- 1:48Speaker 1: let's go, let's go here, it's the story you need
- 1:53Speaker 1: to hear to believe. Then grab your popcorn because there
- 2:00Speaker 1: is more. I spoke to the Council General of Israel yesterday,
- 2:12Speaker 1: so the Council General to the Midwest is a man
- 2:15Speaker 1: by name of a lad Stromar, and had a conversation
- 2:19Speaker 1: about what it is that we're seeing in this attack
- 2:22Speaker 1: on Iran, which I said to him, clearly, I get
- 2:25Speaker 1: what the Israelis are saying. I get what Trump is saying.
- 2:28Speaker 1: It's setting up the conditions for the Iranians to go
- 2:31Speaker 1: about regime change. I don't think there's any question this
- 2:35Speaker 1: is a regime change war. I said it in that way.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I will play you the full interview on Tony Katz
- 2:41Speaker 1: today at noon. But I had the chance to ask
- 2:45Speaker 1: him about one of the things that you're hearing in America,
- 2:50Speaker 1: for right or for wrong, about this hit on the
- 2:54Speaker 1: Iranian regime, which for the record, I absolutely favor by
- 2:58Speaker 1: the US and Israel. Let's talk about the future this
- 3:07Speaker 1: In America. You have people on the left and on
- 3:11Speaker 1: certain parts of the right to talk about the idea
- 3:13Speaker 1: forever wars and how long the United States was in Afghanistan,
- 3:16Speaker 1: not wanting those things. I of course view of those
- 3:19Speaker 1: arguments right now regarding Iran as a lot of silly talk,
- 3:24Speaker 1: in that we're nine ten days into this. That's not
- 3:29Speaker 1: a forever war by any stretch of any imagination. There's
- 3:32Speaker 1: also great arguments about whether America in its current lifetime,
- 3:38Speaker 1: you know, the past couple of decades, has ever actually
- 3:40Speaker 1: seen what winning looks like and what taking out an
- 3:43Speaker 1: enemy looks like as opposed to some precision strike and
- 3:46Speaker 1: then moving on with our day. The Islamic regime goes,
- 3:52Speaker 1: it is gone. It is no longer an Islamic nation Iran,
- 3:56Speaker 1: but rather it's make Iran Persia again, and it's well,
- 4:00Speaker 1: it might not be a republic like the United States,
- 4:04Speaker 1: but it is something that it wasn't. What does a
- 4:09Speaker 1: future Middle East look like in the Israeli view.
- 4:15Speaker 2: I would start saying that I agree with you. It's
- 4:17Speaker 2: not a forever war. It's ending the forever wars. This
- 4:20Speaker 2: is exactly what we're doing right now by eliminating this
- 4:23Speaker 2: regime threat, because unlike the other wars that you mentioned here,
- 4:28Speaker 2: eighty percent of the Iranian people oppose the regime. They
- 4:32Speaker 2: want to see change, so that when we're taking down
- 4:35Speaker 2: this regime, they will be able to go to the
- 4:37Speaker 2: streets and lead the changes that they want to see.
- 4:40Speaker 2: And that's the big difference from everything else. We're helping
- 4:44Speaker 2: the people creating the conditions for themselves, and I believe
- 4:48Speaker 2: that when that happens, we'll see a different Middle East.
- 4:51Speaker 2: And why is that? First and foremost, before the Iranian
- 4:54Speaker 2: revolution in nineteen seventy nine. Israel had great relationship with
- 4:57Speaker 2: the Iranian people. The Ranian people are good, smart, peace
- 5:01Speaker 2: loving people. They love Israelis, many of them they love Israelis.
- 5:04Speaker 2: We see the Israeli flags in Uranian dissidents protests, taking
- 5:08Speaker 2: Israel and the United States for helping them against the
- 5:11Speaker 2: suppressive regime. So I believe that when this regime is
- 5:14Speaker 2: out and the people will control themselves, and I agree
- 5:17Speaker 2: with you, we don't know what model of a regime
- 5:21Speaker 2: it's going to be. If it's going to be a democracy,
- 5:22Speaker 2: it's going to be a republic, they will choose it
- 5:24Speaker 2: for themselves, but they will have a government that will
- 5:29Speaker 2: work for the people and want threatened Israel, one threaten
- 5:32Speaker 2: the Middle East, one threatened the United States, and we
- 5:34Speaker 2: will be able to work together when that happens. I
- 5:38Speaker 2: believe in the greater Middle East we'll see the change
- 5:41Speaker 2: because right now all the countries in the Middle East
- 5:43Speaker 2: understand that the most destabilizing force in the Middle East
- 5:48Speaker 2: is Iran. And when Iran as this regime will be
- 5:51Speaker 2: eliminated and won't threaten them, they will come to collaboration
- 5:55Speaker 2: and cooperation with Israel, and we'll see an expansion of
- 5:58Speaker 2: the abraham A Cords and expression cooperation in the Middle
- 6:01Speaker 2: to East. I believe that it's possible. We see the
- 6:05Speaker 2: beginning of it right now. And I believe that when
- 6:09Speaker 2: Pisbala can no longer be a proxy everyone and we'll
- 6:13Speaker 2: stop threatening us, something good and forward moving can happen
- 6:17Speaker 2: with Lebanon and we'll see a new improve Middle least.
- 6:22Speaker 1: That is certainly the hope. That is the Israel Consul
- 6:25Speaker 1: General to the Midwest, A. Lord Stromeyer. That full interview
- 6:30Speaker 1: will be heard at noon on Tony Katz today
