's where it usually is. Let's be honest, all all weird.
- 9:45Speaker 1: It is a card.
- 9:48Speaker 2: It's it's a card that's there so in the house with.
- 9:51Speaker 3: All the armor, and then it didn't work well with
- 9:54Speaker 3: its own cards.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree, it clear, it clears things up, it
- 10:00Speaker 2: makes it how I believe it should have been.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Again, I am still of the belief that nobody would
- 10:08Speaker 1: ever say anything about these things unless this actually comes
- 10:12Speaker 1: up and somebody in this show on a previous time,
- 10:17Speaker 1: what are you saying that.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Too?
- 10:21Speaker 1: Are you saying, gig listens to the show, steals our
- 10:25Speaker 1: ideas and now you know, make sure we're not breaking rules.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Quid trying to make yourself feel better.
- 10:34Speaker 1: And I didn't say any I wouldn't listen. I believe
- 10:36Speaker 1: doctor Sheep didn't do it, just saying all right, So
- 10:46Speaker 1: twenty twenty five, they did a thing, they identified some cards,
- 10:50Speaker 1: and now they made some changes. Does that about sum
- 10:52Speaker 1: up that tiny little paragraph without me reading it. Yay, Oh,
- 10:58Speaker 1: I do like this last sentences changed focused on those
- 11:00Speaker 1: cards remaining as valuable assets of the deck in which
- 11:04Speaker 1: they appear, but reducing the negative play experience of the opponent. Well,
- 11:10Speaker 1: so that is actually.
- 11:13Speaker 3: About his negative play experience from this week.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Where I was I couldn't play anything. I couldn't I
- 11:21Speaker 1: could not do fucking anything. So I just fucking said
- 11:23Speaker 1: I don't play.
- 11:25Speaker 5: He was grumping, just sit and moaning about getting getting
- 11:30Speaker 5: just like he just got Star Alliance effects crushed. Yeah,
- 11:35Speaker 5: and he was and he was just she was all
- 11:39Speaker 5: salty about it, and we're like, but this is what
- 11:41Speaker 5: you're always talking about, what you want.
- 11:43Speaker 1: And then he was like, we're doing.
- 11:46Speaker 2: It, Yeah, exactly doing it.
- 11:50Speaker 1: That's right. Allowed to play that ship against me. Get
- 11:54Speaker 1: that out of here. It's only when I am playing
- 11:56Speaker 1: against sheep and I make him grumpy? Am I happy? Wow?
- 12:00Speaker 2: Okay, well that's easy enough, particular target m h. Just
- 12:05Speaker 2: slow down half a second and he'll have a heart
- 12:07Speaker 2: attack over there.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Slow down half a second. You took thirty minutes to
- 12:13Speaker 1: take your turn, and I even told you, I'm like,
- 12:15Speaker 1: can you capture two amber and make one and you're
- 12:17Speaker 1: like yeah, and then you still proceeded to play the
- 12:21Speaker 1: whole turn, and I'm like, all right, we're gone.
- 12:25Speaker 2: No, you you did not concede. I won, but you
- 12:29Speaker 2: could have.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You could have skipped. You could have skipped like seven
- 12:33Speaker 1: cards and four actions to do your whole thing.
- 12:39Speaker 2: All experience this, this is this is a time out,
- 12:43Speaker 2: and I have to pay.
- 12:44Speaker 1: We can all sat or like what happened here?
- 12:47Speaker 2: Yes, you pay extra because we're gonna sit and wait
- 12:50Speaker 2: and watch for the other friends to be able to finish.
- 12:52Speaker 1: They weren't done. And I'm like and I'm like, can
- 13:00Speaker 1: you capture two and make one because I don't have
- 13:02Speaker 1: any umber control in my hand? And you're like yes,
- 13:04Speaker 1: and I'm like all right, cool. And then like you
- 13:07Speaker 1: played one and you captured one, and I'm like all right,
- 13:09Speaker 1: and then you like played four other cards, did some
- 13:12Speaker 1: actions that had no consequence on what was going on,
- 13:15Speaker 1: and then played a card with emberon and then captured
- 13:18Speaker 1: like two more and I'm like, all right, I don't
- 13:19Speaker 1: know why you did the middle steps, but here we are.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Because did you think? I was like, was that like
- 13:28Speaker 2: those cards that I had to play were the creatures?
- 13:30Speaker 2: Which allowed me then to capture onto them.
- 13:33Speaker 1: You didn't need four, you literally needed two.
- 13:38Speaker 3: He was practicing in case it wouldn't matter in a future.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Gay.
- 13:44Speaker 3: You know, he's actually trying to be good, and we
- 13:46Speaker 3: resent him for this.
- 13:47Speaker 2: No, I mean everyone else is just trying to get
- 13:50Speaker 2: drunk and you know, play hungover. I will see how that.
- 13:53Speaker 1: That's the best key Forge is drunk hungover key Forge.
- 13:59Speaker 1: That's what I'm at my happiest.
- 14:01Speaker 4: I think you walk clearly did not learn from our
- 14:06Speaker 4: former cast member, our former cast member.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Big z Right. He would always give advice that conceding
- 14:15Speaker 1: is always an option. It is I was clicking the
- 14:19Speaker 1: top one had button made mm hmmm mm hmm.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, you would miss out valuable time, and I
- 14:30Speaker 2: just I wouldn't know what to do. I've been missing
- 14:33Speaker 2: you so much, Wookie that I don't you before and
- 14:39Speaker 2: it's so long.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I took I took a week off because it
- 14:44Speaker 1: was my birthday and I was I was told by
- 14:46Speaker 1: my family I wasn't allowed to go anywhere, and I
- 14:48Speaker 1: was like, oh really, what did you do for your birthday?
- 14:51Speaker 1: We just went out to dinner. I was like, okay,
- 14:54Speaker 1: are you sure.
- 14:55Speaker 3: You want a house where you're also not going to
- 14:57Speaker 3: be the boss.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Where did you go for dinner?
- 15:02Speaker 1: Where do we go? Chili's, Chili's. I'm a pretty basics.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I was just like, what's what's not prammed at right now?
- 15:14Speaker 1: And that's where we I mean Chili's When I was,
- 15:17Speaker 1: when I was a young Chili's was my favorite of those,
- 15:20Speaker 1: you know, Chili's, TGI Friday's, Applebee's class of restaurants, Chilis
- 15:27Speaker 1: was my favorite. Well, now Applebee's, Applebee's, and I Hop.
- 15:34Speaker 1: So now you can get really yeah, yeah, they've they're
- 15:37Speaker 1: they're all under one restaurant.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Now it's I Got Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, It's it's Applebee's,
- 15:43Speaker 4: I Hop.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it's Applebee's I Hop.
- 15:47Speaker 3: It's different all over the place with them now.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Yeah, because they are probably struggling financially, is what my
- 15:55Speaker 1: guess would be. So they're like, we'll just do it
- 15:57Speaker 1: this way. Yeah. No, you can get apple you can
- 16:00Speaker 1: get I Hop favorites if those are exist at Applebee's,
- 16:06Speaker 1: except there's only one flavor of syrup on the table.
- 16:09Speaker 1: It's a little upsetting. I missed the middle days of
- 16:13Speaker 1: I Hop, where there was like four different flavors of syrup.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I hop never had a good day. Yeah no, I
- 16:23Speaker 1: can't either. It's because they don't exist. They all went
- 16:27Speaker 1: in with Applebee's.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Fairly certain we still have an ie hop here and
- 16:35Speaker 3: racine really okay?
- 16:39Speaker 1: Yes? Are they now also an Applebee's not having Applebee's, Well,
- 16:44Speaker 1: you ain't missing it.
- 16:45Speaker 4: See locations, I hop how close is the Oh gosh,
- 16:49Speaker 4: it's far from me. There's one Redding that's real far.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Yeah, right eighty d friends, Let's return back to keyboards.
- 17:06Speaker 1: We've seen my bike is the first card up in
- 17:11Speaker 1: alphabetical order. I suppose asking later now reads at the
- 17:17Speaker 1: start of your opponent's turn, they must name a house
- 17:20Speaker 1: on the identity card. Reveal the top card of your deck.
- 17:23Speaker 1: If the card does not match the named house, fulfill
- 17:28Speaker 1: ask again later. The original card text could lock a
- 17:32Speaker 1: player into a house choice before the associating fate triggered.
- 17:36Speaker 1: This created a resolution window that could result in repeated
- 17:40Speaker 1: terms of constraining effects. The challenge change allows a player
- 17:44Speaker 1: to pivot after a fate lands, offering them more choice
- 17:48Speaker 1: and how to react to damaging circumstances. That is very true.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Write the worst the worst of the ask again later.
- 18:03Speaker 1: The worst card ever designed, right, was that you would
- 18:09Speaker 1: choose your house and then it would just be like,
- 18:11Speaker 1: and actually you can do nothing because you would get
- 18:14Speaker 1: your hand discarded by rageery set, or you would not
- 18:22Speaker 1: be able to play those you know four creatures you
- 18:26Speaker 1: have because of strategic fate, or you would be like, no,
- 18:33Speaker 1: actually I now have to play this other house I
- 18:36Speaker 1: have no cards of because of leaving the cube. Right,
- 18:38Speaker 1: those were the.
- 18:41Speaker 4: The worst ones where you just felt like you couldn't
- 18:45Speaker 4: do anything. So from a objective standpoint and.
- 18:50Speaker 1: From an attempt to remove those I think those things, right,
- 18:58Speaker 1: this does change. This does modify.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Right, You now have to you know, you discard your
- 19:05Speaker 4: hand half your hand before you pick your house, and
- 19:08Speaker 4: maybe you can still do something or.
- 19:11Speaker 1: You know, so, so it gives you more options, but.
- 19:17Speaker 4: It I'm not a harm so I'm sure it's actually
- 19:20Speaker 4: working like they fully thought this through.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Just like.
- 19:25Speaker 2: The answer on that is no. Yeah, the cognitive load
- 19:29Speaker 2: is still there because you either are going to count
- 19:32Speaker 2: cards or you're not, or it's going to be consistent
- 19:35Speaker 2: and you're going to be doing it every turn. So
- 19:36Speaker 2: it's not it's not speeding it up, but it has
- 19:39Speaker 2: bigger issues based on the timing window that it's now
- 19:42Speaker 2: put it at.
