- 0:02the intersection of business excellence and human
- 0:06capital. Yeah. Today, we're looking at a remarkable
- 0:10achievement from Dubai Electricity and Water
- 0:12Authority, or DIWA. Hmm. They recently secured
- 0:16a highly prestigious six -star rating at the
- 0:19International Best Practice Competition. That's
- 0:22right. The competition is organized by the Center
- 0:25for Organizational Excellence Research in New
- 0:28Zealand. They're, you know, a global leader in
- 0:31benchmarking. Wow. Diwa earned this top -tier
- 0:35recognition for their data -driven methodology.
- 0:37It basically measures the return on investment
- 0:40from employee training. And the scale of this
- 0:43initiative is truly impressive. Oh, definitely.
- 0:47They applied the five stages of the Philips ROI
- 0:49methodology across 1 ,365 training programs.
- 0:54This involved over 12 ,000 employees. Right.
- 0:59By isolating the impact of training, Diwa recorded
- 1:02an amazing return. They saw a return of 3 .51
- 1:06dirhams for every single dirham invested in their
- 1:09training programs in 2025. To understand the
- 1:12strategic vision behind this, let's share the
- 1:15exact words of His Excellency Saeed Mohammed
- 1:17Altair. He's the MD and CEO of Diwa. Okay. He
- 1:23stated that Diwa invests in its employees as
- 1:25key pillars of organizational excellence. It's
- 1:28driven by a belief that human capital is the
- 1:31primary driver of innovation and development.
- 1:34Absolutely. The data -driven methodology for
- 1:37measuring training effectiveness enhances their
- 1:39ability to design aligned training programs.
- 1:42It also enables them to measure their impact
- 1:44with, you know, precision and transparency. This
- 1:48contributes directly to improving organizational
- 1:51efficiency and productivity. Right. The methodology
- 1:55also enables data -driven decision -making and
- 1:58helps direct training investments. This strengthens
- 2:01the readiness of talent to meet future requirements
- 2:04and strategic objectives. That perfectly captures
- 2:07the strategic value of their approach. Yeah,
- 2:10it really does. Diwa has already delivered more
- 2:14than 200 ,000 training hours. But clearly this
- 2:18isn't just about tracking time spent in a classroom.
- 2:21Exactly. It's about a fundamental shift in how
- 2:24corporate learning is actually utilized. Exactly.
- 2:28As Dr. Yusuf Al -Akraf, Executive Vice President
- 2:31of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA,
- 2:34explained, the methodology transforms training
- 2:37evaluation. It goes from a standalone learning
- 2:40activity into an institutional tool for performance
- 2:43improvement. Wow, yeah. By leveraging data, DEWA
- 2:47can identify skill gaps and measure the impact
- 2:50of training programs. Then they develop learning
- 2:53plans that are closely aligned with strategic
- 2:55priorities. Achieving a six -star rating truly
- 2:59underscores Diwa's leadership in linking human
- 3:02capital investment with tangible business results.
- 3:05It proves that a mature human resources ecosystem
- 3:08can, you know, drive the sustainability of high
- 3:12performance. Now, here's a question we'd like
- 3:14you to think about. Okay. How can your organization
- 3:18transform its own training evaluations? How can
- 3:21they go from standard learning activities into
- 3:23strategic tools for measurable business impact?
