- 0:01Because fuck You That's why is a founding member of the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:38Hello, and welcome to Because fuck You That's why the only panel Well
- 0:43no, that's not correct. We're not the only panel show inspired podcast.
- 0:47We're not even the only panel show inspired podcast in the room. What because
- 0:51today we have with us that Matt and Auger from the gate Leapers. Crap.
- 0:55Hello, I would applause. Hi. Oh uh, so we were
- 1:00talking before the show about how excited we were to find each other, um,
- 1:04because we legitimately thought we were the only ones. Uh and even weirder
- 1:11because you know, we're all Americans, you know, we we only have
- 1:15access to British panel shows through YouTube and listens. Um. But Matt is
- 1:23a bona fide expat from across the pond. Yeah. This is not an
- 1:27accent I'm putting on show. This is what it is. It is an
- 1:33accent Newly just just an excellent actor, God damn it, authentic Britt because
- 1:42you know, Colin and Crunchy are both faking it too, so there has
- 1:48to be a real British person out there somewhere. Uh, they exist,
- 1:52I know. Anyway, Let's get to uh the introductions. Oh, you
- 1:57know, one thing we didn't do before the show was figured out. How
- 2:00are we going to do teams? Did we want to did we want to
- 2:02go panel show versus panel show? That there's some drama in that? Isn't
- 2:07that there is a nice narrative. And even though we respect everything you do
- 2:13because you that's why we're willing to make it a bit of a rivalry here
- 2:16and we can find out which panel show is the best panel show. Oh
- 2:22all right, Oh no, I'm going to remain as impercial as ever.
- 2:24We're gonna love mercy, all right, all right, So I guess that's
- 2:31the way we're gonna do it. We'll start with the home team as it
- 2:35were. Uh, he's a gamer and a storyteller, and he's my youngest
- 2:38frend. It's Augy hi there. It always feels so wrong hitting the crowd
- 2:45cheer for yourself. Yeah, so what the hell do you do? I
- 2:46don't know. And I'm just saying, you know, I think everybody's under
- 2:53the impression, or at least understands by this point that it's not a real
- 2:58crowd. Wait a minute, I mean we we literally can't fit that many
- 3:02people in the show. Just saying just logistically it's not gonna work. Yeah,
- 3:09all right, fair enough? Um okay, so um, I guess
- 3:15I will ask a question that you probably won't have an answer too, because
- 3:17I don't know how exposed you ordered this sort of thing. But I will
- 3:21ask, what is your favorite panel show? Oh? Eight out of ten
- 3:24cats? I was gonna say that isn't us but yeah, yeah, eight
- 3:30out of ten cats. Just just just eight out of ten cats the original
- 3:32or eight out of ten cats does countdown? Does? Okay? There you
- 3:38go. That's what I was looking. I'm horrible at math, but I
- 3:42love that game. Oh my god. Just making people who are not known
- 3:49for being uh, I don't know intelligencia, I guess, although some of
- 3:53them do insanely well, like Lee mac Joe Brand and even John Richardson usually
- 4:00gets a lot of really good words and math in there. I'm just saying
- 4:04i'd be shit. I'd be absolutely shit. I could probably manage the math
- 4:09moment most of the time. That it's the worst the words. Really,
- 4:15it's a letter. So if you got to be able to quickly like rerange
- 4:17stuff in your brain, find something that exists. But anyway, yeah,
- 4:23no, good choice. Absolutely love at a ten casts countdown. Um,
- 4:27we haven't done anything based on that yet, but I imagine we're going to
- 4:31rip it off in a box. We have done, we have, we
- 4:35have done it started. Yeah, it used to be our tiebreaker. Well
- 4:41you know, come on, dude, we have they don't have an advantage.
- 4:44It's okay, um, I yet it's a little late. I didn't
- 4:48bring anything from home in a box. I don't have two separate boxes.
- 4:53Handy. We'll figure it out later. Uh. In any event, So,
- 4:57Augiah, I imagine you're going to be the captain of this team like
- 5:00you were last time we had a b F Y two W versus another podcast.
- 5:03All right, yeah, so and your teammates and your inferior for at
- 5:10least this episode. Uh, he's a podcaster and a veteran and as it
- 5:13turns out, he's a veteran podcaster. It's Stevie. Yah. See.
- 5:16It didn't feel bad at all for me to hit the button for myself.
- 5:19I was down for it, of course. Yeah. I mean you've probably
- 5:24done horrible things to yourself while listening to that sound on repeat. Okay,
- 5:29just checking just uh, beautiful things, beautiful things. Yeah, I'm sure
- 5:38to somebody it was beautiful, not me. I wish he'd stopped sending me
- 5:41the video. Cbuh, same question. I know it looked like he stole
- 5:49your answer, but you can say the same thing. You just got to
- 5:51explain why it's your favorite. Yeah, it's it is. I actually introd
- 5:56as Aaron introduced me to panel shows. I introduced Augie into these shows,
- 6:00and I went through a string of countdown like we had it playing every single
- 6:05night for two hours outstairs. Made the family watch it, and they were
- 6:08all getting into the games. And I'm really good at math in my head.
- 6:12I don't know why. I can just figure it out. The numbers
- 6:15don't cross, but they're there somehow at the end of it. And I
- 6:17always felt like I know things they don't. For the first time ever,
- 6:21I know numbers. And then the second round comes by and I get stomped
- 6:25by letters, so I feel like, Okay, I'm back to where I
- 6:29was. But it's fun. The whole family gets involved in it, and
- 6:31seeing that happened to something none of them have seen before. It was really
- 6:34cool, kind of beautiful, all right, very good, very good,
- 6:39all right. And the other team, of course, is the gate Leaps.
- 6:44I guess I'll start by asking which of you two would like to be
- 6:47the captain of your particular team. Oh, I feel like Oh no,
- 6:53I was gonna say you because I think or maybe I should be, because
- 6:56I do think i'll probably be. I'm not gonna dead weight. Sounds a
- 7:00little bit too share myself. But if I were the captain Living White,
- 7:08Living Living Wight, yes, but that way I would have I would have
- 7:14at least a title live way. Yeah, well, your captain on show,
- 7:18so I am you should be ready to be a captain. I was
- 7:21just thinking, I'm not used to being a captain, so I don't know
- 7:24what that's like. Yeah, I think you're probably gonna do better than me,
- 7:27and so I was gonna like give you both, but no, no,
- 7:29I'll be captain because you'll probably do better than I would. Okay,
- 7:32all right, we'll see um. So we'll start with the captain high Andra,
- 7:39Hello, Hello, please to meet you. I'm so excited to have
- 7:43the two of you on today. And same question. I don't know how
- 7:47he maybe I don't know if you watched them before you and Matt were a
- 7:50thing, or if that's just it's something that he brought with him. But
- 7:55do you have a favorite panel show? God? Yeah, well I like
- 8:00all of them. This is the problem, and I've seen some debate whether
- 8:07certain things are or are not panel shows, right, But I love Taskmaster.
- 8:13Yes, yes, it is so much fun because there's always like a
- 8:18couple of mainstays on every season, but a couple of people that like I
- 8:22hadn't heard of either because they were like before I started watching shows like this
- 8:28or up and coming type people. So there's always people I like, always
- 8:31people that I'm going to discover and probably like yeah, yeah, I haven't
- 8:37been disappointed yet. Like you know, every single every single season has brought
- 8:41something amazing and I've just I adore that show so much, so well picked.
- 8:48Yeah, I'm sure there's some people out there who would argue that it
- 8:50doesn't belong among the reins of panel shows, But I mean it has a
- 8:54panel. It has a panel of people on it playing a silly game for
- 8:56faky points. So I mean you can't really get any more panel show e
- 9:03than that. Really, Wait, the points aren't real there either. Oh
- 9:05yeah, there's no stakes here. Nobody wins anything. I'm sorry, Um,
- 9:09it's just the way it is, man. It's a panel show.