- 19:45Speaker 3: I mean it makes a significant impact in a lot
- 19:51Speaker 3: of stuff that I have played against because that timing
- 19:55Speaker 3: window change and the cards that Jazz covered and being
- 19:59Speaker 3: able to choose afterwards you can stick with douse you
- 20:02Speaker 3: have the board with, or still do best in hand
- 20:06Speaker 3: after getting kicked in the teeth like that. I think
- 20:10Speaker 3: that's that's there. But you're right, it didn't get rid
- 20:13Speaker 3: of the shitty tax, which is still my least favorite
- 20:16Speaker 3: thing in KeyForge.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I think what it's done is it's changed
- 20:20Speaker 2: the problem. So I think it is a definite improvement.
- 20:23Speaker 2: So I want that well known and well stated. I
- 20:26Speaker 2: think this is you have some issues in regards to
- 20:34Speaker 2: the timing window, and you've given quite a bit of
- 20:37Speaker 2: power to a different set of cards.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Different set of cards, meaning just improved all the steel cards.
- 20:49Speaker 2: They yes, the steel cards. At the end of the
- 20:52Speaker 2: turn you also have you can actually be at two key.
- 20:55Speaker 2: You can be at two keys and uh six Amber,
- 20:59Speaker 2: I can't stop you, and I can put Buffo under it,
- 21:01Speaker 2: and I can actually go ahead and win the game.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Yeah, except I don't I don't know if anybody competitively
- 21:06Speaker 1: is playing untamed like that. But maybe I.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Don't know how buffo timing at the start versus right
- 21:12Speaker 3: after the coll house actually makes a difference.
- 21:15Speaker 1: That does not because he's going to forge and win.
- 21:20Speaker 1: But now you sure you forged right before me? Okay, yeah, yeah,
- 21:23Speaker 1: there's no Actually I went right so good because wasn't
- 21:26Speaker 1: good enough anyways, so gained a point? Yeah, because it has.
- 21:34Speaker 2: It has changed a couple of cards, most of them
- 21:37Speaker 2: being the the steal your chummy cards things of that sort.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Those are I feel like all those cards are significantly
- 21:46Speaker 1: less problem than the three we just spoke about. I agree.
- 21:52Speaker 2: You guys didn't even go ahead and state cosmic recommends,
- 21:56Speaker 2: so yeah, no, I agree.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Yeah, well I was going to say we can go
- 21:59Speaker 1: right into cosmic compense. I'll just read it out just
- 22:03Speaker 1: so we could, because I feel like we're dancing around it.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Because recompense was changed. Recompense will now read play deal
- 22:11Speaker 1: three damage to a enemy creature if it is not destroyed,
- 22:13Speaker 1: steal a number, repeat the preceding effect, and then its
- 22:19Speaker 1: fate has been changed to you cannot play cards for
- 22:22Speaker 1: the remainder of the turn. So much was it skippy?
- 22:25Speaker 1: Time hog that did this. Ye, you can still play
- 22:29Speaker 1: the board. That's about it. You can use any discard cards,
- 22:35Speaker 1: you can use creatures, can.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Discard cards, you can use creatures, which means that your
- 22:39Speaker 2: board centric decks because are a lot more powerful versus cosmic.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Yes, right, so because we've kind of been dancing around it.
- 22:49Speaker 1: So now that's been changed as opposed to where it was.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Yeah, so cosmic recompense in to ask again later, I'm
- 23:00Speaker 4: not sure it makes a massive difference here, right, because
- 23:05Speaker 4: in either case, no matter what house you end up selecting, well,
- 23:09Speaker 4: actually well from the ask again later perspective, I guess
- 23:12Speaker 4: you're gonna it is it is less bad because you
- 23:17Speaker 4: can now select a house that you can use cards
- 23:19Speaker 4: on board. So actually that's true.
- 23:22Speaker 1: As opposed to.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Using a house that I'm playing cards and then I
- 23:28Speaker 2: have nothing to play.
- 23:30Speaker 1: And if if you're if you were going to go
- 23:32Speaker 1: into a house instead of playing board, right, and you
- 23:37Speaker 1: were going to play some cards and then you got
- 23:38Speaker 1: hit with a cosmic and you're just like, oh, yeah,
- 23:42Speaker 1: that sucks.
- 23:43Speaker 2: And I will tell you. I will tell you there
- 23:45Speaker 2: were times that I would have gone ahead and use
- 23:50Speaker 2: the board. I was trying to be able to move
- 23:52Speaker 2: through cards cosmic hits. It was unfortunate, but it is
- 23:56Speaker 2: an absolute lost turn. I think Rade said in combination
- 24:01Speaker 2: with cosmic or cosmic recompense or rage reset both caused
- 24:06Speaker 2: issues for the loss of cards or the ability to drastically.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Change with ACD again.
- 24:11Speaker 2: So I like to see the change in cosmic recondense.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I think the time. Yeah, I think the timing window
- 24:17Speaker 2: is much better here for ass again later. So not perfect,
- 24:22Speaker 2: but an easy enough change.
- 24:26Speaker 1: All right, last card, that's finally taking a hit. I'm
- 24:30Speaker 1: just going to get through this one and that we
- 24:31Speaker 1: can kind of keep moving. Atrocity taking Actually, I think
- 24:36Speaker 1: Atrocity might have taken the biggest hit out of all these,
- 24:38Speaker 1: because Cosmic is still good. Like ask again later, I
- 24:41Speaker 1: think still good, Atrocity taking a big hit. Atrocity will
- 24:48Speaker 1: now read play At the start of your opponent's turn,
- 24:51Speaker 1: that player discards the top card of their deck. They
- 24:53Speaker 1: must choose the discarded houses their active house. This turn
- 24:56Speaker 1: are this turn yep, turn still, they must choose the
- 25:02Speaker 1: discarded They must use the discarded cards house as their
- 25:07Speaker 1: active house. This turn right, So you're only getting one
- 25:11Speaker 1: playoff in Atrocity as opposed to at least three. Now
- 25:19Speaker 1: here's a question. So this is a thing for the turn, right,
- 25:25Speaker 1: So if I.
- 25:27Speaker 4: Right, if I'm playing Wookie right, so we know what
- 25:30Speaker 4: he's going to do, something like play atrocity, right, So
- 25:33Speaker 4: what Kee plays atrocity and it's like, oh, yeah, you
- 25:37Speaker 4: gotta you have to choose that card's house.
- 25:42Speaker 1: So I flip a card. It's dis right. So then
- 25:46Speaker 1: I played dad, do I still.
- 25:50Speaker 4: Have to choose this because of because already, because even
- 25:59Speaker 4: I must, I can't.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, you've already completed. You chose it as your
- 26:05Speaker 3: active house, and then that guard lets you do it again.
- 26:08Speaker 3: It's just like it's the same reason that gleaming now
- 26:11Speaker 3: is not a good card because it sets an active house.
- 26:15Speaker 3: But then you choose right afterwards with an al gleaning
- 26:20Speaker 3: the cube like gleaming the cube and ask again later
- 26:23Speaker 3: is now a completely dead combo?
- 26:26Speaker 1: Mm hmmm? Where it was? Which is?
- 26:28Speaker 3: Which is a huge kick in the junk. I mean
- 26:32Speaker 3: that was probably the one that felt elite or the
- 26:34Speaker 3: most coin flippy to me. I was like, hit else
- 26:38Speaker 3: that I can do nothing with? Or does it just
- 26:41Speaker 3: put me the house I wanted to play? Anyways, I
- 26:43Speaker 3: don't know that one. But it was also hugely devastating
- 26:47Speaker 3: because it often also resulted in turn skips. But now
- 26:51Speaker 3: it's just a completely dead thing because of the timing.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Right for that one.
- 26:57Speaker 4: I mean, certainly those other prophecies that it will still
- 27:02Speaker 4: be effective in, but that card took a huge hit
- 27:06Speaker 4: because like there were only a small number of prophecies
- 27:10Speaker 4: where that card was interesting because it's it really has
- 27:14Speaker 4: to be after you choose a house. If it's before
- 27:18Speaker 4: you choose a house, and.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Early when they choose a house, not oh, after they
- 27:23Speaker 3: play a creature and I go, okay, I play my
- 27:25Speaker 3: four actions, I reap with all my dudes, and now
- 27:27Speaker 3: I play my first creature and oh what this is
- 27:30Speaker 3: like mercurial and I'm just going to switch houses now.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Excellent, all hall. So, so the space for that card
- 27:39Speaker 1: got so much smaller. Yeah, like what does it actually
- 27:44Speaker 1: work with now?
- 27:46Speaker 3: I mean, well, let's say, so here's there's a little
- 27:50Speaker 3: bit still putting it under the rep fight thing. If
- 27:53Speaker 3: they really have a really big board, if they've gone
- 27:56Speaker 3: seven creatures wide and you can put it under reap right,
- 27:59Speaker 3: then you know it's it can still be meaningful, but
- 28:03Speaker 3: it is definitely not got that.
- 28:07Speaker 4: Let's go through one by one, so there's asking later
- 28:10Speaker 4: doesn't work anymore bad omen Nope, expect the unexpected?
- 28:16Speaker 1: Anything work with bad can't? You can't really play it there?
- 28:20Speaker 3: The the one where the two cards are, the where
- 28:25Speaker 3: you choose which house they call yep and when they
- 28:29Speaker 3: choose a house that has no cards in play. Still
- 28:31Speaker 3: works really strong on those two.
- 28:33Speaker 4: So it still works with those yep. But is there
- 28:36Speaker 4: anything else spect the unexpected can't.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Do that one.
- 28:38Speaker 4: That's shuffle okay, fate, that's your plans. We put its
- 28:40Speaker 4: adds their archive to their hand. I guess it works there.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Yep, that's good.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Not that anybody plays that one, but you could do it.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Forge Head of confidence doesn't work with that Forge a
- 28:51Speaker 4: key step not helpful. Go for with and conquer too
- 28:54Speaker 4: dangerous heads I win, play a card too dangerous after
- 28:58Speaker 4: they steal too late. You already got hit by hoodwink
- 29:01Speaker 4: right doesn't work there, have come right after they play
- 29:08Speaker 4: a cree shirt.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Nope, I looked not so good. You mentioned that one.
