it's never a dull moment. Right now, I'm on this new journey where

her where I am a part of five women and we're called the crew,

I wear many hats. The one that who that I wear that I

am passionate about is being the Queen of collaborations. I truly believe in bringing

people together and helping put people to their purpose because I believe that we all

have a purpose and I take pride in that. That's something that I'm passionate

about. So being a queen out collaborations, I thank God for that person

that spoke that over my life. It's been now I'm on five years.

Well yeah, you've been doing it for five years. I'll never forget that

phone call we had and I think it was like right before COVID or during

COVID in February, and we talked for hours and hours and you were like,

I want you to do book reviews and I'm like, well hold up,

but you know what, you brought me out of my own comfort zone

and helped me to embark where I am right now, and I truly thank

you for that. So I know you got some project's going on, and

I know week next weekend we're celebrating something big. So how about you tell

us what's going on next weekend. So next weekend, in my eighth birthday,

not only is it my forty eighth birthday, I will be dropping book

number fifty eight I am. I'll be hosting a poetry showcase. So yeah,

I have my hands in a lot because I truly believe in bringing awareness

to things that I'm passionate about, and being able to give few people a

outlet to share their voice is definitely what I'm passionate about right now because I

am the change that I desire to see in this world, and I want

to give other people that opportunity too. So that's what we're doing for my

birthday. We're gonna be celebrating some amazing poets. We're gonna be celebrating those

that co author this anthology with me, And yeah, that's what we're doing.

So I know we have a lot of people that's gonna be in I'm

gonna be hanging out, not gonna be one of the main speakers, but

you know, I have to support her because she supports me. But can

gonna be there so we have. As far as the poetry Showcase, We're

gonna have Lisa Hopkins, who is our new Poetouis of the Year for twenty

Moore, who was our second winner up and we have Lashaya Rukham who came

in third place. They're gonna be a part of the showcase. There's a

poetous that's going to be a part of the showcase. Our poetry edition of

Aspiring Authors magazine. It actually dropped early. It dropped two days ago because

I truly wanted to allow this this magazine to be in their hands and hopefully

before we keeped off that showcase, so people could have an opportunity to flip

through those pages and kind of get to know them ahead of time. So

I'm waiting for Minds to come in the mail. I've ordered it, and

I'm just excited and being able to be that platform and being able to be

an outlet where people can share their writings and share those things that they are

passionate about. I am also in the works of doing a mental health awareness

poetry collaboration. I have five people that's signed up to be a part of

this. April is, of course, National Poetry Awareness Month, and May

is Mental Health Awareness Month, so I decided that I'm gonna try to mix

the two together. The book is gonna drop on April the thirtieth, so

we're gonna be ending Poetry Awareness Month and going into Mental Health Awareness Month.

So I think April the thirtieth will be great. And it's also my dad's

birthday, so I'm doing this in honor of my dad, who passed away

two years ago. Well, first of all, I'm gonna be the first

one to say happy birthday, so it's on that, ain't me. I'm

the first one. I told her Happy Birthday. And I am so excited

for this weekend. I'm going to be on there with you guys Saturday and

now Sunday. I got the little Girl, but you're not gonna have my

break, and then we're gonna come back and we're gonna talk about the days

no joke because I remember sitting up there on the phone crying plenty of times

with her, but she has been such a comfort and in part of the

words that I need to dust myself up and to keep going. So we're

Prayer. Now, I'm gonna tell y'all a little bit about it first,

Okay. Now, in the mornings, I have to get up an eight

year old who is not an a in person, but you know what,

she goes live on Facebook and she has this prayer mind that you can call

into. So while I'm fixing my daughter's breakfast, I have this going so

I am able to feed my spirit and make sure my daughter gets fed at

the same time. So tell us what brought about this one hundred and twenty
9:16
one Days of Prayer when it started. This is actually our third year into

the one hundred and twenty one Days of Prayer. I have to give a

shot out to Arthur, Pamela, J. Hayes, and Janeer your own

because of their dedication and their commitment to be a part of this with me.

