- 0:02Speaker 1: What is due to the graphic nature of this program,

- 0:23Speaker 1: this is the Woody Show. Insensitivity Training class is now
- 0:39Speaker 1: in session. A good morning, everybody. All right, Telly's Tuesday.
- 0:50Speaker 1: It is May nineteenth, twenty twenty six. Welcome. We are
- 0:55Speaker 1: the Woody Show, Woody, Greg Menace, Gina Grad, we got
- 0:58Speaker 1: Sea Bass, We've got Sammy Morgan is here, we got
- 1:02Speaker 1: von our video producer Dumbass, Tyler's here, Bort and Menji
- 1:05Speaker 1: are here. Phones are open eight seven seven forty four. Woodie,
- 1:09Speaker 1: you can set us a text over to two two
- 1:11Speaker 1: nine eight seven. We're talking tech today with rich DeMuro
- 1:14Speaker 1: rich on tech. Yeah, we just like the way that
- 1:17Speaker 1: he talks about tech. It's stuff that you could actually use,
- 1:20Speaker 1: apps and things that you should know about that you
- 1:22Speaker 1: might find entertaining or useful. But Richard does a really
- 1:25Speaker 1: good job of breaking it down to in a way
- 1:27Speaker 1: that even Greg can understand. That's pretty incredible, shocking. Yeah,
- 1:30Speaker 1: which is which is pretty good. It's pretty good. Plus
- 1:32Speaker 1: I got some of the trending news headlines. We get
- 1:34Speaker 1: into the entertainment stuff. Birthdays and Porto Birthday all on
- 1:37Speaker 1: the way here on the Woody Show. Yeah, are you
- 1:41Speaker 1: okay over there, Gina? Yeah, I thought, like for a
- 1:43Speaker 1: second it would it would go away. But almost every day, yeah,
- 1:48Speaker 1: every hour, there's like she's over there either coughing, sneezing fits.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I know, I just choked. He was like, yeah, no,
- 1:58Speaker 2: I just choked on my water.
- 1:59Speaker 3: That was that?
- 2:00Speaker 1: What that was? Okay? Because there's a lot of that
- 2:02Speaker 1: kind of coughing and the sneezing. I don't know, did
- 2:03Speaker 1: you have like some kind of like allergy or well,
- 2:07Speaker 1: it could be the puppy, but I feel good.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I'm a little bit it's a little bit itchy, but
- 2:15Speaker 2: otherwise I think I don't think it's hurt. I think
- 2:17Speaker 2: I'm just a weirdo psycho, you know that. Just accept it,
- 2:21Speaker 2: Just accept that I'm mentally ill.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Yeah, Greg, I think I might be allergic to not allergic,
- 2:29Speaker 1: but like you know, it just doesn't agree to me
- 2:31Speaker 1: to the point where I think I might have to
- 2:32Speaker 1: give it up. Like fetichini alfredo ya wow. Shrimp, Oh wow,
- 2:39Speaker 1: I love shrimp.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I just saw you shrimp.
- 2:42Speaker 4: What happened?
- 2:43Speaker 1: Because the last couple of times, especially that I've had shrimp,
- 2:47Speaker 1: it's just man, do I pay for it?
- 2:48Speaker 5: Oh?
- 2:49Speaker 4: Really?
- 2:49Speaker 1: Oh dude? And like not only like within a quick
- 2:52Speaker 1: amount of time between eating the shrimp and then having
- 2:55Speaker 1: like a blowout almost I would say, like within within
- 2:59Speaker 1: an hour. Within an hour, we're talking about all you
- 3:01Speaker 1: could eat shrimp just this thatast Friday night we were
- 3:06Speaker 1: at dinner. Menace was there. I got shrimp and grits
- 3:10Speaker 1: and same deal, man, yeah, same deal with it within
- 3:13Speaker 1: an hour of getting of getting back, uh you know
- 3:16Speaker 1: a lot of butter.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Then.
- 3:18Speaker 6: Yeah, it's disappointing because because normal shrimp allergies are classic
- 3:21Speaker 6: anaphylectic stuff.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Right, there's something digestive though with shrimp said, and not
- 3:25Speaker 1: not that that type of allergy, like when my throat's
- 3:28Speaker 1: closing up. It's just how some people just can't have
- 3:30Speaker 1: certain things it doesn't agree with digestively.
- 3:33Speaker 4: I think you could still keep eating it like I
- 3:35Speaker 4: like to have for dinner, salads or something boring and
- 3:37Speaker 4: healthy like that. And usually as I'm chewing my last
- 3:40Speaker 4: bite kind of running for the bathroom.
- 3:42Speaker 7: Gets the ze bound because with the z bound with
- 3:46Speaker 7: me popcorn, I can't do popcorn. It's too oily. I
- 3:49Speaker 7: feel super sick.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Really yeah, because there's other stuff that has butter in it.
- 3:55Speaker 1: There's other stuff that have like you know, oils or
- 3:57Speaker 1: things like that, and oil and anything. Problem.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Let's just have you have some like shrimp cocktail with
- 4:03Speaker 2: nothing on it.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I hope that's not it. I'm so good because man, trimp,
- 4:09Speaker 1: I mean, and I've never been a fan of shrimp cocktail.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Nothing cold, no cold like when people like like people think,
- 4:17Speaker 1: people think seafood towers look like really cool and stuff
- 4:20Speaker 1: they or those like the best. They look cool, and
- 4:25Speaker 1: I want to I want to be I want to
- 4:26Speaker 1: be into seafood towers the same way that I think
- 4:29Speaker 1: it would be cool to be into cigars, you know
- 4:33Speaker 1: what I mean, Like cigars and someone has like a
- 4:35Speaker 1: little like like a little glass of you know, like
- 4:38Speaker 1: an old scotch.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Yeah. See, there's certain things to be a cool old
- 4:42Speaker 4: dude like that. I like the idea of certain things
- 4:44Speaker 4: better than the actual things. And one of them might
- 4:46Speaker 4: partake in even though I don't enjoy it. Is the
- 4:49Speaker 4: occasional martini I very much don't enjoy, but I like
- 4:55Speaker 4: the ritual and the look what about it is it
- 4:59Speaker 4: is just harsh for you, maybe too strong?
- 5:03Speaker 1: Well, seafood towers. What else can you spend one hundred
- 5:05Speaker 1: fifty dollars on an appetizer?
- 5:06Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 5:07Speaker 1: It pretty.
- 5:08Speaker 2: It has pretty limes and steaming.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Sometimes I'm saying when they when they bring when they
- 5:13Speaker 1: bring them over, I'm like, oh that's cool. Yeah, and
- 5:15Speaker 1: I also feel not not bad, but because someone will
- 5:19Speaker 1: order and thinking like, oh.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Everyone will eat it.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, hell.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Are you gonna have any I go, No, we always
- 5:26Speaker 2: order one on our anniversary.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Take all the oysters, crab claws, and to put that
- 5:30Speaker 1: on my list with you know, poker, just kind of
- 5:33Speaker 1: manly stuff. If you had a.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Seafood tower and cigar while playing poker, you'd be the
- 5:37Speaker 2: ultimate dude.
- 5:38Speaker 4: I do.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I do, Like, yeah, I don't golf, I don't smoke cigars.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Who are you no seafood tower?
- 5:43Speaker 4: Right?
- 5:44Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 5:44Speaker 4: Don't try to stick?
- 5:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, because like Bert christ and I have been
- 5:49Speaker 1: talking about for a while now, he's like, you know,
- 5:53Speaker 1: hanging out and smoking cigars like the other words like
- 5:55Speaker 1: come over the house, hang out. Look, We're just gonna
- 5:58Speaker 1: hang out and chat and just you know, chill cigars,
- 6:02Speaker 1: you know, booze. Yeah, of course, I'm thinking, man, I'm
- 6:06Speaker 1: not gonna be able to smoke cigars. So why don't
- 6:09Speaker 1: you like cigars and make your head too swimmy? No,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I don't. I really don't enjoy the taste or whatever.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I don't, you know. I used to smoke cigarettes like
- 6:20Speaker 1: that was like high school age into like my very
- 6:23Speaker 1: early twenties. I smoked a lot and then felt like
- 6:26Speaker 1: garbage and then just quit it. Quitting cold turkey was
- 6:30Speaker 1: smoking a ton. Because anybody's worked at a radio station
- 6:33Speaker 1: or a blue collar job, that's all everybody does. Well,
- 6:36Speaker 1: especially back in the day, that was the big social thing,
- 6:39Speaker 1: which smoking. Yeah, like everybody would just hang around and smoke.
- 6:43Speaker 7: Yeah, but you could easily fake smoking cigars.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Well yeah, anywhere it's a waste. Yeah, but if you
- 6:50Speaker 1: want to.
- 6:50Speaker 7: Be cool, you want to pretend you're participating.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Even as a smoker, I got sick with cigars because
- 6:59Speaker 4: I would slightly inhale them it.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, drive a stick?
- 7:04Speaker 4: What's the point of puffing a cigar?
- 7:06Speaker 2: Have you ever driven a stick?
- 7:07Speaker 9: No?
- 7:07Speaker 1: I never had to, Wow, there's never I've never had
- 7:10Speaker 1: a need to. I'm sure I could. You haven't. Like
- 7:12Speaker 1: I figured out how to fly an airplane, I'm sure
- 7:14Speaker 1: I can figure out how to.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Get in the driver's seats.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I've just never never had to. I mean, learning it
- 7:21Speaker 1: is so embarrassing. Yeah, get anything else, you suck out
- 7:24Speaker 1: it until you're good at it. But when there's other
- 7:27Speaker 1: people around, yeah, people stuck. Yeah, I'm kind of freaking
- 7:31Speaker 1: out about this shrimp. Keep I'm gonna keep. I'm gonna
- 7:34Speaker 1: keep testing it. Every once in a while I'll see
- 7:36Speaker 1: something like like the the Fetchini Alfredo thing.
- 7:39Speaker 4: It's worth the pain.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's so I determined that, you know what, that
- 7:44Speaker 1: is no longer worth the pay. And sometimes I'll see
- 7:46Speaker 1: other things and I'll go, you know what, we're going in.
- 7:48Speaker 1: We're going in and we're gonna take a chance that
- 7:50Speaker 1: we're gonna pay for it.
- 7:51Speaker 2: You know what, the best meal in the world is
- 7:53Speaker 2: alfredo with shrimp on top.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Oh, that would be good, or something that you hear
- 8:00Speaker 1: with like a good cream sauce, anything with the word
- 8:04Speaker 1: cream in it.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I thought about the cream because there's always cream and
- 8:06Speaker 1: stuff and grits, you know, but because it was it
- 8:09Speaker 1: was a shrimp and grits thing. But it's been other
- 8:13Speaker 1: shrimp thing. That's what I'm saying. There's no the only
- 8:15Speaker 1: consistent part is the shrimp, the way it's prepared, the
- 8:19Speaker 1: way everything else around it, the other side of all
- 8:22Speaker 1: that has changed, But the consistent part is the shrimp.
- 8:25Speaker 7: Yeah that everyone else we had steaks.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I should have got the steak so good.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Damn it.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Do you have a thing that you can't have like
- 8:33Speaker 1: that just tears you up the immediately, Just pay for.
- 8:37Speaker 4: That one and done. Costcoat chicken salad that you recommended.
- 8:41Speaker 4: That was emergency sprinting breaks so good.
- 8:46Speaker 1: That's when most people drink vegetable les straight. No, I
- 8:51Speaker 1: exaggerate not. I was chewing the last bite running to
- 8:56Speaker 1: the bathroom. It went in my mouth and out my body.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Maybe because it was so good, Like, dude, this is
- 9:01Speaker 1: so good I was. I could feel bad, you know
- 9:03Speaker 1: what I mean? Maybe maybe that's what it was.
- 9:05Speaker 7: I don't have that kind of stuff where it causes diarrhea.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Sammy hot desserts.
- 9:10Speaker 10: Yes, I know. But you guys all say that it's
- 9:12Speaker 10: in my head.
- 9:13Speaker 1: So is the shrimp just in your head?
- 9:14Speaker 11: Would he?
- 9:15Speaker 1: Well?
- 9:15Speaker 6: I think Greg and I are saying that he's always
- 9:18Speaker 6: he's never eating it straight shrimp. He's always eating it
- 9:20Speaker 6: with grips or fried or in some kind of butter sauce.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Right, So it's everything else. It's not the shrimp, but
- 9:26Speaker 1: the only that's the only consistent.
- 9:28Speaker 6: You're not having it by itself. Yeah, it's always having
- 9:30Speaker 6: with all the things you put it to the test with.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Like Gina said, like a shrimp cocktail on.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Its own or just like barbecued shrimp.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Right, give it another chance.
- 9:39Speaker 2: But you're able to eat other fried things, right, like
- 9:41Speaker 2: fried chicken.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And other things. Are the things that are got like
- 9:44Speaker 1: heavy butter or like fine right shrimps, the butter.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Well, the one thing I can't eat really that would
- 9:53Speaker 2: make Greg suicidal ice cream live.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I know it's sad, and I see like I think
- 10:00Speaker 1: made they did for a while, they made like their
- 10:02Speaker 1: own brand of ice cream. Really Like I'm like, oh,
- 10:06Speaker 1: that's so sad. Yeah, you have to get that pretty
- 10:09Speaker 1: good eight seven four Wooding text us over to two

- 11:05Speaker 4: At this point, why don't we just all liquidate our
- 11:07Speaker 4: bank account and take the money and put it in
- 11:09Speaker 4: the fire.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I'm looking for real answers, So Woody Show. Speaking of money,
- 11:19Speaker 1: there's this guy that claims that he won millions in
- 11:23Speaker 1: the lottery eleven years ago and never told his family.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Really nice. Yeah, this is something on Reddit, so so
- 11:32Speaker 1: take it for what it's worth. Now, that'd be kind
- 11:35Speaker 1: of cool, possible the idea, because that's that's what ruins
- 11:38Speaker 1: things is when you know people they just come. They
- 11:42Speaker 1: come looking for stuff.
- 11:43Speaker 2: True money gets the way to hand out.
- 11:46Speaker 1: He quietly won millions in the lottery eleven years ago,
- 11:49Speaker 1: never told his family. I spent the years living as
- 11:52Speaker 1: though he was still broke. So he described the win
- 11:56Speaker 1: as surprisingly anti climatic way. That's the that's the first
- 12:00Speaker 1: way you knows, probably faith. His first splurge was a
- 12:04Speaker 1: forty eight dollars pore of his bourbon at a bar
- 12:07Speaker 1: where nobody knew him, and he said he sipped it slowly,
- 12:11Speaker 1: let himself absorb the reality, and then never ordered it
- 12:14Speaker 1: again because once money was no limit, the pleasure was gone.
- 12:18Speaker 4: That's what I always thought, Like if you're insanely rich.
- 12:21Speaker 1: But not that quick after, like you just won, you
- 12:24Speaker 1: had your first forty eight dollars pore of bourbon, and
- 12:27Speaker 1: you're like, you know what, that's over. I did it. It
- 12:29Speaker 1: takes a while to get bored. His most treasured purchase
- 12:32Speaker 1: was a four thousand dollars mattress Damn. He also owns
- 12:35Speaker 1: a leather chair that he lied to his mother about
- 12:38Speaker 1: an antique record player that he claims was from an
- 12:41Speaker 1: estate sale. He described the strategy as boring is the
- 12:45Speaker 1: play and said that you know, the pressure from family
- 12:48Speaker 1: and social circles is what, you know, financially destroys most
- 12:51Speaker 1: lottery winners. That's the part because then everybody says, oh,
- 12:54Speaker 1: you've got it, and they you know, can I some Yeah,
- 12:57Speaker 1: you don't know, like who's just being cool because they're cool,
- 13:00Speaker 1: and who's just there for a handout.
- 13:02Speaker 2: So he basically laundered his own money.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Yeah, he said. Yeah, he's sharing the story now because
- 13:06Speaker 1: it feels stupid to keep doing it alone.
- 13:07Speaker 10: It's weird.
- 13:09Speaker 5: You know.
- 13:09Speaker 1: If you have everything kind of set up and you
- 13:11Speaker 1: put things in trusts or wherever you want to keep
- 13:13Speaker 1: the money, then who cares who you tell? Because a
- 13:15Speaker 1: lot of time you.
- 13:16Speaker 4: Go, well, you know what it's it's not liquid, Yeah.
- 13:18Speaker 1: It's yeah, it's not like carrying it around, right exactly.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I can't just dig into it set up in these
- 13:23Speaker 1: trusts and things like that.
- 13:24Speaker 4: I could never imagine not telling my parents though, like
- 13:28Speaker 4: good news like that. That's the first people I wanted.
- 13:30Speaker 7: To be honest, I would only tell one person in
- 13:32Speaker 7: my family. That would be my grandmother. That would be
- 13:35Speaker 7: the only person I trust.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Would because what she need, you know, I man his
- 13:39Speaker 1: money from medications and stuff. That's what old people spend
- 13:42Speaker 1: their money on.
- 13:44Speaker 7: The like super financial responsible person in my life. My
- 13:51Speaker 7: uh and like she's done like the whole mailbox money
- 13:55Speaker 7: thing her entire life with real.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Estate, with real estate. Yeah nice, so she's smart, oh
- 14:00Speaker 1: yeah man. And then you don't get crazy with your lifestyle,
- 14:03Speaker 1: so you have to have even more to afford your
- 14:06Speaker 1: lifestyle when you get to a retirement. See, I think
- 14:09Speaker 1: the key is you keep your lifestyle manageable. You live
- 14:13Speaker 1: below your means your entire time, right, and you save
- 14:18Speaker 1: and you invest in for one case, and things like
- 14:20Speaker 1: that to get it to where your investments for whatever
- 14:23Speaker 1: that will end up making it so you can live
- 14:25Speaker 1: off of X number of dollars per year is based
- 14:28Speaker 1: on your current lifestyle. Knowing you have way more because
- 14:31Speaker 1: you live so wildly below your means even with investments
- 14:34Speaker 1: and things like that, then you can ball. Is that
- 14:36Speaker 1: what they say?
- 14:37Speaker 2: Take care of your money now so it'll take care
- 14:39Speaker 2: of you later.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Yeah, But that's just to be able to take care
- 14:41Speaker 1: of like roof and food and things like that. I'm saying,
- 14:45Speaker 1: if you do it, like because if you don't know
- 14:47Speaker 1: what caviar tastes like, greg, you don't know what you're saying, right,
- 14:50Speaker 1: and so you don't spend it now, and then you
- 14:52Speaker 1: save it and you invest it, and you have this
- 14:53Speaker 1: money saved up to retirement, you can try cavin and
- 14:56Speaker 1: go you know what, and you can live in it now.
- 14:58Speaker 1: You can live and even better lifestyle in retirement as
- 15:01Speaker 1: opposed to just surviving in retirement. You live a better
- 15:04Speaker 1: lifestyle in retirement.
- 15:05Speaker 4: But I do think, like you said, Gina, once a year,
- 15:07Speaker 4: on your anniversary, you get a seafood tower. Everybody should
- 15:10Speaker 4: have that once a year.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Absolutely, like the fruity pebbles. Yeah, that's my New Year's Day.
- 15:18Speaker 2: And you better wrap yourself in bubble wrap because if
- 15:21Speaker 2: you're waiting for retirement and you die before.
- 15:23Speaker 1: That, oh that's also true. Yeah, that's usually how it
- 15:26Speaker 1: goes to you here about Oh you know, Dave worked
- 15:28Speaker 1: at whatever for forty five years, he finally retired and
- 15:33Speaker 1: then two weeks later.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Just died hearing that.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that sucks what you got for us today?
