- 2:03Speaker 3: not just about radio, but a lot of stuff about
- 2:05Speaker 3: news and talk, and they very good at covering cable
- 2:08Speaker 3: news stuff. But it's like the trade magazine of the
- 2:11Speaker 3: radio industry. Barrettmedia dot Com. Check it out. It's Jason
- 2:17Speaker 3: Barrett and Barrettmedia dot Com. It's a great honor and
- 2:22Speaker 3: we're very happy about it, which means we got to
- 2:24Speaker 3: now look, we got to make room for another. We
- 2:26Speaker 3: have it. The last year's framed over there. We got
- 2:28Speaker 3: to put another one over there. But that's a good
- 2:31Speaker 3: problem to have. The latest on the Guthrie kidnapping. They
- 2:36Speaker 3: found the glove, as you know, on the side of
- 2:39Speaker 3: the road. But here's the part you might not realize.
- 2:42Speaker 3: You know, it's a huge area, it's a lot of desert.
- 2:45Speaker 3: It's an enormous area. Why would they pull up there
- 2:48Speaker 3: and find a glove there? Well, they're not saying much.
- 2:52Speaker 3: The feds are now running things, not the locals, and
- 2:54Speaker 3: the Feds keep everything very quiet. They don't talk, they
- 2:58Speaker 3: don't let on. But apparently they have gone to looking
- 3:03Speaker 3: at every car that was in the area around that time,
- 3:08Speaker 3: anywhere near that time that night. You can get the
- 3:10Speaker 3: GPS off cell phones. Your phone has a GPS in it,
- 3:16Speaker 3: and whether you want to, whether you use it or not,
- 3:19Speaker 3: that GPS is always working. Even if you have your
- 3:21Speaker 3: phone shut off, that GPS is working because as soon
- 3:24Speaker 3: as you turn it back on, it'll upload the GPS
- 3:27Speaker 3: information to somewhere. It's a place where only federal authorities
- 3:31Speaker 3: and really good you know, investigators can get to it.
- 3:35Speaker 3: But apparently they were tracking cars that were going on
- 3:38Speaker 3: certain routes, so that's why they happened to see that glove.
- 3:42Speaker 3: They were following the route of a car that they
- 3:44Speaker 3: had seen. They'd seen the GPS on that car going
- 3:47Speaker 3: that route, so they were driving that route, looking going slow,
- 3:50Speaker 3: looking out the window, and they saw the glove. It
- 3:53Speaker 3: appears to be the glove that the invader there, the kidnapper,
- 3:58Speaker 3: was wearing in that video. We've all seen. It's a big, puffy,
- 4:03Speaker 3: very winter ski glove kind of thing, so not something
- 4:06Speaker 3: anybody in Tucson would ever own or wear. Very unusual,
- 4:10Speaker 3: even that big puffy coat. Tucson doesn't get that cold.
- 4:14Speaker 3: So they've found the glove, and because it's such a warm,
- 4:18Speaker 3: warm glove in such a hot climate, it's assumed that
- 4:21Speaker 3: the person must have sweated a lot wearing all that stuff,
- 4:25Speaker 3: and that sweat left a lot of DNA inside the glove.
- 4:28Speaker 3: It's possible there could be a fingerprint, although highly unlikely,
- 4:33Speaker 3: but they're looking at the glove looking for DNA. All
- 4:36Speaker 3: that sweat inside the glove could create some DNA. The
- 4:40Speaker 3: other thing they're looking at is the outside of the glove,
- 4:43Speaker 3: looking for any traces of blood because as We know
- 4:46Speaker 3: Nancy Guthrie was bleeding as they took her out, and
- 4:49Speaker 3: it's possible the glove touched the touch the face or
- 4:52Speaker 3: wherever she was bleeding and got some blood on it,
- 4:54Speaker 3: so you'd have two sets of DNA on that glove.
- 4:57Speaker 3: So that's what they're looking at. Been somehow TMZ got
- 5:02Speaker 3: themselves a little too involved in this. If you have
- 5:06Speaker 3: anything to report, call the FBI. That's the best way
- 5:09Speaker 3: to do it. But a lot of people have been
- 5:11Speaker 3: going to TMZ, which they're very nice. Harvey Levin's a
- 5:13Speaker 3: great guy and TMZ's a lot of fun to read.
- 5:17Speaker 3: But it's like, I don't mean this in a bad way,
- 5:20Speaker 3: but it's today's version of the National Inquirer, and they
- 5:24Speaker 3: print all kinds of stuff. They got all kinds of sources,
- 5:27Speaker 3: and a lot of times the stuff is true, but
- 5:28Speaker 3: sometimes it's not so true. I like the National Inquirer,
- 5:32Speaker 3: which broke a lot of big stories, but a lot
- 5:34Speaker 3: of stuff they broke didn't turn out to be exactly true.
- 5:37Speaker 3: So you got the same problem with TMZ. People are
- 5:40Speaker 3: going there. FBI is getting tips.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Now.
