Good morning. This is the Sacramento Brief, your

September 29th, 2025. Let's get you caught up.
• 0:20
For a weekend recap, Friday evening, deputies
• 0:23
say a Taco Bell on Sunrise Boulevard was robbed
• 0:26
at gunpoint. After a pursuit and standoff on
• 0:29
Rio Tinto Way, the suspect surrendered peacefully
• 0:32
just before 8 p .m. Suspect Donald Kavanagh is
• 0:35
now in custody. On Saturday night, around 8 .15
• 0:40
p .m., deputies responded to Marconi Avenue for
• 0:44
reports of a stabbing but found a man with a
• 0:46
gunshot wound to the stomach instead. He was
• 0:49
rushed to the hospital. His condition is unknown
• 0:51
and no arrests yet have been made as the investigation
• 0:54
continues. And yesterday morning, a pedestrian
• 0:58
was struck by a car near Executive Airport. Emergency

City Watch, Sacramento County has launched TaxSys,

• 1:27
in the mail, payable starting November 1st. They

say to expect greener, easier to read bills for

faster refunds and online payment options. If
• 1:39
you haven't received yours by October 15th, check
• 1:42
your bill online. In weather, we're looking at
• 1:47
  a high of just 74 today with a 30 % chance of
• 1:50
rain. Looks like we have a vehicle incident in
• 1:54
traffic news just off of Exposition Boulevard
• 1:59
at State Route 51. No additional details. It
• 2:03
looks like a silver vehicle on the right -hand
• 2:07
shoulder there, so it could cause a delay, so
• 2:09
be careful there. In events tonight, the Guild
• 2:13
Theater, Malcolm Stokes, and the Gophers coast
• 2:16
