- 1:04Speaker 4: ultimate to.
- 1:07Speaker 3: June teenth, the pen ultimate. That would be Thursday. Today's
- 1:13Speaker 3: the seventeenth. Okay, Juneteenth is the nineteenth, So the eighteenth,
- 1:18Speaker 3: what is penultimate? I thought it was like the I'm sorry,
- 1:23Speaker 3: pen ultimate penultimate.
- 1:25Speaker 4: I thought, that's like the one before the last.
- 1:28Speaker 5: One, correct, second to next to last, next to last.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Thursday would be like like Christmas Eve?
- 1:34Speaker 1: Okay, right almost there.
- 1:37Speaker 6: I was like the day before the twenty fifth, it.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Was that day off, next to last, yes, next to last, right, okay,
- 1:43Speaker 3: not the very last, the last second, the next to last.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Second to last. Okay.
- 1:47Speaker 6: So you give a show that has ten episodes, the
- 1:51Speaker 6: ninth episode is the penultimate.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Right, yeah, I am right.
- 1:54Speaker 3: No, Today's Wednesday, Wednesday. Okay, Friday is juneteenth.
- 1:59Speaker 6: Yeah, so the eighteenth would be the penultimate day before
- 2:03Speaker 6: the nineteen, which I.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Mean, but I thought that was then that's the day before.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Juneteen, right, which that's exactly what the penultimate is.
- 2:10Speaker 4: It's see see Okay, that's where I was messed up
- 2:14Speaker 4: because the penultimate I thought it was like two before.
- 2:18Speaker 1: That's not just okay, not the one before.
- 2:21Speaker 6: You're confused, it's not before, yeah, one before, all right.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Right, ultimateating the actual thing you're going for? All right,
- 2:29Speaker 3: you want want you to say the one before? Why
- 2:32Speaker 3: you're the one who tried to use it.
- 2:34Speaker 4: We were using well you guys some new stuff and
- 2:37Speaker 4: I'm trying to like figure it out.
- 2:39Speaker 1: All right, how about this menace? There is a word
- 2:41Speaker 1: for that, okay.
- 2:42Speaker 5: It's the anti penultimate anti like anti anti antie.
- 2:47Speaker 6: So it's the one before, the one before penultimate.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Anti penultimate if you're just saying it all okay, I
- 2:52Speaker 5: never heard of that one.
- 2:54Speaker 6: You have like a d anti domino.
- 2:58Speaker 5: At before the prep the Latin prefixs were bare.
- 3:00Speaker 4: So going back to my argument, just say what.
- 3:03Speaker 6: It is, hi, Jeff g how you doing?
- 3:05Speaker 1: How good are you are?
- 3:06Speaker 3: You?

- 3:12Speaker 3: Then the we got tomb As Tyler, Okay, Vaughn's here,
- 3:16Speaker 3: we got Morgan, we got bored, we got Menji phones
- 3:19Speaker 3: are open eight seven, seven forty four. You can set
- 3:21Speaker 3: us a text over two to.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Nine always until tomorrow, now, damn dude.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Yeah, and you could just say the day before.
- 3:29Speaker 6: Yes, that's all your Yeah, there's a lot of things
- 3:31Speaker 6: you could say.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Yeah, So they try to get all fancy around here, Jeff,
- 3:35Speaker 4: you're gonna learn that, and you're gonna have to learn
- 3:37Speaker 4: things about Penn and ultimate again.
- 3:39Speaker 3: You brought it up, so menace today in history. I
- 3:42Speaker 3: know how much you love these things. It was today
- 3:44Speaker 3: in twenty twenty one.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Oh damn, good day.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I guess they're really scraping the bottom of the barrel
- 3:50Speaker 3: for like they got to have something for today in history.
- 3:52Speaker 3: It was President Biden who signed the June teenth National
- 3:56Speaker 3: Independence Day Act into law, making June nineteenth federal holiday.
- 4:00Speaker 3: So there ties into your your Dune teenth question two
- 4:05Speaker 3: days away exactly Wednesday, the nineteenth is on Friday.
- 4:10Speaker 6: Don't get on fancy.
- 4:11Speaker 1: How's Biden these days.
- 4:15Speaker 3: He just did an episode of jay Leno's Garage. Serious, Yeah,
- 4:20Speaker 3: because jay Leno just posted a video from Joe Biden
- 4:24Speaker 3: that's ballsy. Because that was the last thing I was
- 4:27Speaker 3: pretty recording. I thought kind of the same thing. I'm like, man,
- 4:29Speaker 3: I said, I saw that. I go, wow. I hadn't
- 4:31Speaker 3: seen him for a while.
- 4:33Speaker 1: He was just kind of Jimmy Carter.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Is he in the cars?
- 4:36Speaker 6: Joe?
- 4:37Speaker 3: Well, yeah, he keeps files in his trunk.
- 4:39Speaker 6: I think.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Is that wasn't that the story or there was? There
- 4:42Speaker 3: was something about the garage he kept his car and
- 4:45Speaker 3: that's the driving and I think, yeah, I say, I
- 4:48Speaker 3: think that's the car that was in question. No way, yeah, yeah,
- 4:51Speaker 3: I'm not making it up, but that's for sure.
- 4:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Anyway, I'll tell you his Global garbage man day, which
- 4:59Speaker 3: is a job that I wanted as a kid too.
- 5:02Speaker 3: I wanted to drive the garbage trucks that pick the
- 5:04Speaker 3: dumpsters up and like put them over the top, like
- 5:07Speaker 3: the commercial dumpsters I can see behind a like a
- 5:10Speaker 3: convenience store or something, not the little ones that pick
- 5:12Speaker 3: up the garbage. Can you wheel out to your curb.
- 5:13Speaker 6: See, I wanted to be the dude that was hanging
- 5:15Speaker 6: on the back of the truck off dumped it in
- 5:17Speaker 6: jump back on said menace.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Today is National Eat your vegetables Day, National dump the
- 5:25Speaker 3: pump Day, so you know, don't don't get gas, you know,

- 5:38Speaker 6: Really yeah? I like Apple.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I know you like apple free ice cream on it.
- 5:42Speaker 6: Well, then it won't be dry.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Have you had those toaster stools, like the.
- 5:46Speaker 6: Ones that okay, what okay? If those are I need?
- 5:49Speaker 6: I need all the.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Ice they are, They're so good. Yeah, I haven't. I

- 6:40Speaker 3: with you?
- 6:41Speaker 6: Do nothing? You burning hair?
- 6:43Speaker 1: I want to ask questions, are you thinking of moreto No?

- 12:23Speaker 3: I might I mean Greg, Greg Mike, Yeah, Greg likes
- 12:27Speaker 3: to watch. That is time to see what's so go
- 12:31Speaker 3: on On the trending news headlines, Gina Grads got those for us.
- 12:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:34Speaker 9: Well, a hospital employee and Delaware is accused of shooting
- 12:37Speaker 9: two of his coworkers and leaving one.
- 12:39Speaker 5: Of them dead.
- 12:40Speaker 9: Cops say they don't know what led up to the shooting,
- 12:42Speaker 9: or if there were issues between the people involved, but
- 12:44Speaker 9: they do think it was targeted and not some random
- 12:47Speaker 9: act of violence. The second victim's condition still hasn't been released,
- 12:51Speaker 9: and there's been a lot of talk about the alleged
- 12:53Speaker 9: plot to attack the UFC Freedom two fifty event at
- 12:56Speaker 9: the White House. According to the FBI, the group planned
- 12:59Speaker 9: a fly drone, was loaded with explosives over the event,
- 13:02Speaker 9: and then opened fire on people when they ran away.
- 13:04Speaker 9: Five people have been arrested.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I heard because I was like, who are these people?
- 13:08Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:08Speaker 3: And then I heard a story about like some dude's
- 13:10Speaker 3: mom turned out.
- 13:11Speaker 9: Yes, so this kid, I mean kid really, teenager, nineteen
- 13:14Speaker 9: year old from Ohio.
- 13:16Speaker 5: His mom tipped them off the cops.
- 13:18Speaker 9: She got suspicious after he started buying things like guns
- 13:20Speaker 9: and Ammo and ballistic plates.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Yeah, ballistic plates?
- 13:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Well finally the parents say something exactly. The
- 13:28Speaker 4: guns were sweet, though, did.
- 13:30Speaker 6: You see him like American flag?
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yes?
- 13:33Speaker 9: Well, she got suspicious after he bought all this stuff,
- 13:35Speaker 9: and she says he was talking about hit and run
- 13:37Speaker 9: missions and when she asked what does that mean?
- 13:39Speaker 5: He said, I can't talk about it.
- 13:41Speaker 3: That's where you started asking questions. Guns and the ballistic
- 13:44Speaker 3: plates show up, but they get say, it's the question
- 13:46Speaker 3: of like.
- 13:46Speaker 6: What do you mean hitting? What does that mean? Yet
- 13:48Speaker 6: to find that, like.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Dude, what's with the arsenal? Yeah exactly, that would have
- 13:51Speaker 3: been my first question. Who ordered this? Did you order this? Dude?
- 13:55Speaker 3: Not in this house? Yeah, exactly.
- 13:56Speaker 1: That wouldn't be allowed investigate.
- 13:58Speaker 9: Shockingly, investigator say it was part of this extremist group
- 14:00Speaker 9: on TikTok he was obsessed with Jeffrey Epstein and government corruption.
- 14:05Speaker 9: He had posted pro Hitler content online. Not a subtle dude,
- 14:09Speaker 9: And when agents arrested the group, they said they found
- 14:11Speaker 9: a huge stash of the guns and ammo, along with
- 14:13Speaker 9: maps of the.
- 14:14Speaker 5: Area escape routes.
- 14:15Speaker 9: And as you'd expect, some people believe the FBI's version
- 14:18Speaker 9: of the events completely and the others think this was
- 14:20Speaker 9: either made up or staged or embellished.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Okay, so the headline has been the FBI thwartz, but no,
- 14:27Speaker 3: it's this mom.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Yeah, for sure.
- 14:30Speaker 3: A mom thwarted. Like she's the one that you know,
- 14:33Speaker 3: called the cops. Had it not been for this mom
- 14:35Speaker 3: calling the cops, I think that's probably how they found,
- 14:37Speaker 3: like the communication between him and these other guys, the yeah,
- 14:41Speaker 3: these other TikTokers he's working with, and also whatever group
- 14:45Speaker 3: he's a part of.
- 14:46Speaker 9: You would think the event was, and I'm sure it
- 14:48Speaker 9: was pretty locked down. Like how are you getting a
- 14:51Speaker 9: drone over any events?
- 14:51Speaker 4: Anyway? I mean I'll get in the air shoot it
- 14:56Speaker 4: down right.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Well.
- 14:58Speaker 9: Speaking of DC, a four teen million dollar renovation of
- 15:02Speaker 9: the iconic Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool. It's getting a lot
- 15:04Speaker 9: of attention because the water turned green with algae just
- 15:07Speaker 9: days after the project was completed. The Trump administration drained
- 15:10Speaker 9: it and repaired it, repainted.
- 15:12Speaker 3: The pools are a lot of work man, Yeah too,
- 15:14Speaker 3: a lot of It's one of those things that people
- 15:15Speaker 3: think like, oh, I'm gonna use it all the time,
- 15:17Speaker 3: and yeah, it's cool. You think about all the good
- 15:18Speaker 3: stuff that comes to the pool. You don't think about
- 15:20Speaker 3: all the maintenance.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Yeah exactly.
- 15:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 3: So if you can afford which the government can get
- 15:24Speaker 3: a pool guy, you know, I don't know why, free
- 15:27Speaker 3: pool guy. Yeah, like, just just hire a professional pool
- 15:30Speaker 3: guy to tend to the reflecting page.
- 15:32Speaker 1: You're it out.
- 15:33Speaker 9: Yeah, because right after they did all this work, all
- 15:35Speaker 9: the algae came back. It turned green again, and the
- 15:38Speaker 9: National Park Service crew they've been treating the pool with
- 15:40Speaker 9: hydrogen peroxide. Is that a thing that says it's not helping?
- 15:43Speaker 9: And it was initially supposed to be two million bucks,
- 15:45Speaker 9: but now it's fourteen million.
- 15:47Speaker 1: But that's okay, Well, well you see how big it is.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Wait, two million, it is huge. Two million fixed the
- 15:53Speaker 3: algae problem.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Or was it for the whole renovation project?
- 15:56Speaker 5: Was supposed to be two million, but now it's fourteen.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Well they need one of those pool robots.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Those are bad ass.
- 16:01Speaker 5: Yes, exactly, the little with the like the wheels.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like three of them in there, like a
- 16:08Speaker 3: robot vacuum. That's basically a rumba for your pool.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:12Speaker 9: A lightsaber with Luke Skywalker sever severed hand is expected
- 16:16Speaker 9: to sell for big money at an upcoming auction. The
- 16:19Speaker 9: lightsaber used on screen by Mark Hamill.
- 16:22Speaker 3: See that's cool.
- 16:23Speaker 9: Yeah in the Empire Strikes Back includes a severed hand
- 16:26Speaker 9: effects rig and it's never been up for auction before.
- 16:30Speaker 9: So the bidding opens at one million dollars.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Okay, but see that's one of those things that have
- 16:35Speaker 3: you had we talked about all the time, like a
- 16:36Speaker 3: lot of these things that go up for auction. If
- 16:39Speaker 3: you have to explain if somebody, if you just had
- 16:40Speaker 3: somebody come over your house, they walk in, they see it,
- 16:43Speaker 3: and they go, what is that not worth it? They
- 16:46Speaker 3: have to be able to walk and go, dude, is
- 16:48Speaker 3: that the real.
- 16:49Speaker 5: Blah blah blah blah blah without hand.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Then worth it? So if someone sees that, dude, is
- 16:53Speaker 3: that like a legit? Yeah, it's the one from the movie.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Well, now, that's cool.
- 16:58Speaker 9: You need to put your little earing years on because
- 17:01Speaker 9: what do I think? This is something you should be
- 17:02Speaker 9: interested in. So the Hollywood Entertainment Signature Auction, it happens
- 17:06Speaker 9: July thirteenth through July seventeenth, and they are also selling
- 17:10Speaker 9: hoverboards from Back to the Future too.
- 17:12Speaker 6: That's cool.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Although I feel like I've seen a bunch of those. Yeah,
- 17:16Speaker 3: none of them were.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I tried it.
- 17:18Speaker 3: It's not that any of it will work. A lot
- 17:20Speaker 3: of them, like were never on screen the board.
- 17:24Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, they made.
- 17:25Speaker 3: A bunch of I saw one that was autographed by
- 17:28Speaker 3: Michael J. Fox at this place one time. That's see.
- 17:31Speaker 3: That's kind of cool. Yeah, because you know what it
- 17:33Speaker 3: is and it's signed by.
- 17:35Speaker 5: Was it kind of squick?
- 17:36Speaker 3: What's that?
- 17:36Speaker 5: Was it kind of quickly?
- 17:37Speaker 10: No?
- 17:37Speaker 3: Oh no it was.
- 17:39Speaker 6: It was cool.
- 17:39Speaker 3: It was like him and who's the who's the guy
- 17:42Speaker 3: that played Biff?
- 17:44Speaker 5: Oh yeah, Tom Wilson.
- 17:47Speaker 3: He's cool. He's a fun guest.
- 17:49Speaker 9: Yeah, and he does these usually you wouldn't hear someone
- 17:52Speaker 9: say he does these really funny parody songs about back
- 17:54Speaker 9: to the Future, but they're actually.
- 17:55Speaker 6: I have one.
- 17:56Speaker 3: It's from when he was on our show Good day.
- 17:59Speaker 3: This was like got twenty years ago at this point
- 18:02Speaker 3: when he was on. But yeah, he did this whole
- 18:04Speaker 3: song explaining, you know, different things. Yeah, when when in
- 18:08Speaker 3: the Back to the Future, you know, conventions or people
- 18:11Speaker 3: that come up, fans that come up to him, what happens.
- 18:13Speaker 6: Here's the song you did on the show.
- 18:15Speaker 3: I really, honestly, I was trying to I was.
- 18:17Speaker 10: I was auditioning on that, thinking, if I'm really good,
- 18:20Speaker 10: maybe I could be one of these gang members, one
- 18:22Speaker 10: of these big Biff's gang members, because they're clearly they'll
- 18:24Speaker 10: probably cast a star as Biff.
- 18:28Speaker 3: But if I get to be one of his gang members, man,
- 18:29Speaker 3: I'd be sweet Biff.
- 18:32Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:32Speaker 3: I ended up as the.
- 18:33Speaker 10: Guy ever asked my name a lot of time or
- 18:38Speaker 10: the show. When I'm flying and I'm playing arm on
- 18:40Speaker 10: the street. There there's a lot of friendly people that
- 18:42Speaker 10: I like to meet. They shake my head, but never
- 18:45Speaker 10: ask my name, and they start asking questions out are
- 18:47Speaker 10: always the same.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Hey, what's Michael J. Fox like?
- 18:50Speaker 6: He's nice?
- 18:51Speaker 10: What's Christopher Lloyd like? Kind of quiet? What's Chrispin Globber like? Unusual?
- 18:56Speaker 10: Stop asking me the question. I went to the barments
- 19:00Speaker 10: of my nephew, Josh, I'm not Jewish, but I like
- 19:03Speaker 10: to nush put on my yamaka started to pray. When
- 19:06Speaker 10: the rabbi leaned over round I heard him say, Hey,
- 19:09Speaker 10: was that real manure?
- 19:11Speaker 11: No?
- 19:11Speaker 3: It wasn't. How was that DeLorean a piece of garbage?
- 19:14Speaker 3: Do those humber forwards really fly?
- 19:16Speaker 6: It's a movie? Stop asking me the question.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Can we take your picture?
- 19:21Speaker 2: Come on?
- 19:21Speaker 5: Look?
- 19:21Speaker 2: Mean?
- 19:22Speaker 10: Would you call my friend a butt head on his
- 19:23Speaker 10: answering machine?
- 19:25Speaker 2: Question?
- 19:25Speaker 3: Just questions, just fill my head.
- 19:27Speaker 6: I went to my doctor.
