- 0:00Speaker 1: Back to it. News Radio 570 at ODKVN. Ron Furb,
- 0:02Speaker 1: it's 407 here in the afternoon. 76 degrees. All right, Jake,
- 0:06Speaker 1: go ahead. I'm sorry for the delay.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Not a problem, sir. Thanks for having me. I'm just saying,
- 0:13Speaker 2: in my experience in the mixed martial arts world, it's overwhelmingly...
- 0:20Speaker 2: I'm not saying Republican. I'm saying on Trump's.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Side, right?
- 0:25Speaker 2: Or somebody like that. An outsider... I was always looking
- 0:29Speaker 2: out for that. John McCain was a great example because
- 0:32Speaker 2: he was completely against it and said it was human
- 0:34Speaker 2: cockfighting and wanted to ban it because it's John McCain,
- 0:38Speaker 2: a great war hero and a terrible politician, a terrible senator.
- 0:43Speaker 2: He wouldn't even protect his own border. So it tells
- 0:46Speaker 2: you where that is. So I'm saying, and who was
- 0:50Speaker 2: the audience in attendance? Military, veterans, and first responders? Right.
- 0:58Speaker 2: This only pushed them further in Trump's direction. Right. So
- 1:03Speaker 2: if it's not Trump, if it's J.D. Vance, if it's
- 1:05Speaker 2: Marco Rubio, I think it really bolstered the people who
- 1:10Speaker 2: hate the UFC also hate Trump. Right. So, that's a wash.
- 1:17Speaker 2: You know, I don't think you're losing anything. I don't
- 1:20Speaker 2: mind your argument of saying we shouldn't have that at
- 1:23Speaker 2: the White House. That part doesn't bother me. I'm saying
- 1:27Speaker 2: for the voting, because you were talking about the war. Well,
- 1:31Speaker 2: we're going to lose the midterms, but we're going to
- 1:33Speaker 2: lose this. Right, because what if Trump's... of what Trump's doing,
- 1:38Speaker 2: and I'm saying this was bringing more people into the fold.
- 1:42Speaker 2: That's all. That's my only... I'm in favor of it anyway. However,
- 1:46Speaker 2: I'm saying for the election aspect of it, I think
- 1:51Speaker 2: this only bolstered Trump's chances.
- 1:54Speaker 1: All right. Thank you, Jake. NewsRadio 570 WQN, you're on
- 1:57Speaker 1: the air.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Yeah, how you doing, Ron?
- 2:00Speaker 1: I'm well.
- 2:01Speaker 4: I enjoyed your show yesterday, especially the closing with your colleague...
- 2:06Speaker 4: That was really entertaining.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Oh, how about that? A little insight there. That's how
- 2:12Speaker 1: I ended up here.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Was that Carolyn Persutti?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Yes, Carolyn Persutti is how I ended up in Youngstown.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Yes, and that was fascinating. I remember the other, you
- 2:24Speaker 4: were talking about how she looks the same now as
- 2:27Speaker 4: she did then. That's her Italian genes.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Yes.
- 2:29Speaker 4: It's like, remember Gina Marinelli and Mary Jo Maluso, the
- 2:34Speaker 4: news anchors?
- 2:35Speaker 1: Well, Carolyn Persutti looks– time has treated her well. She's
- 2:39Speaker 1: aged gracefully. So, I mean, she's– really, it's really– it
- 2:45Speaker 1: was a pleasure to see her, but that's really how
- 2:48Speaker 1: I ended up in Youngstown, because of her and bringing my–
- 2:57Speaker 1: My name to Pete Gabriel because she was already here. Well,
- 3:01Speaker 1: that's how it all materialized. That's what I was talking
- 3:03Speaker 1: about yesterday to her. And, you know, if you think
- 3:06Speaker 1: like you should really think about people that have really
- 3:08Speaker 1: made huge changes in your life as you go through
- 3:13Speaker 1: your life. I mean, it's interesting how one individual can.
- 3:17Speaker 1: can make a huge difference in your life in so
- 3:19Speaker 1: many ways. I mean, somebody that's– think about it, all
- 3:22Speaker 1: of you that are listening, the first person who ever
- 3:24Speaker 1: hired you for a job when you were a young
- 3:26Speaker 1: person and hired you and paid you and taught you
- 3:31Speaker 1: how to work. I mean, there's so many people that–
- 3:33Speaker 1: wouldn't you agree that are like– changed your life, uh, to,
- 3:38Speaker 1: to a large extent. I mean, I would not.
- 3:40Speaker 4: All it takes is that one, one opportunity and that
- 3:43Speaker 4: one day where they, you know, do something that makes
- 3:45Speaker 4: the big change.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 1: The change is your course. I mean, I, uh, I
- 3:50Speaker 1: will tell everybody, I would not have ended up in
- 3:52Speaker 1: broadcasting if it wasn't for my older brother. I have
- 3:54Speaker 1: an older brother who's 10 years older than me that, uh,
- 3:57Speaker 1: that wasn't broadcasting at the time. And I would go
- 3:59Speaker 1: with them. I was just a little kid, a 10, 11,
- 4:02Speaker 1: 12 years old when he would go to work. And, uh,
- 4:05Speaker 1: that's how i became exposed to it uh back when
- 4:09Speaker 1: i was just a just a little kid to say
- 4:11Speaker 1: and again kind of my brother was uh guiding me
- 4:15Speaker 1: in a direction there and i didn't even didn't even
- 4:17Speaker 1: realize it but you know if you didn't carolyn pursued
- 4:20Speaker 1: he didn't uh bring my uh we worked together in
- 4:23Speaker 1: canton and if she didn't come here and tell pete
- 4:26Speaker 1: gabriel about me and then pete gabriel hiring me i'd
- 4:30Speaker 1: I don't think any of this would have materialized, and
- 4:32Speaker 1: I would have never dreamed I would be here for
- 4:34Speaker 1: 41 years. It's amazing.