- 5:42Speaker 3: The tips are very important because somebody might recognize something
- 5:46Speaker 3: on that video. The way the guy's eyes looked, or
- 5:49Speaker 3: something about his shape. But they've gotten eighteen thousand tips. Now,
- 5:54Speaker 3: it takes incredible manpower because you got to run down
- 5:57Speaker 3: each one of them eighteen and tips have come in.
- 6:01Speaker 3: That's why they arrested that delivery guy the other day. Now,
- 6:05Speaker 3: if you look at that guy, his shape, his body,
- 6:08Speaker 3: his shoulders, the shape of his arms, his legs, he
- 6:11Speaker 3: looks exactly like the guy in the video, and his
- 6:14Speaker 3: eyes look like this guy's video. He has a mustache
- 6:17Speaker 3: just like the guy. The outline of him is exactly
- 6:19Speaker 3: the same as the guy in the video. They've determined
- 6:22Speaker 3: it's not him. I assume he could prove where he
- 6:24Speaker 3: was and it was nowhere near there that night. But
- 6:27Speaker 3: he was a delivery guy. And again they were checking
- 6:30Speaker 3: the GPS's of phones tracing the cars, and apparently his
- 6:35Speaker 3: delivery route that night took him somewhere near that house.
- 6:37Speaker 3: That's why they pulled this guy over. And once they
- 6:40Speaker 3: saw they were following me, I pulled over. They didn't
- 6:42Speaker 3: even have to put.
- 6:43Speaker 4: A traffic s operating and day I got off the
- 6:44Speaker 4: car and they arrested me as soon as I got
- 6:46Speaker 4: off the car.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Yeah, he looked like the guy in the It's not
- 6:48Speaker 3: the guy in the video they've determined, but he looked
- 6:50Speaker 3: like it. And then the detective guy here was the
- 6:52Speaker 3: FBI agent in the Santa Cruz County and they told
- 6:56Speaker 3: me I was being detained for kidnapping. And I asked him,
- 6:58Speaker 3: I will kidnapping of who and told me just eighty.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I don't know her name and Nancy Guthrie, Yeah.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Sir, I told him I worked it two or something
- 7:07Speaker 5: for Glas.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I might have to deliver a backage your house, but
- 7:10Speaker 3: I cannot pay anybody.
- 7:11Speaker 1: They hold me from him from like four to right now.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Yeah, but they were able to determine he's not the guy,
- 7:17Speaker 3: so we'll see what happens. I think something's gonna break.
- 7:21Speaker 3: They're getting eighteen thousand tips. Takes time to run him down,
- 7:25Speaker 3: but but something could happen. Also, you know this demanding
- 7:31Speaker 3: bitcoin we've saw the two days ago they made a
- 7:35Speaker 3: three hundred dollars deposit into that bitcoin account and yesterday
- 7:38Speaker 3: one hundred dollars deposit. Now what's that all about. Well,
- 7:42Speaker 3: you may not realize this, but bitcoin can be traced
- 7:46Speaker 3: if you're using crypto to hide from the authorities, if
- 7:49Speaker 3: you're a drug dealer, hedge fund guy, paying off people that,
- 7:54Speaker 3: you know, whoever uses crypto for nefarious purposes. It can
- 7:59Speaker 3: be traced. I hate to break it to you. So
- 8:01Speaker 3: the way you trace it, they'll send a little amount
- 8:04Speaker 3: in there, like three hundred bucks or yesterday these one
- 8:07Speaker 3: hundred dollars, and once you send it to a bitcoin address,
- 8:10Speaker 3: it goes through the chain. It goes through the blockchain,
- 8:13Speaker 3: and it leaves footprints all over the place. You can
- 8:17Speaker 3: you can't do it, but the most sophisticated federal investigators
- 8:21Speaker 3: can trace it through the blockchain and see exactly where
- 8:24Speaker 3: it lands. So it is traceable. It's been done before.
- 8:29Speaker 3: So they are tracing the bitcoin as we speak. So
- 8:32Speaker 3: we'll see what develops. Hey, Hey, Tom Holman has announced
- 8:36Speaker 3: ICE is leaving Minnesota. It's over. They say they've arrested
- 8:40Speaker 3: about five six thousand dangerous criminals and they're getting the
- 8:43Speaker 3: hell out of there. You know, they ought to just
- 8:46Speaker 3: to thank Minnesota for their horrifying, awful reception. They ought
- 8:50Speaker 3: to take the six thousand criminals and just dump them
- 8:53Speaker 3: right in the middle of Minneapolis. Here's your criminals back,
- 8:55Speaker 3: here's your dangerous criminals. You want them back? Here they are, no,
- 8:58Speaker 3: but they're not going to do that. But it's the
- 9:01Speaker 3: end of ICE in Minnesota. They're leaving. They are, of course,
- 9:04Speaker 3: operating in many other cities on a much bigger scale
- 9:08Speaker 3: with no problem at all because local authorities cooperate. We
- 9:13Speaker 3: had Bruce Blakeman on the show the other day, who
- 9:16Speaker 3: should be the governor in November. He'd be the perfect governor.