- 9:11What do you want? H? I keep trying, all right? Uh
- 9:16and uh Audrey's teammate uh and usual host of the gate Leapers, it's Matt.
- 9:24I'm mad, oh Way did not give him. Here's the here's the
- 9:31thing. When I went to go hit it for Audrey, it didn't work.
- 9:35I'm so sorry. But then when I went to go with click it,
- 9:39then I clicked it too hard, And then on different men you came
- 9:43up and I knew. I knew this was going to happen. I just
- 9:46knew that we were going to fail the gate Leapers. We were we were
- 9:50letting them down, and you need to stop. The gate Leabers are guests
- 9:56you moren I'm sorry I didn't. I didn't need the crowd, crowd noise.
- 10:03I could do this, We could do it for you. Who this
- 10:09this is even better. I'm amazing. Anything you've got the live crowd didn't
- 10:16give you the fake crowd. Who needs that? Wow? Right? Um?
- 10:20I'd say this show was going off the rails, but it's never on
- 10:22the rails. Um? Was that the same question? Do you have a
- 10:28favorite panel show? I mean it is also a out of ten cats does
- 10:31Countdown? But they said everything that could be said about it. It's amazing.
- 10:37Um So I'm gonna give another one just to shout out another panel show.
- 10:39I've really enjoyed a Question Team recently. Yes, yes, I've been
- 10:46a big fan of that. Oh my god. Um so Uh they had
- 10:50an episode where a Mazy Adam was on and I adore a mazy Adam.
- 10:54But before she was famous, she went on the chase against Paul Senna and
- 10:58did very very badly. Uh and uh an on quest an episode of Question
- 11:03Team and Mazie Adam on and surprised her. Rosie Jones it was actually who
- 11:09made this happen. Uh surprised her by forcing her to answer questions from false
- 11:15and at a gift points, which was the most amazing things like watching someone
- 11:20get surprised roasted us one of one of my favorite things I've ever seen.
- 11:26Her moment in your life that you still think about, an embarrassing it again
- 11:35and better yet, he asked her the question she got wrong. It's amazing.
- 11:43Uh yeah, no, absolutely, shout out to the Question Team.
- 11:45Great show. Um, and I'm finally your host. I'm pants Sara.
- 11:48I'm gonna be leading these teams through three games of varying silliness which every team
- 11:52has the most points at the end of the game, wins gets at best
- 11:54an unearned sense of pride. Um. Okay, and yeah, so's it's
- 12:01the best stakes we can offer, I'm afraid. And as for me,
- 12:05I don't know. If I had well, I definitely have a favorite.
- 12:07Audrey stole it. It's Taskmaster one thousand percent. That show is just no
- 12:13listen, you can have it. It's incredible. I would give that show
- 12:16to everyone if I could. Uh, it's incredible, absolutely astonishing, like
- 12:20fourteen series in so there's like a ton of it um. And we've actually
- 12:26done Taskmaster episodes ourselves, which have also been crazy fun. Yeah, so
- 12:31a lot of work, a lot of work, but crazy fun. So
- 12:37I can wholeheartedly endorse that. Shall we get to some games? Yes,
- 12:41yes, let's play. Let's play. And because this is panel show versus
- 12:46panel show, what other kind of show could we do except a panel show
- 12:50themed panel show? So we're gonna play three games from or modified from panel
- 12:56shows. And we're gonna start with Lampoon the Last seven Days, which has
- 13:01no connection whatsoever to mock the week. Legally, I'm going to take three
- 13:07facts or figures from major news stories, and I'm going to present them to
- 13:11you as the answer to a question. You can whenever you like, you
- 13:16know, jump in and improvise a question for the answer that I give you,
- 13:22kind of like Jeopardy, but you're trying to be funny. You get
- 13:26nothing if you're correct. If you're correct, way to go. You're a
- 13:28smartie, but no points. You got to be funny to get points on
- 13:33this show. So the funniest question that I hear before I shut everything down
- 13:37and move on to the next one, we'll get the point for that answer.
- 13:41First team to win two answers will win the game and earn themselves one
- 13:46episode point. Is that clear any confusion whatsoever? Anything anyone wants to ask
- 13:50before we jump in? Captain, I'm sorry if I screw anything up,
- 13:54but I'll back you on anything. You're doing this individually. The captain thing
- 13:58is just for later on. Down with me, Okay, you can improvise
- 14:03whatever, you can, jump in whenever you want to. Thank you trying
- 14:07not to speak over anybody, that's all uh and uh. Here is your
- 14:11first answer. If this is the answer, what is the question? The
- 14:15answer is three hundred and seventy three days. What is the question? And
- 14:24I'll start you off with a teaser, just something for me. This doesn't
- 14:28count for points or anything. How long does it usually take for me to
- 14:31realize that a woman I was speaking to was flirting with me? I think
- 14:37that's accurate too. All right, Stevie, what you got? How long
- 14:41it took me to wobble around the block? That's it? I'm trying again.
- 14:48I'm trying to lottle bars, little bars man, everybody else? Come
- 14:52on you guys, all right, who's up? Anybody got anything? Is
- 14:58it? How long before I back in correspondence from the US government about my
- 15:01being Yes, accurate, yeah, accurate. I'll get like a new message
- 15:09like once a year that's like, hi, we need this from you.
- 15:13I'm like, I sent you that two years ago. Oh okay, and
- 15:18then that okay was sent an entire year after everything else. M yeah,
- 15:22yeah, that's our government for you. Anybody else I've got? How long
- 15:28it's going to take me to recover from episode three of the Last of Us?
- 15:31Oh? Oh my, that's good. That's good. Yeah. Episode
- 15:39three was pretty rough from what I understand. UM, haven't seen it myself,
- 15:45but I played the game. I know where it's going. Good?
- 15:50Yeah, yeah, yeah, Stevie, what do you got? Okay?
- 15:52It's how long Aaron needs a vacation from our show? Oh my god,
- 16:00Oh my god, just the thought was spending an entire year. I'm free.
- 16:08I can have something like Kermit on my own. You do comment impressions
- 16:15on y'all show too. Accidentally I got one. I think Matt had well
- 16:21or just piping in about that is? Do you want to go oky?
- 16:25Oh? Sure? How long it took Aaron to break out that Kermit the
- 16:29frog joke? I don't know. Uh, Matt, I just laughed because
- 16:37it was a nice little call back. That's very nice. My brain is
- 16:41just primed to laugh at anything that references. That's fair, that's fair.
- 16:45That's how I get all my limbs. Is it how long before the five
- 16:51of us will find another podcast that also is a panel shot? Nice?
- 16:56Maybe? Maybe? I mean it feels accurate. We been doing this for
- 17:00three years now, I've just found you. Uh, Stevie, what do
- 17:03you got? How how long or how awkward you feel after Stephen makes an
- 17:08uncomfortable joke? Uh yep, yep, I'm gonna need three hundred and seventy
- 17:14three days after that one. Uh, okay, no more, I'm gonna
- 17:19cut it off. There. I think the funniest one I had, at
- 17:22least the one that's still stuck in my head, is Audrew's reference to the
- 17:26last of us. Uh. So, I'm gonna give the point to the
- 17:29gate leabers for the first one. Well done. You can rest on my
- 17:36laurels. They are nice and comfy laurels shaped like cushions. Okay, so,
- 17:45uh that's one point to the gate leabers. By w get it together.
- 17:49Come on, let them have that first one. Yea. If you
- 17:55let them have this one too, then they win. Here is your next
- 18:00answer. If this is the answer, what is the question? One point
- 18:03six billion? One point six billion? Is it? How many spy balloons
- 18:14is the US shot down? Yep? Yep? Uh stevie. How many
- 18:23bottles of that auto tan trump uses? I like it? I like it?
- 18:30Um, I got one. I'm gonna riff off Matts cool? How
- 18:34many balloons do you rednecks shoot down? Now? Screaming? Damn you China
- 18:41little red balloon got him? But it's my birthday. I see that it's
- 18:52made from China. Red. There see how can everything be made there?
