  Speaker 1: I've been busy running to and fro, getting ready for Megafest. Busy, busy, busy, running, running, running.

  Speaker 1: Our series is called Favor Ain't Fair, and you're walking

  Speaker 1: in divine favor. I know you are. I hear from you.

  Speaker 1: I get your letters, and I see you on Twitter,
• 0:53
  Speaker 1: and I see you on Facebook. And I know that
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: God is doing some things in your life that are
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: totally unexplainable. That's why the haters hate you like they do,

  Speaker 1: because you're walking. And supernatural favor, I'm going to explain
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: it for you in just a minute. Because favor, it
• 1:06
  Speaker 1: ain't fair. God gives you provisions for purpose. Everything you've got,
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: your talent, your singing, your speaking, your ability, your charisma,
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: your articulation, your IQ, your financial dexterity.
• 1:21
  Speaker 2: It makes no difference what it is.
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: God gave you those favors. For his divine purpose. So
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: the statement reads in the Bible, drop some handfuls on purpose.

  Speaker 1: If you know your purpose, God said I'll leave stuff
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: just laying around for you.
• 1:51
  Speaker 2: If you know it's not for you.

  Speaker 1: I'll just leave some handfuls.

  Speaker 2: On your purpose. If you know your purpose.

  Speaker 1: If you don't allow people to manipulate you and control

  Speaker 1: you and have them move you into their agenda.

  Speaker 1: Your ground and stay on your purpose, your provision is

  Speaker 1: in your purpose. When you find your purpose, you'll find

  Speaker 1: And so what happens to you is you get to

  Speaker 1: this stage where God just starts leaving you blessings. And

  Speaker 1: the first reaction you have, you want to tell people. Child,

  Speaker 1: you will not believe. Have you ever called somebody and

  Speaker 1: you said, how you doing? What you doing? What's going on?

  Speaker 1: You didn't really want them to answer. You want them
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: to hurry up so you could.

  Speaker 2: Tell them.

  Speaker 1: You would not believe what just happened to me. I

  Speaker 1: was just, I was, I'm telling you, I just stopped

  Speaker 1: by the grocery store. Didn't even know I was over

  Speaker 1: there by the chicken wings. I was getting ready to
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: pick me up some chicken wings because I had to
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: rush back home. Ran into the president of Texaco. They're
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: getting some chicken wings. If I hadn't have gone to
• 3:16
  Speaker 1: get the chicken wings, I never would have met him.
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: Found out there's a position right over there. Now that
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: they're phasing out my job, had they not phased out
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: my job, had I not gone to get the chicken wings,
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: or had not he gone to get the chicken wings,
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: we never would have had this conversation. And without having
• 3:28
  Speaker 1: to go through all the red tape and all the technology,
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: you would never believe how God just.

  Speaker 2: God just....
• 3:39
  Speaker 1: You find yourself in a situation where it's difficult to
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: find anybody who understands the level of favor And it
• 3:47
  Speaker 1: is a level.
• 3:47
  Speaker 2: It is a level.

  Speaker 1: See, all of these steps, all of these steps are
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: the same size, but they're on different levels. See, there's
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: different levels of blessings. The pauper who was homeless found
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: a shelter and he says, my God is the provider.
• 4:15
  Speaker 1: The guy standing beside him just bought a $ 2. 5 million home.
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: And he says, my God is a provider. And both
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: of them are thankful and both of them are right.
• 4:25
  Speaker 1: And both of them receive provisions, but it's just different levels.
• 4:32
  Speaker 2: There are different levels of joy.
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: Different levels of peace, different levels of victory, different levels
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: of anointing. Everybody has an anointing, but it's not on
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: the same level. Every minister has a ministry, but it's
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: not on the same level. Every teacher can teach, but it's...
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: And so periodically, God wants to take you from faith
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: to faith, from glory to glory, He wants to take
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: you to the next level. And this is where the
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: church gets stuck. Because we get stuck on one level
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: of blessings. As if God were finished. Now I'm in
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: the tough part of this sermon. Excuse me.
• 5:36
  Speaker 2: This is the tough part.
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: Because once you've had some handfuls dropped on purpose, you
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: get hooked.
• 5:45
  Speaker 2: On the handfuls.
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: And if you're not careful, you'll become satisfied and complacent
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: to remain on that.
• 5:54
  Speaker 2: Level of living. When all the while, God has some more.

