- 0:59Speaker 1: Dooley because she's the leader of the pack around here, man.
- 1:02Speaker 1: She's the queen bee. And Bobbi is here with Steve
- 1:06Speaker 1: from the month of September 2004. She wants schools to
- 1:09Speaker 1: check students to see if they're wearing thong underwear. And
- 1:11Speaker 1: since they're probably not doing that, she's doing it because
- 1:14Speaker 1: she's the president of the Homeowners Association and the PTO,
- 1:16Speaker 1: et cetera, et cetera. With Steve standing there making a
- 1:20Speaker 1: record of it, Bobbi lifts the skirt of these girls
- 1:23Speaker 1: with a ruler or some kind of a Car Ariel,
- 1:26Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. And then, you know,
- 1:28Speaker 1: makes it, hey, Steve, no, she isn't.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yes, she is. Well, how do you think parents react
- 1:33Speaker 2: to this? Let's listen.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Bobby Dooley of the Western Estates Parent Teacher Organization joins us.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Ms.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Dooley is the president, along with her husband, who is
- 1:45Speaker 1: the recording secretary. She joins us from Western Estates this evening.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I saw, Bobby, first of all, thank you for joining us.
- 1:52Speaker 4: It's always a pleasure, Phil. And Steve wanted to also
- 1:55Speaker 4: mention to you that he heard the, or I should
- 2:00Speaker 4: say he read the piece that you did for the
- 2:02Speaker 4: Los Angeles Times. He was very impressed.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I want to ask both of you guys, I saw
- 2:09Speaker 1: where young girls are being.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Searched at schools for inappropriate clothing.
- 2:14Speaker 1: And there are an awful lot of parents that are
- 2:16Speaker 1: just down on this, and I know you're dealing with
- 2:19Speaker 1: this in your school district, and how you're dealing with
- 2:22Speaker 1: it I think is probably the subject matter we want
- 2:25Speaker 1: to get into.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Well, Phil, not to interrupt you.
- 2:29Speaker 2: No, go ahead.
- 2:30Speaker 4: We have been seeing more and more parents allowing their
- 2:33Speaker 4: young girls in the 13 to 17-year-old age range to
- 2:38Speaker 4: wear inappropriate clothing to school.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Give us all an example of what that is.
- 2:43Speaker 4: The most obvious example, of course, is the clearly visible
- 2:46Speaker 4: thong underwear that will ride up the back from the
- 2:50Speaker 4: jeans or from a short skirt. I don't know if
- 2:52Speaker 4: you've seen this. I have.
- 2:54Speaker 2: It's like a little bit of a fashion statement these
- 2:56Speaker 2: days for young girls.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Well, first of all, it's not appropriate for young girls
- 3:00Speaker 4: to wear this to school. I don't think a lot
- 3:05Speaker 4: of women can pull the look off as far as
- 3:07Speaker 4: fashion goes today. So we have, on one hand, young
- 3:10Speaker 4: girls that are wearing this look to school, which is
- 3:11Speaker 4: totally unacceptable. And we also have their mothers, older women
- 3:15Speaker 4: or younger women, making themselves look a little ridiculous trying
- 3:19Speaker 4: to emulate this look. And I said so at our
- 3:22Speaker 4: PTO meeting.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Now, that was your first PTO meeting this year, right?
- 3:26Speaker 4: Yes, it was.
- 3:27Speaker 2: So we have two different issues here.
- 3:29Speaker 1: The inappropriateness of wearing this at school for girls and
- 3:33Speaker 1: the fact that older women.
- 3:34Speaker 2: You say it looks a little ridiculous?
- 3:36Speaker 4: Unless you can pull it off. Steve and I work
- 3:38Speaker 4: out quite a bit. I've gone from, oh my God,
- 3:40Speaker 4: I've gone from yoga to Pilates to back to yoga.
- 3:43Speaker 4: I do some weight training. I watch what I eat,
- 3:46Speaker 4: and it happens that in my case, and in a
- 3:48Speaker 4: select few other cases, I can pull it off.
- 3:52Speaker 1: You can wear the thong underwear, like, visible?
- 3:55Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a fashion statement where you pull the thong
- 3:57Speaker 4: up high, and so a man or people can see
- 4:02Speaker 4: your thong underwear, and If you can pull it off,
- 4:05Speaker 4: what we are very concerned about, here's what my husband
- 4:10Speaker 4: really wanted to say, and I related this at the
- 4:12Speaker 4: PTO meeting. If you are a mother of one of
- 4:15Speaker 4: these girls and you want to wear the thong up
- 4:18Speaker 4: out of your jeans or whatever, no one can stop
- 4:21Speaker 4: you from looking a little pathetic and a little bit
- 4:24Speaker 4: foolish unless, of course, you can pull it off. But
- 4:26Speaker 4: your daughter's wearing this visible thong is unacceptable. And we
- 4:31Speaker 4: have made that statement.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Now, the parents were wrestling with what to do about
- 4:36Speaker 1: it because many parents don't want school personnel physically searching
- 4:39Speaker 1: their daughters or handling their children.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Is that correct?
- 4:41Speaker 4: That is correct, yes. And we talked about it, and
- 4:44Speaker 4: we were a little bit at a logger jam when
- 4:47Speaker 4: Steve asked the question, why couldn't a non-teacher and also
- 4:52Speaker 4: a non-parent but someone involved with the school do it?
- 4:56Speaker 4: Because you want to be able to rely on the
- 4:58Speaker 4: parents to exercise good judgment, and unfortunately that's a pipe
- 5:01Speaker 4: dream in a lot of cases. and I certainly understand
- 5:04Speaker 4: the reluctance to have some school official do it. Our
- 5:07Speaker 4: suggestion was a simple one and one that we have
- 5:09Speaker 4: given a trial run to. I am the president of
- 5:13Speaker 4: our parent-teacher organization. I am not a teacher. I do
- 5:17Speaker 4: have children in the school, but they are boys, so
- 5:19Speaker 4: I'm not personally connected. I have been on campus the
- 5:23Speaker 4: last four days at the student entrance near the parking lot,
- 5:26Speaker 4: and I am doing a cursory check of the girls myself.
- 5:29Speaker 2: All right, now that could be explosive.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Though, too.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Why do you feel that way? I'm curious because we've
- 5:36Speaker 4: had great success.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Well, you're not a school official, and I know a
- 5:41Speaker 1: lot of parents don't want school officials checking their daughters
- 5:43Speaker 1: to see if they're wearing appropriate underclothing.
