Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Game Week fourteen isn't quite dumb, but it's already on
- 0:03Speaker 1: to the next one. We reflect on the pain of
- 0:05Speaker 1: Chelsea rotation, a city return to form, and call out
- 0:09Speaker 1: Sam's irrational fear of kickoff times as we discuss captains.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Your game meet fourteen is not quite over, but FPR
- 0:20Speaker 1: Pod is back with you because we need to get
- 0:22Speaker 1: to you as early as possible because there isn't much
- 0:25Speaker 1: time between Game Week fourteen and Game Week fifteen. Kelly
- 0:27Speaker 1: Summer's back with you on Thursday morning, still got two
- 0:30Speaker 1: fixtures to play, Fulham hosting Brighton and Bournemouth facing Spurs,
- 0:35Speaker 1: san Bonfield and Junior and Laurn back with me. I
- 0:37Speaker 1: normally at this point do a little check in on
- 0:39Speaker 1: how your game week's been going. Obviously it's not complete,
- 0:42Speaker 1: but I think both of you, particularly you Sam, must
- 0:45Speaker 1: be pretty happy.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, the game week so far has been good.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I mean it must to be honest, Cal's I was
- 0:50Speaker 2: a little bit worried about midweek games. They always stressed
- 0:52Speaker 2: me out a bit because I never feel like I've
- 0:54Speaker 2: got enough time to think about them, and I always
- 0:57Speaker 2: worry that they're not going to quite be.
- 1:00Speaker 1: The high flying game weeks. I guess like they always.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Seem to be a bit more low scoring. And yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 2: there was a lot of rotation, wasn't there on Wednesdays?
- 1:07Speaker 1: This is why I don't like that I've had so
- 1:09Speaker 1: many bad midweek scores, because there's rotation because if players
- 1:14Speaker 1: I said it with e Sac which actually worked out okay,
- 1:16Speaker 1: and when players getting injury on the weekend before you
- 1:19Speaker 1: the likely it is maybe their manager won't risk them
- 1:22Speaker 1: in the midweek. As I said with the Newcastle forward
- 1:24Speaker 1: it worked out okay, but it doesn't always. We saw
- 1:27Speaker 1: it though Jeels with one of your forwards as well.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Jackson wasn't of course playing and concub was playing. Yeah,
- 1:33Speaker 1: but overall, how did your team do well so far?
- 1:36Speaker 1: Obviously with caveat you've got players to play so.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Before before times give us got sixty seven points?
- 1:40Speaker 1: Oh sorry, Sam, you didn't give your score.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Which is really good. And I still have Robinson, Evan
- 1:45Speaker 3: Wilson and Brandon Johnson, so all the songs basically playing tonight,
- 1:50Speaker 3: which is good. I made, as you know, four changes
- 1:54Speaker 3: for the four transfer that had I used them all
- 1:56Speaker 3: I saw learning Harland obviously after listening to you too,
- 1:58Speaker 3: which I should not have and I regret it already.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I know you only got you only got an assist yesterday,
- 2:05Speaker 3: but really it was horrendous do.
- 2:07Speaker 1: It because I didn't think you would. Sam and I
- 2:10Speaker 1: both didn't think you would.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I know, I know, I really I really regret it still,
- 2:14Speaker 3: I promise.
- 2:15Speaker 1: You now answering why did you do it then? Just
- 2:18Speaker 1: because so.
- 2:20Speaker 3: First of all, I thought, you know what, there would
- 2:21Speaker 3: be a lot of listeners and people who watch on
- 2:23Speaker 3: YouTube as well who be in my position, who still
- 2:25Speaker 3: have talent, so even for them to relate, I almost
- 2:29Speaker 3: wanted to keep him and say this is, this is
- 2:30Speaker 3: a little project, me and the forty six percent of
- 2:34Speaker 3: managers who have him, and we've believed in him, We've
- 2:37Speaker 3: we've stuck, stuck with him, we stuck with him. So
- 2:40Speaker 3: let's show him some love and he's going to eventually,
- 2:43Speaker 3: as we all know, he will sooner rather than let
- 2:45Speaker 3: work at some points go back to scoring loads of
- 2:47Speaker 3: goals and being really good, like City will be too
- 2:49Speaker 3: as well. So there was there was that part, and
- 2:52Speaker 3: then the other part was like, but it's true, and
- 2:54Speaker 3: you were both right, it makes sense to sell him
- 2:56Speaker 3: also because you can make your team overall much better,
- 3:00Speaker 3: much stronger, with more varility on who can bring points
- 3:03Speaker 3: and goals and returns, et cetera, et cetera. So I
- 3:06Speaker 3: had both and I kept changing and pressing the reset button,
- 3:09Speaker 3: you know when you do all your trans and I rested.
- 3:11Speaker 3: I don't know if you resetted is even a word,
- 3:13Speaker 3: but I reseted.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Jose, you're English, you learn, you're learning all of these
- 3:15Speaker 1: new But I.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Thought reset was a bit like reset, you know that
- 3:19Speaker 3: you didn't put the idiot end. And then in the end,
- 3:22Speaker 3: I thought there was not much time left before the
- 3:24Speaker 3: deadline and I was going Christmas shopping, so I had
- 3:27Speaker 3: to do it like quite early ish, and I did,
- 3:30Speaker 3: and I was like, my god, what I don't I
- 3:32Speaker 3: promised you. I was like, that's why I on social
- 3:34Speaker 3: media for you two in in the mix, because I
- 3:36Speaker 3: listened to you. And I'm still not sure he is
- 3:38Speaker 3: the right thing to do.
- 3:39Speaker 1: But anyway, okay, I feel like he's vented, He's got
- 3:42Speaker 1: out of this system. With it all I'm going to say,
- 3:43Speaker 1: Joe is I was presenting the Man City game last night,
- 3:46Speaker 1: and I'm a bit worried City might be back, although
- 3:48Speaker 1: maybe it's not. Eilen Hollan that we need. We'll talk
- 3:50Speaker 1: about that very shortly. Sam. Sorry, after you're talking about
- 3:52Speaker 1: your woes and your concerns. The end of your answer was,
- 3:55Speaker 1: of course more positive bit that I imagine you wanted to
- 3:57Speaker 1: tell us the points that you did get. Yeah, actually
- 3:59Speaker 1: was it was a good week.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I think wrong captain, right, I mean we all had
- 4:02Speaker 2: the wrong captain.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Yeah, we never get it right in the moment.
- 4:06Speaker 2: No, and I just I'm starting to think we should
- 4:08Speaker 2: just perm a captain on Salah and be done with it.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I don't know, he's so good right now. But yeah, Actually,
- 4:13Speaker 2: the rest of my game we went really well. Obviously,
- 4:15Speaker 2: my Arsenal defender, who I was a little bit upset
- 4:18Speaker 2: about at the weekend, coming good, coming good. So Timber
- 4:23Speaker 2: with the girl rail with a clean sheet, twenty points
- 4:25Speaker 2: out of them two.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I was loving that.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Even as a Spurs fan, I was like, oh, thank god,
- 4:29Speaker 2: there's something positive to come out of Arsenal.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Winning a game. So that was good. Yeah.
- 4:33Speaker 2: So I'm at my highest rank so far now thanks
- 4:36Speaker 2: to my two Arsenal defenders. So that's been really nice.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Sixty six two players to go. So Solanki, who is
- 4:43Speaker 2: obviously still a mass of doubt for the game this
- 4:45Speaker 2: evening because of his virus. If he doesn't play, I'll
- 4:48Speaker 2: have Chris Wood off the bench for his two points.
- 4:50Speaker 2: So that's not ideal, but you know it is what
- 4:54Speaker 2: it is. Nothing I can do about that now and
- 4:56Speaker 2: Jabe Pedro. So we'll see how we get on with
- 4:57Speaker 2: those two tonight. Hopefully Slanki makes it because it could
- 5:00Speaker 2: actually be a really really good game week if they play.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Okay, So as things stand, Sam's on sixty six, of
- 5:07Speaker 1: course she leads the way. I'm third in our mini league.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'm on sixty but I've got eleven points regardless to
- 5:12Speaker 1: come off the bench because of Micklenko coming in, so
- 5:15Speaker 1: I'll be up to seventy one. I've still got Pedro
- 5:17Speaker 1: to play and Jewels on sixty seven, and as he says,
- 5:21Speaker 1: still got two players to play, plus Johnson will also
- 5:24Speaker 1: play because Jackson didn't play, so three players still to play. So,
- 5:26Speaker 1: as you said, could be a good game week for
- 5:29Speaker 1: all of us, let's hope. So although hate it when
- 5:31Speaker 1: it ends up being a good game week, But we
- 5:33Speaker 1: don't have a pod to talk about it, because the
- 5:34Speaker 1: next part will be next week and we'll probably will
- 5:36Speaker 1: have a bad game week in fifteen. A reminder of
- 5:38Speaker 1: the POD Mini League code is Q seven hy C.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Do I say that right?
- 5:42Speaker 3: Yes? I did?
- 5:43Speaker 1: You think I'll be able to say this right by now?
- 5:45Speaker 1: Q seven y C O the letter zero. I think
- 5:49Speaker 1: we've discussed enough about our game week in particular, but
- 5:52Speaker 1: just quick check in with the mini league. I'm hesitant
- 5:55Speaker 1: to do that because of course there's still players to play.