- 9:19Speaker 3: But I said, you know, they're all over NASA. Kenna said,
- 9:22Speaker 3: how come we have no problems? He said, we cooperate.
- 9:24Speaker 3: We have full cooperation. We coordinate with them, We lend
- 9:28Speaker 3: them local help, police detectives, we even lend them jail cells.
- 9:31Speaker 3: We cooperate, and it's very They do pick up dangerous criminals.
- 9:34Speaker 3: If we cooperate and coordinate with them, it's orderly, it's very,
- 9:37Speaker 3: very peaceful. Now that's Bruce Plakeman, who would be a
- 9:40Speaker 3: great governor. But you got that kookie new Jersey governor,
- 9:44Speaker 3: the new one, Mikey Cheryl, who sounds like she's a
- 9:47Speaker 3: fourteen years old, but she's not going to cooperate with ICE.
- 9:51Speaker 6: I'm signing an executive order to ban ICE from launching
- 9:55Speaker 6: actions from any state property. That means no ice stage as,
- 10:00Speaker 6: no processing locations, no operating basis, no federal civil immigration
- 10:07Speaker 6: actions run from any state grounds, not our parks, not
- 10:12Speaker 6: our roadways, not our buildings.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Here you go.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Perfect. You want to come in here and arrest dangerous criminals,
- 10:20Speaker 3: you are not coming in here. We're not going to
- 10:22Speaker 3: let you do that here. Hey, the bad Bunny stuff continues.
- 10:26Speaker 3: I'm actually enjoying this bad Bunny stuff because I listen.
- 10:29Speaker 3: The halftime show was pretty good. I don't know what
- 10:31Speaker 3: Delly was singing about. Who could tell what he was singing? Hey,
- 10:34Speaker 3: But half the music today I can't understand what they're
- 10:36Speaker 3: saying either. But and it looked good. It was colorful,
- 10:40Speaker 3: moving dancing of the sets. The scenery was very well done,
- 10:44Speaker 3: very well done. It was great. But I mean, it
- 10:49Speaker 3: wouldn't have been my first choice Bad Bunny, but it
- 10:52Speaker 3: was worth it. Just all these lefties, all these liberals,
- 10:56Speaker 3: all these Democrats now have to run around pretending that
- 11:00Speaker 3: they're bad Bunny fans. They never heard of the guy
- 11:03Speaker 3: two weeks ago, but they're all running around trying to
- 11:06Speaker 3: convince you they're bad Bunny fans. Oh, I love bad Bunny.
- 11:08Speaker 3: I love Bad Bunny. You do Oh, I love Bad Bunny.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Name one song by him, You're racist? They just go crazy.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Even Jimmy Kimmel admits it.
- 11:17Speaker 1: This week, almost every liberal I know suddenly really.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Into Bad Bunny.
- 11:21Speaker 2: I mean people I've never heard say the words bad
- 11:25Speaker 2: or Bunny in their lives, like I can't wait for
- 11:28Speaker 2: Bad Bunny. Oh, what's your.
- 11:33Speaker 1: What's your favorite Bad Bunny song?
- 11:35Speaker 3: I don't know, but I love them. I love that.
- 11:39Speaker 3: It's true. They never heard of this guy three weeks ago.
- 11:41Speaker 3: When was the last time you heard anybody, any Democrat,
- 11:44Speaker 3: any liberal friend of yours say, Hey, we're going to
- 11:46Speaker 3: the Bad Bunny concert. Though we're gonna see Bad Bunny
- 11:49Speaker 3: in two weeks. They've never heard of this guy ever, ever, ever,
- 11:54Speaker 3: So uh, Mom, Donnie went to Albany to ask for
- 11:58Speaker 3: more taxes. It's already the highest tax place in America.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Taxes are already out of control. He's asking for more taxes.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Nobody can figure out why. When asked, he gave some
- 12:09Speaker 3: ridiculous explanation about, well, we're already the most expensive place
- 12:14Speaker 3: and might as well. They can't figure out how to
- 12:18Speaker 3: run things. You know, we have the most out of
- 12:20Speaker 3: controlled budget in New York City and New York State.
- 12:23Speaker 3: You know, the New York State budget is double the
- 12:26Speaker 3: budget of Florida. Double. Florida is a bigger state, it
- 12:31Speaker 3: has more major cities. Our budget is double. Florida has
- 12:34Speaker 3: a bigger population. Our budget is twice the budget of Florida.
- 12:38Speaker 3: New York Studies budget is like one hundred and twenty billion.
- 12:41Speaker 3: It should be forty billion. It's all wiste fraud, bloat.
- 12:44Speaker 3: You could easily cut it now, he implied yesterday, he's
- 12:47Speaker 3: done some cutting. We had a twelve billion dollar deficit
- 12:51Speaker 3: coming up.
- 12:51Speaker 2: We've lowered that twelve billion dollar gap to seven billion
- 12:54Speaker 2: dollars over two fiscal years.