- 5:45Speaker 2: You're not a parent of one of the girls.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You're a parent of a boy, but you're still kind
- 5:50Speaker 1: of an outsider and checking the girl's clothing.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Well, a lot of the people that are upset about
- 5:59Speaker 4: it or complaining about it, They don't like the fact
- 6:02Speaker 4: that I suppose I can pull the look off myself.
- 6:05Speaker 4: A lot of these mothers are sort of living vicariously
- 6:08Speaker 4: through their daughters. And all we're doing is simply taking
- 6:10Speaker 4: a look at the back of the slack of the
- 6:12Speaker 4: skirt to see if there is a thong underwear riding up.
- 6:15Speaker 4: And I do ask the girls to lift their skirts
- 6:17Speaker 4: to ascertain if they're wearing underwear. And we also want
- 6:20Speaker 4: to make sure the girls are wearing a slip or
- 6:22Speaker 4: something appropriate.
- 6:24Speaker 2: And you have received complaints?
- 6:25Speaker 4: We have not received as many complaints as we thought
- 6:27Speaker 4: we would, no.
- 6:30Speaker 2: All right, 1-800-449-8686, 1-800-449-8686.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Bobbi Dooley with us from the Western States Parent Teacher
- 6:37Speaker 1: Organization to try to offset a problem of school officials
- 6:40Speaker 1: searching girls to make sure they're wearing appropriate underwear. She's
- 6:44Speaker 1: a parent, and she's doing it. You call this on
- 6:47Speaker 1: a volunteer basis, right?
- 6:49Speaker 4: Absolutely, Phil. We are not paid by the school district.
- 6:51Speaker 4: This is entirely volunteer on the part of my husband
- 6:54Speaker 4: and myself. And believe me when I tell you it's
- 6:57Speaker 4: the least intrusive and ultimately the least... legally risky thing
- 7:02Speaker 4: that you can do.
- 7:02Speaker 1: As the president of the parent-teacher organization, I know you
- 7:06Speaker 1: have duties and responsibilities pertaining to the school, but doing
- 7:09Speaker 1: clothing inspection, isn't that a little bit unusual?
- 7:12Speaker 4: It is very unusual, Phil, but unfortunately we live in
- 7:15Speaker 4: a world where if a teacher does it, the school
- 7:17Speaker 4: is sued. The parents often let their daughters out of
- 7:20Speaker 4: the house looking like, you know, these women on The
- 7:24Speaker 4: Bachelor or one of these shows, everything hanging out. So
- 7:28Speaker 4: you can't rely on them. How then do you stop
- 7:31Speaker 4: these girls from wearing this inappropriate thong underwear? We can
- 7:35Speaker 4: do it. And as the president, I can do these inspections,
- 7:37Speaker 4: and people aren't going to get upset. I talked with
- 7:39Speaker 4: one mother who called me after I found that her
- 7:42Speaker 4: daughter had come to school without any underwear on. And
- 7:46Speaker 4: she said, Bobby, I want to thank you. I've got
- 7:48Speaker 4: a very hard time keeping my daughter in line, and
- 7:51Speaker 4: I'm glad you're a parent that can do this.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Can I ask you, without getting too graphic, You're not
- 7:57Speaker 1: a teacher. You are just a parent who shows up
- 7:59Speaker 1: at the school. You're checking the girls to see that
- 8:01Speaker 1: they're not wearing inappropriate thong underwear or at least that
- 8:04Speaker 1: they're wearing appropriate underwear.
- 8:06Speaker 2: How do you do this?
- 8:07Speaker 4: This is done near the student entrance from the parking lot.
- 8:10Speaker 4: The girls' laboratory is there. We do it in privacy.
- 8:13Speaker 4: I do not touch the girls at all. As a
- 8:17Speaker 4: matter of fact, I use a ruler, which is just
- 8:18Speaker 4: a regular 12-inch ruler. And I will ask the girl,
- 8:22Speaker 4: if I notice that a girl is wearing thong underwear,
- 8:25Speaker 4: I will then... Tell her that she needs to go
- 8:28Speaker 4: home and change that. If not, then I will lift
- 8:32Speaker 4: the skirt with the ruler. If I don't see a slip,
- 8:35Speaker 4: then I will lift the skirt up to see if
- 8:36Speaker 4: there's underwear. And we have been doing this.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Now, you said we.
- 8:41Speaker 5: You and.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Myself and my husband, Steve.
- 8:44Speaker 1: And your husband is present when you're lifting up these girls'
- 8:47Speaker 1: skirts to see if they're wearing underwear?
- 8:51Speaker 4: You know something, Phil? I... I can hear it in
- 8:54Speaker 4: your voice, and I really want to.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Well, I want to ask you right away. Do you
- 8:57Speaker 1: think it's appropriate that a man... First of all, I
- 8:58Speaker 1: don't know that it's appropriate that you're doing it.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Secondly.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Well, I can tell you it's entirely appropriate. I wouldn't
- 9:06Speaker 4: want you to get over your head legally here. I
- 9:09Speaker 4: am the president of the parent-teacher organization. I'm using a
- 9:13Speaker 4: regular ruler that is found in school. I'm lifting the
- 9:16Speaker 4: hem of the skirt as far up as I have
- 9:19Speaker 4: to to see if the girl has underwear on.
- 9:23Speaker 2: But your husband's there. Now, how appropriate is that?
- 9:26Speaker 4: My husband is a father. He is a taxpayer. He
- 9:31Speaker 4: is the recording secretary of our parent-teacher organization. Men are
- 9:35Speaker 4: involved in all kinds of work. This is very non-sexual.
- 9:40Speaker 4: This is protecting our children and our schools.
- 9:43Speaker 2: All right, I've got to tell you, Ms. Dooley, and
- 9:45Speaker 2: you're going to hear this from parents. I'm a father.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I've got a 12-year-old. Actually, my daughter just turned 13.
- 9:52Speaker 1: If a mother is there from the school checking to
- 9:54Speaker 1: see if girls are wearing underwear, maybe that's one thing,
- 9:56Speaker 1: but she's standing there with her husband.
- 9:59Speaker 4: That's because you have been trained in a society that
- 10:02Speaker 4: regrettably believes that every man who is trying to help
- 10:06Speaker 4: a young girl, a young girl dress appropriately or behave
- 10:10Speaker 4: appropriately or be a good student, he is suddenly a pervert.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Yes, Steve. It's not a physical event. I just try
- 10:18Speaker 5: to make sure they're wearing underwear. That's all.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Steve is there as a recording secretary. Really, Philip, the
- 10:24Speaker 4: root of this problem are all of these women who
- 10:26Speaker 4: are parents of these girls. The thong look is something
- 10:30Speaker 4: that either you can pull it off or you can't.
