- 0:00Interesting matchmaking story. Follow up to a date that I was
- 0:04talking about. Recently I I set one of my
- 0:08younger clients up. He's my new client, my youngest
- 0:10clients, and he's adorable. He's like so smart and
- 0:13interesting. He's great.
- 0:15Anyway, so set him up this this girl from a database.
- 0:19And I say girl because she's a young girl and because he's a
- 0:21young guy. And things went really, really
- 0:24well on their first date. Like, so well, they closed the
- 0:27restaurant. Love to hear that.
- 0:29OK, Then he had tickets to Coachella with his friend.
- 0:33He had plans. He came in town from San
- 0:35Francisco and she was going to Coachella with her friends, but
- 0:39she didn't really have tickets. But they hooking up there.
- 0:42Not hooking up in that way, but just, you know, connecting
- 0:44there. He got them tickets for
- 0:46Coachella. So they all hung out and had a
- 0:47great weekend and then this happened.
- 0:50Hang on, he was just telling me about this yesterday.
- 0:53OK, So what I'm about to tell you though, I want the men to
- 0:56really listen up here because here's what I notice.
- 0:59I think men, as they get older, start to lose their fire, they
- 1:02start to lose their oomph, and then they become just like
- 1:06limping along, limping along. And and I can just feel it when
- 1:10I interact with a guy. And you, you ladies do too.
- 1:13But I think as a matchmaker, I know what it is, and I think
- 1:16it's loss of testosterone, I guess.
- 1:20And so when I interact with a guy and he just, he doesn't have
- 1:24that fire under his ass, like he's not excited about the
- 1:27woman, He's not going to go above and beyond.
- 1:29He's just lukewarm. Lukewarm.
- 1:31Lukewarm, guys, is so unsexy. Lukewarm is so unsexy.
- 1:35But this one I'm about to to tell you, is not lukewarm.
- 1:38This is red hot, and this is how you get the gal.
- 1:41Hang on, It's also not about money.
- 1:43Yes, he used his money, but it's not necessarily about money,
- 1:46truly. It's about effort and oomph and
- 1:48thinking outside the box. So anyway, so she lost her
- 1:51mascara at Coachella and it was like apparently a Chanel
- 1:57mascara. And so he says to me, he called
- 1:59me yesterday because he's still giddy and excited about her and
- 2:02they're so excited about each other.
- 2:03And she and he said, Gina, I saw that she had Chanel Mascara and
- 2:08that told me she was a woman who likes nice things and I like to
- 2:12do nice things. And he said, so I plan to
- 2:15surprise. And the surprise was this, he
- 2:18said. So I wanted to replace her
- 2:21Chanel Mascara, because she was really upset that she lost it.
- 2:23It was like a big deal to her. Ping Ding.
- 2:25Not about the money, but he was listening and paying attention.
- 2:28Listening and paying attention. OK, so whether he had the money
- 2:33or not, listening and paying attention huge.
- 2:36That shows he's got fire. He's got a fire under his ass,
- 2:39OK? And he's excited.
- 2:41So he wanted to replace her mascara.
- 2:42So he called over to, I don't know, probably Barney's in LA
- 2:47that carries Chanel and he arranged she didn't know this.
- 2:50He said you're gonna go here to get the mascara and when you
- 2:54show up. He kept it kind of secret, but
- 2:55he told her where to go, but he kept it a secret.
- 2:58So he hired A stylist there at the department store and had the
- 3:03stylist meet her. And not only did he get replace
- 3:06her Chanel mascara, he also made arrangements for her to pick out
- 3:11two Chanel items of any of her choosing.
- 3:15And so that is what I call bringing you a game and that's
- 3:18what I call having a fire under your ass And obviously she was
- 3:22surprised she was excited. So whether you have money or you
- 3:25don't, I think limping along with lukewarm effort, not
- 3:28listening, not paying attention, not really getting excited about
- 3:32the woman or excited to do nice things for her is always going
- 3:36to result in you staying single longer than you'd like.
- 3:39I I just believe that am I an advocate of like buying
- 3:42luxurious gifts to to strangers? No, I'm not really like that.
- 3:47But I do think there's something to say be said about how happy
- 3:50and excited, genuinely excited it made him.
- 3:53It wasn't like he was like some rich guy, just like here, go
- 3:56shopping, and he was just like, it's just something else I do.
- 3:59No, this kid is genuinely on fire, excited to make her happy.
- 4:04And if you come from a place of that, whether you have money or
- 4:06you don't, usually the fire is contagious.
- 4:10He feels the fire in his excitement, she feels the fire
- 4:14and the excitement and it becomes this reciprocal thing.
- 4:18It certainly is for them. I will keep you posted.
