- 0:04You think you're in a networking group? Just
- 0:08another part of the ecosystem. My ecosystem.
- 0:14Beginning, middle, end to end. Down here in the
- 0:21water, you're either a prey, a predator, or you're
- 0:30just getting hungry. Do you know your role? Most
- 0:39of y 'all can't even identify your role. Whether
- 0:44that be in the ecosystem, on the team, at the
- 0:47job. Some of the things are even worse. A parasite.
- 0:58A lot of y 'all come around as sucker fish. Latching
- 1:05on to the side of the sharks. People that save
- 1:08you. Not in plain sight. Never missing a meal.
- 1:18Because you get to feed off everything else.
- 1:24But you're always in the picture though. In the
- 1:28frame. So you're going to get seen. And then
- 1:33you also will get passed around because you got
- 1:36that free ride. This is just my honest and honest.
- 1:41Brown version. It's yours. Hit the link in the
- 1:47bio, DM, send an email, do what you got to do
- 1:50to get yours. Just make sure you see it. But
- 1:57back to business. Some people don't even see
- 2:00them. But somehow they're still getting the benefit
- 2:04of all the work that's being put in. You wonder
- 2:11why everything feels so heavy or why you feel
- 2:15like you're slowing down. Look at your luggage.
- 2:22Look what you're carrying in your bag. Do you
- 2:27need to pack it and take it with you on this
- 2:28trip? But you need to leave it at home. You need
- 2:35to buy a new pair and replace it. That's why
- 2:40you're tired. Feeling like you're stuck. That's
- 2:45because you got, well, underwater, you got sucker
- 2:49fish. Leeches are in the water too. Another term,
- 2:54we call them bums. Whatever you want to call
- 2:56it, just make sure you don't have any on your
- 2:59skin. Take your arm. Shake your legs. Take it
- 3:05behind the ears. Everywhere you clean that. Some
- 3:09of y 'all ain't checking in the right spots.
- 3:15Get rid of the scavengers. It's time to cut the
- 3:18weight. It's time to let it go. Time to shave
- 3:22it off. The sharks are here. It's time to go
- 3:27deep. I am Sir Don. This is Milo Shenanigans.
- 3:33We're going swimming in a tank. Welcome to Milo
- 3:36Shenanigans. Where the takes are hot, the jokes
- 3:39are wild, and nothing is off limits. Quick disclaimer.
- 3:43Everything you hear is strictly opinion, personal
- 3:47perspective, or just flat out nonsense. We do
- 3:51not condone violence or violence behavior. Don't
- 3:54come for us. This is for entertainment purposes
- 3:57only. Not facts. Not legal advice. And definitely
- 4:01not safe for any sensitive ears. So buckle up
- 4:04and let the shenanigans begin. Know your role.
- 4:10Your role in the ecosystem takes everything around
- 4:13you. Your energy. Your attitude. Your attention.
- 4:20Your distractions. Your purpose. Every ocean
- 4:27has sharks. Just like every room. Just like every
- 4:34room, there has to be somebody. There's going
- 4:37to be somebody smarter than you. Wiser than you.
- 4:41In every room, there's people that feed. There's
- 4:45people that attach. There's going to be people
- 4:48in rooms that are going to bleed to dry. Just
- 4:51like any shark. Smell blood in the water. The
- 4:55question becomes, which one are you? Where are
- 4:58you at? How do you avoid dripping blood into
- 5:08the water? Ask yourself that. Any sign of weaknesses
- 5:13include snitching, talking too loud, bringing
- 5:21attention to yourself, leaking information, telling
- 5:26the playbook, the wrong kind of attention. We've
- 5:30seen plenty of times in history where When you
- 5:34get attention brought to yourself, all the wrong
- 5:37eyes get put on you. On a plain sight, there's
- 5:43a cold, dangerous mug. But seeking validation
- 5:46instead of commanding respect, demanding respect,
- 5:50and earning respect. Just like when you move
- 5:53to a new house or a new apartment neighborhood
- 5:56or you get a new job, right? You got to fill
- 6:01out the environment. What's what? Who's where?