- 4:36Speaker 4: And I like that crack reporter comment that you made
- 4:40Speaker 4: about her.
- 4:40Speaker 1: That was good. Well, I meant it in good fashion.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Make no mistake. She just took it wrong at that point.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Now let me go back to you for a second.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I want to go back to you and give me
- 4:52Speaker 1: your assessment on a couple of things because you're a
- 4:55Speaker 1: sharp guy with finances. I want to pick your brain
- 4:58Speaker 1: for a second. So what are your thoughts– today on
- 5:03Speaker 1: the SpaceX stock as it went up again today.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Still positive. Unlike your last caller yesterday where he said
- 5:12Speaker 4: he would short the stock, you can't do that with SpaceX.
- 5:18Speaker 4: There's not enough shares to be available to short. And
- 5:23Speaker 4: you can't even margin SpaceX, so you've got to have
- 5:26Speaker 4: the cash. You can't buy it on margin. It's non-marginable.
- 5:31Speaker 3: But..
- 5:32Speaker 4: I went back and I re-watched that interview on CNBC
- 5:38Speaker 4: on YouTube with Ron Barron about his assessment, and it
- 5:43Speaker 4: was so positive. And what I didn't know, that SpaceX
- 5:48Speaker 4: is getting $ 1. 5 billion a month from Anthropic to use their...
- 5:58Speaker 4: They call it a computing center, but it's a data center.
- 6:01Speaker 4: In Memphis, Tennessee, it's the biggest in the world. And
- 6:06Speaker 4: that's going to add up to $ 25 billion a year
- 6:10Speaker 4: just from Anthropic renting a space on their computing platform,
- 6:16Speaker 4: their AI platform.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Isn't that similar to, and you would know this, like Amazon,
- 6:23Speaker 1: when we think of Amazon, I mean, they come to
- 6:25Speaker 1: your house and they bring you your stuff. But Amazon
- 6:28Speaker 1: really makes, I think, the bulk of its money from AWS,
- 6:32Speaker 1: Amazon Web Services. I mean, it's huge. I mean, it
- 6:36Speaker 1: is just about everything, everything, and I do say everything
- 6:40Speaker 1: goes through AWS.
- 6:43Speaker 4: Well, look at Amazon when it started out. What did
- 6:45Speaker 4: they do? They sold books online.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Right. Right.
- 6:48Speaker 4: That was it. And then they developed into the giant
- 6:51Speaker 4: that they were in retail, and then they got into
- 6:57Speaker 4: computers and AI and cloud data, and it's fantastic.
- 7:03Speaker 1: And you would remember when Amazon stock went public, Amazon
- 7:07Speaker 1: wasn't making any money. I mean, the delivery service, it
- 7:11Speaker 1: took a long time before it started to become profitable.
- 7:15Speaker 4: I remember when Jeff Bezos went on the Jay Leno show,
- 7:19Speaker 4: the Tonight Show.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Yes.
- 7:21Speaker 4: And he had the big, remember the big funny hat
- 7:23Speaker 4: he had? And Leno was making fun of him. You
- 7:27Speaker 4: run a company, it doesn't make any business, and why
- 7:29Speaker 4: should we believe you? And it was, I couldn't believe it.
- 7:33Speaker 4: I said, boy, he's really mocking this guy, and look
- 7:36Speaker 4: what he's become.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I mean, can you imagine? I mean, Amazon is great.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I mean, it is, it's, it's great. You can order any,
- 7:44Speaker 1: I could order something during a commercial break and it'd
- 7:46Speaker 1: be at your house tomorrow or the next day. I mean,
- 7:49Speaker 1: it's just, it exposed you to so many other products
- 7:53Speaker 1: that you might not have in your local store. It
- 7:55Speaker 1: can be delivered right to your house. It's just, it's phenomenal.
- 7:59Speaker 1: It's hard to imagine now that you have it, life
- 8:03Speaker 1: without it. But, uh, I mean, it's just a great thing.
- 8:08Speaker 1: And I bring that up. I just want to go
- 8:10Speaker 1: back to this SpaceX. So did you buy any?
- 8:14Speaker 4: What I did do, I sold contracts this morning.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Okay, so you're way over my head on this. I mean,
- 8:22Speaker 1: are you going to buy any of the actual stock?
- 8:26Speaker 4: Well, here's what I did today. I laid out, if
- 8:29Speaker 4: I have to buy the stock... It's like $ 124, 000 today.
- 8:36Speaker 4: It's cash-secured puts. I sold six. Actually, I sold two
- 8:44Speaker 4: more when I was listening to you on the radio
- 8:48Speaker 4: with the callers. At a quarter to four, I sold
- 8:50Speaker 4: two more contracts through Schwab. So I have eight total contracts.
- 8:57Speaker 4: The strike price is $ 155, 000. Expiration date is July 17th.
- 9:05Speaker 4: So if in July, on the 17th, if that SpaceX
- 9:10Speaker 4: is trading at $ 155 or below, I'm obligated to buy
- 9:14Speaker 4: the shares. I have to buy 100 shares for contract,
- 9:21Speaker 4: which would be 800 shares. And my profit today was...
- 9:28Speaker 4: The average, I averaged out in the morning, I was
- 9:31Speaker 4: getting six, I think it was $ 620, $ 630 a contract.
- 9:35Speaker 4: And when I made my last trade, it was $ 7, $ 710.
- 9:42Speaker 4: So I made about $ 5, 200 today selling those contracts. And
- 9:48Speaker 4: I'm just going to let them go until next month.