I dropped in my free words. It was learn Love, and it

came from people that I was from others and came out of three l's that
9:52
stood out. The title of the book was called Soulful Metamorphois, and those

those three l's just stood out. It's just like they just stood out to
10:03
me. And God began to deal with me with those three l's, and
10:07
he broke down the word learn love and lead, and he kept pulling at
10:13
me to include other people and not just myself. So I was searching around
10:18
trying to find people to be a part of this project. Didn't know what
10:22
it was gonna end up being. I just thought it was gonna be a
10:26
book, and we was gonna write a book, and it was just be
10:28
that. But He kept dealing with me. He kept waking me up at
10:31
three am, and he said prayer. So I originally asked some other individuals
10:39
to go into prayer, people that I just thought was religious, and you
10:43
know, I thought they would be great to go into prayer. You know,
10:48
that's not what he wanted. He wanted me to take regular, ordinary
10:52
people that did not have titles, that did not walk in offices, to
10:56
be a part of this prayer, this prayer line. So I reached out

to It was a she was a prophetess. At first. I reached out
11:05
to her, and she started the prayer line with us, and she eventually
11:11
she invited a lot of people, and eventually she dropped off. So I
11:15
reached out to Shaniia. It was halfway through. I reached out to Shania,

and Shania came on and she said. The first thing she said to
11:26
me was I'm not She said, I really don't know how to pray.

And I told her, I said, well, baby, I say join

the crowd. I say, because I'm not, I say, I just
11:33
pray what he lay on my heart. But I can tell you, over

these last three years, I has truly did a thing within all three of
11:43
us. I chose Shanaria because she was willing to learn, and she was
11:46
to learn L. Pam was the love L because Pam has been a epitiment,

an example, a living example of that unconditional love because she people have

done things to her, they have back byed they did stuff to her,
12:07
and she still has showed unconditional love. And of course I was to lead,

and he kept revealing to me that in order for me to be a
12:18
great leader, that I had to be able to operate in all of them

and sufficient and effectedly in all areas. So I had to get to a
12:28
point because some of us we get to a place in our life where we
12:33
think we know everything and that can't nobody teach us nothing. But he reminded
12:39
me that we are always learning. We always have to be students, were
12:43
always learning something because this world, whether we get to PhD, doctor's degree,
12:50
expert in, this expert in that this one is forever been and in
12:54
wandered. For us to grow and to go to the next level, we
12:58
have to be willing to learn and and and to grow. So he he

showed me all of that, and even me, you know, I thought
13:09
that I was at a place where I was good and that I was being
13:13
good to people and nice to people, and that I was just content with
13:16
my little self, and then He would bring people in my life and people
13:20
would correct me. And the old Angela wouldn't have took the correction the way
13:26
that I did. But the Angela that God was dealing with and and evolving,
13:31
you know, I was able to take these these corrections and and take
13:37
these things and and and and deal with them really gross that writes for us
13:41
from the Virgin Islands, that writes for the magazine from the Virgin Islands.

She's one of the people that put me in my place. And I say
13:48
put me in my place because she called me and I said something to her,
13:56
and to me, I thought that I was in order, but I
13:58
was out of order, and she corrected me, and I was able to

take that correction. And she writes for the magazine. Me and her became
14:05
really good friends. She we visited with each other a couple of times when
14:09
I was in Atlanta because she was in Atlanta too. We was gonna sit
14:13
down ate dinner and broke bread with each other. And you know, that's
14:16
where that's just where God has has been able to take me with this one
14:20
hundred and twenty two, I mean one hundred and twenty one days of prayer.

Three years. We were in our third year. We've been able to
14:28
produce these two books out of it. I actually have our last book right.

It was the last book. And at times he has allowed me to
14:39
be to have different individuals. I could hear it was just me and Shineeria
14:45
and after we came out of prayer we did the first book, while you
14:50
one and there was we did all one hundred and twenty one prayers and then
14:56
in sixty five affirmations that was share between sixty four individuals from around the world.

We had people from Africa, we had people from the Virgin Islands,

we had people from the UK, from Germany. We even had someone from
15:09
career, someone from a place called you Guinea, New Guinea that shared affirmations

in that first book. Our oldest, well, I say our young our

youngest contributor was at that time she was ninety six getting ready to turn ninety
15:28
seven, but she contributed I think it was ten affirmations to be a part
15:35
of that, and she contributed again this year. This year we actually had
15:43
twenty one individuals that actually prayed with us, whether they prayed one day or
15:48
they was on the one hundred and twenty one days, they had an opportunity
15:52
to share inside of this anthology their journey and what their journey was like the

power of prayer to them and just how they perceive that. So they had
16:03
an opportunity and we had this year there was I want to say sixty one
16:10
individuals again shared affirmation and let me correct myself. It was one hundred and
16:17
thirty four women the first year that shared affirmations. It was one hundred and
16:22
thirty four women that shared three hundred and sixty five affirmations. And this year
16:26
it was sixty one men and women that shared affirmations inside of the book.