- 29:11Speaker 4: Okay, overage can't do that. Sign points yes, end of
- 29:13Speaker 4: turn can't do that. Stars aligned. Beginning of turn can't
- 29:16Speaker 4: do that tails you lose.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Can't do that. Cards will tell Well, this is draw
- 29:22Speaker 1: cards when.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Align stars aligne is at the start of your opponent's turn.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Yeah, so that's a bad time because it happens and
- 29:31Speaker 3: then they get to choose their.
- 29:32Speaker 2: House, right yep, yeah so but yeah, it just has.
- 29:37Speaker 4: So that's no go, right car early bird, that's end
- 29:42Speaker 4: of the turn, no go, and is nine MILLI turn
- 29:45Speaker 4: no go, second mounts ended turn no go.
- 29:47Speaker 1: You actually last no go. So trust your feelings. That's
- 29:49Speaker 1: one right, good there, wasteful get discards card from their hands, Nope,
- 29:55Speaker 1: one's in the Wisdom takes damage Nope. So there's very
- 29:57Speaker 1: few cars, very few prophecies that it actually works with,
- 30:01Speaker 1: and some of them are ones that you don't want
- 30:04Speaker 1: to play with anyway. So it's uh, it's it's it
- 30:10Speaker 1: took a huge hit, huge hit.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Well I think the action now yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 30:22Speaker 2: I thought that trust. I thought atrocity like, I actually
- 30:25Speaker 2: miss that. It doesn't pair at all with wounds in
- 30:28Speaker 2: New Wisdom, Like I know it was a small but
- 30:30Speaker 2: but Wounds and New Wisdom really took another hit from
- 30:35Speaker 2: Atrocity not being there because it was something that could
- 30:38Speaker 2: consistently trigger during your opponent's turn after a friendly creature
- 30:41Speaker 2: is dealt damage, fulfilled wounds, and wisdom.
- 30:43Speaker 1: So that just the switch that guaranty was pretty strong
- 30:49Speaker 1: new things. I don't know.
- 30:51Speaker 3: I feel like the atrocity one is the most heavy
- 30:55Speaker 3: handed on reasonable, like trouscity is a pain in the ass.
- 30:59Speaker 3: But I don't know, I just don't love I know now,
- 31:05Speaker 3: it's just it's just I don't even I don't even
- 31:10Speaker 3: know if I really want atrocity is that bad?
- 31:13Speaker 2: Now?
- 31:15Speaker 1: Yeah? It See, it's this weird thing where a lot.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Of atrocities are gonna get stuffed under a fake card
- 31:21Speaker 3: just to discard it because you're not trying to blake
- 31:23Speaker 3: dis right now, it's not going to be like I'm
- 31:25Speaker 3: playing dis I got atrocity it.
- 31:27Speaker 1: It will just get blushed every once in a while, now,
- 31:30Speaker 1: I bet, I mean it.
- 31:32Speaker 4: Is not It's still it's still good, but it's not
- 31:36Speaker 4: amazing anymore, right, and sometimes I'll just do nothing right,
- 31:42Speaker 4: But it doesn't have that triple time walk threat anymore.
- 31:45Speaker 4: So that right, that needed to be handled. But now
- 31:47Speaker 4: it's just super random, right, and the super random not
- 31:52Speaker 4: so great is like not a very good card, super random,
- 31:56Speaker 4: really powerful is just a bad design in this.
- 32:01Speaker 2: They chopped it above the knees. It needed to be,
- 32:05Speaker 2: it needed to be tweaked. What I think they were
- 32:07Speaker 2: really worried about is that there were ways to protect
- 32:11Speaker 2: your atrocity, and so when that happens, adding adding armor
- 32:18Speaker 2: to it, adding that it can't take damage just meant
- 32:22Speaker 2: that you were essentially done this with it being a
- 32:26Speaker 2: play effect gets all of those combos, all of those
- 32:30Speaker 2: issues that we're looking at, even the impact of wounds
- 32:33Speaker 2: into wisdom, those are all gone now. So this is
- 32:36Speaker 2: a really really correct correct so that this this was
- 32:42Speaker 2: a really really big shift. In my opinion, I still
- 32:45Speaker 2: would have preferred to have seen it more of something
- 32:47Speaker 2: along the lines of control of the week. Even hitting
- 32:51Speaker 2: two thirds of the time I think is an appropriate spot.
- 32:54Speaker 2: But the repeated ability, it didn't need to be three times,
- 32:58Speaker 2: going in twice or The problem is is that sorryen
- 33:03Speaker 2: is there to provide that you can provide armor and
- 33:07Speaker 2: you can provide warding to it. So there were some
- 33:09Speaker 2: actually little neat ways to be able to cycle it here.
- 33:12Speaker 2: There is logos to be able to cycle atrocity back
- 33:15Speaker 2: and the on tame that you guys were talking about
- 33:17Speaker 2: earlier that people don't want to see it can bring
- 33:20Speaker 2: it back. But I definitely think atrocity took a massive
- 33:23Speaker 2: hit in this update.
- 33:26Speaker 1: For sure. For sure, were there any cards? You're disappointed
- 33:30Speaker 1: we're not here? So this was my next question. Yeah,
- 33:35Speaker 1: surprise about which one could that be? I'm waiting. I mean,
- 33:39Speaker 1: I can't believe they won't just admit that they got
- 33:42Speaker 1: Trink's Creed wrong. You want to know why trinks Creed
- 33:46Speaker 1: did not hit this list, and I'll guarantee it because
- 33:49Speaker 1: sanctum doesn't matter. But sanctum doesn't matter, like it did
- 33:53Speaker 1: not play an effective enough role in our Connor alliance
- 33:58Speaker 1: to become a problem.
- 34:00Speaker 2: So if there's a problem, but it wasn't, it wasn't sealed.
- 34:04Speaker 1: And that's what we was. We didn't one time, one
- 34:10Speaker 1: time out of five vaults you saw one time, I guess, well, no, no, no,
- 34:15Speaker 1: I didn't have I was just about to say that
- 34:19Speaker 1: what three vaults had PV well T and UH and
- 34:24Speaker 1: a U KFC.
- 34:26Speaker 2: So KFC for the open My deck had it, which
- 34:29Speaker 2: finished second, The top winning deck had it. It was
- 34:32Speaker 2: a Trenks on Trenks match. That was what was there,
- 34:35Speaker 2: and it came down to Yeah, and it came down
- 34:37Speaker 2: to being able to get hit or discarded, which again
- 34:41Speaker 2: is the random TV that can happen with Ragery said
- 34:45Speaker 2: and other cards. You also saw it at Vegas, which
- 34:50Speaker 2: was impacted. No, I disagree completely that this is not
- 34:54Speaker 2: an issue. I think Trenk's creed it just does what
- 34:59Speaker 2: we've seen in the game significantly better. I don't mind
- 35:02Speaker 2: if I'm taking Amber and I have a combo which
- 35:06Speaker 2: requires multiple cards, there's at least some setup for that,
- 35:09Speaker 2: but just the ability to take I'm at six Amber
- 35:13Speaker 2: and you can take all of it and put it
- 35:15Speaker 2: on my creature, which then magically comes to you. And
- 35:19Speaker 2: it's not even on that turn Like now it's a
- 35:22Speaker 2: big giant pinata and there's very little that you can
- 35:25Speaker 2: do in order to take that Amber back. That's an
- 35:29Speaker 2: absolutely massive swing from going up a full key to No.
- 35:34Speaker 2: I disagree. I think Trenk's was a major le.
- 35:36Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so weird because it's such an easy errata
- 35:39Speaker 4: fix too, Like some new players probably won't even realize
- 35:45Speaker 4: that it needed the rata because they just assume that
- 35:48Speaker 4: it works that way, right, Like, there's no way this
- 35:51Speaker 4: card's this good. Yeah, it is the way it works
- 35:54Speaker 4: like that, right, everything else that does stuff like this
- 35:57Speaker 4: as friendly, so like it was such an easy one,
- 35:59Speaker 4: whereas like.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Ask again later, I mean, I still do not like
- 36:04Speaker 1: the design of the card, right, And I.
- 36:06Speaker 4: Feel like they got into the situation where they were like, well,
- 36:09Speaker 4: if we don't have a flip off the top of
- 36:11Speaker 4: the deck, like then the card is absolutely different. And
- 36:15Speaker 4: the flip off the top of the deck is the
- 36:16Speaker 4: problem with the ask again later, Right, it's the plus
- 36:21Speaker 4: the fact that well, because the fates are good, right,
- 36:23Speaker 4: and then you flip the top of the deck, so
- 36:25Speaker 4: it's random. But but you had to fix like this
- 36:29Speaker 4: was so easy. I don't understand why they didn't just
- 36:32Speaker 4: do that. Even if it doesn't matter in our con,
- 36:36Speaker 4: it definitely matters. It's sealed, so big big mess.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Well okay, so I understand it definitely matters and sealed,
- 36:42Speaker 1: But I don't think we're going to be playing PV
- 36:45Speaker 1: and sealed anymore, considering number one ain't no product out there,
- 36:50Speaker 1: and number two just like, well shrug and give up. Well,
- 36:55Speaker 1: I mean Eric put it in the chat. I mean,
- 36:58Speaker 1: Luke just doesn't want to admit it. It happens.
- 37:02Speaker 4: I mean, but like I don't know, it's a card game.
- 37:06Speaker 4: It's fine, things happen, just change it.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think the reason that it's not showing
- 37:12Speaker 2: up Wookie is just because of how powerful Traumatic Echo
- 37:17Speaker 2: and other cards that limit an action being played or
- 37:20Speaker 2: cards being played has and dis is just a better choice.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Now with Atrocity being hit, it goes down a peg.
- 37:30Speaker 2: But I still think that it is significantly higher and
- 37:35Speaker 2: a better choice than the Sanctum. But if you see Sanctum,
- 37:39Speaker 2: you're en sealed or an ARCon. You know what you're
- 37:43Speaker 2: looking for.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Well, right, But again, how many times are you going
- 37:46Speaker 1: to be playing Sanctum and sealed prophetic visions, even going
- 37:51Speaker 1: into even.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Putting even putting in an ARCon. There's there are there's limit,
- 37:59Speaker 2: there's limited choices that you can go ahead and play.