- 9:52Speaker 4: If they expire and they're above 155, I'll just rewrite
- 9:56Speaker 4: the contracts. There's two outcomes. You have outcome A, the
- 10:03Speaker 4: stock drops. You have to buy the shares. But you're
- 10:08Speaker 4: buying the shares at a lower price and you got
- 10:10Speaker 4: paid to buy the shares. Outcome B is The stock
- 10:14Speaker 4: stays up. The options expire. They're worthless. You keep the
- 10:18Speaker 4: cash that you sold the contracts for, and you just
- 10:22Speaker 4: repeat the process. And actually, there's one other option. You
- 10:26Speaker 4: can always buy to close your contract at any time.
- 10:31Speaker 4: If you want to get out of the contract, you
- 10:32Speaker 4: can buy it at any time before it expires.
- 10:38Speaker 1: All right. Yeah, you're in a whole other realm than
- 10:41Speaker 1: the average investor, would you not agree? I mean, when
- 10:43Speaker 1: you're talking this kind of stuff. I mean, do you
- 10:46Speaker 1: think the average, in your opinion, do you think the
- 10:49Speaker 1: average guy, I think the stock was at 200 or
- 10:52Speaker 1: something today, if I'm not mistaken. Do you think the
- 10:55Speaker 1: average guy should buy, if you can, some shares of SpaceX? No,
- 11:01Speaker 1: I wouldn't buy it at 200.
- 11:03Speaker 4: I mean, I would buy it at 155. The range today,
- 11:08Speaker 4: it went up to 225. It opened around 251. Right now,
- 11:15Speaker 4: it's trading at 201.58. Like I said, it's a great company,
- 11:21Speaker 4: but the average guy should not be buying one stock.
- 11:25Speaker 4: And I listened to your financial show last night. Was
- 11:29Speaker 4: that a tape show?
- 11:30Speaker 1: Yes, yes.
- 11:31Speaker 4: Okay, so... I guess I'm breaking all the rules that
- 11:35Speaker 4: I don't have a diversified portfolio. I'm mainly 95% stocks
- 11:43Speaker 4: in tech, and they're concentrated. And what got me to
- 11:49Speaker 4: do that was back when Warren Buffett, through Berkshire Hathaway,
- 11:54Speaker 4: made Apple his number one stock. And the slogan back
- 11:58Speaker 4: then was, just buy Apple, stupid. That's the only thing
- 12:01Speaker 4: you have to do in the market, just buy Apple.
- 12:04Speaker 4: At one time, it was 42% of his portfolio was Apple,
- 12:09Speaker 4: Berkshire Hathaway.
- 12:10Speaker 1: And that's what you... So did you, as a result
- 12:15Speaker 1: of that, then you bought a bunch of Apple back then?
- 12:18Speaker 4: I bought a bunch of Apple. Well, I had Apple.
- 12:20Speaker 4: I bought a bunch more, and I told all of
- 12:23Speaker 4: my relatives, just buy Apple. They thought I was crazy.
- 12:26Speaker 4: They didn't do it, but some of them did. But
- 12:30Speaker 4: I haven't sold a share, and that's where they were
- 12:34Speaker 4: saying last night, they're correct. Take some money off the table.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Take some profits off when your stocks run so far.
- 12:42Speaker 4: you want to pare back. All of the fund managers
- 12:44Speaker 4: do that. I don't know if you know who Kathy
- 12:48Speaker 4: Woods is that runs the ARC funds.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I do not, but my question to you would be,
- 12:52Speaker 1: let's say if you could buy SpaceX at, let's just
- 12:56Speaker 1: say $ 200, you don't think that potentially a year from
- 13:00Speaker 1: now that stock could be significantly more than that? I'm
- 13:03Speaker 1: not saying like a NVIDIA, but it could soar?
- 13:07Speaker 4: Here's the thing. The lockup is going to expire in
- 13:11Speaker 4: six months on SpaceX. So I think that puts a
- 13:15Speaker 4: ceiling on the stock as far as when that lockup hits,
- 13:20Speaker 4: all the people can get out of their shares at
- 13:25Speaker 4: a profit, at a very big profit. Those are the
- 13:28Speaker 4: employees for the company and all the funds that had
- 13:31Speaker 4: access to the IPO. So, no, I wouldn't buy it.
- 13:36Speaker 4: I think it's going to be higher in a year
- 13:38Speaker 4: from now or two years. But in the meantime, every month,
- 13:42Speaker 4: I'll be knocking down probably $ 5, 000 for the next four months.
- 13:47Speaker 4: And when it gets closer to the lockup, that's when
- 13:50Speaker 4: I'm going to stop selling the options on it, the
- 13:53Speaker 4: cash secured.
- 13:54Speaker 1: So you think in six months when people can start
- 13:56Speaker 1: to sell their shares, the price will come down?
- 13:59Speaker 4: Yes. There's always an opportunity. You've got to be patient
- 14:03Speaker 4: in the market. Never get caught up in the mania.
- 14:07Speaker 4: And who said it?
- 14:09Speaker 1: All right, so you think six months from now, wouldn't
- 14:14Speaker 1: it be something, because many of these people got a
- 14:16Speaker 1: lot of these shares, the employees and what have you,
- 14:19Speaker 1: you would think to a certain extent they would want
- 14:21Speaker 1: to keep them because the future, at $ 200 a share,
- 14:25Speaker 1: the future they could be $ 1, 200 a share or more.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Well, it depends on their circumstance. A lot of the
- 14:32Speaker 4: employees aren't upper-level executives or engineers anymore. They're just basic
- 14:38Speaker 4: janitors at the company. They're going to be millionaires. So
- 14:44Speaker 4: they'd probably be inclined to sell their shares.