- 18:57I don't understand because we're shunt paying our workers. Oh yeah, it's not
- 19:04funny, but it's true. One point six billion workers. What is one
- 19:11point six billion unpaid workers? Anything else? It was just gonna go really
- 19:19dark. Don't go dark, don't go dark, don't go dark. Don't
- 19:22you gonna do how many Valentine's IM gonna buy you this year? It just
- 19:29passed, so I got a year to do this ship doesn't give me the
- 19:30point? Damn it? Mm hmmm, oh sorry, Audre, go ahead.
- 19:41Oh. I was just gonna say, how much money, um,
- 19:45does Elon Musk pay himself per tweet? That might be real? How much
- 19:53money does Twitter lose everything? That's definitely um? How much should I get
- 20:07a bill for when I went to the hospital with a broken wrist? There
- 20:10we go, Welcome to the US. I mean, I'm trying to think
- 20:14of a disparaging one against the UK, so I'm not just taking but there's
- 20:17not it's not so hard man, how much the UK? No, I
- 20:23was gonna say, how many homes have gone without power in the past,
- 20:33how many prime ministers if they had in the past year. That's one too.
- 20:38That's pretty funny there you go, take old country. How much of
- 20:44the taxpayers money with it just remodeling in the royals rooms? How many milliseconds
- 20:48Trust was in office? How much more money does Rishi Sunac have than the
- 20:53entire UK government? Oh my god? Yes, Oh okay, I am
- 21:00gonna have to I think I'm gonna call it there. I think we just
- 21:03about wound it down. Uh and uh, regrettably, perhaps I'm gonna have
- 21:08to give the point to Matt for his brilliant spy balloon joke. So that's
- 21:14that's two points for gate labors. Uh, they have won. Very nice
- 21:18you and your current events. But I still have a prompt left. Oh
- 21:23yeah, prompt I would like by t W two at least try and get
- 21:27some pride out of this. Uh. If they have any left, who
- 21:32knows. But if you guys are up for one more, let's try prompt
- 21:38number three, which would have been, uh, if this is the answer,
- 21:41what is the question? Thirteen percent? M oh and to give you
- 21:49guys thinking time. And also because I neglected to actually say what the real
- 21:52answer to these were, um, three hundred seventy three days is how many
- 21:56days it's been since Russia invaded Ukraine. Oh geez, that's depressing. One
- 22:03point six billion is how much money the US government has proposed to spend combating
- 22:07COVID fraud. Wow, which is kind of crazy. I'm not surprised that
- 22:11COVID fraud exists. No, no, no, no, this one was
- 22:15fourteen percent. This is thirteen percent? Thirteen yes? Oh geez. What
- 22:19is one percent less than fourteen? I was, but I can't use my
- 22:23joke. No, I think we'll correct. You could just come at it
- 22:27from the other direction. What is one percent more than twelve? What is
- 22:37the number of people that are going to laugh at this joke? Roughly thirteent
- 22:41of them? Damn well he's doing good now that matter, now that it's
- 22:45too late, Now you can't win. I up my game by thirteen percent?
- 22:52How much pride do the BFY T to B podcast have left? Yep
- 23:00accurate? Wrong? Now, I'm audre. What is the going to be
- 23:06the interest rate on student loans after the Supreme Court strikes down? O?
- 23:14Oh, oh, man, that hurts soul. It's sad, man,
- 23:18that hurt my soul. Glad to not have student loans anymore, I'll tell
- 23:22you that much. I'm hoping it's going to be the new super milk is
- 23:26the fourteen percent? It's like, just give me all the milk, man,
- 23:30Like, why am I only paying for two percent? Why am I
- 23:33buy a giant jug? And I'm really only paying for two percent of the
- 23:36milk. I shouldn't get like a lot more than two What percentage? Steve
- 23:41immediately forgot. I mean it was I'm still I'm still going to give him
- 23:45the point right away because that was too funny. That was that was fantastic,
- 23:48that was perfect. What percent is the new super milk? Super milk?
- 23:55Fourteen? The number before those curious? The real answer was approximately how
- 24:03much did Tesla's stock fall after Elon Musk hosted an investor day presentation? Straight
- 24:11No, he went and he was like, yeah, Tesla's doing great,
- 24:15and here's the other things and blah blah blah, and the investors went,
- 24:18nah, get out. Just started selling like crazy, crazy to lose that
- 24:25much in a single days. Yeah, especially just being able to keep a
- 24:29calendar, just for not being able to organize your own fucking life. It's
- 24:36all that cocaine, man, There's too much cocaine. So the gay laborers,
- 24:42Sorry, I jumped in the Gay Laborers A one game one uh and
- 24:48have taken the first episode point. They're ahead one to zero, but anything
- 24:52can change with game two, which is worth two points, and that is
- 24:55coming up right after this. Hey, I'm Lauren and I'm John and we
- 25:12host the beard ol Podcast, the podcast where we talk about two of the
- 25:17greatest things in the world, beer and beard all and a lot of other
- 25:21things. We're funny. Yeah, that's basically what I told him to say.
- 25:25Good job with Listen, yay Vanell. Seriously, we try to care
- 25:30a beer were weird Ol song and talk about both things and go for the
- 25:34conversation takes us. It's fun. I promise you'll like it. Yeah,
- 25:38I mean if you like talking about random things as well as you know,
- 25:45fine craft beers and some wonderful craft music. Hey man, welcome back.
- 26:02It's time for part two. Game two is an old favorite on b fy
- 26:06TW. It's what I bullshit you. I am not going to ask CB
- 26:11and Augie to come up with statements true or false about themselves because, as
- 26:15they have confessed to me in private, we're out of shite and Aggie were
- 26:21like, we we know everything about each other. Now there's nothing left.
- 26:25Yeah, it's just like it's just like David Mitchell, and I'm like,
- 26:33I still be on this show. Yeah, exactly. Um, So I
- 26:37am going to make three statements, and each team is going to individually decide
- 26:41whether that statement is true or a lie. To be the fairest I possibly
- 26:47could to the best of my knowledge, these two do not have pre knowledge
- 26:51about what I'm about to say, So you'll be on even ground. Um,
- 26:56and each correct guess is worth a point. Um, and the team
- 26:59with the most points wins the game and earns two episode points. And if
- 27:02you tie, you'll both get the two episode points. Uh so, here
- 27:06we go. Here's my first statement. I once got out of being handed
- 27:11a religious pamphlet by pretending I couldn't read. So feel free to ask me
- 27:21questions and interrogate me about that statement. Oh that's awesome. What a faith
- 27:33was it? What was it? I think it was just a garden variety
- 27:37Christian. It might have been Lutheran. I know there's a Lutheran sect.
- 27:41Yeah sect, sure in the area. Because we ourselves it wasn't you convert
- 27:53to Christianity. We have the best sects about That's how they get them that's
- 28:02how they get them, you, miss heart. I don't have a room
- 28:04shot about when was this recently? Okay, No, this was a long
- 28:11time ago. I would have been fourteen. I was working as a bag
- 28:17boy at the supermarket. I think I can legally say who they are because
- 28:22they're defunct now, they don't exist anymore. You say that next you,
- 28:26No, I'll get a lawsuit to my dress, all right? To say
- 28:32it rhymed with Moobilie. Ah, you worked at Bobie at the world's first
- 28:41and only strip club slash supermarket. Get your produce and have a little candy
- 28:49on the side with an eye by the way, lovely? Oh odd in
- 29:00any of it. Yeah, it was my first ever job, and I
- 29:04was I was being trained, and I stood behind my trainer and I was
- 29:10just bagging groceries while she was ringing up. And this this older gentleman came
- 29:15through, uh, and he tried to hand her a card, and I
- 29:18genuinely don't remember what she said to get him too. She's like, no,
- 29:22thank you. I think she might have said, I've I've already belonged
- 29:25to religion or something. And he handed to me and I don't know what
- 29:27made me think of it. But I just I just looked at it and
- 29:30I went, I'm sorry, sir, I can't read, and handed it
- 29:33back and he took it and he did like a double take, like he
- 29:37looked up and then he walked off. It's like, okay, I mean
- 29:44all right, UM, that's so nice. The funny part is like my
- 29:49trainer immediately turned around and went, you can't read. I can read.