- 19:28Speaker 3: My doctor said, what does a key grip do? He
- 19:32Speaker 3: sets up lights? What does the best boy do help
- 19:34Speaker 3: the key grip? What does a producer do?
- 19:37Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Stop asking me the question. Do you all hang out together?
- 19:42Speaker 6: No, we don't.
- 19:43Speaker 3: How's Crispin Glover? Never talk to him?
- 19:46Speaker 10: Back to the future floor never happen. And stop asking
- 19:49Speaker 10: me the question. Henk Woo's the nicest famous guy you know?
- 19:52Speaker 10: Adam Sandler, who is the biggest jerk? Gary Busey?
- 19:56Speaker 6: How much money do you make more than you do?
- 19:59Speaker 3: So stop asking question?
- 20:03Speaker 6: Yeah, Tom Wilson on our show?
- 20:06Speaker 1: Other guy talking to Tom Wilson.
- 20:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't recognize him at all.
- 20:11Speaker 9: Yeah, Well, Pizza Hut is officially being sold. The buyer
- 20:14Speaker 9: is a private equity firm. The price is I mean, menace.
- 20:18Speaker 9: If you can match it, if you can match two
- 20:20Speaker 9: point seven billion, you could buy it. The huts current
- 20:24Speaker 9: owner that's Young Brands of course, that also owns KFC
- 20:26Speaker 9: and Taco Bell. They announced earlier this year they plan
- 20:29Speaker 9: to close two hundred and fifty Pizza Hut locations and
- 20:32Speaker 9: not sure what the plan is now with the new owners.
- 20:34Speaker 9: But private equity, of course, never a great thing for
- 20:37Speaker 9: making things better.
- 20:38Speaker 3: No, they usually make things worse. They come in, they
- 20:40Speaker 3: try to cut as much as they can, just turn around,
- 20:42Speaker 3: flip it, sell to somebody.
- 20:44Speaker 5: Else, right, exactly invested in the product.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Yeah, they're like house flippers, you know what I mean.
- 20:48Speaker 3: They're not there to make the neighborhood better. They're not
- 20:50Speaker 3: there for the improvement of the comunity or anything else. Now,
- 20:52Speaker 3: they just kind of come in. I was hoping it
- 20:54Speaker 3: was going to be that guy that we've heard about
- 20:56Speaker 3: in the news that's opening up a bunch of the
- 20:59Speaker 3: old school. Yes, the locations of the dining ones like
- 21:02Speaker 3: Jeffany Lamps like, yeah, bringing back like the eighties, early nineties.
- 21:05Speaker 5: Version of Pizza the Table video game.
- 21:07Speaker 3: I was kind of hoping he was the guy behind,
- 21:09Speaker 3: you know, kind of taking it back.
- 21:11Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's exactly the opposite.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Yep.
- 21:13Speaker 9: And finally, to celebrate America's two hundred and fiftieth birthday
- 21:17Speaker 9: on June twenty third, McDonald's fried apple.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Pie will be back.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Why no, they ruined the apple pie. That apple part
- 21:26Speaker 3: was so much better when it was fried. Then they
- 21:28Speaker 3: started baking them.
- 21:30Speaker 5: Yeah, that was like in the early nineties. They switched
- 21:32Speaker 5: it out.
- 21:32Speaker 6: I mean, I'll eat it, but you know, compared to
- 21:34Speaker 6: the fried one.
- 21:36Speaker 9: Well, McDonald's fried apple Pie filled with one hundred percent
- 21:39Speaker 9: American grown apples and a golden, flaky crust.
- 21:42Speaker 3: That's what I care about.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Actually these apples were grown.
- 21:46Speaker 9: Here for two hundred the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary. Yeah,
- 21:50Speaker 9: it hasn't been around about thirty five years, and fans
- 21:53Speaker 9: have been requesting the og pies for decades. So back
- 21:57Speaker 9: for a little bit of time. Get them while you can.
- 21:59Speaker 12: Don't get them what they want, you take bake exactly.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Menace. You'll understand this.
- 22:13Speaker 6: Me too.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I'm put you a lot of words.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 22:17Speaker 10: Let me.
- 22:18Speaker 3: On the video, Jeff, you were having some problems too, dude,
- 22:21Speaker 3: we were we were spelling vegetables. That was on me
- 22:24Speaker 3: and that was on It was on me to man,
- 22:26Speaker 3: because I just went by what you wrote down. I'm like,
- 22:28Speaker 3: I guess that's right. I just assumed that you knew
- 22:30Speaker 3: you were doing.
- 22:31Speaker 6: Uh no, never assume that, all right?
- 22:34Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:35Speaker 3: Zucchini yeah, oh yeah. How would you spell zucchini menace?
- 22:40Speaker 6: Uh?
- 22:42Speaker 1: Z I you right?
- 22:44Speaker 3: Okay, So now how would you spell zucchini?
- 22:46Speaker 6: Sammy?
- 22:47Speaker 5: See you C C I N I See?
- 22:51Speaker 3: I was I was going, I think that's how I
- 22:53Speaker 3: did it on that on that whiteboard.
- 22:55Speaker 6: There's an H in there.
- 22:56Speaker 5: Yez C C.
- 22:59Speaker 3: H I N I Is that? Is that right?
- 23:02Speaker 6: I don't believe it.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Don't look up Greg. I'm want to see if you
- 23:04Speaker 3: can do it.
- 23:05Speaker 6: I think it's zu. Is it? Two c's Z There
- 23:11Speaker 6: are two ss there are okay, so then z U
- 23:13Speaker 6: C C H I and I yeah, yeah, yeah, that's yeah.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Because like on the comments, which the it's funny man
- 23:21Speaker 3: watching Menace with the the googly eyed mask on is hilarious.
- 23:26Speaker 3: It's really good. And he was trying vegetables to see
- 23:30Speaker 3: if you can figure out like what these vegetables were,
- 23:34Speaker 3: and so I goes, wow, I think I think, I
- 23:36Speaker 3: think what it can benefit from his spelling lesson on zucchini? Yeah,
- 23:39Speaker 3: well we all butchered it. We're radio people. We're not
- 23:42Speaker 3: smart people. I've mentioned that a thousand times. I'm not
- 23:44Speaker 3: a smart person, like at all.
- 23:47Speaker 5: Yeah, nobody's claiming to be something they're not.
- 23:49Speaker 3: We're all good at certain things, like when it comes
- 23:50Speaker 3: to you know, uh, making his way around Instagram and
- 23:53Speaker 3: things like that, like Menace is your guy. You know,
- 23:56Speaker 3: certain things I could tell you about. Certain thing Gregs
- 23:58Speaker 3: can tell you about, but he couldn't tell you about,
- 23:59Speaker 3: like how Wi fi works. Everybody's everybody's got their things now, medics.
- 24:05Speaker 3: I'm sure you and I can relate to something like this.
- 24:07Speaker 3: This is a woman news anchor and she's having a
- 24:10Speaker 3: hard time here and as toilibratory x X exhibition, thank you.
- 24:18Speaker 3: She couldn't read it because everything's on a prompter exhibition
- 24:22Speaker 3: and a toilibratory x X exhibition, thank you. And you
- 24:28Speaker 3: can just hear.
- 24:28Speaker 11: The disappointment God, and a clebratory x X exhibition, thank you.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Thank you God.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Man, you don't know like the benefits of being able
- 24:39Speaker 4: to read a teleprompter. I mean it is still a skill.
- 24:43Speaker 4: I mean you can't still read, but to me to
- 24:45Speaker 4: read that and then just also sound natural reading it,
- 24:49Speaker 4: it's it is a skill because.
- 24:54Speaker 3: As someone who's been in radio as long as I have,
- 24:56Speaker 3: I can instantly hear when someone's reading. Yeah, I wish
- 25:00Speaker 3: I could do it, And there's some people who are
- 25:02Speaker 3: really good. I feel like, actually that's one of that's
- 25:05Speaker 3: one of my better skills. Like I could read something
- 25:08Speaker 3: and sound conversational.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Now there's words in there that I mean I get right, yeah,
- 25:14Speaker 3: and I'm may see conversationally illiterate.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Yeah, but yeah, well that's why I was going back
- 25:20Speaker 4: when we're talking about Ryan Seacrest.
- 25:23Speaker 1: He was he was pronouncing some word.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Like till he was doing a commercial. We heard Ryan
- 25:29Speaker 3: Seacrest on a commercial and tillamook like tillamok cheese, you know,
- 25:33Speaker 3: ice creams and stuff like, yeah, he goes.
- 25:35Speaker 4: Till a mook And we know Ryan, and Ryan like
- 25:37Speaker 4: he's like he's a pro. He's a pro when it
- 25:41Speaker 4: comes to like the telepomter stuff and pronouncing stuff.
- 25:44Speaker 1: So I don't know, like.
- 25:46Speaker 5: You know something we don't.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Yeah, Greg, you want to hear some more news bloopers.
- 25:49Speaker 6: I know Greg.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Greg loves these, especially when well or when people can't
- 25:54Speaker 3: stop laughing.
- 25:56Speaker 6: Thing.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Yeah, this is this is pretty good.
- 25:58Speaker 13: Say one person positive, it is showing no symptoms, another
- 26:01Speaker 13: is symptomatic. All of them will spend time at the
- 26:07Speaker 13: University of Nebraska Medical Center, which has a quarantine facility
- 26:14Speaker 13: and especially unit for treating people.
- 26:17Speaker 6: With pexious diseases.
- 26:19Speaker 1: The CDC does not require the group to stay at
- 26:23Speaker 1: the facility long.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Sorry, probably something, probably something Before they came back from that,
- 26:32Speaker 3: they're still laughing about. And I have to go right
- 26:34Speaker 3: into the story where yeah, you are dying. It happens
- 26:38Speaker 3: with Greg all the time.
- 26:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I think the time that stands out in my head.
- 26:41Speaker 6: Remember when we had that story about a drunk school
- 26:44Speaker 6: bus driver and I was almost peeing in my pants. Yeah,
- 26:48Speaker 6: it just hit me the right but no kids were hurt,
- 26:51Speaker 6: and then I just lost it.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Uh, this is is pretty good. Man trying to burn
- 26:56Speaker 3: down I'm so sorry.
- 26:59Speaker 6: Burned down.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Man trying to burn down a marijuana dispensary in Monroe
- 27:09Speaker 1: County accidentally caught himself on fire.
- 27:18Speaker 3: I mean, that's what we honestly try to do to
- 27:20Speaker 3: Greg every day during commercial break right when he's coming back.
- 27:23Speaker 6: True, true, Yeah, tried hard to put blinders on. It's hard.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Let's see there's a I meancause there's a bunch that.
- 27:34Speaker 5: He calls the pig chrisp p Bacon and loses it. Yeah,
- 27:37Speaker 5: I love that guy.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Yeah, there was you know where they where they're like
- 27:40Speaker 3: laughing at something.
- 27:41Speaker 14: Yeah, good evening on ken Dastita Dana is off tonight.
- 27:47Speaker 14: He was murdered and then set on fire while celebrating
- 27:50Speaker 14: his birthday.
- 27:51Speaker 3: Now see this is where punctuation on the teleprocter comes
- 27:53Speaker 3: in handy because you know is off tonight period. And
- 27:57Speaker 3: then he goes into his first story. It's yeah, they
- 28:00Speaker 3: sound like his coworker was.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Killed on his.
- 28:04Speaker 14: Good evening on Kendas Dana is off tonight. He was
- 28:07Speaker 14: murdered and then set on fire.
- 28:09Speaker 3: We see, Yeah, here's the laughing I fire crashed.
- 28:13Speaker 6: These three people dead.
- 28:14Speaker 15: Placed in Nebraska say a rental truck carrying two people
- 28:17Speaker 15: lost control across the median and collide it head on
- 28:20Speaker 15: with a semi truck. Both trucks burst into flames, and
- 28:23Speaker 15: witnesses say there were several explosions to hilarious. Excuse me,
- 28:29Speaker 15: the two people in the room.
- 28:32Speaker 3: That's a great right there.
- 28:33Speaker 6: Two people in the truck driver. This is a sad story.
- 28:37Speaker 6: Excuse me.
- 28:39Speaker 15: Said they had fires containing about ten minutes.
- 28:43Speaker 5: He's, of course correct.
- 28:47Speaker 2: This sad.
- 28:47Speaker 4: Also, when you're news acre, you'd be killing all that
- 28:50Speaker 4: stuff because that's all your reading all day, every day,
- 28:53Speaker 4: death and destruction.
- 28:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:55Speaker 13: Right after the break, we're going to interview Eric Wyhan Mayor,
- 28:58Speaker 13: who climbed the highest mountain the world, Mount Everest.
- 29:01Speaker 1: But he's gay.
- 29:03Speaker 2: I mean he's gay.
- 29:04Speaker 7: Excuse me, he's blind.
- 29:06Speaker 6: At the breakover, imagine a gay man climbing a mountain. No, never,
- 29:13Speaker 6: I mean extinctions.
- 29:14Speaker 16: I don't have to tell you have been part of
- 29:16Speaker 16: the natural history of the world for millennia, and man
- 29:19Speaker 16: made extinctions have even happened before. I guess we hunted
- 29:21Speaker 16: the dildos into extinction. But I'm having with my words
- 29:28Speaker 16: today the donor into extention?
- 29:30Speaker 6: Are we going to see ext I got one?
- 29:35Speaker 3: But this is more Uh, this is more recent one.
- 29:37Speaker 3: This guy he was a witness to a crash and
- 29:39Speaker 3: he's talking to the guy. The news dude, the news dude,
- 29:42Speaker 3: just he's laughing because this guy is he's one of
- 29:44Speaker 3: those like colorful characters, you know, like those those those
- 29:47Speaker 3: perfect witnesses for TV news stories.
- 29:50Speaker 2: It was all.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Fire, I got nobody ain't going to on top of it,
- 29:56Speaker 3: like one of those kind of you can't Yeah, right,
- 29:59Speaker 3: exactly exactly the same kind of thing happened with this
- 30:02Speaker 3: dude said, you saw this.
- 30:03Speaker 1: He ran the light, t bowned the lady.
- 30:05Speaker 6: I'm bobbing and weaving. I'm just thankful to be alive
- 30:08Speaker 6: right now. What did it sound like?
- 30:12Speaker 3: I swear not to be funny.
- 30:13Speaker 1: It happened that fast.
- 30:16Speaker 5: He's trying to help.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Yeah, Oh dude. When when the show used to be
- 30:23Speaker 3: based out of San Francisco years ago and we covered
- 30:27Speaker 3: that story about uh Ken Bastida and that news story
- 30:31Speaker 3: about how he kind of missed the punctuation.
- 30:34Speaker 6: They were directly upstairs from him.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Yeah, the news station was on the floor above us.
- 30:38Speaker 3: They were so mad of texture just pointed out they
- 30:40Speaker 3: remember how butt hurt they were that you made fun
- 30:43Speaker 3: of him about that news story.
- 30:45Speaker 6: Yeah. Every time he crossed Greg.
- 30:46Speaker 3: In the in the you get these filthy looks. And
- 30:54Speaker 3: then we started nicknaming him Ken the Bastard Bastida because
- 30:57Speaker 3: he was such a prick to Greg from that point,
- 30:59Speaker 3: For dude, this is.
- 31:00Speaker 14: Funny, good evening on Ken Bastida. Dana is off tonight.
- 31:06Speaker 14: He was murdered and then set on fire. I'm celebrating
- 31:10Speaker 14: his birthday.
- 31:11Speaker 4: I saw him in the parking lot too, like I
- 31:13Speaker 4: don't think a year later and then I tried to
- 31:15Speaker 4: correct him on another story.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Well, man, since we're in the business of correcting.
- 31:20Speaker 1: You, yeah, I just definitely well the passes.
- 31:22Speaker 6: We had tandem parking, where one car parks in front
- 31:25Speaker 6: of the other, and he would sit and wait for
- 31:27Speaker 6: me to move the car in front of mine, move mine,
- 31:29Speaker 6: then have to move the other one back, and he
- 31:31Speaker 6: would just sit there with his arms folded, just glaring
- 31:34Speaker 6: at me. Who did Ken?
- 31:35Speaker 3: The bastard basket the bastard bastarda ken little sitchus. Randy
- 31:40Speaker 3: Mason is at that scene gathering new details about what
- 31:43Speaker 3: started that fire, and Randy, why were there so many
- 31:45Speaker 3: cats in that house in the first place.
- 31:48Speaker 6: Let me get to that in just a second, Michael.
- 31:49Speaker 17: Let me I just want to set the scene for
- 31:51Speaker 17: you real quick. Get the family, friends and stuff, forwarding
- 31:54Speaker 17: up the windows and trying to salvage as much as
- 31:56Speaker 17: they can from this burning home. But uh, basically, the lady,
- 32:01Speaker 17: the resident homeowner, says that she has so many cats
- 32:04Speaker 17: because people are her friends, knew that she loves cats,
- 32:09Speaker 17: and that people would bring him to her and you know,
- 32:12Speaker 17: promising to come back and pick them up, and they
- 32:15Speaker 17: never would come back and you know, do that.
- 32:17Speaker 6: So she just accumulated close.
- 32:19Speaker 3: To eighty cats according to police reports.
- 32:22Speaker 17: And basically she just kind of says it was a
- 32:24Speaker 17: bad situation, you know, going bad. This is the last
- 32:26Speaker 17: thing I wanted to have at them like that or
- 32:28Speaker 17: just active anybody.
- 32:30Speaker 2: I wanted them adopted out.
- 32:32Speaker 14: I wanted people to take them into their homes and
- 32:35Speaker 14: give them a home what they.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Used to have.
- 32:37Speaker 6: I mean.
- 32:37Speaker 3: So you can see like the people back at the
- 32:40Speaker 3: U and it goes on because like then they go
- 32:42Speaker 3: back to the studio and they're dying and this guy
- 32:45Speaker 3: he's trying to file this report, he's stumbling all over himself.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Yeah, because every time they like try to talk back
- 32:51Speaker 4: to the person that's like out in the field and
- 32:54Speaker 4: that person has already given their report and then they're
- 32:57Speaker 4: asked to like freestyle and give more information.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Were not prepared to do that. Ever, No, and.