- 5:57Speaker 1: There's a new leader. As things stand, Little Ground got
- 6:01Speaker 1: seventy three points so far Captain Salah. He has had
- 6:04Speaker 1: all twelve players play, whereas our new second place manager
- 6:07Speaker 1: Charlie Shepard has sixty four this week and he also,
- 6:09Speaker 1: like us Captain Palmer, but still has to al Pedro
- 6:12Speaker 1: and he also got Pedro Poro to play on Thursday.
- 6:15Speaker 1: He is just one point behind Max. So whilst we're
- 6:18Speaker 1: saying Max's top, he's going to be Charlie, isn't it.
- 6:20Speaker 1: After Thursday evening fixtures. Max and Charlie are thirty six
- 6:24Speaker 1: and thirty seventh in the world respectively. Okay, we talked
- 6:26Speaker 1: about our game weeks. We've talked about the mini league.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Now let's talk about the wider game week. I was
- 6:32Speaker 1: certainly relieved about Esach because I didn't expect him to
- 6:36Speaker 1: even start, let alone get a goal and assist. And
- 6:38Speaker 1: I think Jeles we were reminded after I was frustrated
- 6:42Speaker 1: with what happened at Palace and him going off so early,
- 6:44Speaker 1: I think we were reminded that he is still such
- 6:45Speaker 1: a good fpisset.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Yeah, incredible, incredible performance from him from Newcastle as a
- 6:50Speaker 3: as a team as a whole, like we saw against
- 6:52Speaker 3: City at home or Arsenal at home before, where they
- 6:55Speaker 3: drew and they want and again they were else standing.
- 6:57Speaker 3: They could have lost a game obviously, but they could
- 6:59Speaker 3: also we have won that game too, so maybe the
- 7:02Speaker 3: joy is a fair result. But for Eatsich, he was
- 7:04Speaker 3: the key in this in this game, lovely lovely goal,
- 7:07Speaker 3: I mean, fantastic goal that he scored. But even though
- 7:10Speaker 3: everything he did, the pass for Murphy who hit the
- 7:12Speaker 3: post in the first half, his game is just all
- 7:15Speaker 3: around so great because he's so good technically and such
- 7:18Speaker 3: a great finisher. All of that. And we did say
- 7:21Speaker 3: in the last showcase on Monday morning that it looked
- 7:24Speaker 3: like he was just a knock up against Palace and
- 7:26Speaker 3: that they took him off more a precaution than anything else,
- 7:29Speaker 3: and as long as he's not muscular, there was a
- 7:31Speaker 3: still a big possibility that he would he would play,
- 7:33Speaker 3: but until you see his name on the on the
- 7:35Speaker 3: team sheet, you just never know. But great for great
- 7:39Speaker 3: for him to have that kind of performance because I
- 7:42Speaker 3: think there was two games where he didn't score in
- 7:43Speaker 3: a rubber before that he was in great form, so
- 7:45Speaker 3: it made sense for him to just keep scoring.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Still, I know we talked about fowards a lot on
- 7:50Speaker 1: this show, Sam, and it's it's an even more interesting
- 7:53Speaker 1: conversation to have on a week where I think Jackson
- 7:56Speaker 1: was obviously rotated. Jackson still got that suspension hanging over
- 7:59Speaker 1: his head as well.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Well.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Esak had a price fall earlier in the week, which
- 8:03Speaker 1: was so frustrating from my point of view. But where
- 8:05Speaker 1: do you rank him in terms of forwards that we
- 8:07Speaker 1: should want in our team? Because when I'm looking at
- 8:09Speaker 1: the Newcastle fixtures, Brentford away, Lesser at home, Ipswhich away,
- 8:13Speaker 1: Villa at home, Man United away, those last two bit trickier.
- 8:16Speaker 1: But there's some nice fixtures in there.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Yeah, there definitely is some nice fixtures in there, and
- 8:20Speaker 2: I think I don't think anybody that was selling you
- 8:22Speaker 2: Sack was really doing it because they wanted to get
- 8:25Speaker 2: rid of you Sack desperately. I think most people were
- 8:27Speaker 2: doing it going into game week fourteen because they were
- 8:30Speaker 2: worried about him having gone off in game week thirteen.
- 8:33Speaker 2: And we do worry about rotation in midweek fixtures because
- 8:36Speaker 2: they do tend to be the ones that you see
- 8:38Speaker 2: at most. And I think that also people were looking
- 8:40Speaker 2: at that Chelsea fixture and thinking, well, Jackson looks like
- 8:45Speaker 2: the perfect by this week, because it's a lovely fixture
- 8:48Speaker 2: where Chelsea should score a lot of goals, and so
- 8:50Speaker 2: there were a lot of people that were kind of
- 8:52Speaker 2: making that move, and I think the selling e Sac
- 8:54Speaker 2: thing was more about getting Jackson than it was about
- 8:58Speaker 2: selling e Sac. Whereas if you've held him, obviously you've
- 9:02Speaker 2: picked out the points last night, which is great, but
- 9:03Speaker 2: also you now have this nice round of fixtures right
- 9:06Speaker 2: the way through to Gain week nineteen really where you
- 9:09Speaker 2: could definitely see goals. But even then nineteen and twenty,
- 9:12Speaker 2: those Man United in Spurs fixtures, they're not defenses that
- 9:16Speaker 2: you can't break down. So I think if you've got Esak,
- 9:20Speaker 2: he becomes a bit of a long term hold now
- 9:22Speaker 2: as long as he can stay fit.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Yeah, even beyond nineteen and twenty. Actually he's got Wolves
- 9:26Speaker 1: at home in twenty one, Bourneou at home in twenty two.
- 9:28Speaker 1: We know what new costs are like at homes. They're
- 9:30Speaker 1: nice fixtures. Then Southampton away Fulham at home before Manchester
- 9:34Speaker 1: City in twenty five, and there's three slightly trickier fixtures.
- 9:37Speaker 1: So yeah, essak for me for once, I'm glad that
- 9:40Speaker 1: I didn't push the panic button, especially as I would
- 9:42Speaker 1: have gone with Jackson. That was frustrating, wasn't it Jewels
- 9:45Speaker 1: with Jackson given the fixture especially, Yeah, I.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Didn't see this one coming. I won't lie, and not
- 9:50Speaker 3: just him. But even if you I don't know Hawd
- 9:53Speaker 3: Colin will for example, maybe as a as a defender
- 9:56Speaker 3: if you had Ches Sanchez in Gold for example, or
- 9:58Speaker 3: do Jorginton was very good? Now I do wonder if
- 10:01Speaker 3: you're concern maybe on the back of his really good
- 10:03Speaker 3: game that I had last week in the Conference League
- 10:06Speaker 3: against Heidenheim, if now he's going to be the number one,
- 10:08Speaker 3: because I thought yesterday on the two staves that he
- 10:11Speaker 3: really has to make he was fantastic. But yeah, so
- 10:15Speaker 3: if you like me. I really didn't see that one coming,
- 10:18Speaker 3: and then all I wanted was for Nico not to
- 10:20Speaker 3: come on, although everybody seems to score in that game
- 10:22Speaker 3: for Chelsea, so maybe he would have got a goal.
- 10:24Speaker 3: But yeah, Indian, I was happy. Especially if Banon Johnson
- 10:27Speaker 3: returns tonight and takes his place in my team, I
- 10:30Speaker 3: would be good, but great from Chelsea going forward, even
- 10:33Speaker 3: with subs. If you were like Joel Felix, I thought
- 10:36Speaker 3: was really good and kun Ku was really good, a
- 10:39Speaker 3: good talk came back and was really good as well,
- 10:41Speaker 3: very efficient and co Palmer with only one goal where
- 10:44Speaker 3: he could easily on another day I've had easy to
- 10:46Speaker 3: assist and three goals like that's how good he was
- 10:49Speaker 3: and he and he only has one goal to show
- 10:51Speaker 3: for it.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I think his extreme is something crazy. Was really
- 10:54Speaker 1: frustrating for US captain as I coudn't believe it the
- 10:56Speaker 1: ones he just score it went off. It feels a
- 10:59Speaker 1: bit mean, doesn't when they've had so a big win
- 11:00Speaker 1: against a ten man struggling team that we only got
- 11:03Speaker 1: a goal. But at least we did get that goal. Sam,
- 11:05Speaker 1: what are your thoughts on Chelsea overall?
- 11:07Speaker 3: For me?
- 11:08Speaker 1: When I saw the team. I thought, oh, this is
- 11:10Speaker 1: something that all season we've known with the size of
- 11:12Speaker 1: their squad, is a possibility. Yeah. Absolutely.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Palmer's actually, by the way, was one point four nine,
- 11:18Speaker 2: which is yeah high in a game week so far.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we've known that.
- 11:25Speaker 2: They've got a big squad. We know that they've got
- 11:26Speaker 2: the potential to be able to rotate really good players
- 11:29Speaker 2: into each position. So it's always a little bit of
- 11:31Speaker 2: a risk with Chelsea, but they've been fairly consistent in
- 11:34Speaker 2: the league so far, so it hasn't been too much
- 11:37Speaker 2: of a concern. But I do think George is right
- 11:38Speaker 2: with the goalkeeper position, like he did play really well
- 11:41Speaker 2: last night, so maybe we might see a change up
- 11:42Speaker 2: and it might just be something you have to monitor
- 11:44Speaker 2: if you've invested there. I think for me as a
- 11:48Speaker 2: Palmer owner, obviously I was happy for him to get
- 11:50Speaker 2: the goal, and I was hoping that he was going
- 11:52Speaker 2: to get something more than he did, particularly as in
- 11:54Speaker 2: the other game Salah was doing Salar things again.
- 11:58Speaker 1: But I think it feel like.