- 14:47Speaker 1: So you think that in six months you'll be able
- 14:49Speaker 1: to buy it for less, in your opinion, than you
- 14:51Speaker 1: can today?
- 14:52Speaker 4: I think there's always an opportunity. That's what Buffett always said.
- 14:55Speaker 4: You buy when there's blood on the streets. When everybody's selling,
- 14:59Speaker 4: you buy. And when there's mania..
- 15:01Speaker 1: Stand by. Just hang on for a minute. I'll get
- 15:03Speaker 1: back to him with more in a minute. News Radio
- 15:06Speaker 1: 570 WKBN. This is a 570 WKBN. I want to
- 15:11Speaker 1: go back here and say, I mean, theoretically, I mean,
- 15:14Speaker 1: it's one of those stocks that I'm wondering if you
- 15:17Speaker 1: shouldn't buy and hold, like a SpaceX, whatever that number is,
- 15:20Speaker 1: 155 or 200. and sit on for 10 years. I mean,
- 15:24Speaker 1: if you're young, if you're young, you buy it and
- 15:29Speaker 1: just sit on it, and it could make a big difference.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I'm not talking about buying it and selling it a
- 15:35Speaker 1: year later. I'm saying actually sit on it for a
- 15:38Speaker 1: while and see.
- 15:39Speaker 4: I'm going to say one thing before I bore more
- 15:42Speaker 4: of your audience and they start shutting the radio off.
- 15:45Speaker 4: There was more call buying today than put selling. So
- 15:49Speaker 4: people were buying... in the money deep in the money
- 15:53Speaker 4: puts excuse me deep in the money calls on spacex
- 15:59Speaker 4: it for that same time period seven seventeen at a
- 16:02Speaker 4: strike price of two hundred it would cost you uh...
- 16:07Speaker 4: two thousand seven hundred dollars to buy one contract which
- 16:11Speaker 4: would give you the right to buy so they're bullish
- 16:14Speaker 4: that that stocks going to be at two hundred or
- 16:17Speaker 4: above and there was like way more call buying than
- 16:22Speaker 4: put selling. So there are a lot of people that
- 16:25Speaker 4: are bullish. And you could make a lot of money
- 16:30Speaker 4: buying deep in the money calls. And that's a whole
- 16:32Speaker 4: other ballgame, but I'm.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Not going to bore you. But it shows you that
- 16:35Speaker 1: people are thinking it's Elon Musk, it's SpaceX, it's going
- 16:40Speaker 1: to be similar to like Apple in the beginning or
- 16:43Speaker 1: Amazon in the beginning.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 16:46Speaker 4: A guy like Musk, like I said, he only comes
- 16:48Speaker 4: around once every 500 years. And when he does... Take
- 16:52Speaker 4: advantage of it.
- 16:54Speaker 1: So you still, you're mainly in, like AI is going
- 16:58Speaker 1: to be huge. I don't care where it goes. It's
- 17:02Speaker 1: going to be around. So you're heavily into NVIDIA and
- 17:06Speaker 1: AI as far as you're not diversified. You're saying you're
- 17:10Speaker 1: betting it all on the future of AI.
- 17:13Speaker 4: I've been doing that for the last 10 years. And
- 17:16Speaker 4: I listened to the show last night and I said, yeah, boy,
- 17:19Speaker 4: I'm breaking all the rules, but it's paid off. And
- 17:24Speaker 4: basically my stocks, I'll just run down them real quick. Apple, Amazon,
- 17:29Speaker 4: I have crypto, Coinbase Global, Google, both classes, Meta, which
- 17:34Speaker 4: I love a lot for AI, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Palantir Technologies.
- 17:41Speaker 4: And then I have my options that I trade. These
- 17:45Speaker 4: other stocks I just hold.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Right, okay. And how do you think the economies... What
- 17:51Speaker 1: are you going to do? If you had to judge
- 17:53Speaker 1: it today, Tuesday, June 16th, it looks like the things...
- 17:57Speaker 1: I mean, it appears that maybe the war will be
- 18:00Speaker 1: behind us, oil prices down. I mean, how do you
- 18:03Speaker 1: assess where things are going?
- 18:06Speaker 4: I think things are going good, but it's like trying
- 18:08Speaker 4: to turn around a big supertanker. I mean, Trump has
- 18:11Speaker 4: screwed it up so much that he didn't have to,
- 18:15Speaker 4: but now he's headed back on the right path, and
- 18:18Speaker 4: I'm very... You know, I've got to see what happens
- 18:21Speaker 4: this week with the Fed. That's the big thing. I
- 18:24Speaker 4: hope they just leave interest rates the same and don't
- 18:27Speaker 4: hike them. If they do, that will be okay. And
- 18:30Speaker 4: then if they cut later on in the year, it'll
- 18:33Speaker 4: be a lot better.
- 18:34Speaker 1: All right, stand by for a minute. I want to
- 18:37Speaker 1: come back to him in a minute and pick his
- 18:39Speaker 1: brain a little bit more. Smart guy. Back in a minute.
- 18:42Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570 WKVN. NewsRadio 570 WKVN. Oops, there we go.
- 19:08Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WKVN and Runford. All right, let me
- 19:11Speaker 1: go back to you. So how do you think things
- 19:13Speaker 1: are going to happen with the economy?
- 19:15Speaker 4: Well, like I said, I'm waiting for Warsh, Kevin Warsh,
- 19:19Speaker 4: to come out this week, and we'll see what he's
- 19:22Speaker 4: going to do with interest rates. And hopefully he'll hold
- 19:25Speaker 4: them where they're at and not raise them because of
- 19:29Speaker 4: the inflation that was caused by the war that's going
- 19:33Speaker 4: to be wrapped up.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Soon, I hope.