- 38:02Speaker 2: It has a drastic impact in the game. Now, can
- 38:04Speaker 2: you play around that? Yes? And I think that's the
- 38:07Speaker 2: discrepancy is that if we look at if we look
- 38:11Speaker 2: at some of the cards that were actually changed, specifically
- 38:14Speaker 2: specifically the prophecies, you can't play around them. Where here
- 38:19Speaker 2: if TRNKS is in your deck, just like TMTP, I
- 38:23Speaker 2: can choose, and I can have some strategic thought as
- 38:26Speaker 2: to what I'm going to play, what I'm going to
- 38:28Speaker 2: go to to get to check how I can get
- 38:31Speaker 2: around that tranks. If it's there, you have to have
- 38:34Speaker 2: a different game plan, so I at least appreciate that
- 38:37Speaker 2: there's some strategy behind it.
- 38:42Speaker 1: That was the one I don't know that I appreciate
- 38:43Speaker 1: very much about tranks.
- 38:45Speaker 3: But you now, so I'm I'm looking at other stuff
- 38:50Speaker 3: because I'm easily distracted. I'm looking at the Ghost Galaxies
- 38:54Speaker 3: website right now, and Prophetic Visions has a little banner
- 39:01Speaker 3: below it that, like very few other products except a
- 39:04Speaker 3: few play mats have, which says notify me when available,
- 39:09Speaker 3: and you click, you put in your store's phone number
- 39:13Speaker 3: and get notified when it comes back in stock.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Now, like, you can't do that for woe. You can't
- 39:22Speaker 1: do that for.
- 39:24Speaker 3: Anything else. Just that and some of the extra wide
- 39:29Speaker 3: plate play mats.
- 39:30Speaker 4: Well you know why because when sleepy the dragons get
- 39:36Speaker 4: super sleepy, and everybody's like I need something stronger.
- 39:39Speaker 1: They think they're going to go back to the PV
- 39:42Speaker 1: spelling PD. Sure. Now, I mean that's the thing.
- 39:46Speaker 3: If enough stores that they want to buy boxes. Yeah,
- 39:49Speaker 3: it's probably worth running another part.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Because I could print more. So it's actually like it
- 39:52Speaker 1: is a good move for them. Yeah.
- 39:56Speaker 3: The whole thing with keyboarde being sold out seems ridiculous
- 40:01Speaker 3: to me now because we know we understand the way
- 40:05Speaker 3: the algorithm works, or at least we think we do,
- 40:07Speaker 3: and uh print printish on demand. So it's really just
- 40:11Speaker 3: the packaging material that is a thing. You know, they
- 40:15Speaker 3: got to have more fun the ramp.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Yeah, the time of the printer, right if if they're
- 40:20Speaker 1: printing a whole bunch of or to going to sell, sure,
- 40:25Speaker 1: sure if they know if they've got a pre order,
- 40:27Speaker 1: then absolutely. I was actually the first thinking, is it
- 40:30Speaker 1: just because well has too many line items in it?
- 40:34Speaker 1: Because it actually takes up three lines. That's why you
- 40:37Speaker 1: don't see the no one to find me. But it's
- 40:38Speaker 1: not or they just forgot to put that checkbox, like,
- 40:44Speaker 1: you know, they're like, let's be honest, let's be honest,
- 40:47Speaker 1: nobody's gonna want Well, so let's just most stores still
- 40:52Speaker 1: have its in on the shelf.
- 40:54Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a lot of woe in the system. And
- 40:57Speaker 4: you can still buy Amber Skies, which has been great.
- 41:00Speaker 4: My store just bought a whole bunch more amber Skies,
- 41:03Speaker 4: which I'm excited about.
- 41:04Speaker 2: I disagree it has not been great, what, guys has
- 41:10Speaker 2: been fine amber Sky's amber Skuys can be fun at times,
- 41:14Speaker 2: but man, there's some It's also produces some real rough decks.
- 41:20Speaker 1: So oh yeah, but through every set, I can't disagree
- 41:24Speaker 1: with you.
- 41:25Speaker 2: I have been feeling the pain more recently, so.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Guys, I had a major achievement playing amber Skies at
- 41:32Speaker 4: the store tonight. I was playing amber Skies. I had
- 41:39Speaker 4: Robnar and I successfully put a Khaliafi Dragon into play.
- 41:46Speaker 2: That's always fun.
- 41:47Speaker 1: It was, actually it.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Was actually it was actually almost especially astounding because I
- 41:56Speaker 4: was one ember away. I got to six ember and
- 41:58Speaker 4: I needed to play my I needed to play a
- 42:02Speaker 4: creature to be able to play.
- 42:06Speaker 1: To raise your.
- 42:07Speaker 4: Glass so I could like get the ember so that
- 42:11Speaker 4: I could play the leafy Dragon. I had an empty board.
- 42:14Speaker 4: I almost I had one more ember.
- 42:15Speaker 1: I could have played the Khaleafy Dragon then played your
- 42:18Speaker 1: raise your glass and use it and fight and get
- 42:21Speaker 1: an ember a deal five damage, which I've never done before,
- 42:25Speaker 1: and uh I was.
- 42:26Speaker 4: I was all excited. I played him out. I didn't
- 42:30Speaker 4: get to you know, I'd use a different creature to
- 42:31Speaker 4: get the ember. But then I played on my Kalevi dragon.
- 42:34Speaker 4: I didn't like, captured an amber onto him and then
- 42:39Speaker 4: fun kick a bling hates fun, and he just well,
- 42:42Speaker 4: we were playing ambers, guys, so he played. Now he
- 42:47Speaker 4: just played the the what was it all hands on
- 42:49Speaker 4: deck and just killed it and I was like, man,
- 42:52Speaker 4: you know, have fun?
- 42:54Speaker 2: Well she fun. Sheep's fun was to play a triple
- 42:57Speaker 2: in here Somewhere this week, and that was y.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Uh. So my I also played amber skies.
- 43:06Speaker 3: My deck had functional logos and functional geystoids and super
- 43:14Speaker 3: bad something Oh it's moderately to super Bad Skimmity right,
- 43:20Speaker 3: three safe ports was all the skip Skimbity board. It
- 43:27Speaker 3: was awesome, but my I had almost no creature control.
- 43:32Speaker 3: So my crappy loop I had to play was in
- 43:35Speaker 3: here somewhares with what's the card that you capture for
- 43:40Speaker 3: every geystoid card in your discard? Whatever it is, veil yep.
- 43:47Speaker 3: So I'd veil and capture all of their amber, and
- 43:50Speaker 3: then what's my other card because I'm half asleep today,
- 43:54Speaker 3: the one where you capture amber and then do damage for.
- 43:58Speaker 2: All that energy in prison.
- 44:04Speaker 3: Energy vampism, So I had to capture all of somebody's
- 44:09Speaker 3: Amber onto one of my creatures, then id Energy Vampires
- 44:12Speaker 3: and one of my own Amber onto that creature, so
- 44:15Speaker 3: I could do six or seven damage because that was it.
- 44:19Speaker 3: That's the only way I could get any c and
- 44:21Speaker 3: then I would just in here somewhere, in here somewhere.
- 44:24Speaker 3: One of the in here Summers had to drop Pip,
- 44:26Speaker 3: and the Energy vampiresm had to drop Pip. So it
- 44:28Speaker 3: was actually pushing game state forward too, so it was
- 44:31Speaker 3: actually working. And then it works really well. When your
- 44:34Speaker 3: opponent forge is your yellow key into your triple safe
- 44:37Speaker 3: port deck.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so Amber Pip on that safe port and then play.
- 44:42Speaker 2: If your yellow key is forged, a friendly teacher captures two.
- 44:46Speaker 2: If your opponent's yellow key is forged, steal one. So
- 44:49Speaker 2: with three of them that was that was nice. Yeah,
- 44:53Speaker 2: he got to capture six Amber, make three Amber, and
- 44:57Speaker 2: steal three nobody.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Yeah, he should have won that game, but he punted
- 45:03Speaker 3: because he forged yellow Ki because he keeps complaining about
- 45:05Speaker 3: Amber Squad and every week he opens Broken Mars every week.
- 45:12Speaker 4: I know how to play, and there's like tons of
- 45:18Speaker 4: like weird stuff in Amber Sky's for seal.
- 45:22Speaker 1: You know, some of it's definitely not good for our con.
- 45:25Speaker 1: But so I opened so this Khalifi Dragon deck. I
- 45:29Speaker 1: also had uh nephrew and double uh what I blow
- 45:36Speaker 1: up your own guys? What's the oh gosh, what's the card?
- 45:41Speaker 1: Gift of amber? Double gift of Amber and nephrew?
- 45:46Speaker 4: So I like and he so lim right king He
- 45:49Speaker 4: played like double Candle unit and had them all taunted,
- 45:52Speaker 4: and I was like, shit, I can't ever reap.
- 45:54Speaker 1: But then I def rued and I played all these dudes.
- 45:56Speaker 1: I blew the ball up and I made all his
- 45:57Speaker 1: amber and I was like aha, and it was like fun.
- 46:01Speaker 4: But imagine he just just went like oh Trenk's creed,
- 46:04Speaker 4: like all that fun would have just gone away, right,
- 46:07Speaker 4: but instead it was big And we are.
- 46:10Speaker 1: We having a gush moment where we talk about how
- 46:12Speaker 1: fun ember Skies is because I still don't like it
- 46:14Speaker 1: for our chives. Yeah, but if we're having a gush
- 46:17Speaker 1: moment about how how good it is as a sealed set,
- 46:20Speaker 1: I mean I made x Ray cry this week. Well
- 46:25Speaker 1: that's definitely worth it. Yeah, So I I uh oh
- 46:28Speaker 1: was it? It was a vapor imp right? I mean
- 46:30Speaker 1: not even not even and not even asked card, but
- 46:34Speaker 1: definitely I plopped out a board a diss and was
- 46:37Speaker 1: it venk or ven or rank or whatever. He is
- 46:40Speaker 1: the dude who says, you know, draw one less. So
- 46:44Speaker 1: we had to make up the because you know, I'm like,
- 46:45Speaker 1: what is the chance he redlined me already? And I'm like,
- 46:49Speaker 1: what's the chance this has got a double red line? Well,
- 46:52Speaker 1: obviously good enough he had it. But both times I
- 46:57Speaker 1: hit my my vapor hip hit action, so he wasn't
- 47:00Speaker 1: allowed to play actions. So go I g into the
- 47:03Speaker 1: next turn, I'm like okay, because he basically I was like,
- 47:06Speaker 1: He's like, well, do you want the bad news?