- 15:41Speaker 4: Greg Gory, Well, I saw this really light and fun
- 15:44Speaker 4: little article about actors who admitted to hating some of
- 15:47Speaker 4: the movies they did, and I thought a lot of
- 15:50Speaker 4: them were pretty amusing especially Ben Affleck, who hated doing Armageddon,
- 15:54Speaker 4: which kind of put him on the map. He said
- 15:57Speaker 4: he asked Michael Bay, the director, why it was easier
- 16:00Speaker 4: to train oil drillers to become astronauts instead of astronauts
- 16:03Speaker 4: to become oil drillers, and Michael Bay just said, shut
- 16:06Speaker 4: the f up.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Is Michael Bay. He's not exactly known for logic and
- 16:12Speaker 1: then uh, still fun.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Richard Gear hated doing Pretty Woman because he's all woke
- 16:17Speaker 4: and everything. He said that it's a silly, romantic comedy
- 16:20Speaker 4: that glorified Wall Street types and corporate raiders, and it
- 16:24Speaker 4: made those guys seem dashing, which is wrong.
- 16:27Speaker 1: How people complain about gangster movies, sopranos, TV shows and
- 16:32Speaker 1: things like that. Oh, you're just glorifying through their fun.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Then shows that became one cool?
- 16:37Speaker 2: And when did he give all of his money away?
- 16:40Speaker 1: He do that salary.
- 16:43Speaker 4: George Claney hated doing Batman and Robin, which is not
- 16:46Speaker 4: a big surprise, but his reasoning was that he wants
- 16:49Speaker 4: his wife to actually respect him and he doesn't want
- 16:51Speaker 4: to be in a movie where a four year old
- 16:53Speaker 4: would say this sucks, so he's embarrassed about that.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Have the nipples on his Batman costume.
- 16:58Speaker 4: I think that might have been Christ so I'm not sure.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Well, he know he had the batman nipples.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Oh he did, Yeah he did. And then the one
- 17:06Speaker 4: that surprised me the most, Alec Guinness, who played Obi
- 17:09Speaker 4: Wan Kenobi and Star Wars hated the movie, hated his lines,
- 17:14Speaker 4: begged George Lucas to kill the character. He said he
- 17:18Speaker 4: couldn't speak these bloody awful lines. And then he told
- 17:21Speaker 4: a story about this one kid who saw Star Wars
- 17:24Speaker 4: a ton of times ran into Alec Guinnis asked for
- 17:26Speaker 4: his autograph, and he said, I'll give you an autograph
- 17:29Speaker 4: if you promised to never watch Star Wars again.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Okay, by the way, Bort went and saw he got
- 17:35Speaker 1: a preview screening of the Mandalorian Noise Grogu.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Oh yeah I did.
- 17:40Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, thank you to the fine people Star Wars
- 17:42Speaker 8: Lucasfilm who actually invited me out.
- 17:45Speaker 10: Had nothing to do with this company.
- 17:46Speaker 1: So that was great.
- 17:48Speaker 4: That awesome.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Yeah right, isn't that cool? That's cool?
- 17:52Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 17:52Speaker 8: I saw the Mandalorian Grogu and I gotta say, guys,
- 17:55Speaker 8: this is the most excited I've had of a time
- 17:58Speaker 8: during a Star Wars movies, Revenge of the Sith. This
- 18:01Speaker 8: is just NonStop action.
- 18:04Speaker 1: It's fun.
- 18:04Speaker 8: If you guys miss eighties nineties action movies, that's it
- 18:07Speaker 8: in sci fi form. Sweet is badass.
- 18:10Speaker 1: You're gonna have a great time. I will say.
- 18:11Speaker 2: In the trailer, Grogu looks especially cute.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Oh and he has like, dude, awesome comedic moments.
- 18:18Speaker 3: He oil.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Pedro looks incredibly handsome without his helmets. So great.
- 18:24Speaker 8: But yeah, it's a great movie. Nine point five out
- 18:26Speaker 8: of ten. Hey, Sea Bass, don't be jealous of what?
- 18:29Speaker 1: But did you see the popcorn bucket that uh that
- 18:33Speaker 1: board got Oh let me guess from the Grogu. So
- 18:36Speaker 1: it's shaped like Grogu's ear. Nope, Nope, it's it's the Mandalorian,
- 18:41Speaker 1: all right, So it's the Mandalorian. But tell him what
- 18:44Speaker 1: it does. It has a little light display where it
- 18:47Speaker 1: projects the logo and whoa damn plays music?
- 18:52Speaker 10: And it plays music.
- 18:54Speaker 1: You're talking to the wrong person. Greg's one is jealous.
- 18:56Speaker 8: Well, oh, Greg's mad jealous because Greg I didn't have
- 18:59Speaker 8: to spend a single all are on it.
- 19:00Speaker 4: I mean not rules. But when you say it's the Mandalorian,
- 19:04Speaker 4: is that a vehicle.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Is that a person that's that's that's Pedro Pascal. He's
- 19:08Speaker 1: the he's the Mandalorians a mustache, well, boba fet he's
- 19:13Speaker 1: also he's also man.
- 19:17Speaker 4: I thought he was the Mandalorian.
- 19:19Speaker 1: This is the Mandalorian because your bounty hunter.
- 19:21Speaker 4: There's more than one Mandalorian.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Yes, and Greg, you might be asked what I've learned?
- 19:25Speaker 6: You might be asking, Well, if they've already done several
- 19:27Speaker 6: seasons of this on Disney plus, why don't you to
- 19:29Speaker 6: go to a theater and pay for it there?
- 19:30Speaker 1: That's what I've asked, just because, oh, yeah, because he
- 19:34Speaker 1: can't because it's more story. Yeah, I do. I do
- 19:38Speaker 1: like the show The Mandalorian. I watched the first season.
- 19:40Speaker 1: That's all I've seen. I've seen the first season. But
- 19:43Speaker 1: it was fun. Yeah, it was better than I thought
- 19:45Speaker 1: it was going to be. So even if you like
- 19:46Speaker 1: a hardcore well I like Star Wars, sure, but I'm
- 19:50Speaker 1: not like crazy like Board is about Star Wars. I
- 19:53Speaker 1: don't think anybody is possible. Yeah, yeah, all right, Gina
- 19:57Speaker 1: grad what you got?
- 19:58Speaker 2: I got some big Shakira news guys, because you remember,
- 20:00Speaker 2: did you hear how she was like battling the Spanish
- 20:03Speaker 2: government for.
- 20:04Speaker 1: The tax evasion.
- 20:05Speaker 7: Yeah, they always go after famous people for tax stuff.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Well, guess what they need to back off. And I
- 20:11Speaker 2: hope they learned their lesson because this has been going
- 20:14Speaker 2: on forever. And a judge finally ruled that she was
- 20:17Speaker 2: not guilty of fraud and said the claims that she
- 20:19Speaker 2: used fake companies to hide her money didn't hold up
- 20:22Speaker 2: and that her businesses were legit. So her team, of
- 20:25Speaker 2: course calls us a complete win after eight years, and
- 20:28Speaker 2: she said, you know, really messed up her health, freaked
- 20:30Speaker 2: her out for a really long time. On top of that,
- 20:33Speaker 2: the court reportedly ordered the Spanish tax officials to return
- 20:36Speaker 2: the equivalent of seventy million dollars plus interest plus legal fees.
- 20:44Speaker 7: Interest a lot with soccer players too that want to
- 20:46Speaker 7: go leave and play for other countries.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Suddenly they have tax problems with charges. So she's going
- 20:53Speaker 1: to be okay.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:54Speaker 1: It kind of sounds like the state of California how
- 20:56Speaker 1: they want to get people if they decide to move
- 20:59Speaker 1: out of state want to, they still want to come
- 21:01Speaker 1: after them for taxes. Even though you're not even in
- 21:03Speaker 1: California anymore. They get you the exit tax.
- 21:07Speaker 2: That's such that's such a mob Maffia mentality.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Speaking of spending money, Kim Kardashian paid five hundred thousand
- 21:13Speaker 1: dollars bail for this guy who's been on death row
- 21:17Speaker 1: for almost thirty years and he's awaiting a retrial for
- 21:20Speaker 1: first degree murder. Now, I'm not sure exactly the details
- 21:24Speaker 1: of this case, you know, I'm you know, paranoid about
- 21:27Speaker 1: that whole you know, wrongfully accused thing. But just because
- 21:31Speaker 1: I'm waiting to see how this works out, I don't
- 21:33Speaker 1: know how many people they offer bail four who are
- 21:36Speaker 1: on death row. It was a no bail situation.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Well, and she's gone to bat for a lot of
- 21:42Speaker 2: people in this situation, so I understand.
- 21:44Speaker 1: But that's a surprising. This guy's white. She usually doesn't
- 21:48Speaker 1: come to Yeah, you know, she doesn't want to be
- 21:50Speaker 1: seen as like helping out a white person.
- 21:53Speaker 7: I don't feel like I've ever heard that before. If
- 21:56Speaker 7: you're on death row, yeah, like for thirty years.
- 21:58Speaker 10: That seems like a slam dunk case. If they end
- 22:00Speaker 10: up on death row.
- 22:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Now, I don't know too much about the case, but
- 22:04Speaker 1: it seems to be were some of the details of
- 22:07Speaker 1: the case. It's more like he's not necessarily innocent. It's
- 22:11Speaker 1: like on a technicality.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Well, and that's I guess that's the issue, is that
- 22:15Speaker 2: they tossed the Supreme Court tossed this conviction out, and
- 22:17Speaker 2: now he's waiting for a retrial.
- 22:19Speaker 6: Right, So that's what a bank on a technicality, Right,
- 22:22Speaker 6: This is an interesting one. So this is January ninety seven.
- 22:25Speaker 6: Is the guy who a guy who owned a motel
- 22:28Speaker 6: was beaten to death. The guy who's in jail or
- 22:31Speaker 6: was in jail, was the admitted to killing him, but
- 22:35Speaker 6: he said this guy who's in this other guy who
- 22:36Speaker 6: got out of jail paid him ten thousand dollars so
- 22:39Speaker 6: that the guy who's Kim Kardashian is helping could take
- 22:42Speaker 6: over the motel. But there was no physical evidence directly
- 22:46Speaker 6: linking him to the murder. Okay, so it's just basically,
- 22:50Speaker 6: I guess I killed this guy, but this other guy
- 22:51Speaker 6: told me to do it or paid me to do it. Therefore,
- 22:54Speaker 6: that's why he's in jail for life.
- 22:56Speaker 10: So he was the one who paid him.
- 22:58Speaker 6: Allegedly so we could take over this motel in Oklahoma City. Yeah,
- 23:03Speaker 6: in nineteen ninety.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Seven, you'll be a real baron.
- 23:05Speaker 6: So I could see this being Yeah, this is this
- 23:08Speaker 6: isn't like in a slam done case, like you're saying,
- 23:10Speaker 6: this isn't the opening shut what he justice sort of case.
- 23:12Speaker 1: This is he said, he said.
- 23:15Speaker 4: And somehow this ended up on Kim Kardashian's radar.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Man years. I'm sure she's hit up like every day
- 23:21Speaker 1: about a case.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Yeah, because she really, I mean she went and remember
- 23:25Speaker 2: she talked to Trump to get people out. I mean
- 23:27Speaker 2: she was in the Oval office for she does do stuff.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Speaking of hotels motels, Yes, familiar with the Patel family.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Sounds familiar. This is yeah, this is uh, this is fascinating.
- 23:41Speaker 1: So this Indian family, the Patel family, they own roughly
- 23:47Speaker 1: sixty percent six zero percent of all hotels and motels
- 23:52Speaker 1: in the entire country thirty four thousand hotels plus sham.
- 23:59Speaker 1: So apparently in the forties is when the first like
- 24:02Speaker 1: Patel came to the country, opened up, you know, took
- 24:05Speaker 1: over a motel, did the whole thing. And then they started,
- 24:09Speaker 1: as they became successful, buying more and then having like
- 24:12Speaker 1: a brother or a cousin or whatever. And so it's
- 24:15Speaker 1: all an offshoot of this one family, the Patel. It's
- 24:19Speaker 1: like the Patel Empire.
- 24:20Speaker 4: So chances are we've all stated.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah property, yeah yeah, yeah, so yeah, they they
- 24:27Speaker 1: just took over. Man, it's crazy. The Patel motel phenomenon
- 24:31Speaker 1: began when they came to the country in the early
- 24:34Speaker 1: nineteen forties, and to keep the costlow, the entire family
- 24:37Speaker 1: lived in the motels, the women cleaning, the children helping
- 24:40Speaker 1: the front desk, the men managing the maintenance department. Yep.
- 24:43Speaker 1: And that they just they just grew and grew and
- 24:45Speaker 1: grew it to now it's sixty percent of all the
- 24:48Speaker 1: hotels and motels in the entire country, the independent ones,
- 24:50Speaker 1: especially so menace.
- 24:51Speaker 6: Your boyfriend Hassa Minaj has a joke about this, and
- 24:54Speaker 6: he talks about it because I've stayed in probably half
- 24:57Speaker 6: a dozen, especially motels where you go into, especially after
- 25:01Speaker 6: hours during the belt the desk and there's a grandma
- 25:04Speaker 6: and then somebody sleeping in the back room. Yeah, it's
- 25:07Speaker 6: just like it's a phenomenon in different states across the country.
- 25:11Speaker 6: It's like, oh, yep, there's a guy who's that.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I never heard of that before. I never heard
- 25:18Speaker 1: of the Ptel motel hotel family. Interesting.
- 25:28Speaker 13: All right, welcome back, everybody, got a little carried away
- 25:32Speaker 13: in that last segment, and then I realized, like, oh man,
- 25:36Speaker 13: Sammy holds that sign up, I'll taking a break, get
- 25:39Speaker 13: and then again.
- 25:44Speaker 1: So we got to the birthday's corner. Birth Day coming up.
- 25:46Speaker 1: A couple of more pieces of entertainment related news. So
- 25:49Speaker 1: Nate Bargetzi, he is apparently trying to build his own
- 25:55Speaker 1: amusement park.
- 25:57Speaker 6: I heard rebuild Dollywood essentially, Yeah, what whatever that old
- 26:01Speaker 6: Nashville thing was I used to go to.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Yeah, So like a Disney World style theme park in Nashville.
- 26:07Speaker 1: It's going to call it nate Land, and it's expected
- 26:11Speaker 1: to cost around three hundred and fifty million dollars. It
- 26:13Speaker 1: would be about one hundred acres designed. Is a family
- 26:15Speaker 1: friendly attraction tied to it because he's like a clean
- 26:18Speaker 1: comedy guy, right. He says it's part of a larger
- 26:23Speaker 1: goal of creating wholesome entertainment experiences.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Uh.
- 26:26Speaker 1: The park essentially acting as like a real world extension
- 26:28Speaker 1: of his Nateland Media company. He's already brought in experienced
- 26:32Speaker 1: theme park designers business partners. The project is being treated,
- 26:36Speaker 1: you know, more than just a celebrity vanity project kind
- 26:40Speaker 1: of thing. That's shocking, And I mean he's got feasibility studies, investors,
- 26:44Speaker 1: state level interest, you know. Involved.
- 26:47Speaker 6: Well again, like I was saying, it's opry Land, it was.
- 26:49Speaker 6: We had a theme park in Nashville. That was it was.
- 26:52Speaker 8: It was.
- 26:52Speaker 6: It was where the brand, Yeah right, so where the
- 26:54Speaker 6: opry Mall is now. And we had it and I
- 26:57Speaker 6: would go to it as a little kid, and it
- 26:58Speaker 6: was basically a six flags and closed down in ninety seven.
- 27:01Speaker 6: So it's been done. Now Nashville is twice as big
- 27:04Speaker 6: as it was when I was.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I'm looking up the population that said, the growth has
- 27:08Speaker 1: gone up like it's massive.
- 27:13Speaker 4: I'm looking at it.
- 27:15Speaker 6: Tell you, I could looked it up recently. It's roughly
- 27:16Speaker 6: it's the metro itself is roughly twice the size it
- 27:19Speaker 6: was when I was a kid.
- 27:20Speaker 1: And wow, even more when you count the suburbs and
- 27:22Speaker 1: stuff like that. And that's it. We had one. It
- 27:24Speaker 1: just went away. So Nate Barghetti his shows grossed almost
- 27:28Speaker 1: eighty million dollars yes in twenty twenty five, which is
- 27:32Speaker 1: almost fifty percent more than the second highest selling comedian
- 27:36Speaker 1: in America.
- 27:36Speaker 2: I didn't know it, which is.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Who's the second highest Sebastian. Sebastian man scout. Yeah, so
- 27:43Speaker 1: Nate Bargetti's like almost eighty million and Sebastian's about thirty
- 27:46Speaker 1: five million.
- 27:48Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 27:48Speaker 14: I saw Nate talking about building this sort of theme
- 27:51Speaker 14: park land and he said, he quoted saying, I'm in
- 27:54Speaker 14: the ticket selling business. That's the only business I've ever
- 27:57Speaker 14: been in. So he's just looking at this is like
- 27:59Speaker 14: I sell tickets and the thing park.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Also, I respect that.
- 28:02Speaker 1: It's pretty cool and he doesn't have to go on
- 28:03Speaker 1: the road. People just go to the park mailbox money, ye,
- 28:07Speaker 1: put your name on it. Men's what you got. Well
- 28:10Speaker 1: call her daddy. Is in a new era, guys.
- 28:13Speaker 7: Alex Cooper is pregnant, and I feel like this is
- 28:17Speaker 7: going to be the next wave for podcasts. So if
- 28:19Speaker 7: you don't know, call her daddy. Podcasts they pretty much
- 28:22Speaker 7: just interview famous people about relationships in their life.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Never Mind, I was going to ask because that had
- 28:27Speaker 1: the podcast that I would like. Never know, it's it's
- 28:29Speaker 1: girl sex story. It is not what you would like,
- 28:33Speaker 1: oh what you would like? No, I know it's hugely popular.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Just don't know if she's interviewing every one while I'm
- 28:39Speaker 1: looking for something to check out and listen to.
- 28:41Speaker 7: What I've I been saying for a decade. Just interview
- 28:43Speaker 7: famous people, thank you, and uh so that's basically what
- 28:46Speaker 7: it is. And but it's like I kind of like
- 28:50Speaker 7: she has this whole brand where she's doing production companies
- 28:52Speaker 7: and she's doing products and things like that. But it's
- 28:57Speaker 7: kind of like been the same thing and it just
- 28:59Speaker 7: follows kind of like the reality show formula where you're single,
- 29:04Speaker 7: that's your one era. The second era is you're getting married,
- 29:07Speaker 7: and then the third era you're having a baby. So
- 29:11Speaker 7: that continues and that helps your your company too, but
- 29:18Speaker 7: that that's always the that's always like the like the
- 29:22Speaker 7: arc of things like this.
- 29:24Speaker 1: How do you feel about people talking about their life
- 29:26Speaker 1: in eras in terms of erast I think she's not
- 29:29Speaker 1: doing that. I know. I know it's a big thing though,
- 29:31Speaker 1: but you see it people even even in casual conversing. Right,
- 29:35Speaker 1: the Taylor Swift thing really got everybody's like, oh, this
- 29:37Speaker 1: is my.
- 29:38Speaker 6: Era eventually, but yeah, but then this is right, We've
- 29:41Speaker 6: we've been seeing this for decades now because the girl
- 29:44Speaker 6: who was the hot chick Instagram influencer, she gets knocked
- 29:48Speaker 6: up and now she's the mom influencer. Yes, totally, this
- 29:52Speaker 6: is part it's the Circle of life is genus speaking
- 29:55Speaker 6: of ugh so or Circle of Sluts.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Nia Dunham wrote about wrote about Adam Driver.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, this is a whole thing.
- 30:05Speaker 1: In his in his book and Adam Driver in her book. Yeah,
- 30:08Speaker 1: but Adam Driver has no comment on that stuff because
- 30:11Speaker 1: he keeps being asked about it. And then he joked
- 30:13Speaker 1: about how he's saving his response for his book. I mean,
- 30:16Speaker 1: he didn't have a book.
- 30:17Speaker 2: He does owe her though, and we didn't know who
- 30:19Speaker 2: he was before that. That's how he came on the scene.
- 30:21Speaker 2: That was a big deal for him. So why not
- 30:23Speaker 2: just thank her.
- 30:23Speaker 1: I don't even know what she says because I don't
- 30:25Speaker 1: pay attention.