- 10:33Speaker 4: There are some women who are very heavy, and they
- 10:36Speaker 4: try to wear a thong up over their jeans. They
- 10:39Speaker 4: look pathetic. I happen to wear it.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Now, that's another thing.
- 10:44Speaker 1: How can you say to a girl who's walking into
- 10:46Speaker 1: school with her thong underwear visible over her jeans or skirt,
- 10:50Speaker 1: how can you say you've got to go home and
- 10:52Speaker 1: change that while you're wearing the exact same thing?
- 10:55Speaker 4: I'll tell you how, Phil. When I was a little girl,
- 10:58Speaker 4: my mother used to say something that I'll never forget.
- 11:00Speaker 4: She used to say to me, do as I say,
- 11:02Speaker 4: not as I do.
- 11:04Speaker 5: Boy, that's so true.
- 11:06Speaker 4: That is something that has been lost in the ages, Phil,
- 11:10Speaker 4: something that parents don't do. Do as I say, not
- 11:13Speaker 4: as I do. I'm not there to have a discussion
- 11:15Speaker 4: with them.
- 11:16Speaker 1: But what is the message when you're wearing the thong
- 11:18Speaker 1: underwear and you're telling the girls to go home because
- 11:21Speaker 1: they're wearing it? And on top of that, what's the
- 11:23Speaker 1: message of you checking to see if they're wearing underwear
- 11:25Speaker 1: with a husband standing there?
- 11:27Speaker 4: You know something, Phil? Steve is simply recording information. He
- 11:32Speaker 4: is not watching. He's not staring as I'm lifting the
- 11:35Speaker 4: skirt up and doing my inspection. He is simply, I'm
- 11:39Speaker 4: telling him the girl's name. whether she's wearing underwear or not.
- 11:43Speaker 4: And this information then goes to our school board. All right.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Bobby Dooley with us. And, Bobby, so people know, you're
- 11:49Speaker 2: not a teacher. You're just a member of the parent-teacher organization,
- 11:52Speaker 2: and you are checking to see if girls are wearing
- 11:54Speaker 2: underwear before they go into school. This is a problem
- 11:57Speaker 2: that's happening across the country. How do you check to
- 12:00Speaker 2: see if girls are wearing appropriate underclothing? If they're wearing
- 12:03Speaker 2: thong underwear and it's riding up over their skirt or
- 12:05Speaker 2: their jeans, is that appropriate?
- 12:07Speaker 1: At this school, it's not appropriate. But no teacher wants
- 12:10Speaker 1: to do the inspection. The school doesn't want to do it. Ms.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Dooley has taken on the opportunity, the opportunity, the job
- 12:16Speaker 1: of doing it because she's a parent. She is taking
- 12:20Speaker 1: girls aside where she sees they're wearing thong underwear, or
- 12:23Speaker 1: if she doesn't think they're wearing underwear, she's lifting their
- 12:25Speaker 1: skirt and inspecting. Now, she is a female. She doesn't
- 12:29Speaker 1: have a daughter in the school. She's got three sons.
- 12:33Speaker 1: All in still, and not only that, but she's wearing
- 12:36Speaker 1: a thong underwear.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Herself, I think she said.
- 12:38Speaker 4: 1-800-449-8686.
- 12:38Speaker 1: If your daughter goes to school wearing inappropriate underwear, is
- 12:45Speaker 1: it okay with you if another parent checks to make
- 12:48Speaker 1: sure she's wearing the right kind of underwear?
- 12:50Speaker 2: The Phil Henry Show. Phil Henry Show.
- 12:52Speaker 4: It's going to take a pretty significantly large period of time.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Phil Henry Show is back.
- 13:02Speaker 1: We're back with Bobby and Steve Dooley of the Western
- 13:03Speaker 1: Estates Homeowners Association. We're talking about girls going to high
- 13:07Speaker 1: school these days or middle school wearing inappropriate clothing, underwear specifically.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I know in San Diego there was a whole furor
- 13:15Speaker 1: over teachers checking to see if the girls were wearing
- 13:18Speaker 1: thong underwear.
- 13:19Speaker 4: Absolutely so, and that's why we took the step that
- 13:22Speaker 4: we did at Western Estates because they don't want teachers
- 13:26Speaker 4: involved in this kind of thing. And the parents... who
- 13:30Speaker 4: allow their children to go to school dressed this way,
- 13:33Speaker 4: leave us no choice but to have to do an
- 13:37Speaker 4: on-site inspection. And they leave me no choice but, as
- 13:41Speaker 4: the president of the parent-teacher organization, to do it. And
- 13:44Speaker 4: you asked a very good question. You say, I am
- 13:47Speaker 4: wearing thong underwear. Yes, I am. I can pull the
- 13:52Speaker 4: look off. I do take care of myself. But it
- 13:55Speaker 4: is not appropriate for young girls. I don't even think
- 13:58Speaker 4: it's appropriate for women my age, unless you can pull
- 14:00Speaker 4: the look off, that's all.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Pulling the look off, meaning?
- 14:04Speaker 4: Meaning you look good with the thong riding up, and
- 14:09Speaker 4: you've got the figure for it. But it's entirely inappropriate
- 14:12Speaker 4: for young girls.
- 14:15Speaker 2: All right, 1-800-449-8686.
- 14:16Speaker 5: And Ms.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Dooley, just to be clear, you are checking to see
- 14:18Speaker 1: if these girls are wearing underwear by lifting the hems
- 14:20Speaker 1: of their skirts with a ruler or yardstick with your
- 14:24Speaker 1: husband present.
- 14:25Speaker 4: My husband is not. I want to be very clear
- 14:27Speaker 4: about something, because you've alluded to this, and I think
- 14:30Speaker 4: you're alluding to it in a very slanderous way.
- 14:33Speaker 2: No, ma'am, I'm not. I'm trying to get the facts.
- 14:35Speaker 4: No, you are, Phil. My husband is not ogling these girls.
- 14:39Speaker 4: He stands with his back to the girls. He has
- 14:42Speaker 4: a notepad. He has the names of the different girls,
- 14:46Speaker 4: whether they have underwear on, whether they don't, what kind
- 14:49Speaker 4: of underwear, and so on. This information then goes to
- 14:52Speaker 4: the school board. All right, 1-800-449-8686.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Stephanie, go ahead.
- 14:57Speaker 1: You're on the Phil Hendry Show with Bobby Dooley of
- 15:00Speaker 1: the Western Estates Parent Teacher Organization.