- 12:00Speaker 2: You should be more heavily invested in Chelsea, Like I've
- 12:03Speaker 2: just got Palmer, and I keep looking at Chelsea thinking
- 12:05Speaker 2: I should probably get another one, and then it's been
- 12:09Speaker 2: hard because a couple of weeks ago I thought maybe
- 12:10Speaker 2: it was going to be Gusto that might be the
- 12:12Speaker 2: one that came in for me, and then he's not
- 12:13Speaker 2: been consistently starting, although did come back in yesterday and
- 12:16Speaker 2: plays well, gets the assistantards the back end of the game.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Jackson obviously has been great, but we've talked about the
- 12:21Speaker 2: yellow card thing before and then obviously missed a game
- 12:24Speaker 2: through the rotation that we had. So it's quite hard.
- 12:27Speaker 2: But their fixtures are nice. Obviously it's the Spurs game
- 12:29Speaker 2: that the weekend, but then after that Brentford, Everton, Fulham, Ipswich, Pallace,
- 12:32Speaker 2: Borne Off Wolves like that. Is that's a really nice
- 12:36Speaker 2: one to fix this for Chelsea, isn't it. So I
- 12:38Speaker 2: think I'll be looking to invest more heavily. It's just
- 12:42Speaker 2: trying to work out who's the best pick. I think
- 12:45Speaker 2: Manchester City. Then we do have to talk about them,
- 12:48Speaker 2: as we've already discussed. Jules sold Harland. It means none
- 12:51Speaker 2: of us own Harland. Now I still am Rico Lewis.
- 12:54Speaker 1: I think I'm the only Lewis owner on this podcast,
- 12:56Speaker 1: so on t I now, so between three of us
- 13:00Speaker 1: he could have nine City players. Technically between us we
- 13:02Speaker 1: have one, which is unheard of, reflective of the fact
- 13:06Speaker 1: that the City won just one of their last eight matches,
- 13:08Speaker 1: I guess, but Jules, I watched that last night and
- 13:11Speaker 1: Harland obviously got the assist. So you missed out on
- 13:14Speaker 1: those points and one.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Of those assists on the halfway line. Anyway, Yeah, in terms.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Of FBL got an assist. I was frustrated because Rico
- 13:23Speaker 1: Lewis was suppoced to come off the bench and didn't
- 13:26Speaker 1: get the clean sheet points. I am was looking at them,
- 13:29Speaker 1: though Jeel was thinking there's green shoots of recovery here.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Kevin de Bruyne obviously was the standout, as if we
- 13:35Speaker 1: needed any more premiums to have to throw into the mix.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Is he now someone that should be on our radar.
- 13:41Speaker 3: It's a difficult one because he said himself after the
- 13:43Speaker 3: game that he was just his body is not ready
- 13:46Speaker 3: to play I think regularly, and the lie he said
- 13:49Speaker 3: he's got pain in his bag and the day he
- 13:52Speaker 3: feels better, he would even be even better. But right
- 13:54Speaker 3: now it seems I mean, I think he said himself
- 13:57Speaker 3: he was struggling physically and he plays seventy four minutes,
- 14:00Speaker 3: didn't really look like he was struggling physically, and it
- 14:04Speaker 3: was amazing. Obviously called one assisted one and you could
- 14:06Speaker 3: just see what he brings to this team in terms
- 14:09Speaker 3: of leadership but also technically, creativity, just everything and obviously
- 14:15Speaker 3: if you're playing against City and you have to deal
- 14:17Speaker 3: with him on top of everybody else, now it makes
- 14:21Speaker 3: a massive difference for them. Was not there, he was ill,
- 14:25Speaker 3: a bitlack, Sam and others. But it's true that the
- 14:29Speaker 3: bron brings so much to this team and we saw that.
- 14:31Speaker 3: We saw that yesterday. Although as you saw Keels even
- 14:33Speaker 3: at one they left for City, they get away big chances, yeah,
- 14:37Speaker 3: big chances one of the starts of the second alf.
- 14:39Speaker 3: So it was not perfect by far, but at least
- 14:42Speaker 3: they got to win and they can just breathe a
- 14:45Speaker 3: little bit easily.
- 14:46Speaker 1: It's something that I'm aware of those, Sam, because when
- 14:48Speaker 1: I look at the Manchester City fixtures, I'm sure you
- 14:50Speaker 1: have as well. From fifteen to twenty two release that
- 14:53Speaker 1: takes up to the nineteenth of January, their fixtures are
- 14:56Speaker 1: pretty nice.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Really.
- 14:57Speaker 1: They've got Manchester United at home in game week sixteen
- 15:00Speaker 1: and Villa away in seventeen. They're the trickiest looking ones
- 15:03Speaker 1: on paper. So if they are going to find some form,
- 15:07Speaker 1: it's probably going to be now, and we're going to
- 15:09Speaker 1: want to be invested in some form.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Yeah, but how is the is the problem because like
- 15:14Speaker 2: KDB looked great last night, but if he's saying that
- 15:18Speaker 2: he's not able to play consistently, then you can't invest
- 15:22Speaker 2: that level of budget. Phone's got bronchitis, so I mean
- 15:25Speaker 2: he will be back, but then he hasn't exactly been
- 15:27Speaker 2: playing well. The defense is I know they kept clean sheet,
- 15:31Speaker 2: but they they've been all over the place. They just
- 15:33Speaker 2: haven't been consistent.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Vardiol had two really good chances in the first half,
- 15:36Speaker 1: and I think I think he perhaps proved the point
- 15:40Speaker 1: that if you're going to if you want any city defender,
- 15:43Speaker 1: you're not probably not going to get clean sheets at
- 15:44Speaker 1: the moment, although they did get one last night. He's
- 15:46Speaker 1: got the attacking threats. He's maybe the best of the bunch.
- 15:49Speaker 1: I think so.
- 15:50Speaker 2: But I mean I had him for weeks and the
- 15:51Speaker 2: problem is is that at that price point, and it
- 15:53Speaker 2: was every week it was the same thing. It was like, Okay,
- 15:56Speaker 2: well he's been the most attacking he's had these opportunities.
- 15:58Speaker 2: He should have got assist for this. He should have
- 16:00Speaker 2: Matt Harlan didn't finish this. Harlan didn't finish that. And
- 16:03Speaker 2: the problem is that how long do you keep keeping
- 16:06Speaker 2: a player because having attacking threat is brilliant, That's exactly
- 16:09Speaker 2: what we want from a defender, but in reality they
- 16:11Speaker 2: have to do something with that attacking threat.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I have to bring some points.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Otherwise you're spending six upwards of six million on a
- 16:17Speaker 2: player and they're not really performing to that standard. And
- 16:21Speaker 2: I think that's the issue for me with the vardi
- 16:23Speaker 2: Ol is like I agree, I think of the City defender,
- 16:26Speaker 2: he's the best one, but I'm still not convinced that
- 16:30Speaker 2: he's worth six million with how they're playing right now defensively,
- 16:35Speaker 2: I think you at that price point you do want
- 16:37Speaker 2: sort of the guarantees of some returns and we're just
- 16:39Speaker 2: not really getting that. And I think that's my issue
- 16:43Speaker 2: with City generally, is that this is kind of what
- 16:45Speaker 2: I sent to you was before. It's like you you
- 16:47Speaker 2: can spend fifteen million on Harlan. Absolutely, I get it,
- 16:50Speaker 2: and I get why you'd want him, and it's not
- 16:53Speaker 2: really about thinking Harlan's a bad pick, because I don't
- 16:56Speaker 2: think anybody who sold Harlan in the last few weeks
- 16:58Speaker 2: thinks that Harlan is a bad pick, and I think
- 17:01Speaker 2: that going into the next few weeks he will return points.
- 17:05Speaker 2: The thing is is if you can have both Palmer
- 17:08Speaker 2: and Soccer in your team instead of him, will they
- 17:12Speaker 2: outscore him in combination? And I guess that's the difficulty
- 17:15Speaker 2: is that from city outside of Harlan, it's actually quite
- 17:19Speaker 2: difficult to know where you would go. But equally, with
- 17:21Speaker 2: the level of budget Harlan takes right now, with all
- 17:24Speaker 2: the other premiums that are coming good, I'm not sure
- 17:27Speaker 2: that you can afford to go there. And I mean,
- 17:30Speaker 2: I think the fact that there were three players captained
- 17:34Speaker 2: this week by over two million managers. That's the first
- 17:36Speaker 2: time that's ever happened in FPL that we've had three
- 17:39Speaker 2: over two million captainers, shows you how divided the game
- 17:43Speaker 2: is right now on which premium massets are the right
- 17:46Speaker 2: ones to own and whether Harland should be in your
- 17:48Speaker 2: team or not. Because as managers, we're normally far more
- 17:52Speaker 2: consistent with the captaincy and there's normally one who's really
- 17:55Speaker 2: highly captained and then one who's sort of in the
- 17:57Speaker 2: next bracket down to have three of them almost cooy
- 18:00Speaker 2: captain is mad.
- 18:02Speaker 3: So under three where Salahaka and.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Palma Yeah no sorry, Harlan, Salah and Palmer.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Ok.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Yeah, so Harlan.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Harlan was the most captain this week and then Sala
- 18:13Speaker 2: and Palma up there as well. So And I just
- 18:17Speaker 2: think when you when you think about that as a
- 18:18Speaker 2: stat for that to be the first time that's ever
- 18:20Speaker 2: happened that we've had three shows you that.
- 18:23Speaker 1: People are are not sure what to do.
