Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: In the world of rules in gray areas, one morning
- 0:04Speaker 1: show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Is it illegal for a child to wear that much makeup?
- 0:09Speaker 2: Is it legal?
- 0:11Speaker 3: I understand, I understand it's funny as all get out,
- 0:13Speaker 3: but is it even legal?
- 0:14Speaker 1: On Big ninety eight point seven?
- 0:18Speaker 4: And you know what this is for little Timmy or
- 0:21Speaker 4: little Sarah riding in the car this morning? And I
- 0:24Speaker 4: bet there's a parent who has used this today. Do
- 0:27Speaker 4: you remember when you were a kid in the back
- 0:29Speaker 4: seat and you'd flip on the dome light for half
- 0:31Speaker 4: a second and immediately it was.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Turn that off. It's illegal.
- 0:37Speaker 5: Yes, When I.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Was young and my dad would do that, I thought
- 0:39Speaker 4: we were about to get pulled over by a swat
- 0:41Speaker 4: team because I was looking for a French fry or
- 0:43Speaker 4: whatever toy I needed that fell in the seat. Like
- 0:46Speaker 4: every parent in America was apparently also a part time
- 0:50Speaker 4: state trooper. Is how often they would yell at us
- 0:54Speaker 4: for that When we had the domelight on, you'd think,
- 0:56Speaker 4: like the second it was on, immediately you turn around
- 1:00Speaker 4: and you're looking for the red and blue lights. Well,
- 1:03Speaker 4: this is for you, little Timmy or Sarah, Your mom
- 1:06Speaker 4: or dad is fibbing and I'm sorry, parents, I'm snitching
- 1:10Speaker 4: on you here today. As an adult, you know, you
- 1:12Speaker 4: finally start driving and you get to a point where
- 1:15Speaker 4: you look this up, you're like, wait, something's afoot here.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Okay, I feel like I've been led astray.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Well, it is not illegal, obviously to drive with the
- 1:26Speaker 4: domelight on. It's just very annoying for mom or dad
- 1:29Speaker 4: if they're driving. So this whole time, your parents, they're
- 1:31Speaker 4: not protecting us from the law. They were just protecting
- 1:35Speaker 4: themselves from being distracted while they were trying to read
- 1:38Speaker 4: street signs in the dark.
- 1:39Speaker 6: See, that might as well be illegal.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I think you're right.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Yeah, Well, honestly, it's a very solid parenting bluff. But
- 1:47Speaker 4: little Timmy or little Sarah, if that dome light comes on,
- 1:51Speaker 4: rest assured you're not getting pulled over immediately.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Even though I was lied to about this as a child,
- 1:56Speaker 3: now that I'm a parent and I drive them, sometimes
- 2:00Speaker 3: I have perpetuated this lie. And I know that right
- 2:03Speaker 3: about now, my man Mikey is driving my little Liam
- 2:09Speaker 3: to school right now and they listen to Big ninety
- 2:11Speaker 3: eight point seven. Great, thanks for snitching on me, Gabe.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Celebrating life's little victories every morning. We practice gratitude on
- 2:23Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven. If I could, I would
- 2:26Speaker 1: keep this feeling in a basket job busted out when
- 2:29Speaker 1: it was someone's acting hard. Share your little victories with
- 2:32Speaker 1: us at seven oh one two eight oho one ninety
- 2:35Speaker 1: eight seven.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Kids, I also needed to win that day.
- 2:39Speaker 4: And Angie, do you have a little victory for us
- 2:42Speaker 4: here on this Thursday?
- 2:43Speaker 6: I sure do.
- 2:44Speaker 3: I was a little later getting to the building than
- 2:47Speaker 3: I wanted to be, but it's because I had to
- 2:50Speaker 3: stop and get myself a fresh batch.
- 2:53Speaker 6: Of fridge cigarettes now are not real.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Cigarette No, Honestly, I think.
- 2:59Speaker 6: Maybe we should call them fridge vapes.
- 3:01Speaker 3: So diet coke is often referred to as a fridge cigarette.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I had never heard that until you shared that.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Oh really yeah, So if you're not smoking, but you're
- 3:11Speaker 3: taking a diet coke break, that's your fridge cigarette. I, however,
- 3:14Speaker 3: drink coke zero, So I feel like there has to
- 3:17Speaker 3: be a different name, fridge vape.
