- 0:00Speaker 1: Radio 507 News Radio 570 WKBN. Ron Verb from the
- 0:05Speaker 1: Kingdom of Mahoning here this afternoon on News Radio 570
- 0:07Speaker 1: WKBN on a Monday, May 11th, 61 degrees. And all right, Emmanuel,
- 0:12Speaker 1: go ahead and finish your comments.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Oh, what was the last thing you hear about the
- 0:17Speaker 2: state of Ohio or Virginia or what?
- 0:20Speaker 1: From you?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Yeah, just now.
- 0:23Speaker 1: You remind me of when my wife says something to me.
- 0:26Speaker 1: You know, my wife was just, you remind me of
- 0:28Speaker 1: my wife the other day. She was telling me she says,
- 0:31Speaker 1: you know, your problem is you're not a very good listener.
- 0:34Speaker 1: And I forget what she was saying after that, but anyway.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I'll give you a cliff note real quick, right?
- 0:45Speaker 1: That's the oldest joke in the world that didn't work
- 0:47Speaker 1: on you.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Well, it works on my daughter. She's in school.
- 0:50Speaker 1: All right, go ahead.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Now, like I told you before, NTD, said, you know,
- 0:58Speaker 2: several times that Donald Trump told her that he can't
- 1:02Speaker 2: release the F-10 files because it would hurt his friends. Now,
- 1:06Speaker 2: he's a president, and he's a Republican. Now, Comer, who
- 1:12Speaker 2: has a committee doing investigations at the House... is bringing
- 1:18Speaker 2: in cabinet members, and he wants Pam Bondi to come in.
- 1:23Speaker 2: But they're not up under oath, like every other single
- 1:27Speaker 2: Democrat had to do, Clinton and all those guys, call
- 1:31Speaker 2: me all those guys, at the risk of being charged
- 1:35Speaker 2: with perjury, right? The Republicans that come there do not
- 1:39Speaker 2: take the oath. They are not in front of cameras.
- 1:42Speaker 2: They're behind closed doors, and they're taking a transaction. And
- 1:46Speaker 2: if they said at one time in front of the
- 1:49Speaker 2: camera up under Oak, right, that they went to the
- 1:53Speaker 2: Epstein Island, they asked them about it back there, and
- 1:56Speaker 2: they say, well, I don't remember saying that. Well, guess what?
- 1:59Speaker 2: You're not up under Oak, and so you're not in trouble.
- 2:03Speaker 2: So that's okay. So they're Republicans. Now you go to
- 2:06Speaker 2: the state of Ohio. We already found out about the
- 2:10Speaker 2: fraud that's going on. That's after one of the biggest
- 2:13Speaker 2: scandals in the history of Ohio when it comes to
- 2:16Speaker 2: the electric company, right? And to make matters worse, and
- 2:20Speaker 2: this is the one that just got me wrong, you
- 2:23Speaker 2: have elected officials, Republicans, that have been getting money from
- 2:29Speaker 2: the extreme class people. So now, I just want to say,
- 2:33Speaker 2: I got to say this, two things that kind of
- 2:35Speaker 2: make me mad about this. Number one, can't they find
- 2:38Speaker 2: an old black guy that went to the islands? Are
- 2:40Speaker 2: they all white? And number two, right, find a Democrat. Because, listen,
- 2:46Speaker 2: all these things are Republicans.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And you have to be.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Halfway insane to say it would be worse with the Democrats.
- 2:55Speaker 2: You say what?
- 2:57Speaker 1: Well, first of all, when it comes to Epstein Island,
- 2:59Speaker 1: there's plenty of Democrats that were on that island as well,
- 3:01Speaker 1: and many of them, as you've seen. Name them. Well, okay.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Who was the guy? Summers. Larry Summers was one of them,
- 3:11Speaker 1: if you remember him.
- 3:12Speaker 2: He wasn't a politician.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yes, he was. He was a... He was in the
- 3:17Speaker 1: cabinet of one of the..
- 3:19Speaker 3: He never ran for nothing.
- 3:21Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. He was involved. He worked for Obama.
- 3:25Speaker 1: There were many of them that have quit their jobs
- 3:30Speaker 1: or left in disgrace. And there are Democrats that were
- 3:34Speaker 1: in there. But that doesn't matter. It doesn't matter to
- 3:36Speaker 1: me if they're Democrats or Republicans when it comes to
- 3:39Speaker 1: the situation with Epstein. I'll say to you, which I'll
- 3:42Speaker 1: say again, I believe everything should be released. But I'm
- 3:46Speaker 1: not going to give Joe Biden a pass or the
- 3:48Speaker 1: Democrats a pass. When they were in power, they could
- 3:50Speaker 1: have done exactly that, and they choose to do nothing
- 3:52Speaker 1: with it. So, no, I'm not finished yet. I listen
- 3:57Speaker 1: to you talk, and the reality is all of them
- 4:00Speaker 1: could have done anything when it comes to this particular situation.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I don't understand why Trump did a 180 on it
- 4:07Speaker 1: when he said, you're talking about that? That's old news. No,
- 4:11Speaker 1: it's not old news. And I think it hurt his
- 4:14Speaker 1: reputation and his presidency that he didn't do what he
- 4:18Speaker 1: said he would do when he was campaigning. But I
- 4:20Speaker 1: also think there's fair criticism that can be passed along
- 4:23Speaker 1: on Biden and his administration for not releasing this stuff
- 4:26Speaker 1: at that particular time. I don't give a damn if
- 4:29Speaker 1: it's Republicans or Democrats. As I've said numerous times, Epstein
- 4:33Speaker 1: was created by the intelligence community, whether that's Israel and
- 4:36Speaker 1: the United States or just Israel. He was created. He
- 4:40Speaker 1: was he was manufactured. His purpose was to take these
- 4:46Speaker 1: people of financial influence or political influence and get something
- 4:49Speaker 1: on him to control him. And I think that's and
- 4:52Speaker 1: people knew what was going on at Epstein Island and
- 4:55Speaker 1: on that plane, just based on what what the folks
- 4:59Speaker 1: referred to as far as. pedophile islands and what they
- 5:02Speaker 1: named the plane. So I don't think it was some
- 5:05Speaker 1: big secret there as to what was going on. And
- 5:09Speaker 1: I think everyone should be held accountable because basically you
- 5:12Speaker 1: have victims that are underage girls that were engaged in
- 5:17Speaker 1: sexual activity. They were children with these people like the
- 5:21Speaker 1: likes of Prince Andrew and others who you're obviously innocent
- 5:25Speaker 1: till proven guilty, but I would like to see a
- 5:27Speaker 1: lot more action take place. And that is what, that's
- 5:31Speaker 1: why he's got a beef, I think, Trump does with
- 5:34Speaker 1: Marjorie Taylor Greene and with Thomas Massey and with Bo
- 5:39Speaker 1: Barts and others that say, release everything. Everything should be released.