- 6:05Right? Some people might call it nosy. Some people
- 6:08call it paying attention. Right? Who's maybe
- 6:11in and out at this time? Right? If you're not
- 6:16aware, how can you be safe? New room, new surroundings,
- 6:19new opportunities for new business partners.
- 6:21The first thing you do when you walk into a room,
- 6:24yes, you speak, introduce yourself, let everybody
- 6:27know you're supposed to do your manners, but
- 6:30you be quiet and take a seat. just like classes
- 6:32like school just like at the beginning of the
- 6:35meetings we start to work find out what's going
- 6:37on pay attention listen here when we talked about
- 6:41being loud versus getting your results and speaking
- 6:47yes into existence but we're lying and revealing
- 6:51the playbook some of y 'all need the spy game
- 7:01But the further you go, the deeper you dive,
- 7:03the bigger the reward is. You don't level up
- 7:11to get a smaller piece. You don't take bigger
- 7:15risks and gamble more to go less. There also
- 7:21means there's bigger players around. People who
- 7:25aren't willing to take the same risk, if not
- 7:27a bigger risk than you. Right? Yes. The only
- 7:35person that should be stopping you is yourself.
- 7:39But the people that's been in the game longer
- 7:41have a bigger influence. Right? Maybe had a better
- 7:47gift to get. Right? Been around. Have a bigger
- 7:52following. A bigger networking group. Because
- 7:56they've been here. They've been there. and where
- 8:00you're trying to go. So when you have the knowledge
- 8:07and you got access to the doors, try to obtain
- 8:13the keys. Keep them. The more you can obtain,
- 8:17the more you can learn from the people around
- 8:19you. From a bigger circle, the better you'll
- 8:25be off. Being right is one thing, but being around
- 8:31people who have the experience can take you another
- 8:35level. A lot of people don't want to go deep
- 8:40into the water. It's dark. It's cold. Sometimes
- 8:44it gets lonely. Not willing to take the risk.
- 8:51But that's what a growth is. Getting uncomfortable
- 8:54to get comfortable. And acknowledging what you
- 8:58need to do to survive. Not just scrape it by.
- 9:03How many of us are trying to do that day by day,
- 9:06hour by hour, week by week, month by month? We
- 9:12got to take risks. You got to be willing to take
- 9:18the risks. Six months from now. Look at somebody
- 9:26who you haven't seen, haven't heard from. No
- 9:30updates on social media. Nothing bad happened
- 9:34to them. You might have seen them in passing
- 9:36or you might have maybe heard about something.
- 9:40Do you think they're hiding or are they putting
- 9:42in work? What I want everybody to do and start
- 9:46building is to make sure you have a support system.
- 9:49You can't do it out here by yourself. Start within
- 9:54you. You have to be the one to do it. But you
- 9:59got to have a support system. You got to have
- 10:01a team. You got to have somebody who you can
- 10:04look up to and give you that game. You got to
- 10:08have a mentor. You got to. Yeah, you putting
- 10:12in the work and you carrying all the weight.
- 10:15But I'm telling you, you got to have one or two
- 10:18people who you can call and say, hey, what should
- 10:21I do? I'm in this situation. It's not all going
- 10:23to look the same. But the goal is what matters
- 10:27you think it matters out here if you making all
- 10:30these noise making splashes in the water and
- 10:33Telling all your businesses for either attention
- 10:35I Think that's gonna put a pan over People are
- 10:40willing to help people who willing to help themselves,
- 10:42but it start with you, too You're not willing
- 10:49to put it in you're gonna see what's gonna come
- 10:53out It's just a matter of time. The tank. Think
- 11:04about the show Shark Tank. People step in. You
- 11:12got a line of sharks, right? Known as a group
- 11:16of people who are heavy hitters, knowledgeable,
- 11:20and have resources. It can put you in a position
- 11:24right where you need to go. The person stepping
- 11:29into the tank, their job is just to talk fast.
- 11:36Their job is to listen to what the sharks are
- 11:40offering. Yes, they're pitching the idea because
- 11:43obviously they have to introduce to what the
- 11:45sharks need to know what they're coming into.
- 11:50But these people have more influences, more in
- 11:52reach, and can do things that you haven't done.