- 15:03Speaker 6: Yes, well, just to let you know that in high
- 15:05Speaker 6: school I wore long underwear. And I didn't wear it
- 15:08Speaker 6: because I didn't, you know, it was to be sexy
- 15:12Speaker 6: or anything. I wore it because I liked the way
- 15:14Speaker 6: that it fit. And as a parent, it is my
- 15:17Speaker 6: position and mine only to know whether my underwear, my
- 15:20Speaker 6: child's underwear fits. It is not anybody else's place.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Well, it's not appropriate for them to wear it to
- 15:26Speaker 4: high school. Well, that's for.
- 15:27Speaker 6: Me to decide, not for some parent, not for somebody
- 15:30Speaker 6: else to sit there and decide and to lift my
- 15:32Speaker 6: daughter's skirt to see if she's wearing underwear. If she's not,
- 15:35Speaker 6: that is something that I need to.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Deal with, not you. Stephanie, if you're not taking responsibility
- 15:39Speaker 4: for your daughter, society has to. And so we have to.
- 15:43Speaker 6: But that is not something for you to decide.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Well, unfortunately.
- 15:46Speaker 5: That.
- 15:46Speaker 6: Is something for me to figure out and not you.
- 15:48Speaker 4: Well, unfortunately, the schools do have dress codes and many
- 15:50Speaker 4: of them.
- 15:51Speaker 6: And that is going very finely on the line, sexual harassment,
- 15:54Speaker 6: and for your husband to be in there.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Excuse me, sexual harassment? What are you referring to? I
- 15:58Speaker 4: am checking so that mothers like yourself who send their
- 16:02Speaker 4: daughters off to school not wearing underwear or wearing adult-style underwear...
- 16:08Speaker 4: are not going into a school, a place of learning,
- 16:10Speaker 4: wearing it. My husband is there because there is a
- 16:14Speaker 4: shortage of concerned parents.
- 16:16Speaker 6: Well, who else is going to know whether they are
- 16:18Speaker 6: or not?
- 16:20Speaker 4: They're not.
- 16:20Speaker 6: You don't have to know because nobody gets hurt.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Well, think about it. You're a woman. I'm a woman.
- 16:25Speaker 4: I mean, do I have to spell it out for you?
- 16:26Speaker 4: There are times when you can certainly tell if a
- 16:29Speaker 4: young lady is not wearing. I mean, oh, my God.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Well, what do you say?
- 16:33Speaker 4: Well, I don't even know what to say to her.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Who's going to know? She crosses her legs. Suppose the
- 16:39Speaker 4: young lady is one of lone wolves, and there's a
- 16:42Speaker 4: male teacher that she happens to fancy, and she decides
- 16:46Speaker 4: to take the front seat in the classroom and lift
- 16:51Speaker 4: her ankle up to scratch her leg, and she knows
- 16:53Speaker 4: what she's doing.
- 16:55Speaker 6: Well, you can do that without underwear and send the
- 16:57Speaker 6: same message.
- 16:59Speaker 4: No, I don't think so. I believe you can.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Really?
- 17:02Speaker 4: Really? You know, it's taking all of my willpower not
- 17:06Speaker 4: to say the following. Do you give your daughter lessons
- 17:09Speaker 4: in that?
- 17:10Speaker 2: Okay, that goes over the line.
- 17:11Speaker 4: Yes, it does. No, she's not making any sense.
- 17:15Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying.
- 17:17Speaker 4: You don't agree with it. You know what I'm saying. Well, Stephanie,
- 17:20Speaker 4: you send your daughter out to school without underwear on,
- 17:23Speaker 4: and when people start to complain of the smell, then you.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Now, that also goes over the line. What do you
- 17:28Speaker 1: mean complain of the smell? Are we talking about a
- 17:30Speaker 1: hygiene problem?
- 17:31Speaker 4: She knows what I'm talking about.
- 17:33Speaker 6: Whether you wear underwear or not.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Does not control that. She's being quiet because she knows what.
- 17:38Speaker 6: I'm... No, whether you do or not does not control that.
- 17:41Speaker 6: And what about a thong?
- 17:42Speaker 4: A thong is wearing underwear. No, it's not appropriate, Kay.
- 17:45Speaker 4: It's not a strip-off. Why is it not appropriate? Well,
- 17:47Speaker 4: I don't know. It covers up.
- 17:48Speaker 6: It does the same thing.
- 17:49Speaker 4: It's gross.
- 17:49Speaker 5: Why is it gross?
- 17:50Speaker 4: On certain women, it's gross.
- 17:51Speaker 6: You yourself said that you wore them.
- 17:53Speaker 4: I wear them. I can pull it off.
- 17:55Speaker 6: What are you trying to pull off? You're wearing them
- 17:59Speaker 6: outside your pants?
- 18:00Speaker 4: No, the fact that I have the figure for it.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 18:03Speaker 6: I'm not talking about girls wearing.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Thank you very much for your call.
- 18:06Speaker 4: 1-800-449-8686. Chris, go ahead.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Chris, go ahead.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Yes, sir.
- 18:11Speaker 5: How are you doing?
- 18:12Speaker 1: Fine.
- 18:13Speaker 5: I'm a father of five children, two of which are girls.
- 18:16Speaker 7: And this lady is a very opinionated, self-centered, self-appointed, I
- 18:20Speaker 7: don't know why.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Well, who's going to do it?
- 18:22Speaker 7: Let me talk.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Well, who's going to do it?
- 18:24Speaker 5: This is America.
- 18:24Speaker 7: We're currently fighting a war for our freedom, freedom of choice,
- 18:27Speaker 7: freedom of this. And who in God's name appointed you
- 18:30Speaker 7: to tell me how to raise my children or what
- 18:33Speaker 7: my children can and cannot wear, what's appropriate for my
- 18:36Speaker 7: children to wear or not wear, and who do you
- 18:38Speaker 7: think you are with your husband?
- 18:40Speaker 4: Let me finish.
- 18:42Speaker 7: Let me finish.
- 18:44Speaker 4: And don't talk to me like you're my husband because
- 18:46Speaker 4: you're not.
- 18:48Speaker 7: Maybe your husband should talk to you more like that.
- 18:50Speaker 7: If you had your second, my daughter, with your husband
- 18:53Speaker 7: in there, you would find yourself in a lawsuit as
- 18:57Speaker 7: well as under arrest.
- 18:59Speaker 4: That is an invasion of privacy? I couldn't.
- 19:00Speaker 7: That there's no school in America that is going to
- 19:02Speaker 7: permit that?
- 19:03Speaker 4: All we're doing is lifting the girls' skirt up to
- 19:06Speaker 4: check to see if there's underwear on.