- 30:25Speaker 2: She said that that he was like very kind of
- 30:29Speaker 2: crazy on set with yell at her and yeah, like
- 30:31Speaker 2: to like hit walls and like just like a brooding
- 30:35Speaker 2: auto factors like that.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Yeah, which is funny because that's kind of the character
- 30:37Speaker 1: you played anyway. Yeah, then he wanted to be Kylo Wren.
- 30:41Speaker 1: So he's a real bad guy there. What he didn't
- 30:43Speaker 1: what he didn't do is eat himself out of a
- 30:44Speaker 1: job like Lena Dunan. Oh men, tell uh what what
- 30:50Speaker 1: did you say? Recently? Because Jack Atnoff was with her
- 30:54Speaker 1: for yeah, very together, made a good point.
- 30:57Speaker 4: I forget.
- 30:57Speaker 7: I said, this is just you know, g this and
- 31:00Speaker 7: God saying, you know what, thank you for your service.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Here's your wife. Yeah, because he's got yeah, his new wife,
- 31:08Speaker 1: I guess is like super cool. Oh yeah, she's yeah.
- 31:12Speaker 1: And that's God's way of repaying Jack and he wiped
- 31:17Speaker 1: through it. Took a couple for the team. Buddy y,
- 31:20Speaker 1: you know what, We're gonna hook you up.
- 31:22Speaker 6: But that's the problem when you're like and Jack gotten
- 31:23Speaker 6: Off massively talented. I've actually watched a lot because like producing,
- 31:27Speaker 6: he tells talks, he produces music very well.
- 31:29Speaker 1: He's cool too about super cool When you live in.
- 31:31Speaker 6: That like hipster pool, sometimes those big those lugas will
- 31:35Speaker 6: take you down.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Damn it.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Sammy.
- 31:42Speaker 10: It was like, I get it.
- 31:46Speaker 1: That's fat, Sammy. I can say that I'm a lot
- 31:51Speaker 1: and six pounds. I can say that seven pounds. She's
- 31:55Speaker 1: now over three Ditchess. I talked your birthdays and your
- 32:01Speaker 1: part of birthday show.
- 32:04Speaker 4: This say.

- 34:44Speaker 1: new hour here on the Woody Show, we've got the
- 34:47Speaker 1: phones open for you if you want to be a
- 34:49Speaker 1: part of whatever it is, topic, contest, whatever that might be.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Eight seven, seven forty four, Woody is the number to
- 34:55Speaker 1: do that set us a text over to two to
- 34:58Speaker 1: nine eighty seven. Greg Gina Grad with the trending news headlines.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Well, shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego has
- 35:07Speaker 2: left three people dead, including a security guard who was
- 35:10Speaker 2: shot trying to protect the mosque.
- 35:12Speaker 1: Police say two.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Teenagers as seventeen or eighteen years old started shooting outside
- 35:16Speaker 2: the mosque before one of them was later found dead
- 35:19Speaker 2: from what investigators think was a self inflicted gunshot wound.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Cops say they found anti Islamic writing connected to the
- 35:26Speaker 2: shooters and earlier in the day one of the suspects.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Moms warned cops that her son might be suicidal and
- 35:31Speaker 2: had taken some guns from the house, and they said
- 35:34Speaker 2: they'd already already been searching for him before.
- 35:36Speaker 1: They got a child who's suicidal. And you're keeping guns
- 35:38Speaker 1: in the house. Yeah, yeah, accessible, that's right, Like put
- 35:42Speaker 1: it in a safe within a safe. Uh huh, you know,
- 35:44Speaker 1: I like, just no common sense whatsoever.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Another person nearby was also hit by gunfire, but they survived.
- 35:51Speaker 2: And now police in Los Angeles and New York they're
- 35:54Speaker 2: increasing patrols around mosques as a precaution.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Yeah, like, have guns, fine, right, but there's responsible way
- 36:00Speaker 1: to have them store them. They're not on the coffee table.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Keep them away from the suicidal people that are in
- 36:05Speaker 1: your house exactly, just in general, your children.
- 36:08Speaker 7: I'm not a parent, but I mean there's signs, right,
- 36:11Speaker 7: they don't just like go, oh, they're a good kid,
- 36:13Speaker 7: and then the next day, Yeah, it might be. So
- 36:18Speaker 7: I'm being sarcastic.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I mean sometimes no, sometimes I feel the people who
- 36:23Speaker 1: are the most honest about it probably don't give you
- 36:26Speaker 1: any sign. Yeah.
- 36:27Speaker 2: I just read Dylan Clebold's mother's book. He was one
- 36:30Speaker 2: of the Columbine shooters, and she was like, look, he
- 36:32Speaker 2: was a happy kid. He fell in with this other kid.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Things got weird fast, and that was it.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Yeah. You you know, all of a sudden you hear
- 36:37Speaker 1: about somebody who committed suicide and go what yeah, what
- 36:41Speaker 1: the hell? Yeah? And then there's other people who just
- 36:43Speaker 1: threaten it all the time, you know, or make more
- 36:46Speaker 1: of a cry for attention out of it. Yeah. Right,
- 36:50Speaker 1: Not necessarily they're going to do it, not that they wouldn't,
- 36:52Speaker 1: but they most likely not going to do it. Different people,
- 36:56Speaker 1: the quiet ones are the ones.
- 36:57Speaker 4: People are a hardcore depressed.
- 36:59Speaker 2: They try to exactly exactly. Well Mark Furman does that name?
- 37:04Speaker 2: Ring a bell?
- 37:05Speaker 10: Was the yeah I do because I saw this in
- 37:08Speaker 10: the news.
- 37:11Speaker 1: You have an OJ tattoo? Yeah, a big deal.
- 37:14Speaker 4: You're his biggest fan?
- 37:15Speaker 10: Well, I guess from documentaries and stuff I've seen.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Well he was the former LAPD detective who
- 37:21Speaker 2: became very well known during the OJ murder trial. He's
- 37:25Speaker 2: died at seventy four years old after cancer battle. Furman
- 37:28Speaker 2: helped investigate the nineteen ninety four murders of Nicole Brown's,
- 37:31Speaker 2: System Simpson, and Ron Goldman, and he became a very
- 37:35Speaker 2: important witness after finding that bloody glove at OJ's home.
- 37:39Speaker 2: But here's the thing is, Morgan will tell you, Yeah,
- 37:42Speaker 2: his reputation took a big hit during the trial when
- 37:45Speaker 2: they found all those recordings of him using those very
- 37:47Speaker 2: racist slurs after he denied.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Doing that, and that became a big.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Moment in the case, and that helped the defense claim
- 37:54Speaker 2: that Furman may have planted the evidence Morgan, which he
- 37:58Speaker 2: also denied. After Oj was found not guilty in ninety five,
- 38:02Speaker 2: Furman left the LAPD. He pleaded no contest to a
- 38:05Speaker 2: perjury charge of related to that testimony, and he went
- 38:08Speaker 2: on to be an author and a commentator all kinds
- 38:11Speaker 2: of stuff.
- 38:11Speaker 7: When they caught him on that one question, he's like, dude,
- 38:14Speaker 7: it was right there. They were setting you up where
- 38:17Speaker 7: he's like, have you said the N word in the
- 38:18Speaker 7: past ten years? When they say the past ten years,
- 38:22Speaker 7: you should know they.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Have something on you. Dude, what would what would ten years? Yeah?
- 38:27Speaker 10: The room and also you know if you've said it.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Well, a judge has ruled that prosecutors can use.
- 38:34Speaker 2: The gun and notebook tied to Luigi Mangione as evidence
- 38:37Speaker 2: in his upcoming murder trial. That's a big win for
- 38:40Speaker 2: the prosecution.
- 38:41Speaker 1: So this was a little misleading, not misleading, but a
- 38:43Speaker 1: little confusing because there was a lot of headlines that
- 38:45Speaker 1: were coming out yesterday, like the judge strikes down evidence,
- 38:49Speaker 1: and so people just ran it like also true, yeah,
- 38:51Speaker 1: Like they didn't mention anything. There was not a lot
- 38:53Speaker 1: of headlines about how they were allowing the big gun
- 38:57Speaker 1: and the notebook. Actually yeah, the ones who yeah right.
- 39:00Speaker 1: It was about oh, you can't use this and you
- 39:02Speaker 1: can't use that, which of course brought out all the
- 39:05Speaker 1: Free Luigi people.
- 39:07Speaker 15: Right.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Well, the judge says the gun, which was the three
- 39:10Speaker 2: D printed pistol prosecutors believe was in the shooting, and
- 39:14Speaker 2: a notebook described as his manifesto. They were legally obtained
- 39:18Speaker 2: after he got arrested in Pennsylvania. But here's what the
- 39:20Speaker 2: judge threw out. You can't use stuff in the backpack
- 39:24Speaker 2: like a cell phone, passport, wallet, computer, chip Amo magazine.
- 39:28Speaker 2: He said, those all violate his rights. So those can't
- 39:31Speaker 2: be used. The gun, yeah, and the manifesto. Those will
- 39:34Speaker 2: be an evidence.
- 39:35Speaker 4: Well, all they have to do at the trial is
- 39:37Speaker 4: the lawyer will mention them. Then the defense will well,
- 39:42Speaker 4: you know, object and then even if it's sustained the
- 39:47Speaker 4: jury already you.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Are to strike that.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Understood that, Yeah, disregard.
- 39:55Speaker 1: That says, all right, don't look, but of course you're looking.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Don't think a pink elephant.
- 40:01Speaker 1: And when somebody they would almost be better just glossing
- 40:03Speaker 1: over as opposed to bringing attention to Oh no, you
- 40:06Speaker 1: know what, you need to ignore.
- 40:07Speaker 2: That party on your honor scouts. Yeah, totally. Well, the
- 40:10Speaker 2: murder trial is set to start the first week of September,
- 40:12Speaker 2: and a separate federal trial, will fart will start in
- 40:15Speaker 2: the fall. We'll also fart in the fall. Two Americans
- 40:18Speaker 2: were arrested in Japan, these mfors after one of them
- 40:22Speaker 2: allegedly climbed into punch the monkey's enclosure in the City Zoo.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Videos online show a guy in a blue costume with
- 40:29Speaker 2: a big smiley face mask jumping into the exhibit while
- 40:31Speaker 2: somebody else films it, and the monkeys reportedly they got scared,
- 40:35Speaker 2: they panicked, and that's when the zoo staff stepped in
- 40:38Speaker 2: and booted these idiots. And yes, they were arrested. So,
- 40:41Speaker 2: you guys, this is shocking. These two dumb dums are
- 40:43Speaker 2: accused of obstructing zoo operations because of either social media
- 40:48Speaker 2: tie or some sort of crypto related content creation.
- 40:52Speaker 1: That was going to be my question. I know, people
- 40:54Speaker 1: have always done dumb stuff, and I'm not going to
- 40:56Speaker 1: sit here and say it's social media's fault. I wonder
- 41:00Speaker 1: the rate at which the ain there was. Are there
- 41:02Speaker 1: more of these things happening now right then than there
- 41:06Speaker 1: were like say in the eighties.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Well, if the motivation is to put it online, then
- 41:10Speaker 2: they have to.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Well, I mean people would do things, you knoweah, dump
- 41:13Speaker 1: stuff for attention or for different reasons. The question, I guess,
- 41:19Speaker 1: since social media became you know, so has reached critical mass, are.
- 41:24Speaker 2: We just putting it on blastmore? Or is it happening more?
- 41:26Speaker 2: Is the question?
- 41:27Speaker 4: Right?
- 41:27Speaker 1: Like what's it? What rate is it? Is it? Has
- 41:29Speaker 1: it happening more now? And if it is, like is
- 41:32Speaker 1: it because social media? Because man, it just seems like
- 41:35Speaker 1: it's the dumbest the people have ever been. There's more.
- 41:39Speaker 1: There was just another guy, this tourist in Rome, and
- 41:42Speaker 1: he dove headfirst into the trevy fountain. Idiot like fully
- 41:46Speaker 1: closed and then it's like waiting around and there and
- 41:48Speaker 1: they you know, they pulled him out, it finds like
- 41:51Speaker 1: five hundred and eighty bucks and he's no longer allowed
- 41:54Speaker 1: to go back to the fountain. You guys, Oh no,
- 41:56Speaker 1: but people people doing dumb stuff like that. Now, Are
- 41:59Speaker 1: you doing it just because you're there and caught up
- 42:01Speaker 1: in the moment? Are you doing it because someone's gonna
- 42:03Speaker 1: film it and you can put it on social media?
- 42:05Speaker 1: Desperation for attention is just out of control.
- 42:07Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, it's all for Like, I wasn't around in
- 42:09Speaker 10: the eighties, like y'all were, right, but I think it's
- 42:13Speaker 10: happening more.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Yeah, y'all were similar to Morgan.
- 42:21Speaker 14: I don't really know either, but I would think that
- 42:23Speaker 14: they were doing dumb stuff more back then because they're
- 42:26Speaker 14: more likely to get away with it, like doing dumb
- 42:28Speaker 14: stuff because you're not going to get caught.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I guess a good point. Well, here's a
- 42:33Speaker 2: good just pranking for you. A senior in high school
- 42:36Speaker 2: in Michigan got a little more than he bargained for.
- 42:38Speaker 2: He had called nine one one and reported suspicious activity,
- 42:42Speaker 2: then sat in a bush with a water gun waiting
- 42:45Speaker 2: for a cop to show up. Yeah, one did, and
- 42:48Speaker 2: when he got close enough to the bush, the teenager
- 42:50Speaker 2: popped out and started firing the water gun at him. Guys,
- 42:53Speaker 2: the cop was already on high alert, thinking he was
- 42:55Speaker 2: responding to a burglary.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Yeah, well, when.
- 42:57Speaker 2: The kid popped out, he was pointing something. He freaked
- 43:00Speaker 2: out and he pulled out his gun. Now, luckily for
- 43:03Speaker 2: the kid, the cop made a split second decision did
- 43:07Speaker 2: not fire the gun.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Oh my god, that kid looked out so hard, half
- 43:11Speaker 1: a second away being killed. Of all the things you
- 43:13Speaker 1: can come up with, All right, guys, you know I'm
- 43:15Speaker 1: gonna do. I'm gonna hide the bush. I'm gonna jump
- 43:18Speaker 1: out at a cop who thinks he's responding to like
- 43:20Speaker 1: a like a real crime, and I'm gonna point something
- 43:22Speaker 1: at something and not just anything gun shaped, the gun shaped.
- 43:27Speaker 1: And that's gonna end well for me. But why would
- 43:29Speaker 1: a cop just randomly show up?
- 43:31Speaker 2: Oh no, we're gonna call him.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Oh wait, here's a down, you down. That kid's family
- 43:41Speaker 1: should be planning a funeral right now.
- 43:43Speaker 16: He just had a fantastic action not to fire and
- 43:48Speaker 16: shoot this kid.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that kid is incredibly lucky.
- 43:51Speaker 2: And if he did, don't you think a lot of
- 43:53Speaker 2: people would say the kid just had a water gun?
- 43:55Speaker 1: How could he do. That's exactly how it.
- 43:58Speaker 4: Would be even if he had an actual gun.
- 43:59Speaker 1: Then yeah, well both the students, you just jumped out
- 44:04Speaker 1: of a bush and pointed a gun at a cranking.
- 44:06Speaker 2: The school district and the police department praised this guy
- 44:09Speaker 2: for his quick realization and said that this was a
- 44:11Speaker 2: situation that of course could have ended a lot worse.
- 44:13Speaker 2: And the cops meanwhile, have reminded all students that if
- 44:16Speaker 2: you're going to do a prank, don't use a water gun,
- 44:18Speaker 2: and don't do the pranks at night.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Children.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Not only would they say you shouldn't have shot them,
- 44:24Speaker 4: they would have said, we could have just shot him
- 44:25Speaker 4: in the foot or the leg, because that's.
- 44:27Speaker 2: What you're thinking instinctually when you're in danger.
- 44:29Speaker 7: I was just thinking though, back in the day, my
- 44:32Speaker 7: toy guns were so realistic.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Yeah, all they had was that very thin orange circle
- 44:37Speaker 2: around it.
- 44:38Speaker 6: Upset that's that we had that, But they were black otherwise.
- 44:42Speaker 1: That we pulled those out because we thought those look stupid.
- 44:45Speaker 11: The orange this makes it look fake.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Right, Well that's what's going on.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Thank you very much. I got it. There's many ways
- 44:58Speaker 1: to be a part of things, and however you choose
- 45:02Speaker 1: to do. That is great. It could be as simple
- 45:05Speaker 1: as just following us on social media, so you always
- 45:08Speaker 1: know things that are happening, subscribing to the podcast, not
- 45:12Speaker 1: just listening to the podcast, but you know, subscribe that
- 45:14Speaker 1: help subscribe me to the different channel like on YouTube
- 45:17Speaker 1: and things like that, our YouTube channel. That everything. Yeah,
- 45:20Speaker 1: that that benefits because man, it changes all the time.
- 45:25Speaker 1: And you know, you could post things and for whatever reason,
- 45:29Speaker 1: if you're not giving them money, things just don't show up.
- 45:33Speaker 1: So I'm not a notifications guy though either. Yeah, I
- 45:37Speaker 1: don't think I have. Do you guys have notifications set
- 45:39Speaker 1: for anything? Maybe just flights? But I actually that's different.
- 45:44Speaker 1: I'm talking about emails, text messages. Someone comments on your
- 45:47Speaker 1: social media post. Now I have everything turned off. It's
- 45:50Speaker 1: just too much.
- 45:51Speaker 2: I mean text messages, yes, well that is the notification.
- 45:55Speaker 2: The text is the notification.
- 45:56Speaker 1: True, No, that's that's true.
- 45:58Speaker 2: But everything else.
- 45:58Speaker 4: Now set up my phone to finally only take texts
- 46:02Speaker 4: from people in my context, and it changed my life
- 46:05Speaker 4: for the best.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Is that great?
- 46:06Speaker 9: Love it?
- 46:07Speaker 2: What about when doctors try to like send you a well,
- 46:10Speaker 2: then you'll.
- 46:10Speaker 4: Still see when you open your text message.
- 46:12Speaker 1: It just doesn't give you the notification. Oh it's not
- 46:14Speaker 1: blocking it, no.
- 46:15Speaker 4: No, but there's three lines tea. Yeah, and then you
- 46:20Speaker 4: have three folders. Well you have messages, unknown senders and
- 46:24Speaker 4: then spam.
- 46:25Speaker 1: That's great. It's the best life changing life change. If
- 46:29Speaker 1: you're listening to the podcast and you have something you
- 46:32Speaker 1: like to share, story that you know, whatever the topic's
- 46:34Speaker 1: going on, or just something in general, you see it,
- 46:36Speaker 1: you want to tell us about it. The after hours
- 46:38Speaker 1: voicemail is always good too. During the show, same number
- 46:40Speaker 1: eight seven seven. After the show just becomes the the
- 46:44Speaker 1: after hours voicemail and you can leave us whatever you
- 46:47Speaker 1: got there. Here's just a fun one, like this person
- 46:49Speaker 1: just wanted to give us their Greg Gory impression. All right,
- 46:51Speaker 1: here we go.
- 46:52Speaker 3: Oh yeah, this is a Craig Gory and uh, I'm
- 46:56Speaker 3: currently on my way to the golf course and I
- 46:58Speaker 3: just wanted to say, what a show. Amazing. Yeah. Do
- 47:01Speaker 3: you guys remember when you would talk about any type
- 47:04Speaker 3: of food ever, like green beans or hot dogs are
- 47:07Speaker 3: so good? Yeah, yeah, so good.
- 47:17Speaker 1: It's Stevie wonder good. That was good.
- 47:21Speaker 4: I didn't hear I didn't see that coming at all, that.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Way where he was going. That was pretty accurate.
- 47:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's so funny.
- 47:32Speaker 1: You know you used the kiosk. I was at a
- 47:34Speaker 1: shake Shack and I was a mess. Yeah, you got
- 47:36Speaker 1: to put your name in for the order. I put
- 47:38Speaker 1: in Greg Gory, hoping, hoping that they would call. Had
- 47:41Speaker 1: a screen there. I said orders ready for pick up,
- 47:44Speaker 1: and it just it just came up Greg g I'm like,
- 47:46Speaker 1: oh god, yeah, but I didn't know he did that,
- 47:51Speaker 1: and he pointed out Creig g I was like, wait, what,
- 47:54Speaker 1: oh my god, Greg Gory's here, shout out to shake Shack.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Had never tried their breakfast before breakfast there is good.