- 12:00You're not going to persuade a shark based on
- 12:03how slick you are. Are you actually listening
- 12:07to what's being offered? There are going to be
- 12:11some deals that are better than others for different
- 12:13reasons. Are you taking the deal for comfort
- 12:19or profit? What is your decision? Gain, wisdom,
- 12:34and familiarity are all a calculated choice.
- 12:42But the one who wins and the one that's direct,
- 12:46they know exactly what they want. Not guessing.
- 12:58If you're evaluating your company at $100 million,
- 13:03and you're asking for 10%, what does that look
- 13:09like for that shark? Make it make sense for them.
- 13:14And you only got $10 ,000 in sales in two years.
- 13:22Yeah. Okay. The best presentation doesn't always
- 13:27win, right? You can have all these theatrics,
- 13:31right? Have all these flying things, all these
- 13:36colors, right? Being loud doesn't make you right
- 13:40either. Something you are surely had to learn
- 13:43yourself. But understand also what's being offered
- 13:48and knowing exactly what you need to get to the
- 13:51move that needs to be made. Because if you don't
- 13:55know, the move that needs to be made you're never
- 13:58going to move you're never going to get the support
- 14:01that you need you're going to be stuck right
- 14:03where you're at so you better think quick plan
- 14:08and execute that's the move don't look at a shark
- 14:13always as that competitor the person that's going
- 14:18to help you and level up is going to be one too
- 14:20and what position is that going to put them in
- 14:24Drop in the comments if you know this. What's
- 14:28the real purpose of seeking the validation in
- 14:31the room full of sharks? The answer is nothing.
- 14:33You miss everything being offered in a moment
- 14:36that you can't be quiet and start reacting. If
- 14:41you take everything from a surface level, you'll
- 14:43never understand what needs to be planted for
- 14:47it to grow. Think about that. You seek validation
- 14:51if you ever went into a job interview. You seek
- 14:55validation if you ever went on a date and tried
- 14:58to court somebody. You seek validation if somebody
- 15:01else had to make a decision on the outcome that
- 15:05you wanted to reach. It's not easy to spot what's
- 15:11out of place on the surface. Right? That's why
- 15:16some of us prefer to move in the dark with the
- 15:19lights off. It's hard to miss a shadow during
- 15:24the day. That night, that's all you see. Who's
- 15:28hiding there? Who's the villain there? You were
- 15:31warned. Before you walk through that door, before
- 15:37you take a step on any beach, any open water,
- 15:43when you walk into buildings, what's in there?
- 15:47They have signs, what they allow, what's permitted.
- 15:50What's not permitted, you take the risk. Every
- 15:53time you step in there, you're unprepared. You
- 15:56got to be ready for that. So with that being
- 15:58said, even with precautions, even with the right
- 16:05tools, you can still get got out of here. And
- 16:09what I mean by that, let's slow it down. Don't
- 16:12be the biggest, loudest target near the surface.
- 16:16Anybody that goes fishing, they got a nice piece
- 16:19of bait. They know that's how to get them. snatch
- 16:24them right up. So this is a note you need to
- 16:27take. Not everybody gets an invitation to get
- 16:30to the room, to the dinner, to the outing. So
- 16:37when you get there, take it all in. Not everyone
- 16:39gets to bring a plus one that first neither.
- 16:42So that's why having that support system is important.
- 16:46That's why being able to carry the weight and
- 16:48being able to recognize that you can do it by
- 16:50yourself is important. It's going to feel real
- 16:53heavy at first. The heaviest it's going to feel.
- 16:56But it gets lighter every time you go through
- 16:58it. Build your armor up. Take them lessons. Learn
- 17:02from them. Adapt. You're supposed to. You don't
- 17:05have a choice. You wouldn't have got here if
- 17:08you didn't work for it. So applaud yourself for
- 17:11that. The wisdom that you need to get is no different
- 17:17than going down to the barbershop. There are
- 17:19plenty of things being discussed. Right? Whether
- 17:25that be their relationships. Right? How to be
- 17:29a better man. Father, son, brother. Business
- 17:34owner. A friend. People who've been there and
- 17:39done that before you've done it. Whether they're
- 17:42close to your age or not. Whether you're an OG.