- 19:08Speaker 7: Who the heck are you to be checking my daughter?
- 19:11Speaker 4: We have to do it. The girls are not allowed
- 19:13Speaker 4: to go into school without underwear, wearing a thong, wearing
- 19:17Speaker 4: crotchless panties. All of this is completely over the line. Now,
- 19:21Speaker 4: we have the girls.
- 19:21Speaker 5: Does it say so in the dress code?
- 19:22Speaker 4: They are in a stall. It is private.
- 19:24Speaker 7: Does it say so in the dress code?
- 19:27Speaker 4: It's in the state of California. Now, maybe where you live,
- 19:30Speaker 4: they let girls dress as hookers when they go to
- 19:32Speaker 4: high school.
- 19:33Speaker 1: What do you call being dressed as a hooker?
- 19:39Speaker 4: We are helping to reduce the risk of rape, okay?
- 19:42Speaker 4: I didn't want to say it, but there it is.
- 19:44Speaker 7: Oh, that's ridiculous.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 19:46Speaker 4: I mean... you are insane. That is absolutely the case.
- 19:49Speaker 4: These girls go dressed like $ 15 sluts. Well, then I
- 19:57Speaker 4: guess you're wearing song underwear. Well, you know something? I'm
- 19:59Speaker 4: an adult woman. I know what I'm doing. These are girls.
- 20:02Speaker 4: And I have to protect them, especially from fathers like
- 20:05Speaker 4: you who are fathers in name only. Oh, so now
- 20:08Speaker 4: you have to name it. What are you, a name?
- 20:11Speaker 3: I've got five children I bring, and I am there.
- 20:13Speaker 4: For them on a continuous basis. Why don't you soak
- 20:15Speaker 4: it back in kerosene and stick it in?
- 20:17Speaker 1: Phil Henry's show will be back with Bobby Dooley, who
- 20:20Speaker 1: is checking girls to make sure they're wearing underwear at
- 20:22Speaker 1: the high school.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Phil Henry's show.
- 20:49Speaker 4: 1-800-449-8686.
- 20:50Speaker 1: The Phil Hendy Show is back. Bobby and Steve Dooley,
- 20:57Speaker 1: Western Estates parent-teacher organization.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Ms.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Dooley, you said that high school girls should not be
- 21:02Speaker 1: wearing thong underwear to school or going to school without underwear.
- 21:06Speaker 2: So that they won't get raped.
- 21:08Speaker 4: No, I did not say that, Phil.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Well, you did. You said that to prevent rape.
- 21:12Speaker 4: I said it could be an inducement to sexual assault, yes.
- 21:16Speaker 4: Let me tell you something, Phil. I don't know who
- 21:20Speaker 4: these people are that work at the school. You have
- 21:22Speaker 4: young girls there wearing thong underwear, and I've talked to
- 21:25Speaker 4: at least two parents this evening on your program who
- 21:27Speaker 4: think it's just wonderful to send their daughters out dressed
- 21:32Speaker 4: as if they should be wrapped around a pole in
- 21:35Speaker 4: the middle of some lounge at 1 o'clock on the
- 21:38Speaker 4: Vegas Strip. I think it is entirely inappropriate.
- 21:41Speaker 2: What people are you talking about?
- 21:43Speaker 4: The school board members. I don't know. You know, The
- 21:47Speaker 4: school lets out at 3 o'clock. The girls hang around
- 21:49Speaker 4: using the library. You have one of the school board
- 21:51Speaker 4: members leading the district office. He gets an idea after
- 21:57Speaker 4: he sees that she's got a thong on. The janitor.
- 22:02Speaker 1: You've got a member of the school board or the
- 22:04Speaker 1: janitor wanting to rape some girl wearing a thong underwear.
- 22:07Speaker 2: And that gives you.
- 22:08Speaker 1: The right to go lift up her skirt and check
- 22:10Speaker 1: to see what kind of underwear she's wearing with your
- 22:12Speaker 1: husband present.
- 22:14Speaker 4: I said he has his back to us.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Even though he's got his back turned, he's taking notes.
- 22:18Speaker 4: 1-800-449-8686.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Moving on to another.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Phone call here. We've got Marilyn.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Marilyn, hi.
- 22:24Speaker 2: You're on the Phil Hendry Show with Bobby and Steve Dooley.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 22:27Speaker 4: Yes, I want to ask her a question.
- 22:29Speaker 5: Hello?
- 22:29Speaker 4: I want to ask her a question. I wish you
- 22:32Speaker 4: would get as advocate as you are. Don't be so rude, okay?
- 22:36Speaker 4: As advocate as you are about the girls wearing their clothes.
- 22:40Speaker 4: How am I being rude?
- 22:40Speaker 6: As the boys with their pants hanging down, their butts
- 22:44Speaker 6: hanging out.
- 22:45Speaker 4: How are you with that? That is so innocent. No,
- 22:48Speaker 4: that's not innocent.
- 22:50Speaker 5: You know what that means?
- 22:52Speaker 4: In prison, it means I'm ready. I'm ready to be
- 22:56Speaker 4: in prison. Are you saying to me, then, that if
- 22:59Speaker 4: you see a boy walking down the street with his
- 23:01Speaker 4: butt in the air... Boys, first of all, are not
- 23:03Speaker 4: going to be raped by you, Marilyn, or me, okay?
- 23:04Speaker 4: I think you and I are... Excuse me, have you
- 23:05Speaker 4: been in prison?
- 23:06Speaker 1: Have you?
- 23:06Speaker 4: No.
- 23:06Speaker 8: Oh, my God, you seem to know so much in prison.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Oh, my God. You seem to know so much about it.
- 23:25Speaker 4: It's pretty regular. How do you know that means that
- 23:28Speaker 4: in prison? Do you have a son there? No, I don't.
- 23:33Speaker 2: That wasn't necessary.
- 23:34Speaker 4: What is that? Do you have a relative in prison?
- 23:36Speaker 5: Do you have one in prison?
- 23:38Speaker 4: Do you have yellow fever in prison? You have the
- 23:43Speaker 4: right body for a throne.
- 23:44Speaker 6: Who do you know?
- 23:45Speaker 4: Marilyn, I can pull the look off. I've been told
- 23:48Speaker 4: I've got a very nice figure. You know what I mean?
- 23:51Speaker 4: So what? I didn't cut it off. Now, the question
- 23:56Speaker 4: that I'm asking you is this. Do you really think
- 23:59Speaker 4: that the school janitor is going to want to rape
- 24:01Speaker 4: a boy? And your husband's watching, too? He helps me.
- 24:06Speaker 6: He helps you?