- 33:02Speaker 5: There's a delay, so good luck with that.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Yeah, like if Menace was a woman and a news anchor.
- 33:07Speaker 18: Moving on, some people say over our sorry one second,
- 33:10Speaker 18: we're trying to get a story up right now, Okay,
- 33:13Speaker 18: before we go into Labor Day weekend. We will we
- 33:17Speaker 18: are in Labor Day weekend. We want to make sure
- 33:19Speaker 18: officials are hoping to avoid the surgeon cases that have
- 33:22Speaker 18: been following the Memorial Day and Fourth of July weekends.
- 33:25Speaker 2: This as we actually just did that package.
- 33:27Speaker 18: Let's go to the next story.
- 33:28Speaker 6: Guys, all right, guys, surge, Yeah, she was. She was fun.
- 33:37Speaker 6: One of my all time favorite classics is remember Connie Chung.
- 33:40Speaker 6: Of course it's a Connie chunk tossed to that White
- 33:42Speaker 6: House correspondent and he wasn't ready, didn't think they were
- 33:45Speaker 6: even live, and she asked him a question to start
- 33:48Speaker 6: the report, and he's like, how the.
- 33:49Speaker 12: Hell should I know, Connie? And then he realizes they're live?
- 33:54Speaker 12: How the hell should I know? Oh, I'm sorry.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Yep.
- 34:00Speaker 6: There was the other one. I think it was from
- 34:01Speaker 6: New York.
- 34:02Speaker 3: I think it was Fox in New York, where the
- 34:04Speaker 3: guy I guess used to be the dude's boss. But
- 34:07Speaker 3: now the guy who was the boss is a street reporter,
- 34:09Speaker 3: and the guy who was the underling is now the anchor,
- 34:12Speaker 3: and the guy who is now on his way out
- 34:15Speaker 3: kind of like on his way down in his career.
- 34:19Speaker 3: I guess, was kind of phoning it in on this
- 34:21Speaker 3: news story. The guy the anchor back, He's like, well,
- 34:23Speaker 3: hold on, don't let her off the hook. So is
- 34:24Speaker 3: you got it right there? Ask her why blah blah
- 34:26Speaker 3: blah blah blah. I don't know telling you how to
- 34:28Speaker 3: do your job. Well, you used to work for me.
- 34:30Speaker 3: He was like, yeah, how's that working out?
- 34:33Speaker 6: Oh?
- 34:33Speaker 3: God, Howard, it's so funny.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Man.
- 34:36Speaker 3: We are a heavy metal band.
- 34:38Speaker 5: I mean everybody knows that.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Wait wait, hold on, wait, wait.
- 34:41Speaker 3: On where am I the Woody Show. So Gina's husband
- 34:48Speaker 3: really hurt himself. Yeah, and uh tour a c l
- 34:52Speaker 3: MCL and it's because all that kind of stuff had
- 34:54Speaker 3: to have surgery and he went in for surgery and
- 34:59Speaker 3: Gina had been his nurse. Yeah, how's he feeling?
- 35:03Speaker 9: He's I mean, I guess he's okay. He's a pretty
- 35:05Speaker 9: high pain tolerance, but it hurts.
- 35:08Speaker 3: He well, yeah, you come down off those uh, yeah,
- 35:11Speaker 3: like the whatever they gave you, the nstesia.
- 35:13Speaker 9: Yeah, and it's over started sitting when I went to bed. Finally,
- 35:17Speaker 9: I just I turned like to the left on my
- 35:19Speaker 9: side and you know, took kind of the blanket with
- 35:21Speaker 9: me and he started screaming in pain because it.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Grazed the Yeah.
- 35:24Speaker 3: But also like, okay, I'm gonna bring up a reference
- 35:28Speaker 3: here at a second, you guys are gonna have to
- 35:29Speaker 3: uh look up on the internet, ninety nine point nine
- 35:32Speaker 3: percent of you because it's it's it's an old timey reference.
- 35:35Speaker 3: I know it for reasons I'll explain. But I'm picturing
- 35:39Speaker 3: Gina being like this person because didn't you, like didn't
- 35:44Speaker 3: something spill like in the new Oh my god, like
- 35:47Speaker 3: clumsy nurse.
- 35:48Speaker 5: I'm a mess. I'm like, yeah, who are you thinking of?
- 35:52Speaker 3: I'll tell you a second, Okay, because Andy, I guess
- 35:55Speaker 3: almost slipped on some water that Gina had spilled. You
- 35:58Speaker 3: would think a guy who's immobile.
- 36:00Speaker 5: You think I'm trying to kill.
- 36:01Speaker 3: I can't put like even like a like a like
- 36:03Speaker 3: a pube's hair worth of pressure, like any kind of
- 36:05Speaker 3: like weight on his h on his on his knee.
- 36:08Speaker 5: On his toe, nothing like people.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Are worried about spills when everybody's.
- 36:14Speaker 9: Body yes, so exhausted. I was just it was just
- 36:17Speaker 9: a comedy of misadventures. He decided he wanted to sleep
- 36:20Speaker 9: on the couch, so I got back up. I pulled
- 36:22Speaker 9: this comforter and took the entire humidifier with me, and
- 36:25Speaker 9: it just splashed all over the ground.
- 36:27Speaker 5: And I said, leave it. I'll clean it up.
- 36:29Speaker 9: When i'm done. I'll clean up after I make your bed.
- 36:31Speaker 9: So I go in there, I'm making the bed. I'm like,
- 36:32Speaker 9: where is he?
- 36:33Speaker 5: Where the hell is he?
- 36:34Speaker 9: After like seven minutes, I go back in and he's
- 36:37Speaker 9: somehow I don't know how, but he got a towel
- 36:39Speaker 9: and he's he's trying to wipe it with the crutch
- 36:42Speaker 9: and what are you doing? He's like, onn you spilled
- 36:45Speaker 9: water all over.
- 36:46Speaker 5: I said I'd get it. He's like, I could have
- 36:48Speaker 5: slipped and died.
- 36:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Well then also then she dropped something on his naise.
- 36:52Speaker 9: I dropped something on Yes, he was laying in bed. No,
- 36:57Speaker 9: it's kind of my fault, but not totally my fault.
- 36:59Speaker 3: I would be far away.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Okay, here's the thing.
- 37:01Speaker 3: I would hire some really hot nurse.
- 37:03Speaker 5: I love nothing more, trust me, he I was.
- 37:07Speaker 9: He has this pump on his other leg that like
- 37:10Speaker 9: in flates and deflates to keep from cloths on the
- 37:12Speaker 9: other leg. So I'm doing that and I'm kind of
- 37:14Speaker 9: being really careful and he looked at me. He's like, Oh,
- 37:15Speaker 9: you don't have to be careful with that leg, And
- 37:18Speaker 9: in my mind I was like, so I don't have
- 37:19Speaker 9: to be careful with legs. And I took this charger
- 37:23Speaker 9: that it needed and I kind of just whipped. He's like,
- 37:26Speaker 9: he starts screwing out, but he goes, I go, what what?
- 37:30Speaker 9: He goes, that's my leg?
- 37:31Speaker 5: I said, but you said I didn't have to be careful,
- 37:33Speaker 5: like I wasn't understanding like.
- 37:35Speaker 3: The one that didn't have the surgery.
- 37:37Speaker 5: I wasn't understanding reality at that point.
- 37:40Speaker 3: If you had like back surgery, right, yeah, seven hour
- 37:44Speaker 3: like back surgery.
- 37:46Speaker 1: That was crazy.
- 37:47Speaker 7: Seven hours yeah, seven hours that anesthesia I was on that.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Michael Jackson, Jesus, what it's after you're like jumping stuff
- 37:54Speaker 3: on the motorcycle ride like something really cool?
- 37:56Speaker 6: Yeah, just wearing.
- 38:03Speaker 5: Morning Yeah.
- 38:03Speaker 3: So the reference I'm thinking of. So there's a friend
- 38:06Speaker 3: of ours, a radio friend of ours, Tim Conway junior. Okay,
- 38:09Speaker 3: his dad is comedy legend Tim Conway, who was on
- 38:13Speaker 3: the Carol Burnett Show. So this is very old time.
- 38:17Speaker 3: But here's what I want you to do. And this
- 38:19Speaker 3: is this is how I picture things going with Gina.
- 38:22Speaker 3: There's a classic Tim Conway bit where.
- 38:25Speaker 6: He's a dentist.
- 38:30Speaker 5: The character.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Yeah, so Tim Conway is a dentist and he's not
- 38:36Speaker 3: a very he's like a newer dentist or something. He's
- 38:39Speaker 3: not a very experienced dentist. So he has like a
- 38:40Speaker 3: basically how to be a Dentist book in his hand
- 38:44Speaker 3: as the patient sitting there in the dentist chair, and
- 38:47Speaker 3: he's looking at like what to do with some picturing
- 38:49Speaker 3: Gina reading all the instructions, you know, and then he's
- 38:53Speaker 3: figuring out like how he's going to administer this novacane.
- 38:56Speaker 3: So it's in the it's in the syringe, and the
- 38:58Speaker 3: whole thing is ready to go, and it becomes just
- 39:00Speaker 3: a comedy of error because he turns around ends up
- 39:04Speaker 3: like stabbing himself in the leg with the novacane and
- 39:07Speaker 3: then they so now he can barely move as he's
- 39:10Speaker 3: trying to like do dental work on this guy and
- 39:12Speaker 3: he's it's it's really funny.
- 39:15Speaker 5: This feels very familiar, but exactly, it's exactly.
- 39:17Speaker 3: I've seen that bit a thousand times because you know,
- 39:20Speaker 3: we followed Tim Conway Junior on social media and he'll
- 39:23Speaker 3: post like old clips of his dad and that's one
- 39:25Speaker 3: that gets shared a lot. Yeah, it's a classic bit.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Just type in Tim Conway dentist, and it's exactly how
- 39:32Speaker 3: I'm picturing Gina trying to take care of port.
- 39:38Speaker 5: That would not be true.
- 39:39Speaker 3: He didn't get hurt. The other one worked on.
- 39:42Speaker 4: I've been trying to find out did he get a
- 39:43Speaker 4: new knee or no.
- 39:45Speaker 5: No, it's well did they repair?
- 39:47Speaker 1: Yeah, well so they.
- 39:48Speaker 9: Had to they Yeah, they sewed everything back together, and
- 39:51Speaker 9: then they had to take like a chunk of meat
- 39:53Speaker 9: from his patella and and scoop that out and then
- 39:57Speaker 9: sew that where the like where because every it was
- 40:00Speaker 9: just dangling inside like it's not connected to anything. They'd
- 40:03Speaker 9: like patch that up like in you know, arts and
- 40:05Speaker 9: crafts project. And and yeah, he's not doing well, especially
- 40:10Speaker 9: when me around. I know I'm and plus we have
- 40:14Speaker 9: a ten year old who doesn't pay attention to anything
- 40:16Speaker 9: and a puppy. So if he survives this, it's going
- 40:19Speaker 9: to be a goddamn miracle.
- 40:20Speaker 6: I gotta ask, then, what's the bathroom situation? Does he eat? Oh? Yeah? Everything.
- 40:24Speaker 9: I keep asking to help, just because I think it
- 40:27Speaker 9: would be fun, but he won't let me.
- 40:28Speaker 5: I was like, I can hold it while you're on
- 40:30Speaker 5: the crutches, and he said no.
- 40:32Speaker 2: And is that? Like?
- 40:33Speaker 5: I thought that'd be super helpful.
- 40:35Speaker 4: Like I would just live in the bathroom, right, I
- 40:39Speaker 4: would line me down in the bathtub, and if you
- 40:42Speaker 4: need to poop or anything.
- 40:44Speaker 9: Well that's the thing with He's not going to be
- 40:46Speaker 9: pooping for a while. But I got one of those
- 40:48Speaker 9: rails for the toilet so it looks like.
- 40:49Speaker 5: A ninety year old lives in our house.
- 40:51Speaker 1: And a shower chair, which I love what you said,
- 40:54Speaker 1: does actually.
- 40:54Speaker 5: Put so comfortable to just sit in the shower in
- 40:57Speaker 5: a chair.
- 40:57Speaker 3: And just said the water run right?
- 40:58Speaker 1: Yes?
- 40:59Speaker 6: Yeah for now?
- 41:00Speaker 5: What forever?
- 41:01Speaker 6: That right?
- 41:01Speaker 1: Right? Yeah?
- 41:01Speaker 6: That's great?
- 41:02Speaker 3: Yeah wasteful eight seven seven forty four Woody text over
- 41:06Speaker 3: to two two nine eight seven man's if you want
- 41:10Speaker 3: to can you link the uh the Tim Conway dentist
- 41:13Speaker 3: thing on Instagram story?
- 41:15Speaker 6: I will do that. Yeah, great, make it easier.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I think we can do make it easier for you,
- 41:19Speaker 3: the listener. We're all about it.
- 41:21Speaker 6: And I think at one point in that sketch, don't
- 41:22Speaker 6: think you crack each other up?
- 41:23Speaker 5: Yes, oh yeah, always breaking each other him in Yeah, all.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Right, more what he shows next?
- 41:28Speaker 6: Thing?
- 41:34Speaker 3: You know, the Woody Show. Wind makes everything worse. Hot, uncomfortable, hot,
- 41:42Speaker 3: but windy, worse.
- 41:45Speaker 2: Rain, rain, okay, rain, but win your face. Yeah, snow,
- 41:51Speaker 2: but win.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Worse the Woody Show. Ladus, gentlemen, boys and girls. We
- 41:57Speaker 3: have a guest in studio with us here in the
- 42:01Speaker 3: flesh is Kevin Smith. Hell, okay, good morning.
- 42:06Speaker 1: And let me tell you I got a text last
- 42:09Speaker 1: night from this main broadcaster right here who made it
- 42:14Speaker 1: very clear he needs to get here by seven yep.
- 42:17Speaker 1: And you were so serious about it, and nobody is
- 42:20Speaker 1: ever that serious with me text, And so in order
- 42:24Speaker 1: to make it here, I have not gone to sleep.
- 42:26Speaker 6: I'm out of here.
- 42:28Speaker 1: I'nest sleep. I stayed up all night. I was working
- 42:30Speaker 1: on this book that I have coming out next year.
- 42:34Speaker 1: It's in about to go into galleys, and so you're
- 42:37Speaker 1: doing like one last pass on it and stuff. So
- 42:40Speaker 1: I was like, I'll start working on this, and then
- 42:42Speaker 1: I like wound up working till about four in the morning,
- 42:45Speaker 1: and then I was like, well, I can't go to
- 42:47Speaker 1: sleep now o'clock. So iris on zero sleep at all.
- 42:53Speaker 1: So I ask me anything, now, you're gonna get nothing
- 42:57Speaker 1: but an unadulterated truth. What do you drop truth on
- 43:00Speaker 1: the show? It's so good here it is traded truth.
- 43:05Speaker 1: I don't know what aspect of the show. Where are
- 43:08Speaker 1: we local or worldwide?
- 43:10Speaker 2: Man?
- 43:10Speaker 1: Yeah? Everybody?
- 43:12Speaker 3: Yeah, everybody, everybody, everybody, no pressure whatsoever.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Let me tell you I've been so busy. I did
- 43:18Speaker 1: a wedding yesterday. I performed a wedding. I fused two
- 43:21Speaker 1: human beings to go thanks to the power of the
- 43:25Speaker 1: Universal Life Church invested in me and stuff. Prior to that.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Where was I was in New York and a local
- 43:32Speaker 1: sports team did well? Apparently? Yeah, I hadn't heard swallowed
- 43:36Speaker 1: by forty thousand people walking across a Times Square, man,
- 43:40Speaker 1: I want. I went into the city to see the
- 43:42Speaker 1: Rocky Horror Show. It was absolutely amazing. The next day
- 43:47Speaker 1: that you know, you have two things going on, the
- 43:51Speaker 1: Knicks and FIFA, which means that it was so easy
- 43:56Speaker 1: to get theater tickets oh my god, for a little
- 44:02Speaker 1: shop bars. I felt like a king. I felt like
- 44:05Speaker 1: you ring a Broadway.
- 44:06Speaker 3: It's like going somewhere on Super Bowl Sunday.
- 44:08Speaker 1: It's nuts. And so after the show was over, we
- 44:11Speaker 1: walked back because we were at the West Side theater,
- 44:14Speaker 1: so it was only like maybe like a mile walk
- 44:16Speaker 1: or something like ten blocks. So we're walking through like
- 44:20Speaker 1: Time Square, and I kind of walk like head down,
- 44:23Speaker 1: moving ever forward because if I slow up, people like,
- 44:27Speaker 1: hey here, Kevin James, so that's possible. Yeah, like kick
- 44:33Speaker 1: a Quaen says hot so uh Solomeo. So I I
- 44:40Speaker 1: kind of tend to move forward. Jennifer, like my wife
- 44:43Speaker 1: had to stop me. She called she was Kevin. I
- 44:45Speaker 1: barely heard her. I turned around and she stopped dead
- 44:48Speaker 1: in the crowd. She's like, take a picture. We took
- 44:49Speaker 1: a picture. It was just a sea of humanity. It
- 44:52Speaker 1: was like forty thousand people in Tome Square. And this
- 44:55Speaker 1: is before they won. So we go back to the
- 44:58Speaker 1: hotel and we're sitting on the balcony. He's smoking and
- 45:00Speaker 1: we're not sports enthusiasts and whatnot. I mean, I'm all
- 45:03Speaker 1: for it, you know. Enjoy New York seemed to be
- 45:05Speaker 1: having a great time and very anticipatory. We knew the
- 45:09Speaker 1: moment the game ended. Oh yeah, the whole We were
- 45:12Speaker 1: on the on the balcony and it was it was
- 45:15Speaker 1: It was crazy, like did you ever go to a
- 45:19Speaker 1: Blackhawks game at the Madhouse in Chicago? Supposed to be
- 45:23Speaker 1: the loudest center of the planet in terms of noise
- 45:28Speaker 1: made by human beings as so cacophonoust they count the
- 45:33Speaker 1: decibel levels off the charts. This was akin to.
- 45:36Speaker 6: That, like.