- 3:19Speaker 5: Maybe.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Uh.
- 3:20Speaker 3: In any case, I don't smoke or vape, but I
- 3:23Speaker 3: do consume a lot of coke zero, and I had
- 3:25Speaker 3: run out and every day at six thirty, you and
- 3:29Speaker 3: I pop open our energy drinks at the same time.
- 3:32Speaker 5: And my energy drink is a Coke zero.
- 3:34Speaker 3: So I stopped on the way to work and I
- 3:37Speaker 3: got myself a fresh batch of fridge vapes.
- 3:41Speaker 5: And I'm very excited. I'm super stoked to just.
- 3:44Speaker 4: The yeah, yeah, well, congratulations to you. It sadly has
- 3:49Speaker 4: become kind of part of our morning routine. We do
- 3:51Speaker 4: that at six thirty. We do that because they say
- 3:53Speaker 4: you should wait, you know whatever. It is an hour
- 3:56Speaker 4: forty five minutes before you have any kind of caffeine
- 3:59Speaker 4: after you wake up in the morning, so we force
- 4:02Speaker 4: ourselves to wait until six point thirty.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Here on the eight point seven, I thought that was.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Just a nice round time because I've been had two
- 4:09Speaker 3: cups of coffee already.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Here.
- 4:12Speaker 6: What about you, Gabe, what's your little victory?
- 4:14Speaker 4: My little victory. I spent some time at gate City
- 4:16Speaker 4: Bank yesterday. I was at the location in more Head
- 4:20Speaker 4: off of eighth that's kind of by the Taco Bell.
- 4:22Speaker 2: And I will tell you this right now. When Gate City.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Bank does their this promotion where if you open up
- 4:28Speaker 4: a new business or personal checking account, I'm usually there
- 4:32Speaker 4: for that event. Yes, they have got the best chocolate
- 4:36Speaker 4: chip cookies in the history of chocolate chip cookie Land.
- 4:40Speaker 4: And I housed two of those bad boys at Gate
- 4:43Speaker 4: City Bank yesterday. And when I got home and my
- 4:46Speaker 4: wife got home, she was like, oh, I saw you
- 4:48Speaker 4: had some cookies today. You didn't care to bring me one?
- 4:51Speaker 4: And I was like, well, I did, but I ate it. Yay,
- 4:56Speaker 4: I'm sorry, Correy, I ate your child. I couldn't help it.
- 4:59Speaker 4: You know, it might have gone stale by the time
- 5:01Speaker 4: she got home.
- 5:02Speaker 5: I guess you just wanted to eat two cookies.
- 5:04Speaker 2: One thousand.
- 5:13Speaker 4: That's a little smells like teen spirit for like it.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Is there any teenage slang you have learned recently? Angie?
- 5:21Speaker 4: Sadly you are my resident teen slanguage.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Expert. Yeah, expert? What's the translator?
- 5:31Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, I'll take that.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Is there any teen slang though that you have still
- 5:36Speaker 4: not really understood what it meant? You do have a
- 5:39Speaker 4: fifteen year old teenager in your house, so I'm sure
- 5:42Speaker 4: you are just riddled with slang left and right.
- 5:45Speaker 2: And you hang out with me a lot.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I try to get the scoop on what things mean.
- 5:52Speaker 3: He taught me choppel ganger, yeah, which is someone who
- 5:55Speaker 3: looks like you, but they're chopped, and chopped means they
- 5:59Speaker 3: not great.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Yeah, so I know that.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Gosh, oh, he uses appreciate apreciate, which is like.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I appreciate, it's just shortening it.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, okay, and then or sometimes he'll say preshe
- 6:14Speaker 3: that also means appreciate you. But I've had to ask,
- 6:17Speaker 3: like what do these things mean? But I'm trying to
- 6:19Speaker 3: I don't have any that come top of mind because
- 6:22Speaker 3: I feel like I've made him explain everything.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Let us know this morning.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Is there a slang term that your kid, your teenager,
- 6:34Speaker 4: your son, your daughter uses that Honestly, you really kind
- 6:38Speaker 4: of still don't understand there is like I have never
- 6:42Speaker 4: understood the shortening of a word, and now we call
- 6:47Speaker 4: it slang. I mean really, it's just kind of lazy English, right,
- 6:49Speaker 4: like presche there's nothing wrong with you.