- 48:05Speaker 1: They have breakfast, yeah, menace, and I would you have.
- 48:08Speaker 1: I had a like a sausage egg and cheese, but
- 48:10Speaker 1: it's like a freshly fried egg so too. I got
- 48:14Speaker 1: the double egg with the sausage patty.
- 48:18Speaker 4: On its own in a vehicle.
- 48:20Speaker 1: But it's on like the same like potato bun they
- 48:23Speaker 1: get before the burgers.
- 48:25Speaker 14: So was the egg like runny because it's freshly It
- 48:29Speaker 14: was like circle fried.
- 48:31Speaker 1: No, because they weren't like formed, you know, you could
- 48:35Speaker 1: tell they actually things up. You know. It was good thing,
- 48:39Speaker 1: really good. I didn't realize that a breakfast when we
- 48:42Speaker 1: mean neither. This was an airport location, but the breakfast
- 48:46Speaker 1: is really good.
- 48:47Speaker 4: That sounds.
- 48:50Speaker 1: Speaking of getting food, here's another after hours voicemail.
- 48:54Speaker 5: Yeah, so I was listening about the Chipotle and the
- 48:56Speaker 5: portion sizes and the CEO saying that you can ask
- 49:00Speaker 5: for more if you want more. Would it be better
- 49:04Speaker 5: for them to say, if you ate your food and
- 49:06Speaker 5: you're still.
- 49:07Speaker 3: Hungry, come get more.
- 49:08Speaker 5: Other than people taking a ton of food and then
- 49:11Speaker 5: taking it home and having two three meals off it.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that's all I got think.
- 49:16Speaker 4: No, I mean no, I'd rather have a business standpoint.
- 49:19Speaker 1: No, I'd rather have the food to bring home.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Yeah. And also you'll just like dump it on someone
- 49:24Speaker 2: else's plate, like there's always ways to get around this crap.
- 49:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd rather I'd rather do that, like have extra food,
- 49:30Speaker 1: you know, get two meals because it's just the portion's
- 49:33Speaker 1: just so big. So would say like, oh, you can
- 49:37Speaker 1: go to Panda Express and get it. That is fact,
- 49:43Speaker 1: you know, would stove to death.
- 49:45Speaker 5: It's true.
- 49:45Speaker 4: Everybody who texts in a grease.
- 49:47Speaker 1: And then you get to the cash register and it's
- 49:49Speaker 1: a billion dollars exactly accurate.
- 49:51Speaker 4: But if you're one of those people that complains about
- 49:54Speaker 4: big portions. Yeah, go to another country and.
- 49:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, wow, talk on that. I hate when not
- 50:03Speaker 1: just die.
- 50:03Speaker 2: Go to another country, call them American sized portion.
- 50:07Speaker 1: Just go to another country and dust starve to death. Yeah,
- 50:15Speaker 1: bring it home. Here's another one from the Yeah, bitch.
- 50:21Speaker 4: Bring it home. Bitch get two meals for one bit.
- 50:25Speaker 4: Bitch got so much for my money.
- 50:28Speaker 1: I hate it, leave and die. We were talking about
- 50:35Speaker 1: crazy exes, crazy girlfriends claiming things like we're talking about
- 50:40Speaker 1: but Laura Owens, has there been any update on you
- 50:45Speaker 1: learn any more about the case.
- 50:46Speaker 2: She's she's awaiting another trial.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Yeah, everywhere I know, but like the trial, yes, and
- 50:52Speaker 1: what happens there. I'm saying, any more details of the
- 50:54Speaker 1: case that you've become aware of.
- 50:56Speaker 2: No, there hasn't been any new. Yeah, I'm obsessed with her.
- 50:59Speaker 4: Yeah, she's facing prison time, right.
- 51:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 51:01Speaker 1: Yeah, So remind everybody quickly what that caset all about.
- 51:04Speaker 2: She's the daughter of a famous like radio talk show
- 51:08Speaker 2: host in the Bay, and she was going around dating
- 51:11Speaker 2: guys and then getting fake pregnant by them and then
- 51:14Speaker 2: basically trying to extort them and saying, but maybe if
- 51:17Speaker 2: you just date me, I for another couple of weeks,
- 51:18Speaker 2: I'll get an abortion and they're like, get away from you, crazy,
- 51:21Speaker 2: and she's like that now it's a problem. And then
- 51:23Speaker 2: it became famous when she did it to one of
- 51:24Speaker 2: the bachelor's eckered I think, right, and now it's like
- 51:29Speaker 2: all these guys are coming out of the woodwork being
- 51:31Speaker 2: like she did that to me.
- 51:32Speaker 4: And she went so far as to falsify documents, fake doctors, letters, fake.
- 51:37Speaker 2: So you know, a fiver where you can just go
- 51:39Speaker 2: on and have someone like and she was like getting
- 51:41Speaker 2: like sonograms and like putting little babies in it.
- 51:45Speaker 1: So we were we were talking about, you know, crazy.
- 51:47Speaker 1: I talked about that that crazy ex girlfriend that I well,
- 51:50Speaker 1: you guys brought her up that I had, that made
- 51:52Speaker 1: up all kinds of stuff, including telling me how her
- 51:54Speaker 1: sister died. Sister got killed by a drunk driver who
- 51:57Speaker 1: had just gotten back from being deployed, and then she
- 52:01Speaker 1: got cancer. Oh yeah, none of that ended up being
- 52:05Speaker 1: being traded. This after hours voicemail about a crazy girlfriend.
- 52:10Speaker 17: So with the show, big fans, I'll listening to the
- 52:13Speaker 17: podcast and you guys are talking about crazy girlfriends, like
- 52:16Speaker 17: the one that you said claiming that she had cancer,
- 52:19Speaker 17: and all that stuff. Well, I did a chick when
- 52:20Speaker 17: I was like nineteen years old, and I couldn't come
- 52:24Speaker 17: over to her house one time because I was working,
- 52:27Speaker 17: And I told her I can't go over because I
- 52:29Speaker 17: had of work. So she told me that she took
- 52:32Speaker 17: all kinds of pills and had her stomach pump. And
- 52:36Speaker 17: then she told me that when they pumped her stomach
- 52:39Speaker 17: that she was pregnant and she lost the baby because
- 52:41Speaker 17: they had a pumper stomach. So me freaking out, I
- 52:46Speaker 17: apologized to her and I told her mom and dad
- 52:48Speaker 17: like I I'm sorry that she took all those pills.
- 52:52Speaker 17: I had to get her stomach pump and go to
- 52:54Speaker 17: the hospital. Her mom and dad were confused because they're like,
- 52:57Speaker 17: what are you talking about? That never happened. I was like, what,
- 53:00Speaker 17: Like she didn't take up kinds of pills and have
- 53:04Speaker 17: her swimming pump in the hospital and lose the baby.
- 53:07Speaker 17: Like no, that like she stayed home all day and
- 53:11Speaker 17: did nothing. So yeah, that was my crazy story about
- 53:14Speaker 17: having a crazy girlfriend. And yeah, when she told me that,
- 53:17Speaker 17: I've done for the right way, and yeah, I don't
- 53:20Speaker 17: know what happened to her life, but whatever, pet out.
- 53:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's great.
- 53:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:30Speaker 4: I always hate it when people say, yeah, the baby's
- 53:32Speaker 4: in the mom most belly. No, then she would digest it,
- 53:36Speaker 4: digest it, or I have she got really sick, she'd
- 53:38Speaker 4: puke it up. Yeah.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Yeah, with with that last.
- 53:41Speaker 4: Meal, she Mama's billy. No, it's not.
- 53:45Speaker 1: It's the craziest thing, you know, Uh, Gina with a guy,
- 53:49Speaker 1: maybe maybe as like a younger as a younger lady.
- 53:54Speaker 10: I think I can I can see.
- 53:57Speaker 1: I can see Morgan trying to trap an older dude,
- 53:59Speaker 1: like one of these daddies trap them. I could I
- 54:04Speaker 1: could see, I'm saying, you have I could see based
- 54:08Speaker 1: on your your fun personality, I could see there could
- 54:11Speaker 1: be a time where you might try to do something
- 54:14Speaker 1: you know where uh maybe not lot about a pregnancy.
- 54:18Speaker 10: I would never know, Like I cut you out of
- 54:20Speaker 10: my life.
- 54:20Speaker 2: And yeah, I don't think we're schemers, but I do
- 54:23Speaker 2: have one. When I was in New York and I
- 54:26Speaker 2: was dating somebody, we got in this big fight in
- 54:29Speaker 2: our apartment because we were living together at the time,
- 54:32Speaker 2: and he walked out and that was like, I freaked out.
- 54:35Speaker 2: He walked out of the apartment in the middle of
- 54:37Speaker 2: an argument. So a twenty. I don't know, two year
- 54:41Speaker 2: old Gina decided to take all of her clothes off
- 54:45Speaker 2: and run into the hallway and I start and have.
- 54:49Speaker 1: You ever noticed a lot of her stories are about
- 54:51Speaker 1: her getting new and they're playing guitar and then she
- 54:57Speaker 1: plays or modeling for the like the art students to
- 55:01Speaker 1: draw and it's clean. Yeah, And so she's like, what
- 55:04Speaker 1: are you doing? Go back? And I was like, I'm
- 55:06Speaker 1: staying out here naked it. So that's what I forced.
- 55:09Speaker 10: Him to go back exactly.
- 55:11Speaker 4: Oh so that was to get because he was.
- 55:13Speaker 2: So humiliated that I was naked in the hallway of
- 55:17Speaker 2: an apartment.
- 55:17Speaker 4: Building and he stayed with stuff.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Samy has like been there and done that. That's like
- 55:23Speaker 1: a Tuesday.
- 55:24Speaker 4: And that was a split second decision. Here's what I'm
- 55:27Speaker 4: going to do.
- 55:28Speaker 1: I don't know, follow him out.
- 55:32Speaker 4: Oh my god, I think.
- 55:33Speaker 2: I was crying too, so like I really, yeah, I put.
- 55:35Speaker 1: On the tears are always guy.
- 55:38Speaker 2: The guy was like gool brick and I was like,
- 55:40Speaker 2: I'm not going anywhere.
- 55:41Speaker 10: So you never never did anything crazy like that, or
- 55:44Speaker 10: I didn't know, but I did not nude. Now, but
- 55:46Speaker 10: I've cheated on guys and they've done crazy things to me,
- 55:49Speaker 10: but it was warranted because I cheated.
- 55:53Speaker 1: Hey, yeah, warranted.
- 55:55Speaker 10: I deserved it.
- 55:57Speaker 14: I can't think of anything, I mean, even that I've
- 55:59Speaker 14: been divorced, and I can't think of anything that crazy.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Sometime when you were a teenager, because you were a
- 56:04Speaker 1: bitchy cheerleader, you mean girl, you know, as we've all heard,
- 56:09Speaker 1: you know, like you weren't like certain people.
- 56:11Speaker 14: I could have been nicer too, yes, but I don't
- 56:14Speaker 14: think I was like super mean yirl all around the school.
- 56:16Speaker 1: That's not what we've heard. We've heard a lot.
- 56:20Speaker 2: I had this dude I didn't even want to date,
- 56:23Speaker 2: and he I don't know why. I think he just
- 56:24Speaker 2: flattered me a lot, and he wouldn't go away. So
- 56:26Speaker 2: we kind of started dating and he kept saying I
- 56:29Speaker 2: love you, and I was not interested. And then I think,
- 56:32Speaker 2: to this day, I think he faked some sort of
- 56:34Speaker 2: like appendicitis and made me take him to the hospital.
- 56:38Speaker 2: I didn't even know him that well. And when I
- 56:40Speaker 2: took him and they admitted him, I said, like, I've
- 56:43Speaker 2: never taken anyone to the hospital before. This was actually
- 56:46Speaker 2: not and this was when I lived here, and I go,
- 56:49Speaker 2: I've never taken anyone in the hospital before he goes well,
- 56:51Speaker 2: now you've taken a boyfriend to the hospital.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Oh that's weird. Dudes do crazy things. I still have
- 56:59Speaker 1: I want to ate for the record, I'm not just
- 57:01Speaker 1: saying that. You know, you ladies are the ones who
- 57:03Speaker 1: are always nuts.
- 57:04Speaker 10: Not women.
- 57:04Speaker 1: Know, there are some dudes that do some really crazy stuff,
- 57:07Speaker 1: like to get you know this, they do something really
- 57:10Speaker 1: wild and like, oh, well, she'll definitely take you back now.
- 57:13Speaker 1: They do it find an effort for the person to
- 57:16Speaker 1: realize what a mistake they made. Yeah, impathy stuff.
- 57:19Speaker 14: I do remember the time that I got into a
- 57:23Speaker 14: bar fight in Mexico and got kicked out of the club.
- 57:25Speaker 11: But I forgot about that.
- 57:28Speaker 14: But that was with the girl that he started dating
- 57:31Speaker 14: right after me, So.
- 57:34Speaker 1: I got her fault I did. Yeah, so.
- 57:40Speaker 11: Yeah that happened.
- 57:42Speaker 1: So what he had broken up with me and I
- 57:44Speaker 1: was devastated.
- 57:45Speaker 14: We were together for a couple of years, and then
- 57:47Speaker 14: I found out on our senior trip down to Mexico
- 57:51Speaker 14: that they were dating, and I got super pissed. So
- 57:54Speaker 14: now we're all drunk in Mexico and we went out
- 57:58Speaker 14: that night to one of the clubs.
- 58:00Speaker 10: There was a ton of Us.
- 58:00Speaker 14: There and I went up to her. They were both
- 58:05Speaker 14: at the bar together, and I started calling her like
- 58:09Speaker 14: an effing slut, and all of a sudden.
- 58:13Speaker 11: And rage, I threw my drink on her and.
- 58:27Speaker 14: Doing her drink on me, and then I slapped her
- 58:30Speaker 14: across the face and then she went to hit me,
- 58:33Speaker 14: but I grabbed her arm with my right hand, and
- 58:36Speaker 14: I was about to pummel her.
- 58:38Speaker 11: I mean I was launching myself forward.
- 58:42Speaker 10: I mean, I guess.
- 58:45Speaker 1: In Mexico too, so yeah.
- 58:48Speaker 14: So as I was leaning forward onto her, I felt
- 58:51Speaker 14: security pull me back. So yeah, so then security grabbed me,
- 58:56Speaker 14: took me outside, and then I explained to security of Jesus,
- 59:01Speaker 14: yeah exactly.
- 59:03Speaker 11: Now, I think you need all the facts before kicking money.
- 59:06Speaker 1: I remember the old Luntunes cartoons where it was like
- 59:09Speaker 1: the the little Chicken always thought he was a big
- 59:12Speaker 1: badass and like you would always be held down like
- 59:14Speaker 1: one finger like an arms language. That's why I'm picturing salmon.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Yeah for sure. Also, uh am I the only person
- 59:22Speaker 1: who had parents who would have never allowed a senior
- 59:25Speaker 1: trip to Mexico. Yeah, not a million years way. I
- 59:28Speaker 1: don't think they would have allowed a senior trip across town.
- 59:32Speaker 4: Probably not.
- 59:32Speaker 11: So this trip it was called it was they were known.
- 59:36Speaker 11: It was called SWAT.
- 59:37Speaker 14: It was summer winter activity trips, and it wasn't smart.
- 59:41Speaker 11: I don't think it exists anymore.
- 59:43Speaker 14: But they like scammed the system kind of like it
- 59:47Speaker 14: was everybody at your school. There was different people who
- 59:49Speaker 14: were quote quote recruiters and they would get like ten
- 59:52Speaker 14: people signed up and whatever. So they had people at
- 59:54Speaker 14: all different schools recruiting other kids to go on this trip.
- 59:57Speaker 14: And for all the parents, it was like there was
- 59:59Speaker 14: a website and theirs chaperones on this trip.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Oh, they did their job.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Yeah, the bar right.
- 1:00:05Speaker 14: So the chaperones were like twenty one years old for
- 1:00:07Speaker 14: our senior trip, but they had school buses come to
- 1:00:10Speaker 14: our school to pick us up when we're heading down
- 1:00:13Speaker 14: like to Mexico, and so it all seemed legit.
- 1:00:18Speaker 10: Yeah, and it was not. It was not at school.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: It doesn't matter how way it would have been, Like
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: my parents would have never allowed me to go on
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: a trip, a senior trip to Mexico. About a million
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: you know kids taking spring break trips to Florida and
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: like that wouldn't have been allowed to happen. I would
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: have had to have been in college or yeah, for
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: a grown adult, like nope, as long as I was
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: living at the house, as long as I was living
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: at their hous there's no way they would have just been.
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: Like trip was like six Flags in Disneyland.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the school affiliated one.
- 1:00:53Speaker 14: So this was nonschool affiliated and it was after graduation,
- 1:00:56Speaker 14: so technically college.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: I did mention the coolest cereal we were ever allowed
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: to have in the house was honey nut cheerios. No soda, no.
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: That was it. No soda, no, not even white bread
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: in my house.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Had to be Yeah, well, we got to get a
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: break eight seven seven forty four. Anytime after the show,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: you can leave your message on the after hours voicemail
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: eight seven seven forty four Woody text us to nine
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: eighty seven. We will be right back. Don't go anywhere.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: The Woody Show will be right back the Woodie Show.
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: So I watched Better Call Saul, and I have not
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: the name doesn't sound familiar. Hit me actor Russell Andrews.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Then that's the actor's name.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Russell Andrews.
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: Look him up.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna look him up right now, Russell Andrews. Better Call.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: So yeah, what what was his uh this guy what
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: what was his character? Recognis anyway's sad news. He's been
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: diagnosed with als. Oh god, yeah, nerve disease. And he
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: was talking about he got diagnosed late last year. Symptoms were,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: you know, his muscles were twitching and he was dropping
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: things and just increasing weakness that he thought was maybe
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: like a stress related thing or even like a possible stroke.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: And he said just then over time, everyday, things like
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: olden cups are just moving normally just became harder and harder.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Now, what also sucks is that he lost health insurance
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: because of work gaps, industry strikes, things like that, which
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: delayed him getting a proper diagnosis. And then once he
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: regained coverage, I can only imagine how much that costs.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: He saw a doctor, though, pretty quickly went to a neurologist.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: And now he's just out out there advocating because yeah.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: That's that'll make me paranoid or anything, I know, right,
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: But you know, this is interesting and I don't think
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: it's a spoiler, but you know Eric Dane from Rueforia
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: and all this stuff, and he's in an episode of
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Euphoria and it's a scene where they play it up
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: like he's been drinking.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: And I think they had to because.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: His speech was slurred just from from the diagnosis, so
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: you know they had to do that.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: It was a detective on a better call.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: So yeah, I think it was kind of a small
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: part Detective Salerno.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Yeah, like he looks familiar. Yeah he does. I know
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: I've seen him and he just started watching. I haven't
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: gotten to him yet.
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I might have to start re reread.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: It's so good, Grog, I can't.
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: Get past episode two.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: You have to. That doesn't make anything. It is log
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: I don't even know what to say to that. Greg.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: I understand because it was first it was with Breaking
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Bad that way. It took me forever to get past
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: the pilot episode where they're shocked by that, with the
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: RV and the desert. I'm like, c really, damn it,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: that's good. No, yeah, that's crazy. It took me like
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: three or four attempts. Wow, over over time, over a
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: period of months, and I went back to a couple
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: of months later, I will try it again. I kept
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: talking about and talking about and talking about so then
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: did that and then all of a sudden, oh my god,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: what a great show, and then I tried. As soon
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: as Better Call Saul came out, I'm like, oh, because
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: I love Breaking Back so much and I'm watching I'm
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: watching that, I'm like, what the f is this? Why
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: is so much of it in black and white? Why
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: cinnabon for so long? Nothing's happening, No one's talking, who's
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: this guy? Is that?