- 18:26Speaker 2: And I think with Man City, because there isn't really
- 18:29Speaker 2: a standout other option, that's where it becomes difficult. Like
- 18:32Speaker 2: if what you really want is for somebody like Grealish
- 18:35Speaker 2: or Doku or Bernardo Silver, whoever it is, somebody to
- 18:39Speaker 2: just go, ah, I'm going to be really good over
- 18:41Speaker 2: the next few weeks. So there's somebody that you know
- 18:43Speaker 2: is going to start and you can invest it. But
- 18:46Speaker 2: we're not seeing that yet. I was hoping there we
- 18:49Speaker 2: were going to get one of them, but so far
- 18:51Speaker 2: we haven't. And it's how far into this run that
- 18:53Speaker 2: we have to get before we get a consistent returner
- 18:56Speaker 2: that's not going to cost you fifteen million because I
- 18:58Speaker 2: can't afford to have Harlan and everyone else.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I understand completely. It's tough, isn't it. So at
- 19:03Speaker 1: the moment, I think with City it's a watching brief
- 19:05Speaker 1: but with a bit more interest at the moment because
- 19:07Speaker 1: of those fixtures and knowing at some point we'll probably
- 19:10Speaker 1: want We probably want someone like a Grealish or a
- 19:13Speaker 1: phone and just someone's pain. Yeah, Donny, of them, Yeah,
- 19:16Speaker 1: any of them that are not Harland, are not Harland's
- 19:18Speaker 1: price point. That can kind of take that team and
- 19:20Speaker 1: r FBO teams by the scruff of the neck and
- 19:21Speaker 1: give us some much needed points. Okay, Manchester United. Then
- 19:26Speaker 1: Marcus Rashfeld was benched, Sam, what are you thinking about Bruno?
- 19:29Speaker 2: I was really torn on Bruno yesterday because obviously I
- 19:32Speaker 2: had the double arsenal defense as well, and so we
- 19:33Speaker 2: got part of the way into this game and I
- 19:35Speaker 2: was like, oh, right, what do I want to happen,
- 19:37Speaker 2: particularly when he was learning that about free kick towards
- 19:39Speaker 2: the back end of the game, and I.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Was like, oh, I don't know what wants happening.
- 19:43Speaker 2: I'm going to hold Bruno because I think when you
- 19:45Speaker 2: look at the fixtures they are, they are mixed, and
- 19:48Speaker 2: I kind of knew that, Like the Everton game at
- 19:50Speaker 2: the weekend that was the last of that really great three,
- 19:52Speaker 2: and then obviously we had the Arsenal game where I
- 19:54Speaker 2: wasn't expecting a huge amount. But going on from that
- 19:57Speaker 2: now it's not in a forest. Who have conceded three
- 20:00Speaker 2: goals in three of the last four matches and then
- 20:03Speaker 2: obviously kept to clean sheeting the other one. So defensively
- 20:05Speaker 2: they are a bit inconsistent at the moment, where at
- 20:08Speaker 2: the beginning of the season they were great. After that
- 20:10Speaker 2: it's the derby against man City and I find that
- 20:13Speaker 2: one difficult to read right now. But then you get
- 20:15Speaker 2: this quite nice batch of three fixtures with Bourne with
- 20:17Speaker 2: Warts and Newcastle or a head of Liverpool and then
- 20:20Speaker 2: Southampton Bright and Fulham Crystal Palace. So I've got two
- 20:23Speaker 2: Manchester United players, Bruno who I don't need the money
- 20:27Speaker 2: out of Bruno for anybody else right now. It's not
- 20:30Speaker 2: like I if I took a million out of him,
- 20:32Speaker 2: I could get to Harlan again. I just can't like,
- 20:35Speaker 2: so he might as well stay. Like I feel like
- 20:37Speaker 2: I've got everybody else that I would need unless somebody
- 20:40Speaker 2: else from Manchester City or anywhere else really starts to
- 20:44Speaker 2: consistently be good, or I decide that actually I really
- 20:48Speaker 2: do want to stay invested in Spurs. When I sell
- 20:50Speaker 2: Selanki and I want to go to Johnson, then maybe
- 20:52Speaker 2: that's the route to do it. But I think I'm
- 20:54Speaker 2: just going to hold him. I think he has enough opportunities.
- 20:57Speaker 2: He's on set pieces the which is there's a couple
- 21:01Speaker 2: in there that I don't fancy, but the rest of
- 21:02Speaker 2: them I kind of feel like he could get returns in,
- 21:04Speaker 2: so I'll hold him.
- 21:06Speaker 3: He needs to play higher up on the page. Yesterday
- 21:08Speaker 3: was he played in those two like in the two
- 21:10Speaker 3: double pavot and outside of pieces which he was good
- 21:13Speaker 3: obviously the free kick for the de lit header and
- 21:16Speaker 3: then the A twenty one too. That was a combination.
- 21:19Speaker 3: But apart from that is I think he's too far
- 21:21Speaker 3: from especially in the game like yesterday where they just
- 21:23Speaker 3: wanted to defend first and not concede instead of attacking.
- 21:27Speaker 3: I think he struggles to create anything because he's too
- 21:29Speaker 3: far away from where he should be. But probably in
- 21:32Speaker 3: those easier games, like you said, sim, I would expect
- 21:34Speaker 3: him to go back to an Insie ten position and
- 21:36Speaker 3: then he's far more influential. Yeah.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Agree, So definitely worth seeing what Amon continues to do
- 21:42Speaker 1: with that team. A big win for Everton at Goodison Park,
- 21:45Speaker 1: struggling to score goals, even Dominic calvit Lewin got an assist.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I would have loved those points, but I finally pasted
- 21:51Speaker 1: the company at the weekend. A minus four for Craig Dawson,
- 21:54Speaker 1: two own goals and of course those four goals conceded
- 21:57Speaker 1: to more importantly to our FBI teams. Another zero pointer
- 22:02Speaker 1: for ignored. Should we be worried too?
- 22:06Speaker 3: Maybe? I mean they look better at some points, and
- 22:08Speaker 3: he was so attacking and his numbers and starts and
- 22:13Speaker 3: data was really good, so especially going forward, so I
- 22:16Speaker 3: think he made sense to get him. They've got a
- 22:19Speaker 3: decent run a fixture. They've got west Ham, Ipswich, Leicester
- 22:23Speaker 3: before playing United and Space, so at least for the
- 22:25Speaker 3: next three which I think we should keep whoever we
- 22:29Speaker 3: have from Wolves. They might have a new manager as well.
- 22:31Speaker 3: We don't know yet, but it looks like Gary on
- 22:34Speaker 3: andis under a lot of pressure, so he might stay
- 22:35Speaker 3: and turn things around, and we hope that for him
- 22:38Speaker 3: and the club. But if they were to change, they
- 22:40Speaker 3: might also be a manager bound somewhere that could benefit
- 22:43Speaker 3: the players that we have from Wolves in our teams,
- 22:45Speaker 3: so that we need to keep an eye on that.
- 22:48Speaker 3: They were just nothing when they were yesterday. The only goals,
- 22:52Speaker 3: the chances that they missed. Kuniya could have scored easily
- 22:54Speaker 3: one or two goals. It was just not the night
- 22:57Speaker 3: and we're watching it. You just feel a little bit
- 22:59Speaker 3: for them because it was clearly not that now from
- 23:02Speaker 3: very early on you could tell, and went on to Everton,
- 23:04Speaker 3: But for Warves, I was just keep atting Nori and
- 23:07Speaker 3: kun and last on whoever you have a little bit longer,
- 23:10Speaker 3: at least give them the next three games to see
- 23:13Speaker 3: where they are.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I agree, and be interesting to see
- 23:17Speaker 1: what happens there and Liverpool as well. What a game
- 23:19Speaker 1: I mentioned Esac got to mention the Liverpool side of things,
- 23:22Speaker 1: Sam mixed. Maybe from an FBI point of view for
- 23:25Speaker 1: those that own Trent, Alexandra andald Bench come on to
- 23:28Speaker 1: get two assists for both of Salah's goals. And I mean,
- 23:30Speaker 1: I don't think we need to talk about most Salar anymore,
- 23:32Speaker 1: do we essential?
- 23:33Speaker 3: Now?
- 23:33Speaker 1: Surely?
- 23:34Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 23:35Speaker 2: I mean, I think he is essential. I think the
- 23:37Speaker 2: way that he is playing right now, like you just
- 23:41Speaker 2: he feels inevitable, doesn't he Like I'm watching the Liverpool
- 23:43Speaker 2: game yesterday and he's not done anything yet. And then
- 23:47Speaker 2: but I kept saying to Lee, I was like, at
- 23:49Speaker 2: some point, you just know that he will do something
- 23:51Speaker 2: because he's magic, Like he's got this ability to just
- 23:54Speaker 2: make something out of nothing. Trent comes on assist him twice,
- 23:58Speaker 2: and then he's like, he just looks phenomenal. And I
- 24:01Speaker 2: think if from an FPL stance, if you don't have him,
- 24:03Speaker 2: it must be torturous every week to have him returning
- 24:08Speaker 2: the level of points that he does. And as I
- 24:10Speaker 2: said at the beginning of this, I think, you know,
- 24:11Speaker 2: probably we should just be handing in the armband and
- 24:13Speaker 2: saying have it all season the way that he's playing
- 24:16Speaker 2: right now. And Trent Our criticized Trenth quite a lot
- 24:19Speaker 2: this season, and not really because I think he's bad,
- 24:22Speaker 2: but just because in FPL is so expensive and owning
- 24:24Speaker 2: him is tough when you're not getting returns. And I
- 24:29Speaker 2: think seeing him on the bench last night, I was like,
- 24:31Speaker 2: it just kind of always him out of conversation again,
- 24:33Speaker 2: but then he comes in and he's so good, Like
- 24:35Speaker 2: I know he's been recovering from an injury and maybe
- 24:37Speaker 2: they're bringing him back slowly, and all of that he
- 24:38Speaker 2: came on made such a difference. So heading into the weekend,
- 24:42Speaker 2: you would expect him to be back in the starting
- 24:45Speaker 2: and everyone, I think, you know, this season he's second
- 24:48Speaker 2: for defenders, for chance he's created, even though he's missed
- 24:50Speaker 2: a load of games through injury. So far, it's only
- 24:54Speaker 2: Leave Davis that has been more creative than Trent has.