  Speaker 1: And inevitably, people get frustrated in life because what they
• 6:12
  Speaker 1: do is they fool around and get stuck on the
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: steps and fail to move into the next level of blessings. Now,
• 6:21
  Speaker 1: I'm going to give an illustration, a biblical illustration, and
• 6:23
  Speaker 1: then I'm going to give you an application, and then
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: I'm going to holler, and I'm going to get out
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: of here. The biblical illustration is Israel in the wilderness.
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: God does everything for them.
• 6:46
  Speaker 2: They say, we're thirsty. He makes water come out of
• 6:48
  Speaker 2: the rock. We're hot. He becomes a cloud above them
• 6:52
  Speaker 2: by day. At night, they say, we're in the desert.
• 6:54
  Speaker 2: It's cold.
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: He becomes a pillar of fire by night. They say,
• 6:57
  Speaker 1: we want some bread. He becomes manna falling from heaven.

  Speaker 1: They say, we're sick of bread. We want some meat.
• 7:01
  Speaker 1: He sends some quail. Come on, give them pheasant under glass.
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: Everything comes easy like the handfuls on purpose. It is
• 7:10
  Speaker 1: in essence welfare. Let me show you why welfare doesn't work.

  Speaker 1: Welfare is meant to be a temporary blessing for a
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: particular predicament so that you can get the fortitude to
• 7:31
  Speaker 1: rise to the next step And if you stay on
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: that level too long, it frustrates your development because it
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: is just enough. And you got it because you didn't
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: have not enough. But where God is trying to take
• 7:51
  Speaker 1: you is to more than enough. And if you get
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: stuck at just enough, you'll never get more than enough.
• 7:59
  Speaker 1: And if you never get more than enough, you'll never
• 8:01
  Speaker 1: become what God has for you to be. and what
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: happens to most people is that they become satisfied we're
• 8:20
  Speaker 1: still complacent complacent to live off of what somebody else
• 8:27
  Speaker 1: dropped I thank God for the droppings but I didn't
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: go through everything I went through Just to wait on
• 8:40
  Speaker 1: you to drop me something. I appreciate any help you

  Speaker 1: give me. Anything you do to reinforce me. I thank

  Speaker 1: you for giving me a ride to church. But I'm

  Speaker 1: a grown man.

  Speaker 2: And I want my own car.

  Speaker 1: You got to get to the point that you don't

  Speaker 1: want somebody else's stuff and you're ready to go to

  Speaker 1: the next level You are not want.

  Speaker 2: Somebody else's husband. You're not want somebody else's wife. Give

  Speaker 1: And so what happens is you got to get to

  Speaker 1: the point that you're ready to go to the next level.

  Speaker 1: Touch your neighbor and say, I'm getting ready to go

  Speaker 1: to the next level. You might not be able to
• 9:36
  Speaker 1: handle this, but I'm going to the next level. I
• 9:40
  Speaker 1: know you want me to stay gleaning behind you so
• 9:44
  Speaker 1: that we can become codependent so that you can feel
• 9:47
  Speaker 1: good about yourself because you need to be needed. But
• 9:50
  Speaker 1: I'm getting ready to go to the next level. now

  Speaker 1: let me show you how this is applicable to the
• 10:05
  Speaker 1: text Ruth is gleaming behind the Reapers in a field
• 10:14
  Speaker 1: that God meant for her to own And if you
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: read the book of Ruth from cover to cover, she
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: ends up owning the field that she was working in.
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: I don't know who I'm preaching to today. don't know
• 10:42
  Speaker 1: why you had to come to church this morning, but.

  Speaker 2: I came to tell you.
• 10:47
  Speaker 1: That where you're working now, you're going to own tomorrow.