- 12:57Speaker 3: So that's a three billion dollar cut every year. But again,
- 13:01Speaker 3: you could cut half the budget out without affecting anything.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Just stop the waist, the fraud, the bloat. It'd be
- 13:07Speaker 3: very easy. Not for a guy like mom Donnie. I mean,
- 13:10Speaker 3: in his defense, he's thirty two years old, he never
- 13:13Speaker 3: had a job before, he's never worked, he's never run anything.
- 13:16Speaker 3: But if you've brought in a top ceo, you brought
- 13:20Speaker 3: the other thing. You know, in New York City you
- 13:22Speaker 3: probably have the two hundred greatest CEOs in America. They're
- 13:26Speaker 3: all happy to help. You know, if you call a
- 13:28Speaker 3: guy like Jamie Diamond, if you're in New York City,
- 13:29Speaker 3: we need your help. Could you come down to city.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Guys like that would come right down and help you,
- 13:36Speaker 3: be happy to help you. If you said, you know,
- 13:37Speaker 3: our budget's got all kinds of waist and fraud and bloat.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Could you take a look at it, one of these
- 13:41Speaker 3: CEOs would send in a team the next day of
- 13:44Speaker 3: twenty top guys in the world to go through your
- 13:47Speaker 3: budget and get rid of the waist the fraud. It'd
- 13:49Speaker 3: be easy to do, but they're politicians. They're not going
- 13:54Speaker 3: to They don't want any help. They kind of like
- 13:56Speaker 3: that wasst and fraud and bloat. You know, guys like
- 13:59Speaker 3: Schumer and Mom Donnie, all these politicians, and there are
- 14:02Speaker 3: Republicans too, they can be just as bad. The the waste,
- 14:05Speaker 3: fraud and bloat comes out comes from giving out contracts
- 14:08Speaker 3: everywhere and kind of winking and nodding. You know you're
- 14:11Speaker 3: gonna overcharge us by three thousand percent. Go ahead, when
- 14:15Speaker 3: you're fixing the road or whatever, you want to take
- 14:17Speaker 3: five years longer. Go ahead, you want to put three
- 14:21Speaker 3: times as many peopil as you need to go ahead.
- 14:23Speaker 3: A lot of winking and nodding. Contracts are handed out,
- 14:26Speaker 3: and in exchange, the politicians get massive donations when they
- 14:31Speaker 3: want to run for something or when they got those
- 14:33Speaker 3: political packs. So that's always the deal. We'll get to
- 14:37Speaker 3: Pam BONDI coming up. That was pretty good. Uh and
- 14:41Speaker 3: lots more just ahead, and uh oh, Jimmy Fayala will
- 14:45Speaker 3: be with us a little later. We'll get to the economy.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Just ahead. We'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three
- 14:51Speaker 3: two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred
- 14:55Speaker 3: three two one zero seven ten. Now back to Mark.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Some are on w o R. Well, let's take some calls.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Let's go to Rudy. Could this be Rudy Julian Rudy
- 15:11Speaker 3: from Wempy. I don't think that's Rudy from Long Island. Rudy,
- 15:14Speaker 3: how you doing?
- 15:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm good.
- 15:17Speaker 5: I'm very good.
- 15:19Speaker 3: But do you wonder it sounds like you're inside a sofa?
- 15:22Speaker 3: You sound very muffled. Yeah, all right, I'll sound muffled too.
- 15:26Speaker 3: How's that?
- 15:28Speaker 5: I'm spanning my life and Long Island and Long Island,
- 15:33Speaker 5: Long Island.
- 15:33Speaker 2: New York.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Where do you live in Long Island Brainwood.
- 15:40Speaker 5: Yeah, I used to be a Democrat all my life.
- 15:42Speaker 5: When I've come in here to be yours from Dominican Republic,
- 15:45Speaker 5: I used to be Democrat, but I find out they
- 15:48Speaker 5: don't have no nothing, nothing for the community or the people.
- 15:52Speaker 4: If they just w.
- 15:55Speaker 3: That's not fair. They have crime, they bring you crime,
- 15:58Speaker 3: they bring your eye taxes they have to for you.
- 16:02Speaker 5: Yeah, so that was my say. You know, I changed
- 16:05Speaker 5: to Independent because I don't I don't like the way
- 16:09Speaker 5: they moved.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Yeah, now whatever, Rudy, what about your family, your friends,
- 16:13Speaker 3: they find the same thing. They're switching away from Democrats.
- 16:16Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I sweech to Independent because I don't see
- 16:20Speaker 5: they weren't even different than what I'm thinking. You know,
- 16:23Speaker 5: when I used to coming here, everything was good with
- 16:26Speaker 5: the Democrat, but now they only.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Changed to that good point. Good call, Rudy, thanks for calling.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Yet now I see there there were Bill Clinton Democrats,
- 16:34Speaker 3: common sense and good Democrats, and they don't know what
- 16:38Speaker 3: to do now because their party went way, way, way way,
- 16:41Speaker 3: not just to the left, but like to the Psycho Awards.