- 5:45Speaker 1: We should get to the bottom of this. And I
- 5:48Speaker 1: think if you do find you'll get to the bottom
- 5:50Speaker 1: of it, you'll find a lot of Democrats involved in it,
- 5:53Speaker 1: probably more Democrats than Republicans, but I don't give a
- 5:56Speaker 1: damn what party they're with.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Why would you say that?
- 5:58Speaker 1: Well, because you take a look at the– not the financial.
- 6:01Speaker 1: You take a look at the political persuasion of Epstein
- 6:04Speaker 1: was heavily into the Democrat community and the Democrats. I mean,
- 6:09Speaker 1: do I– No, I'm not assuming it. So do I
- 6:13Speaker 1: know that– Give me some receipts, Ron. Listen, you can't
- 6:17Speaker 1: have it one way and not the other, okay? You
- 6:20Speaker 1: have Democrat lawyers. You have many people, and you fail
- 6:23Speaker 1: to actually follow it as it's going along, whether it's
- 6:27Speaker 1: Larry Summers and other Democrats that have left their positions
- 6:30Speaker 1: of employment, lawyers, college people, and others that have left
- 6:35Speaker 1: that are primarily Democrats that have left disgraced because they've
- 6:40Speaker 1: been tied to Epstein. But I don't care if they're
- 6:43Speaker 1: Democrats or Republicans, once again. I don't think anybody should
- 6:47Speaker 1: get a pass on it at all. And I don't
- 6:50Speaker 1: know why Biden didn't release this stuff. I don't know
- 6:52Speaker 1: why Trump didn't release all of it. He's released more
- 6:54Speaker 1: of it than anyone, but that's not enough. So I
- 6:57Speaker 1: leave it at that. I mean, I don't know what
- 6:59Speaker 1: more you want. I don't know what more you want done.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I would agree that the focus should be the victims.
- 7:06Speaker 1: But I don't think you'll find this out, and I'll
- 7:07Speaker 1: tell you specifically why. Because I think it's an intelligence operation,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and I think that that is why you will find
- 7:15Speaker 1: nothing out, and I don't believe many of these people
- 7:17Speaker 1: will ever be brought to justice because of who was
- 7:20Speaker 1: really behind it.
- 7:22Speaker 2: You know what I want, Ron? You know what I really,
- 7:25Speaker 2: really want? I want Whoever goes in front of the
- 7:28Speaker 2: committee to be sworn in.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I think everybody should be. I totally agree. Everyone should
- 7:34Speaker 1: be sworn in. I don't know. I haven't actually looked
- 7:40Speaker 1: at that to even be able to verify it. But
- 7:42Speaker 1: I don't know. Thanks.
- 7:44Speaker 4: I know.
- 7:45Speaker 5: I know.
- 7:46Speaker 1: But here's my problem with you.
- 7:47Speaker 6: No offense.
- 7:48Speaker 1: You want a Republican since Republicans in that venue. Then
- 7:51Speaker 1: I talk to you about the Democrats and it's like
- 7:53Speaker 1: you're oblivious to all the Democrats that have quit. Do
- 7:56Speaker 1: you give a damn about any of the Democrats that
- 7:58Speaker 1: were involved in it? Do you do you know Epstein
- 8:01Speaker 1: was funding mainly the Democrats?
- 8:03Speaker 3: Listen, listen, Ron.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I'm the same guy.
- 8:05Speaker 1: That told you. No, you're not. Does it bother you
- 8:11Speaker 1: at all that Maxwell was at Clinton's wedding? Their daughter's wedding?
- 8:17Speaker 1: Does that mean anything to you? Or does that mean
- 8:20Speaker 1: nothing because they're Democrats? That she actually attended Chelsea's wedding?
- 8:24Speaker 2: Well, you didn't say the pedophiles, Ron. Go ahead.
- 8:27Speaker 1: No, I mean, she's behind it. Does it bother you
- 8:30Speaker 1: that you see Bill Clinton in a hot tub with
- 8:32Speaker 1: those women? Or was that just a pass?
- 8:35Speaker 2: He was not underage.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Oh, come on. All right. We're wasting time. You're on
- 8:40Speaker 1: the air.
