- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, am I going to get to listen to this
- 0:01Speaker 1: episode or do I need to join the Patreon?
- 0:04Speaker 2: I think you... I just remembered.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I still have a Patreon account that's been collecting dust.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Oh, but we should tell them about that. The fact
- 0:15Speaker 2: that this week is a Patreon episode and if you,
- 0:19Speaker 2: the rest of you people, were cool, you would be
- 0:23Speaker 2: supporting the show and be kicking in like, I don't know,
- 0:27Speaker 2: two bucks and then you can go and listen to
- 0:29Speaker 2: An awesome episode where we say amazing things like this.
- 0:34Speaker 2: To sort of ease in to the Stephen King world.
- 0:37Speaker 2: I believe somebody here has been reading thousands of pages
- 0:42Speaker 2: of Stephen King recently. Back in the olden days, before
- 0:47Speaker 2: there was Audible, them books on tape. I do remember
- 0:51Speaker 2: finding several of those that I liked. One of which, again,
- 0:56Speaker 2: wasn't a movie at the time. They did this really great, like,
- 1:00Speaker 2: I think they referred to it as like 4D sound
- 1:03Speaker 2: that was like not just reading, but an entire presentation
- 1:06Speaker 2: of the mist. Oh, cool.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I just love that he has corgis.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:13Speaker 1: He's like writing all this spooky stuff and he's got
- 1:15Speaker 1: these cute little fluffy dogs. I just like that he's
- 1:17Speaker 1: a Ramones fan.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Well, that's what I was going to say. The Corgis
- 1:21Speaker 2: almost balances out the fact that he has his own
- 1:23Speaker 2: rock band. Well, that too. Because what I've heard, it
- 1:27Speaker 2: sounds like the standard old guy rock band. So what
- 1:30Speaker 2: are you going to do?
- 1:31Speaker 1: He's so cute. He's just a dad. Oh, yeah. America's
- 1:35Speaker 1: creepy dad.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Just a dorky old creepy dad. That's what I wondered.
- 1:41Speaker 2: If they just brought a mowing crew out, would it
- 1:43Speaker 2: just keep growing after they... Because, I mean, we do
- 1:47Speaker 2: see it move and fix itself. When he's trying to
- 1:49Speaker 2: mark his way through, it starts untying itself.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Ooh, I did like that at one point, Becky stabbed
- 1:59Speaker 1: homeboy in the eyeball, and then later she stabbed him again,
- 2:03Speaker 1: and I was like, was that in the other eyeball?
- 2:07Speaker 2: At the time, I remember thinking... Did she mean to
- 2:10Speaker 2: dress as The Rock or did she just realize she
- 2:12Speaker 2: was wearing the same? Yeah, I kind of, when I
- 2:14Speaker 2: first saw it, I was like, did you just show
- 2:15Speaker 2: up for work? And went, wait, am I The Rock?
- 2:19Speaker 2: First of all, I was super excited because I'm like,
- 2:21Speaker 2: Victoria Justice. Because obviously, yes, I know who Victoria Justice is.
- 2:25Speaker 1: That sounds amazing. Stupid. Yeah, I don't think there was.
- 2:30Speaker 1: It doesn't have anything relevant to the grass or anything.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I thought maybe it did, but. She lacks reading. I
- 2:36Speaker 1: don't know. Maybe there's subtext in Jane Eyre I never
- 2:38Speaker 1: picked up on. There's like some crazy lady in the
- 2:40Speaker 1: grass who was married to the alien guy and then
- 2:42Speaker 1: he put.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Her in a closet.
- 2:43Speaker 1: This whole book is about staying out of fields. I
- 2:45Speaker 1: never knew that.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Jane Eyre eats her own baby.
- 2:48Speaker 1: What the hell? I missed this chapter. There ain't no
- 2:51Speaker 1: tall grass in the English moors. Only shrubberies. Just werewolves.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Right, that's a different one.
- 2:59Speaker 1: If I'm in the middle of nowhere on a road trip,
- 3:02Speaker 1: hear a child screaming in a field for help, Another
- 3:05Speaker 1: random child with the same voice comes out of a
- 3:07Speaker 1: church all dirty and weird and yells at me not
- 3:10Speaker 1: to go in that field.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I'm not putting him in my car.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I'm knocking him down and driving off, but he's not
- 3:17Speaker 1: getting in that car with me. It's about an industrial
- 3:22Speaker 1: laundry ironing folding machine that gets possessed and sucks in
- 3:26Speaker 1: people and they come out folded like a shirt. What
- 3:31Speaker 1: was the deal with the bowling alley?
- 3:34Speaker 2: I mean, at some point, was that like a note
- 3:37Speaker 2: from somebody up there? Producers were just like, enough with
- 3:39Speaker 2: this field, man. Like, can we go in a building
- 3:43Speaker 2: or something? Your dreams almost came true.
- 3:48Speaker 1: But who is that for? Because who saw that movie?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Why is it worth this much trouble for something that
- 3:57Speaker 2: nobody saw? Patrick Wilson is being creepy right now. That's
- 4:02Speaker 2: what he always does.
- 4:06Speaker 1: And once Freddy escaped, I'm like, I don't feel like
- 4:08Speaker 1: I need to watch the rest of this movie. This
- 4:11Speaker 1: is my happy ending.
- 4:13Speaker 2: My hero is happy now. So I turned it off.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Anything after that, I have no idea what you guys
- 4:18Speaker 1: are talking about. I can do two bucks. It's not
- 4:23Speaker 1: so bad. It's half of what I paid.
- 4:27Speaker 2: For this cup of coffee. This cup of coffee. Gladly.
- 4:30Speaker 2: From Honey Brothers, which all of you should go and support.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Get some coffee. That's right.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Coffee and supporting this show. That's all you need. Just
- 4:42Speaker 2: go get coffee and kick in two bucks. I'm thinking
- 4:46Speaker 2: of cool stuff we can make. I'll put some extra tiers. Yeah,
- 4:51Speaker 2: we can work on that. We can get you cool
- 4:52Speaker 2: gifts for being part of the club. Not everybody gets
- 4:55Speaker 2: to be a Melketeer, so if you're cool enough to
- 4:59Speaker 2: be in the Melketeer Horror Club, we'll come up with something.
- 5:03Speaker 2: So anyway, go to MovieMeltdown.com, support the show, become a Melketeer.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Damn them, man. Save the Meltdown.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Thank you.