- 29:57I had to fill out paper work to get this job. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:02exactly, you forged. Somebody forged this paperwork. Have you tried doing
- 30:07it again after that time? Did you do it more? Honestly? No,
- 30:11Um, it really hasn't happened since then, or at least when when
- 30:15they do try to push their religion on me that doesn't come with a pamphlet.
- 30:21That makes me immediately go, ah, I know what work. They
- 30:26got lots of feedback saying, you know, lots of people can't read around
- 30:27here. It turns out we got to have our conversations. Actually, I
- 30:33was kind of pissed because last time this quote unquote sort of happened as somebody
- 30:37just left it on my under my windshield wiper, and I was like,
- 30:38oh, I didn't get a chance to tell him. In any event,
- 30:44she just right on there, can't read and leave it. I don't think
- 30:52they come back to check and see if it's still there. I mean,
- 30:56it's just like absolved. Absolved. What's that word? Don't even try that
- 31:00one of you of like any wrong doing it? Like, dude, I
- 31:03couldn't do anything with it. I didn't put this year. See, I
- 31:06can't read? Did you did you say he has to write a message saying
- 31:10can't read? Yeah, until the person's gonna read. Go wait what yeah?
- 31:15So he can write, can't read, but he can't read. Dude,
- 31:17reading and writing are two different things. Like, I'll get to bless
- 31:22you, but poor he was better? Uh, I don't know. I'm
- 31:30like, we covered this twenty minutes ago. I'm special man. Wait,
- 31:37wait a minute. Always feel like he's gaslighting man, Like what are you
- 31:41talking about? Okay, we've only just met. But I love you,
- 31:47thank you, I love you too. He was very lovable. All right,
- 31:51I'm gonna say that's enough interriation for now. Each team should have enough
- 31:53information to decide whether this is true or I'm making it up. Uh so
- 31:57uh, and you get to the sign on your own, don't You don't
- 32:00have to take the opposite answer to the other teams you want. You can
- 32:02take the same answer. It just matters that you're right. So, and
- 32:07we will start with a team to be lost the last game. So I'm
- 32:12gonna make the gate Leaders go first. Okay, what are we thinking?
- 32:16This has a ring of truth to me, if only because when I worked
- 32:22in sales, this happened to me regularly. Oh okay, like people would
- 32:27hand me tract I did. I did take a DVD from someone. Yeah,
- 32:34don't don't need to read to watch a d d Yeah, I did
- 32:37take a DVD from someone about how the geography of Washington, DC was going
- 32:42to bring a devil a goat devil. Yeah, absolutely took that from someone.
- 32:51So this has an air of truth to me and my personal experience.
- 32:54No, it sounded true when it was like religious person goes after teenager.
- 33:00Yeah that so, yeah, well we'll say true. Okay, so that's
- 33:13a true from the gate leapers by what do you say? It sounds like
- 33:20something you would do. It really does, but then he'd feel bad about
- 33:23it after. The only hang up is his age, the fourteen. You
- 33:28don't think he was working. I think you were too young to be that
- 33:31clever. Now, he was clever as fuck when he was young. He
- 33:35was a wily little bastard. Um. Shoot, I think he made this
- 33:42up though. I think you might have him on the age thing, right,
- 33:45Yeah, I think that might be the only thing. Devil's Advocate,
- 33:47you made it up, all right, so byw is going lie? Yeah?
- 33:52All right, well I can reveal that this story is one hunder true,
- 34:00so points to Matt and Audre of the Gaily Greece. Very good,
- 34:07all right, that's great clever thinking for a fourteen year old. Stuff.
- 34:12It just came out of my mouth. I literally didn't like. It didn't
- 34:15occur to me. I didn't think about it. I literally looked at it
- 34:17and went, I can't read. So I feel like I can't take any
- 34:23credit for it. It just came out um in any event, so that
- 34:29really did happen in points to Matt and er. There had one to zero,
- 34:31but there's still two stories left. You guys can still catch up,
- 34:35and you had better. Okay, sorry, sorry, don't hit us again.
- 34:39All right, here's your statement number two. I spent forty five minutes
- 34:45alone in a jail cell and passed the time by practicing a song from Joseph
- 34:50and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I got a question, Yeah, what brought
- 34:57you into this jail cell being arrested mostly checks out. Yeah, it wasn't.
- 35:07It wasn't like a it wasn't like a visit, like a tour.
- 35:10I'm just like, that's what I thought. They generally don't leave the kids
- 35:14in there for forty five minutes. But I was like, out of the
- 35:16three of us, like, I was not expecting you to say, you've
- 35:20been to jail, stared straight. I'm pretending to not read. Uh.
- 35:27So again, I would have been very very young, officer. I couldn't
- 35:30read that sign. I was seventeen. Uh, and I had gotten into
- 35:35the very bad habit of um uh the word just suddenly left my brain stealing
- 35:43from stories and stuff. It started with like computer games, uh and uh
- 35:51it just well, it kind of stayed with computer games. And I don't
- 35:53think I stole anything else. What are you singing the Technicolor Jesus song while
- 35:59you were stealing it too? Or just for no no no? Um So.
- 36:02So this went on for a very long time, like several months before
- 36:07I got caught. I got, I got, I got caught by the
- 36:13security guys at a at a place that is still open, so I won't
- 36:16say their name. Probably put their logos of bull's eye um and friendly Yes,
- 36:25the friendlies logo, the big bulls eye. Uh. They took me
- 36:36into the back office. Uh, you know, they interrogated me. They
- 36:38called the police. Police came and picked me up, took me to uh
- 36:42the police station, and put me in a jail cell where I sat.
- 36:46It felt like longer, but when they pulled me out, they said it
- 36:50had only been forty five minutes. And then they let me make my phone
- 36:53call and I called for a taxi and went home, and later on I
- 36:59was arraigned and had to call MEC record and all that fun stuff. Yeah,
- 37:02what what was the value you do you think in total of the amount
- 37:07of stuff that you took over like a period of six months, probably about
- 37:15three or four thousand dollars at that time at that time, Yeah, three
- 37:22or three or four thousand dollars. And that's that in that one that one
- 37:25time I got caught, that one go on, that one heist would have
- 37:30been about ninety I think, Um, yeah, it was. It was
- 37:35never it was never a lot at once. It was usually just like one
- 37:37thing. I would steal one thing and then leave. I feel like no
- 37:39one's asking the important question. Everyone's focused on the wrong part of this story.
- 37:44Which song was it from? Technically dream cout? I genuinely can't remember.
- 37:50It was the only song I had because I played Joseph's father, who
- 37:55in the musical doesn't have a song, but he no, I'm mister Tim
- 38:01the music director. He brought me in on the song that all the brothers
- 38:07sing together when Joseph's gone. I don't remember the name of it, but
- 38:10it was my only song, so and I didn't have anything else. I
- 38:14was just desperately trying to get my mind off the situation. So I was
- 38:16just like, I'm just gonna practice this song because I got nothing else right
- 38:21now. How many items did you steal this time? It was two,
- 38:25okay, but in total unknown Jesus, so let's see, it would have
- 38:32been at like roughly fifty dollars a pop, probably sixty cool. I had
- 38:37a pretty big collection. And you were how old? I was seventeen at
- 38:43that time. I started when I was sixteen, started stealing when you were
- 38:45sixteen into seventeen. Stold sixty items. What was your bandit name? I
- 38:50didn't have a bandit. No, well he didn't call yourself something like that,
- 38:52like you know the computer game bandit. Also, yeah, he was
- 39:00panicking in a jail cell singing musical notes. I don't think he was focused
- 39:05on the branding. No, no, no, no, it's singing bad.