  Speaker 2: God! Somebody's getting ready to go to another level. Touch

  Speaker 2: your neighbor and say, excuse me. I got to go
• 11:10
  Speaker 2: to the next level.

  Speaker 1: Can you imagine how this must have tripped these women out?
• 11:24
  Speaker 1: Because here these women were leaving something.
• 11:29
  Speaker 2: For a poor old, poor old roof. Poor old broke
• 11:34
  Speaker 2: down roof.
• 11:35
  Speaker 1: I guess we'll leave something for her. We're for a
• 11:37
  Speaker 1: broke self and a no-dressing self. She can't even get
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: her hair done and dresses on sideways. I guess we'll
• 11:44
  Speaker 1: help her sister out. And by the time we get
• 11:47
  Speaker 1: to the fourth chapter, the one who was behind them
• 11:51
  Speaker 1: had switched around and was in front of them. You
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: don't know how the story is going to end up.

  Speaker 2: God has a way.

  Speaker 1: first things God's going to let you see is that
• 12:13
  Speaker 1: favor ain't fair. When people first start helping you, they
• 12:16
  Speaker 1: want to see why God favored you. So they want
• 12:18
  Speaker 1: to get close to you so they can see if
• 12:20
  Speaker 1: there's something special about you. Then when they find out
• 12:22
  Speaker 1: there's nothing special about you, they get mad. But they
• 12:25
  Speaker 1: don't understand that favor ain't fair. It's just that God
• 12:28
  Speaker 1: sovereignly chooses to bless you. And anytime you bless whoever
• 12:32
  Speaker 1: God is blessing, the blessing boomerangs back. What arose in
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: America as the biggest event of its kind is back.
• 12:43
  Speaker 2: And now the stage is set. You have never seen
• 12:47
  Speaker 2: a meeting like this. Together again at Megafest 2013.

  Speaker 2: You're gonna catch abundance you're gonna catch god's blessing encouraging women.

  Speaker 1: Peacemaker is somebody who declares war on anything that disturbs

  Speaker 1: their peace there is a principle that will cause a

  Speaker 1: shift in your situation if he can deliver me he

  Speaker 1: can deliver you equipping men we have more fear in
• 13:14
  Speaker 1: running out than we do faith in running over everywhere

  Speaker 1: We had rented a few houses and assumed a house.

  Speaker 1: We never owned a house and I didn't own a

  Speaker 1: house because at first my credit was so bad.

  Speaker 2: I like to tell the truth. People call things the devil.

  Speaker 1: Anyway, so I started saving money so that when God

  Speaker 1: blessed me, We'd get a house. Every time we tried
• 14:14
  Speaker 1: to get a house, something went wrong. So I went
• 14:19
  Speaker 1: back to saving more money, tried again, something went wrong.
• 14:23
  Speaker 1: Every time I kept looking for a house, I kept
• 14:26
  Speaker 1: losing the deal. I didn't realize then that God was
• 14:30
  Speaker 1: closing doors because I was aiming too low. I was
• 14:45
  Speaker 1: aiming low because I knew what it was to have nothing.
• 14:50
  Speaker 1: And I'd have been glad to have anything. But God
• 14:54
  Speaker 1: wasn't glad for me to have just anything. It is
• 14:57
  Speaker 1: the Father's good pleasure to give unto you the kingdom.
• 15:00
  Speaker 1: And so everything that I would have been satisfied with
• 15:03
  Speaker 1: that was less than what he wanted me.
• 15:05
  Speaker 2: To have, he closed the door. So, I said that for.
• 15:20
  Speaker 1: Those of you who can't figure out why that door

  Speaker 1: just closed. The reason that door on the thing that
• 15:26
  Speaker 1: you was trying to get just closed is because you.

  Speaker 2: Were aiming too low.

  Speaker 1: If you would set your sights up where the word

  Speaker 1: of God says you're going to live, that's when God

  Speaker 1: is going. And so let me tell you what it is.