- 8:40Speaker 7: I don't want to waste your time, but I think
- 8:44Speaker 7: I was glad to hear that you said, you know,
- 8:46Speaker 7: give Donald Trump a chance to go through with whatever
- 8:50Speaker 7: plan he has. And, you know, I don't know about
- 8:53Speaker 7: the polls. The majority of people don't want to be
- 8:56Speaker 7: in Iran or whatever. But I do know about the
- 8:59Speaker 7: amount of people on September 10th of 2001 who that
- 9:03Speaker 7: had no idea that there were going to be two
- 9:04Speaker 7: planes flying into the World Trade Center. But I know
- 9:08Speaker 7: how they felt the day after. I know how I felt.
- 9:12Speaker 7: I don't want a nuclear bomb going off in New
- 9:14Speaker 7: York City. And a lot of this has to do
- 9:16Speaker 7: with Donald Trump loving New York City. But I just
- 9:21Speaker 7: can't understand that.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I will say this to you. Unless you have the
- 9:27Speaker 1: public support on something, and I can appreciate your passion,
- 9:31Speaker 1: but you better take a look back at Vietnam and
- 9:33Speaker 1: all the rest of this stuff that has gone on.
- 9:35Speaker 1: If you don't have the public behind it, it doesn't succeed.
- 9:38Speaker 1: We have not had a very good track record in
- 9:40Speaker 1: the Middle East at all with regime changes or any
- 9:43Speaker 1: of the military actions that we've taken in the Middle East.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Afghanistan and the soldiers that were killed and hurt in
- 9:50Speaker 1: Afghanistan were killed and hurt for nothing. It was given
- 9:53Speaker 1: back to the terrorists with all the equipment and in
- 9:56Speaker 1: better shape than when we took it. And if you
- 9:59Speaker 1: take a look at the other situations with regime change
- 10:02Speaker 1: in Victoria-Newland and what they did in the Middle East,
- 10:05Speaker 1: most of it was a failure. And most of those
- 10:08Speaker 1: deaths were unfortunate that took place. This situation is not going,
- 10:13Speaker 1: in my opinion, as well as he thought it would go,
- 10:16Speaker 1: as quick as he would think it would go. And
- 10:18Speaker 1: if the vast majority of people in your country do
- 10:20Speaker 1: not support it, we're a government that's represented by and
- 10:25Speaker 1: from the people. And if they don't support it, then
- 10:28Speaker 1: that tells you, should they be ignored? Should we say
- 10:31Speaker 1: that they're all idiots? Should we attack anybody who thinks
- 10:35Speaker 1: Israel didn't have a lot behind getting him involved in
- 10:39Speaker 1: this or letting him believe that this would be over quickly?
- 10:42Speaker 1: Should we just attack people for expressing a different opinion
- 10:45Speaker 1: on it? Should we say to people that are bitching
- 10:47Speaker 1: about the price of gas, oh, it's no big deal?
- 10:50Speaker 1: It's a small price to pay? Do you think a
- 10:54Speaker 1: lot of people were losing sleep at night thinking, well,
- 10:57Speaker 1: to quote G2, do you think if Iran launched a
- 10:59Speaker 1: nuclear weapon towards the United States that the United States
- 11:02Speaker 1: wouldn't obliterate them in the blink of an eye? That
- 11:04Speaker 1: they knew better than to do something like that? That
- 11:06Speaker 1: it wasn't really a threat to the United States of
- 11:09Speaker 1: America because they knew what we could do? Are you
- 11:13Speaker 1: confident you're not being sold a bill of goods? Those
- 11:15Speaker 1: are all questions worth asking.
- 11:19Speaker 7: Yeah, that's very, very true. I agree with that line.
- 11:24Speaker 7: The idea being, why would we allow nuclear enrichment to
- 11:33Speaker 7: go on at all in Iran? Knowing how crazy those
- 11:36Speaker 7: people are, and that if they had the opportunity to,
- 11:40Speaker 7: they would... Make sure a bomb got over here. Not
- 11:43Speaker 7: necessarily by a missile, but, you know, just like they
- 11:48Speaker 7: inserted those people that blew the planes into the freight center.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I think terrorism is always going to be a threat
- 11:56Speaker 1: to the United States of America from the Middle East, period. Now,
- 12:00Speaker 1: would you like to go over and conquer the entire
- 12:01Speaker 1: Middle East? Because I think it's, and last time I checked,
- 12:09Speaker 1: where were those terrorists from? What nation? What area?
- 12:13Speaker 7: They were from Saudi Arabia.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Yes. And was it not a flaw that they knew
- 12:21Speaker 1: that they were in this country and they knew what
- 12:23Speaker 1: they were up to and your government failed you by
- 12:28Speaker 1: not acting on it?
- 12:30Speaker 7: And what part of the government was that?
- 12:32Speaker 1: All parts of the government, whether that's the CIA, FBI,
- 12:35Speaker 1: whether that's the administration, they all failed miserably at stopping it.
- 12:39Speaker 1: They knew they were here. They were well aware that
- 12:42Speaker 1: they were here. They knew what was going on, and
- 12:46Speaker 1: they didn't do anything. I think your own country failed
- 12:49Speaker 1: you in stopping September 11th. I think it could have
- 12:54Speaker 1: been prevented. And it should have been. But it wasn't.
- 13:01Speaker 1: And maybe you should look into what was known by
- 13:06Speaker 1: all the parties involved before September 11th happened and why
- 13:09Speaker 1: wasn't more done. I think that's a fair question to ask.