- 24:56Speaker 2: So I think I've only got Salah in my team,
- 25:02Speaker 2: and I'm think I kind of feel like you need
- 25:05Speaker 2: to have more than.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Just going to say doesn't feel enough, does it? It
- 25:08Speaker 1: feels that we need more loop cover.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Yeah, But then so where do you go? You can
- 25:13Speaker 3: go for Virgil and really they constantly three goals yesterday,
- 25:15Speaker 3: but they've been very good defensively through the whole season.
- 25:17Speaker 3: When Konnati comes back, it might be a decent pig.
- 25:20Speaker 3: But but then the points are in attackers really because
- 25:23Speaker 3: they create so much and they score so much. If
- 25:25Speaker 3: you can't get to trends, but then where do you go?
- 25:29Speaker 3: Because outside of Salah, if you look at all the
- 25:31Speaker 3: other attackers with deers had that incredible stuff the season
- 25:35Speaker 3: and then and then just went back to normal. Darwin
- 25:38Speaker 3: is Darwin. Then you've got Curtis Jones. Okay, scored yesterday
- 25:41Speaker 3: and has had a couple of good games. But sometimes
- 25:44Speaker 3: so it was lifestyles sometimes Curtis Jones Stard, sometimes Johones
- 25:46Speaker 3: Star's deeper. So you just don't know. MacAllister, Gravin Bush.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Yes you can have them, but they are more defensive
- 25:51Speaker 3: mining players in this system, even if they go forward
- 25:54Speaker 3: a lot, so outside it's a bit that the man
- 25:56Speaker 3: city each other that we had earlier. Okay, Salah is
- 25:58Speaker 3: a given, but then who do you go after? Trent
- 26:01Speaker 3: is very expensive for a defender, so he's just finding
- 26:04Speaker 3: the right other guy from Liverpool to bring into your team.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Justins back soon though, so that might be an option.
- 26:10Speaker 3: True, but with Jota take away a little bit of
- 26:12Speaker 3: what Salah does, because it feels to me that all
- 26:15Speaker 3: the others are working for Salah. Jota is a finisher,
- 26:18Speaker 3: and I think Jota will take a bit of the
- 26:20Speaker 3: chances maybe that are created for Salah. Right now, I'm
- 26:23Speaker 3: not sure Jota coming back and starting is really good
- 26:26Speaker 3: for us. I might be wrong completely, but it might
- 26:29Speaker 3: just take a little bit away of what Salah is
- 26:32Speaker 3: good at the moment, which is pretty much everything.
- 26:34Speaker 1: And finally, J always have to talk about Arsenal as well.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you how I found out that
- 26:42Speaker 1: both of you had got clean sheets plus goals for
- 26:44Speaker 1: your team. I was a live presenting the Manchester City
- 26:46Speaker 1: game and they said, right, Kelly, next you're going to
- 26:48Speaker 1: go to a graphic with the fixtures and results, and
- 26:52Speaker 1: it was going to beat and still, can you just
- 26:54Speaker 1: check who scored for Arsenal so I can say that, yeah,
- 26:56Speaker 1: you know where I will send you here. So I
- 26:58Speaker 1: was going yet last night there was two games, and
- 26:59Speaker 1: tonight did it and they went literally as I was
- 27:01Speaker 1: saying something else, I said, and I finished here three nil.
- 27:04Speaker 1: They went Timber and Silliba on target. And I wanted
- 27:07Speaker 1: to go, you what, because I was like, I know
- 27:10Speaker 1: that Gabrielle has the staff is he's not got a
- 27:12Speaker 1: clean sheet, but both of those Jammy swings.
- 27:14Speaker 3: I was awesome.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Going to get gold is meant to be the defensive.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Goal scorer that we all know that they're so good
- 27:24Speaker 2: from set pieces, aren't they like they're so good from them.
- 27:26Speaker 2: It only takes like one And actually about two minutes
- 27:32Speaker 2: after the timbergo I could have done exactly the same
- 27:33Speaker 2: thing again, and I was like, a break. You should
- 27:37Speaker 2: be you should be grateful.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Do we need to I mean, Sam's already done it, Jiels.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Do we need to jump on the bandwagon and double
- 27:44Speaker 1: up on that Arsenal defense?
- 27:46Speaker 3: Yeah you can. I mean is an expensive goalkeeper, but
- 27:49Speaker 3: he's been obviously very good for most of this season.
- 27:51Speaker 1: I'm considering it. I'm sorry, Flecking, I'm considering it.
- 27:54Speaker 3: I know, I know you should. I mean, even Flecking,
- 27:56Speaker 3: I think he's considering himself for he's on team. So
- 27:58Speaker 3: I think you should. Timber is good because, as we said,
- 28:01Speaker 3: he's really good value for money. He's quite cheap compared
- 28:03Speaker 3: to Gabrielle Saliba, who scored with his bottom obviously, which
- 28:08Speaker 3: makes it even better, you know, but it all counts,
- 28:11Speaker 3: as he says, But yeah, I think Timber Raya, you're
- 28:16Speaker 3: gonna go with two defenders. Sorry, that's what I want
- 28:18Speaker 3: to say, Timber and Gabrielle, gabriel and Saliba. Timber and Saliba.
- 28:21Speaker 3: For example, The thing with if you have Raya, if
- 28:24Speaker 3: you go with Raya and one of the defenders. Raya
- 28:26Speaker 3: is also the points saves, et cetera, et cetera, So
- 28:29Speaker 3: I would I would go Riya and a defender more
- 28:31Speaker 3: than two defenders. But you can go for two defenders
- 28:33Speaker 3: as well, because as we said, Timber is cheaper than
- 28:35Speaker 3: Raya and pretty much all the other starters in the arsenal,
- 28:39Speaker 3: the defenders.
- 28:40Speaker 2: I don't think Timber is going to stay cheap for
- 28:42Speaker 2: a very long time, So go for him.
- 28:43Speaker 1: He already had a price ride this week, hasn't He's
- 28:45Speaker 1: had five point six, isn't that.
- 28:47Speaker 2: I suspect that we will see that quite a bit,
- 28:49Speaker 2: and he won't be that long before he's sort of
- 28:51Speaker 2: getting close to the six million brackets. So if you
- 28:53Speaker 2: do want to go and have the double up and
- 28:56Speaker 2: go cheaper, then go quicker.
- 29:00Speaker 1: What about the double arsenal attack? Would you be tempted?
- 29:05Speaker 1: Or is it just soaka? Do you think we just
- 29:06Speaker 1: need to have now?
- 29:07Speaker 3: So Socca? Yeah? Especially, I mean I guarantee you now
- 29:11Speaker 3: that I've brought him into the team, yeah exactly, he's
- 29:14Speaker 3: going to just be very good, but average, not as
- 29:16Speaker 3: good as it was before when I didn't have him.
- 29:18Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but doesn't know how to be average.
- 29:20Speaker 3: No, that's very true, that's right true. And even yesterday
- 29:23Speaker 3: despite the first half where him and other guard were
- 29:25Speaker 3: really well marked by this United team that played very
- 29:27Speaker 3: well defensively in their own structure, and we're clearly there
- 29:30Speaker 3: to frustrate Arsenal more than anything else. Even in the
- 29:33Speaker 3: second half. You see that. You just I don't think
- 29:36Speaker 3: you can keep them both quiet for much longer than
- 29:39Speaker 3: than forty five minutes, because after that it's still too good,
- 29:41Speaker 3: and the Arsenal structure is it is too efficient in
- 29:44Speaker 3: many ways, and Soka was a little bit unlucky to
- 29:47Speaker 3: only get the three points I felt, and some for
- 29:49Speaker 3: the guard. We can say too, But do you go
- 29:52Speaker 3: Soaka and other guards Saka and Martin Elli have it?
- 29:57Speaker 3: It's difficult, I think, so I would more go for
- 29:59Speaker 3: Soaka and maybe double up at the back Parsenal.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Yeah, you agree, you're nodding along. That's what I've done. Yeah,
- 30:06Speaker 1: that's kind of why I asked you, because Jules, because
- 30:08Speaker 1: I knew you'd already done that, So I just intrigued,
- 30:10Speaker 1: is to that's what Jews thinks as well. Okay, then,
- 30:13Speaker 1: like I said, not too much time before GOME Week
- 30:15Speaker 1: fifteen gets underwel. I'm gonna be honest, it's nine o'clock
- 30:18Speaker 1: on Thursday morning. I'm struggling to process game week fifteen.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I always find it really hard until I know exactly
- 30:22Speaker 1: how my score is finished this week because so much happen.
- 30:25Speaker 1: We can have injuries or whatever. But let's try and
- 30:28Speaker 1: look ahead to it. The next deadline for you, it's
- 30:30Speaker 1: Saturday morning when you look ahead to that game weeks now,
- 30:33Speaker 1: what are the things and the players and teams maybe
- 30:35Speaker 1: that stand out to you. I mean, Aston Villa were
- 30:39Speaker 1: a bit of a surprise to me. Yesterday.