- 6:52Speaker 5: It literally means shortened language, does it really?
- 6:55Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:55Speaker 4: Oh my, well, there we get a lang slang. I
- 6:59Speaker 4: learned something new. I thought slang was when you just
- 7:02Speaker 4: changed something to make it sound.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Fun, but that it's evolved into that too, right, Yeah,
- 7:07Speaker 3: all right, well, let us know here this morning on
- 7:09Speaker 3: Big ninety eight point seven, and we do have Ricky
- 7:11Speaker 3: on the phone.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Ricky, what do you think, Mayre, what's the slang term
- 7:14Speaker 2: for you?
- 7:14Speaker 1: I have no idea what skibbity means, not a clue.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I've heard people say it, and I know there's something
- 7:20Speaker 1: called skibbity toilet, but I have no idea what any
- 7:23Speaker 1: of that is.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I never have ever earned that.
- 7:25Speaker 3: I don't know what that that's one. But I don't
- 7:27Speaker 3: even think they know what it is.
- 7:29Speaker 2: They just say it.
- 7:30Speaker 3: They just say it. Because I've asked Aiden, He's like,
- 7:32Speaker 3: I don't know. They just say it's s gibbity. And
- 7:34Speaker 3: I'm like, but what does it mean?
- 7:36Speaker 5: What is it that lies? No one knows what it means.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Is it is it from a show or something?
- 7:43Speaker 3: Skibbity toilet is a show or I think, or something
- 7:47Speaker 3: on YouTube. But I don't know why people say skibbity.
- 7:50Speaker 3: And then there's skibbity ohio, which I never understood that either.
- 7:54Speaker 3: And again I asked Aiden. I was like, what is
- 7:56Speaker 3: skivity ohio? He's like, I don't rely just say it.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Call me old fashioned.
- 8:01Speaker 5: But when we were coming up with slaying, we knew
- 8:04Speaker 5: what it meant.
- 8:04Speaker 2: That's right, this is a very weird old moment.
- 8:08Speaker 4: If you're riding with your son or daughter in the car,
- 8:11Speaker 4: if you have a little Timmy or little Sarah in
- 8:13Speaker 4: the car with you, can you ask him what skibbity
- 8:15Speaker 4: is and text it to us in seven oh one
- 8:17Speaker 4: to eight zero Because we don't know, Miranda, what about you?
- 8:21Speaker 1: I still don't fully get its giving, like giving what
- 8:25Speaker 1: a gift.
- 8:26Speaker 4: A vibe, a headache?
- 8:27Speaker 1: Just just finish the sentence, please, I know.
- 8:32Speaker 4: I know everyone says it. I know it's a I
- 8:35Speaker 4: think it's like a Taylor Swift thing right now.
- 8:37Speaker 5: No, it's not. Oh my gosh, I.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Think that came from from Taylor Swift.
- 8:42Speaker 5: No it did not.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Please don't don't google this.
- 8:45Speaker 5: No, it's not.
- 8:46Speaker 3: It's it's been in the vernacular for a while and
- 8:49Speaker 3: it's definitely not Taylor Swift. The very first time I
- 8:52Speaker 3: heard it, I think, was on RuPaul's Drag Race.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Seasons and seasons ago.
- 8:57Speaker 3: It's like drag culture, black culture. They've been saying it's
- 9:01Speaker 3: giving forever. Don't you dare give Taylor Swift credit for that.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I'm blaming Taylor.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You know the thing that you're thinking about, but you're
- 9:11Speaker 1: too polite to say we got you.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Are you calling a Cody queen.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Dying on the hill of controversial opinion? So you don't
- 9:22Speaker 1: have to be This is sorry, not sorry. On Big
- 9:29Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven, I was scrolling.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Through my Instagram last night before bed.
- 9:35Speaker 5: And a meme popped up.
