- 0:00Because fuck you, that's why is a founding member of the Odd Pods Media
- 0:03Network. Hello, and welcome to episode two oh two. COVID strikes again.
- 0:44That absolute tip, super super excited. Yay covid. So true story.
- 0:54I had a cold the entire time I was down at MAGFest with our
- 0:59two boys, and I was therefore more vulnerable. Uh, and uh,
- 1:04I should have caught something, but I didn't. Everybody was missed me entirely.
- 1:12But Stevie got it. Stevie, I don't knock. What did you
- 1:19fo, Steve? Nothing? I might. I might have licked a few
- 1:23things while I was there. I'm not saying I wasn't around the board game
- 1:26area trying to clean things this board all right. So as a result,
- 1:34we are doing another remote show. So I am at home, but our
- 1:38boys are in the studio because let's face it, Augie was going to get
- 1:42infected one way or the other. On the other it was going to happen
- 1:49probably due to completion. And uh, follow our Patreon if you want to
- 1:55get that joke. Uh, that's awesome, and uh, we're gonna do
- 2:02a little remote show. It's just gonna be a standard episode. We got
- 2:06three games to play. Uh, and and we're gonna We're gonna they they
- 2:10kind of have a post MAGFest theme. Cool. Uh. So we're kind
- 2:15of done talking about it, but we're not quite done talking about it.
- 2:19It was very strange, you know What's funny. I keep finding or remembering
- 2:23other new things we didn't talk about in the episode, like the Golden Chicken.
- 2:25Like we talk about the chicken. It's a weird thing to forget.
- 2:30Fucking random. I unpacked the bag and it popped out, and I'm like,
- 2:32oh, yeah, fuck all right, So I guess I guess if
- 2:38I had to ask, but you've just given me the question, like,
- 2:42is is there a story you didn't get to tell when talking about MAGFest?
- 2:46Yeah? Like the Golden Chicken? Stevie, what do you got the golden
- 2:50chicken? What about tell me this story? I know the story, but
- 2:54for our list about this chef, I didn't even bring it down here.
- 2:58I thought it was down here, and it's not, but ran next camera.
- 3:01But what happened was is it was after we got our registration done,
- 3:06we got our badges. I think we just walked out and we were in
- 3:08by like the hallway, Delta h area or somewhere around there, right,
- 3:12Like we're in that hallway where all these rooms are, and there's a bunch
- 3:16of people standing staff members like directing people exits, what not, checking badges,
- 3:20you can't go here, you go this way type of thing, and
- 3:24me being me and I'm like, I got this big bag of merchant and
- 3:27I'm like I'm just trying to get rid of this at this God, because
- 3:29this is fun for me. I love spreading bfy and hydrate or dietrat shit.
- 3:32You know, it's just fun. So I'm like, I run over
- 3:36and I was like, Hey, what the fuck did I ask her?
- 3:40I can't remember. I have no idea what it was I asked you,
- 3:44But I was like, I can't I can't remember what it was. But
- 3:46it was an actual general question about something. And I was like, hey,
- 3:50I appreciate it. Here take a sticker and a button or something like
- 3:53that. And they gave her a couple of things and just like, oh
- 3:55my god, thank you so much. And I was like, yeah,
- 3:58it's a podcast, blah blah blah. I advertise, that's what I do
- 4:00is And then like she's like, would you like a chicken? And I
- 4:04was like, what she's like, would you like a super chicken. I'm
- 4:06like yeah. So she goes into her bag and she pulls a handful of
- 4:11like these little miniature like acrylic like see through fucking chickens, and it was
- 4:16one that was a golden one, and she like, think, whichever one
- 4:19you want? So I had to grab the golden chicken, dude. So
- 4:23I grabbed this little miniature golden acryllic like transparent fucking chicken. And it was
- 4:29like, right away, that was the start of MAGFest. Like it was.
- 4:31It was pretty much the mascot of our MAGFest trip from then on out.
- 4:35It was perfect. It was just so perfect, and I was like,
- 4:39this is the way. What better way to start a con? Like
- 4:42fucking got chick in with the golden chicken? Like it was pretty fast the
- 4:46golden chicken, right, hell yeah, charm Ogie. Do you happen to
- 4:54have a story that you didn't tell that you would like to tell? Now?
- 4:57Yeah? I didn't get the like flex and like yo, I played
- 5:00some mispack mand and like got like five levels. Oh yeah, fucking snap
- 5:05on one or some yeah, like destroying it. I'm like yeah, I
- 5:10got through like four levels, Like yeah, this is a lot of fun.
- 5:12See, like I used to play the show all the time, Like
- 5:14you give it a try and he like gets on there and gets killed like
- 5:15immediately like back to you, dude, just keep playing. I'm not I
- 5:21used to play it all the time too. Doesn't mean I was good at
- 5:25it. I would just play it a lot. Like out of the few
- 5:27games I was able to get it too in the arcade section that was one
- 5:31of them, and I'm like, oh, I know how to do this
- 5:33one we tried, Uh what game was it? It wasn't a Time Crisis.
- 5:39It was some other Area fifty one. It was Area fifty one game.
- 5:42Yeah, I remember Area fifty one, the shoot with the aliens and
- 5:45you're like an area yeah yeah, yeah, Like that was fun until we
- 5:49realized that our guns were horribly decing. Oh my god, they were so
- 5:54off, Like mine was off to the right a minimum minimum of an age.
- 6:00I have no idea where my shots were. We're like, I'm like,
- 6:02hold on, let me try this a second. I would shoot it
- 6:04and the screen would flash, but I'm like, no idea where the shot
- 6:08went. It's because people are in there, like sticking their fingers in there
- 6:11and ship and it's like fucking because nobody can just like leave shit alone and
- 6:15just play the game. They should know it might have needed to just be
- 6:17calibrated, but yeah, we should have thought of that. But it was
- 6:21funny at the time because like we got to the park where there was like
- 6:25an alien sprawled out on a table, like oh yeah, like a lady
- 6:30from Titanic, and I couldn't shoot them. I would have felt bad,
- 6:31It's like what the but we were so confused as is and that showed up,
- 6:35were like, wait, what the fuck? Aared you got something that
- 6:41I have? I have got two stories kind of one doesn't doesn't really relate
- 6:46to this MAGFest, but kind of does. And one of my previous magfests
- 6:49they had brought the Twilight Zone Pimel machine. Yeah, and I had that.
- 6:56I used to I used to wreck that machine back in the day at
- 6:59the supermarket. Not anymore, but it was there and I used to play
- 7:05it whenever I got a chance, Like I would go with my mom to
- 7:09get grocery specifically just to play that game, because she would give me like
- 7:13a dollar in quarters and I would still be there playing when she got out
- 7:16like an hour later, because I was good enough at that game that I
- 7:21could make that quarter last and and I I played it at MAGFest, and
- 7:29on my first ball, I cracked a billion points Jesus Man and I it
- 7:35was nuts, like I had, I had unlocked replays. I got like
- 7:40several extra balls, like it was nuts. And what's funny is what's funny
- 7:45is after that first ball, like my second and third ball, and all
- 7:47the extra ones gone like that, like I lost them almost immediately. It
- 7:51was just that first ball that was incredible. I basically I basically unlocked the
- 7:57entire game. I did every mode, I do everything in that one ball.
- 8:01And what's the reason I'm telling that story is because just before leaving for
- 8:07this MAGFest, I found out because a friend of mine checked the score because
- 8:11I took a picture of it when I was done and posted it to my
- 8:15Facebook. A friend of mine checked the score against twin galaxies official world record
- 8:20holders. I would have come like fifteenth, are you serious? And what's
- 8:26more, I was only like two hundred million off the first place. So
- 8:31if those that second, third ball and the extra ones had gone a little
- 8:35bit better, I could have posted an actual world record score like that.
- 8:39Blew my freaking mind. Oh God. So yeah, that's that's a that's
- 8:46a that's a story, and I just got reminded of it because you're misspac
- 8:50Man story. The other story I briefly wanted to tell, and it was
- 8:54just because of my stupidity. I don't remember if I talked about this during
- 8:56the MAGFest episode we did the Airbnb or not. But when I went up
- 9:03to the Video Game Museum and I played Steel Battalion with the three part joystick,
- 9:07yeah, that massive Mac joystick, I couldn't figure out how to get
- 9:13the damn thing to move. We talked about left, he didn't left joystick.