- 24:08Speaker 4: Yes. There's no women in sight anywhere to be used?
- 24:11Speaker 4: I am there. I am there.
- 24:13Speaker 8: And you're not going to break.
- 24:14Speaker 4: This down for yourself. You think you're better than the
- 24:16Speaker 4: girls are. No, I do not. I'm simply saying, well,
- 24:19Speaker 4: are you a mother? Are you a grandmother? I'm a mother, yes,
- 24:21Speaker 4: of two girls. I'm sure you understand that young girls
- 24:24Speaker 4: can't go to school. I'm a mother of two girls, understand?
- 24:26Speaker 4: Two girls. You're with women now, okay?
- 24:29Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 24:30Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 24:30Speaker 5: I wouldn't allow you to go that way at all.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Well, good.
- 24:33Speaker 6: But, excuse me, it's their choice also.
- 24:35Speaker 4: Well, not as a high school student. No, it is
- 24:37Speaker 4: not their choice. Now, you know as well as I do,
- 24:39Speaker 4: look at Marilyn, if they were your daughters, all I
- 24:41Speaker 4: would do is take the ruler, lift the skirt up,
- 24:44Speaker 4: take a look.
- 24:44Speaker 6: Is your husband sitting there?
- 24:46Speaker 4: Yes, he's taking notes. Is he a saint? Is he what?
- 24:49Speaker 4: A pope or a saint? He's a married man. Big deal.
- 24:53Speaker 4: I mean, married men, other women. You know, Marilyn, I
- 24:55Speaker 4: think I'm very curious that you know all about prison
- 24:58Speaker 4: and all about men that are unfaithful to their wives.
- 25:00Speaker 4: I am a married woman. So what? Under the girl's
- 25:04Speaker 4: clothes also. I know you're African American, and I know
- 25:07Speaker 4: a lot of your answers are informed by your race.
- 25:11Speaker 4: Were I to lift up your daughter's skirt? I'm sure
- 25:13Speaker 4: there's a lot of... I've got to take the long
- 25:15Speaker 4: way around. Wait a minute. I know who this... Oh,
- 25:22Speaker 4: my God. Is this Marilyn McCoo? No, it's not. Oh, no.
- 25:25Speaker 4: I was a big fan of yours. Oh, my... Wait
- 25:28Speaker 4: a minute.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Marilyn McCoo from the Fifth Dimension?
- 25:30Speaker 4: Yes. Isn't this Marilyn McCoo?
- 25:31Speaker 2: No, it's not.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Oh, my God. Yes, it is. You're faking here. No, darling.
- 25:38Speaker 4: I talked to Marilyn McCoo 10 years ago in Las Vegas.
- 25:42Speaker 4: I swear this is Marilyn McCoo. I can't even figure
- 25:44Speaker 4: out what that sounds like right. You host it on
- 25:48Speaker 4: Solid Gold.
- 25:48Speaker 6: I'm not Marilyn McCoo.
- 25:51Speaker 4: Can't you think that's a one last bell to answer?
- 25:55Speaker 4: You've got one lap mind, too. You know, Marilyn, I'll
- 25:59Speaker 4: tell you this much. If I were to lift your
- 26:02Speaker 4: daughter's skirt up with a ruler, I would be in jail. Phil,
- 26:06Speaker 4: it sounds like.
- 26:07Speaker 7: You would be in jail.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Can I ask you a question? If I were to
- 26:11Speaker 4: lift up your daughter's skirt, would I need a forklift?
- 26:13Speaker 4: I'm kidding. You would be in jail.
- 26:14Speaker 2: I think the ladies made her point. You'd be in jail.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I think that the legality... You'd be in jail, honey.
- 26:17Speaker 1: The legality of this is in question, Bobby. And your
- 26:20Speaker 1: husband there, even though his back's turned, okay?
- 26:23Speaker 4: He is taking down notes. He's looking intently at a clipboard.
- 26:28Speaker 4: On the clipboard are the names of the girls. And
- 26:30Speaker 4: there are no women who do that? Are there other
- 26:33Speaker 4: women that can do that? Well, I haven't talked to
- 26:35Speaker 4: any tonight. Are you volunteering?
- 26:37Speaker 5: Where are you at?
- 26:38Speaker 4: Where am I at?
- 26:39Speaker 8: Yes.
- 26:40Speaker 4: I don't know. I'm sort of in between conservative and liberal, right? No,
- 26:42Speaker 4: I mean, where are you living at? Oh, where I live.
- 26:44Speaker 4: I'm in California.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Where are you at? All right, look, Marilyn, I've got
- 26:47Speaker 2: to take a run. Thank you very much.
- 26:49Speaker 4: I'll bet if I lifted your daughter's skirt, I'd see
- 26:51Speaker 4: 200 pounds of cheesecake.
- 26:53Speaker 2: All right, that is unnecessary.
- 26:55Speaker 4: Well, she started it. You liar. You know, Marilyn McCoo,
- 27:00Speaker 4: I just....
- 27:04Speaker 1: Marilyn McCoo of the Fifth Dimension is calling in from Columbia,
- 27:07Speaker 1: Missouri to talk about lifting up her daughter's skirt.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Is that it? I don't know, Phil. I don't do
- 27:12Speaker 4: a talk show. I'm a mother, and I'm a concerned parent,
- 27:16Speaker 4: and I am very concerned about what's happening in our schools.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Our daughters are at risk. If we don't exercise some
- 27:22Speaker 4: kind of parental supervision in the way they dress, we
- 27:25Speaker 4: do put them at risk for sexual assault, and we
- 27:27Speaker 4: do put them at risk for certain teachers getting the
- 27:30Speaker 4: wrong idea. You take a girl who goes to school
- 27:33Speaker 4: not wearing underwear. She sees a teacher that she likes
- 27:37Speaker 4: or she's interested in, and she decides to scratch the
- 27:41Speaker 4: back of her ankle using her head. Now then, the
- 27:45Speaker 4: teacher is going to obviously... You.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Don't have to paint a picture, I understand. Kim, go ahead.
- 27:50Speaker 2: You're on the Phil Henry Show.
- 27:51Speaker 4: Hello?
- 27:53Speaker 2: Yes, Kim, go right ahead.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Hi.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Hi.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Listening to the show tonight, it makes me so thankful
- 27:59Speaker 3: that it is legal to homeschool my children. And I
- 28:04Speaker 3: have done so for the past 15 years.
- 28:06Speaker 4: That is so hippie.
- 28:07Speaker 8: Let me tell you. You know, that is so 80s.
- 28:10Speaker 3: I am so afraid of people like you. If you
- 28:13Speaker 3: lifted up my daughter's skirt and you being a woman,
- 28:15Speaker 3: I don't even care, you would be prosecuted. I would so...