- 16:44Speaker 3: So let's go to Stuart in South Carolina. Stuart, how you.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Doing, Hey, Mark, how you doing?
- 16:49Speaker 3: Stuart Million?
- 16:50Speaker 2: Years.
- 16:50Speaker 3: You've been in law enforcement forever. You ever ever have
- 16:52Speaker 3: a kidnapping?
- 16:54Speaker 1: No, it's very very rare. You know, I've done this
- 16:56Speaker 1: sum with fifty years, and that's what I want to
- 16:58Speaker 1: talk about. You know, every day the human body sheds
- 17:01Speaker 1: about five hundred million to a billion skin cells up
- 17:04Speaker 1: to five billion, and every crime scene there is always evidence, always,
- 17:11Speaker 1: and you just have to find it. And I cannot
- 17:13Speaker 1: believe this guy who wrapped himself up would be dumb
- 17:16Speaker 1: enough to throw a glove out, you know, close to
- 17:19Speaker 1: the crime scene.
- 17:20Speaker 3: That just was well it wasn't that close. It was
- 17:22Speaker 3: a ways away. And you know he was probably sweating
- 17:24Speaker 3: to death in that suit in the hot Tucson weather
- 17:26Speaker 3: might out.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I mean, I understand that. But it's we had a
- 17:31Speaker 1: murder here. In fact, my friend of mine was killed.
- 17:34Speaker 1: We believe her husband did it. He was wrapped up
- 17:36Speaker 1: the same way. They never solved that case. I mean,
- 17:39Speaker 1: we know who killed her, but they didn't have the evidence.
- 17:42Speaker 1: So but you know, the FBI forensics is very very good.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I have a friend that's uh, in fact, she's she's
- 17:49Speaker 1: probably going to the FBI. She's a forensic scientist and
- 17:52Speaker 1: she just got a binguprint off a potato, which was
- 17:56Speaker 1: absolutely amazing. But yeah, you know, and you know what
- 18:01Speaker 1: my what my feelings are about this woman right now,
- 18:04Speaker 1: And you know, I hate to say that, but it's
- 18:06Speaker 1: been a good while. And as far as the bitcoin,
- 18:09Speaker 1: that makes no sense whatsoever. Like everything you said is correct.
- 18:13Speaker 1: You can trace that and FBI has has measures to
- 18:17Speaker 1: trace anything. It just say, a lot of this just
- 18:20Speaker 1: seemed stupid to me. It doesn't make any sense.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Hey. Well, you've been in law enforcement, you said, many years.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Have you seen many of the criminals you deal with
- 18:27Speaker 3: are incredibly stupid at being criminals?
- 18:29Speaker 1: Oh? Absolutely, they rob a bank, Mark, and they have
- 18:32Speaker 1: tail lights out, or they're speeding, or they run a
- 18:34Speaker 1: red light. They may as well put up a sign
- 18:36Speaker 1: saying I just robbed the bank, Please arrest me. They
- 18:38Speaker 1: are the dumbest people I've ever seen in my life.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Just so stupid. All right, Stuart, great call, thanks for calling.
- 18:44Speaker 3: Let's go to Rich in Myrtle Beach.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Rich How you doing, Hey, thanks, Mark, you're sitting around
- 18:49Speaker 2: watching women's curling in the Olympics, one of my favorite sports.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Well you're listen, where are you? You're in the Myrtle beach.
- 18:55Speaker 3: What else, Yeah, I get it. Nothing else to do there?
- 18:57Speaker 2: What else are you going to do? You know? He
- 19:00Speaker 2: still Tom Holman this morning and he was great. He says,
- 19:02Speaker 2: you know, we're pulling out, but the Ice office is
- 19:04Speaker 2: still going to be there, The fraud investigation is still
- 19:07Speaker 2: going to be there. We find illegal was still going
- 19:09Speaker 2: to take them. And I guess you heard about the
- 19:11Speaker 2: winning quarterback on this Seahawks has to pay seventy eight
- 19:15Speaker 2: thousand dollars for playing seven days in California. Why would
- 19:18Speaker 2: the NFL ever play super Bowl in California?
- 19:20Speaker 3: Well, but apparently there's like nine cities now, major cities
- 19:23Speaker 3: that have that stupid tax. They tax you to death.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Ye tax jock tax. So he made like what it
- 19:29Speaker 3: makes like one hundred and seventy thousand, but the taxes
- 19:32Speaker 3: like two hundred and ninety thousand. He actually loses it.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Yeah right, Well, only Democrats could come up with a
- 19:37Speaker 3: tax system where you pay one hundred and eighty percent
- 19:39Speaker 3: of the money for taxes. It's absolutely ridiculous. One more call,
- 19:45Speaker 3: Let's go to Pat in Scarsdale.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Pat, how you doing, Hey, Mark, how are you good?