- 9:16Left joystick didn't do anything. The right joystick turned me, but the
- 9:20left joystick didn't seem to do anything. And I was like, what is
- 9:22going wrong here? And it wasn't until yesterday that I that I found out
- 9:28there are It's not just the three part joystick. There's also a set of
- 9:33pedals. Yeah yeah, that were supposed to be on the floor and I
- 9:37missed those. So I'm sitting there moving the joysticks, ignoring the pedals on
- 9:41the floor. And when I was started, I was like, son of
- 9:45a bitch. Anyway, I mean, that's what I got for just not
- 9:50knowing and not seeing them. They might not have been there, but I
- 9:54assumed they were there. It's a huge You wouldn't think there be so many
- 10:00fucking moving parts to the whole video game, right when you're so used to
- 10:05a simple controller exactly. Anyway, Uh, that's all three of us.
- 10:09We didn't do introductions or our themes or animal so far off. We haven't
- 10:16been in studio together in a while since like right before the rep. We're
- 10:20not in the studio together now, That's what I'm saying, Like we're not
- 10:24in sync at all, Like everything's off. Yeah, well just real briefly,
- 10:30I'll do quick introductions, even play the theme oka fist up. He's
- 10:33a he's a gamer and a storyteller, and he's my youngest friend. He's
- 10:37a game so chill. Second, he's a veteran podcaster, veteran podcaster,
- 10:54and Stevie, it's it's it's me and finally it's me your host pants saren
- 11:13you tick some stones for a lap two? There you go, some lightning
- 11:22introductions for you. Let's get into our game. Shall we be sure?
- 11:26Our first game isn't terribly MAGFest related. It's it's broken headlines Uh, we
- 11:33are going to take three news stories and I took the pertinent words out and
- 11:37put in blanks instead. You can get a point one of two ways.
- 11:41You need to try and guess what the real words are, and if you're
- 11:43right or at least close enough, I will give you the point. If
- 11:48you put in something that makes me laugh. On the other hand, that
- 11:50will also give you a point. So it's up to you how you want
- 11:52to play it. And you're both gonna come up with your your headlines at
- 11:56the same time, and I'll give you some thinking time. Here is your
- 12:00first headline. Uk Zoo hatches new plan to get its blank to stop blank.
- 12:11Uk Zoo hatches new plan to get its blank to stop blank. And
- 12:18when you have one, go ahead and raise your hand. Aggie, Uh,
- 12:24what was that again, UK, No, it's just like I forgot
- 12:30one. I have the blanks, but I just never say that the sentence
- 12:33uk Zoo hatches new plan to get its mandrill to stop masturbating. I mean
- 12:43that actually sounds pretty logic. I oh laughed at that on you. Oh
- 12:52man, this is difficult because now I don't want to take a masturbation joke
- 12:54on as long as it just be like copying. So let's see it was
- 12:58in the UK. Sorry I completed first. Could you run by it one
- 13:09more time real quick for me? Please? Sure? Uk Zoo hatches new
- 13:13plan to get its blank to stop blank. Hmmm, uk Zoo. Let's
- 13:24see, I cannot come with anything from the UK, so I said to
- 13:26go with something weird, and I'm sorry, and I'm hoping that it's more
- 13:31true than it's something well, no, I kind of want funny, but
- 13:33I'm gonna go with true because I have nothing right now and I want to
- 13:35kill too much time that I've been trying to think up with something new during
- 13:39this and it's not working. So this strain sucks. Okay, So I'm
- 13:43gonna go with ukzo hatches plan, and it was to stop to get its
- 13:50blank to stop blank, to get its president to stop doing political animal favors.
- 14:03I don't know what those would be, but I have a feeling that
- 14:07is the whole thing that we don't understand as a society that goes on in
- 14:09the back rooms of zoos. I'll get Stevie instead of a last that's understandable,
- 14:16giving pity that was a pity, The actual the actual headline is UK
- 14:22Zoo hatches new plan to get its parrots to stop swearing. Ah. Apparently,
- 14:31like passers by people have been going to the UK Zoo and teaching the
- 14:35parrots to say things like quote, hey, dickhead, Yeah, Polly wants
- 14:41a motherfucking cracker, legit, legit something the parrots have been saying. I
- 14:48mean, all they have to do, really, and this could satisfy everybody.
- 14:52Just make an eighteen plus parrot area. That's all it is, Like,
- 14:56have a child parrot area where they can still learn like the stuff about
- 15:00like science and nature and ship like that, but then have like another section
- 15:03you have to like what remember those newdie booths back in the day, like
- 15:07in those video stories where you can go behind the curtain and get whatever.
- 15:09Vince. It's like that, but for like parrots that swear. Yeah.
- 15:13All right, so uh Aggie is up one point to zero. Yeah,
- 15:18and we'll see if Stevie can catch up. Here is your second headline.
- 15:22Good dog Koby saves Philly neighborhood from blank in blank. Good dog Kobe saves
- 15:31Philly neighborhood from blank in blank. I think I got Pheebe's got his hand
- 15:39raised. I'm going to have you. I'm gonna have you say it.
- 15:41I'm just gonna fill in the blank so I don't screw this up too.
- 15:43That all right, GeV. Here's the headline, Good Dog Kobe saves Philly
- 15:48neighborhood from Harlem Goldtrotters in desperate need of attention. Come on, all right?
- 15:58Yeah I laughed at her, as if you've done the whole thing.
- 16:03Yeah, but yeah, you got me with her own glove trotters a little
- 16:07bit. So I'm gonna give you the point. What do you got,
- 16:12uh, good dog Kobe save his neighborhood from ship I had it and then
- 16:25I lost it from uh got it? I hate it when I draw a
- 16:33blank after you have something. Well, there's already blanks. So yeah,
- 16:37I know right, it's like I see blanks. I don't like to think
- 16:42of her blanks. So save the neighborhood from uh silly fuck silly rabbits in
- 17:02other than in there. Yeah, okay, Good dog Kobe saves Philly neighborhood
- 17:11from silly rabbits and cereal boxes. No laugh, not even remotely correct.
- 17:18The entire well, the actual headline was, good Dog Kobe saves Philly neighborhood
- 17:25from blowing up in gas explosion. Whoa found found a gas leak and warned
- 17:33his parents about it, uh and saved the day. Damn that dog deserves
- 17:38like a metal in like some free kibble. Yo. Yeah. Absolutely,
- 17:42I'm sure everybody in the neighborhoods dropped by to give him some uh some some
- 17:47treats. Yeah, dude, at least I hope. So he's a good
- 17:48boy, right. Uh So that's a kind of a pleasant news story.
- 17:53Tons of those that just made this so much better already. Our failures here
- 17:59are all right, don't seem as horrible now because that like love, love,
- 18:03loving story. All right, Well, we'll see how we do when
- 18:07we move on to our final up one piece. So it's gonna come down
- 18:11to this. Here's your third and final headline, World's oldest blank under investigation
- 18:19for blank, World's oldest blank under investigation for blank. Damn it thang brain
- 18:33work. Oh god, dude, I think I know what the truth is,
- 18:37and it's dark and gross. I don't want to do that. Oh
- 18:40let's see us. It's dark and gross now I'm curious. No, no,
- 18:48because it's true. I don't want to bring is that true. Yeah.
- 18:51Probably. If it's true, it's worth a point. Ah. Was
- 18:57that under investigation? You said, yep, for investigation? Okay, Okay,
- 19:11I think I got it. World Stevie's raised to sand but you got
- 19:15okay. World's oldest brewery under investigation for not actually putting alcohol in their beer?