So there were some that did twenty affirmations. They did it twenty twenty days

of transformation or whatever they called it. They they labeled it something and they
16:47
were able to, you know, pour into different people and it was different
16:49
sections. And then now we are currently in prayer. We are day fifty
16:56
three of one hundred and twenty one days of prayer. Of course, at

the end we'll do a book. I don't know where God is leading me

with this book, but we're definitely gonna do another book. And I said

this was gonna be the last year. But every time I say something that's

gonna be the last, he always extended. Because I didn't want to do

it this year. I was gonna say no. But I tell you there's

truly something powerful about prayer, and I tell you God truly moves because if

you if I just look back over my life and just look at some of

the things now I me praying, I did not see myself doing a lot

of the stuff that I'm doing right now. Definitely talk about the country girl

from South Carolina, a little country girl from level Lands, South Carolina,

place that people are never heard of. I'm talking about My street was one
17:48
way in, one way out. And I look at my like I'm getting

ready to drop my fifty eighth book. I am a co owner to a
17:56
podcast that has ten hosts. I own a magazine able to allow individuals to

share their stories, to share things that they're passionate with around the world.

It's not just something that you can just it's just there. But people can

get this magazine all over the world. And I get so sometimes I get

so amazed that you go and you look and you see where you can find

your stuff, and I say, where is New Guinea, Like where,

really, where is New Guinea? Because I had someone to purchase a magazine

from New Guinea. I've had people purchase the magazine from different parts of Germany,

the UK. People follow us from Spain, people follow us from Finland,
18:49
people follow us from the Netherlands and places that I'm like, Okay,
18:53
I didn't know they had people like us. Okay, I remember, but

were you're telling me where you work from South Carolina. I remember going on

my phone and be like, I have never heard of the place in South
19:07
Carolina. And what you have this this energy, this this blessing, this
19:12
this aura about you that you have no choice about to walk in greatness when

you're in you, in your in your presence, in your company. It's
19:19
like you have no choice. And I remember when you came in to me
19:22
about a podcast like a pool a pard what trees don't do people now,

treat doesn't But you trained me. You took me on your way, you

said, okay, and yes we do trains. And she actually sat up

and walked us through the whole thing. You're gonna have questions, She'll walk

you through that. And I remember during the one hundred and twenty one days

of prayer. I was going through something and she would. If you have
19:49
a family member that needs to go into perils, she will call out their
19:52
name every single day. That's some dedication in God that don't come around too
19:59
often. So now were talking about this magazine and me and you are a

part of what inspired you to create Inspiring Author's Magazine. So of course I

am an author, and a lot of the things that I do I created
20:22
it out the need of me not having or me not having that opportunity to
20:30
do that, or having that opportunity to be a part of something, or
20:34
people always leading me the wrong way. So everything that you see me doing
20:38
is because I've asked other people to help me do things and they wouldn't.

So God always opened the door. He would send me to different like I'll
20:48
be on a live, like I came on a live. If people don't
20:52
understand that before twenty twenty, I did no podcasting, I did no lives,

I did no You can go back and you can look at all of

my social media platforms. I was not doing this. I came back to

Facebook in January of twenty twenty after being sick for a while and land in
21:14
Greater Memorial Hospital. I came back to Facebook, and I came back to

Facebook because I came back to apologize to some people because when I was in

the hospital, I had a lot of people scandalizing my name about a book.

It was a suicide awareness book that was supposed to be released, and
21:30
half of the people that was a part of that book didn't even pay to
21:33
be a part of that book, but they were scandalizing my name, and
21:36
I felt like I needed to come on and express that. So there was
21:38
a lady that caught my live. She called me into a messenger and told
21:45
me to not go live again, to apologize to nobody about nothing, that
21:49
I needed to move forward and let it go. Okay, So I did
21:53
just that. I moved forward. I let it go. I went into
21:56
the group and I apologized to this in the group and I said, if
22:00
y'all want to remain a part of this book, the book is gonna come
22:04
forth. And that was the suicide awareness twenty day devotional that dropped. That
22:11
was my first time meeting Milli Gross. She actually caught the live and she
22:15
came in my inbox and she wanted to be a part of it. She
22:19
signed up forward, and we've been attached every sense. There were a lot
22:25
of people that was not a part of that particular book project before all of
22:29
this happened, and I ended up with twenty individuals. So we did a
22:33
twenty day devotional instead of a thirty day devotional, and that really got me
22:38
back to, you know, going forth. I began to go forth and
22:45
not look back at, you know, things that had happened, and looked
22:48
back over my life, because if I had kept looking back, I would
22:51
have been still stuck back there. So I pushed forward and all the things
22:56
that I wanted to do. I began to ask people, and every time
22:59
somebody that would deny me, God would send somebody else to open up that

door. Somebody from Africa helped me. I had a friend that followed me
23:11
on Facebook and her daughter was graduating from college. She just graduated from college
23:18
and she said, my daughter will do it. I said, your daughter
23:22
will do it? She said yeah. I said, well we have to
23:25
ask her. She said no, my daughter will do it. So she
23:29
said send me what you want. I send her what I needed. She
23:37
hooked us up on What's app. She said, my daughter's gonna call you
23:41
and we would manage times to call and for a whole year, for a
23:48
whole year. Wow. She worked that magazine and was showing me different things.