- 19:35Speaker 1: But you think the economy's going to turn around and
- 19:38Speaker 1: start going in the right direction?
- 19:39Speaker 4: We still have that oil shortage.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:42Speaker 4: It's going to impact us for the next couple of
- 19:44Speaker 4: months until that gets back to where it was. There's
- 19:48Speaker 4: that hole that they keep saying. the hole, I don't
- 19:50Speaker 4: really follow oil, but they said this is going to
- 19:54Speaker 4: go into late August, possibly September with high prices. But
- 19:59Speaker 4: other than that, the economy's good. Everything looks good. If
- 20:02Speaker 4: we can just take care of the fraud, we'd be
- 20:05Speaker 4: in great shape. The They had a story on California
- 20:13Speaker 4: on fraud. This is a quick example. This was in 2021.
- 20:19Speaker 4: California had a program for children to provide hearing aids
- 20:24Speaker 4: for low-income children, and it was a $ 23 million program. Okay,
- 20:29Speaker 4: fast forward. New York Post just did a follow-up on
- 20:33Speaker 4: where we're at today. They've only given out 300 hearing
- 20:37Speaker 4: aids after five years. at $ 76, 000 per hearing aid. So
- 20:42Speaker 4: the fraud in California is rampant. And I hate to
- 20:47Speaker 4: say Ohio is not much better, but we've got a
- 20:49Speaker 4: governor that I hate to call him a crook, but
- 20:51Speaker 4: the guy I think is a crook. He's ignoring Columbus,
- 20:56Speaker 4: ignoring Springfield, ignoring all the other Medicare fraud that's been
- 21:02Speaker 4: going on in the state, and we're talking about lowering
- 21:05Speaker 4: our property tax if we just took care of the fraud,
- 21:09Speaker 4: we wouldn't need a property tax. But that's my big concern.
- 21:13Speaker 1: He doesn't seem very motivated to do anything with it.
- 21:17Speaker 4: No, and there's only a few state senators that care,
- 21:20Speaker 4: like the guy that you have on every Thursday. He's
- 21:22Speaker 4: really good.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Yeah, Dave Thomas.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Yeah, but the other politicians I have no use for.
- 21:29Speaker 4: But I'm bullish on the economy. Two years out, and
- 21:34Speaker 4: the people that I follow who are really smart people
- 21:39Speaker 4: see very big positive things in the next two years.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Are you concerned? The other day when I was talking
- 21:46Speaker 1: with John Arnold on his program, John Arnold actually said,
- 21:49Speaker 1: he said, I don't like to use the word scared.
- 21:52Speaker 1: because he just doesn't like to use it. But he says,
- 21:55Speaker 1: I'm paraphrasing, AI scares me. He says, because already you
- 21:59Speaker 1: can see where AI has cut a lot of jobs,
- 22:02Speaker 1: tens of thousands of jobs at this point in time.
- 22:06Speaker 1: And he seems to think it's going to cut, in
- 22:09Speaker 1: a very short period of time, it's going to cut
- 22:11Speaker 1: a lot of jobs.
- 22:13Speaker 4: But it's going to increase in other areas. It's going
- 22:17Speaker 4: to increase employment, I believe, and it's actually going to
- 22:19Speaker 4: help us. It's going to be a tool. to grow
- 22:22Speaker 4: the economy. I'm very positive on AI, except that they
- 22:27Speaker 4: had to put the brakes on as far as the
- 22:30Speaker 4: government was concerned that it was so advanced that it
- 22:35Speaker 4: was finding software bugs and looking into software places that
- 22:39Speaker 4: it shouldn't be doing. That's what worries me, that it
- 22:43Speaker 4: sort of takes off on its own.
- 22:45Speaker 1: So you don't think it's going to devastate the workforce?
- 22:50Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 22:52Speaker 1: No.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Certain sectors it will, but other sectors it won't. All right.
- 23:02Speaker 4: All in all, the people that I follow, they're not
- 23:04Speaker 4: concerned about that as far as the employment. I mean,
- 23:07Speaker 4: there will be jobs out there. You might have to
- 23:11Speaker 4: go into different areas, but, you know.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Right. The technology will replace some, but not all.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Right.
- 23:19Speaker 4: And you're going to still need, like I said, plumbers, electricians, welders.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Yeah, painters.
- 23:27Speaker 4: Those people can make it. Nurses, yes. Technical people. People
- 23:32Speaker 4: like Dieter.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Right.
- 23:34Speaker 4: Putting in air conditioners and heaters. I mean, you need
- 23:37Speaker 4: skilled people like that.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Right.
- 23:39Speaker 4: And they make a pretty good buck.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Right.
- 23:41Speaker 4: It's not like, I mean, they make, not like the
- 23:45Speaker 4: old days, but... We shall see if they can chop
- 23:50Speaker 4: government employment. That's why Musk was so successful when he
- 23:53Speaker 4: went in there. And I had high hopes for him
- 23:56Speaker 4: the first year that Trump had him there, uncovered all
- 23:59Speaker 4: the fraud, showed where all the fraud was going, showed
- 24:03Speaker 4: that we could have eliminated our income tax if we
- 24:07Speaker 4: would just stop the fraud. And our Congress and senators
- 24:12Speaker 4: did nothing.
- 24:13Speaker 1: No, they did something. They were against Musk. I mean,
- 24:18Speaker 1: they really wanted to drive him out because he was
- 24:20Speaker 1: exposing all of the corruption and the money stealing. And
- 24:24Speaker 1: if he can't solve the problem, I don't think there's
- 24:27Speaker 1: anyone that's going to be willing to take it on
- 24:29Speaker 1: that has the brainpower, the technology, or the buffer that
- 24:33Speaker 1: he has.