- 47:08Speaker 2: Now?
- 47:08Speaker 1: I'm like, you can't play actions or sheep said you
- 47:10Speaker 1: can't play actions and he's like, oh, well that sucks,
- 47:15Speaker 1: and then he made the decision to kill the then
- 47:17Speaker 1: instead of the vapor imp. But I'm like, well, I
- 47:19Speaker 1: think my shot here is to uh reap with the
- 47:22Speaker 1: vapor imp and see if I can hit another action.
- 47:25Speaker 1: I hit another action, so you couldn't play nice and
- 47:29Speaker 1: then he then then X ray cry he didn't do
- 47:33Speaker 1: it on the phone. We also had to help him
- 47:38Speaker 1: read cards, so yep, that was fun. So there's our
- 47:45Speaker 1: gush moment about Ember Skuy's Ember Sky is still garbage
- 47:48Speaker 1: set now, but if for sealed, it still so for
- 47:52Speaker 1: you know, I feel like this is AOA where I
- 47:54Speaker 1: was like, oh, it's so good, it's so good, it's amazing,
- 47:56Speaker 1: it's so good, it's gonna be good, and then it
- 47:59Speaker 1: barely goes.
- 48:00Speaker 4: AOA is almost always terrible.
- 48:03Speaker 1: There are some really fun AOA decks, but like ninety
- 48:07Speaker 1: of it is junk. Right. Yeah, this is coming from
- 48:11Speaker 1: the group that's like, hey, you guys want to do
- 48:13Speaker 1: AOA sealed for our store chip.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Yes, we were no no, no, no, no, yeah, we
- 48:22Speaker 2: have a special go ahead and chief, how are we
- 48:24Speaker 2: doing this? Is it's not just one deck away?
- 48:27Speaker 3: So yeah, and our convoluted thing we're gonna about to
- 48:30Speaker 3: approach is we play at one store, but we're gonna
- 48:33Speaker 3: buy boxes of AOA from another store to play at
- 48:36Speaker 3: store Championship.
- 48:39Speaker 1: We have to. We have to do it because we
- 48:41Speaker 1: don't have any not have AOA. Yes, one of our
- 48:45Speaker 1: display Yeah, one of our stores apparently has.
- 48:48Speaker 3: AOA for a buck and a half a deck. So
- 48:51Speaker 3: we're talking about buying displays of AOA and that's it.
- 48:55Speaker 3: You're gonna you're gonna break twelve and build from that.
- 48:59Speaker 1: No, for.
- 49:02Speaker 2: We did go ahead and let one of our locals,
- 49:07Speaker 2: uh alliance coded decks this week.
- 49:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that's never happened before. Well yeah, she also opened
- 49:20Speaker 1: three cracked pods. Yeah, I mean there was there was,
- 49:26Speaker 1: there was diss, there was logos. The logos is pretty
- 49:29Speaker 1: good too. She had yeah, she got she opened a
- 49:33Speaker 1: triple Control the Week deck. Yes, and then had was
- 49:37Speaker 1: pretty good triple Control the week double TMTP with also
- 49:41Speaker 1: other ways to st yeah, double tm t P. And
- 49:43Speaker 1: then don't forget there was a scrambler storm sitting in
- 49:47Speaker 1: that logos pod that was actually not not terrible. There's
- 49:51Speaker 1: a scrambler storm. There was a mother, there was there
- 49:53Speaker 1: was some good stuff. Yeah, but if we didn't let
- 49:55Speaker 1: our alliance, she would have got her teeth kicked in. Yeah.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Well yeah, I had. I had no problem using amber
- 50:01Speaker 2: skies to take that deck down. I mean, is just saying, yeah,
- 50:07Speaker 2: says the guy who had the craft board. Again, it
- 50:10Speaker 2: wasn't it wasn't the mars there. It was actually control
- 50:13Speaker 2: from the disc like you to if you could land it.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, all.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Right, looking at is there any eroticas that you felt
- 50:25Speaker 2: was missed. Boys, we already talked about and I know
- 50:32Speaker 2: inside of what else is the easy, low hanging fruit.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Did you feel that there are any prophecies that were missed?
- 50:42Speaker 4: Is putting in the chat rage reset so Straganate would
- 50:45Speaker 4: have liked to have seen rage reset eroted with the
- 50:51Speaker 4: change to you know, pretty devastating.
- 50:54Speaker 1: Yeah it is, But like you also have cards like
- 50:57Speaker 1: try hard which do very similar things.
- 51:02Speaker 3: I heard sort of it's two ways sort of yeah,
- 51:08Speaker 3: one third not one half.
- 51:10Speaker 2: Right, What about the difference between rage reset and reiteration.
- 51:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's two verse three cards or because
- 51:25Speaker 1: you're playing against sets that actually draw cards just not
- 51:30Speaker 1: typically a peven thin can be it's.
- 51:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean the fact that ask again later changed.
- 51:41Speaker 4: I get why if you're just looking at what are
- 51:44Speaker 4: all the things that are real rough and if you say, like, okay,
- 51:51Speaker 4: well the combination of rage reset in mex again later,
- 51:55Speaker 4: that particular devastating combo is no longer there, so maybe
- 51:59Speaker 4: you don't need to do both. I get that train
- 52:01Speaker 4: of thought feels like something that should be play tested,
- 52:04Speaker 4: which I'm sure it wasn't.
- 52:06Speaker 1: Which we're going to do now for the next six months.
- 52:12Speaker 2: I know, if I have my hand discarded and I
- 52:18Speaker 2: can still go into another like I get the choice,
- 52:23Speaker 2: I'm more okay with it.
- 52:24Speaker 1: I can play one card instead of but.
- 52:28Speaker 2: Being aboard it is it is important.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Now there's in the Greater key Ford community. Not something
- 52:40Speaker 3: we've particularly discussed, but there has been quite a few
- 52:43Speaker 3: people talking about that they think using prophecies for generic
- 52:48Speaker 3: efficiency needs to be erotted wiped.
- 52:52Speaker 1: Yep.
- 52:53Speaker 4: I mean, uh so, so we were We're gonna get
- 52:58Speaker 4: to because we have to we have to rescore some
- 53:00Speaker 4: of these cards, right, yeah, But as I was thinking
- 53:04Speaker 4: about what the scoring is for asking later. So just
- 53:09Speaker 4: imagine this, right, if you had a card, let's just
- 53:12Speaker 4: say it's an artifact, right, give this card. It's an artifact.
- 53:16Speaker 4: You play it, and it you know it reads you
- 53:20Speaker 4: know this, This artifact starts the game in your hand,
- 53:24Speaker 4: and right it belongs to all houses, and it reads,
- 53:28Speaker 4: this artifact is indestructible, cannot be removed or balanced or anything.
- 53:31Speaker 4: And it says like, on your turn, roll a D
- 53:35Speaker 4: six on a three through six, discard a card of
- 53:39Speaker 4: your choice, like and it did nothing else, like would
- 53:45Speaker 4: that card be a six.
- 53:49Speaker 2: Yes?
- 53:49Speaker 4: Or would that not be a six, that'd be a six.
- 53:51Speaker 4: So with no effect, just just literally roll a dice
- 53:56Speaker 4: and and three four, five, six, your choice.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's maybe it's omni so you don't need
- 54:05Speaker 1: to you don't have to activate it, right, so it's
- 54:07Speaker 1: your choice. It's before you draw versatile. Yeah, so pretty good.
- 54:20Speaker 1: I guess it also depends that Again, also depends on
- 54:23Speaker 1: the prophecies because there's some of these that aren't hidden. Well,
- 54:27Speaker 1: but they also don't.
- 54:29Speaker 3: Mean anything because we're in theory reaching where PV is
- 54:33Speaker 3: ar con only, so bad prophecies are for weird formats
- 54:38Speaker 3: out anyways, just say it, just.
- 54:41Speaker 1: Say where they're going to be. Now it's not just shredder.
- 54:47Speaker 2: Well yeah, it falls similar to whoa where if you
- 54:50Speaker 2: had the wrong token, it just wasn't in our conduct,
- 54:53Speaker 2: It wasn't playable and you had the same You have
- 54:55Speaker 2: the same impact with prophecies.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I had a sweet blurb duct like that.
- 54:59Speaker 1: If it didn't have the blurb, it was a really
- 55:00Speaker 1: good deck, but because it had the more, it sucked ass.
- 55:06Speaker 1: So what's what's gonna be the league that you name
- 55:08Speaker 1: for playing only bad prophecies adaptive? What if the joke
- 55:15Speaker 1: for shitty fortune teller. It's Zultar. Yeah, I totally played
- 55:28Speaker 1: did the Zultar in? Where were we in Vegas? Was
- 55:31Speaker 1: that Vegas where you did it?
- 55:34Speaker 2: You did it in Vegas? We were we were there, yeah,
- 55:38Speaker 2: because we were amazed when we saw Zultar, Like, okay,
- 55:40Speaker 2: well that's gonna happen.
- 55:44Speaker 1: All right? Is there anything later? Okay, go for it.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Well we're gonna score, right, we gotta score as I mean,
- 55:54Speaker 1: I still think later pretty high up there, it's a
- 56:00Speaker 1: just one to five.
- 56:06Speaker 4: You think it went. You think it's a five. I
- 56:10Speaker 4: think it went from a twelve to and eleven, I
- 56:13Speaker 4: would have I think it's still a six.
- 56:15Speaker 1: I think it's still a six too, Like it still
- 56:17Speaker 1: provides a lot of efficiency, whether you get bonuses in
- 56:23Speaker 1: efficiency or not. I guess it's just a I just
- 56:26Speaker 1: hate the card and I want to give it a
- 56:28Speaker 1: negative too. Yeah.