- 28:20Speaker 3: sue you for one and hope to god.
- 28:22Speaker 4: Oh my god do you think i'd rape your daughter
- 28:25Speaker 4: you think another woman would.
- 28:26Speaker 3: No no no you are violating my child you are
- 28:29Speaker 3: violating my child.
- 28:31Speaker 4: We are checking if the girl is wearing appropriate underwear
- 28:36Speaker 4: something that isn't backless or.
- 28:37Speaker 8: Crotchless That is not your job.
- 28:40Speaker 4: You know how girls are, Kim.
- 28:41Speaker 8: That is not your job.
- 28:43Speaker 3: No, you are wrong to think that all girls are
- 28:45Speaker 3: that way.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Well, not all girls, but I'm saying some girls will
- 28:48Speaker 4: get a crush on a boy and they decide to
- 28:50Speaker 4: go out and do squats and all of this kind
- 28:53Speaker 4: of thing.
- 28:54Speaker 3: No, that is so wrong of you to do that.
- 28:58Speaker 3: You are violating a child.
- 29:00Speaker 4: And just because you're homeschooling your child.
- 29:01Speaker 3: I don't care that you're a woman. You are violating
- 29:03Speaker 3: a child.
- 29:03Speaker 4: You are doing something that is against the law.
- 29:06Speaker 3: You are doing something that is against the law. If
- 29:08Speaker 3: you do that, I would so sue you.
- 29:11Speaker 4: Well, if it's against the law, I'd be arrested. You
- 29:13Speaker 4: wouldn't have to sue me. Ooh, gotcha. Gotcha.
- 29:15Speaker 8: It doesn't matter.
- 29:16Speaker 4: It doesn't matter.
- 29:17Speaker 3: You get arrested, and I also sue you as well
- 29:20Speaker 3: as the school for allowing you to do this.
- 29:23Speaker 4: You know, by homeschooling your children, I.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Have to tell you, when.
- 29:28Speaker 4: You homeschool your children, they have no social skills. They
- 29:31Speaker 4: don't know how to socialize. You are so wrong. You know,
- 29:33Speaker 4: that is the biggest misconception. I want all of the
- 29:35Speaker 4: mothers to hear this. Why don't you let me talk?
- 29:38Speaker 6: Why don't you let me talk to the kids?
- 29:40Speaker 5: Talk?
- 29:40Speaker 2: Can we let Kim talk?
- 29:41Speaker 4: No, but I want to say one thing.
- 29:42Speaker 1: We've got to let Kim talk because she's the one
- 29:46Speaker 1: who is homeschooling her kids.
- 29:48Speaker 4: This lady is homeschooling her children.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Don't tell me no. This is my show, ma'am. I'll
- 29:52Speaker 2: say when people talk.
- 29:55Speaker 4: Homeschooling your children makes them social retards.
- 29:57Speaker 3: That is so incorrect. I want to clear up this misconception. Listeners,
- 30:02Speaker 3: please listen to me. Why don't you let me talk?
- 30:06Speaker 2: You have to talk all night.
- 30:07Speaker 8: Long, and I listen to you talk over everybody.
- 30:10Speaker 4: What do you mean by I'll so sue you? That's
- 30:13Speaker 4: so educated. You let everybody talk. I'll so sue you.
- 30:16Speaker 3: You never let anybody talk.
- 30:17Speaker 4: See, that's homeschooling for you, Phil. I'll so sue you.
- 30:19Speaker 4: That's homeschooling. Let me tell you something.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Homeschool children are not actually.
- 30:24Speaker 6: They are.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Not socially challenged.
- 30:25Speaker 8: My children are very.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Matter of fact, Phil, why don't you meet my children?
- 30:30Speaker 3: I will drive my children down to you.
- 30:31Speaker 4: Can they set a table?
- 30:32Speaker 3: How well-behaved my children are, how socially well-behaved they are.
- 30:37Speaker 8: They can have a conversation with you.
- 30:39Speaker 3: About all kinds of things. Even the president, they love Bush.
- 30:42Speaker 4: It's wonderful. Oh, that's what I mean. They're socially retarded.
- 30:45Speaker 4: That's what I mean. They are socially retarded.
- 30:47Speaker 8: That's your opinion.
- 30:48Speaker 4: I'd like all of your listeners to know, Phil, that
- 30:50Speaker 4: socially homeschooling your children turns them into slobbering idiots.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Boy, that is really, really cruel of you to say that,
- 30:57Speaker 2: slobbering idiots.
- 30:58Speaker 4: She said that they like Bush. How does that make them...
- 31:01Speaker 4: Doesn't that.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Make them a little retarded?
- 31:06Speaker 4: Homeschool children are losing spelling bees.
- 31:09Speaker 3: You mean as.
- 31:11Speaker 4: In also suing them?
- 31:13Speaker 2: All right, ladies, ladies, ladies. We could go on forever.
- 31:16Speaker 1: You're right.
- 31:17Speaker 2: But the point here is we've got two conflicting... Do.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Your kids wear thong underwear to the kitchen or wherever you...
- 31:22Speaker 4: Where do you homeschool them, in the garage?
- 31:24Speaker 3: You are incredible. We have a room in our home
- 31:27Speaker 3: that is specifically a classroom.
- 31:28Speaker 4: Do you know that most children that are homeschooled have
- 31:30Speaker 4: to wear bibs? Now, that is the truth. You are
- 31:33Speaker 4: so wrong. Check the Department of Education.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Have to wear bibs when?
- 31:37Speaker 4: In high school.
- 31:39Speaker 8: All right.
- 31:39Speaker 5: Kim, Ms.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Dooley.
- 31:43Speaker 4: You can't even. You know, you sound like Popeye. I'm
- 31:49Speaker 4: simply saying to you, don't.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Make fun of me.
- 31:52Speaker 4: I'm the host.
- 31:54Speaker 5: You're the host.
- 31:55Speaker 4: You're the host. Give me a break. Mr. Henry, homeschooled
- 32:00Speaker 4: children walk around like drooling idiots wearing bibs.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Ma'am, I know many people that homeschool their children. What
- 32:09Speaker 1: that lady just said is right. They are far ahead
- 32:12Speaker 1: of the rest of the world in terms of the education. Now,
- 32:17Speaker 1: not all women can homeschool their children. Are you a
- 32:19Speaker 1: stay-at-home mom?
- 32:21Speaker 4: Yes, I am. But, my God, I pay for a
- 32:23Speaker 4: public school, and by God, I'm going to support it.