- 24:34Speaker 4: No, and he paid the price when his Tesla stock,
- 24:37Speaker 4: it went in the tank, and people were keying Tesla
- 24:40Speaker 4: cars and destroying dealerships. I mean, he paid a price
- 24:45Speaker 4: for he was working for free trying to help the
- 24:48Speaker 4: country out, and that's how we repaid him.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Yeah, which is the politics of it all, by name-calling
- 24:56Speaker 1: him and terrorizing his dealership, so much so that he
- 24:59Speaker 1: left to go address his own business. So the people
- 25:02Speaker 1: who use those techniques, it worked, but his taxpayers were
- 25:05Speaker 1: screwed as a result of it, I think.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Yeah, and what I really like is when he's going
- 25:10Speaker 4: to put these compute centers in orbit. And there was
- 25:14Speaker 4: a Democrat that came out criticizing Trump.
- 25:17Speaker 1: I mean, you know, it's so hard to imagine that.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Basically what you're saying to me, now this is hard
- 25:23Speaker 1: to even grasp this. I mean, you're saying these data
- 25:27Speaker 1: centers that all these communities are bellyaching about and this
- 25:30Speaker 1: kind of stuff. As I say, everyone will use it.
- 25:33Speaker 1: And a data center is not a bad thing to
- 25:36Speaker 1: have in your area. I don't think it's an evil thing.
- 25:39Speaker 1: It's not like having a big polluter or anything like that.
- 25:43Speaker 1: It's probably worth having. But you're saying you think, you
- 25:46Speaker 1: honestly think that, let's say, I'll give you five years
- 25:50Speaker 1: or so, that they'll be obsolete because Musk thinks you
- 25:53Speaker 1: can put them in like a satellite in outer space?
- 25:57Speaker 4: His top engineer at SpaceX said it'll be 30 to
- 26:01Speaker 4: 32 months They'll be in space. It's very doable. They
- 26:06Speaker 4: have the rockets. And here's my other question. Why do
- 26:09Speaker 4: we have NASA with our diversity programs and our astronauts?
- 26:15Speaker 4: We have one from Canada. We have one minority. We
- 26:19Speaker 4: have a, you know, give it to SpaceX. You can't
- 26:24Speaker 4: make rockets better than Musk. He makes the biggest rockets.
- 26:28Speaker 4: They're reusable.
- 26:30Speaker 2: They're cheap.
- 26:30Speaker 4: They're dependable. And I don't know why anything the government
- 26:35Speaker 4: gets involved in, they can't compete with the private sector
- 26:42Speaker 4: as far as cost and efficiency.
- 26:45Speaker 1: And when you look at Elon Musk, you say he's what?
- 26:49Speaker 1: He's like the Thomas Edison of his time?
- 26:51Speaker 4: Yeah, he's like the Da Vinci of his time. The
- 26:56Speaker 4: guy is, I don't know how he comes up with
- 26:59Speaker 4: all these ideas. And the most fascinating one is, which
- 27:03Speaker 4: I never thought he would do, is the NeuroLink. For
- 27:06Speaker 4: people that are paraplegics and they can't walk, they can't move,
- 27:11Speaker 4: he's doing the NeuroLinks where it's going to advance medicine
- 27:14Speaker 4: to the point where these people are going to be
- 27:16Speaker 4: mobile again. And it's, I don't know how he thinks
- 27:20Speaker 4: of these things at night, but..
- 27:22Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if it's just him. He's got
- 27:24Speaker 1: a whole staff of people.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, right, right. But he is, the idea is
- 27:28Speaker 4: the seeds come from his brain. and then he hires
- 27:32Speaker 4: the right people, and people want to work for him.
- 27:35Speaker 4: But real quick to the data centers, the Democrat, this
- 27:39Speaker 4: lady congressperson, said that, oh, he can't put those in
- 27:44Speaker 4: space because space is a vacuum, and you won't be
- 27:47Speaker 4: able to get rid of the heat or.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Cool it down.
- 27:50Speaker 4: And I'm going, oh, you moron. This is what we
- 27:53Speaker 4: have in Congress. That's why he's going to put them
- 27:56Speaker 4: up there. Cooling is going to be zero. It's going
- 27:59Speaker 4: to be zero. Not a cost, whereas if you put
- 28:02Speaker 4: them on Earth, you need constant water cooling and you
- 28:06Speaker 4: need power generation. The generation in space will be so
- 28:10Speaker 4: efficient and the cooling 100% efficient. And his biggest plant
- 28:17Speaker 4: now is in Memphis, Tennessee, his data center. And I
- 28:21Speaker 4: don't hear any complaints about that. It's the largest in
- 28:24Speaker 4: the world.
- 28:26Speaker 1: It's amazing. I mean, you see, it's amazing.
- 28:29Speaker 3: All right.
- 28:29Speaker 1: I appreciate everything. Thank you for all you do. Appreciate it.
- 28:32Speaker 4: Talk to you later.
- 28:33Speaker 1: All right. Snooze Radio 570. Don't you kill you. And
- 28:35Speaker 1: you're on the air.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Oh, glad to hear that. How you doing, Ron?
- 28:39Speaker 1: Good. Go ahead.
- 28:40Speaker 3: You haven't been by to see the new antenna.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Oh, no, I have not.
- 28:44Speaker 3: It's up there.
- 28:46Speaker 1: How's it working?
- 28:49Speaker 3: It could be better, I think.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Now, why could it be better? Why shouldn't it be
- 28:55Speaker 1: good from, I mean, you put it back together, shouldn't
- 28:58Speaker 1: it be working fine?