- 19:50Speaker 4: You know rama Manuel when he was Barack Obama's right
- 19:54Speaker 4: hand man. He orders you to say, a crisis is
- 19:56Speaker 4: a terrible thing to waste. Yeah, and now Walls, he
- 20:00Speaker 4: ran out of one crisis. Now Holman's going to be
- 20:02Speaker 4: leaving there. So now he's going to be faced up
- 20:04Speaker 4: to the fraud crisis there and he's gonna I really
- 20:07Speaker 4: think he's gonna be in a hot seat along with
- 20:09Speaker 4: a lot of the other politicians.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Very good, Well, thanks for it. We like Scarsdale a
- 20:13Speaker 3: lot of great restaurants there. You got Martinez Bakery, which
- 20:16Speaker 3: is very good.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Oh the best.
- 20:17Speaker 3: That's the best. I take every ounce of strength to
- 20:21Speaker 3: keep walking by there. All right, thanks for calling. Yeah, Hey, Minnesota,
- 20:26Speaker 3: I know you're cheering. You got rid of Tom Holman.
- 20:28Speaker 3: He said, Ice is leaving. I know you're celebrating. I
- 20:31Speaker 3: hate to break it to you. If the ICE operations
- 20:33Speaker 3: are now over, that means that concentrate full time now
- 20:37Speaker 3: on the fraud investigation, looking into the fraud. There may
- 20:41Speaker 3: be a reason why Tim Waltz announced he's not going
- 20:43Speaker 3: to run for reelection and that he's leaving politics. But remember,
- 20:47Speaker 3: you got rid of Ice. Now it's one hundred percent
- 20:50Speaker 3: fraud investigation in Minnesota. Hey, when we come back the
- 20:54Speaker 3: hunt for Steve Moore. Actually, no, he's been pretty good.
- 20:57Speaker 3: He's been here. Steve Moore is one of the most
- 20:59Speaker 3: brill guys in the world, great economists, and he'll be
- 21:02Speaker 3: with us next on seven to ten. Wo aren't they.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Dogged into everything?
- 21:08Speaker 1: New York?
- 21:09Speaker 6: Mark Simone on sevent ten.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Woor Well, I like to bring you the smartest people
- 21:14Speaker 3: on earth, Steve Moore, the brilliant economist. Mate. Make sure
- 21:17Speaker 3: you have his book, his latest book, The Trump Economic Miracle.
- 21:21Speaker 3: It's an excellent book. And he runs the committee to
- 21:24Speaker 3: Unleashed Prosperity. They put out the best daily news and analysis,
- 21:28Speaker 3: best briefing it can get every day. It's free. It'll
- 21:30Speaker 3: come right to your email. Just go sign up for it.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Go to Unleashed Prosperity dot com. Steve Moore, how you
- 21:37Speaker 3: doing well?
- 21:39Speaker 2: Feeling good about things? Given the what happened with the
- 21:42Speaker 2: job support yesterday, Really good numbers on the economy. Economy
- 21:46Speaker 2: continues to expand, businesses are hiring again. And what I
- 21:51Speaker 2: love about the story, Mark, is that you know what
- 21:53Speaker 2: sector of the economy is shrinking?
- 21:57Speaker 3: Government?
- 21:58Speaker 2: Government? Oh goodment? Yeah, so private jobs are booming and
- 22:05Speaker 2: the and the and the government jobs are shrinking, so
- 22:09Speaker 2: we're draining the swamp in Washington. Federal employment continues to fall,
- 22:13Speaker 2: thank god, but the private sector numbers for hiring were
- 22:17Speaker 2: really good. So and by the way, wages were up
- 22:20Speaker 2: and the unemployment was down.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Oh, I don't know. I got the MSNBC on here.
- 22:26Speaker 3: It says we're in a big affordability crisis at Yeah.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Do you know that the last year, the average median
- 22:35Speaker 2: family income people in the exact metal they saw about
- 22:37Speaker 2: a twenty five hundred dollars increase in their above inflation incomes.
- 22:43Speaker 2: So what I mean, Look, I get it. People are
- 22:46Speaker 2: angry about the price of beef, and they're angry about
- 22:49Speaker 2: you know, the price of coffee, and they're angry about
- 22:51Speaker 2: you know, price of healthcare and housing. But if you
- 22:54Speaker 2: look overall, people have more money in their paychecks. And
- 22:58Speaker 2: by the way, that's partly because the big full bill,
- 23:01Speaker 2: as you know, I mean, people are starting to really
- 23:04Speaker 2: feel it now because they're withholding is starting an earnest
- 23:08Speaker 2: and so that means you're going to have less money
- 23:11Speaker 2: with help from your paycheck by the irs, which means
- 23:14Speaker 2: more money in your paycheck.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Yeah. Hey, now would you confirm Steve More that in
- 23:18Speaker 3: the Biden years, during the Biden administration, when they head
- 23:20Speaker 3: oh a good job number, it was because the government
- 23:23Speaker 3: would go out and hire people exactly.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Yes, And so I used to, you know, as you know, mark,
- 23:29Speaker 2: every first Friday of every month for the last ten years,
- 23:34Speaker 2: I've been doing this. You know, the jobs report comes
- 23:38Speaker 2: out on the first bride of the arounth although it
- 23:39Speaker 2: didn't this time. It came out on Wednesday because of
- 23:41Speaker 2: the government shutdown and they've been delayed.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Late in getting the data out.