- 32:26Speaker 4: And I've got better things to do with my day
- 32:28Speaker 4: than sit around and read, you know, A plus the
- 32:35Speaker 4: variable B. Oh, my God. Ew.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Here is Iris. Iris, go ahead. You're on the Phil
- 32:40Speaker 2: Henry Show.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Yes, hi.
- 32:42Speaker 5: Hi, Iris.
- 32:43Speaker 8: Thank you for the opportunity to be able to participate
- 32:46Speaker 8: in this because I think that giving you the benefit
- 32:49Speaker 8: of the doubt, maybe you think you're trying to help.
- 32:51Speaker 8: But for one thing, I just want to say this.
- 32:54Speaker 8: I have four daughters that I homeschool. One is graduating
- 32:57Speaker 8: from Nova Southeastern as a doctor. The other one is
- 33:00Speaker 8: a veterinarian assistant. The other one, she does acting, dancing.
- 33:04Speaker 8: She's very bad. She does counseling for other kids. You know, ma'am,
- 33:08Speaker 8: I think that you think you're helping, but you're trying
- 33:11Speaker 8: to take away the responsibility of parents. And you have
- 33:14Speaker 8: four boys.
- 33:15Speaker 4: I have four girls.
- 33:16Speaker 8: They all wear thongs. They've never been disrespected because it's
- 33:20Speaker 8: not about the thong. And you've got it all wrong.
- 33:22Speaker 4: But they don't go to school. You say you're homeschooling them.
- 33:25Speaker 4: You're homeschooling them.
- 33:27Speaker 8: The way the children carry themselves, my children have been respected.
- 33:31Speaker 8: They have never been tried to be raped, and my
- 33:33Speaker 8: children are from 17 to 30 years old. You really
- 33:37Speaker 8: need help, and I think that you're the one that
- 33:39Speaker 8: should be going to counseling.
- 33:40Speaker 4: I need to ask this lady a question. Go ahead.
- 33:43Speaker 4: You said you homeschool your children, and yet you just
- 33:45Speaker 4: said the following phrase or statement. They never had been
- 33:48Speaker 4: tried to have been raped. Oh, God. If that's an example.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Maybe the lady is nervous. Are you there, Iris?
- 33:57Speaker 8: Oh, yes, I'm here.
- 33:59Speaker 5: This is Steve Dooley. I'm Bobby's husband, Steve. Do your
- 34:04Speaker 5: daughters wear thongs?
- 34:05Speaker 8: Yes, they do, and they've never been disrespected by anyone.
- 34:08Speaker 8: They participate in a lot of activities in different schools.
- 34:11Speaker 4: Do they ever make a man hot?
- 34:12Speaker 5: What do you mean, do they ever make a man hot?
- 34:15Speaker 2: Wearing a thong.
- 34:18Speaker 8: Oh, my gosh. You know the way you're talking, sir?
- 34:20Speaker 8: If you ever, ever were looking at my child, you know,
- 34:24Speaker 8: the way.
- 34:25Speaker 5: You're talking and the way you're saying it, I really
- 34:27Speaker 5: think that you and your wife have a very serious problem.
- 34:31Speaker 4: You know what you're worried about?
- 34:33Speaker 8: You're worried about your sons maybe looking at a girl
- 34:36Speaker 8: in the wrong way, and you need to educate your
- 34:38Speaker 8: sons to respect women regardless of what she's wearing or
- 34:42Speaker 8: what she's not wearing.
- 34:43Speaker 4: And you know what?
- 34:46Speaker 2: No, wait a minute. It's a fashion statement.
- 34:48Speaker 8: Does the milkman ever look through the kitchen window during bedtime?
- 34:52Speaker 8: As I do, you are the leader.
- 34:54Speaker 2: You are a parent.
- 34:55Speaker 8: You should be setting an example. I don't smoke because
- 34:58Speaker 8: I don't want my children to smoke.
- 34:59Speaker 5: I want to ask you a question, Iris. Do your
- 35:01Speaker 5: daughters have a lot up top? Do your daughters have
- 35:03Speaker 5: a lot up top?
- 35:04Speaker 2: What kind of questions are these?
- 35:05Speaker 5: Because I want to know, first of all, if her
- 35:07Speaker 5: daughter is dressing like a woman, but she calls her
- 35:10Speaker 5: daughter a girl, if she's a girl, have her dress
- 35:12Speaker 5: like a girl.
- 35:12Speaker 4: That is such a great point, Iris. That is, if
- 35:15Speaker 4: she's a girl, dress her like a girl, not a woman.
- 35:19Speaker 8: My children are from 17 to 30, and they dress respectfully.
- 35:24Speaker 4: It's not about a song, man.
- 35:25Speaker 8: It's not about a song. You've got it all wrong,
- 35:28Speaker 8: and you and your husband need serious counseling.
- 35:30Speaker 4: You really do.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Iris, what was your question, Bobby?
- 35:33Speaker 4: I want to know, does the milkman look through the
- 35:34Speaker 4: kitchen window when you're doing math class? Is he trying
- 35:37Speaker 4: to check out?
- 35:38Speaker 2: All right.
- 35:39Speaker 8: Oh, come on, a girl nowadays can be beautiful and
- 35:43Speaker 8: fully dressed, and if you don't teach your son and
- 35:46Speaker 8: educate them as to how they look at a woman,
- 35:48Speaker 8: look at them with respect, and maybe that's what your
- 35:51Speaker 8: problem is.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Well, Iris, I want to thank you for joining us.
- 35:54Speaker 8: Maybe you need to teach your children.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Iris, I do want to ask you, though, do you
- 35:58Speaker 4: teach English to your children at home? Do you teach
- 36:02Speaker 4: them English?
- 36:04Speaker 8: They've learned every subject. They're A honor roll students. They're very,
- 36:07Speaker 8: very good students. Like I said, now she's in university.
- 36:11Speaker 8: They're in university.
- 36:12Speaker 4: And you taught them English. I got a great idea.
- 36:13Speaker 4: Why don't you teach yourself a little bit of English?
- 36:16Speaker 5: Iris, can you homeschool yourself?
- 36:18Speaker 8: You have to face that. The questions you're asking.
- 36:21Speaker 4: Well, Iris, this is my theme music. I got to go.
- 36:23Speaker 6: Your husband is looking at this woman.
- 36:24Speaker 8: You know why? Your husband may be.
- 36:26Speaker 4: A father, but he's not my children's father. Oh, man.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Bobby, Steve, I hope you drive off a cliff one
- 36:33Speaker 1: night leaving Butner Lake. Anyway, the world-famous Phil Hendry Show
