- 1:32Speaker 1: Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go there it is.
- 1:37Speaker 1: It's a story you need to hear to believe. Then
- 1:38Speaker 1: grab your popcorn because there is more uh this story
- 1:43Speaker 1: about the Pentagon Press Pentagon changing the rules hess Press
- 1:50Speaker 1: Office outlining new rules requiring Beat reporters to sign a
- 1:54Speaker 1: pledge not to obtain or use on authorized material, even
- 1:57Speaker 1: if the information is unclassified, and anyjournalist who doesn't sign
- 2:01Speaker 1: the pledge risks losing physical access to the Pentagon and
- 2:06Speaker 1: so ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, and Fox refuse to sign
- 2:17Speaker 1: the statement, says Today, we joined virtually every other news
- 2:20Speaker 1: organization declining to agree to the Pentagon's new requirements, which
- 2:23Speaker 1: will restrict journalist's ability to keep the nation in the
- 2:25Speaker 1: world informed of important national security issues. The policies without
- 2:29Speaker 1: precedent and threatens core journalistic protections. We will continue to
- 2:33Speaker 1: cover the US military, as each of our organizations has
- 2:35Speaker 1: done for many decades, upholding the principles of a free
- 2:38Speaker 1: and independent press. Yeah, I would argue they're right in
- 2:45Speaker 1: that if there's a real question about if you're given
- 2:49Speaker 1: some kind of information that could help the enemy, should
- 2:52Speaker 1: you should you publish that? If you're given information that
- 2:56Speaker 1: could harm the United States, should you publish that? I
- 2:58Speaker 1: think that that's a constant, sitimate conversation, and one about well,
- 3:02Speaker 1: what does the journalist do. I have this information, if
- 3:06Speaker 1: it was obtained because someone gave it to you, well
- 3:09Speaker 1: what do you do? Well, this is really about shutting
- 3:11Speaker 1: down leaks. That's a problem for the Pentagon, and certainly
- 3:18Speaker 1: that is part of the reason to replace people across
- 3:22Speaker 1: the media landscape, across the the the governmental landscape who
- 3:29Speaker 1: are involved for issues of ideology and narrative and not
- 3:33Speaker 1: based on what's best for the nation. But I'm a
- 3:37Speaker 1: journalist and I get this information, and now if I
- 3:39Speaker 1: print it, I don't get access. No, no, no, I'll
- 3:42Speaker 1: do this from the outside. I think I think that
- 3:46Speaker 1: this is something that that heck Seth is going to
- 3:48Speaker 1: lose on. We'll see how it plays out. But the
- 3:51Speaker 1: story I want to share with you was Cheryl Hines
- 3:54Speaker 1: on The View, where she is the wife of the
- 3:58Speaker 1: Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert IF Kennedy Junior,
- 4:02Speaker 1: and they're asking her about his conversations about Tyler and
- 4:05Speaker 1: Alsie to metafin and autism and now women who are pregnant.
- 4:08Speaker 1: They're not sure what to take and they start pressing
- 4:12Speaker 1: her about her husband professional.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Well, they they said, consult your doctor before taking it.
- 4:21Speaker 2: That was the That's what they were saying, and that holds.
- 4:27Speaker 2: So I agree. Listen, I've been pregnant. I understand it's
- 4:32Speaker 2: stressful being pregnant. I found because you're so concerned with everything.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I didn't drink caffeine when I was pregnant. So to say, hey,
- 4:42Speaker 2: you know, consult your doctor before you take this, I
- 4:46Speaker 2: agree with that. And I think that's okay for moms
- 4:49Speaker 2: to hear.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Surel yeah, go ahead, out all right, I am this
- 4:55Speaker 3: This is not your fight really to be fighting. This
- 4:57Speaker 3: is your husband's.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Thank you for acknowledging that.
- 5:00Speaker 3: But I just want to say, I just I do
- 5:03Speaker 3: want to say, you know, he's not a doctor, and
- 5:06Speaker 3: he's not a professional. Yes, and oftentimes when he's talking.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Oftentimes when he's speaking, he is speaking not with the
- 5:18Speaker 3: best information that we can get.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Because Wi pie Goldberg has decided she's got the best
- 5:24Speaker 1: information and starts with listen, it's this your husband here.
- 5:27Speaker 1: But let me tell you how terrible he is to
- 5:30Speaker 1: its Cheryl Hines, to her.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Credit, as you know, yeah, we could do a lot
- 5:35Speaker 3: better with health stuff, and there's a lot of stuff
- 5:38Speaker 3: he can do, and some of the things he's suggested
- 5:43Speaker 3: take it out of the hands of my doctor and
- 5:45Speaker 3: me and my obg y and me. And I wonder,
- 5:52Speaker 3: does it give you pause? And are you able to say,
- 5:55Speaker 3: you know, that might not actually be so, because I've
- 5:59Speaker 3: got my experience, sperience, and I've done lived with this
- 6:01Speaker 3: and I'm still here. So are you able to have
- 6:04Speaker 3: those conversations with him?
- 6:06Speaker 2: I am able to have those conversations. And just to
- 6:09Speaker 2: be clear, of secretarias of HHS have not been doctors,
- 6:16Speaker 2: but they've got a science.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Honest.
- 6:20Speaker 2: One of Obama's secretaris of HHS was an economist.
- 6:27Speaker 3: So most the majority of them that haven't had medical
- 6:30Speaker 3: backgrounds have white science, don't do anything else.
- 6:33Speaker 1: And now they go to break because Cheryl Hines just
- 6:36Speaker 1: put Whoopy Goldberg and Sunny hosted in the trunk. Here
- 6:40Speaker 1: are the facts. Oh no, no, no, no, no, they have
- 6:42Speaker 1: science backgrounds, No they don't, Javier, but Sarah didn't have
- 6:46Speaker 1: a science background. No they don't. Necessarily it's a political position,
- 6:52Speaker 1: so they're trying to push a narrative against her husband
- 6:56Speaker 1: as opposed to what does the data tell us. By
- 7:00Speaker 1: the way, this conversation about toylan ollen and pregnancy didn't
- 7:05Speaker 1: come out of nowhere. It came out of other studies
- 7:08Speaker 1: that they're looking at differently and addressing differently. Was it
- 7:11Speaker 1: I think released in a clumsy way? One could argue that,
- 7:15Speaker 1: But there is a basis for all of this. So,
- 7:20Speaker 1: I mean, she's Cheryl and I don't agree politically, neither
- 7:24Speaker 1: did Robert F.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Kennedy Junior and I.
- 7:26Speaker 1: But my gosh, she handled herself well there. Hey, we
- 7:30Speaker 1: know it's your husband, but let's talk about what a
- 7:33Speaker 1: moron he is and how wrong he is on everything.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Because we're two women on TV and we're experts. This
- 7:40Speaker 1: isn't the first time Whoopi Goldberg's been doing a fact
- 7:42Speaker 1: check and then got her stuff handed to her. And
- 7:45Speaker 1: Sonny Houston, I haven't played a view clip in a while,
- 7:50Speaker 1: and there's a reason, and I probably won't for a
- 7:53Speaker 1: while either.