- 13:14Speaker 1: But how far do you want to go with Iran?
- 13:17Speaker 1: Do you want to get involved in a boots on
- 13:19Speaker 1: the ground? It's a difficult situation. I know we're not there,
- 13:24Speaker 1: but do you want to go there? Surrounded by mountains
- 13:27Speaker 1: in one of the hottest deserts you'll ever find? How
- 13:31Speaker 1: easy do you think that will be and how far
- 13:32Speaker 1: it is from the United States of America? How successful
- 13:36Speaker 1: have we been in the Middle East? I'm asking you.
- 13:40Speaker 7: It's been a management issue. It hasn't been the soldiers' fault,
- 13:44Speaker 7: for sure.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I don't know that it's a management issue. Take a
- 13:49Speaker 1: look at the logistics of it, where it's located, the mountains,
- 13:53Speaker 1: the desert. Look at Vietnam. A lot of times people
- 13:58Speaker 1: that fight because this is their homeland and where they
- 14:00Speaker 1: live know that you're going to go back home. And
- 14:11Speaker 1: Iran would say to you, who are you to tell
- 14:13Speaker 1: us we can't? We're not subject to the United States.
- 14:17Speaker 1: We're a separate country. We're worried about Israel. They'll say,
- 14:21Speaker 1: why can Israel have a nuclear weapon and we can't
- 14:23Speaker 1: have one as a deterrent? Why do these? Why can
- 14:26Speaker 1: Egypt have one? Why can these other places have them?
- 14:30Speaker 1: I mean, that's going to be their argument. Who are
- 14:32Speaker 1: you to tell us we can't have one?
- 14:35Speaker 7: Well, it doesn't matter what that argument is. If they
- 14:38Speaker 7: get one, they will use it. It's not like it's
- 14:42Speaker 7: a political lever. It's the fact that if they get one,
- 14:46Speaker 7: they will use it, Ron.
- 14:49Speaker 1: They will use it. Well, do you think that they
- 14:52Speaker 1: have that ability as it sits right now after the
- 14:55Speaker 1: bunker buster and after all the bombing that took place?
- 14:58Speaker 1: Do you think that hasn't set them back?
- 15:00Speaker 3: We don't know.
- 15:01Speaker 8: Okay.
- 15:01Speaker 3: We don't know.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Well, I suggest you hop on a plane and go
- 15:04Speaker 1: over there. We'll be back in a minute. By Estella's Pharma.
- 15:07Speaker 5: 570 WKBN.
- 15:07Speaker 6: You're on air.
- 15:13Speaker 9: Yes, I just wanted to let everybody know if they
- 15:15Speaker 9: wanted to sign the property tax petition that the girls
- 15:17Speaker 9: are at Top Notch Diner tonight until 7. Apparently, there's
- 15:21Speaker 9: a car show there, so they'll be collecting signatures. And
- 15:24Speaker 9: then I wanted to comment. I don't know if you
- 15:25Speaker 9: saw on the May 2nd weekend edition, the editorial that
- 15:29Speaker 9: they wrote about our movement, Axe Ohio Tax.
- 15:32Speaker 1: I did not.
- 15:33Speaker 9: It was a hit piece. It was a hit piece,
- 15:37Speaker 9: and they told everyone that it's doomed, and they told everyone,
- 15:40Speaker 9: do not sign the petition.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Who's they?
- 15:43Speaker 9: The editorial in the Vindicator, it says, quote, individuals should
- 15:48Speaker 9: resist the very real temptation to sign Axe Ohio tax
- 15:51Speaker 9: ballot access petitions. Can you imagine that, a newspaper? I mean,
- 15:56Speaker 9: we have a right to petition our government, don't we?
- 15:58Speaker 1: Right, absolutely.
- 15:59Speaker 9: Apparently, the Vindicator doesn't think so. So this came out
- 16:02Speaker 9: on May 2nd, and then May 3rd, I emailed them
- 16:06Speaker 9: a response, and of course they didn't print it this weekend.
- 16:08Speaker 9: Of course not, because they don't do two sides. They're
- 16:11Speaker 9: just completely biased.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I tell you what, call me tomorrow and read me
- 16:19Speaker 1: their editorial.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:21Speaker 9: All right.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Sounds good.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 16:22Speaker 1: You're on the air. Ron. Yeah.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Ron.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Running out of time. Got to be quick tonight.
- 16:31Speaker 7: I'll call back.
- 16:33Speaker 1: No, no. Okay. Call back. You're on the air.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Hello, Ron. Yes. My opinion, quick opinion about what's going
- 16:43Speaker 4: on in Iran.
- 16:44Speaker 10: Okay.
- 16:47Speaker 4: Trump has a meeting, I believe, a summit or whatever
- 16:50Speaker 4: with Xi this week.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Yes.
- 16:54Speaker 4: And I look, there's going to be a lot of
- 16:55Speaker 4: stuff discussed at that summit or whatever. And I believe
- 17:00Speaker 4: a gentleman covered the callers before. And it's not $ 5.
- 17:06Speaker 4: It's gone down a little bit. Diesel's gone up. a
- 17:10Speaker 4: cheap price for getting rid of the problem with Iran.
- 17:13Speaker 4: I believe, in my opinion, that this whole situation is
- 17:16Speaker 4: going to be over by the end of the month,
- 17:20Speaker 4: if one way or the other. And it's just my opinion.