- 19:26Was it not real? I don't. I'm going to reserve judgment on
- 19:30whether that snort was a laugh or not. Okay. If a doesn't make
- 19:37me laugh, I'm gonna give it to you. Stevie. I've got the
- 19:40fillings. Can you give me the sentence World's oldest gynecologist under investigation for prostate
- 19:52exam? No? No, no, which you means Stevie just edges it
- 20:00out and I'm giving him the point. So nice either. This is oddly
- 20:07related to the last story. The actual headline is World's oldest dog under investigation
- 20:12for fraud. Oh shit, he's saying he really rescued those people when it
- 20:18really was a human this whole time. Damn you, Kobe. Yeah,
- 20:23that's actually very close. The world's oldest dog is named Bobie like Bobby,
- 20:29but with one bee, and he's from I think Argentina, and his dog
- 20:36species only lives for roughly for an average of fourteen years, but Bobi was
- 20:45claimed by his family and by the records of Argentina to have lived for thirty
- 20:51one years before he sadly passed away. Now there after the Guinness Book World
- 21:00Records posted about his extraordinarily long life and his passing. Uh, veterinarians and
- 21:07animal scientists started calling Guinness by good quite a few numbers and saying, uh,
- 21:15there is no way that dog lived to be that old. That is
- 21:18physically impossible. Not to mention, the dog appears to be two different dogs,
- 21:25by the way, just judging by the pictures we've been looking at.
- 21:29So so there is there is uh, there is a there is an investigation
- 21:33coming and uh and uh. Guinness World Records has already pulled Bobie's record.
- 21:41Yeah, I assume if he's if he's, if he's uh, I found
- 21:45the innocent, it'll be it'll be reinstated. But for now he is no
- 21:49longer the world's oldest dog. Could you imagine being that? But I'm sure
- 21:52you was still a good boy? What you Yeah, it's not his fault.
- 21:56It's the it's the humans. It's not the dog's fault. Out highly.
- 22:02I genuinely don't. I don't. I don't recommend looking into that story
- 22:07too closely, because unfortunately I read what happened to the rest of Bobie's little
- 22:14brothers and sisters. Let's just say they have some really, uh really horrific
- 22:18practices. It didn't look enough like the original dog if it let me.
- 22:27I don't want to ruin our listener's day. I keep all the dogs,
- 22:34so they got rid of them. How they got rid of them is what's
- 22:38upsetting, So I would not I would not read into it. I would
- 22:41not go looking for that story. Just just ignore it and move on with
- 22:45your life like we will. And Stevie, with two points to Augie's one,
- 22:48is our winner for this game. Yay means you. Stevie has one
- 22:56episode point and when we I'm back, we're gonna play game two. OI
- 23:00can easily catch up and even take the lead because game two is worth two
- 23:03points and we're gonna play that game right after this interrupt this program to bring
- 23:18you a newsplash Michael Jackson's ghost scene at a Yankees game. Cinnamon Toa's crunch
- 23:25now with a shrimp in every bite. Lil Uzi Vert's head Diamond has been
- 23:30sold on the dark Web. Stories like this and more can be found at

- 23:44on the socials at ever Trending pod. And we are proud members of the
- 23:48Odd Pods media network. Hey man, welcome back. Before we get into
- 24:07game two, I'm told we actually have a bunch of comments and voicemails.
- 24:11Yeah we do. Did somebody forget? I gotta go do stuff. Don't
- 24:19just sit here and goof around the fucking dance and sit to the music.
- 24:23That's so funny. Okay, let's see. Let's see. The first comment
- 24:33is on our patreoon. This is from like early on in January, is
- 24:37right before we left, but I did want to to mention it. It
- 24:41was when there was a budget crap going around and it was a delay in
- 24:45our episode. It wasn't the main episode that came out on time as it
- 24:48has since we started. We've never missed one, but it was all the
- 24:52Patreon stuff got delayed like a day and a half because of the videos and
- 24:56everything. But Kristen just commented to there it was very nice and warmings.
- 25:02She said always take care of yourself first, which we truly appreciated. And
- 25:06then David M said, no worries. Life comes first, comes spelled the
- 25:11inappropriate way. Of course, I'm saying life could be a real pre ejaculator
- 25:17sometimes. Yeah, that comment caught Hoggy's eye instantaneously and it was amazing.
- 25:29Yep, He's not wrong, No, not at all. Our next comment
- 25:33came from the re release of Show one ninety nine, the mini episode number
- 25:37two. Today, I had a segment missing during the break that we just
- 25:41I just re released the episode and it was from David M. Again,
- 25:45I love Russe and Lauren. They always bring the beer and the funny with
- 25:49them, so he's down for more of them with more beer. Hell yeah,
- 25:53man, we love having Rust and Lauren on there. So much fun
- 25:57they really are, and it's cool because they bring that different like music aspect
- 26:02to our show. Like I'm not a music guy. I like music.
- 26:03I enjoy it, but you know, I'm not like anywhere as knowledgeable.
- 26:11Yeah, I say knowledgeable, that's probably the best word about it. And
- 26:12I like having them on because I always learned something new and it's yeah,
- 26:15they know, they know so much more about music than I will probably ever
- 26:19know. Right, it's impressive. It's so cool. All right. Our
- 26:23next comments are all gonna be from the show two hundred, the video version,
- 26:30the three and a half hour show. We did that freaking insane.
- 26:34We have a full We have a full video version on our Patreon that you
- 26:37can watch, and it includes you'll actually get to see like the game boards,
- 26:42You'll get to see the the spins on take your chances, you'll get
- 26:47to see the real spinning on, the Tokyrias wild, all of it.
- 26:49Yeah, yeah, the full list, like everything you'll be able to actually
- 26:52see, which is cool. And you'll be able to see the majority of
- 26:56the contestants, not the entire video too, which is nice, along with
- 26:59the little added uh still pictures on there that are pretty fun. But yeah,
- 27:04this has show number two hundred, the bfy tw's t twt y C
- 27:10in the list, with tons of guests, like so many people. It
- 27:12was amazing. Our first comment was from Donna Meggs, Congratulations on reaching your
- 27:18two hundredth episode. I have enjoyed listening contributing to your shows and it's been
- 27:22a privilege and a pleasure to support you guys whenever I look forward to the
- 27:26next two hundred plus episodes. Love you guys, oh in love kind Oh
- 27:29yeah, hecky megs is rock. Dude, love them so much, like

- 32:04loved it. Okay, so now do we move on to voicemails now we
- 32:09can't. Hey, that's all we got. It's a lot of interrogating.
- 32:13Oh my god, well we all got two. As a third one shows
- 32:17up on it, don't look please. So here's our first one. Hey

- 32:47of silky, right. I had to get him up in one of these
- 32:51games. Yeah, all right, we got one more voicemail here, friends,
- 32:59Rogan's counten and fun filled fut nuggets. Did I college just to say
- 33:07congratulations on four years of mirthmaking and two hundred episodes of pure greatness. Thank
- 33:17you for allowing me to join in and hang out with you, not cases.
- 33:25It has been a pleasure to listen to and an even bigger privilege to
- 33:31get to know you. Here's too many more years of just fun and games.
- 33:39Love you all, Boh Colin, I love you even though you're not
- 33:46my cunt anytime. No, I'm just straight premier. I'll do things.
- 34:02Holy hell, Well, it's been fun at least to reach two hundred.
- 34:08Now we're gonna get canceled by oh god, all right, let's move on.
- 34:19We we thank you so much for the lovely comments and voicemails that really
- 34:22make our day one thousand. We have to move on to the games,
- 34:27sorry, or else we'll never get through this episode. Let's play game number
- 34:30two. It's time for the cost is correct? Yes, yes, yay.
- 34:36A favorite of our players and several of our guests have mentioned it so
- 34:40the cost is correct. Is a legally distinct game where I'm going to have
- 34:46bid back and forth. You're going to bid as close as you can to
- 34:51the actual listed price of the item without going over. To win it,
- 34:54you get to bid multiple times. You must overbid the player with the highest
- 34:59bid, or you may choose to freeze your bid and stick with what you've
- 35:04got. But once you've done that, you cannot overbid again. If you
- 35:07keep bidding, and keep bidding and no one freezes at a certain point,
- 35:12I will announce final bids, at which point you are allowed to bid one
- 35:15more time or freeze. And I will do this up to the point where
- 35:21one player has gone over. So it's possible that nobody's gone over or one
- 35:28of you has already gone over by the time I say final bids, so
- 35:30bear that in mind. If at any point you both overbid, I cannot
- 35:36say final bids. I will just tell you you've both gone over bid lower
- 35:38than this number, blah blah blah, and then we'll complete the bidding at
- 35:43that point. The first player to win three listings is going to win the
- 35:46game and earn two episode points. So let's get to our first ITEMA forbids.