- 23:44Speaker 2: But nonetheless, the during the Biden years, you know, we
- 23:49Speaker 2: get these jobs numbers, one hundred and fifty thousand jobs created, yay, hooray.
- 23:53Speaker 2: And then you look at the numbers and it's like
- 23:54Speaker 2: one hundred thousand more government shops. So we were increasing
- 23:57Speaker 2: government jobs and we were not seeing much grain gain
- 24:00Speaker 2: at all on five efector. And what we've done, we've
- 24:03Speaker 2: seen now is a rest where we're now shrinking the
- 24:05Speaker 2: government jobs and increasing fivate sector jobs, which is exactly
- 24:09Speaker 2: what we want unless you're a government employee.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's a much healthier way to run the economy.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Hey, the CEO of Ford yesterday puts out all these
- 24:19Speaker 3: numbers electric car. Electric vehicle sales were so bad it
- 24:23Speaker 3: brought down the whole bottom line of the company. And
- 24:26Speaker 3: he said, the customer has spoken. So what do we
- 24:31Speaker 3: conclude from that.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Well, that's an interesting thing because you know one of
- 24:36Speaker 2: the reasons that you know, basically under the Biden years,
- 24:39Speaker 2: they were trying to force feed people to buy to
- 24:42Speaker 2: buy electric vehicles with mandates saying you had to buy them,
- 24:45Speaker 2: and then all the subsidies to build them, et cetera,
- 24:47Speaker 2: et cetera, et cetera, and a lot of the big
- 24:50Speaker 2: auto manufacturers they brought into it, Oh yeah, let's build
- 24:52Speaker 2: all these these electric vehicles. And by the way, I'm
- 24:56Speaker 2: not against electric vehicles. I was just against by enforcing
- 24:59Speaker 2: people buy electric vehicles. And so what's happened now is
- 25:03Speaker 2: there's been you know, people have kind of revolted against that,
- 25:07Speaker 2: and for many reasons, people say, you know, we don't
- 25:11Speaker 2: want electricical By the way, I have a hybrid and
- 25:13Speaker 2: I love it, so you know, I'm not against the batteries,
- 25:16Speaker 2: but I but I also want to Yeah, I want
- 25:18Speaker 2: to make sure I don't run out of you know,
- 25:20Speaker 2: get a mountain and then don't have any juice left
- 25:24Speaker 2: in my in my battery. So the point is that
- 25:26Speaker 2: I always have said this that you know, people when
- 25:29Speaker 2: it comes to their cars, people want to choose themselves.
- 25:32Speaker 2: They don't want the government to choose the car for
- 25:34Speaker 2: them because we have a love affair with our cars
- 25:35Speaker 2: in America. And Trump, i mean Biden didn't seem to
- 25:38Speaker 2: understand that. And the more he tried to force people
- 25:41Speaker 2: to buy electric vehicles, the more people have revolted against
- 25:44Speaker 2: buying them. And so now you've got this huge surf
- 25:46Speaker 2: plus of electric vehicles that nobody wants to buy.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, we just had a weekend here where
- 25:51Speaker 3: it was like ten below zero. Your electric car doesn't
- 25:53Speaker 3: work when.
- 25:53Speaker 2: It's the exactly that's exactly right. So this is a
- 25:57Speaker 2: problem with evs is that they they're not going to
- 26:01Speaker 2: start when the temperature gets, you know, below ten degrees.
- 26:05Speaker 2: And by the way, in Washington, d C. A southern city,
- 26:07Speaker 2: we you know, the temperature for the last twenty days
- 26:09Speaker 2: has been below ten degrees. So you know, then you
- 26:13Speaker 2: can't get out of your driveway.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Yeah. Hey, we're talking earlier about the budgets. You know,
- 26:17Speaker 3: the budget in New York is ridiculous. It's like one
- 26:20Speaker 3: hundred and twenty billion. New York State's budget is double
- 26:22Speaker 3: that of Florida, even though we have less people. This
- 26:25Speaker 3: is all from contracts they hand out where we overpay
- 26:29Speaker 3: by ten million percent for everything we do in the government.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Politicians like handing out those contracts. Is there anything we
- 26:35Speaker 3: could ever do to fix this?
- 26:38Speaker 2: Well, what's going on the big story of America is
- 26:42Speaker 2: that these blue cities and blue states are just dying.
- 26:45Speaker 2: They're dying. And you know it's because I was in
- 26:48Speaker 2: New York earlier this week and talking a lot of
- 26:51Speaker 2: people in New York City, and they were frustrated because Mundonnie,
- 26:56Speaker 2: you know, hadn't even cleared away the snow, the garbage
- 26:59Speaker 2: wasn't being collected it. And I don't care what your ideology.