- 17:26Speaker 4: People forget about 9-11. They forget that, although the Iran
- 17:31Speaker 4: has been devastated quite a bit, they could still have
- 17:35Speaker 4: a dirty bomb, put it on a foreign ship, slide
- 17:38Speaker 4: under a foreign flag, dock it off the coast of
- 17:41Speaker 4: either California or New York and launch it. And it'd be,
- 17:46Speaker 4: you know, very devastated. So that's my opinion. This thing
- 17:50Speaker 4: is going to be over within three, three and a
- 17:53Speaker 4: half weeks.
- 17:54Speaker 1: We'll see.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 17:56Speaker 1: You're on here.
- 17:57Speaker 7: Ron, I just called to say, we got to go.
- 18:01Speaker 1: No, you got to go.
- 18:01Speaker 3: All right. I got to go.
- 18:04Speaker 1: You're on here.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Is the wall going to be built by November 3rd?
- 18:11Speaker 1: Which wall?
- 18:13Speaker 3: Southern border.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Well, you could, God, you would like to, by November 3rd?
- 18:21Speaker 3: Yes, midterm elections.
- 18:25Speaker 1: I doubt it.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Have G2 explain to you the three branches of the government.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Why should I have them do that?
- 18:38Speaker 3: They control the three branches of the government.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Well, who controls it?
- 18:43Speaker 3: It'll be after November 3rd.
- 18:48Speaker 1: All right. You don't make a lick of sense to me,
- 18:49Speaker 1: but I appreciate your call. NewsRadio 570 WKBN. All right.

- 19:34Speaker 6: up on Guardians Warm-Up. This is Cleveland Guardians Baseball.

- 20:25Speaker 6: Good evening, everyone. Welcome to the Bet365 Guardians warm-up show
- 20:29Speaker 6: tonight from Progressive Field in downtown Cleveland. It's the Guardians
- 20:34Speaker 6: and the Los Angeles Angels, the opening game. of a
- 20:38Speaker 6: three-game series. Jim Rosenhouse along with you about a half
- 20:41Speaker 6: hour prior to tonight's first pitch. Guardians trying to bounce
- 20:44Speaker 6: back from dropping two straight to the Twins on Saturday
- 20:48Speaker 6: and yesterday. They come in, though, still atop the American
- 20:51Speaker 6: League's Central Division with a 21-21 record. They are a
- 20:56Speaker 6: game up on the second place White Sox now as
- 21:00Speaker 6: the Division continues to shuffle behind Cleveland. Meanwhile, the Angels
- 21:04Speaker 6: trying to get it going. They are struggling once again.
- 21:07Speaker 6: 16-25 coming in. Tied for fourth in the AL West.
- 21:12Speaker 6: Five and a half back of the front-running Athletics.
- 21:16Speaker 7: Stay with us.
- 21:16Speaker 6: We'll have more to come after this timeout. Welcome back
- 21:27Speaker 6: to the Bet365 Guardians warm-up show. Guardians and Angels getting
- 21:32Speaker 6: ready for the opener of this three-game series. For second
- 21:36Speaker 6: baseman Travis Bazzana, his rookie season and debut in the
- 21:40Speaker 6: major leagues is about two weeks old, and we'll visit
- 21:43Speaker 6: with him when we return after this.
- 21:46Speaker 5: Here's the Bet365 Minute, where winning is everything, with Scott Davidson.
- 21:50Speaker 10: Let's check the numbers in the opener. Guardians have the
- 21:53Speaker 10: favor tonight. They're minus 165. The total is 7.5. A
- 21:56Speaker 10: big game across the street, yes. At Rocket Arena, the
- 21:59Speaker 10: Cavs minus 3.5. Total there, 213. And for the first
- 22:03Speaker 10: time this year, going to give you an NBA prop
- 22:05Speaker 10: that I like a lot tonight. I'm going with Donovan
- 22:07Speaker 10: Mitchell to get it done. I like Mitchell over 26.5 points. Now,
- 22:11Speaker 10: Donovan just dropped in 35 and 31 in the last
- 22:15Speaker 10: two games in this series. He has 19-plus shots in
- 22:18Speaker 10: all three of the games. He's going to get the volume.
- 22:21Speaker 10: He's just got to hit the shots. He knows the
- 22:23Speaker 10: Cavs are in huge trouble if they lose tonight. I
- 22:25Speaker 10: think Donovan Mitchell gets it done. Over 26.5 points my
- 22:28Speaker 10: play of the day. Now, you can join me when
- 22:30Speaker 10: you download the Bet365 app. Remember, you bet $ 10, you
- 22:34Speaker 10: get $ 200 in bonus bets. Win or lose, terms and
- 22:36Speaker 10: conditions apply. And that's the Bet365 Minute. I'm Scott Davidson.

- 22:48Speaker 6: Welcome back to Guardian's Warm-Up. We're joined by Travis Bazzana. And, Travis,
- 22:53Speaker 6: two weeks in the major leagues, and it seems like
- 22:55Speaker 6: things are going real well. First home run Friday night, and...
- 22:59Speaker 6: What are some of the things that you're taking away
- 23:01Speaker 6: early on in terms of adjusting to the major league
- 23:04Speaker 6: game and having success?