  Speaker 1: So Ruthie, the realtor, Back up there in West Virginia,

  Speaker 1: she's a realtor. She said, well, Mr. Jake, she says,

  Speaker 1: there is another house. I'll just drive you over there
• 15:56
  Speaker 1: and let you take a look at it and see
• 15:57
  Speaker 1: what you think about that house.

  Speaker 2: That's the way she talked, you know. So I said,
• 16:02
  Speaker 2: all right. So she drove me over there.
• 16:05
  Speaker 1: We drove up through a little underground railroad or something
• 16:10
  Speaker 1: and came up on the other side of the ground.

  Speaker 2: And we came around the corner and there was this.

  Speaker 1: And you know how you don't want to let the
• 16:28
  Speaker 1: person know that this is ridiculous. Because, you know, even
• 16:33
  Speaker 1: if I couldn't pay for it, there was no need
• 16:34
  Speaker 1: in embarrassing myself. So I tried to sit there and
• 16:37
  Speaker 1: be cool.
• 16:37
  Speaker 2: I said, ooh.
• 16:50
  Speaker 1: There was no for sale sign on the lot because,
• 16:52
  Speaker 1: you know, those kind of houses, you don't have to
• 16:54
  Speaker 1: do that.
• 16:54
  Speaker 2: And there was no for sale sign out there.
• 16:57
  Speaker 1: And she knocked on the door and the lady opened
• 17:00
  Speaker 1: up the door, you know. She came to the door
• 17:03
  Speaker 1: and opened up the door. And we came in and
• 17:06
  Speaker 1: they proceeded to show me the house. Halfway through the house,
• 17:11
  Speaker 1: I looked up. They didn't even hear me. I looked
• 17:13
  Speaker 1: in the middle of the hallway of the house.
• 17:15
  Speaker 2: I said, God. You mean I can have it?
• 17:36
  Speaker 1: See, it was hard for me to understand that all
• 17:39
  Speaker 1: of this other stuff that I was snatching for, the
• 17:42
  Speaker 1: reason it didn't work is that he had something better.
• 17:47
  Speaker 1: Sometimes things don't work out because God has something better.
• 17:51
  Speaker 1: And if you will allow him to shut the door
• 17:54
  Speaker 1: on what he doesn't want, then he can open the
• 17:57
  Speaker 1: door on what he does want.
• 17:59
  Speaker 2: I don't know who I'm talking to today.

  Speaker 1: But touch a neighbor and tell them God's got something better.

  Speaker 2: Here's the thing.

  Speaker 1: I'm not trying to finish because I figured out at

  Speaker 1: 8 o'clock I couldn't finish it. In between the second

  Speaker 1: chapter where she's gleaning behind the reapers and the fourth

  Speaker 1: chapter where she ends moving from stewardship into ownership, she
• 18:47
  Speaker 1: encounters the ministry of Naomi, an older woman who becomes
• 18:54
  Speaker 1: a mentor and a coach to her.
• 18:57
  Speaker 2: You need a coach.

  Speaker 1: If you ever get into bodybuilding and you're in the
• 19:05
  Speaker 1: gym and you're working out and all of a sudden

  Speaker 1: you plateau, you need a trainer. They don't have to

  Speaker 1: lift the weight. You just need somebody to get in
• 19:18
  Speaker 1: you and say, come on.
• 19:21
  Speaker 2: Come on. Come on. Come on.
• 19:23
  Speaker 1: Come on.
• 19:24
  Speaker 2: Come on. Give me five more. Come on.

  Speaker 2: You got it in you. Come on. Come on. You

  Speaker 2: Reach out. Come on. Come on. It's in you. Come on.

  Speaker 2: Reach for it. Reach.

  Speaker 1: Without a coach, you'll plateau on this level when you

  Speaker 1: really have the potential to come up to that level.

  Speaker 1: And what Naomi did, for Ruth was teach her how

  Speaker 1: to make it.

  Speaker 2: Happen.