- 9:36Speaker 3: And this kind of meme pops up often on my feed,
- 9:41Speaker 3: and I think it's because the algorithm is trying to
- 9:43Speaker 3: enrage me. The Phil Collins led soundtrack for Tarzan, the
- 9:51Speaker 3: Disney movie.
- 9:52Speaker 5: Tarzan, the Animated Tarzan Movie.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Has a soundtrack courtesy of Phil Collins, and it is
- 9:59Speaker 3: absolute loot trash and I'm sick of all the memes
- 10:03Speaker 3: and all the people lying and acting like this soundtrack
- 10:07Speaker 3: is some sort of epic, amazing thing.
- 10:11Speaker 6: I hate it.
- 10:12Speaker 5: Take a listen to this.
- 10:13Speaker 4: You mean something like something like this, What is it?
- 10:21Speaker 5: This is trash banger? Oh it's a banger.
- 10:25Speaker 3: No it's not, absolutely no, it isn't It sounds like
- 10:29Speaker 3: you could hear this song on any kid's show. And
- 10:32Speaker 3: you know what, fine, it is a kid's movie. But
- 10:36Speaker 3: let's say what it is. It's just a mid af song.
- 10:41Speaker 5: For a Disney movie. That's soundtrack. They all sound the same.
- 10:45Speaker 3: You couldn't tell this song apart from any of the
- 10:47Speaker 3: other songs on the soundtrack.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Well after seven fifty on April twenty third, I bet
- 10:52Speaker 4: I sure could.
- 10:54Speaker 2: No, you could not.
- 10:55Speaker 3: This is it's the soundtrack that, for some reason, all
- 10:59Speaker 3: of these millennials have glommed on to us. That's the
- 11:02Speaker 3: most epic soundtrack for a cartoon ever. No, it isn't
- 11:06Speaker 3: You know what is the soundtrack to the Prince of Egypt.
- 11:10Speaker 3: It is criminally underrated. It wasn't a Disney cartoon, so
- 11:14Speaker 3: I feel like it didn't get as much love as
- 11:16Speaker 3: it should have. It's a dream Works.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I don't even know the movie you're talking.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Whether you're religious or not, This Prince of Egypt is
- 11:23Speaker 3: about Moses, Whether you're religious or not. That soundtrack that
- 11:27Speaker 3: is worthy of being called epic, that is worthy of
- 11:30Speaker 3: being called timeless.
- 11:31Speaker 2: And in fact, the Prince of Egypt did it right.
- 11:34Speaker 6: The Prince of Egypt did it right.
- 11:35Speaker 3: And you know what hit it, Gabe, I'm gonna give
- 11:38Speaker 3: you a taste.
- 11:59Speaker 4: I have no idea why this conversation came about, but
- 12:01Speaker 4: sometimes conversations between Angie and I make it to the
- 12:05Speaker 4: big ninety eight point seven Morning show. Here, we were
- 12:07Speaker 4: just randomly talking about our favorite words to use. I
- 12:12Speaker 4: use all the time, you don't say them every day.
- 12:15Speaker 3: I talked about at work, there are two doors to
- 12:18Speaker 3: get in, so there's the first door that leads into
- 12:20Speaker 3: the vestibule, and then there's a door to get inside
- 12:23Speaker 3: the building. And I said vestibule, and you said that
- 12:26Speaker 3: you love the word vestibraatele.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I love using vestibule when I can. Yeah.
- 12:31Speaker 4: And we were wondering this morning, is there a word
- 12:34Speaker 4: like that, a word that maybe you don't use every day,
- 12:36Speaker 4: or it's not super common, but you love it when
- 12:39Speaker 4: you get to drop that word bomb seven oh one
- 12:41Speaker 4: two eight zero one nine eight seven. Let us know
- 12:45Speaker 4: here this morning. This is also up on Facebook, of course, Angie,
- 12:47Speaker 4: do you have a word that you love to use
- 12:50Speaker 4: when you get the chance.
- 12:51Speaker 3: I actually saw that you posted this on Facebook yesterday,
- 12:54Speaker 3: and I commented as myself in.
- 12:56Speaker 5: Not using the big ninety point seven Facebook.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Oh you got it right, I got it right. I
- 13:01Speaker 3: love the word porta casheer.