- 35:52Our first item of for bids is this rare Doom themed MAGFest promotional T
- 35:58shirt by fan Gamer. This T shirt from super MAGFest twenty twenty two is
- 36:02brand new, never been worn, large, and has a design celebrating MAGFest
- 36:08showing multiple video game characters in a style similar to the Doom cover art.
- 36:15And the one of you that bids closest to its sale price on eBay without
- 36:17going over will win it. So let's see, Augie. No, yes,
- 36:23ev won the last game. You're gonna go first. The starting bid
- 36:28for this is five dollars, and you may bid an increments of pennies if
- 36:31you wish the fuck I guess I'll say a dollar. I said. The
- 36:40starting bid was five dollars, sir, but you can use pennies. Use
- 36:46pennies. Cool, Yes, it was a five something five five all right,
- 36:52is August's first bid. Stevie, was it just a shirt? It
- 36:59is just a tea shirt. It is sealed, brand new, never been
- 37:02worn, but no stickers and stuff. Okay, I'm just saying cause ours
- 37:06are not with stickers and stuff, So I'm still saying I pay a dollar
- 37:09for it. I do want to be kind of bad ass. It's twenty
- 37:14twenty two, so I'm still two years old, brand new. I would,
- 37:16I would, person mind. The T shirt is also rare. I
- 37:21would personally I would pay nine dollars and twenty five cents for that, okay,
- 37:25minus shipping, no shipping. Nine dollars and twenty five cents. Is
- 37:29the new high bid, Augie? What do you wanna? What do you
- 37:31want to do? Do you want to overbit Stevie? Or do you want
- 37:34to freeze? Yeah? Eleven ninety five. Eleven ninety five, says Aggie.
- 37:43Stevie, what do you want to do? Does it look pretty bad
- 37:46ass? Looks? It looks very bad ass? Really certainly does Ah?
- 37:54Why are you looking at me like thirteen ten thirteen ten? Yeah, says
- 38:04Stevie. I'm still not giving final bids, Augie, what do you want
- 38:07to do? Sixteen thirty three? Son of them? Eighteen thirty three?
- 38:13Oh, that was gonna be my fucking ceiling. Sixteen thirty three, says
- 38:19AUGI that is the new high bid, Stevie. Would you like to overbid
- 38:22or freeze? What size is this year? Large? Large? Fucking god
- 38:27damn it? You know what I deserve? This? I deserve this.
- 38:34I'll go eighteen dollars. Eighteen dollars, says Stevie. All right, eighteen
- 38:40dollars even? Is the current bid, current high bid? Still not announcing
- 38:45final bids, Augie, it is your turn, like to overbid or freeze?
- 38:49Overbid twenty bucks? Twenty bucks even, says Augi. It is twenty
- 38:54to eighteen dollars, Stevie, would you like to overbid or freeze? Would
- 39:02you call final? That means one of us has gone over? We're close,
- 39:06I can't remember. It means you're in the vicinity. Oh, copy,
- 39:09so we have to stop. I won't tell you whether or not one
- 39:12of you has gone over or not. Right, Well, you're at twenty.
- 39:16Yeah, I'm gonna freeze. I'm gonna freeze. He's gonna freeze at
- 39:21eighteen. Yeah, okay, Aggie. Would you like to freeze at twenty
- 39:24or overbid yourself? I'm gonna freeze at twenty myself. The actual retail praise
- 39:32of this the sale price for this T shirt on eBay. Mind you,
- 39:37it's converted from Canadian currency in US dollars, It's seventy dollars and thirty three
- 39:44cents. The listen goes to Augie seventy seventy. No, I don't like
- 39:50myself that much. I wouldn't fucking spend that shit out of my shirt.
- 39:53You got nervous, which made me nervous, which is why we dug in
- 39:58so early. As motherfuckers all like you. You can use pennies and I'm
- 40:00like, oh fuck, this is low and I use pennies. But you
- 40:05can. You can keep going until I tell you final bids. You keep
- 40:08on going and feel pretty safe in doing so. But it depends on how
- 40:13high you overbid. Is I'm not buying too all right. So our second
- 40:20item up forbids is this MAGFest badge package. This package includes two badges with
- 40:27Omega Teer merchandise packs and the aside from the badge that gives you attendance to
- 40:32the event, the Omega Teer Merchandise pack includes all of the following an event
- 40:37T shirt, a spinner pin, a zip lanyard, a mag Troid squeeze
- 40:43ball, a Galactic passport, a floaty pen, a cannon mug, a
- 40:49luggage tag, a MAGFest Prime bag, the Omega Swadge version of the badge,
- 40:54a zip a zip puppet plushy, a Spaceship Tech backpack, a mag
- 41:00C Bento box, a mag Troy bottle opener, a shell for the Omega
- 41:07Swage badge, and a Danny DeVito body pad. Okay, keeping in mind,
- 41:15you get two of these plus the badges. Pricing. Pricing is at
- 41:21the full price as of the most recent MAGFest and this listing can be yours
- 41:25if the cost is correct. So I will start the bidding at one hundred
- 41:30dollars. You may bid an increments of dollars and Stevie, you lost the
- 41:36last item to go first. I know how much an actual badge costs,
- 41:38so I can be and this is gonna be stupid. It is gonna be
- 41:44And you get two of them, and you get two of them, and
- 41:45this is for this year's this next years. This is as of this most
- 41:50recent mag Oh my god, I know you get some with this is ridiculous.
- 41:55I'm gonna say, holy wrap. Is it like a priority badge too,
- 42:01or it's just a badge at special like it's it's just a it's a
- 42:06regular badge. But the the Omega Swag is actually like a playable mini console
- 42:10and it comes with at least one video game. You can do that's cool.
- 42:14I don't want that, but no, it's gonna be dumb. It's
- 42:16gonna be like nine hundred dollars. So I'm gonna say like nine. Okay,
- 42:25I think it's twelve hundred. All right, Well, I can tell
- 42:30you right now you've both overbid. Please bid lower than nine hundred and sixty
- 42:34nine dollars. Wow, it's actually I thought it was gonna be stupid,
- 42:37ridiculous, holy shit. All right, So most of the stuff's got to
- 42:43be crap then, So let's see, we'll go down to kidding. How
- 42:50about six thirty three, six hundred and thirty three dollars, says Stevie.
- 43:02All right, OGGI I could see three hundred bucks a piece for twenty oh
- 43:10on your first bid. You are allowed to bid lower, but only on
- 43:14your first bid. So Augie's bid for twenty Steve, you've bid six thirty
- 43:19three. I'm gonna go ahead and announced final bid, so you can make
- 43:22one more bid or you can freeze your choice. You with a four to
- 43:27twenty y Yeah, I can go down at this point, right or Nope?
- 43:30I can't. Nope, you can only go up. I'm good seven
- 43:36twenty seven twenty says Augie. All right, so that is the final bid,
- 43:42and I can tell you the actual full price of two Omega Tier badge
- 43:47packages is seven hundred and ten dollars. Stevie wins the item. Oh look
- 43:55he's going to Magpies. Motherfucker's over bye ye over by ten dollars. Yeah.
- 44:02Sorry, A single badge is one hundred and fifty five dollars and the
- 44:07Omega teer is two hundred, So it's three fifty five for one, seven
- 44:13ten for two. That's all it was. And you get all that extra
- 44:15shit for that little bit. Yeah, for two hundred dollars you get all
- 44:17that extra stuff. Fifty more bucks to getting all that shit and know that
- 44:21it was like fifty dollars more. Fuck not to have the money, right,
- 44:23but let's get the know for next time. Fifty dollars gets two hundred
- 44:28dollars more. Sir, Oh that's not that's for one badge, so that's
- 44:30not going to be split four ways. Never mind, that's a lot of
- 44:34Yeah, it's a little pricey, uh anyway. Okay, so it's one
- 44:37listing a piece. You're all tied. Our third am up forbids is this
- 44:42fantastic arcade machine Ultimate Mortal Kombat three released in nineteen ninety five. This is
- 44:49a pre owned machine, but the locks have been replaced, uh and the
- 44:52machine is otherwise in excellent condition. And this goes to the player who bids
- 44:58closest to the sale price on E Babe without going over. Starting bid is
- 45:01one thousand dollars, and you can bid in dollar increments, and Augie,
- 45:07you're gonna be first to bid this time, starting as one thousand, YEP,
- 45:10starting as one thousand. Ultimate three man seventeen hundred, seventeen hundred says
- 45:20I would buy it for seventeen shit have an excellent condition. I'm gonna say
- 45:23it's going to be probably closer to like well, I don't have to go
- 45:30too much higher on you right now, we'll start with twenty two thirty twenty
- 45:36two thirty, so Stevie, Augiem, we'll do twenty four six fifty.