- 39:07What did the other guys you publish this in the crime report? Can
- 39:12you tell them my name was the slippery Weasel? Was not on my mind?
- 39:19Did not, It did not occur to me. We put the slippery
- 39:23Weasel on the jail cell and he starts singing. It's true. I did
- 39:30start singing. All right. I think that's about as much interation as we
- 39:37need. So each team again needs to make up their minds, and we're
- 39:39gonna start with Team B fy tw this time. Oh my god, it's
- 39:47just hard to think that you would keep going back to the same place to
- 39:52get stuff from I mean, I mean, I get it, but damn,
- 39:57that's a lot. That's a lot of risk. Every time I feel
- 40:01like it might be a lie, he does it. I'm thinking, man,
- 40:05I think this one's gonna be a lie. It just seems like you're
- 40:08a smart kid. Man, at fourteen you were like smarty shit, and
- 40:12now like three years later you're like on the streets stealing ship. I know,
- 40:15man, at fourteen you cann't read. So yeah, good point,
- 40:19good point. I had to turn the correct. It all starts of an
- 40:22education system, man, if we start the bottom right there at the education,
- 40:27so we can fix a lot of problems here. All right, years
- 40:30later, so you're saying lie, correct? All right? Uh, Team
- 40:36gate Livers, Uh tell me what do you think? Do you think that
- 40:38was true? Do you think I was fudging it? I'm personally kind of
- 40:44fifty fifty yeah, which is making me want to go with true. Just
- 40:49for the contrarian nature of it. Oh yeah, I wanted to go contrarian
- 40:53against Oh unless you read. If you really think it's a lie, then
- 41:00we'll just say lie. I don't have a I don't have a particular thing
- 41:07either way, based on the logic of the story, just on the thing
- 41:13of like, gad should I start stealing three thousand dollars ranging a lot?
- 41:21Like I would like to think that's something I couldn't get away with. You're
- 41:28not in a literate seventeen year old This life isn't for you. Let's go
- 41:34with um, it's true because that was your We'll say it's true. Okay,
- 41:40so Gate libers say it's true. Team b if IB has gone lie,
- 41:45and I'm happy to reveal that this story is a lie. Yeah,
- 41:51we're not horrible. I mean, it feels, it feels like a cobo,
- 41:57but the story is actually kind of fifty percent true. I did get
- 42:00arrested for shoplifting. That's the word I was looking for, and I spent
- 42:06I spent forty five minutes in a jail cell. But it wasn't Joseph any
- 42:08amazing techicolor dreamcoat. It was Charles Charlie Brown, and it was the song
- 42:15Happiness from Your good Man Charlie Brown. Are you serious? Yeah? Wow,
- 42:20that's awesome. Yeah, yeah, happiness. Imagine seeing a happiness while
- 42:23you're arrested. What's this kid on? Yeah, I'm fairly certain those cops
- 42:29thought I was out of my mind to look up see if this kid did
- 42:34any other crimes. All right, just make sure, all right? Uh
- 42:37So that's one point to each team. So this is either going to be
- 42:40the tiebreaker or they'll they'll both wind up with the same score. Who we'll
- 42:44find out as statement number three is, I once skipped an entire day of
- 42:51school by sneaking into a Model UN field trip despite never having been a member
- 42:55of Model U n UM for mass sidivocation. Model UN is a thing schools
- 43:01would do UM where you would pretend to be the UN. It was kind
- 43:06of like a debate club almost we did. We did Model EU, but
- 43:10then I think we stopped doing it now. Yeah, so I would imagine
- 43:14it would be very similar to that. But I was never remember and I
- 43:17snuck into the field trip um which cultry did you get you? Yeah?
- 43:23I was? I was Luxemburg. Yeah, I was Luxemburg, really inconspicuous
- 43:32country. I gotta sneak something kind of made up sounding Luxembourg export to be
- 43:42To be fair, I didn't choose it. That country was given to me
- 43:45when we arrived. I just assigned you. W Yeah, you're like here,
- 43:51you're you're a Luxembourg. I'm like, okay, cool. I guess
- 43:55good countries got taken by the kids. He signed up to the club,
- 44:00right, do you guys get to play risk after you get your country and
- 44:01take each other over? It was all it was all debates and you know,
- 44:07sitting around and watching people make serious statements about land mines and shit like
- 44:14that, and I checked the packet of information they gave me. Luxembourg had
- 44:17nothing to do with landmines. So I just sat there and went all right,
- 44:21sure, um can I get a drink? Sure? Yeah, I
- 44:29did give a speech. Uh that was fun. Uh each each each country
- 44:35was allowed to make a two minute speech on the subject. So I just
- 44:38went up there and just bullshitted for two straight minutes. I was like,
- 44:43you know about land mine Yeah. I was like, you know, landmines
- 44:45are bad. Maybe we should get rid of him. I'm just saying,
- 44:49you know, you know, kids, animals could step on those things,
- 44:53you know, and that doesn't need to happen. Up with how apathetic Luxemburg
- 45:00Internet, I was like, okay, thanks, that's my time. See
- 45:02you. Yeah. I mean just sat down and kept eating my chips.
- 45:07Um U Luxemburg seems pretty chill. I was pretty chill. I was like,
- 45:14I just had the whole day off. I'm just like sitting around.
- 45:19Oh. I was just asking if you had any core allies Luxembourg, like
- 45:23good friends with I seemed to recall the information packet having that information, but
- 45:30I really didn't give a shit. It was just I was just kind of
- 45:34like, okay, cool, you know this is fun. Um like,
- 45:38was it skipping school for a specific thing? Like were you writing something at
- 45:43school that day and you're looking for any way off it? Or just like
- 45:45fuck school, man, I'd probably do this. No. I think I
- 45:47was just walking along and uh if I recall the way it happened as my
- 45:52buddy Tim was like, hey man, what's going on. I'm like nothing,
- 45:55just just getting Randy for home room or whatever. And he's like,
- 46:00yeah, we're doing this whole model the un trip. We're going up to
- 46:02University of Buffalo and I was like, oh cool, can I join?
- 46:08He was like, um, you know what, we don't have a lot
- 46:12of people, so yeah, why not get in? And I was like
- 46:15all right, cool, Like what's happening. We're going for the day.
- 46:17He's like yeah the whole day. I'm like sweet signing him and I just
- 46:22gotten the bus and I was like, okay, I guess this is what
- 46:24I'm doing today. What grade were you this would have been? I want
- 46:30to say it was either ten or eleventh. I want to say it was
- 46:34eleventh because it did. I didn't give a ship like I did. I
- 46:37definitely didn't give a ship that I was missing class, So it must have
- 46:39been later in my high school. So I'm gonna say eleventh or twelfth,
- 46:45junior or senior. There's no way they were gonna let kindercarnor do that shit.
- 46:47No, this this was high school. These were all high school kids
- 46:52trying that. Most of them were very serious about their speeches, making me
- 46:55think they were going for political careers. And I couldn't give a shit.
- 46:58All right, boys and girls, now time, where's erin? Any more
- 47:02questions? For I shut the interior? Got one more? Did anybody attempt
- 47:06to start a war while you were at the year? No? Nobody declared
- 47:09a war. Um, it would have been funny. Uh. I wish
- 47:14it had occurred to me, honestly, you know, my classroom full of
- 47:17kids. Now one thing, I don't believe this story for a minute,
- 47:22But it didn't happen. No. Um, so yeah, I can be
- 47:24if I can be topical again kind of cause this, Uh, that bunch
- 47:29of kids would have done a bad job of running the world than the current
- 47:32paper from the world, Am I right? Am I right? Yeah?
- 47:37Ladies? Am I right? I mean they spent all day talking about landmines
- 47:43and doing absolutely nothing about them. So i'd say roughly the same, really,
- 47:49um, in any event, Uh So I'm gonna go ahead and cut
- 47:52the interrogation off there, so each team should have enough information to decide whether
- 47:55this is true or a lie. We'll start again with the Gately, what
- 48:02do you think was true? It's inspired, it's it's a great move,
- 48:10it's a classic high school play. It's very first Beulah, I love it.
