Drive My Car (Breakdown & Pairings)
This week we cover Ryusuke Hamaguchi's Best Picture nominee, "Drive My Car." We have a special guest who has read the short stories this movie is based on. After we talk about the book with our special guest, we fill in the background of the movie including a quick rundown on Chekhov's "Uncle Vanya." Following the background, we cover the film in its entirety, commenting on various themes along the way, then we each give a pairing or two. Thank you so much for listening!