- 30:41Speaker 2: I performed much better.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Than I can't believe. I didn't mention Morgan Rodgers.
- 30:44Speaker 2: I know I enjoyed that.
- 30:45Speaker 3: The hair is the hair.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I enjoyed Morgan Rodgers's points yesterday, Thank you very much, Morgan. So, yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 2: and I think they stand out, don't they? Because they're
- 30:52Speaker 2: coming up against Southampton. They're going to have another suspension
- 30:56Speaker 2: this weekend because of the Jack Stevens records, so for
- 30:59Speaker 2: pulling hair careers, yeah, madness, but yeah, so he will
- 31:04Speaker 2: be out for three games now. So now I think
- 31:06Speaker 2: going into this one you've got Rogers and Watkins. Like
- 31:10Speaker 2: for those players that held Watkins for all this time,
- 31:13Speaker 2: you're finally getting a bit of reward out of him.
- 31:16Speaker 2: He's finally starting to get that kind of consistency back
- 31:19Speaker 2: in his game. It feels like anyway. And the fixtures
- 31:22Speaker 2: are nice for Villa. Obviously they've got Southampton next, then
- 31:24Speaker 2: it's Forest, then there's a couple of difficult ones there
- 31:27Speaker 2: with man City and Newcastle, but then after that Brighton, Leicester, Everton,
- 31:31Speaker 2: Like there's some really good games in there. And if
- 31:33Speaker 2: you can afford to have Oli Watkins, and I think
- 31:35Speaker 2: that's the problem, isn't it. If you can afford to
- 31:37Speaker 2: have Oli Watkins, then I think that you would. But Rogers,
- 31:41Speaker 2: I think he just still feels like a gift, doesn't he.
- 31:43Speaker 2: So at the price point that he is, I'm going
- 31:46Speaker 2: to enjoy earning him for the next few weeks. He
- 31:48Speaker 2: can go on the bench in weeks where the fixtures
- 31:50Speaker 2: are more difficult, like in seventeen against Manchester City. I
- 31:53Speaker 2: still don't think you really want a defender from Aston
- 31:55Speaker 2: Villa though, because they're just not They're just not defensively
- 31:59Speaker 2: keeping them cleanshes.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Yet, No, it does feel that way, doesn't it. I
- 32:02Speaker 1: wonder with Watkins though, it's tough because there's so many
- 32:06Speaker 1: forwards that we want. Would you would you still want?
- 32:10Speaker 2: He's expensive and I think yeah, because even like you
- 32:13Speaker 2: can go down to East Sack, he's cheaper as well.
- 32:15Speaker 2: And obviously Jackson's in the conversation. There's loads of them,
- 32:19Speaker 2: aren't there. But like, I'm so because I've got Sankey,
- 32:22Speaker 2: who's like obviously missed the weekend, and I didn't know
- 32:25Speaker 2: if I wanted to take a minus four for him,
- 32:27Speaker 2: Like it felt a bit ridiculous to take a minus
- 32:30Speaker 2: four when I didn't know how how ill he was
- 32:32Speaker 2: and whether he was going to make it or not.
- 32:34Speaker 2: And I had Wood who could just come off the
- 32:36Speaker 2: bench if necessary. But I am looking at that's a
- 32:39Speaker 2: Nankey position and thinking it's an opportunity to bring in
- 32:43Speaker 2: somebody different, And maybe that's eat Sak, maybe that's Jackson,
- 32:46Speaker 2: Maybe it's Watkins to kind of try and exploit those
- 32:49Speaker 2: fixtures that he has and double up with Rogers, because
- 32:54Speaker 2: Rogers is the obvious one, I think, because he's so
- 32:56Speaker 2: much cheaper, but Watkins feels nice to have as well.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Joe's what else? Sam out to you the game with fifteen.
- 33:02Speaker 3: I think the Spurs Chelsea game on Sunday afternoon. I
- 33:04Speaker 3: don't know if time, if you're going, but there is
- 33:06Speaker 3: this just if you're a neutral, this is the game
- 33:10Speaker 3: to watch this weekend because it's going to be so open.
- 33:12Speaker 3: You could easily finish three, three, four four. I think
- 33:15Speaker 3: there's a lot of goals in it, especially if you
- 33:17Speaker 3: have attacking players from both those teams in your FPL team.
- 33:21Speaker 3: If you have Johnson or so Lunky if he plays,
- 33:24Speaker 3: or even a Kruzski, I think it's going to come
- 33:26Speaker 3: back into the team Son or Jackson, Palmer, Madwik, whoever
- 33:30Speaker 3: you are from Chelsea point of view as well, then
- 33:33Speaker 3: you know exactly what's going to happen in that game.
- 33:35Speaker 3: So it's going to be I think it's going to
- 33:36Speaker 3: be fantastic to finish the weekend with that game.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it will be good. It's a tough one from
- 33:41Speaker 1: an FPL point of view, that's for sure. I'm really
- 33:44Speaker 1: intrigued though, to see and this is why I think
- 33:45Speaker 1: I'm struggling with talking about Saturday as well, the game
- 33:49Speaker 1: with ahead, sorry, the whole weekend as well, because we
- 33:52Speaker 1: haven't seen the likes of Bournemouth tonight. We haven't seen
- 33:54Speaker 1: what Spurs are going to do because I look at
- 33:56Speaker 1: I look at Bournemouth traveling tips which the Bournemouth had
- 33:59Speaker 1: returns at the weekend as well. That stands that fixture
- 34:02Speaker 1: stands out to me too. And yeah, there's just there's
- 34:04Speaker 1: quite a few interesting on Manchester United against Nottingham Forest.
- 34:07Speaker 1: And what are you gonna do with Chris Wood? Good question.
- 34:11Speaker 2: He's currently on the bench because he's in that rotation.
- 34:14Speaker 2: If you remember when I bought him, I said I
- 34:15Speaker 2: was buying him because he was rotate nice with Rogers.
- 34:18Speaker 2: So obviously he's is his week to sit on the
- 34:20Speaker 2: bench because Rogers I want to play in that nice
- 34:22Speaker 2: game that he's got against Southampton. So I might actually
- 34:25Speaker 2: sell Chris with this week, or I might just leave
- 34:27Speaker 2: him on the bench. Or It's so hard to know
- 34:29Speaker 2: what to do with him. I'm kind of torn because
- 34:32Speaker 2: obviously I've also got Dallo. I'm probably going to bench him.
- 34:35Speaker 2: I might sell him.
- 34:36Speaker 1: What would you do, Jeles, I.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Don't know, but we've said it from the beginning. It
- 34:41Speaker 3: was great until he lasted for Forest. Sorry, they were great.
- 34:44Speaker 3: They were third or some points We've praised Nuno and
- 34:48Speaker 3: we praised Wood. We talked about his XG and his
- 34:51Speaker 3: good and that he was literally walking on water. But
- 34:54Speaker 3: we also said at some point this is going to stop,
- 34:56Speaker 3: and I'm sure he's going to score a few more
- 34:58Speaker 3: goals between now and the end of the season. The
- 35:00Speaker 3: Wolves have gone back to being Sorry, I keep saying wolves, Forest,
- 35:04Speaker 3: I've gone back to be a bit more FORESTD if
- 35:06Speaker 3: you want, which is fine, that we're never going to
- 35:09Speaker 3: stay third anyway, So did you a graduate at this
- 35:11Speaker 3: half of the season? And now I think it starts
- 35:14Speaker 3: to be a bit more difficult for Woods for others,
- 35:16Speaker 3: even if they created chances. As we said at City yesterday, defensively,
- 35:20Speaker 3: you could see they don't certainly don't have the same
- 35:22Speaker 3: impact that they used to. So I think it's a
- 35:25Speaker 3: little bit tricky. I would sell Chris Wood right now.
- 35:28Speaker 3: I think it's probably the right time. Yeah.
- 35:29Speaker 1: I know a lot of people that owned him were
- 35:31Speaker 1: kind of talking about selling in before the Manchester City game,
- 35:33Speaker 1: and then a few people samon man City aren't so great. Defensively,
- 35:36Speaker 1: did have that glorious chance which arguably could have changed
- 35:39Speaker 1: the game completely. I think Howdi scored it, so yeah,
- 35:42Speaker 1: I imagine we'll see a lot more sellers for him,
- 35:43Speaker 1: particularly while other forwards do well. And the Mersey started
- 35:46Speaker 1: derby is going to be quite an interesting one, Sam,
- 35:48Speaker 1: isn't it Because Liverpool obviously been imperious, only lost once
- 35:51Speaker 1: this season, but did can see three at Saint James's
- 35:55Speaker 1: Park and Everton might have got a bit of a
- 35:56Speaker 1: glimmer of confidence too.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Well.
- 35:59Speaker 2: I think they will, you know, I don't think. I
- 36:01Speaker 2: don't think it necessarily matters who who that win comes against.
- 36:05Speaker 2: To get a big win like that makes a massive difference.
- 36:08Speaker 2: PI in front of the Everton fans who have long
- 36:11Speaker 2: suffered so far this season, and they'll go into the
- 36:13Speaker 2: game at the weekend. We've got a couple of derbies obviously,
- 36:16Speaker 2: the Spars one and then and then the Mersey Side one,
- 36:18Speaker 2: and I think I think Liverpool win the game. But
- 36:22Speaker 2: I don't necessarily think that we should. I don't think
- 36:26Speaker 2: it'll be as easy. We're going to catch someway Salah though,
- 36:29Speaker 2: aren't we lunchtime kickoff? Kelly?