- 17:49Right? An up. Right? Or a big bruh. But the game
- 17:56and insight, 100 % real. Don't be in a room just
- 18:01to be there. Make it purposeful. Make it purposeful.
- 18:05Make it purposeful. Everybody don't get the same
- 18:07opportunity that you got. So make the most of
- 18:10it. Don't pass it up. And don't count out the
- 18:14people that you think aren't where they're supposed
- 18:17to be. Your uncle, your auntie, stranger on the
- 18:20street. Who might stop and say something. If
- 18:23somebody's speaking, it's because they care.
- 18:25When the room goes quiet, that's when you should
- 18:28worry. Stop the bleeding. Every word you release
- 18:33carelessly, it's like a drop of blood. You don't
- 18:39need anybody to steal your blueprint. You hand
- 18:43in the right tool. You're going to study your
- 18:45patterns. Watch the game. Watch your tape. Right?
- 18:51You're going to learn your triggers. Right? And
- 18:56your tails. Just like those who play poker. The
- 19:00Texas Hold 'em. You gave them a play. That's
- 19:03on you. Everybody's watching. Everybody's watching.
- 19:08The difference is how close they are to you.
- 19:10Better to break it down. Right? That's why you
- 19:14have to learn your own patterns. Call yourself
- 19:17out. We'll feed you. What motivates you? How
- 19:22do you feed your circle? How do you keep the
- 19:25people around you in the position that they're
- 19:29in because of the position you're in? Silence,
- 19:33specifically for a shark. Safety, a form of power,
- 19:40not a sign of weakness. Knowing when to speak
- 19:43and when to move is a skill you have to develop,
- 19:47but you also have to know what it looks like.
- 19:51Because if you've never been introduced to it,
- 19:53you will never see it. Every time you panic,
- 19:56every time something goes wrong, every time you
- 19:59let fear run out your mouth, you're building
- 20:01your own downfall. So consider yourself the architect
- 20:04of that. So watch your energy. Watch what you
- 20:07speak to existence. So instead, let's start doing
- 20:11this. Speak confidence. Speak purpose. Align
- 20:18your words with where you're going. Period. If
- 20:22it doesn't match it, you need to let it go. I'm
- 20:26not saying some things can't be called out or
- 20:28realized. Right? But we're going to always get
- 20:34through it. We always have. Remember, you can't
- 20:40do this by yourself. But you're going to take
- 20:44the weight of it too. The water is deep. There's
- 20:54so many people out here cut from different material,
- 20:58from a different cloth, as they like to say.
- 21:04Some of y 'all are made of cotton. Some of y
- 21:07'all are made of polyester, twill, silk. The
- 21:16ecosystem needs all of it, right? It's different
- 21:26reasons for these different materials, whether
- 21:28you perform or not. People are using them. Some
- 21:31people find them beneficial. I'm not saying that
- 21:34they're the best and they all should be used.
- 21:37But it's a reason why it's all these different
- 21:39materials. And why some people perform over the
- 21:44other or have to use them over the other. You
- 21:49can break that down yourself. Now, I do want
- 21:55to. Be clear here. We're not talking about the
- 22:02unfortunate people who are literally what I'm
- 22:06saying to find us homeless. We're talking about
- 22:12the people who are your everyday people who are
- 22:16in society, who might have a job and different
- 22:19things who are feeding off people. They're in
- 22:24their proximity so they can better ahead themselves.
- 22:29That's what I'm referring to. We do need to clean
- 22:33up the homelessness around your city, locally,
- 22:35the country, right? The world. We have too many
- 22:47natural resources for people to be hungry. Y
- 22:56'all spending too much money on canceling moving
- 22:58these sites around for people to be homeless
- 22:59and hungry. The gas got raised too high for people
- 23:08to be hungry and homeless. There's too many malls
- 23:12for too many people to be hungry and homeless.
- 23:22We can go on forever about the shenanigans. You
- 23:30tell me which one you want me to address next
- 23:32to. But I'm going to go back. I'm going to address
- 23:38that too. But we're talking about the people
- 23:43that's intentionally feeding off a shark or somebody
- 23:48they can hide behind at the launch party. Because
- 23:55they know once you're gone, they can't keep up.