- 45:38Speaker 3: The buildings of New York and.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Oh my lord, it sounded like was coming. But instead
- 45:47Speaker 1: they were just very happy about their their win.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Kevin Smith is here. He's doing a signing of his
- 45:53Speaker 3: comic Jays of Future Past and this is going to
- 45:56Speaker 3: be at the Weed Shop on Hollywood Boulevard. This is
- 45:59Speaker 3: tomorrow at four pm.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Right here in Los Angeles. Yeah are we are we
- 46:03Speaker 1: in the Los Angeles portion of things?
- 46:05Speaker 3: Yes, of course taking one of these.
- 46:07Speaker 10: Man.
- 46:09Speaker 1: This is a comic book that I did with Marvel Kids,
- 46:12Speaker 1: fully sanctioned Jay and Silent Bob. I wrote it, my
- 46:17Speaker 1: friend Camo drew it. It's it's amazing. Uh, this book
- 46:20Speaker 1: it smells of weed. Yes, well, that's because it came
- 46:25Speaker 1: from my office. It's the pa It's not like remember
- 46:30Speaker 1: like in the seventies, Kiss was in a Marvel comic
- 46:33Speaker 1: book and in order to do that, they was.
- 46:35Speaker 6: Part of the marketing.
- 46:36Speaker 1: They crick their fingers and put the blood in the
- 46:38Speaker 1: ink and whatnot, and we were not that clever. That's
- 46:41Speaker 1: just from of my office for weeks of weeks. So
- 46:43Speaker 1: we're doing a signing at the Weed Shop, which is
- 46:46Speaker 1: the home of Jason Me and Jason Muse and two
- 46:49Speaker 1: cover artists Man Captain Ridman and Dark Knight Returns. But
- 46:53Speaker 1: it's at the weed Shop, and people like, why aren't
- 46:55Speaker 1: you going to a comic store? Because the weed Shop
- 46:57Speaker 1: is where Jay and Silent Bob deliver for is that's
- 47:01Speaker 1: our business. We opened a business two months ago. We
- 47:04Speaker 1: delivery service called Jane Sold Bob Deliver. There's billboards like
- 47:08Speaker 1: all over the valley.
- 47:08Speaker 5: And one yeah for real.
- 47:11Speaker 1: I mean I used to sell weed it for fake
- 47:13Speaker 1: and movies, but now the economy is so bad and
- 47:16Speaker 1: I can't get a job in movies anymore. I'm selling
- 47:18Speaker 1: it for real. You may find me and Jay flat
- 47:22Speaker 1: out delivering to you. Things get really bad, but right now, yeah,
- 47:26Speaker 1: Jane sound Bob delivery.
- 47:27Speaker 3: But you've had your own we like products stores before.
- 47:31Speaker 1: We have before the cave are now this right here,
- 47:35Speaker 1: my friends, is the new, new, newest Jeter is the
- 47:39Speaker 1: brand that I'm aligned with now. And this is our
- 47:42Speaker 1: new strain. It's called Jane Solid Bob's Banana Hammock.
- 47:47Speaker 17: It is.
- 47:48Speaker 1: It is the taste of here, like you want to
- 47:51Speaker 1: smell we inhale in yeah time something that was the
- 47:59Speaker 1: long caveat joints you could smell as well.
- 48:02Speaker 4: Yeah, And I smoked it and then the somehow the
- 48:05Speaker 4: ground became vertical.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that was that snoogns man.
- 48:09Speaker 6: That snoop is going to open it up.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Take a smiff right.
- 48:13Speaker 5: Right right, a thing or two.
- 48:16Speaker 3: Oh Lord, back to smoking weed.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Huh, heaven you gave up in this administration. How would
- 48:22Speaker 1: I have not been smoking weed all this time?
- 48:24Speaker 3: But I'm saying, like you gave it up for a while.
- 48:25Speaker 1: I said I was going to get up for fifteen years.
- 48:28Speaker 1: I smoked for fifteen years. I'm gonna give it up
- 48:30Speaker 1: for the next fifteen And I made it about a
- 48:32Speaker 1: year and I felt accomplished with that year, felt fourteen
- 48:36Speaker 1: years shy. But whatever.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Well, Kevin Smith is here again doing a signing of
- 48:40Speaker 3: his comic officially sanctioned through Marvel. And it looks. It
- 48:45Speaker 3: looks great, man, it's sold out really really high. Say
- 48:48Speaker 3: that really yeah?
- 48:50Speaker 1: I mean if it worked, they only do like a
- 48:52Speaker 1: certain number of copies. I think, print up, they get
- 48:54Speaker 1: pre orders, and then they boost a number on top
- 48:56Speaker 1: of that and go like, that's what we're going to make.
- 48:58Speaker 3: And so there's going to be no more. They're going
- 49:01Speaker 3: to do another run of them. They are going to
- 49:02Speaker 3: do any probably want to leave money on the table.
- 49:05Speaker 3: People want my second Economy.
- 49:07Speaker 1: My second book, like I did a for DC a
- 49:11Speaker 1: month and a half ago. Bizarro year None Issue one
- 49:14Speaker 1: also sold that and they did a second print. So
- 49:16Speaker 1: back I got back to back sell out at.
- 49:19Speaker 3: The Weed Shop seventy ninety five Hollywood Boulevard tomorrow at
- 49:23Speaker 3: four pm. Meet Jay and Silent Bob themselves.
- 49:27Speaker 1: That you guys gave it the jar backs.
- 49:29Speaker 2: I don't know why.
- 49:29Speaker 5: He literally took it out.
- 49:34Speaker 1: Feel free. I mean, just attribute amongst yourself.
- 49:37Speaker 3: You just broke my heart.
- 49:38Speaker 5: You took it from my hands.
- 49:39Speaker 1: Six people here, there's five joints. Somebody is going to lose.
- 49:48Speaker 3: Kevin Smith is here.
- 49:51Speaker 5: He's technically. Yeah, yeah, you're not an employee right now, marriage.
- 50:00Speaker 1: I would like to win all four seconds ruin everybody
- 50:02Speaker 1: else's weekend.
- 50:03Speaker 3: He's doing a signing Richard Jason, muse So, Jay and
- 50:07Speaker 3: Silent Bob and a couple of people that are also involved.
- 50:10Speaker 6: Like what you say one of the artists.
- 50:11Speaker 1: So the cover art we have exclusive. There have been
- 50:14Speaker 1: seven covers for this comic book. Two of them are Stash,
- 50:17Speaker 1: Secret Stash exclusives. Come all the way from back East
- 50:20Speaker 1: from my comic book store, Jay and sal about Secret Stash.
- 50:22Speaker 1: The artist Captain Ridman and the other artists.
- 50:25Speaker 6: On his license. Is that what it says that it says.
- 50:31Speaker 1: They are both going to be signing along with us
- 50:33Speaker 1: as well. Yeah.
- 50:34Speaker 3: So it's a signing of his new comic cuts called
- 50:36Speaker 3: a Jay's of Future Past. It's going to be at
- 50:38Speaker 3: the Weed Shop seventy ninety five Hollywood Boulevard. That is tomorrow,
- 50:42Speaker 3: Thursday at four pm.
- 50:45Speaker 1: You're welcome for feeding two birds with one seed. You
- 50:49Speaker 1: pick up your comics, you grab your weed. There you go.
- 50:52Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, like, no more to stop
- 50:54Speaker 1: one stop.
- 50:55Speaker 6: Yeah, you're a man of convenience.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Try and trying to help out Los Angeles.
- 50:58Speaker 3: So Kevin Smith is here. Always great to have Kevin in.
- 51:01Speaker 3: And now we know Kevin very well. You've been a
- 51:03Speaker 3: guest a number of times on the show.
- 51:05Speaker 1: I wanted to try to myself family.
- 51:07Speaker 3: Yeah, well, and you are.
- 51:08Speaker 1: I consider myself the kind of guy you can test
- 51:10Speaker 1: a new segment.
- 51:12Speaker 3: And I'm glad you said, because this is like a
- 51:14Speaker 3: kind of just a rapid fire thing. I'm gonna throw
- 51:16Speaker 3: some questions out and I'm gonna see the.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Wrong guy for this.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll try. I'll try some of the rules be
- 51:21Speaker 1: here by seven number one. Yeah, we're gonna because it's
- 51:27Speaker 1: people a long anecdotal response.
- 51:29Speaker 3: Just I think this can gives people a little more
- 51:32Speaker 3: insight into like I wanna try this with with with guests,
- 51:35Speaker 3: not that we have a ton of guests, but like,
- 51:36Speaker 3: you know, we get somebody. A friend of ours, Tony
- 51:39Speaker 3: just told me that his son, who just graduated high school,
- 51:42Speaker 3: is a newly obsessed fan of Kevin Smith.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Like he's just that reprehensible. The division of youth and family.
- 51:52Speaker 3: And they're gonna go see you when you're at the
- 51:54Speaker 3: pageant in Saint Louis this fall.
- 51:57Speaker 1: I've been, but the youth pat so many times you're always.
- 52:00Speaker 3: Find it's kind of like a radio show, Like every
- 52:01Speaker 3: day there's new listeners.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Yeah, that's wild man. Anytime somebody's like, oh, there's a
- 52:05Speaker 1: teenager likes your stuff, you know, first I get over
- 52:08Speaker 1: the epstein of it all and I'm like, that's really cool.
- 52:12Speaker 6: All right.
- 52:12Speaker 3: So Kevin Smith, we're gonna put ninety seconds on the
- 52:15Speaker 3: clock and we're gonna we're gonna see how many of
- 52:17Speaker 3: these we can get to. They're really kind of easy
- 52:20Speaker 3: either or type of things. You're ready for it, We'll
- 52:22Speaker 3: see how we do. Brevity think brevity? All right, here
- 52:26Speaker 3: we go.
- 52:27Speaker 6: Would you rather own a batmobile or a lightsaberile?
- 52:31Speaker 3: Would you rather meet your hero or become someone's hero?
- 52:35Speaker 1: Become someone's here?
- 52:37Speaker 3: Would you rather have one hour with George Lucas or
- 52:41Speaker 3: one hour with stan Lee?
- 52:44Speaker 1: Stan Lee because he's gone would be amazing?
- 52:47Speaker 2: You know?
- 52:48Speaker 3: Do you prefer calling or texting?
- 52:51Speaker 1: Texting?
- 52:52Speaker 3: When it comes to weed? Do you prefer indica or sativa?
- 52:55Speaker 6: Indica?
- 52:56Speaker 1: But it all smokes, that's all green.
- 53:00Speaker 6: Kids.
- 53:02Speaker 3: What's a food you miss the most because you've changed
- 53:06Speaker 3: your diet dramatically?
- 53:08Speaker 1: I mean, I hate to throw it out there because
- 53:09Speaker 1: people get real defensive. But I am vegan, and what
- 53:12Speaker 1: I probably missed the most from from non vegan world
- 53:17Speaker 1: is turkey.
- 53:18Speaker 3: Turkey.
- 53:19Speaker 1: That's the one thing I don't think they've nailed. They
- 53:21Speaker 1: get burgers down, they get chicken, but turkey they can't approximate. Yeah,
- 53:25Speaker 1: that's a turkey, don't coat it.
- 53:26Speaker 3: Do you prefer loyalty or honesty?
- 53:29Speaker 1: Oh well, I mean I lie for a living some loyalty.
- 53:36Speaker 3: It's just like non stop charat East Coast or Hollywood.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Wow Wow, Okay, I've been out of here so long
- 53:50Speaker 1: that it might be Hollywood what I'm saying. Like, I
- 53:53Speaker 1: come back East Coast once a week. I once a month. Rather,
- 53:56Speaker 1: I got a movie theater there and the comic book store,
- 53:59Speaker 1: and I was just there doing shows. We did a
- 54:01Speaker 1: watch with keV he Man and then I interviewed Lloyd
- 54:04Speaker 1: Kaufman for three hours. So I love my Ice Coast roots.
- 54:08Speaker 1: I go back to Jersey all the time. But there
- 54:11Speaker 1: is something I'm very proud of the fact that my
- 54:14Speaker 1: hand prints and footprints are in the cement at the
- 54:16Speaker 1: Groman's Chinese Theater four Court. That made me feel like
- 54:19Speaker 1: I was a part of this community.
- 54:21Speaker 3: Yeah, that was a big deal because we I hosted
- 54:23Speaker 3: Joe Coy's uh ceremony ceremony. Yeah, it's a huge thing
- 54:27Speaker 3: and it was really cool.
- 54:28Speaker 6: It was cool.
- 54:29Speaker 3: Yeah, because that's something you know, whether you have ever
- 54:32Speaker 3: spent any time in Hollywood, like everybody knows about that.
- 54:34Speaker 3: That's getting a star.
- 54:37Speaker 1: In real estate with like Eastwood, Tarantino American. Yeah, it's
- 54:43Speaker 1: kind of dope.
- 54:44Speaker 3: Did great John ninety seconds?
- 54:46Speaker 2: Hit them all?
- 54:48Speaker 3: Madn't get them all. They didn't get them all. But
- 54:49Speaker 3: there's no reason to get to them all.
- 54:51Speaker 6: See how many?
- 54:52Speaker 3: But yeah, yeah, ninety seconds.
- 54:53Speaker 1: I'll tell you for the for the inaugural sale, I
- 54:56Speaker 1: think we did.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Now, who's com.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Who's going to be the next guy?
- 55:01Speaker 6: I have no idea who you could possibly throw it at.
- 55:03Speaker 3: Uh, Greg fitz Simmons, the comedian, great foot, great fitz Simmons.
- 55:07Speaker 6: He just hit me up yesterday.
- 55:09Speaker 1: He's funny.
- 55:10Speaker 3: Yeah, he's cool. I love I love Greg.
- 55:11Speaker 1: He's going to try to get shocked, you know, shack
- 55:14Speaker 1: no the basketball play? Yeah, get him in here.
- 55:17Speaker 3: I and burg Chreischer are really tied down, may put
- 55:19Speaker 3: it in a word. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I thought when
- 55:23Speaker 3: you said, like what food you missed the most? I
- 55:25Speaker 3: would have sworn to you. We're gonna say cheese now
- 55:27Speaker 3: because they got vegan cheese.
- 55:29Speaker 6: Is it good?
- 55:30Speaker 1: It is good enough?
- 55:31Speaker 5: Okay?
- 55:31Speaker 3: The questions does it it can?
- 55:34Speaker 4: Okay?
- 55:36Speaker 1: Lately it's gotten better, like they've been perfecting cheese. Because
- 55:39Speaker 1: like when I when I've been vegan now eight going
- 55:42Speaker 1: on nine years, when I got in it, they did
- 55:46Speaker 1: not have it down to science. But now like I
- 55:48Speaker 1: just got a case adia from from what used to
- 55:52Speaker 1: be veggie grill, veggie grill plant whatever they call it now,
- 55:55Speaker 1: veggie grill down the street, and man, it was just
- 55:59Speaker 1: like cheese and it had a good pull to it. Now,
- 56:03Speaker 1: whenever I say this to a non vegan and they
- 56:06Speaker 1: try it, that like you have lost your mind? Respective
- 56:09Speaker 1: have You've.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Been eating garbage for so long?
- 56:11Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 56:11Speaker 3: You know what I mean, that you get used to
- 56:13Speaker 3: the garbage taste and that somebody else was eating the
- 56:15Speaker 3: garbage saved my life?
- 56:17Speaker 1: Would he?
- 56:17Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I understand why you're doing it, but I
- 56:19Speaker 3: I it's it's amazing that man, you have really stuck
- 56:22Speaker 3: to it. Some people they they change whether they're doing
- 56:25Speaker 3: the gastric bypass to lose a bunch of weight and
- 56:27Speaker 3: they stick on that whole lifestyle for a while and
- 56:30Speaker 3: then they eventually.
- 56:31Speaker 6: You know, eat through the gastric bypass.
- 56:33Speaker 3: It had it's hard to stay on something.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Man, my old man, like when I was growing up
- 56:38Speaker 1: and into my adulthood, would you know, he was diabetic
- 56:42Speaker 1: and he would constantly have heart problems, stroke problems, and
- 56:46Speaker 1: when a thing happened, he would be in a hospital.
- 56:48Speaker 1: He's like, I'm not change. And then for like a
- 56:50Speaker 1: good month or two months he stayed with some sort
- 56:53Speaker 1: of program and diminished. But then once he felt safe,
- 56:58Speaker 1: he just you know, went back to his old waist.
- 57:00Speaker 1: And when I had my heart attack the doctor the
- 57:02Speaker 1: next morning, he said, like I said, when do I
- 57:05Speaker 1: get to go home? He goes, you go home as
- 57:06Speaker 1: soon as you've seen the nutritionists. I say, you kidnete,
- 57:09Speaker 1: I wasn't even here twenty six hours. He goes, and
- 57:12Speaker 1: look look how fast we got you in and out.
- 57:14Speaker 1: He's going. But that's the danger, I said, why, and
- 57:17Speaker 1: he goes, because of how easy it was. Time was
- 57:19Speaker 1: we were doing what we did to you. We'd have
- 57:21Speaker 1: to crack your ribs and you'd mend in the hospital
- 57:23Speaker 1: for months and you know, you went through something you'd
- 57:26Speaker 1: want to change because you didn't want to do that again.
- 57:28Speaker 1: He goes, but look at you. You're gonna be out
- 57:30Speaker 1: in twenty six hours, no scars whatsoever other than like
- 57:33Speaker 1: a small ephemeral artery one. He's like, if I'm lucky,
- 57:37Speaker 1: I'll see it again. He's going because most patients don't
- 57:40Speaker 1: change their life. And he made me meet with the nutritionists.
- 57:42Speaker 1: And that's when I wound up going vegan.
- 57:44Speaker 3: Oh, we're glad that you're here. I mean, it worked
- 57:46Speaker 3: out and you've you've I mean, god, how much weight total?
- 57:49Speaker 8: Uh?
- 57:50Speaker 1: At my heaviest. I know this because I was working
- 57:52Speaker 1: on the book all night at my heaviest. Like at
- 57:54Speaker 1: one point I was like, oh man, I never want
- 57:57Speaker 1: to weigh my area code. And then I hit three
- 58:00Speaker 1: two three, and then I went up to three thirty
- 58:02Speaker 1: when I had the heart attack, though I was three
- 58:06Speaker 1: hundred even because I'd cut sugar out and stuff. And
- 58:09Speaker 1: then after the heart attack, what.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Do you wait?