- 48:15It does align with my understanding of like the model u N kids being
- 48:20really earnest about it, like like unbearably earnest about it. So that does
- 48:27hold true with my understanding. So yeah, I'm I'm I'm okay with a
- 48:32true answer. We'll say true, okay Gate Libris go true by t W.
- 48:37I don't know. It's something about it seems off. I mean if
- 48:42that late in school, I can see you skipping but not actually doing a
- 48:45school a thing, right, I mean, oh said to me um a
- 48:50model u N. Though, dude, I don't know, and no kid
- 48:53made a joke, and I don't know the kid that got him United States
- 48:58wasn't a complete asshole, dead serious. I was the only one there who
- 49:02was like bullshitting, like everyone else was giving these very like well thought out,
- 49:07you know, very serious speeches. They a lot of them had papers
- 49:10with them, you know, so they were reading their their their speeches,
- 49:14and I was just like just lead like one arm on the lantern or what
- 49:19do you call it, not lantern lectern lectern. Yeah, thank you,
- 49:23hey, making up words just to make your side. I am having real
- 49:27bad trouble with words today. So I'm just leaning like one arm on the
- 49:30lectern going land minds are bad, guys, you know, I'm just saying,
- 49:32yeah, yeah, pretty much, great Aaron. Now all those kids
- 49:38have very low opinions of Luxembourg. Oh yeah, oh yeah yeah. They
- 49:46had such high opinions of Luxemburg before before I showed up. I need to
- 49:54answer guys, Okay, we think no, I think you think it's a
- 49:59lot. I think it's a lie. Okay, team by t B says
- 50:04it's a lie team Gatelybris says it's true. So one team is definitively going
- 50:07to win this game and the other gets nothing, and the team that wins
- 50:13and gets two episode points is the gate Leapers. It's true. It's absolutely
- 50:19true. I had so much fun yeah, and I just didn't give a
- 50:24shit. I just kept going getting up and going back to the vending machine
- 50:29to get another drink and some more snacks, and I would sit back down
- 50:30and just listen to these people give speeches and just I'm like, I wonder
- 50:35how the other kids in the English class are doing today. It's groom.
- 50:38I got twenty dollars with the snacks. Motherfucker, just with my at soda
- 50:45and cookie. It's just the story. I party crashed. Hey, you
- 50:50mock up the hell? It was great? It was great? Uh so
- 50:54uh that is two more episode points of the gate Leapers. They are running
- 50:59away with it and I am disappointed but not surprised. Every it's like every
- 51:07week, I'm disappointed but not surprised. Gateleabers have three points, but BFY
- 51:14tw has one last chance to tie this up. We're gonna play game three.
- 51:17We're three points coming up right after this. I'm Richie aka Midnight Agent
- 51:31Raw. I'm Devin aka Special Delivery Dev. We're the Supermedia Bros. Podcast,
- 51:37and each week we give a comedically informative take on movies, music,

- 51:46Podcast dot Com, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or anywhere else that you
- 51:51can listen to podcasts. Shades on We're off. Hey man, welcome back.
- 52:08It's time for Game three. Game three is going to be four out
- 52:13of five dentists, no relation whatsoever to eight out of ten cats. That
- 52:19is a brilliant name. I thought you'd like it. It's the American version,
- 52:24that's that's that's the stat we always got was four out of five dentists
- 52:28approve. Um. I always wanted to ask that one guy, why didn't
- 52:32you join him? Um? Never? Cats never find out who the fifth
- 52:37dentist was. Hey, there's a great band name, the fifth dentist.
- 52:44I don't know. Write it down. Okay, we'll use it for something,
- 52:49all right. So our game is four out of five dentists. I'm
- 52:52going to ask five survey questions such as what percentage of Americans believe in ghosts?
- 52:58Blah blah blah. I don't know the correct answer to that. That's
- 53:00why it's a sample. But one team, one team is going to guess
- 53:07the exact percentage out of a hundred, But then their opponents are going to
- 53:12decide whether they think the correct answer is actually higher or lower than what was
- 53:16bid. If they're correct, they win the survey. Otherwise the original guessers
- 53:21win it. Then teams will swap roles and we'll move on to the next
- 53:24survey. First team to win three surveys wins the game and gets three episode
- 53:30points. The fy tw needs this to tie. However, Team gate Leavers
- 53:35could have a full shutout, which has not happened in a long time.
- 53:40We have what do you think called you? Do you feel like making history?
- 53:47I feel like trying. Okay, ad a girl? Add a girl.
- 53:52That's it's all you need to be on the show. The willingness to
- 53:54try, yes, even doing it wrong. All right, let's get into
- 54:01our first survey, shall we? According to an IKEA survey, what percentage
- 54:07of American households allow phone calls and texting during dinner? Uh? So I
- 54:15have the exact answer here. Uh, Team bfy TOW you lost the last
- 54:19game. So I'm gonna give you the choice. Do you want to go
- 54:22first in guessing the exact percentage or would you rather guess whether it's higher or
- 54:27lower? First? To come on, now, you can talk, for
- 54:32God's sake, like whispering into your buddies. You're during a podcast is not
- 54:38going to work, especially with his headphones on so he can't really hear anyway,
- 54:43you might as well talk to him in sign language. It's just as
- 54:46good. Don't actually do it. Okay, yes, sir um, we'll
- 54:54go second. We'll go second. So you want to you want to guess
- 54:58high or lower? Correct? Yeah? Okay, So team gate Leapers,
- 55:01tell me what you think the exact percentage would be of American households that allow
- 55:07phone calls and texting during dinner? Okay, what do you think? Go
- 55:13ahead and talk it out, ultra. You've been in more American households.
- 55:21Mine was not standard. I feel like fewer families probably do like sit down
- 55:29dinners, you know. Then yeah, my family did so, and then
- 55:36a lot of them are probably gonna be like chill vibes. Yeah, it's
- 55:39like the percentage that allows So I'm definitely thinking like above fifty percent, Yeah,
- 55:46but I wouldn't. I don't maybe sixty maybe like a sixty percent yeah,
- 55:52and then forty percent just hot asses who would just hardasses or don't really
- 56:00do family dinners, you know. So it's like that this is not an
- 56:02issue for me, but if they don't do it. They the kind of
- 56:05people who would allow it anyway, because they's such a rarity. Also,
- 56:08there's a big difference between like a phone call and a text. I feel
- 56:12like a text is like, oh yeah, I'm just firing one of these
- 56:15often still engaged in the conversation that's happening at the dinner table. Yeah,
- 56:17But a phone call definitely feels like business meeting. Like you know how teens
- 56:24are these days, you know, just now, it's absolutely those phones.
- 56:32You know, the teens. Oh, I see, you're getting yourself into
- 56:36the mind those teens and their phones. Seventy uncomfortable or don't say sixty,
- 56:45We'll say six, We'll say sixty. All right, it's locked in sixty
- 56:50percent, says the Gate leaders by t W. What do you think do
- 56:52you think the actual percentage is higher or lower than that? And why there's
- 56:57those who allow that allow that allows the percentage that allow phones and phone calls
- 57:02and texts like dinner calling me at all to begin with, let alone during
- 57:07time I'm eating. That would just infuriate me so much. But it's not
- 57:12necessarily calls. It just being on your phone, right, No, it
- 57:15said phone call and texting? Oh, phone calls antting, Okay, I
- 57:20think I think it's a lower number than seventy would allow it in I don't
- 57:24just just to keep things fair, they said sixty sixty, numbers are different
- 57:30in my brain. Um, I think it's in sixty as well. Yeah.
- 57:39The truth of that statement that numbers are different in his brain is,
- 57:45I mean cats does countdown answers past his brain goes to some other dimensions.