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: And the kids, all the fraudster kids on the skateboard.
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: It's like, okay, let's move.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: On, huh anyway?
- 1:04:24Speaker 9: Uh?
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: Push push push, went back, try again, push push, push,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: almost and then there was the breakthrough, and then I
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: just couldn't get enough.
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: I think the problem for me is that Breaking Bad
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: ruined every TV show because nothing will be as agreed.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Well, this is an extension of that exactly. I put
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Breaking Back as a I'll put it as a ten, right,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: just because you know, as even though nothing's perfect, they
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: say nothing's absolutely perfect, there's always room for it's as
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: close you're going to get. So we're griding on a curve.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: It's a ten. Yeah, all right, Better Call Saul to
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: me is a nine point eight.
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: Really?
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: Oh wow, I love it. I wouldn't have even said
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: nine point.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: Eight really, I said, like an eight no an eight
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: and I love it. But my god, I know they
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: were that close.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: But the reason it's not a ten is because it
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: was even harder to push through that first couple episodes
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: to where it really right.
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: Clint I only had one criticism of Breaking Bad, and
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: that was the demise of Gus. I'm like, oh, that
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: was so over the top.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Spoiler it was so good. I thought it was he
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: walked out of the hallway. Yeah, I'm sorry spoiler alert.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: Yeah, ti happened one second than the trustre You don't
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: know what.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: But it won't ruin it. It's so good, all right,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: eight seven, seven forty four Woody text us over to
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: two two nine eight seven More Woodies Show is next.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: We're gonna be joined by Rich Demurro, Yes, rip rich
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: On Tech from k t L A our very own
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: las very own k t L. A tech reporter, great guy,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: recommender of great pizza from as Frozen Pizza Goes. He's
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: only turned us on to that Walmart. Yeah, really good anyway.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Rich Demurro rich On Tech joins us next. Heich Hi,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: welcome back. It is the Woodie Show. Yeah, and we
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: have our friend Rich Demurro Rich Tech. He is a
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: tech reporter. He hosts the Rich on Tech radio show.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: It is sim syndicated. There's the word I'm looking for.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I know a thing or two about that. Yeah, so
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: he's syndicated on radio stations across the country. You could
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: subscribe to his free newsletter rich on Tech dot tv.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: But the podcast from the show is on the iHeartRadio app.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: You can check him out there, and you can find
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: him on social media at rich on Tech, Rich DeMuro, everybody,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: what's a Rich Good morning? Hello? Hello Rich? All right,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: So I don't know if you believe this stat I
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: saw that they came out with this stat talking about
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: how on Memorial Day weekend it's gonna be another record
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: number of people on the roads, and with the gas
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: prices as high as they are, do.
- 1:07:18Speaker 10: You believe that's dead?
- 1:07:20Speaker 9: I think people might may stay more local. But we
- 1:07:22Speaker 9: were looking up some hotels for Memorial Day weekend at OMG.
- 1:07:26Speaker 9: I've never seen higher prices in my life real each Yeah,
- 1:07:29Speaker 9: I mean even flights.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: I mean some Southwest flights which were typically I would
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: say the highest I've ever seen it on this particular
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: route was like maybe five hundred bucks round trip, and
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: the one I saw was for twelve hundred bucks. O.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Hell first class, No, that was that was Southwest. On
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: that first tier, we could select your seat and that's
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: just the regular seat, not that any of the premium seats,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: because the only one that was cheaper than that was
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: the one where they assigned you the seat at the airport.
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: Even that, it was maybe seventy five dollars or one
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: hundred bucks cheaper if you did it that way. But
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: you know, I'm not because you know what you're getting
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: when to get to the airport that center c Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: thank you.
- 1:08:10Speaker 9: Let's let's be clear too. The Southwest is no longer
- 1:08:14Speaker 9: a cheap airline too.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: They are.
- 1:08:16Speaker 9: All these airlines are celebrating the demise of Spirit because that's.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: What kept them honest.
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: And I don't.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: I don't hate Southwest, by the way. I've had decent
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: experiences with Southwest. It's fine. I never had a problem
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: with the boarding group stuff, the way they gregged it anyway.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: So rich's talk about there's a travel side. I heard
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: you talking about it. It's called mind trip flights. So
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: for people who are interested in doing some traveling, tell
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: us about mind trip flights. Yeah.
- 1:08:40Speaker 9: So typically when you're booking flights, I use Google Flights.
- 1:08:43Speaker 9: It's a great site, but you have to know kind
- 1:08:46Speaker 9: of where you're going, the airports, the dates, the times,
- 1:08:49Speaker 9: all that good stuff. This kind of takes a more
- 1:08:52Speaker 9: AI approach. So you go to mind trip dot Ai
- 1:08:55Speaker 9: slash flights and you just type in natural language, just
- 1:09:00Speaker 9: like you went on chat GBT, what you want to do.
- 1:09:02Speaker 9: So let's say you have a week in October and
- 1:09:05Speaker 9: you could take a vacation. You can say, hey, I
- 1:09:08Speaker 9: want to go to a place that has an incredible
- 1:09:10Speaker 9: cultural experience plus amazing restaurants and it's fully walkable for
- 1:09:14Speaker 9: the cheapest week in November in October internationally from lax
- 1:09:20Speaker 9: or whatever city you're in, and it will go and
- 1:09:23Speaker 9: look through all this information that it has to find
- 1:09:26Speaker 9: you the best itineraries.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: And what's neat about.
- 1:09:29Speaker 9: It is that Google bought one of the big travel companies,
- 1:09:33Speaker 9: the one that owns all the data for the airlines.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: That's why Google Flights is so good.
- 1:09:36Speaker 9: Well, this one is partnered with Saber, which is the
- 1:09:40Speaker 9: other big company with all that flight info.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: So basically it has.
- 1:09:44Speaker 9: Really good information and it's so smart and it's almost
- 1:09:46Speaker 9: like talking to a travel agent.
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: So the point, once you decide it, Rich, then can
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: you say that sounds great, book it or do you
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: have to go through the actual process of booking everything?
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: And it suggests good question.
- 1:10:00Speaker 9: Use it to book because it is back end with
- 1:10:02Speaker 9: Saber and they also use PayPal.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: But I have a hint.
- 1:10:05Speaker 9: I have a feeling that a lot of people like
- 1:10:08Speaker 9: power users especially, may just say, Hey, I'm going to
- 1:10:10Speaker 9: book these flights on my own, but you know, you
- 1:10:13Speaker 9: have the option of booking through there if you'd like.
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: I'm sure they'd like that. Yeah, that sounds pretty damn easy.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: We're talking to rich Sarmiro rich on Tech. Find them
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: on social media at rich on Tech. Now, rich the
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: next thing I want to bring up is something that
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: I know, Gina, you got some questions about this. Instagram
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: is pushing a new feature called instance. Yeah. I saw Morgan.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: I saw Morgan post something with it.
- 1:10:34Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: I keep ignoring it because I'm not sure what to
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: do it.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: What the hell is this like Snapchat?
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:10:38Speaker 9: It's basically yeah, I mean Instagram has a history of
- 1:10:41Speaker 9: copying Snapchat features. I mean the story is Snapchat. Instance
- 1:10:45Speaker 9: is Snapchat. So when you open up Instagram at this point.
- 1:10:49Speaker 9: When you go to your messages, you may see a
- 1:10:51Speaker 9: little stack of photos in the lower right hand corner.
- 1:10:55Speaker 9: If you tap those, you can look through what your
- 1:10:57Speaker 9: friends are posting. But you could only look at these
- 1:11:00Speaker 9: photos once and then they disappear from your view and
- 1:11:04Speaker 9: theoretically disappear forever. But you know, we know that nothing
- 1:11:08Speaker 9: on the Internet is going away forever. And if you
- 1:11:11Speaker 9: want to take one of these pictures, you can go
- 1:11:12Speaker 9: to the camera, you know, through the instance, tap that
- 1:11:15Speaker 9: little uh stack of photos, and when you tap the
- 1:11:18Speaker 9: shutter button, you have to know that it posts instantly,
- 1:11:22Speaker 9: like to this little instance. So the first picture I took,
- 1:11:25Speaker 9: I was literally just looking at the camera. I'm like,
- 1:11:27Speaker 9: what is this? And like that was the picture that
- 1:11:29Speaker 9: posted to all these people. So be very careful where
- 1:11:32Speaker 9: you aim your camera.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're checking on the toilet or something.
- 1:11:34Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, exactly exactly.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: And just as what is this new instant?
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: Yeah, just as a fun fact, I think this is
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: the same for Snapchat. I just tried to take a
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: screenshot of you rich on yours and says you can't
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: screenshot this or record this. It's only meant to.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: Be viewed once. So don't try and get sneaky anybody.
- 1:11:51Speaker 9: Yes, but here's the thing, and this is what I
- 1:11:53Speaker 9: think parents need to talk about with their kids and
- 1:11:55Speaker 9: people need to remember in general. Number one, you're sending
- 1:11:58Speaker 9: these photos through giant meta servers. They are never going away.
- 1:12:02Speaker 9: They are staying on there forever, So don't get silly.
- 1:12:05Speaker 9: Number Two, you could always Gina, have someone else just
- 1:12:08Speaker 9: record over your shoulder, just capture the screen. Nothing you
- 1:12:13Speaker 9: should do that, that's what you could do. Yeah, but
- 1:12:16Speaker 9: nothing goes away forever. My point is this is not
- 1:12:19Speaker 9: like a safe, secure, private way of like sending photos
- 1:12:22Speaker 9: to people.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: No way. Speaking of safe and secure, somebody mentioned we
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: were talking about I mentioned on the on the iPhone.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Something I never realized is that up there where it
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: has like your battery, how many bars you've got for
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: your for your signal. Sometimes you'll see like a little
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: green light or a little like orange light that will
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: or a little dot that'll come up there. And what
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: does that mean?
- 1:12:43Speaker 9: Orange means the microphone is being used by an app.
- 1:12:46Speaker 9: Green means the camera or the camera and microphone are
- 1:12:49Speaker 9: being used.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: And this is going viral.
- 1:12:51Speaker 9: A lot of people are saying, oh, this is when
- 1:12:52Speaker 9: the government can tap into your phone, which is not
- 1:12:55Speaker 9: true at least in America hopefully, But the reality is
- 1:12:59Speaker 9: they added these icons a couple of years ago with
- 1:13:01Speaker 9: the iPhone.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: I guess people are just noticing.
- 1:13:03Speaker 9: But if you pull down on the top of your phone,
- 1:13:06Speaker 9: it will tell you which app actively use, is actively
- 1:13:10Speaker 9: using the mic or whatever is?
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: If you swap, if you swipe down the finger swipe
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: from the top right corner, it'll it'll show you that stuff.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: I guess i'd seen those before, and I didn't know
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: the men until I saw that thing, So we brought
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: that up. But the other thing to talk about, rich
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: is now how messages between iPhone and Android are more private.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: I do see something every once in a while on
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: a message it'll say encrypted. Yeah, yeah, Like what is that? Like?
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: Is it? I mean I got with yours lately? Would
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: he really? Every text that you and I send at
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: the top it says encrypted, but it doesn't say that
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: with say, Gina.
- 1:13:44Speaker 9: iPhone to iPhone has been encrypted now for probably the
- 1:13:47Speaker 9: past I mean it's been a while, but now they're
- 1:13:49Speaker 9: showing when it's encrypted.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: Up at the top. You'll see a little Locke icon.
- 1:13:54Speaker 9: So that's been going on for a while, they just
- 1:13:55Speaker 9: weren't very like clear about showing you that. And by
- 1:13:58Speaker 9: the way, end to end encryption is the best encryption
- 1:14:01Speaker 9: you can get because it means that nobody can read
- 1:14:04Speaker 9: your messages when they're in transit. So that means Apple
- 1:14:07Speaker 9: can't read it, t Mobile can't read it, the government
- 1:14:09Speaker 9: can't read it. Verizon like, for real, I can't read it.
- 1:14:13Speaker 9: I mean for real as long as I mean. I'm
- 1:14:17Speaker 9: sure there's a white paper somewhere on Apple's website that
- 1:14:19Speaker 9: explains and on Google's. But here's the big news is
- 1:14:22Speaker 9: that so it used to be Android to Android was also.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Encrypted in the past year or so.
- 1:14:28Speaker 9: But now in the past couple of weeks, Apple and
- 1:14:31Speaker 9: Google have played nice and they said, you know what,
- 1:14:33Speaker 9: we are going to make texts between these two platforms
- 1:14:37Speaker 9: encrypted end to end, which is a huge win for
- 1:14:40Speaker 9: privacy because when you send a message to someone on
- 1:14:42Speaker 9: Android or Android to iPhone, as long as you're both
- 1:14:45Speaker 9: on the latest software, you will have end to end encryption,
- 1:14:48Speaker 9: which means nobody else can read those messages, unless.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Of course, you screenshot it and share it on social media.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: Have over someone's shoulder.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: Suggests you're right I'm exactly like I want you to do.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: I'm looking at text from Woody and and it doesn't
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: have anything about being encrypted and Greg's does. Is there
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: like an option to turn it on?
- 1:15:04Speaker 9: You can as long as you're updated to iOS twenty
- 1:15:07Speaker 9: six point five, it should automatically turn on. And it's
- 1:15:11Speaker 9: gonna start turning it on for even older conversations. So
- 1:15:13Speaker 9: it could be that if you have an existing conversation
- 1:15:16Speaker 9: with someone that may not be end to end encrypted
- 1:15:19Speaker 9: until Apple goes through and says like, okay, let's do
- 1:15:21Speaker 9: all the old conversations right now. If you start a
- 1:15:24Speaker 9: new one, it should do that. But yes, I've noticed
- 1:15:26Speaker 9: in my messages they're all over the map right now.
- 1:15:29Speaker 9: But eventually everything will be and to end encrypted like
- 1:15:32Speaker 9: by default.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: All right, Well, we're talking to rich Damia rich on Tech.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: You can find them on social media at rich on Tech.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: You can subscribe to his free newsletter at richontech dot tv.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: This is the Lily Show. All right, welcome back, shut
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: We have Rich d'miro on with us. Rich Dimiro, rich
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: on Tech tech reporter handles tech for KTLA Television in
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Los Angeles. He's the host of the rich on Tech
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: radio show on radio stations across the country, way more
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: more than what we're on. Yeah, ructions all the time
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: compared to Rich and how many stations he's on you
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: can subscribe to. It is a free newsletter at Rich
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: on tech dot tv. Rich, I keep me in and
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: ask you for people who don't know the newsletter, what
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: kind of stuff do people get with the newsletter? Like
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: what's covered there?
- 1:16:17Speaker 9: I mean it's realistically, my radio show and my newsletter
- 1:16:21Speaker 9: and my TV segments, they're all aimed at the average person.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: So what we love about.
- 1:16:26Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean people are busy, they're working, they're experts
- 1:16:29Speaker 9: in their field. I'm trying to cover the stuff that
- 1:16:31Speaker 9: I think is the most important for the average person,
- 1:16:34Speaker 9: so that when you come up against something, you see
- 1:16:36Speaker 9: something on social media, you get you need an app
- 1:16:38Speaker 9: for something. That's the kind of stuff I'm sharing, Like
- 1:16:41Speaker 9: I call it the tech stuff you need to know about.
- 1:16:43Speaker 9: So it's like handy apps, useful websites, and of course
- 1:16:47Speaker 9: explaining like what's happening with the big tech companies and
- 1:16:50Speaker 9: you know, the things they're trying to.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Do well, kind of like we just did in that
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: last segment. We're talked about that that travel site mind
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: trip flights, you know bo can travel and stuff like that.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: The Instagram instance, Duff, we were mentioning all that. If
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: you missed that segment, we just talked to Rich about
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: these things. You can find it on our podcast Today's
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: podcast when that goes on the iHeartRadio app. Rich, what
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: else do you have for us this week?
- 1:17:10Speaker 9: I've got two apps that I really like that I've
- 1:17:12Speaker 9: kind of been loving. The first is called ORB. So
- 1:17:15Speaker 9: the guy who created one of the most popular speed
- 1:17:18Speaker 9: test websites. You know, if you ever want to test
- 1:17:19Speaker 9: your internet speed, you go to speed Test. He actually
- 1:17:23Speaker 9: has now created a new app called orb and you
- 1:17:26Speaker 9: download it to your desktop computer and it gives you
- 1:17:29Speaker 9: a little tiny icon in either your you know, at
- 1:17:32Speaker 9: the bottom or at the top, depending on your Mac
- 1:17:34Speaker 9: or PC, and it gives you your Internet quality like rating.
- 1:17:38Speaker 9: So like right now, I get tell you I have
- 1:17:40Speaker 9: an eighty three, which is you know, it's fine, it's
- 1:17:42Speaker 9: not very good, but it's like the best way of
- 1:17:44Speaker 9: keeping on top of your Internet like quality if you
- 1:17:47Speaker 9: have a zoom call or you're working. It's just to me,
- 1:17:50Speaker 9: it's like such a cool thing. It's completely free and
- 1:17:52Speaker 9: it's at orb dot net. You can download I've got
- 1:17:55Speaker 9: on all my computers now, so I.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Said, not your phone, So he's got to be like
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: a desktop laptop.
- 1:18:00Speaker 9: You can download it to your phone too, like you
- 1:18:02Speaker 9: can have up to five devices for free the phone.
- 1:18:06Speaker 9: I find it's a little bit less useful because you
- 1:18:08Speaker 9: have to actually physically open the app to see your speed.
- 1:18:11Speaker 9: I'm waiting for them to come out with like a
- 1:18:13Speaker 9: little widget that can put on my home screen, which
- 1:18:15Speaker 9: would which would show me like, Okay, I've got good quality.
- 1:18:18Speaker 9: But it's just one of those things like as a nerd,
- 1:18:20Speaker 9: I don't know. It's just kind of fun to like
- 1:18:21Speaker 9: see like, oh do I have a good Internet connection?
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: Do I have a bad?
- 1:18:24Speaker 9: So you're not doing speed tests all the time, and
- 1:18:26Speaker 9: it's also taking it into consideration more than just speed.
- 1:18:30Speaker 9: It's actually looking at like the latency of your network,
- 1:18:33Speaker 9: which means how fast when you press something to something
- 1:18:35Speaker 9: return to your computer, which is good for gaming, and
- 1:18:38Speaker 9: other quality indicators that you know, give it that score.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: That's what we want the price for. If you were
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: thinking about doing Starlink home service, they just raise the
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: price on that.
- 1:18:49Speaker 15: Man.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: Yeah, the price is what I heard ye kind of
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: a bummer on that. Yeah, I got some I got
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: some email. Oh yeah, upcoming price adjustments beginning with your
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: next building cycle on or after blah blah blah. The
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: month price for your residential plan will increase to one
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: hundred and thirty dollars a month. You will still enjoy
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: unlimited data for four KSE streaming, gaming, video calls, and
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: high speed connectivity. So they're just raising the price. There's
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: nothing necessarily new or more faster or whatever it. Uh,
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: you know, I'm not sure what the other what the
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: price was? I'm looking.
- 1:19:18Speaker 9: It's got like fifty five dollars, eighty five or one thirty,
- 1:19:21Speaker 9: So one thirty is like the top of the line.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: That's the resident residential max plan. We just have so
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: many people and so many things, yeah going on, like
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: the washer and dryer hooked up to the.
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: Yeah, toaster, don't forget the toaster.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and what was the other what was the
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: other app? The other app is called clove.
- 1:19:39Speaker 9: So this is an app if you always are like me,
- 1:19:42Speaker 9: where you're finding a bunch of recipes that people are
- 1:19:45Speaker 9: putting on like social media, like TikTok, Instagram.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: It's kind of tough to like track those.
- 1:19:51Speaker 9: This is a great app because you put the url
- 1:19:53Speaker 9: of Instagram or TikTok whatever in this app, and it.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: Goes through with AI.