- 58:10Speaker 3: Now you're two hundred.
- 58:12Speaker 6: Wow.
- 58:13Speaker 3: Goals.
- 58:15Speaker 1: But that was just and honestly, kids like that's that.
- 58:19Speaker 1: I got to give most of the credit to Going Vegan.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Nobody wants to hear that, but it makes common sense.
- 58:25Speaker 1: When you remove all the fun things and all the
- 58:29Speaker 1: you know, things that are derived from animals, your options
- 58:33Speaker 1: are limited. You just diminished. You can't replace it.
- 58:35Speaker 3: Because you don't want to eat. When this stuff tastes
- 58:37Speaker 3: like that, you don't want to eat.
- 58:38Speaker 1: And also it's just they don't that too. When I
- 58:43Speaker 1: went on the potato diet, that's what I felt like.
- 58:46Speaker 1: I was I could do the stand out of my head.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Two days in, I was.
- 58:48Speaker 3: Like, hey, let me ask you about you just posted
- 58:54Speaker 3: the other day about Oliver Tree. Yeah, Oliver Tree is
- 58:57Speaker 3: a guy that we had as a excuse me as
- 58:59Speaker 3: a guest on the show one time, and he was cool.
- 59:02Speaker 3: He was fun and you know, I but that was
- 59:05Speaker 3: kind of the extent of my you know, insight on
- 59:07Speaker 3: Oliver Tree. I didn't know too much about him, wasn't
- 59:10Speaker 3: really kind of following along and all the different things.
- 59:12Speaker 3: It's crazy how many people have come out. Yeah, people
- 59:15Speaker 3: that I know and respect and I like their work
- 59:18Speaker 3: and they're super creative people who really loved this guy.
- 59:21Speaker 3: And you've made a really nice, thoughtful, kind of a
- 59:25Speaker 3: very very touching post about your experience with Oliver Tree.
- 59:28Speaker 6: I wonder if you could speak about that.
- 59:30Speaker 1: A lovely kid man like, and you're right, it's I
- 59:34Speaker 1: too have been remarking on how many people have been like,
- 59:41Speaker 1: I love this guy. You know what I'm saying. He
- 59:43Speaker 1: was just everybody. He was the Internet's friend. He was funny.
- 59:46Speaker 1: He was always trying to make you laugh. He wasn't
- 59:49Speaker 1: a prankster in the way of like, I hate this kid,
- 59:51Speaker 1: you know, but he had fun with his persona, a
- 59:55Speaker 1: persona I was not aware of, yeah, until we made
- 59:59Speaker 1: Paradise Record Logic the hip hop artist Bobby he made
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: his first flick and he asked me if I would
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: edit us, I'd love to edit it for you. So
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: I went out to Oregon where they shot it, so
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I was on set and then you know, then I'd
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: leave set and go cut all the footage I had
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: and stuff. So my first exposure to him was to
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Oliver was that clip that's up on my Instagram right
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: now where he gives a flat out genius performance man like.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: This is the first piece of work I get to
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: see of him, and he does play. He's one of
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: two guys who like in the middle of the movie,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Logic switches and it becomes a heist flick. You know,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: what is a simple hangout at a record shop movie
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: becomes a heist and hostage flick, and Oliver is one
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: of the hostage takers.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: And.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: It plays one who's kind of not there with it, completely,
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: not very good at the job. He has issues, he
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: has asthma, and he plays it so peak. Man like
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: this kid, I told him when I met him, because
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: I was cutting the scene dying laughing so hard, man crying,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: and I would send logic videos myself just with the
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: scene on my phone laughing in the background so hard
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: and stuff. So I said, hey, man, like, I never
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: do this, but can you introduce me to that kid?
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: And so I went to set and he was like, Oliver,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: this is Kevin and he knew some stuff I'd done
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: the past or whatever, but I blew him up. This
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: is nice about like being in this business and sometimes
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: the people whose work really touches you, you get it
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: face to face moment and you get to tell them yeah,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: stuff like that. So I told him, And I wasn't
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: talking about the breath of your work on the internet
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: is literally talking about dude, your daily were one of
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: the best things I ever seen. Like you're going to
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: be huge, Like you're gonna work in Cohen Brothers.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: Movies and't put me in one of your movies.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: He did, he was put me in one of yours.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I was like done and done. So I mean, his
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: law is far bigger than the loss of me getting
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: to put him in a movie that would have been fun.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: But like, this kid was a light man, Like he
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: brought something to the table and made people happy. Think
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: about how many people jump online fundamentally to make people
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: unhappy because their stocking trade is how they're turning. This
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: is a kid who just got online just to make people.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: He was cool, He was fun. We did a fun
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: bit with him when he was here. A guy used
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: to work on the show gave him a bowl cut
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: and you know, because he was rocking that bowl cut
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: at the time.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: But he was just so smart.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: We did this other video where I'm like, hey, Oliver,
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: make me the best sandwich in the world, and we
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: just got a bunch of items and that was the
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: only thing I said to him, And he just came
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: up with this whole backstory on how his grandmother, like yeah,
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: taught him how to make this sandwich and all this
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: he had gone to.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: Like clown College.
- 1:02:43Speaker 6: He like always had a story, a story.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: It's not surprising and so many people are like shouting
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: him out because he like touched so many different parts
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: of art.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Yeah, visual music, yeah, you know, acting, films, legit songs,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Yeah that have like thirty seven million views like YouTube,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: and yeah, so I mean most cats I'm well aware
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: of know him from his internet work. That's something I
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: caught up on after the movie. But do yourself a
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: favor and check out Paradise Records. Is wonderful first film,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: but his performance is absolute bliss and you could see
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: this kid was gonna be big.
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: Well, Kevin Smith is here. He's got his signing of
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: his new comic book called Jays of Future Past. He
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: and Jason Muse and a couple of the artists who
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: worked on the on the book itself. You can see
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: them at the Weed Shop seventy ninety five Hollywood Boulevard.
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: That's tomorrow at four pm. All the details and stuff
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: are on Kevin's social media.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Nothing sports Dang with a G.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: Jeff Garcia, Kevin Smith. Jeff Garcia, Jeff Garcia, Kevin Smith, Hello, Kevin,
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: No hockey news in sports for this morning. Sorry about that,
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: but what are we talking about.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: It's still not basketball? No, no, no, basketball is over
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: as well. What is today? Today's Wednesday? Yes, tomorrow they're
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: having that ticker tape. Yes, that would be there. When
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: I woke up the next morning, which I guess was Sunday,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: the streets were already close and I was like.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: Are you ready?
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: That was the Puerto Rican Day parade. They were like, no, no, no,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Thursday's a ticker.
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: Yeah, all right, let's go ahead and start with the Angels.
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: They put a butt whooping on the d Backs yesterday.
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: There's a fly ball straight away center failed.
- 1:04:29Speaker 6: This one's a long way.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Told the wall.
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: Angels one, it's nothing. Same two teams today at twelve
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: forty onto the Dodgers. They beat the Rays won nothing yesterday.
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: All they needed was an o tiny home run. Same
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: two teams today at twelve ten World Cup. Yesterday's winter
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: winners included France, Norway, Austria and Argentina. Speaking of Argentina,
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: Messi had a hat trick.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: Lanel Messi Leane Messi first career World Cup hat trick ties.
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: They all tie goal scoring record. I don't love that
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: goal call.
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: Yeah, it's better in Spanish so much better in Spanish,
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: but he tried. I'll give him an a for effort.
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: Today Portugal plays at ten am, England at one, Columbia
- 1:05:11Speaker 7: at seven.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: I'm Jeff G. And that's your sow.
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: Sports, Jeff.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: Kevin Smith.
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: Show Show. Kevin Smith is here.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: That FIFA is happening right now, right, Yeah, yeah, well people,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: I guess a lot of people flying in for it
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: from other countries.
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: Yeah, all over.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: What they're doing is they're flying and they going to
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: New York. They're staying in New York, but the games
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: are like in Jersey, Jersey, and so in their heads
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: they're like, well, New Jersey's next New York. And they're
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: trying to walk. Oh, it is impossible. It's gonna say
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: it's it is virtually impossible to walk from Manhattan to
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: East Brotherford, New Jersey without using a tunnel or a bridge,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: and they or freeway or what we call the turnpike,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: and they really frown.
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: Kevin Smith is here. And if you follow Kevin on
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: social media and you see all the different things, one
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: of the things he's spending a lot of his time
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: on is this movie theater that he saved from his
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: it's his childhood movie Theater in New Jersey.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Smile.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: It was going to be the movies. It was going
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: to be condos and you do a lot of really
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: cool things there. I kind of feel, and I wanted
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: to get your your take on this. You hear a
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: lot about you know, what's what's gonna happen with the
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: movie theater. Is the movie theater going to continue to
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: be a thing or is it done? I think the
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: way that you're doing it, these experiences, people go there
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: and it's just more than just going and grabbing popcorn
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: and watching something.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: That seems to be the currency of the now. In
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: the future world of AI, everything is easy to fake
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: and whatnot. People now want live and going forward, they
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: feel like that's going to be the big thing. So
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: for years now I've I've relied on live, Like, I
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: don't just release a movie in theater. Cost too much
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: money and we'll probably die on the vine. However, if
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: I take it out, strate strategically and bring it to
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: my audience and stuff like that, and show up with
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: the movie, so I'm there backing it as well. You're
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: getting two shows for one. You know, you're getting like
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: a live show and you're getting the movie, you're getting
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: a Q and A afterwards, and it seems like that's
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: what everyone's gonna have to drive towards. So I don't
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: think in our lifetime we're gonna see a lot of
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: multiplexes built ever. Again, I think right now is what
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: we got down's apparently gonna shrink from there. Do I
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: think the movie going experience will ever go away? Absolutely not.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Do you like records, they're always be enthusiasts.
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: Where the record stores other than like vintage kind of shops.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: In the cities and whatnot. But also think about this,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: like when you had theater back in the day and
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: the advent of cinema threatened theater, people like, oh theater
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: is gonna go away. It just got more expensive. Exactly,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: movies are just gonna get more expensive in order to
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: make the rent. They can be like, all right, well,
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: if you want your movie, you want your cinema. You
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: want to enjoy what you enjoyed years ago as a kid,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: And when you want it the old way, they're going
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: to make it. Pay through the nose thirty forty fifty
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: bucks for that experience right now, movie ticket at our
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: movie theater. We held the line for years at ten bucks.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: We finally had to go up to twelve bucks for
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: a night show and stuff during the day, it's like
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: seven you fat cats, I know, get rich, get rich
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: on a non profit movie theater.
- 1:08:23Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: What do you think about movies being incorporated into things
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: like the sphere and causem like.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Brilliant, like fantastic. I mean, I know, like with The
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Wizard of Oz at the Sphere there was some consternation
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: about like they created dwarves.
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: What does that word mean?
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: I'm assuming something negative.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: They were upset. Yeah, and I said dwarves. I should
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: have said munchkins. They added munchkins to the film, like
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: in order to make it go all the way around,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: they had to add stuff that wasn't there. So naturally
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: people are purists, are like, I don't want that. But
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: the idea of, you know, one more place to watch
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: a movie, particularly a movie like that which is celebrated
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: and you know, when we were kids, they put it
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: on TV once a year. It was such a big deal,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Like makes sense for a venue of that size, what
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: else are they going to do there? For heaven's sake?
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: Yeah, and then the visual and I would love to
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: see clerks on that giant well, the cause of people.
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: They're doing Harry Potter stuff. That's really really cool.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: That makes sense, right. You take the movies everybody loves
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: and loves seeing in the theater and you present it
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: in new for that's what forty X kind of does,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: you know, and uh, the screen X experience. They take
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: the movie and they just amp it up, yeah, to
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: make it like for the people hanging off the edges, going,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: I don't I could watch a movie at home, but
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: it's like, yeah, but can your chair come to life
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: and shake you? And stuff like that.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: It's fun. Like going back to the nostalgia thing. I
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: went for the Back to the Future anniverse where this
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: past October they had a back in theaters and say,
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: it's been forever since the eighties since I saw in
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: the theater and it's my favorite movie of all time,
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: the original It's my favorite movie of all time. And
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: that was that was cool and I made it always
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: to go to the theater.
- 1:09:59Speaker 6: They always do well when they put stuff up, like oh,
- 1:10:01Speaker 6: we're gonna put Jaws back for summer. Yeah, people go
- 1:10:03Speaker 6: to that.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Yeah. I've noticed a lot of cats, like for years
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: I've been and I'm not saying they stole the idea
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: for me. But for years I've been out there tub
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: thumping with my own movies like Bring the Mouths. But
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: I just saw to stand by me kids are like
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: out on a tool to watch a movie and then
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: they chit chat afterwards, and then I'm like, you know what,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: good for them? But yeah, I'd like to whip my
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: beak a little off that stand by me money because
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: you know those screens.
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: Us so yeah, well, you know, you know, Kevin, You've always,
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: you know, gone about things your own way to get
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: things done, like there's an obstacle, not originality, there's an
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: obstacle you figure away, like, oh well, how can we
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: do there? So many people just go, well, that's the world.
- 1:10:45Speaker 6: We live in or it is what it is.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: I hate those answers we get around here in the
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: corporate world and it's like no, no, no, don't just
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: accept the no, ask the why, all right, why can't
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: this be done? And you've done a really good job
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: with that. I just saw something recent that was interesting
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: with with clerks and when you feel because so many
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: people thought and the story you ran with for a
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: long time, the black and white, the black and white
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: thing about oh well, it was an artistic choice to
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: put it in black white because that's what the surveillance
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: video from the store would have seen. Like it's I
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: had nothing to do with it at all.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: It was when we made the flick we made, we
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: shot black and white because it was inexpensive. In order
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: to shoot color, we would have had to rent a
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: completely different light package or a light package. You know.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: I was content to use the fluorescence.
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: From inside the store.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: But Dave Klein, who was our DP, who ps first
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: of all DP. He grew up to be the cinematographer
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: of Mandalorian and Grogu, the guy shot clerks. What a glow.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: So Dave says to me, he goes, if we shoot
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: under these lights at the pallor everyone's complexion, it can
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: be green. I said, why, he goes, because that's what
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: you get with these lights. He said, we need tungsten lights.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: I was like, I can't afford to run a new
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: lighting package. And he goes, well, that's what happens. What
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: happens if we shooting black and white. He goes, well,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: then there's no color whatsoever, so nobody looks green. And
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: so I was like, all right, let's shoot in black
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: and white. So it was purely a cost decision. And
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: so when the movie went out and played at festivals
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: and whatnot and started getting reviewed, like one of the
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: reviews I read said, the film is brilliantly shot in
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: black and white, as if from the perspective of the
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: store security camera. And from then point on, whenever I
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: did interviews like why black and white, I was like, well,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: I wanted to make it feel like the store security camera.
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: I think he told that story on our friend Jim
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: Kurr's show.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Jim Errman, you want a legend New York.
- 1:12:42Speaker 6: New York.
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: I was watching the video from your appearance there ATLJ
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: What is he now? He's like four point three, Yeah,
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: that's right.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: I told him I was watching The Soprano did a
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: rewatch The Sopranos, which holds up absolutely, unbelievably well man.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: But there's one episode where like in the background, you're like.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Yeah, well, Kevin Smith is here. I want to talk
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: about your movies when we come back. I've seen a
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: lot of people talk about or do things like this,
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: and I thought it was pretty fun, no doubt. Just
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: did one where they had everybody, all the you know,
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: Gwen and all the people have no doubt like the
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: other band mates in a line, and they would put
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: up like two different songs and they had like pick
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: maybe step to the left or step to the right.
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: And I thought, just an insight from the people who
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: made it.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: So, looking at some of your movies and I want
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: to go see, like, because there's so many to choose from,
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: I wanted the narrow it down because we could be
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: here all day with how many movies you've done. But
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: all right, so I'm gonna give you six. You have
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: to pick two more to go into what we're gonna
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: do after the break, all right. So Clerk's made the
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: list because I went based on this is a ranking
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: of what they say from all your movies have the
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: biggest cultural impact.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: So Clark's was was you know on that?
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: Still?
- 1:14:00Speaker 6: What's that?
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: I'm still eating out on Clerk?
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: Sure, right, but I'm saying, like, so the and these
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: are in no particular order, Okay, I have Chasing Amy
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: on here, so Clerk's chasing Amy. I have mal Rats
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: on here, Zach and Mary making Porno is on here,
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: Dogma clearly on there, one of my favorite movies of
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: all time. And then clerk's two because it doesn't matter
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: what okay, two more, so I've all do wild cards.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: Two wild card spots.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with uh, Tusk and Clerks three.
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: Tusk and Clerks three. All right, you'll see where we're
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: going with this when we come back from the break.
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: You can hang out right, you're not Is.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: This one of these ninety seconds things refused to be
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: timed again? No no, no, no, no no no, I
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: got plounced.
- 1:14:44Speaker 6: All right, cool more, Kevin Smith.
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: Next, hang it, fellow comrades and mediocrity. I want you
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: to listen very Kevin.
- 1:14:51Speaker 6: You can all go straight to.
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Have nice I like an idiot, is not there.
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: Kevin Smith. I don't think you're gonna think this is
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: very fair and allow a lot of people like artist
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: types like yourself. Well, it's like having to choose between
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: your children. These are your children, these films in your case,
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: or songs from your band. That's exactly what we're asking
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: to do. We've come up little bracket style with different movies,
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: and you got to pick two. You threw Tusk in
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: there and then and then Clerk's three, right, and so
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: i'mna go down the list. The bracket style so first round,
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: and you have to pick one that moves on to
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: the end. We'll eventually get down to one Kevin Smith movie,
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: all done by your own votes.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: So I mean, don't I don't sport. Ever, this sounds
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: like a sport thing like basketball for fake basketball, fantasy football.
- 1:16:02Speaker 6: For fake.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: So this is like that. Yeah, you know, I'm seeing
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: a grid in my head.
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: Even as a kid. You never played sports, never, never,
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: not once.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: I'm seeing is more based on a d C comics
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: group bringing it down the ultimate hero.