- 29:00Speaker 3: I put an intent above it, and it might be
- 29:02Speaker 3: affecting it.
- 29:03Speaker 1: All right, well, take it down.
- 29:04Speaker 3: So anyway, I really felt sorry for your buddy, the retiree,
- 29:12Speaker 3: that doesn't have time to go vote, but he voted
- 29:16Speaker 3: here for probably, what, 40, 45? six years.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Well, I don't, I don't know that he said he
- 29:21Speaker 1: didn't have the time as I explored it further. He has,
- 29:24Speaker 1: I mean, mobility's an issue for him. So that's why
- 29:28Speaker 1: he doesn't know.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Wait a minute. He started off, he didn't have the
- 29:31Speaker 3: time and he didn't want to stand in line and
- 29:34Speaker 3: wait as if he has so many things to do
- 29:38Speaker 3: during the day that he knows, like, what to advance.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Well, if you would have listened, you would have found
- 29:46Speaker 1: out because, I mean, some things people don't like to say.
- 29:49Speaker 1: He's got some mobility issues, and he talked about it.
- 29:51Speaker 3: And that was really going along with his story. And
- 29:55Speaker 3: then when he said about he had a mobility issue...
- 29:59Speaker 3: Then I really got mad because, you know, I think
- 30:03Speaker 3: you know I work the polls. And there was no
- 30:07Speaker 3: reason for him to blame his mobility issue because he
- 30:11Speaker 3: can go curbside. He doesn't have to get out of
- 30:14Speaker 3: his car.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Okay, but you're attacking a guy.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Which is probably not more than five or six are
- 30:25Speaker 3: willing to go out and vote.
- 30:28Speaker 1: What's the big damn deal? He does it the way
- 30:31Speaker 1: that it's legally. Well, I'm going to tell you.
- 30:34Speaker 4: Okay.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Knock it off.
- 30:39Speaker 3: He votes.
- 30:40Speaker 1: He just does it through Ohio's system of a mail-in ballot.
- 30:45Speaker 1: And here's the bottom line. He doesn't have to justify
- 30:51Speaker 1: it to you.
- 30:51Speaker 4: I didn't say he has to.
- 30:53Speaker 1: No, but you're attacking him for it.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Is a good, well done in Ohio. It's for people
- 31:04Speaker 3: like him, for people like you, you point out, all
- 31:07Speaker 3: the reasons you point out. Those who live in a
- 31:10Speaker 3: nursing home who obviously hope somebody with a little bit
- 31:14Speaker 3: of common sense is helping them vote, not somebody voting
- 31:19Speaker 3: for them. And I like the way Ohio's done. I
- 31:25Speaker 3: got involved with working about it, to see that things
- 31:30Speaker 3: were done on the up and up. Because with all
- 31:33Speaker 3: the conspiracy, and yesterday, I think it was, he said,
- 31:38Speaker 3: all this conspiracy is talking. It's coming out more and more.
- 31:42Speaker 3: It's being proven in all these other states that the
- 31:45Speaker 3: fraud is there. It's just a matter of time for
- 31:49Speaker 3: it all to come out. So, Ohio, I feel, from
- 31:53Speaker 3: my viewpoint... or how I take part in working the ballots,
- 31:59Speaker 3: I feel Ohio is doing it right and pretty darn secure. Okay?
- 32:05Speaker 3: I know how everything's done.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Right. I'm not talking about California with mailing the ballots out,
- 32:13Speaker 1: and I don't have a problem with the guy getting
- 32:15Speaker 1: a mail-in ballot in Ohio. I don't either.
- 32:18Speaker 3: I don't either, but he complains about it. If he goes,
- 32:21Speaker 3: he has to wait. Well, guess what? He should be
- 32:24Speaker 3: glad that he has to wait.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Okay, well, I tell you what, that's his business.
- 32:31Speaker 3: And when it comes to people being stupid about voting,
- 32:35Speaker 3: not voting enough, you know what, if they're too stupid
- 32:39Speaker 3: not to vote, I don't want them to vote because
- 32:42Speaker 3: they're probably not well-informed voters. Okay? I want well-informed voters.
- 32:47Speaker 3: When I was a kid, I don't think I have voted.
- 32:53Speaker 3: I think I voted every single time from high school,
- 32:58Speaker 3: graduating in 1977. I don't think there's one time I've
- 33:02Speaker 3: ever missed voting, at the very most once, okay? And
- 33:08Speaker 3: at that time, computers were coming out. And I thought, oh, man,
- 33:11Speaker 3: this would be great. We'll be able to vote from home,
- 33:14Speaker 3: or we'll be able to shop from home, And I
- 33:17Speaker 3: realize all the fallacies now of doing that. The fraud
- 33:22Speaker 3: is possible because somebody is voting from home on their computer.
- 33:27Speaker 3: or somebody's helping them vote, or..
- 33:30Speaker 1: Listen, I don't know how to tell you this. I
- 33:33Speaker 1: sit here in Ohio, and I'm not worried about a
- 33:35Speaker 1: lot of fraud in Ohio and how we do our elections.
- 33:38Speaker 1: So I'm not worried about how we do it here.
- 33:40Speaker 1: This is where I live. I pointed out in California,
- 33:43Speaker 1: I'm glad I don't live there. And I think there
- 33:46Speaker 1: in Colorado is ripe with fraud when you're mailing everybody
- 33:49Speaker 1: a ballot. So I have no problem with people in
- 33:52Speaker 1: Ohio mailing a ballot in, and I'm not going to
- 33:54Speaker 1: question a guy that has mobility issues doing it his
- 33:57Speaker 1: way or criticize him for it. It's none of your
- 34:00Speaker 1: damn business. Okay, period.