- 27:02Speaker 2: I don't care if you're left right, center, whatever you are, libertarian, socialist.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Everybody wants the public services to work. And yet Mandamie
- 27:10Speaker 2: has proven in just this first one thirty five days
- 27:13Speaker 2: in office he has no idea what he's doing. You
- 27:15Speaker 2: think it's it's not even ideology, it's incompetence.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it's unbelievable. Hey, we told you this before, too,
- 27:23Speaker 3: you know, they have this jock tax if you play football,
- 27:26Speaker 3: even if it's the super Bowl. Yeah, the guy made
- 27:29Speaker 3: one hundred and seventy thousand for playing the super Bowl
- 27:31Speaker 3: and his taxes were like two hundred and eighty thousand.
- 27:34Speaker 5: How is that?
- 27:34Speaker 3: How is that even legal?
- 27:36Speaker 2: The taxi more than a well, you know, and that
- 27:39Speaker 2: these are the jock taxes. You have to pay an
- 27:41Speaker 2: income tax if you play you know, a game in
- 27:45Speaker 2: a in a state that has eye income tax and so, uh,
- 27:50Speaker 2: the you're right. So now they're saying, well, we're gonna move.
- 27:53Speaker 2: We're not going to play the world the super Bowl
- 27:56Speaker 2: in these places with high tax anymore because the players
- 27:58Speaker 2: can't afford it. And by the way, a lot of
- 28:00Speaker 2: the players don't want to even play on teams you
- 28:03Speaker 2: know that are located in blue station cities like you know,
- 28:06Speaker 2: so that's a big tax on getting a winning team
- 28:09Speaker 2: back in New York.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Yeah, hey, but you're right. You know, we pay the
- 28:12Speaker 3: highest taxes in the world in New York City and
- 28:14Speaker 3: they can't even shovel snow, but shouldn't there.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Be a and they can't collect the garbage. I saw
- 28:21Speaker 2: that that everybody, I think you've probably seen it. It
- 28:24Speaker 2: went viral on the Internet of the rabbi out there
- 28:26Speaker 2: helping thee put the garbage in the truck because too,
- 28:34Speaker 2: I mean, you know, he's supposed to be this brilliant,
- 28:36Speaker 2: big thinker. He can't even get the garverage collected off
- 28:39Speaker 2: the street. I mean, I laugh at that, but it
- 28:41Speaker 2: just shows, you know, I would think Mondommie would say, look,
- 28:44Speaker 2: let me go around the city and you give these
- 28:47Speaker 2: speeches and about how great socialism, but put somebody in
- 28:50Speaker 2: charge who knows what they're doing and how to run something.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Yeah. Hey, in the next month or two, everybody will
- 28:55Speaker 3: start paying their taxes, doing their taxes for the year.
- 28:58Speaker 3: What's going to be the difference now with the big
- 29:00Speaker 3: beautiful bill.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Uh, well, people are gonna save a lot in terms
- 29:04Speaker 2: of the the withhold. They're going to pay a smaller
- 29:09Speaker 2: tax bill than they did last year. And I don't
- 29:11Speaker 2: know the exact numbers, but on average it's about one
- 29:14Speaker 2: thousand dollars saving. And it was just so ironic because
- 29:17Speaker 2: all the Democrats talk about is affordability, affordability, yet every
- 29:21Speaker 2: one of them voted against the tax cut.
- 29:25Speaker 3: And inflation. We're doing well, and what do you think
- 29:28Speaker 3: give us a growth forecast, a growth number for the
- 29:31Speaker 3: rest of the.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Oh, I'm going to give you the number that Donald
- 29:32Speaker 2: Trump gave. We're going to grow by fifteen percent this year.
- 29:37Speaker 2: By the way. I love that about Trump, don't you. Mark?
- 29:39Speaker 2: And I know you're close to Trump, and I talked
- 29:41Speaker 2: him about but uh, you know, he shoots for the move.
- 29:44Speaker 2: He told Larry Cutlow, you know we're gonna g fifteen
- 29:46Speaker 2: percent growth, because Larry said, do you think we can
- 29:48Speaker 2: get five percent growth? And he said fifteen percent? Well,
- 29:51Speaker 2: which would be like but but you know what, he
- 29:54Speaker 2: also said the same thing when you know when the
- 29:55Speaker 2: Dow Jones hit fifty thousand a couple of days ago,
- 29:58Speaker 2: by the way, when I first came to Washington forty
- 30:00Speaker 2: years ago, but that was at one thousand. Now it's
- 30:01Speaker 2: at fifty thousand.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Wow.
- 30:03Speaker 2: But the Trump said, you know, by the time I
- 30:07Speaker 2: leave office, and we don't know when that's going to be.
- 30:10Speaker 2: The time I leave office, we're gonna have now one
- 30:12Speaker 2: hundred thousand.
- 30:14Speaker 3: So I love it.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I love his optimism. I love that he shoots for
- 30:17Speaker 2: the moon.
- 30:17Speaker 3: Yeah. It's a great, great philosophy, great way to live too, well,
- 30:20Speaker 3: Steve Moore, great stuff and thanks for He's got an

- 30:49Speaker 2: snow yet in Washington show.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Okay, but when you read it you'll see why it