- 1:19:57Speaker 9: It finds the whole recipe, the trans and it puts
- 1:20:00Speaker 9: it into this like clean, easy to follow format, but
- 1:20:03Speaker 9: also makes it look beautiful. And so you can create
- 1:20:06Speaker 9: a library of all these recipes that you and I
- 1:20:08Speaker 9: know you'll never ever make, but at least you'll have them.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and I are on board.
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: That sounds good because what I do is I see
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: a recipe that I like, like a video, and I
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: send it to myself and then I have to thumb
- 1:20:20Speaker 4: through a thousand messages to find it and say oh yeah,
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: and then pause it to see how to make it.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: This will make it a lot better.
- 1:20:27Speaker 9: And it's it's completely free, which is always always earns
- 1:20:30Speaker 9: high marks in my book. But it's just I'm telling
- 1:20:33Speaker 9: you it's I had a different recipe app that I
- 1:20:36Speaker 9: like that I was recommending. This one kind of blows
- 1:20:38Speaker 9: it away because it's free and unlimited, and it makes
- 1:20:40Speaker 9: your recipes look so nice.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: I might actually cook one of them. One of these things.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: It's called clove. You want to see it there we're
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: talking to Rich Darmiro Rich on tech And one final
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: thing here that I want you to talk about, because you, guys,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: we've heard about how people can set these different things up.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: You can chat with your dead relatives through like a
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: AI type of thing. Would you be interested in doing
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: that is a different question. Some people are really creeped
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: up by the idea of it. But what is There's
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: this startup that you were that you were mentioning Rich,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: that you can create basically like an AI version of
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: yourself and then this way people can chat with you
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: when you're when you're dead.
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: Oh weird.
- 1:21:21Speaker 9: Yeah, this is so weird. But it's like one of
- 1:21:23Speaker 9: those things that would you do is going to be popular?
- 1:21:26Speaker 9: I mean, I don't know. I feel like it's kind
- 1:21:28Speaker 9: of weirder for your family to have to deal with
- 1:21:30Speaker 9: this when you.
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: Die, you like, do you want to let me?
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: Like?
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: Do you want like let me as a living person?
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: Like?
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: Would you want your family talking to some AI version
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: of you?
- 1:21:39Speaker 4: I mean we'd be gone? Who would care?
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: No?
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: I No, I guess it's I think it's more about
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: introducing all the questions you want to ask. Yeah, And
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: I think it's more about introducing you to other family.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: Like if I had this from my dad, I could
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: tell my son like, hey, you.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: Know, check this out. This this was great, but you
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: don't remember very well.
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: It wouldn't for me. It wouldn't be mostly for me.
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: It would be to introduce him to others, which I
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: know sounds creepy. I kind of think that's cool.
- 1:22:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: So this one is called stamp Human and.
- 1:22:04Speaker 9: Basically you upload a picture of yourself, your voice, and
- 1:22:08Speaker 9: then you answer a whole bunch of questions about your
- 1:22:10Speaker 9: life and with a particular emphasis on your crazy college
- 1:22:14Speaker 9: years now, and then you just leave this bomb on
- 1:22:23Speaker 9: your grandkids when you die. You know, it's like, hey,
- 1:22:25Speaker 9: here's my crazy stories now. So you go through all
- 1:22:28Speaker 9: these questions, Here's how I learned the hard way.
- 1:22:31Speaker 10: This is cool.
- 1:22:32Speaker 9: You give it all this information and then it creates
- 1:22:34Speaker 9: this AI avatar. And there's different levels of service, so
- 1:22:38Speaker 9: they can chat with you by text, but the highest
- 1:22:40Speaker 9: level gives you, like an actual AI avatar that they
- 1:22:44Speaker 9: can fire up their computer, go to this website and
- 1:22:46Speaker 9: like ask you a whole bunch of questions, and you know,
- 1:22:49Speaker 9: obviously there's AI.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: So it's going to hallucinate some things, but it has.
- 1:22:52Speaker 9: Your life story, so it's it's I don't know, it's
- 1:22:55Speaker 9: kind of weird but kind of cool at the same time.
- 1:22:57Speaker 7: Yeah, I think I would ask my family would they
- 1:22:59Speaker 7: want that, because again, I'll be gone, who cares.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: It'd be kind of cool if you had one that
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: you can, you know, incorporate into a tombstone. Yeah, that's so.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: I've seen some of those where they have a video. Yeah,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: there's like a video playing. This is just a whole
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: different level. If you're seeing those, ask me about me.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: As people are like making their like their walk through
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: cemeteries and stuff. All right.
- 1:23:23Speaker 9: I always wanted to make one of those videos, like,
- 1:23:25Speaker 9: if you're hearing this, I'm gone.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: You make that you're setting yourself up for disaster.
- 1:23:31Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: Rich on Tech host of the rich on Tech Radio Show,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: which you can find on the iHeart Radio app or
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: wherever you find your favorite podcast. You can subscribe to
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: that free newsletter at richon Tech dot tv, and also
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: find them on social media at rich on Tech, rich
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: tim Soco Sports with the Gee Jeff, Good morning, Jeff
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: g h right, good morning.
- 1:23:56Speaker 18: When do you show the Angels broke their losing streak
- 1:23:58Speaker 18: and spectacular fast last night.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: Here's a plot.
- 1:24:01Speaker 19: Bolls well, bull tays batt near the wall that's gone.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: What a fish shut handout says good night to.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: The A's Halos were getting no hit up to that point.
- 1:24:15Speaker 18: Crazy ending. Same two teams tonight at the Big A.
- 1:24:18Speaker 18: Dodgers didn't fare so well down in San Diego. Yama
- 1:24:20Speaker 18: Moto pitched an excellent game again, but just like they
- 1:24:24Speaker 18: have all season, the Dodgers offense didn't support the World
- 1:24:27Speaker 18: Series MVP. Padres won, won nothing. Dodgers are a half
- 1:24:31Speaker 18: game behind the Padres and the NLS. Same two teams tonight.
- 1:24:34Speaker 18: Make sure you catch it on AM five seventy, our
- 1:24:37Speaker 18: sister station, or on the free iHeartRadio app.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: NBA.
- 1:24:40Speaker 18: Great freaking game last night between OKC and the Spurs,
- 1:24:44Speaker 18: double overtime instant Classic. Spurs came out on top one
- 1:24:47Speaker 18: twenty two point fifteen. Tonight, Nix and Calves Game one
- 1:24:51Speaker 18: of the Eastern Conference Finals at five pm.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: And finally this morning hockey.
- 1:24:54Speaker 18: Last night, the Canadians beat the Sabers in Game seven
- 1:24:58Speaker 18: and there was a full on riot in the streets Montreal.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Listen, think that this first targeted operation, we order you
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: to leave the site of the immediately. I mean, who
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: do you think they are? Philadelphia?
- 1:25:14Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:25:15Speaker 18: Celebrate a win by destroying our city makes a lot
- 1:25:18Speaker 18: of sense.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: Man, I'm Jeff G. And that's your so calcipports, Jeff,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: Men's have fun. Yeah, men, this is going to Montreal
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: this weekend. Well, a couple of dumb lawsuits in the news.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: Let's see, we'll start with this one. I'll start. I'll
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: start with the one that's I think the I think
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: they're both dumb. The one I think is the least
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: of dumb. Woman to California, assuing Fashion Nova, claiming that
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: the company violated federal quiet hour rules by sending her
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: promotional text messages too early in the morning. She says
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: that she received about eight marketing texts roughly seven twenty
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: four and seven thirty two am, which is before the
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: eight o'clock in the morning cut off under the Telephone
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: Consumer Protection Act. The lawsuit argue is that she never
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: gave proper consent to be texted, and is seeking to
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: represent a larger group of customers who also received early
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: or late promotional texts over the past several years.
- 1:26:24Speaker 4: Let's see, I don't hate that one. Yeah, it's it's
- 1:26:27Speaker 4: the it's so annoying.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: I mean, it's the rules. There's nothing that says like
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: you have to have your phone on ring or notify.
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: Just what Greg just did. Yeah, if Greg was just
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: talking about how he has his phone set up now
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: it only takes text from people in my contacts. Yeah,
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: if it's not in your con in your contacts, it
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: won't notify you, won't. Yeah, it won't be until you
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: go into your text that you even see it sitting there. Yeah. Right, Oh,
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: when did this come through?
- 1:27:00Speaker 7: One of these promo emails is just like every other
- 1:27:02Speaker 7: day with the same company, Like who are reading those
- 1:27:06Speaker 7: right or opening them?
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: And then and imagine thinking seven thirties early and then
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: this is another super dumb one. This is a German
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: tourist who won his case against a hotel in Greece
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: after they didn't have enough sun loungers to accommodate everybody
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: at the pool.
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: I mean, that's my dream.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: But the man paid eight thousand dollars for an eleven
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: day trip at a hotel and he tried to get
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: sun lounger seats with his family on multiple occasions, but
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: each time they were beat out by other guests who
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: got there first. Yeah, and there were a lot of
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: signs around saying, you know, people can't reserve seats just
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: by leaving a towel on them, But the guy says
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: those rules were ignored, the hotel staff didn't enforce it,
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: and at that point the man was fed up, and
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: so he sued the hotel, and the judge agreed with him. Oh,
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: he said that the vacation was deemed effective because the
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: family's needs were repeatedly unmet, and he awarded the man
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: over one thousand dollars for his pool troubles.
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: Okay, I mean, I'd rather them just get more sun chairs,
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: but I like it.
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: I don't really hate either of these lines.
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: Yeah, because I've been.
- 1:28:15Speaker 4: To resource where you have to get up so damn
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: early just to get a chair's fame.
- 1:28:20Speaker 14: Yeah, and it doesn't sound like a cheap place to
- 1:28:21Speaker 14: go vacation. It sounds like they should have enough accommodations
- 1:28:24Speaker 14: with how much.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: They just paid. Like they're not required to have a
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: lounge chair. They don't guarantee you a lounge chair, is
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: the point. And I just assume that it's kind of implied, though,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: is it. Well, you got a pool, you got lounge chairs.
- 1:28:36Speaker 14: Like, I mean, if it's a photo in the resort,
- 1:28:39Speaker 14: you're paying for the amenities, it's that impossible to get
- 1:28:42Speaker 14: a lounge chair.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: They see that to me, like, I don't.
- 1:28:45Speaker 4: Know if it's sue worthy, but you're.
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: Not assuming that they have one available for you, that
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: you know it's not going to be already taken by
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: the time you get there. It does. That's it's ridiculous
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: to me, as thinking about like when they have to
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: put on a professional driver close course, do not attempt
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: they have to put that on there? Could well you didn't.
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: Are we just supposed to assume that.
- 1:29:04Speaker 7: Staying out, I would assume that they would have at
- 1:29:07Speaker 7: least one lounge chair for me exactly.
- 1:29:10Speaker 4: And like you go to the way in the morning
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: and they're out of coffee. Well you just assumed you'd
- 1:29:14Speaker 4: get coffee Like.
- 1:29:15Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah, every single day of your vacation over eleven days,
- 1:29:21Speaker 14: and you never got a pool chair.
- 1:29:23Speaker 7: I mean I've been to resorts where they have like tiers,
- 1:29:26Speaker 7: like like three tiers of lounge chair where it's like
- 1:29:30Speaker 7: the ones that are just opened for everybody. Then there's
- 1:29:32Speaker 7: like the premium one, and then there's the ultra premium one,
- 1:29:37Speaker 7: but like there should be enough for the free ones
- 1:29:41Speaker 7: for everybody, for enough people that are staying at the resort.
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: So that would mean they'd had to have a lounge chair.
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: So if all rooms were double occupancy, you'd have to
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: have two lounge chairs sitting around the pool at all times,
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: just in case you were at full capacity. Yeah, yes,
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: I would never assume that that would be Like, I
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: don't know, but.
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: I I would never go to a resort assuming that
- 1:30:02Speaker 4: for the entire week, I not once got a chair.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: I'm not saying it's not a pain in the ass,
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: you know, and people don't get down there super early.
- 1:30:09Speaker 4: You're sticking up for the man so hard.
- 1:30:11Speaker 7: And I've never been to a resort where the entire
- 1:30:15Speaker 7: hotels at the pool.
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: You know what this is. This is in the same
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: bucket of annoyances of people calling the cops for dumb reasons,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: Like you could be annoyed by it, but you went
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: you filed a lawsuit because you didn't get a lounge chair.
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: That's not a hotel.
- 1:30:30Speaker 4: It's complain worthy. I don't think it's super.
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not you'd say, you know what, you guys
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: should have more lous you put it in your survey,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: a bad review, put it on trip Advisor. Yeah, but
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: you you went to a lawyer. I got one thousand bucks.
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: One thousand bucks seems to you paid eight grand for
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: the vacation. They gave you a thousand bucks that seemed
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: to be more of a go away.
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and how much for the lawyer.
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:30:50Speaker 4: But as far as that texting lawsuit goes, I'm on
- 1:30:53Speaker 4: her side too. If there's a rule that says you
- 1:30:55Speaker 4: can't do a promo text before eight am, don't do it.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: I also agree that's annoying. So I'm with you that
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: it is annoying. Yeah, I just don't know if I'm
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: going through the the whole lawsuit part of it.
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: Well, she fell on that sword. For everybody else.
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: I would just thank you for doing We all get
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: those texting calls. But that's why I love those features.
- 1:31:14Speaker 4: Yeah, oh do it if you haven't done it, and Gina,
- 1:31:17Speaker 4: I'll teach you how. Thanks if I can remember.
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: Also, this last reason where they have the tears of
- 1:31:23Speaker 7: lounge chairs.
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: Oh my god, the price for them. It was like
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: just sit It's like seventy five bucks. It's basically like
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: the same lounge chair just a different color.
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: It's like in a club, like you're paying to sit down.
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: Yeah, says it, yes, Sammy, Just so I started giving
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: out the phone number she's holding. She knows right, had
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: it ready sorry, text over to two seven, be right back.
- 1:31:50Speaker 16: Oh yeah, yeah, yes, God, your wheel of cars.
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: Let's go yesterday. Wendy Garcia of Artesia. She's spun in
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: one four hundred dollars. It's anywhere from three hundred bucks
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: to a year of gas on the wheel now Thursday
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: and Friday, we don't even need the wheel because each
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: day Thursday Friday, at eight o'clock hour, whoever wins will
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: just win gas for a year. But leading up to that,
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: we have the wheel and we're working three hundred bucks
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: to a year's worth of gases on there, looking for
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: caller number ninety eight eight seven seven four. Let's say
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: to say, what's up to Jose and Victorville. Jose, Jose, yeah,
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: you know, you know well, Jose, great news, you're getting
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: some free gas. You're caller number ninety eight. You're already one, yeah, yeah,
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: what Now we got to find out how much gas
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: you're gonna get. You have to choose who spins on
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: your behalf. Your options are Woody, Gina, greg or Menace.
- 1:32:58Speaker 5: Let's go with my boy Menace in it lid.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: Do that spins toward you? It spins towards right here
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: we go. Nice spin, nice even spin.
- 1:33:12Speaker 4: Give it all right, give it to me.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: I just don't want to spin again because I have
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: to run from the other side of the room. Big money,
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: come on, Oh it's it's okay, all right, all right,
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: all right, all right. It landed on three hundred dollars.
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: Now that that's the lowest amount on the wheel. Three
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: hundred bucks in free gas. Now, Jose, yes, let me
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: propose something. Okay, would you like to keep your three
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: hundred dollars in free gas? Or would you like another
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: spin to try to get gas for a year. But
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: here's the thing. If it lands on any other space
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: other than gas for a year, you get nothing, damn.
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: So it's like an doll or nothing. Proposal. Three hundred
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: bucks could be yours right now. You can walk away
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: three hundred bucks in games, or I'll give you another
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: spin to try to get gas for a year. But
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: I thought about this yesterday. That'd be fun.
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: I want to do that.
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: This is stressful.
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: Your choice Ose, I'm a man of chense spin it
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: for you want? Hold up, menace before you spin? Do
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: you want medicine? Spin again or do you want to
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: choose a different person? All right, menace, here we go.
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: Get a good spin.
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: If it doesn't land on gas for a year, you're
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: gonna you're gonna get nothing. And it's slowing down and
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: it's gonna land on. Oh my god, wait, what did
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: we do?
- 1:34:47Speaker 11: We didn't account for this.
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: It landed on the spin again. You got to spin again,
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: but this time.
- 1:34:56Speaker 17: Spin?
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: Third spin? Here we go. Man, it's kids getting weaker
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: and weaker with the spin.
- 1:35:02Speaker 18: I know.
- 1:35:03Speaker 19: God, come on, come on baby, Oh my god, dude,
- 1:35:19Speaker 19: it's like that is one.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: It's gonna it's gonna.
- 1:35:22Speaker 10: If you're just listening to this, you're gonna think this.
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: Has gotta be phony.
- 1:35:27Speaker 4: And face it's camera.
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: The legalities of the competition. We have to videotape the wheelspin.
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: We have.
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: It's all on video. Jose, you just won Gas for
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: a year. I believe.
- 1:35:50Speaker 10: That's hilarious.
- 1:35:52Speaker 4: You wouldn't have expected Hell no, I would have taken
- 1:35:55Speaker 4: the three hundred half dude, congratulations you won.
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: You didn't.
- 1:36:04Speaker 20: That's so higher a well, dude, gasp, congratulations, hang on
- 1:36:15Speaker 20: one second, man, We love you.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: Thanks, thank you so much.
- 1:36:19Speaker 2: Love you guys, and showed the show.
- 1:36:20Speaker 13: Thank you what.
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: He showed you.
- 1:36:22Speaker 2: I don't like the smell.
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: For talking. Just go back to the little conversation we're
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: having before the break. This woman, if you're just joining us,
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: she filed are dumb. That's a different person that the
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: woman was. The text dude German dude tourists. He won
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: his case against a hotel in Greece because they didn't
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: have enough sun loungers to accommodate everybody at the pool,
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: and so he was on an eleven day trip and
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: he said that he tried to get sun lounger seats
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: with his family on multiple occasions, but each time they
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: beat out by other guests who got there first, and
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: a judge actually agreed with them and said that the
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: vacation was deemed defective because the family's needs were repeatedly
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: unmet and a ward of this guy one thousand dollars
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: for his pool lounge.
- 1:37:13Speaker 4: Or trouble, and the resort was not enforcing the policy
- 1:37:16Speaker 4: that you can't reserve it with throwing a towel Yeah.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: My question is always like, how do you know? How
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: do you know if they're just like there or you know,
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: you put a towel down? I know, like when we
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: show up, because sometimes we'll show up, my wife and
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: I will show up with the pool, fold a towel,
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: flip flops whatever. We sit them there and they go
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: right in the pool. We're not setting everything up right,
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: we sit them now we're there, we're at the pool.
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're going to use the chair.
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: We're going to use the chair. But how how can
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: they differentiate between who just threw it down there?
- 1:37:48Speaker 2: There's just a bunch of like wet towels thrown on chairs.
- 1:37:51Speaker 2: Like what am I supposed to do with that?
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: Did you leave?
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: And you just are a big.
- 1:37:54Speaker 6: Right, Well, this goes back to what I was doing
- 1:37:56Speaker 6: with my guy who is who is not not per
- 1:38:00Speaker 6: trading at our gym, but had new people coming out
- 1:38:02Speaker 6: every hours. If if you stay there long enough and
- 1:38:04Speaker 6: you watch the behavior, you can make a determination. But
- 1:38:07Speaker 6: what this guy said, as German guy said and Greg
- 1:38:09Speaker 6: rightfully addressed, is he saw this. He saw that the
- 1:38:12Speaker 6: staff wasn't patrolling their own policy, believing their own policies.
- 1:38:16Speaker 4: They said we don't do that no more.
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: Yeah, how can they guess? How can they determine that?
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: We sometimes you have to take matters in your own hands.
- 1:38:23Speaker 4: Always, they probably have some way of keeping tracking what
- 1:38:27Speaker 4: someone doing it.
- 1:38:28Speaker 6: The way to do it is with someone complaints, you
- 1:38:30Speaker 6: send a staff member out there. They examine the situation
- 1:38:32Speaker 6: and they.
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: Fix it, and then they go, oh, I can't do anything.