Her computer crashed and she ended up having to step away. But because
23:59
she would showing me along the way, I was able to pick up when

her computer crashed, so she wasn't able to do it anymore. So she

did because everybody else, you know, people kept telling me they would show

me how to do a a just the e book type magazine, the online

magazine. But I didn't want an online magazine. I wanted something that people

could have in their hands, that they can put in their libraries, they
24:32
can put on their coffee tables, that they could actually have look at and
24:37
you know, giveaway as gifts. So I wanted the paper version. So

I just began to look and God directed me to this site work dot com

and I went over there, and not only am I able to do my

magazine there, I'm also able to publish books over there and do a lot

of the things that I'm and everything. God has always had a bush and

a ram for me when they were denied me. He always opened the door

for me because somebody wanted to show me. They wanted to charge me three

hundred dollars to show me how to do journals. Well, one day I

was online and I was watching because I don't normally watch videos, so that

particular day, I was online and I just happened to look at my video

and right after my video, a man came on there and he was showing

how to do journals. He was sending you to the site to download the

inside, the low content information and everything. And immediately after I walked through

it and I did it, I knew somebody else that wanted to do it.

have ten minutes? I say, can you New York computer? I said,

let me show you this. I said, because I just learned how

to do it. And it's nine journals. And she's sitting there and she

and I mean it just this is what I do. You know, I

if I see that you have a little bit of something that you can offer

to this world, I'm gonna push you. Has Akayah is is someone that

I stay on because Hezekia is full of potential, and I've come across so

many people that have potential. But because of people, and people just not

wanting to pour into people. See people get so caught up in themselves and

they forget about they forget about other people. But I'm I'm I'm reminded of

I think it's Philippians far and and and somewhere over there. I'm not a

theologian. I don't know the Bible like that. I just can can speak

on my experiences. But it's in the Bible, and I'm valuable. People

think of your things, and I'm paraphrasing, but think on the things of

others. Okay, So I don't I know where that I go. Anybody

will tell you if I'm ever a part of anybody's platform or anything, you

else? People highlight me in they magazines, They highlight me, and they

they whatever they doing, you better believe I'm sending some more people. And

if everybody remember back when Daphne had her show over in Germany, Daphne asked

me to be a part of her show, and I asked her before we

got off the call, I said, well, do you have room for

some more people? Because you know, I have a lot of authors that

follow my platform and support my platform, and I always like to share.

And she left let me book her show for three to four months. Every

single show I booked for her, all I did was inbox people and tell

them, hey, you want to be on the show, you want to

be in Germany, you want to do this, And that's what I do.

Even this name right now, I just did a and I was joking

with with the crew because a lot of them they got their interview before me,

and I was the one that sent them, And I said, how

But it's just it's just something you do, you know. But anybody open

up the door, leave and paying it for it, because that's what we

are supposed to be for. We're supposed to be helpmates one to another.

and my dream and my desire is that that you will reach back down and

pull somebody else, or you will take somebody along with you by yourself.

I see see people oftentimes, I see so many people, Well, they'll

get to a place where they think they know everything or it's all about them,

and they forget how they got there. One thing my mama taught me,

and this my mama passed twelve days after my sixteenth birthday. But this

is one thing that always resonated with me that she shared as a young child.

She used to tell me, baby, she said, them same people

you pass on your way up. She said, you're gonna pass them on

your way down. And she always told me she said, whatever you do,

give it one hundred percent. She said, I don't care if it's

cleaning the toilet, wiping down, wiping somebody, but whatever you do,

you give it one hundred percent. She said, don't go half step.

She said, you if you can't go one hundred percent, she said,

don't go at all. There you go. And that's what I try to

do. I try to be that. I try to be that example.

You know. One of my saying is we are the change that we desire

to see in this world. I am the change that I want to see

in this world. Because if you knew my journey, so a lot of

people don't truly know my journey, but if you knew my journey, you

will understand why I do what I do. It's not for show. It's

not about money. And anybody that follow my platform, no, is not

about money. Because half of the stuff that people do on my platform,

half of them end up getting it for free. They don't end up they

don't pay nothing. They end up doing it for free because that's the type

of heart that I have. Because my reward is gonna be bigger than what

any man could give me. Okay, So I don't worry about that.
