Welcome to Nate's daily wager. I ain't picking winners, but I
• 0:10
am making wagers. Time to put my money where my
• 0:13
mouth is. This is Nate Staley wager for
• 0:20
May 8th, 2026. And that was a quite the roller
• 0:24
coaster there. Looked like Lakers were gonna
• 0:27
keep it close. They even took the lead for a
• 0:29
bit and I was wondering, thinking, ohh, man, they're not
• 0:33
gonna get blown out. Maybe they will keep this close.
• 0:36
But then fourth quarter came and I think they just too old and
• 0:42
reality set in. Thunder put the hammer down and
• 0:45
they were a little Thunderstruck, if you will.
• 0:48
Lakers that is. And at the end of the day,
• 0:51
almost got it to 20. Thunder did what they needed to
• 0:54
do, got the cover, got us the win, got us some money in the
• 0:57
  bank. So that's positive.
• 0:59
That's what we needed on the plus side moving forward into
• 1:02
the weekend. All right, so today it's Friday,
• 1:05
looking at some games. We got San Antonio heading up to
• 1:09
to Minnesota, taking other T Wolves.
• 1:11
  They are still favored. It's 4 1/2.
• 1:14
And I'm really fighting myself and thinking that it's the T
• 1:18
Wolves coming home. Place is going to be rocking.
• 1:21
They're one one. Are they going to steal 1
• 1:24
completely tonight or is the reality just the reality that
• 1:28
the Spurs are the obviously superior team, especially given
• 1:33
the last game and the blowout and just the aberration that was
• 1:37
game one getting Ant back and now things are just going to
• 1:42
regress to the mean and be what they are?
• 1:44
I really want to take the T Wolves and so that's telling me
• 1:47
go with the Spurs. So that's what I'm going to do.
• 1:49
I'm going to lay the points even though they're on the road, but
• 1:52
I know deep down they are the better team.
• 1:54
So we're going to go. San Antonio -4 1/2 against the
• 1:59
Minnesota Timberwolves in tonight's NBA Western Conference
• 2:03
  second round playoff basketball action.
• 2:06
See anything better than that? Pound it.
• 2:07
That's my pick and I'm sticking to it.
• 2:09