- 56:30Speaker 3: It's like it's not that the card is inherently weak,
- 56:36Speaker 3: it's that you're an inherently bad person for playing it.
- 56:42Speaker 2: There's you don't even have a case. If it's in
- 56:44Speaker 2: the deck. It's in the deck, like it's part of
- 56:48Speaker 2: the forest showed up so infrequently that you could get
- 56:50Speaker 2: away from it and not have an issue. You knew
- 56:53Speaker 2: that you had to blame hard like, there's.
- 56:56Speaker 3: Just another card that I do. I just I'm just like, yeah,
- 56:59Speaker 3: I don't if I never had to play a game
- 57:01Speaker 3: with it again. And I really thought I was going
- 57:04Speaker 3: to enjoy that card because of the knowledge kind of
- 57:07Speaker 3: gain that was there.
- 57:09Speaker 2: But it's the mental it's the mental load that is
- 57:12Speaker 2: exerted consistently.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Is is problematic remembering.
- 57:16Speaker 3: It's it's just another timing step and memory and another
- 57:20Speaker 3: thing that has to be done in a game that
- 57:22Speaker 3: already has trouble.
- 57:23Speaker 1: Finishing times sometimes.
- 57:28Speaker 3: And now we just have more It's just that that
- 57:31Speaker 3: tax on top. We don't need more tax on top
- 57:34Speaker 3: of this game right now.
- 57:35Speaker 1: In my opinion, Ye yep, I'm still baffling the number strong.
- 57:43Speaker 1: I would agree with you. I'm right there with you,
- 57:46Speaker 1: and that's six with you. I'm still baffled at the
- 57:49Speaker 1: amount of things every set, Like why we add a
- 57:55Speaker 1: new mechanic Literally every set seems like we either add
- 57:58Speaker 1: a new house or a new mechanic every set. That's
- 58:03Speaker 1: that's every block. We would get bored, yeah, you would.
- 58:09Speaker 1: Every block. Block took about a year well three quarters.
- 58:15Speaker 2: We've talked about this extensively. There's no interest in being
- 58:18Speaker 2: able to do that with key Forge.
- 58:20Speaker 1: So when it's like, it's okay, but when you want
- 58:23Speaker 1: to shoot the dead horse, we can talk about it.
- 58:26Speaker 1: That's that seems but sell walk up to God's corner,
- 58:36Speaker 1: all right? All right? So we had a bunch of
- 58:38Speaker 1: cards that went down in value now mhm, but we
- 58:44Speaker 1: didn't score those based off of prophecies. Do you do
- 58:51Speaker 1: you guys actually right now? Do you guys actually before.
- 58:56Speaker 2: You get there? Do you do you feel any need
- 58:58Speaker 2: for the argument from the RAA or keyboards community the
- 59:01Speaker 2: prophecies need as a whole to be modified. That's just
- 59:06Speaker 2: a yes or a no. I mean, I if this
- 59:11Speaker 2: were my game, like it timed out, yeah, like like
- 59:14Speaker 2: they time out there, you have one prophecy that hits
- 59:17Speaker 2: per game, or it goes ahead in every other turn,
- 59:21Speaker 2: something of that sort.
- 59:22Speaker 4: I mean, honestly, what I would have done was I
- 59:24Speaker 4: would use those stupid counter that prophecy counter thing that
- 59:28Speaker 4: we got that we never use, and then you would
- 59:33Speaker 4: mark a prophecy gets activated but doesn't actively doesn't actually
- 59:36Speaker 4: trigger the thing under it till the start of your
- 59:38Speaker 4: next turn.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Now you have to change all bunch of shit for that.
- 59:41Speaker 4: But then at least it's not like doing crap on
- 59:44Speaker 4: your opponent's turn and that whole like what's under there,
- 59:49Speaker 4: it doesn't trigger during Yeah, it's like not on your
- 59:53Speaker 4: opponent's turn, it's on yours.
- 59:54Speaker 1: But that's I think that is very key. That's far
- 59:57Speaker 1: too much. Yeah, that's that's that's why I would. I can't,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: but then you have to change all the fates. So
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: it's it's just a mess. I can't keep track of
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Sheep's keys and you want to do all that. No, no,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: it would, I think just yeah, you use your little prophecy,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: can put a marker on it. Yeah, well no, no,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. Like you just you, you you
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: activate one prophecy. You can still put a card under
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: another prophecy, but only one is actively allowed to fulfill,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: and then once it's fulfilled, during your next turn, you
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: can choose a new one. So like you take your
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: little marker, Oh, this one's my active fate. If Sheep
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: triggers it, now, next turn, I can choose a different profit.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: You know, either put a new one under the active
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: one or fulfill the other one by making that the
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: active one.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: Yeah, another thing that works way easier, and a digital
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: implementation right manages that. Then you could have like every
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: deck could have access to all twenty six prophecies and
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: they just like every turn, bam, here's the one you
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: can fire this turn.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: Ah.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: I mean part of me garbage, so that isn't actually better,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: but yeah.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: Part of me looks at a prophecy and just says
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: it should be a one time you have.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: One and done.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: Some of them are done one and done done, because
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: that gets rid of all of this stashing cards under
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: that's absolute junk. You have to play actual cards that
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: you want and saving it.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: If you do, I think it makes it be a
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: completely unplayable set.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: I think that it takes an absolutely massive hit.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: Yes, I agree, Yeah, I think the best one I
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: saw was.
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: Like if if you put a card under there, and
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: anytime you uh, prophecy triggers and the card under it
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: doesn't have a fade effect the person who put it
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: under their games of chain, but only if the only
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: if it doesn't have it. So if you're just using
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: it for generic efficiency and you know, like and you
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: do it under your card, that only triggers, never because
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: your prophecy suck and just hiding your worst card under
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: Oh look, they get actions in around and they never
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: did that this game, and you don't actually get penalized
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: for it.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: But yeah, discarding a card under stuff that fires every
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: turn is a thing, and I do believe that in
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: general prophecies prophecies sort of need addressing. But at the
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: same time, because of the formats and how we play
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: this game, I don't think they actually need to do
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: anything because of the formats that this game embraces. If
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: there was more miscellaneous crossset play going on, then I
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: think they do right, because then all of a sudden,
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: it's what he's talking about, Like everything in ap PV
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: Deck is just inherently slightly better because it's doing more
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: than it's ever done before, and it doesn't compare well
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: versus and are just just don't have those tools. But
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: because that's not how we actually play key Forge, it
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: kind of doesn't matter.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: What is it. That kind of how Woe worked too,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: because the cards were inherently just doing more than they've
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: ever done before, and the same with gr Now you
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: have a script I have discarding cards now now actually
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: means something when you discard cards instead of just not
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: playing them.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: So the.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: Fine opportunity cost in Woe was better balanced. And there's
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: a lot of people who really dislike Woe and find
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: it a hard set to play because how often it
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: token turns important stuff into tokens and that's not easy
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: to get it back and you lose because of that. Like,
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: that definitely happens, and you're right in that scrap app
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: effects in g are again do provide. It is another
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: avenue that other sets weren't playing with with having discard
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: pips and scrap effects, but the quantity and general strength
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: of those effects were pame enough to not be like
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: the best scrap effect is snippy.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: Yeah, they weren't game breaking because because for the most part,
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: it wasn't happening off of your turn, and the impact
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: the impact on an off turn, like playing outside of
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: your turn has a major impact in the game. I
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: can steal on your turn, I can go ahead and
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: do damage to your creatures and your turn, like those
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: are things that they break the normal game set up,
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: and so I think that.
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: The stuff that did that previously was open and clearly
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: there right like out Okay, it's like, oh, okay, that
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: is going to happen. Not if I do this, then
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: this is gonna flip up and maybe something happens.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: I will shut out to Airic Waters in our show
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: notes there like are in the AC Live show notes.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: I wish they would have flipped the other side of
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: a prophecy once you've used one side, So think about that.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: And because many of the prophecies are just really really bad,
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: and if you get it to trigger once, uh, that's
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: that's great. There have been once like bad Omen there
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: having exactly six we triggered. I triggered bad Omen once
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: in all the games I've played like that was a
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: celebration all by itself, just similar to going ahead and
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: Khalifi like, getting some of these things to fire is awesome.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: So I would be more open to that if you
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: have something that's going to trigger, but then it flips
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: to the other side and so now you have to
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: have two and it makes sense that much harder.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: If they did that, idea.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: PV would be a worthless set. It would probably become
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: one of the worst sets. It would not compete if
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: that was the rule, It just wow. So because too
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: many backsides are that kind of bad where they will
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: never fire. And what makes PV competitive is fates. Their
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: regular stud isn't good enough.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Except for tranks. It's uh sure, I mean you're right,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: you know what.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: I say this and that might Actually it's just a
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: different set of cards because Trenk's keyed hood ranked cover
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: fire Sorrian beat down deck is viable when you're not
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: losing to broken prophecies.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: And the logos. And does it just forget reiterations? I
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: mean the board that can be push from logs, it's crazy.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: But no, you're you're setting up where they can't trigger
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: prophecies regularly, so all of a sudden rage reset reiteration
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: is not nearly as much.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: Of a thing reiteration to draw two cards and put
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: two on the bottom. Oh no, the play effect is
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: extremely strong.