- 13:04Speaker 4: All right, you gotta share the no.
- 13:08Speaker 6: No, but it does have to do with cars.
- 13:10Speaker 3: It's when like you're going up to a hotel or something,
- 13:13Speaker 3: and it's like the covering that extends out from the
- 13:16Speaker 3: roof of the building all the way out and over
- 13:18Speaker 3: and then cars drive under it.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Oh, it's like a big giant car awning. Yes, that, but.
- 13:24Speaker 3: It's called a port of casheer. But that's actually not
- 13:27Speaker 3: my favorite. My favorite I get to use today because
- 13:31Speaker 3: it is Thursday, and Thursday is the second to last
- 13:34Speaker 3: day of the work week, making it the penultimate day of.
- 13:39Speaker 2: The work week. Penultimate, pen ultimate.
- 13:42Speaker 3: It just is a fancy way of saying second to last.
- 13:46Speaker 5: And I love that.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Shannon loves when she gets to use the word bamboozled.
- 13:52Speaker 4: I suppose if you listen to this program every day,
- 13:55Speaker 4: you get to use that word a lot.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Holly said, betwixt is that slang? Is that a real word?
- 14:01Speaker 3: No, betwixt is a real word. I just don't know
- 14:03Speaker 3: what it means, so I need to look it up.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Ryan dropped this truth bomb on us here.
- 14:09Speaker 4: I believe this is said redress and it doesn't mean
- 14:14Speaker 4: to dress again, which is kind of cool.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Okay, I need to look this one up too.
- 14:18Speaker 4: Amy Caddy Wampus justin juxtapos.
- 14:22Speaker 5: How do you say juxtapost?
- 14:24Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you.
- 14:25Speaker 4: I appreciate it. And then kayla with akoutrements. That's a
- 14:29Speaker 4: great word, like do you say it that way or
- 14:33Speaker 4: do you say I definitely have never said it that way.
- 14:36Speaker 4: I can barely read half of these. One another one
- 14:39Speaker 4: I love is when you get to use the word mezzanine.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Oh, I like feeling.
- 14:44Speaker 4: That word got a little popular when the Maclamore song
- 14:47Speaker 4: came up or came up.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Or mezzanine in it.
- 14:50Speaker 4: But this one I learned from actually a boss we
- 14:54Speaker 4: have here at Big ninety eight point seven in radio
- 14:56Speaker 4: FM media that I have used. And my wife rolls
- 14:59Speaker 4: her eyes because I feel like I'm so smart when
- 15:02Speaker 4: I use the word thoroughfare.
- 15:05Speaker 5: I have never heard that such.
- 15:07Speaker 2: A good word.
- 15:08Speaker 4: A thoroughfare is a road or path forming a route
- 15:12Speaker 4: or route between two places. So when there's like a
- 15:16Speaker 4: lot of snow here in the FM area, the snow
- 15:20Speaker 4: plow drivers and understandably so, kind of focus on the
- 15:23Speaker 4: main thoroughfares before they get to the side streets.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Yabe, You've never seemed smarter.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I like it.
- 15:37Speaker 4: There are ten things from the two thousands that are
- 15:40Speaker 4: now collectible and valuable, which is disgusting, actually kind of heartbreaking. Yeah,
- 15:47Speaker 4: for example, we don't need to get through all ten.
- 15:49Speaker 4: But like, if you have any Pokemon cards, I think
- 15:52Speaker 4: right now that's pretty obvious. But Pokemon cards, if your
- 15:56Speaker 4: old collection has any unexpected rare gems worth a bunch
- 16:00Speaker 4: of money right now. I had Pokemon cards growing up,
- 16:03Speaker 4: I had tons of them, but I don't think I
- 16:04Speaker 4: ever had one worth anything.
- 16:05Speaker 3: I still have some, and I have a holographic Venisaur.
- 16:08Speaker 3: I'm such a nerd that I should probably look into
- 16:11Speaker 3: and see if it's worth anything.
- 16:13Speaker 4: This one is a bit surprising, but kind of not
- 16:15Speaker 4: because we have seen part of this gain and popularity
- 16:18Speaker 4: over the past couple of years here. But physical media
- 16:22Speaker 4: is booming once again. CDs, vinyls, Blu rays, DVDs, they're.