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: All right, all right, so uh here, well we'll start
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: tough round number one Clerks O G. Clerks or Tusk.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: That is tough because you're talking about two works of
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: striking originality, one dent to the culture more than the other.
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: Okay, but this is your own personal We're just talking you.
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: There's no considered nobody else's opinion. This is just Kevin Smith,
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: Kevin Smith movies.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: Like which movie could I watch more?
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: Whichever? Like like again, this is which whichever one? Only
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: one can move on?
- 1:16:58Speaker 5: Which one are you saving?
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Oh my god, now you put it like that. Yeah,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: no pressure, Well, I mean Clerk's humble Bragg is in
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: the Library of Congress. It's protected and the motion picture.
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: Fault, so this has no consequence on anything.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: Just so you know, I just wanted to say that
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: anyone didn't know that the government has deemed my first
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: film so important that.
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: They have if you protected, if you went with They're
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: not going to take Clerks out of the Library of Congress.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: As well with this administration. You never know. I'm gonna say,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna go old school. I'm gonna go clerks Man.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Clerks long lived the nineties, gen X forever now menas.
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: I can't remember if you like or hate the word zeitgeists.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: I know you've used it a few times, but no,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: I just learned about it, like maybe a year ago. Right,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: That's why you're mad, so mad. I haven't had this
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: word before.
- 1:17:56Speaker 6: This word out in the zeitgeist. I feel like makes
- 1:18:01Speaker 6: so many lists, gets talked about so much because it's
- 1:18:04Speaker 6: written about so much, because.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: It's so disturbing and weird your lips to God's ears.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: I hope that's the case. I I know it is
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: found an audience and found respect that was not there
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: on opening day. I assure you.
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: I read those reviews.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: They were pretty unkind, But yeah, I as much as
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: I love Tusk, I gotta go old school Clerks. I
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: can't get nowhere without it.
- 1:18:26Speaker 3: Other first round matchup mal Rats Mall Rats or Clerks Too.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: Mallrats I love Clerks Too is my one of my
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: favorite films I've ever made. But mal Rats is a
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: snapshot of a time and place that now acts as
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: a kind of a historical document. Kids don't go to
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: the malls like that.
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: Yeah, true, Well, Menace might argue that. Yeah, he'll argue that.
- 1:18:51Speaker 6: The mall hap.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Malls that happen there are. But and then there's what
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: you're talking about, a ghost town. Yeah, I've been to both,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: and it's like when we were kids, you count on
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: every weekend them all being packed, and now it's you know, scattershot.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: Dogma or Zach and Mary make a porno Dogma Dogma movie.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: I really stood the Test of time also has like
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: I mean, not like Zach and Murray doesn't have a
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: pretty all star cast with Seth and Elizabeth. But Dogma,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: come on, Alan Rickman, George Carter.
- 1:19:23Speaker 6: You got it back.
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: That was a whole battle, another battle to navigate, so.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: That's got a side quest to it. You're right, long tail, Yeah, Dogma.
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: All right, Uh, Chasing Amy another one, know Near and
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: Dear to your Heart or Clerk's Three, which you put
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: in there as your wild card.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: I'm going Clerk's Three, Okay. I love Chasing Amy, but
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: it has aged poorly for some folks. That's that movie
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: used to be the umbrella movie, the thing I could
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: always open up if things got bad, like, you know,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: if they were like, eh, we made the Yogas, are
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: like yeah, but at least he made Chasing Yeah. But
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: there's a generation of folks who did not grow up
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: with that movie. That's see that movie as offensive now
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: and you can't really explain. You can try to explain,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: but it won't really be accepted that. It's like, hey,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: this movie was incredibly advanced for its time, Like when
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: it came out, it was very ahead of it.
- 1:20:19Speaker 6: I don't like how people do that. Though.
- 1:20:21Speaker 5: You can't correct the past past.
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: Films or songs or whatever it is totally, but I
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: you know, I also don't want to jump on that
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: train because then you got people going yeah.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: And that's why I love Birth of a Nation.
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: I'm not saying that's active. Kevin Smith on Kevin Smith Movies,
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: Next Round Clerks or mal rats Clerks, Clerks, Yeah, Clerk's
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: three or Dogma Dogma. Now in the final Clerks or Dogma,
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: only one can stand.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: It's the way it should be. Honestly, we always knew
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: it was.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: Gonna come down to this, Clerks Dogma.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: See I want to say dogma, but in the off
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: chance that Jesus is real, I can't risk that. You know,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: I don't want to go up to have it him.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: But I remember the time he was on a Woody show.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: You said dogma was your best word. You go to hell.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: Dogma is a wonderful original movie. But at the end
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: of the day, uh, it's It's the Wizard of Oz
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: dressed up. Clerks is my magic trick. Clerks is the
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: equivalent of me pulling a quarter from behind your ear.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: It never goes old. The amount of credibility that Tusk
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: has afforded me is immense in retrospect. However, the amount
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: of credibility that Clerks has afforded me over a lifetime.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: It's just one of those things that like, because everyone
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: has had a crappy job, even if they haven't worked
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: in a convenience store, it I think winds up being
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: the most identifiable thing I've ever done, and I did
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: it when I was a part of everybody else. Now
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: like I'm a filmmaker for a living. I breathe verified
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: air and so and my movies are like, you know
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: what if Jane Solid Bob went to Mars but back
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: then boots on the ground, I was behind that same counter,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: So I was essaying life behind the counter through you know,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: a fictional filter. So that movie I think has the
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: most authenticity to it. And it's the one that, let's
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: be honest, I'm my gravestone will be like, yeah he
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: made Clerks, and I got to mention the other ones.
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: We'll do that one.
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: So there you go, guys, Clerks.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: Yeah, we always knew there was there a doubt. Did
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: you think for a second?
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: I wasn't sure because I mean, I mean there's so
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: many movies that I have had such a you know,
- 1:22:52Speaker 3: impact just on you personally or the stories that kind
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: of go behind it for whatever reason.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: And the one is the the lever upon which folkrum
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: of my entire career rest.
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: Sure, So yeah, it makes sense always going to be Clerks. Yeah,
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: somebody said I own a DVD copy of Dogma. It's
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: my comfort movie.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: Thank you recent recent purchase perhaps or the old DVD uh.
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: In that movie, Atlantis Moore set one of Sammy's favorites.
- 1:23:18Speaker 6: Do you have any good?
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: Yeah, do you have any good? Uh?
- 1:23:20Speaker 6: Atlantis Moore set story from.
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: Here that time.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: I mean, it's not great Atlanta story, but it is
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: like a real Atlanta story.
- 1:23:28Speaker 6: So we're we're in.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Post on Dogma and she's getting ready to write the
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: song that closes out Dogma. It's called Still Really Beautiful.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: So I go see her perform and it was in Manhattan.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: I forget which venue. I remember seeing her out here
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: at the Universal Ampitheater. Before that I went away. I
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: can't remember where I saw her. There might have been
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: the zig Field or something like that. So I wanted
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: to see her the night before. I was, you know,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: person in the crowded pretty good tickets as I knew her.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: So then I went to her hotel the next day
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: and she was going to play the song Still for
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: me for the first time. So I get to her
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: room and she's like, how was the show? I said,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: Oh my god, I thought you were awesome, I said,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: but you should talk more, I said, like between songs,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: like you would just say the name of the song,
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: and then you go into it. But like, you're so interesting,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: you should a little storytellers. You remember storytellers.
- 1:24:24Speaker 3: That's what I was pushing.
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: But she like then she was like oh, and then
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: we continue having a conversation. But she's the kind of
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: person that like, you know, if it, if it means something,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: she could come back. She's very authentic. So after like
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: two minutes of further conversation, she went back to it.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: She was like, you know what, Kevin, that really hurt
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: my feelings. I was like, what did She's like, when
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: you said that I should be speaking more between songs,
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: She's gone, like it just felt critical, And I was like,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: I honestly didn't mean it to be critical. I just like,
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: I think you're interesting as hell, and I just I
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: guess I was just thinking if I was the one singing,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: I'd be doing more talking than anything else. But she
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: that like it hit her in some way, like maybe
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: she fell I explaining where I'm like, hey, it is
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: what you gotta do. Meanwhile, she's got like one of
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: the greatest highest selling albums of all time and the
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: guy who made mall rats, you know what you gotta
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: do you go, and I remember that be awkward thinking
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: about that. Whenever I see somebody after a performance, I
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: never tell him the truth.
- 1:25:29Speaker 19: When was the last time you saw Alanison concert?
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: Let me see the last time I saw Landa's play that?
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: Because then she again, yes, so I yeah, I just
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: saw her recently.
- 1:25:42Speaker 19: She talks so much between songs, and now she even
- 1:25:46Speaker 19: has shut up.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: I'm not gonna take credit for it, but perhaps that
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: you know, stuck in her cross forever. She's like, I'll
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: show him. But I have seen like online because people
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: shoot concerts her just like holding a four minute convers.
- 1:26:03Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's full on play in between songs.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: I love that, so so well spoken. So it's like
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: to me, I wasn't saying like you're doing it wrong.
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: I was just like, I would love it if you
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: just talk between songs. Years later, I was, you know,
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: I grew up in Jersey, so Springsteen's in the blood,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: whether you choose him or not. Right, But I went
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: to see Springsteen on Broadway when he was doing that
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: show years ago, and that I was like, now I've
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: been sleeping on this Springsteen my whole life. Because never
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: mind the songs, like you know, the songs I'd heard
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: my whole life. He just talked between each one and
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: he was so damn entertaining. I was like, wow, this
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: guy gets And then I'm like, oh, because he's been
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: in front of audiences for decades now. His storytelling was
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: like unparallel.
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I dig it, I dig it. When there's like
- 1:26:51Speaker 3: you kind of get the story behind the story, the
- 1:26:53Speaker 3: story behind the song, the song that you know, like
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: how all then you it all ties together, like ah,
- 1:26:59Speaker 3: there was an old radio guy and uh and that's
- 1:27:02Speaker 3: the rest of the story. Remember that guy. Yeah, Yeah,
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: what's what's his name? Steve Harvey, Steve Harvey, not Steve Harvey,
- 1:27:12Speaker 3: Harvey Harvey, damn and Harvey. The rest of the story.
- 1:27:20Speaker 11: Yeah, it's a damn hard Carvey bitch. That's how a
- 1:27:30Speaker 11: flailing good day.
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: Boundaries, boundaries, that that.
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: Guy was a storytelling everything. But you have this thing
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: and all of a sudden, like whoa, there's like that
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: wow moment.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: I'm sure there's some pretty cool that are like I
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: don't want to hear nobody, so I want to hear
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: the songs. I'm there to rock out or I'm there
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: to dance and stuff, And I understand that, But you
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: know me, I'm more of like, who invented? What made
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: it work? What is the story beyond that? Well?
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: Kevin Smith signing his new comic Jays of Future Past.
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: He and Uh and Jason Muse, Jane Silent Bob at
- 1:28:01Speaker 3: the Weed Shop seventy ninety five Hollywood Boulevard. This is
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: tomorrow at four pm. They also have his new marijuana products,
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: them the Banana Hammock. I still smell in the studio. Yeah, kids,
- 1:28:16Speaker 3: Very and more wishing about that with me could be
- 1:28:20Speaker 3: found on our social media also Kevin Smith's social media. Now, Kevin,
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: before you go, yes, are you opening for one more
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: ninety second round? I?
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: Yeah, But I do tell you I'm feeling real test
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: subject now, feel like a rabbit.
- 1:28:35Speaker 3: We're digging in. We're digging in with any game. I'm
- 1:28:38Speaker 3: a game player here here we are.
- 1:28:40Speaker 6: All right? Kevin?
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: Would you rather be in a small group or a
- 1:28:42Speaker 3: big crowd?
- 1:28:43Speaker 6: Big crowd?
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: So, do you plan ahead or do you wing it?
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: Wing it?
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: Introvert or extrovert?
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: Good question. I think I'm an introvert who forces himself
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: to be an extrovert through his job.
- 1:28:57Speaker 3: Same rewatch a favorite or discover something new a favorite.
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: Are you an optimist or a realist optimist? Would you
- 1:29:09Speaker 3: uh rather be understood or be remembered?
- 1:29:18Speaker 6: Be remembered, be remembered.
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: Would you rather direct Batman or direct a Batman? Or
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: direct a Star Wars film?
- 1:29:28Speaker 6: From Batman?
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: Batman?
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: It doesn't take as much imagination. I don't think I
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: have enough imagination to pull off a Star Wars let alone.
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: A Batman, But with the right amount of banana hammock,
- 1:29:37Speaker 3: I think maybe it. Yeah, and you're one last question.
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: Would you rather follow your passion or follow your talent?
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: I think my passion because I don't even after all
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: this time, I still don't even know what my talent is.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: I think I'm a really good foosball player, but I
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: didn't manage to turn that into Yeah, you know what
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 1:29:57Speaker 3: Kevin Smith, everybody, You're always been live here many games. Yeah, well, thanks,
- 1:30:05Speaker 3: I appreciate you coming in, thanks for having and thanks
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: for thanks for playing along with us.
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: I appreciate that on the voyage of the game right
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: show changed today in Pivotal when the moment happened, you
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: weren't you were part of it? About years from now though,
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: remember when they didn't do the ninety second.
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: And every once in a while you have your faith
- 1:30:33Speaker 3: in humanity restored.
- 1:30:35Speaker 6: Rarely.
- 1:30:36Speaker 3: Yeah, Like if you've ever left something somewhere and it
- 1:30:40Speaker 3: was where you left it, or you've dropped a wallet
- 1:30:43Speaker 3: or something like that, you've gotten it back. This guy
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: in Arizona found a credit card left at the gas station,
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: like in the you know, the pump reader or whatever,
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: and uh went to work to return the card to
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: its owner.
- 1:31:00Speaker 6: Yeah, track them down, Yeah, track track them down.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: The guy had accidentally left the card behind while traveling
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: to go play golf. And uh, I don't know if
- 1:31:09Speaker 3: this happened to him before, but this person was Alice,
- 1:31:11Speaker 3: Alice Cooper.
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: Wow, it was.
- 1:31:15Speaker 3: It was Alice Cooper's credit card and he left it
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: in the gas pump.
- 1:31:19Speaker 6: Some came out.
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: Is that his name?
- 1:31:21Speaker 5: It's on the card, Alice Cooper, the government.
- 1:31:23Speaker 6: Name, legal name, Yeah, who knows.
- 1:31:26Speaker 5: I don't know, but Vincent is that his name?
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: I doubt it, says Alice Cooper on the car, Alice.
- 1:31:38Speaker 6: To choose he did?
- 1:31:39Speaker 5: He did, legally change it?
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: He did?
- 1:31:43Speaker 6: Yeah, came out.
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: You get to the the gas pump and there's a
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: card in there, and you look and Alice Cooper. Yeah,
- 1:31:49Speaker 3: so he realized it was Alice Cooper's and he went
- 1:31:51Speaker 3: there and returned the card. He got a signed copy
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: of one of his albums. I guess I thought it
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: was very nice.
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: Yeah, that was very nice.
- 1:31:58Speaker 3: There's another story in the news, and you know, Kevin
- 1:32:02Speaker 3: Smith was, you know, talking about how he was trying
- 1:32:05Speaker 3: to give Atlantis moore Set some constructive criticism because he
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: went to the show and he wasn't like even like
- 1:32:11Speaker 3: criticizing necessarily. She asked, how do you like the show?
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: How did you like the show? And he said, oh,
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: it was great, And he said you should talk more
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: between the songs instead of just saying, well, here's ironic
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: and then playing ironic.
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: And then she came back to it later and said,
- 1:32:28Speaker 3: you know, I really didn't I really didn't like that feelings. Yeah,
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: and he was he was trying to be helpful. I'm
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: not sure what the point here was that this guy
- 1:32:37Speaker 3: was just like a constructive criticism or he was just
- 1:32:40Speaker 3: leaving a review. But there is an ice cream shop
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: in Alabama. This woman and her husband. It's a brand
- 1:32:46Speaker 3: new ice cream shop. They opened it and they were
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: unhappy with a customer's online review. In the review, I
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: guess the customer said he didn't like their decorations, like
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: the way that the shop was decorated. And I guess
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: they also they messed up his order, right, so he
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: left them a little constructive criticism.
- 1:33:04Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: I haven't seen exactly what he wrote, so I don't
- 1:33:07Speaker 3: know how issue this guy was in his comments. But
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: either way, this husband and wife could never work here
- 1:33:16Speaker 3: with like reading texts and things like that. You gotta
- 1:33:19Speaker 3: stay off you gotta stay offline, man, because they tracked
- 1:33:23Speaker 3: this guy down. They didn't didn't like the comments, and
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: they tracked the guy down. Here's a here's a little
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: bit of how that one.
- 1:33:32Speaker 18: Pick up every day and you choose to be a
- 1:33:33Speaker 18: little I know you're recording me right now.
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: Nobody wants to talk to you.
- 1:33:38Speaker 3: You just asked me to talk to you.
- 1:33:39Speaker 11: I'm standing here talking to you, Zach holl and my husband.
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: That's the last thing they want to do.
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: I mean, imagine you went to an ice cream store.
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: You never thought about it again.
- 1:33:46Speaker 3: Yeah, you made well, you made the comment.
- 1:33:48Speaker 6: You love the review.
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: There's a new place in town, and I'm gonna you know,
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: I'm gonna leave my two cents, hey, and that's it.
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: But all of a sudden, now here are the owners
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: out of nowhere, like you're just going about your life.
- 1:33:58Speaker 3: Now Here are the owners that just show up.
- 1:34:00Speaker 4: Well, if you got something to say, saved in my face.
- 1:34:02Speaker 3: And I guess they came in hot, you know, because
- 1:34:04Speaker 3: he's the one that took out his phone.
- 1:34:06Speaker 6: He's the one. So it's the guy who left the review,
- 1:34:07Speaker 6: who's the one recording every day and.
- 1:34:09Speaker 5: You choose to be a little I know you're recording
- 1:34:11Speaker 5: me right now.
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: Nobody wants to talk to you.
- 1:34:14Speaker 6: You asked me to talk to you.
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: I'm standing here talking to you.
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: Zach call and my husband.