- 45:51There's no sense too. Twenty four thousand, six hundred and fifty dollars,
- 45:55Yes, I know, two thousand dollars thousand, six hundred fifty, right,
- 46:04what we're at the two thousand, thousand, six hundred fifty, yeah,
- 46:10do six five zero, STEVIEE, what do you want to do.
- 46:15I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with you at twenty six. I'm gonna
- 46:21go forty five hundred, forty five hundred. Yeah, and I'm gonna call
- 46:30call final bits. Wow four six seven five, four thousand, six hundred
- 46:43seventy five. Yeah, m hmm, you have both over bit please been
- 46:52lower than forty five hundred dollars starting with Stevie h thirty seven hundred, Dude
- 47:01thirty seven hundred, Augie thirty eight hundred, All right, Stevie, God
- 47:16damn it. Oh, I don't know if I want to overbid him,
- 47:23but I'll go you at thirty eight. I'll go thirty eight fifty. What
- 47:34was your bid again? Three eight five zero thirty eight to fifty. Yeah,
- 47:42we're tiptoeing, Augie four thousand, one hundred and twenty five four thousand,
- 47:52one hundred twenty five. Now I will call final bids yet again.
- 48:02God damn it four thousand, two hundred. Ooh, Aggie, God,
- 48:23I think I've got a chill. You're gonna freeze with four thy one twenty
- 48:30five. All right. In that case, the bidding is over, and
- 48:34this item, this fantastic Ultimate Comment three machine is valued at four thousand,
- 48:40three hundred and forty nine dollars, so Stevie wins the listing. Can I
- 48:45won a Mortal komback game? Are you over play Mortal Combat with me?
- 48:51Yep? I will absolutely play Mortal Kombat with you, all right? It
- 48:54is two items to see me one item at Augie. Augie needs this to
- 49:00stay in the game. Here is our fourth item up forbids, and it's
- 49:02this stunning pinball table. The Adams Family pinball table came out in nineteen ninety
- 49:07two, inspired by the nineteen ninety one movie the same name. This particular
- 49:13machine is also pre owned and has a gouge in the left side that the
- 49:16owner claims was there when they bought it, but is otherwise in excellent condition.
- 49:22And this listing can be yours if the cost is correct. I am
- 49:28going to start the bidding at five thousand dollars and you may bid in one
- 49:34hundred dollars increments starting with Augie seven thousand, one hundred, seven one hundred,
- 49:47says Augie ninety one. Huh No, I thought he said seven.
- 49:55I'm thinking a year ninety one. Sorry, here's the game, oh the
- 49:59year I was saying. The amount you say you said ninety one numbers,
- 50:07I'm gonna say it's gonna be more than that, just because of how iconic
- 50:09the game is too. I'm gonna say it's closer to like twelve thousand dollars.
- 50:15Twelve thousand, yeah, alright, see, I'll talk them about pinball
- 50:21machines. Fourteen thousand, two hundred, Stevie, is it really that high?
- 50:37I guess so. Shit, sixteen thousand dollars, sixteen thousand, yeah,
- 50:46sixteen thousand, says Stevie, and I will now call for final bids.
- 50:51Yes, seventeen thousand, eight hundred. Seventeen thousand, eight hundred,
- 51:04and Stevie, he went to high Sun, A freeze, A freeze,
- 51:08a freezing alright, colden hair alright, So Stevie has been sixteen thousand,
- 51:16even Augie has been seventeen thousand, eight hundred. The actual retail listing price
- 51:24of this item on eBay is seventeen thousand dollars, which means Stevie wins his
- 51:37third item. Man, he has won the game. Game that was tough.
- 51:44Yeah, seventeen thousand. Even when you started with seventeen, I was
- 51:46like, ope, s up there, stuff knows Nope, it is seventeen
- 51:52thousand, even just for funzies. Do you want to try your hand at
- 51:57the last item, because it's not likely to come up in any other as
- 52:00well. Let's do it all right, obviously, these are all items that
- 52:02you could find at MAGFest, and this last one is no exception. Our
- 52:07final item up for bids is this rare video gameme Steel Battalion came out for
- 52:12the Xbox in two thousand and two and came with a huge three part controller
- 52:16with joysticks, buttons and toggle switches, and it also came with a set
- 52:21of foot pedals and all of this could only be used to play this one
- 52:24game. Yeah. This, this particular listing is for a brand new,
- 52:30factory sealed copy with Capcom branded tape still intact, and it goes to whoever
- 52:36it BID's closest to the sale price on eBay dot com without going over.
- 52:39And we will start with h We'll start with Aggie again because he lost Get
- 52:44again. Yeay. The starting bid is five hundred and you can bid in
- 52:50dollar increments. AUGI, what do you want to what do you want to
- 52:52try? Four thousand, two hundred, four thousand, two hundred, says
- 52:59Augy. Your reminder on your first bid. You can bid lower than that
- 53:01if you wish awesome. I think I'm going to because I believe it's closer
- 53:07to like twenty three ten give or two three hundred and ten A right?
- 53:14OGI, would you like to overbid yourself for freeze? I would like to
- 53:20overbid myself. I am I am calling final bid, but I would not
- 53:22like to overbid myself. S give? What do you think? I'm good?
- 53:30The context matters. Yeah, a single bid is all you needed.
- 53:34The actual retail price of this sealed copy of this game is two tho,
- 53:38nine hundred ninety nine dollars. Yeah, three grand for this rare video.
- 53:45I mean I get it. Asking for four grind, isn't that far?
- 53:49It was? It was two hundred when it came out. Wish I'd bought
- 53:52it then, right? Holy? In any event, so that game very
- 53:57clearly goes to Stevie. He's rocking it hard. Fu Stevie gets two more
- 54:01points bring him up to three. But Augie can still catch up. He
- 54:06can tie this game by winning game three. Game three will be played after
- 54:08this break. It is worth three points. We're gonna play it right after
- 54:13this. Hey you there, We've got a question for you. Are you
- 54:25tired of clickbait stories and the loudest voices driving discussions and culture and entertainment.

- 55:04value a relaxed and conversational podcast, one that we hope is so fun and
- 55:08laid back you'll forget you're not actually hanging out with us. So search at
- 55:14From the Midpod just like it sounds, or check us out everywhere you can
- 55:17find podcasts. Hey man, welcome back. It's time for game three.
- 55:36The dumpster Fire o Yah five category is the ex player just has to tell
- 55:40me something irritating about something within that category, and I'll pick the one that
- 55:45irritates me. The most throw it in the dumpster fire. First player to
- 55:51have three of their choices thrown in the fire wins the game and earns three
- 55:54episode points. So, Augie, we are going to start with you as
- 56:00you are currently behind UH and you you are given the category of conventions.