- 36:30Speaker 1: Are we?
- 36:31Speaker 3: Oh? You know what some thing's about.
- 36:35Speaker 1: But we've also discussed you mentioned him as a potential
- 36:38Speaker 1: permit captain earlier. I know the fact that.
- 36:40Speaker 3: We've thirty five points in the last two game week
- 36:43Speaker 3: because I didn't captain Mosala. Surely I can't be that
- 36:45Speaker 3: stupid again.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Oh but you don't know while you're talking, maybe you're
- 36:49Speaker 1: going to be.
- 36:51Speaker 3: No, I have to captain Salah. It's literally killing me
- 36:54Speaker 3: one of my children, because you know, we have a
- 36:56Speaker 3: secret chip coming up at some point from the game right,
- 36:59Speaker 3: and one of my I kild said last night, what
- 37:01Speaker 3: if that ship was that you only choose your captain
- 37:05Speaker 3: once the game week is finished, So this is a
- 37:08Speaker 3: treat on you and then you don't pick it before
- 37:10Speaker 3: the game week starts, but at the end, so you
- 37:11Speaker 3: can pick anybody you want, obviously the one with the
- 37:13Speaker 3: highest point in your team. I was like, this is perfect.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Then I will sort of all our captain issues and
- 37:18Speaker 3: then we can we can wait to see who has
- 37:20Speaker 3: the most point Mosalah and then captain him.
- 37:22Speaker 1: I mean, I don't have a clue what the mystery
- 37:23Speaker 1: chip is, but that feels a bit too generous and
- 37:25Speaker 1: for now, Joel's you do definitely have to pick the captain,
- 37:30Speaker 1: But surely, Sam, will you really be put off just
- 37:33Speaker 1: by being the twelve thirty fixture? Who else were you captain?
- 37:35Speaker 2: I will be put off by being the I know
- 37:37Speaker 2: it will, like I hate it, Kelly. Honestly, you've never
- 37:41Speaker 2: had to deal with me on a Saturday when I've
- 37:42Speaker 2: captained somebody in the lunchtime kickoff. I am not nice,
- 37:45Speaker 2: Like I'm not nice to be around. Genuinely. It really
- 37:48Speaker 2: stresses me out. I causes it ruins the whole weekend.
- 37:51Speaker 2: And I've got wait, I've got spurs last. This whole
- 37:56Speaker 2: weekend could turn to absolutely mud. I got Sokka Against
- 38:00Speaker 2: could go there. I've got Bruno yet Snotting or Forest,
- 38:04Speaker 2: I could go there.
- 38:06Speaker 1: I want to come.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Sack against surely that's a given. Surely, and you'll be
- 38:11Speaker 3: there as we watching Him's called a hat trick.
- 38:13Speaker 2: No, I'm not going this time because Jewels. Remember the
- 38:16Speaker 2: last time I went and watched Chelsea, Well, everyone got
- 38:20Speaker 2: injured or sent off. Do you remember it was that
- 38:22Speaker 2: game season from in last season. Yeah, vander Ven and
- 38:27Speaker 2: Madison got injured and we're out forever. Romero and you
- 38:29Speaker 2: Doggie got sent It was horrendous. No, I've got Christmas
- 38:33Speaker 2: activities planned for the weekend, so i can't go to
- 38:35Speaker 2: this one, quite relieved about it. I don't know, like
- 38:38Speaker 2: I think there are other captaincy options. I guess that's
- 38:40Speaker 2: what I'm saying. I think, Salom, I don't know how
- 38:42Speaker 2: we've ended up to talking about captaincy right now, but
- 38:44Speaker 2: because I think.
- 38:44Speaker 1: It's I think that's the main talking point from that
- 38:46Speaker 1: because Everton Liverpool. Yes, it's the early kickoff, but most
- 38:50Speaker 1: Salah surely is the best player in the game. Is
- 38:52Speaker 1: standout captaincy. There's no debate over whether we play him. No,
- 38:56Speaker 1: not many of us are owned own Everton players. I mean,
- 39:00Speaker 1: I've got Micheleenko and I'm not going to be starting
- 39:02Speaker 1: him because why would you start an Everton defender against
- 39:04Speaker 1: Liverpool and most Salah. So the conversation really with that
- 39:07Speaker 1: fixture is do we captain him? And I think for
- 39:10Speaker 1: most sensible human beings, yes, Sam. The more you go
- 39:14Speaker 1: on about this, the credibility of this podcast this we've
- 39:16Speaker 1: got one member of our team who only who's got
- 39:19Speaker 1: this not weird because he's Parisian, but success with Paris
- 39:22Speaker 1: born players and his friends. Now you're basically saying you
- 39:25Speaker 1: don't make sensible You're meant to be the expert around here. Sam,
- 39:28Speaker 1: you can't be saying you won't captain the best player
- 39:30Speaker 1: in the game because of the time of his fixture.
- 39:34Speaker 2: When you say it like that, it does sound ridiculous.
- 39:36Speaker 1: It is. I'm sorry, I'm calling you out on this.
- 39:38Speaker 3: It is.
- 39:38Speaker 1: And the listeners are going to agree with me. I
- 39:40Speaker 1: think you agree.
- 39:41Speaker 3: Let us know I agree as well.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Don't put it in them, don't put it in our rating.
- 39:44Speaker 1: That will affect our rating just on social media. I
- 39:46Speaker 1: don't know. We'll see what I decided to do. I've
- 39:48Speaker 1: got other options. I think that's what I'm saying. At
- 39:50Speaker 1: the moment. My bust team captain is not on Salah.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Who is it?
- 39:53Speaker 3: Then some SOAKA, your weekend is going to be so
- 39:56Speaker 3: Salascor's a hatchweak early on Saturday, and then your whole
- 39:59Speaker 3: weekend is amazing.
- 40:00Speaker 1: The only thing I would say is last week when
- 40:01Speaker 1: I catched him Tyler instead of Soccer, I got that wrong.
- 40:04Speaker 1: So yeah, I don't think it's that bad decision. And
- 40:07Speaker 1: we're running out of time here, won't surprise you, and
- 40:10Speaker 1: so we're going to move on quickly through. I'm just
- 40:12Speaker 1: going to do a word on the suspensions because, as
- 40:15Speaker 1: Sam mentioned, Jack Stevens of Southampton got a straight red.
- 40:17Speaker 1: That means we'll get a three game burn. McAllister was
- 40:20Speaker 1: suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card. Benton Curry Kenny,
- 40:23Speaker 1: of course, also remains suspended. Jackson is one yellow card
- 40:27Speaker 1: still away from that suspension. Maybe you'll play at the weekend,
- 40:30Speaker 1: who knows, And we're going to do a long view checking,
- 40:32Speaker 1: but we actually don't have time for that now. We'll
- 40:34Speaker 1: do that in the next podcast. Instead, we're going to
- 40:35Speaker 1: talk about differential of the week and Jewels. I thought
- 40:38Speaker 1: of you when I saw the ends. I had got
- 40:39Speaker 1: an assist. Has he got an assist? Here was your
- 40:41Speaker 1: differential last week? A much needed point. I don't think
- 40:44Speaker 1: you're on a roll because neither.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Of you got one last week.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Actually I'll let you off, let off, but hold on.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Doesn't it go against your point of picking like top
- 40:57Speaker 1: players you picked to Chelsea.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Player because Sam picked like Enzo Bruno, Fernandez and who
- 41:04Speaker 3: did you feel Forden? I mean, like, come on, just
- 41:08Speaker 3: just BEFA players of the year, you know, okay, right,
- 41:11Speaker 3: let's not go down this ute.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Jews went Enzo, he got five points, so that assist
- 41:14Speaker 1: Sam went on and I got three points went off
- 41:16Speaker 1: before the clean sheet went so that was very unfortunate.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Jos are you going with this week?
- 41:21Speaker 3: I've chosen me Tom from Brighton because I watched him
- 41:26Speaker 3: in the last game where I Guessthampton. Okay there was
- 41:28Speaker 3: a draw, but he was very very good. He scored,
- 41:31Speaker 3: He's returned back to back games. Now, he created five
- 41:33Speaker 3: or six chances of the of the two games, and
- 41:36Speaker 3: it's owned by eight point five percent of the game
- 41:40Speaker 3: and he will cost you six point five million. He
- 41:43Speaker 3: must still not be the Mitom remember of two seasons
- 41:45Speaker 3: ago where he was literally the best player in the
- 41:48Speaker 3: world and he kept returning for us. But he feels
- 41:50Speaker 3: like he's on his way back to being very very good.
- 41:53Speaker 3: So I wouldn't be surprised if against Leicester the player
- 41:56Speaker 3: Leicester at the weekend, if we've got another good mit Mat.
- 41:58Speaker 3: But again, he plays tonight, so if it's something happens
- 42:01Speaker 3: to him tonight, I don't know what that means for
- 42:04Speaker 3: a differential, but I wouldn't mean my fault insurance.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Just a quick word actually, before we get Sam cufferential,
- 42:11Speaker 1: what did you make of Leicester under read Van Nestro.
- 42:14Speaker 3: That's me.