- 23:06Speaker 12: Yeah, I felt like my process of the play has
- 23:09Speaker 12: been pretty good throughout. And yeah, just continuing to find
- 23:13Speaker 12: how I can best get to good ball flights and
- 23:17Speaker 12: hit my share of extra base hits and keep getting
- 23:19Speaker 12: on base is kind of the plan. But my process
- 23:21Speaker 12: has been good and I've been controlling a lot of
- 23:23Speaker 12: the controllables I would care about. So that's been good
- 23:26Speaker 12: on the offensive side. I've been taking advantage of my
- 23:28Speaker 12: opportunities in base running and then on defense just trying
- 23:31Speaker 12: to continue to work through the best reps I can
- 23:35Speaker 12: every day and we're working really hard to make an
- 23:39Speaker 12: impact out on that side. I've had a couple mishaps
- 23:41Speaker 12: but we'll continue to be better.
- 23:43Speaker 6: Up here, how much can you work every day within
- 23:48Speaker 6: the context of games day after day and wanting to
- 23:51Speaker 6: be ready for that to really refine your defense as
- 23:54Speaker 6: best you can?
- 23:54Speaker 12: Yeah, I mean that's something that constantly figuring out now
- 23:58Speaker 12: you know is is managing the workload and understanding like
- 24:03Speaker 12: playing every day you you you have to kind of
- 24:06Speaker 12: feel out the the early work and the the uh
- 24:10Speaker 12: the reps so i'm definitely working with the staff to
- 24:13Speaker 12: figure out um which days you know get the real
- 24:17Speaker 12: extra work and which day has got to um take
- 24:19Speaker 12: care of the body for the game and different things
- 24:21Speaker 12: we're talking about that constantly and i'm trying to um
- 24:25Speaker 12: make the most of every second of the day to One,
- 24:28Speaker 12: be prepared for the game, and two, keep building on
- 24:30Speaker 12: what I can do.
- 24:30Speaker 1: On the field.
- 24:31Speaker 6: A lot of high points already. Certainly getting that first
- 24:34Speaker 6: home run is exciting. What were the emotions that you
- 24:37Speaker 6: felt as you saw the ball leave the ballpark and
- 24:39Speaker 6: right center?
- 24:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I was extremely excited.
- 24:42Speaker 12: All the basic good emotions. I was happy, excited, and
- 24:48Speaker 12: fired up to get that moment. It was great, and
- 24:52Speaker 12: hopefully do that many more times.
- 24:55Speaker 6: We were talking earlier, your family was here for quite
- 24:58Speaker 6: a while, watching you play, and then they saw your
- 25:00Speaker 6: first hit, but they've had to go back home to Australia.
- 25:03Speaker 6: So for them, to see you play these night games
- 25:06Speaker 6: and even day games, what are we talking about in
- 25:08Speaker 6: terms of time difference and when they watch their baseball
- 25:10Speaker 6: now to see Travis Bazzano play?
- 25:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it's funny.
- 25:13Speaker 12: My aunties, uncles, grandparents, they all watch almost every game, right?
- 25:21Speaker 1: And A 6 p.m.
- 25:22Speaker 12: Game is kind of 10 a.m. for most of my
- 25:25Speaker 12: family the next day, and one o'clock game's a tough one.
- 25:30Speaker 12: That's like a 3 a.m. start in Sydney. So I
- 25:34Speaker 12: know my dad gets up at the 3 a.m., 1 p.m.
- 25:37Speaker 12: starts and watches, and sometimes some other family members do,
- 25:41Speaker 12: but not every game. But pretty much every 6 o'clock
- 25:45Speaker 12: is at 10 a.m., and I'm sure everyone at home
- 25:47Speaker 12: is trying to watch it at some point. So it's
- 25:50Speaker 12: an everyday thing, and..
- 25:52Speaker 1: They love it.
- 25:52Speaker 12: I'm sure they're just as nervous and excited for everything
- 25:56Speaker 12: that happens on the field sitting home in Australia.
- 25:59Speaker 6: They're going to be a family of early risers now
- 26:01Speaker 6: if they were not already, right?
- 26:02Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 26:04Speaker 12: My parents get up pretty early because the dog wants
- 26:06Speaker 12: to walk early in the morning at 5 a.m. They're
- 26:09Speaker 12: usually up pretty early. I think my dad watches half-hour
- 26:12Speaker 12: games while he's walking the dog. They're used to rising
- 26:17Speaker 12: pretty early, but I don't know about the others. I
- 26:20Speaker 12: don't know about my brothers. I think that's sleeping in.
- 26:24Speaker 6: Stolen bases, you have a bunch early. And it might
- 26:28Speaker 6: be because of when you were coming up, some injury
- 26:31Speaker 6: issues and things like that. But how big a part
- 26:34Speaker 6: of your game is the stolen base? Because it certainly
- 26:36Speaker 6: has been since you got here.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean..
- 26:39Speaker 12: If you look back to kind of since I've been
- 26:41Speaker 12: in the U.S., and obviously professional baseball is different to college.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Like in college, I stole a lot of bases.
- 26:45Speaker 12: I had a lot of success running during my time
- 26:48Speaker 12: at Oregon State. And then in pro ball, it's been–
- 26:53Speaker 12: I think I've just tried to pick and choose my
- 26:56Speaker 12: times to run in minor league baseball. It's like I
- 26:58Speaker 12: wanted to be really efficient on the bases and also
- 27:02Speaker 12: just understand– start to understand when is– good time to
- 27:07Speaker 12: run when he's not and like just build, I wanted
- 27:10Speaker 12: to build my kind of knowledge on my base ceiling
- 27:13Speaker 12: until I got to the big leagues. And now it's
- 27:15Speaker 12: like taking every chance to improve the chances of the
- 27:19Speaker 12: team winning. And, um, I feel like I'm in a
- 27:22Speaker 12: really good place and I've also had a lot of
- 27:23Speaker 12: good opportunities to run lately. So, um, I mean, I'm
- 27:27Speaker 12: not just going to be out there running every time
- 27:29Speaker 12: I get on, but I'm going to continue to try
- 27:30Speaker 12: to pick good spots to run and add value on
- 27:33Speaker 12: that side.