- 56:06What about conventions would you like to throw into the dumpster fire? I'd like
- 56:13to throw poor choice of locations for conventions and a dumpster fire. The reason
- 56:22being is sometimes the places they hotel in our hometown, well, no,
- 56:28not necessari I'm talking like anything in particular. I'm talking like, you know,
- 56:37like it's great, it's great to have like a grand hotel, but
- 56:39when you got no seating area but the floor, you know, that's kind
- 56:45of what I'm getting at here, like places where you poorly choose like doesn't
- 56:47have a good seating area, or the halls are too narrow or small,
- 56:53or maybe they're too big so it gets too echoey, or maybe the electronics
- 56:59are aren't the best so that way it's not you know, the presentations aren't
- 57:02greatest, you know, basically, like the location like not providing i should
- 57:08say, like the proper amenities for convention. So poor location choices for amenities
- 57:15so poor, a poor placement for the low for the convention. So that's
- 57:22that sounds irritating to me, Stevie, can you beat it? That's a
- 57:27very difficult one because that encompasses so much and I understand and completely agree with
- 57:32you, and and it's hard. So what I might have to go with
- 57:37is probably and a lot of people don't know this though, that's what's going
- 57:43to be a bit harder. But the political aspect of conventions. We've worked
- 57:46at and been to a ton of conventions through in our lives and to see
- 57:52how something that started out so immense and great and there was really no issues,
- 57:58and then see how things can turn around like behind the scenes and then
- 58:01all of a sudden things start deteriorating. I'm not saying which conventions they are,
- 58:06because that would be fucked up because I'm not calling people out, but
- 58:08I'm saying the political crap behind them, which ultimately starts destroying and pulling the
- 58:14conventions apart. I think that's that's a big thing, and it has to
- 58:16do a lot of people being greedy or not doing what they should have been
- 58:20doing from the beginning type of thing. Yeah. Interesting, Yeah, because
- 58:23I miss going to those, and I would so go back to a lot
- 58:25of them if they were ran the way they used to be, you know,
- 58:30and that's what it is. I don't go anymore. Well, no,
- 58:34that's fair. So I think that on this occasion you both you both
- 58:39missed an easy open goal here people, because I would have instantly gone with
- 58:45anyone who picked con crud. Oh you know when you get coming home from
- 58:52Yeah, I did think about that. Concrude is the worst. You always
- 58:58come home from a convention sick, almost always, like no matter because of
- 59:02the masses of humanity all in one place, you know, so it's easier
- 59:07to spread and all that ship. And it's a good way to inoculate yourself.
- 59:10But yeah, it's also a good way to die in the long run.
- 59:16I guess it does strengthen your immune system. But I mean, on
- 59:19the other hand, you're like, come on, man, it's it's annoying
- 59:24to get sick after every con So that would have been my instant win if
- 59:29you either you would pick that. As it is, Yeah, the political
- 59:34machinations behind the scenes suck, but I genuinely think a bad location is worse.
- 59:40Yeah, if it's if it's just not enjoyable from the get go,
- 59:45then the political machinations don't matter. So I'm gonna go with Augie on this
- 59:50one and crossing poor, poor location for a convention into the domstry fire.
- 59:58Start picking better. Look, look, man, I'm getting older, so
- 1:00:01I can't be walking around and then sitting on the floor like a baby of
- 1:00:08the group. Man Like, that's tell me about it. It's not good,
- 1:00:15all right, So let's move on to our second category. Stevie,
- 1:00:16you're gonna go the first this time awesome, And the category is technology.
- 1:00:21What about technology would you like to throw into a dumpster fire? Oh my
- 1:00:24god, Oh there's no technology. I love and hate you so fucking much.
- 1:00:34I mean, seriously, how about the fact that none of our technology
- 1:00:37nowadays is really built the last. Everything that that not, just like America,
- 1:00:43everywhere, China, Japantla, everywhere everywhere that makes any form of technology,
- 1:00:46the technology is meant purposely not to last anymore. And it's so you
- 1:00:52you know, oh, this one's out a date, can't use it,
- 1:00:54or this thing the battery dies stupid quick. Where back in the day batteries
- 1:00:59glass stupid long and still have that same amount of it. It's not really
- 1:01:02taking this much juice like shit like that, or they make these things stupid
- 1:01:07purposely breakable, or you always have to be upgrading your PC because now this
- 1:01:14thing's overheating and shit. Like, back in the day, you could build
- 1:01:16something like yourself from anything and it would last you fucking forever. You could
- 1:01:23go to a store and buy something and the shit would last fucking forever.
- 1:01:27Our toys, Our toys lasted forever. But nowadays technology is all about money.
- 1:01:32It's not about what we can do to help anybody. Really, it's
- 1:01:36like, what can we do to make money faster? Oh, we can
- 1:01:37make something neat, but make it so it's disposable, so that shit,
- 1:01:42it irritates the fuck out of me. That's that's fair, I guess OGI.
- 1:01:47So what about technology would you like to throw into a dumpster fire?
- 1:01:52So, just to be clear, your your dumpster fire was like things that
- 1:01:58are not they're not durable or planned obsolescence, yes, very okay, and
- 1:02:06easily like okay, instantly replaceable by buying a new one. Yet again,
- 1:02:09okay, I just wanted to make sure I accidentally say the same thing.
- 1:02:15What I would throw into the dumpster fire is how how integrated technology is with
- 1:02:25us now that we've become so reliant on it, Like it's just how way
- 1:02:34things are, you could you could argue, it's just how basically how our
- 1:02:38human evolution is continuing on at this point is through what we artificially create it
- 1:02:45to be. But it has become such a mainstay, it has become such
- 1:02:50an important piece that almost to live without it seems impossible, though you certainly
- 1:02:58could, but like there's just so much at risk of not having a micro
- 1:03:02computer in your pocket, not just a micro computer, but a phone that
- 1:03:07you can use to call emergencies or a place to store info, or to
- 1:03:14get to pay for things and stuff like that. But if it's gone,
- 1:03:17it's gone, and everything is gone, and that it's it's become so integrated
- 1:03:23with our lives that just we not enough people think about, like what would
- 1:03:29happen if it just disappeared? Like what would you do? What would you
- 1:03:34do? Because now access to your bank accounts are gone, access to information
- 1:03:39outside contacts, contacts with people that are hundreds of miles away may not seem
- 1:03:45like a lot until you can't get a hold of them anymore, you know.
- 1:03:51So it's it's kind of my in the dumpster fire slash rant is integration
- 1:03:58of technology. How integrated with technology? We are rock on dude. Fuck
- 1:04:04yeah. So this is kind of an easy pick for me. If I
- 1:04:11had to pick one thing about technology that I would throw it in the dust
- 1:04:14fire out of any possible options, it would probably be the incredibly like increased
- 1:04:20complexity of said technology to the point where we don't have like it people anymore.
- 1:04:30We have levels of it people. Yes, yes, like everything is
- 1:04:34segmented and did you know, Like this is something I learned just the other
- 1:04:38day, there are seven thousand cybersecurity companies in the world. Think about that.
- 1:04:46That is a metric fucked tona of cybersecurity. Like the market is glutted
- 1:04:55with like these cybersecurity companies and there really isn't enough business for them to go
- 1:05:00around, but the field just exploded. So now we have this extra level
- 1:05:04of you know it T person, the cybersecurity guy you know so, And
- 1:05:10it keeps getting worse and worse, to the point where like it's going to
- 1:05:15be impossible as a business to have a single I T guy cover all of
- 1:05:20your needs, Like you need you need people from like an ever expanding list
- 1:05:26of disciplines for sure, to specialized over the complexity is nearing like a I
- 1:05:34don't know what you call it, like a like a horizon of sorts,
- 1:05:41a singularity, I guess I would call it. But anyway, what I
- 1:05:45think doesn't matter. I have to pick between the two of you. Guys,
- 1:05:47gave me two. I actually don't mind the integration of technology. To
- 1:05:53be honest, I like, I like a lot of the things that the
- 1:05:56integration of technology has given us. Granted, not all of them have resulted
- 1:06:02in great things like social media is quite literally boring humanity. But I mean,
- 1:06:09for all of the things that I enjoy, technology has made it so
- 1:06:12much easier to enjoy them, like ridiculous that I can bring Skyrim into my
- 1:06:17bathroom with me, you know what I mean. And so I don't mind
- 1:06:21the integration technology all that much for the bonuses that it brings. So I'm
- 1:06:26going to have to go pretty much by default with Stevie's default, because it
- 1:06:30does suck having to replace your phone every five years. It just goes,
- 1:06:35and not just your phone, like all sorts of things you have to replace,
- 1:06:39like within a few years, because it's not built to last twenty plus
- 1:06:44odds so many years anymore, because it's more profitable to have you replace it
- 1:06:48than fix it. So fucked up. Here's the corporate healthcape we live in.
- 1:06:53So one point for each of you. Let's move on to a third
- 1:06:55item. Now we've covered this in the dumpster fire before, but I figured
- 1:06:58with our recent experience, you might have a different answer. Now, Okay,
- 1:07:01so we're going to go with the category of road trips, and this
- 1:07:04time you will go first. What about road trips? Would you like to
- 1:07:08throw into a dumpster fire? I don't know about you, guys, but
- 1:07:11I felt like, especially in our last road trip, there was like a
- 1:07:15very lack of rest stops with like bathrooms, like on the highways, Like,
- 1:07:20yeah, on the highways and stuff like I've noticed that, like there
- 1:07:23was like maybe one maybe two that actually saw actually you can only stopped at
- 1:07:27the one because we got off at exits instead. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:30I don't know, like maybe it was just that particular one, but
- 1:07:34I feel like it could be because we didn't take freeways and maybe we stayed
- 1:07:40off of toll roads. Yeah, I don't know. I we drank a
- 1:07:44lot of liquid on the way there, and it just it was definitely.