- 16:27Speaker 2: All kind of making a bit of a comeback.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Like, for example, if you have an old copy of
- 16:32Speaker 4: the Matrix, it might be worth a little bit of
- 16:35Speaker 4: money right now on DVD.
- 16:37Speaker 5: Okay, so this is.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Not making me feel too terrible as long as we're
- 16:40Speaker 3: getting money out of it. Because I have like an
- 16:42Speaker 3: original Aladdin VHS tape that has that well, I'm not
- 16:46Speaker 3: gonna say it's not safe for work. Like little moment
- 16:50Speaker 3: in the original Aladdin. Yeah, the DHS tape and I
- 16:53Speaker 3: have one of those. Okay, I'm feeling pretty good, all.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Right, I just have a couple more for you here, Angie.
- 16:58Speaker 4: iPods, Believe it or not, kids these days think old
- 17:02Speaker 4: iPods are super hip. It's kind of crazy how everything
- 17:06Speaker 4: just kind of is fullser it all just comes quick,
- 17:08Speaker 4: everything just comes back. Around iPhones, they can be really
- 17:11Speaker 4: valuable if they're still sealed, which would be kind of strange.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I would assume you would have used the phone you had.
- 17:17Speaker 4: And then finally, t shirts, tour jackets, other stuff from
- 17:21Speaker 4: bands and artists. If you have an n Sync concert
- 17:25Speaker 4: merched tea laying around from the two thousands, it might
- 17:28Speaker 4: be worth some money right now.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Okay, this doesn't make me feel so bad about being
- 17:32Speaker 3: an old broad because now I have some things that
- 17:34Speaker 3: are coming back.
- 17:36Speaker 4: We kind of found this out here this morning, which
- 17:38Speaker 4: is interesting because we just talked about old media. But
- 17:41Speaker 4: Angie and I also learned today Spotify, that thing you
- 17:44Speaker 4: share your Spotify wrapped at the end of every year.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Spotify is now twenty years old.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Now, why did you bring that up? I was in
- 17:52Speaker 3: a good mood. Why did you bring that up? That
- 17:55Speaker 3: Spotify is twenty years old. That actually makes me feel terrible.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Ball Would it make you feel better if I said
- 18:02Speaker 4: it was two decades old? Two decades No, I think
- 18:10Speaker 4: Angie just jumps out the window.
- 18:14Speaker 5: I need some good.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 18:21Speaker 1: good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 18:24Speaker 4: If you love books or just love a good deal,
- 18:26Speaker 4: this is pretty cool and it's happening right here in
- 18:28Speaker 4: the FM area. For the first time ever, Metro Libraries
- 18:32Speaker 4: are hosting a used book sale crawl to celebrate National
- 18:37Speaker 4: Library Week.
- 18:37Speaker 2: From now through Saturday.
- 18:39Speaker 4: You can stop by libraries in Fargo, West Fargo, and morehead,
- 18:42Speaker 4: grab a punch card and make it a little adventure.
- 18:45Speaker 4: You can hit at least one library in each city
- 18:48Speaker 4: and you'll be entered to win some great prizes, including
- 18:51Speaker 4: gift cards to local favorites and even a Visa gift card.
- 18:56Speaker 2: All generally used.
- 18:58Speaker 1: We get donations, and we also get discards from the
- 19:02Speaker 1: library that we sell.
- 19:04Speaker 4: That was Perry Beckerus, the bookstore manager at the Fargo
- 19:07Speaker 4: Public Library. And the best part, every book you buy
- 19:09Speaker 4: helps fund the library programs and events that happen right
- 19:13Speaker 4: here in our community. If you are supporting your local library,
- 19:16Speaker 4: you're scoring some cheap books. You might possibly be winning
- 19:18Speaker 4: some prizes. I'd call out a win win, win win.
- 19:21Speaker 5: This is so cute.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I'm so glad that you told me about this, because
- 19:25Speaker 3: now I know what my plans.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Are exactly right.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Love the don't forget my favorite quote, broken crans. They
- 19:32Speaker 4: still color. And the world is full of nice people.
- 19:34Speaker 4: If you can't find one, you gotta be one.