- 1:34:17Speaker 5: That's the last thing they want to do is talk.
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: Okay, well you know where you live.
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: I've spoke with your mom.
- 1:34:22Speaker 6: I've got your phone number.
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: Somebody that you messaged on Facebook.
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: Dating game.
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: Going to do about her.
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: She's not gonna do anything, but she.
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: Gave me your biological government name.
- 1:34:32Speaker 19: So now I.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: Cangress charges on the work. Don't you ever ever worry
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: about the local scoop again?
- 1:34:37Speaker 3: Okay, don't you man? Don't you ever worry about the
- 1:34:40Speaker 3: local scoop ever?
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: Again?
- 1:34:42Speaker 4: I can't do Damn, I've already forgotten. I was about
- 1:34:45Speaker 4: to praise them for standing on business, but yeah, like,
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: get a little too far away.
- 1:34:50Speaker 3: They they knocked his phone out of his hand. They
- 1:34:52Speaker 3: stomped on it. Oh my god, what do you what
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: are you talking about?
- 1:34:56Speaker 6: The leave?
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: You leave them, you leave a review. You can't turn
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: around and sue somebody for that. I mean, I guess
- 1:35:03Speaker 3: you could try. People couldn't sue for anything.
- 1:35:05Speaker 4: I mean, if there was some slander in there, some
- 1:35:07Speaker 4: information that was not true, then yeah.
- 1:35:10Speaker 5: I didn't like the decorations.
- 1:35:12Speaker 6: Nothing.
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: In the context of a review, I would think you
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: could pretty much say anything you want other than I
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: walked in there and they were having an orgy with kids.
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: Anything, Yeah, but anything that has to do with like
- 1:35:21Speaker 3: the ice cream or the experience, any of that stuff.
- 1:35:25Speaker 3: Because it's in a review form, so it's very clear
- 1:35:27Speaker 3: that this is being all editorialized.
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with that.
- 1:35:31Speaker 6: Yeah, but she got his biological government name.
- 1:35:35Speaker 9: What she did the thing that everybody fantasizes about and
- 1:35:38Speaker 9: then doesn't because it's.
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: A terrible idea.
- 1:35:39Speaker 3: She just went a little too far while somebody here
- 1:35:42Speaker 3: got arrested, and guess who it was. It wasn't the
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: guy leaving the review. Yeah, it was the woman and
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: the husband who owned the local scoop.
- 1:35:49Speaker 20: Yeah, douchebags didn't have a good experience, so I wrote
- 1:35:52Speaker 20: a bad review. I didn't think nothing of it until
- 1:35:55Speaker 20: she reminded me of it. She saw it to me,
- 1:35:57Speaker 20: touched my torso three times.
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: She not thrown out of my hand, touched my torso
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: three times. She laid herself on my torso.
- 1:36:07Speaker 20: She saw it to me, touched my torso three times.
- 1:36:09Speaker 20: She knocked the phone out of my hand and pretty
- 1:36:12Speaker 20: much destroyed the back of it, kicked it under my car.
- 1:36:16Speaker 6: Yep, hyperbolic.
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's how it goes to the local scoop.
- 1:36:22Speaker 6: That'll learn them.
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: Where is this added, have a scoop of mint chip
- 1:36:26Speaker 3: and take it easy? Where it's in Alabama? Yeah, how's
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: the reviews looking?
- 1:36:31Speaker 6: Well?
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: Local scoop? What sucks ice creams?
- 1:36:33Speaker 4: There's other places called the local scoop, so.
- 1:36:37Speaker 6: Well if you find Alabama.
- 1:36:39Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, but I'm just saying, like, you know, when
- 1:36:41Speaker 4: stories like this bring uh other people get caught up
- 1:36:45Speaker 4: in it. That's happening with like this, uh this lego business.
- 1:36:50Speaker 4: Because there's like a lego. So it's in Baymonette, b
- 1:36:53Speaker 4: A Y. And then M I N E T T E. Yeah,
- 1:36:57Speaker 4: local scoop. Yeah, here's the lady.
- 1:36:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:36:59Speaker 3: Yeah, so type in Bay type in bay Minette. On
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: the reviews said, wait, if I'm sure they're really good
- 1:37:10Speaker 3: about that? The very friendly service.
- 1:37:12Speaker 9: Yeah here, the follow up is good. Oh, there's a
- 1:37:14Speaker 9: public attention alert on this one and a lot of ones.
- 1:37:17Speaker 9: There's the one good review is from one of the
- 1:37:18Speaker 9: other family members and friends. Tasted like many others I've had.
- 1:37:22Speaker 9: I guess it's hard to mess that up. Let's see,
- 1:37:24Speaker 9: here's another one star. Owners are very unprofessional.
- 1:37:28Speaker 5: Ice cream. Just decent employees, bad attitude. Yeah, there's there's
- 1:37:33Speaker 5: a couple of reviews here. It's awful, it tastes.
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: Some of it taste greedy, okay, probably gritty.
- 1:37:39Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, it is greedy.
- 1:37:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean they better they.
- 1:37:43Speaker 3: Better be careful though, yeah, because then they'll come down
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: with the wrath and you will never and I mean never.
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: Ever worry about the local scope again.
- 1:37:53Speaker 3: Okay, that's right.
- 1:37:54Speaker 2: I won't more.
- 1:37:56Speaker 3: What he shows next, actually at.
- 1:38:01Speaker 5: Myself for allowing it to have it.
- 1:38:08Speaker 3: Right back, show the question is is it worth an ish?
- 1:38:14Speaker 3: You may have heard about something we've talked about. Uh,
- 1:38:17Speaker 3: you know, Greg got inspired by my purchase of that
- 1:38:21Speaker 3: cardboard box.
- 1:38:26Speaker 6: Cardboard saw what you want?
- 1:38:29Speaker 3: Yeah, to break down all those Amazon boxes and things
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: like that. That thing turned out to be pretty great.
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: Is it worth an ish? And Greig says yes, And
- 1:38:36Speaker 3: other people bought it and they saw it, and you
- 1:38:38Speaker 3: might not want to spend money on it right away
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: until you know somebody who actually has tried these things.
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: Now the thing I have for you here today, ladies
- 1:38:45Speaker 3: and gentlemen, is it worth an ish? And we're gonna
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: put on a demonstration of this item. I didn't know
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: they still sold this thing. Nope, I had no idea
- 1:38:55Speaker 3: it was still a thing and founded on Amazon. It
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: showed up a couple days later, ladies and gentlemen, it's
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: presto salad shooter. I forget like how it came up
- 1:39:06Speaker 3: in the conversation about like, yeah, then here, Jeff, you
- 1:39:10Speaker 3: want to bring in the salad shooter?
- 1:39:11Speaker 2: So this is this?
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: Is it?
- 1:39:12Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:39:13Speaker 3: Comes in the Can you like fully explain like what
- 1:39:17Speaker 3: a shot salad shooter does? Like it's like it would
- 1:39:20Speaker 3: be something similar. Oh, I know, what we're talking about.
- 1:39:24Speaker 3: We were talking about how someone hurt themselves using they
- 1:39:26Speaker 3: call a mandolin. It's a slicer, yeah, and you can
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: use it to make Julianne cuts. You can use it
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: to make waffle cuffs super thin. And it's mom not really,
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: this is like just this is more of a home thing.
- 1:39:40Speaker 3: This is more of a home thing you're thinking about,
- 1:39:41Speaker 3: like the like the deli meat slicer, that's different. This
- 1:39:44Speaker 3: is just almost this is a ramp flat with a
- 1:39:48Speaker 3: guillotine a super sharp like a razor on it. Yeah,
- 1:39:53Speaker 3: Like why did you almost hurt yourself on a jeff or?
- 1:39:55Speaker 6: Like I've cut myself several.
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: Times over there like it.
- 1:40:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I've gone to the emergency.
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:40:01Speaker 3: And then you said your mom had one of these
- 1:40:03Speaker 3: salad shooters.
- 1:40:04Speaker 5: I grew up eating salad that was shot onto my plate.
- 1:40:08Speaker 9: So it's slices, it's like, yeah, it's like a it's
- 1:40:11Speaker 9: like a shread hyper electric shredder.
- 1:40:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:40:14Speaker 3: So it looks like if you had like a like
- 1:40:16Speaker 3: a handheld mixer right and you turned it, you know, lengthwise,
- 1:40:20Speaker 3: standing straight up instead of having the beaters on it,
- 1:40:23Speaker 3: there's just a big opening where it poops out the
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: sliced vegetables or you know, cheese, fruits or whatever they Now.
- 1:40:30Speaker 3: One thing when I opened it up Grego like this,
- 1:40:32Speaker 3: it says you can use it to slice bananas, because
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: that's difficult, real hard. But what comes to like shredding
- 1:40:37Speaker 3: stuff to make a grown coal slaw like cabbage or
- 1:40:40Speaker 3: you're they show it like, uh, you're making a pizza
- 1:40:44Speaker 3: and you can make nice slices.
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: Shoot the topic, like the cheese.
- 1:40:47Speaker 3: You can throw like a block of cheese in there, Okay,
- 1:40:49Speaker 3: because I was about to say, I'm like, we're going
- 1:40:50Speaker 3: with more salad stuff like that.
- 1:40:52Speaker 5: Oh no, right, what else I would think that like
- 1:40:56Speaker 5: if it's like cheese, it might jam it.
- 1:40:59Speaker 3: We're going to find out out, okay, because there's different
- 1:41:02Speaker 3: different attachment attachment.
- 1:41:04Speaker 5: Oh I don't remember that we only have to veggies,
- 1:41:08Speaker 5: all right.
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: So the slicer's in there, and look, if you want
- 1:41:10Speaker 3: to change it out, you just take the thing out
- 1:41:12Speaker 3: and you put it in there and then you put
- 1:41:15Speaker 3: this ring on the outside and it locks.
- 1:41:17Speaker 6: See Okay, Yeah, now you can make it more of
- 1:41:20Speaker 6: like a coal slot type thing or just slices thing.
- 1:41:24Speaker 5: It looks and sounds eighties.
- 1:41:26Speaker 10: Now.
- 1:41:27Speaker 3: One thing I don't Okay, one thing, one thing I
- 1:41:29Speaker 3: don't like about it is that it's corded. They could
- 1:41:32Speaker 3: have updated it and they could have made it like
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: a wireless joint charger.
- 1:41:36Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a hair dryer.
- 1:41:38Speaker 3: That sounds like a lot for salad.
- 1:41:40Speaker 6: Kind of pain in the ass to clean as.
- 1:41:43Speaker 3: We have like a thing for Okay, good, okay, so
- 1:41:45Speaker 3: we have some different things. Is it worth an ish
- 1:41:48Speaker 3: the Presto salad shooter?
- 1:41:50Speaker 6: Let me get this out of it. I'm so excited.
- 1:41:52Speaker 3: What would you like to try first?
- 1:41:53Speaker 6: Here?
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: Greg? Like the I got pepperone, I would do a veggie.
- 1:41:57Speaker 6: Yeah, they're thinking we should start with that. Is that
- 1:41:59Speaker 6: a cucumber?
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: Right there?
- 1:42:00Speaker 6: Cucumber? Let's try that because that's what you see in
- 1:42:02Speaker 6: the commercial all the time. And I want to know
- 1:42:04Speaker 6: how fast it shoots.
- 1:42:06Speaker 3: So what you do is you you take this and
- 1:42:07Speaker 3: you put it into the hopper.
- 1:42:09Speaker 5: See yeah like that?
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: Yeah, here, I'll move I'll move these over here we're
- 1:42:16Speaker 3: doing we're doing a demonstration.
- 1:42:17Speaker 6: We'll have the video for you to be able to
- 1:42:18Speaker 6: see it.
- 1:42:18Speaker 3: All right, I turn it on right and why okay,
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: look at those look at those slices.
- 1:42:27Speaker 6: Okay, intact paper thin. Look at that, Greg, Okay, that
- 1:42:31Speaker 6: is quite impressive.
- 1:42:33Speaker 5: You could see through those That is how quickly that
- 1:42:38Speaker 5: was done.
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: So look refreshing cucumber minutes you like it, it's not.
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: It's Chrispin refreshing.
- 1:42:47Speaker 6: Okay, was just incredibly impressed with that.
- 1:42:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, here goes the carrot.
- 1:42:53Speaker 6: Carrot, carrots slices.
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: Look at that.
- 1:42:58Speaker 6: I didn't know it was a two hand operation that
- 1:43:00Speaker 6: you have to push.
- 1:43:01Speaker 3: Well, could you push down on the feeder?
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: Put yours in there?
- 1:43:04Speaker 6: I always thought it went through the backside and went
- 1:43:07Speaker 6: straight in carrot from the top.
- 1:43:09Speaker 5: Look like Julian I always I only remember it is shredded.
- 1:43:13Speaker 3: I feel like one of those guys who do the demonstrations,
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: like you have to pick it up and massage it. Yeah,
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: now what else do we do?
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: Okay, so we're here, we're gonna we're gonna shred the
- 1:43:22Speaker 3: cheese and we're gonna shred the potato.
- 1:43:24Speaker 5: Are you going to use the same attachment here strawberries.
- 1:43:27Speaker 6: Because I'm kind of curious about that. Seems like we're
- 1:43:29Speaker 6: just mush Yeah.
- 1:43:30Speaker 5: Well, let's into jelly.
- 1:43:31Speaker 6: Yeah, let me put a few of these bad bitches.
- 1:43:33Speaker 3: If you can do strawberry slices. That's pretty cool for
- 1:43:37Speaker 3: your charcouterie board with strawberries. Here we go, Oh, okay,
- 1:43:46Speaker 3: it kind of srapped it out.
- 1:43:47Speaker 4: It's working something finally edible.
- 1:43:50Speaker 6: I kind of crapped it out.
- 1:43:50Speaker 5: But it's paper thin. It's strawberries.
- 1:43:53Speaker 3: You know what, maybe if I did one at a time,
- 1:43:54Speaker 3: I think, because maybe I did the multiples, I don't know.
- 1:43:58Speaker 6: That kind of gummed it up a bit. Here. What
- 1:44:01Speaker 6: is that apple?
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: This is this is the onion you wouldn't want to
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: do well, I guess it'll kind of come apart anyway we'll.
- 1:44:07Speaker 5: Do yeah, really shoving it in there?
- 1:44:10Speaker 6: Yeah, here we go.
- 1:44:13Speaker 5: I don't see anything.
- 1:44:14Speaker 3: Oh, it's crapping out the rest of the strawberry.
- 1:44:15Speaker 5: That's why here red strawberry onions.
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: I thought we almost broke it.
- 1:44:21Speaker 3: Now, No, you know, you know what that would have
- 1:44:22Speaker 3: been good for first of all, clean it out first, guys.
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: That's a pro tip. Yeah yeah, but like, look at
- 1:44:28Speaker 3: these onions the way that they shred. Look at that
- 1:44:29Speaker 3: Greg like that that would be great for sandwich or
- 1:44:34Speaker 3: if you want to throw them in a in a
- 1:44:35Speaker 3: pan or whatever and start like to reduce infomercy.
- 1:44:39Speaker 5: Looks like you're on the aisle end at Costco.
- 1:44:42Speaker 1: Is this TikTok?
- 1:44:43Speaker 11: This is where?
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: This is where we switch out?
- 1:44:45Speaker 5: This is where Yeah, this is where we want a
- 1:44:46Speaker 5: new attachment.
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: Let's get it.
- 1:44:48Speaker 6: Let me get this attachment out there. Easily switch out
- 1:44:51Speaker 6: the attachment.
- 1:44:51Speaker 2: There we go.
- 1:44:52Speaker 5: Otherwise just like a little hollow, no hole.
- 1:44:55Speaker 6: Okay, there we go.
- 1:44:56Speaker 4: I think it's starting to get jacked up.
- 1:44:59Speaker 6: Strawberry. Yeah, okay, here we go.
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: Now I'm gonna put the shredder attachment.
- 1:45:03Speaker 5: Yeah, this is one I remember.
- 1:45:04Speaker 6: Okay, now this is what cheese?
- 1:45:07Speaker 5: Okay, cheddar, I would just do the one block.
- 1:45:10Speaker 6: Yeah, we'll do the one block and we'll shred.
- 1:45:12Speaker 3: We'll shred the cheese.
- 1:45:14Speaker 5: Not that it's difficult to go to the Storegreg and
- 1:45:16Speaker 5: buy shredded shoe, but this difference. But don't you do
- 1:45:18Speaker 5: it yourself?
- 1:45:19Speaker 6: Now here's here's one of my criticisms, just witnessing this
- 1:45:22Speaker 6: in person. Yeah, you have to start with a relatively
- 1:45:25Speaker 6: small amount.
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: You're not gonna do it.
- 1:45:26Speaker 6: You gotta just do cheese and another cheese.
- 1:45:29Speaker 3: But it goes so quickly, it does. Let's see if
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: I if I want to do both these blocks of cheese.
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: And this is as Ryan Seacrest say, tillamok.
- 1:45:38Speaker 6: Cheddar, here we go.
- 1:45:39Speaker 3: Let's tread the cheese.
- 1:45:42Speaker 9: That's way better than I thought it would be with
- 1:45:44Speaker 9: relative ease.
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: Okay, And let me get the other boy, like.
- 1:45:49Speaker 5: I thought that was gonna make it mushy.
- 1:45:52Speaker 6: Look at that.
- 1:45:53Speaker 3: Oh that's lovely.
- 1:45:57Speaker 5: That is that's nice.
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: That is lovely.
- 1:46:00Speaker 6: Okay, Greg, So so far we got it. Cheese salad.
- 1:46:04Speaker 3: Look at that.
- 1:46:05Speaker 6: That's perfect cheese.
- 1:46:07Speaker 5: And you know what, guys, it's oh wow, delicious.
- 1:46:10Speaker 3: The tillamook really hits. Now, what goes on top of
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: cheese when you're making a pizza? Perhaps some pepperoni which
- 1:46:18Speaker 3: you can slice up, but in the thought a meat product.
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: But Greg, in the morning, you have some potatoes?
- 1:46:24Speaker 6: What should I make? How about some wh what about
- 1:46:26Speaker 6: some hash brown? Yeah?