- 24:02You're talking about the people who don't give
- 24:04you any support or any investment. Just a free
- 24:11passage. The people that's always coming for
- 24:21you that you can't get the same thing in return.
- 24:26Whether that be financial or emotional support.
- 24:32or the uplifting you gotta watch the energy you
- 24:40keep the company you keep notice energy is first
- 24:47because what's around you can build you up and
- 24:54tear you down at the same time if you let it
- 24:56it's your job to manage that Your job to be aware
- 25:03of that. Are you doing this for the love of the
- 25:05game or the sake of the business? I'm not saying
- 25:09cut off your heart. I'm not saying not be generous.
- 25:16How can you take care of everybody else if you're
- 25:20not even taking care of you? This is my honest
- 25:25and endless. I'm just telling you the part that's
- 25:33mindless about the shenanigans and part that
- 25:35they fucking with you. You fall off, everybody
- 25:41going to fall off with you. All because you ain't
- 25:47maintaining yourself. So if you carrying all
- 25:50of this, you carrying all of that, and you falling,
- 25:55all that's going to fall too. So, be aware about
- 26:04the weight that you're taking on. Be aware about
- 26:09the energy that's around you that's being kept.
- 26:11Period. Point blank. Some people need to be a
- 26:18little bit more selfish. Not cold. Not mean.
- 26:25Just intentional. Running out of breath because
- 26:33you're carrying a weight that was never yours
- 26:36to carry. Know the difference. You cannot carry
- 26:44what is not aligned with your purpose and your
- 26:47goals. Period. You let people live off you and
- 26:59they will. And you know exactly who I'm talking
- 27:04about. How many people you know are writing your
- 27:10name based off the introductions that you gave?
- 27:13Taking the extra tickets and seats that you worked
- 27:17hard to earn. Spending all of your energy without
- 27:24adding to it. How are you going to drain me but
- 27:29not plug me in either? So at the same time, you're
- 27:36doing it for the table. They're doing it for
- 27:40themselves. That's why they tagged that line.
- 27:46It calls to be the boss. You're going to pay
- 27:50the price of admission. You're going to carry
- 27:52all the weight. You're going to be the one that's
- 27:55responsible for the people that act up around
- 27:57you too. Just like anything else, run an experiment.
- 28:12Cut off the perks. Meaning all the things that
- 28:18are granted that comes with being around. Right?
- 28:22All the accommodations. Right? See how fast they
- 28:31get gone. If everybody cut gets smaller because
- 28:39things slow down, let's see how they react. Not
- 28:47because you're short, no. If things wish to ever
- 28:51actually dry up and you needed to go into the
- 28:55reserve, how's everybody else going to respond?
- 29:04A parasite always finds a new host. The question
- 29:11is, are you going to be the next one? Are you
- 29:14finally done being the host? You need to get
- 29:22a detox. Sometimes you got to stop intaking what
- 29:30you are. Might be hazardous to your health, mentally
- 29:36and physically. I'm telling you, you got to be
- 29:44aware. Know that there's between a competitor,
- 29:51a mentor, and a parasite. A mentor is deep in
- 29:58the game, deep in the water. Right? They've already
- 30:05walked a similar path that you've already been
- 30:10walking. And obviously everybody got different
- 30:12shoe sizes and wearing different brands of shoes,
- 30:15but they've walked a similar path and been through
- 30:18what you've been through. Right? So they can
- 30:21walk you through that. They made it this long,
- 30:24but just because they closed, don't confuse them
- 30:26for a leech now. So get out your emotions. Watch.
- 30:31Watch what people do, not just what they say.
- 30:38Watch what people do, not just what they say.
- 30:41One is loyal to the grind. One is loyal to the
- 30:44meal. You know which is which. Don't be a fool.
- 30:48Don't be a fool. A competitor is another shark,
- 30:52but you can partner with sharks too. A lot of
- 30:55y 'all out here hating because of insecurities.
- 30:58Collaboration is the power. Use it when it's
- 31:01right. the parasite only is loyal as long as
- 31:04you provide the cover and access like a sucker
- 31:07fish on the shark on your rib cage hiding underneath
- 31:11getting passed by because guess what if it wasn't
- 31:16on that i'm attached to there to get ate up right
- 31:18out the way but ain't nobody gonna with you because
- 31:23of who you're attached with you provide the cover
- 31:27and the access In the moment you try to go deep,
- 31:31deep, deep into the grind, everything comes to
- 31:33a pause. Everything comes to a stop. Sometimes
- 31:37it looks like they're moving with a purpose.