- 57:54All right, guys, what do you think? Man, it's gotta be
- 58:00lower, gotta be lower. I mean our households a little lax with that,
- 58:05but yeah, but it's not normally, calls me during dinner. Stake
- 58:10first, Well, uh so the gatelabers say sixty percent and by t W
- 58:15says lower. The correct percentage is fifty two percent. So first point of
- 58:22the game goes to bfy tw worlds run. Good start, all right,
- 58:27all right, good start. I will never score another point again. All
- 58:32right. So now it's gonna flip. I'm gonna ask bfy tw for the
- 58:36percentage and gatelabers you're gonna decide whether it's high or lower. On this survey,
- 58:39how stupid are we? According to mccore research, what percentage of Americans
- 58:46believe that cloud computing involves an actual cloud. Oh god, people are so
- 58:53dumb. I mean really dumb. It's got I was in it. People
- 59:00are dumb. Um. Isn't America in the world wouldn't say this is percentage
- 59:06of Americans? Americans? Oh God, they're so dumb. Welcome to this
- 59:15episode of Roast America. I'm sorry. I feel like I may have been
- 59:21somewhat of an influence. I mean, you're not wrong. At least forty
- 59:25percent have to believe that, right, I mean I trust your judgment because
- 59:30the older age and then the young age don't know enough. I don't know.
- 59:34To me, it feels more like a coin flip. But forty percent,
- 59:36I guess it sounds That sounds reasonable, right, you want it'll pick
- 59:39a different like a number with forty, like a three or some shit forty
- 59:45five? Yeah, I mean, you know, mix it up, make
- 59:49it difficult for the opponents or being a challenge. All right, See you
- 59:53want to go with forty five percent? Yes, all right? By t
- 59:57W says forty five percent of Americans thing cloud computing involves an actual cloud.
- 1:00:02This may be like one of my favorite servers ever, Team Gatelyabers what do
- 1:00:07you think do you think the actual answer is higher or lower than forty five
- 1:00:12percent? I think that the actual answer is going to be a value that
- 1:00:19I deem unacceptable. I do think it's going to be less than forty five
- 1:00:25Yeah, I buy that as well. I think I think lower, but
- 1:00:30it still will be shockingly high. Yeah, it's going to be an unacceptable
- 1:00:34value. I'm not going to request about this point or for saying it's an
- 1:00:38unacceptable value, but lower than I would describe it as disappointing but not surprising.
- 1:00:50We have a lot of old people. Okay, So team bfy tw
- 1:00:53says forty five percent, and the team Gatelybers say it's lower than that.
- 1:00:58The correct percent of Americans who believe cloud computing involves a real cloud is twenty
- 1:01:05nine. So yeah, like Andre said, unacceptable footnote surprising. Is that
- 1:01:15number going up or down? Oh my god? Wow? So yeah,
- 1:01:22nearly a third of all Americans thinks cloud computing. I suppose, like a
- 1:01:29lot of technology may as well be magic from the perspective of like not understanding
- 1:01:34it. But I mean I still know what NFTs are and I don't want
- 1:01:37to know. I mean, yea, yeah, well it's all it's all
- 1:01:39passed by now anyway. Yeah, man, I chose twenty five percent as
- 1:01:44a joke and now it's just sad anyway. So that's a point to the
- 1:01:50gate leabers. It's all tied up, all right, We're gonna swing things
- 1:01:52back the other way. Gateleabers. I need an exact percentage from you and
- 1:01:57b fy tw get to say higher or lower? According to you Gov,
- 1:02:00what percentage of Americans have gotten back together with a partner they'd broken up with?
- 1:02:07Oh? Interesting, yeah, what percentage of Americans say that they have
- 1:02:14gotten back together with a partner that they had broken up with? Now it
- 1:02:17sounds like a pole decision. But the first time, if I go by
- 1:02:28friends stats, um, that's one thir I'm trying to think of, which
- 1:02:34how many people in the friends group got back to be with people we got?
- 1:02:38Ross and Rachel sorry are very good friends. Chandler being I was going
- 1:02:53right along with it. I was like, Oh, she's actually friends with
- 1:02:58the friends. If I'm going by the television six metric, all American relationship
- 1:03:09questions need to be measured. YEA, Friends notoriously a very accurate representation of
- 1:03:17the entire American populace. I'm going to put forward that they're an anomaly because
- 1:03:23they just wasn't the point of that show that they just all have sex with
- 1:03:27each other and that was the that was the point of friends. But they
- 1:03:30start out as friends and then they all become more than Jeffrey, Joey and
- 1:03:36Phoebe. Yeah, yeah, Joey and Phoebe. Phoebe doesn't really get together
- 1:03:39with anybody from the group. She always has like wild cards. Yeah,
- 1:03:45she's she's the wisest. Yeah, still go with half. Screw it.
- 1:03:50Half of all Americans have gotten back together? Fine, a third you've talked.
- 1:03:55I still think that seems pretty because this is all people who date or
- 1:04:00just like old people in America. Uh. It does not say, but
- 1:04:03I assume that the survey was about Americans who date because like colloquially, I
- 1:04:10don't know anyone who's done this. So I'd say like fifteen percent, like
- 1:04:16I'd be much lower. Could we Could we compromise with a twenty because I
- 1:04:21just think I've just known stupid people? Yeah? Oh man, so your
- 1:04:32friends, so sorry, so sorry on behalf of both of us. Should
- 1:04:41we say like twenty four percent? Then should we throw up yeah, let's
- 1:04:44go. Twenty four percent is what the gate libers say. Good number,
- 1:04:48it's a really good number. Step and a W. What do you think?
- 1:04:54I think they use big words when they speak. I don't understand any
- 1:04:59of them. I know. I think they're talking in code. Um,
- 1:05:01you figure this out. Um, we have to fig us out something to
- 1:05:04do instead of whispering into yeah, oh this is just I don't know,
- 1:05:19fantastic. I don't know too many people that went back to I don't make
- 1:05:24that same mistake twice either, So it's gotta be a null number, like
- 1:05:27there's twenty four. You guys said, God, yeah, twenty four.
- 1:05:32I almost think they're right on it. Oh, that's gonna be dirty.
- 1:05:35They get two points, then, don't they like a bonus point or something.
- 1:05:40It just means you can't get the point or lower. All right,
- 1:05:45So how do you think captn A. I think the number might be higher
- 1:05:49than we could possibly understand. Even we could understand it, it's pretty simple
- 1:05:58concept. Why would you do it? I don't know, but a lot
- 1:06:00of people do. Maybe it is, so I think it's higher. Okay,
- 1:06:03fair enough, I'll go with ye. Hell yeah, all right,
- 1:06:09we got this. We got this higher, labor say says higher, and
- 1:06:15the actual percentage of Americans who say they have gotten back together with a partner
- 1:06:19they've broken up with fifty one percent. Ball say what, like, I've
- 1:06:28known a lot of people who have Wow. Really, and it appears to
- 1:06:34be more popular among the dumber ones. Nope, I mean one argument and
- 1:06:40I'm done. I'm like, no, I don't deal with stress. It's
- 1:06:43like, I don't need this. Go away, America. Respect yourself small,
- 1:06:48You don't need to go back to right. Deserve you. Yeah,
- 1:06:54do your own growth, like whatever growth you need to do as a person,
- 1:06:58and then find someone who respects that growth. All right, So by
- 1:07:06tw takes the point. They're up two to one against the gate leapers.
- 1:07:10But there's two surveys left. Uh. Here is survey note. You're not
- 1:07:15done yet. Here survey number four, and I gotta warn you these get
- 1:07:18sexier the farther we go. Okay, so, uh, Survey number four
- 1:07:24and b fy tw this is for the game. But you're giving me a
- 1:07:27percentage and gate Leapers are going to say high or a lower According to you
- 1:07:31Gov, what percentage of Americans say one of the bad habits that they wish
- 1:07:36they could change is watching pornography? Why would you change that it's healthy?