- 27:34Speaker 6: Travis, great to have you on the show. Thanks for
- 27:36Speaker 6: coming by.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Thanks, Rosie.
- 27:37Speaker 6: That's Travis Buzana, Guardian's second baseman, off to a real
- 27:41Speaker 6: nice start in his major league career. Stay tuned. More

- 29:20Speaker 15: She squinted at prices.

- 29:30Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Bet365 Guardians Warm-Up Show.
- 29:31Speaker 16: Time for our pregame weather forecast from our friends at WKYC.
- 29:34Speaker 11: It's brought to you by Shores.
- 29:36Speaker 1: And Islands, Ohio.
- 30:00Speaker 15: Passing clouds through the evening and overnight. Temperatures will be
- 30:03Speaker 15: falling all the way back into the 30s for many
- 30:05Speaker 15: of us. Frost and freeze alerts will be out for tonight.
- 30:08Speaker 15: After a chilly start on Tuesday, we'll rebound into the
- 30:10Speaker 15: 60s through the afternoon. Sunshine will lead to some cloud
- 30:13Speaker 15: cover later on in the day. We should hold off
- 30:16Speaker 15: on rain until overnight. In the 3 News Weather Center,
- 30:18Speaker 15: I'm meteorologist Jessica Van Meter.
- 30:21Speaker 6: Certainly sweater or jacket weather downtown. Stay with us when
- 30:24Speaker 6: we come back. It's the Key Bank Manager Show. That's next.
- 30:35Speaker 11: Hi again, everybody.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Welcome.
- 30:36Speaker 11: It's the Key Bank Manager Show with Tony Arnerich, the
- 30:40Speaker 11: bench coach and now the acting manager. Steven Vogt down
- 30:43Speaker 11: under the weather again and will not be at the
- 30:45Speaker 11: ballpark here tonight. Tony, you looked very comfortable yesterday. I
- 30:51Speaker 11: know you're getting your feet wet as a major league manager,
- 30:54Speaker 11: but when you've managed at other levels, is it that
- 30:57Speaker 11: much different?
- 30:58Speaker 1: Well, it definitely is.
- 30:59Speaker 17: Different in the major leagues. I mean, it is about winning.
- 31:02Speaker 17: in the minor leagues, there's other things that come into play.
- 31:04Speaker 17: You know, this guy cannot pitch back-to-back days, and this guy,
- 31:08Speaker 17: we need to develop his change-up, or whatever. There's a
- 31:10Speaker 17: lot more development going on, so it is different, but
- 31:13Speaker 17: at the end of the day, it's still baseball, and
- 31:16Speaker 17: you got to let your guys go play, and hopefully
- 31:18Speaker 17: you come out with a W.
- 31:19Speaker 11: Well, I know how close that you and Fodor are.
- 31:22Speaker 11: How do you handle this before, after, and is there
- 31:25Speaker 11: any contact during a game?
- 31:27Speaker 17: No contact during the game, but before the game, you know,
- 31:30Speaker 17: we have our pre-game meetings, and this being the first
- 31:33Speaker 17: day of a series, we have our pre-series meeting. So
- 31:35Speaker 17: he's chimed in with me on it, on all of it.
- 31:38Speaker 17: And then, you know, we still live together. I started
- 31:40Speaker 17: to keep my distance right now, but you know, we'll
- 31:43Speaker 17: definitely discuss post-game kind of things that happened. And, but
- 31:47Speaker 17: you know what, it's, it's one of those things that
- 31:49Speaker 17: we have a staff that is really good at doing
- 31:51Speaker 17: what they do and you let them go do their thing.
- 31:53Speaker 17: And then you let your players go play and hopefully
- 31:56Speaker 17: they can perform like you'd like them to.
- 31:57Speaker 11: Let's go back to yesterday for just a couple of moments.
- 32:00Speaker 11: couple of debuts, won the major league debut of Franco Aliman,
- 32:04Speaker 11: who's had so much potential. He's had some setbacks, but
- 32:08Speaker 11: how about the effort he gave you yesterday? Did you
- 32:11Speaker 11: see something yesterday maybe you weren't aware of, or was
- 32:15Speaker 11: he coming as advertised?
- 32:17Speaker 1: Pretty much as advertised.
- 32:18Speaker 17: He knows he has a good heater, and he's going
- 32:20Speaker 17: to use it, and he's going to come at you,
- 32:21Speaker 17: and he believes it's better than any hitter that he's
- 32:24Speaker 17: going to face. And talking to him before the game
- 32:26Speaker 17: during batting practice, he was just saying how he had
- 32:28Speaker 17: some family here, and you know, it's just crazy that
- 32:30Speaker 17: he put in so much work and now he's finally here. And,
- 32:33Speaker 17: but now it's time to go. And, you know, when
- 32:36Speaker 17: he came out of the game after the second inning,
- 32:38Speaker 17: the smile on his face, man, it just said it all.
- 32:40Speaker 17: I was so proud of him and just happy for
- 32:42Speaker 17: the kid. You know, you get your chance and you
- 32:44Speaker 17: pitch well. And, but now the hard work begins for him.