- 1:46:28Speaker 5: My god, he's a real pitch man.
- 1:46:29Speaker 3: But could it be easier to shred the presto salad
- 1:46:33Speaker 3: shooter on the shred setting. Look at the way this
- 1:46:37Speaker 3: potato shreds. If we want to just mix this with
- 1:46:40Speaker 3: the cheese, we'd really be onto something. But here, I'll
- 1:46:42Speaker 3: throw you another big bitch potato in there.
- 1:46:45Speaker 6: Here you would think it would just be a big
- 1:46:46Speaker 6: white Next.
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: Now, let's pizza.
- 1:46:50Speaker 6: Let me let me show you this shred and just
- 1:46:53Speaker 6: that's a fine shred.
- 1:46:55Speaker 3: Look at that shred, Greg, Would this not make the
- 1:46:58Speaker 3: world's most delicious hashbread.
- 1:47:01Speaker 6: If I knew how to make my wood?
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: You know what, guys, I think the Presto salad shooter
- 1:47:07Speaker 3: is a win.
- 1:47:09Speaker 4: It's worth an affiliately, No, I guess we could.
- 1:47:14Speaker 6: We could meat product.
- 1:47:16Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I do the meat. That's the one thing
- 1:47:19Speaker 5: I'm not convinced of. Are you know, slicer or theer.
- 1:47:23Speaker 3: I'm gonna use the I'm gonna.
- 1:47:24Speaker 5: Use the what you might call it the slicer.
- 1:47:26Speaker 6: The slicer.
- 1:47:27Speaker 3: Okay, I don't want to slicer my finger off.
- 1:47:30Speaker 6: Do you think the clapper still exists?
- 1:47:32Speaker 5: Clap clapper? Yeah, well, now you don't need a clapper
- 1:47:35Speaker 5: because you.
- 1:47:36Speaker 6: Have it on your everything else. I had one of
- 1:47:40Speaker 6: those in the day and if I coughed, the lights
- 1:47:42Speaker 6: are gone. Yeah, okay, that's locked in. This is now
- 1:47:46Speaker 6: which attachment.
- 1:47:48Speaker 3: This is the slicer because we want we want slices
- 1:47:50Speaker 3: of the pepperoni on our pizza.
- 1:47:51Speaker 5: On our imagination pizza.
- 1:47:53Speaker 3: Okay, here we go Presso salad shooter. How do we
- 1:47:56Speaker 3: do with pepperoni? Let's see, I seen it. I haven't
- 1:48:01Speaker 3: seen anything. Okay, this is this is not.
- 1:48:05Speaker 5: About Yeah, what's going on in there?
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: You can kind of see you gotta press harder, press harder.
- 1:48:14Speaker 6: No, maybe with less four.
- 1:48:16Speaker 5: This is an operator error. This is meat error.
- 1:48:19Speaker 6: I don't think it likes. I don't think. I think
- 1:48:21Speaker 6: it chokes much like Gina and huh.
- 1:48:22Speaker 3: I think it chokes on the meat.
- 1:48:23Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, but that's a failure. Hands look look at like, yeah,
- 1:48:29Speaker 9: that's a fail Everything else.
- 1:48:31Speaker 5: Though, amazing.
- 1:48:32Speaker 6: So that was the same attachment as the cucumber.
- 1:48:34Speaker 5: Yeah, that was a slicer.
- 1:48:36Speaker 3: Liked the slicer. I wouldn't go. I wouldn't go with
- 1:48:38Speaker 3: the pepperoni on that one.
- 1:48:39Speaker 6: You can just use an old fashioned knife.
- 1:48:42Speaker 5: I wonder if it was cooked already. I saw that
- 1:48:46Speaker 5: cold and soft is not cooked.
- 1:48:49Speaker 6: I mean what happened to the meat is what we
- 1:48:51Speaker 6: thought would happened. That just jamm jammed up, gumb it up.
- 1:48:54Speaker 3: Well, the Presso salad shooter you got?
- 1:48:58Speaker 6: Is it worth an ish?
- 1:48:58Speaker 3: I think it's worth it.
- 1:49:00Speaker 6: That's just fun.
- 1:49:01Speaker 5: Yeah, it's fun.
- 1:49:03Speaker 3: I agree with menace it does sound like it's dying,
- 1:49:05Speaker 3: but it's clearly a workhorse.
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: It really is.
- 1:49:07Speaker 6: Oh you know what, here's the other thing that might
- 1:49:09Speaker 6: be a problem.
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: Oh, I think if we clean Oh it was stuck.
- 1:49:13Speaker 3: You think I think if we cleaned the chamber out
- 1:49:15Speaker 3: here between going from carrots to you know, potato to
- 1:49:19Speaker 3: strawberry to sausage.
- 1:49:21Speaker 6: Maybe, how are you supposed to clean that?
- 1:49:23Speaker 3: Well, there's instructions for that. You get it to your wife.
- 1:49:26Speaker 3: That's where you've out your hand over hands your wife.
- 1:49:29Speaker 6: Big question here is how much did the Presto Salad
- 1:49:32Speaker 6: Shooter set you back? That's a great question, Greg, because
- 1:49:35Speaker 6: on your official website, I don't know if you've got
- 1:49:37Speaker 6: a good deal or not. They have it. What's that.
- 1:49:42Speaker 4: Amazon steep They have it for forty six oh one?
- 1:49:46Speaker 6: Okay, so don't buy it directly through go Prestoh.
- 1:49:49Speaker 3: Yeah, because when I when I ordered this thing, my
- 1:49:51Speaker 3: wife goes, did you order a salad shooter?
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: I got?
- 1:49:53Speaker 6: I did?
- 1:49:55Speaker 5: Do you think this is goes?
- 1:49:56Speaker 6: Okay?
- 1:49:56Speaker 3: Why I I just it's it's for work.
- 1:49:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:49:59Speaker 5: We shoot a lot of salad here.
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: Yeah, the Presto salad Shooter. I'm trying to go back
- 1:50:03Speaker 3: she orders so much stuff. I'm still scrolling guys. Geez,
- 1:50:06Speaker 3: I feel her salad here, let's see salad shooter. Can't
- 1:50:12Speaker 3: you search your there's a search search.
- 1:50:16Speaker 6: All order orders, salad.
- 1:50:21Speaker 2: Orders.
- 1:50:24Speaker 3: They look impressed by it again.
- 1:50:25Speaker 6: I got it for They have it at fifty four
- 1:50:30Speaker 6: ninety nine.
- 1:50:30Speaker 3: Yeah, fifty dollars.
- 1:50:32Speaker 5: I don't know, twenty five for sure.
- 1:50:37Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't think.
- 1:50:38Speaker 3: I don't think it's worth fifty bucks.
- 1:50:39Speaker 6: No, I have one.
- 1:50:41Speaker 5: So in the end of the day, it's not worth itsh.
- 1:50:43Speaker 3: No, it is worth. It doesn't mean it does work.
- 1:50:45Speaker 3: It's what is it worth to you? You know all
- 1:50:47Speaker 3: that slicing. People don't like this, especially when you're trying
- 1:50:50Speaker 3: to get like a nice uniform.
- 1:50:51Speaker 5: I get it.
- 1:50:52Speaker 6: I was most happy with the cucumberund Yeah, those.
- 1:50:55Speaker 5: Are pretty.
- 1:51:01Speaker 3: With the service, you had another reminder that Sunday is
- 1:51:04Speaker 3: Father's Day.
- 1:51:05Speaker 1: Yeah right, yeah, oh yeah, let's go.
- 1:51:07Speaker 6: Oh yeah, all right, So what's gonna happen? They just
- 1:51:10Speaker 6: rename it?
- 1:51:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, is your kids gonna do anything?
- 1:51:12Speaker 2: For real?
- 1:51:13Speaker 4: Are they going to try to take you to dinner
- 1:51:14Speaker 4: or something? No, that's your choice, are by.
- 1:51:17Speaker 3: Their probably both? But if I had to guess Yeah, Jeff,
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: you had said that all you wanted was just kind
- 1:51:28Speaker 3: of like a day off the clock. Yeah, just to
- 1:51:30Speaker 3: And how's that working out.
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: It's not working out at at all.
- 1:51:34Speaker 7: Why because of a stupid basketball coach that scheduled two games,
- 1:51:38Speaker 7: not one, but two deep into the valley over here
- 1:51:40Speaker 7: that I have to attend when they're like three hours apart.
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'm there all day.
- 1:51:46Speaker 7: Scheduled games on Fathers For some reason, they think that
- 1:51:50Speaker 7: I want to be there. Yeah, it brings a great
- 1:51:52Speaker 7: pride to watch my son play basketball.
- 1:51:55Speaker 3: Which it does, but at the same time, it's like,
- 1:51:57Speaker 3: it'd be nice to have a day off exactly.
- 1:51:59Speaker 6: It's Father's Day.
- 1:52:01Speaker 3: Yeah, two basketball games and three hours apart, not even rude,
- 1:52:08Speaker 3: at least at the same location, or you have to then,
- 1:52:10Speaker 3: you know, pick up at one place and go to
- 1:52:12Speaker 3: a different place.
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: No, no, thank god.
- 1:52:13Speaker 7: They're at the same location, which is cool, But it
- 1:52:15Speaker 7: means that my meal in between will be like fast food. Right,
- 1:52:18Speaker 7: Nothing says Father's Day like fast food.
- 1:52:20Speaker 6: Yeah, my buddy was told.
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: My buddy was told that he is grilling on Father's
- 1:52:25Speaker 3: Day for the family. Yeah, So not only is it
- 1:52:31Speaker 3: Father's Day and like forget going out. You're gonna make dinner.
- 1:52:35Speaker 6: I've been guilty of that where I make Dad make
- 1:52:37Speaker 6: the steaks or something on Father's Day. Yeah, I gots
- 1:52:41Speaker 6: but you're making it doing it right.
- 1:52:45Speaker 5: That's what they tell us.
- 1:52:46Speaker 3: They love it. It's like my wife loves making peanut
- 1:52:49Speaker 3: butter and jelly sandwiches for the kids and sending them
- 1:52:52Speaker 3: off with their meal and yeah, just loves making sure
- 1:52:55Speaker 3: they're nourished.
- 1:52:55Speaker 6: And often they're doing what they want to on Mother's Day.
- 1:52:59Speaker 6: That's what they want to do. Yeah.
- 1:53:00Speaker 3: Man, I got friends that are in that that travel
- 1:53:03Speaker 3: sports life or the dance life, like uh, you know,
- 1:53:06Speaker 3: dance competitions and stuff, and they're gone entire weekends. Oh
- 1:53:10Speaker 3: it's Memorial Day. Well we're gone for three days. They
- 1:53:13Speaker 3: got it, and they got travel to it, and it's
- 1:53:15Speaker 3: an all day, all night thing.
- 1:53:17Speaker 4: F that to our friend Julianne, she has kids that
- 1:53:21Speaker 4: are in softball and like every weekend there's somewhere.
- 1:53:25Speaker 3: Yeah in the country.
- 1:53:26Speaker 5: It's a different state.
- 1:53:27Speaker 3: And this is where you screw up. You sign your
- 1:53:30Speaker 3: kids up for this travel sports stuff and it's unnecessary.
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: They can still and it still means, yeah, they could
- 1:53:36Speaker 3: still play sports. They could still do that. They can
- 1:53:39Speaker 3: still do something, you know where, It's not like you're
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: going out of town and spending an entire weekend at
- 1:53:43Speaker 3: a tournament.
- 1:53:44Speaker 5: What's wrong with up the street right exactly? Is that broken?
- 1:53:47Speaker 3: Nothing? Well, there's nothing wrong with that. Are the kids
- 1:53:50Speaker 3: going pro? Don't with the wells?
- 1:53:51Speaker 6: I hear it.
- 1:53:52Speaker 5: I'm saying the.
- 1:53:53Speaker 19: Competition is that you need more competition than the kids
- 1:53:55Speaker 19: up the street because you might be able to collect
- 1:53:57Speaker 19: enough people in one town for a tea and then
- 1:54:00Speaker 19: you have to go play other people that are.
- 1:54:02Speaker 5: Good and if you can go, they don't have to
- 1:54:04Speaker 5: be across like you can only stay in town for
- 1:54:06Speaker 5: so long?
- 1:54:06Speaker 3: Why because it's for fun?
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: You played everybody.
- 1:54:10Speaker 5: Yeah, competition, there's not a high enough level of competition.
- 1:54:13Speaker 3: For certain high enough level.
- 1:54:14Speaker 4: Well more or let's go to college sports.
- 1:54:16Speaker 3: Ninety nine point nine percent of kids aren't going to
- 1:54:19Speaker 3: do anything outside of whatever recreation, school ly kind of
- 1:54:23Speaker 3: thing that they're doing.
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: That's it. Yeah, but they can't.
- 1:54:25Speaker 3: I'm not saying they're going to go pro, but they
- 1:54:27Speaker 3: can at least get good enough where they can get
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: some of their college covered.
- 1:54:30Speaker 5: So can't they go to another county they have to
- 1:54:32Speaker 5: go to three states.
- 1:54:33Speaker 3: Over Well, you can speak more to this, Jeff, because
- 1:54:35Speaker 3: your your son's playing on scholarship.
- 1:54:36Speaker 7: They always tell you on these tournaments, but college coaches
- 1:54:39Speaker 7: will be there, they'll be watching. You have to go,
- 1:54:41Speaker 7: you know, and I've never seen one college coach any
- 1:54:43Speaker 7: of them.
- 1:54:44Speaker 3: Well, how did your son end up playing ball overseas?
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: Well, we hustled, and you know, we put his videos
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: out there. We got a touch with people, et cetera.
- 1:54:50Speaker 1: So like we we pushed it.
- 1:54:52Speaker 7: You know, it wasn't some magic college coaches showed up
- 1:54:55Speaker 7: on its side.
- 1:54:55Speaker 1: But going to.
- 1:54:56Speaker 4: Father's Day at the same point, you had to go
- 1:54:58Speaker 4: play better players to get better video, right, to send
- 1:55:00Speaker 4: out to.
- 1:55:01Speaker 19: People, and to even become better, you have to have
- 1:55:03Speaker 19: better competition to become a better player yourself.
- 1:55:05Speaker 3: Look, plenty of people do it. I'm just giving the
- 1:55:08Speaker 3: other side of the argument because it's how like you know,
- 1:55:11Speaker 3: some people argue what you know, breastfeed or formula. Right,
- 1:55:16Speaker 3: You're gonna make your decision, and most people will make
- 1:55:19Speaker 3: the argument for breastfeeding. Now, most people will make the argument,
- 1:55:22Speaker 3: oh yeah, I'm gonna send my kids to this traveled
- 1:55:24Speaker 3: team and I'm willing to do this because my kids
- 1:55:27Speaker 3: and blah blah blah blah. For whatever reason, or maybe
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: it's the thing. I'm just giving some light to the
- 1:55:32Speaker 3: other side of the pillow.
- 1:55:33Speaker 6: That's all. You don't have to do it. This reminds
- 1:55:36Speaker 6: me of friends I have. I don't know why you
- 1:55:37Speaker 6: do it. Like we're going out to dinner tonight, but
- 1:55:39Speaker 6: we gotta go now because the restaurant's like forty five
- 1:55:41Speaker 6: minutes away. You know where else there's a restaurant, right.
- 1:55:46Speaker 3: Yeah, like you sign yourself up. There's some parents, man,
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: they they overschedule the kids with things, but then they
- 1:55:53Speaker 3: complain about how much running around they're doing. I'm like, well,
- 1:55:57Speaker 3: why don't you draw the line to the number of activities. Yeah,
- 1:55:59Speaker 3: the to fix that, you don't have to do four
- 1:56:02Speaker 3: different activities because each thing has at least one sometimes
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: two or more into practices or whatever it is per week.
- 1:56:08Speaker 4: Also, to counteract my own argument about the college thing,
- 1:56:11Speaker 4: if you break down, like all the money they've spent
- 1:56:15Speaker 4: over the years to do this stuff, like he could
- 1:56:18Speaker 4: the college.
- 1:56:19Speaker 3: Yes, that's true. My son just made the high school
- 1:56:22Speaker 3: hockey team. We spent just on the jerseys and it's hockey.
- 1:56:28Speaker 3: So there's a couple of other piece of no, not
- 1:56:30Speaker 3: even the stick, No, this is just the uniform. Just
- 1:56:33Speaker 3: the stuff he needed for the uniform was seven.
- 1:56:35Speaker 6: Hundred dollars, yeah, white COOCHI. Yeah, because there was a.
- 1:56:38Speaker 3: There's a home jersey and away jersey, and then like
- 1:56:40Speaker 3: you need the shells for that's like the like what
- 1:56:43Speaker 3: they wear, like kind of the hockey pants and like
- 1:56:45Speaker 3: a couple of socks and yeah, so for home and
- 1:56:48Speaker 3: away versions of that, total was like six hundred and
- 1:56:50Speaker 3: ninety bucks. Right, So there's that. Then to register him
- 1:56:54Speaker 3: for the team was another like thirty two hundred dollars
- 1:56:58Speaker 3: to yeah register, yeah play.
- 1:57:00Speaker 5: Oh no, Greg, we didn't realize he was in the NHL.
- 1:57:03Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, right, so to write his name down.
- 1:57:05Speaker 5: Yeah, that's insane, right.
- 1:57:08Speaker 7: Gina, you're gonna hate this. But they charge you to
- 1:57:10Speaker 7: play in AAU tournaments. And then just if you want
- 1:57:12Speaker 7: to get in to see your son, they charge you admissions.
- 1:57:15Speaker 5: Right, a ticket to see my own kids.
- 1:57:19Speaker 1: Yeah at twenty five bucks apiece.
- 1:57:21Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true to hilarious. Yeah, and then they tried
- 1:57:25Speaker 3: getting a drink while you're there.
- 1:57:26Speaker 4: Yeah, what I was talking about Julianne's kid and the
- 1:57:30Speaker 4: softball thing we're talking about like a twelve year old
- 1:57:33Speaker 4: the bat four hundred dollars.
- 1:57:34Speaker 3: Oh yeah, crazy, Yeah right, I mean hockey. Obviously there
- 1:57:37Speaker 3: are cheapest sports, but that's why people play soccer.