- 1:07:42And what these The specific thing I'm looking for is what percentage of Americans say
- 1:07:46that they watch pornography but it's a bad habit and they want to stop.
- 1:07:51Can't be that big of a percentage. I think I could think of as
- 1:07:55like a small percentage of people who just should not, Like they don't have
- 1:07:59the health to do that all the time, so it's not healthy for them,
- 1:08:01did not do it daily, did not do it at all if you
- 1:08:05have like bad heart cramplations, Oh bad, No, that's good for your
- 1:08:09heart. Cadio for those who can't run, you know, I mean I
- 1:08:18can't run high intensity interval training. You gotta hit it giant. I'm gonna
- 1:08:30remember that. I totally figure out what the question was. It was one
- 1:08:38percentage of Americans watch pornography but think it's a bad habit and they want to
- 1:08:43stop and they want to stock good like in the teens. I think it's
- 1:08:47in that tenth percentile. Tenth tenth, Wow, I was thinking teens.
- 1:08:51The tenth you're gonna give them that big of a window, like just ten
- 1:08:55mathematically, but just ten, Yeah, I mean Okay, cool final answer,
- 1:09:02yea ten percent? Okay, So gately, Pruce, do you think
- 1:09:09the correct answer is actually higher or lower than ten percent? Well, I
- 1:09:15agree with our opponents. I think it shouldn't be Yeah. Yeah, Like
- 1:09:20I feel like people America has an interesting relationship with shame. I think it's
- 1:09:25to do with all of the Christianity I reckon. Yeah, yeah, and
- 1:09:29so accounting for that, I would say higher than ten percent. Feel like
- 1:09:32it is a bad thing, yeah, because I think it's probably like half
- 1:09:36of half of um, half of men who identify as religious or yeah,
- 1:09:45and then a third of women who identify as religious. So we'll just we'll
- 1:09:50just say higher. Yeah. Also assuming if they're religious, they're probably sis
- 1:09:55and so like, that's a lot of assumptions, but I'm gonna probably say
- 1:09:58higher than ten I keep forgetting more extremely prude. I mean some people are,
- 1:10:05but we think it's a good thing. We think it health and good
- 1:10:11exercise. But well, um, so Gately, per se, uh,
- 1:10:15it is higher than ten percent? By tw says ten percent or lower the
- 1:10:20correct percentage of Americans who say that watching pornography is something they do but it's
- 1:10:26a bad habit that they wish they could stop is seventeen percent. Oh my
- 1:10:31gosh, wow, you're actually you were actually closer than you thought. I
- 1:10:35thought for a second when you said the teens that you were going to land
- 1:10:39right on it. You overruled them, Captain. Sorry. Uh so that's
- 1:10:45another point to the Gatelybers. This one's coming down to the wire. Just
- 1:10:48as an additional addendum, fifty eight percent of people in this survey said they
- 1:10:53watch pornography. So that's forty one percent of people who have no problem whatsoever.
- 1:10:58You're like, this is awesome. Yeah, I'm one of them.
- 1:11:00This is amazing. I think everybody should experience every type of pornography and see
- 1:11:03what you're into. I mean, I personally find it more acceptable than violent
- 1:11:09stuff. Oh yeah, I can't. Well, I mean because I because
- 1:11:12I because I physically can't handle horror movies and violent shit like that. So
- 1:11:15I mean there's that reason. But I also feel like, you know,
- 1:11:19I don't know, to educate yourself America. America has a weird relationship with
- 1:11:24shame, but they also have a weird relationship with sex. And I think
- 1:11:26I think I was just gonna say the same thing. You can't have a
- 1:11:29healthy relationship with sex and a weird relationship with shame. Yeah, like those
- 1:11:35those two don't work together. Yeah, all right, so it's all tied
- 1:11:41up two points apiece for both gate liabers, and by tw this final survey
- 1:11:45will decide it. Gate Liabers, you're going to give me an exact percentage,
- 1:11:48and by tw you gotta say higher or lower to this big bucks.
- 1:11:54Noami's noami, So let's do this stop. According to the Bead Bible Research
- 1:11:59Center, how many Americans have tried anal lingus aka rimming with their partner?
- 1:12:06Sweet? Everybody should try that? How many Americans have eaten ass and to
- 1:12:17be specific? To be specific, the survey specifies, given an lingus,
- 1:12:25so yeah, actually the one eating asks yeah, so how many Americans have
- 1:12:29eaten? Ask one and three? Right here, it's not your turn to
- 1:12:35guests. Oh you're helping or trying to be friends. Guess what one in
- 1:12:42three? Which which? Which members of that? I don't need to know
- 1:12:53about the two of you. We barely know each other. We don't need
- 1:12:56to know. I don't know if it works because I'm not yet an American.
- 1:13:01So why you can count in factor into the like, what is the
- 1:13:04statistics next your senses. I need to know if my asseaton counts for any
- 1:13:17Well, put it on your visa. If accounts, it's a it's a
- 1:13:23potential point for deportation presidents in time. So if we if we start at
- 1:13:35the place of a third, do we want to go like what are our
- 1:13:38thoughts? Yeah? I'm happy there because again, the thing it's like a
- 1:13:43I don't want to say it's a relatively new thing, because everyone has been
- 1:13:45experimenting in the bed like centuries. Um, it's just that recently we've got
- 1:13:51access to people electronic todays. So yeah, I think it's it's increased.
- 1:13:58Yeah, it's a mom thing. So yeah, I thought it sounds about
- 1:14:01right, like thirty three point three repeating, Oh shoot, or do we
- 1:14:06want to like go up, keep it, keep it to do two juice
- 1:14:10please? Thirty three percent? Yeah, we'll round down. Uh yeah,
- 1:14:15because like higher percentage amongst younger people, percentage amongst older because then there is
- 1:14:23that whole thing about like old people's homes. Oh yeah, they think he's
- 1:14:27hell all right, let's go thirty seven thirty seven in a row. I
- 1:14:36love it. Um, all right, So guys, this is it.
- 1:14:42This is for the game. Can you tell me if more or less than
- 1:14:47thirty seven percent of Americans eat as? I want to say yes, I'm
- 1:14:53so hopeful, man, I really am. It's higher or low or not?
- 1:14:59Yes or no? Yes? Please? Yes? Here is this delicious
- 1:15:03ass would you like to eat it? Yes? Yes, I would think.
- 1:15:05And what are your sides? And for your soft drink? For dessert,
- 1:15:16we have termism just whipped cream then and chocolate, sir if I'm good?
- 1:15:25Wait, what is the higher? A lower? Higher? Obviously it's
- 1:15:28higher. I mean, look at what we just went through. It's obviously
- 1:15:30higher. I'm gonna have to go with my co pilot here this crazy train
- 1:15:33I was completely broken. I think we're gonna go with higher. You certainly
- 1:15:42are um so higher than final answer? Final answer? Okay yeah. Gate
- 1:15:49leapers say thirty seven percent of Americans eat ass. By two says has got
- 1:15:55to be more than that. According to the Bad Bible Research Center, the
- 1:15:59amount of Americans who have tried anal lingus aka rimming with their partner is forty
- 1:16:05two percent. Yes. The answer wow, meaning of life. Yes,
- 1:16:14unslievable. Eating unbelievable. So with that to b F y two has one
- 1:16:20game three and earned three points and tied the whole thing up. Pully crap,
- 1:16:27ladies and gentlemen, it's a drawn ye, oh my god, ye.
- 1:16:34We don't have to find out which one of us is the best final
- 1:16:38show. We can say we're all amazing straight. Either that or we just
- 1:16:41have to keep coming back and doing this until we have and even then there
- 1:16:45needs to be rebuttals and you know, revengeance and oh my god stuff.
- 1:16:50So I suggest we just keep doing this because guys, this has been so
- 1:16:55much fun. It's been so much fun. I've had an absolute blast playing
- 1:17:01panel show games with our new friends, the gate Leapers. Matt Oddre,