- 1:07:47It was definitely toilet time man. But yeah, I would say dumpster fire
- 1:07:55road trips again, lack of amenities, entities on the trip, Yeah,
- 1:08:01why not. I'm done with that, Stevie. Can you beat that?
- 1:08:04Probably not, because that's a really good one world problems, am I right?
- 1:08:10I'm trying to think like our trip, Like I drove for the trip,
- 1:08:14and I had an amazing job like time the whole time, like I
- 1:08:19yeah, nothing went wrong, like there was nothing. It like the only
- 1:08:24thing that had to say. Okay, you know what, No, there
- 1:08:26is something that bothers me. You know, those fucking teslas. Yeah,
- 1:08:32okay, can we talk about the Tesla's first second conversation? No, no,
- 1:08:35no, I'm joking. It's not the vehicles. It's the drivers.
- 1:08:40There's on road trips, especially when you're used to driving a lot of road
- 1:08:45trips and going a little quicker than the rest of everybody else, you always
- 1:08:48tend to find some people who I don't know, always seem to like get
- 1:08:53in the way at inopportune times or seem like they're gonna be like all right,
- 1:08:57cool, yeah we'll cruise at this level for a while. This would
- 1:08:59be great, and then get in front of you and then go back ten
- 1:09:01miles like below. So I gonna have to say, other motherfucking drivers road
- 1:09:06trips, that's the only thing. So Sunday drivers like I can't think of
- 1:09:11anything that that whole trip was awesome. There was nothing explain about except for
- 1:09:15like those few times I get aggravated because other people like that was it?
- 1:09:18Like other people suck And if they all stayed in the fucking right lane,
- 1:09:23like god damn, like that would, oh my god, would be a
- 1:09:25problem. Like seriously, I completely understand your point of view, but I
- 1:09:32am going to go with AUGI on this one because I found I found the
- 1:09:38the lack of options for like and several times we were like can we turn
- 1:09:42off here? And we just genuinely didn't know. Yeah, signage did.
- 1:09:45Sometimes there would just be nothing exit. This exit leads to nowhere, like
- 1:09:51would need this exit? Then it's for the people those doesn't suspecting people who
- 1:09:57pull off the road and next thing you know, yeah flat tired and you
- 1:09:59hear I have to wonder, just like just tied to the infrastructure. Maybe
- 1:10:05they just didn't replace the signs got taken down. Who knows? It is
- 1:10:12two points to Augie, so he just needs one more to tie the whole
- 1:10:15episode up. Stevee needs this one to to claw it back. So let's
- 1:10:20go to category number four, which I don't think we've done this one before.
- 1:10:26Friendship. Stevie, what about friendship? Would you throw into a dumpster
- 1:10:30fire? That's difficult? Hmmm hmmm, I will, I will, I
- 1:10:40will reveal ahead of time there is an instant win for this. Here's what
- 1:10:44I'm thinking, and I think we can all actually agree with this. This
- 1:10:45might actually be it, I really do. I think it's the fact that,
- 1:10:50especially now with the pandemic and everything else, post and whatnot, Like
- 1:10:56it starts like it's hard enough to get together with your friends, like when
- 1:10:59you're an adult, when everybody has their own lives and work and families and
- 1:11:01shit, it's fucking pin nasties to get together to do that shit, right,
- 1:11:05But then you had all this hard crap with COVID and then post COVID,
- 1:11:09and then everybody just doesn't want to do anything anymore like together. Like
- 1:11:13the one thing I'd like to throw into a dumpster fire about friendship is the
- 1:11:15fact that we don't get together like all of us like we used to it
- 1:11:21used to be like fucking tight all the time. We'd sit around play card
- 1:11:28play board games, just bullshit all hours of the night as much as we
- 1:11:31could, or we'd go for walks or something, or just go hang out,
- 1:11:34like there's no way to hang either. And that's half the other problem.
- 1:11:38But it's it's I think that that'd be the worst part about it is
- 1:11:41I I have friends and so like everywhere, and I don't fucking see ninety
- 1:11:46percent of them anymore. Like there's a small group that we, like I
- 1:11:50see on the rag and that's about it. Like that. That's probably the
- 1:11:56thing I would do is throw that in there, the fact that so interestingly,
- 1:12:00that's not really a problem with friendship, that is a problem with being
- 1:12:03an adult. Yeah, freaking adults. So I guess we to work around
- 1:12:09that. We would call it not unrequited friendship, but just unfulfilled friendship,
- 1:12:16Like like you you want more but just can't get it. We all want
- 1:12:19more, right, Like we all just want to get together and rub on
- 1:12:23each other, Like yeah, specific friendship, that friction, you know,
- 1:12:30Yeah A thousand don't want to paying you, Steve, stop asking, I
- 1:12:38gotta I gotta talk to you about board games. I got Stevie seriously hooked
- 1:12:41on. I'm taking I'm taking full advantage of this. Do it because I'm
- 1:12:45down absolutely, Oh my god, all you almost got me to buy an
- 1:12:48arts that's like sell you yesterday, and I'm like, I have it,
- 1:12:54I have it. I have it too. It's on sale right now like
- 1:12:58seven bucks with all the deal see you or something? All right, all
- 1:13:00right, all right, getting off to so unfulfilled friendship? Is steven friendship
- 1:13:06wanting to wanting to spend more time with and not being able to Augie,
- 1:13:11what is what? What about friendship would you throw into a dumpster fire?
- 1:13:15I think it's the lack of amenities nobody let no, uh Like, It's
- 1:13:28not really something that comes up very often because I think it's just kind of
- 1:13:32an unsaid thing most of the time, especially if it's a true friendship.
- 1:13:36But the idea that you have to be constantly in contact and not still be
- 1:13:42friends, Like I am the worst person to be in contact with because I
- 1:13:46will never contact you. I will never reach out to you. But if
- 1:13:50you reach out to me, I will respond, but I will never reach
- 1:13:55out to you. I'm just like that. I'm an introvert. I'm bad
- 1:13:58like that, But I have friends that are like that as well. And
- 1:14:02there are sometimes years that we don't talk to each other and then suddenly we
- 1:14:08get back a hold of each other for some reason, another something came up,
- 1:14:11we thought of each each other, or stumbled into each other or whatever,
- 1:14:14and it's like never missed a beat. And that's the kind of friend
- 1:14:17I am. But I in a dumpster fire, I would throw out that
- 1:14:21you should not need to be in contact with each other all the time,
- 1:14:26that if you are friends, you will always be friends. You will recognize
- 1:14:30each other, you will always it'll be like it never missed anything. So
- 1:14:35you're kind of saying, like social requirements, Yeah, there should not be
- 1:14:41social requirements to be a friend. You don't you don't have to socialize to
- 1:14:45be a friend. Yeah. I think I agree with you up to your
- 1:14:49point, because I have I definitely have friendships where I haven't spoken to them
- 1:14:55in years, but I know if I run into them into the street,
- 1:14:59we're gonna pick up right where we left off. Broom, Like, yeah,
- 1:15:03Room is excellent. Like I don't see that guy like decades at a
- 1:15:08time, but like we're in an area together, he'll drive cross country to
- 1:15:11like hang out guys in the military with like just come and pick me up
- 1:15:15at the airport at my first duty station, and no matter if we're somewhere
- 1:15:18close, we'll go meet each other. Man. It's like that's like every
- 1:15:21ten years. Okay, So neither of you found my which I I just
- 1:15:28would have been surprised if you had. But the thing I I would throw
- 1:15:30a dumps tire about friendship is how much harder it gets as you get older
- 1:15:35to make friends, not just maintain friendships, but to make new ones.