- 42:14Speaker 1: It was a bit of a bizarre game, Jeels, because
- 42:16Speaker 1: west Ham certainly had chances, didn't they and Leicester will
- 42:19Speaker 1: afford those chances.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think this typically the kind of game
- 42:23Speaker 3: if you just look at the reason and you think,
- 42:25Speaker 3: oh Leicester a three want to win. But if you
- 42:27Speaker 3: look at the game itself and all the starts, it
- 42:30Speaker 3: was very much a game dominated by west Ham who
- 42:32Speaker 3: don't still don't know how they didn't score more than
- 42:34Speaker 3: one goal, which increases a lot of pression Petegie of
- 42:38Speaker 3: course the manager on the bench, but also showed that
- 42:41Speaker 3: there is something within this west Ham team for sure.
- 42:43Speaker 3: And Leicester maybe go a little bit lucky for Vannie
- 42:45Speaker 3: Strowack's debut, but they do the chances really really well.
- 42:48Speaker 3: So I think this is probably what we will see
- 42:50Speaker 3: a bit from from Leicester. I expect them to be
- 42:52Speaker 3: quite efficient, certainly going forward.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe looking at the going forwards from an FPR
- 42:58Speaker 1: point of view, maybe not defensively at the moment, Sam,
- 43:01Speaker 1: you diffrench all them.
- 43:02Speaker 2: So I wanted to go for Evan Neilson, but then
- 43:04Speaker 2: I didn't because I'm worried about him getting injured tonight.
- 43:07Speaker 2: So I'm you're brave picking a Brighton player, given they've
- 43:09Speaker 2: not played yet. Then I thought I'll go Jarreed Bowen,
- 43:12Speaker 2: and then I thought no Jewels all moan because I.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Already I guaranteed the second time, and.
- 43:18Speaker 2: That's why I didn't, because I knew you'd do that.
- 43:21Speaker 2: So in the end, I've gone for Diallo, and I
- 43:23Speaker 2: think I quite like the Mansester United ficture. I like
- 43:27Speaker 2: where he's playing for them. He's only only by five
- 43:29Speaker 2: point seven percent of the game. He's not going to
- 43:31Speaker 2: break the bank that Jews likes to moan at me
- 43:33Speaker 2: for picking two expensive players, so he's only going to
- 43:36Speaker 2: cost five millions, so that feels nice. And he's top
- 43:39Speaker 2: four goal attempts at United in the last four game
- 43:42Speaker 2: weeks with eight. Only Bruno has more attacking returns in
- 43:45Speaker 2: that period with five.
- 43:46Speaker 1: He's got four.
- 43:48Speaker 2: He's also created six chances. Again only Bruno has more,
- 43:51Speaker 2: and three of those has been big chances, which is
- 43:54Speaker 2: the most across that Manchester United team faces of Forest Side, who,
- 43:58Speaker 2: as I mentioned earlier in the pod, are really up
- 43:59Speaker 2: and undefensively at the moment. So in three of the
- 44:02Speaker 2: last of four they've conceded three goals, so I suspect
- 44:05Speaker 2: that there's goals in that game for United and he
- 44:07Speaker 2: seems to be part of that right now. So he's
- 44:10Speaker 2: a nice cheap brute in as well. If you can't
- 44:12Speaker 2: afford the likes of Bruno.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Okay, I well to check him for you.
- 44:14Speaker 3: Then.
- 44:15Speaker 1: On the standing so far the points, Sam is on
- 44:17Speaker 1: seventy five, Jewels is on fifty seven, so still lagging behind. Okay,
- 44:22Speaker 1: I'm catching up tally, but surely wins and I'm going
- 44:25Speaker 1: to pick and next week, so points stay Jews. Moving
- 44:30Speaker 1: on to transfers because we've already done captives. I think
- 44:33Speaker 1: myself and Jels are going to be going for Salah.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Sam is going to be spooked into transfers. Not a
- 44:39Speaker 1: chance student in the role will have done this transfer.
- 44:40Speaker 1: So have you thought with this.
- 44:42Speaker 3: Team, I've played like a mini while cart with Fortunes.
- 44:47Speaker 3: This is this is very good? Thank you?
- 44:49Speaker 1: Also, how much did you enjoy that? By the way,
- 44:50Speaker 1: So I did three transfers last week and it felt
- 44:53Speaker 1: really quite like vitalizing.
- 44:55Speaker 3: I think having too many, so my brain was literally
- 44:58Speaker 3: like was going to overheatd It was like what am
- 45:02Speaker 3: I doing? I did? So I probably put myself into
- 45:05Speaker 3: Sam's brains because that's I expect. That's why she does
- 45:08Speaker 3: a lot. I had like a million drafts of what
- 45:10Speaker 3: could do with those four transfers, moving defenders and midfielders.
- 45:15Speaker 3: No I know, but like it felt like I foll
- 45:17Speaker 3: and you you you like you said that on the
- 45:21Speaker 3: show Monday, Oh this is amazing, so you you so yeah?
- 45:26Speaker 3: I felt I felt I had to use them all and.
- 45:28Speaker 1: We're getting the blame for that. We get the plans
- 45:30Speaker 1: for everything whatever. You get the blame for everything in
- 45:34Speaker 1: my team as well, because normally it's your fault. That's
- 45:36Speaker 1: the difference. Literally no response from both of you there
- 45:39Speaker 1: because you've accepted cold Palmer, so Jors isn't doing anything
- 45:44Speaker 1: some what you do.
- 45:46Speaker 2: So I either am either going to be really really
- 45:49Speaker 2: boring and roll it or because I quite like my
- 45:52Speaker 2: team for the weekend, or the transfer I wanted to
- 45:55Speaker 2: make before Jewels made four this week was to go
- 45:57Speaker 2: from Chris Wood to Evanilson. But obviously I want to
- 46:00Speaker 2: wait and see what happens in Spurs Bournemouth game tonight,
- 46:02Speaker 2: make sure he comes through that because I do really
- 46:04Speaker 2: like the bourneou fixtures moving forward, and I think having
- 46:06Speaker 2: somebody from there makes a lot of sense, and I
- 46:09Speaker 2: don't want to sell Morgan Rodgers, so Samno is basically out,
- 46:12Speaker 2: so that would have been investing in the forward line
- 46:14Speaker 2: for him. So I might do that. I might do
- 46:17Speaker 2: nothing and then hold some money and do Jackson or
- 46:21Speaker 2: Esak the week after. But right now I'm a bit undecided.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Chris Wood.
- 46:25Speaker 2: If anyone goes, it will be Chris Wood for a
- 46:28Speaker 2: probably Evan Nelson.
- 46:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Interesting you so that because I mentioned the Bournemouth
- 46:31Speaker 1: fixture before, and the reason I'm struggling to look ahead
- 46:33Speaker 1: is because my transfer is probably going to be born
- 46:35Speaker 1: with related I think I might do a Bumo to Semeno. Yeah,
- 46:38Speaker 1: because then I've got a bit of money in the
- 46:40Speaker 1: bank and I can upgrade to get a Liverpool defender
- 46:43Speaker 1: or go to Arsenal Arsenal double up. Trying to shift
- 46:46Speaker 1: those kind of funds between positions in the team always
- 46:49Speaker 1: good fun. Also, my team value is awful, so that's
- 46:51Speaker 1: what you need to do. But yeah, we'll be watching
- 46:53Speaker 1: that game with added interest between at Bournemouth and Spurs tonight.
- 46:56Speaker 1: A reminder that game is to come alongside Fulham versus
- 47:00Speaker 1: It's Brighton, isn't it. Yeah, Fulham versus Brighton. All these
- 47:03Speaker 1: games just merge into one at this point, don't they.
- 47:05Speaker 1: That's why we'll leave everything Jills. Sam, thank you very much.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Georgs.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Where are you at the weekend?
- 47:09Speaker 3: I am not well on Saturday and in Manchester on Sunday.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Oh nice easy weekend for you normly at forty seven games.
- 47:15Speaker 2: Sam, No, I've got a million and one different Christmas
- 47:20Speaker 2: activities with the kids with the weekends, so yeah, I'm
- 47:23Speaker 2: actually having I'm a sky actually on Saturday morning in
- 47:25Speaker 2: the SkySports news show on Saturday morning, and then after
- 47:27Speaker 2: that taking the kids to some concerts and doing all
- 47:30Speaker 2: sorts of Christmasy things. So we have a great weekend
- 47:33Speaker 2: and hopefully Spurs are going to finish it with a
- 47:34Speaker 2: nice win on Sunday afternoon, because I won't be there
- 47:36Speaker 2: to ruin it, as Jewels always tells me when I
- 47:38Speaker 2: go to the game.
- 47:40Speaker 1: We will find out very surely, won't. We remind you
- 47:42Speaker 1: of deadline is eleven am on Satura. It's ninety minutes
- 47:45Speaker 1: ahead of the early fixture, which we know Sam is dreading.
- 47:47Speaker 3: What is it? Sam?
- 47:48Speaker 1: It's the merty side, Dar It is a lot of
- 47:51Speaker 1: people will be captain in Mosella, Sam Bonfield, Barrant, Janny
- 47:54Speaker 1: and Prows will be back with Off the Bench on Tuesday,
- 47:57Speaker 1: and we'll also be back on Thursday. It's OK to
- 48:00Speaker 1: Game Week sixteen. I'll be back on the Fancy Show
- 48:02Speaker 1: this Friday once again. Oh it's Janny with me actually,
- 48:05Speaker 1: so double hitter of Janny. Hopefully you like him because
- 48:07Speaker 1: it can be with you on your TV on Friday
- 48:09Speaker 1: and in your years on Monday. Do leave us a
- 48:12Speaker 1: rating and review wherever you listen to us. And thanks
- 48:15Speaker 1: as always for all of the interaction we get on
- 48:16Speaker 1: social media this week in particular, it's been really great
- 48:19Speaker 1: to hear from so many of you. Thanks guys.