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: Good play effect. But I'm just saying, like I different cards,
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: would Star TV would take a.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: I actually like I think you need to go would
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: you just see the or would you just see that
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: the tails go wider or whateverything shift the left except
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: for the tail because if you've got four good prophecies
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: on a deck, sure suddenly like with you right, it's
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: like you're back in like, yeah, here's the ten decks
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: that you know that and U our guest just finds
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: them right, and then there's the ten decks that are good,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: and uh, that's it. Or I like shape's idea of
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: the best. But I was like, he's like gaining a chain.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: That's not idea. That is something I read on a
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: discard someone. Oh, I don't know if gaining a chain
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: is a big enough punishment too, like oh, officient random efficiency.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: But I mean you flip up a non fake card,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: you lose a number. I mean that would be more punishing.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: I don't I think that's enough to make I don't
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: think that would be more punishing than a chain. That's uh.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: I think the defined cough and amber is not necessarily
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: as meaningful as the undefined cost of not having.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: The ability to draw your answers. Okay, that's fair. I
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: don't know, you know, the.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: Play testing would mean would mean a lot for that
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: kind of thing to see if it even matters at all,
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: Because even the one chain is functionally kind of a
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: wash from just discarding that car sort of the same
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: like value. It might it might have to be something
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: like two chains where it's like you actually get a
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: loss for doing that because at one chain you gave
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: up the card, you drew a new card, and the
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: next her in your chain. But just still kind of
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: just said like, after you draw a six, discard your
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: least favorite card and you're only playing with five cards next,
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: and that's still okay, right, Like.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: So here's the thing, boys, I think that PV is
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: extremely powerful. We see it for our con. My question
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: is like, it's pretty divisive for the overall key Forge community,
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: and I think there's a lot of people in their
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: small community that frankly would be completely content with it
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: going away. I don't see that same band kind of
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: standing up and saying this is the set that we need,
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: this is the set that we want. And so what
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: do you guys think if PV just wasn't here, would
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: that be better for the game?
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: What do I need to go the dr?
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: So, I mean find out if ambers guy's actually answered
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: g R.
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: Yeah, the GR had so I mostly really liked GR.
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: The problem that GR had, I think a lot of
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: people so I know, I've you know, back to the
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: dead horse.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: In my opinion, the.
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: People complained about GR being too strong. I don't think
- 1:10:30Speaker 4: that was the problem. I think the problem was the
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: watch me play stuff in gr That was the not
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: so fun part.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: So that was the reason a lot of people didn't
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: go back to the well to find answers for it.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: They just bitched.
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: Now here. Here's my analogy, is like, so you got
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: really used to getting beat with the with the leather belt,
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: and then they got out the cane. They start beating
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: with the cane. When they take the cane away and
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: start beating you with the leather belt again, you're like, yes,
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: this is better.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: Yet just like that, it's just a different kind of
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: beating at that point, right, how'd you learn about that? One? Cheap?
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: So a life story? I can, I can. I don't
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: want to get anybody.
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: I'll talk to the missus. I'll talk to the misses
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: for you. It's okay, wink once if you need me
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: to call support helpline on sheep.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: It is cabbage by the way, anyway, is it? I
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: don't know, I don't remember that just made that up. Uh,
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: all right, we do gotta go. We gotta score these cards.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: Guys here about the SDE Nope, we're here because we're
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: talking about tournament.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: Get your stress or.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: So atrocity. What are we doing with atrocity? Guys? It
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: went from like triple time? What what is control the week? Six?
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: Control the week is still a significantly better car.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: I'm not saying it's not. But do I not get
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: one or two points? Is the question.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: I have.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: I have a worser one on a stick. You have
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: all the way to the four. It is random, so
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: it sometimes doesn't hit. Ye.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: I think you have some ways to cycle it. But
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: looking just at the card, I think it's a four.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I don't know how you're cycling it, but I mean,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: I guess you could play that November, and then how
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: are you cycling it? Inside?
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: You have untamed that can go a hide and right
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: right right right.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: Right, have super slow that's super slow. Yes, it's possible,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: but you got to be there's not a lot of bounce.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: There's not a lot of bounce. Hysteria is not in set.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Was I was going to go into, yes, you can
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: play him and then give November him and then would
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: you know windrows or you can't bounce back to hand?
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: It is possible, yes, forgetting.
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: Is now that the card is just not nearly as
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: desirable to do that with as it was before, like
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: you would take a mediocre turn just to set up
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: reatrocity before.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Now you just move on with life. Yes, I mean
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: this is this is a this is a car that.
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: Has it's its loss is going to take pods out
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: of alliance. It can take builds out of the line
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: just because you can't do what this card did. It
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: is Yeah, it's it's like a four. It's a fine
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: card now, but it's not anything special.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Okay, So I have a question.
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: So I'm changing into four wounds into wisdom. We have
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: that as a three? Is it still a three?
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: No?
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Excuse me? Yeah, I didn't score it because of atrocity.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Still a three? Yeah, I'm okay with that. I just
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: think it's it's worth asking. Yes, okay, a cosmic recompense.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: What did we score it? No? Six previously? Yeah, now
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: it's now. It's now. It's so now it's a skippy
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: time hog? What's skippy time hog? No splash twenty. Yes,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: he doesn't say you can't play cards. It says you
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: can't use gods. Oh, you can't use cards. Isn't there
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: one that says you can't play cards?
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: Yeah, that you can't play actions? And then word that
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: says you can't play creatures, stealth motives, you can't play actions,
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: and this is you.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Can play nothing.
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: So we had this in the card that said you
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: couldn't play, but you could archive him instead that existed.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: We actually, what is the play effect of Cosmic? Does
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: that become relevant? Hold on? Not really so.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: Damage three if it's not destroyed, steal one, repeat the
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: preceding effect. So you could essentially do three to two
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: creatures and steal two, get to deal six and steal.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: My opinion on Cosmic is it went from a twenty
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: to a twelve m it's still a six. Hmmm, It's
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: just not a six hundred. Yeah, maybe.
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: I think it is.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: I was already heard until five. Yeah, still play cards.
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: Yeah, look at our water stealth modes and those those are.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Five, and the sexes and these are right still yeah
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: crazy st still six? All right? Still six? All right, ridiculous?
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Are there any other cards that we would change?
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: So?
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: I think gleaming the Cube should change now probably what
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: is it? A one? I actually don't know what the
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: it still is. Didn't use The only thing that changed
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: is a a L And now you're trying to score. Yeah, no, no, no,
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: gleaming the cube different but scar cleaming the cube six
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: or for disrupting cars.
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: No, we didn't give it because of asking. Later we
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: gave it because of the strength of its effect when
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: it is triggered properly, which there are still two broken
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: fates that trigger this card properly.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: This is still a six.
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: So gleaming the cube Amber Pip play ready and use
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: a friendly creature. Not what we care about fan discards.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Now, that's play effect is that's pretty good, it's so good.
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: But a discard the top card of your deck, the
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: discarded card's house becomes your active house.
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: Yes, now there's it did lose a prophecy that made
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: it fire, which means a whole bunch of decks are
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: not as good as they were. But it's not gleaming
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: the cube's fault. Nope, because the decks that were it's
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: using the decks that were using gleaming the cub effectively
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: with those other two didn't get worse. They actually got
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: better because the shitty al decks can't do it anymore.
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: So by discounting gleaming, you're reducing the value of decks
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: that actually got stronger, and you're not reducing well, we
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: are reducing the value on decks.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: That got weaker. But it's only because we reduce a
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: few points for a L which is a weakness in
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: the scoring. I've always settled a six. I said it
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: should go down to a five.
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: But anyways, really I still think it's super strong. I
- 1:18:35Speaker 4: think it's still the best prophecy.
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: Uh yeah, well maybe no, Actually, I after after playing
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: Alliance and playing the fact that you cannot guarantee it triggers.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: Makes it not the.
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: Strongest fake or the strongest prophecy. That that is definitely
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: where I sit.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: With that now, and it is not as strong. Which
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: when what what to choose? To choose their house one
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: by far strongest prophecy? Oh we had hold on? What's
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: that one again? That's the that is? I don't one
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: that is the one you were you forth and conquer.
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: No, No, trust your feelings.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: Trust your feelings. Trust your feelings.
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: When a card is placed under trust your feelings, name
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: a house the next time your.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: Point we put trust your feelings out of four guys. Yeah,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: well we're wrong. Trust I do like trust your feelings.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: I would be willing to pump it up. I just
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: the thing, is it? It is not doesn't fire as often,
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: and it doesn't it doesn't fire quite as often necessarily,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: and it is easier to play around. Those are two
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: truth of that card. But let me tell you. When
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: you know what your opponent's trying to do and you're like,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: I need this prophecy to figure, when they fire that
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: card and you stick it under AL and they gets
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: it wrong and you lose the game because of that,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: you realize AL is just a crappy gambling card. Oh yeah,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: it's just the worst design ever. Yes, So that's.
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: Like I said, like, they're going to fix on AL
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: for functionality, which I think is important, but the fact
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: that they didn't get rid of the shitty tax on it, yeah,
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: makes me still despise the card.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: Yep, what sorry, So hold on, So I said, I'm
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: bumping trust feelings to a five. Sheep is going to six.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: Sounds like wookie Ewalk where you guys at. I've always
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: like trust your feelings. You gave it a four last time, Yeah,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: I would go I would go to a five. You
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: go five. And now now we scored these and we didn't.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: We did not have time to play them at the
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: time when we were scoring them. Sure, and I will
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: see I will tell you that, like I I I
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: fully agree with sheep, because yes, once you are able
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: to figure out what they're trying to do or the
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: card that is centric to what they want to do,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: and you're able to at least give yourself a shot
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: at saying nine. Yeah, No, it's because yeah, I mean, well,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: I'm just going to cover fire you. Well, let's let's
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: see if you're going to cover fire, you know, let's
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: take a look at if you're whether you're going to
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: be doing that or not. You know, like you might
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: because gleaming. If I don't, if I remember correctly, you
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: still you flip the top card or your deck, right,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: and that's the house you're going into. M hmmm right.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: So yeah, it's like, well, you might still get to
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: but you might you also might not be doing that.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: So let's uh, let's let's just all the all the
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: stuff the rage resets, right, Let's let's relook at all
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: you are people who are able to strategically time trust
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: your feelings to when you need it, as opposed to
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: like she said, you you get it? What what thirty
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: three and a third percent of the time.
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: Let me tell you, rage reset under when you call
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: mars against fraud is devastating. Where a L is coin flip.
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: So yeah, it is a flip and THEFICI. Here's here's
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: the thing. A Yes, a L is most efficient and
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: it's great for turning the greatest number of cards. It
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: is not the best prophecy for winning games that that
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: might be true to Like, I mean, like you're you're right,
- 1:23:00Speaker 3: the efficiency and the value getting a L is a six,
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: but it is not the card I want anymore, ye
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: for making a deck function. I mean, it's just it
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: is functionally more an efficiency card to me than a
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: you know, I'm gonna put this under here, and this
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: is how I'm going to win the game.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: Because it is a place. It's like, all right, we're
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: gonna flip a coin and see if I win the game.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: And I hate I hate it. I hate it for
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: that because it has it has worked probably as often
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: or more often than it hasn't. But I remember the
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: few games where it hasn't.