- 1:15:41Okay, Like I can tell you, like my newest and youngest friends are
- 1:15:48the Ultra Hope girls and the other people in their discord, and it is
- 1:15:54it is still astonishing to me that we are actual friends, that Caroline and
- 1:16:00I actually text each other because I'm forty three, she's almost twenty years younger
- 1:16:05than he, if not exactly twenty years ago, I don't know her,
- 1:16:09which I haven't asked, but she is much much younger. So that is
- 1:16:14a friendship that should have been weird and awkward and not happened. And like
- 1:16:18if I tried to make friends with even trying to make friends with people my
- 1:16:24own age, it is hard enough, but I mean making friends with people
- 1:16:28as a forty three year old, it just it, it's just much much
- 1:16:30harder now. Like even even at MAGFest, a place where we all shared
- 1:16:34a very obvious, a very obvious you know, love of games and music
- 1:16:41in common, I didn't make any friends. I barely talk to anyone I
- 1:16:45didn't know, you know, And and that sucks, man, Like,
- 1:16:49why is it so hard? So I would instantly throw that into the numbs
- 1:16:54fire either of you picked that felfilled friendship is, oh, it is unfulfilled
- 1:17:01friendship is Yeah, that that stinks because because I always want more, Like
- 1:17:06if if I could be in your presence like every day, I would like
- 1:17:12that in an instant without even thinking. I just like, I'm just gonna
- 1:17:17drive over to your house every day after work and hang until eleven, then
- 1:17:20go home and sleep. That you guys would be sick of me after a
- 1:17:25while. So our area is too small for if we had the proper area,
- 1:17:30the reasons why I can't so uh, yeah, it does suck,
- 1:17:36but I genuinely think like like, like Augie was saying, like the social
- 1:17:43requirements to keep up friendships, that the friendships that required that cost energy to
- 1:17:48maintain are the worst. I genuinely, I genuinely hate when I have a
- 1:17:56friendship who like it just is I have to constantly maintain contact with or else
- 1:18:02we will disappear, right, Uh, And that sucks. And that's that's
- 1:18:06happened a few times, like that little thing that if you don't feed it,
- 1:18:11it'll die, even even in recent memory, even in recent memory,
- 1:18:15like like one of our I won't say who, but like I I've I've
- 1:18:18kind of dropped off from uh, one of our mutual podcast friends. I
- 1:18:25haven't really talked to lately, and I've been thinking lately I should contact them
- 1:18:29because we used to talk all the time. But the fact that we haven't
- 1:18:33means I have to now spend energy to go try and get that friendship back
- 1:18:38ord to maintain it. And I am I'm worried about that, which causes
- 1:18:42me stress and YadA, YadA, YadA and so on and so forth.
- 1:18:45So yes, I am picking Augie's option of social fire. Augy is our
- 1:18:51reader for this game. Now. That means we have a tie. He
- 1:18:56has three points. We're equals. Yeah, he has three points. That
- 1:18:59sucks because I had something for the wildcard too. I was hoping that you
- 1:19:01get to carry. Here's the thing, we're going to break the tie by
- 1:19:05playing the wild card. I wanted to have a tie ship. So whichever
- 1:19:11of you successfully win the wild card category always the last category in the dumpster
- 1:19:15fire is wild card anything. You can pick anything and throw it in the
- 1:19:20dumpster fire. Now, I will say, if it's something you've already done
- 1:19:26or said in any of the dumpster fires, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna
- 1:19:30give you the point because that's that's that's way too easy. Something you already
- 1:19:33know I hate, like the current American healthcare system. We're discussed to death
- 1:19:38on this show. So no, you can't do that. You have to
- 1:19:41do something new. So o man Ogi won that last game. So Stevee,
- 1:19:45you have the choice. Do you want to go first or second on
- 1:19:47this one? What would you choose? You'll never guess what else? You
- 1:19:54I know, go first, all you here, anything you want, anything
- 1:20:00that irritates you at all. What irritates me the most, Aaron, What
- 1:20:05I want to throw so desperately into a dumpster fire is the first part of
- 1:20:12this episode. Because I was u fucking funny as I was so tired I
- 1:20:19don't know what the fuck happened. I couldn't think of it. Ship I
- 1:20:26dropped the ball. I want I want that goll and I want that burned
- 1:20:30and gone. Wow okay, wow, man, that's that's a unique that's
- 1:20:36a unique thing to big sure. But I under the game. So Stevie,
- 1:20:43you're gonna have to come up with something pretty good here. I don't
- 1:20:45know if I'm going. I was like, Oh, he's gonna throw this
- 1:20:46away, this will be easy. Nope, God damn you and your stupid
- 1:20:50intelligence. Yeah, I get you, and you're stupidgence she's just stacked on
- 1:21:02diy stre like for real. Oh and I like to throw the dumptionter fire
- 1:21:10out of anything. I wanted to keep it mag fast related, but Aggie
- 1:21:14went off a little bit so and I don't want to go political. Let's
- 1:21:16see, right right, enough of that lately, you know what you want?
- 1:21:20I want to throw in the dumpster fire. And it just happened today,
- 1:21:24man, And it kind of irritates me a little bit, not like
- 1:21:27a lot, because I ain't gonna call them out and stuff too much,
- 1:21:29Like just a little here. I gotta say their names and stuff. But
- 1:21:31like when you get back from a trip, you quarantine for fucking ever and
- 1:21:38then you're like, all right, yo, I can finally go get some
- 1:21:40herb, right, sweet, You go to get your herb and almost everything
- 1:21:45is gone, and you gotta like pick between like yeah, there's a couple
- 1:21:48of top shelf buds and shit, and then some okay vapes and some edibles
- 1:21:54and you just have to go down the air road. I hate that shit.
- 1:21:58That's not fair. When you get after you recover from being this is
- 1:22:01what I'm throwing in a dumpster, sire, after you recover from being sick
- 1:22:05and you just want to go about your regular normal day again, and you
- 1:22:09can't because of some dumb ship. Like today they didn't get their ship inside
- 1:22:14TB. Normal dealer can't supply the demands. So now he's upset because now
- 1:22:21there's an economy that I know it's part of. They waited all week for
- 1:22:29weed and they're no weed enough. I will, I will agree on the
- 1:22:33face of it, like that sucks like anything you know, like, and
- 1:22:41it doesn't just apply to being sick. Like if I go to work for
- 1:22:44five days and then I'm like when I get out of work that last day,
- 1:22:47I'm like I just want to go home and play games and relax.
- 1:22:53You get home and for whatever dumb reason, you can't, like yeah,
- 1:22:58hours out or you're troller stops working, or like something else in your computer
- 1:23:02breaks, and you're just like, motherfucker, I just wanted to play some
- 1:23:06damn gigs, you know. So I get that. I completely understand.
- 1:23:10Like when you're looking forward to something after a long time and you still can't
- 1:23:14have it even though you should. Yeah, you just want to hit like
- 1:23:21you're being punished and you don't know why. Yeah, exactly what did I
- 1:23:26do? But I am giving this game to Augie because he's absolutely right that
- 1:23:31first part was garbage. The first part of this episode. I don't think
- 1:23:35we we did badly. I think i'm i'm I'd be pretty happy with that
- 1:23:40first part of the episode. However, it is also the only part of
- 1:23:43the episode that has nothing to do with MAGFest at all. It's just Broken
- 1:23:45Headlines, which was which is funny. It is a funny game, and
- 1:23:49I do enjoy playing it, but like it. It doesn't fit with the
- 1:23:53rest of the episode because we did mag best stuff for all the other things.
- 1:23:56So the first time, he's absolutely right, Yeah should first part.
- 1:24:00Yeah, that first class, first part of this episode. Yeah, exactly,
- 1:24:06part one, first part of this very episode. I'll edit the whole
- 1:24:11thing. Okay, no, no, you gotta context, the context.
- 1:24:16Have to erase the first part from their memory. Yeah, you gotta remember
- 1:24:20the first part and say, fun that first part. Listening at home?
- 1:24:26Listening home, do this with me. Raise up your hand, curl back
- 1:24:30your thumb, your pointer finger, your ring finger, and your pinky,
- 1:24:34leaving your middle finger exposed, and point it directly at whatever object is playing
- 1:24:41our podcast currently and sat and repeat after me. Fuck you, first part
- 1:24:46of episode two oh two, No where to Go? It's a way to
- 1:24:59go? Is looking a little suspicious? Can I change my answer? I