- 32:47Speaker 17: You know, it's hard to get to the big leagues
- 32:50Speaker 17: and it's harder to stick. And, but what he did
- 32:52Speaker 17: last night was pretty impressive. And you can see that
- 32:55Speaker 17: heater's going to play. And, if he's attacking the zone
- 32:58Speaker 17: like that, he can really help us. And so that
- 33:01Speaker 17: was really exciting to watch. And just to see that
- 33:04Speaker 17: smile on his face was really gratifying.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 33:06Speaker 11: Also, it was the Cleveland debut of Patrick Bailey. First off, Tony,
- 33:11Speaker 11: I can't imagine trying to learn a staff in 24 hours.
- 33:16Speaker 11: I know that's virtually impossible. But how is he going
- 33:20Speaker 11: about this? How do you get him up to game
- 33:22Speaker 11: speed when you're talking about 13 different pitchers?
- 33:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:26Speaker 17: I mean, luckily we have a really good pitching department
- 33:29Speaker 17: here and our pitching coaches are really good at what
- 33:32Speaker 17: they do. And then you look at David and Hedgie,
- 33:35Speaker 17: they're very good and very knowledgeable about our guys. They
- 33:38Speaker 17: know him as well as anybody. So he's just been
- 33:40Speaker 17: diving in with Carl and BG and our pitching guys
- 33:43Speaker 17: and Caleb with the bullpen guys just to learn them.
- 33:47Speaker 17: And then watching video, he'll start to catch some pens,
- 33:49Speaker 17: I'm sure, here and there throughout the next week. And
- 33:53Speaker 17: But Patty knows the game, and he can get behind
- 33:56Speaker 17: there and see what a guy has and read the
- 33:58Speaker 17: game and read the stuff that's coming out of the
- 34:01Speaker 17: pitcher's hand. But we do a really good job with
- 34:03Speaker 17: game planning. We do a really good job of preparing,
- 34:06Speaker 17: and he seems like he fits right in with that.
- 34:08Speaker 17: Just having our first catchers meeting today, pre-series, you would
- 34:12Speaker 17: not have known that it was his first time in
- 34:13Speaker 17: that meeting with us. He's very good at what he does,
- 34:16Speaker 17: and I think the combination of him and Hedgie and
- 34:18Speaker 17: David together, they're going to help each other out, and
- 34:21Speaker 17: I'm not worried at all.
- 34:22Speaker 11: How come David Fry tonight behind the plate catching Joey Cantillo?
- 34:26Speaker 17: Yeah, you know, David's done a really good job of
- 34:29Speaker 17: coming in some late games and catching well. He came
- 34:31Speaker 17: in yesterday, had an unbelievable block. We've had him lined
- 34:34Speaker 17: up to catch a couple times and weather permitting kind
- 34:36Speaker 17: of screwed things up. He lines up well with Joey,
- 34:40Speaker 17: knows Joey well. And he's just, you know, lined up
- 34:43Speaker 17: for us. And they have a lefty in the pen
- 34:45Speaker 17: and they're doing a bullpen day today.
- 34:46Speaker 1: So all those things considered, David's.
- 34:53Speaker 17: In the league. And David's part of that. And he's
- 34:56Speaker 17: going to go out and catch a great game. I'm sure.
- 34:58Speaker 11: And of course, open games, the most difficult to manage.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 35:04Speaker 6: It's given him a hard time.
- 35:05Speaker 1: I said, are you sick?
- 35:06Speaker 17: Are you just trying to avoid these? No, we all
- 35:08Speaker 17: know Steven and how big of a competitor he is
- 35:11Speaker 17: and he hates to be gone, you know, but yeah,
- 35:14Speaker 17: that's why you just lean on your staff behind you.
- 35:15Speaker 17: Make sure that they're giving you the info and make
- 35:18Speaker 17: sure I have the info and I'm up to date
- 35:19Speaker 17: on what we're doing and have a good game plan
- 35:21Speaker 17: going into where, Nothing speeds up on you. But again,
- 35:25Speaker 17: at the end of the day, like we say, the
- 35:27Speaker 17: guy's got to go out and play, and hopefully we
- 35:28Speaker 17: can score some runs and not have to make too
- 35:30Speaker 17: many decisions.
- 35:31Speaker 11: That's bench coach and acting manager tonight, Tony Arnerich. This
- 35:35Speaker 11: is Tom Hamilton, the manager's show brought to you by
- 35:37Speaker 11: Key Bank, and we wish Stephen Vogt the very best.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Hope he's back real soon.
- 35:41Speaker 6: Now stay tuned.
- 35:42Speaker 11: The first pitch next on the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network.
- 35:51Speaker 6: About 10 minutes away from tonight's first pitch here at
- 35:54Speaker 6: Progressive Field. Time for the pitching matchup. Angels going with
- 35:58Speaker 6: an opener. Left-hander Brent Suter will make his 16th appearance.
- 36:02Speaker 6: Second start of the season. He's 1-1 with an earned
- 36:05Speaker 6: run average of 4.03. He'll be opposed by Joey Cantillo.
- 36:11Speaker 6: The Guardians lefty is 2-1 with an ERA of 3.43
- 36:13Speaker 6: as he makes start number 9 of the season. He's
- 36:18Speaker 6: coming off a win against the Royals his last time
- 36:21Speaker 6: out with five strong innings, allowing just one run. That's
- 36:25Speaker 6: your pitching matchup, and that'll do it for Guardians. Warm-up,
- 36:27Speaker 6: stay tuned, starting lineups, and the first pitch come your
- 36:30Speaker 6: way next.