- 31:40Sometimes it's like they are moving mindlessly.
- 31:42That's because you haven't figured out their
- 31:44intentions yet. And if you don't know the people's
- 31:46intentions, the intentions, if you don't know
- 31:49the intentions of the people that surround you,
- 31:51you're going to end up drowning. You're going
- 31:53to end up stuck. Wondering why and how this and
- 31:56that happened. You better get ready to breathe.
- 32:01Apex. The moment you stop progressing, you start
- 32:07bleeding. The moment you seek validation about
- 32:12your struggles, for sympathy, or likes, you're
- 32:17basically pouring gallons of blood into the water
- 32:22in front of the sharks. And the piranhas too.
- 32:24People forget about that. They small, they dangerous.
- 32:31One of them, right? We know what a piranha is,
- 32:34but a whole bunch of them too. Now just think
- 32:40about this right here. Just think about this.
- 32:43For every splash, right? Or every emotional reaction,
- 32:47every display of weakness, you're drawing attention
- 32:51to yourself in the worst way. You won't be able
- 32:54to handle the weight that comes with it. Eventually.
- 32:58You're going to have to swallow whatever happened
- 32:59and get through it. I told you, plan, execute.
- 33:05Keep it inside. Get uncomfortable. There's going
- 33:14to be moments, it's going to feel like nothing
- 33:16is left. That's the exact moment you rise. That's
- 33:25the exact moment you don't quit. But it's not
- 33:31the moment to go loud. Using silence to avoid
- 33:37confrontation isn't strength either. Know the
- 33:41difference between what you fear and what you
- 33:47respect. A lot of y 'all confusing the two. For
- 33:57those who fear me. Well ask yourself why that
- 34:01is why that is for those who respect me Thank
- 34:10you, I earned that If you want me to be the villain
- 34:19I will Can be There's a lot of y 'all out here
- 34:32that's lazy. They want to claim you're doing
- 34:36too much. Working too hard. Because they can't
- 34:41put on the weight. That's why some of y 'all
- 34:45still clinging on. Like leeches. Like sucker
- 34:50fish. Crabs. Catfish. Or easy prey. Targeted
- 34:58and picked out daily. Sifu boils off the roof
- 35:03You were picked up as a crab or catfish shrimp
- 35:13Because you wonder you are going to see Somebody
- 35:21else appetite at your own expense real talk Some
- 35:32people think they already made it. And that's
- 35:36the problem. The ones who think they made it,
- 35:42get washed back up on the shore. Wasn't ready
- 35:44to swim out there. Pass right by, you stop learning,
- 35:53stop adapting, and stop holding themselves accountable.
- 36:01Age like wine, not milk. Every day I need to
- 36:09get better. Trying to get better. Trying to reach
- 36:14the apex. I mean, I got to self -audit myself.
- 36:22Making sure yesterday was better than the day
- 36:26before and last week. Today is better than yesterday.
- 36:31And plan for tomorrow where I missed that today.
- 36:38Otherwise, I'd be an ineffective out. And I'm
- 36:43trying to stay compliant. Checking my skills.
- 36:50I got to get better from last week, last month,
- 36:55last year. I always go back and forth about where
- 37:04I missed a step that. How did this? This would
- 37:08have happened. How did that? That's not regret.
- 37:13Just learning. Everything is a calculated risk.
- 37:23How many of you are even doing that? Right. You
- 37:32got to get better every day. And boy, I tell
- 37:38you, when I reach my apex, what are you doing
- 37:44to understand your position in the water? What
- 37:52is your position now? What is your role? How
- 37:59deep can you go? Are you the life jacket floating
- 38:04on the surface that's keeping somebody else above
- 38:09water? Or are you the submarines built for the
- 38:16pressure, operating where others can't go, others
- 38:22can't breathe? Are you prey? A scavenger? Or
- 38:33a shark. But one last thing. One last thing.
- 38:45Your last three business meetings. Or we'll call