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: Is that part of it? Part of the rush and
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: the excitement, guys, is like you're trying to get a
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: good spot at the parade, or you're trying to get
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: an a part of like you want to get up
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: like super early on your vacation. Jump three times. Yeah,
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: it's funny we're talking about. And then our buddy Jeff
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: Garcia Jeff g He said, man, his wife is nuts
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: with those lounge chairs because she will make everybody get
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: up at six thirty to get a chair. And he's like, Yo,
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: I'm on vacation. I'm not getting at six thirty.
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: You can go down at six thirty and reserve everyone chairs.
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: There's this woman I think she goes by pump Quinn
- 1:39:07Speaker 2: Spice Latte on Instagram. Oh but I like that she's
- 1:39:12Speaker 2: a comic. I think and she has a great policy.
- 1:39:15Speaker 2: I don't know if I could do it. I don't
- 1:39:16Speaker 2: think I could do it either, because we're not confrontational.
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: But she has a great policy when it comes to
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: her being at a resort and seeing a towel or
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: something on the table.
- 1:39:23Speaker 15: It might be controversial, but I sit at chairs that
- 1:39:26Speaker 15: already have tewels on them because I don't see them
- 1:39:29Speaker 15: as reserved because nobody's sitting there. You can't just put
- 1:39:34Speaker 15: some dingy towel from the resort on the best spot
- 1:39:37Speaker 15: in the house and leave for five hours while you've
- 1:39:40Speaker 15: daily dallied.
- 1:39:42Speaker 10: And if you think that's rude.
- 1:39:43Speaker 15: You think I'm being a bitch, that's fine, but I
- 1:39:46Speaker 15: will remind you that actually the policy is you can't
- 1:39:49Speaker 15: reserve chairs.
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: So if you're mad at me for stealing your.
- 1:39:52Speaker 8: Chair, that's not your fir.
- 1:39:54Speaker 15: And I'm gonna take your chair unless you have something
- 1:39:57Speaker 15: of value on it. You love the declaration of independence
- 1:40:00Speaker 15: on a chair. If you left some collateral, you're first born,
- 1:40:03Speaker 15: all right.
- 1:40:03Speaker 10: Fine, I'll leave your chair alone.
- 1:40:05Speaker 15: But if it's just a chair with a towel, and
- 1:40:07Speaker 15: girl and to take another chair, and I think you
- 1:40:09Speaker 15: should too.
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: See that's not bad. I like that. I was because
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: I was gonna says I'm listening to that. I'm like, yeah,
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: if you have if you have your bag and all
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: your stuff, like actual stuff, stuff that you wouldn't want
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: just to walk up, that must mean that you're somewhere close.
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: If you've left nothing of value of any kind, I
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: might say in your phone or your wallet or something
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: like that. But I guess just the hotel towel shouldn't count.
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: If it's just the towel, not a bad idea.
- 1:40:37Speaker 4: I would assume maybe if it was just the towel,
- 1:40:39Speaker 4: that they're already done.
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: What I'm saying, does that mean they're coming back? Does
- 1:40:42Speaker 2: that mean they're pigs and they left their towel.
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: You go to one of those fast casual restaurants that
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: you know you're just you leave your stuff there that
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: there's no place for you to go bus yourself, and
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: you're just waiting on them to collect everything. Like I
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: will take that table and I'll kind of push all
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: the dirty stuff to the side so you can get
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: that table clearly clear. They're done. They've left. There's no
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: personal items there, it's just the leftover train.
- 1:41:05Speaker 7: That's what I'm annoyed by the people that just don't
- 1:41:07Speaker 7: use the towel return. They will just leave.
- 1:41:09Speaker 6: I'm done with this, much like a shopping cart. Like
- 1:41:12Speaker 6: a shopping cart, and what they need is like a
- 1:41:14Speaker 6: tire chalking system. Yeahuse the pool tends walk around when
- 1:41:19Speaker 6: they see a possibly abandoned chair, leave like a little
- 1:41:22Speaker 6: green table tent or something, right, a little.
- 1:41:24Speaker 4: Stick Brazilian steakhouse. You got the red thing and the
- 1:41:27Speaker 4: green one, put it on.
- 1:41:29Speaker 6: And then when they come back half hour later, if
- 1:41:31Speaker 6: that green table tent is still sitting there, they may
- 1:41:33Speaker 6: I mean some of these resources.
- 1:41:34Speaker 7: They do have flags you can put up in front service, yeah,
- 1:41:37Speaker 7: for your service, and then.
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: They can well, we do have technology. Maybe it's one
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: of those where you get down to the pool area
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: and you scan in with like and that you get assigned.
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: You have two people that.
- 1:41:47Speaker 4: Could create an app called lounge you.
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: Have you have two people, All right, well, we can
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: send you over to these chairs over here of the
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: ones that are available here. You can have these two chairs.
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: But then when you but then when you leave the
- 1:41:57Speaker 1: pool area, on the way out the gate, like where
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: they're checking people coming and out, you have to scan
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: out saying that you're leaving and then they know those
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: chairs are now unattended.
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: That's a good idea.
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: It's like being seated at a restaurant there's a lounge hostess.
- 1:42:08Speaker 3: Yeh.
- 1:42:09Speaker 7: The resort that I did go to, they did have
- 1:42:11Speaker 7: QR codes on there, but that's to pay for food
- 1:42:13Speaker 7: and stuff the lounge chair.
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: I also feel like if you're a non confrontation that
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: you said, I wouldn't do it, and great, probably wouldn't
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: it because we're not confrontational people.
- 1:42:22Speaker 2: I couldn't relax if somebody was going to come up with.
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: Or stuff like that. I think you shouldn't be allowed
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: unless it's an actual crime. You shouldn't be allowed to
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: call the police on something chair. You should otherwise just
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: go have a conversation with the person are like it,
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: because all I don't want to have the conversation. I'm
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: just going to nark you out to management or cops
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: or whoever instead of just having an adult conversation with
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: whoever's pissing me.
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: Well, and what do you think management and cops are
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: going to do have a conversation. It's like they're going
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: to go in and arrest them, so they're doing your job.
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: Right. But my point is like you shouldn't be allowed
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: to use that service. It should only be after you've
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: had the conversation and there's still a dispute. And that's
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: my point.
- 1:43:01Speaker 2: That they're going to do what you didn't do.
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: Okay, ridiculous. Yeah, for the.
- 1:43:05Speaker 4: Launch chair thing, I wouldn't be too opposed to doing
- 1:43:08Speaker 4: that because the worst that could happen is somebody would say, oh,
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: I was using that chair all right.
- 1:43:13Speaker 7: You might get like a Sammy type, they'll call you
- 1:43:15Speaker 7: a slut and then try to.
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: You Yeah. Yeah. A lot of people are on the
- 1:43:21Speaker 1: text are saying, you know, there's a lot of resorts
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: they've noticed that if you just leave it just it's
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: just a towel, whether it looks like a newer towel
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: or one that's already been used, if it's just a towel,
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: the chair one, they come around, they collect them good
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: as they should, they'll just go around. Maybe that's the
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: way that they're Maybe that's the way they're doing that
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: to keep people from just claiming the chair of the towel.
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: Other people on to say, no, this is bs, the
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: towel is Dibbs. But for how long? And again you
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: have to wander off and do whatever.
- 1:43:49Speaker 2: This might be a summer project for.
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: You, eighty four Wooding. You can send us a text
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: over to two to nine eight seven. Give us your
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: thoughts there.
- 1:44:01Speaker 4: All right?
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: So Morgan went to UFC over the weekend.
- 1:44:06Speaker 10: Technically not you, No.
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: Netflix, Netflix, m m A whatever whatever. Jake Paul's production
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: is technically his m v P promotion. Okay, it was bad,
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: but yes it was okay. But she went to the
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: fight Arouse the friday exactly Nate Diz and she was
- 1:44:24Speaker 1: there and she was fangirl in that. Have you had
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: any more conversations with the guy.
- 1:44:28Speaker 10: Send into your d MS all day and all night.
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: Well, so are you going to see him?
- 1:44:34Speaker 1: Yes?
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: Not on your dime?
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: Oh god no, No, you're assuming that's gonna happen? Or
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: have you guys set something up?
- 1:44:39Speaker 10: Things are happening.
- 1:44:42Speaker 4: Wonder your smile?
- 1:44:45Speaker 10: Oh if I get on a private jet, does.
- 1:44:49Speaker 1: This guy have private jet money? He does? Okay, what's
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: going on here?
- 1:44:55Speaker 10: It's very simple? What's going on?
- 1:44:56Speaker 2: Can we just had to ride and then he'll never
- 1:44:57Speaker 2: see us again?
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: Morgan? Look, I like you, I'm looking out for your
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: first interest.
- 1:45:02Speaker 10: But what say it again?
- 1:45:03Speaker 6: This sort of situation screams not Morgan. This screams like
- 1:45:07Speaker 6: random Instagram ho.
- 1:45:08Speaker 10: Exactly, I get the opportunity.
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: I'm not saying I would. I'm not saying I wouldn't.
- 1:45:14Speaker 10: Do this is so rare for me. I'm not one
- 1:45:16Speaker 10: of those hoes.
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: Oh you've only been flown out to Cabo, you know,
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: last year, So I was.
- 1:45:22Speaker 2: At the beginning.
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right, you're right at the beginning. That's how
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: I got the name.
- 1:45:26Speaker 10: But you know, rich and borderline famous guys, do they
- 1:45:30Speaker 10: see something they want and they get it.
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:45:32Speaker 2: Girl, Okay, So I'm not thinking he's going to propose.
- 1:45:36Speaker 2: When she gets don't.
- 1:45:37Speaker 10: Want anything to do with him, I will make a
- 1:45:38Speaker 10: great side chick.
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: I think what saying is that you need to value
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: yourself more and not be.
- 1:45:48Speaker 9: You.
- 1:45:51Speaker 7: Are you saying that, I'm saying that he's shocked by
- 1:45:53Speaker 7: them saying this is this is unusual for a Morgan
- 1:45:56Speaker 7: type because.
- 1:45:57Speaker 10: Like, what did you see in me? I don't know.
- 1:45:59Speaker 1: Well, that's I mean, that's not what I'm saying specifically.
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: But you're you're telling her don't be an Instagram home.
- 1:46:04Speaker 6: I'm saying I'm not saying, don't do it. I'm just saying,
- 1:46:06Speaker 6: there's something weird about this, there's something screwy.
- 1:46:08Speaker 10: Maybe it's love at first sight. You never know. Yeah,
- 1:46:11Speaker 10: maybe I get married.
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: Oh damn, I do it if I were you. But
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: I'm still I'm still I.
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: Think I wasn't down for you to go to Cabo
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: with a stranger. I am so down for you to
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: be flown out to this.
- 1:46:22Speaker 14: But here's my question, a little bit to Seabasst's point,
- 1:46:25Speaker 14: which is how you said that you had a connection
- 1:46:28Speaker 14: right when you first met and all this stuff.
- 1:46:29Speaker 10: How come he didn't she received.
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: She perceived a connection, because that's how you do it.
- 1:46:33Speaker 7: You like wait for to see if you're tagged in Instagram.
- 1:46:38Speaker 10: We saw each other in passing, like we said two
- 1:46:41Speaker 10: words to each other. Oh okay, I need up and down.
- 1:46:46Speaker 1: So again this guy, he is a trainer for one
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: of the fighters. Correct and and and she recognized him.
- 1:46:55Speaker 10: Oh I've been a fan of his for years.
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: She already knew who he was.
- 1:46:58Speaker 10: It's called manifesting people.
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: That's true.
- 1:47:02Speaker 10: I hate that word, but it's true.
- 1:47:04Speaker 6: It's true because like I say this to guys, like,
- 1:47:05Speaker 6: you're not going to get women if you go to
- 1:47:07Speaker 6: work every day, you know, the electricity electricity factory for
- 1:47:11Speaker 6: the electricity they make electricity. Be around hot women if
- 1:47:14Speaker 6: you want to be around hot women. Same thing for Morgan.
- 1:47:17Speaker 6: Be around fighters if you want to be around fighters.
- 1:47:18Speaker 10: Yes, and it's paying off. Somebody get the mop out.
- 1:47:24Speaker 10: Oh my, they were mopping my seat a lot at
- 1:47:29Speaker 10: the fights though, Like the guys that work there will
- 1:47:30Speaker 10: come around because spill drinks and stuff like that, and
- 1:47:32Speaker 10: I kept mop in my chair and I'm like, you're
- 1:47:34Speaker 10: not spilling anything, yeah.
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: Just squirting. An awful woman is an average man just
- 1:47:43Speaker 1: saying what does that mean? I'm in other words, like
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: if a guy does this kind of thing, you know
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: he's just being a dude. Yeah, right, but like you know,
- 1:47:51Speaker 1: God forbid, Morgan's going down this road.
- 1:47:54Speaker 10: People hate to hear this, but I kind of act
- 1:47:57Speaker 10: like a guy and feel like a guy's deep down,
- 1:47:59Speaker 10: like I don't want to be in love and in
- 1:48:02Speaker 10: a relationship, Like I'm cool just having fun and doing
- 1:48:04Speaker 10: whatever I want to.
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: Do until until you're super down with until and I
- 1:48:09Speaker 2: say yes.
- 1:48:14Speaker 7: There's actually websites dedicated to this type of thing where
- 1:48:18Speaker 7: it's no no, It's called like under ten thousand where
- 1:48:22Speaker 7: it's attractive women that have under ten thousand Instagram followers
- 1:48:26Speaker 7: because most likely like a rich guy or a famous
- 1:48:30Speaker 7: guy hasn't slid into their d ms yet.
- 1:48:32Speaker 10: And he might think that too, like, oh she's not
- 1:48:33Speaker 10: ran through.
- 1:48:34Speaker 6: Maybe I'll Yeah, that's a smart move because I've always
- 1:48:39Speaker 6: said you got to find the hidden value, the hidden
- 1:48:41Speaker 6: gems undervalue companies as a Rupert Murdoch.
- 1:48:44Speaker 7: So yeah, there's websites dedicated where just like girl your
- 1:48:48Speaker 7: birth market and get on that.
- 1:48:49Speaker 10: I'm taking all these compliments, so keep on coming.
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: Well, Mary went to the fight over the weekend and
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: while she was there, she was talking to some people
- 1:48:58Speaker 1: and you ran into this one chick in particular.
- 1:49:01Speaker 10: Yes, her and her crew. They were lit and she
- 1:49:04Speaker 10: looked like a street fighter type girl, all right.
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: So she figured this would be a good opportunity for
- 1:49:08Speaker 1: another round of morgane. Could you kick their ass?
- 1:49:10Speaker 10: Yes, she has a lot of things to say about
- 1:49:12Speaker 10: y'all where she.
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: Has some photos from people on the show and she's
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: asking this woman who's all like drunk with her friends, Uh,
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: does you know do you think that you could beat
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: this person's ass?
- 1:49:22Speaker 10: Yeah, we've never done it with the girl before. So
- 1:49:24Speaker 10: this is good, all right.
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: We will we will, we will find out how that
- 1:49:27Speaker 1: goes for us. Coming up here next on the Woodies
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: Show eight seven seven show, we go right back to
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: Morgan on the Texas and just add ig whore to
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: your resume. Yeah girl, but with some fire emoji. So
- 1:49:45Speaker 1: I think they need it in the nicest way possible.
- 1:49:47Speaker 10: Well, I'm taking it a nice way.
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: Oh you'll be, you'll be taking it. This this trainer,
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: this UFC trainer, I guess it really well known UFC
- 1:49:57Speaker 1: trainer splid into her DMS and now they're now they're chatting.
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: You go from tripped the cabo to private jets. What's
- 1:50:04Speaker 1: after that?
- 1:50:05Speaker 10: I mean, sky's the limit the moon trips?
- 1:50:08Speaker 1: Now, would you be willing to uh get pregnant just
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: to secure your financial future?
- 1:50:13Speaker 10: Really, it's weird that I'm even thinking about this, because
- 1:50:17Speaker 10: the old met would have said, no.
- 1:50:18Speaker 1: Immediately, don't say anything, because just in case, just in case,
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: on the table, you don't. You don't want him to
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: hear anything that that might that yeah, that might.
- 1:50:29Speaker 10: Uh he's not worried about that.
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: She speaks as if she already knows.
- 1:50:36Speaker 4: Anyway.
- 1:50:37Speaker 10: Morgan went to Davison I wouldn't do that. I'm here
- 1:50:40Speaker 10: to spread love, not trapmans.
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: And your legs.
- 1:50:42Speaker 10: Apparently my legs are pretty strong.
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: Are you just jealous of Morgan's opportunity to perhaps get
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: on a PJ because you did one say that you
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: would go gay for a PJ.
- 1:50:51Speaker 10: Oh, you can come anyone.
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: I forgot about that, but he did say it. Were
- 1:50:55Speaker 1: also did he did? No one has said p J
- 1:50:57Speaker 1: except us, By the way. I just asked her, I said,
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: does he have private jet?
- 1:51:01Speaker 10: Yeah, I name dropped pig. He's on them all the
- 1:51:04Speaker 10: time and it's on my vision board at home. So
- 1:51:06Speaker 10: just kind of checks out, all right, So it's it
- 1:51:09Speaker 10: back to the the matter at hand.
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: So she went to the fight the Ronda Rousey you
- 1:51:16Speaker 1: know event over the weekend named Diaz, and she was
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: talking to people, you know they're at the event, and
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: this one woman just kind of stood out.
- 1:51:24Speaker 10: Yeah, she had a great aura about her. It was
- 1:51:26Speaker 10: very loud. So I wanted to talk to her. So
- 1:51:29Speaker 10: watch your ears because she's very excited.
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: Okay, all right, and so this is a round of
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: can you kick their ass? Where she shows people a
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: picture of somebody from the show from our show here
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: and ask these people at these fight events. Could you
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: kick this person's ass? And what's this person's name?
- 1:51:45Speaker 10: This is Cynthia, So this is just to get to
- 1:51:47Speaker 10: know her a little bit.
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: Okay, here's Cynthia.
- 1:51:49Speaker 10: Okay, what's her name, Cynthia?
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: What do you do? Fire, dim water, diamonds, mitigation?
- 1:51:59Speaker 10: What do you do for fun other than watch fight?
- 1:52:01Speaker 12: What do I do? I do watch fob I love.
- 1:52:08Speaker 12: Another thing I do love is.
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: Did you record this song piercing?
- 1:52:19Speaker 10: I got a new mic, but in order to take
- 1:52:21Speaker 10: it in the event, I had to get a really
- 1:52:23Speaker 10: small one that fit in my tiny purse. That was acceptable.
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: I would say, throw it the trash man. That's that's
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: an ear that's an ear piercing sound. All right, who's
- 1:52:31Speaker 1: the first person up here for? Can you kick their ass?
- 1:52:34Speaker 10: The one the photo? We've seen it before.
- 1:52:36Speaker 6: Okay, I'm very angry man to be there interrupted my nap. Yes,
- 1:52:42Speaker 6: they did that, they that they took while we were
- 1:52:44Speaker 6: here at work. No, no, no, no. I had to
- 1:52:46Speaker 6: come back because I did the first one. I didn't
- 1:52:49Speaker 6: know I was at the first one. They said you
- 1:52:50Speaker 6: want individuals? I said no, thanks. Then I got an
- 1:52:52Speaker 6: email from who knows who? Hey, we need individuals, And
- 1:52:55Speaker 6: I said, God damn it. So I came back at
- 1:52:57Speaker 6: a later date and.
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: Okay, well here we go. Could they kick sea basses ass?
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: Here's what Cynthia had to say.
- 1:53:02Speaker 10: This guy's name is Sea Bass. Can you beat him up?
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: Nul choke hold me?
- 1:53:06Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:53:06Speaker 10: He just looks he just looks sexy.
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: He does look.
- 1:53:12Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely.
- 1:53:13Speaker 10: What if I told you he has twenty three kids.
- 1:53:16Speaker 10: I have no more kids.
- 1:53:18Speaker 17: So that's okay.
- 1:53:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't matter her. She can't have any more kids.
- 1:53:22Speaker 1: She's she's goodding already. Come on, Now what about the
- 1:53:26Speaker 1: next person?