  Speaker 1: Whatever God did in Ruth was so strong that Naomi
• 20:05
  Speaker 1: who was an old wrinkled up mother-in-law who was getting
• 20:09
  Speaker 1: ready to die, depressed, came on back and Naomi got
• 20:14
  Speaker 1: a new lease on life trying to help Ruth fulfill
• 20:19
  Speaker 1: her dream. I want to say something to older women
• 20:22
  Speaker 1: and older men and not just older in age but
• 20:25
  Speaker 1: more seasoned in experience because some people get older but
• 20:29
  Speaker 1: they don't get wiser. Listen to this, just because your
• 20:35
  Speaker 1: purpose changes and you're no longer needed to serve in
• 20:39
  Speaker 1: the capacity that you once did, doesn't mean that God
• 20:43
  Speaker 1: doesn't have a new assignment for you. Naomi was no
• 20:47
  Speaker 1: longer required to be a wife or a mother. She
• 20:50
  Speaker 1: was now called to be a mentor. And if you
• 20:53
  Speaker 1: don't make that transition, you'll go through frustration. They'll think
• 20:56
  Speaker 1: it's menopause, but it's a purpose pause. Naomi started just
• 21:10
  Speaker 1: wanting to bless Ruth to see her reach her goal.
• 21:15
  Speaker 2: And what happened?
• 21:16
  Speaker 1: Anytime you help somebody that God has favored. Now understand,
• 21:26
  Speaker 1: when you start helping them, one of the first things
• 21:28
  Speaker 1: God's going to let you see is that favor ain't fair.
• 21:31
  Speaker 1: When people first start helping you, they want to see
• 21:33
  Speaker 1: why God favored you. So they want to get close
• 21:36
  Speaker 1: to you so they can see if there's something special
• 21:37
  Speaker 1: about you. Then when they find out there's nothing special
• 21:40
  Speaker 1: about you, they get mad. But they don't understand that
• 21:42
  Speaker 1: favor ain't fair. It's just that God sovereignly chooses to
• 21:46
  Speaker 1: bless you. And anytime you bless whoever God is blessing,
• 21:50
  Speaker 1: the blessing boomerangs back. Naomi didn't even know that she
• 21:58
  Speaker 1: was being healed while she was helping Ruth. She was
• 22:01
  Speaker 1: being redirected while she was helping Ruth. And the Bible
• 22:04
  Speaker 1: says that when Ruth, see Ruth married Boaz and begat Obed.
• 22:13
  Speaker 1: And Obed begat Jesse. And Jesse begat David. And out
• 22:18
  Speaker 1: of David came Jesus. Which basically means Jesus' great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grand-grandmama came
• 22:35
  Speaker 1: out to projects.
• 22:38
  Speaker 2: That's basically what that means. Root comes from the hood.

  Speaker 1: But God does the almighty through the least likely, doesn't he?
• 22:55
  Speaker 1: And what happened was when Naomi started blessing Ruth, the
• 23:00
  Speaker 1: Bible says when Ruth had her baby, Naomi took that
• 23:04
  Speaker 1: baby and that old, leathery, wrinkled up woman, her breasts
• 23:10
  Speaker 1: became filled with milk. And she, who was past childbearing age,
• 23:19
  Speaker 1: started nursing a baby that she didn't even have. Because
• 23:24
  Speaker 1: there was so much life in the person she blessed.
• 23:33
  Speaker 1: That Naomi spent the rest of her life nursing Ruth's baby.
• 23:42
  Speaker 1: If you bless somebody, that God is blessing. God will
• 23:46
  Speaker 1: give you a job nursing what they had. And the
• 23:50
  Speaker 1: miracle is... When God puts you in that position, he'll
• 23:55
  Speaker 1: give you milk when you weren't even supposed to have none.
• 24:00
  Speaker 1: He'll release blessings in your life that are mind-boggling. And
• 24:02
  Speaker 1: people will look at you and say, what you doing
• 24:06
  Speaker 1: nursing with your old self?
• 24:10
  Speaker 2: And you tell them, if it had not been for
• 24:14
  Speaker 2: the Lord.

  Speaker 1: That was on my side, I would have been swallowed
• 24:22
  Speaker 1: up But look what the Lord has done.