- 34:04Speaker 3: That's the way the system is done intentionally so he
- 34:08Speaker 3: can vote.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Okay.
- 34:09Speaker 3: And without a problem.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Listen, I'm not going to go on with this if
- 34:13Speaker 1: you want to criticize him. Because I don't agree with
- 34:16Speaker 1: it at all. He can do what he wants to do.
- 34:18Speaker 1: It's his life. We have mail-in ballots. You don't have
- 34:21Speaker 1: a problem with it. Who are you to tell him
- 34:23Speaker 1: he should be doing it the other way? He doesn't
- 34:25Speaker 1: have to. He's going to do it his way.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Okay, he's entitled to his opinion.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Okay, but you don't know him, and you don't know
- 34:38Speaker 1: his mobility issues or what his problem is.
- 34:41Speaker 4: Okay, who are you to criticize him?
- 34:45Speaker 1: I'm going to say it again. It's none of your
- 34:48Speaker 1: damn business. It has nothing to do with you. It's
- 34:52Speaker 1: none of your damn business.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Him criticizing other people being there to vote. Because he
- 34:58Speaker 3: has to wait for them to vote.
- 35:00Speaker 1: He says he doesn't want to wait.
- 35:02Speaker 3: The way things are done.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Okay, you know, I'm not going to go. Listen, I
- 35:07Speaker 1: don't give a damn. He's entitled to his opinion with
- 35:10Speaker 1: his issues that he's having.
- 35:14Speaker 3: And whether he wants to go, you don't have to
- 35:17Speaker 3: get out of the car.
- 35:18Speaker 1: I don't give a damn. He doesn't even have to
- 35:20Speaker 1: do that. He can vote by mail. Who are you
- 35:22Speaker 1: to criticize him? Then get off his ass. Then get
- 35:26Speaker 1: off his ass. Who are you to tell him what
- 35:28Speaker 1: he should do?
- 35:29Speaker 3: I'm going to tell him what he should do. I'm done.
- 35:33Speaker 1: I'm done. I'm done. You're on the air. Hello. You're
- 35:41Speaker 1: on the air. Wait a second. You're on the air.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Stand by.
- 35:46Speaker 5: I gave you a hard time.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Stand by.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Hang on.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I'll come right back to you after this. Youngstown's News, Weather,
- 35:55Speaker 1: and Talk Station, 570 WKBN. All right. Your turn.
- 36:02Speaker 5: Well, first of all, they allow that guy to work
- 36:05Speaker 5: at the polls?
- 36:07Speaker 1: I mean, it's like. I have no problem with how
- 36:09Speaker 1: we do the mail-in ballots here, but it's like, I
- 36:12Speaker 1: guess you do have a problem because this guy with
- 36:14Speaker 1: mobility issues does it that way, and you don't want
- 36:18Speaker 1: to stand or be in line, and you want to
- 36:20Speaker 1: tell him he should get in his car and drive
- 36:21Speaker 1: down there. It's none of your damn business.
- 36:24Speaker 3: Well, how do you let this guy work at the polls?
- 36:25Speaker 3: I don't get that.
- 36:28Speaker 5: The second thing is, before I get into what I
- 36:30Speaker 5: told you two months ago, is the reason why the
- 36:32Speaker 5: gas prices are going down is because we've dipped way, way,
- 36:36Speaker 5: way into our strategic reserves. And I think that's going
- 36:38Speaker 5: to come back and bite us because we're going to
- 36:40Speaker 5: have to pay more for it to replace it, more
- 36:43Speaker 5: per barrel to replace it than what we used. Now,
- 36:46Speaker 5: I told you something two months ago. I think I
- 36:49Speaker 5: told G2 this, right? I hope G2 was listening. When
- 36:53Speaker 5: you guys are saying, well, how do we come out
- 36:55Speaker 5: of this? I told you how we can come out
- 36:59Speaker 5: of this, but Donald Trump is not going to let us. Now,
- 37:04Speaker 5: let me tell you what happened. You can believe me

- 37:10Speaker 5: The European Union, led by France's prime minister, United Kingdom, Canada, Russia, China,
- 37:22Speaker 5: I think it was like 38 states, All 38 of
- 37:26Speaker 5: those countries were speaking to Iran's foreign minister. And they
- 37:36Speaker 5: came up with the deal. Now, think about it. These
- 37:39Speaker 5: are the same people that came up with the deal
- 37:41Speaker 5: with Barack Obama. They came up with the deal. Iran says, okay.
- 37:47Speaker 5: Trump finds out about it, and he wants to say, well,
- 37:50Speaker 5: we need to do a memorandum of understanding, which would
- 37:53Speaker 5: give him 60 days, you know, towards the midterms to
- 37:59Speaker 5: help him out. But the fact of the matter is this.
- 38:01Speaker 5: The deal is on the table. The deal was made
- 38:04Speaker 5: without Donald Trump. That's when Donald Trump says, well, I
- 38:08Speaker 5: don't really know what the deal is because he didn't
- 38:10Speaker 5: negotiate it. All the other nations, and they set a
- 38:13Speaker 5: trap for them. When you come over with the G7,
- 38:16Speaker 5: nobody's talking to them. They make them look like a fool.
- 38:19Speaker 5: But everybody but the United States is on board with this.
- 38:23Speaker 3: And you know what the bad part about it is?
- 38:25Speaker 5: This deal is worse than Obama's deal.
- 38:29Speaker 3: All right, stand by.

- 39:16Speaker 6: doing this, but the point being, could they have something
- 39:20Speaker 6: else lined up?

- 39:49Speaker 7: truly end. They need to know what's the deal on