- 1:53:27Speaker 10: Who just?
- 1:53:28Speaker 4: Al right?
- 1:53:28Speaker 1: So can Cynthia beat menaces ass?
- 1:53:31Speaker 9: Now?
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: He's sitting there, he's got his arms crosses. He does
- 1:53:33Speaker 1: a lot of his photos. Yeah, just has like a
- 1:53:36Speaker 1: like maybe you said something that he's going to take
- 1:53:39Speaker 1: issue with. He's not smiling.
- 1:53:43Speaker 10: How about menace?
- 1:53:45Speaker 12: He looks kind of sweet, but yeah, I probably beat
- 1:53:49Speaker 12: him up, maybe FI round enough that I slap him.
- 1:53:51Speaker 10: I slap him moron a couple of times. Okay for
- 1:53:54Speaker 10: around her.
- 1:53:54Speaker 1: I like it all right, you know, and he might
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: like that.
- 1:53:57Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: He knows what medic is into.
- 1:53:58Speaker 10: You know, you know what just now, in this moment
- 1:54:01Speaker 10: this is live, I realized I didn't have Greg's audio,
- 1:54:04Speaker 10: So sorry, I didn't even ask her about you my table.
- 1:54:11Speaker 10: Next one's Vonn though and Vaughn. If you want, I
- 1:54:14Speaker 10: can give her your information because she has a lot
- 1:54:16Speaker 10: to say about it.
- 1:54:16Speaker 5: Now.
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: Vaughn's wearing a shirt that makes him look like that
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: white monster energy.
- 1:54:19Speaker 10: Can That's exactly what it looks like, shut out to
- 1:54:24Speaker 10: rock because of the sort of matching pants.
- 1:54:26Speaker 6: He could be on the street quarters talking about like
- 1:54:28Speaker 6: black Hebrews. Really yeah, kind of.
- 1:54:32Speaker 10: They're in my neighborhood every weekend.
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: Does she think that you think that she could beat
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: up Vaughn?
- 1:54:37Speaker 10: How about this guy?
- 1:54:38Speaker 12: Von Oh no, that's your tire. Yeah, you won't even
- 1:54:49Speaker 12: kidnap me. You won't beat me up, you choke me?
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: Are you interested in some non consensual yeah?
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: Vanna? How do you feel about this? Is this something
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: that you're open to? Should uh? Should we pass her information.
- 1:55:05Speaker 4: Along to her?
- 1:55:06Speaker 1: How do you feel about rape?
- 1:55:08Speaker 4: How big is she?
- 1:55:10Speaker 10: But that's a rude question. Well, I mean, look, got
- 1:55:12Speaker 10: she was probably five six, probably weighed like one twenty.
- 1:55:16Speaker 10: She's a normal sized Scott.
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: What do you think vo you know what, I'll take
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: a chance. All right, all right, all right, who's uh.
- 1:55:26Speaker 4: These things?
- 1:55:26Speaker 1: And this year?
- 1:55:27Speaker 9: Wait?
- 1:55:27Speaker 1: Whatever happened to Uh?
- 1:55:28Speaker 10: Girls can say what they want.
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: The chick from the from the poetry slam. Uh.
- 1:55:33Speaker 4: She actually came to Disney with me.
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: I know we've been talking. I know I met her
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: there and I thought like maybe this thing had uh
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: had progressed. So it's still in the casual stage. Still
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: in the casual yeah, but we're constantly the d ms
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: and conversating.
- 1:55:47Speaker 2: You held hands?
- 1:55:49Speaker 10: Oh good one?
- 1:55:50Speaker 1: Oh yes, hands and a bit more. She protects her
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: from an aggressive lady alight. Next up is could you
- 1:56:02Speaker 1: kick their ass?
- 1:56:03Speaker 10: A sweet little Sammy? Sammy and her floral skirt?
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: Yeah, a floral skirt? What do they call that shirt? Okay,
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:56:16Speaker 4: Is it called a halter?
- 1:56:18Speaker 11: Technically a body suit?
- 1:56:19Speaker 6: Her shoulder, her shoulders are out, Yes, that would be
- 1:56:23Speaker 6: that's that's too slutty for church.
- 1:56:26Speaker 4: All right?
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: So does this woman Cynthia at the fight thing that
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: she could beat Sammy's ass?
- 1:56:31Speaker 10: How about this girl?
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: She looks like the girl from the bar.
- 1:56:38Speaker 10: She's small, she's small.
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: But she looks sweet. Did she say girl from the bar,
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: girl from the barn.
- 1:56:49Speaker 10: Well, she was yelling at her friend like, oh yeah,
- 1:56:50Speaker 10: that's the girl we beat up the other day.
- 1:56:54Speaker 1: All right, Next up?
- 1:56:55Speaker 10: Alright, Gina Grass, Oh Gina.
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: Now Gina sitting there. She also has one of these
- 1:57:00Speaker 1: uh off the shoulder deal. But she's wearing like a
- 1:57:03Speaker 1: pair of blue jeans. Got her one hand in the pocket.
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: She's given like a awe shuck smile. Yeah, that's a
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: very that's a very genal look. Does she think that
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: she can kick Gina's ass?
- 1:57:14Speaker 10: She looks wear of tough skin. But yeah, well we'll
- 1:57:17Speaker 10: go a couple of rounds. Because when you have long nails,
- 1:57:21Speaker 10: all that.
- 1:57:22Speaker 12: Soccer before she gets her fingernails on me, I'm too fast.
- 1:57:26Speaker 10: Short bitches are fast. That's a fact. Short pitches are fast.
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: Okay, I like it that we'll go a few round.
- 1:57:32Speaker 1: What kind of bitches are fast? Short bitches are fast? Also,
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: she's she's she's professional because she's Scott in your nails,
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: she detail? Next up?
- 1:57:45Speaker 10: What do you it's your turn?
- 1:57:47Speaker 5: All right?
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: The regular Yeah, you know what, and in a more
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: pleasant look than normal off. I wouldn't call it a smile,
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: but it's a friendly kind of like.
- 1:57:57Speaker 2: A like a neutral expression with guy into the smile,
- 1:58:01Speaker 2: blat t shirt has house fellows.
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, so the Cynthia thinks she can kick
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: my ass? How about it?
- 1:58:08Speaker 10: Looks like a serial killer, so you can't beat him up.
- 1:58:14Speaker 5: I'll probably give.
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: Him some scratches. But he looks like a heavyweight man.
- 1:58:17Speaker 1: Yea for true.
- 1:58:20Speaker 2: Yeah, we were going on and on about how sweet
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: you looks.
- 1:58:26Speaker 1: Yeah, usually sea bass gets the nice he usually gets
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: that kind of description.
- 1:58:30Speaker 10: All right, next up, okay, bored our good old boarding?
- 1:58:33Speaker 4: All right?
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: Now bored? Of course? You know, long hair's got the goatee.
- 1:58:37Speaker 10: I didn't use his picture because we have a picture
- 1:58:39Speaker 10: of him screaming to the ceiling. Right, yeah, I didn't
- 1:58:42Speaker 10: want to scare up.
- 1:58:43Speaker 1: He's got like a long trench that he's got wearing.
- 1:58:46Speaker 1: He's wearing as an alien, like an alien necklace, swept
- 1:58:49Speaker 1: his ladylike hair in front of his shoulders, got them
- 1:58:52Speaker 1: all right? Does she think that she can kick board's ass?
- 1:58:55Speaker 1: All right?
- 1:58:55Speaker 10: What about him?
- 1:58:56Speaker 12: Oh, he looks like somebody I'll sing a song with.
- 1:59:00Speaker 10: What do you mean sing a song with?
- 1:59:01Speaker 12: He looks like a walker, like like your plays guitar
- 1:59:05Speaker 12: he's active.
- 1:59:05Speaker 1: He's active. He looks.
- 1:59:07Speaker 10: Oh wait wait, all right, okay, so it cuts off
- 1:59:10Speaker 10: at the end. It's chaotic, right, it cuts off at
- 1:59:12Speaker 10: the end because somebody in her crew is yelling Minji, Minji,
- 1:59:17Speaker 10: and I'm like, what Minji? So maybe the you know,
- 1:59:21Speaker 10: are a fan of the show. So I stop what
- 1:59:23Speaker 10: I'm doing, and I'm like, sorry, guys, I don't have
- 1:59:25Speaker 10: a picture of Minji. But how do you know Minji?
- 1:59:27Speaker 10: And then this is this last clip, so I don't know.
- 1:59:29Speaker 10: Wait wait, your friend is calling out Minji.
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they know him, Benji, that's her husband. I
- 1:59:36Speaker 1: don't have a picture. You gotta go to them too.
- 1:59:41Speaker 10: What so one of the girls was claiming that Minji
- 1:59:43Speaker 10: is her husband.
- 1:59:44Speaker 1: Man, you would you like to speak to this? Was
- 1:59:47Speaker 1: your lady at the was your lady at the event?
- 1:59:50Speaker 7: No, I was with my lady the entire weekend.
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: Maybe your side okay, where was your side, lady? Where's
- 1:59:59Speaker 1: your side?
- 2:00:00Speaker 2: Family?
- 2:00:00Speaker 1: Yeah? I have There was no time for any of them.
- 2:00:04Speaker 1: What if Menji was a guy who was like juggling
- 2:00:07Speaker 1: a bunch of chicks.
- 2:00:09Speaker 10: God, No, it's always the one you don't expect.
- 2:00:11Speaker 1: Absolutely, that's what that's my point Morgan.
- 2:00:13Speaker 10: Too sweet and quiet damn so yeah, sorry if I
- 2:00:16Speaker 10: exposed a lot, but they kept yelling your name, Man,
- 2:00:18Speaker 10: I couldn't ignore it.
- 2:00:19Speaker 2: You didn't get to the bottom of this because I
- 2:00:21Speaker 2: need more information.
- 2:00:21Speaker 10: Well, they kept saying like, oh, ask her, ask her,
- 2:00:23Speaker 10: they have pictures, and then they were.
- 2:00:25Speaker 1: Just information pictures.
- 2:00:29Speaker 10: Also, don't get the messenger. If your girl comes after me,
- 2:00:32Speaker 10: that's not fair.
- 2:00:33Speaker 1: I'm not there.
- 2:00:34Speaker 6: Nobody who's listening, who knows Magi's girlfriend. Make sure she
- 2:00:36Speaker 6: does not hear this segment.
- 2:00:39Speaker 2: This is strange.
- 2:00:41Speaker 1: It would just cause problems we don't want to have
- 2:00:43Speaker 1: because Menji is not a common name I ever heard of.
- 2:00:47Speaker 10: Even going back after the night, I you know, went
- 2:00:49Speaker 10: through the audio and I'm like, was he saying BINGI?
- 2:00:51Speaker 1: Oh maybe yeah, maybe it was because.
- 2:00:54Speaker 10: There was most like I ended that maybe she could go.
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: To Maybe she just started a period. She's saying, Menzies
- 2:01:02Speaker 1: trying to help you out, Benji, your secret life. Sorry,
- 2:01:06Speaker 1: another round of Morgan's can you kick their ass?
- 2:01:10Speaker 9: Close to us?
- 2:01:12Speaker 1: Somebody's fo get kicked yours more woody shows next, hang
- 2:01:19Speaker 1: on what you show? I will we have the opportunities
- 2:01:25Speaker 1: to get on the guest list for young Blood. You
- 2:01:29Speaker 1: still have another chance to do that between now and
- 2:01:32Speaker 1: nine o'clock and then every hour today. Nicole Aubaretz, booker instructor,
- 2:01:35Speaker 1: getting you set up young Blood at no Vacancy in
- 2:01:36Speaker 1: Hollywood on Saturday, plus more alternative income keywords. Still can't
- 2:01:43Speaker 1: believe somebody won gas for a year. It's not I
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: can't believe to many one gas for you. It's the
- 2:01:48Speaker 1: way it happens. Yeah, the way that it that it
- 2:01:51Speaker 1: all played out, all right, welcome back. It is the
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: Woodies show phones open eight seven seven forty four. Woody,
- 2:01:58Speaker 1: you can send us a text over the two two
- 2:02:00Speaker 1: nine eighty seven. So I was gonna say this person
- 2:02:06Speaker 1: is smarter than Sea Bass, you know, yeah, if you're
- 2:02:10Speaker 1: real about people like that figures. But I will say
- 2:02:13Speaker 1: that I don't think that's true, and you can you'll
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: understand when I get to why. It's a teenager in
- 2:02:21Speaker 1: North Carolina who earned an associate's degree while completing her
- 2:02:25Speaker 1: high school education, all while maintaining a four point zero GPA.
- 2:02:31Speaker 1: Her academic achievements resulted in acceptance offers from ninety one
- 2:02:35Speaker 1: colleges and universities and three million dollars in scholarship offers
- 2:02:41Speaker 1: that's well, you could cash in all those at once, right, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:02:45Speaker 1: now here's so okay, pretty smart there would be to
- 2:02:49Speaker 1: get that's that's how support it. Okay, now here, here's
- 2:02:53Speaker 1: her kind of loss. The argument for me, though, oh
- 2:02:55Speaker 1: well maybe not. She plans to attend Savannah College of
- 2:02:59Speaker 1: Art and Design or she will study graphic designs. Yeah,
- 2:03:03Speaker 1: with a minor in branding and averaging. Nothing wrong with SCAD.
- 2:03:06Speaker 1: I had a campus in Atlanta. I'm very familiar with
- 2:03:08Speaker 1: it right anyway, So I was like, oh cool, maybe
- 2:03:11Speaker 1: we should check that out and you can look into it.
- 2:03:13Speaker 1: But dude, graphic design in the age of AI seems
- 2:03:16Speaker 1: like not a smart choice. So I can't say. I
- 2:03:18Speaker 1: can't say this person is hands down smarter than see
- 2:03:21Speaker 1: but officially not. Yeah, there there's a there's an inquiry.
- 2:03:24Speaker 1: There's an asterisk. Did we say asterisk? Asterisk?
- 2:03:28Speaker 9: We say.
- 2:03:31Speaker 6: Most people say what her by the way associates degree
- 2:03:34Speaker 6: was in.
- 2:03:37Speaker 1: Just liberal arts something general the first couple of years.
- 2:03:42Speaker 6: I would have certainly taken advantage of something like that
- 2:03:45Speaker 6: had Internet's of courses been as prevalent as they are today.
- 2:03:48Speaker 1: When I was in school, like.
- 2:03:50Speaker 4: My first two years of college was community college and
- 2:03:52Speaker 4: then I transferred to four year school smart, but the
- 2:03:54Speaker 4: first two years it was just general led and then
- 2:03:57Speaker 4: you got an associate degree and what they called liberal arts.
- 2:04:00Speaker 1: Just a year.
- 2:04:02Speaker 2: Ioactically got an associated because of community college.
- 2:04:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it was interest, but it's such a it's such
- 2:04:07Speaker 1: a money saver.
- 2:04:08Speaker 4: Oh god, yeah, I would recommend that to everybody the
- 2:04:12Speaker 4: first year.
- 2:04:14Speaker 2: Give anything.
- 2:04:16Speaker 14: They still ruled at community college.
- 2:04:20Speaker 1: They did, trust, it's just different. You know what, you
- 2:04:24Speaker 1: know what community college it's like if you go there
- 2:04:27Speaker 1: for the first tea wheels, it's thirteenth and fourteenth grade
- 2:04:30Speaker 1: pretty much right, right, and then you go to college
- 2:04:33Speaker 1: after that, because then that's when you go to get
- 2:04:35Speaker 1: your actual classes for your major. And A totally support
- 2:04:38Speaker 1: it for the monkeys having aspect get too.
- 2:04:41Speaker 2: Much SCAT is a year forty three thousands. Yeah, that's
- 2:04:45Speaker 2: what it says right here.
- 2:04:46Speaker 6: On Okay, well, yeah, and arts and design is not
- 2:04:50Speaker 6: the kind of thing you need a certification in either,
- 2:04:52Speaker 6: like engineering medicine. Yes, arts and design is like coding,
- 2:04:58Speaker 6: you can do that anywhere, need time, and you don't
- 2:05:00Speaker 6: need professionals.
- 2:05:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm having the conversation with my son like, hey, look,
- 2:05:03Speaker 1: I want you to have the college experience. I told
- 2:05:05Speaker 1: you that's the thing. I'm kind of I regrets about
- 2:05:08Speaker 1: not having awesome. It watched out because I would have
- 2:05:12Speaker 1: gone to college and try to get a job in radio,
- 2:05:14Speaker 1: which I got anyway, So the end result was the
- 2:05:16Speaker 1: same on this, But what I missed out on I
- 2:05:20Speaker 1: missed out on the social aspect of the things that
- 2:05:22Speaker 1: people talk about about their college days that they have
- 2:05:24Speaker 1: so much reverence for. They just oh my god, it's
- 2:05:28Speaker 1: the best time in my life. But you know, I
- 2:05:32Speaker 1: have the conversation with him, like, yes, you have an
- 2:05:34Speaker 1: interest in this, and that's fine, you can study that,
- 2:05:37Speaker 1: But I would say, get your major in something that
- 2:05:40Speaker 1: is more transferable to something not so specific, right, like
- 2:05:45Speaker 1: graphic design is very specific things of that nature, as
- 2:05:51Speaker 1: opposed to business, like learn business, learn finance, but you
- 2:05:56Speaker 1: also know is that wrong? Well that's that's such a
- 2:06:00Speaker 1: and then you can study other things to get like
- 2:06:02Speaker 1: a minor or whatever, or.
- 2:06:04Speaker 6: If you really want an MBA. But like, business is
- 2:06:07Speaker 6: just a generic nothing. It's like communications, it's a generic
- 2:06:10Speaker 6: nothing degree that I mean, how many how many guys
- 2:06:13Speaker 6: did you know at state school, Gina who just got
- 2:06:14Speaker 6: business degree. Oh many, Yeah, that's just that's just like
- 2:06:17Speaker 6: I'm here and I just need a place. And that's
- 2:06:19Speaker 6: the other Like I wouldn't have been a good candidate
- 2:06:22Speaker 6: for a generic business degree because I would have ate
- 2:06:25Speaker 6: it hard and failed. So is there something that like
- 2:06:28Speaker 6: would that be working against your son's talents? I don't know,
- 2:06:32Speaker 6: Like he does he have that kind of brain?
- 2:06:34Speaker 1: I don't. Again, I think you can, well he does have.
- 2:06:37Speaker 1: He's very he's got like a he's got a lot
- 2:06:40Speaker 1: of like to be like an entrepreneur. Like he does
- 2:06:42Speaker 1: a lot of that stuff.
- 2:06:43Speaker 2: Like that every year, right with Halloween.
- 2:06:46Speaker 1: Yeah, buying and selling and taking this and reinvesting the
- 2:06:48Speaker 1: money and makes from this and investing.
- 2:06:50Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah, that's very business y.
- 2:06:53Speaker 1: Yeah right yeah right. So so what would it be
- 2:06:55Speaker 1: theres something more? Yeah? I mean I honestly, so they
- 2:06:58Speaker 1: could transfer to you know, a bunch of different things
- 2:07:00Speaker 1: and then you could take the other class figured you
- 2:07:02Speaker 1: can kind of take the other classes on things that
- 2:07:04Speaker 1: you are more specifically interested in, minor in that or
- 2:07:08Speaker 1: or an emphasis on whatever.
- 2:07:09Speaker 6: I don't I don't know that educational space if he's
- 2:07:13Speaker 6: truly looking to go to like a big business school
- 2:07:16Speaker 6: where that stuff matters. Sure, but again I've seen so
- 2:07:18Speaker 6: many like Genus. I've seen thousands of cases of guys
- 2:07:21Speaker 6: who just take business just because it's something and.
- 2:07:24Speaker 7: It's mostly just about the school you go to to
- 2:07:26Speaker 7: network later in life.
- 2:07:28Speaker 1: True, all right.
- 2:07:29Speaker 2: He'll be okay, we'll see he's a smart join fun.
- 2:07:37Speaker 1: All right, Thank you very much, Greg Gory. And that's