- 1:23:44Speaker 4: Ye oh yeah, I definitely remember what definitely lost a
- 1:23:48Speaker 4: lot of games based on my guessing abilities, right, So.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: And that's still there. So what did we give stars?
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: A lot of things? Stars? One good question that's a five.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: We liked it, Okay, Yeah, no, I still like it.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: I don't think I liked it necessarily back in the day,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: but now I'm like, okay, yep, No, when I strategically
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: need to get a fake, you only give it a three. Yeah. No,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: I like it much more now because you are one
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: of those where where you can ensure they're timing of
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: going off. Right, I can ensure that it goes off.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: And I didn't feel like that was going to happen
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: a ton, But it's like I actually, I mean, if
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: I'm behind, maybe not, but if I'm ahead, I can
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: definitely make sure that this goes off. So yeah, I
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: think I think it is appropriate. What about Okay, so
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: what about Chummy? Because Chummy there's dark Chummy just got
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: a lot better. No, you are you are continually trying
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: to misscore and Z score. You try to change scores
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: based off of another card that's not the core of
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: how Z score is supposed to work. It's supposed to
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: primarily be the raw value of that card. I understand
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: the problem with Fates is that they kind of did
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: right like it's it's hard, but I agree with doesn't
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: My argument doesn't change in that your I mean at
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: that point you need to make a scoring based off
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: of a meta choice, which is I want to emphasize it.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: If you want to do that, well no, I mean you're.
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: Just making a decision here. If you if if you
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: actually think and you want to tell people that Chummy
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: decks are better now and you should be looking at
- 1:25:54Speaker 3: them because I think they're going to be all the rage,
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: then you score it up.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: But I don't. I don't think it has functionally changed
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: that much. I don't. And even if you do raise
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: Chummy by a point, it doesn't mathematically mean enough to
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: do anything in this. Yeah, you need a lot of Chummies,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: your five Chummy deck. I mean, well, yeah, but then
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: you have that's the truth of this on every card. Yeah,
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: but like how how did why did Why would you
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: say Chummy went up? Before? Like why would you say
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: he went up? It's now you can stop your opponent
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: from four? Yeah, but you could, you could, you could,
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: You can still. You can still do that with stars align.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: You can still do that with with the other one.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: I'm totally drawing a blank right now. It does so
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: like it.
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: Doesn't change, Like, yes, it does change down it trying
- 1:26:49Speaker 4: again later, right, but like, what are.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: They going to be playing asking again later as much
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: now that it does not work as meaningfully with the
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: Star Alliance power prophecies, and not only even even even
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: before it was still a random chance Chummy goes off
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: if you guess wrong, guess what ask again later, doesn't
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: go wrong, and your chummy stay is right where he sat.
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: He doesn't, he doesn't, he doesn't.
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: But the difference is is Chummy now fires before the
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: key is forged, so you can't just stop him where
- 1:27:23Speaker 3: Chummy under old al was just steal to at a
- 1:27:29Speaker 3: meaningless point in the game because they've already forged their
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: key and now if they still have some amber left
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: or they didn't forge key and you're just stealing.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: But I feel like you're focused on like the wrong
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: third of the game. If you are focused on Chummy
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: going off at the final key, you've probably already lost
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: that game.
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: No, it's before us now with al right, Like what
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: Mack is saying is totally correct, Like whin al fires
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: now makes we're it's just al now works And this
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: is the thing, is it just it works better with
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: a handful of cards that were Amber control better than
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: it works with a handful of cards that were disruption right,
- 1:28:14Speaker 3: and arguably the disruption was stronger. So we're saying al
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: got weaker, but not weak enough that we actually want
- 1:28:23Speaker 3: to change the score. That's you guys are saying, right,
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: But I don't think that it changes the value of
- 1:28:32Speaker 3: those other cards, just because when al why don't we
- 1:28:36Speaker 3: give bandits cards are already pretty well scored?
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: What do we give banded culver? I feel like we
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: might have missed scarred banded culver. I still don't well
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: as much as everybody else does.
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: I mean, so I actually have been thinking of banded culver.
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: It's interesting you mentioned this, Wookie, because we have seen
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: a lot of bandit culver uh at top top level
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: play both at Sealed and arkon.
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: But we have it as a four right now. It's
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: it's correct. Yeah, it's correct at a four unless you
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: want to get to going multiples, because multiples is really
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: worth Yeah, we should be escalating, is what we had said.
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: Far.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: I think it is correct. Yes, maybe I'll get to
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: implementing that. I don't know, but.
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: The house and it's so good. Bandit culver is good
- 1:29:35Speaker 3: because it comes with hoodwink and cover fires, which I'm yep,
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: I guessing most of the time. I don't know how
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: many Bandit Culver decks are getting paid for Bandit culverts
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: that don't have those, I mean in sealed. It's kind
- 1:29:49Speaker 3: of a mess, right, because sometimes that's the best. But sadly,
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: what is the reason Bandit Culver is actually good and
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: or why we're saying he's good is because the rest
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: of Shadows and you're happy to discard cards for one steal.
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: I'm totally willing to steal one. So many of the.
- 1:30:10Speaker 3: Shadows cards in the set are on impactful that you're
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: happy to discard them for a steal. So having to
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: burnished nickels in a deck that has a Hoodwink cover
- 1:30:22Speaker 3: fire all of a sudden at least gives your crappy
- 1:30:24Speaker 3: Shadows cards some value. But his value is in that
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: your other cards were bad in this set, because if
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: he was in a set with good Shadow Steels cards,
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: if you were in a set with way more Ronnie's
- 1:30:40Speaker 3: Relentlesses and nerve blasts, you're not gonna discard those to him,
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: discard the jump that exists in this set, because this
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: set is full of dunk. It's not because he's gone
- 1:30:56Speaker 3: and there's not even enough discard pips where your off
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: turn discard is amazing. He does have I guess there
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: is a little bit of that, right because him being
- 1:31:07Speaker 3: on play allows to steal based off of the discarding
- 1:31:12Speaker 3: your opponent makes you do. Right, So he, yeah, divides
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: a little defense against that, which is something something that's decent,
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: and he has more value into those kinds of situations
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: then I think he does, just as a.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:31:35Speaker 3: His core value to me still sits where it is.
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: He's situationally better right now better and sealed where you're
- 1:31:49Speaker 3: taking in mediocre shadows for the two sixes that are
- 1:31:53Speaker 3: in it and fourteen ones is what it feels like. Well,
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: it's two six is one, four and a whole bunch
- 1:31:59Speaker 3: of ones and twos, and now you turn those ones
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: in twos into.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: Yeah, do you into into threes? Right?
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: Because discarded card steel one is turns anything into a three?
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: Fair enough? All right? Do we want to go through
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: the Alliance changes or do we want to save that
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: for next week? I mean we could pretend like next
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: week like we know things about Alliance. I don't know
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: how to say. Do we want to find an intelligent guest.
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: Well we could who's who's I don't know, Yeah, maybe
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: we should do that. We will find somebody I don't
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: know who we got. We got Stragan eight in the audience.
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: He's he's an Alliance guy. Maybe maybe I don't know,
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: maybe we'll get him, Uh, who knows, we could do
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: that or somebody else. We're an hour, We're an hour
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: and a half and already yeah, and I'm like, all right, yeah,
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: I'm done. I'm done talking about this because Alliance is
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: gonna be I don't know. Probably I've kind of figured
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: at least another hour long argument where Sheep just says
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: you're wrong and or whatever. I don't know. Maybe he
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: doesn't I don't know. Maybe he's just like I will
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: strongly defend my beliefs. What's worn with that? Or he's
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: just gonna be like it's alliance. I really don't care.
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: And I'm the one who's the bad guy for taking
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: time to play key Forge. Just sit here talking in circles.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: No, just if you're gonna win, just you're just upset
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: because we're not talking about your circle. My circle, oh
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: e walk circle. I was like, what what's my circle?
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: I don't even know anyways. Uh, yeah, I don't. I
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: don't have a super strong opinion on Alliance. I know
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: Sydney did. I'm on it right now. Join us next
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: week where we bring straight and are you ready Strangen,
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: it's your big debut next week. I hope you're ready.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: We'll see if he says nope, that is that a
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: nope you're not coming on or nope you're not ready
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: because you got you got a week, got a week
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: to get to get there. You know who also who
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: also dabbles in the Alliance. Yeah, we could. We could
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: grab uh, we could grab our my fellow bearded my
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: fellow bearded friend, uh and see if he wants to
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: do it. He's his name, mam and dabbles. Yeah, he
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: didn't more than dabble. He thinks about that that ship.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: So we could definitely. So we'll send some messages out
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: and then force Stragen and the doing it. How are
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: our people talk to his people? Yeah? Yeah, well I'll
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: have my people talk to your people talk to Stragan.
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: I'm just posting in our Alliance channel. Okay, but but
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: join us next week. We'll talk Alliance and their changes.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: I didn't think we'd go an hour and a half
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: on the changes and uh in in this but here,
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: I mean here we are.
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: How many years have we been here? Wikie? Come on, man?
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: How many years? Like? I don't know, is this six?
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: I think? May we'll be s Yeah, but.
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: With the four of us, things that should take ten
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: minutes are Yeah, we're still talking.
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: I mean, but it's usually your fault and you were quiet.
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: M h. That's because I let him have last week.
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: Got it, got it, And now it's all making sense perfect.
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: I like where we're going with this. We'll join us
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: next week. We'll talk some alliance. Let us know what
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: you think about our decisions. You can leave it down
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: in the old comments section down below. And with that
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: being said, everybody, we will see you all next week.
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: Be forging everyone.
- 1:36:22Speaker 2: May the Forge be with you.
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: Maybe next week we'll fext Sheep's internet too. I'm not
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: sure the problems Yeah, name no names, armless see sang.
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: It's coming around this time. It's coming around this sime,
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: these so strange names. Thanks, it's coming around this sign.
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: It's coming
